"Danny was born a Wayne" AU except he's Bruce's grand uncle. The result of a one time drunken affair, shortly before Kenneth Wayne's death, to a young unmarried woman who gave the baby up for adoption.
(Whether the Fenton's, and therefore Amity, were just ahead of their times or the DC timeline is shifted a bit so that DP happens in its cannon era is up to you. Dealers choice, though now that i know about her i just love badass widowed prohibition leader Laura Elizabeth Wayne)
Danny grows up knowing hes adopted and loved by the Fentons but something (dealer's choice) happens and he loses his family and friends (maybe the whole town goes too?). In an attempt to avoid a Dan situation he flees into the Infinite Realm and doesn't stop.
He just wanders, time passes in its weird Realms way, not that Danny truly notices. A protector spirit thats lossed everything it protected. Its a wonder he doesn't fade and he actually might've if it wasn't for his human side.
But its a tug at his core that brings him from his near catatonic wandering. Gone before he can even understand it but enough to shake him back to himself. Enough to know that hes nowhere near ready to go anywhere familiar so he continues on, his wandering no less pointless but at least he's aware again.
What feels like a relatively short time later he gets another tug, and this time he manages to follow it.
He follows it invisibly through a natural portal that drops him somewhere in New Jersey and all the way to a fancy hospital room in the gloomiest city he's ever seen.
In there he sees his half brother Patrick Wayne, though he wont figure out their connection for a few more years, holding little Agatha. She's adorable in her little dress and pigtails and her sweet face causes that familiar tug he recognizes from what must have been six years ago given the girls age.
Then a nurse comes in and hands a little bundle to what must be the mother (whos name i cant find) and Danny takes one look at the little core tugger who brought him here and just melts. Even without knowing yet that this is his last remaining family, his instincts latch on and he vows to protect and care for the Waynes.
And he does.
He finds his forgetful brother's documents and keeps Aggy company when everyone else is busy and soothes baby Thomas so his poor sister-in-law can get some more sleep. He ices fevers and bruised knees and helps on later games of hide and seek.
He very rarely becomes visible and only to the children. His grief over the Fenton's convinces him its better to protect his new family from the shadows.
Danny explores every inch of the manor, including secret passages and an underground cave system. He claims a forgotten room in the back of the attic as his own, which over the years fill up with knickknacks, heirlooms, and pictures of the family. Even a gift or two from Agatha, who hadn't stopped believing in their shadowy guardian like her brother did when Danny felt they were too old to see him without drawing suspicion.
The manor becomes his haunt and he always knows where each family member is within it. And when any guests have some no good intentions.
And when baby Bruce is born tugging at his core and with the bluest little eyes, he welcomes the fussy little thing. And makes sure dear Martha never knows just how fussy baby Bruce really is, otherwise she might've never had a full nights sleep.
Danny blames himself for not being there when Thomas and Martha die, and promises to never leave Bruces side, practically becoming the boy's living shadow. Watching over him as he gets older, secretly aiding him in his training. Danny feels a bit of pride when Bruce takes some inspiration from the old stories Thomas told him of the shadowy Wayne family protector when creating his Batman identity, glad his nephew still remembers him even if he hasn't shown himself since the now young man was six.
Danny continues to protect and care for the family in a variety of ways over the years even as the family grows.
Lightening Alfred's workload, softening Dick's falls, calming Jason's temper both pre and post pit, hiding Tim's coffee when the boy hasn't slept in far too long, providing plenty of shadows and hiding nooks for Cass, helping Damian hide the litter of kittens he found.
And no one seems to know he's there, except maybe Cass and he's pretty sure Alfred has been know since he first started working for the family. No one knows, that is, until Duke Thomas moves in and lookes right at him watching invisibly from the sidelines.
(@omnicrafts @dcxdpdabbles @hdgnj @ailithnight @nelkcats @im-totally-not-an-alien-2 i dont know, the main point of all this is that Danny's been protecting the Wayne family for decades and no one, except maybe Alfred, knew until Duke moved in)

GUYS GUYS GUYS i just shifted!!! I cant believe it!! Yesterday, ive been affirming "ill shift tonight and be back at 6 am tomorrow" so then after going to sleep i woke up in my room, right? A few things were different hut I didn't give it much thought (a few posters, some candles etc.) and i dressed up to go to school, right? Which,my closet also had some stuffi hadn't seen before but i was tryijg not to run late...and when i get there 2 dudes i REALLY wanted to talk to said they "were waiting" for me and started walking along side me and talking ab my fav video games!!! And atp I didn't understand what was going on UNTIL i saw myself in like a ,yk those doors that have a half clear square at the top?? YEAH IN THOSE and i looked like my dr self,(when making a script mentally and on paper i hadnt decided if i wanted look really different so i just wrote like clear skin,a bit longer lashes, longer layered wolfcut. With faceframing layers and red highlights) AND they were both constantly trying to like ask me all sorts of stuff like "did u sleep well" or "did u eat breakfast yet" and they went on to tell me ab a new game while i was standing there like 🧍🏻‍♀️so basically we ended up to the like market near to get breakfast, then i came home, and i noticed all sorts of things like i had his drawer full of makeup and skincare...anyway yeah i shifted FINALLY and ive been constantly trying for like a month and yesterday when affirming i wasnt really doing it like focusing on it and didn't really believe it at first, then my mind was like "im gonna shift tonight wether i like it or not ive had enough" and so yeah...ANYWAY IM SO HAPPY HEHEHE never give up no matter how much it takes dont worry youll get there!! Just stay persistently affirming even if you're not paying attention to it! Visualizing might help but you should really just do what feels right for u! I didn't even have a proper script for this dr yet i got there!its all about consistency and mindset! Do whatever feels right to u and come back to tell us the stories cause it's really motivating, especially for baby shifters who dont trust this yet (understandahle i didnt really either)
Anyway,im gonna shift to a jjk and another dr soon so stay persistent and don't let your past reality discourage you<333🎀

So, I just want to say something real quick about Wilbur Soot and the expectation fans have of all his friends to come out and immediately make statements and drop him. I particularly want to talk about Tommy because i see parallels between his relationship with Wilbur and my relationship with an adult who made me feel responsible for his wellbeing. I am not saying that their relationship is like this, just that based on what we've seen it could be, and we should be prepared to be empathetic and understanding to Tommy in case it is like this.
So some background. Starting at 13 or 14, I had a friend in his thirties who made me feel responsible for his mental health. I won't go into great detail, but I was constantly reassuring him and trying to keep him from killing himself, which was something he gave me multiple scares about. He would disappear and not respond to messages for days or weeks after posting suicide notes on his tumblr... but he was fine every time, just stepping away. Still, it scared me every time, and I felt like I hadn't been doing a good enough job helping him be happy.
I was friends with him from 13 to 16 and I felt responsible not just for his happiness, but his life.
It was so difficult to end that friendship that it took him blocking me multiple times before i could accept that he wasn't my responsibility anymore.
I defended him, let him get away with shit, let him have way more power over my life and beliefs and relationships than he should have. Because i was so toxically attached to him and believed what he told me, I seriously hurt my best friend in the whole world and I will never be able to fully express how sorry I am for it.
I'm saying this because there is evidence that Wilbur and Tommy's relationship contains similar dynamics. Wilbur has said that he relies on Tommy for his mental health. They met when Tommy was, what, 15? That's not healthy. Wilbur is an adult. I've also heard that Tommy has had to talk Wilbur down from suicide. This is extremely similar to what I experienced, and as much as it discomforts me to be seriously speculating about two ccs' relationship off-camera, I can't help but see the strong similarities to my story.
And Shelby's story corroborates this kind of behavior from Wilbur. She also was made to feel like Wilbur relied on her. For Shelby it was about his living situation--she felt like he needed her to take care of him, like he was too traumatized or depressed to take care of his own house and affairs, and if she stopped doing it it just wouldn't get done. And because she is a kind person, she didn't want to leave him like that.
This kind of behavior traps the victim in a relationship with the abuser by making them feel guilty if they try to leave or even distance themselves. It makes the victim feel like they cant hurt or go against the abuser in any way, for fear of blood on their hands, literal or metaphorical. It drives you to defend them, to try to stay by their side even as they prove themselves a terrible person.
So if Tommy isn't immediate and decisive in dropping Wilbur, I think we should be understanding. In these sorts of manipulative relationships, its really hard to speak badly of the abuser, and its hard to accept when others say they're abusive. That's an aspect of the abuse.
It took me until I was 13 to even be consciously aware of my mom doing this to me, and I only became aware of that "friend" doing it when I hadn't spoken to him in years.
This is the sort of thing that is VERY difficult to process and navigate and I think we should give Tommy, and other people close to Wilbur, some grace in navigating it. They should still drop him, but I think we should let them take some time because dropping an abuser who acts like this is very difficult, and they make it so on purpose.

— sea foam 【picturesque/ayato smau】
Tumblr media
[ masterlist ] written portion after the first 3 photos!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I squinted, trying to make out if the man on the beach was really Ayato. From the looks of it, it was. I'd be concerned if anyone else was on this private area of the beach, anyway.
Staying cautious as to not drop my coffee cup, I took my steps quicker.
“Ayato!” I called out. But I hadn't considered the complications that would come with a moment alone beside him. Recently, each time we hung out together with just the two of us, my heart became more unsettled. I couldn't really describe it, but I had the strongest feeling it was due to… Love. Or maybe it was the early signs of a heart attack.
