I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS.

SO mikulás is the hungarian word santa claus for anyone whos wondering. mikulás/santa day in hungary is on december 6th, and it's complerely separate from christmas. kids put their boots out in the window and receive treats and gifts in it! (yes i always put both boots out bc... choccy... i needed as much as possible...)

and u know how bad kids get coal in america or whatever? bad kids in hungary get smth called virgács. its this thing. it gets translated by google as like "rod" or "birch" its basically meant as like "u should be fucken beaten w this thing for being bad". from what ive always seen, most santa day packages have virgács in them lol but like, along w the treats. ive never seen a kid actually just receive that as like a punishment ajdjdk just as im sure not many ppl just receive coal for christmas

now christmas is totally different thats obviously on the 25th (in our household, the 24th, but we're the exception since thats normally just christmas eve) but... if santa came on the 6th then who brings the gifts, u might ask. BABY JESUS. ITS BABY JESUS! baby jesus brings the gifts...

as for some other customs, we dont do stockings as far as i know. santa and the reindeer are a popular motif and stuff but it doesnt quite make sense for christmas? it makes more sense for santa day on the 6th... idk as a kid growing up w hungarian traditions but A Lot of american influence, i kind of associate the reindeer and the sleigh with both holidays, but i also remember mixing them up and thinking baby jesus was going around in a sleigh- idk. weird times. kid brains do Things.

basically we have two separate holidays in december and on the 6th we get some chocolate and maybe some smaller gifts and then the actual big gift stuff comes on christmas. also leading up to christmas we do advent calendars which are also a thing in america i think. i always had so much chocolate in december bc i got TWO advent calendars with chocolate for every day from my parents and grandparents and then me and my brother also had an additional advent calendar that was a cloth thing that we hung up in our rooms with pockets for each day and every day some kinda treat would Magically Appear in it. so much chocolate.

also i have to tell this story- my mom unearthed some incredibly old letter i wrote as a kid to jesus (with my christmas wishlist). and listen... i had no idea where the man lived so i put down the address as heaven street 777... no further comment on the matter

oh also part of advent preparations is the advent wreath! we light a candle every sunday leading up to christmas. the one with the 3 purple and 1 pink candle is the traditional, the pink candle is lit on the third sunday. the colour purple represents fasting, repentance, and reflection. the pink candle is for joy and the virgin mary. separately, the candles in order symbolise faith, hope, joy, and love.

also if ur in church during the holidays (and ur catholic) then u know the priest also wears purple during the advent time (the other time he wears purple is easter and when ur one-on-one confessing). and he wears pink on the third sunday. thats just smth i mention bc i think its neat, i havent been to church in a decade lmao

Second (and we're about to get real sappy here and imma cringe later reading this but oh well lol), I made this account to get back into writing as it's been a dying art that I've constantly didn't have the time to indulge in. I've had this Tumblr for a [VERY] long time, but never used it until this April when I started posting stuff. And now, it's become quite an engaging journey; posting fics again, reading and commenting on other's works, making new friends, and learning a bit from them (especially from ppl younger than me like wow talent??!! 🤨) Sometimes I get overwhelmed or feel as though I'm overstepping people's boundaries and feel out of place with everyone, but then I realize that's normal, it is what it is, and just continue writing. Yet, despite those feelings, I come back to such nice people in a wonderful community. Sure, there are some ups and downs, and people get in each other's faces, but it's okay bc nothing is perfect. As long as I can keep writing, engage with y'all, and put some smiles on some faces, then I'm perfectly content.

How do you deal with people online who don’t like you, mock you, talk shit, hate your gifs, make accusations, etc? When you reblog/make fandom content, engage with LGBT+ content or adult content, etc., people have STRONG opinions and project those onto others. For example, there’s a popular meme going around dragging a text post I once made years ago. Even now, it’s a reference some people recognise, and every time I see it reblogged, I think about thousands of people laughing at me. Being on this site and engaging with “problematic” content — like most TV shows, celebrities, corn, and so on inevitably are — often feels like you’re just opening yourself up to be a target of other people’s standards and expectations. It’s hard. You’re someone with a decent amount of followers who engages in lots of different content backed by passionate people. How do you feel? Have you been trolled, received horrible anons, etc.? How do you handle it? Is it just easy to delete and brush off? I’m feeling kinda down these days about it all, so I wanted to get your perspective on…just surviving online, I guees (even more so if you’re sensitive).

