Star Wars needs more silliness... because the jokes are good enough.
youtube
Once again, if you don't know, I'm what Lily would refer to as a Star Wars weeb. I live breath and shit Star Wars. You got it good. Let's dig in.
Not even a minute in before Lily starts complaining about how Star Wars is diving deeper into the lore of how the galaxy works. Even though she says she likes Star Wars, I never understood people who say they like something but don't want to know more about said thing.
She brings up that all the characters in the new Star Wars are basically the same character from older movies, which is kinda true, but that's also taking away the characters' motivation and story line she's uses Rey as an example saying "what if Anakin was a girl and a big dork." Which is kinda cute but completely ignores the fact that Rey and Anakin are nothing alike.
Now, I do agree with how Rey is a pretty refreshing character (and her video was made before TROS), but she's not as refreshing as she thinks Rey is. She even hit us with the "she's not like other girls," saying, "There is no mystery behind her origins. She wasn't linked to any characters of the past movie/books. She's just a force sensitive person who happened to get caught up in the war by circumstances." But then goes onto saying that no one liked that and that everyone wanted another, Luke. I am your father (which she called stupid)
She goes on a tangent about her complaints about TROS, which is valid. The last Star Wars movie was a big disappointment to anyone who liked the sequel. (I didn't like the sequels because I thought Finn would have made a better main character and the idea of a fascist soldier who was born into the army, learning that he was on the wrong side and worked to make up for his sins more interesting, also for what they did to Luke, Leia, Han, and everyone else from the original.)
After that, she brings up that everyone called Rey a Mary Sue, which is also dumb. She brings up the fact that Rey's force sensitive and uses Luke, Anakin, and Revan as examples of being overpowered, saying Luke had perfect had and Anakin had the reflexes of a god (idk much about Revahn so I'm skipping him) then mocks the people who cried over Rey not having any lightsaber training. But Luke and Anakin already had training in their own way. In the novelization of a new hope and even in the movie, it's stated that Luke would use wamp rats for target practice. Anakin was a slave who was bullied and probably beaten a lot, so he had to train himself to react faster. Anyone who's even been in a situation where you can't fight back will know that dodging and getting fast reflexes will help make sure you don't get hurt. Now, she uses her examples to explain that Rey would be able to beat Kylo in a fight because he's just a wimp. The nephew of Luke, who has been trained in the ways of the force since he was a child, is labeled as wimp. Technically speaking by Lily’s own logic, Kylo would have killed Rey in their first fight.
Okay, for those of you who care, I kinda write the blog post while watching the video, so I'm not even halfway done with this bullshit and I've already written 5 paragraphs of her video and she has yet to bring up why star wars needs more silliness... on to 6.
She then states that despite all her complaints about the movies (because she doesn't want to sound like a naiz), she really loves Rey and how... (this pissed me the fuck off) it brought life into Luke, Han, and Leia saying they were dull as crap. BITCH! I fucking love the original gang (they were my bi awakening) and when I heard they were bringing back the characters for the sequels I was very hesitant and I was right to be. The sequels did the gang so dirty, making Luke (the one who wanted to save his father, the man that chopped off his hand and killed millions of people and Jedi because he still had faith that his father was in there.) A mad man who tried to kill nephew because he had a scary dream of going to the dark side. They made Han (a badass who is a loving father and husband) a fucking deadbeat who lives in his van with his best friend. And they didn’t do shit for Leia she's not her sassy self or anything. She's just there for fan service.
She gets to her main problem with Star Wars saying, "They just rehash the same plot but with different seasoning. They all follow the exact same story: plucky underdog, every man rebels fighting against the evil empire." But the thing is that while sure Star Wars is just the same story over and over, it's the characters that I think is what makes it feel like it's something new. Seeing how different characters react to certain things. Luke wanted to be more than a farmer with fate, helping him become one of the strongest Jedi. Ezra only focused on keeping himself alive and not caring about anyone else to then becoming a strong leader with willing to risk his life for others. You aren't watching the same story with the copy and paste characters. You are seeing characters in the same situation dealing with it differently.
At the end of the video, she talks about her shity Star Wars fanfic and how that's how she would have written the sequels, which now that I realize what she had in mind with writing it explains why it's so fucking boring. why in the only 3 chapters I had read, nothing had happened. Thank god no one with a brain would ever leave her in charge of anything.
And of course, she can't make a video without insulting people for having a different definition of fun than her. Lily, for most people in the Star Wars exploring the lore and wondering how the rebels got the death star plans is fun for them, and most of us want to branch out from the force users to see how people in the galaxy deal with the empire. You know world building something Lily isn't good at.
Okay, this video really hurt to watch, and I completely hated it, and she didn't even explain why Star Wars needs more silliness she's just complaining about Star Wars even though she claims to love it.

So I haven’t posted that much about it here, but I’m still going with my Kylo in BG3 playthrough and I want to talk about how it’s been going and his relationship with things cause it’s honestly really interesting? Like from a character pov, it’s just really fascinating some of the things he’s going through and the way he reacts to things
So as a reminder, the idea is that Faerun is just a place on a planet in the same galaxy as star wars (probably in the unknown regions or something, somewhere where the gith and the FO/etc. have just never encountered each other cause space is Big). And he somehow ended up there after TFA. So he’s a temporary visitor and his primary goal is to get home. As part of that, he wants the tadpole out right now immediately, as it’s suppressing his Force powers, just like it suppresses everyone else’s powers in-game. So that’s where we start
And I’m just kinda gonna ramble about his relationship with different concepts and the companions and whatnot (behind a cut for length)
So first off, it’s interesting for him to be in this world as we have gods and devils and other beings of great power. And Kylo is like. Largely unimpressed by all of them lmao. All of these beings are nothing compared to the Force, in his opinion. Plus he’s on a planet where they don’t even have electricity and he’s used to space travel. The magic is impressive, he’s interested in that, but he still considers it inferior to his own powers. Which makes for a very interesting play – a character who finds all of these powerful beings everyone’s beholden to utterly unimpressive and irrelevant. Also, things in this world don’t really matter to him in the long run, as he doesn’t plan on staying. Which brings us to…
Lae’zel– his relationship with Lae’zel is really interesting imo because they have a lot in common. It’s funny in the sense that both of them see the other as their local guide to the world, meanwhile neither of them actually know shit lmao. They’re both from space. So it’s really the blind leading the blind. But they have similar morals, having no qualms with threatening or killing to get what they want. They are both warriors who greatly value martial prowess and they kinda bond over that. If I didn’t personally see Kylo as gay, there absolutely would’ve been romance potential here, as these two get each other so well. Lae’zel’s inner conflict about Vlaakith is also kind of a shock to Kylo as… well, there’s a lot of parallels to Snoke there. I think he’s going to return from this journey ready to turn against his master, just as Lae’zel is. Vlaakith is unworthy to lead and she has much in common with Snoke. Lae’zel’s journey has made Kylo realize some things himself
Astarion he also gets along well with, as once again, they both are comfortable with murder. Also, Astarion was the only man at camp willing to fuck him without needing to get feelings involved first lmao. So of course, this is the romance that actually ended up happening (more on that later). Which is mildly annoying for me, as I’m also romancing Astarion with durge and would’ve liked to not have two the same so close together sdkslks but it is what it is. It would’ve been ooc to have Kylo end up with his other option. I’m also not sure what he’s going to do when it comes to Cazador. Cause on the one hand, I can’t see Kylo wanting someone else to get some great power he can’t, even an ally. But if a lover? That changes some things… I also think Kylo fully believes he can kill Ascended Astarion if need be so he could be down for it. Though, I could also see Kylo just killing one of the other spawns during the fight to ensure Cazador can’t complete the ritual, with no thoughts for what that means for Astarion. Also, again, I’d like to do something different on this run, even if not a different romance option, and ascending Astarion could be the dash of freshness I would like. Idk, we’ll see. It’s interesting, honestly. I have no idea where it’ll go. It is funny to imagine him bringing Astarion back to the Finalizer though lmao
Now, Kylo’s other romance choice somehow ended up being Gale lmao. I’m not even sure he really likes Gale, but he definitely liked the attention Gale gave him. But alas, Gale is a ‘feelings first, sex later’ kind of person and that’s not Kylo’s speed. Kylo’s also had just about enough of hearing the name ‘Mystra’ lmao, another god that he’s sure pales in comparison to the Force. I’m also not sure what’s going to happen with Gale’s ending here, as Kylo would not want him to seize the power of the crown (Kylo would rather have it himself, but I don’t think that’s an option). But Gale’s ending conditions are also so convoluted, it’s hard to know what you’re going to get even when you plan it. You basically need a guide to know for sure which you’re getting lmao. So. It’ll be interesting for sure
(Also, speaking of the crown, I have no idea if Kylo will take Raphael’s deal. Cause on the one hand, he’s not terribly threatened by Raphael. And if he can’t have the crown, well, he doesn’t really care what Raphael might do with it, as this world is just one of many and he’ll be leaving it. But I don’t think he likes owing someone something. So I’m really not sure how that’ll go yet. He could take the deal and then go get the contract perhaps, idk)
Minthara, Kylo also gets along with well, unsurprisingly lmao. She probably reminds him of a certain General sdksld. I think the only disagreement they really have is Minthara has embraced the tadpole, while Kylo still wants his out – without it, he has access to much greater power than it can give. He understands why she values it’s power, as it’s the most she’ll ever have access to, but he can have more (at least, in his opinion). So keeping it, ruling over this land – that’s small potatoes shit to him. The FO seeks to rule the entire galaxy. These petty matters are largely insignificant to him (and, tbh, this must be how Lae’zel feels about some of the power struggles in Faerun – the Gith have an empire in space, her main goal is to be cured so she can get back to that). Still, he respects her a lot, and if it were possible, I think he’d consider inviting her to be part of the FO
Karlach is a mixed bag, because he admires her rage and her ferocity, but he does consider her naïve, too nice, all of that. So like. They get along sometimes. In truth, we’ve gotten more Karlach approval than I expected, though still not a lot. Because I do think Kylo is the kind of person to give a fighting chance to those he’s killing, he likes it when they fight back, he wants to find a decent challenge (he just rarely does). And Karlach tends to approve of at least giving enemies a fighting chance, rather than just an execution. That’s… probably all they agree on though lmao. Oh and finding Mizora incredibly annoying
(This is where things start to get sad, btw sdlsllks)
As for Wyll, Kylo found him naïve too, but he liked him well enough. Respected his ability, he’s easy on the eyes, things like that. But, unfortunately, just far too naïve. I think it would’ve been interesting to like, have Kylo make him worse, but that’s not really a thing in the game as Wyll doesn’t have like, a really bad ending in that sense. He does, however, have a bad ending if you think you’ve found a loophole and kill Mizora in the mindflayer pod…
(This is a mistake I genuinely made on my first playthrough, but then immediately reloaded. I should’ve known it was too easy lmao. Kylo, though, Kylo would absolutely try that… so unfortunately, we lost Wyll 😭)
And the other companion we lost, a long time ago, was Shadowheart. They didn’t really get along from the start, with her being so secretive and Kylo being a fan of probing people’s minds on the reg. She also didn’t like Lae’zel, and he does, so. Unfortunately, it was just fated that she wouldn’t survive when she moved to kill Lae’zel in her sleep (also, kind of sensitive thing for Kylo, you know, considering that’s happened to him too)
It is actually too bad, though, cause his feelings on Shar are… complex. You would think, just at first glance, that he’d been down with her, given that she’s all about darkness and such. But her darkness is not the one he’s embraced. Her darkness is about absence, about loss, about emptiness… that is not what darkness is to Kylo. To Kylo, darkness is passion, it’s pain, too, but it’s also power. It is the light that is the absence, that is giving up such meaningful things like emotion and connection. So I think he would find Shar’s teachings have more in common with Jedi teachings than it would seem on the surface. The Jedi are peace through oblivion, light burning away all you are until you are merely a vessel for the Force and nothing more. Thus, Shar, who uses darkness in the same way, would seem like a perversion of darkness to him. In darkness, there is passion and freedom and strength. It is not oblivion. It is not loss. It is everything but what Shar teaches it is. As such, I think he really does not like Shar, but not because of the reasons that most in-game characters don’t
The other interesting part is how he feels about the dream guardian. So I made the dream guardian Ren, because I thought that would be interesting. Ren is the last teacher he had before Snoke and I think Kylo still has a lot of complicated feelings about Ren. Regrets, too. So if you-know-who really wanted to get Kylo’s attention, Ren is the best choice, no doubt
(I talked about this a little before, but I think only on twitter, so it’s a bit of a repeat if you’ve seen my other post on it)
But it ended up being really interesting because Kylo knows it’s not Ren. It doesn’t act like Ren or talk like Ren and, most important, Ren is dead by his own hand. It’s a trick of some kind. He knows that, he has no doubts
And yet. Even though he does not fully trust the guardian, he doesn’t… not trust them either. So far, they have been on his side. They clearly know him, considering the form they chose. And a part of him, I think, really regrets how things went down with Ren. It’s not a second chance, he knows that, but. It’s like imagining doing things right while you’re in the shower or late at night. It’s not real and it’s not going to fix anything. But you still want to try to create a world, however temporarily, where you didn’t make that mistake. And, when he entered the prism, that, combined with seeing Ren on his knees (the same position Tai was in, in his last moments), disarmed and allowing Kylo the chance to choose… Kylo can’t kill him. Even if it would cure him (though he has his doubts there too), Kylo can’t do it again. He knows it’s not Ren and that it never was and that surely some kind of terrible revelation will happen in time. But for now, Kylo wants to let himself imagine making at least that one choice differently
And then, later, he actually passed the checks to give the guardian a hug, which I didn’t know was a thing lmao. So of course he took that. And he’s still not sure what the guardian actually is and he knows he shouldn’t trust but he just. He cannot resist
I did save right at the end of act 2, so. He’s gonna find out the truth very soon here, whenever I play him next. And I think Kylo’s REALLY not going to like you-know-who lmao. He is really not a fan of being manipulated, especially as this journey has helped him realize just how bad it was with Snoke
There’s also Halsin and Jaheira, but he doesn’t know them super well yet. I figured we’d lose Halsin as Kylo would be like ‘well, good look waking up that kid or whatever’ but apparently you actually cannot refuse to help with the portal? Lmao you’re like ‘nice, looks like my work here is done’ and Halsin’s like ‘oh no, I definitely still need you. Brb, going into this portal. Also you’re gonna be attacked btw’ and just. Goes. So fortunately we got to keep him. Kylo would really like to sleep with him though so sdklskd. Maybe he did it for bear dick, who knows
Jaheira honestly probably shouldn’t have lived, given how aggressive she is during the first meeting – Kylo should’ve attacked, but I, the player, also wouldn’t have been able to survive that fight lmao. So I compromised by leaving her fate up to chance at moonrise and not adding her to my party (I usually do, to ensure she survives). But she lived! So we shall see. I don’t think he dislikes her as of yet but. No opinion for the moment
It’s also kinda funny that like. In truth, he’s done more things that are “good” than I honestly expected at first but it’s like. A lot of “good” things are still just ‘kill this guy and I’ll help you’ and Kylo is fine with killing lmao. And he wants the Absolute dead a) for what they did to him and b) to get the worm out of his head. But we also lost two companions so far, and a good number of random characters. So it’s been a very wild playthrough tbh. It’s very chaotic neutral but it is still by far the evilest run of a video game I’ve ever done sdksldks 😅
Which is why I’m taking a break before act 3 because woof lmao, this is hard for me to do, even though it has turned out to be really interesting both play-wise and in terms of character analysis/exploration. Anyway, I shall end this on the note of RIP to the fallen 😔
🪦 Us

