Siiiiogghhhhhhhh. I just woke up to this, and the only thing I gotta say, is Alux is so autistic about that firebird.

But everything else is just character and world building. Nice and cozy, like the tavern. But story progression wise, it doesn't give us *a lot*. It does give us some things, like adding character to deer and rocky (because they've been pretty neglected since introduction), and there is that one snippet of the Wisp and petro at the beginning. But like, the title of the episode seems off. Like the presentation first hand, and then the actual content don't line up, so I can only assume that the title and thumbnail are meant to foreshadow something bigger in ep 19 or 20.

My best prediction is that 19 is going to be Petro centric. And 20 is going to be the season finale with the honeybee festival, and some goes horribly wrong because of some sort of butterfly affect by Petro, kicking off season 2 with Alux having to now find out what's going on in cozen. (And of course the gang going along with him.)

hello hello! I hope you don't mind me dropping by but I just want to say I love your art so much, the way you draw vashwood is just so sweet and tender but can I just ramble about the way you draw Vash especially? More specifically, the way you draw his expressions when he's looking at Wolfwood???

I just LOVE the way you draw Vash's expression because the way you make him look at Wolfwood is so soft 😭😭😭. There's just something about it that's so tender, like whenever I look at Vash's expressions in your art I just think "that is genuinely someone who loves another person with all their heart" and it just mends and breaks my heart at once, you capture Vash's love for Wolfwood in ways I can't explain 👏

It's unbridled love mixed with the fear of hurting Wolfwood in their relationship. It's wanting to spill so much affection but holding back in fear of messing up. He looks at Wolfwood like he's longing for him so earnestly be it pre-relationship or even when they're already dating it's just so??? 💕💕💘💞💖💖💞💕

There's just something so tender and heart wrenching at the way Vash looks at Wolfwood in your art, it gets me really emotional and I hope you have a lovely day/night for real <33!!!

he's the kind of person that has to hold back in both words and touch when it comes to love, when it comes to wolfwood, but i think it's a difficult emotion to restrain, especially when wolfwood is kind enough to let it be.

ultimately, what they're allowed to have is the inevitable shared spaces during their travels, it's the other's physical presence, being next to wolfwood, being able to take him in through the way he simply exists. smelling smoke, seeing smoke, seeing the cigarette between his fingers, seeing the crosses littered across his person, the rosary snug around his neck, his scruff at his chin, messy bangs, messy hair, tired eyes, the canine that peeks when he speaks, and a voice carrying heavy words, but honest, and kind, and one vash could never get tired of hearing, like how he'd never be tired of just looking at wolfwood.

it's of gratitude, it's of sorrow, it's of grief, it's of love, praise, adoration, it's desperate and it's full of yearning. at first, it's a gaze he feels he has to be satisfied with until he's learned that he's allowed for more and at that point, when wolfwood has given him so much, how could he look at him in any other way?

in any case, i def like to make it known and parade around vash's deeeeeep deep deep feelings of love towards wolfwood, so i'm very happy to know i can express that clearly through his expression alone. i Also just love wolfwood so maybe the projection goes from the heart of the artist to the heart of the art.

i ended up collecting a few caps of his expressions just out of curiosity for myself :3 i have much to improve still, i'll keep on drawing vash's loving self until i can get the ultimate loving expression down!!

I feel like much of the fallout fandom has a very “my way or the high way” line of thinking. its either “this incredibly flawed faction is actually based for everything they do, no question” or “if you like this incredibly flawed faction for any reason and play their ending you are a terrible person”

but to truly understand a fallout faction in order to break down what makes it the way it is, you should play through their ending. even if your opinion on them doesnt change in the end. its important to know about how they work, how they think, what they do and have done.

because no matter which way of thinking you are, you get to see All Sides of the faction. the good and the bad. for instance legion fans will always say the ncr is bad because taxes and bullying local towns into joining their territories etc. but like. the legion commits daily cultural and Actual genocide. AND they have tribute, which is just their fancy word for legion taxes.

or the lyons chapter of the bos. they are nicer most of the time, they are more helpful than other chapters, but they still have GLARING issues. elder lyons is so focused on eliminating super mutants that it becomes an obsession that blinds him to the other ways he could help the capital wasteland. the fact that the bos wasnt interested in helping the people dying of thirst and radiation poisoning from the water until doctor li showed up and said james had done all the leg work for them. but even then lyons was hesitant, and only jumped into action when she said the enclave controlled the purifier now. and then STILL sends the lone wanderer for the geck with no backup unless the player actively seeks out star paladin cross.

you have to read into these things. blindly following a faction and ignoring their problems is why the old world was so shit leading up to the great war. the government cracked down on free thinking, unionizing was illegal and was considered literal treason. chinese americans were treated like shit and some were put into concentration camps. all the fear, all the propaganda, all the racism and hate and scummy corporations brought down the old world and left us with the wasteland we all know today.

and yet so many fans these games have somehow attracted completely miss that message and repeat the same line of thinking that blew the world up in 2077. its nuts. the whole franchise and its lesson. right over their heads. they are willing to ignore it because wow cool giant robot! wow cool guns that turn people to goop! wow based mummy man! wow cool ranger armor!

