Hi! I don’t know if you’re open to requests for continuations, so 100% feel free to disregard this if you aren’t. If you are though, I just read “doctor, you’re married?!” and it made me wonder how Ratio would react if the news spread and his students found out as well and starting asking him a bunch of questions too, especially if reader shows up at some point. Sorry if this is unclear or too similar to the original, but enjoy your day regardless!
From Whisper to Inferno
Summary: After Ratio's shocking announcement about his marriage, the news spreads beyond the Intelligentsia Guild to his students. They bombard him with questions, eager to learn more about his mysterious spouse. Ratio responds with pride and a touch of defensiveness, revealing that his spouse possesses an intellect beyond their understanding. Later, he shares a moment of quiet connection with his spouse, who offers reassurance and understanding amidst the chaos.

After Dr. Ratio's shocking announcement at Intelligentsia Guild, the buzz of his marriage spread quickly through, rippling outward to every corner of the academic universe. It wasn’t long before whispers of his personal life reached his disciples and students, sparking a flurry of questions and uncontainable curiosity. For someone who had always prided himself on his intellectual supremacy and impenetrable exterior, the reveal of his mysterious spouse had become the talk of the town.
The next morning, Ratio entered his lecture hall to find an unusual atmosphere. His students, normally respectful and diligent, were murmuring amongst themselves in hushed tones. A few raised their hands before the class even began, eager to voice the questions that had been burning in their minds since.
"Dr. Ratio," one student ventured, their voice trembling with excitement, "Is it true? Are you really married? To someone... who isn't a scholar?"
Ratio’s eyes narrowed as he swept his gaze across the room. His usual confident, even slightly smug, demeanor remained, but there was a subtle flicker of irritation in his gaze. He had anticipated this. Of course, his students, always so hungry for knowledge and intrigue, would be obsessed with his personal life now that it was out in the open.
"Yes," he said, his tone as sharp as ever. "It is true. I am married. And no, my spouse is not a scholar. But that hardly diminishes their intellectual merit."
The room went quiet as students exchanged curious glances. Some were eager to press further, while others were too intimidated to ask.
"Then... what do they do?" another voice asked cautiously. "How did someone like you find a partner who isn’t—well, you?"
The question hung in the air, almost daring Ratio to respond.
Ratio's lips curled into a faint, condescending smile. He crossed his arms, his posture unyielding. "I don’t see how that is any of your concern," he replied coldly. "My spouse possesses an intellect far beyond your understanding. They see potential where others see only weakness. They have chosen me, and that is enough."
A few more questions came, but Ratio dismissed them with a few terse replies. His usual air of confidence returned, but something about the way he spoke seemed… different. There was a sense of pride, but it wasn’t the pride of a man who had earned his accomplishments. It was the pride of a man who had discovered a rare treasure, something valuable in a world that only valued intellect. And perhaps, for the first time in his life, Ratio allowed himself to experience the humbling realization that love—true connection—was more than just knowledge.
Later that afternoon, as Ratio continued his rounds in the guild’s vast halls, he spotted you. His heart skipped a beat—despite the storm of questions and expectations that still hung over him, there you were, a living embodiment of the “real world” knowledge that had fascinated him so. His eyes softened as you approached, a small smirk playing on his lips. He was relieved to see you—your presence felt like an anchor in the chaos.
"You," he said, his voice low but carrying a hint of affection, "You must be enjoying this, hmm? Watching the spectacle unfold."
You raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in your eye. "You could say I’m intrigued. I never thought I’d see the day when the great Dr. Ratio would leave his students speechless with something other than his lectures."
Ratio chuckled softly, though it wasn’t entirely without a trace of smugness. "I trust you’ve been enjoying the attention," he said, his tone still slightly teasing. "Though I must say, it seems that the concept of mystery is one they cannot seem to grasp."
You stepped closer, your smile softening, and looked up at him with understanding. "They’re fascinated. Not just by the mystery of who you married, but by the fact that someone who always seemed so distant… let someone in. I think they’re still processing the idea that you, of all people, could love."
Ratio’s face hardened slightly at the mention of "love," but there was no anger—only a quiet reflection. "Love is a form of intelligence, too," he murmured. "Perhaps the greatest one."
You reached out, lightly touching his arm, and he looked down at you, eyes softening further.
"They’ll get used to it," you said with a reassuring smile. "And in time, they’ll see why I chose you."
Ratio met your gaze for a long moment, and then, his lips curled into a rare, genuine smile. "Indeed. Let them wonder."

You Will Stop the Wedding! - Azul Ashengrotto
SUMMARY: YOU were the one being kidnapped by Princess Eliza to marry her. How would he react and how would he save you? With the aggravation of he already having a crush on you.
CHARACTERS: Azul Ashengrotto x Reader
TAGS: Fluff; GN Reader; Declaration
WORD COUNT: 1.110 words
Riddle Rosehearts / Leona Kingscholar / Azul Ashengrotto / Jamil Viper / Vil Schoenheit / Idia Shroud / Malleus Draconia
Rescuing You - Deuce Spade; Jack Howl; Floyd Leech; Kalim Al-Asim
COMMENTS: What have I done? Why did I commit to writing this? And why did I write so much? Why was I so inspired? There were seven of them! Why do I do this to myself? So yeah, this took me a long time. But I hope it was worth it, for me and for you.
CONTEXT: Someone was kidnapped to marry some ghost princess and might end up turning into a ghost too. And he just found out that someone was you.
Azul had already offered to help if he had something in return. So when he heard your name, he managed to cover up his concern with that excuse.
When rescue groups are formed, he asks to be in the last one. He first needs to analyse the behaviour of the ghosts to try to figure out the best approach. He is extremely cautious, so he needs all the information he can get first. After all, it's your life that's at risk and he doesn't like to leave things to chance, especially something like this.
When it's the last group's turn, whenever someone needs to stay behind to tie up the ghosts, Azul asks one of the others to do so. And when they ask him why he doesn't stay behind, he starts bargain and trying to make deals with them. He manages to be the only one to reach the ceremony hall.
He followed the plan. He analysed the other teams' data and came up with the perfect approach by the ghost's standards. He even managed to reach her with a bouquet of roses in perfect condition.
He is a man of words, of many words, perhaps even too many words. At a certain point the princess asked him to stop talking. She says everything he says is very flattering. And you even recognize that way of speaking, it's very similar to the way he speaks to potential valuable clients. And perhaps because of that, the princess had realized that it was not sincere.
She was about to rejection-slap him when he asked for one last chance because he had a song to sing for her. She decides to give him this last chance because she was curious.
Surprisingly, there was a piano in the ceremony hall. He sat down, placed his fingers on the keys and began to play. It had a clear, bright, and uplifting sound. He really was talented at the piano. He started to sing, a love song, of course. However, more than in speech, it is in singing that his lack of sincerity would be even more easily captured. The song was a clarion love song, about strong feelings of love, joy, and hope. And the others could tell he didn't genuinely believe in what he was singing. He realized this too. That was his last chance.
Then, when the guards were preparing to take him away from the piano, he subtly changed the melody. And his own way of singing too, now it was starting to sound sincere. It got slightly sadder and in the lyrics he admitted he didn't believe what he had sung until that moment. That he never understood those songs, but that he always hoped that one day he would. And then he met “you”. He was singing in second person. The song talked about how the two of "you" had started off on the wrong foot, but that didn't stop "you" two from overcoming it. That didn't stop "you" from seeing something worthy in him, and from giving him a second chance. And it ends on a note of hope despite the uncertainty.
When he finished, the princess and some of the guards were crying emotionally. She starts to say how beautiful that song was, and he turns back to her, as if he had woken up, as if while he was playing he had forgotten what was around him. But he quickly regained his composure, and he went back to his act.
And one of the guards notices this. The guard who is in love with the princess. And he accuses Azul that that song wasn't for the princess. She starts to defend Azul, and this almost makes the guard take back what he said. But he said that Azul should prove it by saying some of those words looking directly into the princess's eyes. You, because you know him, noticed that Azul was slightly apprehensive, but accepted with a charismatic smile.
He went in front of the princess, took her hands, looked into her eyes and said one or two of the phrases from the song. And the tone was completely different from what he sang. Proving that music really wasn't for her. Shocked, she slapped Azul. But... he was still able to move.
Everyone gasps, including the princess. When the guards ask what's going on, the princess says it can only mean one thing. The thing is that her slap is capable of petrifying anyone, except those who have already found their true love. The reaction from all NRC students is like "What the F-?!" And Azul’s reaction was blushing, as if he had been caught.
The princess became even more depressed about that. His song was actually true, but it was for someone else. She starts to feel sorry for herself and that's when the guard starts to consulate her. Saying that she also has someone who feels that way about her: Him. And that whole ending of the princess realizing that she loved him too happens, they get married and happily ever after.
After everything and while the first-years were getting ready to tidy up and clean the cafeteria, you asked Azul to wait a bit. You leave the room so you can talk alone. You tell him that song was very beautiful and ask him who it was for. After all, that slap thing revealed that it was true and for someone. He blushes a little and acts like he's admitting something, reluctantly.
“I know I made the song more ambiguous so the princess would think I was singing about her, but I know you are more insightful than this.” You wonder out loud if he was singing about money or Mostro Lounge. “Wha-?! Who do you take me for?” He wasn't acting offended, he genuinely seemed a little offended. “Do you really think I would love money as much as I love you?” and then, realizing what he had just said, he shuts up. And blushes even more. “N-No, w-wait, I...”
You laugh. He says, extremely embarrassed: “I just saved you, don't laugh at me like that!” You explain that you're not laughing at him, but more at the situation. You say that the way he spoke, in the heat of the moment, only revealed how truthful he was. And it was cute that he declared himself like that.
If you also tell him that you feel the same way about him, how you loved the song, eventually you will have to prove it with a kiss.
If you would like to read more from me, you can find it in my pinned post: INDEX

