Oh my god. I just realized something. I think i'm onto something. This is wild. I finished watching s6 of ouat over a month ago, and i just saw a random rumbelle post, and something clicked in my brain.

Lacey liked Rumple's dark side, but he still wanted Belle. We already knew that.

Belle kept wanting Rumple to become someone else, she couldn't accept him the way he was. We knew that too.

Rumple says he loves Belle because she sees the good in him. But in later seasons, he realized that he felt unable to become who she wanted him to be. He accepted who he was, didn't want to change anymore, but still loved Belle for seeing him as a better man than he actually was. For putting hopes in him that would be dissapointed again and again.

That's not a positive thing. That's not "you make me believe in myself and in my ability to change." He's convinced he won't change. He knows he will only cause them both pain. And he loves that pain.

You can't convince me otherwise, Rumple has deep-rooted self-hatred. He thinks he deserves to suffer. His love for Belle isn't positive. It's masochistic. He unconsciously uses it to punish himself. He can tell himself he has accepted his dark side all he wants, deep down, he still hates himself for not being able to change. And he wants Belle to remind him of this. He gets a bitter satisfaction out of dissapointing her again and again. "See? I'm a failure. No one could ever love me for who i am."

My Candy Love New Gen Ep.7 Review!

Spoiler Ahead, Obviously

Another day, another short episode. I think off the bat, im dissapointed with how short the episodes are. I really think they need to get it together with the amount of content. It's just not enough and it doesn't help that we have to wait for almost a month every single time for a new ep.

I just had to point this out because since i've been replaying the Eldarya TO, i just started to appriciate how beemov games used to have longer, more filling, structured episodes and stories compared to now. Maybe this is too early for me to say since we are only 7 episodes in. Who knows? Maybe Beemov will actually start to have an enemies to lovers arc between the writers and the new gen game. Anyways..

The ep starts out with Candy complaining to my love Elenda (and soon the whole office) about how difficult it is to live with her annoying mom and sister. Seriously, we see from the flashback that Candy's mother basically insinuates that she didn't think she would have to live with her adult ass daughter in her house. Both Tasha and the Mother(i forget her name) were pretty rude abt it in my opinion. Instead of talking with Candy about house rules they just go on like nothing happened, and make it clear that she is just a guest. Not a part of the household.

Mentioning of TikTok was thrown in one scene for good mesure lmao

As they all hear the story, Devon decides everyone in the office should help Candy look for an apartment. They apperantly don't have anything else to do the whole day.

It almost feels like a little bit Mary Sue-ish. Everyone taking turns wasting their free work hour trying to find Candy an apartment, making it a competition seems comical and unrealistic. (not everything has to be so realistic but it's just ridicilous atp). They are literally racing to find this rich adult woman a place to live...

When it comes to the actual apartment hunting, Thomas's route was a roller coaster 😭. Since apperantly no one rents apartment to stinky stinky singles, LI s jump in to save the day, pretending to be our partners during the apartment showing.

Thomas had both me and the realtor gagged the whole time.

Just as we think we are over with this, leaving the apartment, he kisses Candy.

I saw some people saying they didn't like how this kiss came about and i have to agree. He calls it "our little ritiual" , apperantly to convince the realtor. We know that's bullshit and it was kind of an excuse to kiss her. I don't like that Candy is in a cornered position to accept the kiss and it felt kind of unneccesary, no matter how hyped everyone was about it.

Like if this is the dude we will eventually gonna fall in love with& date, it's kind of a bummer that their first kiss had to be "fake". I know they thought of it like a little romantic game Candy had to play to get close to Thomas but i really think even for this it was kinda underwhelming.

I also saw other illustrations from different routes and Roy's has to be my favourite. I wish it was more romantic like that and actually made sense. Anyway..

Anyways, after they leave the house, Thomas gets back to the nonchalant attitude again (obviously) which, gagges Candy again.

Like i said, i don't really like how this kiss happened and i think even for Thomas this was kind of crazy.

If i was the realtor, i would honestly block their numbers and hope that Thomas wouldn't show up at my house to wear my skin the very same night. He deserves some kind of compensation.

I'm gonna keep doing these reviews no matter who reads them, this is for me and my ranting. But i hope you like it! Oh, I also will rate these episodes out of 10.

For my first rating on this series, I'm givinf this episode an underwhelming 5/10

Best part is that this ain't even about the house anymore, even realtor knows he fucked up and they are not gonna choose this house.

ok so I saw that anon giving very persuasive reasons to be a zukaang shipper, and I like was writing a bunch of tags on the reblog so I just decided to make my own post 😭😭 it was way too many tags. I have a lot to say about zukaang guys.

Everything’s under the cut, but this gets very chatty very ramble-y fair warning.

anyways the part I was mostly talking about was how zukaang has a lot of what mainline ships have to offer. but like, more. and like no offense to the ships mentioned, I think they’re cool banger ships! I'm just biased towards zukaang. ofc I'm gonna think it has everything those ships have to offer and more.

though I do like these ships, there might be a little negativity towards them in this post, but I assure you, I do not mean it in any mean-spirited way.

zkka for example. I liked it a lot at first, but then I got into zukaang, and, it's just no comparison. zkka is still amazing tho it's a really silly and heartwarming ship, and sokka deserves a popular gay ship as a treat. I like them 💙❤️

but text wise?? zkka went on a two part prisonbreaking journey. zukaang spent the whole show revolving around each other with multiple key episodes exploring their dynamic. zkka can't compete with that.

and sorry to bring ztara and ktng into this as well but I gotta.