ugh i'm sorry that you have to deal with those bastards! people who likes trolling and bullying people online need to go outside, touch some grass, breath some fresh air, instead of sitting down scrolling through the internet (especially this hellsite), and taking the joy out of other people who wants to enjoy their fandom. the internet isn't healthy.

i think everyone deals with online bullying differently because everyone have different personality? in my case i found there are people who accused me things that i've never done, i was like "i don't even know y'all, all i do here is to dump my gifs, reblog stuff and leave." there's people who used to gaslight my inbox but then i blocked them, now my dash is more peaceful than before.

so at the end of the day, all i do is block those annoying people, hide annoying tags whenever they reblog my posts, filter them out, and post whatever that makes me happy and joyous (but with few considerations like "oh i wonder if this post gonna annoy some ppl? maybe i won't post it").

I would say Harry Potter but honestly, it’s just Snape and then other Alan Rickman characters…so Alan Rickman LOL. Also I’ve been known to write Final Fantasy fics (for 7,12 and 15 specifically) and a wild Naruto one in my olden days. There are others but Alan is my main thing rn and for the foreseeable future.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Bad Habits, Young and Beautiful, Seven Devils, Thrilling Tea Time, You Don’t Love Me Anymore

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes because it’s just nice to talk to folks who have enjoyed your things ^o^!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don’t know what those are. I mean I guess Seven Devils? But it’s not really angsty (too me at least).

All of them because I don’t know what sad endings are.  Havent my blurbos suffered enough.

I have not and hope not!

Yes (3 of the the top kudos are smut ranging from…unhinged to unhinged). I’ll write almost any kind of smut but I have some no goes but mostly anything.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Do I write them? No not generally. Have I written them? I was going to say no I haven’t and I would be lying. I have one that will never see the light of day that I wrote as a young teen that was a crossover between multiple fandoms that that had nothing to do with each other than I had OCs for each of them. The premise was that they all put on a homecoming production (if you don’t know what that is, in short students put on a whole thing where they dance and sing to songs from specific decades that end in the same date as the year the current year to celebrate alumni who graduated on years that ended in the same date. i.e. 2023, 2013, 2003 etc). ANYWAYS I don’t know what I was doing and it never got finished but I think about how unhinged it was. There had to have been like 5 different fandoms in it minimum. Man was preteen me having a great time.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

No and lets keep it that way 😊 or else.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not that I know of.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, it would be a disaster tbh bc idk what deadlines are.

Any of my blurbos/OC or reader 😊. (i.e blurbo/me) LOLOL but like for a media where it’s not me, fictional me, or me again it would have to be Tidus/ Yuna from Final Fantasy X. They had a such a wonderful love story and they make my heart wobble.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

All of them but unfortunately some of them (most of them) may forever stay unfinished because I’m just not good at writing multiple chapters. See Seven Devils and how long it took me to get the last 2 chapters up. AND IT WAS ONLY 7 CHAPTERS THAT WERE PREDETERIMED. Anyways I have a Final Fantasy 15 one I would like to finish because all the chapters were planned out but then I went to university.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Erm I’ve gotten comments about how well I write details and it’s flattering because honestly, I feel like I’m just word vomiting (stares at the next question with dread). But I guess details are my strengths? 😅

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Jk (is she) Uhm I think my dialogues can be a bit bland and go on and on with no real end or why the conversation is going that way (she should go outside and talk to ppl more). Also the transition from platonic to romance (nervous laughter) it’s why one of my HP fics isn’t being written and why I usually just dump readers into things that area already established or almost close to.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

What an apt question, I’ve actually been struggling with this for some fics lately because I have characters who speak another language (Mandarin). Some languages work well for fics written in English i.e the ones that naturally have Romanized words like French, Italian, etc etc . And some (stares at Mandarin) don’t because of how every word would need a tonal mark basically and it’s tedious (again just my thought). I could just write them in characters but that would be even worse for English readers LOL. So now I just go "and so said this in Mandarin" and sometimes I add clues giving readers a hint letting them know. Anyways TLDR: Go for it if you want to, some languages are tricker than others.

