I think some of y'all don't really get the concept of LOA/Pure Consciousness. Firstly, i will not be entertaining any messages asking me to manifest stuff for them or induce pure consciousness for them. Bloggers won't because they don't owe you anything, you came here on your own, this is something as easy as breathing and they have a life of their own outside of Tumblr. Today started like any other regular day for Chris. The same argument spewed from a tiny question. “Where did you go last night?” Y/n knew that Chris kind of knew what was going on, but she didn’t give him any leads.

“I don’t know what you want me to say Chris.” Y/n shrugged her arms annoyed. Chris sighed and looked at her.

“Yea well I fucking texted Matt and asked him to see if you had talked to Nick and he didn’t even respond.”

“Why would you text Matt?”

“Because you two are fucking close. I don’t know I thought maybe he’d know.”

The unamused expression written across Y/n’s face told him all he needed to know. She didn’t care that he was worried about her or who she was potentially going to see, she only cared about if the jewelry he bought her looked good. Chris watched as Y/n started putting on the jewelry, standing a few feet away from his was this girl who he used to take on late date nights. Was the girl he once knew, gone?

“Babe. Just tell me where you go okay? I can’t keep making plans for us to hang out at night and then you texting me five—.”

Y/n cut him off.

“—Five minutes later and saying i’m busy.”

The girl sighed before gently grabbing Chris’s hands. In Y/n’s mind, Chris was pathetic. He had turned into this soft guy who never grabbed what he wanted. All he did now was complain and critique.

“Chris listen okay?”

Chris nodded and took a breath. Y/n always knew how to get in his head, she was his own personal lighthouse. As she started talking he could barely understand a word that she said, because he had just noticed a huge purple hickey on her neck.

“What the fuck is that?” Chris snatched his hands back and pointed two fingers at her neck.

“Chris okay first of all don’t touch me like that—.”

Chris ignored her and tapped at the hickey. The two fingers pressing deeper as began to speak.

“Nah. You’re not answering the question. Why the fuck is there a hickey on your neck?” Y/n rolled her eyes and grabbed his two fingers. She slowly inserted them inside of her mouth so now it looked like Chris was holding a gun into it.

“Y/n this isn’t some fucking game. Who have you been fucking?” Retracting his fingers, Chris shot daggers into Y/n. He felt disgusted and betrayed knowing that the girl he loved was out and maybe even under some other dude.

“Is it Matt?” Chris blankly asked.

Y/n blushed as she stared at Chris in shock.

With pursed lips Y/n looked down and started messing with the necklace around her. Chris didn’t say anything for a minute as the two stood in an uncomfortable silence. There was clearly a shift happening. Chris walked over to the bed and sat down.

Y/n watched in shock as Chris began crying and clutching at his chest. She knew that he loved her but she didn’t think this would affect him this much. While her mind was processing the scene in front of her, the instant moving of her feet guiding her right at his side.

“Chris please stop crying. I’m sorry i’m sorry.” Y/n started to cry herself as the hiccups of Chris became louder and his once pale face, had now turned into a deep reddish hue. The look in his eyes was heartbreaking.

“Please i’m so sorry forgive me. I love you so much. We didn’t have sex, I just kissed him.”

Chris’s hand grasped at his shirt not trying to tear it off but as if he was trying to rip his own heart out. This is a feeling Chris has dealt with before, having already fallen in love with three people before Y/n. This time was supposed to be different. Why couldn’t he satisfy her? Did he even make her happy? These thoughts swirled in his mind as Y/n repeatedly apologized and kissed at his lips.

“Chris please answer me. I never wanted to hurt you. I love yo—.”

“Don’t say that. DONT FUCKING SAY THAT Y/n.” Chris yelled hysterically. His hands gently pushed away y/n. He shakes his head and grabs her face, pulling it closer before he began speaking.

“Did you always feel this way about Matt?” The tears poured out of his crystal blue eyes like a waterfall and his bottom lip began to twitch.

“Y/n I loved you. I still love—.” Chris hiccuped and whimpered looking away for a bit.

