Dear Diary (Part One)

Tero finds his friend's diary when they leave their knapsack at his place. The contents make his heart race.

(Yes, Part One, I'm dragging this one out.)

He shoudn’t look. Maybe just a peek? No, it’s an invasion of privacy! What about the way they look at him? Tero debates with himself as he snatches his friends diary from their forgotten knapsack. One page is all he would read. His heart skips a beat.

Tero flips the diary over to the back, splitting it open and fluttering the pages. He glances down and stops when he sees a longer entry. If he was only going to read one, it may as well be a long one, right? He points his finger down to the paper, and traces as he reads.

I want to be sealed behind his flesh and scales. I want him to eat me, and cradle me in his warm guts. I wonder what a naga’s belly feels like all around me-

Tero covers the words with his hand, clutching his chest with the other. Were they talking about him? He didn’t recall any other naga around? His mind nearly blanks thinking of the implications of the words on this page. Against his better judgment he continues.

-and what it would feel like after being in there for hours. Sometimes I wish when we passed each other in the hall he would pounce on me, wrap me tight in his coils and whisper in my ear about how hungry he is, then swallow me whole without a second thought. Maybe I’ll ask him to come over, for games and pizza, and do it then.

Tero’s heart feels like it stops. It was him. He recalls this clearly. Two weeks ago they did ask him to come over, and while he accepted, he couldn't stay long because it was a work night. His friend had been acting odd the whole time. This is what was on their mind? 

Tero catches himself idly feeling his abdomen. He hadn’t considered eating them before, but now. . ? He looks for another entry, flipping each page, scanning the words for anything that might mention him. He finds a short series of notes, scribbled on the page, frantic lettering with a deep impression to the inked in words.

He doesn’t know what he does to me when he smiles. His fangs are inviting, like a gateway to a comfy home. Yes, I want to make a home in his belly.

I want to start with my feet, so I can watch him consume me, so every moments lasts forever.

I wonder what I taste like? Sweet? Savoury? Spicy? I hope I don’t taste sour at least.

How long would he keep me? A few hours? Overnight? Longer?

It’s actually kinda scary thinking about this. I’m so short he probably doesn’t even need to use his tail, and once I’m in his gullet, he has complete control. Would I even be ready?

Tero snaps the diary closes, and places back in the knapsack. He covers his face, and sighs aloud. “What am I supposed to make of that?” No else is in the room to hear him, but if someone was, they would see the embarrassment plastered on his face. He coils around him self, trying to stop his body from quivering, “What is this. . . feeling?” He hugs his own shoulders, the coldness of his hands contrasting the heat like ice distentigrating on a frying pan.

He had once guessed his friend may have feelings for him, or maybe just an admiration, but this? This was obsession.

Or maybe? An opportunity. Tero has begun to realize just how hungry he was feeling, and how odd it was. It was a new feeling. The muscles in his tail were taught, and he could feel his body surging. His heart was pounding, and his breathing caught in his throat.

Tero picks up his phone and licks his fangs. He methodically dials and shortly, his friend answers.

“You forgot your bag! Why don’t you come over?”

He had to cover his mouth to keep from snickering.

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

I haven’t really seen any of the more recent U.S. election news hitting tumblr yet so here’s some updates (now edited with sources added):

There’s evidence of Trump cheating and interfering with the election.

Possible Russian interference.

Mail-in ballots are not being counted or “recognized” in multiple (notably swing) states.

30+ bomb threats were called in and shut down polling stations on Election Day.

20+ million votes are still unaccounted for, and that’s just to have the same voter turnout as 2020.

There was record voter turnout and new/first-time voter registration this year. We definitely should be well over the turnout in 2020.

U.S. citizens are using this site to demand, not only a recount, but a complete investigation into election fraud and interference for the reasons stated above:

Here is what I submitted as an example:

An investigation for election interference and fraud is required. We desperately need a recount or even a revote. The American people deserve the right to a free and fair election. There has been evidence unveiled of Trump cheating and committing election fraud which is illegal. There is some evidence of possible Russian interference. At least 30+ bomb threats were called in to polling places. Multiple, notably swing states, have ballots unaccounted for and voting machines not registering votes. Ballots and ballot boxes were tampered with and burned. Over 20 million votes that we know of are unaccounted for. With record turnout and new voter registration this year, there should be no possibility that there are less votes than even in the 2020 election.

