I need more people talking about how the ideal thematic party is Wyll, Karlach, and Astarion. All three bound in the shackles of servitude in some capacity, all three in some stage of being sold to hell.

Karlach and Astarion being two sides of the same coin. Years of servitude, physical and emotional torment, and rage under their belt. Nothing but the burning desire for revenge and the desperate ache to live flowing through their veins. They're both drunk on freedom and life. They get the other person, despite responding to their new found freedom in completely opposite ways. You can see it in their banter though. They get it. There is not a lot of judgement between them. If Karlach needs to laugh hysterically because she's here on the material plane, walking in the sun, and just can't believe it? Astarion can't even bring himself to judge.

But Wyll? Wyll is careening towards joining them in their suffering. He's got one foot in the door. He already knows a little of the pain that comes with being on the end of a leash, but he has only just begun to fully feel the consequences he is destined to face. The thing about Wyll though is he's desperate to save everyone but himself. He's quick to back Karlach and Astarion in their fights against their tormentors. But when it comes down to it he's fairly passive in his quest to free himself of Mizzora. Atleast in my experience, it fell to Tav to capitalize on oppurtunities to out think her. It fell to Tav to push him to TRY. That's not a critique on Wyll, but when you put that thematically next to Karlach and Astarion who are near feral in their desperation for freedom- it is really interesting. And it's easy to imagine the two of them becoming determined to ensure he doesn't fall victim to the same fates they did. He's trying to save them, while they're trying to save him.

Or, countering my own point, imagine how frustrating that would be for Karlach and Astarion. Knowing that this great guy, this larger than life hero who always has a silly pun and a dashing smile on hand- doesn’t seem to understand the gravity of his situation. He’s still smiling. He’s still soldiering on as though nothing is wrong. He’s not taking the initiative to escape it, and he’s not coming up with any possible solution. He’s content to keep spending his time helping people and putting them before his own needs. Now, Wyll isn’t necessarily as fine as he seems. He’s by no means ignorant of or unafraid of the fate that awaits him. But he puts on a good front, with that big old Charisma modifier of his. And I imagine that could easily drive Astarion and Karlach mad.

That’s without going in to the fact that Astarion has an infernal pact carved on his back, and will be sold to hell as well if he doesn’t find a solution. And he hits the ground running the moment he finds out. He is not about to let that happen, and goes to great lengths to find out how to fix the situation. So there is a contrast with Astarion and Wyll not only in their reaction to their own tormenter’s, but with their goal of evading hell.

Because of how each of these guys’ situation is so closely related to their own, I think many moments would arise of stepping on each other’s toes while processing their trauma. Karlach and Astarion know better than most what Wyll is going to go through if he doesn’t take this seriously, and he makes PUNS? If they could go back to the day before their lives changed forever, they would do everything possible to make sure it never happened. They didn’t get a warning. He has his written on paper. In glowing ink. There could be so many incredible arguments between these three because personality wise- more often than not it would be Karlach and Wyll agreeing. Which would make the moments Karlach ends up siding with Astarion because Wyll made light of something at the wrong time all the more poignant. Karlach and Astarion agreeing on something and being a united front trying to drag Wyll to action would be such a powerful scene.

It becomes even more fun when you consider their personalities. Wyll and Karlach being the indisputably kindest characters of the group, but being so narratively tied to the one who is morally bankrupt. When someone is altruistically good and helps people for no reason Astarion usually gets frustrated with the fact they don’t understand how cruel the world is. He doesn’t do that with Karlach. He can’t do that with Karlach. Because she’s him. She’s the part of him who rages and screams and let’s every swear word fly and embraces how much hurt she is carrying and how entirely unfair it is. He sees that in her and I think some part of him is validated by it. So when she is unbearably kind and refuses to believe that there’s no good left in the world, who is he to tell her she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. She has just as much baggage to back her up as he does. He just walks off and let’s her have it in most of the banter I’ve heard. The flip side, he validates her own need for vengeance and doesn’t let her feel like a bad person for enjoying taking her anger out. She deserves it after everything that’s been taken from her.