“Do you love him?”

Y/n breathlessly stared back at him. She knew that she fucked up. Before she could respond the girl looked down at Chris’s hand as he pulled out a tiny box from his left pocket.

“Oh no.” Was all Y/n could say as she watched Chris calm his breathing down before speaking.

“You know, tonight was gonna be the night that I would propose.” Chris chuckled dryly. “It would’ve been perfect yk? I would have Nick decorate the restaurant and I even hired your favorite singer to come just to serenade you.”

Y/n nodded while stroking his hair. She pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead.

“Chris you can still do all of that. This means nothing, you know my heart resides with you.” Chris let y/n kiss him again. The feeling of his plump lips against his felt like the coldness of winter.

“Y/n you kissed my brother. YOU DONT FUCKING CARE ABOUT ME. ABOUT US!”

Y/n was quiet as she into his eyes. The same eyes his brother had and for some reason she didn’t understand why she couldn’t feel the way she does with Matt.

“This would mean nothing.” Chris looked down at the box. It held a most beautiful diamond studded ring. The sparkle of the tiny diamonds only shined through the eyes of his lover who he just found out cheated. But when he looked at her, his heart couldn’t help but feel full. Chris knew it would be hard to let y/n go.

Maybe it was because he didn’t truly know how life would be if he did. Maybe Chris just wanted to pretend that none of this even happened. He saw nothing. It doesn’t matter anymore.

“Y/n, i’m scared.” Chris confessed as y/n wiped the tears from his eyes. The look in her face was one that only an angel could make. His breathing calmed down as she pulled him in.

“Chris, what we’ve built is worth more than a kiss. I thought you would love me no matter what.” Y/n got up and started to walk to the other side of the room.

“Y/n wait. I do love you. But you kissed Matt-.”

“So what Chris? So fucking what. I kissed Matt. It was a mistake and didn’t mean anything. You’ve always known how he’s been flirting with me. It’s not my fault if he kissed me.”

“But you kissed him back-.”

“No. Chris. I didn’t realize what was happening until it happened.”

Chris got silent and remembered all the times that Matt would ask to drive y/n places even though he had a car. Matt would tell Chris to “calm down” because he would never do that to his own brother.

“You can’t just show me an engagement ring and expect me to not wanna be with you.” Y/n angrily ranted while on the verge of tears. Her feelings had been hurt at the idea of Chris leaving her for someone else and seeing his new girl wearing the same ring that he once promised to her.

Chris stared into y/n’s hurt eyes. Maybe he was blaming the wrong person here. Y/n did always love Chris and even roasted Matt when they would all hang out.

“Y/n i’m not gonna leave you.”

She stopped crying.

“I’ll forgive you. I’m sorry for jumping to conclusions so fast. It doesn’t make what you did anymore right. I just need some time to process all of this.” Chris said softly. He never wanted to make Y/n feel bad. The tears couldn’t stop coming though. This feeling of pain lingered in his chest, he knew that what she did was wrong but he just couldn’t let her leave him.

“Chris. Thank you baby.” Y/n kissed him and helped wipe his tears. She smiled softly with her arms around him.

“Okay im gonna go get dressed. We have to celebrate okay?” Y/n said to Chris as she looked up to him.

Chris nodded and sniffled. He wiped his eyes and sat back down on the bed. The suit had now looked as if he was forced to wear it. This night has lost its meaning.

In the bathroom as Y/n got ready she thought about today’s earlier events. The smell of Matt’s cologne lingered in her nose as she held up one of Chris’s shirts. She missed him. The kiss had been an accident on her part yes, but the two knew that the feelings were always there. Maybe it just wasn’t well hidden as they thought.

