In Astris Supra (Chapter 5: Circulus Insutus Fato, Portas Abditas Resera)
Agatha Harkness x F!OC
Read it on AO3
October 1710
There is no amount or combination of words sufficient enough to capture the true horror of war. Even those who avoid the front face of conflict are subject to the cruelty and tragedy that befalls men at arms. There is heartbreak, sorrow, and a pain so immense that it blankets the battlefield and all that surrounds it like a straitjacket, constricting everything until it chokes both sides of the conflict and creates suffering.
I had not truly known suffering like that. Not even when I left Salem behind in pursuit of a nobler calling, one that would hopefully allow me to one day return to Agatha Harkness and offer her a solution. At the time, I could only assume that she had remained in Salem, carving out her own place in the town and wreaking havoc on those who dared to get in her way. From what I could gather, based on the cries of newsboys from Boston to Philadelphia, the Witch Trials had come to an end, the town nearly destroyed by their own paranoia. It made me wonder just how much influence Agatha had gained in just a few short months, made me try to recall if I could have had the opportunity to see the signs of her inevitable descent into power mongering.
But I couldn't. No matter how hard I tried, I could not bring myself to think that she had done so willingly. The love that I had for her remained, despite my best efforts to suppress it. At night, I dreamed of the days we spent together, when there was no barrier between us, no coven driving a wedge between her and her potential for good. Those memories would bring on what ifs that were as blissful as the feeling of her touch on my skin. What if we had left Salem before her mother had found us out? What if I had told her of my love for her before it was too late? What if we could have been happy simply being together, with no magic to get in the way?
"Lots on your mind this morning, eh, Ms. Stuart?"
My thoughts were abruptly cut off by the voice of the man I was traveling with. Looking over at him from the back of my horse, I smiled wistfully and nodded. Dr. Rupert Kingsley was a rather handsome and kind young man, who came straight off the boat from London proper, with wide, dark eyes and light brown hair the shade of molten bronze. Had my interests been aligned with his, I likely would have married him as soon as the opportunity presented itself, but he was well aware that our paths were parallel to each other, never meant to cross but rather to guide each other to the right destination. So, as a talented young physician, with no ward or servant, he accepted me as an unofficial student and permitted me to travel with him as he moved from Boston northward along the coast of the colonies and into the wilds of French-controlled Acadia.
"There's always a lot on my mind, Dr. Kingsley. Today though, the thoughts are just a tad bit louder than usual." I replied, tightening the grip on my reins. My gaze fell from the doctor to my hands, buried in the black mane of my mare.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Rupert said solemnly, "But I'm afraid you're going to have to silence them. There's no place for loud thoughts on the battlefield. If you want to be a doctor, and I know you do, you have to calm your mind and senses. Leave no room for distractions, they only lead to mistakes, and mistakes lead to death."
"Of course."
We did not speak again after that, instead allowing the silence to be filled by the beat of our horses' hooves beneath us as we urged them forward to a lively trot and continued on the path northward. It had been a week since we had crossed into Acadia, and with Lieutenant-General Nelson on the move with nearly 2,000 men intent on laying siege to the French at Port Royal, we had little time for dawdling.
The troops were meant to make landfall at their destination any day now, a cohort of doctors and their associates not far behind. From there, it was simply the task of removing the French, an objective that had proven surprisingly difficult for the British forces as of late. But the British were unwilling to cave, which was why Dr. Kingsley thought it the perfect opportunity to 'break me in' to the world of mortal medicine. I was thankful that he remained blissfully unaware of my magic, the late nights spent practicing healing spells on wounded animals or patients that had come into his Boston office seeking extended treatment.
In combination with his medical prowess, I found that my magic was sufficient enough to reduce treatment time by nearly half, even with the most basic of spells. And while my power continued to fluctuate with the phases of the moon, I came to the discovery that at different phases, my spells reacted differently with the wounds and diseases they came into contact with. During a dark moon, I might be able to stop a person's vomiting with a simple digestive potion, but the same potion would have no effect on a patient with the same symptom if the moon was waning or it might make matters worse if administered during the full moon. Trial and error, as crude as it may sound, was the only way I was able to make any headway. The results of said experiments were all jotted down in a small black leather book that was tucked in the belt around my waist, a protective rune hidden just under the cover, making it impossible for anyone but myself to read its contents.
Kingsley thought nothing of it, mostly because he didn't know that I had anything to do with sudden improvement or worsening of conditions amongst his patients. I intended to keep it that way for as long as I could, or at the very least until the end of this war that Queen Anne was so insistent upon waging.
We trotted onward, surrounded on either side by pine trees and fog, dense and chilling in the early autumn air. The sun was hidden behind a heavy layer of gray clouds, the smell of petrichor hung over us warning of the impending autumnal rains that were sure to hit the shore at any time. The encampment for doctors and their associates was just past the bend in the road ahead, supposedly nestled amongst the pines beside the sheer cliffs of the Acadian shoreline. The not-so-distant sound of crashing waves roared and receded in its powerful, natural rhythm as we trotted on.
As we moved to the right of the road to take the bend, I felt a sudden presence, ancient and dark, reaching out to me from within the darkness beneath the trees. I tugged on the reins, bringing my mount to a halt as I scanned my surroundings. Under my breath, I muttered, "Mater divina me defendat hodie."
A seductive chuckle echoed in my ear, though I couldn't tell what direction it came from. My head began to swivel back and forth, trying to find the source, only stopping when I came face-to-face with a woman dressed in hues of black and green. The cloak she wore seemed to fade into wisps of smoke as she stood not but five feet from me, a crown that appeared to crafted from fossilized thorns and obsidian resting atop the hood she wore. She had an entertained half-smirk upon her darkly painted lips, her eyes deep brown as the earth as they met my hazel gaze.
"Prayers aren't going to get you anywhere, princess. Not here, at least." she said with a bit of a laugh. My horse snorted and began to spook, shuffling away from the woman with a frightened snort. Not wanting to agitate her further, I slid from her back and let my boots land softly on the grass, keeping the reins in one hand as I tilted my head at the woman before me.
"You seem... familiar to me, and yet I know I've never seen you before in my life."
"I get that a lot."
There was a change of the light for only a moment, but in that brief time, I saw that the attractive face of the woman in front of me had changed. The lower half of her skull was exposed, no sinew or flesh to cover it, no blood or muscle to keep it living and the exposure spread down to her throat, where her esophagus sat nestled between two walls of cartilage. Just as quickly as the change appeared, it reverted back, and recognition hit me like a wall of stone.
"Lady Death." I whispered.
She smirked again, "In the flesh."
I should have been terrified, scared to... well, death. But there was something about her that told me there was no need for fear. She wasn't here for me. So why was she standing in front me now?
"Why reveal yourself to me?"
She shrugged and began to circle me and my horse slowly, "There's something about you... you're important. And as much as I hate having Lunar witches walking around, you need to stick around for a while."
"That’s not an answer."
"Are you sure?"
I glared at her. She continued to smile back. When I wouldn’t relent, her grin dropped and she rolled her eyes.
"You do know that most Lunar witches don’t live longer than a century, right?"
"I’m aware I’m on a doomed path.” I replied, trying to mask the slight tremble of my voice with a sharp edge, “A Lunar witch comes around maybe once every three hundred years. They never live long enough to teach the next one. Though I know you’re well aware of that."
"And yet, here I am, telling you that you’re the odd woman out."
"Why? What do you have to gain from my survival?"
Death scoffed at me, as if the whole concept of existence was amusing to her, "Nothing, actually. I'll lose more than I gain with you in the picture. But greater forces in this universe seem insistent on keeping you alive, so alive you’ll stay for now. But I must say, I'm looking forward to checking in on you over the next few centuries."
I paled, there was no way to hide it, "What do mean?"
"You're going into war, Aislin!" she exclaimed, as if it weren't obvious, "My favorite stomping grounds! We'll be seeing a lot of each other, I wager. Though I'm sure you'll be sick of me soon enough."
She stopped her circling and looked to me full on, the intensity of her earthy eyes feeling as though they could bury me beneath the soil with just a hard enough glance. The around me seemed to shift, the petrichor smell growing steadily stronger. With a final smile, she offered me a sultry wave and said, "Te veo."
And suddenly, I was alone in the clearing.
--------------------------------------------------
The doctors that had been summoned to serve did not take kindly to women in their presence. Of course, they had to tolerate the caretakers who sacrificed their white linens to the spatters of blood and fragments of flesh, but to have a woman stand among them as a student of the art, was far less palatable. After all, women had no place amongst the respectable ranks of surgeons and physicians, nor did the Iroquois healers who offered their services as their own warriors joined the British forces gathering on the coast, though given the choice, I'd have taken care from the Cayuga over Charles Cromwell any day.
Kingsley found me as I led my horse on foot through camp aimlessly with my saddle pack and bedroll tucked under my free arm. He had taken no notice of my sudden absence, nor had he been subject to a surprise meeting with Death herself, but simply kept on riding to camp, claiming his large-framed tent and a much smaller one beside it.
"Ah, did you get lost, Miss Stuart?" he asked me with a charming grin, "Or were you simply taking in the scenery?"
"A bit of both I suppose." I answered honestly. I took my horse to the hitching post and tied her there, allowing her access to the trough and a bale of fresh hay before turning back to the young doctor. "Have I missed anything?"
He shook his head, "Nothing at all. Lieutenant-General Nelson won't make landfall 'til midday on the 'morrow, at which time we'll board a smaller vessel and cross the channel to wait for incoming wounded and dead. I should warn you though, this siege may take weeks, months even. You still have time to return to Boston-"
I held up a hand to silence him, sending a sharp glare his way, "As much as I respect your offer, Rupert, I simply must decline. Despite the maliciously loud whispers I've heard about this camp already, I am most certainly needed here, so here I will stay. I do not shy away from the sword when it is flashed in my face."
Kingsley's grin softened in understanding, a small nod rocked his head back and forth, "Spoken like a true fellow of medical academia, Miss Stuart. I suggest you take the evening to study, and if you're so inclined, I'd write to your family. Simply because we bear the caduceus, it does not mean we are immune from cannon and gun fire. You'll find all you need for the night in your tent."
Overhead, the skies finally broke, the satisfying drip of rainfall pattering against the trees and the waxed canvas tents. A few of the horses snorted in discontent but continued to eat away at the hay in front of them. As the heavy drops landed on our shoulders and heads, chilling us to the bone, we gave each other a silent farewell and retreated beneath the cover of our tents for the night. While I had no doubt that Kingsley's tent boasted all the necessary equipment he would need for operations and examinations, not to mention cigars and cheap liquor to numb his mind to the horrors incoming, mine was much reserved, containing only a camp bed with several woolen blankets, a pair of white cover aprons, and a small bedside table with a pair of lit candles.
Rupert must have placed the small stack of parchment on the table, along with an inkwell and quill. There was no way the other doctors would have extended such kindness to me, not when they didn't even want me there. Heaving a loud sigh, I dropped my bedroll and saddle pack onto the ground at my feet. I slumped onto the camp bed and let my head fall into my hands, my interaction with Death replaying over and over again in my mind.
She had told me that I was important, though at the moment, I couldn't possibly see how. And the way she had looked at me, as though I were a fresh piece of bloodied meat and she was a ravenous wolf... it was unsettling, though I suppose she always intended to be.
"Oh, Divine Mother, what have you gotten me into?" I whispered, so softly that even I could barely hear myself. I dropped my hands and let my eyes wander back to the parchment on the small wooden table. I don't know how long I sat there staring at it, but by the time I had come to the conclusion to write, the gentle shower outside had increased to a torrential downpour, the weight of the water pounding against the roof of the tent as I dipped the quill into the murky black ink. As I took hold of the topmost sheet, I paused, wondering if sending a letter would make any difference. But then I thought of her, and the doubt melted away. I put the quill to the parchment and began to write in my most elegant script.
Darling Agatha,
I hope that this letter finds you in suitable spirits after we departed on such egregious terms. Not that I fear for your well-being; I know you are certainly capable of taking care of yourself. I write to inform you that I have undertaken a task most unbecoming for women of our talents and station, serving as the student and assistant of one Doctor Rupert Kingsley of Boston. We, in response to the request made by the British Crown, have joined a cohort of other physicians and surgeons at a posting in Acadia, not thirty miles from the French stronghold of Port Royal, and are awaiting the order to cross the channel to provide medical assistance during the attempted siege of the fort.
Having not heard from you in well over a decade, I am certain that you did not intend to seek me out again, and in truth, I was hesitant to write. But I am told that we, like the soldiers who will march onto the shore, will be subject to the shock and awe of war, and at the risk of walking into the next world without having settled the grievances between us, I found the courage to pen this letter.
You may no long care for me, you may no longer wish to think of me, but I think of you often. And I shall be thinking of you on the 'morrow, when cannons roar overhead and the blood of dying men coats my hands. I shall be thinking of the days we spent in the peaceful solitude of the forest, relishing in the quiet hours that we spent together. I shall be thinking of you not as someone I once knew, but as someone I know and care for. For a witch should never abandon her coven and I, in my own anger and fear, have abandoned you.
It is my hope that upon my, with any luck inevitable, survival, that we may cross paths again, and I will once again be able to relish in peace with you as we once did. Until then, I shall think of you, darling, and hope that you think of me.
With all my love,
Aislin Stuart
I set the quill down and folded the parchment carefully once the ink had dried. Muttering a simple sending incantation, I lifted the letter to the candle on the left and let one corner light, before repeating the gesture with the candle on the right. I gripped the parchment tight between my fingers as the flames inched closer to my hand until I could no longer hold it. As I released my grip, I whispered, "Agatha Harkness."
The ashes scattered in an invisible wind, drifting beneath the canvas walls of the tent and carrying my message to wherever she was. I lay back on my bed, and started at the roof in the eerie quiet, only drifting off to sleep when thunder finally began to roll in.

please share any of your kingsley thoughts
I don't have as many as you might think I have but I do really really like him. He is my man.
I always write him in relation to Regulus in some way so most of my thoughts are about their relationship but I'll focus on Kingsley's side of things. I also can't remember much about canon so if this goes against canon oh well! I do not care.
In my head Kingsley is Jesse from tlou. Which I know you probably won't understand but I do! He's the type of person to be like "my friend's problems are my problems." he's also like I will give you the scene one second this scene is very Kingsley to me. I don't know if anyone will agree with me but I see it.
In terms of his and Regulus' relationship like this shows a bit of how I view it, and Kingsley in general...
I don't think Kingsley is "easy going" with things in the sense that he's okay with not being with Regulus and he's okay with their break up. That is wasn't hard for him. It was, but I also feel like he's very much like if it was supposed to happen it would've happened kinda person.
Also in the road trip fic I made him into a photographer as why he moved to new york and I think it suits him really well. I like it.
I've also written him into Dear Reader in the case of Dear Helios he played a very small role but I loved him in it, and I'm sure I'll continue to make him a little piece of Regulus' history.
I love Regulus and Kingsley in the sense that they found each other when they needed each other the most. They needed to happen, even if that time didn't last as long as they would've liked it to. It's not right person wrong time. It's not wrong person right time either. It's right person and right time. That right time just didn't happen to last very long.
#i know i talked about Reg and Kingsley a lot#but I just think about them a lot as a pair#and haven't been able to write Kingsley on his own#i did think about writing a prequel to the road trip fic which would include them being together#I don't think it'll happen#but if it did... I would love to see Kingsley again#anyway#i just read the scene where Reg cries in Kingsley's arms from the road trip fic#and I think I might miss them#just a little bit#ch13 is overshadowed in my head#but it was so fucking good#fic: i might like you less now that you know me so well

I still…
… Think the 2004 Thunderbirds movie, and this is as a person who knows nothing about the original material and isn't actually that interested, is strongest w/ the family stuff.
And maybe it's just the chemistry the cast developed, but genuinely the best parts of the movie are the bits focusing on the family and their relationships and how it's part of their work/effects it.
Stuff like how there's a marked difference between the conduct in the mission in the opening, and when they emergency rush to 5. In the opening, they're professional but still quipping at each other, even the dad, and just generally more confidant and upbeat. When heading to 5, however, there's no quips, no joking, no ribbing. Bc the stakes are different—that's their brother and son in there. Both situations are obviously equally important, but there's a different emotional weight, and no one says it, but it's noticeable in the way they behave and how quickly they respond.
I think what cost the film was not playing more into the emotional family angle. It's there, I've said before, there's several bits where the young man playing Alan is quite heartbreaking as a terrified kid whose family is in mortal peril, but I just… Want… More? And not just bc I wanted to see more of John (okay, that's part of it).
I love the plan of not just creating a 'disaster' for them to respond to, but specifically and intentionally putting a member of the family in danger. Instead of starting another fire elsewhere in the world to lure them out, they attack John. Like, that's brilliant! I wish that was the focus more.
