Vecna’s plan requiring Mike to leave for California means nothing. The number 1 following Mike cryptically at the airport means nothing. Them barely giving us Mike’s perspective the last two seasons (despite him being the original protagonist) means nothing and it isn’t setting up his POV to be revealed in s5 bc the entire audience is completely comfortable with where Mike stands as a character in regards to his deeper feelings/motives. No confusion there so no need to address that. Mike saying How will I survive a whole week without you guys at the start of s4 wasn't foreshadowing his fate at the end of said week. Mike standing in front of exit signs 3+ times in s4 is probably just a coincidence. Mike being associated with gaping mouths in multiple moments spanning the entire series, even going back to his very first line on the show, means nothing at all. Nancy’s vision about her family (Mike) dying was mentioned at the end of s4, but it didn’t happen so probably won’t ever happen, even though there’s still another season left set directly after the events of s4. Will calling Mike the heart and how without heart they’d all fall apart, was not in any shape form foreshadowing something happening to Mike and them all falling apart, bc Mike is definitely just a prop and everything in relation to his story only holds meaning on the surface or for other characters arcs and couldn’t possibly be hinting at something deeper that’s being saved as one of the many surprises for the last season.

#byler #stranger things #im sorry but ppl getting mad over speculation about mike and vecna is weird… especially when there's series long evidence…#like we know for a fact Will and vecna are facing off in s5 it's a given with the most basic ga being ready for it #it’s probably going to really come to a head in that final battle in the last two episodes #so early s5 and everything leading up to Will being confronted by vecna cant just be Will and vecna confronting each other over and over…#that would make their final confrontation anticlimactic #there’s a reason we keep seeing a chess board/dnd in relation to the events to come #bc EVERYONE is a piece in vecna’s game #EVERYONE plays a role in him reaching his main goal #back in 2019 if ppl heard max was a target or Nancy was a target in s4 they would’ve been confused #bc there’s little to no ties between the mindflayer and those characters #for a fact Will has more ties to vecna than them #HOWEVER them having no connection to vecna is not entirely true #vecna is connected to Max and Nancy’s trauma related to the person they lost because of him..#and he used that against them to be 10 steps ahead so that he can lead up to reaching his final goal AKA WILL #he could have just got will 10 times already but he doesn't do it that way #we could’ve not had any of the events in s3-4 happen with random ass characters #BUT THE REALITY IS VECNA WANTS/NEEDS CANNON FODDER #he needs ppl that are just players in his game to overcome to eventually follow through with his plan #Mike arguably has fucked over vecna more than anyone #he’s also someone that both Will and El care for dearly #there’s a reason vecna's plan required the great big love triangle mishap in s4 #his plan literally depended on that miscommunication so that they would have a false win #like y’all just seem to want the most anticlimactic season with Will and vecna facing off only…#yes that Will happen and it will be some of the biggest moments of the season #but there's other stuff that's gotta happen...#and tbh will is going to be swamped with venca/lab revelations next season #them pounding us on the head with will is gay in s5 is going to feel repetitive as we've seen that four seasons in a row...#mike on the other hand...

I watched 2×07 a few hours ago.

It took me an hour and a half to stop crying.

Then, another hour to compose myself enough to present myself as an even remontly functioning human being again.

#i am once again asking what the fuck happened between february and the first week of may #this is why i don't get how people can say 'oh im sure charles knew ahead of time he just didn't know when xavi would leave exactly'#when nothing he's said today suggests he knew? or agreed to it?#and the timing is bizarre like if this was the plan all along why not do it before the season started #and not 6 races in with no explanation #charles even defended him in front of the press yet again when they were fishing for information #asking if this will mean communication will improve which...... lol fuck off #they didnt even have any major communication issues this year and the stuff that happened before was a result #of general pitwall fuckery - especially in 2022 when the mismanagement and chaos was egregious under mattia #feel like im just yelling into the void but this is seriously pissing me off #say what you want about xavi but this was objectively handled very poorly on fred/ferrari's part #not discussing the issue with the driver is already pretty bad but not even informing him prior to/during the miami weekend.....#that's just fucked up #i can't see mercedes or red bull blindsiding lewis or max like that #even mclaren like afaik whenever someone else has to step in as race engineer for the weekend the driver is aware in advance #like they literally just cut xavi off at the knees to do? what exactly? shove him in some dusty corner back at the factory or wherever?#never to be seen again? yeah fuck them ugh