my intention wasn't to say people who loved either HH or HB once should just let it go entirely - I also loved both shows at a point in time, even if how bad they've gotten means I struggle to enjoy even the parts I once liked knowing where it ended up going. if someone wants to read second hand copies of HP or rewatch old HB episodes, I don't begrudge them that

my question was more about fans who aren't former fans but are current, active fans. what I don't understand and was trying to drive at is - what are they getting out of the shows anymore? the writing is so bad now I honestly can't fathom how anyone has the patience for it. even if they still love the characters and their potential, there's not a lot of fun in watching them become hollow copies of themselves

fans give so much to these shows just to have their intelligence insulted by bad writing. it feels to me like the only way to enjoy HH/HB nowadays is just don't invest in the plot that much and also agree with everything Viv says

which is why I bring up LD and TADC. not to suggest they should just be able to substitute one show for another - they're very different tone wise and plot wise, for one thing - but to point out that HH/HB don't honor anyone's time or love, where LD and TADC do. it took TADC two episodes to prove it writes characters more competently than Viv has in the entirety of Helluva s2.

and so much of HH/HB makes it hard to divorce the art from the artist even if current fans wanted to. Viv has this almost dictatorial attitude about how her shows 'should' be enjoyed. coupled together, it's why I asked how the show still even has active fans when they're given nothing but lazy slop writing and keep having to have these sad little convos amongst themselves about how Viv should really get off Twitter and stop having crashouts.

this might just be one where I have to stop trying to understand, to be honest? HH and especially HB when written by Viv solo are honestly the most amateur bits of writing I've ever seen get this level of animation quality behind them. maybe I'm just not going to get what current fans see in it - or maybe it's just because they actually prefer the woobified version of the Stolas Show that everyone else bounced off of. maybe they're Viv's real audience and she only cares about pleasing them, and I just need to let it go

so if a pitcher hits the batter, the batter gets to go to first base assuming he isnt horribly injured by getting an 80 mile an hour ball to the head. they do have to dodge, it is frowned upon to lean into it because bad sportsmanship i suppose

when an outfielder catches the ball, assuming it has not touched the ground, the other guy is out and that is in fact why everyone celebrates ^_^ but if the ball bounces he has to throw it to a base and typically they'll get the runner thats first in line so that he doesnt score.

little tidbit. if a runner crosses home plate but the third out is made. because theres only 3 outs in a half an inning. thats another can of worms i forgot. so dude crosses home but the third out is made BEFORE the dude reaches first, no run! no score there.

thennn for like how many batters get faced, in a perfect world nobody gets on base, it would be 3 strikes per 3 batters so 9 pitches, 3 outs. but obviously guys get hits and get on base and your starting pitcher (the first guy to pitch for your team) might throw about 100 pitches before they go to the bullpen (the cage where they keep all the other pitchers) and go through some relievers before having a closer do the final inning. but sometimes (rarely) a starting pitcher does well and he'll pitch a complete game which is 27 outs. but. yeah. baseball is not perfect and because guys get on base and score, you dont really know how many batters there will be, at least three.

a pop fly basically means that the ball went straight up, didn't go very far out, just straight up in the air.

bunting usually happens because theres no outs and theyve got a guy on base that they want to move, so they just. sacrifice a dude. so the other guy can move up.

the time limit one. for the longest time. no there was no timer and games were like 3-4 hours and most of that time was really boring. so now pitchers get. twenty seconds to throw a pitch and theres a penalty if they dont (i dont remember what that is, its a newer rule in recent years) but. the games end when they end, each inning can take as long as it needs

the pick off attempts also used to not be limited but yeah. 3 hour games no fun so now they're limited to 2 attempts per guy. so say theres a dude on first, he gets his two attempts, then the guy that was batting gets on, 2 new attempts for that guy

the pitcher can totally catch the ball if the batter hits its back but typically its super dangerous because of exit velocity and as long as it didnt hit the ground first, its an out. if it hits the ground, then you gotta throw the ball to first to get the runner out. speaking of the ball, it can hit the ground but once it does, when its caught the ball needs to be thrown to a base so the runner can be tagged, or in the case of first base, you get the force out by stepping on the base. and a force out is an out that you get by not tagging the guy.