Listen, ktng is great. I think they’re really cute! Though there’s tons of discourse about which ship should’ve been canon, I think the creators made the right choice making this one canon (it was set up from the beginning, and I do think it’s the more popular ship. I think they would’ve gotten MORE backlash had they not made it canon). BUT, they’re literally middle schoolers. Of course they DO end up together, but the chances of that actually happening are off the walls! They only stayed together because of bryke, fan popularity, and what the show ended on (it would be really awkward if it ended with them getting together, and then bryke saying they broke up later. I get that. I don’t think they made a bad decision there). It’s just a liiiiiiiittle unrealistic (and I don’t wanna hear nothin bout “this is a fantasy world everything’s unrealistic.” You know what I mean go smart off somewhere else). Zuko and Aang, on the other hand, are bound by fate. They’re best friends, and they stay best friends for like, ever. Platonic soulmates, ying yang, does that not ring a bell? They’re not separating, it’s in the code. Though Katara and Aang don’t break up, I still think, realistically, it’s possible that they’d last a couple years then grow apart. Meanwhile, Aang and Zuko get closer and closer and then boom: just as much gay tension as roku and sozin. But not doomed this time.

ztara I can’t see happening based on the text. they have a lot of sweet moments from them talking about their respective moms' death (kinda sorta death) to like zuko accompanying her for "revenge" (not really revenge) to katara fighting azula with zuko. and their dynamics are cute like rivals to lovers and stuff. but, I just can’t see it. Plus, zukaang has that.

zuko’s mom was taken away from him, and aang’s father figure was threatened to be taken away from him. but it doesn’t stop there. no, shortly after these events, zuko was banished from his nation while aang fled from his. (MIRRORING CHECK DO I GET A MIRRORING CHECK???) zuko might’ve gone with katara to tie up loose ends of her past, but zuko went with aang to learn from the past for the future. and not to mention, on that journey, zuko and aang met mirroring red and blue dragons that formed a heart around them then proceeded to shroud them in rainbow flames while they learned firebending from the first firebenders not unlike oma and shu who were lovers from opposing sides of a war. (DO I HEAR SYMBOLISM AND STORY COMPARISON???) and zuko? he said “it’s my destiny for me to help the avatar.” and he DID. Yeah fighting azula was a culminating moment of his character arc and was imperative to taking down the imperial fire nation, but do you think zuko would just go attack his sister if she wasn’t a threat to Aang and peace? No, he would not. And you may be saying “uh yeah you said ‘and peace,’ zuko’s doing this because he believes it’s the right thing, and to take down his corrupt family, and for peace, not Aang.” BUT DO YOU SEE IT. AANG AND PEACE ARE LIKE SYNONYMS TO ZUKO. THEY COINCIDE. THEY’RE THE SAME THING. And in that Azula fight Zuko was given a MIRRORING scar with Aang. Aang’s back scar and his chest scar. (DO I HEAR DEVOTION???)

also headcanon-wise, I just really think Zuko is gay, so the ztara thing also kinda falls apart at that for me. Zuko just doesn’t?? Treat women very well??? Sorry, it IS kinda true tho. For so much of his life being spent with his main friends being only girls, he does not treat the women he dates very well. He actually treats Katara the best out of the girls he interacted with in my opinion even though he totally crushed her trust first try. (Some ships are about to get stray shots here while I explain this so sorry 🙏🙏)

Alright now here’s Zuko just not being the best with girls in general with romantic and platonic relationships. Not saying he hasn’t had his good moments, but, if I knew him irl I’d be trashing him for how he treats girls. Him and Mai always had continual problems on both ends. Zuko never really seemed interested in her genuinely, but on top of me just not really feeling the chemistry, Zuko was unhealthily distrusting and jealous of her like an object, he broke up with her through a note, and she risked her life for him and he didn’t even think about busting her out of jail. he really didn’t think about Mai much at all when he was with team avatar, and when he did, it was usually with weariness. he never really seemed upset that he was away from her. Now there was the “that’s rough buddy” conversation, but that’s when Zuko said “oh yeah leaving the Fire Nation was EASY” to which Sokka brought up leaving behind loved ones and Zuko went “Oh yeah, I had a girlfriend. Bummer I had to leave her to go FOLLOW THE AVATAR. AGAIN.” I was never convinced either of them actually liked each other romantically. The best thing I can say about their relationship is that Mai didn’t want Zuko to die, and the hardest part about Zuko’s easy decision to leave the fire nation was leaving Mai. For Katara, obviously, he severed things with her pretty early on, but was able to regain her trust so kudos to him. I guess he and Suki’s minimal interactions were positive I don’t really remember them sorry. Zuko DIABOLICALLY denied Toph her field trip. And Jin from Ba Sing Sei. j1nko is actually the Zuko het ship I like the most and that’s just cause I think they’re cute, and also this is like one of the times Zuko does something romantic that the girl actually likes. And he just never saw her again. Like I understand he was in a bit of a complex situation, but he could’ve gone to visit her or give condolences once everything settled down?? imagine you go on a date with this guy and the next day he’s ghosted you so hard he’s not even in the same city anymore? Jin was probably so heartbroken and then she sees HE’S THE FIRE LORD?? Nah I’d be so mad. Zuko has issues with girls. Men tho? I don’t see this problem arising. He just really reads as a gay dude to me.

