I've been dreaming of the Loyalist of Clubs.
There are so many regrets born out of ignorance. So many bonds lost to time.
He wishes he could have done more then.
How does a moment last forever? How can a story never die?
Tumblr media
“Wh-What’s happening, Trey?”
The question comes from the boy huddled on the guest bed. He’s smallish and demure, like a rose bud yet to bloom. His eyes and cheeks are the same color as his hair—red, from crying.
Trey awkwardly peels himself away from the door. Even shut, shouting is audible from beyond it.
“HE KIDNAPPED MY SON!! Bring him back this instant, or I’ll call the authorities!”
“Ma’am, please calm down. They’re children—”
Trey pictures Mrs. Rosehearts as a balloon, bright red and inflated with hot air. The more she screams, the more air leaks put of her twisted mouth. She shrinks and shrinks until she poofs out of existence.
It doesn’t feel right to stand, so he sits on the bed beside his friend. The frame groans from their combined weights, light as they are.
“… I’m not sure,” Trey admits. “I saw you upset and grabbed your hand and ran. I didn’t want you to be stuck in that situation anymore.”
He pats a pillow. Attempts to comfort his friend.
“You can stay here.” Forever, if you want. But he doesn’t say that, only hopes it in his heart. The solution is so simple in his kid mind. “At least until your mom isn’t mad anymore.”
“Is that… allowed?”
“Sure it is. My parents won’t mind—er, probably. They like having new people over. We’ll pretend it’s a normal sleepover.”
“What’s that?”
“It’s when you sleep over at another person’s house—that’s where the name comes from. You stay up late, watch movies, play games, eat snacks, and then fall asleep together.”
Riddle’s eyes widen. “That sounds like breaking so many rules,” he says nervously.
“Those are the rules for sleepovers. The point is to have fun.”
“Fun…” Riddle nibbles on his lip, drawing his knees closer to his torso. He hugs his legs, collapsing into himself with a sniff. “I-I don’t know—I don’t like not knowing. I’m scared, Trey. Mama is so angry with me. I’m not supposed to…”
“It’s okay to not know. No one knows everything.”
“Mama does. Everyone says so. That’s why she’s always right.”
“That’s not true. I know she’s wrong about this—about us, and about Che’nya.” He grabs Riddle’s clammy hand and squeezes. “She can’t keep us three from being friends.”
“We are…?”
“Yup.” Trey pokes him, then points to himself, “We’re friends. And friends stick up for each other, watch each other’s backs.”
Riddle hesitates. “Is that… the rule?”
“You can think of it like that if you want. But I didn’t do any of this because of some rule, I did it because I wanted to help you somehow, any way I can."
"B-But we're just kids. What can we do?"
Trey worriedly glances at the door--the adults' voices haven't quieted at all--then at Riddle and the stress deeply etched into his round face. This isn't a good place for him right now either.
"We could... go over to Che'nya's. He and his grandpa will be happy to see us, and we can all have that sleepover.”
Riddle looks bewildered at the mere suggestion. "We're going to leave?"
"Shouldn't be too hard. We've already played hooky before," Trey says, tugging him up and off the bed by the arm. "Besides, a walk can help take your mind off of things."
We can be ourselves. We can forget our worries. Everything can be as it was.
Riddle’s eyes are wide with alarm. His knees wobble, and Trey catches him.
“It’ll be fine! I’ll be with you all the way—so if we get yelled at, we can be yelled at together. You won’t be alone.”
Not ever again.
Riddle responds in a shaky mew. His cheeks are wet from crying, and his words trembling—but his trust is firm. “O-Okay… I believe in you. Let’s go. Let’s go see Che’nya.”
Trey smiles reassuringly. “Alright, we’ll escape through the window. It’s a classic. You know how to do it safely by now, right?”
“Yes…!”
The two boys scramble to the bedroom window, undoing its latch and sliding it up. Trey leads the charge, easily clearing the sill. He looks back, urging Riddle to follow.
The threshold is daunting, less the boundary between inside and out and more like the bridge to a world unknown. When Riddle charges at the open window, he expects to smack into the wall. To fall, to fail.
The ground rumbles,
Splintering, fissures appearing.
“You got this!!” Trey cheers from the other side.
Riddle vaults too early and slips.
Panic shoots through him like a bolt of lightning.
Something erupts from out of the floor, racing under the boy to break his fall. Riddle lands on a thick, cushy stalk, leaves twisting around it. Above him, a giant head of petals--blue, bell-shaped, and ringing.
Bluebell.
Another flower sprouts by the boy's feet, bearing a crimson mouth--two lips, pulled back in a laugh. "Frolic, rejoice," says the Tulip. "Be free.”
“Free, free,” a patch of tiny, shrinking violets choruses.
“To dance around the posies and spin daisy chains and search for four leaf clovers.”
“We’ll lift you up when you’re down.”
Plants are poking out from every inch of the guest room, making their own quips and banter. Trey should be startled, but instead he laughs and waves for Riddle.
He waves back shyly, then gasps. His feet find something squishy yet solid under them.
Mushrooms with flat caps, a whole flight of them, in ascending height. The boy clumsily crosses them, each step sending up a cloud of fat, lazy spores. Riddle sneezes, nearly careening off the side—but a wall of snapping dragons or sly gloves in foxes closes in, surprisingly gentle as they support him.
He hops over the sill with ease.
And the flowers follow.
It’s a rainbow come alive, color sprawling over the roads and knitting rooftops with new lattice designs. Some designs dare to go higher and flashier: beanstalks that pierce the clouds, fruit clusters so heavy they bend and droop, petals dripping with jewels. Even the air is more jubilant, filled with shimmering particles--pollen?
Sunshine opens on Riddle’s face.
“Whaaaa~ So pretty!!”
“Isn’t it?” Trey’s grin is so wide his teeth ache. “We should hurry and get Che’nya so he can see this too.”
“It’s going to take so long to wade through all of this.”
“Fine by me." Trey grabs his friend's hand. It feels so small in his, and he thinks of a seed in need of water and light. "We can take our time to stop and smell the roses!”
His other hand reaches out and finds the stem of a large passing dandelion tuft. It forms an umbrella from its fuzzy white tendrils, the perfect shape for sailing on the wind.
Whoosh.
Trey and Riddle squeal as they're whisked off.
Up, up, and away, where their troubles can't chase them.

TC!dad!JK
you’re hurting. deeply hurt but if you face it with your flurry of emotions, it’ll only make things worse. you remain calm but it’s hard to pretend as if you’re okay when you’re not. you want to scream, cry, and let out a river of curses but you know no matter what you do, it won’t bring your baby boy back. you learned that when your twin boys died but you were blessed with ayra and ji-eun. you believe in blessings and that your son will circle back to the both of you somehow, someway. you just want jungkook to see that but guilt is eating at his heart.
the last thing jungkook told his son was that he’d never be a king. hell, he even struck his son and now that he’s gone, how will he ever apologize for what he’s done?
first, his mother and now his son, he isn’t sure how much more of this he can take and frankly, he’s finished fighting. he’s finally holding the white flag and you’re finding it hard to hold yourself together when the strongest person you know is crumbling before your very eyes.
“no, i’m not leaving you! i won’t leave you alone. i am your wife and we vowed to be here for each other through thick and thin. it’s not your fault, baby. what happened wasn’t any of your fault. jinseoul loved you til the very end. not once did he say he never did”
“i’m hurting too jungkook. fuck, it hurts so much” you cry “but i know our son will come back to us. look at ayra and ji-eun. we lost our boys and God blessed us with twin girls. we can get through this, i know we can. i WILL NOT kill you because killing you won’t bring our baby back, jungkook. it won’t!!”
what would your mother say? what would his mother say?
you’re caught between a rock and a hard place and it’s hard carrying all the weight on your own here. you aren’t sure how much more of this you can take and if jungkook does…
you’ll be all alone.
six kids and one mother to raise them all.
and at this rate, that’s what your future sounds like.
“please jungkook” you hold your head down “we have six other children that we have to be strong for. our son loved you. in-in the letter, he said that what happened between the two of you never changed how he looked at you or how he felt about you. you’re still his father at the end of the day and i’m not asking you to suck it up, i’m asking you to live on for him. if not for me, do it for jinseoul. live on for him because that’s what he would have wanted”
dear ae-cha,
you’re the best sister a brother could have ever asked for and i love you. i’m writing this letter to tell you that i’m leaving not because i hate it here or i hate mom or dad but i just don’t belong here anymore.
i know what you’re thinking “MOM AND DAD WILL KILL YOU” but i made sure i wrote a letter to them too and no, i will not tell you where i’m going. just know that when i come back, i’ll be a fully mature man and better than you like i always was.
tell areum to be the best cook she could ever be and that her fruit tarts were always my favorite. tell her that it’s okay to not be okay and make sure you give her lots of hugs for me. tell her that she shouldn’t be afraid to go to mom and dad about anything and that they’ll always support her no matter what. i will too.
tell jawon to remember that mom’s favorite flowers are snowdrops because he always forgets and if he wants to learn more about archery like he says he will, dad is the best teacher.
tell ayra to be a good girl and to stop eating peppermints! they’ll rot her teeth! i keep scolding her about that and she thinks i don’t know but i do! i know she’ll get better at music and personally, she’s the best cello player in the whole country. tell her to stop being shy and show the world just how great of a musician she is.
tell ji-eun to be to kind to ayra and keep singing her heart out. she’s gotten so much better since the lessons but she’ll lose her voice if she keeps being mean to ayra. tell her to be a good girl too and that she can keep all my paintings if she wants.
tell jaehan to keep being adorable and that i love him very much. when he gets big and strong, give all of my art supplies to him so he can be a cool artist like his big brother.
ae-cha, you’re in charge now. keep mom and dad happy and tell them that i chose to leave. i’m sure they’re upset, but they’ll understand. you’re the greatest dancer, ae-cha and no matter what, keep dancing. if you ever miss me just know i’ll be there in every twirl, dip, and fall for you and our siblings.
you be a good girl too and don’t make the same mistakes i did. save yourself for someone special. for someone that actually loves you and when we meet again you have permission to say “told you so.”
love you always, best friend
“jinseoul?” ae-cha tilts her head. what does this letter mean? and before she can leave her room to ask her parents about it, the servants instruct her to stay in her room until you come to get them.
that’s when she knew something must have happened to him. something terrible.
Jungkook can’t take this, he loved all of his children, jinseoul was his first baby and now that he’s gone, he cannot find it in him to go on.
He really can’t, you’re crying, Jungkook is filled with guilt and regret, he really cannot go on, loosing a child is never easy and Jungkook had to learn that the hardest way, life has taught him the most difficult lesson by giving him the deepest wounds.
The only good thing about his life was you, and his beloved children, now one is gone and six are left, he just wants to cry but he cannot dump it all on you because along with him you’re a bereaved parent too.
Jungkook however will just die like this, his will has been broken, none of his children are big enough to take over, he just wants to go, he wants to run away.
“I-I’m not strong like you yn…. You learned to love a monster but I’m it strong enough to deal with this- I need to go.” He gently pushes you away but luckily got him you’re done with his bandage.
You can’t save him everytime, he will get his punishment, today at any cost, “I need to feel exact pain that he must’ve felt when he was stabbed- you don’t understand I failed to protect him.”
“I’ll die just like him.”
But the real question is that who killed him.
Jungkook has to kill one last person before he goes and that’s going to be the killer of his son, “leave me alone yn.”

I remember the day I got the news my best friend died of Cancer. Christmas Day… I wish I could easily forget the way her mom was screaming crying, the crack in her sisters voice when she told me… the way her whole family looked the day of her funeral. The way her daughter kept leaning toward the casket to get close to her mommy one last time. I remember literally sitting there numb & blank for hours after the news. When it finally hit me, I cried for days straight, every single night. Even tho, I seen her get sealed into the wall, I seen her in a casket , it felt unreal. I wanted her to wake up , I wanted it to be a joke, I wanted her to pull through so badly. It took me months to wrap my head around the fact I’d never hear her infectious laugh, or hear her voice, or see her beautiful face ever again. It’s been 2 years & I still expect a call on my birthday, I still wanna text her to ask how her n her daughter are doing or to see my phone light up with her name on it. This is a death, I lie n say Ive accepted , I say it’s fine , I’m over it but truthfully, I don’t think there will be a day I don’t wish I could just go to her house , lay on her bed n talk for hours or just to simply call her. It’s a death that hurts me deep into my soul cause we were connected by the soul since the 6th grade when I met her. That was my soul sister, not just my best friend. She knew every secret, ever scar, every detail about me but most importantly accepted me fully for who I was, what I came from & who I grew to be all the years we were friends n I accepted her. I didn’t care when she lost her hair, or lost weight, I didn’t care she had cancer… I still seen her as the same person till the very end. The day she passed she definitely took a large piece of me with her. There’s not a day that goes by, I don’t replay her voice , her laugh , all our crazy memories in my head cause I’m utterly terrified to forget it all. This is the girl that brought me a pan of heart shaped brownies & a jar of pickles to school on Valentine’s Day for me, the girl that always came through for me, the girl that gave me a safe place to be when I didn’t have one at home. The one that taught me true friendship & what a true friend is. One the realest people on my team. The sweetest person I’ve ever came across. To know her was to love her. She touched peoples hearts, she loved everyone around her so deeply, I always aspired to be more like her. I always looked up to her even tho she was younger than me. I always rooted for her, I wanted to see her go to college, I wanted to see her raise her daughter. I wanted to see her live life. I wanted to be old ladies in rocking chairs with her like we said we would be. Cancer robbed her of all that. Robbed all of us of her beautiful presence. I’ll miss her forever, & I really do hope maybe, one day just maybe; I’ll be okay with her death & one day it won’t hurt so bad just to think about her or speak out on her name n all our experiences together. I know she’s dancing in the sky, & I know she’s living her next life but I’m selfish.. I want her back.

pairing - f1drivers/2022 x fem!driver
warnings - death, grieving
Tumblr media
Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?
May 29 - Mónaco GP
“Any plans after the race” I asked my teammate, Alex
“Well, there’s always the Red Bull afterparty, you know that is almost a tradition, even if you DNF” I look at him and nod.
“Yeah, I can’t handle too much, not after dealing with a very drunk Charles and Lando, no thank you”
“C’mon, we need a little bit of fun. And we’re expecting the best from you, you’re Mrs. P3 today and can finish as Mrs. P1″
Safe to say that Monaco it’s not my favourite GP. Reason: none but today it’s raining and I prefer a sunny Mónaco. Who knows, maybe I want to look for a really cute french around Mónaco harbor.
Nah
Not me at the moment
"Oh, shuss. I’m feeling confident buuuut...let’s see. We have a little meeting with Jost and then get ready”
“Cool, see you”
I walked to my motorhome and for a moment I feel like everybody was looking at me in a weird way. I ignored it and changed in my race suit getting race before the race. The reunion got cancelled and the FIA scheduled for a little debrief, weird.
 As I go inside the room, I am looking for Alex, seems that everybody is in a rush. Being in front row in Mónaco is a big achievement and being in a Williams is like touching gold, so I can mess this up
“Alice...Al...¡Alice!” Alex is shaking my shoulder. Lando and Daniel, who are in front of us, are looking at me trying to gain my attention
“What...I get lost in my thoughts, sorry” I look around and every driver where looking at me “Why is everybody looking at me? For the record, I got a shower in the morning” The looks in their eyes are the same when my mom told that my hamster died when I was 8 years old...
No
Not that look
I’m not ready
I’ve never been
“We need you in your motorhome then you decide if you want to race” started Lewis with a sad expression on his face
“What ever it is...I’m okay if you tell me...I mean, we tell each other our stuff...sometimes...I...I” Alex take my hand and squeeze it, his eyes are a bit watery, so are Lando’s, so as Pierre’s, so as Sebastian’s
So as mine
No
I wanna run from here
“Tell me already, I can deal with your faces right now as much as I love you all” Sebastian was crying, Alex’s face is something that I would never forget and his next words were like a whisper, an arrow to my heart, worst that a heartbroken.
I got up, ignoring their voices, their screams, I have no place to go, my legs are functioning alone. It’s still raining and the way to the paddock is alone, no one and there’s tears running down, I looked to the grey sky and then to my feet
What now?
I sit on the floor, looking to knowhere. Being a thousand kilometers far from home and being an only child and deciding to leave was the greatest sacrifice for my mom, saying goodbye and know, all that distance just for set myself in my biggest dream, but she’s not here today and she’s not going to be tomorrow
Not anymore
How is it now that somehow I am felling like the biggest looser?
Like, doesn’t matter anymore.
“I’m sorry mom, forgive me. But I know that I have to let you go. I'm giving up and... and I guess this is where we say goodbye, I hope to be alright, someday I'll be fine, it’s just... not tonight” I heard a lot of steps and the boys where standing in front of me with their umbrellas and Carlos have a bouquette of red roses, Yuki offers me his hand so I can stand.