Somehow, the latter sounded better.
“How come you're up so early?” Ayato looked up from his camera and looked at me. I felt vulnerable.
“I could say the same thing… But I'm going to assume that it's because of the sunrise. I'm here for that same reason, after all.” I smiled as I took a sip of the coffee.
“You're away from Kusuri, yet you still can't avoid making little latte art?” He questioned.
“I think it’ll be stuck with me forever. You don't want a sip?” I offered, handing the cup to him. He shook his head, “I already had some before coming out.”
I frowned. “So that's why the coffee machine felt warm. Don't tell me you didn't sleep all night, at a place as beautiful as this?”
“I think I'm a little desensitized to it, having seen this house more than a few times. That's what comes with having the money to buy things like this. Of course, I still have to come outside with my camera. Nature is something I can never be desensitized to.” Ayato sheepishly smiled. He felt it was a sensitive topic, but he spoke the truth. The next time I come here—but maybe I'm getting too far ahead of myself assuming there will be a next time—I'd also be much less amazed.
Ayato’s next words quickly broke me away from my thoughts. “Will you allow me to take photos of you here?”
I was frozen for a long moment. “I thought you didn't take photos with models.”
“I ask this because you wouldn't be a model… And I believe you're just like nature. Beautiful enough to be the center of all my photos.”
“Flirt with me like this and I'll run off, be careful.” I teased, but the desire to flee was high. It's not that I enjoyed it. It's that I enjoyed it too much. That feeling made me worry, it reminded me that I didn't really know what I was doing. So much of my life was focused on things I could trust and have comfort in. This, romance, was new and unfamiliar.
“Only if you keep them to yourself.”
“So that's a yes?” Ayato grinned.
“Like I said, only if-” but he cut me off almost immediately.
“I'm amused that you think I'd use them for anything. I want these photos so I can capture them in my heart.”
He acted so confident in his flirting, but when both of us were silent, I could hear his heart beating out of his chest.
“You should really get that checked out, you know?” I rolled my eyes after swallowing down the nervousness.
“I did. My doctor told me to wait for a response after I confessed to them.”

i beg of thee... please... more blackguard stuff. am dyin over here...
It appears the sinners have demanded my attention.
Very well, it's time
TO LOCK THE FUCK IN!
Back bone.
Jaune found himself sitting in his dorm gaming with ruby and surprisingly Weiss was with them, watching as the two were playing "street clash revolve" with jaune winning 3 matches as it was a best of six. With ruby winning 4 matches.
Jaune: Oop! Oop! Here it comes ruby!
Ruby: oh you think?! Aight bring it vomit boy!
Jaune proceed to tap a chain of buttons.
Up forward and then B as jaune shouted with enthusiasm.
Jaune: KANE OVERDRIVE!
On the TV screen the letters K. O. plastered the screen as Ruby groaned but also laughed as her and jaune fist bump. With Weiss watching in awe.
Ruby: GG jaune, GG.
Jaune: what you mean GG? We only got two rounds left before one of us wins.
Ruby: unfortunately I gotta get ready.me and yang will be heading to our dad's cabin for our break, and I gotta grab my bags and get ready, me and her will leave in an hour.
Jaune: awe, well I understand
Weiss: you sure you two and your father couldn't reschedule?
Jaune and Ruby had to do a double take as they looked at Weiss who they completely forgot was there.
Weiss:... Look I'm on the edge of my seat and I want to see who wins!
Jaune and Ruby look at eachother.
Jaune: are you sure we aren't sharing a dream?
Ruby: definitely. But regardless sorry Weiss but I gotta go, if don't who knows when me and yang will be able to go again.
Weiss sighed and nodded.
Weiss: very well, I do hope you and Yang enjoy your time back with your father.
Ruby:.. thanks weiss
Ruby walked out as jaune and Weiss sat on the formers bed with Jaune just looking at Weiss.
Jaune: hey um.. real talk, but why have you been so interested in what me and ruby do lately.
Weiss: oh just curiosity, plus I figured it do me some good to get to hang out with my leader and her friend.
Jaune looked at her as he put his controller away and fully turned to her.
Jaune: it's Bleiss isn't it?
Weiss just sat there before groaning.
Weiss: i don't know why but whenever I try to be Alone she constantly pops up and bugs me over and over again, its getting frustrating and since i cant be alone any more-
Jaune: you started hanging out with me and ruby?
Weiss nodded and looked away somewhat ashamed.
Jaune: so I assume you dont actually find what we do to hang out interesting?
Weiss: at first yes but just being around you two, there's this energy you give off that is just.. nice to be around, your like air purifiers... That was a bad analogy I'm sorry.
Jaune just chuckled but waved his hand.
Jaune: I think I understand. But outside of that.. Weiss this is your sister we are talking about. And neither of you have seen eachother for...
Weiss:... 5 years.
Jaune: 5 years, and from what i can tell, she wants to atleast catch up.
Weiss: it's not like I don't know that! Its just- why can't she just be-
Jaune: normal? Weiss your normal is based around fancy balls and gala's. How Bleiss is acting is normal. Shes being herself. Shes being&
Weiss: loud, foul mouthed, and is flirting with basically every man here?
Jaune: yeah that. All I'm gonna say is this, siblings may come from the same family, but they don't always have the same lessons as us... I can't believe I actually used the advice saph gave me.
Weiss chuckled as she just looked at the knight. The two hadn't completely become friends but jaune hoped they were getting there, and so far from he could tell.. they were.
Then footsteps are heard as one Belamere "bleiss" noir givrése. Weiss Schnee's twin sister. Her attire still the same biker aesthetic as ever with her looking around the room, before seeing jaune.
Bleiss: ah you jaune I wanna talk to you for a second.
To both Jaune and Weiss's her tone was less rude and more... polite.
Weiss: where the hell was this?!
Jaune: uh sure just give me a second.
Bleiss: take your time but this is rather important.
Weiss: WHERE THE HELL WAS THIS?!
Jaune adjusted himself as he followed Bleiss outside the room only to be pinned to the wall as he yelped before being hushed by the twin of his snow angel.
Bleiss: I need your help arc, my dear sister and I have obviously not gotten along. So I need you to help me out here since you, Weiss, and that ruby girl, are buddy-buddy now. Got it?
Jaune simply nodded as Bleiss smiled.
Bleiss: good. And If you do well enough who knows.. I may give you a taste of people out of your leag-
Jaune removed her hand from his mouth rather calmly as he spoke.
Jaune: don't even think about it, I'm doing this because Weiss is my friend, and I prefer her not having to deal with any problem that can be solved. I don't care what you give in exchange.
Bleiss:.. that's surprisingly noble. Here I was thinking he was just a loser going for women out of his league.
Jaune: are we done now?
Bleiss: hm? Oh yes, I'll be going now, till then, noble knight~
Jaune raised an eyebrow at the nickname as Bleiss walked away with a smirk.
Bleiss: perhaps this place is nothing like vacoue, and if that's the case this will be lovely~
And that end this installment of the growing story between Bleiss and Jaune.

At First Sight: Part One
Tumblr media
Plot: Sitting on a long train ride, you cant help but steal glances at the attractive stranger beside you. Especially when he falls asleep with his head on your shoulder.
-Part Two-
Pairing: Song Mingi x Gn!Reader
-Meet-Cute Series-
Warnings: Not sure if this is a "warning" but Y/n is used a few times.
Words: 2.4k; I really enjoyed writing this one, I hope you guys like it~
Tumblr media
Sitting down in your seat, bag in your lap, you glanced at the seat beside you, wondering if you wre going to have a companion for your near three hour train ride.
Even if you did, you doubted you would speak. Part of you hoped no one would sit beside you at all. But as the train cart began to fill, you had a feeling you wouldn't be so lucky.
Looking at the entry way, your eyes caught on a head of light purple hair as a tall attractive man entered the cart. You felt your breath hitch for a second as you noted just how attractive he was, almost ethereal even.
'Is that even a real person?' you thought to yourself, half-joking.
As he looked around, clearly trying to find his seat, your heart beat picked up. There was no way...right?
His eyes landed on the number above your head before he stopped and looked down. His eyes immeditely finding yours.
Your breath caught in your throat as your heart seemed to flip in your chest.
You were sure you were imagining it, but time seemed to freeze for a second as his eyes locked with yours for surely longer than necessry.
You notice that he finally smiled at you before he looked away, almost bashully as he maked his way down the aisle towards you.
You quickly looked away, feeling your face heat up. Your grip tightened on your bag as you looked out the window, trying to calm your heart.
Why did the most attractive man you've probably ever seen have to be sitting next to you? You weren't sure if you were lucky or not.
Glancing over as he opened the storage cubby above your seats, he put a bag inside before he moved to sit down. His eyes met yours again and he smiled. Unable to resit, you smiled back, a shy soft smile, but it was enough to make his heart jolt. Not that you knew that.
As Mingi moved to sit down beside you, he was trying his hardest to calm his own heavy beating heart.
When he first entered the train cart, he hadn't even thought about who he might be sat by for the long journey. He was still getting over the fact that the only flight home he could take was cancelled, and all he wanted was to sleep his exhaustion off.
When he found his seat number and looked down, his eyes met yours and he felt like the world froze around him. You were already looking at him and he almost jumped back. You were gorgeous, and he couldn't believe he'd be sitting next to you.
Would you talk to him? Would you ignore him? Could he even sleep beside you? With his heart hammering as hard as it was as he made his way down the aisle, he really wasn't sure he'd sleep at all.