I'm not the same person I was one fic ago
Edit: this is extremely long (like twice the length of your fic probably 💀) and unhinged and 75% incoherent but know I mean it all with love
FIRST OF ALL WHEN I STARTED READING THE FIRST LINES I WAS LIKE DAMN THIS IS GOOD then my eyes skimmed back into the a/n and I was like well fuck little to no dialogue 😔😔😔⚰️💀 my brain do be shutting off sometimes when I read little dialogue. Idk it be like that, that's why when I write I'm dialogue heavy (most of the time)
I DIGRESS MY POINT IS
IM NOT THE SAME PERSON I WAS ONE FIC AGO
This is a long ass reblog AND HONESTLY YEAH I DO THINK I HAVE TO APOLOGIZE FOR REQUOTING YOUR ENTIRE FUCKING FIC BACK TO YOU BECAUSE
DAMN
I haven't felt a rush like this in so long.WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE YOU KNOW?! WHY KILL YOURSELF WHEN YOU CAN READ DAEMON FANFICTION ON TUMBLR FOR FREE
✨✨✨✨✨Free real estate✨✨✨✨✨
ig a minute sorry for the shit spamming reblog but you must know I do this out of love because I'm an unemployed fresh grad with no spare change and this is the only way I could ever pay you. I'd give you my hair if you asked I'd go bald for you
Ok this is getting weird
Did I say I really like this already? Idk I'm too lazy to go back and check also if my words/sentences are incoherent 😬 thank you for dealing with it because I will not be going back to check if I spelled and typed everything correctly we die like women
OK WAIT I GOT DISTRACTED I MEANT TO PREFACE THIS BY SAYING I DONT LIKE LIGHT DIALOGUE ON FICS COS IDK SOMETIMES MY BRAIN IS LIKE ENOUGH BACKGROUND GIMME THE ACTION but that's not what happened at all THE CHEMICALS IN MY BRAIN ARE SO ALIVE AND HAPPY WOW NOW I KNOW WHY IVE BEEN SO SAD LATELY ITS BECAUSE I HAVEN'T BEEN READING FICS
Idk it felt daunting and scary to do so ??? And tiring and I almost didn't read this because of that IDK MY BRAIN WAS LIKE DONT DO IT IT WONT BE FUN JUST GO TO A TRIED AND TESTED SOURCE BUT DAMN YOU DA SOURCE MY DEAR I AM A DESERT AND YOU ARE MY OASIS
Maybeeeeeeeeee you're gonna be the one that saves meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhh
Ok that was a long enough preface, in coming my live (not so live) reaction
Being coached through your wedding vows is not a good omen for your marriage. At least, that is what your husband must think, by the thunderous look on his face. You fight the urge to scream at him that you have practiced for this moment and that you do not need to be coached through the vows. It would be no use. The two of you do not understand each other.
INSANE. AN INSANE OPENING.
Ok another sidenote, im on mobile and I can only add 10 pics 😔😔😔🤚 smh so I would add more mem reactions for you to vividly understand what and how I'm reacting but
🤚IN🤚SANE💅😩😖 literally just the first line, the first sentence.
WHAT SHE SAID WHATTTT 💥💥🎉🎉🤯🤯🤯🤯 THATS SOME BIG BRAIN LEVEL OPENINGS. SUCH A STRONG OPENING DAFAQ 😒 PACK IT UP EINSTEIN LEAVE SAME BRAIN CELLS FOR THE REST OF US. LIKE HUHHHHHH????????
JUST AGAIN THE OASIS TO MY DESERT UGH (you probably don't care but I used this analogy in one of my Kylo Ren fics and 😗☕👌 I ate that up tbh. I miss her. I miss her, who could write 11k shit fics of her favs 😔) IDK IDK JUST RANT I RANT A LOT IN MY FIC REBLOGS BECAUSE 💅💅💅💅 I HAVE NO FRIENDS LMAO AHHAAHHAHAHHA
🤬🤬🤬get used to it because you can't get rid of me.......... lol
Everything is strange to you in Westeros, from the language to the wedding ceremony. They make you cut your lips and hand, in a procedure you do not enjoy. Your husband does the same. Your blood flows into a goblet, from which you will have to drink later on.
NO CUZ THIS HADME SCREAAMMINNGGG HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHH SHE REALLY SAID 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 GET IT I GUESS WESTERNERS 🤮 DAFAQ
It's barbaric. You suppose it must symbolize the joining of bloodlines in the crudest way.
Tumblr media
White people
At least Daemon kisses you at the end, a cold brush of his lips against yours that tells you he is still mad. He had probably felt betrayed, being forced into this arrangement you entered willingly.
RAHHH I DONT EVEN REMEMBER WHAT MY REACTION WAS TO THIS BUT IM WILLING TO BET IT WAS KICKING MY LEGS SCREAMING BLUSHING LIKE A CLOWN
If you had known he was that petty, you would have not shown your hand so fast. Your father had wanted dragons, which meant becoming part of House Targaryen. Daemon was the only one available for you to ensnare in your web.
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GIRL BOSS SLAYYYY GASLIGHT GATEKEEP GIRLBOSS SLAYYY HER FATHER ATE ok tbh I don't remember my live reaction to this either but something to do with her father. Im pretty sure at this point you had my soul in your hands I was like this kid is great at writing (and I don't mean that in a oh I'm definitely older than you or condescending way but in like a memey 'hey this guy is good' way)
Daemon had lifted his eyes from the scroll he was reading, annoyed. He had a handsome face, decorated with age lines that only served to make him look more regal. He looked more the part of the King than his brother, a decaying corpse that you had heard had also acquired his own nubile bride.
NOW I KNOW EXACTLY HOW I REACTED TO THIS. I WAS GIGGLING AND FROTHING INT HE MOUTH OVER HIS AGE LINES COS YEAH YEAH OK IM A LIL BITCH FOR IT HUH WHAT ABOUT IT SUE ME. In fact I was so distracted by it I didn't even realize there was a mention of viserys in this 💀💀💀💀🤚🤚🤚 HAAHHAHAAHAHAHHAH WE LOVE ME SOME GOOD OL ROTTING VISERYS SLANDERHAHHAHAAH IDK EVERYTIME ITS MENTIONED ITS JUST SO FUNNY TO ME LIKE I LOVE TO SEE IT HAHAAHHA
Daemon had spoken then. His words were much harsher than those of the language you were used to, lacking the airy song of the languages similar to the one from the Rhoynar. You had not understood. You did not speak a lick of the Common Tongue.
AIRYYY LANGUAGE 😩😩😩🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I LOVE THAT DESCRIPTION. Made me think of elvish/silmarillion/Sindarin lol even though I only know the lotr movies. Also it's such a slay, so fresh and clean to have them not speak the same language. UghHHHH SUCH VIG BRAIN. Also I love the sound of rhoynar. Just the name. No idea what the language sounds like IN FACT I SPENT THE ENTIRE FIC TRYNA GUESS WHAT BONDABIL OR WHATEVER THE FUCK THAT B WORD WAS MEANT
“Daor.” He shook his head. “No.”
Tumblr media
NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND RAHHHHHHHH
He got me fucked up when he started teaching her. AND NIT EVEN COMMON TONGUE. HIGH VALYRIAN. ⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️ HIS presumably MOTHER TONGUE BITCH DAFAQ AITE IMMA HEAD OUT IT WAS ZO NICE KNOW ALL OF Y'ALL BYEEEE
Daemon did not oppose, nor encourage the match, but he was angry at you. Angry that you knew before him and tried to charm him into doing your bidding.
Bro mad that girls be winnin
Men like him, you learn, like to be the ones pulling the strings. They hate being treated like hounds, even if that is what they are.
GASLIGHT GATEKEEP GIRLBOSS RAHHHH. HER YES AND ERA (altho Ari be problematic) BUT SHE REALLY SAID 😒💅 ???? ITS TRUE???? 😗☕👌 WHAT ABOUT IT
You get no further lessons.
RAHHHHHH
JUST SO CONCISE. SO POWERFUL. AND DAEMON BE MAD AS FUCKKKK. SO PETTYYYYYY 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮 EWWWWWWWWW MENNNNNN
As a rich man, your father had known rich men only get richer at times of unrest. And unrest was coming for the Seven Kingdoms. He could smell it in the air, hear it in the whispers of the common folk. Princess Rhaenyra wasn’t going to inherit without issue.
No cuz the speed in which I thought 'oh to be sold of to-' I really had to stop myself. I really had to take a moment and call myself out for THE SPEED the feminism left my body. NAH BUT THEN I WAS LIKE NO FUCK THAT IN THIS ECOMONY?????? IN OUR YEAR OF THE LORD 2024? TO A PRINCE??????? NAH CUZ AT LEAST HER DAD SOLD HER TO A PRINCE 🤚🤚🤚 YEAH IMMA SAY IT OH TO BE SOLD OFF TO A PRINCE IN THIS ECONOMY 😩😩😩✨✨💀💀⚰️⚰️
Your children would get dragons. You would provide funds and as many children as you could, and House Targaryen the magic in their veins. Simple business transaction. But apparently, Daemon disagreed.
... I forgot again... But slay girlie get that dragon husband yipyip
Has he forgotten you do not speak his language? You step closer and poke his arm, hard.
This wasn't my honest reaction but 💀 Daemon kinda dumb for that. BUT YEAH MY HONEST REACTION IS STILL THE SAME WHY THE FUCK DID SHE POKE DAEMON HELLO????? IN WHAT UNIVERSE IS THAT A GOOD IDEA??? LIKE??? HELLO?? I GET HE WAS SCREAMING AT YOU BUT POKING???
youtube
Like you thought you ate with that?? Girl I get punching him, slapping him, SCREAMING BACK but poking????????
Ok your honor I've thought about it and I guess she didn't want to be violent cos hell yeah daemon would knock me out one punch man style but your honor in the moment it was just confusing and a really bad idea I stand by this GIRL
乁( •_• )ㄏ乁( •_• )ㄏ乁( •_• )ㄏ u do I booo ok? I got it 😒☕👌
You are not a small woman. But you are young, and you do not train as much as he does. His looming over you feels menacing, and it reminds you once again of the fate his late wife was rumored to have suffered.
Rip lady rhea Royce, you would have loved women's suffrage
This was a bad idea. A terrible idea. Daemon is forcing you to walk backwards, pushing your forehead and nose with his. You either move, or get a broken nose and a concussion.
ARE WE ABOUT TO KISS RIGHT NOW
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NO CUZ HE WAS LIKE 👹👹👹👹👹👹 IM SO SCARY IM GOING TO PRESS MY FACE REALLY CLOSE TO YOU yes yes irl it would be scary but 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋 he's such a dummy baby girl
ALSO 👀👀👀👀 TOWARDS RHE BED???
Yes I'm a depraved daemon slut spray me with water all you want HISS HISS
You look up at him. You give him your own little snarl. Daemon pauses. It's not the reaction he was expecting. He wanted you to cry. You would never give him the satisfaction.
RAHHHH OKAY THESE MIGHT BE OUT OF ORDER COS MY CLIPBOARD AND COPY PASTE DOESNT MALFUNTIONS SOMETIMES BUT RAHHHHHHHH YOU GO QUEEN CHEW HIS HEAD OFFF GRRR BARK BARK SHE LIKE ME FR I BARK AND SNARL TOO 😖😖😖😖👹👹👹
Daemon doesn't heed the warning. He starts tugging at the buttons of your bodice, tiny pearls sent flying all over the room. The gesture is as brutal as it is calculated. It is meant to remind you of your place, always under him from now on. Daemon has a right to your body, and he intends to exercise it as he sees fit. You are no more than an object, and if you cry or scream, it is not relevant.
UGHHHHH RAHHH BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK YOUR HONOR I DONT KNWO WHAG ELSE TO SAY ITS SO DAEMN ITS SO JUICY DELICIOUS HE CAN PUKK MY BUTTRONS OFF ANYTIME IM NOT EVEN SORRY IM JUST SPEKAING M TURHT
“Daor!” You say, firmly. You push him away. Whatever he anticipated, you giving him a fight wasn't something he was prepared for. It shows in the way he folds, stunned by your behavior. You give him hard little slaps to the chest, until you manage to get him off you.
NO CUZ QUEEN BEHAVIOR. I CANNTO TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES I SLAPPED MYSELF IN THE FACE WHIEL I SQUEALED READING THROUGH THIS. IM PRETTY SURE I WAS KNEE DEEP IN DOING THAT BY THIS PART AND SHE REALLY ATE HIM UP WITH THIS. SHE DEVOURRRREDDDD SHEEEE LEFFTTTT HIM GAGGEDD LIKE BITCH YOU MEEANNNNN WHAT I SAID DAORRR 🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚🤚 PUT A SOCK IN IT RAGGED RAT
Daemon's scowl turns more confused than angry. He looks at you as if you are a particularly challenging riddle to crack. He rightens his clothes and starts to retreat.

You can feel his breath against your neck, making you shiver. His face comes closer, and closer. Daemon stares into your eyes, lips slightly parted. You mirror his expression, feeling as if you are being consumed by your lust.
Tumblr media
He arches an eyebrow. Never been one to shy away from a challenge, you brush his lower lip with his thumb. Daemon parts his lips and sucks it in his mouth.
It's me I'm the slut for lip swiping. Fuck. Fuck me. Please I begging you. I'm on my hands and knees. You rlly got daemon goin

The shock must have shown on your face because he laughs, giving your thumb a playful bite. You squirm, instinct overpowering modesty, and roll your hips against his.

The two of you stare at each other. Closer, and closer, until his features blur, until two purple eyes turn into one. A dragon turned cyclops by the mere force of lust. There is hunger and want, and confusion. Both of you are so close that you are sharing the same air, the same breath. And Daemon pulls, and you are kissing, and you shake in his arms, feeling like how you think the gods must have felt when the cyclopes formed the lighting.
Tumblr media
You are restless as he pets you, biting at your mouth, hands sinking in his hair. You tug him towards your neck, knowing his kisses, scorching hot, would burn even sweeter along your nape and ears.
I hate her (I wish that was me)
Daemon, though, has other plans. He pulls away and pecks you on the lips. “Vūjigon ” He says. He touches his mouth. “Vūjigon”

He pets your hair.

Daemon laughs. He pulls you upwards. Can't he see you are starving?

He squeezes one of your breasts, making you moan, before cruelly twisting the bud. You gasp, your nails digging on his naked shoulders.

Tumblr media
“Shhh.” Daemon soothes you, his hand going to squeeze your breast tenderly once more. “Daor?”
NO NO NIT DAOR NO NO PLEASE STOP IT I WILL CRY AT YOU
His other hand comes into your sight. Daemon makes a gesture, two fingers together, separating. You stare. He nuzzles you, his cheek against yours, before repeating it.