Charles look at me “We are with you and even If you feel you’re alone, you’re wrong. You have 19 brothers that are going to hold your hand till the day we die. We know how close you were, we knew her and she loves you”
“She’s proud, so are we” Said Sebastian “It’s not correct for me to send you racing today but If you feel strong enough to do it for her, we’re with you, If not...well, we’re still with you, till the end of the line”
I look at them. I still have a home, they’re home
“Promise me to stay?” I asked
“Always” All of them start hugging me and telling me that they are here for me and more lovely words.
“Boys, It’s race time. Let’s go” I smiled and headed with Alex to our garage. I changed my suit and get ready. This is for mom, Even if i get in the bottom, this is for my number one fan. My get in the car and thumbs up to everybody. I’m okay, I’m okay
I’ll be okay
“Radio check”
“Loud and clear” I answered to Andrew, my race engineer,
“Okay Alice, let’s do what you do best, I give you my condolences and I tell you that this is your race, do it for your mom, today she’s looking after you...as always, kid”
“Thank you. My mom is now an angel, let’s get that P1” I smiled and the moment we expected, lights out.
With an end time of 01:13:521, I passed the chekered flag and all of the screams of the fans and my team holding a big board with my mom’s name on it and a P1. This is definitelly a race to remember. There is no pain so great as the memory of joy in present grief, my mom is gonna be forever, even she can’t call me as she ever did or wait for me at the airport, her memory and all the time she spend taking care and helping me is something that stays.
I placed the car in front of the P1, I go out of the car and put my hands in my face, not realizing this and I saw everybody clapping at me, Checo and Lewis, stand by my side and in the big screen located at the podium a photo of my mom was present. I kneel crying. Lewis kneel by my side and then hug me, Checo did the same, I look up and the rest of the boy were there with happy faces.
I look at Lewis, we took off out helmets and balaclavas. I smiled and run to hug my team. Everybody  is cheering, joyful. I run to the boys and hug Max and then all of them join
“My home is here, thank you”
“Anytime, A” said Mick
“Lovely and cheessy but someone needs a shower” said George and we started laughing. “Go for your trophy miss”
“What a way to kill the moment George” Alex said, he hug me and jump with me “I must be a wizard, Mrs. P1″
“First of many, you’ll see” I follow Checo and Lewis to the podium. I look up to the sky, how gratefull I am for living my dream, being the best on it. And still...she’ll always be here. I shake the champagne and enjoy the moment with the others. My second family is here, smiling at me, clapping, cheering, laughing, all the happy ways to show me how much I mean to them.
At the end
Home is  were my 19 brothers are. And I’m glad that I’m always there

Lost Our Baby Prank - Bakugou Katsuki
Dad!Bakugou x Mom!f!reader
Warnings: Cursing, Angst, Fluff, Katsuki is horrible at prank wars as always
Summary: Y’all remember those stupid “I lost our baby” pranks that were going around on YouTube awhile back? Yeah this is that. Poor Y/N.
BAKUGOU’S MASTERLIST
Bakugou and the boys of the Bakusquad were out at a cafe just hanging out. Bakugou’s a new dad and Y/N decided to give hubby a day to himself after taking care of Katsumi back to back, even with his hero work. Topics were discussed, jokes were made, and of course they were getting along just as the Bakusquad did. Some time into the conversation, Kaminari thought of an idea for the new dad.
“Hey Kacchan! How have the pranks between you and Y/N been going?” Kaminari asked. Bakugou looked at him with a raised brow as he set down his drink with a little laugh.
“Oh. Yeah, no. After Katsumi was born a few months ago we decided to dial it down a bit. Just until she doesn’t need so much attention.” Bakugou said. That’s when he noticed the electric blonde’s smirk.
“Wellll, it’s been 5 months since Katsumi was born. Why not pull a prank with your little princess?” He offered. That grabbed Katsuki’s attention.
“What?” Bakugou asked.
“A prank with Katsumi. Use her to prank Y/N! You can do one of those ‘I lost our baby,’ pranks! It’ll be hilarious!” Kaminari laughed.
“Uhhh, I don’t think that’s a smart idea,” Kirishima said. “C’mon Bakugou, are you really gonna do that to Y/N?”
Kirishima looked to his friend, shocked to see a deviled smile on his face. “She won’t even see it coming!”
“Bakugou,” Sero began. “Don’t do this. We get you and Y/N have these dumb prank wars or whatever but c’mon, that’s her child.”
“It’s my child too!” Bakugou countered. “It’ll be fine, Y/N’s a prank master! She’ll get it. Besides she’s been on a winning streak. It’s time for me to knock her down a peg!”
“You sure she’ll be fine?” Kirishima asked. Bakugou looked at him, then thought about it, and then smirked. “You down to help me out, Dunce Face?”
“Let’s go right now!” Kaminari said. And with that, the two blondes ran out the cafe together leaving behind cash to pay for their meals and drinks.
Considering the two blondes left the cafe earlier than you expected Katsuki to be home, he knew this would be unexpected. So the two crept into the house quietly, looking for Katsumi.
“Katsumi~” Katsuki cooed, looking for his daughter. “Wait here, Sparky.”
Bakugou quietly walked deeper into the house until he went into the master bedroom where his two girls were taking a nap. He thought it was an adorable sight that made his heart swell. He approached the bed and that’s when his baby girl woke up.
“Oh! Looks like you caught me, princess.” Bakugou said softly to his sleepily dazed daughter. She grew excited at the sight of her father and sat up, revealing her bed head. Bakugou picked her up in his arms as she cooed excitedly at him. “You ready to help Dada prank Mama?”
Before Katsuki left the room, he set your alarm to go off in 10 minutes. Then, he quietly stepped out the room and went to Kaminari. “I got her.”
“Heyyyy, there’s the lil princess.” Kaminari said once he saw Katsumi. She squealed in excitement at seeing her uncle and the boys immediately shushed her. Katsuki passed her off to Kaminari and began his plan.
“Alright, just go outside and wait in your car with her. I’ll come get you when the pranks done. For now, take some snacks for her, here’s her bottle, and her favorite toy.” Bakugou said, placing all the things in Kaminari’s free hand.
“Alright, thanks.” Kaminari said before walking out the door and speaking to Katsumi. “Okay princess, let’s go. Your Daddy’s gotta scare your Mommy.”
And now, all Katsuki has to do was wait.
You finally woke up when your alarm went off. Weird, you thought you set it for later. Oh well. You sat up, stretched, and looked down at where you thought your baby would be. When you didn’t see her there your body took a screenshot.
“Katsumi?!” You said in a scared voice. You jumped out of bed and looked to the window and noticed Katsuki’s car was home. You sighed in relief and maybe thought your daughter was just with him. You ran down the stairs to find Katsuki watching T.V on the couch.
“Suki, you’re home! Hey!” You said and kissed his cheek.
“Hey babe, good nap?” He asked and held you closer on the couch.
“Uh- yeah. Yeah, it would’ve been better had I woken up next to my daughter whom I was sleeping with in the first place. So..where is she?” You asked your husband.
“Oh, she woke up so I took her and put her in her playpen.” He said. You sighed in relief before getting up to find her.
When you walked to her playpen, you were shocked to see it was empty. You immediately called out to your husband. “Katsuki?”
“Yeah?” He shouted back from the living room.
“She’s not in here!” You shouted as you looked around for her.
“What?” Katsuki asked, playing dumb.
“She’s not in there!” You said, running out to him. Katsuki played his part and stood up pretending to be shocked.
“What?!” Bakugou asked as he faked a panic. “What do you mean?!”
“She’s not in there! Katsuki she’s not there!” You said in fear as you searched your large home. “Katsumi! Katsuki is this a prank?!”
“No!” Bakugou said, running around to make it more believable. Katsumi!”
You and Katsuki both called out for her, running around the house. After searching for a little longer, you grew insanely worried and met with you husband again in the living room, crying. “Katsuki! Where is she?!”
“…Shit! Y/N! I forgot,” Katsuki began.
“What? What do you mean you forgot?!” You asked, running up to him. “Katsuki! What did you forget!
“Baby, don’t be mad, okay?” He went on.
“What?! Tell me what happened?!” You said with tears.
“I forgot, I left the back door open,” as Bakugou spoke you began to shake your head in disbelief.
“No..no, no, no-“
“She must’ve got out.” Bakugou said. That’s when you let the tears heavily fall.
“No! No, Katsuki please! We have to find her!” You cried. You tried pushing your way to the door but Katsuki held you back. “Please, Katsuki tell me it’s a prank! Please!”
“It’s not!” Bakugou pushed.
“Well then we have to go out and look for her!” You said trying to push pass your husband who held you back at your shoulders.
“We can’t! What if someone comes back with her! Let’s just keep looking.” Bakugou said.
“What?!” You said looking at your husband in shock. Your husband would never say that. What was he thinking?! “Can we at least go in the back to find her?”
“Well- didn’t you already check?!” Bakugou asked as he ran to the backdoor, still playing his part.
“Yes! She’s not there!” You said, crying. You reached for your phone in a hurry as you began to call the police for help. “I’m calling the cops.”
“What?! No!” Bakugou said running to you and taking your phone to cancel the call. “No! No, no, no! No!”
“What are you doing?! Katsuki! Where is she?!” You asked crying. “Please! Where’s my daughter?!”
“It’s okay! It’s okay, baby. She’s fine. She’s fine, okay?” Bakugou said, pulling you into his arms to kiss your forehead but you pushed him off.
“Where is she?!” You shouted as you still cried.
“She’s with Denki, outside.” Bakugou said bringing you to the front. He motioned for Kaminari to come and you finally settled down a bit when you saw Kaminari walking closer with Katsumi in his arms. You reached for your baby as Kaminari gave her to you and walked into the house. You held Katsumi tight against you as you cried with her in your hold. Katsuki tried holding the two of you in his arms but you pushed passed him.
“Y/N-“ he said, struggling to grab onto you as you forced out of his hug. “Baby.”
“How could you do that?!” You screamed at your husband who looked at you in sorrow and guilt as you cried. “What is wrong with you?! Katsumi’s our daughter! I get that we play jokes but you took it too far! Please don’t play around like that with Katsumi! Like that’s not okay!”
“Baby, I’m sorry.”
“I don’t care!” You cried with an exasperated voice. “You can play around about anything but please don’t play with Katsumi! That’s not cool! I don’t know why you think that’s okay! I would never do that to you! Like..this is our baby! It’s not even funny!”
Bakugou was left speechless as he watched you walk away and slammed your door shut to your bedroom, leaving the two out in the living room. Bakugou turned to Kaminari in shock as Kaminari was giving him the same face. “Think we took it too far?”
“Too far.” Kaminari agreed. Katsuki dropped his head in shame before snapping his head to his friend.
“This is your fault!” Bakugou shouted.
“You were the one who wanted to do it!” Kaminari argued back.
“I know!” Bakugou said sadly as he let his head drop again. “It’s usually never my fault so I just needed to give it to someone else.”
Kaminari huffed but knew his friend meant well. He gave his friend a sympathy pat on the shoulder as he spoke. “Alright, I’m gonna go but I hope things get better, alright bro?”
“Alright. Thanks man.” Bakugou said, walking Kaminari to the exit. When he left, Bakugou went back to you and Katsumi in the bedroom but opted to knock before going in. “Baby? Can I come in?”
“Go away!” You shouted from behind the door still as mad as ever. Bakugou flinched at your volume before speaking again.
“Baby, it was just a prank. I’m sorry…..can I come in?” He asked.
“No.” You deadpanned and that made Bakugou’s heart hurt. He hated seeing your tears and he didn’t even know why he continued the prank. He should’ve just let it go. With that, Bakugou decided to give you your space as he sat in the living room before deciding to go out to the store to make it up to you.
About half an hour had passed since you heard from Katsuki and you were sitting in bed with Katsumi in your arms. All of a sudden there was a knock on the bedroom door and it was obvious it was Katsuki. “Go away, Katsuki.”
Ignoring your request, Bakugou slowly opened the door and poked his head in. “Please baby? I’m sorry.”
“I don’t care. You should’ve never done what you did.” You said, not taking your eyes off your daughter. Bakugou took caution as he walked into the room and stood next to you at the bed.
“I know, and I feel horrible. It was stupid and I promise I’ll never do it again.” He said, trying to hold into your hand.
“Okay.” Was all that you said, still not looking at him. Bakugou could still feel your intimidating aura around and knew he wasn’t out of the woods yet.
“Forgive me?” He asked, and when you looked at him with cold eyes he knew you didn’t. He sighed and nodded his head before pulling out a pint of your favorite ice cream. “Forgive me now?”
“No. You’re annoying.” You said, looking at the ice cream with a pout. Bakugou noticed and smiled a bit before bringing out your favorite brownies from your favorite cafe.
“How about now?” He asked with a smile and you let out a small laugh when you saw the chocolatey treats.
“You’re still annoying.” You said. And that’s when Bakugou pulled out a new toy for Katsumi and placed it in front of her. She instantly loved it and giggled at the sight of it, causing you to smile.
“Now?” Bakugou asked with curiosity as he sat down next to you and pulled you in to wrap his arm around your waist. You giggled before leaning onto his shoulder.
“Yeah, I forgive you.” You said with a smile and Bakugou kissed your forehead before scooting in closer..if that was even possible.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. I won’t do something like this ever again.” He promised. You kissed his cheek before placing your head on his shoulder again and bringing your daughter closer to the two of you.
“Heh..yes you will but it’s okay. Because I’ll forgive you then too.” You said with a smile. “But I swear to god, if you do do something like this again, you’re sleeping on the couch. Got it?!”
“Yes M’am.” He said nervously with a chuckle.
“Good. Love you Suki.”
“I love you too, Y/N……does that mean you’re gonna get me back?”
“You’re not even gonna see it coming, Suki.”

“I’m sorry Seth but you and I both know that what you’re saying is bullshit.” I snatched my hand away from his chest, the feeling of his racing heart was no longer there. I knew he wasn’t lying about what he said but for his and my sanity, we both needed this to end here. This entire relationship was causing too many problems...well before he decided to join the Cullens.
“What (Y/N)....what are you talking about?.” He stood there with tears in his eyes, I’m surprised he didn’t let them fall like I was letting mine fall. That was one thing I hated about him. He held in all of his emotions and then when it came to the breaking point he would explode. Trust me when I say it’s not a good sight to see.
I had to put off a bold face for him. I couldn’t let him know that I was actually dying inside. I was letting a few tears slide down my face but that didn’t compare to the aching feeling that I was feeling inside of me. It was the same feeling I felt when he first left me.
“Fine since you want me to say it so badly”- I roughly pointed my finger in his face.- “ Leave me alone. We’re breaking up so don’t call me, or text me until you get your priorities straight. I’ll be home when you get your shit together.”
Seth couldn’t look me in the eyes, he started to kick the dirt with his feet. The sand below him started to change different colors from the tears that were falling upon it. He started to mumble a few words but the only thing I could hear was. “You don’t have your priorities straight either (Y/N).”
“It’s because I’m dealing with your shit! I’m around here following you like a lost puppy when you only play mind games with me! I’m so done with you and your bipolar ass!” I spat bitterly, I turned my back to him then marched towards Sam. I turned around to look at him once more, I instantly regretted it. He stood there with his hands in pockets with his head still hanging low. His head shot up instantly making eye contact with me, I quickly snatched my gaze away from him. This was going to be a new start for both of us so I didn’t need to be drawn back in with his puppy dog eyes.
Seth POV 2 weeks later
 I was too much of a coward to say goodbye. I was truly heartbroken. I wish I could run to her and tell her that I love her and tell her that I cherish everything about her but I know she wouldn’t believe me. I was all out of options. The only thing that felt right to do was to cry and that’s what I did. I cried so hard that day that Jake had to carry me home on his back. It’s been two weeks since I have last spoken to (Y/N), two of the longest fucking weeks of my life. I thought losing my dad was painful but this...this has won the race. I couldn’t bear the heartbreak so I started to stay out longer. I asked to take over Leah and Jake’s patrol hours. I don’t even remember the last time I ate. I can only remember our last encounter, it’s like a nonstop movie in my head it was causing me to go insane.
I hate it here.
I have been spending most of my days down at the border. I was monitoring the days where Colin and Brady patrolled, they were my best option to trick into letting me cross the border. It was my only way to apologize to (Y/N). So here I was trying to wave down Collin and Brady so I could continue with my ridiculous plan.
“Hey! Colin, Brady pshhh, come here!” I yelled out in the distance to the two wolves. I was standing at the border waiting for them to shift as well. I wasn’t in my wolf form. The last thing I wanted to do was be a threat to them.
Brady was the first to walk from behind the tree while Colin stood behind the tree too nervous to face me. I could read their body language from a mile away, they were very uncomfortable with being around me.