i have such high expectations for series things because aru sekai series itself has so much thought & detail & care put into it. it might read as nonsense at first but the more u pay attention the more context u get the more everything starts to click & make sense. a very fun way to use a medium to tell a story. theres a lot of other vocasong series but the dedication to minute details & throwing context in the background of mvs while otherwise being relatively simple mvs & just the constant tying things together theres just SO much to aru sekai series as a whole & individually & to see marshall maximizer get reduced to "fun currently popular voca song" does make me sad. its not an easy series to get into but also u are missing out on so much

my voice started changing SO fast on T like the first changes i noticed were around three weeks and now it's been like six-ish weeks on 0.3 (a pretty low dose) and my voice is noticably deeper and cracking when i try to pitch it too high. really wasn't expecting this to happen for like a year im really pleased :)

Have u considered going to the states to get top surgery ? I know it would be expensive and I do not know the logistics of it all but maybe look into it ? I apologize if I am being stupid but it just sucks to hear how bad it is in NZ, and although it's not better in America - we do have more top surgeons available

I have no clue tbh, I considered it before but couldn't really find resources on it, whereas Thailand has way more information on the process and ig success stories of ppl getting their surgeries done. I can only imagine going to the US for this would be super convoluted and tricky lmao but I could be wrong.

But yeah it blows here haha, there were more resources in the big cities prior, like groups to help crowd fund for people's surgeries, the public waitlist that's government funded, 2 other surgeons ect. But those don't exist anymore and they had to close the public waitlist because people have been waiting on it for almost a decade. They increased the fund to get through the list faster but they maybe fufill about 9-13 ish surgeries a year, there's 400 or so people on the list ☠️

I don't know much about poinsettias, but this article on davesgarden has some care tips! There's more than one article on the site, just search "poinsettia" in the search bar. Davesgarden is a pretty good resource for plant care for any plant tbh, because if an article gets something wrong there WILL be people in the comments arguing about it lmao, and often comments on articles or on plant pages offer more insight. It's where I learned to first care for succulents.

Anyway, from the little research I just did, the most likely reason for your poinsettias "dying" is that they're actually deciduous plants and enter a period of dormancy right after Christmas, so they'll drop their leaves and flowers and look like they're dying but it's just like any deciduous tree shedding their leaves for winter. Also, in the wild they actually grow as small trees.

If you already know about dormancy and you're talking about your plants actually dying-dying, then another reason could be 1. they don't have enough drainage, 2. they're in the wrong soil. I'm grouping them together because they're both related to the potting medium. MOST LIKELY, the reason is drainage. Just repot them in a pot with drainage holes. I'm guessing if you just take off the fancy wrapper they're sold in, the pot that they came in probably will have drainage holes, they were just trapped by fancy wrapping paper. Poinsettias don't like too much water, and, much like orchids, they need adequate drainage. Too much sitting water in their pots = bad. They will rot.

And in terms of soil... I've mentioned before that most potting soil is actually peat, but their natural environment is in dry tropical forests in mexico, clinging to sheer cliff faces. Think the walls of the Grand Canyon. Because I always go Too Deep with these things, I found the original paper that used genetic sequencing to trace cultivated poinsettias to a specific population in Northern Guerrero, Mexico. Which, btw, is actually an outlier in terms of wild poinsettia populations, because that region is much further inland. Most wild poinsettias grow on the coast. Anyway. I'm getting sidetracked. What I mean to say is: their wild environment is not in wetlands, which peat is great at mimicking, because peat is made in wetlands. Normal potting soil might be too dense + hold too much water, especially if you live in a humid environment. They like being consistently moist, but they hate being wet.

Luckily, this is easy to fix. Just get a bag of perlite (look up gardening centres/greenhouses near you if you don't know where to get perlite) and mix some in with your soil. You can mix in compost and sand if you want to get fancy but that's for the people who like making their own dirt. If you're like "that is way too complicated", congrats on being normal, and also, just get the perlite. The rest is unnecessary.

Though, tbh, with adequate drainage I doubt you'll even need to add perlite? Peat is pretty good at "moist, but not soggy" as long as it's not waterlogged. If you water your plants with a saucer under the pot, dump out the extra water after 10 minutes, or water from the bottom. But, again, the most likely reason is that your plant is just going dormant. Leave them alone until mid spring and give them less water than usual and they should perk back up :) April is when leaves start coming back I think? But don't quote me on this. I know April and August are the best months to prune them, and spring pruning is usually timed when trees and shrubs first start budding, so.

I started with succulents like everyone else but tbh orchids are rapidly becoming my plant blorbos. Everyone takes care of them wrong and it's not your FAULT because the care instructions that come with them are!! Incorrect!!! If you do what they say then your orchid will die!!!! If you give them the right environment they're SO easy. They're such easy plants to grow. They have been UNFAIRLY SLANDERED by a MISINFORMATION campaign. They don't deserve this.