Either Final Fantasy 12 or Naruto can’t remember 100%

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Really asking the hard hitting questions aren't yall 😭Erm um. Ayo I don't really know tbh. I'll go with Seven Devils bc it was absolutely unhinged and it was the first multi chapter thing I completed which I'm proud of!

But also I'm quite having fun writing my current fic (shameless plug for Entangled Hearts right here u should click it!) mostly because @smilingformoney lets me yell at her about my thoughts and she yells at me about her thoughts and we are like yeee good times. Also I can also give my OC some trauma LOL but also a sweet puppy in human form as a boyfriend (and maybe even husband)

firstly let me say i am so sorry for not answering this sooner!! i wanted to formulate the right response/have time to reply with enough stuff to update you on!!! i hope you were able to join your clubs nessa!! and I completely get what you’re saying about love being a choice like ahhh i feel like i watch/hear so many people describe love as this thing we fall into and it happens rarely but I seriously do not believe that, because you can find love everywhere especially for humans we have all types of love, and love doesn’t always have to be romantic, it can be platonic which I feel like people often forget!! platonic love is so beautiful and strong, if you have the right people to give it to you then you can seriously thrive off it !! so i like the idea of love being a choice and not something you’re destined to find, because eventually you will find it but in many different ways/aspects in life. sorry this is so long but seriously I think that love is what oneself defines it! I find love within familial relationships but also romantic and friendships, and so many other places too, I whole heartedly believe if you ever feel down about not having love you should sit and think about all the people who have love for you as a person, often times it can reassure you that love is real and you have it all around you! SYNTHESIS

Perfect Now is not a fan favorite and I am so not here for that discourse, so please do not pester me with negativity about this chocolate drop of a song. 

As others have pointed out, the parallels with other songs written by Louis, Harry or for One Direction are extremely present. Especially Little Things is echoed loudly, but there’s so much more to be read, as you’ve seen. These are songs that are clearly near and dear to Louis, bc he wrote them or bc performing them was special, like with Little Things and What Makes You Beautiful. A lot of the same emotions come back in Louis’s writing, so much so that you can’t help but see the larger story behind it all. Throughout Walls you can hear him singing about not giving up and holding your head high despite hardships, and if you look back at his earlier writing, it’s always been there. Through the Dark is an early and striking example of this style of Louis song: you’re sad and i love you so much i will do anything to make that undone but while you’re sad know that i sill very much love you and you’re also strong enough to conquer all of this on your own but i’ll be by your side anyway 

basically through the dark’s chorus:

Oh, I will carry you over Fire and water for your love And I will hold you closer Hope your heart is strong enough When the night is coming down on you We will find a way Through the dark

It is very clear that Louis is faced with a partner - I can freely say it’s Harry now right? are the antis gone by now? i think so - that struggles with his body, with his identity, with how he wants to present himself vs how opinions on that might push him down and dampen his spirit. Louis, always the supportive boyfriend, then tries his best to make him see the light, while keeping that space for his sadness, his struggles, or their joint struggles. Accept the sadness but don’t lose your heart to it.

I’ve linked @bluewinnerangel​ ‘s post at the start of this post, but I need to stress how good it is once more as I also shamelessly insert a screenshot from it here bc it makes me feel a lot and summarizes perfectly just how deeply Perfect Now is woven into the history of their lives, relationship and especially “you”s/Harry’s personal struggle with their identity/body/confidence...

Because yes, i absolutely think these tattoos are being echoed in the song. “Never gonna dance again” as a lyric and then as a tattoo on Harry’s legs like shackles around his ankles represents the sensation of shame, of being stuck, bc of your desires, bc of your sexuality. Obviously we can never know why Harry got the tattoo, as in what experience pushed him to choose those lyrics or what exactly he recognizes in himself, but it’s safe to say it’s about the struggles of being queer and navigating relationships with that identity and with others.