Psychic Patch anon here! So glad you enjoyed that idea <3 love putting Op in situations
But as a bonus I could see that debacle being a good entry point into the obsessed megop back-and-forth. Might as well make use of what little info they did get out of Optimus's processor, 1: That you're extremely important to him and 2: Your address.
Thus begins the weekly kidnappings because you're one hell of a useful hostage, but also because Megatron has some curiosities of his own. How could you, a human, possibly be so alluring as to have a Prime at your beck and call? It makes the growth of his own infatuation a bit terrifying, he saw with his own optics what you did to Optimus's mind and can feel himself slipping down that path.
It also factors into his desire to have you as his queen, his second in command. He has some twisted respect for your "powers". After all you must be incredibly cunning and ruthless to claw your way so deeply into his spark even while he was aware of your tricks. (Little does he know there are no tricks, you're just catnip to powerful enough Cybertonians)
Our minds were totally on the same wavelength because I thought of the exact same thing! Thanks for sharing this idea <3
It’s not so easy to impress Megatron, and he doesn’t hand out his respect to just anyone. Even less so can I imagine him respecting some pathetic, miserable human... unless that human somehow managed to charm their way into and settle firmly within the very spark of Optimus Prime.
He wants to see how you pulled it off. To conduct research on a species that, until now, mattered to him as much as an empty energon container, and to use the knowledge he gains for his nefarious™ purposes. But also to talk, this time to peer into your primitive mind and extract the information he needs. To get to know you from the inside, but not destroy you — because you’re far too valuable.
I think he’d spend long sessions just staring at you while you sit on his lap. Studying your reflexes, waiting for you to uncover the true potential of your abilities, and verbally prying information out of you.
Megatron is convinced that your relationship will only ever be a one-sided transaction. He’ll squeeze everything he wants out of you and then eliminate you once he grows bored. But then you get “rescued” by the Autobots. And that’s when the real game begins — the back-and-forth of both factions fighting over you. Giving obsession time to spread through every inch of Megatron’s being.
Over time, he realizes he’s not taking you back to study your tricks. He’s taking you back for you.
Is he furious that he let himself be beguiled by a human? Probably. But the fury that burns within when he sees you in Optimus’ servos is far, far greater and hazardous...
jdbd the comparison to catnip is so spot on — not just because it’s ha ha funny, but also because of how easily you intoxicate the bots you spend time with and how dangerously quickly they become addicted to you <3

Random QL Superlatives: 2024 Edition
My friends! It is time once again to reflect back on the year and give out some random ass awards to the things that gave me joy in the many QLs I watched.
In no particular order, this year’s winners:
Best Long Term Glow Up: Off Jumpol as Jane in The Trainee
I've been simping for Jumpol since the Puppy Honey days, because I know potential when I see it! This year the rest of y'all finally caught up with me and realized this man is aging like a fine wine. We all won!
Most Valuable Prop: Aoyanagi Hajime Standee, I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama
Will anything ever make me laugh as hard as Akafuji opening the door to Aoyanagi Hajime while holding an Aoyanagi Hajime standee and then running for his life, standee tucked under his arm, to escape the mortification? If so, it's def another joke from this show.
Best Heart Destroying Angst: Every Moment of Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo
Sometimes you just want a show to break your heart into a million tiny pieces and then stitch it back together, and there is no better version of that experience this year than this beautiful show.
Wackiest Premise That Somehow Works: Caged Again
Whomst could have predicted that a BL about a penguin who turns into a human, goes to high school, and falls in love with a panther would be one of the sweetest, most compelling stories of the year.
Most Precious Bean: Taishin, Takara's Treasure
Just look at his cute little face!! My son has never done anything wrong in his life. He's adorable and I won't hear a word against him.
Drama Child of the Year: Young San, Century of Love
My soul fully tried to leave my body every time this child appeared on screen. I must congratulate this child actor--his name is Chayanan Akkharadumrongdet--on perfectly embodying the spirit of an old man trapped in a tiny body. Give this boy an award!
Best Love Theme: Di Inakala by Paul Pablo, Marahuyo Project
youtube
Such a gorgeous song, first used while King reads Ino's letter and realizes Ino has feelings for him. Hits me right in the chest every time I hear it.
Best Sex Scene - Almond and Latte's first time, Knock Knock Boys
Everyone else can throw in the towel, this is the best depiction of a loving but awkward first time that will ever be committed to film.
Star of My Vision Board: Yako, She Loves to Cook and She Loves to Eat
Oprah said it best: “She is the mother I never had, she is the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don't know a better person.”
Outstanding Achievement in Old Man Yaoi: Mr. Mitsuya's Planned Feeding
It's not every day that a show manages to sell you on a 20+ year age gap, but this one did it without breaking a sweat and had us all rooting for Ishida to eat that old man up with a spoon.
Best Sight Gag: Rock Lifting Karan Over His Shoulder, Cherry Magic Thailand
Is it the way Rock bends down and grabs him with no warning? The way Karan still does a polite wai over his shoulder? The way Dujdao scurries after them? Idk but it's been 10 months and I am still laughing.
Best Absolute Mindfuck: Love for Love's Sake
Sometimes a scene from this drama will flash through my mind and I'll have to spend a few minutes just staring at the wall, and that's how you know it was damn good.
Most Brainrot Inducing: Unknown
The way this story had a chokehold on my brain for three entire months was no joke.
Swooniest Love Interest: Mahasamut, Love Sea
Just look at this glorious man! And on top of all that visual splendor, he's kind and generous and brave and smart and competent and high key a smart ass. In this house we love Mahasamut!
Best Classic Watch: The Miracle of Teddy Bear
The most delightfully surprising watch of the year for me, and a great reminder to never, ever trust anything MDL commenters say about a show.
Y'all know the drill: feel free to join in and post your own superlatives, and please tag me if you do!