"Hey." He finally spit out as he got comfortable in his seat.
You glanced over at him and smiled shyly again, "Hi" you muttered out softly, almost surprised he spoke to you, and he couldn't help but smile.
You were surprised by how deep his voice was, and it only made you more nervous.
The two of you sat in silence as you both silently watched more people make their way down the train aisle. Mingi tapped his legs softly as he spared a glance over at you. You were rifling through your bag, and he couldn't decide if he should to speak to you or not.
As the train finally began to move, Mingi suddenly felt his exhaustion return. He looked at you again and wondered where you were going.
How long would you be beside him? If he fell asleep and woke up, would you be gone? Would he have lost his chance to speak to you?
As you noticed him looking at you from the corner of your eye, you began to look over, only for him to snap his attention away from you quickly as he looked down the aisle. Obviously trying to act like he hadn't just been almost caught staring at you.
You smiled to yourself, feeling your face heat up as you pulled your book from your bag. Seeing him sit up in his seat a bit, you glanced over at the same time he looked back at you.
You felt like you got shocked as your eyes met momentarily, but both of you looked away quickly. Neither of you noticed the bashful smiles that crossed your faces.
You cursed yourself as you tried to focus on your book. Why were you suddenly so shy? What was it about this guy that made you feel like a teenager again? And more importantly, was he feeling it too?
As you tried to read your book, you didn't notice that you had read the same page three times as your mind kept wandering to the stranger beside you.
Should you talk to him? You saw his ticket as he sat down, he's getting off at the same station as you. So you'd be beside him for a while. Would it be weird to remain silent the whole time? Or even weirder to force conversation?
You weren't sure how long had passed as you got so lost in your thoughts. But you were jolted out of them when you suddenly felt something heavy land on your shoulder.
You looked over quickly, almost flinching as you realized his head was on your shoulder.
"Wha-" you mumbled out before you realized he was dead asleep.
You froze and your breath caught for a moment before, you gently leaned forward to get a view of his face. Your stomach fluttered as you saw his face was peaceful as his eyes were tightly shut. He must have been exhausted.
Catching yourself staring, you looked up and around, before you leaned back slowly.
'What should I do? Should I wake him? Or move his head?'
As you worried about what the right move might be, you noted an old woman walking down the aisle was staring at you with a bright smile.
As she shuffled past she waved her hand softly and whispered "Had a long weekend did he?"
You smiled, "I would assume so."
"You two remind me of my son and his partner."
"Oh, do we?" You chuckle out, uncertain if you should tell her he's a stranger.
She grinned, "You make such a cute couple"
"Oh-" you were going to correct her but smiled instead, deciding it might become a bit awkward. "Thank you"
She grinned again before she continued down the aisle, you let out a soft breathy laugh before looking back down at the stranger. After admiring him for a moment, you decided you didn't want to wake him. He'd probably move his head on his own, it was best to let him be.
Stealing another glance at him, which would turn into one of many, you smiled softly before you returned your attention back to your book.
Tumblr media
As Mingi slowly started to wake up, he couldn't place where he was. His neck was a bit cramped as he opened his eyes, the light causing him to flinch a bit.
Seeing the seat in front of him, and feeling the vibration of his surroundings, he remembered he was on the train. He must have fallen asleep pretty quickly after leaving the station since he didn't recall much. Looking down at himself, he noticed an unfamiliar jacket draped over him and he frowned.
Slowly sitting up he looked over to see what he had been lounging against, his heart jumped when he saw that he had fallen asleep on you.
Looking up, his eyes met yours and he froze, his heart leaping to his throat.
You smiled at him after a moment, "Sleep well?"
He jolted up the rest of the way, suddenly very awake. You let out a soft giggle, as you saw mortification cross his features.
"I fell asleep on you." He stated, before he cringed and put his hand over his face.
You let out a soft chuckle, and Mingi almost hated how cute it sounded. "Yes, yes you did, but it's okay. You must have been very tired."
He peaked at you through his fingers before he sighed, "Yeah, I was." he let out a soft awkward chuckle, "I'm sorry."
You smiled softly at him and shook your head, "It's alright, I promise. I'm just happy I'm apparently that comfortable."
Mingi's smile turned into a grin as he cleared his throat and sat back in his seat again. Looking down he grabbed the jacket on his lap.
"Oh, that's mine." He looked up at you with a soft bewilderment and you smiled shyly "You started to shiver a bit when the air cooling turned on, so...I put it over you. I hope you don't mind."
He grinned at you and you felt your heart flip as your ears burned.
"You're too nice." He said softly as he gently folded your jacket up and handed it back to you. "Thank you."
You smiled and took the jacket as Mingi stared at you. Clearing his throat lightly he turned a bit to face you, "How long was I asleep?"
"Uh, maybe two hours?"
His eyes widened a bit, "Two hours?!"
"Yeah why?"
"You let me sleep on you that long? Is yours shoulder not dead?" He asked as he turned fully towards you now.
You were surprised at the sudden amount of energy, but you laughed, "My shoulder will live. I would have felt bad for waking you up anyways."
He leaned his head against the seat but stared at you, "You should have. I'm sorry."
Your heart pounded from the way he looked at you, but you chuckled and shook your head. Mingi felt his chest tighten.
"I'm Mingi by the way."
You looked back over at him and smiled "Y/n."
He grinned "It's nice to meet you Y/n."
"You too Mingi"
As his name left your mouth he felt his heart flip. Before he could speak again, his attention was stolen as someone stopped beside him. He noted the way your eyes lit up in recognition as the old woman grinned down at the two of you.
The train began to slow, and you assumed it was the old 'womans' stop. You glanced at Mingi as he looked bewildered at the old woman.
She gently patted his shoulder, "You've got a sweet one there." She said with a smile as she gestured at you.
Mingi blinked as he looked over at you as the woman left.
You met his eyes and let out an awkward chuckle "She uh, came by before, when you were asleep, and thought we were a couple. Apparently we reminded her of her son and his partner."
"Oh." Mingi muttered softly before he chuckled, the butterflies in his stomach not going unnoticed by him.
After a bit more casual conversation, Mingi nervously played with his fingers before he looked over at you. "Can I ask where your stop is?"
You smiled as you grabbed your ticket from the table in front of you and showed it to him. His heart skipped as he saw you were getting off at the same stop as him.
"That's where I'm getting off at!" He said with a bit more excitement than he meant but you smiled brightly. "Do you live around there?"
You nodded, "Yeah."
His smile only widened, which you hardly thought possible, but you couldn't help your own smile widening at his reaction.
"So do I."
Hearing an announcement ring out over the speaker, Mingi frowned as it was announced your stop was in less than twenty minutes.
Looking back over at you his frown was still present on his face. "I wish I hadn't slept so long" he admitted.
You frowned a bit, "Why?"
His heart was hammering in his chest, but he let his determination win over his fear "Twenty minutes isn't very long. I wanted to talk to you more."
Your chest tightened as your breath caught for a moment, your neck and ears burning hot. Mustering up what courage you could find, you smiled at him.
"You still could."
His eyes widened slightly as a grin spread across his face, he turned to face you fully.
"I was hoping you'd say that." He said with a chuckle.
Laughing in response you felt as though your heart melted on the spot. You looked down at your hands nervously, though you could feel his eyes were still glued on you.

As you and Mingi stepped off the train and onto the platform, you walked away from the crowd before you slowed.
"I'm going this way" You motioned to the far side of the station as Mingi frowned, looking the opposite way as he glanced at his phone to see where his driver was.
"I'm not."
"Then this is goodbye I guess." You saw a frown cross his face and you quickly added on, "For now. I hope."
A smile appeared on his face as he nodded fervently. "Yeah. Just for now. I'll text you later, and maybe we could meet up soon?"
You nodded in return, "Yeah, definitely."
He grinned and nodded as he repressed a shy chuckle.
Taking a step back, though reluctantly, you nodded your head, "Bye Mingi."
He smiled as he waved lightly at you, "Bye Y/n."
Turning, you headed down the station before looking back once more. Finding him still watching you with a fond smile, you grinned as your heart somersaulted. You waved once more at him, which was met with a big full arm wave and bright grin back.
As you disappeared around the corner, Mingi lowered his arm and let out a sigh. Feeling his phone in his pocket he resisted the urge to text you immediately.
How had he become to attached, and so whipped for someone he knew less than a few hours? Thinking back on how he felt when he first saw you, and how your mere presence made him feel, he took in a deep breath. Was this what was meant by love at first sight?
Shaking his head as he let out a chuckle at the thought, he turned and headed down the train station. Even as he brushed the thought away, he would find it wandering back more often than not.
Love at first sight or not, he couldn't help but now be grateul that his flght had been cancelled.

Between The Lines
(7,832 words)
Tony thinks that there's something about Freddy and Bonnie that make them seem closer and different than the other Glamrocks. It takes him a while to realize that there isn't on the outside like he thought, and that maybe, he just sees himself and Gregory in them. And that a certain drawing Gregory has given to him might tell him that Gregory had the same idea.
Greg and Ellis had looked like kids in a candy shop when theyd entered the West Arcade for the first time since the Pizzaplex reopened.
Just like all the banners strung about have advertised, theres brand new arcades and games to try out around the place. The place is fuller, not only due to the sheer amount of guests, especially because of the return of Bonnie, but also because of all of the new cabinets taking up space.