Most importantly, the sense of shamelessly dancing, dancing like no one’s watching, dancing together with your lover, as a celebration of self, life, love, is the key here. Harry got that tattoo ages ago, at a time when he undoubtedly felt way more stuck. When he couldn’t dance freely the way he wanted to and with whom he wanted to. Perfect Now is a reminder to him, an encouragement to still dance if he wants to, no matter what people say or think. Significantly, then, Harry’s own Treat People With Kindness heavily features that same sentiment, but in an extremely positive light: i have found a place (in life and in myself) where i feel like i have given and was given second chances and now i dance bc i finally feel good in my skin.

Louis has obviously been there from the start, or at least from when or before Harry properly started experimenting with/questioning how he likes to present and how he identifies as. Before he ever dared to consider pulling on a pair of women’s skinny jeans, never mind a ball gown. Louis has seen him limit himself as well as being limited by others ofc and has always seemed to have been there, with a secure hand on Harry’s back, to encourage him. Even at a time when boys wearing nail polish or skirts was unthinkable. Just remember how much encouragement Harry needed when growing out his hair; Louis literally joined him. yes this might make me cry okay i need to stop bc i’m going off track and this is just becoming a larry breakdown while i was trying to hype up this beautiful song. 

What I’m trying to say is: Louis has always seen all of Harry. He’s always had his back, no matter what. He’s loved every part of him. And now, on a completely gender neutral album, in the sweetest, softest song off of the entire thing, Louis puts in the word “queen”, and that is so very deliberate it makes me want to scream. It’s Louis confirming his love again and again while affirming the multitudes contained by Harry, including everything involving his gender journey. brb crying

It’s a raw Louis, an honest, sweet, kind, loving partner, and both of them are fucking lucky to have each other, and I also wish that all of us end up in a caring and wholesome relationship like that. I truly do.

- Bottom Line - kind of ocelot also, his devotion to bb again but specifically like. idk 'the apple falls, destiny calls, i follow you' was the line that made me go (!) bc i saw a post on here where someone i think it was a user called captmelbourne mentioned the whole. ocelot born from a snake shaped scar thing. 'destiny and shit' was the words they used i believe and like! fucking. exactly that... idk. ocelot and bb being so weirdly horribly intertwined bc of the boss is what makes me go insane every time

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to my december blog celebration as of late. at first, I was gonna do a bunch of holiday-themed fics, but then I kinda realized that I have a lot of overhang (aka things I’ve promised to finish, but haven’t gotten back around to).

so, in the spirit of the holiday season and in the spirit of giving, I’m designating this entire month to delivering on (some of) those “broken promise” fics.

hi friends and moots,

Maybe 5 people tops will see this post so I'll brave things out and post it. I never got a lot of interaction anyways hehez. So anyways...

I know most of the ppl in the fandom doesn't know my existence but I've been here since the latter part of 2017. You might see my Tumblr handle from time to time on the timeline because of reblogs (I post funny stuff sometimes!) but that ends there.

I am a silent viewer of everything that has happened and is happening in the fandom. I celebrated during good times, I cried over the worst times. I felt like quitting before but my trust towards Armie and Timmy, as partners and as individuals, is bigger than the battle/s they're fighting. Also, who am I to lose hope when they aren't? I am supposed to hold on when it's tough, not let go.

I'm just posting this to tell you all charmies that I love you guys so much. I never talked personally with all of you but you have been a family to me already thru all the posts we shared over the years about the boys. I appreciate every one of you who never fails to trust the process even how hard it is.

What Armie is facing right now is fucking painful and scary. If I could only offer a hug or anything, I totally would. Not to brag or anything but I'm a good judge of character that's why when this shitshow started early last January, I never once doubted him in my life. I may not know him personally, not interacted with him personally, but over the years, I get to learn how his heart works. And that man owns a heart of gold.

We lose a lot of good people in the fandom too. When someone leaves, there's a part of me that's hurting because there is no guarantee if we are gonna be able to celebrate with them once everything is alright. The group number is getting slimmer but the trust and hope never does and at the end of the day, that is what matters.