i had a really random idea that activated a neuron in my head and wanted to share here if that's ok— neglected!reader and friend!reader crossover. increased angst potentials, increased relationship struggles.
idk if it's just me, but the cold knowledge and sudden realization that your family was only ever interacting with you to use you as a means of getting close to their original target (who i will be assuming is a friend of yours)? you should be feeling glad that they're finally, *finally* interacting with you, but it just makes you feel more sick. they talk to you, but never want to talk about *you,* if that makes sense, always their target. half-hearted attempts to try and be more discreet, but you can tell they really just want to probe out info about your friend from you. perhaps this even cements your belief that "oh. they're never going to care for me the way i used to care for them."?? im sick i will explode and become atoms for this hypothetical reader's sake. leaving them, and the family realization that in their own selfish goals, they lost something more valuable. only makes sense for them to get it back.
but perhaps it can also be them originally them trying to again, use you as a bridge between said target, only to become more obsessed with you somewhere down the line of continuous interactions. idk lots of thoughts here i am happy big and mentally normal about these giant group of costumed losers !!
I am in love with this idea... especially because you can do it both ways (with the reader either being a part of the fam, or just a 'friend' of one of the Batfam members that they kinda forgot about until now)!
I'll go into Acquaintance! Reader later, so for now I'll focus more on this other neglected sib reader :]
Can you imagine how absolutely heartbreaking finding out that they're just talking with you to get something out of you, at first? Like, okay, maybe reader is suspicious at first, of course, because why the hell is the family starting to acknowledge their existence now? Was it something they did? Something that caught the family's attention? Etc., etc., but the point is that maybe with a little effort and too little time, they begin to have a little hope. They began to think that the family actually cares about them now.
Like yeah, sure, they kind of dismiss their questions when the reader tries to bring up the changes and why things couldn't be like this before, and have an odd habit of giving short answers and moving onto other topics concerning their friend when the reader, again, tries to press even a little bit more for answers or responses, but that's just how it is, right?
It's nothing personal... the reader knows that, and even if it hurts sometimes, it's nothing to worry about, right? Besides, they wanted this... didn't they? They wanted to be noticed, to finally have the family's attention, to have something and they're finally getting that! They should be happy, grateful even... and they are! But... is it so selfish to want more? To want the family and some of their siblings to even be a little interested in the things they do? Instead of just asking about their friend all the time?
Maybe the reader even gets a little jealous, envious, even, as this goes on but I can see them being content with little. Ultimately a little scared to ruin a good thing, and to ruin this for themselves... even if it definitely doesn't feel as good as they had hoped it would be oh so long ago.
... And then, they figure out the truth. Either from overhearing some members of the family talking about it, other friend of theirs points it out/puts that idea into their head, or they just... notice it. Hell, all three of those things could happen - with the reader knowing on some subconscious level that things aren't as they seem and that the family is definitely trying to get something out of them (a thought they had at first, that didn't fully go away), and another friend of theirs (that the fam isn't going crazy over) sort of points out that it looks like the batfam is just using them to get to whoever (and maybe the reader dismisses it at first, but that moment only further plants that idea into their head), and the reader keeps noticing all of these little things from that moment and onward... only for everything to come crumbling down once they finally overhear that conversation.
Once they hear some of the members discussing what they should ask the reader, how they should go about it, and hell - maybe for the irony of it all, maybe even joking about the reader finding out about their little 'ploy'. Even going so far as to laugh and say how the reader will never find out because they're too stupid, too desperate to even really entertain the idea to its fullest. How even if they do think so... well, they can just string poor little reader along and distinguish the idea before it even becomes a problem. How they could use that to just further rope the reader in, and make them feel guilty until they forget all about the very idea of the family just using them... further securing themselves to be one of - if not the only - closest people to the reader, and therefore, much closer to their fixation.
It's... more than just heartbreaking for the reader, but not quite world shattering either. It's some odd in between feeling that hurts all the same. They knew, sure, and they always had the suspicion- but it fucking hurts.
Somehow, knowing hurts more in that moment - just the reader knowing and having their suspicions confirmed hurts worse than anything they've ever felt. It doesn't quite feel like betrayal, or maybe it does - they aren't sure, but at the same time that description doesn't feel quite right. Though that's because they feel partially at fault. Like they did this to themselves, and they do feel guilty, but for only putting themself through this.
They should've known better. They should've listened to their gut. They should've never let this happen- they are at fault as much as the family is...
But can they fully blame themself? They got a glimpse of what it was like to be part of the family. A glimpse into the life they always wanted... could they really blame themself for taking that chance when they saw it? For trying to seize that opportunity even if it was never really there? Could they blame themselves for trying to look past all the signs, because they too wanted something out of it? Because they just wanted to be part of the family that badly, even if it was all a lie?
It hurts, and the reader leaves quietly. They don't burst into the room and confront everyone - no, they just walk away. Too consumed in their own grief and feelings to do much else besides that. I imagine that they don't even make it to their room, and hell, maybe one of the other Batfam members find them, but just looking at them makes the reader cry harder.
If they literally run away from the person, or not, is really up to interpretation at the moment, but either way they manage to find some alone time to themselves, and just... let it all out. The reader, in that moment, allows themself to grieve over the lose of a family they never had, and after all is said and done, I can imagine that they try to distance themselves- but are smart in how they do so.
The reader tries to get the family closer to their friend, while also limiting the amount of the the reader is actually around both the friend and the family. Basically just trying to put everyone in a position where they don't need a middleman - where the reader doesn't have to be involved anymore, and basically just... giving the reader an opportunity to truly distance themself from the family.
Sure, the reader might still try to hang out with the family's current fixation, but I can see them be willing to sacrifice time with that person just to further get away. It hurts to do it, and they don't want to, but they figure that, with enough time, once the family chills the fuck out, they'll hopefully be able to sort of go back to how things were. If not? Then... well, they'll just have to learn how to live with that, and they hope that their friend can forgive them.
Don't get me wrong, I could totally see the reader trying to find ways to get their friend out of the position, but the batfam is one tricky foe.. so they settle for what they can, but maybe they're still trying to do what they can. (Or maybe they think that this is the best course of action since... well, maybe they overheard some other talks afterwards? Who knows)
It could also be that, through the reader's attempt to leave, and them trying to eliminate themself from the equation entirely could be a huge turning point for the Batfam in terms of them turning yandere (aka, if they weren't yan before, they definitely are now. and those that are, are even worse than before). A real "you don't know what you had until it's gone" kinda deal, and it's gotta be hilarious to see the fam just scramble for something, and to kind of 'catch' the reader until they're truly gone... which, to add to the humor- the reader is probably already trying to move out of Gotham by that time LMAO

The Long Shadow of Action
Actions has consequences. What if Eddie didn’t just kick Buck out of his house, he also removed his guardianship over Christopher because how can he trust someone who let Bobby die to protect his son? (He doesn't realized how his actions would have long term consequences to everyone involved.)
WIP to this idea
Buck was at the HQ trying to cancel his transfer request with the HR department when one of the secretaries told him that Chief Simpson requested a meeting with him. Was he in trouble? Was this about leading the military on a wild goose chase using stolen government and municipal properties?
Buck frantically tries to figure out a way to absolve everyone in that incident (Tommy doesn’t deserve a suspension just because Buck begged him for help) when Chief Simpson finally spoke, slapping down a thick pile of files in front of them.
“These are the offers I got just this week from over half the captains in the district, all fighting to have the first pick on you. I know for a fact that with your current certifications, you are overqualified to be in 118, especially without having a proper partner.”
Buck, floored by the files, could only listen as Chief Simpson continued. “And with your success training firefighter Panikkar with your high standard, even the Academy had approached with an offer for you to train future heavy rescue operators. Even the fire marshal department had made an offer after your short stint with them, where your analytical approach in enforcing safety standards puts you down as one of our best fire marshals. The point is, firefighter Buckley, you have the potential to rise high, and I hope you will take the chance to do it.”
“I don’t know what to say, Sir. Surely my record with the LAFD… I sued LAFD once!”
“Firefighter Buckley, I think we all can agree you have just cause for that lawsuit. And the fact that you turned down the settlement offer and only requested to be allowed back to work with LAFD speaks well of your dedication to the calling. And the achievements you've garnered throughout the years only show how valuable an asset you are for LAFD.”
Noticing Buck’s indecisive looks, his voice gentled. “I think Captain Nash would agree with me, we were in talks before he passed away, on the possibility of you being trained to be a captain. He was thinking about retiring in a few years and hoped that you would be his replacement.”
“Bo - Captain Nash did?” Buck blinks, not sure what to say. “Erm, can I-can I think about it? And get back to you in a few days?”
The Chief nods. “Of course. I truly hope you give this serious consideration, firefighter Buckley. This is a good opportunity for you.”
Buck needed space and some time to think about the offers.
And yet, coming home to Eddie packing up his things haphazardly into boxes was the last thing he expected to see.
“What are you doing?” Buck froze by the front door, staring in increasing horror as he took in the stacks of boxes waiting for him in the hallway.
“Hey, Buck!” Eddie still struggled to wrestle one of the boxes, not noticing Buck’s furious look. “Chris and I are moving back to LA, so I’m gonna need my house back by this Friday because our stuff will be here by then.”
“But I’m subletting,” Buck said. “Where am I supposed to go?” Buck tried to hold onto his temper. This is his house now; he has a contract and everything.
“You’ll figure it out.” Eddie waved his hand vaguely. “You can sleep on the couch if you need it.”

After the Strawhat crew saved your poor country from its terrible leader, you were unexpectedly welcomed aboard as a new addition to the crew.
Despite your lack of devil fruit powers, Luffy saw potential in you and believed that your unique skills and determination would make you a valuable member of the crew. He admired your bravery during the fight and knew that together, you could accomplish even greater things.
He also might have gotten some persuading from a certain cook.
"Cheers to our new nakama, Y/N!" Luffy exclaimed, raising his cup in a toast.
"Cheers!" the crew chorused in unison, their cups clinking together. Each member of the Strawhat crew expressed their excitement for having you on board, promising to support and protect you as one of their own.
From Nami's approving nod to Zoro's subtle smirk, it was clear that you had earned their trust and had become an integral part of their pirate family.
As the celebration continued, you looked around the room and realized that the cook was nowhere to be found. Curiosity piqued, you excused yourself from the crew and made your way to the kitchen, where you found Sanji preparing a feast fit for a king.
You admired Sanji's culinary skills for a while, marveling at how effortlessly he would slice through vegetables and handle the sizzling oil without hesitation. As you watched him prepare the feast, you couldn't help but be in awe of his culinary prowess.
It was no wonder that he was known as the "Black Leg" and hailed as one of the greatest chefs on the Grand Line.
You decided to slip away quietly, not wanting to interrupt Sanji's cooking or draw attention to yourself.
Finding a peaceful spot on the ship, you took a moment to reflect on the incredible turn of events that led you to become a member of the Strawhat crew.
The memories of your past struggles and the newfound sense of belonging filled your heart with gratitude and determination for the adventures that lay ahead.

