Rambley's been workin' on the tracks since forever, but I met him back when we were both just startin' out. We got to talking while I was riding out somewhere far, and we just couldn't stop! We just clicked so well together we kept in touch.

Lloyd has always been a part of the community of explorers, so when I first started out and started asking around on how to adventure he took me under his wing and taught me a bunch of what I know now! I kept in touch since he was so much more experienced and knowlegeable, and we've been friends ever since!

Salem arrived in Aviary Station one day and never left. They run a niche market, selling really high quality potions; we started talking 'cause I bought so many potions that one time - we became friends after they decided to treat me to dinner as thanks!

We all know im the resident "defending Lloyd" girlie. However. I cannot defend him in his teaching method when it comes to Arin.

Lloyd, I love you, but telling your student who is CLEARLY struggling with self esteem that he is "going to be a better ninja" than the literal saviors of Ninjago, Arin's idols since he was a young boy...

Urggh it hurts because that's not the reassurance that Lloyd thinks it is and it's only contributing to and fueling Arin's feelings of inadequacy because he feels like he has to live up to Lloyd and the other Ninjas legacy.

Of course, this is kind of multi-faceted because Lloyd grew up as a destined hero prodigy and being told that he was going to be the greatest. It's normal for him... and it "worked", to some degree. So why wouldn't it work for Arin?

I think Lloyd needs to stop "reassuring" Arin and actually sit down and listen to him. If he just listened, it would help Arin so much. But Lloyd isn't listening. It's like every time Arin essentially pleads for help, Lloyd just shuts him down because of what he could be.

It's just so beautifully tragic.

i read a LOT, both fic and published books. in general, i have two genres that are my go-to's: romantic comedies and fantasy adventures. (now this doesn't mean high fantasy, cause i'm not a LOTR girlie, but if a story has rich lore with a soft magic system IM ALL ABOUT IT)

i'd recommend reading ANYTHING by Casey McQuinston for romantic comedies - i love their style SO MUCH. the way they go from writing dumbass humor to heartfelt romantic moments is just UGH CLENCHES FIST SO GOOD. for fantasy i can never get enough of Emily Lloyd-Jones. she's not super well known but she freakin' SHOULD BE, every time i read one of her books i'm in the ground for seven business days, she's so talented at creating magic systems.

i'm in quite a few fandoms and read a variety of ratings, so asking for a fic rec is kind of hard without knowing which shelf to grab from lol. HOWEVER, the fics that inspire me the most tend to shatter my world and rebuild it into something more beautiful. i'll list some of them here:
