They dropped the ball after the lightning strike. Imagine if Buck made Eddie his power of attorney before he got stuck by lightning (in part because Eddie made him Christopher’s guardian). Fox were cowards.

Imagine his parents showing up to the hospital but Maddie had to get Eddie, cause she knew. If he was the one agreeing to take him off the ventilator, while Bucks parents were in the room.

Imagine the conversation Buck would’ve had to have with his parents after. Imagine if he told his mom he did it so she wouldn’t have to make the call about one of her kids in the hospital. Or if he just said that Eddie was his family, that Eddie would know what he would want.

Imagine Eddie’s shock finding out it’s him. It’s always going to be him, because they have each other’s backs.
