Of all the egregious mischaracterizations in the live action ATLA series, the worst and most offensive one that no one has mentioned is how dirty they did Hakoda. Over my dead body would Hakoda say anything about Sokka not being a proper warrior. Like hell would he talk shit about his son behind his back while pretending to be proud of him to his face. At first I thought the vision Sokka was having wasn't real (since in the cartoon, he never had his boat trial and did it later in the Bato episode), but he confirmed it was a memory when talking to Yue later. How dare they disparage our water tribe dad like this.

Seeing the tags in the iskall tubbo post are incredible, i think anyone who just learned about iskall proclaiming himself as tubbo's dad would go ham if you learned that captain sparklez is also often considered his other father and that's why people like to hc tubbo as a dragon hybrid.

I really do like that The Magnus Archives never explicitly confirms whether killing Elias would have killed the rest of the institute. It leaves the question open so that we can agonize over the "what-ifs," and be forced to sit with the fact that it doesn't matter because we'll never know

All I vaguely remember is Mew being like beaten for no reason and apparently you were supposed to feel sorry for it but the fuckin thing was so weirdly creepy too

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lore reason mirage mew was being beat up and the lore reason was, "resembled my sleep paralysis demon"

Edit: not as creepy as I remember it being, still looks odd but I dunno if that's an intentional design choice by the movie creators because mirage

i think i’ve said this before but people act like the whole bullying the studio into changing movie sonic’s design happened solely cause sonic fans hated it but from what i remember EVERYONE was making fun of it like i was liking memes about it and i wasn’t even into sonic at the time

i have to wonder if it’s actually a feasible ploy to have kristen die for even a second, cause on the one hand it seems like it makes a lot of sense, on the other a lot of this world works on the 60 second rule to account for the widespread availability of shit like revivify doesn’t it? like, adaine’s status as the elven oracle will transfer upon her death, and adventuring parties will move to pass/fail (iirc?) if a member dies, but only once the minute-long grace period is up. i mean, the ploy could always be to just keep her down for at least a full minute, that wouldn’t be too hard if they get tpk’d. like “oopsies! i just happened to arbitrarily decide to revivify kristen last, but it turns out i only brought 5 diamonds with me, so let me go fetch my stuff and i’ll do raise dead instead ^_^”

someone commented on an old post of mine that sonia wasnt fridged bc shes relevant to the plot and i have been thinking about it for an hour bc i dont think thats an actual get out of jail card for that .... also ... what does she do? be raurus way to cement himself as da king? give some half assed advice to zelda, that has no pay off unless you count zelda time reversing a bunch of weapons*, and then immediately dies just so zelda can essentially replace her and make rauru regret he didnt stab ganondorf right when he showed up in their temple i guess ?? (which is questionable on its own imo)

(*its not a good pay off for powers she was suddendly revealed to always have had(tm) and also is only ever used to .... welll, get zelda out of the way back in time, reverse a few weapons and .. idk create a ham fisted way to give the player her gimmick?)

even if she doesnt technically meet the requirements(lol?) to be called fridged like .. she is spiritually at least for how irrelevant and cheapely killed off she was

also its so dumb that one of the arguments ppl have against a sims 5 is that theyve already invested too much money into 4. like yes its fucking scummy that ea charges so much for dlc and its Ludicrous the amt sims 4 costs if you have all the dlc and its going to keep getting more and more expensive but . to be honest . why are you paying for sims packs. im sry