My line of thought is messed up so bear with this trashy post, I just hope that everyone who reads this up to this point is having a wonderful and safe day. We got this. The boys got this. I hope I can talk and be close friends with all of you but I don't know how to hold a conversation so I'm just here looking :( anyway, Dance party with you all soon xx

I don't know who that blind is about or if it's even true but it actually fits Tom *cough* spideytea *cough* but it also fits Sebastian Stan (some of his fans are... a lot) and I would also say it def fits Harry styles (his fans are actually worse than toms I think) but I don't know if they'd refer to him as an actor plus he hasn't worked with many studios

Some stans go way too far sometimes, and some actually make up blatant, negative LIES about some celebrities and publish it as fact. 🥴 It's one thing to speculate, or post your opinion about what you think or feel, but it's a TOTALLY different thing altogether to be pretending like you know Tom (or Zendaya) personally, or know ppl close to them, and are spilling all this negative rhetoric 24/7 about them. 🥴

Idk who the blind item is about tbh (or if it's about multiple celebrities being fed up), but it's def shedding the light on a growing problem imo. 🤷🏾‍♀️

And then some fans wonder why their faves don't post as much on social media anymore. 🙄

In the past, Zendaya has often spoken out in a classy way when some fans would come for her on Twitter. I especially recall a very classy response back that she gave a fan on Twitter who was making fun of how her parents look (of all things!!! 🤨). But she kept it classy and told them off in a queen-like way.

Now days, she doesn't even bother anymore to respond back to negativity (maybe it bothers her anxiety or her spirit, or maybe she realized there's just no use). 🤷🏾‍♀️ Many celebrities go the route of no comment, because sometimes "clapping back" and responding to things only breathes more life into the story and keeps ppl talking about it longer. So I can understand why some prefer to go the "silent" route. 🤐

Ironically, I have often hoped that Tom would one day speak up and speak out a bit about some of the segments of his fandom that can be toxic, cruel, and possessive. I just know he has a ton of things to say lol. Sometimes fans need to be put in their place when they overtly cross the line.... For example: Those who constantly make fun of him all the time for silly things, those who nitpick and bash his role choices, those who embarrassed him and disrespected his friends and fellow Marvel colleagues at a comic-con in front of a large live audience, those who routinely disrespect, ignore, and refuse to accept his girlfriend Zendaya who he loves and has been dating for over 3 years now, etc.... Like some fans are just too much! 😤😒

I wish Tom would at least speak to some of the toxicity of fans one day (just ONCE), and just let his fans know how he feels about those sorts of things. Even just speaking out ONCE would "set the tone" imo, because some fans just feel like Tom is a nice guy, so they think they can say whatever mean things about him and they go too far. I feel it would do some good for him to speak on it (imo). But I know he usually doesn’t put himself in any confrontation, and probably doesn’t like anyone hating him. (Who does??) 

Don't get me wrong, Tom has some really GREAT and wonderful fans! There are just a small outlier of fans who are questionable imo. Thankfully, they are not the majority. It's just that the negative minority usually make more noise than the overwhelming positive majority at times. 🥴

With that said, I actually feel like one day he may speak up if things get too crazy in the fandom. Idk if anyone has noticed, but he doesn't seem to feel the need to be posting all the time anymore, esp like he was back during the lockdown lol 😆 Maybe he was just bored hahaha 😅.... Plus he has been really busy back to back with films. But it could also be that he's just growing up, and he doesn't feel the need to be posting all the time for fans. He used to apologize when he wasn't posting for a while, but now I feel like he doesn't feel the need to... which is good! He's often said that he wanted to take breaks from social media anyway. I think it can become toxic and be a bit mentally and emotionally draining at times. 😔😓 I can't even imagine how it must feel if you're a celebrity. It might even be a turnoff at times.

If you heard how Tom spoke about social media during the Onward press tour, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Granted, part of his comments could have also been due to what he was going through during that time (Jacdaya/NYC 👀), but I think he's just learning to have a bit more of a balance in how he views social media. 🤷🏾‍♀️

QoTS 5x02 Reaction Post

My brain has basically been Jeresa airhorns since the episode aired lmao but I’m going to try to add some Thoughts to my liveblog from last night.  Here goes:

First of all thank you to @gild-and-fire​ for making this tag meme for me that is ALREADY coming in handy.

Iiiiiiiinteresting that the moment James’ name is cleared the Ice Queenpin of last week thawed quite a bit, right?  Sure the trademark cool under pressure business dealings were there for Teresa (including a bit of ruthlessness) but in very calculated, ultimately successful way rather than terrifying.

