Tossing this in an ask cause I hate fandom discourse, but no amount of hating discourse could stop me from saying how fucking sick that Dora the Explorer comeback was. I genuinely laughed at that.

I'm honestly being such an asshole this week. Normally I'd take a screenshot of whatever dumbass reply showed up on my post, show it to a friend, go through a round of "Get a load of this asshole," and move on, but for whatever reason my impulse control is shot.

I don't particularly want to be an asshole, even though my natural asshole tendencies are very strong. I've done a pretty good job as an adult of tamping them down. I see other people online who probably get a lot of negative attention on their blogs, definitely more than I do, and somehow they keep their spaces really kind and positive and I am always thinking, I should be more like that, I have got to be nicer, I like being nice, and then eventually I fail. I act like a dick, I feel like a dick about acting like a dick, and I chill out for a bit.

But this morning I keep thinking--if you see a tumblr post that you disagree with, particularly one with less than 1k notes on it, and you decide to write a reply saying, "OP, you are wrong," whether or not OP is wrong, that was a rude thing to do, AND it's begging for an unpleasant response. That's a complete stranger. My posts don't have "change my mind" tagged to the end of them, and even if they did, you'd expect some pushback from OP, particularly if your argument holds no water at all or isn't even an argument, just you stating an opposing opinion like it's fact.

The best thing to do when you see an opinion that is 'clearly' wrong (and especially when that opinion is held by a stranger and doesn't affect you at all) is to roll your eyes and walk away. Block the tag if there is one. Block the author. I block people all the time for having batshit takes. I don't need to be reading those thoughts with my two eyes. Problem solved.

If I walked up to one of those dipshits at the farmers market with the big signs saying "evolution isn't real" and said "Nuh uh," I'd expect them to argue back for the rest of the day AND to walk away from that interaction feeling kinda shitty because what did I expect? For them to listen attentively as I explain the last 150 years of biological science to them? No. They were ready to "clap back" with whatever garbage they've been swilling, and to congratulate themselves for getting a chance to use those practiced clapbacks on the dumb schmuck who thought arguing with a stranger with an entrenched viewpoint could possibly be productive.

In this scenario, I'm the anti-evolution dipshit. I made a post on a public website. To be honest, I didn't expect it to get reblogged. I was vaguing a different asshole who made up a guy to get mad at on a different post of mine, ending up with them accusing me of harassing devs on bsky (and having parasocial relationships with them??) because I posted a meme on tumblr (...???). The post got reblogged by a more popular blog than mine, and the cycle continues as people show up in my inbox to start arguments with me and expect me not to call them a dumbass.

Whelp. My patience is shot, and I called them a dumbass. Can't say these people are helping their cause.

What would you say is the worst part of high school, period? The social aspect of it. I actually didn't mind lessons - in fact, I actually quite enjoyed that part of it, but I had un-diagnosed autism and really struggled with the social part.

Well, not really. I mean, I had plenty of good moments, looking back, it's just that mentally I wasn't doing so well most of the time.

I think probably 15th or 16th July. It's kinda silly, but basically, I went to a gig with my friends and we had a ridiculously good time. Then I was walking home early in the morning as the sun was coming out and just thinking to myself how these moments are what life is all about.

Personal: Everything is so hard right now.

Amoung the other things that broke last week was my bedroom phone which I need to work so I don't have to lever myself out of bed half asleep and wobble into my office area to answer the endless stream of medical and bureaucratic call people insist on constantly making while I'm asleep. I can afford a new one. The emergency back up is the phone that made it a tough twenty years, but now doesn't send the medical autodialers the digit 1 so they will stop calling me over and over. I swapped it in anyway as the crappy office handset I got used a few years back doesn't ring loud enough to be head over my bed room air filter.