It was hard to believe that just a few days ago, you were living in a country oppressed by an unjust ruler. The people had been stripped of their wealth, forced to give all of their money as a gift to the ruler on the 10th anniversary of their reign.
You were once a part of an orphanage that suffered greatly under the ruler's oppressive regime. The orphanage struggled to provide basic necessities for the children, and you witnessed firsthand the hardships faced by the people.
As one of the oldest children in the orphanage, you were burdened with responsibilities beyond your years. From the age of 10, you were expected to take care of the younger children, ensuring they were fed, clothed, and safe. It was a heavy weight to bear, but it taught you resilience and compassion at a young age.
You often found yourself questioning the quality and safety of the food made from the meager rations provided by the adults. However, you had no other choice but to eat it yourself and feed it to the younger children, hoping it would sustain them.
Surviving each day became a delicate balance between fulfilling your responsibilities and ensuring everyone's survival.
But one day, the Straw Hat crew, led by the fearless Monkey D. Luffy, arrived in the country with a mission to liberate the oppressed people. With their extraordinary abilities and unwavering determination, they fought against the unjust ruler and his forces, bringing hope and freedom to the once-struggling nation.
As they defeated the ruler and his regime, the people rejoiced, and a new era of peace and prosperity began to unfold.
Everyone thought it was the right decision for you to go with them. . .

"Y/N?" A voice called you from behind, belonging to Nami.
You turned around to face Nami, a wide smile spreading across your face. "Yes, Nami?" you replied, gratitude filling your voice.
"Sanji said that the food is ready," Nami informed you, her eyes sparkling with excitement. The aroma of the freshly cooked meal wafted through the air, a stark contrast to the meager rations you were accustomed to.
Your stomach growled in response to Nami's news, reminding you of the constant hunger you had endured in the orphanage. The thought of a properly cooked meal filled with nourishment made your mouth water.
As you followed Nami into the kitchen, you noticed that everyone was there, engaged in lively conversation, yet no one touched their food. It seemed as if they were waiting for someone, and curiosity piqued within you.
"Finally! There you are, Y/N!" Luffy exclaimed, his mouth drooling as he resisted from touching the meat in front of him.
You sat beside Nami, a sense of guilt washing over you as you apologized for being gone for so long.
"Now Y/N-san, why don't you taste the food first?" Sanji asked from the kitchen, prepping the last pieces of dessert.
You hesitated for a moment, unsure of whether you deserved to be the first one to taste the food.
Usually you were the last unless you had to taste if it was edible or not.
Everyone looked at you as you scooped a spoonful of one of the dishes, but you paused. The memory of the starving children back in the orphanage flashed in your mind, and you couldn't help but feel that they deserved this meal more than you did.
"It's alright," Sanji's voice said as he was now behind you, his warm hand resting on your shoulder.
It was as if he could read your mind and understand the guilt that was consuming you.
You nodded before placing the spoon inside your mouth and swallowing it. The flavors exploded on your taste buds, a symphony of perfectly balanced spices and textures.
It was a moment of pure bliss, and as you savored each bite, you couldn't help but feel grateful that you were able to experience such a meal after years of deprivation.
The taste of the food was so exquisite that you couldn't help but let out a little dance, your body moving to the rhythm of the flavors. It was as if the nourishment had not only satisfied your hunger but also awakened a dormant joy within you.
As you twirled and swayed, the room erupted in laughter and applause, everyone delighting in your infectious happiness.
"Y/N is doing a happy dance!" Luffy exclaimed, laughing.
The meal had not only filled your stomach but also filled your soul with a newfound appreciation for the simple joys of life.
With the biggest smile on your face, you turned to Sanji, gratitude shining in your eyes, and whispered, "Thank you, Sanji. This meal is beyond anything I could have imagined."
Sanji's cheeks went from a light tint of pink to his whole face being red, dropping his cigarette in the process. He couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and happiness at seeing you enjoy his food so much.
It was moments like these that reminded him why he loved cooking and why he put so much passion into every dish.
"I'm glad that you like it Y/N-san," Sanji answered, his eyes filled with pure love. Shyly, he added, "I put my heart and soul into creating this meal, and seeing you enjoy it brings me immeasurable joy."
You smiled in return, completely unaware of the effect you had on Sanji. The genuine happiness that radiated from you was enough to make his heart skip a beat, and he couldn't help but feel a newfound sense of purpose in his culinary endeavors.
Though it didn't go unnoticed.
"Looks like Love Cook can get shy around women," Zoro teased.
Sanji's face turned even redder as Zoro's teasing words reached his ears.
"Shut up, Mosshead!" Sanji fired back, trying to hide his embarrassment. But deep down, he couldn't deny that there was some truth to Zoro's words.
Your presence had ignited a spark within him, and he couldn't wait to continue creating culinary masterpieces that would bring joy to your heart. . . .

I'm going to repost the thread I made on BlueSky here under a read more, and people can send me asks about it (I will temporarily turn Anon back on, but if I get that same spammer again then I will turn Anon off again)
TFA Arranged Marriage AU - Sold for Temporary Peace
--
For a background, the Decepticons were able to gets their hands on the access codes for the Omega Sentinels during the war. Not from Ratchet or Arcee, but a different bot. They reversed engineered the codes and made their own Sentinels. So the war is now at a stalemate instead of an end.
For millions of years the battles continued and more Autobots got pulled into Boot Camp and the Elite Guard - Draft Dodgers were being rounded up and made to serve in some fashion. Prowl may have avoided being pulled into the war temporarily, but soon he would be pulled from Yoketron's school, but Prowl's story is for another day.
Instead we focus our attention on the Academy where a trio of bots snuck away to an Organic Planet, but only two returned. Sentinel thought they could get some valuable intel or even weaknesses on the Decepticons from that ship. Elita-1 also thought the same thing, while Optimus thought this was a bad idea. So when Optimus and Sentinel were the only ones to return, Optimus took the blame on his shoulders. But things go in a different direction as the war, which has been at a stalemate, suddenly takes a turn.
Suddenly the Decepticons have started to push forward and taken more territory from the Autobots, and Ultra Magnus realizes that at any moment Megatron could march onto Cybertron and take it for himself. What they need is a way to delay Megatron. They need to buy themselves time.
And then Ultra Magnus gets an idea. Instead of having Optimus expelled from the Academy, at least on record, he instead has Optimus given the rank of Prime and forged some paperwork to make it seem like he has led countless victorious battles against the Decepticons. Just enough to hopefully catch Megatron's attention, all so Ultra Magnus can make a proposal that will hopefully buy them some time. As he knows Megatron can and will take whatever he believes to be a valuable asset, or destroy it to stop it from being used by Autobots.
Once that is done and the details are leaked to the Decepticons, Ultra Magnus gives Megatron an offer. Temporarily cease his conquest in exchange for this extremely valuable Prime to take to use for whatever he desires. Even have him as a consort if he so desires.
Of course Megatron is suspicious at first, until he sees the real academic records from this Prime that's being offered to him. Even if the dates were fudged to make it seem like Optimus graduated a long time ago, he still recognizes talent where he sees it and agrees to the temporary ceasefire.
Ultra tells Optimus that he is to do everything he can to get close enough to Megatron to then put an end to him. Without Megatron at the head, the Decepticons should scatter and be easier to take down. He also says this is the only way Optimus can make up for what he did on Archa-7, and it is also the only way for Optimus to truly earn the title of "Prime" - and yet, Megatron is laughing internally during the negotiations because he sees it as Ultra Magnus throwing away a potentially valuable asset. So he might as well do what he can to convince Optimus of the truth.
That to Ultra Magnus and the Autobots, he is disposable. Someone who is sent to fulfill only one purpose and then be discarded the moment he is no longer useful. He hopes that with the help of this new asset, he can properly take Cybertron for himself and his Decepticons.
From there it is only a matter of time until the Decepticons return to their offensive and finally take Cybertron, and that is with the help of their lord's consort.

So I just saw The Materialists...

Not gonna lie, it wasn't really what I was expecting, but it had its good moments. And of course, Pedro Pascal was swoon worthy as Harry Castillo. I just wanted to wrap him up and be his little spoon 💓 (or his big spoon. I'm not picky)
Chris Evans was also adorably scruffy lol
*some spoilers and thoughts below the cut*
It was all very well acted by everyone. What bothered me was the story itself and Lucy as the MC. Pedro's Harry Castillo deserved better imo. He tugged at my heart more than John to be honest. 😢
I wouldn't classify it as a rom-com either. There isn't much comedy tbh. I would say it's a romantic drama. It is very grounded and "real." The industry of matchmaking, making commodities out of people, was really interesting--just as the potential dangers there were heartbreaking.
But I think I just can't really relate to/connect with Lucy as a character. I appreciate that she's flawed, and that she learns a "valuable" lesson about love vs. materialism, but she's kind of hard to root for overall. She admits it herself: she's "not a good person." She's judgmental, she's cold (at least in her romantic relationships).
I could get past these things, if I felt more of a struggle of attraction and connection between her and Harry vs. the pull of what's comfortable between her and John. But it doesn't seem like she even tries to get to know Harry for who he is after she agrees to seriously date him. It feels like she's unintentionally using both men at the same time for different things -- Harry for the lifestyle she wants, and John for the emotional comfort she needs, all while not truly investing of herself in either one.
Idk, it's just hard for me to relate to a main character in a romance when I can't feel the yearning of a love story, even if the MC is reluctant to be in love.
Lucy does have a "realization"/some form of character development by the end, but on the whole it felt more like she was using Harry more than trying to have a real relationship with him. The best thing she could've done for him was what she ultimately did - set him free.
And with Lucy and John, while I did get that sense of true caring and the "best friend" bond in your ex-partner, it's one of the few times where I wonder if this couple would actually make it past a few more months of struggle after the end of the movie lol.
All in all, I wanted to love this movie, but the conflict vs. desire vs. romantic pull wasn't strong enough for me. 🥲