#Firebird Randomness#yes I'm analysing bad movies again!#I will never claim this as a work of cinematic genius#it's a goofy little kid hero movie#and I do think it was trying a little too hard w/ the kid hero thing#I wish the elder brothers had been given more to do I wish the focus had been the family#I do think it was trying too hard to follow a usual 'kid hero' trend#but I enjoy it nonetheless#and NOT just bc John is cute and Ben Kingsley is having WAY too much fun#seriously did they even pay him or did they just say 'do you want to come and be as cheesy as absolutely possible?'#this man is an ESTEEMED actor on stage and screen#I love how many bad movies he's been in#also the fact that the late Bill Paxton just looked at those boys and went 'alright so I'm a father now'#I mean that last one alone would justify this film#no matter what it did#EDIT: THAT'S RIGHT I FORGOT#HE IS SIR BEN KINGSLEY KNIGHT OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE#I dunno if he was at this point but that gives you an idea of how nice it is to see him just having a ball here#Things You Didn't Know Fire was Into

Could I Have The McOrgasm, Please? (Loki x fem! Reader Oneshot)
Summary: You love Loki, but he loves another. You must join Loki on his trip to get Sylvie back by going to the McDonald's she's working at. No matter how much it hurts you on the inside...
Warnings: SMUT AT THE END! NSFW! (Oral, fem receiving, inappropriate uses of Loki's shadow powers, dirty talk, p in v sex). Angst and unrequited (or is it?) love with eventual fluff. Being Anti-Slyki and Anti-Sylvie so if you like the character or pairing you have been warned. This is my indulgent coping method for not getting with a fictional character. Also, as this is published, I don't know what the eff is going to happen in season 2. I just want this out so I can escape to delulu land when canon disappoints me.
Word Count: >8K (phew)
Comments, reblogs, dms, and asks about my work are always appreciated!

“Yes, she will be there,” Loki confirmed, looking at the restaurant.
You put your hands in your pockets. You were with Loki, Mobius, and a gentleman in a TVA jumpsuit at the McDonalds where Sylvie apparently worked. Just a hop, skip, and jump away. How much you took for granted-just traveling anywhere in space and time. Only, for this place and time was the one place you didn’t want to be. You wished you were anywhere else. A natural disaster, the poorest section of a medieval village, a gladiator tournament, a tuberculosis outbreak in London in the 1870’s-not this.
You didn’t want to watch as the man you loved went to pursue someone else. It was a peaceful place- just a McDonald's in the middle of a regular strip. The sun was gentle. Big clouds drifted in the sky. The birds were singing. You wanted to scream.
You didn’t just like Loki as a friend. You loved Loki- him and only him. Loved him for a long time. Through the misadventures of life in the TVA, you helped him for long hours scouring over files. You ate lunch together. When the little capsules of pies arrived in the cafeteria for the lunch hour’s dessert options, you would pull out one for him and hand it with a smile. And when he cried over seeing what events were supposed to happen, you ran to embrace him.
Then one day he ran into the mysterious Loki variant- as it turned out her name was Sylvie. Just two days later he went missing with her. Then they reappeared. And then they vanished again. Then he reappeared and people were running in a panic.
She left him. Kissed him, killed Kang, and then left him in the dust. But it didn’t occur to Loki that this was a betrayal he should be angry about. You remembered that day. He kept talking about her- until there was one phrase that hit you in the stomach.
“Please Y/N- I love her. Help me…help me find her and fix this!”
You would have preferred to be stabbed.
When he did say he loved her, you simply said “Oh, okay. I will.”
You returned back to your room later that day. Forgetting the chaos and Mobius’s mysterious loss of memory. You sank onto the floor and cried. Cried so hard you couldn’t breathe. Cried so hard and curled up into a ball. Cried so hard you hardly slept for want of crying more.
Even after what she did, he was still talking of her. No. All he could talk of was Sylvie this and Slyvie that. Even with you. Why were you even doing this?
“Uh…I don’t think I should be here…I think I should go back…” you murmured, taking a step back.
“You’re scared…of her? Y/N! You shouldn’t be! She’s incredible, you’ll love her! And you must- you’re the one who remembers what happened!” he insisted.
“What happened?” Mobius asked. The man in the jumpsuit only blinked.
“Y/N…please-I’m nervous…I need the support…” Loki begged at you. His mouth curled into a little frown and his eyes so big they shone like big stars. You held in a breath. Those eyes. Damn, those eyes- like that of a kitten. You wanted to hug him and cuddle him- but you couldn’t.
“Okay…” you voiced.
It was odd-not only being rejected, but being rejected for himself! How the hell would you explain that to a therapist?! The more you thought about it, the more it made you sick. The Spidermans in New York apparently weren’t kissing each other, you heard. You shoved your arms to cross them and continued on. Perhaps if you walked quickly, you could get it over with. Holding your breath, you folded your arms and walked quickly in. Thinking of it like a vaccine- just a little pinch of pain for a brief bit, and then it would be over with.
You stopped inside that bright, yellow building with its bright lights. There was a woman at the counter.
“Is that…” you asked.
Loki’s pale face turned a shade paler. “Yes.”
There you saw her. Not a glance- seeing her. Truly saw her up close. There were only glimpses when she ran around in the TVA. Here, her blonde hair was cut short beneath her cap and her eyes squinted in tired boredom. She smoothed her uniform.
You noticed Loki see her. Frozen in his tracks, his mouth open.
“What are you waiting for?” you pressed.
They kept looking at each other. With a shrug, she moved her eyes forward where a customer showed up to order a McFlurry. Loki blinked and turned to you.
“Does she recognize me?” he asked.
“Go ahead and find out. .” you replied.
“I…I feel like I can’t take another step…” Loki said, his chest falling in shallow breaths.
Mobius waltzed up in front of you guys along with the variant man.
“Well- I myself am starving hungry! Y/N-I bet you are too! Let’s order!” he churruped.
You followed them as Loki stayed a the door. Frozen in place. Mobius gestured to the counter.
“Ladies first!” he chimed.
You stared at her as she finished the last order before you. Drinking in that now your invisible rival had a face. That “Sylvie” wasn’t a wisp of air, a pedestal you could never reach. But flesh and blood. That this was the woman Loki preferred. This was the woman who was Loki. Pale skin and short blonde hair. It seemed damp under her cap. Slender with a long, straight nose and pink lips. Sharp eyes like that of a falcon. Slight grace and ease with how she moved. And you knew from the hundreds of times how Loki boasted of how stupid Sylvie won some stupid fight with a stupid enemy in a stupidly easy manner.
So many words were in there. You knew what she did. How miserable she really made him. After everything he did for her. And no matter if she felt the same or not, her actions did not account for it. What she did to him. The pure misery and despair on your beloved Loki’s face when she left him. The suffering she put him through even if he wasn’t aware of it.
And envy. Yes, you were sick with envy. You hated yourself. You hated yourself because you weren’t her. And yet you hated her too. Only hate was swirling in her stomach. Your mouth stopped, for want of the thousands of things you could have said. The thousands of things you fantasized about saying, or doing. You took in a shaky breath, maybe to start one of them. To finally let it out. To scream at her. Yell in her face. They were there- words forming at you like grey clouds forming a thunderstorm.
She beat you to it.
“Hello, welcome to McDonalds,” she said with a practiced smile.
She did not recognize you. She only gave you a nod and replied dutifully, like she repeated it 1,000 times every day.
“What would you like?” she asked, continuing on like she was an actor saying her lines.
To rip out all of your hair and scalp you until you’re screaming and bloody. You thought bitterly. But you did not say that.
“Could I have the-uh, Quarter pounder and small fries and a fountain drink, please?” you requested.
She nodded with a small smile and tapped into the cash register.
“My pleasure, coming up…” she said.
When you paid, she handed you the receipt. Then all you had to do was wait until the giant screen announced your order was ready. You felt dizzy as Mobius and the new guy ordered their food.
Simple as that. Your motivation failed you. She didn’t know you. If you said or did anything, she would flee and get her manager. You would be known as “that” customer who made food service worker’s lives miserable. A story to be gasped or laughed about. And never showing you sympathetically. Or knowing the stories Loki would boast about her-whip out her own daggers and slice you into ribbons.
You took a step back. Unable to peel her eyes off of her. Imagine her as he would describe- not in a uniform but in tight leather showing a perfect and beautiful slim body. A fighter who could defeat anyone in combat without blinking an eye and who could bring down the whole TVA.
Could you do that? No- you weren’t some fierce, flawless, warrior goddess. No- you were afraid. Vulnerable. That was your curse-she was extraordinary. You were just ordinary.
You began to mentally list your personal insecurities. How could you even compare to her? No wonder Loki worshipped the ground she walked on after she used him as a punching bag. The screen announced your food and another worker handed you a tray with the burger, fries, and cup. That was a clear sign from the universe itself- might as well drown yourself in comfort food.
You noticed Loki finally moved from his place. You couldn’t even watch- not even to get your drink. You grabbed your tray of food and fled to a far corner near the bathrooms. Where you couldn’t hear them, couldn’t see them. You wanted to huddle and hide and make yourself invisible.
Then you heard footsteps- rapidly walking around. You looked up to see who it was. It wasn’t Mobius. It wasn’t even the variant in the tracksuit- You could recognize that peachy ass in those brown office khakis anywhere.
He turned his black curls everywhere as he turned his head to search. Loki went up to you, and then his shoulders relaxed. He even bent a little to meet eyes where you were sitting.
“Y/N, all the way here?” he asked.
You were such a sucker for that face, especially how soft, how sweet he could look. How could you say no to his presence now?
“Uh…yeah,” was all you could say.
As he took a step forward to where you sat, he leaned down, his hands still in his jacket pockets.
“Where were you- I got worried. Maybe someone had attacked you, or took you,” he fretted.
“I’m fine,” you lied as you took a bite of the burger. “Just wanted to sit here-more private.”
He then pulled up to the chair and sat across from you.
“How’s the wedding planning?” you wanted to ask bitterly. You did not. You looked down at your food, then up at him. He sat so casually, so easily. He folded one leg over another and set an arm down. You pulled out your bag of fries. It was so piping hot it hurt a little- but that was how you liked it.
“I’m nervous too, Y/N. I have to tell you…I cried this morning…I know I have to face her. I’ve taken over cities, I’ve battled monsters, but this…this is different…” Loki confessed.
You chewed on a fry instead of replying. Tasting the crispy hot potato flavor. He let out a deep exhale, putting a hand lightly over his mouth.
“What’s wrong with me, Y/N?” he asked.
You wiped the salt onto your pants. The words flowed out of you easily. Too easily.
“Nothing is wrong with you, Loki! You’re the nicest, sweetest, bravest, sexiest being in the whole-”
“What was that last one?” he asked, tilting his head, his blue eyes squinting.
You immediately froze, the fry you were about to eat hung in mid-air. You felt hot with embarrassment.
“You’re the nicest, smartest being in the whole universe!” you said.
Before he could say anything else, you began digging further into those hot fries. “Mmph, These are so good. And just right-right when they’re out of the fryer.” You chatted on, desperate to change the subject after your little Freudian slip.
“Can I…try one?” he asked.
He held out his hand and you pressed a few fries into it. He chewed on them and then smiled as he tasted them.
“Not bad! Midgard food isn’t as pitiful as I thought!” he replied.
Mobius returned with his tray along with his companion. They ate and Mobius commented on how the Sweet and Sour sauce was his favorite. Loki looked at him, his smile dropping. Then he turned to you, his voice low. Mobius kept on chatting about everything to the variant.
“He still doesn’t remember…It seems all who care about me just…either die or leave or hurt me…” he mourned.
“I don’t…and think of Thor. Yes, you two fight. But he loves you. And remember your own mother! They care about you. They always will…and so will I…” you assured him.
Your hand moved up to touch his, then froze and retreated. Then he turned to you.
“Y/N?”
“Mhhm?” you asked, a mouth full of food.
“...You have salt on your chin…” he commented.
He reached out his hand to cup it. Your breath stopped at his touch- so gentle, so soft. His large thumb grazed over your chin slowly. Your mouth opened a little, feeling his light brush as his thumb swiped the bits of salt away. How small it seemed under his large hands. But he wasn’t hurting you in the slightest- it felt like a caress. A light kiss. Once his thumb went back to his hand, his eyes went to yours. Seeing his blueness, his large, dark pupils. As if something unspoken was exchanged between you. You saw him swallow hard.
Taking in a deep breath after that, you retreated, putting your hands on your lap and looking down. The heaviness of sudden arousal from his touch had shocked your system. You reached for your drink to cool off but realized it was empty. You had eaten all of your meal. There wasn’t food you could use to hide now. You forced yourself to take deep breaths- in, two three four, out two three four.
“There that’s…that’s better,” Loki said.
“Thank you- it won’t be easy, but….one day, you won’t be sad about what happened. You won’t feel nervous or scared…you’ll get over it Loki, bit by bit,” you encouraged softly.
He leaned forward in his chair, his hands folding on the table.
“Ah, tell me, my dear Y/N- Have you ever had your heart broken?”
The burger in your throat dried up. You took your napkin and bunched it into a ball in your hand.
“Yes,” you answered plainly. Fighting back the urge to laugh.
“I never did! Never! None of that drama! I’ve never been more relieved!” Mobius sang out as he chewed on a nugget. His companion only kept tearing at his burger.
“Is it terrible?” Loki asked. His brows knotted in curiosity.
“Very. Still is,” you replied.
“How did you cope with it? You little mortals-going about your own lives and your own heartbreaks?” he asked generally.
You shoved aside the tray and folded your arms. Then you began to speak.
“Realizing that love shouldn’t be a prison.”
“A prison?” Loki repeated. He leaned forward. Staring right at you. Truly listening to you. You continued, though you felt your body tense up. Knowing what you said was honest- too honest.
“I was…not with him in any way. He wasn’t my boyfriend or lover or hookup or whatever. This guy- I thought… he should be with whoever makes him happy….”
Even with someone who betrayed him, manipulated his feelings, and left him crying.
“Love means letting go. It’s the right thing to do- it’s still hard though,” you finished.
Loki registered nothing beneath the surface of that. He merely shrugged and raised his eyebrows. He looked at you, giving you a small smile.
“I’m glad you’re alright and happy now, Y/N. I remembered the time you were about to fall off the TVA balcony right over those statues last month…”
“And you caught me-you saved my life!”
“To think…me…a hero for once…” he commented.
“That’s a Loki for you! A pure miracle for your kind!” Mobius commented.
He took a long sip of his Sprite.
“Wow! Now this is a drink!” he exclaimed, inside the cup for the bubbly carbonation.
“Well, Mobius, this isn’t fiction. No one is all good or all bad. And Loki, no one entirely bad does that…everyone’s a mix of good and bad,” you added on.
“What’s your bad parts, Y/N? Any weaknesses” Loki asked curiously.
“I…get jealous…” you confessed.
The god’s jaw lowered to the ground. His voice dared to raise a little bit from his surprise.
“Jealous!? But…you’re…you’re so kind! I’m the jealous one!” he said.
You continued on. The words poured out of you more quickly than you could register or control them.
“It doesn’t mean I never feel jealous. Or am tempted to do things like take her face and smash it over the McDonad’s register.”
“What?!?!”
You stopped. A hand flew over your mouth to cover it. Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, what the fuck was I thinking?!?! you cursed silently. Another slip. And this time, he heard it clearly. No hiding around it.
“Whose face are you talking about?” Loki asked further.
“I…Forget that…I didn’t say anything! Good luck with your meet-cute and reunion and all that. Have fun- bye!” you dismissed quickly.
You grabbed your tray.
“Y/N…wait…” he said.
“Where is she going?” Mobius asked, tilting his head. He then remembered he had more sweet and sour sauce with his McNuggets and began dipping into them with a childish glee.
He reached out and grabbed your arm. You pulled against him and he held you back.
“What’s going on!?” the god asked.
“Don’t touch me- save it for her!” you hissed out. Yanking away from him- not even looking at his face.
You looked right at the door and walked hurriedly. Momentum, panic, pulling you out of there. You kept your eyes on the exit as you dumped your trash into the bin. You walked to the outside of the McDonalds. It was sunny with the sun’s orange glow and a little chilly. You got the tempad from your pocket to return. But then you heard Loki jog behind you. You kept walking down the pavement. Glad that there weren’t moving cars right now. If not, you wished a moving one would hit him and send him flying. But it didn’t.
“Y/N, stop!” he insisted.
You stopped walking. But you turned around. You didn’t look at him- only at the rows of cars and empty parking spots in the strip. But you heard him behind you.
“I’ve stopped. Now what?” you asked. At least you could hide behind sass and snark. It made the pain better.
“Whose face were you talking about?” he asked.
“I’ve got to go, Loki,” you urged.
“Y/N, wait!” he cried.
You felt him grab you. He turned you around, his arms gripping you into place. His eyes were intense and his jaw lowered. He still looked so handsome- like a dream. His intensity, the feel of his bare hands on you making it more intense, making him more attractive. You were forced to face him. Your eyes were brimming with more tears. He almost shook you as he held you- so strong. His skin, his scent. Like he wouldn’t let go of that for the world. If only you could experience that for yourself.