Daemon rubs at your shoulders, soothingly. You understand you need to relax, and force your body to do so. He kisses you in reward, slow and sweet, coaxing you to him.
😩😩😩😩😩😩😩 finally some fucking food (kisses) I'd use the Gordon meme but I'm saving my meme reactions as I've mentioned
The sudden removal of your last layer makes you shiver a little. Your skin is wet from his previous ministrations and rapidly cooling. You plaster yourself to him, seeking warmth.
Me asf. 10/10 no notes.
He chuckles, grabbing your arse to move you slightly out of the way. You scowl, not sure why Daemon is doing so, until you realize he is taking off his breeches.
She's so me. Me 🤝 her. We are one exo (it a kpop meme ignore it if u don't know lol. Nah I'll explain just in case it's like their (kpop boy band 'EXO') tagline
Daemon smiles against your skin. He presses a finger inside you, and you squeal some more. He lets go of your breast to better gaze into your overwhelmed face, seemingly getting an enjoyment out of it.
Tumblr media
HAHAHHAAHH NGL I GAGGED MYAELF WITH THIS MEME REACTION. THIS WASNT THE ONE I WAS THINKING OFF BUT YAH SAME. GOD BLESS DONNA. GOD BLESS MERYL
“Daor?” He asks you, one of his hands petting your cunt. It makes you shiver.

“Vūjigon.” You demand, moving your hips just like he taught you. Daemon is too focused on aiding you bounce by thrusting upwards to pay attention to you. When he doesn't obey, you give a tug to his hair.
MEEEEEE ME AS FUCK ME ME ME HAIR PULLING YEARNING WANTING NEEDING DEMANDING I WANT HIM I LOVE HIM MOST ARDENTLY
He snarls at you. You snarl back. So he grabs your wrists and pushes sideways, and suddenly, you are under him and Daemon is still thrusting into you.
Tumblr media
AND I OOP BUT IM NOT COMPLAINING JUST MAYBE A TINY KINDA
“Daor.” You rub at his back with your foot, gently. You hold him close, and nuzzle his neck, delighting in his scent. Never you had thought before you would enjoy the smell of sweat and some sort of aromatic oil, yet here you are. “Vūjigon.”
I wish I was her I wish I was her I wish I was her I wish I was her I wish I was her I wish I was her I 'm so jealous of her I'm fucking beefing with a bunch of lines fuck outta here
Daemon's expressions softens. He leans in and gives you a kiss. You make pleased, chirping noises, trying to show him that was precisely what you wanted.
Hey so I'm going to set myself on fire. Cool. Cool. I'm so normal. 100 percent no doubt no doubt
He complies, releasing your hands. You enthusiastically hug him. It helps you anchor yourself against the unrelenting waves of pleasure.
Tumblr media
I love it here
You understood then why they called it a small death. You were sweating, squealing like a beast being gutted, thighs trembling under Daemon's hands. It was too much and too little, and you felt yourself reaching it, yearning for it.
😵wanna😵‍💫die😔so😖fucking😩bad🥲ha👹🤽‍♀️ha🔪
Daemon grinned at you. A fierce, proud expression, eyes crinkling in the corners. You pulled him into a kiss, and raked your nails down his back, feeling the skin yield like butter under your fingers. It spurred him on, and with a gasp and a bite to your shoulder, Daemon was shattering inside you.
Tumblr media
He collapsed on top of you with a laugh. You smiled. Daemon pulled you to rest, back flush against his chest, and you understood each other better than those who spoke the same, common tongue, did.
I was not the same person I was one fic ago
Bestiary (Daemon Targaryen x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Your husband and you do not speak the same language. During your wedding night, you find out that High Valyrian and the Common Tongue pale when compared to the way your bodies allow you to communicate.
Warnings: Heavy smut, not much dialogue. P in V sex. First time.
A/N: Who would have thought the most enthusiastic consent I have ever written with Daemon would be in a fic with nearly no dialogue?
Being coached through your wedding vows is not a good omen for your marriage. At least, that is what your husband must think, by the thunderous look on his face. You fight the urge to scream at him that you have practiced for this moment and that you do not need to be coached through the vows. It would be no use. The two of you do not understand each other.
Everything is strange to you in Westeros, from the language to the wedding ceremony. They make you cut your lips and hand, in a procedure you do not enjoy. Your husband does the same. Your blood flows into a goblet, from which you will have to drink later on.
It's barbaric. You suppose it must symbolize the joining of bloodlines in the crudest way.
At least Daemon kisses you at the end, a cold brush of his lips against yours that tells you he is still mad. He had probably felt betrayed, being forced into this arrangement you entered willingly.
If you had known he was that petty, you would have not shown your hand so fast. Your father had wanted dragons, which meant becoming part of House Targaryen. Daemon was the only one available for you to ensnare in your web.
As any good hunter, you had watched your prey first, taking notes of his behavior. Only an afternoon was needed to understand you started the race with a disadvantage. His eyes followed Princess Rhaenyra, Princess Rhaenys and her little daughter, but never lingered on other women.
While you might have lacked the silver hair, you did not lack the wits and charms necessary to be taken in consideration.
You had needed a few days to ready your song, but you had approached him not even a week later. He had been sitting in the library, so you had knocked on the table twice to draw his attention.
Daemon had lifted his eyes from the scroll he was reading, annoyed. He had a handsome face, decorated with age lines that only served to make him look more regal. He looked more the part of the King than his brother, a decaying corpse that you had heard had also acquired his own nubile bride.
Such was the fate of the daughters of powerful men. Sold to other powerful men, old enough to be their fathers, birthing them their own litter of sons and daughters. Sons that would grow up to become powerful men in their own right, daughters that would become pawns to establish dynasties. On and on it went.
Daemon had spoken then. His words were much harsher than those of the language you were used to, lacking the airy song of the languages similar to the one from the Rhoynar. You had not understood. You did not speak a lick of the Common Tongue.
No silver hair, no words, but plenty of resources. You had placed the book you had brought with you on the table, and looked at him.
His eyes had lit up with curiosity. He recognized the title. He spoke again, intrigued.
Despite his tone sounding much more auspicious, you had no other option than to shake your head and speak, with a tremulous voice.
“Bodmagho.” It's the only word you know, one that you have prepared especially for this. But just in case your pronunciation is not perfect, you open the book and mimic the gesture of passing the pages.
Daemon looks stunned. He says something else, still in the Common Tongue. You were able to tell from the intonation he was asking a question, but you didn't know what it was about.
“Bodmagho.” You repeated, stubbornly. You placed your book down and pointed to it.
Daemon sighed. He pointed to the chair. You sat, happy as a clam.
“Prince Daemon.” He pointed at himself. Then, to you. “Lady…?”
You told him your name. He nodded.
“Daor.” He shook his head. “No.”
You stared. He shook his head again. You understood that no, daor and shaking head meant the same.
“Daor. No.” You shook your head. Daemon squeezed your shoulder, a proud smile on his face.
Your father told you that afternoon that you were to be married to him. Just as you had made efforts to catch Daemon, your father had been setting his trap.
Daemon did not oppose, nor encourage the match, but he was angry at you. Angry that you knew before him and tried to charm him into doing your bidding.
Men like him, you learn, like to be the ones pulling the strings. They hate being treated like hounds, even if that is what they are.
You get no further lessons.
This is how you manage to get to your wedding feast only knowing two words. Teach and no. It makes you the most riveting company, and so, it's no wonder you are soon ushered into a chamber with your new husband.
You had not noticed before, but it is the first time you are alone with him since the morning at the library. To you, it had been a matter of no consequence. You had to marry a powerful man, one day. Your father decided it should be him because he wanted dragons. It was as simple as that.
As a rich man, your father had known rich men only get richer at times of unrest. And unrest was coming for the Seven Kingdoms. He could smell it in the air, hear it in the whispers of the common folk. Princess Rhaenyra wasn’t going to inherit without issue.
Your family moved here for that reason. An opportunity to get richer could not be dismissed. Your father had taken one look at the dragons and decided that they were the key to turning his legacy into an empire.
Giant war machines that could level castles in one afternoon. Raze a city to the ground in mere hours. Fire so hot it could melt stone. They could not be bought, you had to be a Targaryen to have them. It was only natural to turn into one, then.
Your children would get dragons. You would provide funds and as many children as you could, and House Targaryen the magic in their veins. Simple business transaction. But apparently, Daemon disagreed.
His face is thunderous. You can tell he is about to berate you. He starts talking, brows pinched together and an accusing finger pointed towards you.
Has he forgotten you do not speak his language? You step closer and poke his arm, hard.
It was the wrong choice. Daemon's face turns even more murderous. His lips twist into a snarl, teeth bared. His posture turns aggressive. He puffs up his chest, he advances on you. The Prince tries to intimidate you through his body language alone.
You are not a small woman. But you are young, and you do not train as much as he does. His looming over you feels menacing, and it reminds you once again of the fate his late wife was rumored to have suffered.
This was a bad idea. A terrible idea. Daemon is forcing you to walk backwards, pushing your forehead and nose with his. You either move, or get a broken nose and a concussion.
Daemon is terrifying. You will not cross him again, you think to yourself. Only a fool goes around poking dragons with a stick. You feel your palms starting to sweat, a knot forming in your throat. You fight the urge to cry.
The back of your knees hits the mattress, and you fall into the furs with a small noise of surprise. Your husband does not lose any time. He gets right into your face, trying to intimidate you even more.
But if you hope to survive this marriage, to make it work as your father has requested, you can't bend. Daemon will never respect you if you do. He will see you as no more than a frightened girl, who will not disagree with him and serve for little beyond warming his bed. You are not that. You will build an empire, a dynasty out of his dragons and your wealth. The only thing you can do is persevere or break trying.
Daemon scowls at you. He notices the change in your eyes, the fight coming back to you.
“Daor.” You say, staring him down with all your might. It doesn't matter if you are lying down, and he is hovering over you, pinning you under him. You will triumph.
Despite knowing why he is doing it, you can't avoid grimacing. He looks more beast than a man, snarling over you, ripping your clothes. It's a sight that would scare any woman, no matter how cold.
You look up at him. You give him your own little snarl. Daemon pauses. It's not the reaction he was expecting. He wanted you to cry. You would never give him the satisfaction.
It's a balancing act. You will have to bring him to heel, but soothe his pride in the next act, less he turns on you. Push away a man too much, and he will think you are disrespecting him. He will call you names, thinking you are the problem. Daemon feels entitled to you. You need to show him he is not, but that you are giving yourself to him. He needs to value you. The treasure to his dragon.
“Daor!” You say, firmly. You push him away. Whatever he anticipated, you giving him a fight wasn't something he was prepared for. It shows in the way he folds, stunned by your behavior. You give him hard little slaps to the chest, until you manage to get him off you.
Daemon's scowl turns more confused than angry. He looks at you as if you are a particularly challenging riddle to crack. He rightens his clothes and starts to retreat.
“Daor.” You repeat, grabbing at his shirt to keep him in place. You do not want him to leave.
Daemon wretches free from your grip on his arm. He mutters something, angered.
“Daor.” You use his trick against him, stepping right into his path and forcing him to back off. You use your body to make him advance backwards, toward the bed.
He sits on the edge of it, still scowling. You giggle, making Daemon madder still. You look at him with what you hope is a seductive expression and pull your bodice down.
“Bodmagho?” You ask him, as your dress pools around your feet, leaving you in a sheer shift. Daemon's eyes darken. His expression changes into an amused smile, and he gestures for you to come to him.
You do. You step closer and get on his lap. His hands envelop your waist, warm and calloused.
Then, the unexpected. Daemon grabs your hair and pulls, forcing your head back. You moan, pain and arousal mixing into an unknown emotion that makes the place between your legs slick.
You can feel his breath against your neck, making you shiver. His face comes closer, and closer. Daemon stares into your eyes, lips slightly parted. You mirror his expression, feeling as if you are being consumed by your lust.
He arches an eyebrow. Never been one to shy away from a challenge, you brush his lower lip with his thumb. Daemon parts his lips and sucks it in his mouth.
His hands go to greedily knead at your thighs, slipping under your shift. His palms feel rough against your skin, impatient. The shift rides up, up, up. You mewl against his mouth, desperately reaching for something unknown to you but that you know Daemon will help you reach.
You are restless as he pets you, biting at your mouth, hands sinking in his hair. You tug him towards your neck, knowing his kisses, scorching hot, would burn even sweeter along your nape and ears.
Daemon, though, has other plans. He pulls away and pecks you on the lips. “Vūjigon ” He says. He touches his mouth. “Vūjigon”
You kiss him, softly. “Vūjigon”
He pets your hair.
“Vūjigon.” And he points to his collarbones. You frown in confusion, thinking perhaps the word doesn't mean what you think it does. He sighs and leans in, pressing an open-mouthed kiss to the space between your collarbones.
“Vūjigon.” You perk up, and start kissing his shoulders. Your hands pull his shirt more open, letting you bite and lick more of his flesh. The urge to consume and be consumed is overpowering, making you desperate to touch him.
Daemon laughs. He pulls you upwards. Can't he see you are starving?
“Daor.” He says, when you try to go back to it. You give him your fiercest pout. Daemon tuts at you.
He squeezes one of your breasts, making you moan, before cruelly twisting the bud. You gasp, your nails digging on his naked shoulders.
“Shhh.” Daemon soothes you, his hand going to squeeze your breast tenderly once more. “Daor?”
You don't know how to tell him what you want, so you grab his hand and make him pinch the tender bud again. Daemon smiles. He kisses you, muttering something fervently on your lips.
He lays you down on the bed, despite your attempts to sit up. Daemon pins you down with a growl, hand on your chest.
You can't help it. No matter the warning, you squirm as if you were in pain. It certainly feels like it. There is some sort of hunger in your belly, making you want to rub your core against him. You can feel your shift starting to become wet right above your tailbone. Daemon has you so bothered you are dripping into the shift and the bed.
Daemon gives you another growl and leans down to bite your breast over the fabric of your shift. It's meant to be punishment, but you arch into it, gasping.
He laughs. He takes as much of it as it can fit in his mouth, sucking greedily. The noises are obscene. The sight must be, too. Your mouth, open, moaning yourself into a frenzy. Daemon, nipping, biting, sucking, like a man starved. Your shift with two giant wet spots, one at the chest and the other by your arse.
You moan, surprised at the feeling. You had never thought bodies could be used in such a way before. Nor had you hoped for him to please you so eagerly.
His lips close around your bud. His tongue twirls around it, lavishing it with attention. You grab at his hair, his nape, desperately trying to hold onto something. Daemon just sucks harder on your breast. You moan, and moan, and moan some more. Desperate little sounds, gathering in the air around a desperate girl.
He switches to your other breast. Your shift feels sticky on your skin, so you start trying to take it off. The task distracts you enough for his hand to find its way to your core, and you squeak at the first sensation of his fingers against it.
Daemon smiles against your skin. He presses a finger inside you, and you squeal some more. He lets go of your breast to better gaze into your overwhelmed face, seemingly getting an enjoyment out of it.
Another finger joins the first. You cry out. It stings a bit. Daemon shushes you, kissing your cheek. He rubs at something above your opening that makes you squirm in delight.
His other hand comes into your sight. Daemon makes a gesture, two fingers together, separating. You stare. He nuzzles you, his cheek against yours, before repeating it.
You nod with a pout.
He starts prying you open slowly, this time. Despite enjoying causing pain, it appears your cooperation has granted you privileges with Daemon. He understood the distress on your face, and read you correctly enough to know it was not going to go well if he kept going as he was.
Daemon rubs at your shoulders, soothingly. You understand you need to relax, and force your body to do so. He kisses you in reward, slow and sweet, coaxing you to him.
You nod again. Daemon moves back, settling himself by your side. He takes your shift away, pressing soft little kisses to each new inch of skin revealed.
The sudden removal of your last layer makes you shiver a little. Your skin is wet from his previous ministrations and rapidly cooling. You plaster yourself to him, seeking warmth.
He chuckles, grabbing your arse to move you slightly out of the way. You scowl, not sure why Daemon is doing so, until you realize he is taking off his breeches.
“Daemon.” You whisper, softly. There is a part of you that is already cringing at the promise of pain the loss of your maidenhead will bring.
“Daor?” He asks you, one of his hands petting your cunt. It makes you shiver.
“Bodmagho.” You grasp at his shoulders, steadying yourself. Daemon lines the two of you. You feel his member at your entrance, holding you open and threatening to spear you apart. It feels scorching against your skin.
He helps you impale yourself on his member. It's not pleasant at first. Property dictates that you should not let him see your discomfort. You should just bear it like a good wife and allow him to chase his pleasure unbothered.
But you know Daemon enjoys causing pain. He thrives on it. So you let your eyes fill with tears, and your face goes slack and overwhelmed.
He smiles. He licks your tears away, and mumbles something. You squeal, and it only excites him more.
“Bodamagho.” Daemon pinches the flesh on your hip, clearly calling you to focus. His hands move your pelvis back and forth, back and forth, until you are hissing in pleasure, your hands on his chest, doing the movement yourself.
“Vūjigon.” You demand, moving your hips just like he taught you. Daemon is too focused on aiding you bounce by thrusting upwards to pay attention to you. When he doesn't obey, you give a tug to his hair.
He snarls at you. You snarl back. So he grabs your wrists and pushes sideways, and suddenly, you are under him and Daemon is still thrusting into you.
You are desperate for closeness. You scrunch up your face and wrap your legs around his back. Daemon looks down at you, and bites your shoulder. He is not pleased with your perceived attempt to take control.
Realizing your mistake, you shake your head.
“Daor.” You rub at his back with your foot, gently. You hold him close, and nuzzle his neck, delighting in his scent. Never you had thought before you would enjoy the smell of sweat and some sort of aromatic oil, yet here you are. “Vūjigon.”
Daemon's expressions softens. He leans in and gives you a kiss. You make pleased, chirping noises, trying to show him that was precisely what you wanted.
He complies, releasing your hands. You enthusiastically hug him. It helps you anchor yourself against the unrelenting waves of pleasure.
His hands, now freed from yours, are everywhere. Twisting your buds, rubbing at your pearl, squeezing your waist. Daemon whispers nonsense in your ears, takes the lobe between his teeth. He aids you, tilting your hips with his hands, reaching deeper.
You heard a story once, about Westeros. A white hart was said to come to the greatest Kings alive. A magnificent beast, tall as a man, with skin made of the purest snow and antlers as long and imposing as the branches of an ancient tree. If a King encountered it, it was a good omen for his rule. It would be just and prosperous, blessed by the Gods.
What did they do with the hart? Keep it in Kingswood, perhaps? You had made the mistake of asking, once. You had been told that they used the best spear they had. That men held the hart down, and they gutted it from head to belly.
The perfect, regal beast, fur as pale as snow. The pristine white sheets under you. Blood tainting the white. What a way to go.
You understood then why they called it a small death. You were sweating, squealing like a beast being gutted, thighs trembling under Daemon's hands. It was too much and too little, and you felt yourself reaching it, yearning for it.
You did not care if you burned, moth to a flame, maiden to a dragon. Daemon seemed to realize it because his hand went to rub at your pearl, and he leaned in.
“….” He was talking, but it was in that strange language of his, and your ears were ringing, you felt about to explode. Your body responded to his tone, though. Gentle, loving, coaxing you over the edge with a scream so fierce you might as well have been one of those weeping women that appeared far north.
He collapsed on top of you with a laugh. You smiled. Daemon pulled you to rest, back flush against his chest, and you understood each other better than those who spoke the same, common tongue, did.