Is it though? 😭 (I agree with Harry)

Break Down Build Up
König is such a little shit. I love him, but monster hybrid!König is a beast to wrangle in, even as a writer! I never know how to get him to sit still. At least Handler finally found a way to get him to stay put long enough to help him moult!
Tws: None

Art from This Post
Story Below the Cut
Break Down Build Up
You’d never had too many thoughts about how important May was to you. Sure, there were some special days, but it wasn’t that valuable. It was just another month in the year, after all. How could May be of any great importance?
That was what you tended to think up until König came along. Since becoming König’s handler, May had quickly become your least favorite month of the year.
“Sit still!” you grumbled, trying to balance yourself in the middle of König’s great black wing without tugging on his feathers, “you’ve got a couple of pin feathers here that are ready to come in.”
König whined and shuffled uncomfortably. You tried to avoid gripping his feathers as you were jostled side to side.
“You don’t want me tugging on your feathers, do you?” you snapped as you managed to catch your balance again.
“Boring,” König croaked.
“Boring?” you rolled your eyes, “yeah of course it’s boring. It’s not like I’m having a fun time here either.”
“Boring,” König repeated.
The monster rolled you off his wings with a disgruntled caw.
You faceplanted onto the foam floor, rolling into a full somersault before sprawling akimbo on the floor. With a grunt, you managed to scrabble to your feet and gather your bearings. You glared at König, who seemed to be more than happy to take things into his own claws by flipping onto his back and rolling side to side. Today was May fifth. You had a whole month of this. You didn’t know what you were doing with yourself. You thanked the heavens again that your superiors wouldn’t be seeing you floundering with König. You had a couple of months until König was set to be deployed, at least.
As you watched König squirm like a mirthful puppy on the matts, you couldn’t help but wonder again how this was KorTac’s prized war machine. How did they manage to keep him still enough to listen to a command? Better yet, how did they manage to wrangle him into following a command!? You were completely beside yourself by this point. You couldn’t even manage to get König to so much as sit still to be preened.
Your hands fell to your sides as you tried to understand what you were doing wrong. König obliviously wormed across the floor, leaving a trail of white keratin in his wake. You’d have to mop that up when König was finished. Well, considering what sort of diseases he carried you’d have to scrub the gym anyways. It was your responsibility to mitigate the amount of potential contaminants that could be transmitted to other soldiers. You’d signed up for this, quite literally. You still wished you could burn the place down rather than have to try and clean it.
König skittered off to rub against a tall pillar to try and rid himself of the unholy itch that was surely driving him wild.
“If you just let me help…” you muttered under your breath as you strode over to him.
König swatted you away with his tail.
“Excuse me!?” you scoffed as you stumbled back, “did you just push me?”
“Must move,” König cawed, “moving helps.”
You sighed and relented. There wasn’t much you could do, was there? How were you supposed to get something the length of one and a half school busses to sit still? If König wanted to move, there was nothing you could do to get him to rest.
Or… Maybe you could…
Your eyes snapped open as realization dawned on you.
“Hey König?” you called to the big shifter.
König stopped rubbing his back against the pillar to look at you.
“Can you stay right here? I just need to get something from the back.”
König cawed and went back to rubbing his back. Well, if that kept him occupied, so be it.
You left König to his own devices with a little nod. As you rushed down the halls, you just hoped he’d stay put long enough for you to go and grab some puzzles you found from the common room.
When you’d managed to grab a couple and head back to the gym, König was back to wriggling to and fro on his back. You whistled and bounded over to him.
“König!” you held up a couple of puzzles, “I found something for you to do!”
König rolled onto his front to get a better look at you. He glanced between the boxes and cawed. He slithered to your side before letting himself drop flat onto his belly. He lay his head down on the ground and glanced up at you like a moping hound dog.
“Okay, so, how long do you think it’ll take you to finish these puzzles?” you asked as you put the jigsaw puzzles on the ground in front of him.
“Small,” he grumbled, “hard work.”
“So you think at least half an hour?” you asked hopefully.
“Longer,” König huffed, “small.”
You grinned to yourself as König spread out his wings to let you on. It seemed you finally had a way to keep König occupied.

can i request riize second chance romance if that makes sense:’)
(ur work is amazing pls continie keeping us happy^^)
i love groveling men too it’s ok anon 😗
RIIZE SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE ~ based on their birth charts

reminder this is just based off of my opinion after looking at their birth charts and what I think would happen from my own observations these things are not exact fact unless they said it themselves !
Shotaro
SO MUCH ANGST OOOH MY GOF. Would be the most mature on the outside but on the inside he’d be ☹️☹️☹️. “I don’t even care about what she’s doing” [checked your instagram and other socials to see if you’re grieving as well or seeing someone new] He wouldn’t necessarily go out dating looking for a rebound he’d focus on his craft in all honesty and might even seclude himself a little bit. I see him taking a break with his s/o instead of just flatline breaking up and once he feels like he has emotionally healed as far as he can he’d return and it would be pretty serious like in a private closed space he’d want to talk everything out and NEEEDS you to be honest abt everything but he’d just want you guys back together and for both of you to be happy.
Eunseok
(I feel like Eunseok is aware that he could potentially fall victim to the “the one that got away” trope) but anyway. He’d be the biggest nonchalanter to ever nonchalant 😭 might even try to stay mutuals/cordial with you. Would date, see other people, have a mini roster and fwbs going on. But as soon as he realizes everyone else is boring him and wasting his oh so valuable time (And he hates. To waste his time.) he’d get so irritated at himself for letting go of such a good thing and would criticize criticIZE CRITICIZEE himself. Forces himself to not run from/internalize how he feels he’d reach out again, wouldn’t be the most sappy return ever he might even joke about what happened but he’d be as honest as he could ever be and would surprisingly admit where he fucked up.
Sungchan
His pride and the hurt he carried during the time apart would hold him back so badly. Would improve himself and boss up similar to Shotaro to show you what you were missing; try to find attention and praise elsewhere. But when he realizes you did the same thing and also became better in every way possible physically, mentally…and that people still have their eye on you like they did when he first met you..he’d cave. Would HAVE to shamefully put his hurt and pride aside. Cue his dramatic serious text at 11pm and him asking how you’re doing to see if the good things he’s heard about you were true (prays you say no when he asks if you’re seeing anyone) would ask you to meet him somewhere that was important to you two and nostalgic. Almost kills him to be wrong but has to accept it 😭
Wonbin
He’d be like “whatever” since he knows that so many girls want to be in your place, might even consider sliding back to that one ex. Would be torn between just letting things go back to normal but his stubborn stagnant attitude would leave him stuck in a victim state. But then once the pain slowlyyy seeps in and that what you two had was something genuine and you were one of few people that actually understood him and physically compatible with him then on the inside he’d lose it. Would have a wayyy more sappy lovey dovey way of coming back. Cue him using music in some way shape or form as his way of coming back. Would probably want to physically see you in a place that he’s most comfortable with.
Seunghan
So so sassy. Honestly he’d walk away pretty fast but would miss you pretty fast right after. He’d hesitate but only because he knows that he probably got a little mean when you two split and that you might not even want to talk to him. Tries to go dating around but wakes up and gets it together once he sees/hears that you’re talking to someone new (10 extra points if it’s someone he doesn’t like or thinks isn’t even close to how attractive he is ) . Tries to be cool about it but is hurting inside, would ask everyone for advice. The emotional side would take over and he’d just have to listen to how he feels and think later. His way of coming back is essentially him outdoing whoever has you on their sights or him showing you the epitome of affection. He’d have to force his virgo mercury to work and speak UP and apologize.
Sohee
Would seem pretty ok and normal compared to everyone else similarly to Eunseok. Talks about you but wants to jump someone if THEY try to talk about you. (“can’t believe she’d do this” “yea she’s crazy asf” “Don’t say that 🫤.” ). (Cue him singing “When I was your man” by Bruno Mars 😭). He wouldn’t want to constrict and limit himself or you after the breakup so he’d also try to date/talk to other people. Has to give in and accept that thinking about you while hanging out with someone else is a CLEAR indicator that he needs to get off his high horse and return. He’d probably word vomit about how he feels about everything and apologize but also goes on this passive lecture on how you two shouldn’t allow each others feelings to rip you two apart like that again and the principle of it all.
Anton
Word vomit pt.2. Could go two ways. Way one if the breakup was on good terms/mutual after the breakup he’d probably remain friends or still be in contact with you, then once he realizes he can’t just move on at the snap of his fingers and realizes that every person he’s with has resemblance to you whether it’s physical/personality he’d impulsively talk to you and get right back if he can. If it was on bad terms it’d feel pretty cruel ngl like you’d feel like he kinda just disappeared and made his way elsewhere..but once he’s alone with his thoughts he’d have to realize the errors of his way or the faults on his side he’d IMPULSIVELY come forwards with how he feels, would probably ask you to dinner and have the conversation there and says everything that he has to.