“Y/N….are you…jealous of Sylvie?” he asked.
“Yes. I’m sorry I said something about hurting her. I know it was wrong to-but yes. I’m jealous of her. Have been for a while. Isn’t it obvious?” you asked.
“Why?!”
You burst into tears. Your jaw tightened.
“I need to go, Loki…just let go, please,” you begged.
As you moved he held his grip on you.
“No! You’re not going anywhere until you tell me why!” he demanded.
You thought confessions like this should be done in moonlit gardens or sexy hotel suites or something. Not the parking lot of a fucking Mcdonald's. But here you were.
“Why? Because I love you, Loki. More than as my friend-much more.”
“You…love me?” he asked. His eyes were wide. His jaw dropped and then it closed back, his pink lips barely parted.
Your words sputtered out. His grip relaxed on your arms. You had no choice but to look him in the eye and talk.
“ I’ve always loved you…I’ve loved you every afternoon, on weekdays, on coffee breaks. I’ve admired and taken note of every one of your feats. I stayed by when you were sitting at the TVA crying when she opened the multiverse and left you. But…the thing with love…is that it means letting go…”
How handsome he looked. His jacket-how warm would it feel? Would it smell like him? And the shirt that hugged his body. You glanced down and felt twinges of lust mixed with your sadness. With a man as delectable as he, you couldn’t help it. How broad yet lean and strong he was. How his bare skin would feel against your bare skin. How many times have you fantasized nightly about having him in your bed? But there was only one being in these universes and timelines who would know. And it wasn’t you.
“What…Y/N…really…all this time…” Loki murmured.
. You felt anger in your throat and venom in your voice.
“If you think the best relationship you need is with a woman who is literally you with a vagina who you knew for three days and then left you in the dust for her own gain, then take it! Because…beacuase…”
You began to step away. Ready for him to be angry at your words about her. His eyebrows lowered and there was no anger- only his parted lips of shock. You began Crying again. You thought you saw him tear up too.
“Because that’s what you want, what you choose…and I have to let you go…”
You turned on your heels and promptly left. Wiping your tears on your sleeve. Using the tempad, you returned to your home. You ran inside, fell on your bed, and sobbed.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
When Monday began, you were ready to work. You got in your nicer dress and cardigan for the day. The TVA office could get chilly. Right when you walked in, there was Loki. In his own work wear. You froze. What on earth were you going to say? What could you say?
“I was worried about you. How are you, Y/N? Feeling better?” he asked, putting his hands back in his pockets.
“You know…yes….yes I am…” you nodded.
He gave you a kind smile. You waited for him to bring up what happened, what you said. He did not.
“How did…McDonalds go?” you asked.
“For your information, it went alright,” he informed you.
You felt a giant lump in your throat. You pulled your cardigan further over you-looking down on the floor as you spoke.
“The reunion- did she-”
“She just wanted to focus on her job,” Loki answered before you could finish your statement. He went up closer to you. “I hope your day at work goes well, my dear…if any supervisor gives you trouble, they’ll answer to me…wait- there’s a hair on your shirt,” he said.
He gently brushed it away on your shoulder.
“There you go- you look…you look nice today. The colors suit you,” he said.
“Oh, thank you.”
It was a normal, boring day. And the next day was a normal boring day- that was comforting.
When you went into the cafeteria, you decided to buy lunch. After all, it was going to be the best meal they offered at the TVA- grilled ham and cheese with tomato soup-nice and warm. You counted your coins from your pocket to make up the total. It was cheap-but still eating at it every day could take a toll if you weren’t careful.
As you walked up with your change, the cafeteria lady shook her head in her hair net.
“Oh no- it’s on the house!” she said.
She gave you a smile as she brought a tray ready. Your own surprised face gleaming from the glass over the food.
“Really?!” you gasped incredulously.
“Yes-your lunches are free from now on!” announced the cafeteria lady.
“Oh…thank you!” you cried.
Smiling, she handed you a grilled ham and cheese and poured tomato soup into a bowl before handing it to you. They tasted especially warm and decadent.
Loki appeared here and there. But he would ask after you. Talk to you. He never mentioned the warrior goddess version of himself to you. Not anymore, at least. But he didn’t bring up what he said.
As you got to your office desk on the fifth day, he was standing there- waiting for you. Your coworkers were watching with one eye from where they sat and worked. Some even stood up to see.
“Hello, Y/N!” he greeted.
He walked forward and you gasped aloud when he turned. In his white hands was a glass vase full of fresh, beautiful flowers- your favorite kind. Bright and beautiful with a fragrance that sweetened the area that used to be full of the smell of crisp paper and old coffee.
“I…I thought you might like this,” he offered, handing you the vase.
“I…I, uh…uh-thank you,” you said.
Why was he suddenly being nice? It then hit you- he still valued your friendship. Even if he didn’t feel the same, he didn’t want to let you go yet. Probably making peace. But you were in public, this wasn’t the time or place to discuss matters of the heart openly. But…that was better than a full friendship breakup. Of never seeing that mischievous, handsome god ever again.
You smelled the flowers and set them on your desk. He leaned against it, something glinting in his eyes. Something that made you feel fluttery and distracted you from the start of the day.
“How’s the…Kang mission going?” you asked.
“Oh, it’s alright. If not well. A few bumps here and there- but things will probably be fine. You have nothing to fear…but what about you? How is work?” he asked.
“It’s been downright slow the past few days. Then today it’s picked up, but…nothing I can’t handle.” you reported.
He leaned a little closer, the old trickster light beaming in his eyes.
“Anyone being difficult? He asked.
You couldn’t help but smile.
“Some were in the past, but…but no.”
“Then…I hope you have a good day, Y/N. I will talk to you later. Don’t let them work you too hard, darling,” he said.
He gave you a wink that sent butterflies into your stomach and then walked away.
How nice he was. Taking it so well. You always knew there was a little good in him. Even if all that was for someone who didn’t deserve him…
After work, you splurged on cheesecake and a bottle of wine. You were going to need it.
After you got back home, you brought in your goods. You listened to sad music and cried to flush more of it out of your system. Grieving Sylvie and Loki being a couple. Imagining them kissing and doing more than kissing by now a hundred times. You took a hot shower to cleanse every picture of it from yourself. You changed into your pajama shirt and shorts. You sat on your chair in your room, ready to eat a generous helping of cheesecake and a generous glass of wine.
You were going to go somewhere far from the TVA. You had to. Get a new job somewhere. Meet as many men as possible. Try other forms of dating. Or not just dating– just meet anyone. Forget him. Forget Loki. Forget his dark curls and blue eyes and sinful waist in those tight shirts and mischievous smile. Move on from him, move on from being rejected. Even if he was nice to you and wanted to still be friends. You were going to forget it all. Sacred timeline be damned. Your happiness and peace of mind was shattered.
Then it hit you…it was odd that out of nowhere you had free lunches at work. Why was that?
An answer hit you.
Could it…could it be…it was… No. It was bribery. Yes! All bribery because he needed help with some villain who lived in a mansion with purple robes and a flair for the dramatics. All being beside his perfect, flawless girlfriend. Having their love rubbed in your face. You wanted to spit.
Right as you were about to take your first bite of cheesecake, There was a loud knock.
“Y/N…please let me in…I have to talk with you,” a voice you knew too well asked from the door.
You gripped the seat of your chair.
“Loki?! Is that you?” you asked from where you sat.
“Who else, darling?”
“Just use your magic and break into my place!” you replied.
“I’d rather enter with your permission…” he said.
Not caring that you were in your sleepwear, you opened the door. Still in his jacket and TVA office wear, he stepped inside. Your hands curled into fists. He was beautiful as ever-jacket and cheekbones and all. You could have screamed at him. You could have punched him. You could have slammed the door in his face.
But…you didn’t. You couldn’t. You crossed your arms and took a step back, but you looked at him.
“Loki…what are you doing here? What else can I say to you? Thanks for your gifts. I know you need help with Kang but…I can’t…I can’t do it…and you have someone waiting for you. Go to her. Go to who you love.”
“But….I am with who I love…” he replied.
A stone dropped into your stomach. Your whole body tightened. Your breath stopped and your throat ran dry.
He stepped inside. Then he cupped your face with both hands.
“Y/N…I’ve been so blind…” he confessed.
Before another word was said, he kissed you on the lips. Deeply, sweetly. You smelled him- smelled popcorn and musk. Yet he tasted of cream on your lips, of froth. Like a dessert after dinner and twice as sweet. He held you so that your lips could stay together. Then he released, still holding your face.
“Loki…what is this? What’s going on? Is this another…another of your tricks, then…” you asked, your voice only half of its strength.
He kept you close. Looking right at you. His voice was so dulcet, so earnest.
“It’s not. Y/N…I never realized how much you cared for me. How much you really did…and to think…I thought I was alone. But I wasn’t. No one saw me…but you…and to think…all this time I was chasing after someone. A shadow. A dream. An illusion better than any I could conjure. An idea of her. Not realizing…that love, that sweetness I have wanted my whole life…was right in front of me…” he said softly.
“You finally came to your senses!” you cried.
Both of you let out a small laugh at that.
“But…she’s with you to fight Kang- and you’re back together?” you asked.
“She doesn’t remember me. And she… wanted nothing to do with me. It struck me what she did…how she treated me. And then I thought of how you treated me…I kept thinking of you, thinking of you. I missed you. I looked for you. I…I didn’t want to cross paths with her…I realized…there was someone always there for me…yes-you…Oh, Y/N, I’ve been a fool,” he breathed.
He held you and kissed you again and you almost gasped into it. Feeling him. You grabbed onto his jacket. Held him close-felt how close he was. His eyelashes. His tall cheekbones graze against your face. It made you shiver. He let go of the kiss, pressing his forehead onto yours.. Both of you closed your eyes and could hear his breathing fluttering.
“Y/N, my dear…can you forgive me?” he asked.
“I can. Can you forgive me?” you asked.
“I already have.”
He let go. He still kept his eyes on you as he reached his hand to the door and pushed it close. The momentum made it shut. His long finger made a swipe-out of it came a bit of green seidr. And you heard a click! The door locked in place.
“I wanted someone who loved me…who would take care of me…and it was you the whole time….it was you, Y/N…I…I don’t…” he muttered.
He paused. Then he put his hands on his hips and looked down. He licked his lips and his eyes scattered, a blush on his cheeks.
“I don’t…even know what to say now…how to put it…uh, Y/N…I…I, uh-”
“I love you too, Loki…and…I’m glad you’re okay now,” you breathed.
You were on him to kiss him again. He pulled you close. He moved a little tongue in. Your breath hitched from feeling him there. His hands on your back-keeping you pressed against him. Never wanting to let go.
“Y/N…don’t let this end here. Let me stay…let me stay for tonight…” he whispered.
“You can stay,” you said with a nod.
You felt his fingers dig into your skin. To leave his fingerprints on you.
He then moved on to kiss your neck. It tickled you a little. But he found a sensitive spot- a spot rarely kissed. He pressed his lips to it as he held you close. Then he used a bit of teeth. It elicited a groan from you. You felt him tense up as it escaped your lips. He sucked the area.
“Here…now you’ll never doubt that you are mine…and I am yours…”
He made another bite, another mark. Arousal squirmed inside you, releasing out to your panties with his touch, his lips on your skin. He kissed you again and you melted into it. The friction between you was building up. He squared his hips to meet your own and you stifled a gasp. His hands wander down your body-exploring each curve and shape, hidden only by the thin cotton of your sleepwear. Feeling you like a discovery of forgotten land. Finding each nook and curve of your shape inside your clothes. But you did not move an inch away-but kept him there. You ran a hand up to feel his back-always so warm. Masculine even.
“Loki…darling…” you moaned out as he kissed each bit of the sensitive skin between your neck and shoulder. His hands wrapped to be around your back.
He kissed you again. You reached your hand to rake through his dark curls- they had been washed and were so fresh and clean and soft-softer than the petals of the flowers on your desk.
You could feel something getting hard from his office pants. It brushed against the crotch of your own clothes and made you quench beneath.
“Y/N…my pet…I want…I want to have you…to have you now…will you let me?” he asked.
“Yes…yes, I do…I want you…” you agreed.
“Then… let's make up for lost time…” he growled.
He kept kissing you as he put his hands around your waist, grabbing you and taking you right to your bedroom. His hands moving back up to cup your face, to keep kissing you so close. He released and looked down at your clothes. He then touched your collar, seeing where it dipped, and showed a bit of your chest. He smiled as his hands went down, feeling the material.
“If I knew this had any chance of happening, I would’ve worn something else…” you confessed.
“Does that really matter when the best part will always be beneath it?” he asked.
With a flash of seidr from his fingers, the pajamas vanished and you were naked before him. You gasped at the cold. You fought the urge to cover yourself. It wasn’t that this was your first- but to show your body before Loki was a different matter. You have never wanted someone so bad, and you never felt more…vulnerable. Your arms flinched to cover your breasts then he caught you.
“Ah-ah, Don’t hide your beauty from me, not anymore…” he said with a playful tone.
He moved your arms aside to see you. He cupped one breast in his large, beautiful hand- thumb grazing the nipple, making you shiver.
“Yes…that is the best part…” he said.
He kissed you again, his hand wandering down- feeling your bare back. Even grazing your bottom, then going up to your hips, your curves. He was feeling you- treasuring each inch of you. He kissed you again as you connected your hips to his. Electricity shooting through you. You let out a shuddering groan. He gave you another smile- it was so lustful, so devilisih, so him.
“There’s something else I can do, my Y/N…would you like to try it?” he boasted quietly.
“Yes…show me what it is…”
“I can hold you back…tie you without any silk, any rope, any chains, any restraint…” he whispered.
“How?” you pressed.
There was a light flashing in his eyes-so light, so different. From the dim lights of your room out came shadows like his- with his horned helmets on them. The shadows lurched over and you almost gasped. Then they went down to the floor.
“They can touch you- do you want to know what they feel like?” he asked.
“Yes…”
The shadows reached out their arms, traveling up. They felt like mist when they grazed your skin. But then one pulled up your first arm high- and it was strong. You couldn’t break out of it, no matter how you tugged. Then the other lifted your other arm up high. The light was still in Loki’s eyes, the shadows lifted you up before him. A prize free for his taking. He grinned as they wandered on how your position made your breasts dangle before him.
“Now…where were we…ah, yes…” he said.
The shadows were strong but gentle as they moved you over. You were floating-then they laid you on the bed. Your arms were lifted to remain high over your head as your back went over the duvet. Your arms were held over your head, laying over the pillow.
“I…I like this power…”
He smirked, his hands still in his pockets.
“As do I…and I am bout to like them even more…”
More shadows appeared- they flicked across your legs.
“What pleasure is hidden between here- they can help show me, perhaps…”
They curled to your ankles and then gently opened your legs before him.-showing your dripping pussy before the god. He played cool. Only his quick breaths and the bulge in his pants hinted at his craving, his desire. Your breasts out and your legs opened- nothing hidden. Now the shadows had you out and open-something for him to devour, something out to be fucked.
He walked forward. He brought out a long finger. He touched your folds gently, sliding them down. You let out a gasp.
“L-Loki…” you breathed out. It was so sinful, so filthy you couldn’t help but love it.
“Why…this is quite the picture. If I could only paint it…but I only want this masterpiece for myself, and no one else.” he rasped.
He walked over to the bed. Then he crawled so he was between your legs. The shadows keeping your legs open. His hand grazed over your inner thigh.
“Here…you’ve been a good little angel Taking care of me. Shhhh-shhh- you don’t need to object, to think of my pleasure for now. You’ve worked so hard…now relax…let your god take care of you this time, darling.”
You were gasping and whimpering. He began to taste you- his tongue inside. He groaned as his tongue went further into your folds. His cold breath against your private wetness made public for him. Your arms flinched but the shadows held you tight. He flicked his tongue and you let out a small groan.
“L-L-Loki…yes…I-oh, oh god-yes…” you sputtered out.
His shadows lifted your hips so he could taste further. His tongue delved. It found your clit and you shuddered from it. He gave a few licks. He went up closer to where your clitoris was swollen and waiting for him. Then he stopped.
“Now this…this tastes better than any of those Midgardian meal down there…This one is sweeter, with much more juices…and this one I can devour at no cost at all…”
You were whimpering-letting him lick your clit. Letting his tongue go through- each bit of you. Explore you. Your own cries filled you up. But the shadows kept you wide open.
“L-Loki…that…that feels so-so good…”
With a small gasp, you felt pleasure spiral in you. He licked a bit further-and soon it broke on you. Like the wings of a bird when it catches the wind and lifts up. The pleasure burst and you let out a gasp from your petit mort.
Your heart was racing, and your blood coursing through you. Loki was smiling- his lips wet with your juices. And still fully clothed.
“I hope they don’t replace me-I’ve yet to get my hands on you again, my pet.”