This means I need to remember to carry the office phone in so I can answer that one when the first one rings. except that one has to be connected to the call the EMTs device on my desk. And all the handling has broken the plastic piece on the end of the cord so it randomly falls out. Also if i don't remember to move the panic box onto my office chair the phone won't reach and the box will fall panic box side down calling the paramedics. Sigh.

I forgot to carry the phone in twice which is how I discovered the intermittent fault on the old phone that cuts my voice out to the person I was talking to. If my car hadn't been broken I could have gotten a cheap used one at a second hand store, but that' out too.

I absolutely hate the new arm exercises. I am doing them anyway because I need an arm that will work post surgery. It's twice a day and I am being a grown up about it. i can absolutely see why these exercises. They are even noticeably working a little already. They still wear me the fuck out and I hurt and hurt and hurt. (It's not bad pain wise doing them, no worse than anything I have to do, but I stiffen up later and my general pain level will rise). I have to stay up for Thursday morning torture appointment regardless of how wiped I am because I'm getting bad shakes every time I'm not allowed enough sleep and then startled awake and I need to not have my entire neurological/muscular system freaking the fuck out and not obeying orders if I am going to my torture appointment.

There was no cleaner Tuesday, but at least the asshole agency called in advance so I could reschedule. I theoretically have four more covered visits between now and the 31st. They have skipped the last six, which is now over a month with no help. I am scheduling twice a week at the expense of sleep on both days in the hopes they will come once. Sigh.

I did successfully complete some Tuesday phone bureaucracy. Unfortunately, a place I discovered I needed to call after a call that ended at 4:37 actually closed at 4:30 despite the website saying 5PM, because of course. This meant I needed to stay up until they opened next morning, despite being exhausted from getting constantly awakened by phone calls. No, I can't unplug while I'm asleep because most of these are medical and include things like we need to reschedule your appointment til next month and they now take a day or two to reply if you call them back which means they are even more overbooked and they will return the call when I'm asleep, starting the cycle over again. It is faster to let them wake me up and get it over with.

I was exhausted and I really struggled to stay up an extra two hours past when I wanted to sleep. The call was frustrating and only one degree away from pointless. Sigh.

Six phone calls in the six hours maximum I had to sleep in, carefully placed to prevent relaxation or REM sleep. One was a long boring "assessment." Every single agency I have to deal with as a disabled person insists on waking me up to answer long, boring, intrusive surveys/assessments at least once a year, sometimes twice. Asshole Agency insists on four for some reason. I had just started drifting off from that when the asshole agency robot called me. So that's three Asshole agency calls in less than 24 hours, but no cleaners in a month. Just saying.

I was getting ready to go pick up Goth Millennial for errands and Squirrel told me there was no gas. Me: ?!? I put half a tank in Saturday night! It's my fault really. This was about two and a half weeks of gas for me because I don't drive much. His car is more fuel efficient, so I was thinking surely this would be enough for Sunday night to Wednesday night.

Bwahahahaha! No. Not even close. I should have been only putting in a gallon at a time, which meant trying to scrape together enough to buy a gallon with what I had on me as it was on empty and I had to go straight to the closest gas station. At least it didn't cut into the car repair money. I guess.

He is doing a favor lending my his car. It is his car and he needs it. I know what his executive function is like and he forgot I had Wednesday errands, so had planned to put more in on his way to work. It is 100 percent not any sort of rudeness on his part. There is a reason I'm mostly responsible for things that require executive function in the apartment.

Next time I'll remember. A gallon at a time covers everything I'm apt to do and leaves him plenty.

Errands were like this to. Lots of effort and frustrating results.

I would like to thank everyone trying to help with the car fix fund. I will find out likely late afternoon Friday if I will be able to pay any of my bills this month.

How many fic ideas I’m nurturing right now: So I have a document where I’ve written down ideas/prompts that I think I might write at some point in time. Right now it has.... 24 on it. A snippet of my favorite piece of prose: I put a little explanation on twitter, but this is from echoed on your skin: “He's about to turn twenty-six the day she asks what he thinks of being matched, both in general and to her. It's the first time they have acknowledged their situation to one another, and the short conversation that follows bolsters his spirit; having a Soul Match is odd for them both, but they will make it through.