Tony had been content just following his friends as they floundered over what game to play first. They had such big smiles on their faces while wandering around... itd been nice seeing them like that. Tony knows Gregory has been having trouble lately. The whole GGY thing takes a toll on him, even after it's been over for months. He's not much different, but... Greg definitely has it worse. Tony's just glad he's loosening up for this.
Even Tony, who hadn't ever really cared for arcade games, can notice just how many new games have been added to the Faz-Cade. Every step brings his attention to a new cabinet here, another one there, all with new themes and art he's never seen before.
Despite how much he likes to be aware of everything around him, he usually can only focus on one thing at a time. His friends voices are only background noise to him while he gazes at all of the new sights in the Faz-Cade. They're saying something about grinding for points and scores, but Tony cant focus when he's just admiring some particularly cool art.
Subconsciously, his body stops along with his friends when they suddenly quit walking to admire some other cabinet. He startles at the change, and goes to open his mouth, a question already on his tongue.
But he never gets it out. His head doesnt turn, and his eyes catch onto a certain arcade game to their right that's angled directly for the cabinet art to be staring right at him.
The bright and contrasting colors of the two characters in the drawing are all he needs to see to recognize them at first glance.
It's a drawing of Freddy and Bonnie; the colors bright and art angled to look dynamic on the curve of the games' outer shape. Its brand new art, Tony's sure of it. Theres been multiple of Bonnie across the Plex so far since he's returned.
He would know.
Freddy and Bonnie... Tony doesnt know why, but he just cant stop looking at the art of them on the cabinet. They're shoulder to shoulder, bodies leaned onto each other and looking at eachother from the corner of their eyes. Not their instruments or who would be the viewer... eachother.
Its like they're in their own little world, Tony thinks. He doesn't know why he thinks that. He's never noticed a difference before. Is there even one? Has there ever been this kind of closeness in promotional art with characters like Roxy and Monty or Chica and Freddy?
Maybe he should get another opinion. He tilts his head, never taking his eyes off of the art on the cabinet over. "Hey, guys? Does this art of Freddy and Bonnie look--"
"Midnight Motorist!" He's cut off mid sentence by Ellis' exclamation. Ellis takes off from his side, and it finally tears Tony's eyes off of the drawing of Freddy and Bonnie. He races to a cabinet a few over and is bouncing in place looking it over. "I cant believe this is one of the new ones they added!"
Gregory is the next to leave his side after that, heading to join Ellis at the cabinet and blabbering on about something himself. But Tony finds it hard to listen when his mind is still stuck on the brand new official Freddy and Bonnie art for some reason.
He shakes it off, leaving it for another time. He knows sometimes his curiosity can take over his brain in the middle of something sometimes. He just... doesn't understand what there is to be curious about this time. It doesn't eat away at him like curiosity does to him every time, though. This time doesnt feel the same.
He shakes it off again, this time shaking his head physically for good measure. Later. He thinks. He leaves the cabinet and joins his friends by Midnight Motorist, and begins to catch their conversation.
"Do you think we can get the first high scores on it?" Greg is asking when Tony gets there. Theres a kind of rare wicked grin on his face. "Just imagine. Setting an example for everyone else before they can even try themselves."
Ellis huffs a laugh, and eyes Tony when he stands beside Greg. "Hey," Ellis grins. "Wanna watch me set the first high score ever on Midnight Motorist?"
Tony smiles, eyeing the completely empty Best Players screen. "Sure."
To Tony's suprise, Gregory let's Ellis play first and waits his turn until he's done. Ellis steps up to the cabinet, and Tony is content watching Ellis get to know the game and his steadily racking points.
The two of them have formed a little huddle around Ellis' shoulder. His shoulder. For some reason, Tony and Gregory arent on each side like they should be. Theyve decided to squish into the left side of the cabinet and watch from there.
Why? Tony's thinking. Theres a weird feeling in his stomach that he cant identify. Why didnt they split up? They're shoulder to shoulder and theyre pressed so close together Tony is hyper aware of Greg's presence.
He feels his voice reverberate through his own arm and it makes Tony's cheeks burn and his thoughts scramble to come up with a reason.
He cant find one, he realizes. The chimes and music of the game in front of him kind of fade into the background while he tries to think about it more. His brain runs at a million miles an hour, and hes half aware of the thoughts in his head and half aware of how his heart is hammering in his chest at the same time.
Its confusing to him why he cares so much. Why this one little simple action has made his thoughts run so wild.
But while searching for why he and Greg are so close instead of far apart, for some reason, in response, his mind conjures up the art of Freddy and Bonnie.
"Yeah!" Greg cheers beside him, and Tony startles slightly, his thoughts coming to an abrupt halt as he comes back down to earth. His voice is right in his ear and Tony doesnt know what the weird feeling in his stomach is. "You got this, Ellis!"
He breathes out, deep but quiet and slow. He tries not to be obvious, but after the past few months, he shouldn't be suprised when Greg somehow notices.
He twists his neck over to look Tony's way, and Tony makes himself look back. Theres concern swimming in Gregory's eyes that Tony's so familiar with from over the past few months. When Tony would be struggling with the GGY incident and Greg would try his hardest to help him.
"Hey," Gregory asks, voice hushed and soft. Despite the loud button presses and the music coming from the cabinet just besides them, Gregory's voice reaches him so clearly. "are you okay?"
Tony doesnt respond immediately. He just stares, and ignores the twinge in his neck from how hes leaning his head back from the proximity. For some reason, he flounders for words.
"Uh, yeah." He says after a second, offering a smile. "I'm, uh, okay, Greg. Don't worry about me."
Gregory doesn't respond immediately, just looking at him a bit longer. Despite the inches of height Tony has on Gregory, his presence just feels bigger. Tony dares to flick his eyes, and deep blue meets gold.
Another moment of silence passes, and it feels like it drags on forever. Then, Greg nods. "Kay." He says, then turns back to the cabinet screen.
And that's that.
The feeling in his stomach doesnt go away, and along with the exchange neither do the thoughts. He tries to focus on Ellis' high score and having a good time with his friends, but he keeps being aware of his arm pressed against Greg's and the way that hes so close to him.
He doesnt know what's going on. He doesn't have anything to think about it that isnt jumbled and incomprehensible, so he tries to leave it for another day. He takes a breath, calming himself and the storm thats going on inside of him that's leaving him wondering and confused, and watches the car move back and forth on the road on the screen in front of him.
During it all, flashes of blue and orange keep appearing in his minds eye.
-
If theres one thing Tony had missed since getting Gregory back, its seeing Greg enjoy his art.
He'd never taken it too seriously, just drawn the Glamrocks and himself and his friends a few times, and always just for fun. But that's the point, isnt it? Tony... Tony may take his writing seriously, but that doesnt mean Greg would have to take his art seriously. That's something Tony's learned the past few months.
That you should appreciate chilling and having fun while it happens. GGY wasnt something easy to come back from. It wasnt easy to have seemingly recovered very fast from his attack and gone back to school while still grappling with what happened. Especially after it'd only taken a day or two for the real Greg to show up at his house and tell him what really happened.
The point is, Greg hasnt really touched a pencil and paper in a while. At least... not that Tony's seen.
He understands. He really does. Even Tony hadn't touched writing for a little while after... everything happened. He needed time to process everything, and writing was just never something he'd wanted to do, despite it being something he has fun with.
Greg just needed time, is all. But even Tony couldnt stay away from writing forever. He's picked it back up relatively recently. He just wishes Gregory would do.
Which is why when he goes over to Greg's house; a small apartment where he lives with Vanessa, Tony immediately is drawn to the sight of colorful paper and pencils on Greg's desk.
And on one page, two very distinct colorful characters standing next to eachother peeking under a couple other papers.
"You're drawing again." Tony says with a smile when he walks over to Greg's desk.
Gregory doesnt respond respond right away. It gives more time to Tony to just admire some of the newest art Greg's drawn obviously recently. Theres some of himself, some of people he knows, like Vanessa and even him and Ellis, one of a girl he doesnt recognize, and lots of Freddy.
But Tony's eyes keep being drawn to the orange and blue peeking out from under the more recent papers, and his right arm twitches, wanting to reach for the paper and pull it out to look at it.
It's a strange urge, one that doesn't feel quite like curiosity but has no other name Tony could put to it. It gets the better of him, and before Greg can utter a word from behind him, Tony reaches out and pulls on the corner to slip it out from under the others.
"Wait!" Greg yells from behind him. It's a little loud, and when Tony turns around, he looks a little sheepish, along with something else Tony doesnt have time to put a finger on. "Uh, which one is that?"
Tony raises a brow, but he let's his eyes fall back on the drawing of Freddy and Bonnie. He holds it out to Greg, trying to smile. "Uh, this one."
Gregory doesnt say anything, just walking up to his side and looking at the drawing himself. Theres an expression Tony cant place on Greg's face, and he cant help but feel like hes maybe done something wrong.
"I'm sorry," Tony blurts out, lowering the drawing. His brows furrow as he turns to look at Gregory. "should I have, uh, should I have not looked at your drawings without asking?"
Immediately, Gregory's shaking his head, waving a hand. "Uh. No. You're fine." He says slowly, and he's glancing at his desk and the corkboard hung above it with old and new drawings hung on it.
"I display them myself. Its..." Greg trails off, looking deep in thought for only a split second before he says, "it's... okay for you to see them."
Tony's quiet for a second, but his heads nodding and hes blinking shortly after. "Okay, good."