The first is a screenshot with a link and information for contacting the White House directly regarding election fraud. The instructions include choosing to leave a comment to President Joe Biden directly and to select election security as the reason.

The screenshot then instructs people to include any or all of the following information in a paragraph as a comment to the president:

32 fake bomb threats were called into Democratic leaning poll places, rendering polling places closed for at least an hour.

A lot of people reporting their ballots were not counted for various reasons.

This all occurred in swing states.

This is too coincidental that these things happen and swing in his favor after months of hinting at foul play.

Directly state that an investigation for tampering, interference, fraud is required, not just a recount.

The challenge argues that a provision of the Pennsylvania Election Code takes precedence over the federal Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA), which requires states and counties to permit U.S. citizens who move overseas to vote by absentee ballot for federal offices based on their last U.S. residential address.

The full text of the challenge that was filed appears below this email.

You may respond to the challenge in any of the following ways:

1. Call the Bureau of Registration and Election at (717) 780-6360;

2. Email a statement to the Bureau at Election election@dauphincounty.gov. Any statement you submit regarding the period during which you lived in Dauphin County, any family or connections that you still have here, and why you are now residing abroad would be read into the record.

The last image is a screenshot of the official statement from the Centre County, Pennsylvania Board of Commissioners released on November 6, 2024 that states:

(Bellefonte, PA) -Centre County Elections Office is working continuously to provide mail-in ballot data in order to post unofficial results.

To this point, all ballots have been scanned, including all mail-in ballots.

Centre County's Election team and IT team have identified that the data are successfully being exported from the mail-in ballot scanners, but that the data is not being recognized when uploaded to the elections software.

Centre County's Administrator, John Franek, Jr. stated, "We have not stopped working, and we will continue to work until unofficial results are posted and reported to the Pennsylvania Department of State."

As a next step, Centre County has begun working with the equipment vendor to adjust configurations to make the two systems-the mail-in ballot scanner and the elections software where data are uploaded -compatible with one another.

I hold so much respect for Māori people, for their values and traditions, and for the fierce pride with which kapa haka is performed. I thought if I was going to design a Māori Miku, it makes sense to dress her in a kapa haka kākahu, as her whole thing is singing and dancing!!! The moko kauae is not based off any real person's. I referenced the temporary moko kauae a lot of kapa haka performers wear!! Was tricky finding out whether or not depicting her with a moko kauae was a good idea, so I went the safe route- showing an aspect of Māori culture without stepping over any boundaries!! Brown eyed Miku is everything to me shout out brown eyed Miku.... I referenced like seven different outfits to put hers together!! I really hope this looks accurate or at least passable. guys i actually beg of you to not let palestine become an unpleasant flashback, a transient tumblr trend, a hasbeen subject that just faded away. as an arab—and specifically iraqi—girl, i know what it feels like to have family displaced all over the world as a result of western imperialism. i know what it feels like to not be able to step foot into your homeland because it’s no longer safe. as an american iraqi, raised in the us and insulated from my roots, it wasn’t until last summer that i was able to visit iraq for the first time, and even then my family was worried for my safety—in my own blood country. although nothing like what palestinians are experiencing right now, it might be the tiniest semblance of what it feels like to watch your country disintegrate in front of you.

and this is a universal arab experience. i volunteer weekly at a refugee center that serves middle eastern refugees, and every day i see the longing in their eyes when they speak of where they hail from. it’s safe to say that we will be getting a wave of palestinian refugees very soon: just another generation of arabs who can’t inhabit their own country.

arab culture is so rich, so profound, so beautiful. i am tired of being told by the world—through literal genocide—that it doesn’t mean anything. please never let this be forgotten. free palestine. free palestine. free palestine.