Switching topics abruptly here, angsty zukaang has its place, but me personally, zukaang is not one of my angsty ships 😭😭 they worked so hard to be together y’all let them have it. There’s multiple solutions to the kid problem in my opinion, some more ideal than others but yknow. they could find out they loved each other after they already had kids and got a divorce? They could get surrogate mothers? They could say “screw you” to having to have bio kids and just adopt (and probably not announce it publicly cause how would the people know? Just keep them believing.). My personal favorite, they could avatar magic it and bring in some storks ectobiology and poof! magic bio baby they’re both blood related to. Hey, crazier things have happened. And zukkang has made a world where they can both be together and it’s beautiful and lovely and sweet ❤️🧡

you know? Could you imagine being a character in kique's comic. and lets say that again said characters do get upset about things etc etc, but they kinda just sit on their ass and do nothing about it?. I'll be honest, lately I have this frustration on the way kique handles a characters "problem" going back and seeing in previous pages. and well I strongly dislike how he constantly uses "sex/intercourse" as a clutch to somewhat "cure" a trauma or something. To me, I feel that is just very unrealistic. and because since kique is die hard trying to push these feral, animal and dog characters to come off as human. I'll talk about it as it was reality. First of all, If I was a person who say was in a relationship and my partner was in a bad state of mind mentally. I wouldn't be a person and throw myself towards them sexually, I feel its just wrong in a way? If anything using sex comes off as more of a "in the moment" type of thing. If you get what I mean, like a distraction? Personally I don't think it helps anyone get better when mentally unstable. And I'm just tired of kique's characters being magically cured all because they slept with each other. like huh? again it's just a distraction. But it's used as a constant cycle in his comic. Realistically it would come off as something unhealthy. like i'm sorry but if you had a partner that was constantly in a bad mental state or something and need sexual intercourse just to make them feel better. UGH it was just get really tiring you know?. like it would lose the whole purpose of being "intimate" with your said partner because it's constantly forcefully used in a way that doesn't come off as romantic. Half the characters in this comic who did do the deed. For me it wasn't romantic in anyway, cause fuck kique's patreon supporters. They clearly don't understand the difference. Because let's be honest here, but who in their right minds would wanna have sex with each other knowing 1. A family member of yours might die due to a raid, clearly knowing about it. But you sit on your ass and screw someone out in public? like what? (Feaf and Rhov) like you couldn't wait until there was a bit of peace in your life first? 2. Finding out that your family member died, so someone forces themselves onto you. ok look we all know that rogio is a scummy predator. but if these characters were written more realistically. Then I am certain roamer would of pushed rogio away. Heck I wouldn't wanna sleep with someone after I just talked about my dead friend. That's just weird 3. Knowing that partial family members of yours are nearby. So out of excitement you forcefully kiss someone, then proceed to lead them on? I know keirr and bootleg kargo didn't sleep with each other. But I'm trying to point out that the whole situation wasn't romantic in anyway and the fact that people were shipping them just because they "kissed" is ridiculous. It pretty much just shows that a lot of the patreon people are in it for the sex stuff. I suppose it is ok to have adult content in your comics, movies and stuff. But it being a constant cycle of the same stuff happening, It never really sat right with me and I don't enjoy it. Because with kique's characters there is no chemistry between the characters what so ever. it all so forced. but you see what I am trying to get at here? None of these characters talk about there problems or try and fix them. we just get constant self pity, having sex and then everything is all magically better. They already wrote alrernative universes , same way they do everything...and there is the unspoken baby shield . The MC is a strong wich , only she can use anchient magic . Sebastian and Ominis too camed from strong / talented family . Their child could be more special , stronger bloodline . With the pregnancy whould came the interesting questions : Which one the father , when , how she'll hide from everyone in the 6th year, with illusion charm ? So thatswhy i asked ,why taboo the pregnancy subject for every artist if the "very detailed lovemaking" not shame ? 🥲

Now I wanna point out that I haven’t really read any actual full blown fanfics, at least ones that include underage smut as you’ve mentioned. The closet I’ve ever gotten was one shots and that’s it. I’m not a fanfic writer myself, I’ve only written some random head canons.

BUT! I have drawn somewhat naughty things, although not as smutty as what I’ve seen other artists do 👀 I do have a couple of… some… I guess you could call “teasing” artworks and I will do more but anyways that’s besides the point—

What I get from your ask is: Why don’t artists ever talk about the consequences after these smutty scenes? (Please correct me if I’m wrong)

Which is a fair question! You know if we are talking canon, this is late 1800’s we are talking about. They didn’t have a plan B or a healthy way to abort a pregnancy. But also there is the factor that there’s only a CHANCE you get pregnant. Now unless they’ve written in there fic like 6 smut scenes then yeah— it is a bit unrealistic unless the character is someone who actually can’t conceive any children (which would be so sad and angsty ngl)

Back then having intercourse before marriage was considered a sin, they believed that sex was gate kept by married people only. So… why not have one of the boys ask MC to marry her? Well you see… back then it was very common for young women and in this case girls to marry… but the man had to be 21 or older legally if they wanted to marry someone younger. So the boys can’t marry MC while they’re still in school.