Brady snarled at me, I observed as all of the muscles in his body grew tense as he spoke. “I heard you got into it with Paul. He should have ripped your fucking head off.”
“Wow I wasn’t expecting that from you Brady, but thanks I guess.” I wasn’t trying to be an ass but it just rolled off my tongue. Straight away I regretted it, it only pissed him off even more.
Brady pulled Colin by the collar of his shirt pushing him towards me. The kid could barely keep his posture straight or his eyes focused on me. He had no confidence in his steps and started to trip over the branches on the ground.
Brady pointed between the both of us with his thumb. He had an irritated facial expression plastered on his face. “Tell him what you told me when he left.” he spat bitterly, a small smirk was rising on his face but soon faded as Colin spoke.
“Do I have to?” Colin mumbled, he waved shyly at me. I took this opportunity to wave back to him. I gave him a small smile as well. Colin, Brady, and I were always close but Brady was always the fiery type while Colin was timid.
“Yes, you have to say it!” Brady exclaimed.
Colin rolled his eyes, “Fine, I said that you were an ass for leaving us behind. It wouldn’t be the first time that you left us.” Brady glared at him to continue, “I also said that you have a reputation for turning your back on us.”
I noticed Brady smiling at Colin; he must have felt accomplished. I must admit, I did feel bad, I left them behind but it was some things that they have not come to reality with.  “Listen I need a huge favor. I need you to let me cross the border so I can see (Y/N).”
Brady rolled his eyes, “Wow so you just completely ignored what we have to say? Why would we let you cross the border and jeopardize us? Yeah, that was a stupid request.”
“You’ll do it because I am your superior. In Jakes’s pack I’m the beta...but don’t ask Leah or else she’ll lie. She thinks she’s the beta because she’s older but in reality, Jake named me the beta.”
Colin had a questionably look on his face, by now he has grown more comfortable with me and now is standing face to face just like Brady. “Why would you want to see someone who doesn’t want to see you?”
I was taken aback, “Why do you mean? She wants to see me, there is no way that she would not want to see me.”
“Umm I highly doubt it, she’s been living well since the accident. We went skating last week with us and the others. Not once has she mentioned your name.” Brady slapped Colin across the back of his head. I watched as the two bickered back and forth. Brady pushed Colin away from him. He snapped his fingers to gain my attention from my feet. I hadn’t realized that I was getting sidetracked but I was trying to figure out why (Y/N)  wasn’t heartbroken.
“She made it clear that she didn’t want to be around you anymore Seth. Dude if I were you I’d really leave her the fuck alone. She really wants nothing to do with you. If you try to see her she’ll probably freak out on you. You’re pretty much dead to her.” Brady then smirked, “There’s also another guy that has been keeping her busy lately.”
Ouch. Well, that hurt...it actually hurt a lot. I cleared my throat so I could stop the tears from arising. We’re not about to cry in front of them!
Colin now slapped Brady beside the head. “You could have said it nicer, idiot.”
“What! Her words, not mine!”
“Just forget about it.” I spat bitterly, If you wanted to forget about me and everything we had then so be it. I could forget you just as fast as you did me. I could care less about those stupid ass memories we made together. Just like you said I really didn’t love you it was just the stupid feeling of you being my damn imprint.
I continued to walk and degrade our relationship. Jake tried to stop and talk to me but I just shoved him out of the way. He started to piss me off as well. He had his nose shoved so far up the Cullens ass he couldn’t tell you what roses smell like. Then here comes my second problem, Leah.  I didn’t dare shove her. I didn’t want to pick a fight with her right now. I could explode on her and say some things I didn’t mean.
“Where the hell have you been!? Were you down at the border again?”
“Does it really matter?” I rolled my eyes at the screaming woman. If she wanted to be my mom then she should have birthed me out. She tugged me backward pulling her face up to hers. I stared into her lonely eyes as she did the same with me.
“You’re my little brother so you are my business. Stop doing dumb shit, Seth.”
 I ripped my face from her hands. “So let me get this straight when I need you you’re nowhere to be found but when I do something dumb you magically appear.” I already knew where the conversation was heading. I was not in the mood to hear her shit right now because I was a walking bomb ready to explode.
“Did you go see (Y/N)?”
“No! I didn’t see her. Why do you make everything about her? I could care less about her.” I couldn’t control myself. I threw my fist into a nearby tree. It cracked and fell to the ground. I didn’t realize I was crying until I felt the tears roll down my cheeks.  As much as I wanted the tears to stop falling I couldn’t. I have never felt so empty in my entire life. That same feeling of heartbreak resurfaced throughout my body. My chest began to tighten, a sharp pain shot throughout my body as I tried to walk forward.
”Make it stop hurting Leah.” I began to sob uncontrollably. “It hurts so bad, why did she have to go? Why is everyone leaving me? What did I do to deserve this….I just try so hard to make everyone happy but when will it be my turn to be happy?  Mom is fucking dating Charlie now. We barely see her anymore only on fucking holidays!  Why did dad have to fucking go!? And you only check on me when it’s convenient for you Leah! Why is everyone leaving me, Leah!?”
“Seth I-”
I cut her off, “Don’t say it.” I knew I was going to apologize about the accident that happened with dad. I never blamed her for the accident. She didn’t mean any harm by it. I could never bring myself to blame her.
 I started to wipe my tears with the sleeves of my flannel shirt. It brought back the memories of the time that (Y/N) would take my flannel and wear it with her converse and shorts. I started to cry all over again at the thought. I started to choke on my words, everything that was coming out of my mouth was undetectable. “(Y/N) was always there for me and now I chose the bloodsuckers over her. She doesn’t understand that it was the right thing to do. They were going to kill a baby. Leah, I don’t have anyone else. I’m so fucking lonely!”
“I know how it feels Seth. It hurts like hell but you’ll get over it. I’m sorry that you felt like I wasn’t there for you. I must admit that I was being completely selfish. I love you Seth and don’t you forget that.” I started to relax under her embrace. I haven’t seen this side of her since she and Sam were together. It was good to have her back though. “I love you too.”
I followed her gaze, she was staring up at the stars. “I want you to cry it all out, Seth. All of that heartbreak and sadness you have deep within you I want you to let it the fuck out. If you hold it in it’ll turn into anger then that anger will turn into bitterness. I’ll come back and check on you in the morning.”
I don’t want to be alone…
Leah’s footsteps started to become faint, I was left alone in my thoughts once again. I honestly didn’t want her to go. All I wanted for her to do was to hold me and tell me everything was going to be alright. I was stuck on ground zero like I was when my dad died, no one was there for me except (Y/N). She would probably hold me in her hands while whispering the things I wanted to hear. I wish you were here right now, maybe I wouldn’t be so angry at the world.
“Fuck it!” I started to yell out in the night air. I threw punches in the nearby tree to try and let my anger out. I hit each syllable of the words in the tree. “Fuck you, Sam! And Fuck you too Paul!! I’m not scared of you!” “I don’t care what anyone does and says to me. I’m going to see her and no one is going to stop me.” I didn’t stop until the tree flew back by the force of my hits.
I shifted into my wolf and ran towards her scent. Brady and Colin were still on patrol however they were both on the other side of the forest. It would take them a while to catch up to me at the speed I was running at. A sinister laugh escaped from my lips. This power or maybe it was the adrenaline….no, this was most definitely power. It made me feel invincible, By no means this was me finally sticking up for myself, or how (Y/N) would say, this was me finally growing some balls.
Her scent was in the direction of the beach, oh how could I miss that scent. I followed the dominating scent but there was something a bit off with her scent. It was a mixture of something foreign. I gazed out to the beach scanning every person that was out there. It seemed like there was a party, there were so many teenagers out around the bonfire. I growled out as I watched you sit on a log with another guy’s hoodie on. His cheap polo cologne filled my nostrils. You were sitting there laughing at something that he said which probably wasn’t that funny.
“Tch, I want to know what’s so funny.” Anger arose in my body causing my teeth and claws to sharpen. My breathing became irregular and there was a tight feeling in my chest. I tried to ignore it but the harder I breathe the more painful it becomes. I took a step forward and instantly collapsed on the ground. My wolf form quickly disappeared and there I was laying on the ground in the fetal position. I tried to crawl but my body felt numb. The only feeling I had was the tears falling from my eyes down my cheeks and onto the ground. I even tried to scream out your name but nothing came out but a gasping sound.
Was I dying?
I started to cry even harder, the thought of dying always freaked me out but the thought of leaving you with guilt made me feel even worse. The sobs were coming out more frequently than I anticipated. I didn’t have time to catch my breath or even think straight. Everything felt like it was closing on me. The air around me started to thin out making me feel dizzy. The pain in my chest starts to become more unbearable.
“(Y/N) wait...I..I...can’t breathe!” I choked out the words barely having the strength to do it. My head started to pound from the lack of oxygen I was getting. My hearing was becoming undetectable. I felt my body go stiff and my eyes fluttered shut as well, everything became dark and warm.
It took every bone and ounce of energy to draw a tiny heart near me. If (Y/N) found me like this then she would see the heart. She’ll know that I died loving her...right? Was I even dying or am I just being dramatic? I don’t know, I just want to embrace the warmness that surrounding me right now.

safe place
warnings: reader comes from an abusive household. will include both physical and verbal abuse.
characters: tadashi yamaguchi, satori tendou, tobio kageyama, tetsuro kuroo
request: hii!! can i request scenarios with yamaguchi, tendou, kageyama, kuroo (and maybe akaashi 🥺👉👈) with a crush on a girl who comes from an abusive household and how they would confess/help her? thank you sm🥺💗
an: i’ve been writing so much smut lately that writing fluff felt weird bahaha, but i hope you enjoy it! :)
yamaguchi
- there has been a dramatic shift in your personality since tadashi first met you
- and he notices it instantly
- though you pretend to be, you’re no longer the cheerful and bubbly y/n you once were
- and yamaguchi hates seeing you this way
- so he debates whether he should bring it up for a long while, not knowing exactly what to say
- but when you show up to his house one day, shaking harshly with tears pooling down your face
- he knows something’s terribly wrong
“hi y/n.” tadashi says with a big grin as finally he opens his front door after hearing his doorbell ring a couple times. that smile quickly drops and forms into an expression rich with concern. his eyebrows furrow and his eyes widen as he takes in your appearance. you’re shaking violently and breathing heavily. your eyes are bloodshot from all of the tears that are quickly rushing down your face, dripping silently onto the concrete of yamaguchi’s front step as you avoid eye contact with him. you’re not quite sure why, but you’re embarrassed about crying in front of him. so your eyes stay locked on the bland grey of the concrete ground beneath you as you wait for tadashi to say something.
“c-come in. it’s super cold, you can tell me what’s wrong inside.” he says sweetly, reaching out a hand for you to grab. he leads you into the kitchen, watching as you take a seat on the counter. then he grabs a kettle from the stove, pouring you a cup of tea with the water he was boiling before you had shown up on his doorstep. you two remain silent as he does so, neither of you being quite sure of what to say in this moment. so you let the stale silence consume you, only the delicate sounds of yamaguchi pouring the cups of tea filling your ears. once he’s done preparing your tea the way he knows you like it, he walks over to your spot on the counter and hands you the mug.
“careful, it’s really hot.” he informs and you smile softly at his concern. you take a small sip of the tea after blowing it to cool it a bit, sighing at how warm it makes you feel. tadashi always makes it so perfectly for you and you can’t help but feel extremely safe in this moment as he stands next to you silently, though his eyes are asking for an explanation.
“my mom yelled at me again, but it was worse this time.” you sigh, tears starting to sting your eyes again at the recollection of your previous screaming match with your mother.
“about what this time?” yamaguchi asks, locking his eyes with yours. his demeanor is soft but his gaze is harsh and you can tell he’s upset that this is happening again.
“all i did is forget to wash the dishes and it led to her screaming at me that i’m a lazy, good for nothing piece of shit who leeches off of her for food and shelter. basically the usual spiel of how i’m useless and just take up space. how she wishes she never had me because then she’d have one less problem to worry about.” you explain, attempting to choke back the sob forming in your throat. you don’t notice since your eyes are focused on the mug in your hands, but yamaguchi’s own orbs are brimmed with tears. he sets his mug down on the counter beside you and moves between your legs so that he could be as close to you as possible.
“hey, look at me.” he says, but you refuse. you hate having him see you like this. it’s only happened once before and you swore it wouldn’t happen again but here you are, sitting on his kitchen counter while forcing yourself not to break down in front of him. after you disregard his request, he takes matters into his own hands.
he cups the sides of your face timidly with both of his hands, them still being warm from holding his mug. he lifts your head so that your eyes meet his and you feel your heart flutter a bit. you notice the tears that have yet to leave his eyes, resting there but threatening to spill over at any second. instinctively, you reach up to wipe the tears away as you see them finally fall and he smiles a weak smile at you.
“you’re not useless y/n.” he starts “you are so, so special whether your mom sees that or not. i truly hate that she doesn’t. because if she could even just see a fraction of the most mesmerizing sides of you that i get to see everyday, maybe she would change. or maybe she wouldn’t. despite what she thinks, i know how genuine and kind you are. i know how beautiful and selfless you are. you’re far from good for nothing, i hope you know that. and if you don’t, i’m more than willing to help you realize just how incredible you really are, because i love you. i love you a lot y/n, and i hate seeing you so upset. so i’ll do whatever i can to make it better. i promise.” yamaguchi confesses. tears are streaming down both of your faces at this point. this is everything you need to hear right now and then some, and you feel completely at ease with yamaguchi’s words.
“i love you too tadashi, thank you so much. god, i love you.” you coo before lightly grasping the back of his head and pulling him down for a kiss. your action catches him off guard at first, so he’s a bit timid in terms of kissing you back, but after a few seconds he catches the rhythm and kisses you softly.
“you can stay here if you want, for as long as you need.” he offers, giving you a shy smile.
“i’d love that.” you smile back.
tendou
- you and tendou have a very playful friendship
- always play fighting or teasing each other and whatnot
- the typical ‘we like each other and everyone around us knows we like each other but we’re completely oblivious so we don’t know we like each other’ type friendship
- one day the two of you are at tendou’s house at the kitchen table “studying” (which really means “fighting”) as per usual
- tendou playfully hits you very lightly, not even a toddler would have been fazed by the slight shove
- but you wince roughly at the touch
- and tendou gets suspicious
“i barely even touched you, what’s up?” tendou asks for what seems to you like the billionth time.
“it’s nothing, i was messing around. just drop it.” you huff, growing annoyed at tendou’s persistence in finding out what the issue is.
“the look on your face was clearly not a joke y/n, tell me why it hurt so bad? what aren’t you telling me?” tendou pushes and you’ve just about reached your limit.
“i said it’s nothing so just please stop fucking asking, ok?” you snap, though in the process you lift your arms to cover your face in aggravation. the motion raises your shirt a bit, allowing tendou to catch a glimpse of the huge dark purple bruise spread across your ribs.
“y/n. what the hell happened? that looks terrible.” tendou whispers, the shock of what he has just seen revoking his ability to speak out loud. you catch his gaze locked on your stomach and quickly remove your hands from your face, not even realizing that the movement had lifted your shirt. your face flushes to a sickly shade, all life leaving your body as you realize you can’t lie your way out of this anymore. you have never in your life had someone look at you with as much concern as tendou is now looking at you with, his eyes scanning your face dumbfoundedly as he anticipates your answer to his question. you sigh heavily, mentally preparing yourself for the draining information you’re about to tell.
“well um. i got into a disagreement with my dad.” is all you can manage to get out. you planned on explaining more, but just bringing it up makes your stomach curdle with fear and you feel as though you’re about to vomit. tendou notices and rests a comforting hand on your thigh, rubbing it in small gentle motions.
“he hit you?” tendou asks softly, trying to better grasp the situation.
“well he was drunk and i had an attitude with him, so he got a little worked up and ended up pushing me over. i fell and hit my side on the kitchen table on my way down. but it was just an accident, it’s ok. i made him upset and he pushed me. i just lost my balance is all. it’s not his fault.” you find yourself trying to defend your father and you don’t even know why. you know him pushing you wasn’t an accident. you falling and hitting the table was, but that doesn’t diminish the fact that your father just grunted at you as he watched you sob on the floor in agonizing pain before going back to his previous spot on the couch and finishing off his glass of whiskey. but you don’t want to tell tendou that.
“y/n no, that’s not ok.” tendou’s voice breaks and your heart breaks with it. “accident or not, no man should be putting their hands on you like that. better yet, your own father. is this the first time he’s done something like this?” tendou asks, attempting to keep his voice steady but failing.
you shake your head no and tendou sighs, shaking his head in dismay.
“i need to get you out of that house y/n. i’ll figure something out.”