Tumblr media
OKAY SO...  i have too many au ideas, but these are the most workable?
1 & 2.  Dimension  Travel
Yes, there’s two of these.    I know we’ve discussed Jaina from Legends ending up in Sequels at the equivalent year but there’s also her ending up in the midst of it all at an older age.    No, I don’t want it because Jaina would without a doubt be able to wipe the floor with the trash man with or without the Force as a Master can.    But rather, exploring what would happen if say, through a hyperspace accident, a newly-ish Empress Jaina on say a Super Star Destroyer ending up in the Sequels world could be incredibly interesting.  On one hand, she’s personally dealing with what she never expected to happen, which is being drawn into the Imperial mess via Jag, but on the other, likely many new things are happening in her life *cough* kids *cough*, so Jaina is definitely now on her game compared to say other times in her life. As for in story, her showing up so would prove entirely disruptive to whatever is occurring at that point.  In armament and technology, her single Super Star Destroyer would prove quite the threat and yet, also there’s the whole thing about their being part of the reformed Galactic Empire.  (there would be a lot of things going on behind the scenes that have nothing to do with threads with Kylo that I just find INTERESTING) I could see it being particularly interesting writing such things with Kylo/Ben since the crew would be attempting to figure out what to do and all, so there is, I suppose, a chance they would at least consider joining the First Order, especially if what has happened regarding the Republic is obscured?  Jaina is the lone Jedi/fought for the Republic person so lbh, drama.  There’s also the possibility that she would obscure who exactly she is?  Or rather the command staff might make that decision for her if she happens to be pregnant lbh, since protecting heirs and all that insanity.  Basically, I just want to cause maximum chaos in Kylo’s life and this would work perfectly
THE SECOND ONE IS KYLO ENDING UP IN LEGENDS.  Because lbh, why not cause more pain and chaos in their universe as well?  IDK when would be best, but him having to navigate all that?  Interesting.  Depending on when he arrives, it could cause so much chaos and or surprising allies????  This is much shorter because I’ve absolutely not a solid idea like the first one but alone or also en masse would cause delicious angst.
3.  Fantasy
There are SO many places to go with this???? but the idea that sticks with me most is one in which kinda echoes my idea for a rewritten sequels, at least in where Jaina is concerned.    Heavy GoT/Witcher vibes I think???  Also the Force being magic, etc.  After a kingdom wide civil war which over throws a usper and mage, their parents believe things could finally be good.  Of course they won’t be...  Someone/Something is slowly corrupting Ben and in the midst of it all, either Jaina is kidnapped or lost, just somehow removed from them at a very long age and is unable to be found.  Depending on how old she is, might also have some trauma based amnesia involved as well?  But she ends up being raised out in the middle of nowhere, perhaps by decent people who find her somehow but don’t know her well or by not so wonderful people a la Rey in the Sequels because pain, I guess.  But Ben becomes this medieval fantasy version of Kylo and helps forge a new civil war over the Kingdom? known world?  something like that.  And Jaina, now a young woman, is secretly trying to deal with her powers while living a life far removed from one that understands or can help her with them.  Does she get drawn into the Resistance?  Does Ben discover her during some sort of battle/raid in the village nearest to her?  WHO KNOWS.
4.  Rewritten Sequels
This one is probably the most inane but also the easiest to work with?   IDK but it’s an idea I’ve been kicking around in my mind.  It, to some extent, entirely? replaces Rey’s character with Jaina (kind of working off of some of the early speculation there was after TFA came out), but at the same time isn’t a direct copy paste sort of thing.   Jaina, being a tad younger than what I make her already in sequels, is kidnapped at a very young age by some sort of Sith cult like the siblings are in legends.  However, they lose her and through a bizarre chain of events, ends up in the care of people on a desert planet.  Is it Jakku or Tatooine or another one entirely?  IDK.  Neither do I know whether she’ll be well treated a la Beru and Owen or badly like with Rey. From there, it could go a lot of places...  Jaina ending up joining a flight academy like Luke always wanted to but for the Republic, her being stuck on that obscure planet until the First Order or the Resistance stumble upon her more like the sequels do go, or even (especially if she doesn’t totally replace Rey) being kidnapped again by the First Order to be one of their soldiers like Finn was (whether they discover she’s force sensitive or not somehow is another question)... THERE’S A LOT OF PLACES THIS COULD GO.    A lot of potential insanity with Kylo considering her being an untrained but extremely powerful Force sensitive LET ALONE if he figures out/just knows she’s his sister.

#BenSoloDeservedBetter
Tbh, all of Ben’s scenes were powerful/meaningful and had me bawling in the thatre today, but I still think they kinda wasted his character, or better, missed a lot of opportunities with him and didn’t handle his story arc well:
-He had little screen time/dialouge (the “No one knows me”/”But I do” bit didn’t even show up??) and barely interacted with characters other than Rey, as well as being directly talked about by the other characters. Would’ve loved a short argument between him and Hux or a heated meeting between him and Finn/Poe to see how their reactions would have changed.
-Leia didn’t mention him while talking to Rey (really missed such a part), didn’t react to his redemption because she was killed off right before, but she also didn’t even do so at all as a force ghost. It’s kinda upsetting to me that she seemed to pay attention to Rey, who is essentially a stranger taking her name, than to her own son redeeming himself and dying for his love.
- Ben’s death is what bugs me the most. I get that it was him making a selfless choice, sacrificing himself for someone he loves rather than a selfish choice against and sacrificing someone he loves like with Han and I appreciate that it was essentially him finding peace and realizing whom he loves most and what makes him happy but... idk it felt so small and unimportant in the context of the movie to me. Partly because he was so isolated from/ignored by the other characters so it only had an impact on Rey, she’s the only one who knows about it and didn’t show much emotion about it to me, especially afterwards.
To add to that I’d say that he’s just kind of... forgotten after his death? It makes me so sad that he struggles, redeems himself, realizes so much, crawls in pain to his love and saves her by giving his own life, actually smiling for the first time in the whole ST and is then never mentioned again? He’s neither mentioned by any of his family members (they are there but just help Rey instead?? Since Han was just a memory/metaphor) nor honored for his redemption and sacrifice by anyone. They could’ve just made a scene where Rey mentions him saving her to anyone, finds his lightsaber and smiles (okay that might be a bit weird but I hope y’all know what I mean), buries his helmet in the desert or makes a gravestone for him or something like that. There seems to be like... no appreciation from her side afterwards which I find so, so sad and pretty ooc for Rey. Honestly made me dislike her a bit in the end.
All this is even fueled by the fact that he just dematerializes instead of simply dying, so there is no burial like with Vader, which would’ve been a moment of intimacy and honor. She could’ve kept his clothes, but probably didn’t, even though that would’ve been sweet.
They didn’t even bother to make him appear as a force ghost goddamnit! That makes me so mad!
It was just Leia and Luke. Just... having him live on with his family in peace as a spirit after all that would’ve given out at least a little bit of hope.
But no. His redemption, sacrifice and death is just kinda glossed over like it was no big deal in the end, as if it hadn’t been such a huge theme in the ST and it’s pretty ironic that Ben got more attention and hopeful support from his family when he was evil than when he was alive and good.
To me it appears that Ben was almost punished for his redemption in a way. Even if he has done terrible things, he just shouldn’t be erased after that, especially not if the focus has always been on his inner conflict anyways.
(Ugh and don’t even get me started on the fact that he didn’t get a happy life with Rey - which they both deserved - or real revenge on Palpatine and that we never got to see his emotions towards Vader...)
I mean, maybe he did imply that it was too late for him to be saved, but I call BS since to me it was just his uncertainty speaking and a parallel to TFA. His princey unmask in TFA even implied that he was still human and that he was still able to be saved. And maybe he didn’t become a force ghost because he lives on with Rey’s soul, but heck, I WANNA SEE STUFF LIKE THAT ON SCREEEN! Not in my mind or the novels or metaphors!
(And am I the only one that feels like chunks of TFA and TLJ were ignored and the Reylo conversations were kinda a bit too... unemotional and too much focused on their parents rather than Rey and Ben? I also had the impression that Rey didn’t have much “real emotion” towards Ben in this movie? Like their love was very one-sided in the final movie?)
That being said, I really do appreciate Ben sacrificing himself for Rey, his smile, their kiss and that whole thing with him coming to peace with his father’s murder, it was beautiful and helped showing that he genuienly loved her, that he was in fact deeply regretting killing Han, and it was completely erasing his “monster”-label in my eyes, but Ben still really shouldn’t have died like that. It’s just not hopeful to me.
Furthermore, I firmly believe that they didn’t kill him off because of Han or because he couldn’t be saved, but because they had to kill off the last Skywalker to close the saga, but still...
His redemption/sacrifice/death had shockingly little impact on the other characters and story and felt very unimportant/meaningless to me. (Which is also my view on Han’s sacrifice - with Ben dying in the end, it sorta felt a lot less meanigful and - I hate to say it - like a waste. Han surely went out there because he wanted his son to live, not to die and be forgotten by everyone)
In the end, I really don’t think that JJ and his team handled the ending of Kylo’s/Ben’s story well. And I’d say that even if I wasn’t a Reylo. Ben could’ve found his peace and payed for his sins without ending like that.

DO I HAVE THE RIGHT, AS A VILLAIN STAN, TO ASK SOME MORAL FROM THE HEROES?
The answer is yes.
I didn’t know it was such a controversial stance. And certainly not a hypocrite one. Because, I will tell you something: surprisingly, I don’t ask the same thing from two characters who are not at all at the same place in the narrative.
Do you think I ask the same thing from M/idoriya I/zuku and Shigaraki Tomura? From Rey and Kylo Ren? From Cloud and Sephiroth? From Kurosaki Ichigo and Aizen Sosuke? Of course I don’t. Because the narrative itself does not ask the same thing from them.
(If you are sensible to any criticism of the Heroes (mainly about the main protagonist and the n°1 Hero) then maybe, you should go on your way. I am biased and a Villain Apologist so you know what you are getting into and I am not sure you will find any pleasure in reading this post.)
Why am I side-eyeing very much when M/idoriya lacks of both awareness and compassion when I don’t care if Shigaraki just destroyed an hospital? Because the story tells me time and time again that Midoriya is so compassionate, and incredible, and good, and bla bla bla. Shigaraki? Sure, he makes speeches that hit just right but the story tells me that he mostly acts and reacts violently. And what do I get? The author gives me a Villain who is doing bad things and a Hero who is doing not so amazing things. You can guess why I am quite disappointed.
I find that truly amazing that I should ask the same morals from Heroes and Villains. Are people who are crying about it secretly Villains stans, or what? If a character is showed as a role model, then, shouldn’t their actions match with their title?
And you are going to tell me that M/idoriya is only 15/16yo and I will answer you that I don’t care. He is the main character. I estimate that having a main character who at least try to hold up to the hype created by its own author is not too much. Is it too much to ask to M/idoriya to react a little bit much when he learns about his friend’s abuse? Not even Dabi’s one, you know. Just about his friend. His blindness about society (which was victim of, may I remind you) and heroes is beginning to be worrying at best, unvolontary malevolent at worst.
And again, NO, him being 15/16 does not change anything because I had to follow him for 300 CHAPTERS and there was almost no moral/caracter growth. I mean, do you think it is that normal that Shigaraki, the main Villain, has so much more development and evolution than the main character? Really? I don’t think so. Mastering a power is not a CHARACTER growth (and last time I checked, MHA isn’t a power fantasy?).
He is going to become the Number One Hero, right? So, why do I have to search so hard to see that he is worthier to become the One than, idk, Uraraka? Shoto? Almost every other Heroes in training? Is it too much to ask him to grow out of the strict minimum when it comes to saving people? No? Then WHY should I cheer for him? Because he is the protagonist? It is not enough. And it’s not a question of genre: justifying/excusing writing problems by saying that it is a nekketsu problem is a really poor argument.
This whole rant obviously takes roots in the now infamous fight between pro-Dabi and pro-End/eavor. What I am in this? I am okay with End/eavor having a redemption on the paper tbh. Like if it’s well done (which is not the case for now), then why not. But clearly, I am a pro-Dabi. I find his potential more interesting than End/eavor’s one. Personnal tastes, you may say. But sometimes, I see people being surprised (yes it’s an euphemism), that some us are judging End/eavor much more harshly than Dabi when Dabi killed people. I will not extend myself on how it is two different stubjects and that Dabi doing bad things does not negate the bad things done to him but it’s not the focus here.
Instead I will ask you something: if End/eavor was not a Pro-Hero but a lambda man or a Villain, would you have the same reaction? Personnaly, I would not. I would not because if he was a Villain, I would judge him as a bad guy doing bad things. Here? It is a Hero - who is supposed to do good things because it is what a Hero should do, last time I checked -, doing bad things. See the difference? That’s why I am harsher with him than with a Villain. Does End/eavor tries to do better? Sure. I can accept the concept. But it does not change his fault and, most importantly, the consequences of them, personally and publically. It does not change the implications of the whole thing.
Am I biased? Of course, I am. I prefer Dabi so I will be more sensible to his point of view. I perfer Shigaraki, so of course, I will be more sensible to his situation than to Midoriya’s one.
However, it does not change the fact that I find legitimate to ask more morals from Heroes than from Villains. After all, if they can have the same moral level, why would the Heroes be the good guys, right? If you are speaking in these terms, if you are considering that each side has a grey morality then, not only you destroy the system that you seem to defend, a system that categorize people in black and white boxes, Villains and Heroes, but you have to accept that there are writing problems in the story itself because it privileges a side that does not really deserve it.
Them being better would not make me like them more tbh, I prefer bad guys (who have redemption or not) after all. So why be so dead-ass on asking  a better moral, a better writing for the Heroes? Because wether I like it or not, they are the side we follow. And why not having a side we follow which held up to the standart the author is writing for them? There is a gap between how the author treats his Heroes narratively (which usually conflates with how the Society see them, imo) and how they behave in reality. It is a fact. But it does not mean that I have to accept it. You know, if you like Heroes and their system that much, maybe you should pray for a writing that would held them up to the ideal standart, instead of undermining them. Otherwise, welcome to the Villain side, where you have to admit that your fav’ are not that good and that you have to accept it.

