spy - uff.. ok. spy is a complicated one. an arrogant, stubborn, self centred femme fatale. she wear her mask (i'm sorry i don't remember how it's called T.T) that covers her face like og spy, but i want here to wear a neckerchief and sunglasses. she still wears a suit, but it's a woman's suit, so shorter jacket and some other small differences. the main problem with spy is that a relationship between father and son and a mother and daughter one it's REALLY DIFFERENT. if you are the one that suffered for 9 month to give birth to a human being you didn't want, you are not just gonna ignore her for the rest of her life, no, you gonna have pure hatred in you soul for your daughter… the maternal love is so easily obscured by this resentment against the child you feel ruined your life. spy's really spiteful and maybe even malicious against scout and the fact that Jenny keeps her in such high regard would only increase that love-hate sentiment. spy wants to have a loving relationship with her but she connected the very concept of her daughter to that profound hate she had for so much time that she started to loath herself. that hate towards Jenny became toward herself, but she won't admit it so she conceive that feeling behind her "disliking scout". a bond between a mother and their children is so deep that when severed in any way leaves such deep scars and may will never heal. and when your daughter sees you everyday but not her own mother, you know that wound for spy is open to the world to see. she isolates herself from the team to NEVER create a bond with anyone, she's always alone, she must know everything about others and make them scared of her, it's the only way she can keep control on her own emotion. if someone would find out ANYTHING about her she would feel vulnerable, if she bound with ANYONE she would be vulnerable, and she won't allow it. she won't never allow it again. but Jenny is the living manifestation of her vulnerability, the only time in her life in which she was happy, in love, but from where she fled the moment she had a physical representation of that. so no, she doesn't hate scout, she hates herself, she hates that she is vulnerable, that she can't be vulnerable, that she crave a loving relationship with her daughter and the consciousness she fucked everything up. her love for Jenny is so deep inside of her that is impossible to grasp, is at her very core but covered by millions of layers of hate and self loathing, all protected by the mask of a cocky and egoistic woman.

Hm. I think my default idea is that after the war and all. Rody reaches out to izuku, and they start talking and catching up. A few visits maybe, sporadically.

And I think that in one of those times there'd be a confession. I can't decide who would do it first. Maybe Rody, who is brave and has learned to go after things he wants, who knows that time is ticking and izuku has a scary job so he needs to speak before he never gets the chance. Bro it's crazy. A single dnd session fixed me. AND IT WAS SUCH AN INTENSE ONE TOO (but also soooooo good, like harrowing for my character but in the best kind of fictional heart-pumping way omg; she has a motivation now!!!). (this is an oversimplification--what largely fixed me was avoiding the lab for a week (I still got some lab work done, I just purposefully didn't see anyone while doing any of it) and also skipping a couple departmental social events. the lack of perception was so freeing (I did still go to class, but that's just class) (also even this isn't the whole truth--it turns out that sharing my angst and receiving comfort was, in fact, what I needed. thanks mom!))

Was invited to a halloween bar crawl with the dnd group which should be fun but the group is doing Avatar TLA characters so I can't use the Scarlet Witch I've been designing (working on a sewn version rather than crocheted.. may be able to use it at a comic con in 2025 (or use halloween as a penultimate draft and make a better, more accurate version for the con)). Thankfully Katara's outfit is supremely simple by my estimation, and it could honestly probably be sewn in like an evening (and it's because it's so simple that my little crafter brain is all "why not just make it yourself?") and probably not even cost that much (not planning to go for extravagant fabrics). From there I'll just work on getting/making adequate accessories (many of which I have the supplies for but at hooooommmeeee ugh).

So: working on two costumes. Scarlet Witch which I intend to improve and embellish for future events because I stan one (1) chaos queen (and most people will probably do her 2010s comic or MCU screen costumes, so I can be ~different~). Katara for one event because I want to see what a bar crawl is like (though I fear I will inevitably out myself as someone who does nawt do that kind of thing T.T). If I am thorough during the design process and can successfully source my fabrics I think it should be doable.

The worst part of coming out of this most recent funk is absolutely getting my appetite back to normal. A week of low fuel definitely had its impact physically and cognitively I think, but I'm back into the groove of cooking (chickpea curry is unmatched and I treated myself to some heavily-spiced salmon, so I'm eating like a queen rn). Glad I grocery shop like a doomsday prepper, so going 2+ weeks without a proper grocery run didn't actually impact me all that much.

Today I am thankful that I enjoyed the musical I went to yesterday! It was clearly written by a person who enjoys theatre and all of the silliness that comes with that. Granted, it was weird! But it was also so great! Special applause to the choreographers, set designers, and live musicians :D

3. how long have you been on tumblr? i think i first joined when it was in beta in like 2009! i didnt really know how to use it though. i used it intermittently over the years to post silly poetry and save stuff from the internet i enjoyed. i never really interacted with anyone or understand how that worked. i made a new account in 2020 when i got interested in fandom stuff during pandemic lockdown times..

5. why did you start your blog in the first place? well i answered that above kind of ... i've always sort of gotten weird obsessed with whatever i'm watching or reading, no one else i knew really had the same level and that i remember during the first weeks of lockdown searching stuff on what i was watching instead of bothering uninterested people about it and ended up on tumblr looking at fan art of zuko and sokka :P and all these people losing it over fictional characters i was like ... i think i'm home? so i got a tumblr to participate in it more.

We had a rough patch because he cheated but we're back to being good (her name was Kate, he wanted to recruit her for the cult and she did pilates. He gave her a whole backstory lol I was low-key impressed). The way I was so upset when he confessed to cheating, we were in the middle of the recovery for his leg and he still found the time to cheat?? He was walking with crutches and a cane t.t. He brought his mistress home too. I had to keep going just out of curiosity, the levels of audacity were off the charts. My girlie was 3 months pregnant and in the middle of moving houses too, she was devastated.

Anyway, he begged for forgiveness and we moved to a new home. Kai really wanted a hot tub and we're having twins :')

PS: He got so intense about not liking how my girlie looked pregnant at one point that I made him have a whole nightmare about her asking him for a divorce and leaving for someone better to set him straight. It worked, he was so devastated he cried.

PS2: I did a full role-play of the nightmare too, it was my little revenge. He ended up in jail for stalking and harassment because he broke into her house to take pictures of her with her new boyfriend (he did it by himself he had a whole plan to 'ruin' her). I just decided to call the cops on him, like no babe you're going to jail <3

“Lunar Chronicles: Scarlet” by Marissa Meyer. Something about sci-fi retelling of fairytales is a novel idea. [I’m sorry lol (>v<)]. Seriously tho, nice book thus far and I really enjoyed Cinder as well, the previous book in the series.

"My Love Mine All Mine" by Mitski. Newer song [as far as I can tell, just spotted it today for the first time] from Mitski who makes a lota wonderful songs that make me go (T^T) or (^u^) or some mix of the two. Is nice!

Currently Watching:

So actually just finished watch an anime called “Gene of AI”. I enjoyed it but not really on my top anime lists. First season [only season] ended with an episode I really enjoyed, but rest of the episodes kinda feel like filler or have the “end in same situation we began at” sort of thing going on. Which is fine, but kinda annoying when big things happen that is left on a “wondering what happened/will happen” that sometimes never pays off in any way (-.-)… I’m rambling…

Imma be honest I don’t think I’ve ever read a fanfic series.
