I dont have any additions to Teyvat language yet (other anons have a more in depth explanations while mine is just shitposts wheEZE--) but I did have an idea for a Genshin AU.

I'm pretty sure everybody has heard about the blue alien people Avatar. Tribal people from another planet. (Also I just stumbled upon the forests of Sumeru while going through Chasm quests. The one that has giant mushrooms).

Imagine Genshin in the Avatar Au. Sumeru can be based on the first movie (It fits cause from what I can explore of Sumeru reminds me of the time I watched Avatar of the first time. Pure awe and wonder..) While the Water nation can be based on the 2nd movie, Hoyoverse hasnt released the name of the Water Country yet so we're just waiting. Mondstadt can be based on the upcoming 3rd (4th or 5th? Idk they had it lined up) movie that involves being high above the clouds. Kind of like the Jade palace or the Floating Abode in the serenitea pot.

Its all I could base for now since the other movies dont have that much info yet to be paired with Genshin's countries.

Originally, it was the Seven Sovriegns and you, and eventually Phanes and their Four Shades,

And they literally all quickly came to realize u literally made this planet and began to start the first traditions of worshipping you!

Like putting gifts or hand made goods at the base

(Ppl have also gotten a tradition from Morax/Rex Lapis and Guizhong and other adepti to leave birthday letters to offer you, which ties into what i say below⬇️)

Ya know,

Eywa the tree could even be a sort of source to the eyes of Teyvat of what you look like while u were playing the game

Like how Eywa's little jellyfish reach ppl in the forest and shit? I think?

So like i would imagine that whatever u make certain vessels or acolytes do most often, is what they think they should offer u :0

Bow users give u hunted game like fowl, or the treasure from puzzles that required arrows (like those bursting blue balloons?)

EPISODE 8 TRIVIA:

- the big monster they fought in the beginning was called a Crawling Apocalypse which looks like this. terrifying !!!

- bizly really liked that william banished it. he was originally not gonna let him do that but then "i realized your character can do so little and that was cool so i said fuck it" we love william pity points he is such a loser and he rolls so terribly <3

- they start talking about one piece because grizzlys saying things abt how certain parts of dakota are inspired by luffy and bizly goes "ive never watched anime" which is the biggest lie in the world

- grizzly: "yknow we were about an hour into the episode before i realized wow i havent done anything productive yet"

condi: "you just hit on vyncents mom for like 20 minutes!!!!"

- and then they start talking about how dakota and chip (bizlys pc from riptide) would either be best friends or hate each other which is really funny bc there are now MULTIPLE what if crossover episodes where they meet and interact and thats exactly the dynamic . i love them

- condi wasnt expecting his dad to be dead, he thought theyd have to fight him

- he kind of hesitated taking the sword !! vyncent doesnt really know how to feel about using something that belonged to his father

- he wasnt entirely Present for the part where his dad betrayed the party, he was sort of fading in and out of consciousness so theres a chance he didnt actually get the full picture. condi knows this out of character and vyncent knows it in the back of his mind somewhere that his dad might not actually be fully evil but hes too angry to come to terms with that yet

- hes struggling a lot with the fact that his mom.doesnt know about the betrayal. he doesnt want to tell her because "its not his fathers pride at stake, its his mother's memory of him" and that makes me so . :(

- THE GREATS!!!!!!!! THE GREATS ARE HERE i love the greats. surely nothing bad is happening to them

- they have a couple theories as to whats going on with the greats:

-- condi: theyre in this state because vyncent took too long getting them back here out of his head

-- condi: they were killed when they got transported to the other world and there was no way to get them back completely

-- charlie: something happened in the time where vyncent was transported to prime and the greats had died, so someone did something to keep them alive by putting them in his head. maybe they could only be kept alive by being in vyncents head

- grizzly tries to insight check bizly irl to see if any of their theories are close so far. this does not work . he rolled a 17 btw

- none of them trust minerva they think she might be secretly working with the lich. bizly defends her by saying "shes also in the middle of basically an apocalypse i think shes allowed to be a little mean to you"

- le frog is the only french person ever. this is brought up with NO context no explanation