“no satori, it’s fine. i’m fine. i can hold my own.” you argue.
“i’m not denying that you can, but i’d feel like the most terrible human being on earth if i let you go back there and something else ends up happening to you. so you’re staying here. my parents and i will figure out a way to take care of any legal actions that need to be made, but until then you are staying here and i will not let you argue with that.” tendou states firmly. although his words are firm, you can see in his eyes that he’s hurting for you. you couldn’t argue with him even if you wanted and luckily, you don’t want to.
“thank you tendou, that means more to me than you’ll ever know.” you say.
“you don’t need to thank me, i care about you too much to see you get hurt. i want you right here with me so i can know you’re ok.” he says, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to your forehead. you melt at his sweet gesture, and suddenly feel like everything will actually be ok.
kageyama
- kageyama is very attentive and tends to notice things about you that the typical outside viewer wouldn’t pick up on
- like the way you’ve been spacing out whenever he speaks to you
- or the way you flinch whenever someone slightly raises their voice around you
- the way your eyes look tired and lifeless lately, despite the huge smile you may be carrying on your face
- he has a hunch that he knows what’s going on, so he pulls you aside after his practice that you sat and watched while doing homework to talk
“hey y/n, can i talk to you for a second?” kageyama asks as he walks to your spot in the stands. you frown up at him, not really sure what he would want to talk about, but you shrug with a quick ‘sure’ and let him lead you behind the gym. you frown again because this is where he takes you whenever he has something serious to tell you, or when either of you are having a really bad day and need to express your emotions in private.
“what’s up?” you ask curiously, searching his eyes for any sort of hint of what he’s about to say.
“that’s sort of what i want to ask you. what’s up with you lately? i mean, you’ve been pretty good at hiding it, but i can tell something’s going on with you and it’s not good. i just wanna make sure you’re ok.” he says softly. you contemplate telling him what’s been going on at home, his gentle expression seems so caring and genuine. it’s difficult for you not to just open up to him and let him in. but you’re scared of what he might think or how he may react, so you bow your head down to avoid eye contact and mutter,
“it’s nothing really. school has just been a bit stressful is all.”
“you’re lying.”
“what?” you ask, lifting your head to meet his gaze once more. to you, your performance was believable. but kageyama’s been your best friend for the past two years now so he’s become somewhat of a master in knowing whether you’re being honest with him or not.
“you’re lying. what’s really going on?” he asks. he’s looking down at you with his deep blue eyes drowning in concern. you can tell he won’t let you leave without hearing the genuine truth, so you decide it’s for the best not to lie anymore.
“my mom hit me the other day and we haven’t really talked since.” you explain sadly, tilting your head down again. kageyama sighs at your confession because his hunch is correct, and he hates that it is. “we were arguing as usual, but this time she umm, she got a bit too carried away.” you continue. kageyama physically feels his heart break for you. he’s always known how terrible your relationship with your mother was from his first few weeks of knowing you. you would constantly tell him all the awful words she spewed at you in the heat of your arguments, and he was always there to comfort and reassure you afterwards. but it was always verbal, never physical so he wasn’t quite sure if him stepping in to try and help would do any good or just make matters worse. but hearing that it’s now escalated to physical harm makes his stomach ache.
“i’m so sorry y/n, i should’ve helped when i first heard about how she was speaking to you. that should’ve been my first sign that something like this would happen. i feel terrible for not doing anything.” he let’s out, his head now bowing along with yours.
“hey.” you say in an almost whisper, lifting his head up by placing your finger underneath his chin. his tear glistened eyes meet yours and you can feel the guilt radiating from his body which makes your heart shatter. “none of this is any of your fault. you did help me, ok? you’re the only person i’ve ever even told any of this to and you have always been there to comfort me when i do. you’ll never realize how much that means to me tobio. i appreciate you so much.” you explain.
his eyes jump back and forth between yours as he absorbs everything you just said. then his eyes glance down to your lips and linger there for a moment. yours do the same to his, both of you mentally questioning whether or not you should just go for it. eventually the pressure of the moment pushes you two together and your lips graze tenderly. kageyama’s hands find their place on your hips as your arms wrap behind his neck instinctively. the kiss is sweet and filled with so many emotions. most importantly, it’s filled with love. a kiss that you both have been craving for so long yet never had the guts to pursue. and finally, you’re able to give in. after a few moments you pull away, flushed and flustered a bit yet completely content.
“you can stay at my place tonight. we can figure out how everything will play out once we get there.” kageyama says as more of a question than a statement. you just smile and kiss him again in response.
you’re slightly worried about what the future holds, but having kageyama by your side will forever ease your nerves.
kuroo
- though kuroo can be a bit of a tease sometimes, he’s also immensely caring for those that he loves
- you being one of the people that he loves beyond words
- though he hasn’t confessed it yet
- means he’s very protective of you and would do anything to keep you from getting hurt
- he’s always been your rock, and you his
- so when he finds out that your parents have been emotionally damaging you
- he gets fairly upset
“jesus, i look so disgusting.” you say in what you think is a joking manner while looking at yourself in kuroo’s closet mirror. but the way kuroo’s head snaps up from his phone to give you a glare, you can tell he didn’t take it as a joke.
“why are you always talking about yourself like that?” he frowns.
“like what?” you respond dumbly, knowing exactly what he means but really not wanting to embark on your trauma right now.
“you’re always referring to yourself as if you’re the grossest thing in existence and it hurts me to hear you say those things. is there a reason why you feel like that?” he asks, sitting up straighter on the bed to get a better view of you in the mirror. you sigh and turn to face him, walking over to his bed and sitting on the edge of it.
“yeah, i guess there is a reason.” you admit, looking down at your hands as you fidget with them.
“well, what’s the reason?” kuroo asks. you look up at him nervously. you told yourself that this is something you would always keep to yourself because you don’t want to bombard others with your issues. but there’s something about kuroo that makes it immensely difficult not to just tell him everything. maybe it’s the way he fully listens to you whenever you have something to say. it’s like nothing and no one else around him matters but you and whatever you have to tell him. he always makes you feel heard and validated. important. something you never get at home.
“it’s just my parents i guess. no matter what i do, i’m never good enough for them. i’m always trying so hard to impress them, make them happy. but all i get in return is being yelled at and told how much of a disappointment i am. do you know how hard that is? being the best version of yourself that you can possibly be and still not being enough for the people who are supposed to love you unconditionally? it hurts so bad kuroo, and it makes me feel like i’m nothing. so that’s why i’m always talking about myself like that. because it’s how i see myself, as nothing.” you tear up. hot tears begin rolling down your face uncontrollably as soft sobs leave your body. kuroo completely softens at your words, moving closer to you so he can wipe your tears with the pad of his thumb. he pulls you closer to him, your head tucked into his chest while his large arms suffocate you in his warm embrace.
“i’m so sorry y/n. words can be so damaging, especially coming from your own parents and i really wish you didn’t have to go through that. because now you don’t even see yourself the way you should see yourself. the way i see you.” kuroo says, trailing off a bit on the last line. “i think you are the most captivating person i have ever met and probably ever will meet. every time i’m around you i just can’t help but feel this sharp pang in my heart which i can only assume is love. because i feel it when you’re gone too. you’re unbelievably amazing y/n, and insanely beautiful too. please don’t let your parents destroy that for you, although i don’t think they ever could.” kuroo finishes.
you lift your head from his chest and look into kuroo’s kind hazel eyes as he looks back at you, flashing a small smile.
“that’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever said to me tetsu.” you smile “and i love you too.” you finish causing kuroo to immediately go red. he was somewhat hoping you would have forgotten or missed his accidental love bomb, but how could you? you’ve been waiting to say the words yourself for who knows how long, so your heart almost couldn’t take it when it slipped from kuroo’s lips.
“thank god.” kuroo laughs lightly, “now what are we gonna do about your parents?”
“completely forget about them?” you joke, though in the back of your mind you’re somewhat serious.
“i was thinking confront them and put them in their place, but that works too.” kuroo chuckles before lightly grasping your chin and kissing you. you’ve never felt happier nor safer than you do in this exact moment.

Something so right
Pairing: Alive! Luke x Fem reader
Summary: A date with the golden boy of the school reveals Y/N’s and Luke's true feelings for each other and they have no choice but to face what they feel. Who will take the first step?
(The fragments of the song are from Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift)
Tumblr media
Luke Patterson was more impatient than usual. 7:30 pm and no sign of his best friend, the one who had never missed a Sunset Curve rehearsal in these two years that they had been playing together.
“Am I the only one worried about Y/N? She is not usually late."
Reggie slaps his forehead, a memory snapping back into his head. "I forgot to tell you she won't be here today, she said something about a date."
The guitarist feels a punch in the stomach, he tries to hide how bitter the news fell on him, but his friends know him better than that.
“A date? With who?” Alex asks, genuinely curious.
“Austin Grayson.”
“Ugh, really Y/N?” But of course it had to be the school's golden boy. Luke can't help not feeling insecure. Austin Grayson is everything Luke Patterson isn't, and that scares him. What if that's what she's really looking for in a partner? He just wouldn’t stand a chance.
“Nice, he really has to like her to invited her despite what everyone says." Bobby responds as he takes advantage of the short break to rest his hands. Reggie and Alex nodding in agreement.
“What do they say?” Luke asks, completely lost.
“Oh please, most of the school thinks you guys are dating. There isn't a day that I don't hear someone call her Patterson’s girl." Alex replies, and Luke looks even more lost.
He can somehow understand why they would think that, he always enjoys having her and feeling her close. Usually touching her hand or arm in some way, hugging her whenever he sees fit. Carrying her books in the hallways or supporting her at her basketball games, just like she accompanies them to all the band's rehearsals and performances, or how she sometimes wears to school the clothes that he 'accidentally' leaves at her home when her mom invites him to dinner. On second thought, it’s easy to understand the confusion.
Tumblr media
You don’t know what is happening. Austin is sweet, handsome, smart, and yet you feel nothing. Forced yourself to laugh falsely all night, and couldn't help but think that it would have been more fun to join the boys in rehearsal, especially when they were only a few days away from Sunset Curve's first performance at school.
When you finally get home, you walk with your head on the floor, trying not to make eye contact with your date. Austin gently grabs your chin so you turn to see him.
A fake cough from behind causes you both to jump away from each other. You don't even have to turn to find out who owns that perfect timed cough.
“What are you doing here?” You refuse to turn around, but you know he's smirking anyway.
“It’s movie night, love.” You force one more smile towards Austin as you curse Luke under your breath, who emphasized the last word in that seductive deep voice he sometimes does when he sings and that secretly melts your legs.
“Patterson." Austin tries to get past the awkward moment by participating in the conversation, and Luke responds by approaching and placing his arm on your shoulder.
"Grayson. Thank you for bringing her safe and sound." He sounds sincere, and that makes you smile for real for the first time of the night.
“It was nothing... I should go. Goodnight Y/N, I had a great time.”
Luke lowers his arm from your shoulder and leans back, ashamed of his rare moment of insecurity and letting you say goodbye to the boy.
As soon as he leaves, you turn to see your best friend, who looks sadly at the ground, and you hug him tightly.
Luke has been through very difficult months, and it is easy for someone who is vulnerable to feel insecure, especially in situations new to them. Not to mention that you are definitely not going to fight with the person you love for putting his arm on your shoulder or calling you in an affectionate way, which are things that he usually does, guy in your doorstep or not. You decide that he showing a little jealousy for once is not the end of the world.
“I missed you so much, rockstar.” You murmur still against his chest, your statement only makes him hold you tighter. You can't help but think about how just hugging him for a few seconds makes you so much happier than the whole date you just had.
“I’m sorry for making a scene. No wonder everyone thinks we are dating.“
“I don’t mind. I couldn't wear your cool flannels or your necklaces if I was dating someone. Plus it would take away valuable time that I can use as the president of the Sunset Curve fan club.” He chuckles. You can feel his body relax and his heartbeat begins to calm down. He gives you a sweet kiss in your hair before letting you go.
Best friends walk into the house, and as Y/N goes to change into something more comfortable Luke sits at the kitchen counter to chat with his second female best friend.
"You have to do something quick, I don't want to have you here crying and eating ice cream while she's on some date with some graceless snob.”
The guitarist can't help but laugh. Y/N's mom has always been a music lover and one of his greatest inspirations. She gave him his first guitar and taught him how to play, always supporting him in each of his steps as a musician. She has always loved him like a son, believing in him with all her might and always blindly entrusting him with what she loves most in the world, her daughter Y/N.
“I know, I will I promise. What I felt today when I saw Grayson touch her face and so close to her lips... I never want to experience that again. I was thinking maybe at homecoming? Sunset Curve is going to perform.”
She wrinkles her nose in response and Luke laughs again.
"Yeah too much information, I’m sorry. And I know, but we have to start somewhere. As soon as we get booked at a good enough club you'll be the first guest.”
They both make a pinky promise and smile.
“I’ll make you proud someday. I swear.”
“I’m always proud of you, my sweet boy. I know you’ll do amazing things, just take good care of my princess during tours.”
“You know I will.” They pinky promise again and reunite with Y/N in the living room to watch movies til the teens fall asleep cuddling.
Tumblr media
Homecoming day arrived and you don’t have a partner. It is not hard to imagine why, being surrounded by at least one of the Sunset Curve members 24/7, especially Luke who tries to be close to you as much as possible, as if he is afraid that you will forget him if you spend too much time separated. Which is actually something you like, if you are honest with yourself. Is not something you would tell him but feeling him close and having his attention devoted to you most of the time feels quite special.
The date with Austin didn’t feel right and only confirmed what you've been trying to deny yourself for months. You are in love with freakin Luke Patterson. And you are in really deep, loving the good, bad, fun, boring, charming, and annoying parts, absolutely every side of him. And now is the time to finally do something about it.
After the guys show tonight, even more girls will be raining down on them than usual and things could get really messy, it's best to make your move first. Inside your heart you know that he feels the same, and if he doesn't have the courage to act on it then you will.
The first and most important thing you need to do to get the operation going is to kidnap Reggie, Alex and Bobby.
After a little threatening session everyone sang about Luke's idea for tonight, which made you grin like an idiot and feel more confident about your plan. The surprise that he will get when he sees how you sabotaged his plan.
Convincing Luke that it was best for you to come on your own so that they would have more time to prepare was not easy, but in the end you succeeded.
He's not a suit kinda person, but you went along with him to get a dark blue one that looked unreal on him just a few weeks ago, and you knew he would find a way to wear it sleeveless so he will look even more irresistible. You opted for a black dress that fades beautifully to blue towards the bottom of the skirt and in which you really look pretty good If you can say it yourself.
Sunset Curve finishes singing the first song, Now or never. It's time for the song Luke wrote for you, but he turns to see his friends scared when he still can't find you in the crowd. They smile at him and start to play the song they practiced with you just a few hours before.
“The way you move is like a full on rainstorm, and I'm a house of cards. You're the kind of reckless that should send me running, but I kinda know that I won't get far.”
You walk onto the stage as you start the first verse, Luke is shocked for a few seconds but then grins from ear to ear.
“And you stood there in front of me just... close enough to touch.” He recovers much faster than expected and pulls you by the waist towards him, just the microphone separating you two while he looks at you with the most seductive face you’ve ever seen.
“'Cause I see, sparks fly, whenever you smile... Get me with those green eyes, baby as the lights go down.” He blushes a little and smiles while his eyes are locked on your lips, capturing every move.
After what seems like an eternity, the song ends and before you can even say thank you, Luke's lips crash against yours, and it’s even better than what you’ve dreamed plenty of times. All the people start screaming, but you especially hear Reggie and Alex a few steps away who sound pretty happy for you.
“Reggie, an issue occurred, I have to go, sing home is where my horse is if you want to.” Luke whispers to his friend, before effortlessly carrying you off the stage.
“Admit it, you just want to touch my legs.” You joke while he walks with you on his shoulder.
“I’m in love with a really smart girl.” You stay quiet, your heart wants to jump out of your chest and you don’t even want to imagine how red your face is right now.
The guitarist finally brings you down when you leave the building, and you both walk to the park next door, where you met when you were just kids.
"Do you remember exactly how we met?" He asks while taking your hand.
“Reggie and Alex teamed up to destroy you in a game they invented and I was the only one in the park, so you invited me to join your team. And when we managed to win you said that we were the best duo on the face of the earth, that we had to be best friends forever."
“I sound very intense.”
“You are.”
They both laugh at the memory.
"You were still right."
“When did you finally realize that you loved me?” Luke asks, smirking playfully.
“I've known for a long time, but I didn't dare to admit it until recently.”
He completely accepts my answer and sincerity and smiles at me.
“I always knew that we would end up together, you eat me with your eyes when I'm not wearing a shirt.”
His teasing takes effect and you blush just remembering him in that situation.
He smiles cheekily and then takes mercy on you and changes the subject.
