AHHH! OK so I've never done anything like this but I put as many as I could think of. If I come up with anything else, I'll edit this and add it (or just make a new post) 

(lots of words ahead 💀)

General headcanons :

- They one hundred percent had the Barbie mugshot but with Velvet's deadly stare instead

- and Veneer made sure he looked good; they are taking a picture after all

- I think Velvet might be a little taller than Veneer but they're both taller than average

- never leaves the house without heels or platforms or both

- Veneer has must-be-wearing-a-crop-top syndrome. Can't be cured 😔 

- I'm sorry but they totally sang Circus by Britney Spears. That song is so V&V coded and has female and male vocals too 😩

- The sass is too hard to contain for this duo. Once a sly thought appears in their mind, they have to voice it (but I'm not complaining. They're iconic) 

- Veneer can be a little blunt or rude sometimes. I know ppl like to imagine him as just the caring and silly sibling but he did everything Velvet did. He just had morals that started to kick in once the threat of being a killer was thrown at him. 

(I mean did you see him nearly just toss Floyd down the toilet 💀)

- of course, I still think he is silly and kind and chooses to do so for a fair portion of the time but he's no stranger to being ignorant to most of his wrongdoings as well

- and I think they both have some trauma from practically killing Floyd. GET THEM THERAPYYY

- I think Velvet would like decorating and making things ✨Aesthetic✨

- like a little journal that she'd write her feelings in and then fill with beautiful stickers and photos (totally not a burn book....) 

- I think Poppy would love love looove to see Velvet's journal filled with beautiful stationary. She'd probably get her into scrapbooking and they'd make the cutest little displays or books just brimming with photos, cutouts, diagrams, and more. 

-Poppy and Viva can be a little overwhelming for Velvet at first but they'd totally become great gal pals and just chat all day. 

- and at first, Bergen features might be a little....alarming to Velvet but she'd learn to love Bridget just like Poppy does

-also both are invited to the broppy wedding... 👀

- she also of course become friends with the BroZone brothers but I get more into that below ⬇️

"Story" headcanons :

- So for Velvet, I think in the movie she was so blinded by her need for fame and luxury that she didn't notice how her family (Veneer) helped her and stuck around through all the things she said and did. This would separate her from being just a complete villain because I do believe that she can reform herself into something better

- In Jail, I think Velvet would really hate it and everyone around her. She probably wouldn't want to talk to Veneer at all at first but being alone might give her time to reflect on herself

- over a little time, I think she'd realize how Veneer was always there for her and understood her ways. She'd definitely come back around and they'd be back to being as close as they were before, maybe even more

-It would take some time for both Velvet and Veneer to adjust. 

- Veneer would dislike jail very much. He's so used to his life of luxury that I'm sure he'd be surprised by how little you get behind bars

- and with Velvet wanting to be alone, he would probably feel more alone than ever

- but he knows he did the right thing and even though prison sucks, he'd get through it

- Veneer would probably try to make friends with some of the people there but it is prison soo.... I'm not sure how well that would go. 

- if anyone came to visit him, he'd be so happy cuz jail is sooo boring and he'd finally get to yap away to somebody who knows him.

- you just know they'd be styling that prison jumpsuit the best the can

- can you sneak heels into jail??

- Velvet and Veneer are kinda "eye candy" for the criminals in jail and they might get targeted by those who are jealous or looking for a fight

-Velvet's not the only one with an attitude problem, Veneer can very well relay a comment or two that can easily get them into some trouble. He'll have to work on that along with his sister, learn how to correctly treat the people around them

 - After they become besties again, they'd have each other's backs like never before. I think Velvet really really does care about Veneer and if anything ever happened to him, she'd be devastated. This time, she'd really like to treat him how he deserves and nurture that sibling bond. 

- and you know once anyone throws hands with one sibling, the other comes swinging

- 💥KNOCKOUT💥

- not the best thing to do if you want to get out of jail fast but hey, nobody messes with twins and gets away with it

- Due to other more serious situations being forgiven in the past, I think Velvet & Veneer wouldn't be in prison for too long. I can easily see BroZone forgiving them and offering to help the twins with whatever they'd need

- Veneer would definitely become great friends with Floyd and even Bruce. After all, he knows what it's like to be sensitive and a heartthrob 😌

- and I can see Velvet relating to Branch and J. D. She's probably a control freak (or was) and always wants everything to be perfect, just like John Dory. That's something they'd both have to work on. And I think Velvet and Branch can relate to one another's sassy sarcastic comments and occasional snide remarks. 

- I can also see them joining Clay's sad book club. I need to see a scene of Veneer just balling his eyes out after finishing a book while all the others just pat him on the back 😆

- @horrorartist23 did a couple of drawings of Velvet & Veneer(or maybe just Ven idk) working at Bruce's Beachside Bar and I LOVE THAT IDEA SO MUCH.

- ESPECIALLY since Bruce said his family was a total Veneer household. I think it would be so cute for not only his kids getting the chance to meet Vel&Ven but also for Vel&Ven to get a little bit of real work experience.

- it would be so good for them to work at a place like that to learn about themselves and a work environment.

- plus the whole island is gorgeous and pretty luxury, which would fit into they're ideal environment. AND everything is Rageon sized so they don't have to worry about being too big!!

- They'd literally be working hard and making it look easy 💀

- I think it's perfect and I love it

-after jail and therapy, I think Velvet would really love the life she has. She'd of course still make mistakes sometimes and her sass will never leave. That's just who she is and none of us would want to change that . But she'd have a way healthier mind and so would the people around her. 

- I think both of them might want to actually learn how to sing and dance like real performers 

- Velvet hates making mistakes or not being perfect at a skill immediately. I know how that is and it's really difficult to get past but with more encouragement from Veneer and even the Brozone brothers, she'd become the star she always knew she was. 

- And Veneer would take initiative for himself and practice performing like a real idol. I feel Veneer would also struggle with wanting perfection immediately but I think he'd really fall in love with dancing and this would help him keep up the determination. And he'd be really good at it too after some practice

- Knowing how good they can be if they put in the work would be a huge motivator too. Cuz they only stole Floyd's talent, not his voice. And because of this Velvet knows that she sounds good when she's at her peak in skill. They know that they can be amazing, they just have to work for it this time 

-Trying to become famous again for the right things would definitely be hard. They're reputation is awful

- BUT, I think Mount Rageous would give them a chance to prove themselves. Considering how all Rageons are obsessed with media, fame, and celebrities, I think they couldn't resist the bait of former popstars Velvet & Veneer coming back to the stage, this time with their own talent that they've truly worked hard to perfect. 

- And they'd deserve it for how much work they put into reforming their lives. 

- Plus, nobody can take away their love for the stage and performing. They're too iconic to forget 💅

- and you know I'd be keepin' my eye out for that V&V/BroZone collab 🌟

- First live performance with BroZone, Velvet and Veneer are getting their Perfect Family Harmony. And you can bet it will be the most amazing thing to ever grace the planet

Ohhhh was so much harder than I thought it would be!

#1 is obviously The Swordsman and the Blacksmith!

I have so many reasons as to why I should be proud of this one. It’s the first longfic I ever completed, my writing really improved over the span of writing it, it helped me find my writing style and overall I just really really love this story. It’s also what made me fall in love with Zoro and the nuances of his character, plus I really enjoyed writing a flawed main character.

Fun little fact, the whole fic came from this one scene I had in my head of Zoro fucking the main character and asking "Make me a sword"... I just had to uhhh write around 80k words to get there (it was originally planned to be around 30k but I'm really glad I pushed it to where it is now)

#2 has to be Cherry Girl

It’s the fic that brought me back to writing after almost a decade of nothing. I also find the story kind of sweet and fun and a different take on the Kid pirates. Also it was a really fun reader insert to write, such a breath of fresh air kind of character. It's a really different tone from my other fics but it's also why I love it so much.