11. Is writing my passion or just a fun hobby? It’s a combination of both. For now, it’s a very passionate hobby. That said, maybe sometime in the future it’ll be my passionate career.

13. Best piece of writing advice and why: Just write. Get it all out. The rest - the editing, the fixing stuff, all of that, will happen later.

17. Do I write a story from start to finish or do I write the scenes out of order: I’m a really linear writer, so 99% of the time, I go from start to finish. There are some times when I’ll get inspiration for a scene that goes later and I’ll write that down, but that’s not typical for me.

18. Do I use any tools like worksheets or outlines? For most of my multichapters, I outline so that I won’t forget where I want the story to go in the time it takes me to get there. For oneshots, I just go with it (though if I want to keep an idea, I’ll write one or two sentences about it so I won’t forget it).

Talk about my current WIPs: Of the stories/ideas I’m actively working on, I have the multichapter that I teased a couple of times - it’s a continuation of a oneshot that I posted a little bit ago. I outlined it to 18 chapters and I’m working on chapter 3 now so I’ll hopefully start posting that soon. I also have a season 3 fic that I started around Christmas time, so it’s a more Christmas-focused story. And I’m also trying my hand at writing a drabble/double drabble/vingette style thing for every episode. I’m up to 2x03 now, so once I get a few more, I’ll start posting that one. Oh! I have a fic I teased a long time ago but keep stalling on that’s a pre-series AU based on Castle and Beckett meeting online. I also have The Perfect Pairing, another meeting/job AU based on Beckett and Castle bonding over wine and movies. And I have a few other oneshots/prompt responses/continuations that I’ve got a few hundred words on respectively.

1.15.19 - Where I Thought I'd Be

So I just posted pictures of myself in 2009 vs 2019. Ten years is a long ass time - and it just reminds me that where I thought I'd be 10 years ago and where I am now are two vastly different places.

10 years ago, I was 2.5 years out of grad school, working my ass off (60+ hour weeks on the regular) for a theatre that I loved in arts education/tour management. I had been with my boyfriend for 3.5 years and living together for 2. Things were stressful, but good. I had a nice sized group of friends - some who were married or engaged, but none of them had kids yet. In mid 2009, I lost my job due to some restructuring and found myself questioning my career path.

While I had studied theatre and public relations in undergrad, I went to grad school for theatre management/arts administration, and had been focused on theatre education for the last 3 years. While I'd had retail and service industry jobs, I really didn't know how to do anything else but work in the arts & arts education isn't transferrable between art forms. I had to decide if I wanted to stick with theatre, find another place in the arts, or do something totally different.

I was fortunate at the end of the year to get a job in a small arts org,but this time doing fundraising, and I stayed there for almost 7 years.

Fast forward to 2019, and so much has changed. I've left the arts (for now) but still doing fundraising - currently for a University. I have an awesome career path ahead of me because of it (and my amazing boss). I've been married for 5 years to my husband (though we've been together for 13), and we own our (very tiny) townhouse. No kids yet, but we do have an adorable dog. Almost all of my friends are married (some have even been married and divorced and remarried in the last 10 years) and a lot of them have kids. My friend groups are pretty splintered, but I do have good people in my life (though some often get on my nerves).

Life is (at least on paper) pretty good, but I can't help but feel like this is not where I should be at the ripe old age of 37, and it doesn't help when I compare myself to people who I feel are "better adults" than I am.