“So, we are the best duo on the face of the earth, best friends forever, and now an official couple?”
“That’s right, handsome and smart. Nice.”
Both approach until their lips touch, the kiss begins calm but quickly becomes more passionate, his tongue claiming every inch of your mouth, his arms strong on your hips. You let this amazing sensations envelop you and you lose yourself in him, happier than you've ever been.
When you are with the right person, everything feels just right.
Thank you for reading!

Tumblr media
Laughter filled the air as Hope and Ava played in Hope’s room. The sound could easily be heard anywhere throughout the compound. The two cousins playing while using up the last burst of energy they had in their systems before bed. For the first time in centuries, there was a peace that surrounded the Mikaelsons that allowed the girls to be carefree.
There was enough peace that the Mikaelson siblings didn’t have to worry about looking over their shoulders for any enemies that may be lurking in the shadows. With the two young girls, the Mikalesons believed that even more danger would be on their doorstep. But that hadn’t been the case. They were safe. They wouldn’t be hurt by the Mikaelsons’ past and that was all thanks to Emma. Without her, there wouldn’t have been the peace they were living in.
Klaus leaned against the door frame as he watched Hope run after Ava with a pillow. Ava’s laughter had been followed with a shriek as the pillow in Hope’s hand had come into contact with her. Ava swung the one she had in her hand, hoping to get Hope away for only a moment before she attacked back.
The sight itself had brought a smile to Klaus’ lips as he watched them. The bond between the two cousins had reminded him greatly of Emma and Hayley. The two girls are inseparable just as their mothers were after their own reunion. Hayley had believed she didn’t have any family left. And when she found her fraternal twin after coming to New Orleans, there was no breaking them apart.
Emma had fit easily into the family. It didn’t matter how complicated things may have become, Emma was there for her found family. She would never leave her sister in a fight and she’d make damn sure that her own daughter and niece were safe. And when it came to making a sacrifice for the girls’ safety. Emma was ready and willing to pay the price.
Just promise me one thing. Emma’s voice played in Klaus’ head as he watched the girls. That if anything ever happens to me, you’ll take care of her.
Klaus could remember telling her that he should never have to make that promise. That Emma would always be around to watch as her own daughter grew. Emma had made him promise anyways. She had even gotten Hayley to promise as well. Emma needed to be sure that her daughter was taken care of.
“Alright girls,” Hayley’s voice cut through Klaus’s memories, pulling him back to the present. “Time for bed.” Hope and Ava whined in unison the moment the words left Hayley’s lips.
“Five more minutes, Aunt Hayley?” Ava asked as she watched her Aunt look over at Klaus for a moment.
“Hayley is right.”  Klaus said agreeing with her. “You both have big days tomorrow. It’d be a shame if the both of you were exhausted before the fun even began.”
For weeks the girls had been asking about taking a trip to the state fair when it came. While Klaus and even Hayley were skeptical about taking the girls there, they had been assured several times that things would be okay. That things wouldn’t go wrong just because the girls wanted to have some fun.
It was Freya that had convinced her younger brother that they should go. That they should have fun without worrying about anything. To let the girls live as normal of a life as they could from time to time. Ava may have only been a year older than Hope, but the girls were needing interactions with the outside world. Away from the teachings of spells, or self defense classes.
Klaus’s words had made the girls toss the pillows back onto Hope’s bed before turning to each other and saying goodnight. Ava ran past Klaus and Hayley as she went into the room across the hall. It caused Klaus to chuckle as he pushed himself off the doorframe.
“I got Ava.” He said as he turned and walked towards the door.
A small smile pulled at Hayley’s lips as he watched Klaus do so. For as many times Hayley had warned Emma about Klaus, they found a way to be together. After the fights, after the accusations, there was something that Emma had seen in Klaus. The same thing Klaus had seen within her. They were willing to do whatever it took to keep their family safe.  To do whatever it took to keep each other safe.
Klaus had stepped up as the father figure to Ava after Emma sacrificed herself. While Hope was still his daughter and he’d do anything for her, Ava was in a sense, now his as well. For the past year, he worried for her. Stayed up with her when the nightmares would scare her. When she’d break down crying simply because she had missed her mom. Klaus was there for her. He may have not been her biological father, but with how much he had grown to care for and love Emma and Ava, Ava had become like a daughter to him.
Klaus watched as Ava climbed into bed, the moment he walked into the room. It wasn’t long before a smile tugged at his lips as she burrowed into her bed. To see so much of Emma within the young girl had caused a tinge of pain within his chest. Ava smiled at Klaus as she pulled the blanket over herself and nodded her head, signaling she was ready for her favorite story.
It was during those nights that Ava had woken up from nightmares that Klaus would tell her the tale of her Mother. It was in a way that showed how much he had loved and adored her while proving she was the hero that saved them all. It had become Ava’s favorite story. One that needed to be told each night in order to keep the nightmares at bay.
He walked over towards the bed and sat down at the edge. His hand coming to rest on her feet, making her giggle before he moved them. “You have to promise right after, you’ll go to bed.”
“I promise.” Ava brought her small hand up and made an x over her heart. “Cross my heart.”
Klaus chuckled as he shook his head slightly. “In a kingdom in a far away land, there lived a Queen. One that was loved by not only her subjects, but the family she had created. The bond between them ensured they were kept safe from any enemy that may have threatened them. The Queen was not immortal. For even the genes she carried within her blood may have made her stronger, but even the strongest warriors have their weaknesses.”
He watched as Ava’s lips pulled into a smile. “For this Queen’s weakness was her beautiful daughter. The Queen would slay those who dared entered their kingdom in hopes of taking or harming the Princess. She’d return from battle with the blood of her enemies on her body, showing that she would do anything in her power to save her child.
“Even her family would face the invaders to help the Queen. So long as the Queen was there, the family would be invincible.” Klaus had lost count of the many times Emma had helped save them. The countless times she had been there to help protect them or to take down an enemy without any hesitation as to what his past held. “It wasn’t long before a new threat arose in the Kingdom. A dark creature entered the Kingdom, taking her loved ones one by one, threatening to take their lives.
“One night, while the Princess slept, the Queen went and made a deal with a very powerful witch.” As Klaus said the words he could easily see in his mind how Emma had gotten up in the middle of the night to meet with Freya. Klaus remembered watching as she walked into Freya’s room before a spell kept him from hearing the words they spoke, or even viewing into the room from the balcony. “The deal would ensure the Princess would be safe, along with the rest of her family. But the King that had courted her, tried to stop her from making the deal.”
“You are all in danger!” Emma had yelled as she stood in front of Klaus. “I can’t just sit by and watch as you all are targeted. We almost lost your brother. What other close calls are we going to have to make before you let me help?”
“What about Ava?” He asked, trying to keep himself calm. The way they had been screaming at each other wasn’t getting them anywhere.
Emma shook her head as tears filled her eyes. “This is for her as much as it is for you and your siblings. For my sister. For our girls to be able to live without a darkness looming over them. You have to let me do this. I’ll be able to come back from this.”
“No.” Klaus said as he shook his head before moving to place his hands on the sides of her face. “A spell like this, even I know there is no coming back from it. It will break Ava.”
“You promised to take care of her.” She said as she placed her hands on top of his as they rested against her face. “Just don’t let her forget about me. Talk to her about me, about us. Because I know that is the only thing that will make this easier for her.”
He took in her words before he pulled his hands away from her. Realization hitting him. This just wasn’t her saying she was going to try and do this. This was Emma saying she had already done so. This was her saying her goodbyes. He ran his hand along his face before he turned his head away from her.
“When?” He asked a moment later as he turned to look back at her. It was as he looked into her beautiful brown eyes, that he loved so much, that he found the answer he needed.
“But he had been too late.” Klaus continued. He watched as Ava’s eyes began to close. He knew she would be asleep towards the end of the story. “No matter how much the Queen had loved the King, she knew what needed to be done. The very night the dark creature came to attack, the Queen’s family had begun to fall. Slowly each of them had been hurt by the creature. The Queen knew she’d be the next to be hurt. And once she was, the spell she had the powerful witch cast, allowed her body to absorb the dark creature.”
Ava rolled on to her side, her hands coming up under her head, her eyes closed. “Mommy saved us.”
The words were soft. To any human, they would have barely been able to hear them. But for a hybrid, they had been loud in his ears. A sad smile pulled at his lips as he watched her eyes close. “That she did.” He said before continuing the story. “The Kingdom mourned the loss of their Queen. But there was one thing the King had promised the Princess. She’d always be safe. She’d always be taken care of. And she’d be told of her mothers heroics. The Queen would never be forgotten. It was her wish for stories to be passed on about her just as the stories of legends had.”
Klaus slowly stood from his spot before he watched Ava for a moment. She was sound asleep by the time he had finished. A smile pulled at his lips as he leaned down and kissed the top of her head. “Goodnight little one.”
“You were always so great at telling her stories.”
Klaus froze at the voice. He thought for a moment that there was some kind of trick that someone dared to do on him. Because after a year, he never thought he’d hear that voice again. His memory didn’t even do it justice.
His heart sped up for a brief moment as he slowly turned towards the door. He hoped that his mind wasn’t playing tricks on him. Or anyone else for that matter. But as soon as his eyes landed towards the doorway, his jaw dropped slightly.
She was there. She was standing there in the doorway with a smile on her face as she watched his reaction. Klaus could see the way her eyes slowly filled with tears as he began closing the space between them.  Without a second thought, he walked quickly over to her and pulled her into his arms.
Having her press against him had told him that this wasn’t a dream. That this wasn’t someone attempting to hurt him and the little girl that slept a few feet away. Emma was home and Klaus had every intention of making sure she never left his sight again.

you loved min yoongi, you’d die for him.
and died for him you did. when the traitors came for your king, you’d leaped in front of him and took a swing of the treacherous sword. history books portrayed him as the king who went mad. the king who slayed hundreds of lives in one night and ruled for fifty more years as a tyrant.
what are histories if not painted with a tragic romance?
they said it was because of you he went mad. because he lost his queen, his breath.
a few hundred years later, he’d found her again. at the age of twenty-seven and you, twenty-two.
his girlfriend was pregnant with his baby and you were professor kim namjoon’s student-turned-fiance.
“it’s funny, you know,” you took a whiff of the cigarette and breathe out through your mouth, “we can walk out of our current relationships and ruin everyone’s perception of us, or we can just lead the life we’re living like we didn’t remember anything.”
yoongi squints his eyes as he stares up at the sun. lips tucked downwards, as though telling the universe that after one lifetime too many, he’s unimpressed.
“or we could just run away,” he recalls the flames of the torches of that night - not as bright as today’s sun but just as mocking, “forget about everything and run away.”
“you make it sound so easy,” a laugh escapes your smoke kissed lips, “it’s not as if the people we’ve known and loved are fake, faceless puppets.”
this life is just as real.
though it would’ve gone much different if you’d met each other sooner.
yoongi taps the pointed corner of the invitation card on his palm. it tickles but it’s nothing compared to the burning sensation as he held onto the handle of the sword despite it grazing his flesh.
“how far along is she?” his girlfriend, you mean.
walking into namjoon’s office - the office you’d snuck into a few times too many but felt utterly alien - you saw the porcelain, snow-kissed complexion of your king. all at once, the memories hit you like a rain of shards.
and in each, individual shard, you see the images of your first step, first drawing, first embroidery and the first time you met yoongi. an arrogant boy whom you pushed into the koi pond.
the same boy who smirked at you the whole time during your engagement ceremony while you squirmed in your seat, scheming a runway and an apology at the same time.
and the man who strutted into the room, plopped on the left side of the bed and bade you good night on your first night as a married couple.
it was until three months later, that you trapped him under you and confronted him about it.
you thought yoongi, the crown prince turned king, had a lover. but he loved you too much to hurt you. they said you’re supposed to bleed on your first time. you laughed until your stomach hurt because you were happy beyond words that your husband was abstaining himself for you and not going around fucking a lover behind your back.
not even a year later, you caressed your stomach and giggled to yourself, thinking about yoongi’s stone cold expression turning pink and speechless. that night, the rebellion happened.
your last memories was of him holding you in his arms and calling out your name.
in this lifetime, your first memory of him is watching him smile a familiar smile that screamed awkwardness as namjoon relayed their youthful tales.
that was, until he got to the part where yoongi’s about to be a father.
all of a sudden, there’s a knot in your stomach. it twists and tightens until you feel like you’re going to puke if you didn’t excuse yourself, saying something about calling your mom that you’d be having dinner with namjoon and letting the two men catch up.
“ten weeks. we’re ten weeks pregnant,” he sucks in a deep, agonized breath - and from the way he’s gazing up at the sky with his hands on his hips, you don’t think he meant to hide his afflictions.
the way he refers to himself and her as ‘we’ makes that knot all the more painful.
“i was a seven weeks pregnant,” you smile softly to yourself, gazing down at your stomach as if you could feel your baby from your previous lifetime.
you shouldn’t have said it.
should’ve just kept quiet.
but-
“they told me you were eight weeks in,” the soft, breathless tone that comes from yoongi is  what makes your heart beat again.
as if you’d come to life. as if min ___, the queen of joseon had come back to tell her king the one thing she wished to say. the one thing she wished for.
a family.
“taeyang. i was going to name him taeyang because he was going to be the sun of the dynasty and bring peace to the nation,” you laugh and it’s the choked up sound that you make that makes you realize you’re on the verge of crying.
“never thought i’d be talking about histories and dynasties with anyone - i hate history,” the confession slips out of you like you’re talking with an old friend. someone you trust wholeheartedly. someone you know you can confide in.
yoongi was your friend, your lover, your king.
“come with me. i have a savings account, we can start anew somewhere, we can have what we couldn’t have back then.” he turns to you and looks at you in the eye.
“what about your baby?” you ask because you know it’s meant for his future family.
“i’ll send child support every month,” he says.
“your parents?” you ask because his mother was a concubine and the king barely remembered his name out of the names of his many children.
in this lifetime, from the way namjoon candidly told the story, you know they love their eldest son as much as he loves them.
“they’ll adore you,” he says.
“no one’s gonna love a homewr- ah,” you hiss, dropping the cigarette that was trapped between your fingers until it burned your skin.
“___,” a familiar, deep but less gravelly tone reverberates against the walls as namjoon comes jogging at you like you’re a kid who just bruised her knee.
you study his face and yoongi’s eyes burn holes in your head.
from the way he meets your gaze and gives you ‘your fingers almost got burned and you’re looking at me?’ you think it’s safe to say that he didn’t hear what you were saying.
“i’m fine, i just burned my fingers because i got too engulfed in yoongi’s stories about how you two met,” you laugh at how namjoon’s inspecting your fingers more attentively than a doctor would.
“another reason to include in the long list of reasons not to smoke,” your finacee chides.
“that was my last,” you announce in a higher pitch than your usual voice - and that’s how namjoon knows you’re half-joking, even when you- “i promise.”
“anyways,” you place the injured hand on his chest to distract him - the way yoongi’s jaw tighten doesn’t go past you, “i talked to my dad because apparently my mom was cooking and couldn’t come to the phone and he said to tell you to bring me back before curfew.”
it’s the way namjoon freezes underneath your touch, his eyes blinking once and his soul retreating far back into his subconscious that makes you giggle.
“i’m kidding.”
only then, does he breathe again.
“my mom wasn’t cooking, she was watching her favorite show,” you say again.
it takes a split second for namjoon to put two and two together and tenses up again. as if he feels your father’s hardened gaze behind him. your father didn’t take it too well when you introduced your professor as your boyfriend who proposed to you a week before.
“it was nice meeting you, yoongi, we look forward to see you at our wedding,” you extend a hand, the playful smile reserved for namjoon, now directed at your king.
the king whom you died for. and the king who you’re telling to live his life, as you’ll live yours.
“wouldn’t miss my best friend’s wedding for the world,” he smiles, his hand grasping yours and you thought you’re going to combust from the electrifying sensation that runs through your veins.
but it’s only short-lived.
you pull your hand away and he summons his back to his side.
he turns to namjoon and gives him a pat on his shoulder, congratulating him again but this time, with a lingering stare before walking past the two of you and towards the parking lot.
“professor, i’ll get my purse from your office and we’ll be good to go.” you say absently before skipping to the opposite direction of where yoongi was headed.
with each step you take, you hear your heart breaking. just like the pieces of your memories that rains down like shards of glass.
you wonder if you’ll make it through this life without dying of a broken heart.
“i thought we fixed that?” namjoon murmurs behind you, just as you sling the strap of your purse over your shoulder.
“hm?” you turn to the man leaning against the doorframe, observing you with a crease between his brows.