i have thoughts on reid x dilaudid that i feel like i’ve never seen anyone talk about before so im gonna share
spoilers for s2 ofc and cw for discussions of substance abuse
something im thinking abt right now is that presumably reid was not psychologically or physically dependent on dilaudid yet by the time he was rescued from tobias hankel. of course he was incredibly traumatized and im not saying i wouldn’t anticipate wanting relief from that if i were him, but he could have gone without the drugs. he CHOSE to take the vials from tobias when he left. so if you think about it we didn’t even see the turning point into his addiction—he had to make the choice AGAIN to shoot up at some later point. he obviously knows the statistics abt addiction and the opioid crisis. but we know he really was addicted eventually. so after tobias, he got home and looked at those vials and made that choice to shoot up again, fully aware of what he was doing and all the implications and potential consequences but he was just in that much pain.
like it makes me so so sad to think about how smart he is and how his vast intellect was not enough to stop him at any point in the pursuit of getting high and he was contending with that the whole time, aware that he should be “too smart” for what he’s doing. like he had to procure syringes, he had to consider what he was potentially sacrificing, all while he was completely lucid, and he still made a fully conscious decision that it was more valuable to get high.
or maybe he convinced himself he was just going to use them to wean himself off because it would take a major toll on your body to receive all those drugs in such a short time frame. maybe he thought he could slowly detox. which might be even sadder. or maybe he was lying to himself the whole time and knew he just wanted to give himself permission to get high again. idk.
regardless it’s really really sad to think about how much effort he had to put into doing something he knew was terrible for him and how he chose it again and again because that’s how much he was hurting. like that scene of him holding the bottles and looking in the mirror at work hits a lot harder when you realize his addiction was not something just happened to him. he can’t entirely shirk the blame. i can’t even imagine how much self loathing he would have had going on at that time
(also i am fully aware that addiction is an illness and in many regards not a choice at all, but im saying its not likely he was actually clinically diagnostically addicted to dilaudid by the time he was freed. in that sense, he did make choices which contributed to his addiction, and he had to live with that, which i think is really highlighted by him looking in the mirror like what the fuck have i done to myself)
anyways im so sad now😂😂😂😂!!!!!! this is one of my favorite plot lines it was done so dirty!!

It's actually crazy how I keep getting more and more convinced Yuuji and Sukuna are in love, when I first started shipping them I just thought their hatred for each other was interesting and could potentially lead to love but I figured I'd have to stick to fanfictions for that, but Gege just keeps making their relationship more and more sus?
This week alone with the Wasuke as the twin reveal (which might not change the actually plot but it definitely changes my reading of the story by a lot) and then dropping the Sukuita dance art, where they're holding hands while Yuuji looks so overjoyed to be in his arms and Sukuna, the tsundere that he is, looks upset but continues to hold Yuuji close anyway AND the "abominable righteousness. a steadfast anchor for the soul" quote right next to them??? That's clearly meant to be Sukuna's true feelings about Yuuji since the other cards were all words spoken to Yuuji by Gojo, Nanami, and Choso respectively. But- I have no words, this is as close to canon Sukuita as I think Shounen Jump would ever allow lmfao.
This is the most unexpected ship of mine that's received so much canon content, I'd expect this from some of my more vanilla ships but Sukuita??? Insane.
Hi anon!
The effect of Sukuna and Yuuji is the more you pay attention to them, the more you'll grow to like them (and start shipping them). These two have an interesting relationship no matter how you look at it (or them in general). It's true that they're subtle but then, they're also extremely loud (what the fuck was Shinjuku arc even about like they've spent more time caressing each other than fighting) and it's true that, in the beginning, there was little content but good content nonetheless. If you ask me, it was extremely sus even back then because why was Sukuna so amused by Yuuji? Why was he out there making Binding Vows's not to hurt people (someone who enjoys killing, mind you) just to get control of his body? The same Sukuna who slices people to bits if they raise their head in his presence (what he did to Jogo and those girls)... ?? Just what.
But now that we've reached the end... we have enough content to last us a lifetime and convince us that these two are certainly not in a platonic relationship. I, too, found them interesting at the beginning (more about all of that in a different post! I have to answer one anon.) but wasn't expecting anything even if I realized, as we kept progressing further and further into the plot, just how valuable these two are to it and how tied in are to the entirety of the story. Sure, jjk has a lot of other characters, but Sukuna and Yuuji stole the show in the end and went out with a bang. Not only did Yuuji change the unchangable but Sukuna and him! Danced! This is even funnier when you know what the epilogue was trying to hint at which puts even more emphasis on how their relationship is clearly not one of enemies and neither of friends.
Gege always had something more to say when it comes to these two, which also adds to the whole "hey I do think these two are... definitely something". They won't add just a tiny piece of content, but would rather drop some mind-numbing, plot-changing lore about them. The fact that they first dropped the Wasuke and Sukuna sharing souls plot point and then dropped official art of them dancing is hilarious to me. Like it's always something big, something huge! Whenever it's something about these two, you know damn well it won't be insignificant and that Gege will deliver.
"abominable righteousness. a steadfast anchor for the soul" quote right next to them??? That's clearly meant to be Sukuna's true feelings about Yuuji since the other cards were all words spoken to Yuuji by Gojo, Nanami, and Choso respectively.
Oh, don't even get me started on that, anon. I already ranted my friends' ears off about how that quote is insane. Yuuji is somebody who Sukuna used to see as insignificant but now he's finally not stubborn enough to admit that yes... all that hate wasn't really hate. There's admiration there. There's "I'll always have you".
I mean, it's pretty clear to anyone who followed this manga that Sukuna doesn't really hate Yuuji. If he did, all of this wouldn't have happened and would've been different lmfao. What we did lack tho was his opinion on him. His actual, truthful opinion. Sukuna loves to lie after all and loves to pretend he doesn't care when in fact he does... very much so.
And yes, anon. This is as close to canon we can get. They're tied to each other, forever in love and Yuuji even promised his forever to him, to be there even if the world wouldn't accept him. That's fucking insane genuinely. It awfully sounds like a marriage proposal because saying that to someone you lowkey used to ignore and despise *checks notes* a couple of months ago is baffling. Why would you promise someone to walk by their side forever, even if the entire world is against them? Come on now. There's no platonic explanation for that.