We don't have kids yet, I'm probably a good 5 or 6 years older than most of my peers at work, we have some debt, and despite making good salaries, it still sometimes feels like we're barely getting by (deep down, I know that we're very privileged but it still feels like we're just not "there" yet). We don't have a single family house, and I don't feel like I'm doing much that is special or important. I also often feel like an afterthought to so many of my friends

I'm not sure if its that I feel like something is missing in my life or if these pieces would just add to it. Most are things that can be fixed, but sometimes things feel so overwhelming that it's hard to know where to start. This is where my anxiety and depression start to kick in & why I'm so glad to have made the decision to start seeing someone. Too bad our first real appointment was cancelled because of the weather.

I don’t know, recent experiences have made me realise I need to figure out what I want and fight for it, not settle for someone just because it’s convenient, or because i don’t want to be alone... because in the end, if someone is making you feel like shit for being who you are and it’s acting like you are not important, even though they’re willing to be with you (even if it’s just for the physical part) that clearly makes you feel even more lonely

I’d say my #1 fear in life is getting accidentally pregnant (i know that shouldn’t worry me that much if i use protection and stuff), i meant a good reason i’m so wary of having sex is because i’d go crazy just considering the possibility that the condom failed or something. I think this answers the question, i really don’t want children, idk if i’d be able to take care of a kid, and above all, i don’t want to. Every time i see a kid in the street or in the public transport i pray he/she doesn’t interact with me because i just find it so so so difficult to be nice to them, basically because i don’t know how . Then i also look at their parents, their tired look, and don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they love their kids and all but I don’t think everyone can find happiness in having kids, and I don’t think I’m one of those people that won’t feel complete until they have kids or stuff. 20. Are you religious? I already answered this so I’ll just paste it I’m sorry this is so lazy (i was raised catholic and as a child i was really really devote, i truly believed in god. But you know, as years go by, then you find out you don’t agree with a lot of things the Church preaches (being in a catholic school doesn’t help, i will never forget the day i heard a priest telling literal 7-year-old girls that their only duty in life was to have children). My environment was really really conservative and I was lucky to somehow realise how fucking wrong some of the stuff they were teaching us was, sadly, i still see a lot of kids in my school being brainwashed… it’s crazy to see the way some families think. Anyways, that contributed to me getting distanced from everything religious-related. Now i could say i’m somewhere between agnostic and non-practicing. I still pray every once in a while but i’m not sure if i truly believe it or it’s just out of custom, i just feel too hopeless and detached from everything to believe there’s something greater than us… this question is too hard!)

24. Baths or showers? I used to hate taking showers just because I didn’t have the strength to go through all the process of taking a shower but I’ve been trying to fix this mainly because 1) Personal Hygiene and stuff 2) Even though i don’t have the willpower to do it, i always try to think about how nice it feels to be clean after a shower, or how relaxed you are (even if it’s for a short period of time) after taking a bath. So yeah I don’t like either of them but they’re obviously necessary

26. Have you ever been famous? I haven’t been famous but I’ve been mistaken for a famous people more than once. The first time i was very young and a man asked me if i was that girl (idk who) that was on tv and I said no, and the other was more recent, last year, when someone mistook me for a youtuber

28. What type of music do you like? I love instrumental music, specially orchestral but i also adore celtic themes. And i hate to admit it but i love electro pop, the owl city - type, even though many people (aka my dad) may think it’s not the Best Quality, but i mean who cares at least I enjoy it

86. What are you allergic to? Ironically, I’m allergic to cats, even though i have 2. It comes and goes, and it’s not serious, i sneeze a lot, my eyes itch a little sometimes, but i’m willing to pay that price for my cats honestly

I do, but it’s been months since i last wrote mainly because i always feel like shit after writing, so now i can’t bring myself to do it, that’s why i post so much about my personal life in here, because i’m not able to journal but i also don’t want to forget about what happens in my life

90. What makes you angry? Anger is a weird concept for me. I get angry very often, but I’m angry in general, not at anyone in particular, I just find myself unable to get mad at someone, the anger instantaneously turns into sadness, so I don’t know what’s worse. If I’m being mean to someone (most of the time my parents are the victims) it’s not because of them, I’m just angry for no reason and I just can’t keep being nice.