Behind the Scenes (Daisy Ridley x Reader)
Request: could i request more daisy x reader? i loved her sm and i love the whole behind-the-scenes actor fanfic trope 🥴 by anon. What does that emoji means?
Words: 991 (short but cute)
A/N: I took the request very literal as you can see. Idk, this is rather short and there’s not actual plot. This takes place during the making of The Last Jedi. Hope you have a good day/night!
Tumblr media
“Don’t do this, Ben!” she begged “Please don’t go this way”
“No, you’re still holding on, let go!” the big man shouted looking at her “Do you want to know the truth about your parents? Or have you always known, and you’ve just hidden it away. You know the truth. Say it” he continued in a more calm yet concentrated way. “Say it.” he repeated.
Rey fought her tears, struggling to articulate her words
“They were nobody” she finally murmured and the tears pooling on her eyes finally started to silently fall over her face.
“They were filthy junk traders that sold you off for drinking money. They’re dead in a paupers grave in the Jakku desert.” Kylo Ren explained, new burning tears rolled down the girl’s face with every new detail she found about her past, the pain spread all over her face as she looked at the big man in front of her and the fire kept consuming the room.
“You have no place in this story, you come from nothing. You’re nothing.” Ren told her, paused for a moment  “But not to me. Join me.” he asked offering her his gloved hand, Rey observed him. “Please.” he murmured taking a step closer towards her and then something surprising happened. She raised her hand too.
“CUT!” the director screamed through the a microphone in his hand cutting through the wall of emotions that the actors built, moments later a siren echoed in the room marking the end of the scene. “Thanks, guys. That was awesome” he said and the room erupted on applauses for the talented actors that were still in the middle of the set “Alright. Take five minutes and we’ll get you on the wires.”
You waited for the fire around the room to stop and then you rushed from your place next to the director to talk to her.
“That was terrific!” you snapped as soon as you were by her side “I was holding my breath the whole time, really that was fantastic!” you told her. Only then you noticed her sad eyes and the tear that were still falling down her delicate face.
Daisy murmured a soft “Thanks” but she had some trouble speaking without her voice breaking.
“Oh, dear. Come here” you murmured extending your arms to her and she quickly moved into your embrace holding you tight. “That was a really intense scene, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah” she murmured. You knew it was, Daisy always gave everything when it came to acting, she understood the character, she felt her pain, she shared the tears with Rey. And all that work was captured by the camera but this was something fans and viewers don't usually get to see, the moment when the character slowly left the grap it had on the actor to reveal the person behind it.
“She okay?” A lady from the makeup department asked as she came closer while you held your girlfriend very close to you and tried your best to comfort her. You nodded softly to the lady and she gave you a bit of space.
“Good work, Daisy!” the cameraman cheered as he passed by your side.
“Thanks” she muttered but she was still sobbing a little bit, she moved a little away from your embrace to clean her face up from the tears. “Oh, sorry, Y/N, I ruined your shirt with my tears” she gave you a bittersweet chuckle. “I’m such a crybaby”
“Nonsense” you told her helping her to erase the trail of the tears from her cheeks. “And in that case, you’re me crybaby” you teased giving a wink “Seriously, you did an amazing work back there, darling” you told her sincerely winning a soft smile curving her lips.
“I couldn’t have done it without your help, babe” she told you now a bit more calm “Practicing the lines with you made me really know how to get this scene” she said with a smile.
You remembered the night before this shoot, she was a bit nervous, this whole scene was really intense physically for the long fight in the throne room, all those moves were very demanding and the heavy sabers made it even harder, but also it was very emotional after the fight, Daisy was scared she would not react correctly to the words in the scene. She could be a bit perfectionist from time to time and this moment meant a lot not only to the film and the character but for her.
“And you do an amazing Kylo” she laughed, finally. You laughed too, knowing she was just making fun of your failed attempts to imitate Adam’s voice.
“Watch it, Adam. I’m gonna still your role!” you said looking in the direction of the tall man talking with the director, he looked at you for a moment and chuckled. Daisy bursted laughing, her contagious laugh in filling the air of the set. “Feeling better?”
“Way better” she smiled at you with a loving gaze. “Thanks, Y/N” she said and you just stayed there, looking into her eyes in the middle of a set that moments ago was completely on fire.
“Sorry to interrupt” the lady from the makeup department said. “I have to give you a few touch-ups before the wires” she said to Daisy.
“Sure” she nodded “Mind to wait a little?” she told you.
“No, go. You still have a lot to film today” you said with a smile.
“Alright, this wire thing should be fun after the last scene I did with them” she giggled, then she leaned to press a quick kiss on your lips. “See you around, my love” she said before she turned to the lady waiting for her and soon she was in the other side of the place hearing the director’s indications as some people adjusted the harness for the wires.
Then the director screamed “Action” and the story started again.

Would you break down Kylo Ren, please?
Boy can I anon! :) Apologies as well for the late reply, i wanted to take my time for this one.
essentially the TL/DR version is: this character has been neglected and abused his entire life, believing he didn't belong anywhere with anyone. only after realizing his parents and Rey actually care about him does he gain the courage to “do the right thing.” He’s then written unceremoniously out of existence after saving and kissing Rey, only being happy for 10 seconds in hid entire life. Aint that dandy! :)
Idk how short of an explanation you want, but i also decided to list all of his major character arcs within his lifetime, simply because i care about this character A LOT. I haven’t written anything like an essay in a while, so i really couldn’t help myself haha. This list is also chronological, but ill keep it under a read-more for easy scrolling.
PRE-TFA
Literally been toyed with and corrupted SINCE BEFORE BEING BORN
A happy toddler who loved his parents and "uncles"
His parents loved him very much but didn’t treat him as a priority. Leia tended to focus on her political career and Han couldn’t shake his old nomadic ways. As a result, Ben ended up very isolated.
As he grew stronger and keener to the isolation, his parents feared him and his emotions. Leia sent him away to Luke’s academy, despite Han not wanting Ben to go.
Made friends in the academy, but still a loner. All the while the voices in his head (Snoke/palpatine) are growing louder and louder
Luke forcibly saw into his mind, intent on ending ben’s life until changing his mind. Naturally this upset Ben, seeing as he figured what was left of his family that cared about him wanted him dead. He then collapsed the building, trapping Luke inside.
While deciding to run away, a storm (inferably caused by Snoke/Palpatine) struck fire to the Jedi Temple, killing the students inside. Ben attempted to save a few, but failed.
Ran into the arms of the First Order and the Knights of Ren, since snoke gaslit him into believing it was the only place he could be.
Trained under The KOR and Snoke as a dark side force warrior. Mainly used asa spiritual tool to snuff out Jedi rather than a political tool for the FO.
Tasked with finding Luke Skywalker, sets the beginning of TFA in motion.
TFA
Demonstrates his capability in dark side tendencies by torturing Poe for information
Chooses not to acknowledge Finn’s deflection
immediately gets distracted from his mission of finding bb8 once learning there is a girl involved with this situation.
remains primarily on the defense while subduing rey, carries her away manually to his ship for interrogation. its notable to mention that Han was completely unworried for rey as she was being taken; he knew rey was strong enough to resist and he knew his son’s shortcomings.
willingly unmasks to rey while interrogating her; this is to show the audience that not only is he making himself more vulnerable and relatable to rey, but also to show that he’s completely opposite to what rey was expecting.
Their connection is formed as they push into each other’s minds
snoke tells him to kill his father in order to complete the training. ben loves his father dearly but genuinely believes he’s too far gone to do anything contradictory to snoke’s orders.
senses it when han arrives at Starkiller, and ignores him. referential material implied that kylo wanted to give han the chance to escape, but when Han sought him out then he reacted.
kills han, the deed “splitting him to the bone”
survived, but gravely injured by Chewbacca’s bowcaster blast (shown previously blowing up 6 troopers at once). Sees Finn and Rey, becoming enraged, and follows them.
intercepts rey and finn in the forrest. angrily taunts them while beating his wounds. sends rey back into a tree in self-defense. demands to take the legacy saber, fighting with finn in the process. its notable that his fighting style while on the offensive is extremely akin to a berserker method; precise and accurate but brutal and excessive. ends up slashing finn and rendering him unconscious.
is in awe of rey’s ability to call the saber to her, fights her less-aggressively in order to corner her and offer her guidance. naturally she refuses, and taps into the force to overpower him and leave him bleeding on Starkiller as her and Finn rejoin the resistance.
TLJ
approaches snoke in his throneroom, visibly injured and emotional as a result of his fight with rey and the death of his father. snoke mocks his “weak” emotional state and calls him a “child in a mask.”
is hurt by snoke’s remark, an destroys his mask in a rage.
leads an arial attack on the Resistance ships, demonstrating his skills as a pilot. When he has an opportunity to blow up his mother’s ship, he doesn’t; he loves her far too much and cant physically bring himself to repeat the horror of killing Han. Unfortunately, one of the TIE pilots do instead. (later he is relieved to still feel his mother through the force.)
while in a medbay getting treatment for his scar, the force connects him with rey for the first time. both are surprised by this turn of events, and Kylo is more curious as to the logistics of the connection rather than being angry at the sudden appearance of his enemy.
connects with rey again as she is in the rain, still fascinated by how exactly the bond works. rey is still enraged by his presence as he casually mentions that Luke isnt the saintly figure she sees him as. Agrees with her as she angrily calls him a monster; instead of a taunt its actually a display of self-loathing. he then wipes his face after their connection ends, demonstrating that the bond they share permeates a physical space (as well as being a metaphor of the palpable tension between him and rey).
connects with rey again, this time with him in a state of partial undress. rey asks him if he could put a shirt on and he doesn't, despite the fact his shirt is on the desk a few feet away. the narrative purpose of this introduction is to show that rey is physically attracted to him and he knows it.
tells rey his story of Luke attempting to kill him, then tells her his nihilistic outlook of “letting the past die.” they disconnect, but rey ends up following his advice and explores the darker part of the island (a metaphor for HER darker side).
Later connects with rey again as she tearfully tells how alone she felt while in the cave attempting to find herself. Him, visibly touched by her story and the fact she trusts him enough to confess something so personal, tearfully tells her that she’s not alone. they then touch hands, doing so granting them visions of the supposed future. Luke angrily blasts apart the cabin, forcefully ending their connection.
Rey flies to him on the Supremacy, and he cuffs her to take her to snoke. (It’s important to mention that in the novel adaptation of the movie, it’s more of a playful and flirtatious banter between the two instead of a prisoner/hostage situation.) While on the elevator rey begs him to join her, as he counters and says that she’ll eventually join him instead.
While in snoke’s throne room, Kylo submissively kneels as snoke tortures rey for information. he occassionally looks up woefully at her, and eventually turns the saber on snoke after saying “he knows what he has to do.” He and rey team up to fight the Praetorian Guards and end up defeating them together.
Pleads with Rey to join him in leading the darkside as rey pleads with him to save the resistance fleet. Kylo tells her that he saw who her parents were and that she was nothing to them and had no place in that particular story. he then clumsily adds “but not to me” and begs her to join him again. the two then fight over the legacy saber, only to have it explode and knock them both back.
passed out from both the blast of the saber and Holdo blasting through the ship, kylo awakens to find rey gone. heartbroken and furious at her supposed betrayal of his trust, he violently declares himself the new Supreme Leader and orders an attack on Crait.
on Crait, he shows that not only is he deeply impulsive, but also an ultimately poor leader. he’s fine until noticing the millenium falcon, then finally loses it in a fury of rage and heartbreak. Luke skywalker understands the irrational state his nephew is in, and takes advantage of his irrationality to aid the resistance. his fight with luke was simply a distraction and taunt, resulting in a massive tactical failure.
kneels in defeat while clutching his father’s lucky dice, only to be connected with rey one more time. she distainfully “shuts the door” on him, and he recoils sadly as the dice disappear.
PRE-TROS
featured in supplimental material as a ruthless leader, hellbent on finding the resistance and eliminating threats to the First Order.
is shown to take plenty of self-assigned solo missions, implying that he doesnt truthfully care about the governmental aspect of being supreme leader.
TROS
Begins the film on Mustafar, fighting a band of cultists dedicated to Darth Vader, taking the wayfinder they were protecting. in earlier drafts of the movie (as well as probable deleted scenes) Kylo then sees a character known as the Oracle on Mustafar, who cryptically tells him about Palpatine, Rey’s heritage, as well as his affection for rey that he attempts to deny.
he flies to Exogol, where he discovers that it was actually palpatine whos been manipulating him his entire life. threatens to kill palpatine but humors him as palpatine offers promises of utter domination if kylo could kill rey. naturally he has no intention of doing so.
Later connects with rey as she is training. its unclear if hes the one making the training droid react negatively to her or if hes simply observing her and attempting to catch her off-guard.
unites with the knights to rebuild his mask (for some reason).
informs the First Order officials he knows one of them is a spy (for some reason).
connects with rey as she’s on pasaana, taunting her and stealing her necklace in order to track her location.
arrives to pasaana and witnesses rey trying to drag a ship down. holds back the ship in order to see if she’d tap into the dark side to bring it down, which she does.
follows rey to kijimi as she boards his ship and steals the dagger he has. tells her the “true history” of her parentage while also stating that he’d never lie to her. they fight (him on defensive) and she destroys his room. they meet again in person, him unmasking to show hes being sincere in proposing to her again; saying they’re a dyad and they belong together. she denies, again, and flees.
meets her again on the Death Star, remarking that neither of them could return to the light since the pair of them are too far ingrained into the dark. He destroys the wayfinder she found, believing they’ll only get to Exogol together. they fight, again, with him on the defensive, again.
towards the end of their fight its clear that rey is exhausted, so he backs away and lowers his weapon. however, at this exact instance, Leia chooses to call out to him via the force. (it is unclear if she does this to distract him or if she does this because she knows she’s ill and wants to see him before she passes.) While he is distracted, rey grabs his saber and fatally stabs him. he collapses, feeling his mother’s death and the resignation that the woman hes in love with ended him. However, rey immediately regrets hurting him and uses the force to heal him. she confesses that had he been Ben rather than Kylo, she would’ve taken his hand.
While gazing out to sea alone, Kylo hears the voice of his father. He turns, and it met with a vision of Han. Han tells him to “come home” and that the light within Ben was always there. Han caresses his cheek like he did in TFA. Ben, crying, starts to say something but is so overcome with emotion that all he can manage is “dad.” Han smiles and says “i know,” a callback to his line to Leia in ESB.  With the forgiveness of his father and the newfound strength and motivation, ben throws his saber into the ocean, effectively cementing his persona Kylo Ren officially dead.
as rey is in danger on Exogol, Ben flies an abandoned TIE (inferably left in the Death Star wreckage) there and sprints, armed with only a blaster, and launches himself into danger to help rey.
their bond connects as she’s about to pledge to the sith and as the knights of ren are about to kill him. he wordlessly assures her that he’s there for her and that its ok to reveal that shes part of a dyad. she agrees, passing along her saber to him through their bond. Ben kills the Knights as rey kills the sith guardians.
the pair of them reunite, but only for palpatine to sap their life force, made more powerful due to them being a dyad. once significantly weakened, Palpatine launches Ben into a pit.
After defeating palpatine, rey dies. Ben manages to climb out of the pit and crawls over to rey, severely injured. he then embraces her lifeless body and cries for her, knowing then what he needs to do.
Ben heals rey with the force, bringing her back to life. Rey, elated to see him, cups his face as he cries and smiles feebly. she kisses him and caresses his face again, him smiling and chucking for the first time the entire series. At peace and healed by the redemptive power of being in love and having that person love him back in return.
he then immediately falls over dead and disappears into the force, thereby ruining all semblance of a skywalker legacy and redemption arc. FOR. SOME. REASON.