fellas im gonna be honest idk how many more 11 hour days i have left in me

#i speak #ugh little vent ahead in the tags #the problem is i need money. which means i need a job all year. but that job is teaching piano and i cant just stop when i get my summer jo #and i actually spend more time at work than i do studying during class terms. so its longer more exhausting days in the summer #like i can plan my study schedule around busy teaching days and evenly distribute the workload. mostly. but work is the same every day #and the thing is currently - not including the commute to my students houses- im really only teaching 4 hours a week. with commute its 6 ma #so i could take more on. and if i want to start saving up for when i move out i kinda do need to do that #but the best option then would be to start teaching on saturdays. spread out the work. and NOT do 9-8 every day of the week #but scheduling things with friends is already hard enough when i have free weekends. and i need the break #but also now im paying my mom rent because shes unemployed and financially irresponsible so i REALLY need the extra money.... ugh #just two more years of this then 5-7 years of low grad school wages and two years of residency then i never need to worry about money #or working more than 8 hour days #ever again!!!!

I think im only gonna plan my campaign up to level 10 then whatever happens happens. leaving the plot from there up to my players. your turn to weave the narrative bitch

#by which I mean. the campaign will suddenly shift from railroad to sandbox #there is a purpose and reason for it. and actually I am saying this because I planned this much and then realized #there IS no way to railroad anything after that #it is impossible for me to plan ahead what the party will do with what they know at that point #so. embrace it. their world now #well. in however long it takes to get there #this has been a post #this is why im tryna build the whole world before we start #like I could just be vague about it and only define the parts we need as we need them #but even the supposedly railroaded bits. how can I predict where and how they’ll go off the tracks?#and like a better question is WHY did I decide to build a whole damn world instead of using something prewritten #and well. the answer is quite simple. and also twofold #a) I haven’t found a prewritten campaign that I want to run (that someone isn’t already running for me)#b) there’s a specific element of this world I want to explore that can’t be transposed into an existing setting #so. here I am. researching Roman agriculture #dnd

#when i was in middle school i used to use red and black pens + spit for blending to make it look like the backs of my hands were torn open #i can't believe it's almost 4am. i just spent 5 hours typing up an essay about MM's erik that i just fuckin privated bc i was embarrassed #AND I STILL NEVER SPELL HIS NAME RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AAAAAAAA #i was right but im going to save all my points for the fanfic im currently planning out and promptly NEVER GOING TO ACTUALLY WRITE #I say shoving my plans for my h2o s3 rewrite off the table #yes i skipped from s2 to s3 i had a BRILLIANT idea [season 3 h2o spoilers ahead be wary my mutuals who are still watching]#okay so you know how lewis goes to the american institute of marine bio in the middle of 3? since this is tied to my s2 rewrite fic i wante #to actually finally reasonably re-introduced dr denman to the story because i never liked that she just fucked off at the end of s1 #despite WITNESSING the moon pool magic. so i made it so she runs into lewis while doing a presentation for the college and they have a chat #(because her JAW paper plays an important part in my s2 rewrite bc i imagine lewis is the kind of guy who SAYS he deleted every copy of #it... but ACTUALLY he secretly printed himself out a copy to study in private to compare to his own notes bc #[lewis voice] come *on* guys just THINK of the progress that he could make with this! [grabby hands in front of chest])#so yeah they have a chat and Linda kind of gives Lewis the opposite dilemma in s3 that Louise gives him in s1 about science and magic #since SHE knows about the moon pool and has been biding her time and she knows Lewis knows and Lewis is like ah... uh oh.#it will eventually tie into the idea it's not about forcing science and magic together or separating them #its abt respectfully and responsibly utilizing both to see their fullest potential. which lewis learned in s2 and Linda has... not.#BUT #later on she gets a call from 1 (one) ryan who is like 'hey so i heard u did environmental studies on mako for dr bennett a couple years ag #and i was wondering if you've seen anything weird there as im currently doing a-' and she's immediately like 'YOU SON OF A BITCH IM IN'#and he's like 'wha-' and she's like 'i have already booked my plane tickets we're going to have a great time we have lots to talk about :)'#and wheeee now they have someone who knows about mermaids on their team and it's the perfect way to bring lewis back to relevancy in s3 :D #it also gives me reason to have two bad bitches (linda and sophie) meet and get to know each other which is not a dynamic ive seen in #any of the H2O fics i've ever read so im very hyped to delve into how they'll play off each other #also charlotte is there so technically three bad bitches (only in my au Charlotte never lost her tail and is part of the gang she just move #because she felt like she needed to leave to really be able to find herself without being in her grandmother's shadow but she comes back bc #well... it's season 3 mako is sounding the fucking emergency alarms everyone is showing up sdkghkfjhg)#im also so so so hyped to show u guys who's coming back in the s2 rewrite because it ISNT denman and i think everyone thinks it will be :3c #(i said she when telling ppl to look forward to a familiar face... but can u blame me for getting hype she's one of my favorite characters!#i love u H2O #cruddy rambles