Now, back to the question. Why don’t artists talk about the pregnancy? The truth is, it would probably impact the story in a negative way. Meaning that if MC has a child at 16, then she basically has a ball and chain on her ankle because she was seen as a widow (and many other words) which was seen as a HUGE red flag to others way back then. And the boys can’t do anything about her reputation… they basically just ruined it by making her pregnant before marriage.

The thing is that back then it was taboo to talk about pregnancy and even sex for that matter. Specially when they’re young and not married. Those conversations were reserved for when they want to procreate.

Personally for me, I don’t think MC should be having a sex life at the age of 15 or 16. I mean don’t get me wrong, it can STILL happen, just because it wasn’t excepted back then doesn’t mean it never happened. I just don’t think teen mom really fits well with MC (or at least mine). Plus babies, although are cute, can be a huge pain in the ass while you are studying at Hogwarts while beating up poachers and killing trolls with the imperius curse

Now I do over analyze things you can thank my AP teach in hs for that. And this is only an opinion with a hint of research I did. You do not have to agree with me. As an artist I’m not ready to make that kind of content and this is just my way of thinking. I don’t speak for other artists, so if you want to write underage smut, and even a teen mom MC you do you! Don’t let my words dictate what’s right or wrong because in reality of it all, there is no right or wrong.

There can be other factors like:

Artists not feeling comfortable writing about pregnancy

Just wanting to write smut because they can

There might be hidden context that the artist is keeping secret until the right moment

They are literally writing in a AU where pregnancy can be avoided (modern AU for example)

We are talking about an AU where there are witches and wizards, there could easily be something that could prevent a pregnancy if you just make a HC

But I think it just all comes down to artists comfort level. I mean I’m comfortable with adults having kids because it makes sense… but at 15??? Unless they were married which is was very common for young females in the Victorian era, I don’t think MC having a child while still in school would be realistic in that time period. Honestly women going to school is unrealistic too but this is a different AU… things aren’t going to be realistic.

A woman can get married at a very young age… BUT— the man has to be 21 or older if he wants to marry someone under the age of 21. Because in England of 1823, it was legal for a man and women to marry at the age of 21. Although it seems after 23 men could easily marry a female from 12 and up without parents consent (I know, sickening)

In the Victorian era, although it was common to see young women with older men, the average age a women would have a child is around the age 21-23

Females who got pregnant in their teens were actually punished for their “sins” and were actually forced to put their child up for adoption in some cases

It wasn’t common for people to have premarital sex until 1920

Henry would never willingly play in a school play, even less in a musical, but when Jane got in, he said no guys was allowed to play her boyfriend, so he joined. He hated everything of that. Playing a guy who hasn’t a mother and has daddy issues ? That’s so unrealistic. Even more knowing the guy’s mom left because of the dad’s abuses… nonsense 🙄

Anyway, he was a good JD, surprisingly, he can sing. People fought for him to abandon the musical, i mean, he isn’t really popular… a bully with anger issues shouldn’t be allowed in school fun.

They changed their minds. Mostly the girls. Henry Ace ass wasn’t ready for the waves of fangirls coming from everywhere, the guy was just a jealous boyfriend, and ended up somewhat popular. His fav song of the musical is our love is god, and to play around, he sings it with Jane even after the last representation.

Jane tried only because she liked musicals. She thought she’d had a figurative role (she hoped saying « why don’t he date me » in beautiful) but ended with the main role.

(First one when playing dead girl walking, drunk Veronica sneaking in JDs bedroom, second Veronica who doesn’t know how to react when her bff fall in Heathers trap in candy store, 3rd you’re welcome. Last one, Veronica at the end. You’ll forgive the colors, I love how it turned out.)

They took off her glasses during the « makeover scene » in Beautiful, because you know, when you want to show a girl makeover in cinema (and musicals) you take off her glasses and put down her hair. It was Hard for Jane, since she can’t see shit without her glasses. She didn’t expected being able to be Veronica, but loved the experience. She loves the song you’re welcome, Ram and Kurt were lovely during the rehearsals, and were fun to be around (I know. If we’re talking about earlier heathers, it should be Blue and not You’re welcome. Well, I said fuck chronology, I prefer You’re welcome.) but her fav song to play was Fight for me.

Never mention dead girl walking in front of any of them. (Btw, did you hear the dead girl walking sang by ladybug and Luka ? Dude, it’s gold. I love them)

She would have loved playing Matilda (and being Matilda) in another school musical, and maybe it will happens. Henry in another hand said he would never do it again, even if she had to kiss a boy on stage. (But god… dead girl walking)

I hate my birthday.

I've always hated my birthdays. You can guess why I'm writing here again after almost 2 years. Cause it's my birthday! I don't know, whenever June strikes, it's like this eerie feeling always lurks inside my brain. Like, I know that nothing bad's gonna happen but it makes me feel worse the closer we get to the date and the date is now.

The closest thing I can compare it to is how I feel about Sundays, but like amplified. I've always hated Sundays too. At first, I thought that it's because we go to church on Sunday nights, maybe it is, but I don't think so now. I think I hate it because it's so mundane. I don't look forward to the mundane, munday, monday, worldplay, which like Garfield, I don't look forward to too.