Ok but, how would kylo feel about a reader who practiced a religion (any religion). Like they always practice (weather that’s prayer or offerings or any other form of practice). How would he react?
If we are talking about ASTMHO, he just doesn’t care. Like he would probs support you, especially after you become Empress Ren. He may even try to understand it. [I didn’t mention religion, because I don’t know what people’s practices are and so I didn’t want to force that, so like if you celebrate something just sprinkle it in. I also tried to keep the “timeline” pretty ambiguous for a reason, so it might not interfere with a certain holiday.]
Canon Kylo isn’t so nice, you should check out that Age of Resistance comic on that one. But also, if you know anything about the expanded universe of Star Wars there are many cultures and religions, so he might try to teach you the ways of the Force as a ‘religion.’
As for any future works I have, he might force you to be a pagan, with him as an old god. But idk yet.
Religion itself is a tough cookie for me, I may have written the Priest!Kylo as a way to unpack some of my own Catholic upbringing trauma. Like kudos to people who write religious stuff in their fics, but I typically can’t do it.

‘aight i saw this movie finally (the pirated version, cuz i dont shill anymore) and
it was okay. chaotic and uncoordinated and clearly unplanned - i mean it reeks of “throw everything at the screen because we’re out of time” - but i enjoyed parts of it and i can see a good movie buried under all of this lost potential. in order to make TROS good, however, you’d have to rewrite the whole trilogy. you’d also have to rethink this world. i think the folks in charge committed a “prequels” error in thinking that the universe of star wars matters more than its characters. so you got all these kooky planets and alien species, and you’ve got side-quests and a dozen new characters/creatures, added without forethought or real stakes, just to show us how big the star wars playground is. whereas, going to a new location should be about the characters first, and the location second. lucas did the same in the prequels: crammed every frame with a million things because he had a thirst for his own universe, but at least he was passionate. disney is just calculated.
i do think this movie’s better than the prequels lol, it’s just that it could have been proper good if they didn’t try to appease the fans so much and play it safe. i’ve written about kylo/ben’s death in other posts and what i think about his character. as for rey “palpatine”, ehhh. in the context of the movie i give them points for trying their best to sell it, but it would have been far FAR more powerful if she really was nobody. if you wanted a compromise, she could’ve been palpatine’s experiment or a clone, and that would’ve made her “nobody”, while also his creation. but i would’ve preferred it if she really had nothing to do with all of this BS. because a) it’s obvious they didn’t plan rey palpatine from the start, and b) if they did, it was very poor storytelling. the palpatine reveal should’ve happened in the second movie so that rey could actually react to it, so that the conflict about her dark lineage could be explored in depth. TLJ!rey seemed at peace with finding out she’s nobody, like that was her closure. to retcon that in the 3rd movie just because some folks didn’t like TLJ is cowardly. if they really wanted to do rey palpatine, they should’ve committed to it. idk which reviewer mentioned smth about how rey’s past ultimately was more important for these people than rey herself. they invested so much in this “secret” that they kind of forgot about her as a person. i wish these movies weren’t just her running around, mouth agape, chasing this illusory secret. TFA!rey, before she got dragged into this legacy shit, was far more interesting. rey skywalker is also just...really weak. i get what they were going for thematically, but again, the stronger message would’ve been: “i’m rey. just rey”. earlier she gave the same answer to that little girl in “burning man” village, but feeling sort of ashamed about it. now at the end she should’ve said it proudly. “i’m rey, just rey, and that’s enough.” but what do i know. old lady sigh
i liked some of the action sequences and the indie “a new hope” vibe of the resistance. i didn’t like the side-trips and all the macguffins, kerri russel’s character was...really unnecessary, i’m sorry, janna was fine, at least she made more sense in the story. and rose was shafted because of racist assholes on the internet. OLD LADY SIGH.
i liked the reylo interactions and their saber fights (when she stabbed him with his own saber? noiiiiice), but i think it would’ve been cooler if they’d kissed during one of those fights, actually. the kiss at the end was nice...but as always with these two, it felt very kindergarten to me. i’ve complained elsewhere that they keep making them act like uwu shy space babies. i would’ve liked a hate/love kiss mid-battle and for them to pull back sort of shocked but unrepentant. a lot of their fights had that kind of UST and i think that’s where they should’ve capitalized on it. but i guess that’s too sexy for disney. OLD LADY SIGH. i would’ve preferred a more sober moment at the end, like touching foreheads as he dies or smth, because lol it was inadvertently funny how quickly he died after they kissed, the tonal dissonance was aaall over the place.
OH and finn/poe’s dynamic in this movie was weirdly belligerent and i didnt get it. maybe because these two didn’t get to spend enough time together in TFA or TLJ to set this up, but having them act like #married rebel veterans who’ve been together for years and resent each other was...weird. they jumped into this snippy, almost aggressive banter waaay too fast. i know folks think they should’ve let them be gay, and while i would not be opposed since they have a lot of chemistry....i...actually....maybe....ship finn with rey more.
yes folks, this movie actually made me ship finnrey more.
i think it’s the fact that they finally addressed force-sensitive finn, although they did it in a pretty lame fashion. but at least they did (there were many missed opportunities where finn could’ve acted on his force-sensitivity. that scene where rey and kylo both wrestle-levitate that ship in the sky...and finn just watches from the sidelines...instead of trying to control it too...OLD LADY SIGH). anyway, rey and finn’s connection within the force was subtle and i liked it. i liked the unspoken yearning between them that felt a bit more mature here than in previous films. the final 2019 twist is that i’m tentatively back on finnrey (2015 me also liked them but i quickly lost interest when finn was infantilized and then put into a coma...).
i DIDN’T like that finn/rose was totally forgotten (not a pair i ship but rose nearly died for him...wtf). and i also don’t think the finn/rey/poe trio works...as a trio. there was this painful scene towards the beginning of the movie where poe and rey started levelling playful insults at each other and it was awwwwfuuuuul. it felt like recycled marvel humor. and it got worse when it was the three of them bantering. they could have been a really fun trio if they had actually spent more time together in previous movies. here it felt really forced, sorry.
oh yeah, the chewie medallion scene...less painful than i thought it would be. chewie mourning leia, though? oooouch, i felt that. probably only really heartfelt moment in this movie (i’ve written elsewhere how i think the ben/han moment was robbed of its weight, though i can see why people love it).
in terms of comedy, though, hux’s death has to be number one.
anyway! glad this is over and done with. maybe now they’ll start telling star wars stories that don’t always involve the “empire” and the rebels or the fkin skywalkers. here’s to hoping.
and whew, thank god for fanfics

Below a cut/tagging for spoilers initial TROS things:
Here’s my brain dump. That wasn’t Into Darkness bad, not at all, and I thought it might be considering I saw the leaked image of Kyle Ron and Rey standing together with two blue sabers months ago. I’ve been dreading what that meant. And there are definitely problems. This film isn’t Endgame-type good for wrapping up a saga. Yet... this is my favorite Star Wars movie, I think? Right now it is, we’ll see if my opinion holds on multiple watches. Despite there being a few moments of this:
Tumblr media
And one particular moment of OH MY GOD THIS IS SO FUCKING GROSS MAKE IT FUCKING STOP. You know which moment!! Even if you reconnect with some light side of that man, Rey ol’ buckaroo, my gal, he has committed acts so evil, he has ended so many lives, you can’t fucking kiss him like even if you have compassion and empathy for the goodness that resides in him and for the man he once was and has found again. I LOVE Rey so much, so so much, for having those qualities but you need to have limits!! This has always been my problem!! Idk. I’m going to have to block that out for the rest of time, tbh. But I can then focus on why I love so many chunks of this movie: it’s Rey’s movie. Bulleted points:
Teaming everyone up worked for me, a lot. I loved that most everyone was together for long stretches of the film. I love the family they are.
Keri Russell must have shot for this movie for like... 2 weeks total, max, and I love her for it. I only wish Zorri and Poe would legit fuck and we could have a movie of their adventures.
Whoever edited this movie literally snorted a mountain of cocaine and then shoved another mountain of cocaine up their own ass. This movie was paced and edited horribly. And the writing either suffers because of it or has its own problems, idk. That was a TWO AND A HALF HOUR long line of Star Wars coke I just consumed. Like... I loved it, in a lot of ways, but also it makes this film so hard to fully absorb and certain plot points just don’t have the impact they should if within 5 minutes you’re onto another HUGE moment. If TROS were three hours long like Endgame in and the story had time to breathe I would have enjoyed it even more. It would have been more satisfying for other characters, other stories... it would have been something really special maybe, if it weren’t so fucking frantic.
Rey realizing her commitment to the light. REY TALKING TO LUKE AND REALIZING HER COMMITMENT TO THE LIGHT!!! MY TEARS!!! So many tears. Rey looking at his old X-Wing!! REY FLYING LUKE SKYWALKER’S X-WING LEADING THE RESISTANCE. Rey being spoken to, encouraged, given power by all the Jedi that came before her. “THESE ARE YOUR FINAL STEPS.” I DON’T EVEN CARE THAT “AND I... AM ALL THE JEDI” is Tony Stark-like I’m still so emotional I can’t even properly express it. And her GOLDEN REY OF SUNSHINE SABER!!!! REY SKYWALKER - not by blood, but by CHOICE. 😭😭😭 I’m crying again. I love REY SKYWALKER.
Rey’s goodness is a choice - one that is always a struggle, but always guided by her purest of hearts - her FRIENDSHIPS, her care for people, it leads her to the goodness in people, even one as awful as Kylo Ren. I just cannot EXPRESS MY LOVE FOR THIS CHARACTER ENOUGH.
Finn is FORCE SENSITIVE??? HELLO!!!! FINN IS FORCE SENSITIVE!!! WE NEED MORE INFORMATION. Will we EVER GET more information?? Maybe we will in the LITERALLY telegraphed spin off with Jannah lol.
I don’t love that she seemed willing to relent to the Emperor to save the Resistance but I know she was doing it because of her love, and her heart - she was being taken advantage of because of her capcity for empathy. Plus, I’m not sure if I buy that the Emperor ever intended for that to really happen, seeing as how he was able to resurrect so much of his life force just by draining from Rey and Kylo and leap right into “I’LL ALWAYS BE THE EMPEROR” bullshit.
Rey defeated ALL THE SITH by PROTECTING HERSELF and all her friends, her family, the galaxy, not by lashing out, not reacting in anger but by turning the evil of Palpatine around on his own dumbass. GOD.
The humor and banter between everyone was wonderful, this kinda goes along with “teaming everyone up” but I loved that. Even as messy and rushed as some of it felt, a lot of it worked for me.
God I hated the kiss. I hated that she force healed him lol I fist pumped and almost jumped out of my seat when she got ‘em.
We got so much more Leia than I expected and only a small bit of the effects they used to get her in the film that much felt off. I loved that she got to be such a significant part of the story.
CHEWIE GOT HIS MEDAL!!!

I know your anti-HP but the Kylo discourse reminds me of that time a group of people tried to argue to me that if I thought Snape didnt deserve redemption then Dudley (a child that was raised in an abusive/neglectful household, was raised to believe/act in certain things/ways, grew up to realise his parents were wrong and started to attempt to make changes to his behaviour and be nicer) didnt deserve it either. Characters that show regret and remorse deserve a chance at redemption. Others dont.
... anon, idk if I understood the last two things right (i mean if it’s what you think or what the ppl discoursing with you think), but as far as I’m concerned, distancing myself from any hp related implication here because idk idc and if I never hear snape discourse in my life again it can’t be too late so idc about this specific discourse, tldr:
irl people who fucked up and want to do better should be given a chance to. not necessarily by the people they hurt and if they committed a crime they should pay appropriately before, but if they want to? they should have the chance. not being written off as lost causes;
people who aren’t Good Victims ™️ shouldn’t be refused help or compassion just because they don’t react the way they were supposed to;
this thing about whether redemption is deserved or not is a wording that is... weird because like, you get that if you want to do better but like it’s not a question of deserving or not, you don’t do better out of wanting to get the good place points, you just do it and if you do then welcome to the club;
narratively, obviously it depends on author decision - if the author wants X redeemed then they will be and it most likely will have a narrative where X feels remorse for his actions or has a chance to make up for his wrongdoings, if the author wants Y to just be a negative character who doesn’t redeem themselves then Y won’t have that narrative;
now, I think people should be objective about things, in the sense: you can like a character that the narrative had decided is not redeemable or is written as such (let’s go for someone that won’t cause me drama, idk, RAMSAY BOLTON): you can write your fanfic about how that person gets redeemed if you want to, but if you tell people they’re idiots for not wanting ramsay to be redeemed you’re not going to look that great because 99,9% of the audience won’t want ramsay to be redeemed as he’s not written as such. on the other side, if you hate a character (kylo ren FOR ONE) who is blatantly written to be redeemed because he was and it was obvious since tlj at least, you can write your fic or do your hc where he never redeems himself but saying that he’s the worst objectively or that kylo fans suck because they like a horrid character that you don’t want redeemed is useless and just digging yourself into a grave because canon is going there and you can’t do shit about it. like, if you don’t enjoy where canon is going you’re better off making peace with it and writing your au instead of being an ass to people who disagree with you;
now this also goes with the ‘please for the love of god look at the narrative’ angle because honestly denying what the narrative is blatantly telling is not paying anyone any favors and again, you can 100% choose to ignore it but twisting it won’t work (example: I don’t gaf about jon/erys and I wasn’t too big on its canonization but the moment it happened I didn’t spend months twisting the narrative so that it would say what I wanted it to say ie that jon/erys was doomed - it was canon, I just didn’t write it in fanfic nor thought about it beyond what I had to see and ignored its existence when I could and I didn’t go to ppl shipping jon/erys informing them of why I thought S7 was written like trash - why would I?). you can do whatever you want with the characters but like try to keep a healthy divide between what the narrative says and what you want for them and be an adult about it.
now: i haven’t read hp and idc for reading it nor watching the movies but if both s/nape and the kid in question were written to be redeemed because she wanted them to then they were because it was her story and she wanted them to be and idg why people are still arguing about that twenty years later but that’s another problem entirely. if person X doesn’t think kylo ren deserved redemption too bad the narrative had decided he was getting that since the beginning and it’s not about whether he deserves it or not, it’s about what the story is saying. as far as I’m concerned as long as you want to be a good person/better person/do good things in life you should be given a chance to prove it. in literature it’s up to the author. but like one thing is what you want for the character and what the author wants and how the author writes it bc if they’re good it will leave readers satisfied or at least not feeling like they were taken for idiots, if they’re not it’s going to be bad writing. that’s literally it. and I wish this redemption discourse didn’t feel like we think you buy it at the supermarket and/or there are standards for it and if you don’t meet them then whatever.
also: you can hate a thing and recognize it’s well written. like guys ian tregillis’s milkweed tryptich had a last book that took each single choice I didn’t want it to take and I hated what happened to all of the characters......... but that trilogy was actually so well-plotted, tight-knit and well thought and thematically sound that even if I hated everything it chose to be I still can recognize that it was good writing because it made sense, the plot held up and my personal dislike for it and for the protagonist as a person didn’t make it a bad book. or you can like a thing and recognize it’s terribly written or trash or a guilty pleasure. it happens. it’s fine. and when it comes to kylo discourse... it was an obvious redemption narrative with a character that was written to be sympathetic which resonated with some people and not with others which was eventually written badly because it didn’t pay off and 85% of this movie was an insult to the viewer. that’s literally it. and it’s 2019. like... it’s time to let it die especially when he redeemed himself. XD

