Okay look hear me out

I can't be the only person who thinks that Jay and Vania would get along really well (platonically), right?

Because of the whole skull sorcerer thing they barely got a chance to interact in S13, and Vania has only really made cameo appearances since then, but if they like got to know eachother they could totally become best friends.

They're both very energetic and social, Jay would definitely get Vania into Starfarer somehow, but I feel like she'd just like a background character or like a single select part of the series and just read/watch that over and over, but she still keeps up with the lore, mostly because she just likes being able to geek out about things. Jay would try to drag her into pranking somebody but she's scared it'll make them sad so she never agrees to it. Vania would end up visiting the arcade with him out of curiosity one day and they'd find some arcade game that she falls in love with and tries to ask if there's a way to play it in shintaro. Jay can't really fathom when she has to go for royal work because he just sees her as a casual acquaintance to the point where he just forgets she's the queen of shintaro.

And also Vania, Jay and Cole would definitely form a best friend trio. Tell me they wouldn't. Cole would be the person who introduced them, he definitely thought like "She kinda seems like she'd get along with Jay, maybe they can keep eachother occupied for a bit" so he got them to meet up to avoid the looming threat of insanity but it backfired horribly. He still (platonically) loves them though. I say that as if Cole isn't just as much of a menace.

Like everyone else, it was hard for him to let go of his past. It clung onto him, and seemed like it was not planning to leave him anytime soon. Then the question occurred to him: why would he need to let go of something that is essentially a part of him in the first place? Alas, the man learned to embrace the entirety of himself – his past, riddled with wounds and scars of old times. He was never the type to shy away, but didn’t brag around about it either. 

It was just there. Like patches to his own pale skin. And he thought the rough texture of it looked pretty on him.