"Here." Greg says, coming up to him with a new small smile on his face; usually, all of Greg's smiles are small, so Tony can notice when ones real or not. This one... it's real, but also a little... nervous? Theres an undertone to it that Tony cant place, but any thoughts he could have had about it wash way when Greg's standing next to him again, bringing up the page in his hand he'd held out of sight back in view with a gentle hand. "You can see it."
Tony holds the page like its porcelain glass, his grip gentle and careful. Greg has the other side, and the paper is longways; meaning Greg's pressed against his shoulder again.
It... theres that weird feeling, again. But Tony doesnt really pay it any mind right now. He just admires the drawing Greg's offered him to see and takes in all the details.
In the soft sunlight of Gregory's window, it gives him plenty good view to see the art. Its good. Its really good. Tony knows Greg is a good artist, but... this is better than he thought it would be. Tony takes in the details, the line strokes and the color choices and even the little blocks signature in the corner of the page. He smiles instinctively.
"Its... good." He mumbles, voice quiet, but earnest. The drawing is of Freddy and Bonnie, colors bright and popping like they were on the arcade cabinet back at the Faz-Cade. This reminds him of then, Tony realizes. The drawing is similar, and... it gives him that same feeling. That same wonder if theres something else there between Freddy and Bonnie.
They're standing beside eachother, and the pose isnt as dynamic at the cabinets was. They're facing forward, but looking at eachother. They have one arm on each instrument, but the others that are in-between eachother just... hang limply. It makes Tony's brows furrow. It doesn't fit with the pose Greg was going for.
This whole time, Tony realizes, Greg had been watching his reaction. He suddenly becomes aware of Gregory looking at him and how hes holding the other side of the page and how their shoulders are pressed together. How their hands are hanging limply next to eachother. His fingers twitch and burn, and so does his face.
"You like it?" Greg is asking, and Tony tries to ignore that exact same strange feeling in his stomach he's been having to answer him. His mouth feels heavy and locked shut, and he stammers.
"Ye-Yeah!" He manages, managing to keep looking away from Greg's eyes and at the drawing in front of him. He smiles, and it's real when he says, "Its-- Its great, Greg. Its amazing."
But then Gregory is silent for a second too long, and Tony dares to glance over. It's the exact same time Gregory switches his gaze to the drawing and shifts his body.
Greg takes his hand off of the page, pushing it gently with both towards Tony's chest. Theres a smile that stretches wide across his cheeks when he says, "Its yours."
Immediately, Tony sputters. "What? But--" He gapes. "Yo-You dont have to do that--"
"Its fine." Greg cuts him off, smiling at him. Tony finds himself going quiet and staring. "I... uh... I drew it for you in the first place."
Tony gapes, unfurling the paper from his chest with a gentle grip. He takes another look at it, feeling something warm bloom in his chest. His fingers shake and tremble as he holds the paper in-between his fingers. Just, admiring it again. The orange and blue of Freddy and Bonnie.
"You did?" Tony asks, softer than silk. It's barely above a whisper.
Greg nods in front of him, smile still on his face. It dissolves into a small chuckle. "Dont act so suprised."
Tony shakes his head, whipping his head up. "I'm not!" He says, but his eyes find the drawing again quickly after. It's like hes unable to look away. The drawing... it feels different now, knowing it was made for him. "Its-- its just... really cool, Greg. I love it. I really do."
Gregory goes silent again, this time for longer than a second or two. Tony glances up, and barely catches a blank stare from Greg for a split second, like he'd been thinking about something. It's gone in an instant, and Gregory's smiling at him again, looking at him with yellow-gold eyes that seem to be shining in the light from his window.
"I'm..." He trails off. "I'm glad."
"I'll treasure it." Tony promises, holding the page closer to his face. Theres even highlights in their eyes as they look at eachother in the drawing. "I promise. I wont let anything happen to it, either."
This time, Tony looks up just in time to see Gregory smile softly, and say "I know."

Despite Bonnie being Tony's favorite, he's never actually gotten to meet him face to face.
He would be lying if he said he had liked him before his disappearance. It sounds bad, but... Tony hadnt ever cared much for the animatronic characters. It was Bonnie's sudden vanishing that caused Tony to gain interest in Fazbears brand and characters and history and why they would retire him if they meant to. And so abruptly at that.
But... after reading up and seeing all of the history and different iterations of the characters and their merch and art and brand and evolution... he maybe got a little interested.
It goes deeper than a childish interest in the animal characters, though. He... he doesn't know how to explain it. He just feels connected to Bonnie, somehow. It's not like Freddy and Gregory. They... they have something else. But it... it feels like Tony sees more in him than the other glamrock characters. To an extent, Freddy as well. But Freddy has what he has with Gregory, and Tony doesnt feel that connection with him like he does Bonnie.
Which is why he'd been excited when Bonnie had returned in the re-opening. The bowling alley has been flipped and remodeled and the art replaced and updated since hes come back, and the place is pretty packed usually, now. Bonnie performs on his stage sometimes, and will come out and mingle with guests rarely, but Tony's never gotten a chance to talk to him.
Of course, he should have known Gregory wouldnt let it stay that way for long. Not with how he still travels across the Plex behind closed doors sometimes to see the Glamrocks often.
Which is how Greg had gotten Tony into Bonnie's greenroom in-between his schedule later in the day, when not a lot of people are at Bonnie Bowl.
Of course, Greg had always known, but... his sudden action was definitely influenced by how Tony's been talking about it, recently. How he wants to be able to talk to Bonnie alone one on one. How he's always wanted to.
Its just... Tony's been looking at the drawing Greg made him a lot lately. And it keeps reminding him over and over of how it feels like theres... more to Freddy and Bonnie. Theyve been paired together since the very beginning. It feels like theres something else intangible with them that there isnt with the other characters.
They have history. Theyve always gone together, like yin and yang. Fire and ice. Red and blue.
He's... he's just always felt a connection with Bonnie.
It doesnt feel like meeting a celebrity, when Gregory ushers him with a smile into Bonnie's greenroom and shuts the curtain behind him. He doesnt feel starstruck, or like he wants an autograph. He just wants to talk to Bonnie.
Bonnie's sitting at his mirror when Tony inches in, feeling strangely nervous and anxious and fiddling with the Bonnie keychain on his backpack. Bonnies ear twitches, the one with the earring, and then hes swiveling his chair to face him.
"Ah! You must be Tony, then." Bonnie says with a smile. Tony just stays quiet when Bonnie gets up and heads over to him, his mind running wild with what exactly it is he wants to say. "Yeah, Fred and Greg told me about ya. Said you wanted to meet me. That I'm your favorite?"
Tony nods, meeting Bonnie's eyes. "Yeah, that's right."
"Well then, its nice to meet you, Tony." Bonnie says happily, holding out a hand for Tony to shake. Tony releases the keychain and takes it without another word, shaking it politely.
It's only then that Bonnie quirks a brow at him, his ears drooping a bit. Theres a small stretch of silence where nobody says anything, and Tony feels self conscious, the nerves rising up even more.
Bonnie's kneeling down to be eye level. His ears aren't pointed straight up anymore, they're more relaxed. Bonnie looks at him, looking... concerned? Curious? And he sets a hand on his shoulder.
"Alright, now." Bonnie finally says, and Tony glances back at the curtain, than at Bonnie. Bonnie fixes him with a look that's inviting and warm. "What's on your mind, Striker? I may have just met you, but Greg has told me all about ya. He told me you had questions for me and would be bombarding me with them."
Tony's shoulders droop a little more, and he feels the nerves ebb away ever so slightly when Bonnie is nothing but warm and inviting. Once again, Tony doesnt feel like hes meeting a big star. He feels like hes having a conversation with... someone he looks up to. Someone he came to ask a question.
"But you arent." Bonnie points out, not unkindly. When Tony frowns, Bonnie smiles kindly.
"You dont have to be nervous, Striker." Bonnie tells him, his voice quiet and encouraging. "Theres plenty of kids that come to us to ask us things."
"Things that..." Bonnie trails off. "they just need a little friendly advice for that they may not want to tell anyone else."
He says the end pointedly, just enough emphasis to bring it to Tony's attention. It feels so childish. It really does. It makes Tony bristle to think about, that hes a kid who needs advice, and that Bonnie already knows that. That Bonnie is using tactics he uses on young children on him. But... that's what he came for, didnt he?
It sticks out to him, though. And Tony's aware that Bonnie's tactic worked. 'Things they may not want to tell anyone else.' aka, things that Tony had wondered about in bed and at school and at the Faz-Cade when he'd think about the cabinet art or Gregorys drawing. When... when he'd felt like there was something else.
To Freddy and Bonnie. To what appears on the outside. To what there may be on the inside. To the colors orange and blue.
He opens his mouth, not quite speaking yet, and Bonnie's waiting patiently. Hes looking at him encouragingly, and Tony sighs, letting the words spill out. The big question that he's mulled over for months.
Tony takes one last glance around him, not exactly knowing why but feeling like he needs to. It feels personal, or taboo somehow. Like this needs to be kept under wraps and only for his and Bonnie's ears to hear. He grabs at his keychain again, fidgeting with it.
"Bonnie..." He manages eventually, feelings and thoughts that feel disconnected racing through his mind. The keychain gives his hands something to do, but it doesnt help much with his nerves. "Are you and Freddy... uh..."
He stammers over his words, feeling nerves fry his stomach. This is hard to say, for some reason. It feels scary. Bonnie waits, though. Still ever patient, but his head does tilt in curiosity, a quirk to his brow.