#3 Negotiations

Maybe it's recency bias maybe not but I had so much fun with the dialogues at the beginning of this fic. It was a challenge and I am actually kind of proud of what I managed to achieve with it. (the smut's also pretty good imo)

#4 This Shanks ask I answered that plagues my mind and which I desperately need to make into a full fic >.>

#5 Port Wine & Sake

It's still in progress but it's my challenge fic and I love it for what it is! It's me trying to up my game with dialogues, me trying to improve my vocabulary, me trying to write characters I don't know much about, exploring trauma and writing a main character that is absolutely nothing like me. It is a challenge and it often leaves me stuck but I am also so proud of it.

OK SO NOW I YAP ABOUT MY FAVORITE CHAPTERS OF THE SWORDSMAN AND THE BLACKSMITH!!!!!!!! I'll go chronologically!!

Chapter 10: Chasing Distractions

When the reader gets hammered omg! Let me tell you, the way I was kicking my feet and giggling as I was writing, it was so much fun! But what I love most about this moment is that they��ve both only just started seeing each other past the 'he’s a skilled swordsman' and 'she’s a skilled blacksmith' and they can both respect that. It’s basically the start of their friendship and it’s very cute. (Also I believe that if she hadn’t been drunk, they might have fucked. There’s definitely already some sort of attraction budding between the two)

Chapter 18: You're Drunk

Look I had so much fun writing drunk reader that I had to write it again >.> but also it's deeper than that and I love how different it is because their relationship has evolved. What I love most about that chapter is the confirmation that the reader character made the right choice by choosing to leave with the straw hats. As in, until that point there was always some sort of ambiguity but now we’re really aware that they’re with the right people and that they’ve found a new family! There's that softness and kind of quiet understanding that I love. BUT ALSO THE AMOUNT OF SELF RESTRAINT I HAD TO EXERT NOT TO MAKE THEM FUCK RIGHT THERE!!!!!! You have no idea hahaha

Chapter 20: Scars

The bath scene!!!! I can never shut up about the bath scene!!!!! The intimacy in this one just makes me melt. They finally really really get to know one another. It’s an acknowledgment of their respective skills, they’re sharing stories and vulnerable moments. THE MAKING OUT!!!! Zoro’s intents become really really clear, it’s definitely a shift in their relationship. And Nami ratting out Zoro the next day just feels so accurate

Chapter 21: Shusui

I had to research so much for this chapter. Katanas are really complex!!!! But there's this soft rhythm to this chapter that I adore and am so proud of. The intimacy of the moment that is also translated into the technical details of swords is just incredible, at least I think so.

Chapter 24: I'm Still Angry & Chapter 25: Harmony (I think they're one just in two parts honestly)

I don't think I need to explain this one... It's hot, it's beautiful, they're in love but they're still the stubborn idiots they've always been. It makes me giggly like a teenage school girl and I think it wraps up the whole thing perfectly.

Honorable mention to the moment in Chapter 8: The Burden of a Creator where Franky talks about creating things and the impact it has on the world. I think it's one of the character moments outside of Zoro x Reader that I loved most in this fic. (I also really adore Franky and can relate to the whole creating thing a lot)

Elliott Backstory (aka all of my insane Elliott headcanons)

Elliott is trans FTM, originally named 'Emma' in a religious family so past is MESSY and traumatic ✨

Begged to go to bible college and was given money for it and just disappeared, using the money to make it to the city (and maybe also top surgery, either way he's had top surgery by the time he makes it to Pelican Town)

Slowly established a new life in the city doing whatever work he could and living as a man now

Always hated the city though and wanted something more rustic to chase his dreams of being a writer

Finally took the plunge when he turned 30 and had a bit of a crisis about it, basically like yeah it's great to be myself now but am I really, when I am crushed by the monotony of the city?

Like he was working so much to try to afford his shitty apartment and testosterone he didn't even have any friends

Also he's anorexic did I mention that lol he does not have a healthy relationship with food. Hates having to stop working to eat, hates cooking, has body dysmorphia for multiple reasons alright

Gus Backstory Using the same backstory from the Gus/Willy rarepair post, he grew up in the city. Part of the down-low queer scene, he had a few boyfriends. A couple of them felt like they could have been true love until reality hit, and there was nothing true about it. He found love in his passions instead, in cooking and found family in a place where life moved slower. Let's make him older like 40s (teehee age gap my beloved STOP I know I'm making it messier deal with it they're both fully adults whatever! I actually headcanon him being in his early 50s so this is already a compromise)

It takes some time for them to properly meet, because Elliott's ID still has his deadname. (He hasn't had the money to do all the legal work to change it and/or he just legally can't change it without a full sex change. But either way his ID still shows him as being a woman.) He could hope that the saloon owner is cool and won't require ID, it is a small town after all. The anxiety over it is enough to keep him away from the saloon for several months after moving there though. He keeps to himself until he can't, because he's started making friends and they wonder why he won't join them for a drink at the saloon.

He makes an excuse that he doesn't really like to drink even though he most definitely does, but Willy argues that he can always just come for the food. Gus is a great cook after all. The thought of food not from the gas station, that he doesn't have to cook himself, is appealing.

In a realization of his worst nightmare, Gus does need to see his ID. Elliott tries to make an excuse but it starts to get awkward. He swallows his fear and gives it to him with a slight tremor in his hand. There's a clear moment of hesitation on Gus' part where he stares at it, but then it's as if nothing happened, the smile back on his face and he hands the ID back to him facedown.

Elliott wants to cry. From relief, from terror, he doesn't know. All of it. The last thing he wants is to be outed in this place that had started to feel like home for once. He gets super wasted to try to deal with it, and stays in his cabin for days waiting for the fallout. The gossip. The world to come crashing down on him. But it doesn't.

Actually the only thing that comes is a knock at the door a few days later. To Elliott's embarrassment, it's Gus. He brushes his hair in a hurry and plasters a smile on his face to answer the door.

Gus seems a little shy, which isn't like him. Gus is bubbly and talkative, usually. But maybe he's just hot from the walk. And the takeout bag in his hands.

"Hello Gus."

"Hi Elliott, um, I hope this isn't a bad time..."

"No, how can I help you?" Elliott leans against the doorway in what he hopes is a casual, unaffected manner. Gus steals furtive glances at Elliott's neck, his hands.

He definitely glanced. Why would he glance?

Gus is gay. Oh my Yoba Gus is gay.

"I was hoping to catch you in the saloon but I haven't seen you since the other night and uh.. I just want to let you know you're safe with me -- here, I mean, you're safe, here. You have friends here."

Elliott is overcome with a myriad of emotions and for once, most of them good. But he is incredibly torn on whether to pull at this thread that has Gus stuttering. It has been a long time since he's had someone so cute in his clutches. But he packs that away for now, letting the relief through instead.

"Thank you. That means a lot, actually... would you like to come in?"

AND THEN they fall in love and its a little messy because they both have their own hangups to overcome but they are so good together because Elliott has a facade up with the rest of the world and wants everyone to like him but goes about it the wrong way, and Gus wears his heart on his sleeve and everyone does love him but he also struggles with setting boundaries and self-love. And they'd have some fights about food but Gus would come to understand his limits and work with him and show him cooking can be fun and everything, GUYS IM SO NORMAL ABOUT THEM IM SO NORMAL (not hyperventilating at all, very casual)

I think there's many problems in the community. But I feel like 2 in particular are merging quite a bit. So before I begin, this is in no means supporting or condoning the negative actions of others, I'm just thinking out loud basically, trying to understand why it's a problem and what not. The "explains but doesn't excuse route" to help me process things. My heart goes out to everyone who has been a victim of gro*ming.

So I've had a discussion about certain words being thrown around a lot. Words that are used as an insult, a word that triggers people immediately and follows with loads of hate comments and the classic kys.

While there is most certainly predators and p*dos in the community. I think there's a secret third option that doesn't really get talked about a lot- if at all. And that's "well intentioned adults". Adults who got the spirit! But execute in very questionable ways compared to people who are more, for lack of a better word, mature in their experiences.