- bizly is sharing some of the thumbnail art from youtube because this was right around the time the first few episodes were being put up publically !! most of them are just the same as the official refs but the most important one is le frog bc im not actually sure if youve seen his offical design yet . also tide used to be white. we dont have to talk about white tide

- bizly says pd feels more like a DC comic than a Marvel comic. hes right about this

- charlie starts talking about marissa meyer books and this is important 2 me because the lunar chronicles was an extremely formative piece of media for me . she apparently has a book called renegades thats superhero themed and i have not read it yet but i put it on my list specifically because of this. wahoo!

tgis is SUCH good trivia for this ep thank u dude... ouagh. really solid meal here. i love these last couple episodes so much.. there's so much fun stuff happening here i'm enjoying all of the greats stuff & getting like a solid Vyncent Moment for a while.

i LOVE the william pity points its great! it WAS cool as fuck!! also i gain +5 hp every time a gm goes "who give a shit if this isn't technically how the game mechanics should work, it's fun for everyone at the table & makes for something cool and makes sense narratively."

i will be using my current nano project for this because honestly this is the epitamy of writing i have right now and i love talkin about it. sooooo GOOOO

1: Bare Basics

the tagline. the who when what where why. why are u writing this fanfic. for me its the Talking: i want my angel and demon to talk about Feelings, so im gonna make them talk about FEELINGS. this is personal fulfillment. it might take a while to get there, but i want them to TALK. for you, i suppose would be for ford and michael to meet and go on whimscal adventures. basics!

2: How To Get There

so how are we making aziraphale and crowley talk. how are we getting ford and michael afton smushed together in the multiverse. you, of course, have told me how that works. now is it important enought to flesh that out before the rest or just needs to be explained in a quick flashback? your pick, but since my topic is so vague, i definitely need context before it. that, my friend, is up to you. nothing much more to it. if u dont know how to start a fic, just explain how we got to what's intriguing about it (the crossover :))

3: Notes.

now is where the process BEGINS. what happens in the story. i usually start with miscellanous bullet points--everything i want to happen, no matter the order it'll happen, in a little page. here's a picture of one of my pages ib my notebook, with things i want to happen in my titanic fic (handwriting reveal?!??!) (TEA, IF UR READING THIS SOMEHOW, DONT LOOK AT THE IMAGES🫵🫵🫵) (SORY FOR HURRIED SCRIBLES, I WAS TRYNA REMEMBER IT ALL)

there's literally no order. just stuff that need to be there, there. even if its as simple as the au coming to fruition, or even just one conversation, PUT IT THERE. its all the appeal. what you're doing this for. dontforget....

4: Outlines

now, before i tell you how to do this, there really isn't a way. here's a picture of my timeline for the fic mentioned earlier (not the titanic fic) (TEA AND OTHER READERS OF THE SERIES, ALSO DO NOT LOOK TYYYY ❤️❤️)

see? complicated as fuck. it doesnt have to be that way tho, obviously: each chapter or one shot could be as simple as "michael is fucking ZAPPED, and meets ford" it just has to be something to work with. (i, on the other hand, need extensive help. so. there's the thing above. theres eve more its just online)