Jesse has spoken to people about my being violent towards Snoop Dogg many decades ago in my garage

It was recorded and shown to Jesse while he was in jail.

This is the reason: Jesse is a full blown racist. He was in jail for multiple murders but he kept breaking out of jail at night then reentering/breaking back in. While he was out at night he was killing African Americans, Hispanics and India Indians. Many times he would take their dead bodies to my house and put them in my fridge, tied them to cars and tucked then underneath so that when the owner of the car drove off it drug the bodies behind.

Snoop was staying with me at that time and everyone was afraid, after Jesse had placed the head of an African American inside our refrigerator, that he would hurt snoop as the note also placed inside had indicated

At that time Snoopy and I began sleeping together (fully dressed) although I would wear a spaghetti strap top or strapless to indicted I was scantily clothed and Stewart Rutherford would go in my room and "catch us" sometimes snoop would be on top of me, as he climbed over me to go to the bathroom or as we set it up via the white friends we had.

So then Stewart would visit Jesse in jail and tell Jesse what happened. We had hoped if Jesse saw I like black people then he would lay off and stop. Except then we found a literal pile of dead African Americans in the garage. So obviously it didn't work.

So Snoopy agreed that I had to beat him up and that they would tell Jesse I was going to jail for killing all those people Jesse had killed in hopes that Jesse would confess.

For the record I did beat up Snoop. I best him very very badly. Much more so than anyone expected. I was so afraid that I used all my fear as strength. It was weeks before Snoop healed. He also saw Jesse in jail to prove that he had been hurt very badly.

I felt bad. I was very sad. Once again My family had been murdered and I had to hurt Snoop, whom was the nicest person ever and cared about me deeply. As a friend.

So one of his Halloween costumes in 2017 was him getting piggy back from a little old woman. That was what I did after. He was hurt so I would try to piggy back him to the dining table so he could eat dnner. He would walk to my room and tell me dinner was ready and I would send him back to the living room bed and tell him to lay down and sit up then I would carry him to the table. It was silly but I felt I needed to do that, for myself to prove to Snoop that I would never hurt him because of his color.

He prayed before every single meal. To this age of 37 years, the only people I can top of the head recall praying before I ate with is my gramma and Snoop. I suppose there's others but I don't do it myself. Like ever unless I'm sick. And that's not always.

I know Jesse doesn't know what really happened or why back then. And now I know he's ran his mouth. I thought I should say what really happened

I must say also that Snoop is a big fan of cuddles. We would always be laying on one another. Soon, may came to stay and Snoop would sleep with us in the double bed. Matt didn't like me sleeping next to any dude so he would lay next to Snoop. And snoop would end up cuddling all on matt, so much I couldn't cuddle with Matt.

Matt was all "I can't handle this perv sleeper" :( which I definitely argued about but Matt said he didn't like to be touched and he didnt. Sometimes he would hit me when he was sleeping and I laid on him. And he hit pretty hard for a little fat boy.

But Snoop slept with me because I would wake up when Jesse would be out killing someone or be near my house. Always. I always woke up when he was near. So Snoop slept with me so that I would wake him up, because he was a very heavy sleeper.

Snoop had just came for a visit but because of Jesse murdering, we felt it wasn't safe for him to leave to go home as Jesse would most likely go after him. So he stayed with me where I would be a type of alarm in order to be able to protect Snoop.

So Snoop is very respectful and said he would leave the room. But I was very worried about that. So Snoop began to sleep on the top bunk (I had a double/full bed on the bottom and twin up top) but one night I couldn't wake him up, so I had Mark begin to sleep with him because Jesse caught me trying to wake up Snoop. But he was pleased that I was in the bed with Matt instead. So he let Snoopy live but not after violence which left me screaming that the neighbors could hear

And so then Mark would sleep with snoop and because Snoop was so thin, mark would hide him under the blanket. But Snoop also cuddled with Mark. We would hear him in the night "Man! Get off!!!" telling at snoop to quit cuddling his warm belly. "Man! I'm only up here cause you ain't a nigger!! Not because I'm in love!!"