can i put my tinfoil hat back on
i know everyone is very upset with the finale right now, i am too but i don't think it's the end of buddie
he didn't say that they were wrong or that buck isn't in love with eddie he just said that buck still isn't listening to them and doesn't believe that it's true. to me it doesn't seem like it happened for nothing but rather like it was a scene to introduce that idea to the general audience
and of course it's still very possible that the writing wasn't good and it actually meant nothing but i truly hope that's not the case. they brought it up several times, that usually doesn't mean that it's nothing
also something i've been wondering this whole time is if they're trying to restart what they were doing with buddie after s5 and s6 seemed to shut it down so strongly. their progression in s7 and s8 resemble s2 and s3 so much to me. in s2 eddie had just barely been introduced, buddie was a very new concept and did honestly start out seeming like a good friendship. as it progresses we can start to see the chemistry between them and the first shift we really start to see is 2x10 where the worker tells buck that they have an adorable son and he thanks her. the overall progression of buddie in season 2 remains pretty tame though for the most part.
then in season 3 we can start to see a real shift, especially with the tsunami situation. then there's the ''super gay'' kitchen scene(oliver starks opinion!) where you can really see that they have a different friendship than the others. there's more tension when they speak and theres several flirty scenes between the two. then in ep15 we see just how much the thought of losing eddie affected buck, him sobbing in bobby's arms and digging for eddie in the pouring rain really signals that buck loves him deeply and is terrified of the possibility of his death. that's where we start to feel a huge shift in their relationship but it's still kinda up in the air.
s4 continues on that path, they keep it pretty ambiguous with the same flirty undertones we've been seeing the past two seasons. then in the finale it seems like an obvious opening to their feelings realization, especially for buck when he's in the ambulance with eddie. and it was supposed to be!! they intended on going canon with buddie after that but fox said no (😒) and after that buddie basically seemed to get buried 6 feet under. new partners get introduced for both of them afterwards and we don't make much valuable progress.
5x6 has the scene where the prisoner threatens eddie & christopher and buck shows a very angry reaction, clearly upset by the thought of somebody hurting them. but he's with taylor throughout i think all of s5 and eddie is with ana for the first three episodes before they breakup and he proceeds to not really date anybody the rest of the season.
in s6 both buck and eddie meet potential partners. we have the lightning strike scene where eddie damn near loses it thinking he's about lose buck. he was also shot off the ladder with the strike but it was less severe and once he realizes the state buck is in he basically forgets everything that just happened to him in a panic to save buck. but even in s6 with the occasional flirting there isn't a lot of obvious signs that would tell the ga that they may be a possible couple. to me it's very important to focus on what they do for the ga because that's where they make things more obvious so nobody will act like they didn't see a plot coming. s6 ends with marisol and natalia and basically no hope for buddie.
then after s6 they switch to abc. there's obviously some differences with the show but for the most part most things are the same. buck and natalia break up and later on we get buck's coming out arc where he realizes he's bisexual. honestly i have no interest in speaking about tommy but unfortunately some of his scenes are important to this so.. i have no choice 😒 from the start eddie is very prominent in their relationship, from casual mentions of him to him just showing around them he seems to just always be a part of their relationship. eddie cheats on marisol with his dead wife(wtf was that storyline) and they break up. christopher ends up going to texas because of that situation as well. this clearly affects eddie and he eventually comes to the decision in s8 to move to texas and be with christopher to rekindle their bond and hopefully regain his trust.
losing eddie takes an obvious toll on buck, the man moved into his house and called him practically every single day until he came back. buck and tommy break up(thank god 🙏) and later on they hook up(in eddies house.. the audacity) and when they talk about possibly getting back together, tommy jokes about the competition(eddie) being eliminated. buck is strangely defensive over this and tommy ends up leaving. this is where i think oliver didn't say anything incorrect in that article. buck literally is not shown exploring the possibility that he actually is in love with eddie, and that doesn't change when maddie brings it up as well. he denied it and refuses to consider it any further, repressing any possibility of those feelings being real. that doesn't mean he isn't in love with him, it could just mean he's still in denial. he keeps reminding people eddie is straight when they suggest the possibility of his feelings and i think it's that way for himself as well. he refuses to consider it because he doesn't want to get hurt and ruin the friendship they have. 8x17 was our holy grail and honestly i think molly green and james leffler should write all of s9 but i digress!!
i think we got our hopes up after that + the insane buddie promo run we got leading up to that finale and all of that resulted in a lot of disappointment and pain from how.. underwhelming the finale is. they share a few looks that i personally find suspicious but i might just be desperate idk 😭 eddie ends up saving buck & ravi from the building collapse and buck(in my opinion) looks at eddie with an overwhelming amount of love in his eyes. it's a different look than what we've seen so far, the way they watched eachother in that moment felt so intimate that to me even with the disappointing ending and lack of any real conversations between the two i feel like it's still not the end. i don't think oliver and ryan meant to queerbait with those interviews but i genuinely think they either know something we don't or the showrunners weren't truthful with them. they have never focused so heavily on buddie promotions before this, which brings me back to thinking they're trying to reintroduce it to the general audience. we're upset because we have been following along with this since s2 but the ga hasn't really been considering buddie. i think that the scenes of them accusing buck of being in love with eddie weren't for nothing but rather to make the ga consider it. they won't make them canon immediately after that, they need to build it up more now that it's more of a directly mentioned thing. i think that abc is replicating the same progression we first saw from s2-s4, if you compare s2 with s7 and s3 with s8, they honestly seem very similar in terms of buddie. i think because of that they will possibly go canon at the s9 finale like they intended with s4. it feels like abc wanted to redo the buddie storyline rather than pick up where we left off, so to us it feels like we're regressing rather than getting somewhere in their relationship but it's actually what is going to lead us to them ending up together. abc has multiple slowburn storylines and i wouldn't be surprised if this was another, they just shouldn't have done it to a ship that already had 5 previous seasons of progress.
i could be wrong about all of this and they could genuinely just be queerbaiting for viewership, but to me it just seems unlikely. however tim minear always likes to keep us guessing so idk lol he could actually just be ruining their storyline
i'm sorry that this is so long btw!! i also haven't watched some of the episodes in a while so please correct me if i'm wrong about anything
edit: i also forgot to mention that we are all upset about buck moving out but they don't actually say he's left yet. he's viewing apartments but he hasn't picked one he likes yet. i think in s9 he will still be searching for one and staying on the diaz couch for now, because he's not having luck finding any that feel ''right''. i think they might be doing a parallel to when he was helping eddie pick a place in el paso where he kept nitpicking them, he'll do the same with his place until he eventually just stays with them(and gets promoted from couch to bed 😌)