there really isn't too much other than that in the planning department. understand why you're doing it, know how to get there, and PLAN. detail it out. idk if this is an adequet explanation actually. if u need more specifics i can try again, but is what i got. do what works for you, work at ur pace, and such like. it doesnt have to be at this level, or even close. have fucking fun, dude. if u need morehelp, pls ask, or even consult blogs that help out specifcally for that stuff. so i just found your youtube channel like a few minutes ago and I really enjoyed your video talking about different types of social media and your own personal experience/opinions on them because ive been bouncing back and forth between social medias. I personally miss the old twitter and instagram format but ever since instagram has been turned into a reel-obsessed platform it is very difficult to get reach there so i think twitter has been my most safest/casual posting experience for me. i felt like on instagram i had so much pressure to post reels and i never gave in but it was just super frustrating, sometimes really wanting to just completely leave it entirely, but for now i guess im trying to just post more. im not a tumblr user really but i had this tumblr acc ages ago so i decided to log back in just to message here, but i wanted to ask, if theres any way we can talk further abt this privately i would love to go more in depth ! i dont check tumblr often so im not even sure if you will ever answer this haha, or how i would know if you did or not, but i guess a question that also comes to mind is, how do you post without overthinking? i have so much art i make so many doodles and unfinished wips, and people post wips all the time ! and its like, i cannot bring myself to do that either... im scared of someone either tracing over my art/stealing my art /ocs and just im not sure i guess posting wips makes me not want to finish the art, but when i dont post often i often feel pressure to post fully rendered stuff and sometimes ! i just wanna post a cute furry oc with thigh socks is that so much to ask !!!!!!! so my input on avoiding overthinking b4 you post is to start sharing your work in smaller places to build up your confidence! if you're worried about tracing/stealing, i don't want to say that's not a legitimate concern, bc it IS, however i will say it really doesn't happen too often! ive been around for years and i dont think ive...ever had anyone trace me, the most i've seen is heavy referencing and usually if you bring it to their attention, they instantly stop - when this happens i say it's 70% of the time just young kids that don't realize what theyre doing is wrong or didnt realize youd find out. you can also watermark your work! theres nothing wrong with watermarks, even if its just on a sketch! while it cant necessarily guard against tracers, it can guard against blatant theft. you dont necessarily have to post your work in progresses if doing so demotivates you; but you dont have to exclusively post fully rendered art, either. try to get into a habit of making doodles n more simple art in between your big pieces, and get into the swing of posting those! if you feel like you havent posted in a while, just make a quick doodle or something along those lines and share that! you can build up your confidence with posting online in general by starting small - you could start by sharing your art in discord servers or with your friends so you get more confident about sharing your work regularly. "ill do this when i'm good enough" is a SUPER detrimental train of thought...bc there will never be a point where you'll admit to yourself that you feel like you're ready. that's just a part of the artistic progression :') if you have that mindset, you'll ALWAYS have that mindset, and you'll never actually do the projects that you want to! if you think its outside your ability, it probably isnt really, and you should give it a go anyways! even if it doesnt look perfect or turn out exactly how you wanted it to, you'll probably still be happy in the end bc u gave it your best effort :]

i saw a post recently talking abt how "gay" got used as a slur a lot more than people acknowledge. and it got me thinking of my school years & how often it got thrown around.

thing is. and heres where my train of thought goes off the rails. i actually experienced the word "incest" as an attack more than the word "gay"... which. ill explain. but it really got me thinking on this whole purity culture & demonising of incest depicted in literature & yknow taking things too far with whats considered incest.

bc at the end of the day. the reason incest is illegal (mostly) is to prevent inbreeding & the health issues that come along with that. if ur not blood related then theres no problem.

and like. the reason i got called incestuous and generally ostracised was bc i was close with a boy in my year. like we dated for a week as 14 yros do. and at some point i discovered that hey. his last name is the same as my aunts and lo and behold hes my 2nd cousin thru marriage or smth. so. not incest at all.

anyway that p much ruined our friendship (& it was a friendship. i broke things off before i even knew we were related bc i just didnt feel the same way and we stayed friends for a little bit) all bc some kids couldnt let it go that we had the vaguest relation to each other. he got bullied for the rest of our school year & ive felt horribly guilty for leaving him bc i wanted to be "cool" & ended up without any close friends like we were.

TW for discussions of "gay" used in a negative way, and discussions of the use of the word "incest," and its association with child sexual abuse, though there's really nothing terribly bad here as I'm not going into detail on any of thse topics. (If you need something tagged, though, let me know.)

Now, I'm old as dirt by tumblr standards, and I remember VIVIDLY the word "gay" being used in a negative light. As a kid, I didn't really see it used as a "slur" per se, but it was used to mean something was bad.

Like, if you saw a movie that sucked, you'd say "Man, that movie was so gay." It meant something like "lame."

So obviously, it wasn't a good thing, and when I got a bit older and was explained why using the word was bad, I stopped, and fortunately most other kids did too and it mostly faded from use (in that sense) at least as far as I noticed.