my first round of thoughts on tros ( spit bubbles of thought as i cling to 3 hours of sleep to write this before i head into work )
film wise: the opening scenes really rocked my shit; probably some of my favorite shots throughout the entire film just because of how attention grabbing they were. kylo ren at Peak Power just popping off ( his piloting abilities...... we’ll talk more about that later ) & poe dameron expertly lightspeed jumping with the falcon? an entertaining beginning! i was blessed with being able to see it in imax & i found the entire work visually beautiful for sure, many scenes leaving me wanting to see more of each new world. the cgi for carrie was better than i expected ( both young & elderly ), & i felt honored her well. lots of lovely shots of her daughter too.
throughout the rest movie, i found the pacing shifted into FAST MODE, the story feeling a bit rushed; kinda like they tried to fit two movies worth of content into a couple action packed hours. the ending wrapped up so quickly i feel like i didn’t exactly get an opportunity to say goodbye to all of these characters that i’ve loved so much so that felt like a bit of a bummer. the soundtrack was beautiful but i’m not ready to listen to it yet.....
the content: ......i’m so devastated over ben not making it, this character i’ve loved for several years, BUT i did call it back when tfa came out that the only way he could be brought peace would have to be through death. star wars is about sacrifice and honor and redemption and i always had a feeling it was going to happen, but it doesn’t hurt any less knowing that i was right.
kylo ren barely hanging on by a thread after killing his father, but being unable to stand it & nearly loses the war & his life over the feeling of his mother passing? kylo ren wanting to go home & never feeling like he could? the memory of han in kylo’s mind helping free ben? ben solo sacrificing himself like his father....and mother.....and uncle....and grandfather? what a family. i’ve always been very soft for the organa-solos.... i wish ben could have seen leia one last time :((((
“dad....” “i know.” ( like mother.... like father.... like son.... )
hux being the spy was like something someone pulled out of ao3 and slapped a trademark sticker on it just for the sake of convenience for our heroes. there’s already enough ‘is it right or is it wrong’ about redeeming ben solo in the first place after all of his monstrosities, but i’d like to think there’s enough evidence to concur that there’s more meat to ben’s backstory that was fueled by manipulation by the emperor...... hux let their most valuable hostages leave the ship because he’s in a dick measuring match with kylo? something he knew would potentially get him killed, & did? idk seemed quick with no prompting prior to think he would ever aid the resistance in any way, shape or form. his death was terribly executed ( pun intended ).
the knights of ren deserved more screen time than what they got, & as someone who loves all my kor ocs, i’m here to hold you close & never let you go. i loved every single shot i got to see of them, among the few. i felt very let down by their lack of..... doing anything except existing i guess. running errands for kylo..... standing behind him as a lil creature fixes his mask..... not saying or doing anything & then going belly up when ben gets his hands on a saber........ i’m sorry but very underwhelming for something so hyped up for so long! i hope that the star wars creative department releases more comics of them or something, & until then, i’m collecting knights.
rose tico got scrubbed out & left behind. finn had little to no development & thats truly one of the most unforgivable parts. it felt like they opened several doors for exploring these character & ended up forgetting to close them. i loved jannah with my whole heart but she ALSO DESERVED MORE SCREENTIME.
haha jj abrams gay ally puts two hot girls kissing in his movie for .5 seconds & prayed that would patch up the lack of representation everywhere else..... haha jj abrams gay ally makes a female character in a tight suit with NO FACE just for poe dameron to continually hit on to remind everyone he’s straight for a weird segment of the movie with no context to who she is or their past or nothing. just ;) they had sex once & he’d do it again aha ;)
thats all im going to say about that.
now..... on the topic of shipping: as someone who does ship reylo ( my soulbond uwus ), but really wanted finnrey to happen ( my softest uwus ), and if that couldn’t i was like “that cool they’ll just make finnpoe canon” ( god fucking damn it jj.... ), i feel like ive taken the fattest L.
but enough bitching! i have to go to work & i still have so much more to say but i’ll end this with: kylo in the tie silencer headed to exegol in the first scene made my mom smack me bc i gasped out loud. i just love to see him flying, & with such precision & brute force! such a contrast to how we see poe & rey pilot their respective ships throughout the rest of the movie.
also the choreography for each saber sequence was exhilarating & fun to watch. i love that they stayed true to how each character reacts & fights in battle.
p.s. ben planned on taking the emperor on with..... a blaster after he fucking YEETS his best weapon into the ocean, for the drama of it? that’s the most solo/skywalker thing i’ve ever seen in his arc yet & i lost my shit in a quiet, teary eyed theater.

Okay, here were my thoughts, just, very disorganized and a bit emotional, but immediate thoughts
I think it’s really apparent that the sequel trilogy had very little coherent upper management direction. The problem comes from the top. They weren’t focused so much on story or character as they were fan service, and that strings through all 3 movies. We know from the beginning that JJ talked about how they wanted to use Luke in TFA, but he was too powerful and kept overshadowing everything. So they wrote his scenes as they did for this external reason, and wrapped the story around that. And that’s a mistake. It doesn’t grow organically from “okay what did these characters actually do next?”
How does Luke process his father’s redemption and death? And what is his purpose now?
How does Leia process this news that Luke is her brother and Vader was her father?
How do they both process their mother’s legacy?
I will not stand for this Padme erasure like she means nothing in this bloodline
Like Shmi means nothing
Mothers, apparently, mean nothing in this series!
And the idea that Palpatine and Snoke were able to exert their will on a person in another part of the galaxy through the Force, and that the Force essence of Anakin Skywalker was just let that happen?
That Luke and Leia wouldn’t figure out a way to address this before it got to the moment that canon claims it did?
For Force sake people, someone please acknowledge the existence of t h e r a p y
I mean, Mothma did
Sorry, I’ve derailed and I’m not really talking about The Rise of Skywalker.
At any rate. Lando is cool. Threepio, the galaxy does not deserve you and I’m sorry you always have to be the butt of everyone’s jokes. I will headcanon that the tension between Poe and Rey is because they both love Finn, but by the end of the movie the trio is All Good.
I liked the scene with the serpent, it was reminiscent of Ezra, so that was cool.
Where is Ezra?
I don’t understand how the Death Star stayed so well intact after that explosion. Like, that’s something that troubled me about the trailers, and still bothers me.
Jannah was cool but per usual we didn’t really get much of her.
I thought it was a shame that Rose’s part was diminished. Look, I didn’t like what they gave her in TLJ, but they could have remedied that by giving her a cool part. Why couldn’t she have gone with them? IDK.
Chewie collapsing when Leia passed GUTTED ME
But not as much as Rey burying Luke & Leia’s sabers at the Lars homestead and their Force Ghosts showing up and REY SKYWALKER
I did love the flashback of Luke training Leia
And I love that Leia trained Rey! i loved that!
Rey, Finn, Poe, they all continue to be compelling characters, even if we don’t know that much about them, the actors have great chemistry and I think that gets a little under utilized, but the actors make the most of their scenes together.
I didn’t see the ghost and that made me sad
OKAY finally. so. I did appreciate that all the Jedi kind of lived through Rey and I loved hearing all their voices -- namely I heard Kanan and Anakin and it was GREAT -- but I’m also like... so wait are they really all... gone?
I refused to believe that Ahsoka is gone
And Ezra
It’s just. It’s really reductive that they just seemed to have killed everyone. Again, I think it’s apparent that they really just wanted to write an OT era film, but they wanted to cast Mark Hamill, Carrie Fischer, and Harrison Ford, and so.... they just hit the reset button on the galaxy and I think that’s too much. They didn’t think deeply enough about the actual state of the galaxy before they pushed out TFA, and it really shows. I think too many big decisions were left up to the directors when Lucasfilm really needed to take responsibility and accountability for that.
I’ll say this. I do buy the Palpatine stuff. That dude is evil and powerful enough, I believe it. Oh, and they did a great job on lighting him. And his face. It reminded me of how they animated him in Rebels, and I dug it. EDITED: okay let me make clear. I don’t buy the REY Palpatine stuff. (Guys, we SAW how fandom reacted to the whole Voldemort had a daughter thing. Why did you think this was a good idea?) I’m saying, I could believe he clung to life somehow.
Oh, yes. and most importantly. FOREVER MIFFED that we never got Mara Jade. That’s a huge, huge whiff on Lucasfilm’s part. I can’t even.
PS one more things. R2 and 3PO are not best friends they are married get it right
Oh and PPS I never ever ever will care about Kylo Ren. Like. As Kylo he just creeps me out a lot. The way he talks to Rey is so incredibly cringy, it’s very squick for me. Han and Leia deserved better. Would have raised better. By that I mean if he really struggled with the Dark Side they would have handled it better. and helped him better. it’s just. it’s like how people say. If your conflict is because people just aren’t talking .... it’s a bit contrived, isn’t it?