another side tangent. anytime youre running to first, the defense can step on the bag (base) and get the out. if theres not a runner behind you, if youre going to 2nd you have to be tagged. but if there is a runner behind you. like a dude hits the ball with a dude on first so theyre both running, you can just step on 2nd base for the out and throw it to first for another out. double play :3

the ball can only really get stuck out of play so it will usually be a foul, but in rare cases its gotten stuck in shirts and catchers gear before and im pretty sure thats a dead ball and nothing happens. its rare so idrk

RBI stands for runs batted in and its basically if you hit the ball and somebody scores, could be a home run, could just be a base hit and someone else scores, thats a run batted in, RBI.

the AL and NL used to have different rules. slightly. like in the NL pitchers used to hit in the lineup but now everyone has a designated hitter which is just a guy that hits in place of the pitcher so pitchers dont get hurt hitting or running bases. its also just makes dividing stuff for playoffs easier. and for the olympics. uh. you could have MLB players but not likely because the summer olympics happen in the middle of their season.

theres a whole other thing called the world baseball classic (WBC) and it happens pre-season and more guys will go play for their home countries. its like the olympics but just for baseball. youd think with the whole culture and MLB thing, the US would win morw, but Japan has won the most because they pump out crazy good players.

My favorite position is third base :3 they're just silly and some of my favs played third. My current favorite is a hard one, I'd probably say Johnathon Cannon from the White Sox, mostly because favorite team but also because i was at the game he got his first major league win ^_^

the chunin exams arc was so interesting for how it portrayed sakura's potential and how people in her life influenced it. kakashi lying about the team-based enrollment criteria because he thinks sakura would be likely to sign up only to appease sasuke, and being genuinely surprised when she shows up anyway. naruto being completely oblivious when sakura was upset preceding the exams and also after she cut her hair in the forest of death. naruto literally dreaming about saving sakura from enemies, being the hero to her damsel-in-distress. sakura moulding herself into a perfectly feminine lady because that's what society demanded and what she thought sasuke would want. versus sasuke calling her out for focusing too much on romance instead of her skills like she should be doing. sasuke picking up that she was upset because she felt inadequate and reminding her of what she was best at -- maybe even better than him -- and never begrudging her for it. ino hacking into her mind because she was sure, not a single doubt in her mind, that sakura would know the answers to the impossible questions on the written exam. ino and sasuke both stepping in to save her during her fight with the sound nin, but only after being spurred on by the brutal beating she took. ino and sasuke getting frustrated with naruto when he commented on how her haircut looked because it made sakura trivialize her experience and offer a fake explanation about women being fickle. the flashbacks revealing to us that ino affirmed that she would one day bloom into a beautiful flower. ino and sasuke serving as a catalyst for sakura to get stronger before pt 1 and pt 2 respectively. idk do you see what i'm seeing

Man, I've been dealing with lots of lousy stuff lately. My cat has been sick, my job has been stressful, I'm struggling to pay rent.

But I was walking home in the rain today and decided to waste some of my precious few dollars on some ice cream for a lil mental boost. I walked in, and couldn't see a thing because there was so much rain on my glasses, but I was wearing a sweater so I was struggling to get them clean.

Then I hear someone say "take it"

I look up, and one of the people from behind the counter was holding out a paper towel. I hadn't even noticed he'd approached because everything was all blurry. And these guys at this corner store all speak English as a second language, and are a bit hands off with people when they pass through unless they're here for the drugs behind the counter. And the way he said "take it" felt more like a "Please, have this"

So I thanked him, and cleaned my glasses, and he went back to his post and said he knows that feeling (I suppose he wears contacts). But idk, after a long day with lousy weather, having a random guy at the store materialize in front of me to hand me a towel so I can see . . . it was really lovely.

And I know I'm very tired and sleep deprived and this was a very benign occurrence that happens to me and to other people a hundred times a day. But I just - people are good by nature. There's an itch under your skin to reach out if someone looks like they might fall. There's an urgency in your throat when you have useful information to offer someone. I think maybe I am just too sad and tired right now, but I just wanted to appreciate that when people look away from the big picture, they are kind. People are out there, at the top, the loud and controlling minority, trying to poison this, to pit people against each other. And I just like to see when people haven't fallen for it, and continue to give in to those instincts.