(I'm not saying gay hasn't been used as a more nasty slur/word ofc, this is just my personal experience with it.)

Granted, keep in mind when I was in high school, our LGBTQ+ club was just the "Gay/Straight Alliance." Back then, it was basically, you were gay/lesbian, or you were an ally. We never talked about trans people or nonbinary people or ace/aro people. Ofc every one of those identities/kinds of people existed, but as far as my world went, they didn't. Most of my circle of friends was queer in some way, but many were closeted or semi-closeted for various reasons.

Anyway, sorry for that detour. Now, as to your incest situation. I'm sorry that happened to you. It definitely wasn't fair. You didn't have any way to know if you were related, and if/when you did it was "easy" to end the relationship. But kids are kids, and they always love to find a way to single people out, and they probably didn't really care what the actual truth was.

Even if you'd discovered having a similar name was total coincidence, I'm sure they'd still have bullied you for "incest."

I wasn't bullied for it, thankfully, but I did have a classmate in high school with the same last name as mine. My name is very common in some places, but where I lived at that time it was not, so everyone assumed we were fraternal twins. He was a nice enough guy, but I really didn't want people to think we were siblings. But no matter how many times we both explained we weren't related, no one believed us.

Sometimes, once someone makes their mind up about something, there's no changing it.

As for "abandoning" your friend because you didn't want to be left out and regretting it, I get that too. There was a guy I dated when I was around 16, and we were very passionate, but I think honestly I entered a major depressive episode and lost all interest in everything, including him, and... anyway, I regret how things ended between us even today, many, many years later. I wish I could shake my 16-year-old self and tell them not to be so cruel, but we can't change the past, only learn from it and move forward.

With regards to antis/purity culture taking incest so far, I do agree it has gotten ridiculous. As you said, the reason incest is taboo is because of inbreeding, because if your (general you) DNA is too closely related, you increase the chance of having major/significant diseases due to a lack of genetic diversity. But antis tend not to understand the WHY's behind things (since they also believe pedophilia is bad bc it's disgusting, and not because it hurts children, who become real grown adults).

But I have seen some really wild takes called incest. Like a ship from one fandom where the male and female characters are friends. A lot of people consider it "problematic" apparently, because they have a "sibling-like" relationship. They did not grow up together, they aren't related, and yet that's "incest" according to antis.

I do want to mention another reason that incest can/is considered so bad, and it's because, despite what antis may think, most sexual abuse of children comes from someone close to them in their lives, often a family member or close friend. So for a lot of people, when they think of "incest," they closely associate it with sexual abuse of a child. It's possible that's why antis get so upset about it. I don't know. But that is another aspect to it. (Ofc for you, in your past situation, you were both around the same age, so that's not the case, but that association is there.)

But, in the end, in fiction, it doesn't matter, because there are not actual children who can be conceived or harmed, and so the whole purpose behind why incest isn't allowed in many places in modern times doesn't exist.

I hope you're doing OK now, anon. Don't be to hard on yourself. A lot of people have done things when they were young teens they regret and wish they could "undo," but as long as you learned from that experience so you could become a better person than that 14-year-old version of you, I think you're doing OK.

Tbh i feel very jealous of my friends bc their parents are all so nice, chill and fun. Like one of the main reason on why i barely have any friends is bc of my mom like when ever theres an event in my school she always gets in a bad mood and i cant enjoy the event with my friends, she even tells me that i should stop following them around even though we were just having fun.