Tony opens his mouth, taking a second to continue. "Well... I just..." He trails off, and Bonnie is still looking at him. Theres a moment where Tony says nothing, and Bonnie just meets his eyes and nods, smiling.
Its okay it feels like he's saying. Tony breathes out again, and pushes past the wall he'd been hitting. "Are you two together?"
Bonnie jerks a bit, barely noticeable, but Tony had been searching for any kind of reaction, small or not. Tony watches how Bonnie's face twists in suprise for a moment, and Tony's eyes widen, his shoulders hitching up.
"I just--" He stammers, and averts his eyes when Bonnie keeps staring at him. "I notice sometimes that your promotional art has you two... uh, closer. Than the others."
Its agonizing, watching Bonnie mull over his words. His eyes twitch and look down, and it's clear he's deep in thought. Tony feels his ears burn. He feels embarrassed. It all feels scary. Why? Why does it feel like he's spilling all his deepest darkest secrets?
Tony watches carefully, holding his breath as Bonnie says nothing. He's taking his time, thinking deeply, and Tony watches Bonnie's eyes flick towards the curtain. The curtain Gregory'd promised him he'd wait for him behind.
They widen, ever so slightly, and Bonnie's eyes then look towards Tony's hands, and the keychain hes flipping between his fingers.
Bonnie stares for just a moment longer, and then he clears his throat a bit, and Tony releases the tightness in his chest when Bonnie finally responds.
"Well, Striker..." Bonnie says, voice hushed and quiet, like he's telling a secret. "Just between you and me, Freddy and I do have something going on that... may not particularly be apart of the brand characterization of us."
Tony's eyes widen. Something shoots through his chest, some sort of burning blooming feeling, and he just stares at Bonnie speechless.
There had been something going on between the lines. There had been. Just like he'd thought. Did... Does that mean that the closeness, the undertones that Tony had felt just had to be between them had been there all along? That he really was right.
But... Bonnie had said that last part with the same emphasis he'd used before, and it only just now clicks.
Tony feels something he cant place. It feels crushing, scary, like... somethings caught up to him. Like he was somehow wrong all along. Wrong about Freddy and Bonnie? Wrong about something he never ever knew why he latched onto in the first place?
"So..." He begins uncertainly, shoulders feeling heavy. He realizes he hasnt blinked this whole time, and releases the tight breath he'd been holding. His eyes flick up to Bonnie's. "The promotional art isn't any different?"
Bonnie's ears droop, and he shakes his head. Tony just looks away.
"No, buddy." Bonnie replies. He shakes him a bit, just enough to get his attention, and Tony makes himself look back at Bonnie.
He looks knowing, somehow. It makes Tony bristle. He looks like he just figured it out. But what is there to figure out? Why is Bonnie looking at him with sympathy?
Bonnie doesnt say something like Tony had been expecting him to, though. He just stands to his full height, herding Tony by his shoulders gently to go down the hallway and stand just at the mouth of the curtain. They dont go through, but stay tucked in the shadows. Tony frowns, confused.
"Might there be a reason why you saw a difference with us in the first place?" Bonnie asks, a whisper. He nudges him, and Tony, despite the confusion and how his question begins to weigh on him, joins him in peering through the gap in the curtain.
Tony's not really sure why Bonnie's brought him over here; it's just Gregory and Freddy on the other side, and Tony cant help but feel a little bit of impatient-ness mix with the confusion inside of him, because Bonnie obviously knows something that Tony doesnt and its killing him.
But any remarks over it he bites down, and he tries to decipher the reasoning himself. There obviously is one, after all.
Tony just watches, looking for whatever Bonnie may be getting at. Gregory's faced half away from the curtain, talking to Freddy about something, and he doesnt notice Tony's observing him. Tony watches Gregory's face; theres a smile that goes as wide as to crinkle the corner of his eyes, and it dissolves into laughter soon after. He looks amused, like the funniest joke in the world was just told, and Freddy laughs heartily next to him.
Theres that weird feeling in his chest that been eating away at him again. The one he always gets around Greg and if he gets to looking at the drawing he gave him. The one of Freddy and Bonnie. Or if he remembers the cabinet art.
Tony just watches. He watches and is aware that Gregory barely ever smiles like that and that it makes his eyes sparkle, and it's like the gold in them shimmers even more. How it curves around his cheeks and even after it dissipates a bit, the contentment is still there. He watches him speak and how it flashes his teeth and his home-cut, shaggy hair kinda falls over his face like a curtain and he has to brush it out of the way with a hand. Theres the scar on his face that travels up his jaw and the sharpness to his eyes and the curve of his nose and--
Oh.
Oh.
He's long let go of the Bonnie keychain by now, but now, it weighs heavy on him. Suddenly he's all too aware of its presence, and Gregory's Freddy backpack that Tony can see on his back through the gap of the curtain.
Flashes of the cabinet art at the Faz-Cade and Gregory's drawing run laps through his mind. It makes sense, now. His mind is so jumbled he cant get a thought through, but he still knows what they're all saying. He feels it.
Freddy and Bonnie, the two always paired together that Tony saw a certain closeness between. Bonnie, who had always been Tony's favorite. Freddy, who is Greg's favorite. Who he draws all the time and has bonded with and who he's connected with.
Tony's always felt connected to Bonnie.
"Oh." Tony says outwardly, barely louder than a whisper. His voice cracks in the middle.
Bonnie tries to squeeze his shoulder, to open his mouth and say something, but Tony gently shoves him off, walking out of his hold and stumbling closer the curtain.
"Im--" He stammers, not knowing what to think. "I'm sorry, Bonnie. I-- thank you for this, but--" He sighs out, and it feels a little wet. He ignores Bonnie's worried expression and pushes open the curtain with one arm. "Ive-- I've got to go."
Bonnie doesn't try to stop him. He doesnt yell for him, ask him to wait, nothing. Tony appreciates it. Maybe that knowing look hed given him means he understands.
"Hey." Greg greets him on the outside, just like he said he would. Hes smiling, Freddy backpack still on his shoulders, but it drops a bit when he sees his face.
"Tony?" He asks, softer and less enthusiastic. "Are you--"
"I'm fine." Tony cuts him off, ignoring the guilt curling in his stomach when he walks past both Greg and Freddy. He needs-- he can't think right now. He doesnt know what to do. "Im-- I'm okay. I uh, just think im gonna go home."
Theres no response for a second until Greg goes "Oh." Its a little flat, and one hundred percent sounds disappointed and worried all in one. The guilt gets worse. "Are you--"
"I'm okay." Tony insists, and the tightness in his chest and rapidness of his thoughts dont go away. Greg doesnt get to ask again, because Tony's almost running away, now.
He can feel Greg and Freddys eyes on his back as he leaves Bonnie Bowl, not knowing how to feel.
-
Tony hasnt told Gregory.
How is he supposed to? He-- he hasnt even processed it himself. He doesnt know what to think or how to feel. He doesnt like not being able to think.
Every time he tries, it all gets jumbled and his brain twists in knots. He doesnt need to think to know. To know what it all meant and that he'd always felt this way. Since he'd gotten to know the real Greg.
That those moments where he and Gregory would be close where he'd have those weird feelings were because he liked him. He still does. He likes him. A lot.
He likes him and he'd-- Tony had always seen more in Bonnie and Freddy because he saw more in him and Gregory. Its always been that way. He's always felt closer to Greg. He's... he's the Freddy to his Bonnie.
The thought makes Tony's brain freeze up again. He blinks, feeling his arms burn from being sprawled out on the bed and holding them up for so long. He groans, long and drawn out, feeling lost.
His stomach does somersaults and his face burns when he looks at the drawing again. He's stared at it a lot already. Not only today, but since he got it. Its felt... special, to him. Now he knows why. That this drawing Greg gifted him always felt like it held something deeper. Something that... only Tony saw. That no one else would.
He grips the paper with his fingers, staring longingly at the art. It feels like hes getting a headache, lying flat on his back and straining his arms just to hold the drawing up in the air. He stares at the pencil lines and the colors and how Freddy and Bonnie's shoulders are pressed together and their hands are still awkwardly limp from where they fall by their waists.
Tony frowns, always feeling off about that part. It never fit in correctly. It never felt intentional. Not like everything about Gregory's art always has. It had always left Tony wondering. Like how he had with the feeling in his stomach and Freddy and Bonnie's official art.
He sighs, his arms drooping slightly from the strain. Today was a school day, and Tony hadn't gone with Greg to his house like he usually does. He's barely talked to him since his exchange with Bonnie. He doesn't want to avoid, him, he just... doesnt know what to say.
He doesnt know if he should tell him. Tony has always felt that he and Greg felt different, but he has no idea if Gregory does. Tony had been wrong about it being intentional in the art at the Plex. He'd created it himself because he saw himself in it. He doesnt want to-- to mess things up with Greg. He doesnt want Gregory to have never felt the same.
His brows furrow and he frowns as he readies himself to leave it for today, like he usually does. He takes a last long look at the drawing, eyeing Freddy and Bonnie's hands again, and how they look forced and awkward, and starts to drop his arms.
It's the afternoon, and the sun is setting and just at the right position to shine through his blinds and onto his bed. The blinds are almost fully shut, but the sun peeks through the cracks, shining on the back of the paper and highlighting the details of the drawing.