Wyll is a similar situation. He is a constant example of the goodness of humanity. A reminder that it is more important to remain true to oneself even at the expense of power or comfort. He stays true to himself, and is forced to abandon his home. He stays true to himself, and is forced to endure a form that is foreign to him. He stays true to himself, and forsakes the safety of the material plane. In the process, he sacrifices the powers of his pact. He willingly gives up the position of Grand Duke so that he can be the tool for good that he thinks the world needs. Of course, a million points can also be made about all that he’s willing to sacrifice if you go the route of maintaining his pact- but I’m working off of what I personally saw play out, which was destroy the pact but save the Grand Duke.

Wyll’s personality playing off Astarion’s selfishness is so interesting. The first things Astarion reaches for in every situation are power and comfort. Silk sheets, a good wine, unholy ascension- whatever the whim of the day is. Being forced into the company of someone who constantly reminds him there is a vastly different approach to life would both be frustrating and eye opening. Especially when that example is backed up by Karlach whom Astarion can’t help but respect and find oddly comforting. Vice versa, as Wyll is an example of selflessness to Astarion, he is an example of selfishness to Wyll. Where Wyll and Karlach drag Astarion kicking and screaming towards recovery, he might have his own soft moments of begging Wyll to put himself first. Just once. Being selfish about your needs does not make you a bad person. A dynamic made even better by Karlach being the background example that being unapologetic about your needs is okay. All of these little elements play off each other so well.

Now how do these guys come through for Karlach? Stability. Which is a word I NEVER thought to use in reference to Astarion before. But I’m serious. Day one of freedom for him? Where is his mind? Completely focused on how to make sure it lasts. How does he secure the situation. How does he make himself safe permanently? He is a self proclaimed ideas man, not much of a planner. And yet, he IS coming up with ideas. He is thinking ahead about the future, and planning to take every chance he can to secure his freedom. Karlach is living in the moment, taking each day as a blessing and not letting fears of the future hold her back. And she deserves that. But it’s good for her to have someone pulling her back to earth and reminding her to do more than live in the moment when it comes to the big things. I’m serious, if they all three put their heads together and worked as a team not only would they be able to accomplish anything- the found family potential is absolutely limitless.

So- long story short. I personally find them to be the most satisfying and interesting party dynamic you can play with. It’s rewarding on a lot of levels, and also has some of the best friendship dialogues in the game. Which I’ve noticed there just isn’t a lot of friend-centric commentary or scenes in the base game, but this party does seem to get more than other’s I’ve worked with. I think that’s a larger issue than just which party build you run with, but I do enjoy that you can get a satisfying found family feel with this crew. Of course, romancing them as eachother also works pretty well too- the dynamics are just as good for that. Personally, I enjoy romancing Astarion and then keeping Karlach and Wyll as besties, but there’s a lot of ways you can run with it.

2. kris (not just because i like to the think the best of my gf). he's a quarter asian, probably a decent chopstick maneuverer, can pick up a fishball without just stabbing a chopstick into it like a stake into a vampire (they're slippery mfs). he still needs a spoon for rice though

1) jan. i think he's only one here who wouldn't "cross arms" with people while reaching across the table to get something (etiquette). can probably 爬飯 (shovel rice into ones mouth w chopsticks) like a mf, not a grain on the table (i'm really bad at that 😭). imo he has the delicacy and tact needed... he probably doesn't use them often but he's gifted.

Astra is a compartment engine who can carry extra Chug Patrol gear and equipment.

Personality:

She is relatively a kind-hearted, eager-to-please teenage girl; she is always happy to do whatever job she is given with a can-do attitude. While there are occasions once in a while when her excitable nature can get the better of her, she is still focused and very capable. Sweet, lively and encouraging, Astra is always ready to do her part, whether it's keeping the tracks safe as a Chug Patroller, or just making everyone smile as a friend.

Astra In Action:

Astra is fresh from completing training, and is the youngest full-time Chug Patrol member. (Wilson does not count; he is only a part-time member as he is still a trainee) She often tags along on emergency callouts with the rest of the squad.

She'll volunteer to do other jobs whenever the oppurtunity arises as she simply loves helping and enjoys a brief change, but in her spare time, she is hobby photojournalist (She has a retractable smartphone-like camera located and stored where her pop-up wingmirrors are; inside the hatch with the Chug Patrol emblem on the door to access her engine placed adjacent to her face, I will draw this in the future)

Ever since she was a trainee, she journals photos and sometimes videos of her everyday life and adventures, usually just cute selfies of herself or group photos. She shares them online with some of her old friends who also partake in this hobby. She also finds her camera useful for reporting track and trackside hazards to Chug Patrol.