James is back like what? 48 hours and already throwing up speed bumps for the descent of Teresa’s soul.  It’s gonna be a tough job, but if anyone can do it....

This episode was a Jeresa Callback All U Can Eat Buffet

There were SO many from the greatest hits: Take Care of Yourself, You too / “Smart” / You Deserve That / I Want You to Stay etc.  to even visual cues from past Jeresa scenes - the talk outside about going to NYC / 2x04, the lunge into the kiss from 3x09.  And of course the cigarette scene that @medievalraven​ goes over in her great meta.  It was an episode tailor made for parallel gifsets. 

I’m kinda shocked they didn’t add a driving together scene for old times sake.  Still holding out hope for a S5 Jeresa adventure episode too.

These two, as ever, are so so soft and so so stupid lmao.  But even with the interruptions of their private scenes, they packed SO much in. And I loved how you could both tell they’d learned from their past miscommunications.

They were a little rusty at first - doing that thing they do approaching it from an angle instead of head on - T: “You didn’t have to come back.”  J: “Yeah I did.”   T: “Are you staying?” J: “Do you want me to stay?” But right out of the gate James is like this is what I feel, I need you to verbalize what you want from me. Which by end of the episode Teresa does.

But then he says “these Russians are animals” and you can practically SEE Teresa visualizing his death in her head so she’s like "you should go”.

LOL at James playing the emotional game of chicken with THE master of the game Teresa Mendoza.  Him being like “Okay I’ll pack...this is me walking to the bed slowly...packing...to leave...this is me leaving....and I’m going to wander around the house...slowly... in case anyone needs anything...just in case...do a shot with Pote...get to know Chicho...oh hey, I’m already packed let’s go to NYC” lol.

“I’m a quick healer” If only, my friend.

The laugh!!! the smiles!! the heart eyes!! the “people who you love” meaningful eye contact!!

The KISS - THE LUNGE - THE WAY JAMES CUPS HER HEAD WITH HIS HAND AND THEY TILT THEIR FOREHEADS TOGETHER - THE WAY JAMES TOUCHES HIS LIP AFTER LIKE WE’RE IN GODDAMNED PRIDE AND PREJUDICE!

The smoking scene.  Poor James was probably thinking of a victory celebration a la 3x09 like “will my stitches hold for that?? Lets find out” and then

Teresa comes out with a CLEAR “I want you to stay”!!!! growth.gif

Only to  drop the (albeit heart eyes included) hammer of “You and me can’t happen.”

I love how James didn’t technically agree.

Can’t wait to see if Teresa caves physically or emotionally first....

Just gonna leave these lines here: “I thought we could be like normal people” / “Get lost for awhile, get these hands clean” / “[change] is the only way to survive in this life” / “we can’t happen...maybe in some other life but not this one.”  Mmmhmmmmmm.  

Non Jeresa stuff:

I really like Oscar the Dominican so far.

Teresa’s “We can double our business or go to war. These are my terms.” CLASSIC Teresa smarts with Queenpin power...I loved it.

The judge: “You’ll be the next Mexican I set on fire”. He can’t just die now, his death better top Cortez’s death by chainsaw b/c this had me ready to drive to NOLA and do it myself.

I loved the expression on James face when Oksana said “[Kostya] wasn’t sure you’d save my life.” LOL like saving other ppl’s lives is kinda what Teresa does, if only I could get Teresa to save her own.

Is the Oksana stuff legit?? It felt really convenient that the “sleeper cell” was dead before Teresa could talk to them.  Were they really rogue or did Oksana just kill off everyone who knew otherwise?  We’ll see. Kostya agreed to her new terms for now.

I loved that of all the many conflicts introduced in the first ep (James, NYC Russians/Dominican rivalry, waterfront $$, the kill team, etc) so many had some sort of resolution or solid movement FORWARD in this episode.  That’s something I really missed from the earlier seasons: mini conflicts that had a 2-3 episode arc instead of *cough* dragging out all season (s4).

Speaking of which, Boaz’s sixth sense of when things are going too well for Teresa remains unparalleled lol.  But I can’t wait to see what JT does next. He’s killing it. Maybe literally...