“you called me professor again,” namjoon mumbles almost as if he’s sulking.
and your heart warms at the tender sight of a grown man acting like a child. you’re reminded of the reason you fell for kim namjoon. his gentle nature was the opposite of yours yet he laughed at your jokes like he laughed off your flirtatious advancements.
he told you he saw you as a student and lent you his scarf when he saw you shaking in the cold while waiting for your uber. the next time he saw you, at 11 pm before the library closes, he offered to drive you home even though his was in the opposite direction from yours.
“namjoon,” you say his name, a smile tucked on your lips as you wrap your arms around his waist and his arm that had been crossed over his chest instantly makes it way around you, “thank you.”
“for what?” his eyes light up like a christmas tree, dimple digging into his cheek.
“for choosing me,” you stand on the tip of your toes and he meets you halfway for the kiss.
and you loved min yoongi, you died for him.
you love kim namjoon, you choose to live the rest of your life with him.
x
note. so like, the title - technically, it’s like oc saying “my life is yours” to both yoongi and namjoon but in different lifetimes :D

My Only One — Steve Harrington
Tumblr media
warnings: badly written fluff ??
Summary: Youre sick and alone, in need of your one and only boyfriend. He hasn’t came home and you’re scared he’s cheating on you or doesnt love with anymore.
Pairing: Steve Harrington x Fem! Reader
Lydineo Radio: Cherry — Harry Styles
Masterlist — Requests Open
It was the winter of 1985, Christmas time was coming soon and you were about to spend Christmas with the love of your life, Steve Harrington. Both of you ended up together after the mishap from last summer. It really was just a confession when you two were drugged in the bathroom, which made you guys go out after it. You and Steve never told anyone and kept the relationship a secret. Maybe you two want to love each other without anyone knowing, it was better like that.You two both loved each other so much, you guys were inseparable.
It was one of those nights Y/N was sick, no one came over to check on her, not even her lover. Gosh, she felt so lonely but didn’t want to call him, she thought maybe she would sound clingy. Y/N decided to give her cousin a call.
”Hello?” Dustin’s voice rang.
”Hey,” Y/N choked out, trying to keep from crying,” H-how are you?”
”Fine?” Dustin replied on the phone, “Do you need something?”
”N-no I was just wondering how y-you were doing.”
”Steve’s not here by the way,” He said.
”What?” Y/N puzzled, “W-what do you mean?”
”I know you’re looking for him.”
”N-no.”
”Yes you are,” Dustin started, “I know you love Steve and you want him to stay with you.”
”He’s m-my friend,” She hesitates, “And you k-know I like him, but I just need him.”
Dustin sighed and explained, “Look, I don’t really know where he is. But you’ve got to tell him.”
Y/N already told him, they love each other, she didn’t tell Dustin, “I already did.”
”What?!”
”I told him during the summer,” She confessed, it was getting dark as the stars shined and glistened. Making her eyes look more clear.
”What happened?”
”Well, I-I”
”I’m going to have to kick his ass if he rejected you.”
”He didn’t,” Y/N mumbled, she could already imagine Dustin’s face even though they were on the phone. “We’ve been seeing each other for about 5 months.”
”What?! Really?” Dustin exclaimed, hearing him laugh and jump, “I knew it! I knew it! You guys are made for each other! Yes!”
Y/N laughed thinking of every single memory with Steve. Their first kiss, date, and all those random moments where they treasured the most. Those small road trips to somewhere out of town, the gifts they gave each other, the slow dances in the kitchen, the random I love you’s in between conversations, the singalongs they both shared every night, their cuddles while watching a film, and sharing their own clothes were everything to her, thinking about that made her eyes water.
”Something wrong?” Dustin’s voice snapped out of her thoughts.
”Well, now that you know Steve and I are together, I need him, I’m alone here and sick,” Y/N coughed.
”Oh, I would come over but my mom says it’s late,” Dustin replied, “Maybe I could call him?”
”No!” Y/N yelped, “Don’t! He’s going to think I’m clingy or jealous! Please don’t! I don’t want him to think that and then he’ll probably drop me!”
”You’re scared huh?” Dustin made up, “You’re afraid you’re going to loose him.”
”Yeah.”
”Well you have to talk to him.”
”No. Just,” Y/N trailed off. “Don’t tell him anything.”
”Okay fine, but you have to open up to him, isn’t that all about a relationship? Trust?”
Before Dustin could say anything else, Y/N hung up on him and laid on her side. She began to quietly sob, like the type of sob where you need to hold everything in and not scream to cry. It hurt her heart, why didn’t she trust him? Wasn’t that the whole point? Tears poured over her rosy cheeks and her heart continued to ache. Y/N let out loud sobs that filled the quiet home, the cold made her feel lonely and sad.
~
Steve walked inside his home, realizing it was late, he decided to dial Y/N’s number, no response. He had to help Keith and Robin at the Family Video store for a longer time, forgetting to let Y/N, his lover know. God, he felt guilty about leaving her alone, he knew it was their 5 month anniversary, and they were going to have a nice night together.
“Shit,” Steve mumbled while he slumped on the couch, “I messed up.”
Steve turned to the phone and decided to call Dustin.
”Hey, man,” Steve began.
”Hi.”
”Look, I need your help but you’ve got to understand-“
”I know,” Dustin finished, “You and Y/N are dating. She told me.”
”What?”
”Yeah I know,” He laughed, “You two were obvious, I found you guys making out in your car before you came inside to babysit us.”
”When?” Steve panicked, “Why didn’t you tell us?”
”Last week, and I thought maybe you two wanted it private.”
”Oh okay, well I forgot to tell Y/N that I was going to be working late and she’s probably upset because it’s our 5 month anniversary,” Steve explained.
”She was asking for you,” Dustin muttered, “She didn’t want me to tell you this, but she’s been wanting to call you and know how you are. Only thing is that she doesn’t want to sound clingy and get attached. I heard her crying.”
”Oh, I feel bad,” Steve whispered.
”Go apologize or make her feel special, I don’t know.”
Steve smiled and figured something out, “You’re right, thanks.”
~
Y/N heard the phone chime in her ears, she saw that the phone was ringing. She laid there and didn’t move a muscle, she hasn’t ate anything since she lost her appetite. Her head was throbbing and her body ached, just like that time when Steve helped her get to his house before they started seeing each other. Why did everything remind her of Steve? He was probably cheating on her already, it didn’t matter anymore, maybe he never loved her. No. She snapped out of those thoughts and turned to the side of the lamp, it glowed her goddess-like face.
Suddenly she began to hear footsteps going upstairs. She didn’t lock the door, shit. She was dead already and pretended to be asleep. Then a voice cried out, the voice was familiar to her.
”Love, you have to lock the door.”
Silence. Y/N didn’t bother and faced her back towards him.
”I’m sorry, love. Please,” He pleaded walking over to her on the bed.
”Maybe you were out with someone else,” Y/N managed to speak, holding back her tears, which was unsuccessful and began to sob.
”No, I would never be,” Steve laid on the bed and scooped her from the back. “You’re the love of my life and I can’t stand the thought of loosing you.”
“I-I don’t think you love me anymore,” Y/N wailed and sniffed, dropping a used tissue off the bed.
”What? No, no don’t cry, it hurts me,” Steve begged while he teared up, “I love you more than anything please don’t say that.”
”Well, I feel like we’re drifting apart,” Y/N mumbled and still faced her back to him, “ It gets lonely here without you, I don’t have anyone else, but you. You think I’m a burden and probably don’t want me.”
“Please, just listen to me for one second,” Steve held her tighter, “I’ve always wanted you, only you, even when I dated Nancy. You’re the most beautiful woman, I’ve seen, okay? I- I don’t even have the words to express my love for you. Ever since the day I kissed you in the bathrooms, I knew it was always going to be you.”
Hearing those words come out of his mouth made Y/N’s heart wrench into a spiral of emotions. Making her heat up more than she was with the high fever she had, Y/N turned to face Steve. “Stay with me.”
”You know I will,” He rubbed the tear off her cheek, “It’s not clingy to ask how someone’s feeling, I actually love that. Either way I wouldn’t dump someone because they were attached, you know I love you.”
Steve gently placed Y/N on his chest and kissed her forehead. “You’re burning up.”
Y/N groaned and looked to meet her eyes with his, “Can I kiss you?”
”Why do you ask?”
“....”
”Of course you can, you don’t need to ask,” Steve crept his lips onto hers, gosh, it still feels like that same day they kissed. The sparks flew everywhere, the kiss was gentle, but firm, the warmth on Y/N was heavenly and destroying to her since she was feverish. He pulled away, “I need you to stay here okay? I’ll get you something to make you feel better.”
”No, you don’t need to, I just need you here. I’ve missed you and you’re already the medicine I need,” Y/N hugged him tighter, not wanting to let go.
”I want to take care of you. I love you.”
”Fine,” She huffed bringing a smile on her face and he began sit on the bed. Steve was a sweetheart, he got her a small ice pack, painkillers like the first time he brought her to his house when she was drugged at a party, and her favorite sweets.
Both of them were now laying on the couch, holding each other, Y/N’s head placed on Steve’s chest. They fit like a perfect puzzle, watching a movie together. Y/N felt loads better being with her loved one, and it had been the best anniversary for her.
”Can I tell you a secret?” Y/N peeped, covering her face with the blanket.
”What is it, precious?” Steve pecked her lips and smiled.
Y/N giggled making Steve’s cheeks grew pink and she dug her nose into his neck, his strong yet smooth scent filled her nose, “I love you, more than anything.”
”I think I already knew that secret,” Steve cuddled and held Y/N with a firm grip, but held her like a porcelain doll in his arms. Y/N regretted saying that Steve didn’t love her, he actually loved her more than his heart could ever imagine. Both of them dozed off to sleep in each other’s arms in a hope for sweet dream longing in them With their one and only

Rainy Day- Din Djarin x Reader
This is the next chapter to my Days Filled with Love series. You can find the first part here! :)
Summary: When your family experiences a downpour, you have to find other ways to entertain yourselves.
Warnings: female reader, children
Tumblr media
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The soft sound of rain echoes throughout the house. All the lights are off as the soft glow of the morning light casts shadows onto the golden skin of your husband. His hands idly rub over your chest and shoulders. Every now and then he’ll just cup your mound of fat, not in a vulgar way but rather in a pleasant way. He has told you time and time again how he loves the comforting weight and heat that your body offers him.
His back is leaned up against the headboard as you lay between his large thighs with your own back against his chest. He happily fondles your mounds while you read one of your favorite books. A steaming mug of tea rests on the bedside table, long forgotten as you become enveloped with the characters' story. His head rests atop your own as he lazily skins over the various words you are so absorbed in.
The soft comforter lays across your lap, keeping all four of your bare legs nice and warm. Before you had kids your husband would often sleep as he was born, naked and very much not afraid. But after Grogu climbed in bed a few nights you both decided that in order to save his innocent eyes, the mandalorian should keep at least a pair of boxers on.
There have been countless moments where those boxers have saved more than one pair of little curious eyes. Mornings where the blanket is ripped off of your sleeping forms by various excited children. Nights where little bodies crawled in between the two of you in a search for safety from their dark dreams. But you can both agree that you would never trade those memories for the world.
You have to admit, in the mandalorians' arms you truly feel like nothing can hurt you.
“Cyare,” He gives your chest a squeeze as he tries to gain your fous, “pay attention to me! You’ve read this book so many times before.”
Without missing a beat you counter him, “And I’ve given you kisses about ten times more.”
A small smile breaks onto your face at his loud boyish groan. He settles back into silence and places his head again on top of your own. In reward you reach back with one hand and cup his cheek. When he leans into your touch you slide your fingers under his chin and scratch at the scruff there.
He hums out his approval and you just know his eyes are closed. Moments like these really make you ponder if you married a man or an oversized dog. A breath of air puffs from your nose as you imagine him with a fiercely wagging tail and two fluffy ears.
When you bring your hand back down to rest on your stomach he whines and rubs his head against your own, again, much like a dog.
You giggle softly at your new found discovery.
“What are you laughing at?”
“Mmm, nothing.”
He sighs and rests his head on your shoulder. His arms snake around your middle and pull you as close as he can into his grasp. He presses a kiss to the spot just below your ear.
Your shoulder rises slightly in response and his chuckle reverberates across your skin.
“I love you cyare.”
You lean your head against his. “I love you too handsome.”
***
You’re standing in the kitchen, vegetables frying in a pan as you stir some pasta. Screams of delight sound from upstairs and every now and then you can hear a crash. You pray that they don’t hurt themselves too bad.
Tobbi is asleep, strapped to your chest and Isabet is sitting in her high chair with some markers and paper. Grogu sits next to her as they draw together.
The kids are antsy, usually outside playing. However, the strong downpour outside has put a stop in their usual plans.
Reeza barrels down the stairs, laughing as hard as she can and running as fast as her legs will carry. She rushes into the kitchen and right into your form.
An oof escapes your lips as you wrap your free hand around her shoulders. “What is going on?”
She looks up at you and smiles, her two front teeth missing from when she lost them earlier this week. “Hi, Tobbi.” She pats his bottom before turning to look at the doorway. “Hide me!”
“Hide you?” You ask in amusement and brush her hair behind her ears.
An inhuman roar sounds from the top of the stairs and echoes through the house. “He’s coming!” She lifts the bottom of your skirt and slips beneath it.
“Oh!” You gasp as you feel her grab onto one of your legs.
“Shh, be quiet Mommy.”
Your eyebrows raise and you just shake your head, turning back to the stove. There is never a dull moment at the Djarin residence.
“Where are you, you little womp rat?” Your husband stomps down the stairs, in the same fashion your daughter did. Maker, they are all so similar to him.
He silently stalks over to the couch and as soon as he peeks behind it he growls as if trying to scare whoever was supposed to be there. When he realizes that his target is missing he taunts again, “You think you’re smart, huh?”
You watch with a smile on your face as he walks into another room.
A hand reaches out from beneath your skirt and opens and closes, obviously wanting something.
“Mommy can I have a carrot please?”
You laugh and hand a piece to her outstretched paw, “Of course sweetheart.”
She latches onto it and once again the hand disappears. “Thank you.” You can hear her munch away at the vegetable and you just smile and shake your head. Never a dull moment.
It takes about two minutes for your husband to make his way to the kitchen. His loud stomps sound through the house as he approaches you.
His gaze locks onto you and he prowls forward. Hands wrap around your waist and he presses a kiss to your lips. But he doesn’t forget to greet his youngest son.
“Hey little guy.” His facade breaks as he strokes the tuft of soft curly brown hair that Tobbi so proudly sports. Little brown eyes open and stare up at the mandalorian. A wide smile forms on your son's face as he reaches up and grabs your husband's finger. He babbles and giggles as the mandalorian tickles his little stomach.
Isabet yells out, trying to get her fathers attention. “REE VA!” Her arm waves down at your skirt.
Small giggles sound from beneath your skirt.
Your husband turns to look at Isabet and then scans down to your long skirt. He meets your eyes and his own swirl with amusement. Giving you one last kiss, he presses his finger against his lips, signaling you to stay silent.
Slowly he sinks down to his knees.
You hold your breath, waiting for what the bounty hunter will possibly do next.
As fast as he can, he whips your skirt up and grabs your daughter. She screams in delight and you gasp at the cool air on your bare legs.
He wraps his arm around her waist and pulls her from you. She tries to reach out and grab your legs but your husband pulled her away too fast.
She is nearly wheezing from laughing so hard. But in between the laughs she pleads with him. “Daddy, no!” and “Daddy, please!”
A loud battle cry sounds from the living room as Myles charges in and flings himself at your husband. But there is only so much a seven year old can do to the large bounty hunter. Your husband bends down and lifts Myles over his shoulder. Tobbi laughs and giggles as his little legs kick in excitement.
Your husband turns to look at you, smiling wide as he holds two screaming and laughing children.
You have never been more in love.
***
The three youngest kids have already been put to bed, so it just leaves you, Myles, Reeza, and a very sleepy mandalorian.
Reeza sits on her fathers lap while Myles sits on your own. A large blanket is wrapped around you and Myles as the two of you stare at the other members of your family.
Your husband's head leans back against the chair as he snores loudly. Reeza lays on his chest, her arms wrapped around his neck as she also snores, the spitting image, and sound, of the mandalorian.
“Does he always snore that bad?”
You giggle and press a kiss to the top of your son's head. “No, it’s just the angle he is at. Once he lays down it will be much quieter.”
He nods slowly, trying to analyze why the angle would affect his fathers loud snores. Once he seems to find an answer he likes, he asks another question, “Do I snore like that?” He sends a disgusted side glance at his father.
Myles was never really a snorer. When he was a toddler he was a mouth breather so naturally he snored a little, but now it has been fixed. “A little when you were younger, but it’s gone away now.”
He nods his head, eyes glassy as he thinks over this new information. “Good.”
You laugh at his simple response. “Yes, then when you have your own kids they won’t stare at you while you sleep and make fun of you.”