I think I was one of them to an extent, but had some incidents that made me have to make decisions that would have been difficult in the past with my previous thinking (will explain later). Personally, my blog was open to all. And I hear the sfw doesn't mean safe for minors which is so true. But I still let minors follow my blog and that was a choice I own up to. Up until a couple months ago I was somewhat ok with it. Until things started happening that made me ✨uncomfortable✨. I got 13 year olds following me, minors trying to initiate tickle talk in asks/dms, trying to befriend me in ways that were just not great lmfao (trying to comfort me if I made a vent post, or in turn trauma dumping in the DMs). And this led to a LOT of reflection. I didn't want to have this responsibility so to speak, of taking care of children, who I have no previous relationship (/p) with in an online setting. So I changed my blog to a dnf. That's just me tho, I curated my internet experience to suit me after realizing that what I was doing or rather passively allowing before, made me uncomfortable. I didn't engage in the conversations that were initiated, it made me queasy lmfao.

But for *other* people. This feeling doesn't occur. You can have the extreme of being so delusional and enraptured in your own personal gains/pleasure as a p*do. Or... Be the self appointed teacher, parental figure etc. Which is a lot like gr*oming (actually it is a sign of gr*oming). It's such a complex issue in terms of the way some adults could have a genuine desire to help and not harm/manipulate but there's this disconnect where the adult doesn't recognize the harms they're causing unintentionally.

There are adults who don't mind being the educator because that's what they needed when they were a child. And I get it! They want to help. But! We've seen what can happen. And I think the reason some people are hesitant with the whole it "DEPENDS on the context" is that you're taking away their ability to *help*. But they don't realize by shutting down those conversations *is* helping. There are very few circumstances where a 30 year old should be speaking to a 16 year old about sexual topics. And in an online context, even fewer. There are SO many resources online that people can use to educate themselves, you do not have to be the sole educator for those slipping into your DMs.

From experience, minors are very impressionable and still have a lot to learn when it comes to boundaries. There was this time one of my friends sent an ask teasing me and then I got flooded by people sending in their own teases. Minors unintentionally (giving the benefit of the doubt) making me extremely uncomfortable trying to befriend me through "innocent" tickle talk. There are other instances of minors as I mentioned before trying to comfort me when I'm venting. Very thoughtful of them for reaching out and all but also they're endangering themselves. There are adults who would easily respond to them and because the adult themselves are emotionally not stable in that moment, may explain their worries to someone they realllyyyy shouldn't be sharing experiences with, sexual or not. The adult has the responsibility in this situation, as they hold the most power in the dynamic. So yeah I'm not gonna put the blame on the minors. Gonna hold the adults accountable. Because it's absolutely not okay.

I always say while intentions are cool and all it doesn't really matter much. The impact, and what your actions will be after the fact, holds much more weight.

It's so frustrating to see the same old arguments pop up in this particular community. And I've said it once before, at our core, seeing the recent discourse and posts from both parties I can see the want to keep minors safe. However, there are some people who don't see how their perceived innocent actions are actually harmful in the long run. Not only for minors but yourself as well. You deserve to have a community your age as a healthy support system. What's not okay is the waters being muddied under the pretense of helping other people. You can't fix people, and it's really not your job to do so as hard a pill that is to swallow.

I'm losing my train of thought so...

TL;DR. While there are p*dos, there are also adults who mean well but go about it in very wrong/harmful ways, and I hope that eventually (sooner rather than later) they realize the harms they caused and work towards bettering themselves.

Ultimate friends to lovers. They've been best friends since childhood but as they start to grow up, those feelings change into a more romantic nature but neither handles this well. Riku in particular has a whole villain arc about it bc his insecurities about the situation get the better of him, meanwhile Sora isn't self aware enough to recognize his feelings are romantic in nature but he spends all of his time desperately trying to get Riku back so they can be together again. Ultimately even after they come together, their love continues to be a main driving force of the narrative and it's so palpable

Scarlet/Chase/Brook:

It all started with Chase and Scarlet knowing each other, and becoming friends. THEN, sudden ✨rival✨? Except not at all lmao

Brook pretty much didnt care about Scarlet at all, he just didnt really wanted to feel bad about which sinners he choose, pretty much. Which was why Scarlet and Chase started teaming up at first too.

So Chase, as any clever person thought "hey, then what if *you team with us too?*", and Brook basically went "good idea :3" and joined. Like, no joke, his boss told him "KILL THE BLONDIE" and Brook went "Nah". (Please someone add it as propaganda I love that scene)

ANYWAYS, THEYRE ALL FRIENDS RIGHT? SO HOW ABOUT THEIR DYNAMICS? The answer is: I love them <3

Ok, we all know about Chase and Scarlet right? Its pretty obvious with those ones, for those who read the comic, BUT HEAR ME OUT, MY FELLOW COMRADES ✨Brook too✨

They all live under the same roof, and are pretty much always together? Its 𝘛𝘩���� 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘰.

I know we all make the joke about Brook third wheeling but DID YOU ALL SEE HOW MUCH HE WANTS THOSE TWO TO BE HAPPY.

Literally, we see Chase caring about Scarlet and Brook searching for sinners, even when Scarlet disappeared for a while and Chase was depressed af. Brook and Chase stayed together. And Brook felt so bad for Chase he almost fucks around and finds out??? Just to get Scarlet back??? THAT WAS SO CUTE.

AND LATER. THE JUDAH SITUATION. WHEN SCARLET FOUGHT HER TRAUMA TO GET BROOK. And how she consoled Brook because he thought they didnt care about him :(

Even after The Chase Situation, when Scarlet and Brook stayed together as a team, and how Scarlet THOUGHT OF LEAVING BROOK BECAUSE HE SAID HE WAS HAPPY (staying in a place) AND SHE THOUGHT HE DESERVES IT.

This trio is going to kill me they love each other so much.

AND HEY, I KNOW SOMEONE IN THE NOTES IS GOING TO START "but brook and scarlet have a brother-sister bond, and brook does not have any Feeling™ towards chase". HEADCANONS COUNT. And although its true Chase and Brook havent really shown any other feeling that is not friendship towards each other, I can still ship Brook and Scarlet. Just thought I'd send you some positivity and thoughts, after reading your stories. (They were just wonderful, by the way).

I love the way you depicted Wilbur. A man who has longed for physical touch, attention, and (honestly) Quackity, for thirteen years. God the way you depict him is absolutely splendid. I couldn't have done it better!

Making him desperately beg for Quackity's time because even though he's a prick who wants nothing more than to be on top, he also lacks that attention that only Quackity can give him.

Versus Quackity who is stand offish. Had only ever been hurt physically. It takes him awhile to let Wilbur touch him, to open his walls and allow them to break down enough for Wilbur to slip inside of that crack. It's so gorgeous.

I was planning to post chapter 2 over the weekend but I didn't have enough time to edit and all that, so instead I'll try to post it this week between Wednesday and Sunday

It's actually so frustrating, cause it's literally basically ready. I edited it thoroughly already, and had it beta read, but then during that I had it pointed out that I overused/repeated like three or four words (it's over 7k words so unfortunately unintentional repetition is easy) so I had to decide where to keep them and where and with what to replace them. So now I could honestly post it already, but I just have to make sure the changes don't impact the flow, so I need to find the time for both myself and my partner (who's my beta reader) to separately read it quickly in one go

Like I wish so hard I wasn't such a perfectionist cause it's genuinely ready to get posted and the likelihood that something's still even slightly wrong is tiny, but noooo, I still gotta perfect it to my very last breath or something

Anyway I'm not trying to justify myself (I know you're all great and respectful, guys, dw), but I'm more so just kinda venting cause it's an irritating situation

I just want to post it for you already ok I'm excited to read your comments and asks and all of that - reading your thoughts (whatever they may be, even more negative) always a highlight of my whole month (just, having people engage with my art✨✨✨)

Some context:

Mags is a street rat demihuman (partially feline). Dorado abducted/adopted her off the streets a few days ago and has decided it's bath time.

There was a teeny weeny emotional breakdown in the previous chapter while he was trying to get her undressed (there's ✨trauma✨ there) and they've been chilling in the bathroom for a while. Here's what happens next!

Dorado shifted slightly under Mags’ weight and raised his wrist to check the time. He made a noise of surprise and patted Mags on the back. “You good, sweetheart?”

“Bluh?” Mags raised her head slowly, having been asleep.

Dorado chuckled warmly. “I said, are you feeling better?”

Mags smiled beatifically. “Uh huh.”