He crawled on top of you. He kissed you so his tongue got into yours-another hole for him to claim. You could taste your own earthy scent and thick juices. Still restrained, he held you, grinding lightly onto you. Your hips lifted a little to meet his- no shadows needed. But you felt their cool touch curling around you. Touching all over you- he wanted to touch you, feel you, know you, devour you in every way.
“Please…I want more…I want you…I want you inside of me, Loki…” you begged.
He smirked, a curl coming loose on his face.
“Oh…my tongue was only to prepare you, my dear…I hope you are ready…”
“Yes…yes-please..I want you to fuck me, fuck me until I forget everything else…forget Kang, the TVA, timelines, all of it! I don’t care if it’s by your shadow’s cock or yours- I need you! All of you!”
“You need only ask, my dove,” he purred.
The green seidr flashed with a tilt of his head, then down it went. It melted his clothes off. He became naked. You underestimated how fit his body was. You forgot your words at this sight of his nakedness. How strong, muscled, and broad he was despite his leanness. His masculine hairs across his chest-his large, strong biceps. Abdominals and a very happy trail leading to his erect largeness. The shadows curled their grip around you. They pulled your legs to open wider.
“I hope you’re ready for the love of a god,” he murmured.
He embraced you, kissing you as he began to sink in. Bit by slow bit. He got himself in, groaning. You let out a cry when all of him was inside. He was so big, you had to adjust. Your arms flinched again but they remained held back. His arms reached around you-keeping you close. He then held you- his own hands digging into your hips and thrusting into you.
“Oh-oh, god!” you whimpered
“That’s- that’s what I like to- to hear-shall you try it again? Yes- yes-urgh- so-so tight, my love-yes-” he growled.
He began to slowly thrust into you. He groaned into it- slow, but steady. Intruding your insides. He rolled with you, a gentle rolling of his body. Kissing you deeply. Then he kept at it. Your voice escaped you. His cock disappeared and reemerged. But he looked at your face, in your eyes as he fucked you into your bed.
With a flick of his head, the shadows moved your legs so that your knees bent and you were angled deeper.
“Fuck! Oh-oh dear-Loki I-I-I can’t-shit-can’t believe this-this is-fuck- happening--happening right now-it’s-it’s-its-fuck!- too good to be true-” you breathed.
“Oh, it’s-it’s true darling…”
He thrust carefully, slowly. Then he picked up. His voice was like that of a hiss, right into your ear.
“And you’re-” Thrust. “-Mine.” Thrust.
He kept kissing you as he thrust, thrust, thrust. His shadows testing you, splaying you a little more open. Hearing each other's groans. Moaning your name, repeating it like a prayer of his own. A prayer only a god could give. His own grunts were deep and guttural. He found the right pace. Painting with each thrust, thrust, thrust.
“Yes…yes, you’re-you’re mine and-yes-I will…I will be yours-we are at each other’s mercy…now…yes-”
His pace increased. His shadows holding you back bed hitting itself against the wall. Then the shadows moved so your legs flew right up by him. It was so wild, so fast. Then his long finger curled to your entrance. Finding the clit. Rubbing so hard- so much. Slam, slam, slam, slam. You gasped- it was the right, perfect place. You were going up, up in your pleasure. His finger tested your clit faster, harder with his thrusts. You felt his voice, his groans rising in pitch. And that bubbling, spinning feeling was going inside you, your toes clenching as your legs were up in the air.
“Oh…oh gods…Loki…I’m going to cum again-I-I am…”
He held you close- this time his own flesh-his thrusts wilder, desperate. He was breathless, with every gasp, every taking in of pleasure, he urged you. His voice husky and to the point of breaking.
“Yes-yes-go-there-I…I can’t—cum, darling, cum with me-your heat, your wetness-it’s going to-going to overwhelm me-I…I can’t I-yes-yes-cry out-cry out my name, darling…I-I-I-”
His thrusts were so wild, pounding you right into the bed. Nailing you there, completely taking you over. That sweet spot- thrust, thrust, thrust, thrust, thrust-when it hit like lightning that you let out what started as his name, and then you hit it, it became a shout.
“L-Ah!”
It reverberated throughout your home. Whoever was next door or nearby would definitely hear it. With a strangled cry of his own, he arrived as well.
His shadows retreated. He still wrapped his arms around you, nuzzling into you. His arms wrapping around you. He felt so warm- you could smell his sweat, feel how he had to catch his breath. Your heart was still reeling after that bout of pleasure. He hugged you close.
“Holy shit…” you breathed out.
He let out a small smile and you both laughed.
“To think I could’ve been enjoying…that all this time, my dear…” he said, he kissed you on the forehead. “And now…I hope you don’t mind that again….”
“Can it be every day?” you asked.
“Of course!” he laughed.
He sighed as you settled into each other.
“What are we going to tell Mobius…the TVA?” you wondered.
“We’ll think of something…” he said.
You sat up, wrapping the blanket around you. With a bit of magic, he conjured a large shirt over you-soft and comfortable.
“I was going to get some wine and Cheesecake- would you like any?” you asked.
“Both Sounds lovely to me…but Y/N…I am genuinely sorry, I really am.” he said, his eyes wide and sweet.
“And I genuinely forgive you…emotions make people do things-”
He grinned.
“Such as this,”
He pulled you to his lap. You hugged and kissed his cheek. Yes, you would figure out life as a couple in the TVA together. Life with some new villain back and on the rise. But for now…you had to just enjoy each other. This new, blossoming, new love. Yes- how good that word felt rumbling in your mind. It echoed as he joined you to get plates and glasses.
You both smiled as you had your first sips and ate your first bites. He thanked you with a kiss- tasting sweeter than any food, dessert or dinner- could ever taste to you.

how do you see the dynamic between Sirius and Dumbledore? both want to protect Harry, but with different methods, and Dumbledore actually imprisoned Sirius in the 5th book... it seems to me that Sirius trusts him, but clearly not blindly, rather like Kingsley - trust, but think. and I also wonder how Sirius would have behaved in books 6-7 if Harry remembered the mirror fuck jkr for killing Sirius for the plot needs
This is a juicy topic, okay.
See, like, Sirius trusts Dumbledore, he has faith in him that he's the right man to defeat Voldemort and keep Harry safe. That's the big part here, because Sirius, post-Azkaban has really one goal, and that is to keep Harry as safe and alive as possible (also killing Peter, but it's a byproduct of the first one). And he thinks Dumbledore is the best for the job of keeping Harry safe from Voldemort. But he doesn't fully trust Dumbledore, and I don't think Sirius particularly likes Dumbledore.
Dumbledore, for his part, doesn't fully trust Sirius either, but I'll expand on that later.
We see Sirius' faith in Dumbledore's ability to protect in how willing he is to tell Dumbledore anything he thinks puts Harry in danger, even if Harry specifically didn't want to tell Dumbledore:
“I see,” said Dumbledore quietly. “I see. Now, has your scar hurt at any other time this year, excepting the time it woke you up over the summer?” “No, I — how did you know it woke me up over the summer?” said Harry, astonished. “You are not Sirius’s only correspondent,” said Dumbledore. “I have also been in contact with him ever since he left Hogwarts last year. It was I who suggested the mountainside cave as the safest place for him to stay.”
(GoF, 600)
Because keeping Harry safe is Sirius' priority.
At the same time, Sirius chafes a lot under Dumbledore's command. Sirius is not a person who likes being given orders. There was one person who Sirius was ever prepared to take ques from and it was James Potter. James, whom Sirius blames Dumbledore for the death of. Deep down, at least. Sirius is bitter over James and Lily's death because Dumbledore was supposed to protect them, that's what they all decided — and he failed.
So, Dumbledore dishing out orders in OotP gets Sirius really bitter towards him. Especially because Dumbledore forces him into essentially house arrest in a childhood home he thought (hoped)[] he'd never see again. So he's bitter over the past war, his current imprisonment, and probably the years in Azkaban when no one, including Dumbledore (supposedly), suspected he might've been innocent.
So, Sirius is in a state of being generally distrustful of Dumbledore and very bitter towards him and his actions as the leader if the Order, while sticking around becouse he believes Dumbledore's his best bet for keeping Harry safe. If Sirius could just take Harry and run, confident Voldemort won't come after them, and Harry would be happy that way, he would.
We're outright told how disillusioned with Dumbledore Sirius is:
“. . . I’ve been stuck inside for a month.” “How come?” asked Harry, frowning. “Because the Ministry of Magic’s still after me, and Voldemort will know all about me being an Animagus by now, Wormtail will have told him, so my big disguise is useless. There’s not much I can do for the Order of the Phoenix . . . or so Dumbledore feels.” There was something about the slightly flattened tone of voice in which Sirius uttered Dumbledore’s name that told Harry that Sirius was not very happy with the headmaster either. Harry felt a sudden upsurge of affection for his godfather.
(OotP, 83) - as an aside I love this conversation, Harry and Sirius arguing over which one of them had the worst summer. It's a vibe.
Sirius doubts Dumbledore's orders, referring to his logic as what he feels rather than thinks, implying the lack of reason in Sirius' opinion. Also, when Sirius talks about/to Dumbledore in Ootp, you hear in his voice how bitter and disillusioned he is, something Harry relates to during book 5.
Even back in Goblet of Fire, Sirius didn't fully trust Dumbledore, meaning this wasn't new with his imprisonment in Grimmauld Place especially his decision to hire Snape:
“I think they’ve both got a point,” said Sirius, looking thoughtfully at Ron and Hermione. “Ever since I found out Snape was teaching here, I’ve wondered why Dumbledore hired him. Snape’s always been fascinated by the Dark Arts, he was famous for it at school. Slimy, oily, greasy-haired kid, he was,” Sirius added
(GoF, 531)
Of course, Sirius has a specific vendetta against Snape, but it influences his opinion and trust in Dumbledore. He doesn't understand the logic, and he doesn't trust Dumbledore's judgment.
I think Sirius was never fully trusting of Dumbledore in the first war. Sirius is a lot like Harry in that, he just doesn't like authority and orders. He doesn't do well with that. I think he joined the Order mostly after James. I think, even in the first war, Sirius went on his own on occasion/disobeyed orders and it's part of why Dumbledore watches him as closely as he does and tries to control and limit Sirius. Dumbledore knows Sirius doesn't trust him or his orders, and the distrust is mutual. Dumbledore doesn't feel he can count on Sirius to follow his lead and his plans.
And we know Sirius doesn't.
We're shown repeatedly in conversation Sirius' bitterness towards Dumbledore:
“It’s not my fault you haven’t been told what the Order’s doing,” said Sirius calmly. “That’s your parents’ decision. Harry, on the other hand —” “It’s not down to you to decide what’s good for Harry!” said Mrs. Weasley sharply. Her normally kindly face looked dangerous. “You haven’t forgotten what Dumbledore said, I suppose?” “Which bit?” Sirius asked politely, but with an air as though readying himself for a fight. [...] “I don’t intend to tell him more than he needs to know, Molly,” said Sirius. “But as he was the one who saw Voldemort come back” (again, there was a collective shudder around the table at the name), “he has more right than most to —”
(OotP, 88)
There are two quotes above, the first relating to this post, the second less, but one I found interesting enough to include.
The second section is interesting because Sirius calls Voldemort by his name — Voldemort. No You-Know-Who bullshit. This strikes me as interesting since the only other two characters to do so consistently are Harry and Dumbledore. I like to think it's Sirius' bravery showing, but it's also his spite. He was stuck in Azkaban with Vodlemort's top death Eaters for 12 years, I think he would've found it funny to say Voldemort and all of them hissing: "You dare peak the Dark Lord's name!" and stuff like that. That's my headcanon for why Sirius says Voldemort's name.
The first section shows Sirius is bitter about his orders from Dumbledore, the fact that there are so many of them he can ask "Which bit?" He despises how Molly and Severus hold these orders over his head, treating him like a child when he very much isn't.
I think the Order of the Phoenix is an incredibly toxic environment for Sirius, not gonna lie.
It's mostly filled with people Sirius either doesn't like, doesn't trust, or both. Remus, while he is an old friend of Sirius, also treats Sirius with gloves in the way everyone else does. They are closer, they don't really have anyone else, but they don't trust each other like before the first war. James was who held their friendship together and you can feel the James filled hole. Remus is constantly trying to say what pleases everyone and ends up annoying everyone instead, including Sirius.
Basically, Sirius has no one in his corner among the adults and he feels useless and is treated like he's mentally unstable and made of glass. And while, yeah, his mental state isn't great, his state would've been better if the Order treated him like an adult.
There's a reason he seems most comfortable talking to the kids. He feels like he can talk to them as peers, they don't talk above him like he isn't there or treat him like he doesn't know himself.
“. . . He’s not a child!” said Sirius impatiently. “He’s not an adult either!” said Mrs. Weasley, the color rising in her cheeks. “He’s not James, Sirius!” “I’m perfectly clear who he is, thanks, Molly,” said Sirius coldly. “I’m not sure you are!” said Mrs. Weasley. “Sometimes, the way you talk about him, it’s as though you think you’ve got your best friend back!”
(OotP, 88)
Above Molly outright says to Sirius' face that he doesn't know who Harry is, but she's wrong.
“Personally,” said Lupin quietly, looking away from Sirius at last, as Mrs. Weasley turned quickly to him, hopeful that finally she was about to get an ally, “I think it better that Harry gets the facts — not all the facts, Molly, but the general picture — from us, rather than a garbled version from . . . others.” His expression was mild, but Harry felt sure that Lupin, at least, knew that some Extendable Ears had survived Mrs. Weasley’s purge.
(OotP, 89)
Remus says things he believes are true, but he's also trying so hard to walk the line between Molly and Sirius because he doesn't want to upset either of them.
Now, I mentioned above how Dumbledore doesn't really trust Sirius, how he keeps a close watch on him because he feels Sirius is a loose canon who wouldn't follow his orders and therefore couldn't be trusted. This is visible throughout GoF and OotP, and here are two quotes that show it:
“You are not Sirius’s only correspondent,” said Dumbledore. “I have also been in contact with him ever since he left Hogwarts last year. It was I who suggested the mountainside cave as the safest place for him to stay.”
(GoF, 600)
I already mentioned this quote above, but Dumbledore makes sure to be in correspondence with Sirius because he knows Harry would be. He knows Sirius and he knows Sirius would get involved in the coming war and Harry's life and he needs to keep control of his least controllable variable (besides Harry, but he thinks Harry is more controllable than he actually is).
“Meaning you’ve been known to act rashly, Sirius, which is why Dumbledore keeps reminding you to stay at home and —” “We’ll leave my instructions from Dumbledore out of this, if you please!” said Sirius loudly.
(OotP, 89)
And, of course, the orders in OotP that Sirius hated with all his being. Sirius could have gone out as a dog, he has, but no, Dumbledore forces him into house arrest and to cut contact with Harry in the first half of the summer. He instructs him to not tell Harry anything, and Sirius hates it. Sirius thinks he knows what's best for Harry better than Moly and Dumbledore (he kinda is right, I think he knows Harry's actual personality better than Dumbledore and Molly) and he hates being told what to do on anything, let alone something that's his responsibility, like being Harry's godfather.
It seems to me, like Sirius and Dumbledore never really liked each other, but where in the first war, they had James between them, in the second one they don't. I mean, Remus is there, and he's trying, I'm sure, but for both him and Sirius it's just not the same as James.
as I mentioned, all these instructions go to show Dumbledore is warry of Sirius since he can't fully predict what he'd do. Sirius is a dangerous soldier because he's capable, and he isn't a soldier at all when you get down to it — because he doesn't do orders.
As for the second part of your ask:
What if Sirius survived to books 6 & 7?
Well, let's imagine Sirius didn't fall into the vale, missed it by half an inch, and survived. That'll mean the fight in the ministry would've ended a little differently, maybe Voldemort passed Harry down at the Death Chamber since he didn't chase Bellatrix out of the ministry? Maybe Fudge wouldn't have seen Voldemort at all? Maybe Bellatrix was also sent back to Azkaban with Lucious Malfoy? Or if, as you mentioned, the fight didn't happen at all because Harry spoke to sirius on the mirror?
If we assume nothing changes in the battle outcome, we have a much more mentally sound Harry going into books 6 & 7. It means, he probably would've spent part of the summer at Grimmald Place with Sirius, who might've told him about Slughorn as a teacher before the year started. Once Harry gets suspicious of Draco, he'd writes to Sirius, who'll believe him and distrusts Snape, so, the book would go kinda of the same, except someone believes Harry.
(Maybe he'd actually give Harry advice on how to test food for love potions, I mean, someone has to)
Book 7 is the one that changes most drastically. I think they wouldn't have the same doubts about Grimmald Place if Sirius were alive. Sure, the Fidelius broke, but you can't tell me there aren't other defensive wards over it from years of use by the black family.