“Ewww, mommmmmm.” He whines but you just kiss at his cheeks.
“I know, it’s gross, I’m sorry.”
He looks up at you, gears turning behind those expressive eyes. “You’re kisses will never be gross, kids are gross.”
A loud fit of laughter erupts from your stomach. “Why do you say that?”
“Because I’ve seen you change lots of diapers. And I’ve gagged each time.”
You laugh and shower him with kisses again. “Maker, I love you.”
“I love you too Mom.”
Spencer was completely lost looking for purple and white birthday party decorations. He’d searched at least three different stores for Y/N’s favorite shade of purple. Penelope had been helping him plan her surprise birthday party and it was Spencer’s job to get the decorations.
“Hey! Reid, look what I found,” Penelope shouted as she ran up the aisle to meet Spencer.
She was carrying what looked like colorful cardboard picture frames that had “Birthday Girl” and all sorts of Happy Birthday messages and funny sayings written on the edge.
“Don’t you think Y/N will just love these?” Garcia asked as she tossed them in the cart.
“Oh, I’m not really sure what those are but, I’m sure she’ll love it!” Spencer said.
“It’s for taking pictures,” Garcia explained. “You hold them up to your face and take cute photos”
Spencer nodded in understanding. Y/N loved to take pictures and even though Spencer would rather not be photographed, their smiling faces littered her Instagram page.
“Thanks for helping with this, Garcia. I really just want to make this special for her. Y/N is just so amazing,” Spencer stopped himself because out of the corner of his eye he noticed Penelope’s raised eyebrows. His cheeks turned slightly pink at her reaction.
“Come on, Spencer! You should just tell her that you love her,” Garcia said waving her hands in the air.
“She has a boyfriend, Garcia,” Spencer snapped.
“I know, but Spencer, who's the guy that’s planning her surprise party? Who’s the man that’s in every single selfie that she posts Instagram? Who’s the team member that she always rooms with?”
“Garcia, she’s with Ian. I’m not going to ruin our friendship by telling that I love her. She’s with Ian and I’m not a home wrecker”
“You just both deserve to be happy, Spencer. She loves you. I just know she does,” Garcia and Spencer walked over to the cashier to pay for the decoration.
“If she’s happy, then I can live with it. Even if it feels like it’s breaking me” Spencer said at the constant beeping from the register rung in his ears.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“JJ, is that the food?” Garica called as she walked out of the kitchen into the small living room.
“Yes, Will’s coming in with the rest of the food from the car. Any word from Spence yet on where he and the birthday girl are?” JJ said as she placed down a tray of food onto the kitchen counter top.
“Spencer mentioned that he’s going to drive her over here. He should be getting there soon. She’s got no idea!” Garcia said excitedly.
“That’s sweet. What did Ian think of that?” JJ asked with a questioning tone.
Garcia threw her a look that caused JJ to raise her eyebrows.
“Spencer and Y/N are in love with each other. She won’t do anything because she feels like she’s with the kind of person that she deserves. Y/N is stuck in a loveless relationship because Spencer doesn’t think that she loves him. They love each other, Jayge,” Garcia said.
“And you aren’t the profiler,” JJ teased.
“I spend my days and nights with you all, it’s time that I picked up on all that profiler nonsense.” Garcia said, swatting JJ on the arm playfully.
“That or my obsession with period dramas. Jayge, the pinning is so strong with those too.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spencer knocked on the door to Y/N apartment at 11:32 AM. The time was important because he calculated that it would take her 45 seconds to walk from her couch, look through the peephole, unlock the door and open the door. In those 45 seconds, it would turn 11:33 AM, which was the time that Y/N was born.
Sure enough, the door opened and Spencer was greeted by a smiling Y/N.
“Happy Birthday, Y/N. Happy Birthday!” Spencer yelled from across the doorway.
“Oh my god! Spencer, how, I can’t,” Y/N said looking quite startled.
Launching herself from the inside of her apartment, Y/N threw her arms around Spencer’s neck. He seemed to forget himself and allowed himself to enjoy the feeling of her in his arms. Even though he was the one holding her, he never felt as safe as he did then in that moment.
“Thank you, Spencer. And you even came at the time I was born! Ah, what do I do to deserve you, Spencer. You’re-” Y/N starts.
“Hey, none of that. It’s your day. Your birthday, Y/N. Oh, I got you flowers. Um, but I think that we may have crushed them” Spencer said sheepishly.
Y/N looked at the purple and yellow flowers that Spencer held in her hand, along with a small package with purple wrapping and green ivy decorations.
“Oh, come inside, Spence and I’ll put those in water,” Y/N said, leading him in by the hand.
They walked into her kitchen and she reached to the third shelf of the cabinet and grabbed a vase. Spencer watched as she filled it with water and crushed up a baby aspirin to dissolve in the water. Y/N fluffed out the semi-crushed flowers with a small smile plastered to her face. She looked up at Spencer, who was a little embarrassed to be caught staring at her.
“I love them, Spencer. They are so beautiful,” Y/N said walking over to tug slightly on his jacket sleeve.
“I’m glad. Have you heard from your parents, or uh,” Spencer stops for a second, calculating if he should go down that road, “or Ian?”
“My mom called me, but no, I haven’t heard from Ian. He’s never been big on birthdays or holidays anyway, you know. He’s relaxed like that, I guess” Y/N reasons, more with herself than with Spencer, who just stares at her trying to figure out why in the world her boyfriend would not be here spending her birthday with her.
“Well, we have the whole day to ourselves, Y/N! We can go get brunch or take a walk in the park, anything you want to do, we’ll do it!” Spencer said, smiling at her.
“There’s any other way that I’d want to spend my birthday, than with you, Spencer.”
There it was again. A palatable tension in the air between the two of them. It wasn’t awkward, necessarily, just so apparent and thick that it could not possibly be ignored.
“I have something else for you,” Spencer started as he grabbed the package from the counter and handed it Y/N.
“Oh, Spence! You didn’t have to do that” Y/N said with an excited look on her face.
She opened the carefully wrapped package and tossed the paper on the flood with an eager grin on her face. Inside the small white box was a gold ring with intricately woven vines attached to a delicate chain link necklace. Y/N ran her fingers over the ring and necklace, almost like she couldn’t believe that it was real.
“Spence,” She started, but a small tear pooled in the corner of her eye and she tried to wipe it away with the hem of her cardigan.
“You really didn’t have to do this, I can’t even think of how you found this. It’s exactly like her’s! Oh, Spencer” Y/N said reaching forward to clasp her hands with his.
“Will you put it on for me,” She asked him, pulling her hair from her neck and moving closer to Spencer.
Spencer grabbed the necklace, a replica of her grandmother’s engagement ring, and tenderly latched the clasp. She felt her heart flutter slightly with the sensation of Spencer’s warm breath against her neck. His fingers burned against her skin as he moved her hair back from her shoulder to it’s familiar spot.
Spencer was very aware of the fact that if she’d lean back, her head would rest perfectly in the cook between his chin and neck. He’d feel her soft hair under his skin and be able to hold her close and safe. She moved much sooner than he’d like and faced him once again.
Y/N closed her eyes, just taking in the quiet moment between them. Spencer wished that he could reach out and put his hand to Y/N’s cheek. Maybe she’d melt into his touch. They could play pretend that, for even a moment that they aren’t just best friends, but maybe this is her engagement ring. It’s enough for him, for now at least. They just sit in silence, but he aches to rub thumb along her knuckles. Still, neither of them need to speak, the unsaid words are poetry in itself.
“Thank you, Spencer. This is so beautiful, I can’t even imagine the trouble it might have caused you.” You're worth it, Y/N, he wants to scream. You’re so worth it.
But instead, he just settles on giving her a small smile. Spencer will forever have to contend with his silence. He’ll resign himself to standing by her side and watching as she loves another man.
“Let’s go, Y/N starving”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I can’t believe I fought my wallet, Y/N! I’m so sorry that we have to go all the way back to my place,” Spencer feigned an apology and shot Y/N a side glance as he sped down the road towards his apartment.
“It’s okay, Spencer. You know that I wouldn’t mind paying for brunch, it’s not a big deal that-”
“No way, am I letting you buy brunch on your birthday, Y/N” Spencer said putting on the blinker as he pulled into his parking spot.
“Is that JJ’s car, Spence?” Y/N said as Spencer walked around to her side of the car to open the door for her.
“Yeah, her and the boys park here sometimes to go to the park down the street. Henry loves to feed the ducks,” Spencer said, not making eye contact with her.
“Look at me Spencer,” She said, reaching out to grab his sleeve. He kind of wished that her cold hand would slip into his and he’d be able to walk into her party in front of everyone she loves, holding his hand.
“Are you lying to me?” Y/N remarked playfully.
It took everything in Spencer’s being to look her straight in the eyes and tell her that he’s not lying. Especially when she’s looking in his eyes with that look on her face that just makes him want to scream that he loves her.
“Ha! Y/N, I’m completely offended that you’d suggest that I’m lying to you,” Spencer said as he walked up the stairs to his apartment.
“Hmm, I’m going to hold you to that, Mister”
“It’s Doctor for you, Y/N. Why don’t you just open the door?” Spencer said, handing her the keys to his apartment.
She gave him a suspicious look before she turned the key into the lock and stepped into Spencer’s apartment.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” Penelope jumped out from her hiding spot behind Spencer’s sofa.
The rest of the guests all chorused many Happy Birthdays as Y/N looked around in shock. Derek and Emily stood up to give her a hug, as JJ and Will stood holding balloons with Henry and Michael.
“Oh my god! You guys! I can’t believe you all,” Y/N said jumping up to hug a beaming Penelope.
“It was all Spencer’s idea, Y/N” JJ mentioned giving her friend a big hug and a kiss on her cheek.
“Spence,” Y/N started as she looked up at her friend.
“You really didn’t have to do that! Thank you,” She finished almost shly.
“I wanted you to have the best birthday, Y/N. We’ve all had a rough year, you deserve it,” Spencer said to her. It was almost like they were the only two people in the room, he thinks. It’s like that a lot, whenever he’s in a room with Y/N. They can be in a pack stadium with screaming people, but the only person he’d be able to hear is her. The only person he’d want to pay attention is her.
“I know you don’t like hugs, Spence, but it’s my birthday and I don’t care!” She said launching herself into Spencer’s already open arms.
The pair hugged and Spencer forgot himself for a moment. He grabbed her by the waist and spun her around the room as she laughed.
“Spencer!” She giggled. He put her down and looked at her smiling face.
“Thank you,” She said quietly, just to him.
“Of course, Y/N” He told her. Anything to make you laugh like that. Anything to allow me to hold you like that. Anything to make you happy.
He might have stared too long, because Derek camed and clapped him on the shoulder. It was a reminder that they were not the only people in the room.
“I’m going to go say hi to everyone,” she said before she left.
Spencer watched her leave and gave a longing stare in her wake. He felt Derek’s eyes on his face and couldn’t even bear to look him in the eyes. Besides Y/N, Derek knew Spencer more than most people. He’d be able to read his face, his feelings, and his love for Y/N in a moment. And that terrified Spencer.
“Penelope told me, you know.” Derek said, handing Spencer a mimosa.
“Hmm, did she know?” Spencer replied tight-lipped. He glanced over to where Y/N had walked over to, but he only saw Emily and Penelope talking with flutes in their hands.
“Also, Reid. That necklace she’s got on?” Derek questioned with a cocked eyebrow.
“Yeah. I got it for her. For her birthday. It’s a replica of her grandmother’s engagement ring” Spencer confessed.
Derek looked at Spencer in disbelief. He was in denial. They both were.
“You got a girl who’s got a boyfriend an engagement ring for her birthday?” Derek asked factiously.
“It’s a birthday present for my friend, Morgan.” Spencer said, taking a big gulp of his mimosa. The acid from the orange juice was unusually sour down his throat.
“Friends don’t get friends engagement rings, Reid.” Derek said before he left Spencer to ponder over this predicament.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Why don’t you let me or Derek call him, sweetie. I’m sure he just got stuck somewhere. Let me call him for you, please Y/N?” Penelope said calmly as she rubbed both of Y/N’s arms lovingly.
“Penny, he’s not going to come! He missed this on purpose. I’m so done with him-” Y/N said between sobs. Between the champagne and jello shots, she was not drunk but happily buzzed, that quickly turned into an emotional buzz.
“What do you want me to do, honey. Tell me and I’ll make it happen, okay. I’m so sorry, Y/N” Penelope told her, handing her a paper towel to wipe her tears.
“I just want to go home,” She cried.
“Will you get Spencer to take me home, he-” She got out before her shoulders were overtaken by sobs.
“He drove me here. And he won’t mind leaving, he hates parties. We were planning a sleepover anyway,” Y/N turning to hug Penelope.
“Hey, you don’t need that jerk anyway, Y/N,” Penelope said “I’m going to tell Spencer now, okay honey, I’ll be right back”
Y/N stared at the drink in her hand thinking about what should have happened. The pain of the moment was too pungent, so she settled on taking a swig of the rest of her drink. Those problems can wait till tomorrow, she thought.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Spencer! Reid, I need you over here,” Penelope called over to Spencer, who was entertaining the boys with a magic trick, much to their enjoyment.
“It’s Y/N. She’s heartbroken that Ian never showed up” Penelope said, filling Spencer in.
“That asshole!” Spencer whisper-yelled as Garcia led him to the kitchen.
“She just wants you to take her home,” Garcia said as they made their way to where Y/N was perched on the countertop.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry, he doesn’t deserve you. You know that right?” Spencer said looking at her teary face and glazed eyes. She didn’t look like herself. She looked faraway and sad; he’d do anything to make her feel better.
“I just want to go home, Spencer, please. Just take me home,” Y/N said with fresh tears falling down her cheeks.
“Come on, Y/N” He said holding her hand as they walked out the door, down the stairs and into his car.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Neither of them talked on the way home. Y/N looked out the window, just staring at the passerby in an almost wishlike state.
Spencer split his attention evenly to the road ahead and Y/N sitting next to him. Her head rested against the window and her feet were tucked under her legs in a crouched position. It was like she was trying to make herself look as small as she was feeling.
“We’re here, Y/N,” Spencer said softly.
“We’re home, Spence?” She asked, not even wanting to open her eyes yet.
“We’re home, Y/N.” He answered, putting a comfortable hand on her shoulder.
They walked upstairs to her apartment on the third floor just as quiet as their car ride was. She opened the door of her apartment and walked right into her bedroom.
“I’m just going to get changed, Spence” She said before shutting the door and shutting him out of her thoughts for a moment.
Not really sure what to do, Spencer sat on the couch. Was it really just a couple of hours ago that they sat here together? All of the sudden, Spencer heard what sounded like music coming from her bedroom. Spencer recognized that he wasn’t the best at modern popular culture, but Y/N choosing to play music at a time like this caught his profiler instincts.
And what’s a profiler without a genius tech expert, he thought as he dialed Garcia. Spencer placed his ear to the door and started to hear Y/N sob-ridden voice mix with an artist who he did not recognize.
“Garcia,” Spencer whispered.
“Oh Spencer! How is she doing,” Garcia asked. Spencer imagined that the whole party stood huddled in his cramped kitchen listening to every word.
“Ah, she’s singing?” Spencer said with a questioning tone.
“Oh, boy. Hold the phone so I can hear please, this is very important Reid,” Garcia ordered.
Spencer placed his flip phone so it’s speaker would pick up the sad notes echoing from the bedroom.
“Did you get that?” Spencer asked, returning the phone to his ear.
“She’s listening to her ‘cry her eyes out playlist’. This song is about a girl who’s boyfriend skipped out on her birthday party, so it’s hitting home right now, Spencer” Garcia explained.
“That’s a little on the nose, don’t you think?” Spencer asked.
“That’s the beauty of Taylor Swift, my dear. She’s got a song for every emotion. So maybe you can convince her to listen to her “this makes me believe in love” playlist. And maybe you can tell her how you feel, you know that you love her? That has Taylor Swift written all over it G-man,” Garcia finishes.
“We’ll see about it, Penelope,” Spencer said, trying to figure out a plan to make Y/N feel better. He hung up on his friend and put his ear back at the door.
Spencer felt a little bit uncomfortable pressing his ear up to the door. It was like he was invading a very private moment. As he strained to hear the song playing in the bedroom, Spencer’s legs  were rubbed against by a fluffy orange Maine Coon.
“Hey Mabel,” He said crouching down to pet the cat. “Our girl is really sad right now. You always make her feel better though, right May?” He said. Spencer thought that he really must be losing it if he’s having a conversation with her cat.
Suddenly, the music stopped and Spencer quieted himself to be able to hear what Y/N was doing behind the door. He heard her voice, maybe she was talking to her sister or Penelope. Spencer’s heart twinged with sadness that he wasn’t the one she went to when her heart was broken.
