ok so i’m seeing a lotta angsty tdb headcanons going around (don’t get me wrong i LOVE them and theyre all literally sosoSO good) but i wanna lighten the mood a bit so im just gonna share some silly/lighthearted hcs i have !! (in no particular order ofc)

- One night when Sho went to the campus store to look for some ingredients he ran into Kaito there, who was ALSO buying some cooking supplies! That’s how he learned that Kaito knows how to bake, and he’s been getting some really good recipes from him ever since! (no Kaito doesn’t know that Sho basically thought he was a cringe loser before 😭)

- Jin suffers from chronic migraines, and that’s the real reason he sound proofed his room, but no one else needs to know that. i mostly have this hc bc i also suffer fron migraines and i wanted to share my pain with one of the ghouls lmao

- Haku is actually really into fashion/styling, but not in the same way as Romeo or Leo are. he likes to go to thrift stores and buy vintage clothes, and he even has a finsta where he posts his outfits! it’s really lowkey and he keeps his face hidden, but he has a pretty decent following on it!

- Towa LOVES bamboo. it’s like one of his favorite plants to snack on! He’s asked Haru to get some for the park but 1) they don’t currently have any anomalous animals that need it and 2) importing bamboo stalks is expensive :(

- Jiro has been told countless times by multiple different people that he has a great voice for asmr. a part of him really wants to try it out, as it’d be another way to help people, but his workload is heavy and keeps him busy. he also thinks that Yuri would find it silly and disapprove of it, so he keeps this little dream to himself

- Sometimes, when Haru is busy with his indoor chores, he lets Peekaboo watch Bluey! And if he has free time he’ll watch it with them lol!! He’ll never admit it to anyone but he secretly looks up to Bandit pfft

- Ritsu has fidget spinners and other stim toys that he uses whenever he studies. it helps him stay focused and even keeps him from getting stressed out whenever he has to deal with his captain and vice captain lmao. he keeps this a secret though bc he thinks taiga and romeo would make fun of him for it (they wouldn’t)

- Tohma is actually allergic to cats! since he’s a ghoul, regular cats like the ones on campus don’t bother him, but any cat-like anomaly he’s ever dealt with has always left him sneezing and with watery irritated eyes lmaooo

- Alan once saw a Cinnamaroll keychain while he was out running errands one day and thought it was so insanely cute that he bought it. He was immediately embarrassed by it though and gave the keychain to some random kid. Cinnamaroll is now his favorite sanrio character.

- Despite living in Obscuary and being a literal Reaper, Rui can NOT handle scary movies. Especially if they’re really gorey. He’s more so disturbed that a regular human would come up with such dark and violent movies, and that there are people out there who are WILLING to watch it.

- Luca has a pet dog back home !! She’s an older German Shepherd with a bit of an attitude lol. She waits at the door for him (and his brother) everyday.

As you pull away, you see her eyes light up, a much different set than her annoyed, gloomy self before going on a grocery trip. Her arms wrap around your waist, pulling you close once again.

• Dib one of the few people to have ever seen Zim with gloves off, and thinks that his little toe beans are cute af (I hc that Irkens have those.) Zim becomes flustered anytime Dib gushes over his cute little toe beans. (He secretly likes it though. But don’t tell anyone that.)

• Zim takes care of Dib when he’s got cramps. He may not understand, but he still tries to help. Dib insists that every is fine (it’s not.) and Zim can see right through him. Be like:

We know how (at least in Chance's Scrapped lore) their parents were helicopter parents. A hc of mine is that, since they wanted them (chance) to be an overachiever and stuff, so they signed him up for a bunch of random things to learn as a kid, so they can just. Play a bunch of random instruments and stuff. The only one they actually enjoyed was piano (which is a canon thing that he likes playing it so yippee)

I've already said this before w one of the first HCs I sent in here, but I hc chance as boyflux and that, basically each new day is a gamble on their gender, but also they're trans Masc too bc. I said so :3 (aka projection)

With the ever popular hc that chance was in the Mafia w Mafioso + gang, I like to think that he and Mafioso had a somewhat father - kid eque relationship? Or at least, Chance looked to the gang as a sort of found family and Mafioso as like a father figure

Chance is. About 24 in my hcs? At least when they got forsaken. Since from what I read w the scrapped lore (my beloved I love the scrapped lore) it said that they got their parents' casino when he turned the legal age, which to legally gamble (at least in the US I think) is 21, and it said that they'd had the casino for 3 years sooo

Theyre probably the closest with Taph, Guest and Elliot (mainly bc the friends that I typically play w main as them :3) and call call Taph Toffee bc it's silly (tpah really likes the nickname tho)

And finally a bit more of an angsty one you could say, one time during a round he was blasting music (don't ask me how idk) in their headphones and the killer was John Doe, the headphones malfunctioned and the song that was playing, the ballad of Jane Doe from rtc, started playing from outside of the headphones, and John heard it, making him pause from a sort of. Grief from it sincr it reminded him of Jane.