The Bat, The Spider, and The Mutant / Cassandra Cain x Male Reader x Cindy Moon

Some headcanons about the reader being in a polyamorous relationship with Cassandra and Cindy aka Best Girls.
A/n: This one was requested by @earthboundguythatlikesmother1 I hope you like it. Let me know if you want to add something. Also, this is my first time writing for a polygamous couple.
—How did they meet?—
They met while fighting Anarky.
Anarky was the villain who, teaming up with Ultron, hacked the Shield and Justice League database, spreading confidential information and the superheroes' identities to the entire world, and causing chaos.
And while the Avengers, the X-Men, the Justice League, and other superhero organizations dealt with the infestation of villains and Ultron bots across the world, Y/n went looking for Anarky on Nick Fury's orders.
But when the young man found him, he was already engaged in a battle against someone else. And without thinking twice, he decided to get involved in the fight to assist the other superhero.
After the battle, Y/n, Cassandra, and Cindy took a moment to catch their breath and assess the situation.
Y/n was the first to break the ice by introducing herself to them, saying her superhero nickname, and receiving a short wave and a short answer from both of them in response.
Cassandra, on the other hand, looked at Cindy and Y/n with a certain curiosity due to how Y/N seemed to adapt to the different fighting styles that Anarky used during the fight and Cindy's skills. And the same could be said for Cindy.
That had been the first contact the three had with each other.
But after that, whenever one of them fought against a villain, the other was always there to help him. And without even realizing it, the three had formed a formidable team that caused fear to the villains who came to face them.
– How did they react about Y/n’s powers?—
– Cassandra:
She is known for her exceptional combat skills and her ability to read body language, which made her a formidable fighter. When she finds out about Y/n's adaptive powers, she initially approaches them with caution and curiosity.
Cassandra is highly observant and analytical, so she would likely spend time studying and testing the extent of Y/n's abilities.
As she witnesses Y/n's powers in action, she gradually develops a deep respect for her adaptability. She would appreciate the advantage this brings to her missions, recognizing the potential for strategic planning and improvisation.
Cassandra would see Y/n's powers as a valuable asset and would seamlessly incorporate them into her training sessions, finding ways to maximize their combined effectiveness.
– Cindy:
Cindy is known to possess spider-like abilities, including superhuman strength, agility, and pre-cognitive awareness. When she learns about Y/n's powers, she is intrigued and fascinated by her adaptability.
As someone who has experienced the challenges of having unique abilities, Cindy would empathize with Y/n and be eager to learn more about his powers.
She would be excited to explore the synergies between her spider abilities and Y/n's powers.
She would view their friendship as an opportunity for mutual growth and support, sharing tips and techniques to help Y/n leverage her abilities more effectively.
– When did they start to develop feelings for each other?—
Initially, Y/n, Cassandra, and Cindy formed a strong bond based on shared experiences, trust, and mutual respect. And because of the significant time they spend together as they work as a team, supporting each other as friends. As they navigate challenges and trust each other, they begin to appreciate each other's strengths, values, and unique qualities.
As time passes, the trio realizes that the connection between them extends beyond friendship. They found themselves naturally drawn to each other's company, seeking opportunities to spend more time together. They enjoy each other's presence and feel a sense of comfort and emotional support when they are around each other.
As introverts in the case of Cassandra and Y/n and socially anxious in the case of Cindy, they had difficulty expressing their emotions openly. However, the deep trust and understanding they developed allowed them to gradually open up and share their vulnerabilities. This vulnerability created an even deeper bond and fostered a sense of intimacy between the three.
As romantic feelings begin to emerge between them, the trio becomes more in tune with the subtle shifts in their dynamic. From the lingering touches, and the stolen glances, to the concern they feel for each other, their awareness of these subtle clues ignites a sense of curiosity and intrigue, causing them to question their own emotions.
Because they lead a dangerous life as heroes/vigilantes, there are times when there is an upcoming call during a mission that makes them face the possibility of getting lost. It was on one of these missions that Y/n admitted to himself how he felt about the two young women when he saw them on the ground, full of wounds, and Taskmaster walking towards them.
Eventually, one of the three had to muster the courage to express their feelings. And that someone was Y/n. On one of their walks, the young boy waited for the right moment to honestly share his emotions and admitted his growing affection for them as he held each of their hands in his hands.
With their feelings out in the open, the trio embarks on a new chapter in their relationship. Y/n, Cassandra, and Cindy explore aspects of their connection, taking the time to navigate the dynamics and establish clear communication. They support each other through this transition, understanding that their bond as friends forms a solid foundation for their romantic relationship.
Throughout this process, Cassandra, Cindy, and Y/n navigate their emotions with care and respect for each other's boundaries. They communicate openly, ensuring that everyone's feelings and desires are understood and validated.
– What is their relationship dynamic like?—
Being introverts, they understood and respected each other's need for silence without feeling pressured to fill every moment of conversation.
They value the tranquility of shared silence, finding comfort in each other's presence even without constant verbal interaction. Cassandra, Cindy, and Y/n share a deep bond, built on mutual understanding, empathy, and shared experiences. They would appreciate and recognize the significance of the unspoken connection they have, recognizing that true intimacy can exist beyond constant talking.
They prefer to spend quality time together in more intimate settings, such as quiet evenings at home, engaging in activities that everyone else enjoys. like. Cassandra, Cindy, and Y/nr respected each other's need for personal space and understood that time spent apart is essential for personal growth and well-being.
They supported and encouraged each other's pursuits, recognizing that self-care and personal development contribute to the strength of their relationship as a whole.
Typically, when they're not fighting some bad guy, or training with each other, they engage in thoughtful conversations, discussing their thoughts, experiences, and personal philosophies while cuddling in bed. They stayed there, talking calmly, with Cassandra and Cindy lying on Y/n's chest playing with each other's fingers while Y/n played with their hair softly.
They developed a keen understanding of each other's nonverbal cues, such as body language, expressions, and gestures. They would be in tune with each other's moods and emotions, providing support and comfort even without explicit verbal communication. This was a blessing in battle, as they would be able to predict each other's movements, and a curse at the same time, as neither of them would be able to hide anything without the other finding out.
– Bonus Scenes–
They tend to each other's wounds after a mission.
The bat family (more precisely Bruce, Dick, Jason, and Damian) when they discovered that Cassandra confessed to them that she was in a relationship with Cindy and Y/n were surprised. Alfred decided to give the idea of having a dinner so they could get to know each other better. Which, in Cassandra's eyes, was a terrible idea.
They spent half the dinner intimidating Cindy and Y/n by talking about all their information. From the year they were born, to the phobias they had. Even information that Y/n didn't know about himself, they somehow knew.
Dinner ended when the three men and a teenager suddenly attacked Y/n and Cindy, inducing them into combat. The six engaged in an intense battle, which only stopped after Cassandra intervened.
“You four are embarrassing me”
At the end of it all, they accepted the idea of Y/n and Cindy being in a relationship with Cassandra. But still, they (even Barbara and Stephanie) made it clear that if one of them broke Cassandra's heart they would find a way to make them disappear.
As for Peter, he reacted in a calmer and more relaxed manner (To Y/n's relief. It was enough to have several bats breathing down his neck. He didn't need a spider either). He kept making lots of jokes about bats and spiders.
When the X-Men heard the news that Y/n was in a relationship, everyone, and when I say everyone I mean EVERYONE, celebrated happily. They had already given up hope of him ever finding someone.
And in the middle of that bash, Y/n discovered that his teammates and family had bet on him when he saw Bobby collecting everyone's money. Even Logan was included in that!
“Wait a minute. Did you place bets on me?”
“We had to entertain ourselves somehow, don’t you think? But, just to confirm… Who confessed first?”
“Uhmm… it was me. Why?"
Y/n only knew how to stare at his friends in disbelief once again when half of them groaned and started taking more bills out of their pockets to hand to Bobby, who received the money with a big smile on his face.
Their favorite pastime is when Y/n plays the piano and Cassandra follows the rhythm with her ballet steps while Cindy concentrates on writing her next newspaper column.
Cassandra: looks like she could kill you, could kill you.
Cindy: looks like a cinnamon roll, but could kill you with her webs.
Y/n: looks intimidating, but he's a big teddy bear (don't try your luck).
Out of the three, Cassandra is considered the shortest, which leads her to be the butt of jokes between Cindy and Y/n.
This goes Y/n (6' 0 ft), Cindy (5' 7 ft), and Cassandra (5' 5ft).
There are times when they even argue. This only rarely happens. But when it happens, the fight is intense.
They would spend a few days without exchanging any type of communication. The three were very proud. Mainly Y/n and Cassandra. Because of their pride, it was difficult to admit they were wrong.
But eventually one of them would break down first when they noticed how bad it was causing Cindy's anxiety, and they would quickly sit down to talk and solve their problems.
There were never any problems of jealousy between them.
Lies. It's happened several times. Both three were immensely possessive of each other, even though they were sure of the high level of stability in their relationship.
Cassandra and Y/n almost strangled Peter's clone, Kane, when they discovered the mutual attraction between him and Cindy (Which was later explained to them by Cindy herself that this would happen simply because they had been bitten by the same spider)
Also without forgetting the time when, one of the times when she and Y/n were carrying out a robbery in one of the museums, Black Cat tried to make one of her jokes on Y/n, and Cindy almost threw her from a building.
K-pop music blasting through the speakers in their apartment.
Because of their love for K-pop, Y/n, and Cassandra bought tickets so they could go to Luna Snow's (Cindy's favorite singer) concert. And despite both being classical music lovers, Y/n and Cassandra couldn't help but be carried away by K-pop lyrics and beats.

Do you have any thoughts on Jack and Zee’s relationship vs Matt and Alfred’s relationship? Don’t think the younger two siblings are closer to each other because they are more “equal”?
Just realized I completely misunderstood this ask as jack and Zee get along better and not Matt and Zee as the younger in their duos. Facepalm.
Many and eternally. I could have written it that way and I did think about it a lot at the beginning and how that might have been the case well into the 20th century. Matt is at least partially, though to a lesser degree, used to a kind of political maneuvering that Zee has no choice but to use. She's read as female and is a much less powerful state and thus she often has to wield soft power as if it is hard strength. She's much like in him in that she has to both cling to a public persona of decency, be absolutely amazing at diplomacy, and be a viscous bastard behind the scenes. But that's about where it ends.
Jack is more powerful than Zee, sure. He has had some pretty spectacular moments of dickery in his life and has ridden roughshod over her wishes now and again. But even with things like the occasional Australian misappropriation of ANZAC day and welfare and citizenship right issues, Australia and New Zealand talk things out. Australia, from my understanding, gives a flying fuck about what New Zealand thinks and wants and truly does think of their relationship as being a two way street. They are bound so tightly together. But Jack has defied their father and Alfred for her, Australia has risked all the security its ever had post-WW2 in order to recognize New Zealand's right to say go fuck yourself to any nuclear power. And in a lot of ways, Jack with his pretty deep seated abandonment issues from everyone but Zee, will do anything and everything for her.
They grew up before modern medicine and there absolutely were times where one of them became ill with whatever outbreak of name some disease we're bringing back to kill ourselves with because cunts are too stupid to get a jab. Arthur would try his best to separate them and it was impossible. Zee is interested in medicine in an era when nurses die after being exposed to god knows what regularly and constantly. Jack will not leave her when that happens and he won't make her stop even if he wishes she were less determined about things. She followed him up the cliffs of Gallipoli. She looked all of fifteen the day she killed their father with a syringe of morphine to the jugular not out of malice but sheer terror Arthur was going to hurt Jack in some way that would change them both. And this sounds very wholesome in some ways but we're also talking about a partnership that maintained what was technically the British Empire in the Pacific long after they would have faded otherwise and later American interests. Their loyalty to each other is both impressive, touching, and for anyone in their way, godawful.
And there was once a time when Matt was the head of their generation. Where he stood between and around them, the mortar between the bricks, smoothing over the conflicts and facilitating a family life that might not have even been possible without him. When Matt asserts himself in his early life, it is usually on behalf of all three of them. Demanding the right to Dominionship and forcing the way open not only for Jack and Zee to follow him to political maturity but practically dragging them along with him. But that existed alongside the idea that Australia and New Zealand are wealthy and productive and full of potential and Canada is an increasingly less valuable liability laying as it does next to the burgeoning American Empire. Even so, they are in many ways a trio until the end of the First World War.
But by then father's power is at its zenith and Alfred is rising. And by the end of the Second World War, any sense of unity is dead. In their mind, Matt began choosing Alfred over them fairly early on and events further back become tainted by Matt's sheer refusal to piss off Alfred. When British political energy is being expended, its to keep the Americans onside. Even if he doesn't admit it, Matt has the American spurs on his throat and it colours everything he does. Jack and Zee end up usually opposing Matt's interests in every imperial issue and vice versa purely because of Alfred. To Matt, he has no choice. Alfred decides whether he lives or dies. To Jack and Zee, Matt made his choice and the choice he made was Alfred. In some ways, that sense of betrayal is starker to Jack because the argument Jack ended up usually making was imperial unity, something that was once Matt's top priority. To Zee, its deeper because she looks at Matt's situation and saw where she could have made choices that fit in the realm of how she and Matt have to operate in the world and she has a very hard time sympathizing with Matt's lack of effectiveness in handling Alfred as well as she does Jack when needed. And thats without getting into the politics of Suez in 56, the Vietnam War, the so called Malaya 'emergency,' decoloninization and all the other issues. Zee knows how to handle Jack on the rare occassion he gives her trouble and Jack will not put himself over her to that sheer awful extent Alfred will over Matt.