Snoop couldn't help it, he knew where the love was.

​​"What an interesting life you've caught me in the middle of...."

I caught myself saying this out loud a few weeks ago. That date overhead to be exact.

Life is such a journey. Such a process.

Constantly, we're growing, changing, evolving- never really staying in one spot or settling into one modus operandi. Have you ever heard the phrase, "A master piece and work in progress?" That's truly a concept I feel slips the mind of so many. Even ourselves. We know that we're changing and adjusting, but, honestly, we don't always agree with, like or desire the change we find ourselves going through. Sometimes that change alters us physically, and it may not always be flattering or pleasing.

And other times, we witness emotional, mental and spiritual transformations that either excite us, or frighten us. I've experienced this. We all have. (And actually, correction- I ​​am experiencing this. A season that rattles me because I don't recognize my spiritual surroundings.)

We all have those moments where you take stock of who you are versus who you used to be and find yourself to be a current stranger to the you once known. A stranger in your own body, a foreigner in your own thoughts.

​​When did I get so defensive? When did I become so broken? Why did I stop trusting, smiling, opening up? When did I stop talking, believing, hoping? How did I stop loving? When did I stop truly ​​living? What happened.... to "me?"

And you know what can be so damaging and yet helpful all at once? ​​M e m o r i e s.

See, while it's good to recall memories, it's so harmful to ​​harp on them. We were made to live in the present, it's why our breath comes and goes so steadily instead of staying behind in one spot that we have to consistently travel backwards to in order to reach. We were designed to live in the moment.

Those memories are a blessing. They're an opportunity to view and learn from every present you've ever found yourself in, every gift you've gotten to live in- so that you can walk a little straighter, wiser and freer in the next....but the moment you start harping on those past presents, you neglect all the undivided attention this current one requires. And you live in a duality that brings both anxiousness and confusion.

You bring a nasty case of comparison into the mix. We tend to split our time between nostalgia, trauma, reality and delusions of grandeur. Past. Present. Future.

The both good and bad times of the past, the ever steady action of the present and the unknown possibilities of the future. We live in them all and somehow expect our present selves to maintain order and a standard of satisfactory being that appeases each viewpoint.

Let me set you free here and now-

You will ​​never be completely like your old self- you've gone through too much. So much more than that self of even ​​days ago has experienced. I'm starting to learn and accept that, but it's hard for me on some days when I liked the old version better. What gives me hope, is knowing that God has a greater design for me that He didn't leave in the past, but lays peacefully in every step forward I take. If the past were better, I'd be there. But it's not. There was something there that was still obsolete, untapped and lacking.

What's more, you will ​​never be like your future self- they've witnessed more than the present can presently tell you. Secrets that God has purposed only time to hold.

And understand, your present self is constantly being prepared for the future and shaped by the past. They're under a lot of work. But that work is null in void if you don't allow them to soak up every moment they're in so they can pull something from it and be molded by it.

​​What an interesting life you've caught me in....

Who we're used to being and used to being known as, isn't going to always be the truth of who we are and will be. So set yourself free to forever be a work in progress and masterpiece all at once.

Set yourself free to live life and experience life as it comes. If the day is unpredictable, why can't your growth process be? Don't set restrictions on yourself. Live. What's meant will come and happen, because you have a sovereign God who always starts what He finishes (​​Isaiah 46:9-11). And He calls you His workmanship, His clay, His skillfully and wonderfully made creation in whom He delights.

Trust me, He has an attention to detail and His attention is all yours. You're worth it, and truly, He loves it. So be free, and live in the beautiful, yet startling vulnerability of being creation, where you don't have to constantly create yourself- forever loved and governed by Almighty above.