Also, throughout book 6, even if Dumbledore told Harry not to tell Sirius about their lessons, Harry would've pulled the mirror out every night and told him (which is why I don't think Dumbledore would've told him not to tell Sirius if he was alive). And when the Horcrux hunt came about in book 7, Sirius would've joined them and learned about Regulus (honestly, he would've made finding R.A.B. so much easier).
Also, if Sirius wasn't dead, Mundungus might've not stolen the locket and then it would've still been in Grimmauld Place and there was no need to infiltrate the ministry. Also, depending on which of Bellatrix's vaults she placed the cup in, they might've had an easier time there too. If it was, say, a Black family vault, maybe Sirius could've gotten access.
Regardless, having Sirius around would've made Harry, Ron, and Hermione feel better about the whole hunt even if it wasn't easier, although I think it would've been.
The other big difference, Sirius, too, would've opposed Harry killing himself. Trying desperately to find a different solution. I think Harry would've still sacrificed himself, Sirius being another life on the line he cares about to die for.
But, like, how much would change would heavily depend on the smaller details, especially in the battle at the DoM. So, you could write in however far or close to canon if you feel like writing the fic. If the battle doesn't happen, Voldemort might have the prophecy and the ministry would not know Voldemort is back into book 6, so everything changes.
I think the main reason she killed Sirius was for Harry's mental state and his feelings of loneliness. He wouldn't have been as brash or cheeky in books 6 & 7 if Sirius was alive. He also might've not gotten together with Ginny if he wasn't as only and desperate to project a connection on someone.
So, yeah.

we meet again
(so @arliedraws created a slytherin!sirius universe in which james in an auror and sirius is a death eater (or is he??) and they have unfulfilled homoerotic urges for one another and i...came up with this idea, and it's been in my brain (and @impishtubist's SMS text messages for licherally months). It seemed that arlies most recent day of birth was an appropriate time to drop this. xoxo)
--
James's cheeks hurt from smiling so widely as two first-year aurors brought out a cake, lit with an abundance of candles that shot up into the air spelling out Happy Retirement Auror Potter! To complete the package, the cake was decorated as a tropical lagoon. Crystal blue waters, and yellow sprinkles on top to mimic a sunset. Sending James a final subliminal message to cash in his 30 years of unspent vacation time, aside from a few days here and there, and disappear into the tropics. Off the grid, off radar, off the cases. Officially.
Not that James was one who ever said I cannot wait to retire in passing--because he had loved every moment of his years in the aurors department. His first year in the training program, his first big raid, his promotion to Senior Auror, to Director of the Department and finally in his last year, the ultimate promotion of having the responsibility of training new aurors. He had put in the work, and he could leave the department and rest easy knowing everyone left behind would continue to do faithful and just work for the wizarding world. Including his son, Harry who, after years of telling James no I'm not coming into the department, I don't want to, I'm not following in your footsteps, shove off, Dad and trying a host of obscure occupations just to prove a point (most recently a shop clerk at Florean Flortescue) he finally confessed to James he had applied.
James tried to pretend he wasn't elated. Harry tried to pretend he wasn't equally as excited, both of them concealing smiles on Harry's first day in the department. Keeping it cool as the Potter Men were known to do.
"I can't believe you actually did it," Harry said, as cake was passed around, the retirement party in full swing. James was halfway through his slice, blue frosting magically enchanted to pool around the rim of his plate.
"Did you doubt it?"
"Yes," Harry stressed, alongside Moody and Sturgis Podmore, both chatting within earshot. Harry gave James a pointed look, as if to say see, it's not just me. "I thought you were going to delay it again just last week when you got all weepy about writing the report details for your last training class. 12 pages--"
"It's important to be thorough--"
"And that last one was damp, swear," Harry teased, and James shook his head cutting off another bite of cake.
"Oh, just you wait. You'll be crying at your desk too when the time comes," James told him, teeth tinted blue as he spoke, "and you'll look around and wonder where the time went and wish you could--"
Harry dropped his head to the side, closing his eyes and letting out a small snore, earning a loud laugh from Moody, before pretending to wake up, "Sorry? I must've fallen asleep while you were reminiscing."
"Reflecting," James corrected.
"Much more interested in our vacation--"
"Oh no, you're much too busy," James told him, letting out a low whistle, "I've seen that training curriculum and I don't think you'll have time for much of anything for the next few...years?" James shrugged, "Looks like I'll be seeing Santorini, and Turks and Caicos all by myself. Maybe I'll finally take your advice and," James paused to think for a moment, "What is it you've been telling me? Find--"
James sentence was cut off by the department doors opening, Kingsley Shacklebolt striding in, violet robes trailing behind him, jaw clenched and eyebrows close together. James couldn't help but laugh a little as Harry seemed to straighten up, putting his hands behind his back as the Minister of Magic made his way toward Moody and the other Senior Aurors in the room. James had known Kingsley for years--and by extension, Harry had known Kingsley for years, but everything seemed to shift when Kingsley went from Your Dads Friend with the Cool Tattoos and Earrings, to Minister of Magic and Effectively Your Boss. Harry cleared his throat and gave James a nod, before following the other younger aurors in looking extremely busy around the office. Suddenly papers were all too out of place, and there was much work to be done, when only moments before, they were playing a rousing game of napkin Quidditch.
"Sorry, Potter, this celebration may have to be cut short. Auror Bones just sent a patronus, and that burglary down at Diagon Alley might not be so simple after all," Shacklebolt said, dropping his voice lower, "The owner of the shop confessed to having some...untoward artifacts in the back, and you'll never guess what was taken."
"What kind of artifacts?" James asked.
"You're retired, Potter."
James looked at his watch, "I'm not retired for another two hours, now what kind of artifacts?"
"Reliquaries is how the owner described them. Heirlooms that have been passed down in his family for centuries...which means--"
"Layers of dark magic." Moody mumbled.
"That's not the important piece, I'm afraid," Kingsley continued, "The only reason the owner knew there had been a burglary was because the backdoor was left unlocked. I remember when I was a junior auror here...there was a series of home theft...shop theft...all of them with the back entry way left open and--"
"A note," James cut him off immediately, eyes wide as his heart pounded against his rib cage. He could feel a flush fall over his body, acid rising in his throat.
"Oh no," muttered Moody.
"What did the note say?" James asked again and Kingsley hesitated, sharing a glance with Moody.
"Potter, you're retiring, enjoy your--"
"What did the note say?" James asked again, this time loud enough to catch the attention of other members of the department.
"Finders keepers."
--
James's ears were ringing as he left the auror department, not even pausing after Kingsley had spoken the words on the note. Two single words, and suddenly James couldn't see straight. Couldn't think straight.
Finders keepers, finders keepers, finders keepers.
It didn't matter that James was set to retire in an hour and a half.
It didn't matter he had left a party in his honor. It also didn't matter that his lips were stained blue from cake, or that he had dinner plans with Harry after the party to celebrate, just the two of them. He threw open the door to his office, the walls now barren and the space void of any personal touches, and quickly went toward his filing cabinet.
This case, had been the only one James had be removed from. This case, had been the only one in thirty years that had just been marked closed with no real resolution. A series of home thefts over the course of three months, all seemingly connected, but they came up empty every time, eventually abandoning it. After three months, after James was removed from the case, not a single report.
Every time a burglary had been called in since, James read the file and poured over every detail, hoping for more information. For a reason to reopen the case. But none was ever found. James had the dates memorized. Pulling each report one by one, and opening them to the notes found at each scene.
Finders keepers.
He grabbed the files, shrinking them and shoving them into the pockets of his robes, wand in hand as he left his office once more, closing the door behind him. Moody, and Kingsley were already on their way down the hall, nearly chasing after James, urgency in their footsteps to stop him from doing something stupid.
"Potter!" Moody barked
"Evening, Alastor. I believe I have a party to be getting back to," James said simply, though sweat was dripping down his back, beading on the center of his forehead. He ran a hand through his greying hair, in a way he hoped was nonchalant and not in a way that looked dangerously suspicious.
"Potter, do I need to remind you, you were removed from this case and--"
"I'm retired, w-why in Merlins name would--don't be--no, I-I'm not, and there's no, it's a party! I'm having a great time, have a good night!" James gave them both a wave before resuming his brisk walk-run down the hallway, shoes squeaking on the tile floor, eager to get out of the department
He knew where to go.
He knew he shouldn't be going there.
But.
He had to.
There was a fireplace on the first floor of the Ministry of Magic for floo access. James approached the fireplace, thinking, briefly, that perhaps it was foolish to think that after all this time he might still have access--clearance-- to this location. He grasped a handful of floo powder anyway, closing his eyes as he stepped into the fireplace.
"NUMBER TWELVE GRIMMAULD PLACE!"
--
The sitting room looked exactly as James remembered it.
Sort of.
The curtains had been changed. They were a deep yellow now instead of grey like they were the last time James was here. The carpet had been removed, and James stepped out of the fireplace onto cool hardwood floors.
The pristine black leather couch, and the gaudy chandelier were the same though. So were the end tables, and the armchair in the corner with a hand-embroidered throw pillow. James had laughed at it then, because a crook shouldn't have had something so dainty and delicate so proudly on display in their home. So distracted by the decor, the once familiar smells and sounds of Number 12, he didn't notice the man in the doorway.
"I have to admit, Potter, this is quite the surprise."
James jumped, hand immediately grasping the wand on the inside of his robes, attention turning toward the man in the doorway. Dress shirt rolled up to his elbows, not quite tucked into his trousers; dark hair cut shorter than the last time James saw him. 20 years ago. He was wearing house slippers, which shouldn't have been odd, considering they were indoors and among other names James could've called him, Sirius Black was far from a barbarian, and knew better than to wear shoes around the house. But the slippers were fur lined. And James had to stop the corners of his mouth from grinning--just as they had at the pillow.
All at once, James was in his thirties again. Not his fifties.
And he was staring at Sirius Black. Tall, dark, irritating, criminal , Sirius Black. Thoughts racing, with absolutely nothing to say. Tongue swollen in his mouth.
"I could have you arrested," Sirius remarked casually, tilting his head to the side. "I believe this is what people in your line of work call trespassing, isn't it?"
"Your floo let me in," James responded, sounding much younger, and much more petulant than he intended. It was always that way around Sirius. James had thought that years as an auror would put him in a better position to deal with Sirius Black and his quick tongue. That this time he would be ready, and James would be able to respond with ease and not stare and stammer as he did in the past.
He was wrong.
"Ah, so this is just poor manners? Or did I forget the moment I invited you to my home? Did we have dinner plans?"
"Well, no but--"
"No to poor manners? Or no I didn't forget?"
James rolled his eyes up to the ceiling, "We didn't have plans, Black. I'm not here for a chat--"
"But we have so much to catch up on. It's been ages-- how's your son?"
"Cut the shit, Black. I know you were behind the burglary down in Diagon Alley."
Sirius gasped, pressing his hand to his chest, looking surprised and affronted by James's accusation, "Me? But I've been at home all day. Baking. Would you like a slice of rhubarb, Potter?" Sirius gestured with his head, turning around to walk back through the doorway and down the hall of Grimmauld Place.
James followed.
"Well, don't stand there, you can have a seat. Make yourself at home," Sirius gestured to the kitchen table. Fresh flowers in the center. James took a seat, watching as Sirius waved his wand to begin slicing a pie on the counter, all the while smirking at James with his arms folded across his chest. "Do you still take your tea with cream?"
"No!" James objected, "I mean, I do but don't offer me tea, I'm here--"
"Yes, yes, very official auror business, I remember. Just because you have poor manners and show up unannounced to people's homes--"
"I don't!"
"--doesn't mean that I do, and you're a guest in my home, so I am going to offer you tea. Do you still take it with cream?"
"Yes...thank you," James said, watching as Sirius poured two cups of tea, sending them over to the table, along with the pie before joining James.
Black still had that same damn smile. Not a grey hair in sight, though had more creases under his eyes.
"Thank you," James repeated, looking down at the pie in front of him, something clicking in his brain. "Why...why do you have this pie?"
Sirius smiled slowly. "Why not?"
"Why do you have a rhubarb pie, Black?"
"Well, since you asked. A little birdie told me you were retiring from the auror department and...I just thought I'd...prepare for the occasion. It's your favorite, isn't it?"
#a slytherin sirius universe#prongsfoot#dribble#this could honestly be approximately thousands of words#i really enjoy this universe and love the idea of sirius absolutely rattling james to his core#and sirius just doing things to get james attention#happy belated birthday arlie!!!#i hope i did your little world justice#sirius black#james potter#also this is unedited i wrote it and yeeted it so dont @ me about anything byeeeee

leroy and alphonso snickered with each other causing jamal to turn his head to see what was so funny. “it’s so obvious, jamal. can’t you just ask her out already?”
“what do you mean, obvious?”
“he’s talking about how much you love y/n,” leroy laughed, biting into his salad. jamal shook his head in annoyance, trying to pretend like it didn’t bother him.
jamal liked his life to be personal, meaning who he liked. so it was right for him to be annoyed at them.
“i don’t love her.”
“but you like her,” alphonso chirped up, voice going octaves louder which made jamal stand from his seat. “be quiet.”
he left the table and threw his rubbish in the bin, walking past you as he did so. when you spotted him, you jumped from your seat and caught up with him.
“hey, jamal. the boss said he wants you to do another check up later, so can you come to my office in about twenty minutes?”
“yeah, sure. i’ll-i’ll see you later.”
you watched as he walked off, confused as to why he wasn’t being his usual chatty self around you. you scratched your food also, deciding to just head to your office to prepare for the rest of the day.
you were in the middle of getting your gloves on when he knocked on the door, poking his head around the corner to see if you were okay with him coming in.
“sure, just lay down and i’ll grab everything,” you told him, pointing towards the bed. he sat down, pulling his top up so you could check his heart rate.
“do-do we have to do that?”
“what, your heart rate? of course we do, silly,” you joked, but when you put the device onto his chest you were shocked at how fast it was beating.
his face blushed a deep red. that was your first sign.
+
“how’s your drink?”
you jumped a little at jamal’s voice, being caught off guard by his sudden appearance.
bayern were having a celebration party for winning the league again, and you were currently sat alone by the bar because kingsley had decided to go to the toilet.
he was the other player you were closest with after jamal, the both of you getting on like a house on fire.
“it’s not as good as i thought it would be. kingsley suggested it.”
jamal didn’t like how jealous that made him feel and he swallowed it down and took the empty seat next to you.
“so kingsley, hm?”
you looked at him as if he had two heads. “what about him?”
“do you like him?”
the laugh that escaped your throat was almost inhumane and jamal wanted to laugh along with you, but he also wanted to know.
from afar, leroy and alphonso watched, waiting for one of you to make the first move. “ten euro’s she makes the first move.”
“fifty he makes the first move,” alphonso bit back and the two shook hands. it was an advantage for alphonso because he knew what was coming.
“what’s so funny?”
you stopped your laughing to assure jamal that nothing was going on between you and kingsley, but before you could, you noticed how annoyed he looked.
“there’s-there’s nothing going on between us.”
he seemed to calm down a little. you shuffled so you were now fully facing him. he was playing with his fingernails and you moved to stop him doing so.
“i like you.”
it felt like the air had been knocked from your lungs when you heard him utter those three words. “what?”
“i like you. a lot.”
“you do?”
“i thought it was obvious. everyone said so.”
it made sense now. you looked over to see alphonso and leroy watching you both like hawks.
“i thought it was obvious i liked you!”
you both laughed and jamal leaned forward, silently asking for permission to kiss you. you nodded, and he kissed you.
leroy groaned as he pulled fifty euros from his wallet, slamming it down on the table before leaving to go and congratulate you both.

Dunes & Waters, part 40
PART 1 • PREVIOUS PART • NEXT PART
They spend the day in Cairo.
“Do what you want, Remus,” Kingsley says, resigned, “Just… don’t let him out of your sight.”
“Wasn’t planning to,” Remus answers and Kingsley looks so disturbed by the notion that Remus thinks it came across different than he meant it.
They behave like tourists - a silly thing, from people with over a decade of combined research experience in Egyptian matters. But the day is hot, and Cairo is lovely, and Remus licks melting ice cream from Sirius’ cone to try the flavour. It’s cherry. He thinks he’s in love.
Sirius is dressed in wide-bottomed, floral-patterned shorts, a white shirt with its collar open. Sunglasses perched atop his head. It’s the same outfit droves of tourists wear, but on none other does it look like that. Like it was made just for him, like the purple swirls of blossom only bloomed to inspire the designer so they could make the clothes Sirius would wear. A strand of hair falls over his face so prettily Remus would be convinced it was purposeful if not for the fact that he saw Sirius roll out of bed that morning and do nothing to it.
He can’t believe that he gets to fall asleep and wake up next to that, that he gets to watch that mind at work.
“The new moon is on the fourth,” Sirius says over a shared plate of Fūl. (The smell made Remus’ mouth water as they passed the restaurant, someone at one of the tables eating a portion. They had to stop.)
“When did you have time to check that?”
“The date? I knew it already.”
There’s no reason to, for Sirius. “Why?”