“Ok. In that case, it’s bath time for a certain kitty cat.”

Mags sat up and stretched, yawning cutely. “Ok, Dad.”

Dorado smiled brightly and gestured for Mags to get back up on the lip of the tub. He continued getting her undressed, only pausing for a moment as he reached her waistband.

He met her eyes with a question in his. She nodded, still feeling warm and fizzy from his comfort.

He blinked to acknowledge her consent and finished getting her ready.

“Now, I was initially going to give you a bath, where you would have sat in the water while I washed you up. But, I talked to the ship medic yesterday because I was a little worried about any infections or injuries you might have, and I didn’t want to aggravate them with a bath. He told me that a shower might be a better idea. I’m going to use this hose that sprays water to wash you instead.” He rambled on in a soothing tone as he gathered various bottles and sponges.

“This is going to take a while so I got you… this!” Dorado finished rummaging in a small closet and pulled out a folding chair. “You can sit on this while I wash most of you and I’ll have you stand up so I can reach the rest of you. Sound good?”

Mags chirped happily.

“You are so stinkin’ cute. Oh, and one more thing. Your hair is really long and thick but it’s super, super, tangled. If I tried to wash it, it’d hurt a lot. I’m going to do what the ship medic said and cut a lot of it off so I can wash the rest of it. Still good?”

Mags hesitated for a moment. “Is it gonna hurt?”

“No, precious. Good job asking, though! I’m proud of you for speaking up.”

Dorado finished his preparations. “Alright, bath time! Go ahead and sit in the chair, cutie.”

Mags clambered over the edge of the tub and sat.

“I’m going to turn the water on now. I’ll make sure it’s nice and warm. You wouldn’t want cold water, would you?” Dorado asked playfully. Mags fervently shook her head, recalling the icy rain she used to hide during.

“Here we go, princess.” And Dorado turned the dial.

The effect on Mags was immediate. As the water hit her skin, she shot out of the chair and bolted to a corner of the bathroom.

“Whoa, easy there. It’s just water.” A realization hit Dorado. She’s a cat. Of COURSE she hates water. Oh boy.

“Can you please come back, Mags? I still need to get you all nice and clean.”  Dorado spoke calmly as he turned towards the spooked girl.

Mags shook her head as her hair flew around her face. She ducked under Dorado’s outstretched hand and went for the bathroom door.

“Crap.” Dorado dove after Mags but wasn’t fast enough. The bathroom door slid shut behind her and Dorado heard the door to her quarters do the same.

Dorado sighed and ran after her.

When he reached the hallway that ran outside her quarters, he looked left and right and tried to figure out where she’d gone. He eventually ran to the right.

Mags panted in her hiding place, listening intently for Dorado’s footsteps. The silver of her identity bracelet winked at her in the dim light of Dorado’s quarters.

About an hour later, Dorado collapsed on Mags’ bed. Where the hell could she be?

He’d searched the whole ship. He’d asked every crewman if they’d seen Mags. No luck.

Suddenly, an idea occurred to him. I can try to use the security cameras!

Dorado crossed the hall to his own quarters and made a beeline for the monitors. If he’d been listening more carefully, he would have heard Mags’ squeak of panic as she dove beneath one of the armchairs.

Dorado flicked between live feeds, growing frustrated as this tactic was once again useless.

He ended up back on his own feed and groaned.

Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he saw something in the image from his quarters. It looked suspiciously like… a glint of silver.

Dorado closed his eyes as he figured it out. I never took off her identity bracelet.

He turned around slowly and started walking quietly towards the armchair, knowing that if he showed he’d noticed her she’d bolt again.

Mags had her head buried in her arms as she tried to curl into a tight a ball as possible. Thus, she didn’t see Dorado squat next to the chair before his hands darted out and pulled her from under it.

Mags squealed and kicked as Dorado pinned her to his chest. “Gotcha.”

Dorado ignored Mags’ protests as he headed back to her quarters. “Gotta say, going into my quarters was a pretty clever move. Wouldn’t have thought of that. Oh well – now I know to take that bracelet off first when I’m trying to get you in the bath.” Dorado finished his musings as the door to Mags’ bathroom slid shut behind him.

“Now, I believe it’s time for someone to get a good scrub. Wonder who it is?”

Mags whined futilely. Dorado went to set her down, then thought better of it. “Let me do something real quick.”

Bouncing Mags on his hip, Dorado moved a tile in the bathroom wall and fiddled with a control panel before sliding the tile back. “There. Door’s locked until I enter the unlock code. No pulling that stunt you just did now.”

Dorado smirked fondly as he met Mags’ eyes. “Bath time!”

He plopped her in the shower chair and turned the water back on. Mags whined and tried to squirm away from the spray, but Dorado kept a firm hand on her shoulder. “Now, now, none of that. This’ll go much faster if you stay still, princess.”

She continued to struggle and even tried to swipe at Dorado’s face with her claws in a desperate move. Dorado froze for a moment, shocked.

“Mags. Don’t do that. I’m not trying to hurt you. I know you’re not enjoying this one bit, and it’s not much fun for me either. However, no matter what you do, you’re getting a bath tonight. Whether or not that’s a good experience is up to you.”

Dorado’s stern tone went right to Mags’ core. She stilled, slumping in the chair.

“There we go, good girl. Most people like baths. Try to just relax, okay?” Dorado lathered up a sponge and set to work.

Dorado scrubbed at the dirt under Mags’ nails as she giggled a little from it tickling. Satisfied, he tossed the filthy sponge into the pile of already discarded sponges. The bath had been going on for a while.

“Can you close your eyes for a little bit, sweetheart? I need to wash your face. Don’t breathe when the water’s spraying, okay?”

Mags nodded in understanding and shut her emerald eyes. Dorado reached for a soft cloth and wiped gently at Mags’ face. Soft skin dotted with freckles emerged as the years and years of dirt washed away.

Dorado reached for the shower hose and rinsed the soap off. “There’s my beautiful girl.”

Mags opened her eyes and gave him a wobbly smile.

Dorado ran the sponge over Mags’ neck, noting the way she stiffened.

“You’re doing so well for me, sweetheart. I know this isn’t fun, but trust me, you’ll feel a lot better after.”

He finished washing around her face and paused for a moment. What was next was definitely going to be difficult.

“Mags, are you still okay? This part might be a little uncomfortable for you.”

She whined a little in nervousness but nodded.

“Okay. Stand up, baby.”

Dorado tried to be quick.

“I wasn’t sure what to use with your tail, so I’m just going to stick with shampoo.”

Mags mewled curiously.

“It’s a different kind of soap than what I’m using right now. It’s for your hair.”

He finished up washing her tail and breathed a sigh of relief. That could have gone much worse.

“There we go – that wasn’t so bad, right?”

Mags was clearly a little shaken by the experience, but she gave Dorado a watery smile.

“You can sit back down, princess. I need to wash your hair now and then we’ll be all done!”

Mags chirped with happiness and sat down.

“Now, where did I put the scissors?”

Dorado turned around to rummage in the drawer under the bathroom counter.

“I’m going to rinse your hair first and then- Mags?” Dorado interrupted his train of thought as he was greeted with an unexpected sight.

Or rather, the lack of an expected one.

“Where the fuck did she go?” Dorado demanded of the empty chair.

He groaned and sat back on his heels. “Just my luck that the kid who hates baths is also an escape artist.”

* When cait offers vi the badge and she gets mad i thout it was so funny like ok NOW the cop trauma comes in? Not when you cradled her to you?

* Jayce hitting Renni with a hammer and she just. Doesnt care.

* Also Vi literally hitting Renni with the weapon that murdered her son is. Pretty fucked up to say the least after telling Jayce to get over it when he killed him

* Mel fighting to keep hextech weapons from happening bc of what jayce said and then cait popping up in the council 3 seconds later dripped out with hextech weapons for her and her dogs is so fucking funny

* The way Jinx returned silco to the water. It was always the water for them. Was always going to be. Always will be

* The ‘have you had enough?’ And then the little tiny blue whisp burning away?