"12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me His own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything (in any point) you think otherwise (differently), God will reveal that (make it clear) also to you. 16 Only let us hold true (live up to) to what we have (already) attained."

Don't ever feel like you have something to prove. What God has put in you is intrinsic. The areas you walk into were made to build you, be a catalyst that sparks your nature and be a field in which to practice, hone and shine in who you are. You were created for those places.

Your only job is to BE. God will continue to sculpt exactly what that "being" looks like at any given moment, whether seemingly good, bad, ugly or pleasing. That's a part of Surrender- ​​ceasing resistance, submitting to an authority greater than your own, to give up possession of, to deliver up."

Give up your ideas of what you should do, who you should be, and where you should be. It's an act harder done than said, but it's a journey that is best walked with the Creator- who has all the finer details etched out and all the possibilities accounted for- purposing each one for good. (​​Psalm 37:23, Proverbs 16:9, Romans 8:28)

Do you know the difference between Evidence and Proof?

Proof is a biased concept. It seeks to discount one thing and support another.

Evidence is objective. It has no agenda. It is simply there, and its presence tells a story.

The story of God's existence is in the evidence of creation- our world. He tells us this in ​​Romans 1:19-20.

Trees, animals, the ocean, the wind, birds, bees, flowers, and even our complex DNA, they have never moved to prove anything. They simply exist and operate in their nature, and have been a consistent testimony to something greater.

We have sought for years to understand their origin and complexity, ​​our origin and complexity. They derive from the same Caretaker who clothes the fields of grass and feeds the birds of the sky.

You will always feel behind and be behind when you have something to prove.

God is always with us. In every moment. Living in the past or future holds no meaning, it's a trick of the enemy that keeps us between condemnation and striving desperately and futilely beyond grace.

​​"8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

I've had a habit of pointing to the past to remind God of where I can't go again or where I was better off. I also have a habit (which was the entirety of my 2018), where I take the snippets of what God has shown me He has for me, and I drag Him around and try to drill Him like a sergeant to get me there. The year was saturated with impatience, exhaustion, resentment, bitterness, envy, confusion and hurt.

This life is not yours when you're in Christ. It's His. ​​​​Galatians 2:20 ​​tells us that,

"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

And in being His, there are plans, achievements, dreams, timings, and revelations that He's taken on the responsibility to deliver and create. This is not yours to carry.

Why carry something on your own that God told you He'd do Himself? If He put it on your heart, it's for Him to do, not you. Why try to do God's job and be Him? How futile. We fail and stall out when we attempt to take His plans, make them our own and go running off with them.

There is a partnership called Faith. That leads us to Obedience. But we can't obey who we do not serve or even acknowledge. When striving in our own efforts, understandings, assumptions and desires, when do we have time and room to consult the One who prepared our good works ahead of time?

Stay steady with Him in the now. His grace has covered your entire timeline, but reap the benefits of the fresh mercies He purposed for this moment.

​​"22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

   his mercies never come to an end;

23 they are new every morning;

   great is your faithfulness."

​​Lamentations 3:22-23

Don't try to run ahead. Take it from me, it leaves you bitter and worn.

Be spoiled by the God who has already completed the works.

I still prefer face to face conversations but I’m grateful we’re given these endless possibilities nowadays.

31. What type of day are you having?My day has been an odd mix so far; a little bit busy, a little bit boring, amazingly challenging.

I’ve done a shooting with Brooklyn All Day a while back where they put a fake septum on me and I actually thought this look was pretty cool and refreshing, enough to briefly wonder if it would be something I could enjoy on the long run, but I came to the conclusion that it’s not too convenient in this kind of profession. When I was younger, I always admired people with belly button piercings, too.

1: Is there a boy/girl in your life? - Yeah man everyone has many boys girls non binary etc. people in their life .

  4: What’s something you really want right now? - Stability and confidence.