“What do you mean why. You know why.” The words come with such precise eye contact Remus can’t even try to misunderstand.
“But… why?” He asks again, this time with different meaning.
“Remus, you know why.” Sirius answer, and the words are the same but they are so, so different.
Remus thinks he does. Sees it in the mornings as they wake up, side by side, and in their office as they work together, and in their apartment as they live together. He’s not sure when it changed, from nothing but two people occupying one space to this, but the change is obvious and, from a distance, startling.
Doesn’t have the words for what it is, not in any of the languages he can understand. Not yet. He hopes soon.
“Will you make it? The potion?”
“I’m not very good at that, unfortunately,” Remus admits. He has to, because it’s true. And because he can’t mess up his research for the sake of appearing more competent than he is, but saying it to Sirius? Mortifying. Makes him wish he paid more attention when his mum tried to teach him.
“I can, then, if you don’t want to hire someone.”
“Let’s check what the Box says on the inside, first. Don’t want to wast time if it’s something silly, like a hair potion.”
“Her hair was rather lovely,” Sirius laughs. “But I doubt it. You don’t go through all the trouble she’s gone through if it’s not important. Will that be enough time for you to translate?”
It will be. He’s looking forward to it, to getting back to their office and working on it again, but it’s bittersweet with finishing this holiday they made themselves, lazy days and long night and Sirius, Sirius, Sirius.

15 21 fics where Draco takes care of Harry
Happy Weekend folks! The last reclist for this self-indulgent HBD Harry celebration week brings the trope we all love and deserve: Harry being taken care of! Let 👏🏻 that 👏🏻 boy 👏🏻 be happy! I’m really soft for this trope because it delivers delicious character development and emotional payoff. Harry deserves all the nice things and I love seeing Draco willing to provide it, whether in the form of physical comfort, protection, shelter, medical care or just good old diq. I wanted to follow the previous lists format but ended up with 20 fics which means I left a bunch out (my first draft had around 30 🤡). As usual I tried to include both classics and hidden gems, and especially some that aren’t in the other lists. Enjoy!
Ceremonials by @jackvbriefs (NR, 4k)
“What are you doing here?” Harry said. This Malfoy blinked up at him, then lifted the bottle of tequila. “I’m teaching you how to make a drink.”
Is This Love? By @phdmama (E, 4k)
Draco wouldn’t call himself a tender man. He fights the forces of evil for a living, trying his best to pay penance for the evil he’s done. He’s fought and killed in the name of duty, and when he’s not on duty, he tends either to play hard or retreat alone. He doesn’t lean on anyone, and he knows he’s not the first person anyone goes to when they need care. Comfort. That all changes tonight.
It Never Occurred to Me That I Would Fall in Love With a Frenchman by lamerezouille (T, 6k)
Harry kisses Draco in a public place. All hell breaks loose.
Unseen by astolat (M, 11k)
When he wasn’t wearing it, he got jumpy, always waiting for someone to come at him wanting something—and now they did it even more urgently, if they ever saw him, because most of the time, nobody did.
Nice Things by aideomai (M, 22k)
The first thing that happened was Theodore Nott came back from France.
Lusimeles by spqr (E, 23k)
“You’re not special, Potter,” Kingsley informs him, not looking up from his work. “But I’ve already done Occlumency training!” Harry splutters, indignant. “And it’s Malfoy.”
just tell me when it’s alright by M0stlyVoid (E, 23k)
Harry’s been fighting tooth and nail for any bit of normalcy he can get his hands on. He’s sick of feeling like something’s wrong with him, tired of feeling different. He thinks he’s finally gotten to the root of it, and has settled into a routine that makes him happy. Naturally, that’s when Draco Malfoy walks back into his life and upends it once again. Has Harry bitten off more than he can chew with his former rival?
The Green Vial by @eidheann (E, 31k)
After months of seeing Harry Potter walk into his Apothecary disappointed and hopeless, Draco offers to carry the baby that Harry can't. Now he's just got to hide the fact that he's been half in love with Harry for years.
Expecto Patronum by @writcraft (E, 35k)
Harry Potter is the most sought after celebrity in wizarding Britain. His every movement is scrutinised, his relationships questioned and his photographs plastered over every paper. Harry's used to everyone thinking he’s a hero and has had plenty of time to learn how to keep his biggest secrets hidden from the press. As Draco Malfoy negotiates his feelings for the wizarding world's brightest star, he becomes increasingly attached to Harry and unravels the secrets he keeps hidden from the rest of the world.
(Un)wanted by @aibidil (E, 36k)
Ginny's pregnant, then she's not and Harry's single. Harry, again with no family, doesn't know what to do with this turn of events, or how to find a new life—post-war, post-Ginny, post-abortion—in which he belongs. He doesn't expect that life to include dancing to the Backstreet Boys with Hermione and Draco Malfoy. A story of finding belonging in the unexpected.
Breathe In (and Feel No Hurt) by Constance1 (T, 38k)
A tale of love, loss, and of finding hope again. Or the story of how Draco turned into a house-cat in order to secretly bother a depressed Harry Potter until he was no longer feeling sorry for himself.
Chocolate and Pastry by agentmoppet, anemonen (E, 50k)
When Pansy bets Draco that there is no chance he and Harry could carry out a genuine romantic relationship, he and Harry form a plan. But as their fake relationship progresses, Draco sees a side of Harry he never expected. Harry is struggling with something, pushing it far down inside him where he doesn't have to acknowledge its existence. Draco starts to worry, and then he starts to care, and then... horribly... he starts to fall in love.
Sweeten to Taste by @saintgarbanzo and @babooshkart (E, 51k)
It starts with Draco's buckwheat crepes with honeyed oranges. Or maybe it starts with his porridge with toasted walnuts and homemade apple butter. Or perhaps it starts with the cinnamon buns Draco made from scratch with mascarpone icing. Harry just knows he's hungry for more.
Meet Me at Midnight by @the-starryknight (T, 57k)
Harry was beginning to wonder if he’d ever make anything again when Malfoy stormed through the door of Harry’s furniture shop. Now Harry’s got an impossible Ministry commission to finish, and even less energy than ever to deal with his elusive muse. That is, until he stumbles upon the surreal and beautiful world of a mysterious fae creature…
I Am Not Who I Became by mab_di (E, 93k)
Draco left England after the trials and has travelled the world meeting wizards and Muggles from different cultures and with vastly different relationships to magic, each other, and the natural world. Now he's a fisherman in Finland on commercial vessels. Harry has been struggling since the war and has become a recluse while trying to write his autobiography.
A Thousand Beautiful Things by geoviki (M, 100k)
Draco Malfoy struggles with changed fortunes, shifted alliances, an ugly war, and an unusual spell, with the help of a concerned professor, an insightful house-elf, and an unexpected Gryffindor friend.
Far From The Tree by aideomai (E, 112k)
The arrival of Harry Potter’s children—snapped back in time, the children themselves guessed, twenty or so years—was the most interesting thing to happen at Hogwarts for years.
A Sword Laid Aside by @korlaena (E, 128k)
When Draco’s cover is blown during a deep undercover operation and the Ministry is compromised, Ron takes Draco to the only safe place he can think of—Potter. Hiding out with a taciturn Harry Potter, who has been missing from the Wizarding World for almost two decades after a shocking fall from grace, is nothing like Draco thought it would be.
Any Instrument by @dictacontrion (E, 131k)
Draco Malfoy wouldn't go back to England for anything less than an exceptional case. Being asked to figure out why Harry Potter can't control his magic might be exceptional enough to qualify.
By the Grace by lettered (T, 140k)
Harry is an Auror instructor. Malfoy wants to be an Auror.
Twist of Fate by Oakstone730 (T, 300k)
Draco asks Harry to help him beat the Imperius curse during 4th year. The lessons turn into more than either expected. A story of redemption and forgiveness.

A Killer’s Poem (WIP)
Summary: Harry met her husband in the library when she was twenty. He was an elderly gentleman named Tom, a retired university professor. Harry doesn't know her husband is a serial killer - the same one who carved the scar on her forehead and orphaned her - and when the police arrests him she says that must be wrong but all the evidence points otherwise...
These are only some scenes I wrote for the fic. Thanks to @loneamaryllis for providing some great lines! 💕💕❤️
Harry couldn't believe she was at the police station with Mr Lestrange, the lawyer whose number she found in the phonebook Tom gave her for emergencies. Having policemen drag her husband and cuff him while asking Harry if she was hurt — No, she was not, why were they cuffing Tom — and a detective calling Tom a “sick bastard” after he recognised Harry as the almost-victim of Lord Voldemort (a serial killer who was never caught). He’d pulled Harry away from Tom like Tom would hurt her, and told Tom, “You’re under arrest, Lord Voldemort.”
Harry thought the policemen had gone off the rails. Her husband was a man of poetry and prose, not of a dagger and a gun. He held books, not guns or knives. He was seventy-four, for God’s sake!
Harry insisted going with the policemen to the police station.
***
The police officers showed her the pictures of all the victims. They were all similar, young women with dark hair and lovely faces.
In the files of their eye colour, all of their eyes were green.
Harry tried not to tremble.
“It wasn't Tom.” she repeats, feeling like a broken record. Tom, who was seventy-four, grey-haired and grumpy in the mornings before his tea — or sex. Tom, who quoted all sorts of poems and literature to her. Tom, who took her to theatre and suffered through Titanic with her every time on the sofa, soothing her as she sobbed over Jack’s sad fate.
“I'm surprised he used his former name with you.” said the police officer, and Harry wanted to grab him and shake him, shout that Tom isn’t Voldemort, that Voldemort isn’t Tom. “But then again, you knew him by his alias, Voldemort.”
“It isn't Tom,” Harry spat.
The detective sighed. He walked back to the doors and whispered to one of his people, “Bring her to the screening room.”
The agent looked surprised. He glanced to Harry with worry.
“Sir, are you sure we should —”
“She deserves to see the real him. Now move it, Diggory.”
Liar. thought Harry acidly, glaring at the detective. Liar. Liar. Liar. Liar.
***
Tom is on the other side of the glass. The detective is showing him the same photographs of the dead bodies — Voldemort’s victims.
“This isn’t being recorded.”
“I’m aware.” replied Tom coolly.
“You can be honest here. Why did you kill them?”
His smile was dark and menacing, sending terror down Harry’s spine.
In the light, his brown eyes turned red.
Red...
Harry remembered the red eyes vaguely, always waking up in a cold sweat, remembering the crimson red, their flames threatening to engulf her, destroy her...
“Because they weren’t her.”
“It means something different, that sentence, with you, doesn't it?” asked Detective Shacklebolt.
Tom smiled again — that terrifying smile.
Who is this? This can’t be Tom. This isn’t Tom.
“Yes, indeed,” murmured Tom silkily. “If I killed Harry, I would never feel that rush of victory again. It would be completely over. I killed them because they weren't her. They weren't her, so I could kill them, imagine it was Harry, for those precious moments... Without ever truly hurting Harry.”
Tom smiled gleefully, grinning wide.
“Wonderful, isn’t it?” he crowed.
***
“We’ve lost the evidence.”
“Lost?” asked Harry, cringing at the hoarseness of her voice. “What do you mean, lost?”
“We’re releasing your husband from custody at 9 am when the paperwork is done.” said Detective Kingsley; he sounded defeated. “Mr Lestrange is already here, filling out the paperwork. Your husband’s suing us, including for emotional abuse inflicted on you.”
Harry gulped. “I... I don’t want to sue —”
“Your husband’s suing, either way.” said Kingsley with a tired sigh. Harry could imagine him pinching the bridge of his nose. “I’m sorry, Harry. But at least you know now.”
What was that worth now?
“He's sending Lestrange's brother to pick you up. He... how did he become so attached to you? He didn’t stop asking about you.”
Harry didn’t know.
***
“Does your stomach still hurt?” he asked. His old, slender, large, thin hand reached out to touch her.
Harry scooted away from its reach, like it was a spider about to gorge itself on her flesh.
Voldemort’s grey eyebrows furrowed. He brought his hand back to his side, but his eyes were dark, and his gaunt jaw tense, showing clear displeasure.
“I’ll go make you some tea.” he said. Before Harry could scoot away, he leant down — she flinched, closing her eyes, hoping the killing blow would be quick — and kissed her sweaty forehead.
He stood up from the edge of the bed and left, closing the doors behind himself.
Before Harry could stop them, she burst into tears, the salty trail rushing down her cheeks.
Nausea hit Harry again. Clenching her teeth, she moved her legs to the side, setting them on the floor.
Another bout of nausea hit Harry as she stood on uneasy legs. Feeling the bile rise up, gagging midway through the bathroom door, Harry collapsed against the bowl of the toilet and threw up.
Panting and shaking, Harry couldn’t help as another gag assaulted her, and she vomited into the toilet again.
Harry heard footsteps rushing up the stairs. She tried to get up, but only ended up on the bathroom rug again.
Her muscles felt weak, all her energy suddenly stolen from her by the bout of nausea.
Voldemort rushed into the room, nearly knocking the doors down from the force he opened them with. When he entered the bathroom, he looked insane.
Harry’s eyes fluttered close and opened again. The face of a murderer was replaced by an expression of concern.
By the time Harry realised he was touching her, it was too late to tell him to stop.
“It’s all right.” he said.
No it isn’t. thought Harry, but she didn't say anything, too busy catching her breath, too busy leaning back into his warmth on instinct, on habit.
Voldemort whispered comforts in her ear, and when Harry gagged again and threw up, he held her hair back. And when she collapsed back, all saliva and sobs and tears into his chest, he wrapped his arms around her and held her tight, as well.
It felt like nothing changed. If she closed her eyes, she could call him Tom in her head again, and he’d be her wonderful, attentive husband.
Harry heard the water flush, and she felt dizzy, just like the spinning water. She felt hands cradle the back of her head and her knees, before she was being lifted up. She kept her eyes closed, focusing on the soothing smell of her husband’s cologne.
The plush, soft mattress was like paradise, and her head was placed on an upholstered pillow.
“Did those fools give you expired food?” hissed Voldemort. The sound of his cold, menacing voice broke the illusion.
Harry shook her head twice. “Didn’t eat anything...”
A hand pressed to her forehead. Grey eyebrows furrowed.
“No fever.” he said. “When did your stomachache start?”
“I dunno...” she slurred tiredly. She just wanted to sleep... “Two hours after I got to the police station. I threw up the first time there, too, but that was...”
After it sunk in you are my would-be-killer.
The silence stretching along made her more nauseous.
“I’ll call our doctor.” he said, bending down and kissing her on the forehead; his lips were warm, and she melted into the pillow. “Stay in bed. I’ll bring you a bowl if you need to throw up again.”
Harry found herself dozing off, aware yet not, finding a bowl cradled in her hands the next time of awareness, then their doctor’s voice murmuring as her temperature was taken, then the pulse, Voldemort’s fingers holding her hand...
A hand was caressing down her hair. Recognising it, Harry instinctually leaned into it. Tom was whispering her name, his silken voice bewitching her deeper into sleep.
“Wake up...”
Harry didn't want to. She felt nice and warm here, on the bed with Tom whispering gently to her...
“Harry.”
Harry opened her eyes. Tom was looking at her, his face stern.
“You need to go to the bathroom, darling.”
Blinking, sleep still weightening her eyes, Harry stared at her husband, wondering why he was telling her she needs to go to the bathroom.
“You need to take a pregnancy test.”
That woke Harry up. Her eyes shot open, stretching wide.
“Very funny.” said Harry, not finding it funny at all. “Taking the piss out of me after everything you did. Let me sleep.”
Harry turned away from him.
“I’m not joking.” said Voldemort behind her as Harry closed her eyes to go to sleep. “Everything is normal. It’s better to do it and remove the possibility of your nausea being caused by pregnancy. That way, we’ll know if it’s a stomach flu —”
“Leave me alone.” said Harry.
Harry could feel Voldemort's eyes boring into her skull. With a yawn, she said, “I’ll do it tomorrow. I’m tired.”
Harry felt Voldemort leave the bed, his weight disappearing from her side, taking his warmth with him. Harry’s eyes fluttered shut, and she fell back to sleep. Harry woke with another sense of nausea.
By the clock on the dresser, it was 7am. Voldemort’s side of the bed was used, but he was nowhere around.
Probably in the kitchen making breakfast.
Harry took a bit to wake up fully. When she did, she had to pee very badly, and decided to get it over with. She took the pregnancy test on the night table and went to the bathroom.
Twenty seconds later, she laid back on the bed and yawned, placing the pregnancy test stick on the night table.
When she next opened her eyes, two pink lines on the pregnancy stick were staring back at her.
A surge of panic hit her, and she shot up from the bed, grabbing the stick, then her glasses, because surely she was seeing double...
She wasn't. Two pink lines stared back at her, no matter how long she stared at them.
Harry felt a mad laugh of despair bubble up in her throat, but she forced it down. How was this her life?
In that moment, the doors opened.
Fuck. No time to hide it. No time to fake it.