On birthdays, it's always going to be mundane. And if it's not, I don't think it can live up to my expectations of what I want to happen. Which is weird, because when I think about it, I don't really want anything. I don't remember most of my birthdays, I mean sure I remember what we did, what we prepared, who came and everything, but other than that, nothing. What is other than that is the question. I don't know, man. Maybe I'm putting too much shit on it. I think what makes me feel like shit on my birthday is that we go through the year existing, like any other human being, nothing special. But I think on birthdays, I think I long for the feeling of being special. Maybe that's not the right word, but you get it. I expect people to make me feel special, I think. And the problem is, I don't think anyone can because I won't let them. I'm not used to people making efforts for me, and I think it gave me unrealistic expectations the more I expect it to happen, if that makes sense.

Anyway, life update, I'm 24 years old now. I've got a job for almost 2 years. How is it? It's meh. It's a good job, it pays decent, but it's not challenging for me, which is what I need now, I think. I've prolonged taking the board exams for god knows what reason, maybe defiance, but I'll be taking it this October. It's given me anxiety and stopped me from doing anything productive the past 2 years so I think I should just get over it. I've got three months to take it seriously and I think I will. Family, I found out something this year that I think I've always known. My world collapsed and it changed me and my plans. This feeling deserves another post so I won't get in detail so yeah. Love? It's good, I think.

You can kinda notice that my writing got worse over time, which means I haven't been writing in a while, which means I haven't been overcame with sadness, anxiety, jealousy. Nope, I was but instead of writing here, it just exploded. Which means that I should be writing here more often. Haha. I should.

That was a long rant, made me feel kinda less not okay.

i love that Jason’s anger is described as cold. imo it’s so often ignored that his anger is a special brand of calculative bitterness. he’s exaggerated to this anger issue guy when that’s closer to Bruce. everything we see in utrh suggest that this guy is a very intelligent planer, and that his anger doesn’t exist despite it but fueling it.

i love that Jason’s angry at Bruce and co waving around the rich privilege. it’s so in character for someone used to unfairness to be stubbornly against using that unfairness for his benefit, at least someone morally righteous.

also, not writing the family apologizing after their fights rang so true. I saw your note and idk if it’s just you and me but I can tell you we don’t really apologize with words after fights, and it strikes me as strange when people do in fiction. I think it also depends on how close you are with your family members.

the part with Jason helping Alfred cook and dicing a pepper made me laugh lol knowing you’ve been struggling with writing about cooking 😭

Jason adopting children everywhere is also SO in character. idk I have my own aus and hc and he’s one of the batfam characters I can see adopting children the most.

I totally agree with the anger thing! I also think that a cold anger is more restrained, channelled inward. boiling rage is all fine and good when you have the luxury of reacting but most people from shitty homes will say, you often don't get to react the way you want to and that kind of anger manifests a lot differently. the anger you can't let you. it's not the throwing things, breaking dishes, screaming anger.

I feel like Jason is a character that follows his own morals pretty strictly and he doesn't appreciate corruption in any sense. so to him, it's just as bad even if it would be in his favor, I'm so glad that rings true!!

I too feel uncomfortable when there are perfect apologies in fiction. like, I get that we get to write the apologies we wish to receive, but they feel so unrealistic. sometimes they're realistic, but usually not, especially when they happen right away.

Yk Lila (is that even her name? Cerise? Whatever her name is I’m just going to be calling her Lila for simplicity) seems interesting to me. Why does she have at least 2 if not 3 different identities? How did she turn out this way? Why does she want the butterfly Miraculous? What is her plan going forward. What the heck did she see at the end of the season 5 final? She looked so scared. I hope we get some answers in season 6.

I have to be honest I don’t really like her as a person but as a character she’s very interesting. Similar to Chloé in a sense I guess but also different. I don’t really like Chloé as a person either but when it comes to her as a character I find her interesting. When it comes to Chloé she has both potential to be a villain but also potential to get a redemption if done right (well maybe not anymore after season 5 but up until season 4 final she had that chance). I like reading Chloé redemption fanfics because of it. Tho I don’t like the ones where the redemption takes place over only a span of a week since that seems unrealistic. For Chloé to change she needs first to learn that she can’t get everything she wants considering how spoiled she is that takes a significant amount of time to get into her head. And that’s just the bare minimum.

After that she needs to do some self reflecting. Why does she want to change? It’s not enough if she only wants to change because of the Bee Miraculous or because others tell her to. She needs to want to change from deep inside of her. The wish to change needs to come from her and not from others or from what they can give her. At the same time send her to therapy. This girl needs it. Only once she has begun to self reflect can the redemption actually begin. All of this is just the groundwork. The real redemption can only start now. This is also precisely why the presumed „redemption arc“ in the show has failed. None of this groundwork has been laid.

At least a few months would have gone by by the time all of this has happened. That’s why just a few weeks or even worse only a week are unrealistic in redemption fics. No one works through their issues in such a short time especially not if they are as deeply rooted as Chloé’s. Oftentimes it feels forced because people just make Adrien, Marinette or one of their classmates tell Chloé that her actions are wrong and she suddenly has a change of heart. Like no that is not how this would actually work. Just because someone tells Chloé that it’s wrong doesn’t mean that she suddenly would change. This would take far longer than just 1 sentence. It would take therapy and self reflection and the realization that she can’t just have everything

Then there’s the possibility for Chloé being a villain and not just a flat one dimensional villain. We actually know why she is the way she is. It gives her a motive.

