There's this guy I've seen online and he says the most stereotypically white supremacist conservative things and it's what you'd expect so everyone's like oh yeah whatever. This guy again. But then sometimes he'll say things that actually make sense and that normal people agree with, and everyone's like, "did this guy Actually say something right for once? Maybe he's gaining awareness maybe he's getting smarter," and it's like guys you know that this is how they get you, right? You know that he's doing this on purpose, right?

It's like a well known tactic of white supremacists to say things that normal people believe or agree with (whether the white supremacists agree with it or not), to start trying to convince people that aren't super conservative that sometimes they're right and to keep listening so that the white supremacists can slowly turn their beliefs around and ease them into becoming more and more conservative and ignorant. People do know that, right? That's exactly what he's doing

another reason i think that xie lian felt an instant connection on the ox cart is because he and hua cheng both grew up in xianle.

there are maybe 4 people still alive that grew up in that culture. based on my own experience, you can pick up on things like accent, cadence, references, and humor that suggest a person is from the same place as you without consciously noticing it. that sense of comfort and similarity probably played into their instant chemistry.

The corners would be ...probably Ulfang, unless I can think of a more boring villain; Melkor|Morgoth|Idiot#1 ; Tuor, probably (or someone more niche) ; can't decide between Elrond or Finrod ... no, I would probably put Nienna there. anyways currently reworking savior and godDAMN is he soooo,,,,,,, my boy i love my boy. why does he literally combine the melancholic vibe of dust and then whatever the hell killer's got going on in his lore. hes literally so sad and emo and depressed but also has a perfect amount of i-dont-care-ness and built in commands,,,,,, hes so PERFECT my vision of this modernized savior is soooo amazing,,,,, none of you will be ready trust (hyping myself up over nothing)

Not all of it, though I've had a bunch of it written for a long while actually XD it's been swallowed up in my other IAU wips. Here's some of it though :)

Time swallowed.

“Sky, I can’t offer you much, but the agency said it was okay for you to keep living with me and Wars,” he said, scratching the back of his neck. “If... if you don’t want to, then they can try to find you a better home, or Fi could maybe—"

“I want to stay with you,” Sky blurted out, and Time blinked in surprise.

“...Really?”

Sky blushed, but nodded, nervously rubbing his arm.

Time hesitated. “Are you sure, kid? We’re not exactly the most... stable of homes.”

“I... yes. I’m sure,” he said quietly. “You and Wars... I don’t care if you think you’re not stable. You’re... home.”

He whispered the last part, and Time felt his heart ache again for the boy in front of him, who’d lost so much all at once. Time stood up, and set a hand on Sky’s shoulder, and the boy let out a quiet sniff as Time looked at him.

“Okay,” he said quietly, giving Sky's shoulder a squeeze. “Okay. That's fine."

the way spaces end up getting casually gendered is so weird. i normally try to get to my classes a bit early so i can choose where to sit and it's fascinating to watch how ppl will gravitate towards a certain spot depending on the gender of the ppl sitting nearby. by the time the lecture starts the classroom almost always has a visible distinction between the 'guys' section and the 'girls' section. and it happens individually too even when there's not a huge friend group clustering around the same place.

btw I don’t know if this is a thing anyone is thinking about but I’m not gonna stop drawing Jimmy as a canary. It’s a lovely bird. It’s still something that’s been really important to his series. There’s no reason to drop the canary headcanon just cuz Lizzie fell into the void.