karen and oliver are a dynamic i am super interested in! they have some like canon basis for hanging out—karen was being commissioned by oliver to make some stuff for the scare shack and the two had running text conversations, as mentioned in ch3. and i just think it’s super neat for those two! i know she can probably only handle oliver in small doses but i think the two would genuinely geek out over artsy stuff together. like if you put on an animated movie for them both they will both go on two separate tangents about two separate things but will completely understand the other. i just think theyre neat <3

this hc is kind of self-indulgent BUT it has basis in canon since karen is canonically an enjoyer of stopmotion AND really old christmas movies. but i think karen LOOOOOOOVES the rankin/bass set of classic holiday straight-to-tv films. she used to watch them as a kid and now as an adult she can appreciate the animation work and laugh at the stupid plotlines and just genuinely enjoy herself. she has as many of the movies catalogued at her house (primarily in digital form i think) and watches them whenever she’s bored or sad. this is a trait i think she shares with mingus (who likes rankin/bass for a COMPLETELY SEPARATE REASON that is also a self-indulgent soulread) but once again i go into this a bit more in my secret project i need to desperately start working on, so i won’t get into it here >:-) you’ll just have to wait and seeeeeee

they meet as wrong numbers—like, one of them accidentally texts the wrong new contact or something—they got a fake number (haha), etc., and then the other person responds and they have a sort of curt conversation of realising they have theyre talking to a stranger before being like Whoops my bad! ...but then weeks later when the first guy (let's just say, chico - that' kinda what i'm imagining anyway) mistakenly texts miguel again bc he never deleted the contact info. and he's like totally shitfaced too so he just ends up calling miguel and being like HEY Come get me. I'm at xyz location!! … and that’s how they meet—because Miguel is moderately bored and curious and he thinks Chico will have drugs 😂 (maybe he’s mentioned it idk) (anyway he does have them) ...

dating app AU (cough hook up app) 💀 they chat/sext for a long time more as like friends for a while... idk, some people you just sort of end up befriending and having longer running fun conversations with / gossip about your other hook-ups on the app bc there's more to it in a way. they end up exchanging actual phone numbers and chatting bc they have a lot in common—even know the same clubs and know they don't live that far apart, but they just don't meet up right away. And then it gets kind of weird bc at a certain point, they're more lookng forward to meet up but then it's like damn, what if the spark isn't there in person 😵‍💫 what if they meet up, have sex, and then never text each other again or it all falls apart or something. And then something something, when they finally go Fuck It and decide to meet up and get it over with, they get completely sidetracked (just gotta do a minor job real quick! swing by a location!) in a Date Ends Up With Them Almost Getting Shot and Running For Their Lives type way. but good news: even though they bicker like hell in person, and each find the other vaguely infuriating, the spark is definitely there 👀

I love jackie not taking pills, its so canon to me, and i also love the idea of lottie like mildly injuring herself and not even paying attention bc shes Focused. Like coming in with a massive bruise or bleeding and tai like OMFG ARE YOU OK??? And lotties like :) i saw a butterfly :)

Mel having accidents because shes so anxious is so heartbreaking, poor baby <3 but also sweet that van and tai help her with it, like the sticker chart thing is really cute. Can also imagine the others start to get a bit more aware of ways they can help, like noticing if mel is wriggling a lot and reminder her to go. Like she probably usually just panics and shakes her head and insists shes fine bc having someone draw attention to it makes her more anxious but maybe sometimes it helps idk.

I really want to know more about shauna’s passive aggressive notes XD Also awwww mel teaching van to skateboard!!!! I love that!!!!! And lotties notes sound adorable, shes so sweet!

Mickey is Akilah’s and Minnie is Mari’s - though Mickey is a girl and Minnie is a boy because Mari wanted to name hers Minnie but didn’t realise she’d picked a boy mouse until they got home. I’ll make a list with all of everyone’s goals for you!! I think Lot definitely does shove often, but she usually will only do it in the heat of the moment and if someone intervenes and tells her to go to the calm down corner she won’t do it again. Ahh and I love that about the treehouse! And Jackie definitely doesn’t think too much about Mel wanting to hide cause if Mel wants to hide she can hide just not here, so she thinks she’s doing something kind by offering her room. She’d definitely feel bad once Van tells her that wasn’t the right thing to say. lan fan got a philosophers stone from father, and accepts out of her love for ling and need for immortality. she becomes lust 2, who immediately regenerates her arm and becomes a new threat for the heroes.

except greed and lust, who are now ling and lan fan, are giant weaknesses for each other bc ling and lan fan are in love (arakawa give us more than just winry and ed plz), so the stones are both more likely to break their hold when theyre around each other. (aka how to free them 101)

This would be an amazing fanfic idea!! Not only would it flesh out more characterization for Lust but also Lan Fan (which is a bit lacking).

I do agree that they did Lust dirty in mangahood. Especially since Lust is a fully developed character in 03. I know you haven’t watched it, but I would recommend it just for the well rounded female characters including Lust. It has a pretty different vibe from BH, but it’s still a great anime and take on the storyline of fma.

I personally have a fanfic idea in my head where Lust survives Mustang’s attack and revolves around the semi popular headcanon that Lust and Greed are twins, Shield & Spear. Idk if I’ll ever write it, but I have some ideas written down in my notes app if you’re ever interested.

I hope you enjoy watching the rest of BH tho! I wish I could go back in time and consume fma for the first time again. It’s sooooo good. I’m actually rewatching BH rn with my partner and it’s still a good time despite this being the upteenth time I’ve seen it 😆

Sexuality headcanon: bisexual :) I think he probably learned pretty early on but didn’t really fully understand it until later when he was surrounded by more ppl who are also part of the community. He felt connected to the rest of the DF team immediately and part of the reason why is cuz theyre also part of the community, so there was a natural draw to them.

Gender Headcanon: He’s probably just male, he/him BUT you could convince me otherwise bc I really like his long hair and maybe there was some gender euphoria there? Idk

A ship I have with said character: Bomika, DUH! He was cute with Glorp and I liked the episodes with her in it but I think for a ship in general Bomika really caught my eye.

I mean I know what it’s like to use humor as a coping method to all the horrible shit you have to deal with and I know it’s not fun feeling like you’re all alone in that situation, even if you’re surrounded by friends.