And now.....the baby news.

At first I was too happy to get an extended James and Pote conversation to care but is anyone else kinda irked that it was POTE who shared the Tony story? I get it story wise w/ his own Tony redemption opportunity on the horizon with KA’s pregnancy they wanted to get that “this world is not for a child they make you weak and vulnerable” ominous foreshadowing in there but oof.  I wish it had been a Teresa/James convo first. 

A baby can be a catalyst for a lot of things (as if Teresa isn’t already feeling the pressure to get legit fast) but what I’m wondering is this:  If it comes down to protecting pregnant Kelly Anne or Teresa, in the heat of the moment, who will Pote choose? He violently reacted to the incarcerated teen boys and that was before he knew KA’s news.   

I’m glad James stayed.  Teresa needs someone who is focused on HER safety alone and as evidenced many times this episode, she definitely will need it.

ok long rant abt attraction incoming bc i am Slightly confused

i know everyone is different but how often do people usually get crushes ? is there some sort of average ? and what abt vague romantic feelings that dont really develop into actual crushes ? do those happen a lot more often ?

like i know that sexual attraction is smthg that happens fairly regularly for allos (???) but what abt romantic attraction ? sometimes i wonder if maybe im a bit grayro but the only reference point i have is my best friend who seems to feel romantic attraction more than i do but idk ??

and then theres that whole thing of "looking for someone" or "dating around" or whatever they call it. how tf do ppl do that. is that based on sexual attraction ? like "oh youre hot maybe ill develop feelings too lets give it a shot", or do ppl actually just,,, meet someone at a bar and think "yup ! im feeling a connection !" and what abt blind dates ???

idk i dont get it. i dont think i could do that, i have to wait till i get a crush / catch feelings first, but then again, actions dont equal attraction right ? like just bc someone doesnt have casual flings doesnt mean theyre demiace, so itd probably work the same for romantic attraction ? not dating like that doesnt mean im aro

Anyways since i seem to be the local alloro everyone’s coming to with attraction confusion I’ll try my best to explain why my fellow allos seem to act so confusingly sjdjfjfjg

I started developing crushes on people vaguely around 5th grade. They were generally pretty vague and faded within a few weeks/months, then I didn’t experience romantic attraction again until pretty much high school—I’ve had like, two genuine crushes on people, a few vague things on random people or fictional characters, celebrities, etc. I’ve found that as I grow older romantic attraction becomes more intense.

This is nowhere near an accurate statistic, but judging from both my experiences and other alloro friends, I’d say experiencing the average for romantic attraction (at least for those my age, high school ish) would be around 3 to 7 times a year?

Like I’ve had two genuine (gone on for months, could not stop thinking about them) crushes this year, and like four or five vagueuish crushes on just random people or fictional characters etc. My alloro friends generally have the same amount with a few more vagueish or fictional crushes.

So yeah I’d say that seems to be the norm around the alloros I know?

Yeah vageuish feelings are more common than genuine romantic crushes and shit, they happen a lot more often and generally fade after a few weeks/months and aren’t that intense tbh

Oh yeah that looking for someone or dating around is often not based on actual romantic feelings and shit. It happens for many reasons, like either amatonormativity convincing people they need partners, sexual attraction, just hoping to hook up, but yeah it’s not really based on romantic attraction since it Very Rarely happens that instantaneously.

Yeah that does happen sjdjfjf. I don’t know how to explain it it’s like you meet someone and you’re immediately like hi hello i didn’t know you five minutes ago will u marry me tho. Like that “feeling a connection” does happen, though it’s kinda rare and not very frequent. Sometimes you just platonically get along with somebody as well and you’re like “might turn romantic let’s give it a shot!”

Blind dates I don’t know since I don’t really care for them, a lot of people are just like “why not I have nothing better to do” or “hopefully I’ll find someone I like!”

Tbh I couldn’t do that either mate, like it seems weird af to like Actively Look For Dates. Like if I meet someone cool or an instantaneous connection then yeah might ask em out but like looking for dates?? Yeah no thanks my man

Yeah actions =/= attraction! It does work the same for romantic attraction!