Tony wouldnt have paid it any mind if it hadn't revealed something hes never seen, never, about the drawing he's spent so long looking at.
He does a double take. Then a triple. Then some more for good measure. He blinks, and scrambles up on his arms to sit upright so he can see it better.
His eyes widen, and his stomach feels floaty. The same feeling from the cabinet art and when he and Greg will sit close to eachother at lunch and let their shoulders and knees touch or, stand closer to eachother than they should blooms in his stomach.
The sun, shining bright and golden through his window, illuminates the blank paper space adjacent to Freddy and Bonnie's hands in Gregory's drawing. They're bending awkwardly, out of the way, and it gives him room to see the faded lines besides Freddy and Bonnie's hands.
It starts from the wrist and the lines show up even through the marker Greg had used to color their hands with. It fits, Tony thinks, with the pose. With the original pose. This way, it doesnt feel forced or awkward. It looks like how it had intended to be from the start.
Because with the sun shining behind it and showing through the color and pen that had carefully covered it up, Tony sees faded pencil lines that before, had connected Freddy and Bonnie's hands.
His face becomes warm, and he just looks, feeling something blooms in his chest. Hope? Disbelief? Excitement? His brain short circuits and he's only feeling right now. He feels how sparks are flying in his stomach and it feels a little less impossible than before.
I... uh... I drew it for you in the first place.
This is how it had always been intended. For Freddy and Bonnie to be holding hands. Theres nothing else it could have been. It had always been unintentional in the Plex art. Always just created from Tony's own relation. But this... Greg wanted this. He wanted to draw Freddy and Bonnie holding hands and for that closeness to be more than an undertone. More than intangible.
Tony feels breathless. His arms and hands shake, and the paper in front of him shakes along with it. He doesnt care, though. The sun is still illuminating what Greg had intended in his drawing all along, the drawing he made for him, and Tony feels less unsure than before. He feels like maybe he isnt alone in feeling this way at all.
-
The next day, after a long night and day at school, Tony goes with Greg to his house.
The drawing sits heavy in his backpack. unfolded unfolded because he'd never want to crease it and he doesnt want the pencil lines to suddenly disappear, either. He handles it like porcelain glass, like itll slip through his fingers if he let's it go too much.
Even Ellis had noticed him acting weird, and Tony noticed Greg looking at him concerned from the corner of his eye. He knows why. He's been distant lately. But... at school today, Tony hadn't felt afraid of Greg. Of messing things up with him. He'd felt the warmth spread through his face and his stomach and fireworks go off and his face stretch in a grin when he'd seen him the first time that day. And he'd felt it times ten all over again when Greg had smiled back.
He wont lose him. Tony knows this. He'd spend all night and all day mulling it over. Greg feels the same. He'd felt the closeness like I had. He'd.. he erased it. He was scared, like I am now.
It feels different, walking into Greg's room. He hasnt been there in a couple days, but it feels almost similar to when he'd walked into Bonnie's greenroom. He knows now that it had been because he knew, deep down. It felt like he was about to confess something then. He pretty much had, saying that Bonnie and Freddy were together out loud.
It's not as far down, anymore. It's not buried underneath characterization branding and pencil lines and marker strokes and only revealed if the light hits it right. It wont stay under wraps. Not after today.
Tony becomes hyper aware of the bag on his back immediately after the door closes on them. Greg walks into his room first, slinging his bag off of his back and kicking his shoes off and talking about watching something, together, or writing like they always do, but Tony isnt listening. He's just balling up the hem of his green corduroy jacket in his hands and staring at the carpet and thinking about the colors orange and blue.
"Tony?" Greg asks him. Tony startles, looking up at Greg. Hes sitting on the edge of his bed, with concern etched on his face. "Are you okay?"
Tony opens his mouth, but theres no words on his tongue. He stands there silently for a moment, and he thinks about the drawing again. He knows it's time. The sun is peeking through Greg's blinds. His backpack and the knowledge that the drawing is inside and his Bonnie keychain weigh on him.
His eyes flick for a split second to Greg's backpack and his sneakers, and then he clears his throat, his mouth feeling dry. "Greg, can I show you something?"
Gregory tilts his head, looking a little worried. He jerks, patting the bed beside him. "Uh, yeah, of course."
Tony swings his own backpack off of his shoulders as he makes his way next to Gregory, but its gentler. Careful about the easily crinkleable paper inside. Pencil lines that have already been attempted to be erased.
It only fully sets in when he sits down next to Gregory on the bed, and he chose to sit close enough that their arms are flush against eachother and Tony's face gets warm. He doesnt fight it. He just unzips his backpack and carefully reaches in, grabbing ahold of the corner with light fingers.
He pulls it out, and Gregory looks suprised next to him, if not also a little but confused. Tony's face is still warm, and his fingers shake and tremble, and he turns his neck to face Gregory.
They're really close like this, and Tony's eyes widen and he has to fight to not look away. His heart hammers a hundred miles an hour in his chest, but he keeps his gaze on Greg's eyes. Gold meets blue, and they stay staring at eachother. Tony hopes deeply that Gregory gets the hint. That he understands.
Nothing, yet. Not a peep. Just a silent moment. Theres closeness now, Tony thinks. Closeness that feels carefully not one sided. That feels mutual. So after another moment, he forces himself to look away, pointing the paper at the wall and smoothing out the corners. Gregory follows his movements, still having not made a sound.
Tony doesnt, either. He just holds the paper up to the window on Greg's wall, or rather the beams of golden light shining through it, and just like how it did in Tony's room, it illuminates the pencil lines around the white of the paper.
Lines that had been hidden. That are being revealed now, brought to the surface because Gregory didnt have to be afraid. Becuase its mutual. It feels less like it was erased, now, and more like it was drawn in invisible ink. Blank to the naked eye, but the two of them know. Greg knows, he has to. He hid it himself. And Tony... well, Tony wasnt crazy for feeling that there was something between the lines all this time, has he? Not when there literally have been.
Tony looks at it for a moment, feeling like it's all being brought up to the surface. He feels connected to Gregory, right now. Like this isnt some big reveal. That its just an acknowledging of feelings. I know. Tony's trying to say. I always have, and now I know that you did, too.
He moves his gaze to Greg, who's staring wide eyed but almost blank faced at the paper. His lips are parted slightly, but other than that, he just looks... shocked. Suprised.
Scared
Tony's scared, too. But not in the way Greg is. Tony's nervous, and afraid, and excited, but Greg doesnt know if Tony knows. If he thinks the closeness is mutual.
He does.
He takes the leap, fire in his chest and on his face and sparks flying from where Greg's shoulder is pressed against his. "Maybe..." He begins, slow and quiet. He looks at Greg, meeting his eyes, and he points a finger at the lines that originally portrayed hands laced together. "...Bonnie and Freddy would like to hold hands. You know, like... in the promotional art".
Theres a fleeting moment of silence where Tony's words just hang in the air. Like in the promotional art, because Tony knows Gregory noticed, too. He knows he felt the same connection Tony had. He knows that he knows. He sets the paper down in his lap, no longer feeling like its needed. His hand lies on his leg, carefully positioned in-between them, like Greg's is.
Then, Greg stops looking so scared, and he meets Tony's eyes. The sun from his window makes them shine like gold, and Tony keeps ahold of his gaze. He hopes desperately that those few words were enough, that a moment like this that cant be shattered by big declarations gets across.
But then, Greg breaks from his eyes first, looking downwards, and Tony follows his gaze.
"Like in the promotional art." Gregory agrees. Tony watches as Gregorys hand twitches, and no matter how slow or agonizing, it moves to lace together with Tonys.
Tony doesnt dare smile, or laugh, or make a peep. He doesnt dare shatter the moment. His chest blooms and explodes with sparks and fireworks, and he knows. He knows that its requited. That Gregory knows, as well. That orange and blue go good together and that he was never wrong about there being something else there.
His head whips up from their hands to look at Greg's face again, and Gregory is looking at him already. Theres red on his face, too, like Tony knows there is on his own. Tony dares to use his thumb to brush against Greg's hand, and Gregory's eyes dart downwards for just a moment, before meeting his again.
Then, without a word, Greg smiles slowly. It's big and it stretches across his cheeks and crinkles his eyes at the corners. And Tony let's a grin appear on his own face.
The drawing sits in his lap, and a ray of sunshine continues to showcase the faded indents of pencil drawing laced together hands. Tony squeezes once, then twice, and shifts his hold to be tighter and more secure. Greg does the same.