Additional facts:

She was a Chug Patroller in Tootington quite some time before moving to Chuggington. She was a top student as a trainee and moved up so quickly, she had graduated while still in the chugger equivalent of teenage years. (Very rarely do chuggers become fully-fledged when they're young. Hodge, Zephie and Emery are the only canon chuggers in this scenario) She had a very close relationship with her old mentor before he suffered a tragic accident that permanently put him out of commission, but he would still be put back together and preserved by a museum. Astra had been invited to Chuggington around this same time and was sad to leave him behind, especially in the sorry state he was currently in, but he reminded her that he'd always be with Astra in her heart. She did manage to recover before she left for Chuggington, but didn't open up to the others about this situation until much later.

She also likes stargazing, and the Planetarium (A new location on the outskirts of Chuggington suburbs) is one of her favorite places.

She has a playful and adventurous relationship with Wilson, and is his best friend to be with whenever Brewster and Koko aren't around. She's usually the Chug Patroller Wilson is on patrol with if not with Jackman or by himself.

Like Wilson, she too would form a father-child-like relationship with Jackman.

She also has a bit of an aunt-like relationship with Calley and an uncle-like relationship with Asher.

Often while they're in CPHQ, Asher likes to listen to chill music on the radio and Astra in particular sways side-to-side or even full-on dances to the music on the turntable.

When she's not with Wilson, Brewster, Koko, or Chug Patrol, she also has a dynamic with Zephie cuz girl power lol

Astra's creation and design was inspired by the Plarail Disney Dream Railway Mickey Mouse Rescue Train by Takara Tomy:

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a perfect real-life resemblance of this locomotive no matter how hard I tried, however the main body does seem to loosely resemble a E6 series Akita Shinkansen:

Now, I'm under the impression that Mickey rescue train was a freelance design, but if by some crazy chance any of you know a better real-life resemblance, do comment below, I'd appreciate that. (^ー^)

Annnd I think that's that, everything you need to know about Astra! I'm hoping to make actual 3d orthos for her, but those are quite tedious and challenging, so for now, that side view and posed render I made back in 2022 will suffice. I wanted to get her revealed before any other Chuggington OCs before it gets too late into the year... and I still need to draw Margot The Monorail for @lomotunes2008 😅...

I was planning to get this released a bit earlier in the day, but additional editing and new content on Youtube kinda got in the way of that :P

Double Dare Romance : Enoch O’Connor x Reader : Part 2 Success

Summary: You take your new challenge into effect, taking every oppurtunity to flirt with enoch to get him flustered in order to soften him up. Your only goal is to get under his skin and have him admit defeat. Is this when you succed?

Part 1: Challenge Accepted

You are unpacking your luggage in your room Miss Peregrine has assigned to you.

“Ah, Y/N. Always one step ahead of everyone else. I must say, I admire your tenacity.” Enoch says as you are unpacking causing you to look at him.

“tenacity?” You question not understanding the word. 

“Yes, tenacity. Despite our initial differences and the challenges that arise when you’re around, you never give up or lose sight of your goals. Whether it’s advancing your mission or getting under someone’s skin, you always keep pushing forward. It’s an admirable quality, even if it does drive me mad at times.”

“The only thing I want under is you pretty boy.” You tease him causing him to raise an eyebrow at your amusing words.

“Ah, I see you’re still trying to rile me up. Well let me tell you, Y/N, there are much more effective ways to get under my skin than cheap taunts and insults.”

“I bet there is, but this is a lot more fun” You wink.

He chuckles at your antics, “Indeed it is, Y/N. And who knows, maybe someday you’ll find a way to genuinely get under my skin. But until then, I suppose I’ll just have to content myself with watching you try.” 

Claire walks into the room announcing that it was time for dinner before skipping out of the room. (I love claire)

“The night is still young, Y/N. Perhaps we could continue this conversation over dinner? My treat, of course.” In your head you roll your eyes knowing Miss peregrine and the children make the food.

“We shall” You say as you grab his arm for him to escort you down to dinner.

He smiles as he takes your had, leading you out of the room and towards the dining hall.

“A charming lady like yourself should definitely make the most of social situations. Who knows, perhaps tonight will bring about a new opportunity to annoy each other further...or perhaps something more meaningful may come from it? Only time will tell.”

“Oh I plan on it” You finish the conversation as you take a seat next to him, planning your next attack.