Voldemort, carrying a tray with toast and strawberry jam, entered the room.
His eyes settled on the stick.
“What does it —”
Before he could finish, Harry launched the damned fucking stick at him — he could read it for himself, the damned bastard — and rushed to the bathroom, locking the doors.

And Essek was crying over Molly even *before* the body was resurrected. "It's just not fair" etc
yeSS that moment is just!! so good! And says so much about his character arc--
I've said this before, but what really gets me is that you can pinpoint the exact moment when Essek's heart starts to ache for Molly. The moment Essek "gets up in a huff"? When he storms off because he just can't fight back the tears any longer? It's right after he sees Caleb say his heartbroken goodbye to Mollymauk--finally returns that forehead kiss.
It's seeing that all too familiar sign of Caleb's love that makes Essek really feel for Mollymauk, makes him break down and shed tears for this person he's never even met. But he knew that Caleb loved him--that all of the Mighty Nein did--and just that was enough.
Before the resurrection ritual began, Essek isn't just skeptical. He's scared. "Are you sure this is even wise to attempt?" The rest of them are alive, and he just can't comprehend why Caleb would dare risk that for someone bound to Lucien's fate. And yet, after seeing the Nein express their love for this stranger again and again, seeing Caleb look actually defeated for the very first time? It shakes something in him.
There's something to Essek asking, "Caleb Widogast, have you ever accepted defeat?" The way Caleb admits so hopelessly, "Maybe today. For the first time." That makes me wonder if...Essek didn't briefly consider alternative ways to bring Mollymauk back. For a moment, I wonder if his thoughts even flitted back to that time travel circle in Aeor. I think losing Mollymauk for good would have made that possibility all the more tempting for Caleb.
Essek insisting it's just not fair? Looking at Caleb and asking him if he was truly giving up--if that's something he's even capable of? It just...makes me wonder. If the Divine Intervention never saved Tealeaf, if Essek had to just watch Caleb mourn and grieve and admit defeat? I think he was really considering for a moment if there were other means of reaching Molly's soul. If there was still some way to reunite Caleb and the rest of the Nein with this person they so dearly loved.
Also, if I recall correctly--when the Nein were working out the logistics of some teleportation spells in the reunion, Kingsley kept suggesting they give Essek a call. It would be just so fun to see them interact is what I'm saying--
#ess refusing to accept that molly is gone for good. that this can possibly be the end because it's just so unfair...#caleb ready to accept defeat for the very first time because losing molly again just broke his heart that much--#ess reminding him that he was never one to give up--#the way seeing molly finally open his eyes again after everything just overcomes caleb with so much joy and love as he watches#the others 'descend on molly' and rush to embrace them--#the shadowidomaukery of it all

🔥 about each member of the mighty nein (instead of sending you a million separate asks lol)
Fjord - this is actually the only character from all of Critical Role where if someone does not like that character I am immediately done with anything they have to say. Ashton and Vex are my favorites from C3 and C1 respectively but I get not being particularly into what they're doing even if I disagree, but like, if you don't like Fjord you either have no understanding of the idea of characters being defined by their settings and narratives and vice versa and therefore you have no media analysis statements worth hearing; or you made a snap judgement based on like 20 minutes of campaign 2.
Beau - I wish the circlet had gone to Veth; I liked Beau's arc a lot but she started as one of my favorites and was later surpassed by a number of other characters and I think it was in part because I liked her getting things the hard way and also doing more with the Cobalt Soul and Dairon than she ultimately ended up doing.
Caleb - I think I kind of covered it with my post about his trauma recently, namely, I think he's a fantastic character and Liam did a great job and also whenever someone acts like Caleb is objectively correct at all times or should have murdered everyone in the assembly it's a MASSIVE red flag.
Veth - weirdly unpopular in this fandom but I like her more as a halfling. Also, I actually think arcane trickster was a phenomenal fit for Sam mechanically even though he wants more spells and would love to see him do another 1/3rd or half caster.
Jester - I feel I've covered my main one repeatedly (people LOVED to talk about her agency and the second she kissed the wrong person she was suddenly a stupid baby girl who didn't know what was good for her) so I think my other one is that as with all of Laura's characters she is much more fun, especially early on, if you lean into the fact that she does say a lot of shit that makes people really uncomfortable or annoyed instead of trying to turn this into a SHE LOVES SO HARD AND NO ONE LISTENS because both can be true, your love can come out in ways that people are very annoyed by, this is how cats feel all the time actually, and so much of Jester's arc is figuring out how to share this love in a way that other people can appreciate without losing her own personality in the process.
Caduceus - I've also covered this a zillion times but I will say it again, Caduceus deflected so many attempts to check in with him and he does not want to like, fix Molaesmyr, he was not neglected, he was built out to be a character who was more of a low-key support guy and Taliesin did an incredible job with that.
Molly - honestly my unpopular opinion remains that I simply found him very well built and a great concept and also irritating as hell, and the Nein's response to him was valid but the fandom's post-death lionization was very tiresome. I'm genuinely not sure the party could have bonded the way they ultimately did if someone who was throwing around "enthrall" like that were still around.
Kingsley - now, while I don't mind if you dislike Kingsley, acting like Kingsley and Molly are the same character is actually equal to the not liking Fjord thing; that's an instant "this person's interpretations of media are so bad I am blocking so as to not accidentally see anything they have to say."
Yasha - I'm not sure I have any unpopular opinions? I do think she is at times underappreciated but I also think specifically she is, like Caleb, a victim of the terrible and weirdly common fandom idea that the only way to move on from abuse and horror is by killing everyone and everything that hurt you rather than rejecting violence and finding your own path and your own meaning.
Essek - sticking specifically to his role in the Nein, again, I love Essek and he is a member of the party and also he is an NPC and acting deeply offended that he doesn't get the same treatment in terms of comic books or merch or appearances in one-shots is very childish.

Thoughts on Weak Hero's Ending
Weak Hero ended a few weeks ago, and I took some time to process the ending after I read it. Overall, I think it was a great ending to such a wonderfully written series.
I like how things were mostly wrapped up, but left as an open ending. I appreciate how the Union, although mostly defunct, is being kept somewhat alive by Kingsley, who can't accept that Donald is truly gone and that the Union is over. I might write a more detailed Kingsley analysis, but it's interesting how Kingsley, as Donald's right hand man, never fully understood Donald. He placed him on a pedestal and deified him. He did care about him, the most out of everyone, but it is still sad how he got so caught up in making Donald king that he failed to recognise how Donald's rapid ascension and ceaseless violence was a cry for help.
Jake being the one to recognise Donald's true feelings is rather apt. I haven't thought much about his character (as is not fully analysed) but I think he's much more complex than he lets on. He's in a similar situation to both Ben and Donald I think, that being both Ben and Jake are the leaders of their schools, they just want to hang out with their friends and have fun, both shoulder the burden of being the strongest of their schools alone... It's just that Jake has a darkness within him that led him to join the Union. He has an inner bloodlust, one that he recognises in Gray. Jake is very perceptive of others emotional state, so it's no wonder he could correctly guess how Donald was feeling, given that he's one of Donald's most reliable officers.
I'll have to update my Donald analysis soon, because of the revelation that Donald willingly put himself in danger, running in the road screaming for Gray to fight him again. I think on one hand, Donald wanted that connection he felt with Gray again, as well as desiring gray to defeat him. But also I think he felt like death was the only escape left, hence the panel where he had a resigned and accepting expression as the truck neared him. As if he was waiting for his end.
I'm sure the Union will dissolve soon despite Kingsley's efforts. Wolf and Jake have left, and maybe Forrest and Jimmy too. I also like how Jimmy's character arc closed off, with him admitting that all he wanted was to be acknowledged by Donald.
Now then, let's go over to the Eunjang kids!
Although they lost the fight, they won the war. Losing meant they didn't have to bear the burden of being the strongest. Though they may face some fights in the future due to the resulting power gap left in Donald's wake. But that's a story for another time.
Eugene woke up and is happy and well! I really love how despite Eugene thinking he didn't contribute much to the fight, all his friends comforted him and reassured him of his major role thanks to his light controlling device! Yay Eugene appreciation!
Unfortunately Gray was deeply affected by Donald's death and entered a spiral of self guilt... the scene with his reflection mocking him hurt to read. Thankfully his friends were by his side to ground him. Gray really does have a kind heart after all.
Finally, Stephen and Gray meet again! I like the reintroduction of Jeremy, and that he remains a good friend of Gray by telling him Stephen is okay! His reactions to Gray being the White Mamba was so funny to read. I can't express how happy I was to see that not only was Stephen still alive, also that he's all better and working part time at a cafe! Gray's monologue at the end was so touching, and im glad he was able to greet his most treasured friend with a big smile.
I really wanted a Stephen and gray epilogue where they interact, but I do like the happy open ending. I think Stephen would be so happy for Gray and he'd fit right in with the eunjang kids! I guess that's what fan fiction is for lol. (sorry for the lack of weaktober writing... ill try to write something.)
I kinda wish some side characters had more cameos, like Toby, Lily and Julia, but their arcs were wrapped up relatively well too.
That sums up my overall thoughts on Weak Hero's conclusion!
Thank you to Seopass and Razen for creating a wonderful story!

The King of Asgard (Loki x fem! Reader Oneshot)
Synopsis: As the wife of Prince Loki of Asgard, you suddenly discover that Odin and Thor are gone. You are made queen and your dear husband is king. But a king needs an heir...
Word Count: 5K
Warnings: SMUT Y'ALL!!! 18+ Breeding Kink and Vanilla P in V sex and dirty talk. Some angst in the beginning but lots of hurt/comfort regarding his discovery about being a Frost Giant. Some married fluff. I use the canon events in Thor 1 but stretch out the timeline because it's my fic and I can do what I want. References to fairy tales because I'm a slut for literary references.
A03//My Ko-Fi//My Etsy Shop//Masterlist//Wattpad
A/N: Since seeing Thor 1 in its completion this has been in my head. I don't usually write for the big man Loki himself too often- but it's a treat to do so! Maybe I will do more of this stuff if I get more ideas! REBLOGS, COMMENTS, DMS, AND ASKS ABOUT MY WORK ARE ALWAYS APPRECIATED! Also, I don't know if Frigga is also Freya the goddess of love and sex in this universe when I wrote this but her character is clearly more FRIGGA than Freya...so yeah...mea culpa
Taglist: @evelyn-kingsley @jennyggggrrr @five-miles-over @fictive-sl0th @ladycamillewrites @villainousshakespeare @holdmytesseract @eleniblue @twhxhck @lokisgoodgirl @lovelysizzlingbluebird @raqnarokr @holymultiplefandomsbatman @michelleleewise @wolfsmom1 @infinitystoner @littlespaceyelf @superficialdomina (since all the way back you asked to be tagged! Ta da! Here it is!!)
You had many regrets in your life. But marrying Prince Loki was not one of them. When he asked you, you threw your arms around him and kissed him repeating one word- “Yes!”
You never regretted the day you wore a jeweled veil and walked down that aisle. You never regretted vowing before all the gods that you were his and he was yours. You never regretted becoming Princess of Asgard. Not if it meant the love of your life could become your husband.
Some whispered that your choice was unusual. That it was the wrong prince. That you should have married Thor. After all, it seemed obvious he was going to be the heir. But things did not happen in your heart the way they did. Thor was jovial and friendly to you. But before your betrothal, he liked you as a sister. No more, no less. Even if Odin commanded it, Thor would object to the match. If Thor learned to reign in his arrogance someday, you thought, he would make a fine lover to some lucky person!
Other than being the most beautiful man you had ever beheld, Loki was intelligent. Full of elegance as well as guile. Well-read, polite, patient, and charming, but could hold his own in any battle. It seemed you were one of the few people who recognized that. That was one of many reasons why he loved you.
You both attended feasts side by side. He would flirt with you even though you were still about a year into marriage.
“Why, it is too bad that such loveliness is sitting by herself tonight! May I have the seat next to her?” Loki would croon as he sat in the chair next to you.
You danced every dance together at balls. You especially loved spending free hours exploring the Asgardian library together. Reading works from all Nine Realms. Sometimes until you both fell asleep by the fireplace. Not to mention his finesse in the bedroom.
Loki confessed of his wedding day nerves to you in private. He feared…displeasing you on your wedding night. But your mutual passion and reverence for each other won over all else. Every time you coupled, you brought each other to Valhalla and back again. You learned about each other’s bodies like studying maps. Each minute of lovemaking was both exploration and worship of each other.
Lately, the two of you were careful. You had your own special tea to drink before or after it happened. At most, he would spill his seed somewhere that wasn’t between your legs. You knew so much was happening. Becoming a parent would put more stress on both of you. Especially considering Odin was about to name his heir.
Though you both did hope someday to have a child. You knew Loki would be a wonderful father and you wanted to be a mother. You wanted a family. You wanted to have a sweet baby (or two) of your own to cuddle and kiss. To hear it laugh when you tickled it. To welcome their first steps with open arms. To watch it grow. To leave your own mark- a person who was both Loki and you.
Now wasn’t the right time, both of you knew it. When you would sigh about it, he would hug you.
“We will wait, my love…time is our friend…” he’d assure you.
There were worse things in life. And you might as well enjoy what you had now before it was too late. You were lucky to have him. Many couples lived happy, long lives together without children. You were fortunate to have a man who you could confide anything to. And he in turn confided all his worries to you.
The ceremony arrived. And it was not Loki who was named heir as he hoped. It was Thor.
As you stood next to Loki, you felt him stiffen. Thor smiled and held up Mjonir as the kingdom cheered for him. Looking at your husband, you took his hand. You heard him take in a deep sigh through his nose.
“I know you wanted it…I’m so sorry…” you whispered to him, rubbing a thumb over his palm.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
One evening when you walked about the garden. The sun was setting and while there was some light, you wanted to admire the roses Frigga grew. Dressed in your golden dress, you knelt to sniff a few red ones. Admiring her work and the peace of the place. You jumped when a guard ran over to you.
“The Prince Loki requests your presence immediately in the castle vaults,” he reported.
Picking up your skirts, you hurried there.
“Loki, where are you? Are you hurt?” you asked as you entered.
He was standing on the steps before the Tesseract’s section. He looked up at the sound of your voice. There were tears in his eyes.
“I…I just spoke with father…” he said.
“What did he say this time?” you asked.
He took a step towards you. More tears fell down his cheeks.
“Y/N…I am so sorry. I shouldn’t have married you, shouldn’t have made you my prisoner…” he said.
Pain curled up in your chest at the words. Their grip tightened your throat and your eyes watered as well as his.
“Prisoner!?! What are you talking about, Loki? You cannot believe every word Odin says! I will talk to him myself right away! How dare he say such cruel things to you! You do deserve me! You do!” you cried.
You reached over to grab his hands and he jerked them back.
“No Asgardian maiden deserves to be sold and made wife to a Frost Giant!” He blurted.
You paused.
“Frost Giant?” you repeated.
All your life you heard whispers of the land of the Frost Giants, or Jotenheim. And they were always violent tales of terror. The large, ice creatures were longtime enemies of your kingdom. It was typical for Thor to boast about how much he would slay if given the chance.
“Stay here…and watch…” Loki instructed.
He put his hand on the Tesseract. Upon contact, his skin turned blue and his eyes red. A frost giant if you ever saw one.
Your eyes widened and you gasped in response, a hand flew over your mouth. Shock made your body lock in place. But you did not turn your eyes from him.
“Oh, Loki!” you cried.
You did not flee. No, you would not. Instead, you ran up and embraced him. He felt cold to the touch. As his hands released the Tesseract you felt him warm up in your arms as his skin turned back to ivory. They curled around your back, and he buried himself in your touch. You felt him shaking. Despite your own surprise, you would not abandon him. Never.
“It’s alright…it’s alright, I’m right here…this is a lot, I know…” you consoled as he cried.
He explained to you that years ago, Odin found an abandoned Frost Giant baby in Jotenheim. He took in the infant to be raised as one of his own. But never telling that young prince the truth about his parentage. Not until an accidental discovery. In a recent battle a Frost Gant touched your husband’s arm, changing your prince’s skin to blue beneath his grip. And blue skin could not lie.
“Do you know what I am, Y/N? I am a monster! That’s who you are married to! A monster!” Loki mourned.
You glanced at the door, then back to him. An idea from a recent library read growing in your head.
“Are you familiar with Midgard Fairy Tales? The ones for children?” you asked.
“No,” he answered.
“You don’t?” you asked.
“Midgard never interested me before…”
Taking him by the hand, you led him back to the library. You found a collection of Midgard Fairy Tales left on your favorite chair. You brought it to him and opened it up, flipping the pages. You then pointed to one story. The first page was illustrated with a ship on the ocean, then a rose, and a grand castle.
“You should read this one right here. It was written years ago by a lady. It is a Midgard Fairy Story called La Belle et La Bete or Beauty and The Beast…” you explained.
Loki took the book. He then flipped the page to see a picture of the eponymous beast.