Anyway I swerved off topic. This was supposed to be about Lila and not Chloé. If you want to read more on my thoughts on Chloé you can read my post on Chloé’s role in the season 3 finale. It’s a bit outdated since it was written during the run of season 4 but it still matches mostly with my thoughts today. Either way Lila is interesting in a different way. I don’t think she has the same potential for redemption as Chloé has but she seems like she could be a great villain. She is cunning and manipulative. She is also very mysterious, which allows for speculation. We don’t know anything about her. We don’t know who her actual parents are, we don’t even know if she’s actually Italian and we don’t even know what her real name is.

Not gonna lie it came as a shock to know that she lied about her real identity. But now that I think about it maybe I shouldn’t have been shocked. Thomas Astruc has been alluding to the fact that Lila is lying about her identity. If I recall correctly he had posted a tweet talking about how Lila is a Liar and that we shouldn’t believe anything she says and she could be lying about being italian or something along those lines. I can’t find the tweet, maybe he deleted it, so sorry I can’t provide a screenshot but when trying to find it I saw other people talking about the same tweet. Either way that’s not even the main point of this post. (A Tweet? An X? Twitter was renamed to X so no way the posts there are still called Tweets so what even are the posts on X called? X is such a weird name change.)

Lila is cunning, manipulative, a liar and very mysterious. It makes her interesting to me and I do hope we get some semblance of a backstory for her in season 6 as well as some answers to those questions I stated above. I mean don’t get me wrong it’s fun to speculate but it’s also nice to have some confirmation on what actually happened and to add onto that canon framework. That way it’s easier to get an actual grasp onto what she’s like and why she’s this way. Similar to my posts with Chloé. They are built on the canon framework of Chloé’s backstory and current life but they also allow for analysis which isn’t exactly possible if you know nothing about a character (at least from the time when they were posted so not including season 5 since those posts were made 2 years ago.). In Chloé‘s case you can analyze her character arc as well as add onto her canon framework. But in Lila‘s case you can only speculate. And like I said speculation is fun and I‘ll probably take advantage of it until season 6 airs but it’s also nice to analyze the canon framework and add onto it. Both are nice in their own way I guess.

Not gonna lie when Lila first entered the show in the Season 1 Final I thought she was going to be a girl who lied because she wanted friends. Because she felt lonely and thought lying was her only possible way of making friends especially since some of her classmates are famous like Adrien Agreste, a world famous model, Chloé Bourgeois, the mayors daughter, and Alya Césaire, the Ladyblogger. I thought that she would resent Ladybug in the beginning but eventually would get over it and that Marinette would try to befriend Lila because she felt bad for blowing up on Lila as Ladybug. But then Lila disappeared in season 2 only to reappear in the season 2 finale to create the illusion, and then season 3 happened which changed my opinion on Lila once and for all. But even then I didn’t expect Lila to aim for the Butterfly Miraculous or that her lying went so far as to the fact that she had multiple sets pf parents, lied to all of them and that she even had multiple sets of identities. What kind of teenager even does that and why does she even need multiple identities?

Either way should that happen and they do elaborate on Lila‘s backstory I‘ll probably be back after season 6 trying to analyze Lila‘s character. It’s been a long time since I analyzed or theorized about Miraculous and if anything I would be interested in doing it with Lila but for that I don’t have enough information on her right now. In the meantime I‘ll be speculating about who she is and why she is like that. Who knows maybe I‘ll post some of those speculations on this Tumblr page, maybe I don’t. It depends on how I feel.

Realistic headcanon: I was gonna put this in unrealistic but actually thinking about it this is completely plausible I think it would be really funny for Luz to know a lot about systems/plurality from the internet and she's been like. kind of considering trying to create a willogenic system with Azura but she was never POSITIVE she wanted it (she did become plural and get an Azura fictive during her adventures completely unwittingly, you can decide whether from trauma or not, but she didn't notice that until after the dust settled and everything was over) but anyway for this reason she's up to date on the modern system terms and discourse* so she is Eda's go-to after she starts connecting with the Owl Beast. Like all she needed to know was advice on communicating better but Luz went on a tangent and now words like endogenic and medicalization are swimming through her brain and she has no idea what is going on anymore only that it all sounds really stupid to be fighting over when you have entire people in your brain to deal with.

Unrealistic headcanon: Despite knowing she is in fact like 14 in the 2021-2023 range I cannot imagine her having a childhood that's not at least partially like mine like realistically she would not have been a 2000s kid she'd be a literal infant then but I find myself projecting my childhood experiences on her anyway and just writing it off with the fact that sometimes as a kid u just experience things that are old.

Heartbreaking headcanon: The "last words" she says to Eda and King mirror the way that her father broke the news of his prognosis to her. She isn't sure she could even really talk about her own death without borrowing what he told her back then because how do you even put those emotions into words? How do you focus on the important part? Additionally, she wishes she would have thanked them before dying because when the time came for Manny to say his goodbyes to her, he thanked her for all of the joy that she brought him while he was still alive. She was able to know that no matter what happened in a future without him in it that she was appreciated, she wants her loved ones to also have that luxury.