He takes a sip of his drink looking pleased as ever, “You know, Y/N, sometimes I wonder what motivates you. Is it simply the thrill of the chase, or do you truly wish to engage in meaningful discourse with me? It’s hard to tell with you; you’re so elusive and unpredictable.”

“I’d never tell you” He grins at this.

“Of course not, Y/N. That would defeat the purpose entirely. Part of the fun is trying to figure you out, to test your boundaries and push your buttons. And yet, despite our differences and opposing viewpoints, there’s something about you that draws me in.” 

You decide to end the conversation there and move your focus to Millard, conversing with him about different books you both enjoy.

Enoch watches as you begin to speak with millard about literature, “ Ah, a love of reading. How quaint. I must admit, though. I’m suprised to see you conversing with such a lowbrow individual as Millard. Then again, perhaps you seek to prove some sort of point by associating with those beneath you?”

You decide to ignore him and continue your convo with Millard.

He seems offended but stays silent as you converse with Millard, but continues to watch you carefully.

As you finish talking and begin to eat Enoch takes this time to try and speak with you again, “So, did you enjoy your chat with Millard? I must confess, i found it somewhat amusing to observe.”

“You’re observing me now?” giving him a shocked look knowing full well he was.

He smirks, “Indeed, I find myself fascinated by your every move. Perhaps it’s because we have such a strong connection. Or maybe it’s just that I enjoy pushing your buttons. One cannot be sure in these matters. What do you think drives your interactions with me Y/N?”

“You believe we have a connection now? If I were any better I would say your catching feeling now Enoch” You say teasingly as you run your foot up his leg under the table making sure non of the children see what is happening.

He laughs as he glances at your foot on his leg before meeting your gaze once more, “Oh, I know you are much too good for me, Y/N. But perhaps there is something about the way I challenge you, the way I push your boundaries, that appeals to you on a deeper level.”

“I wouldn’t say that now” You continue to move your foot up his body to a more intimate area of his, still making sure no one else can see.

He smirks leaning closer to you, their voices low enough not to be overheard, “is it possible that part of you enjoys the thrill of danger, the excitement of exploring forbidden territories? Are you secretly drawn to the darkness withing me even though it terrifies you at times?”

“there is nothing intimidating about you my boy, I’m just trying to prove that I can get under your skin” You whisper with your hot breath in his ear.

Gasping with shivers down his back as he feels your warm breath against his ear, “You certainly succeed in getting under my skin, Y/N. And yes, I admit it - there is something about the darkness inside of you that draws me in like a moth to a flame.” SUCCESS!

You laugh as you completely pull away from him in a succeeding manner, “told you I would get you”

He laughs, “Well played, it seems our little game has become quite heated. Shall we continue?”

“why should we, when I have already won.” You get up in victory from the table to help Claire get ready for bed, “Come on Claire, time for bed.”

He watches you leave the table and take care of Claire, feeling conflicted emotions swirling within him.

“Intrigued by your wit, intelligence, and hidden desires. Driven by the need to understand you better, to uncover the depths of your soul.” He says to himself.

Part 3 : Only Fun

This is a real truth of life. While some people choose to do what seems like the next best thing, some people choose to also look back on their lives like it has meaning.

The future is new and full of oppurtunities, but what about the mystery behind your own history? What about the inner voice that is so originally you? What about being true to that essence and living your life like that?

What about taking every breath captive, and thinking every thought mindfully like you knew the energy when chanelled in the right direction would come back to you?

What if you felt his everlasting love in your heart, and it was like a golden light that led you to be golden your self? What if one tried to be spiritual according to the way the wave was leading them, good true and beautiful?

What if you chose deliberately to talk about the blessings, and everything good about the world. What if by doing so you lightened their load.

What if in that way you made them believe in the goodness even of the one we call God if he exists. Arise, and shine, for your light has come and the Glory of the Lord rises to shine on you, Darkness as black as night covers all the earth but the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. Maybe shining a light is about doing good deeds, its about working, its about applying.

What if in your own small way you were a blessing because you chose to give Life to what you focussed on. What if your words had the power to soothe someone soul and bring beauty to their world. What if as Neale Donald Walshe had put it, you were the gift.

Its a small world after all, and we all have a part to play, lets do all we can. For everything good in the world. Like Truth, Goodness, Beauty and Christ "who plays in ten thousand places" like in the poem by Gerard Manley Hopkins. Be all that you are.