* The fucking look on sevikas face when smeech suggested giving up jinx. Like she hates that its her principle but it IS. Even if she doesnt often get along with her. (The thing is. Sevika is probably well aware that it was Jinx that killed silco. Maybe bc she never saw her after Silco died, maybe she just had a feeling. Still she chose loyalty. Chose Jinx)

* claggor likely only had one pair of goggles, which we know jinx had in her workshop, and at the table in the s1 finale. It being with her in the arcade plus knowing that his goggles, just like mylos doll, make them more likely to manifest to her (which could be why she listens to music so loudly in her workshop usually) implies that she intentionally brought claggor with her. Wanted him (a fellow tinker, if his connection to benzo and ekko were to imply anything) to talk to her while she built. She even wears them instead of her own. And then Vi took him. She took him while wearing a mask just like the ones they saw on the bridge and wearing piltover blue.

* The talk between sevika and jinx also? “Big baby couldnt do it himself”? The olive branch in that that just made sevika drop the bottle. Its why she jumps when her own arm is waved in her face, bc she let her guard down

* You see Sevikas lip tremble but instead of crying she gets angry and throws a chair. Jinx doesnt even jump. You can see, now why jinx calls her an ogre (derogaffectonate).

aight so here's the tag game i wasn't tagged in but wanted to do and @gwynbleidd and @graveyaird convinced me that i should 😔 along with u two i tag @werecanidae and @sylkana and anyone else who feels like doing this 🐏

favourite oc - ok thats a very difficult and unfair question, i love all of them so so much, they all mean a lot to me for different reas– ravell. its a toss between ravell and kaz tbh but. ravell. ravell means Everything to me.

newest oc - probably avery? whom i dont talk about a whole lot because they are from the [redacted] Duology 🙃. if we consider an oc from 2 and a half years ago new lmao. listen, i havent been making new ocs much, i just had a period of time when i made a bunch. so avery is a very rare exception of a new oc. im honestly surprised she sort of.. stuck around and i genuinely love her a lot. she was made out of the need to play as a new h*wke because ive been playing as the same one since the dawn of time. she gave my game experience a much needed fresh air and some nuance too.

oldest oc - ravell. or the version of. ravell in sk/rim was very much based on an already existing original character and those two characters still somehow intertwine to this day. there are subtle differences but they are more or less the same person. but when it comes to ocs i talked about on here, which are usually just ocs for this or that game, excluding any original story ones then yeah its ravell.

meanest oc - lyrhis? i know i still present her on here as a dos2 oc but she is an original story oc and i only put her in dos2 because 1) it felt like it would fit her 2) she is important to me and i wanted to be able to still talk about her on here without feeling like she doesnt fit in because she isnt from a game lol. i think her being "mean" is more about her being generally very otherwordly, inhuman and therefore aloof - which can get interpreted as mean i guess - because her perception of things is very different. calling her "mean" even feels weird because that word implies this sort of.. human meanness, spitefulness, generally being malicious for some reason. if anything calling her "mean" is maybe an understatement. she is just kinda cold-blooded, cruel, ruthless. ok you know who is actually a mean oc. evan. he is the opposite of what i just said about lyrhis. he isnt cruel or cold-blooded, but he is spiteful, malicious and can cause a lot of harm with only his words and need for revenge or simple spite. i think that to be mean one still has to be human, its a human trait. and he is human, there is a reason for why he is like that. lyrhis isnt human in the first place.

softest - hera 😔 literally my only normal oc. and she spends a lot of time in the sewers, talks to her rats and overall is a bit Odd but. she is the least evil out of my ocs and carries the least amount of baggage lmao. sure she has been through shit but she is the only oc that turned out "fine" after her personal trauma. but other than that she is very compassionate, considerate and has a strong moral code

most aloof/standoffish - well idk. its a toss between lyrhis i guess for reasons i already mentioned and then wren. which is quite a difference lmao. those two come to mind first but then also ravell, ives and avery. eh, most of my ocs probably seem standoffish, its one of their most common traits. but in conclusion i would say wren? if only because wren is actually a lot like hera, my other more or less only normal oc with an actual moral code and someone who has other people's interests and feelings in mind. but unlike hera wren outwardly appears very cold and most people would describe them as aloof. they are simply distant and keep to themselves but definitely are not internally aloof, they feel a lot, they simply don't show it. but the aloofness of others (ravell, ives, avery…) definitely comes from a lack of emotional intelligence as well as simply being a reserved bunch in general

dumbest oc - probably ravell :( if we compare their general Knowledge about things with my other ocs they are definitely the dumbest. but they are not Stupid. i think them being dumb can just be summed up into them not Knowing many Things and acting/speaking without thinking. they dont do much thinking. which can lead to them making mistakes because they most often act on impulse. they are rational, they can be very smart and cunning, but also they do strike me as the dumbest of my ocs sometimes

smartest oc - hmmm. cant decide between lyrhis, evan, nate and kaz. leaning towards kaz fsr, even though outwardly he would appear as the dumbest out of this group. but i think the other 3 while being smart are also just generally very learned and academically smart. but kaz has that natural smartness about him. idk how to explain my brain power ran out half way into this tag game ngl

oc you'd bang - hmmmmm i cant decide between "all of them" and "none of them". like. i know most of them are very hot and right up my alley (i mean I made them) but at the same time. they have way too many similarities with me for me to be able to comfortably say that i would fuck them lmao. i know who i wouldnt tho 100%- ravell. i think over the years they became too much of their own person. like ravell is real to me ok. and i respect them too much as a person to say something like that lol. ok well. i just realized something. i change my statement to "all of my ocs that are women". i figured out why i didnt feel comfortable saying "all of them" lmao. because not all of them identify as women!

oc you'd be best friends with irl - kaz. kaz has unironically been my best friend for as long as i can remember. i think that even when i was making him at the back of my mind i would think "ok who do i need? thats who this character is" and back then i needed a friend! as cringe as it is. one good friend. who would be just my person. and no one else's. ok my abandonment issues are showing again and recently i'm noticing way too many past signs and patterns

top 5 dinluke moments that live only inside my head:

these are all just concepts for scenarios/whole ass fics that i'm currently turning over in my brain like a rotisserie chicken that i may or may not actually write someday lmao. dinluke is beginning to overtake my brain again like a parasite so i rambled a lot. sorry 🤡

the original trilogy au where din and luke meet on tatooine just before anh and when din is still relatively new to being a hunter, and they spend maybe a few weeks hanging out together and there's something there but nothing ever comes of it before din has to leave. and by the time they finally meet again a few years later, luke has become the hero that blew up the death star and din is essentially just a freelancer working odd jobs for the rebels sometimes and is convinced luke won't remember him but he does!! and as they become more entangled luke makes it his mission to convince din to formally join the rebellion but din keeps refusing because his first responsibility is to his covert and they keep getting pulled in opposite directions by duty :))))

force sensitive din au in which din has repressed his connection to the force since he was a kid and went through the trauma of watching his parents die but it forces itself to the surface in a situation in which he needs it to protect his son (because i adore parallels and i will drag this father-son dynamic into everything wherever possible). and now he's saddled with being a father to a little force sensitive powerhouse while dealing with his own abilities that he had buried down so deep that he forgot they even existed and it feels uncontrollable and unbearable and loud and luke teaches him to quiet his mind and train his abilities. when the Just Some Guy is suddenly overcome with an immense amount of power and has to figure out how to deal with it. <3333

din gets a bounty with just a vague description and a location and he gets there and realizes THAT'S MY HUSBAND so he obviously doesn't follow through but he very quickly realizes that half the other bounty hunters in the galaxy are ALSO after luke. so he spends the next little while batting away bounty hunters with a stick while also just trying to pay them off (which doesn't really work because, as always, he is flat broke) or negotiate because he knows most of these people through ✨networking✨ and he doesn't want to cause tension in the workplace by murdering his colleagues. and perhaps luke is mostly oblivious to all this, but i think he knows exactly what's going on and is just watching it all go down because it's extremely funny and he could easily take care of himself.