Unrealistic but idc headcanon: She's a Deamonne kid Darius and Eber didn't intend this to happen but she kept inviting herself over and calling Darius variations of dad casually. Even if Hunter didn't exist she'd still be their kid they can coparent with Raeda and Camila she is collecting parents they have no choice/silly Also she teaches Darius how to make slime with glue and he has an etsy store now

What the hell is going on with The Iron Kingdom by Nick Kyme?

I know that 40k novels often struggle with consistency, but the sheer illogical happenings in this book are driving me crazy, so I decided to write some of this down before my head explodes.

Spoilers below this point. Also a lot of ranting.

1) How in hell did the most undiplomatic idiot get command of the battle group sent on a diplomatic mission??

- they want resupply from this world

- they want to establish a supply hub

- and all they bring in return is the dead heir to the local monarchy

- to a Knight world, which are notorious for their focus on their own sovereignty.

How the fuck do you get the idea "You know what? This is gonna go swimmingly, I'll just send some ships ahead so they can start collecting resources a few days early."

Getting there took 5 *years*, why would you care about a few days and antagonise the local governess before even establishing communications?

2) Who made this unstable, impulsive despot queen of this world??

Imperial tithe collectors trample a few fields and antagonise the locals? - doesn't do anything.

Fleet master establishes communication? - Just exchange half a dozen sentences, just hinting at all the problems, but not really talking anything through.

Find that your dead daughters skin has just *slightly stretched* after being dead for over 5 years despite statis field? - Immediately lose it and give orders to assassinate an ambassadorial delegation of several dozen imperials (itself pretty much a declaration of war) including a General, a Silent Sister and a damn Custodes??? A literal companion of the emperor, mythical being and all that?

(And her brother, who fought along these people for years, is just ok with this besides some slight protests?)

3) Speaking of the Custodes, why does such an interesting character established in a previous book (part of the diplomatic corps of Custodes, but not really that good at it, but working on it) who fits this situation perfectly, get nothing more that one scene where he is reading a bit and another where he just dies instantly to some Knights?

Where is the awe-inspriring influence of these legendary warriors on normal humans?

Where is his diplomatic skill and authority, why does he just let the undiplomaitic idiots fuck everything up?

What did Andy do to Nick, that he just slaughters his characters such as Vychellan just like that?

4) What kind of idiot selected this Kingsward, protector of the queen?

He finally finds the renegade he has been hunting for *years* by walking into a trap and turning it around, defeats him and then just... leaves? Because he got word of the war the Queen started?

He's right there, just finish this guy, you need at least an hour to get back to the Palace anyway, what does it matter? But no, gotta let him live, to he can get back later and cause problems, I guess. At least give him a miraculous escape, not "enemy turned around at the last moment, because he's an idiot."

5) Then we have some usual inconsistencies turned up the maximum with the primarchs equerry Messinius not just being completely aware of the situation just days into the conflict, but *actually there*?? During a time of exceptionally difficult warp travel??? How the hell do you justify that? Did he secretly sell his soul to the dark gods, or something?

There's more with the Iron Veil being unrealistic and the strength of the Kamidarian atomic weapons not making sense, but maybe that's just the physicist in me being pedantic (and fairly common in 40k, so whatever).

But sentences like "The Imperiums ressources are not inexhaustible" just hurt when reading because, yes, for a single world like yours they pretty much are and you should know that...

That's it, ranting over (for now).

Haven't finished the boom yet and seriously thinking about not finishing it at all, which would be a first for me.

Really enjoyed the Dawn of Fore series so far (although Wolftime was a bit weary), but this book has me pulling out hair..

Okaaaaay, welcome to my TED talk. Well, of course everything depends on what we define as "everything is settled". Honestly, I genuinely think that at the end of jjk manga they’ll find the way to get rid of cursed energy and curses, and my headcanon is that THIS IS how Choso will die (as he is a half-curse), but we ignore angst headcanons, we are here to talk about fluffy, unrealistic, absolutely random (and tbh not really domestic) ones. ARE YOU READY?? 1.3k (wtf) words text + illustrations under the cut:

I don’t know if you can see that from the way I draw chosoyuki, but I don’t headcanon them to be deeply in love or something like this, I think of them more like of friends with benefits (whose “friendship” might have gone too far after some time spent together). So, after everything is settled they can just as likely separate and forget about each other or end up growing closer to one another, catch up some feeLiNgS and continue whatever is happening between them.

Anyway, I think Yuki’s scientific curiosity is in ecstasy from meeting infamous death painting, she bombards him with questions about everything: about his abilities, his brothers, his memories, his body. Not everyday you meet someone you read about in history textbooks! I can imagine her suggesting him to do some experiments on him, but he freaks out - he doesn’t want to be an object for experiments anymore. “Toji, Choso……all men I’m interested in always turn me down” :_( 

Yuki is most likely teaching Choso fighting or some jujutsu tricks as we speak. (Maybe Gege will finally show us them in the next part of the arc?)

Yuki: “nature was cruel enough to make me bisexual so I’m attracted to mEn, and my standards have fallen even lower so now I’m attracted to the (half)curse?? it’s probably because of adrenaline rush caused by oncoming end of the world...”

