I don't have 15 mutuals :( and I have no idea who has already been tagged so free tag for anyone who wants to do this!

1) Are you named after anyone?

First name was one I just liked, but I stole my surname from a character from the Fable games because I wanted his confidence even though he's an absolute ass lol.

2) When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday, a little. The cat tripped me over in her excitement for wet meat and it hurt my surgery wound.

3) Do you have kids?

No. I’m not mentally stable enough to adopt at this stage in my life which wouldn't be fair on the kid. Maybe one day, maybe never.

4) Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Not anymore. I was a very sarcastic teen though.

5) What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Their fashion sense. I think you can tell a lot about a person by what they’re wearing and how they’re wearing it. Even if it’s something I wouldn’t wear personally due to taste, I love love love seeing how confident people can be when they’re wearing something they feel good in.

6) What’s your eye color?

Blue.

7) Scary movies or happy endings?

Both, depending on the mood lol. I definitely love my horror films but sometimes I just need that comfort of a guaranteed happy ending.

8) Any special talents?

Being self-deprecating lol ummm.. I actually don't think I have any, but that's okay!

9) Where were you born?

The dim, wet north-west of England, which is where I still live lol

10) What are your hobbies?

Writing, of course, as well as daydreaming about said writing lol. Reading too, though not as often as I used to. I also enjoy playing tabletop rpgs, though I much prefer being a player rather than a GM.

I do like gaming, though apparently I don’t play “real games” whatever that means. My favourites are easily the Lakeview Cabin games and the original Oddworld games. I also like Sims (though I’ve been losing faith in the franchise) and I’ve recently FINALLY got Skyrim so that’s been a lot of fun to play.

I like puppetry too, though I’m really bad at it lol, but I don’t care.

11) Have you any pets?

Yes! I have a polydactyl calico cat called Emily <3

12) What sports do you play/have played?

I don’t play sports anymore, mainly because of chronic illness kicking my ass. But I used to play field hockey in high school which I actually do kinda miss. I also did javelin briefly, if that counts.

13) How tall are you?

5 foot 2 inches, much to my disappointment.

14) Favourite subject in school?

Either Maths or Textiles, I loved both.

15) Dream job?

Unrealistic, money no object dream? Writing and making my own animated films. Which I've never actually admitted before.

I think one of my favorite parts of nami’s character is like. she may not be as much of a powerhouse fighter as her crewmates, but she has a kind of fierce protective streak that rivals even luffy’s. there’s something to be said for the way she sees herself as specifically luffy’s protector, too. she looks at luffy and understands that he is trusting her to help him navigate which social rules he can keep ignoring and which ones he needs to obey and when; to know which way they need to go and what they need to do to keep the ship and crew safe. I’ve called her his replacement for pragmatism before, but it’s more than that! nami gets upset with him after Jaya and when she realizes he’s gonna make them wait 2 years bc in those moments he has made it impossible for her to protect him and she HATES that. I think it’s why she and zoro understand each other so well sometimes, especially when it comes to luffy; they’ve both built their sense of self and purpose on protection and a refusal to ever just accept a loss as inevitable, as differently as it presents in each of them.

#this is going in the #romance dawn trio #tag bc it has inevitably become about them lol. but genuinely I think zoro and nami rely on each other to keep luffy safe #one person to keep him safe from bodily harm. one person to keep him safe from those who would take advantage of him #so they implicitly trust each other within those roles. zoro will never lose a fight and nami will always turn a situation to their favor #nami #and like nami’s protectiveness is SO key to her character esp. bc she’s SO emotionally repressed lmao #she spent her whole adolescence protecting her village all alone. and now she protects luffy knowing she has help #and that they’ll protect her in turn #one piece #op meta

I think that the party's communication issues can be summed up as "man, is it awkward to tell someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with them if you've only know them for a few months? Probably."