din (and possibly also grogu, but one thing at a time here) dies in the destruction of luke's jedi academy and he's toeing the line of the dark side to resurrect his husband from the dead. and he needs to navigate the world between worlds to get him back so he recruits ahsoka who has spent time there before but she's like absolutely the fuck not!! i've seen where this path leads, please stop. but luke, who is the force's favourite little guy, says fine i'll do it myself then. :) and....... idk i have some ideas of where this could go but i don't want to spoil anything. <3

din and luke are getting married and anakin (who maybe never fell to the dark side in the first place or.... something) is very unimpressed with this guy and din and anakin are going at it like jane fonda and jennifer lopez in monster in law because din dislikes anakin in every universe and this is a non-negotiable fact thank you. :)

top 5 din and grogu father-son moments:

chapter 15 the believer aka the best episode when din takes off his helmet in front of a bunch of imperials in the first instance of showing his face to any (living) being since he was a child and absolutely none of them can even begin to understand the significance of it. grogu obviously isn't even in the scene but din did that for his son so it counts. sickening i'm gonna be SICK.

the whole sequence when din goes back for grogu after delivering him to the imperials in chapter 3, but especially when they're surrounded and din is looking down at the baby bundled in his arms and knows they're both about to die. but i think he's at peace with his decision. and later when they're back on the razor crest and din gives grogu the ball he had just taken away from him at the beginning of the episode. that's growth, baby. clawing at the walls about it. din djarin you are a father now.

the entirety of chapter 10 the passenger. i don't care how many people want to complain about that episode being "filler," it is perhaps THE father-son episode of the show and one of my favourites of the season. just an entire episode of din being the World's Worst Uber Driver and grogu getting into Predicaments that his dad has to fix. it also gets a high rating on account of grogu's little baby run to his dad at the beginning of the episode. Kill Me.

chapter 4 sanctuary when din is contemplating leaving grogu on sorgan while watching him play with the village children and then when he's asking while not outright asking omera to take him in. the voice cracks. fuck you fuck you fuck you fu-

their goodbye in the s2 finale like I HATE that he showed his face for no reason don't get me wrong but the kid seeing his dad's face for the first time? if they had just fucking left the room to say their goodbyes and if that moment had just been for them as it should have been? SICKENING!!!!!!!

Alright class yall get to listen to me infodump about some of my ocs because someone needs to know them

Let’s start with a personal favorite, Damien

Damien is just a silly little very stoic guy who is definitely autistic but passes well. He also kills and eats people. Not for fun. Not really. His first kill was a coworker, whose name I cannot be bothered to remember. He killed him due to the fact that he was gonna do some bad things to Regina, who will be talked about in a bit. After that he’s forced to eat dead guy by his employer who is also Regina’s mother and a bitch. Throughout his story he becomes more and more numb to the things he’s doing to the point where he finds some sort of comfort from it.

Next is Regina, who never deserves anything bad to happen to her but because all my trauma is forced onto my characters she gets the ✨horrors✨. She was the one before that was being treated bad by the now dead guy, and is Damien’s main responsibility as a butler. She’s 6, has negligent parents who forget about her all the time and can’t even remember her name, and has a teacher who abuses her. Regina also has a crush on Damien that is really only formed because he is the only person in her life who is really there for her. (I do not ship Damien and Regina. No one should ship Damien and Regina. There is a nine year age difference, 15 and 6.) Regina is what is known as a ‘mature for their age’ aka just fucking traumatized, and it’s understandable due to the fact that she is an accessory to murder and also a cannibal without her consent.

Amelia is the bitch mother mentioned earlier, and also Damien’s employer. She’s forgetful as fuck, especially with names. Since the murder of the other housekeeper she has become a heavy drinker. Her and her husband are very wealthy (not sure how) and they spend most of their time away on trips, which is where she first tried human meat and why she suggested cooking Arnold (that’s his fucking name!).

Onto some different characters with less sad stories to them:)

Let’s start with Issac, who is very dear to me and I based him off the vibes I get from ranfren. He doesn’t use his emotions outwardly a lot unless it’s to get what he wants, and he likes to find bad people and torture them because hey, why not. But then he met his wonderful girlfriend and he is so fucking good to her I cannot stress that enough. He fucking loves Hanna with all his heart and is not afraid to show it. When they first met and were planning out a date he protected her from her slightly abusive ex by bashing his head with a crowbar (he lived). Sadly that’s all I’ve got for his story so far.

Now let’s talk about Hanna, his wonderful girlfriend who is amazing. She is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet, and no one knows why she fell for Issac but her and me. She’s clumsy, cheerful, a horrible cook, a wonderful artist, and likes to be outside in nature. She met Issac walking to work one day and decided to call in sick so she could shoot her shot. More than a little oblivious to social cues she didn’t notice that he was annoyed by her at first, but she didn’t miss it when Issac gave her his number. Now they live happily ever after and Issac still does his incredibly illegal activities but it’s ok because Hanna finds his sense of justice charming.

But anyways yeah that's my infodump for today. Soon yall can get some art for Damien and Regina and maybe one day I'll draw Issac and Hanna. One day.

As much as I find Henry’s character interesting and understand the trauma he went through he is still a grown man and still accountable for his own actions. I know there are accounts on here that have dissected the show to such a degree that’s it’s feeding into their own delusions.

I don't really like his character in general I feel like he's not exactly super well written in the show for now, he is a bit stereotypical for some things even if it makes sense with the story, but I don't care if people want to analyze the show even dissecting frame by frame and invent a whole new show from it or have new and different interpretations, I think that's ok in fandom spaces, the art that gets put out becomes also of the people that consume it once it's out and they have that right like everyone else, I just wish people stopped accusing others of random ass stuff if they don't agree with their versions of events ✨

( Plus using a post about my own abuse experience to send attacks on anon is very cowardly and not really "caring about mental health" of them but I know it's all a pretence for them, it's all spectacle, they don't really show they care about people in my opinion )

My words have been misconstrued multiple times even when I keep explaining myself again and again, I've been told I should apologize even if I don't think I've said anything for which I should apologize ( I will never give a fake apology 🤷) and I've been called ableist because I don't want to forgive a character because in their interpretation "he's just autistic" when I have said I personally see it differently + I think he has his free will at the moment in the show and he's working hand in hand with the Shadow so he's making his own choices as an adult... But also even if he was "just autistic" that wouldn't excuse his actions if he's conscious of what he's doing... so that's like a super weird argument to me, autistic people are normal people they can do bad things too like everybody

Plus I don't agree with all the other theories, so when I speak of stranger things I'm basing myself on canon not the theory of someone else that could end up being real or not... if I don't agree it means we have two different perspectives on his character, the fact that they believe one thing doesn't mean it's the canon yet and we have multiple elements from the show that points on him having made his own choices after deciding to kill his family

And again having a personality disorder or trauma doesn't excuse what you do to others it just explains why you're in that situation because you're experiencing symptoms of it

you can have empathy for the child if you want, but I think it's kinda pointless to expect a redemption arc because he's written down at this point like he was basically destined to end up there if you also add the Shadow to the mix... The play basically just means the duffers have decided this kid was destined to be a serial killer because of this shadow he had inside of him since he's super small

and still I'm not the one saying he's not human for it, I'm simply saying he is a serial killer, all the serial killers are humans too and have trauma too and bad childhoods but they still need to be stopped from hurting people

Early in the morning, will kick your ass out of bed;

"Wake up, BABE!! Time for the first date!";

She's not an extravert but if needed Namiko can become one (she's an ambivert actually);

Would go to any places with u, doesn't mind clubs, restaurants or even a paintball game 👀;

Will buy u your favourite type of jewellery from a fair;

"Here, imagine it's diamond :3"

Lots of hugs and hand holdings, she's pretty clingy;

"I'm happy to see you enjoying your time here.";

You gonna hear "look how majestic you are", "ur so pretty" from time to time;

Won't bother clearing the path for you since the place is crowded (hustles people, doesn't care if they'd fall 😬);

If someone tries to touch u, she's going to move you closer to her and walk away (no conflicts when you two are having fun);

At the end of a date she'll kiss your hand and wink before going home.