AND their parents lets them buy the clothes they want, me and my mom went jeans shopping since it was a requirement for school and she got mad at ME bc i told her i didnt like the ones she picked and told me i was talking back at her. Now im to scared to ask her if we could get new clothes (even if we use my allowance) bc my wardrobe looks horrible rn. I feel embarrassed whenever i go out bc of my clothes :')

what in the goddamn are u talking abt. honestly im struggling with where to start with what u said bc theres so much bullshit here its almost unbelievable. like oh my god...

first off: nowhere here did i say or even imply that 'all men are predators' and you know damn well thats not what i meant, either. blanket statement, just to be crystal fucking clear since you like to make leaps of judgement: i dont think all men are predators. ive never thought that and i will never think that. end point. this ties into your last paragraph so i simply will NOT mention it again as 1) its not the main focus of this post and 2) you have no business assuming i would think that, especially because i never fucking said it. what i was trying to get across (and i did, seeing as most people understood this post Perfectly fine) is that adult men fans of newjeans are, with almost 100% certainty, not looking at this group of extremely young girls with pure intentions. there isnt a way for a man who is 20+ years older than a literal child to look at them dressed provocatively, singing inappropriate lyrics with questionable dance moves in a way that is healthy; why cant they be interested in one of the many other girl groups that are around? one of older women? of adults? because thats not what men fans of groups like newjeans wants. there are plenty of men out there who listen to girl groups; its not creepy. what IS creepy is the way men will look at groups like newjeans; there is a difference between a man listening to an older group like girls generation and liking the music, and a man obsessing over a group of 15-19 year old girls. if you cant understand that difference, then im sorry but i cant help you.

second point, and this has a lot of personal opinion on it so i understand a difference of thought: newjeans music is both 1) cookie cutter pop music you could hear from any group out there, especially with the rise of y2k being a sound many groups are incorporating, and 2) not very good at all. do the girls have talent? yes, of course they do; i never said they didnt. however, they arent unique to the genre at all, except, of course for their very young age. (and before you say 'there have been young idols before' i know that. im completely aware of it; ive ebeen a fan of kpop since 2009 and have seen the rise and fall of many groups. whats different in recent years is the uber-sexualization of groups. again, i know groups have always been sexualized, but with the rise of very young idols debuting and the sexualization of them continuing, it is worse for minors to debut now more than ever. stop purposefully misinterpreting my words to further your own opinions. next time, make your own fucking post.) now, just to hearken back to my previous point; you dont know me. i know very well what older girl groups went through with their fans; i was around for much of it in the earlier days, and saw just how sick some fandoms got. the issue with newjeans is the 'buffer' fans i spoke about are not trying to protect this group. while they may not be actively being gross or inappropriate, there is still something strange about adults being a fan of such young girls, when a main focus of their career so far has been so sexualized. the only fans who are (mostly) immune to this are people the girls age, as they themselves probably dont realize how harmful everything is. but adults understand; we get it, and we see whats going on. thats why we have an issue. because the only people who are letting newjeans have a career are those either blind to the danger because theyre too young to understand, or those putting them in danger because they know they can make a profit off of it, because, as ive already stated, there are grown men (and some women, im sure) who are looking at these girls with predatory eyes. and thats where all the profit lies.

now, im not sure what you mean by this: 'I'm not sure what OPs cause is, and I do wonder about their own claimed fandom(s) bc some of this sounds off.' but my cause is speaking out about a group that simply shouldnt be around. none of the girls should be there; they are too young to be in an industry like kpop. end of discussion there.

there really are So Many horrible things about newjeans, but the worst thing about their group really is that they really arent about the music. they will Never be about the music. its not as if the girls are once in a generation vocalists, or that their music is incredible and breaking new ground on what pop music can be, or that theyre empowering a younger generation but here's the thing about that; even in the hypothetical world that all those things WERE true i would still think that the group should not exist. the kpop industry - like EVERY music industry on the planet - is exploitative. there are no two ways around it, and while it is a bad enough environment for adults to be, it is Disgusting for children to be in, but ESPECIALLY children who are in a group that was solely made to pander towards and older audience; i.e., adults. their music is not for people their age; it just isnt. all groups have their target audience; newjeans target audience is, without a doubt, adults, and more specifically adult men. that would be a problem for any group of young women, but the fact that they are so young just makes it so much worse. and its not the girls fault; of course its not. its the fault of the people who debuted them; who write their music; who make their styling decisions; who choreograph their dances; who at no fucking point have a single one of these girls best-interest at heart. all they care about is exploiting these very young girls to make a profit and to create a fanbase that has absolutely no qualms about their age; to the fans who have supported newjeans since the beginning, their age is the sole reason to like them. its sickening and it should not be happening but it will continue to bc the people who support them will always be louder than the people criticizing them bc theyre buffered by people who, while they might not follow newjeans, dont see their group as big of a problem as they should. for some reason, when groups like this exist, there are not only outright supporters, but people playing devils advocate and saying 'hey, why SHOULDNT they be a group? theres nothing explicitly wrong with them!' even though there is. there are MULTIPLE things wrong with newjeans as a kpop group. those girls should be nowhere near that industry, and yet theyre in the middle of it. only one member is old enough to be out of highschool; some are barely old enough to be IN high school. thats a fucking problem, and i dont know why some people have such a hard time seeing that.