Stellar Jades are life. They are the altering force of probability, a shining, shimmering force that intends to enlighten his path with many other starwalkers spread through the cosmos. The mere thought caused his hands to be rubbed together, an expression of snarky glee written all over that mug of the Trialblazer.

Beatrice x Lemony for the ship ask?

Alright here goes lads!!

Lemony's unwavering devotion is definately something that both I and Beatrice enjoy, and I also think Beatrice would love not only shoving this devotion in everyone else's faces, but also testing the lengths of it if the oppurtunity arises

I also just love the tragedy of their relationship as a whole. The fact that Lemony's love for her is one of his defining characteristics, despite the fact that we never get unequivocal proof that she felt the same. He writes her some of the most romantic things I've ever read, and she writes him a book-long deliberately manipulative breakup letter... oh, the heartbreak of it all

Having said all of that, I also like to think about Beatrice not really realising how much she does genuinely not only care for, but also actually relies on Lemony until after he's gone. He was always just sort of there, even before she liked him platonically—he was Kit's younger brother, he was the boy that sat behind her in lessons, he was Lemony. He was a constant in her ever-changing life, so much so that even she didn't realise the stability he brought until it was too late to keep him by her side

i think nobody likes doing taxes (says someone thinking about going into the tax field for work lol) and i’m not saying to abandon your responsibilities bc nothing good will come of that

but at the same time, if most of my time is spent going to work and doing chores, i’m also using what little time i have left to do fun and silly stuff and if stuff like imagining my favourite character doing sth motivates me to get through the day, i will do that even if it’s not “an adult thing to do” in the stereotypical sense

before taking a look at pokemon types again, i would’ve said psychic is my favourite type, but after doing so, i think i like the idea of psychic more than the actual implementation; i think there were some cool psychic mons in earlier gens but overall i’m not so impressed with what we actually got (also so many are legendaries which is like ehh if you wanna team build for aus and stuff)

Day 7

Growth is never linear.

The path to growth is non-linear, every time you take a step forward you'll feel like you've taken 3 steps backwards. I believe the only way to continuously grow and become better is by taking ownership of your own journey. Further, down the rabbit hole, more oppurtunities to become evil arise, the darkest moments along the journey offer the easiest ways out. To connect this to real life, when I moved to Los Angeles, I was given various oppurtunities to, "Sell my soul," in exchange for the career growth I desired. In the end, I didn't, but many parts of me felt like I lost my true self in Los Angeles. I betrayed my values, my morals, and at times my own people. Survival mode, forced me to move differently than I would've liked. In the end, I found myself returning home to San Diego, free from sin and on a mission to grow from a lost soul to a disciplined man. Today, my desire for growth stems from a desire to own my own destiny. To empower my fellow man, and find ways to reach our collective objectives, without sacrificing our souls. Dear God, I ask you give me the strength to stay righteous, maintain a sense of right from wrong, and uphold my values at every turn and twist of my journey. Give me the power to trust in myself, and truly maintain a healthy growth mindset, filled with ambition.

What I like in entrepreneurship is the skills to think independently, create new things, and give value to people in our daily life, as Sir Ken Robinson said “Creativity is the process of having original ideas that have values”. As a student, it is my passion to explore new things and give value to other people. It is an honor to me as a graduate of Accountancy Business and Management to view things differently in a positive way where you can think a lot of ideas out of a limited resource.

When I take this course, it gives me an opportunity to explore more deeply about the subject GEE 16 Entrepreneurial Mind on what is the mindset of an entrepreneur. What nice about them is they have the skills to turn nothing into something out of their mind. They generate ideas out of the problem they see, using the idea generation process to create new oppurtunity. They look at specific areas in the society that need to be assessed and look for the solution for some problems.

It is new to me to introduce us to technopreneurs, where technology plays an important role nowadays in society from brick and mortar, to click and mortar. In this way, we created a team and found a problem and give a solution using the advantage of technology. In our group, we are able to find a problem about the studying habits and organizing problem of a student. That is why, we came up with an all around study app where you can test what kind of study technique you need, organizing features, and a lot more

In conclusion, my journey in this subject is the beginning of my new exploration about the business world, especially the exploration of the mind of an entrepreneur, on what aspect we need to learn and understand in today's information age, where different inventions arise.