“Hey, Ian. We need to talk,” Her voice was muffled between the door. Spencer’s breath was coming heavier with the realization that she was talking with Ian. Ian her boyfriend.
He was not able to hear the other side of the conversation, not that he really cared what Ian said to defend himself. Spencer tried to make due by listening to Y/N’s quiet voice.
“Ian, you really hurt me-” She said, her voice getting high. Spencer knew that was a sign of Y/N getting ready to cry.
“No, you are going to listen to me. Then I am going to hang up and I’m going to toss all of your shit that you leave in my apartment in the trash!” she yelled on the phone.
“You really hurt me by not coming to my party, Ian. But what I realized, sitting here, that I don’t need you anymore. I feel like I’ve given this relationship everything I had. And you don’t even give me the time of day! Spencer was here for me today. He planned this! He was the one who want to make my day special and I love-”
Spencer, who was listening intently to the conversation behind the door, ran as far away from the door as he could. He did not just hear what he did, he tried to tell himself. She does not mean it. Ian will probably call her in the morning and she’ll forgive him. There’s no way that she means that she means that. The silence coming from her bedroom is only broken by her quiet sobs. Spencer was counting the seconds before he could barge into the bedroom and tell her that everything is going to be okay. If he was more like Derek, he’d open up that door and just hold her and tell her how much he loves her. But Spencer Reid is not like Derek Morgan, much to his disappointment.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N sat on the carpeted floor of her bedroom, mopping up her leaky eyes with an old t-shirt. The initial heartbreak from Ian not coming to her party was gone. It was a strange feeling, she almost felt light. Like breathing was a little easier or the world was a little clearer. The thing was, that if she thought about it, she really did not even miss him from her party. Spencer was the one who planned this, she thought. He was the one who gave her a thoughtful gift. He was the one she went to when she needed to go home. Spencer was the one.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spencer was broken from his internal thoughts when the door cracked open. Y/N eyes were puffy and red from crying. She made a motion to Spencer to come into her bedroom with her. Y/N led him over to the balcony window seat that overlooked the city street. It was still early in the evening, so the street was busy with passerby, bikers, and shoppers.
Spencer sat down tentatively next to Y/N, who made a movement to grab his hand. She intertwined her fingers with his and Spencer could not help but think of how warm her hands were in his cold ones. Or how her light blue nail polish reflected light.
“Spencer,” She said nervously. Y/N looked up at him with a shy look on her face.
“Do you love me, Spencer,” She asked him, looking him dead in the eyes.
“Of course I love you, Y/N. I love all of you guys. Penelope, Derek, JJ, Emily-” he said, regretting his answer almost immediately due to the look on her face.
“No, Spencer. I mean do you love me?” she asked, daring to make eye contact with him.
“I have loved you for years, Y/N.” Spencer answered. He lowered his gaze, fearful that maybe she would reject him, fearful that she’d think him loving her is a ridiculous notion, fearful that she’d realize that he’d never be the one for her.
“Spencer, you mean so much to me. And I think that today-” She started, putting her hand to his cheek in an affectionate manner.
“I think that today, I learned that you are always a constant in my life, you are always the person that I want to hold me when I cry. You are always the one who I want to make laugh. Spencer you are the one for me.” She professed.
Spencer sat there looking dumbfounded. Part of him wanted to believe her, believe that she could possibly love him like he loves her.
“I love you, Spencer. More than you can ever imagine.” She told him, dancing her fingers down his incredibly sharp jaw and down his neck.
Spencer, who seemed to come back to Earth, fixed Y/N’s necklace. He looked back at her, like it was the first time that he was actually seeing her.
Tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear, Spencer kissed her forehead saying “when I look at you, Y/N, I see something that I never really thought I’d ever get. I see a future, a happy one. I love you so much, Y/N and-”
Spencer’s confession was cut off suddenly by a pair of soft lips pressing up to his. His shock wore off quickly as Y/N kissed the corners of his mouth, up his cheekbones, and all the way to his eyelids. Her overzealous affection caused Spencer to belt out a high pitched laugh. Kissing her tasted like the future. And the future had never tasted so sweet.
[ Kaneki Ken x Fem!Fueguchi!Reader ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ warning: death | angst | decapitation ]
[ y/n Fueguchi is the same age as kaneki 18 ]
She covered her mouth, to keep herself quiet but that didn’t help from what she was seeing.
She couldn’t close her eyes, it was as if they are glued open. She was shaking trembling, she clenched Kaneki’s jacket.
Watching as the ghoul Investigator Mado, swung her and Hinami’s father, kagune now turned into a Quineque.
Decapitating her..
Her eyes widened, as she slid down the wall hiding behind the corner.
She couldn’t move, she was in far too much shock to do anything. Kaneki shook her, telling her they needed to leave.
She couldn’t move her legs at all, but she did before the investigators found them. But back at Anteiku she didn’t speak, she just walked upstairs and went into the room.
She’s just been staring out the window, with a blank stare. She felt as if she could’ve done something, she looked down at her hands.
Tears brim her eyes, she sniffles. She brings her hands to her face, and sobs.
“Mom. Dad.” She says, sobbing.
‘I could’ve done something.’
She wraps her arms, around Kaneki crying into his chest. She whimpers,
“I-I could’ve done something, it’s all my fault.” She cries, Kaneki wraps his arms around her.
“I-it isn’t your fault.” He says, and she looks up at him and cries.
“If you had done something, I-if you did. Hinami would’ve lost you too. We all would’ve.” He says, and she stares at him.
“Hinami needs you now more than ever.” He says, and looks down.
“I can’t do anything. I’ve never used my kagune, I’m too scared to fight.” She cries, looking down.
“I can’t protect her.” She says, crying into his chest. Kaneki pulls her closer, rubbing her back as she cried.
[ Time Skip ]
[Y/n] screams, seeing her mother and fathers kagune being used the the investigator. “Get away from her!” She shouts, her kagune coming out of her back.
It was her fathers, kagune, and her mother’s. Ever since [Y/n] was a child, she’d always spend so much time with her father other than her mother.
She gasps as her fathers rinakaku, hits her stomach she falls to the ground. Hinami cries, at the events unfolding before her.
She sobs into her hands, “We aren’t the monsters you are! All we want is a normal life, to live amongst you.” She says, looking down at her hands her kagune attacking Mado.
But [Y/n] stands to her feet, “I-I’ll protect the ones I love no matter wh-.” She gasps, as the Quineque pierces her kagune.
From the moment she was little, She was always so curious about her father about what he would do, and she wanted to be just like him when she grew up.
And now he was gone, so was her mother. And even though she had Hinami, she never felt so alone..
[ Time Skip ]
“Y-you okay?” Kaneki asks, and she nods smiling at him. Taking his hand, and intertwining her fingers with his.
“I’m as long as I’m with you.” She says, looking off into the distance. A few weeks later, [Y/n] confessed her feelings to Kaneki.
And he returned then, and after everything she’s been through. The happiness she had on her face, felt so real and not fake.
What he would never forget was Touka, “If you so much as break her heart, hurt her. I’ll kill you myself.” Touka said, coldly and Kaneki just nods shaking.
leave everything behind but me- part 4 (diane sherman x reader) (NSFW moment)
Tumblr media
warnings: same as before, stalking (like full on irl stalking as well as online), drugging, some talk of emotional/physical abuse in this one, death mention. this whole fic is just kinda dark... sorry. Also brief nsfw moment.
summary: this part is from Diane’s perspective. as she looks for her neurotoxin ingredients in a panic, she reflects on how she came into contact with you in the first place, and all the highs and lows of your relationship up to this point.
where the hell are they? thought Diane, looking for the last, most important ingredient in her neurotoxin.
She couldn’t believe it had come to this again. Just like with Chloe.
Diane wondered where Chloe was, what she was doing. About five years ago, with an excellent defense lawyer, she managed to get out of jail for what she had done. She looked far and wide for her stolen daughter, who seemed to be nowhere to be found. She still worried about what became of Chloe, but knew she was probably doing alright. And one day, Diane found a new obsession by the name of (y/n).
It was nearly two years ago now. Diane was beginning to give up on finding Chloe, after three full years of searching anywhere and everywhere with no luck. But she did find something else.
She was staying at a hotel in California, near the hospital where she gave birth to Chloe, in the vain hope that maybe, just maybe, Chloe would be around.
Diane didn’t find Chloe, but she found something else from her past. Her college reunion was being held in the exact hotel she was staying at. She didn’t plan on attending, but then she came face-to-face with her college rival. This woman was the only person who did better in her classes than Diane. Not only that, but she had multitudes of friends, boyfriends, you name it, while Diane had no one. The woman never let Diane forget how much better she was either. It wasn’t the worst thing Diane had ever been through, not by a long shot, but it was a disappointment for sure. College was supposed to be the place where Diane could finally feel like she belonged, and she always resented this rival of hers.
“Diane! We didn’t think you were coming! Oh here, have a seat!” said the woman.
“I’m so sorry about Roger. It was such a shock to hear about.”, she continued, reminding Diane of her dead husband
“Yeah, I still can’t say I’m over it, all these years later.”
“Yeah when the love of your life just drops dead like that, you never get over it, do you?”, she said, far louder than Diane would have liked.
“Can we please talk about something else?”
“Of course, I’m so sorry, Diane, I know it must be so hard for you!”
“Yeah. Um... what’s your family like?”
“Well we have one daughter. Her name is (y/n), and she’s a senior in High School,” said the woman. She then leaned into Diane and said, “But can I be honest? I never exactly wanted kids. Never liked them. I thought it would change when I had her but it didn’t. She’s so... difficult.”
Diane’s blood absolutely boiled hearing this, but she managed to keep a polite face, “But that’s your child. Don’t you love her?”
“There are some good things about her, I guess. I do love her in my own way, but I can’t help but feel disappointed. She’s just not what I thought she’d be. I’m sorry, I thought you may understand. I never get to vent my frustrations about her.”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t understand. But, do you, um, by any chance have a picture of her?”
“On my phone, somewhere. Let me look.”
After a while, she found a picture of (y/n). It was fairly recent photo of you at a restaurant, at what looked like a dinner with the whole family. You looked sad and lost, but Diane thought you looked sweet.
“She’s beautiful.”
“Thanks,” said the woman, almost stifling a laugh, as if there was no way Diane could have meant that.
“I’m sorry, I need to go to the bathroom.” said Diane, as she was starting to turn red in anger and the woman.
“I’ll join you, I need to freshen up a bit.”
“Fine.”
So Diane walked straight into a stall while the other woman followed. Diane started to cry, so angry at this awful woman. She had a child, a beautiful, sweet, girl who was alive, for God’s sake. Diane would kill for what she has, in fact she had killed for it before. But this woman didn’t care about her child, she didn’t appreciate you one bit.
She didn’t deserve you.
Then she heard the woman get into the stall next to her and she decided to leave. But the woman left her purse on the sink. Diane looked into her purse and found everything. All her information was in her wallet, and she took pictures of her address, phone number, and credit card numbers, as well as a couple of photos of you and your father. Diane quickly threw the last photo back into her purse as she heard her enemy get up, and she ran away, all the way back up to her room.
Diane looked at the photos, and started to look for your social media. You didn’t seem to post very often, or have many friends. Most of your photos were of you by yourself, or pretty things you took pictures of, and even a couple of sad poems you wrote. Poetry written by teenagers was usually laughably bad, but hers made Diane cry. She saw herself in you.
Poor little thing, Diane thought. She needs some love. But I can do that for her.
Diane spent about a month following you and your parents around, without any of you even noticing her presence. One day she snuck into their house and bugged it, so that there were feeds of different rooms streaming to her computer at all times.
Diane noticed you spent most of your time alone. You wrote in a journal a lot, and cried fairly often, hugging a teddy bear you had. You just seemed so burnt out from stress from school, stress from your job, pressure from your parents. You fought with both of her parents often. Well... fight wasn’t the right word. Usually, one parent would yell at you and insult you, and you would choose to either take it or not take it.
There was one particular instance where you snapped at your father, telling him how he abandoned you so many times. He didn’t take this well, screaming all kinds of insults. How Diane wished she could hold you, rock you, comfort you and tell you that aren’t any of the terrible things your father told you, and that she’s sorry that you never felt good enough.
Diane snuck into (y/n)’s graduation, too. She knew she couldn’t contact you yet, but she got so much happiness out of just seeing this milestone of your life. All you did was walk across the stage and take your diploma, but Diane beamed with pride for you as you did it.
After graduation, your parents were constantly threatening to kick you out, and the fights got worse, they crying got worse. Diane wished she was there, comforting you, holding you and giving you all the love that your parents didn’t. Diane looked for a window of opportunity into this girl’s life until she found the perfect one. You had put out an ad on facebook for anyone on the east coast looking for a roommate, and Diane put her plan into action. She made a fake account on facebook pretending to be a college girl named “Anna Johnson” and responded to the ad, starting to talk to and getting friendly with you. “Anna” suggested that you take a bus trip and offered to pay the fare, but you refused because you wanted to earn the money yourself. Diane’s heart warmed at your sweet messages, even though they were to “Anna” and not her. “I’ve never had as good a friend as you before”, “Who needs a mom when I have you giving me such great advice?”, “You’re the best!”, every little message that you sent to Diane made her fall more and more in love. Diane bought a little house on the East Coast with the money she got from selling her old house, and hoped everything will fall into place in her new life with (y/n).
Now during the bus trip, Diane needed to follow you closely in her silver minivan, and make sure not to lose track of you during layovers either. Her detour into the coffee shop scared her at first, but once Diane found you, it was the perfect opportunity to finally, after all these months of dreaming, meet you face-to-face. Her new little baby girl, finally. Diane slipped a powdered sleeping pill into her already tired girl’s coffee to make you even more sleepy and suggestible, getting you to come with her to her hotel room.
Back in the present, Diane found the rest of the powdered sleeping pills as she was searching through her medicine cabinet and closet. She got so distracted thinking about you, and all the horribly wrong things she had done to you.
It’s for her own good, all of it. She needs to be protected, she’s too pure for this world, to good, too sweet...
Diane searched through the drugs she had given you, thinking of all the best times the two of you have had.
The first day Diane had been with you in the little house was heaven on earth. Finally Diane had everything she’s been working for for almost a year now right there, in her arms. Diane wanted to give you everything you didn’t believe you deserved. The only catch was that you belonged to Diane, and Diane alone.
She got a job teaching Chemistry at the local High School fairly easily, as she had extensive knowledge (even more extensive than she may have let on in her interview), of the subject, and the school district was completely desperate for competent science teachers. Diane found faking the background check easy, she used her maiden name and an incorrect date of birth and they didn’t ask her about her arrest at all. And now she had her new life set up. A house that she owned, a job to put food on the table, and you.
The next best day for Diane was the day you finally kissed her. Diane was starting to fall in love with you in a more romantic, even a more sexual way, but didn’t know if you felt the same way about her. Then, during one of your movie nights, you kissed Diane, and she felt overjoyed. She kissed you back and finally led you to the bed and fucked you, like she had been thinking about doing every night at this point but was too scared to actually initiate until now. She was in love with the feeling she got from kissing you, from pleasing you. It had been so long since Diane had been this intimate with anyone, and she was your first. And it was a real awakening for the both of you.
It felt so good, you felt so good. This relationship you had was so incredibly wrong in so many ways, but it just felt so right.
Why did it have to change?
Of course, there were still some hard moments. Even Diane admitted that there were times when she could be irrationally possessive of you, getting angry when someone even looks at you the wrong way. She knew that her possessive, obsessive attitude could scare you, and you would even blame yourself for it, but she didn’t know how to stop. She knew that you were getting scared she would become more difficult to please, like all the other people that have been in your life.
Or the times that you would cry, and it happened so often. You would get sad and Diane would hold you and tell you:
“It’s ok baby, you’re here now, you’re with me. I love you more than life itself. You’re gonna be okay, my little angel.”
One night Diane woke up to you crying into your pillow, and immediately grabbed you.
“What’s wrong, baby? What happened?”
“I- I was afraid that you might- that- one day- you might not want me anymore... what would happen if you d-don’t want me....”
“Listen, I will never not want you. You are all I have, remember? And you’re all I need. Come here, that’s right. You’re my baby, all mine.. shhh....”
Or, there was the time you asked about the scars on Diane’s back. She was mortified, but finally told you about her terrible childhood. The horrible abuse from her mother until her death, the foster home, everything. Her desperation to become the mother she never had. You hugged her tight.
“I’m so sorry, Diane, I had no idea... and to think I complained about-”
“Baby, don’t compare your life to mine. All that matters now is that it’s you and me, and I need to take care of you.”
“Sometimes I think I should be the one taking care of you, Diane.”
“Trust me baby, you do so much more for me than you think.”
Then Diane found it. The rest of the paint thinner. And she was ready to take away all your sadness once and for all, and make you hers forever.