Raizo

If u met him before a traumatic event he'll be the prettiest person ever ☺️;

He's going to bring you a bouquet of flowers and explain the meaning of it;

"You look magnificent today. Just like this flower..";

He won't give u any choice though.. You'll go to an arboretum since he loves plants (and fighting, but it's something he won't tell u right away 👀);

He's so nerdy 😭 He will compare u to his favourite flowers and tell you random facts about them;

If he catches someone staring at you, will immediately go away with you to another place;

Sometimes Raizo will brush ur hand and blush like a tomato (he doesn't want to touch you without a consent);

"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't want to!";

After the date he'll invite you to dinner at his. He'll prepare dishes with vegetables he grows on his backyard;

At the end will bow to you and thank you for a perfect date (no kiss- he's too shy ;-;).

Riamu

First he feels shy, even though you started dating, he'll still ask if is it ok for you to go with him on public;

He doesn't mind going to loud places but only with you;

Since he's a calm person he'll prefer to go to quiet places like an onsen or a park;

My boi- The only thing he can do is slightly hold your hand. He has zero experience.. Kissing? Hugging? Never heard about it 😔;

Bought you a bracelet so it'll remind you of him;

"You know. I enjoy your presence.."

Will never start a fight in front of you even if someone tries to challenge him (silently suffering);

But it won't work if someone is making u uncomfortable (he won't kill them even if he wants to.. suffering again..);

"I'm glad this guy finally left us";

Trauma is trauma and Riamu doesn't want you to have it especially on your first date with him 😶;

After ur date will give you a hug (it looks like one?) before leaving;

He'll be turning around to see if you're still there.

thinking about Wanda’s progression of outfits in the MCU;;

(disclaimer: these are just my thoughts and opinions lol i don’t know anything about anything. long rambly post AND SPOILERS ahead >>) 🦹‍♀️✨

^ in her comics and stuff, she’s usually portrayed like this. i think her costume makes gorgeous shapes, uses striking colors, and is visually delicious to look at, but of course, it is OVERLY sexual with no regard for human anatomy / functionality / physics lol. and, I admit, as an artist it’s FUN to draw Like This™, but as a consumer: i want variety. i want drama! evolution! characterization! 🙌🏼

so, as her character is REALIZED into live action, a reasonable conclusion to make is that: her comic outfit™ is conceptually beautiful on paper but.... we shouldn’t expect a 1:1 EXACT vision of this when translated IRL, right???

Well.....

in her first MCU appearance, we meet and come to know wanda in this ^. [it seems like] her age is ambiguous, but she’s got that typical tragic-disaster-teenage-telepath-in-moody-dark-distressed clothing. It’s not a terrible costume/civilian outfit, but it’s a very busty/frivolous outfit on a teenager (?) without giving any information about her. who is she?? what does she want? what does she do?? outfits inform us on a characters personality, intentions, thoughts.... but you’re telling me that she decided to fight robots and crime in this?? b00bies OUT? flowy skirt?? (maybe we can just blame this one on her inexperience & teen dystopia movies from 2015 lol....) and don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice silhouette and looks GREAT on her, but something about her age ambiguity and how she’d deliver lines but the camera would be looking down her shirt just... rubbed me the wrong way  👎🏼

next, we begin to see her ~fleshed out~ ass-kicking costume. she usually has on some kind of BUSTY corset and red flowing coat. (eeeee, i personally feel that the texture of her coats are tacky–– but that’s not the most important thing lol.) preface again: SHE LOOKS GREAT. AMAZING. BUT. her costume STILL doesn’t inform anything about her. it’s just sexy, but for what? she’s a person who is struggling with her trauma, her grief, her powers, her personal life–– why are her t!dd!e$ out? (not that you can’t have them out anytime, ok, but in regards to the context of her situations). it just feels strange to have Wanda along side these other ‘strong’ female characters while focusing on HER insecurity, but still have her very exposed to the camera? you know what i mean? she’s like REALLY strong [physically] but the excessive cleavage just feels like a question mark to me. in all her appearances with this outfit (AofU, Civil War, partially IW/endgame) i still don’t know anything about her personality or desires. she literally IN a costume, in the context of her situations. WE know she’s a witch, but she doesn’t. she’s on EARTH, not space, not asgard, why is she wearing this as a human? Black widow, Cap, Falcon, Hawkeye–– they are her mentors and they’re in tactical gear... why isn’t she? [ everyone else has a costume ensemble that describes their character, role and ability ]. 

so far, she is just sexy, sad girl.

moving on....

ok, the MCU has like a million characters and side-characters, so we don’t get to know every detail about everybody. but RIGHT HERE, this outfit from IW, told me SO MUCH about who wanda is. two years after civil war, two years on the run, two years to mature, this wanda in civilian clothing, is a modern woman!!! the MCU didn’t shy away from ‘age-dating’ her clothes, this time. [they usually go for plain “cover”, hat and jeans for civilian scenes].  Here, she’s in a long coat, donning an air of disguise, mystery, witchiness, rouge-ness lol. a dark shirt that covers her, ripped (and trendy lol) straight leg jeans, a fluffy hat, and practical boots: It’s a depiction of a blooming and modern woman [on the run], just like her. i love that! she has GROWN. maybe we needed her previous outfits to see this now, and maybe it’s a matter of preference, but it feels very natural. she [and vision] just want a NORMAL life, she’s already ‘stealing away time’ to BE NORMAL. there’s nothing on her that signifies “hero” or anybody other than a NORMAL WOMAN. i thoroughly enjoyed seeing her portrayed like this, and it really put some weight to her and vision’s romance, and what was at stake for them. they just want peace and normalcy, TOGETHER. 

ok and her fighting outfit in IW/Endgame was kinda.... unremarkable/nothing new tbh. the main focus was on her ~infinity stone given abilities~ and her relationship with vision, so i didn’t pay that much attention to her clothes. i don’t mind that shift of focus!! she looks strong and beautiful, and among other strong and beautiful characters, yet she is the only female avenger with ample cleavage lmao. NOTE: with the variety of shapes, colors, costumes, intentions of the female cast, there can be busty outfits, zipped up ones, or casual ones, i THOROUGHLY enjoy the variety!! they have different aspirations, motivations, styles!  BUT.... if you’re going to show me a modern day wanda (like above), why does she go back to this outfit? it still... does not describe WHO or WHAT she is. why isn’t she in something tactical like the others? ya’ll are fighting aliens and THANOS. lol & she still doesn’t “match” her group of Earth Avengers....

but then.... oh man... here comes WandaVision to save the day.... 

LOOK! AT!! HER!!!! WOOWWWW!! obviously, giving her her own series will inform the character in more ways than just with clothing, but ... HER HAIR, MAKEUP, CLOTHING, COSTUME, SETTING : IT ALL GIVES SOOOOO MUCH MORE CHARACTERIZATION AND CONTEXT TO HER!

with her magic so tightly tangled with her emotions, she creates a space to play out her grief and goodbyes. she literally ‘tries on’ these decades, and is stunning and memorable in each shift. 

here, she is A MODERN WOMAN of every era. there is always a glow and maturity about her; here, we understand that she is a full ADULT in a stage where she wants a home, a family, and romantic love. wanda is presumably in her late 20s/early 30s and she still gets to be smart and sexy in every episode, with revolutionary outfits of each time period!! (wow, imagine lol) the collar of her tops are pulled up, while still being appealing, sexy, and classy: JUST LIKE HER. she’s a person with ambition, desire, and occasional modesty! like, that inch or half inch means so much (to me and her character). clothing doesn’t define who you are > but we were able to see so much MORE of wanda through the proper exploration of it.

she got to be an outstanding woman, the hero and icon of HER story–– even if SHE is the one writing it lol. examples: when she started to doubt herself/this reality she created, she started to wear baggy sweats. she puts on a cute magician’s assistant outfit on when she was on stage with vision because she’s feeling happy and confident. she wears bright colors when she’s pregnant to show her elation and pure excitement. they gave her the range, the time!! it’s a great visualization of her state of mind, and i appreciated the honesty of it. there was so much more REASON! WOW!!