rotj: my thoughts
positives and negatives. spoilers ahead
so, i wasn’t gonna write one of these but i felt i needed to get some stuff off my chest so i can move on. i was just gonna pretend this movie didn’t happen but i think i can come to eventually accept that it did now that i’ve had time to digest everything.
POSITIVES:
- honestly... from my first viewing there isn’t a lot i like. but i’m sure this will improve the more i watch the film and actually have the chance to form an opinion on more things within such a hectic onslaught of information. - i laughed. c3po and that little fixer dude were genuinely funny (to me). dio (sp?) was super cute too. tbh i never cared much for droids (my obi-wan is coming thru here) but i actually enjoyed them so that’s a win for me - very pretty film. visually spectacular.  - fast-paced. not boring for a second (to me). kept me entertained. - rey’s yellow lightsaber. i actually liked this even tho it doesn’t match up with current canon (yellow being for temple guards). it reminded me of bastila and i was just waiting for her to show it off as a double-sided saber... which i didn’t get but it still looked like it was built for it so i’ll take the win. - the idea of palpatine being powerful again but it would have been cool to see a younger version of himself - rey and ben teaming up and the intimate moment they shared which felt genuinely beautiful and was one of the highlights for me
now here’s the ISSUES i have off the top of my head, some of them having been mentioned on this blog before:
- the trio. everyone else has already said it. forced and uncomfortable. it felt like they were setting up a love triangle for the first half of the movie as well, which was weird. when they had poe and rey have those ‘moments’ or when they bickered with each other i was like ‘they better not be tryna spring up some hanleia dynamic on us for the last film between these two’ especially while also baiting finnrey (which is never touched upon again after the first half of the movie, yikes)
- towards the end of the film, i turned to the person next to me and said “this reminds me of a video game plot” - i couldn’t pinpoint exactly why that was, but it was just a feeling. and not a deep, thorough video game plot either. another reviewer said something similar. it’s just... very shallow, expository and it feels like it’s dragging you and the characters through very railroaded and forced missions/battles. i mean at the start they’re really just looking for something, going to someone, that person says they need to talk to someone else for the thing, they go to another person, etc. which is a type of mission device used in games as well. it also felt to me like one of those japanese otome games where rey is the bland female character that all the male characters fall for (poe, finn, kylo) and she gets her pick of which one she wants to romance, which was cringe.
- i didn’t hear the characters. i only heard what they were forcing the characters to say in order to progress the plot or explain the plot. the characters themselves became faceless inserts for exposition. so many times i heard a character say something and thought... that was a jarring piece of dialogue that seems both out of character and unnatural to say at that point in time.
- although i said being fast-paced could be a positive, it was largely a negative for me. at one point it felt like slide transitions were happening at minute intervals. a major plot point would be revealed and then no time is given to process, it’s onto the next major scene. this left everything feeling very rushed and messy, which i believe is due to half the film being cut for time constraints.
- each character is either twisted into an unrecognisable character, or ignored/not given the time they deserve. rey? blank slate female protag with a famous bloodline and who barely reacts to the things going on around her (leia dying, ben dying, she disregards her ‘friends’ on multiple occasions). like others, i always defended rey’s abilities, but this film is too much. she has been made a mary sue. finn? rendered nothing but the ‘friend’ pining after a girl and only briefly gets time with his own story which is never fully explored in this film by any means. poe? turned into a grumpy, seemingly jealous ‘friend’ with a shady past that felt like they were trying to make him the ‘han solo’ of the trio rather than going with what we already know about his character. leia? now this is hard, and i respect what they tried to do, but i still felt like her death could have been done a bit better rather than the quick ‘shock’ moment it was. also the stuff with luke training her is a no for me. way too shoe-horned and part of what made leia cool to me was that she was a skywalker but didn’t need to be a jedi. her powers were elsewhere. kylo? don’t get me started. rose? who? she may as well not have been in this movie with the way they ignored her character and showed how little the other characters care about her. it broke my heart.
- rey palpatine? though i’m a rey kenobi fan, i was happy with rey nobody. i liked what it stood for. i didn’t mind the idea of rey palpatine in theory, but the way they force-fed this to us in the film rather than building it up left a bad taste in my mouth and i’m going to have to pass on it. if they wanted to have her related to palpatine, they should have just made her a clone imo. it would have matched with what was being built up prior (in tlj with the clones in the cave), it would have explained her ties to the dark side, it would have completed the palpatine/skywalker poetry, and it would have still been congruent with her being a ‘nobody’ since that’s essentially what clones are seen as in star wars. also we wouldn’t have to think about the fact palpatine got laid. laboratories were already set up in jakku by palpatine. cloning itself was shown in rots anyway (snoke) so?
- although i’ve wanted ben to be redeemed... it still felt too rushed in this film. also, he does display some toxic tendencies as kylo ren towards rey (trying to manipulate her to go with him) which didn’t sit well with me but i didn’t really see ben/kylo ren in his scenes sometimes anyway, since he was also forcibly used to give exposition to us/rey. i did like his scene with his mother and father in the film but i just needed more than that to really feel his redemption rather than the quick switch we got.
- i originally wasn’t okay with the whole ‘bringing someone back to life through the force’ thing since i always liked the idea palpatine was just saying that to honeypot anakin, but decided i’m willing to accept it as a unique ability they had for each other due to their force bond. but then... ben dies anyway. and it’s done in such a way that leaves you feeling ‘wtf just happened?’. it was random, forced, didn’t feel necessary and it just... happened. no one reacted to it. he wasn’t referred to or mentioned after this. the last skywalker goes out just like that. poof. okay. so was this a shock death or was jj genuinely trying to appease people who didn’t think ben deserved redemption or to live? either way ben lived such a sad, cruel, manipulated life that his death seemed unfair and we’re all supposed to think this movie is hopeful and celebrate a few minutes later? i don’t think so. in fact, everything that happens after that scene feels incredibly uncomfortable because of the massive tonal shift.
- the kiss. ok don’t hate me. i enjoy reylo. but i honestly think the kiss wasn’t exactly... needed? maybe it was just because everything else felt so forced but it felt a little forced in this scene for me. for me, the hug ben gave rey just beforehand spoke more volumes of their intimacy. i did mention their intimate moments above as a positive, so i still like this overall moment (in addition to the moment rey heals him). but the hug spoke enough to me that it would have been nice to keep it more subtle yet obvious enough (thanks to their acting) that they cared deeply for one another. but then again, this is what i felt before i knew ben died, so. idk. i guess it would suck for ben to die without having kissed rey? how about just don’t kill ben off. have them hug instead of kiss and then leave us to fill in the gaps as they both live. how about that.
- the rey skywalker thing is embarrassing. and rey ended up alone in the desert... just how she started. i just can’t. by the time this came on the screen i was ready to leave. i only stayed because i HOPED there would be an after credits showing her on the falcon, or her training finn to be a jedi, or her speaking with any of the force ghosts (luke or ben or anakin).
- speaking of which. why were there no force ghosts in the scene where she fights palpatine? we just get voices? that scene really lacked impact and the whole fight sequence just felt blah. palpatine came back super strong and then he was gone in moments. there should have a) been force ghosts or some kind of visual presence of the jedi to help rey whether physically or just boosting morale and b) ben should have fought palpatine with her.
- why is rey alone in the desert? i honestly didn’t think this meant she was going to be a hermit until i came online and saw that’s what everyone else thought. but just... why? why is she not passing on the jedi ways she fought to keep alive? or the knowledge she has gained/kept in the sacred jedi texts she stole? surely not. surely that is her plan. surely ben saved her not just because he loved her but also because she can carry on the skywalker legacy NOT by dying alone in a desert but by training new jedi. (which, again, SHOULD HAVE BEEN FINN AS THE FIRST NEW JEDI!) or better yet, a new type of jedi that don’t follow toxic ways but that incorporate both the light and dark side of the force like she does? and calling THEM skywalkers? but nope. instead she ended up back where she started. except with less personality this time.
- i can’t talk enough about how cool it would have been to have jedi!finn at the end. talk about coming full circle from the promo baits they had for TFA of finn with the lightsaber. AT LEAST GIVE US THIS.
- the whole movie just felt like a massive disrespect to the previous film. everything rian built was trampled on, retconned or ignored. say what you want about tlj and rian, but this is what happens when you ignore or try to retcon the preceding film whether you like it or not. everything feels messy and the plots get screwed up. this movie would have been largely different (better) had they not tried so hard to pretend tlj didn’t exist. even if you didn’t like it, take the plot and mould it into something you do like. don’t just toss it aside and lose all sense of continuity between the films. i don’t blame jj for this exactly, but rather the disney committee that were too afraid to acknowledge tlj’s existence due to the reception it got from fans and thus felt the need to have jj ‘fix/retcon’ things rather than build upon/improve things.
- oh yeah hux. that happened, i guess. i thought it was weird and it kinda sucked that they did that. who cares about the new guy? general pride or whatever? no one. surely making general hux more menacing couldn’t have been THAT hard. but no. we get a rather silly death instead. alright. at least he can forever be known as the petty king of star wars.
- there’s probably more. i could write an essay but i’m getting tired of complaining already so i’m leaving it here. if you happened to read this far and want to talk about it with me some more, my DMs are open!
overall, i just hope some canon content is going to be released, either in the form of a book or a comic, that explores more of this following the movie. i want to know more about finn’s story. i want to see whether rey does stay on tatooine or whether she trains jedi. i want to see whether she communicates with ben through the force, or just, y’know, any closure on that would be nice. i want to see the director’s cut with the other half of the movie. then, perhaps, i will know peace.

EPISODE IX PREDICTIONS, HOPES, & DISCUSSION
This is a deep dive into the thoughts and questions I’ve been accumulating in regards to what might happen in Episode IX. (Sorry, it’s quite a long post).
Tumblr media
My character predictions:
KYLO/BEN: My beautiful boy Ben is going to get redemption first and foremost. FACT. I’m so excited to see how it will go down though, so many possibilities. What’s going to be that final catalyst for Ben to finally stop resisting the Light? When we left Kylo/Ben in TLJ he had gained all the power he once sought, and yet he was utterly miserable. But, importantly Luke showing up on Crait offered Kylo that critical cathartic release he needs for the next step in his redemption journey. Looking back, TFA started with Kylo ordering a village massacre, and finished with him killing his father. We see progress in TLJ, as the act of committing patricide has been eating Kylo/Ben alive with regret and guilt, he then later cannot kill his mother, and instead he kills his tormentor, Snoke, to save Rey. So following this pattern of reversal, I predict in IX he’ll selflessly save a large group of people (the direct opposite of the original village massacre). It’s going to be so interesting to see how will he go with being The Supreme Leader of The First Order, as the evidence shows his ideology doesn’t really align with the Order. I feel like he’ll simply keep using The First Order for the sole purpose of destroying his mother’s Resistance, in a fruitless attempt to ‘kill his past’. Ultimately though, this story is about achieving balance between the Light and the Dark, not just in the force or the galaxy but also in oneself. Ben will need to accept the Light and the Dark sides in himself, and will have to come to this conclusion completely via his own initiative. Han (via Leia’s push), Luke, and Rey have all tried to convince him to the Light so far, to no avail.
REY: Strong Rey has been through a hell of a lot with Kylo/Ben in both films, and Luke in TLJ. She’s had to face her deepest fear that she’s ‘nobody’ and that her parents ‘aren’t coming back for her’. But despite this she has actually found belonging and empowerment along the way. Her self identity is in fact stronger than ever now (while Kylo/Ben is the opposite, he’s still having an identity crisis). I predict that in IX, Rey will be just as fearless and resilient as ever, but also more mature, less naive. Her relationship with the Resistance is interesting because in TFA Finn was lying to her about him belonging to the Resistance, so she was never actively apart of it, and then she was kidnapped by Kylo. Similarly, she sought Luke out for Leia (and the Resistance) in TLJ, but this was mostly a personal journey she undertook. She pursued turning Kylo/Ben to the Light, ‘for the Resistance’s sake’, but it was ultimately for her own sake. So I think that she might not completely feel like she belongs in the Resistance. It’s a sure thing, that she’ll still try to help them out how she can, but I predict it’ll once again be on her own ‘force’ related solo mission (because this fits her film narrative formula). This may be how she crosses paths with Kylo again? Also related to the Resistance, I have this gut feeling that she may clash heads with Poe over his decision making (IDK why, I just do). In terms of other predictions, it seems to be a given that she’ll repair the legacy Skywalker lightsaber, this is what Rey has done her whole life, salvage and repair. In regards to Ben, she’s learnt her lesson, and I truly believe she hasn’t given up on him, she just now knows that it has to be HIS decision to join the Light Side, she can’t ask him again – it won’t work. Like the TLJ novel states, she’s good at waiting, so deep down she’ll be waiting for him to eventually make the right decision. Also another prediction for Rey, is that the arm scar she got during the Throne Room fight will feature prominently in at least one on screen moment. I imagine it will go something like, she’s getting ready putting her satchel on etc, and looks down at her arm and remembers Ben/Kylo and that epic moment they fought together. Now Rey has a scar to remember him, and he too has one to remember her. ~swoons~ The recent costume leak (re: arm band) seem to support this scar’s significance further, but I initially thought that the scar would be important because LF chose to feature it on the damn TLJ poster.
THE WAR/THE BALANCE: This is the final film in the sequel trilogy, and this series is called “Star Wars” so I’m predicting more war, duh. However, we’ve already seen the Light side win over the Dark in the original trilogy, but it didn’t work – the Dark still rose back up. That’s why, this time round something’s got to be different. The Resistance can’t just defeat The First Order, I don’t think that’s going to cut it. TLJ expressed the nuisances of war, with the Resistance bombers and members dying, and also the large First Order crew who would’ve died on the dreadnaught. It really stuck with me what DJ said to Finn, “They blow you up today, you can blow them up tomorrow”. Maybe this wasn’t a precursor for IX, and was just Rian being Rian. But I still predict that Rey and Ben will team up again in this movie, but stay together this time, and they will initiate something like a ceasefire between the two sides, ending the vicious endless cycle of war that has plagued the galaxy for decades now. Ben and Rey are ‘the chosen one’ who will finally bring balance to the Force. It will be very interesting to see how this balance will be portrayed in a larger galactic scale.
FINN: Don’t get me wrong, I love my boy Finn, but to be honest on paper he is quite a one dimension character in regards to how he’s treated in these films. LF could’ve focused on his traumatic upbringing in The First Order and his emotions towards his ex-fellow troopers. Instead they have brushed past it, having Finn gunning down Storm Troopers with no second thought. (I guess they have the traumatic childhoods of Rey and Kylo to focus on instead). So the only prediction I have for him is that he will truly earn the title of ‘Resistance Hero’ in IX. Because in both the TFA and TLJ, he either left or tried leaving to save himself or save Rey, but by the end of TLJ he was finally committed to fighting for the Resistance’s cause (due largely to Rose’s influence).
POE: Poe was originally supposed to die in TFA, and in that movie he was really just a pilot (‘the best one in the Resistance’ though). In TLJ, he was still a pilot, but also shown to be cocky and impulsive, so the aim of TLJ was to teach him how to become a better leader, like Leia etc. So no doubt, in IX he’ll be making much better leadership calls, and assessing the risks more wisely. HOWEVER, it has been pointed out before how Poe, somewhat corrupts Holdo’s line of “We are the spark that will ignite the fire that will restore the Republic”, into “We are the spark that will light the fire that will burn the First Order down” this leads me to the juicy personal prediction (that probably won’t happen but...) maybe Poe in IX will turn into a ‘Coin’ like character, from the Hunger Games. Where Poe makes some very destructive calls, because he takes the war waaaay too far. I’m imagining this being Poe vs Hux, and it just keeps escalating and escalating in bloodshed. Hey, like I said, this probably won’t eventuate.
HUX: It seems obvious at this point that Hux is going to fail spectacularly again, for the third and final time. In TFA, his precious Starkiller Base was blown up. In TLJ, a dreadnought was destroyed under his watch, and then he lost his chance to become Supreme Leader as quickly as the opportunity arose. I predict that once he’s surrendered he’ll either sit there hilariously glaring everyone down, or pull the weasel move and beg/plead for his life. Regardless, it’ll be entertaining. Some might think that Hux is a serious military threat, and maybe in this film he might finally rise to the occasion. But throughout TLJ in particular, he was a laughing stock, and being completely honest Hux poses no serious threat to Kylo Ren. Kylo could end Hux’s life with the force or his saber, or both, within a mere second. WATCH YA BACK HUX. In all seriousness though, Hux will probably take every opportunity to undermine Kylo’s leadership – I know that. Man, do love their hate-hate colleague working relationship.
Tumblr media
I’m looking forward to:
More Reylo scenes – need I say more?
More Force Bond sessions, because we damn well know it ain’t gone
Seeing Kylo Ren The Supreme Leader, acting as such, sitting in his throne, and ya know just generally running The First Order (eeeeep!)
Simply seeing more Kylo scenes in general, because let's be real, Kylo/Rey/Finn are the true trio, and this is the final movie so this is our chance to finally see more of his POV. This will also be crucial to the redemption story too, as the general audience will probably need a lot more information about him to be onboard for his redemption
My favourite comedy duo Poe and Finn will be back together again at last! I cannot wait for the new banter and shenanigans with these two
John Williams’ amazing final SW score
All the new costumes/hair styles (It’s very wishful thinking but I would low-key love if the characters changed costumes at Padmé's rate)
I know the sequel trilogy hasn’t had the largest scale of cityscape world-building, but ya never know!
I’m one of those people that fell in love with the Knights of Ren during that brief rainy flashback in TFA, so hopefully they make an appearance, after all what’s a ‘Master’ of Ren without those he masters?
Tumblr media
I’m curious to see:
What kind of leader will Kylo be of the First Order? And how is his leadership in general is tracking, is it threatened (i.e. Hux)?
How will Finn and the rest of the Resistance react to Rey being a ‘Jedi’? in TFA everyone except Kylo (and the FO, I guess) were ignorant to the fact that Rey was Force Sensitive. Obviously the resistance noticed Rey force lifting rocks at the end of TLJ, so now they’re all in the loop. Will Finn think she’s ‘changed’? (This is specifically discussed by Finn and Rose in the TLJ novel actually)
Similarly, how will the resistance react to Rey being connection to Kylo, both emotionally and via the force? (They are undeniably connected now thanks to TLJ). How will they react if they ever find out about the Throne Room? ~This is so juicy to consider~
How romantic will Reylo actually be on screen? Will there be an epic kiss? (God, I hope so)
Will Leia survive this trilogy? Han and Luke haven’t, so there’s that...
Will we get the “return to mother” moment (re: reverse Anidala), of Kylo and Leia? If she doesn’t die, this seems like a no brainer
Will the Jedi teachings (the ancient texts) even be a big deal in IX? Luke wasn’t their biggest fan after all. What opinion will Rey take?
What role will Rose play within the resistance this time round? I think it’s going be more prominent; e.g. she’ll be at the decisions making table alongside Poe, Finn, and Leia
Will there be any tie-back to the ‘original’ chosen one, Anakin, to bring this story full circle? Anakin was supposed to ‘bring balance to the Force’ after-all (even though we know Ben and Rey are going to do this)
If the KoR are in IX, will they be Kylo’s blindly pledged allies, and then during his redemption journey will they turn into foes?
With Snoke, the ‘man behind the curtain’ puppeteer style villain being gone, does there need to be a new threat/villain? Is there room for that in the story this late in the game?
Will there be more Force Ghosts in IX, now that Yoda has set a precedent by appearing in TLJ?
If/when Rey and Ben team up again, how will this be possible this time round with Kylo being Supreme Leader of The First Order? Will he chose to leave the Order, or be forced to leave early on in the film?
With Rey and Ben united, will we see some new awesome powerful Force moments? Like how Leia rescued herself in TLJ, or how Kylo froze Poe’s blaster fire, or hell, how Force Ghost Yoda conducted lighting?!