OO OO OO i have things to say abt this. and this is not an attack on u at all op, moreso a launching point to talk abt my take on this (since my blog is a t12-heavy one)

so i mostly agree w this until we get to the tags (for context, these are the tags. if u cant read em well there is an alt text)

first, tw for adam, his actions (and the triggers applying to them) and t12 for the rest of this post. im on mobile rn so i cant put a cut but imagine one here.

t12 is imo one of the rare cases where we cant exactly be.. divorcable 100%? you can and you cant. i think the course of action best taken is moreso “intake the media but don’t fully death-of-the-author it. keep in mind what he’s done and how that affects his series”

like, for a more lighthearted example, adam was definitely into selfcest, which im not gonna discourse abt the morals of that thats just a thing that was there and on the table. so its not shocking he had noah interact w versions of himself so often.

adam was into kidnapping, stalking, glasses and stripes (no i cant explain any of those). so observers Everything is not a shock.

adam often used t12 and noah maxwells character as a springboard to groom young, impressionable people and even take advantage of full grown adults, so its understandable WHY people dont like adam and hence dont like noah OR tribetwelve. a lot of adams fetishes and personal ideals were all over it.

adam glorified noahs character for a reason, even if he claimed it was the “worst parts of himself as a character”. it clearly wasnt, why else would he have spent time in milos journal for milo to praise the character, and wouldnt have written noah to be sympathetic. he took critiques on noahs character to be critiques on himself so he said noah was the worst parts of him to make him look better. adam doesnt EXACTLY equal noah but the two DO deliberately overlap a lot, and its important to keep that in mind when approaching the character. but at the same time BECAUSE adam was so connected to noah, the character felt very real to a lot of people. a lot of noah being “dumb” is very reasonable reactions to me considering half the story noahs deeply stressed and the other half he’s being told the world is on his shoulders.

on that note, theres still a lot to enjoy about the series! tribetwelve is still a series thats not half bad. it had good editing, fun imagery/symbolism and intruiging charaxters (even if adam didnt know how to write them). i ESPECIALLY think the fan community that prior existed (and still kind of does, even if barely alive) made the series. i noticed a LOT of stereotypically “weird kids” gravitated towards tribetwelve and hence it made an UNBREAKABLE community. even if a lot of people left the sv community after adam was outed, a lot of those people still held long-lasting friendships because of the series. and to say none of those things arent there would be a fucking shame.

people LOVED tribetwelve for a reason, even if most people considered it stand alone not that great (because lets be real some parts of it are just. not that great.) but to watch t12 and not be able to know just what it caused and the influence adam had on its creation is to not address the elephant in the room.

again, this is not an attack on op or their opinion. there is no right way to consume media. this is just a point ive wanted to get out my thoughts for a while but never knew when to get it out or fully express it and i feel like a discussion NEEDS to be had in sv, especially t12, on consuming content made by problematic people, especially if the content can be seen as problematic in itself. my point is, you can mostly divorce tribetwelve. keyword mostly. but people have to acknowlege some of what is put into tribetwelve is disturbing (cough cough NAZIS cough) and the series itself has a poor track record of being used to take advantage of minors, so some people just do NOT want to acknowlege it. however it also holds artistic merit as any piece of media does and has created a strong, tight-knit community thats almost completely morphed the series itself. and both of these are okay and CAN coexist and are imo very decent takes to have! and at the end of the day, maybe tribetwelve was just the friends we made along the way.