“I know enough of fairy tales. They’re all the same. There’s some giant or creature who’s always the villain. Kidnapping unwilling maidens and hoarding gold. That is until a prince skewers them. Then there’s great celebration over the killing,” he dismissed.
You placed a hand on the page before he could close it.
“You’re right about one thing. There is a beast in this one…” you continued.
“Oh, and he’s there to do those things so babes will grow up learning to hate me,” Loki complained.
“No! Not in this one he’s not!” you objected.
You turned the page. It showed the Beast smiling with a lady in a rose garden.
“Yes, he is a beast. But do you know what he also is? He is the prince in the story! He might look frightening to some, but beneath it, he is kind and generous! He falls in love and marries a woman who sees that in the end! She doesn’t focus on what makes him monstrous and different- she accepts who he is!”
You set the book down and cupped his face.
“Because she loves him!”
His jaw dropped, speaking nothing. He leaned into your hand.
“A Frost Giant? Yes. I will learn to adjust to the blue skin…but you are my husband. I could not ask for a better one. And I love you. No matter what…” you said.
He embraced you again and you both cried. Tears of happiness and of sorrow. Blue skin or white. Yellow eyes or blue ones. He was Loki. He was your husband, and you would always stay with him. Besides, it’s what he would have done for you.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
When you went to bed that night, you expected tomorrow to be a day like any other. But instead, you were shaken out of sleep.
“Loki, what is it? It’s too early…” you murmured, half-awake.
You felt your bedside but did not feel the lump of his body.
Wakefulness creeping on you, you saw the guards and a few servants in your bedchambers. You jumped to sit up. You held onto the blankets, your knuckles popping in your grip.
“Where is my husband? Is he alright? What’s going on?” you questioned.
Their eyes were all wide. One servant stepped forward and spoke with gravity.
“The prince Thor is banished. And Odin has fallen into his Odinsleep. Loki is now King of Asgard. And you are it’s Queen.”
It was only four sentences. But it felt like something from a dream. You jolted out of bed to stand. You barely opened your mouth to respond when the servant knelt before you. He took your hand and kissed it in reverence.
“Your highness! Queen of Asgard!” he announced.
All bowed before you in your room.
You expected many things when you married the god of mischief. Just not this! It felt like one of those Midgard Fairytales happening to you.
When you dressed and hurried to your husband in the throne room. You forgot your new role and froze your steps. He sat on a throne, legs deliciously apart. He took up space now. The throne was entirely his and he was going to use every inch of it. He was decked in the robe of a ruler, not a prince destined to wait in the wings all his life. He had power in him, and you had to confess the aura of it was…. doing something for you. Your legs were buckling beneath your dress. There was that infamous, mischievous smile on him. It made you shiver. Already morning and desire swirled inside you. When his head turned to see you, he lit up. He got up from his throne and walked down. Per habit, you curtsied low. Then, placing a finger beneath your chin, he led you to standing. Your sex beneath your legs clenched at the gesture.
He then grabbed you and lifted you up in a hug where your feet didn’t touch the ground.
“Y/N…darling!” he greeted.
He put you down and placed a kiss on your lips.
“But…are you ready to rule? It won’t be easy…” you worried.
“It will not. But at last, think of everything I could do…lead armies…unite kingdoms…”
Even Jotenheim and Asgard if he decreed it so, you noted. You then smiled at him. He was glowing from pride and joy. He took your hand and kissed it.
“If we’re together through this…we can handle it…” he said.
They placed you to stand by his side on the throne.
Frigga entered. She bowed to you. Your own knees bucked a little out of habit. Usually you were the one bowing to her! You walked down to her, taking her shoulders.
“Queen mother…I…I’m speechless! …I don’t know how I could ever be a queen as well as you!” you confessed to her.
She kissed your cheek and gave you a patient smile.
“Don’t worry, I will help you. Day by day, step by step, you will learn how.”
“Thank you…what do I do now?”
“You will be crowned this afternoon. The kingdom will be watching. Look at them, your people. And show them you care…” she advised.
The hour arrived for them all. Swarms of people broke in like a flood to the throne room. You felt every eye as a golden crown was placed on your head and as his familiar helmet was placed on Loki.
Remembering Frigga’s advice, you looked down on them. You allowed a smile to grow on you. You smiled as you heard your name being chanted along with your husband's name.
They cheered and bowed to you. Flags were waved and confetti fell like snow across the palace. Loki got took your hand and lifted it up before them. They began to cry out.
“Hail the King Loki! Hail the Queen Y/N!”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
When the sun began to set, a familiar servant ran up to you.
“The King sends his regrets that duties require his immediate attention. He asked for the cooks to go ahead and serve you dinner in his absence,” she announced.
“Thank you,” you replied. An attempt at a regal tone of voice new to you.
The servant bowed and left. She didn’t do that as reverently when you were a mere princess. You ate your dinner alone and then took a rosewater bath right after. You noticed several stray petals floating around in the tub.
Once you finished, you returned to your chambers. It seemed they would stay the same for now. The King’s room was for the Odinsleep. Drying yourself you picked a nightgown. Tonight, it was a white one with a silvery tone to it. It had long sleeves that draped down and had beautiful beading around the bodice. The neckline dipped down to the clasp that secured it. Some might consider it immodest, but it was too beautiful for your resistance. It gave you some very sensual cleavage that you loved (and so would your husband). The skirt then dipped down to the floor, making it feel like a robe, but the material was not so thick that it felt too hot.
If you dressed more like a queen, even at night, you would feel more apt to the role.
What a day it had been. Part of your body ached after such excitement. You sat by your vanity on a cushion. Flowers (including the roses you liked) from the gardens in vases bedecked it. By the candlelight you checked your hair. Sighing in, you relaxed on the seat, admiring the glimpse of the kingdom at night from your curtains. Enjoying a moment of peace.
You then heard his voice outside the door.
“I am now going to bed. Do not disturb us unless there is an emergency,” Loki ordered the servants and guards. Already he was speaking more like a king.
The doors creaked as he opened it and walked inside. Though he was in his own green bedrobes, there was a bounce and urgency to his step. Then he approached you as you sat on the cushion before the vanity. Though his blue eyes did wander hungrily to your low neckline. They then returned up to your face in the mirror’s reflection.
“How is my pretty queen tonight?” he asked.
“I’m good…” you answered.
“Are you tired?” he asked with a tone of concern.
He placed a hand on your shoulder, fingers drumming in anticipation. Was there some old prank he was going to pull that he wanted you to see? What was he going to say?
“Only a little…I’m still taking it in…” you replied.
He embraced you from behind, nuzzling into your neck. You smiled at the contact of feeling his nose against your skin. He smiled as he looked at you in the mirror.
“You always were a queen to me, my dear….” He said.
He kissed your cheek and then lowered his lips to your neck. You smiled, enjoying the increasingly amorous gesture. You felt the tickle of his breath. His soft lips made another kiss in between your neck and clavicle. You melted into it.
“My, Freya has gotten someone enchanted…” you teased.
“It’s not Freya who enchants me…” he husked.
He then turned you around and led you to stand. And laid a desperate kiss on your lips. You wrapped your arms around him. He slid in his tongue. A hand of his crept to hold your back to him. You groaned into it. Already, arousal began its long, sinful climb with its wet signal between your legs. You released lips with a satisfying smack.
“If you continue this, I’ll ring for that tea…” you said.
“No…” he voiced.
“Hmm?”
He held your hands down.
“You won’t need that tea tonight. Or for a while…” he said.
You blinked.
“How come?”
He gave you a smile, looking in your eyes.
“I must tell you…the council has given me much advice. To secure myself as king, there are a few things I can do. Enact laws. Silence any rebellions or refusals. And, since I’m already married...”
He paused.
“Sire an heir.”
You felt your breath stop in your throat. Your eyes widened. His smile went down to a smirk. A glint in his eye as he went to you. His eyes roaming down your exposed chest. His hands wandered down, staring to hike a little of your skirt.
“So, you’re saying…” you stuttered.
“Y/N, I…I need you tonight…tonight…I’ll give you a child, an heir, someone to carry on my reign, and keep me as king…Would you like that?” he asked.
He leaned closer. Wanting to kiss you, then pausing. You could feel his breath just on your lips, making you dizzy. He placed his hips against yours. You felt a moan shudder out of you. Your answer was an easy one.
“Yes, yes I would.”
He swept you up in his arms, strong despite his lean frame. Your heart raced so hard you felt it would burst out of you. He laid you on the bed then crawled over you. You felt yourself trembling like it was the first time. He cupped your cheek and leaned over to kiss you.
“My queen, my darling…”
You wrapped your arms around him.
“And my Prince made King,” you said back.
Intuitively, he ground his hips on yours. A small shudder went through you, coming out as a sigh. You reached a hand to run it through his hair as he kissed you again. Combing through those dark curls you loved so much. Because they were a part of him. His crown that never left him. You gave him another, harder kiss. He then looked down at your robe. He slid a hand over the beading, over your chest.
“A lady beautiful as you could doesn’t need such …embellishments…” he growled.
He removed his hand to lift it in the air. He flicked it and a green light began at the tips of your toes and then worked its way up your legs and through your body. Your evening robes for sleeping vanished and instead was your skin. He wetted his lips at the sight of your nakedness.
“I’ve longed to see this, to touch you for hours…”
He went up to your bare breasts. You gulped as he began to kiss it. Your back arched on impulse, tensing already. As he worked his way to the center, you felt yourself tensing already. Smiling at the pleasure as he used his tongue, swirling your nipple. Chills ran over you. He released his mouth to whisper.
“I’ve missed your breasts. The shape. The softness. Feeling you…”
He replaced it with his large hand. He gently squeezed and groped both around. You exhaled out another sound coming out of you. Not a polite one.
“Perfection-perfect for my hands. And perfect to nurse my heir…”
He then lowered himself down, kissing your stomach. Tracing your hips. He then kissed your bellybutton, dipping his tongue into the hole of it. Only a symbol of what was next. A delicious forewarning. Preparation. You grew wetter with the feeling of something soft and wet inside a hole of yours.
“Loki…Loki, my dear…husband…” you whimpered.
He held your hips down, tracing it and feeling them again. How they curved up to where they made your waist. His fingers sprawled possessively over your flesh. Then back down to your hips. Looking down, there was a bulge getting bigger against his green robe.
“And these…perfect. Perfect for what I put between them. For my mouth, my fingers, my cock, and my child…”
He pulled his head up, then you put your finger to his lips. Giggling lightly, as did he.
“You talk so much. But you’ve yet to bare yourself too, my love,” you teased.
With a cocky half-smile, all he did was tilt his head. The seidr ran down from the forehead to the toes, and the smooth robe was replaced with his warm skin. He was so beautiful. Every time he took off his clothes, it was everything in you not to stare. He had a broad, ivory chest so large and enveloping. It was like a blanket when you rested your head on them or when he thrust on top of you. You put a hand to explore the crevices, going through the patch of hairs on him. His muscular shoulders, perfect for digging your nails in. His abdominals-both soft and strong. For he was both at the center of his heart as well. Thighs made thick from running, jumping, and everything a warrior did.
He ground against you. His cock, already hard, teased your stomach. He leaned up to kiss your neck in its small soft spot. A hand returning to your breast.
“You will look wonderful engorged with a babe…a child…a part of you that will always be there, a trace of us together.”
“Loki…my dear husband…I love you…” you voiced.
He smiled, inching close.
“And I love you when you’re screaming beneath me…”
With one long, beautiful hand, he took the outside of your legs. He traced his fingers down from thigh to knee. Ghosting against the upper flesh of your skin. As tenderly as if you were the brightest, most precious jewel kept in his treasury. In seas of coins, rubies, and diamonds…it was you, you out of everything else, that mattered to him.
He took his large, beautiful hands and then moved them to the inside of your knees. You bit back a moan, leaning your head into the pillow as you felt it.
Using both his hands, he then spread you apart, wide open. He looked down at you and grinned. He had seen, felt, penetrated, and tasted your pussy like an addict. Always hungry for more. Even if you were poison, he would consider it the sweetest way to die. He placed himself back up. The tip just teasing your entrance. Every nerve inside you screamed. It brushed against you, never plunging in.
“You’re a banquet all for me, my dear…now…are you ready?” he whispered.
“Oh, please…. stop tormenting me… I want a child…and I want you…give me…give me one, Loki…” you begged.
“Let me…let me feel your sweet warmth and take your king’s shaft…” Loki husked.
He plunged into you slowly. Part of you panted through your nose. You felt him climb inside, inch by agonizing inch. This was a ceremony, sacred as any other rite in a royal bedroom. As if everything had to be right. Yet there was beauty-there was divinity. An ecstasy of reaching something otherworldly in between each other’s legs. You let out a loud gasp when he placed all of you inside him. You grabbed onto him.
He then retracted his hips, and he began to thrust into you. Grinding you right into the bed. Writhing as you accepted his largeness like it was new. Each gasp from his breath, each pant from each thrust. You could feel one muscular arm of your husbands touched the headboard, keeping him steady against you. You felt your back and ass slide against the silk sheets. He was slow, but eager.
“Yes…I promised you… when we married…I’d give you-nrgh-I’d give-give you everything-fuck-everything you’d ever want-gods…yes, gods, yes!” he whimpered as he thrusted.
You let out a moan with each thrust, your own breasts bouncing slowly with the movement. He looked down, releasing the hand on the headboard to slap them.
You let out a gasp- “L-Loki-you-you-you beast!”
“I thought you figured that out already, darling…” he whispered with a chuckle.
You felt his other hand wander to touch your back. You writhed under him. He then slid his hand under his hips guide you up. His strength held you steady. He hit a different angle and you let out a cry-it was deeper, and his cock had found it’s way to your bud. Already sensitive and shaking.
“L-Loki! There! Please! There!” you begged as he kept thrusting.
“As my queen commands…”
You saw the veins in his neck tightening as he kept on. His black curls messed around him- wild and free. A creature claiming his prize for the night. How beautiful he looked. You returned a hand back up and pulled him down. You kissed him with such fervor as he thrust that he stayed for only a second inside you, pausing, catching a breath. What breath there was, anyway.
Then he picked up the pace slightly. You were starting to see stars. That sweet angle where he got your clit. You felt pleasure rise in you. Yes, it was arriving. You moved your hands down from his shoulders, down his triangular back. Once you found his soft, perfect ass you pushed him in again.
“Loki I’m…I’m…I’m close…oh norns- I’m…I’m going to cum!” you pleaded.
“So…am I-nrg-Call me king, call me king again and…and…I’ll-I’ll drive you there with me …”
He lowered his voice. Guttural and demanding.
“Call- me- your- king.”
He even got his free hand inside, speeding you up as he too sped up. You felt it-the breaking point.
“Yes-please-my- my king! My king!” you cried.
He let out a shout and you felt his hot seed spurt inside you. Your own climax then broke upon you. Thw words repeated out of you in a whisper.
“My king…my…my…”
It was the climax where it spun inside you. You felt your whole-body lock. Your quim felt as if it was spinning, sputtering with the pleasure. As well as his seed. You groaned as it washed you down and you felt it. Your eyes teared up. His stayed inside, spurting like mad. Free and plentiful after starvation. A broken dam. He stayed inside. Not wasting one drip of him. You accepted it, every bit of it. Not one drop would go to waste. You felt your body buzz. Vibrating on the inside though you were still. Still except for your own breasts heaving with the breath you caught. You felt him catch his breath on top of you too.
He then cupped your cheek. His curls fell before his face. But his smile and blue eyes glowing from them.
“I couldn’t have asked for better. A better broodmare. A better wife. A better queen by my side…” he said.
Playfully, you went up and kissed the tip of his nose. He grinned at it and then embraced you. Arms flinging around each other. His own sweaty, earthy scent mixed with the rosewater bath you had earlier.
His cock still twitched inside you. Then you felt a final hot release of him and there was no more. He pulled out. Once it left you, you felt a cold space in your quim. Like it was an empty niche, something that needed filling. So much was he a part of you. You reached up your hand to brush his curls back. Seeing his face. Seeing him.
He then went down to your stomach, kissing it.
“I think if it’s a boy…we should call him Tuck…and if it’s a girl...Idona…” you then told him.
He rolled over to lay his head on the pillow. Then he turned over. You hummed at the sight of him- oh Hela, his beautiful profile was art itself!
“And what if we have twins?” he asked.
“I’ll figure it out, later!” you replied with a small laugh.
You placed your head on his chest and looked up and he down.
“I hope you’ve forgiven me for missing dinner…we’ll eat together tomorrow night; I’ll make it up to you…” he said.
“Of course, I forgive you. You had duties of your own…” you whispered.
He then gave a smile with the familiar, delicious darkness in his eyes.
“It might take more than once. We will try for an heir no matter how many times it takes. I’d like to have you on that very table like a meal of my own to devour. And I’ll have you on the library walls. On each rug. On each column. So, rest well…you have several duties of your own tomorrow.”