even when they give her a moment to pay homage to her “original comic costume”, it’s done in a way that is respectful and practical to her character NOW. lol it’s tacky, loud, garish, and unapologetically Wanda. She doesn’t look out of place, just happy and beautiful. she’s a mama havin’ fun on halloween! IT MAKES SENSE. (also we love easily achievable, iconic outfits like this;; makes it fun for US to recreate later lol). it’s a lil silly, but they let her be more than a moody, sexy, troubled, glamorous figure . she is a woman in charge of her own life !!

and the best part.... as SHE begins to learn about witches and prophecies... she chooses this as her ~final form~:

–– they give her strength, regality, respect and pride!!!!! she’s a mother, the strongest witch in the world, a prophecy, a woman stricken by grief, a person with her own motivations.... i think this outfit really reflects that! she is STRONG.  she is WANDA. she is THE SCARLET WITCH.

there is no longer a question of who she is, what she is, or what she wants. it’s all answered here, and the outfit accompanies the sentiments of that episode. dark, mature colors match the seriousness of her abilities and mental state. her hair is wild yet tamed , and her costume is functional and finally with explanation: she is a witch, beyond earthly comprehension. it can be whatever the hell she wants it to be! it’s not ‘of earth’, it’s of her expression and emotion.

tbh, i would not have minded this time if they gave her something more otherworldly, ‘sensual’, colorful, and feminine™, as we have learned that those ARE parts of her. BUT, they reinforce her strength and tenacity (and on-going troubled state) as her greatest characteristics and that is wonderful lol.

i love the way the lines of her suit contour her body and flare out, like how her magic has a tendency to spread around her. i love her cape/skirt situation lol, it’s motherly and queen-like, while making a very ominous and intimidating silhouette. like damn, she is That Witch™™™™™™ . the color, tone, shape, and devil-like horned crown –– makes her hero-status totally ambiguous and I LOVE THAT FOR HERRRR! 

finishing Wandavision (2021), we have many questions of where her story will lead us next, but we have no question on WHO Wanda is anymore. I’m very excited to see where we go next, and what her clothing will reveal about her. i’ll eat that shit up, no matter what is isss

✨s4 theories and wishes✨ because I woke up today thinking about it and I haven't stopped it's ruining my schedule:

-Darius. Needs. To Cry. Let. him. CRY.

-On a more serious note, Darius will probably doubt his abilities as a leader next season. Now that him and Kenji (who's pretty much been his greatest supporter since s1, if maybe not always for the right reasons) are in bad terms, he might start questioning himself and try harder to keep the rest safe, ultimately pushing himself to his limit and breaking down. He has to let the team know that he can't carry them on his shoulders all the time. He's 12, he's a child, let him live the yacht life for a minute please.

-Literally ANY info on Brooklynn's background. We don't know her last name, the only mention of her parents is iffy, and we have nothing about her life besides being an influencer. My opinion is that anything involving Brooklynn will probably start showing up this season, maybe not taking too much time until s5 (if there is which there better be)

-Also she was recently kidnapped, let her deal with that ok?

-Give her a break from third-wheeling Yasammy all the time please, girl must be on the verge of screaming "YOU BOTH LIKE EACH OTHER"

-Sammy's season was s3, but her time to shine is definitely not over. Mantah Corp is very much one of the few options on the table for villains in s4, and we could see her dealing with them again and trying to protect both her families: the one back home and the new one she found. Not to mention she's got the flashdrive, which unless they just lost it, someone probably took it away from them because Wu is still dancing around and making new dinosaurs in FK sooo what happened there?

-Showing her trauma after being poisoned. Excuse me but if they showed us how Ben is not okay after the month he spent on his own, I think it's only fair that they show us a similar plot for Sammy. Just because she's the most happy, bubbly character in the show doesn't mean she's just going to brush it off.

-Actually, remember that scene from View from the Top where Kenji asks Sammy about the hang glider scene and she goes something like "nope! I've blocked those memories from my mind!" and it sounds like a joke? Yeah well it's not a joke anymore. Sammy's going to try and block her trauma, but she's gonna be a little "off" through the season. Yaz notices and wants to help her, even though Sammy keeps reassuring her she's ok. But Yaz sticks by her side and well *"Sammy realizes she also has a crush on Yaz" sticky note comes into scene*

-Ben dealing with leaving Bumpy behind. It was kinda resolved last season but I don't think it would be reasonable to just forget her. But also DON'T MAKE IT A HUGE DEAL LET HIM BE SOMEWHAT HAPPY FOR ONE SEASON OK??

-Him having an episode to bond with each camper, like Zuko in s3 of ATLA, because he really hasn't gotten a lot of interactions with the rest (friendly interactions, not "running for their lives" ones I mean).

-This is kind of a stretch but: Yaz becoming the new leader

-LISTEN, I know it sounds weird at first, but think about it. All the other campers have issues to work through (I'm not saying she doesn't, but in matters of the season, the others will have a little more focus), and with the show starting to head towards taking the stress off Darius's shoulders, she would be the best candidate for that. The whole thing would not happen in this season only though: it'd probably start in this one and become more fleshed out in the next one. It would be a good close to her character, since she started out as an "I can do it all by myself" kind of person and she'd end up as the leader and having learnt how to rely on others. Not to mention that it would parallel The Art of Chill which was in s2, so even seasons mirroring each other. AND also allows for more Darius and Yaz bonding *does a little dance*

-OH BOY where do I even start with Kenji???

-Listen, he f*cked up. And badly. What he said to Darius has no excuse. But I think the whole situation might bring us to finally know what's going on with his familial issues, and allow him to become an even more rounded character. Kenji in s2 was amazing: we started seeing more sides of him that allowed us to become more attached. But in s3 it felt like he just??? backed down a little??? In some episodes (especially Casa de Kenji) they gave us more complexity, but in others it felt like his s1 self all over again. I really hope the whole situation with him and Darius pays up at the end and they both become better characters and their bond becomes stronger (and if it goes the other way around I stg-)

-I'd also like to have someone talk to him about those issues. In his own words (very true words I'd say), he's "the glue that keeps all campers together", but in very few situations he's ever comforted back (the only one that pops up is the end scene in Casa de Kenji where Darius assures him he's a good friend and well, they're on opposite corners now so what happens?).

-This is not a wish but a demand WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH KENJI AND THE MERMAIDS EACH SEASON IT'S GETTING CONCERNING.

-YASAMMY CANON ENDGAME JUST LET THEM SHOW THE GAY

-The pining will have no end. Sammy will probably realize her feelings this season (that is if she hasn't already and we're just too blind) and Yaz already has accepted them and The Long Run left very clear that she would do anything for her at this point so seeing them act awkwardly cute around each other and the rest acknowledging this is quite possible. Not to mention that if Mantah Corp becomes important next season it could make some drama, with Yaz becoming more involved in the flashdrive situation (I literally have an entire plot for this believe me)

-KILL THE TENSION BETWEEN BEN AND KENJI IT'S DRIVING ME INSANEEEEEEE

-I'd like to say that I don't care if the tension involves romance or not but let's be honest, if there's no hints towards canon Benji this season I will throw myself off a boat. Anyways, even without a shipping lens it makes no sense that they continue to ignore each other. No two people in the show have never interacted for longer than 4 episodes, and these two have been avoiding any interaction for the entirety of s3. Not to mention that they're a big part of each other's arcs: Kenji started dropping the Mr. VIP facade and showed more vulnerability after Ben fell (which btw, are we ever going to acknowledge his reaction or was it just for laughs?), and Ben found his way back to the campers because he found Kenji's butterknife and then saved them from Hap. They need to talk.

-BOYS DAY OUT EPISODE BOYS DAY OUT EPISODE BOYS DAY OUT EPISODE I NEED IT SO BAD PLEASE (alternatively: boys day out but it's angsty because Ben tries to lessen the tension between Darius and Kenji but the argument blows up right there)

-B DUO EPISODE I JUST KNOW THEY WOULD HAVE A "PARTNERS-IN-CRIME" DYNAMIC I JUST KNOW IT

-More of the friendships we saw in s3 like Samji and Brooklynn and Yaz

-Some outfit changes. For example, let Ben have another shirt (IT IS RAGS), Brook sweetie leave that jacket it's about 100 degrees outside, and let Kenji come across a razor please

-And the most obvious one: Bring. Back. Dave. and Roxie