We Literally Already Have Jason Thank You. myers is meant to be some batshit 5'10 dude completely off his gourd and ASIDES FROM ALL THE WEIRD MISOGYNY AND VIOLENCE of the rzs, they just do a shitty job of recharacterizing mike

AND LASTLY THE 2018 TRILLOGY..... ok so 2018 was solid. kinda dumb, but we get laurie for the lesbians and bald asf myers. kinda stupid asf to be hyping him up if they're picking up right after the first one, and im bummed they didnt keep the sibling plot, but whatever

KILLS, however. this movie is true to its name and has good kill scenes but thats ALL i can say in its favor. it's muddled commentary on mob mentality and policy brutality completely overshadow any point it may have made about ableism within the horror genre and it ultimately ends up advocating for the police to murder unarmed citizens while simultaneously being extremely preachy in condoning mob violence, encouraging the public to leave things to the cops and encouraging cops to be more violent. BUT: mike takes out all those firefighters and it fucks hard so its ur call to balance

and u want 2 hear what i think abt mike..... ugh i luv u ok. so ive said it before and ill say it again i LOVE two dimensional evil characters who are just SHITTY and villainous and nothing behind their eyes. but since michaels establishment in the very first film, we are given too much of his background to properly categorize him as one of the above. this is a medically abused severely drugged young adult breaking out of a decade and a half of serious trauma and going off the shits one night; one can hardly take a character one meets as a helpless child and condemn it to the label of monster. my design and interpretation of michael are heavily based on my experience with mental illness because, when u really boil him down, he is a mentally ill person who was never given the help he needed and was in fact exploited, abused, and mistreated, and went off the rails bc of it. its largely a critique of the medical field: i hate doctors. the way i see michael is as literally just some guy, some complete rando, who was dealt shitty mental health at a young age, handed over to abusers, and was able to achieve the catharsis and vindication of becoming the monster theyd told him he was bc. well i love rage killing and excessive violence lol

deep sigh anyway thank u SO much 4 asking dont take any of this as law and make sure to formulate ur own opinions ofc donate a billion dollars to ur local mentally ill person AND REMEMBER: horror movies is for laughing and going "AH!" and thats all there is 2 it.

the way the resentful energy does affect his temperament is rly nice bc its not too in your face,(i mean outside of the Shaky Hands of Rage) but like he clearly has a much lesser control on his anger and impulsivity (tall order) than both before bm and after hes ressurected

and jiang cheng. being the tough love uncle . having raised the yunmeng jiang clan from the rubble all alone, his whole family dead, some of it on the blame of his own brother, his siblings, his closest friends gone.......and only jin ling there needing his guidance.

THE PARALLEL BETWEEN JIN LING BEING A LIFELINE FOR JIANG CHENG AND A-YUAN FOR LAN WANGJI AFTER THE BATTLE AT THE NIGHTLESS CITY

and like . the fact! that lwj and jc dislike each other!!. jc projects blame onto him for wwx both “leaving” him and indirectly causing their families deaths and when hes so consumed by it he makes wwx an enemy, lwj is there now? trying to protect him?? and lwj, who can never understand the pain that wwx , indirectly or not put jc through, but who was right there when jc tried to kill him and will never allow him to hurt wwx again. and how they like. in a way project blame of their tragedies onto each other while dealing with some type of survivor guilt and in their own way still loving wwx through it all??? amd in way its kind of fundamentally selfish but also tragically understandable? and like when u put it against the fact that after he disappears during the sunshot campaign they were looking for him together and fought together??

JUST. THE CHARACTERS. AND THE RELATIONSHIPS IN THIS. MAN. UGH. GOD.

and like i think thats what makes it so good? its such a sad and painful and violent story, edgy even, but its compelling bc at the center of it there are all of these relationships and different types of love and hope and. :( i love it

Hope for the future

one of the ?? things i love the most is the fact that the main cast are often in situations where theyre hunted/running but they like. never wear disguises... just going around in their gorgeous expensive clan clothes and hair ornaments and distinctive spiritual weapons.... maybe w a straw hat on, just for kicks