I don’t think Choso is totally unaware about how modern world works, I headcanon that he has some vague memories and some automatic skills left from the previous owner of his body(“wow, I can ride a bicycle?”), but some skills become completely forgotten - so he has difficulties reading and writing, doesn’t understand technologies, and obviously doesn’t know a shit about mass culture. Teaching him how to write a text message is like teaching your grandparents (everybody has this experience, right?? it's hard!)

Choso has never held money in his hands, and moreover never earned them himself, so Yuki is kinda sponsoring him at first (sugar mommy, ha).

The question “what do they do?” is interesting, because it depends on whether they got rid of curses or not. If not, I guess Choso could start working on jjk society (well, on its updated version with new higher ups, I’m sure old ones would just exorcize him), kill curses and stuff like that. But if they find a way to get rid of curses and sorcerers are not needed anymore, I bet all sorcerers will have some identity crisis: they lost their job, the meaning of the whole life, they don’t have skills for other jobs, and WHAT jobs? What do they want to do in their life? WHO THEY ARE without their sorcery work?

OF COURSe Choso would travel with Yuki! He was in a tube for 150 years, Yuki thinks it’s sad and unfair, and says to him: “I’m gonna show you the world”. I think he’s easy to impress, everything is new to him: new places, cultures, food, basically everything, even mundane things, and Yuki is kinda discovers all these things again with him, even though she might have seen them dozens of times before, got used to them and stopped noticing.

I think they would be like this meme: Yuki is talking too much and Choso is listening. She’s like a walking encyclopedia, tells facts and stories and thoughts about everything, kinda teaches him a course of modern human culture, shows him her favourite films, books, etc. (Choso would hate reading though, it’s too hard with all these kanji…She would probably read him out loud sometimes)

Choso takes Yuji Itadori’s surname for a fake passport and other documents, because he hates the very idea of having the same surname as his shitty father Kamo Noritoshi.

Yuki always comes up with the craziest, definitely not safe and sometimes illegal ideas, and Choso is like: “I’m in, because why not.” (Were they deported once from some country for breaking the law? Probably)

Choso is touch-starved, super clingy, always touching, always stays too close, embarrassingly sincere with everything he says. Sometimes gets jealous, when Yuki starts to flirt too much with someone (and she does it quite often).

I headcanon Yuki has never had romantic relationships with people who was a part of jujutsu world, or those who she could tell about this part of her life. Her partners weren’t happy she was always hiding something, couldn’t stand her random work schedule, her constant “work trips”, her sudden disappearances without warnings or with some half-assed excuses. As a result, even those partners she was serious about broke up with her at the end. So in relationships with Choso she finds absolutely new levels of openness and trust.  

Sometimes they go to the training room to beat the shit out of each other.

Yuki, realizing she accidentally chose a tearjerker movie with some siblings drama for their movie date night: daaaaaaaaaaaaamn

Once, when Yuki is abroad without Choso, she opens him a world of nudes and sexting (he’s awkward as hell with it)

I think that if their relationships got serious, Choso would like to have a proper family with a lot of kids, but I’m sure Yuki is a childfree, so their different views on their future could cause some tension or conflicts or even break up (but we ignore angst headcanons here, and move on)

Random headcanon about Yuki which is based only on my overthinking: I think she doesn’t go on missions, not because she’s careless or irresponsible or whatever, but because something terrible and traumatizing happened on a mission in her school days. In fanbook it’s said that her stress source is missions, which is kinda strange, because a) according to fanbook she’s the only sorcerer who is stressed about missions b) she’s special grade! Why stressing about missions? To experience something terrible because of curses, start avoiding missions and then come to the conclusion that the only way to not experience it again is to get rid of the very origin of curses - cursed energy - sounds reasonable. But maybe I’m just overthinking, and she just doesn’t like to work! (and I agree, work is shit!!)

Random headcanon about Choso: I think he will always feel a bit lonely in any company. He will never have the same bond he had with his brothers. Yes, he has Yuji, he will find other people he cares about and who care about him, but it will never be the same. He will always feel a bit off, a bit lost, a bit out of place, not understanding what people are talking about, not understanding how to treat them. And even if he’s happy with the life he has, he will always feel - somewhere deep down - that he doesn’t belong to this place.

Okay, this headcanon is absolutely terrible, but: WHAT IF Choso can’t age and die of old age because of his curse nature, so if they live a peaceful life after manga events, he outlives all people he cares about and sees them die?????(“we ignore angst headcanons here” I said, you know, like a liar).

Yuki: “Wow, the man who has no idea about gender roles and stereotypes in a society, how refreshing!”

Can I insert here my cat lover Choso headcanons? Yes, I can. One day when Yuki is away, Choso adopts a cat. Yuki has to accept it.

Sammy and Prophet have both been trying to, uh, compromise and collaborate with each other more during this latest threat, via written notes and messages passed through the others, but they still definitely have vERY DIFFERENT IDEAS on how to help, and Prophet’s “HAVE YOU CONSIDERED: USING THE INK MACHINE AS A STARPOOL AND TOSSING YOURSELF IN” advice came in right after Sammy’d taken enough sanity hits to start developing a really intense fear of being transformed into something inhuman, so obviously that went over very well

Anyway they can’t actually directly talk to each other like this but this is, BASICALLY WHAT HAPPENED,