joining the guardians of the galaxy and falling in love with peter and gamora.
you were a princess on your home planet, elegant and beautiful but still trained for battle. deadly when needed.
unfortunately before you can take your rightful place on the throne you're betrayed by your sister and your planet is destroyed, leaving you with no option but to flee and eventually end up dealijg with the wrong people.
so here you are, being held captive and in servitude by some royal dickhead with a weirdly shaped head who has hired some "galatically renowned assholes" to retrieve something stolen from him that he stole first.
maybe it would have worked in his favor if two of the group members (who you had to admit were a pair of the hottest creatures youd ever seen) hadn't been observing and taken a liking to you during their stay, the paler one admiring your hidden kindness despite your situation and the green one who looked at you with understanding when you told her about your sister.
when their stay after completing their job ended the dickhead invited them to his throne room, ready to give them their payment. but he was, as stated, a dickhead, so he was actually planning to gun them down and make amends with the guy he just stole from. but you'd heard his loud mouth blabbering about his plan to one of his troops in his room.
before his guards can even blast their guns the guardians haven already struck them down, leaving you to dispose of the king with a fake smile and a blast to the head.
after that, you're basically a member of the team. peter and gamora cant really hide their attraction to you, and rocket and drax admire your strength and willingness to dispose of those who have wronged you. groot is just taking his first steps and you think he's adorable and coddle him every chance you get, and he likes the attention. you're a perfect fit.
the couple are thinking the same. they havent put a label to their relationship, but know they have feelings for each other and you as well.
its the little things, bonding with gamora over your lost cultures and family problems, how you felt like since your familys betrayals you were alone in the universe until you met each other this team.
one thing she likes to keep a secret between the two of you is her insistence on the two of you trying a new dish and drink when you visit a planet. if anyone asks she'll act like she does it out of your begging, but she will wait at your door and stare at you when you dont head out into the market with her.
peter introduces you to earth music and will happily say he falls a little in love with you when you immediately take a liking to it. if you like singing you'll sing along to the tunes every chance you get, and will pull him up with you to dance during down time traveling through space.
after the trauma he's been through, i think he would deal with nightmares every other week. you were the second person he told about it after gamora, and since she preferred solitude at night he didnt want to pressure her into helping him when she was dealing with her own problems. (doesnt mean there wasnt the rare night where she would calmly go into his room at the sounds of his whimpers and whisper to him and run her hands through his hair until he soothed into a peaceful sleep.)
but if its been a rather rough day and he felt stressed out, you wouldnt even need him to ask before you were climbing into his bed and cuddling him from behind, reassuring him that you and the team believe in and care for him deeply. that he's safe when you're there. peter thinks those are some of his best nights of rest.
after a mission gone wrong nearly kills you, the pair know they cant keep dodging their feelings. its late at night when the rest of the team have gone to sleep when they sit at the table in the middle of the communal/eating area, just having finished eating some dessert you had previously picked up with gamora on a market trip and talking and laughing with the two.
after the stress of nearly losing you and the smile on your and gamoras faces, peter cant help but blurt out his feelings for you. your faces are in shock, and its in the middle of peter ranting and trying to backtrack that you grab both sides of his face from across the table and connect your lips.
when peter told stories of his past frequent sexual escapades, you were at first amused while slightly disgusted, but a small part of you was also intrigued. luckily that part wasn't dissapointed, because he reciprocates the kiss like his life depends on it.
the kiss is so good it makes you light-headed, but no matter whats happening around you, you could never ignore the small noises of annoyance gamora lets out, breaking the kiss and turning to her clearly upset but trying to hide it face. she looks away as if to keep her dignity, but when you slide your chair to the side with a smile to keep eye contact, she mentally damns you both and kisses you before doing the same with peter.
its the morning after, your messy-haired self exiting gamoras room while wearing peters shirt early in the morning while heading to the bathroom when you bump into rocket, heading to get an early start on a new invention
"called it. keep it sown next time, would ya?" he walks away, cackling at your flustered face as you hurry into the bathroom.
you rest your back across the door and smile to yourself. you loved these assholes.
.
hello i need more starmora x reader content at once pretty pleaseeee

Things that I appreciate about 13th era that I never see talked about:
Jodie doing a Lunar New Year video
Everyone in Sea Devils being cast respectfully to their/the characters ethnicity, not just going "well they're Asian so close enough". (+ the director was British-Chinese)
Thirteen wearing a gorgeous (masculine) cheongsam jacket - my heart SANG when I saw that, that's how you do cultural exchange/appreciation correctly, I'm still on cloud nine about it.
Bel is so fucking cool. "Love is the mission" is a banger line.
The show has a history of being genuinely racist towards East Asians and generally ignoring/erasing us so I treasure Chibs' era for this, I felt so seen and included for the first time.
This is the great thing about the Chibnall era people who hadn't really seen themselves in the show before got to, and they adore the episodes where they see that rep, like the Sea Devils or TTC where lots of people who were adopted saw themselves. I think thats a beautiful thing, and something I appreciated about the era, it doesnt need to be something I see myself in I just love that lots of different people got to see themselves.
But honestly its seems like the wider fandom can never praise anything that they cant personally see them, they would rather drag it down and pretend theres nothing good there.
Also I think the show was really trying to be more open to everyone and bring more people in and do things right and get the right people in the room to make the stories etc. Maybe they didn't always get it right but I believe they were always trying, and you can't ask for much more then that because thats how people get better at these things, by doing them even if they have a mis-steps and then learning and trying again..
I'm really glad 13 era who tried to go further than just British history, so more people could see themselves in the show and have the show explore their history. There are so many other countries with rich and interesting histories! Hopefully Legend of the Sea Devils is only the first episode exploring Asia and the wider region and not the last!

hey remember the
Tumblr media
yeah tht.
so we either have seen three eps of the total genloss saga, or, as i believe, one.
since what we just saw was generation loss: the social experiments. tse. and since that's the only one thats labelled, that must be what we saw. ofc hiccups bc a vhs tape can only have about 2hrs of footage on it, and there were more like four hours of total gl. still! we can only wait and see.
plus. i didn't want to divie up posts again and due to. complications. wont be able to add this to my gl masterpost. so!
nex theory.
Tumblr media
see those spike boys?
see the bottom edge of that box? none of that is long enough to actually hurt him.
i mean that might be just so, irl, it wouldn't actually hurt him.
BUT ITS ALSO POSSIBLE
that showfall didn't actually kill him.
he was their hero after all.
they're not going to let him go that easily.
and we've seen w/ sneeg and charlie and such that showfall can fake deaths (or possibly even brings them back(?)) with relative ease.
it wouldn't be a surprise at all if they brought him back without our input.
we've seen before w/ showfall that choice is an illusion
and that we're as much in this game as ranboo is.
(like when i nearly cried myself to sleep last night remembering how b!boo hadn't trusted us with the color codes like we don't see what you see, yes, but we see everything else we understand your predicament you just dont understand ours we saved your life like one, two, three, four times by then maybe mroe we care for you you're our little blorbo we want the best for you even when you cant see our words but lets just forget about that, no,; we're watching this bc you're there no othre reason, if this was really really real we would have got you out by now bc your pain is ours; but no, you can trust the stranger with the masks and cameras and obvious lies, you cant trust youre own fans we literlly know you better than you know yourself WHY CANT YOU EUNDERSTAND)

warnings: hateful acts, all against all, people (avengers) taking sides, mean reader
Sometimes, when Y/N went to the Tower, the atmosphere was not as uncomfortable as she imagined. She could even say that she didn't have such a bad time, but it still wasn't one of her favorite places. It was times like those that she could remember why she preferred the solitude of the Complex to the uptight fraternity of the Tower.
“Ah, that mission really was a disaster,” Sam Wilson was telling some story in the middle of the kitchen island, most of the group gathered around him, a huge scowl on his face, barely noticing a fidgeting Steve Rogers. Y/N occasionally returned to the conversation, too much on her mind at the moment.
“I don't think I've ever seen Fury so angry,” Tony Stark spoke next to her, sipping his coffee stretched out on the uncomfortable kitchen chairs.
“We spent about… what, two weeks in penance?” Natasha Romanoff shook her head, a grimace on her face as she remembered Fury's reprimand and the days following that terrible mission, as she approached Y/N with a green drink in her clear acrylic cup.
“And Fury's penances are to be feared. I don't think it ever occurred to me to be that reckless again,” Sam looked back at Y/N, reminding her with a glance that the topic of conversation had turned thanks to her, when she came into the kitchen along with Natasha and they decided the best topic of conversation was last week's disastrous mission. Sam may have wanted to be benevolent and show understanding, but she really couldn't care less.
“I wasn't reckless,” Y/N lifted her shoulders, absently sipping from the glass Natasha had reached for, sitting next to her with an amused expression.
“I second that,” the redhead waved her glass in Y/N's direction, earning a sidelong glance from Steve on the other side from the kitchen doorway.
“You weren't because it was avoided,” Sam mimicked her gesture, leaning against the kitchen counter with his arms folded across his chest, his drink forgotten on the kitchen island.
“If it wasn't reckless what they decided to do, why in the same way do we have a veto?”
Sam didn't answer her, just as she expected, and barely smiled at Natasha as she clinked her glass against hers in a silent toast. The atmosphere in the kitchen had become somewhat tense, and for the first time she was pleased that Tony hadn't intruded on the conversation. Perhaps he was more in agreement with her than he would want to accept.
“If you're done,” Steve finally spoke up, standing in the doorway with tense shoulders, sending a hard glare at the redhead and Y/N, “Sam and I have to go.”
Wilson exhaled gruffly, grabbing his mug rinsing it in the dishwasher before following in the Captain's quick footsteps, not before sending a glare at the rest of those present in the kitchen.
“You don't know when to be quiet,” Tony spoke after a few seconds, as the sound of the elevator doors closing reached their ears. “That's why I like you so much.”
“It was obvious Wilson would side with Barnes, but I didn't think he'd be so openly against you,” Natasha moved to occupy the space next to Tony at the counter, right where Falcon had been a few minutes earlier. Natasha looked disgruntled, genuinely interested to know what was going on with Wilson, but Tony next to her was the manifestation of quite the opposite, with the corner of his lips cocked to one side and a bored gesture.
“Sam thinks it's my fault. He finds it impossible to believe that two people as righteous as Rogers and Barnes could do something so wrong,” Y/N replied, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Besides it hasn't been the same between us since what happened that time,” Tony tilted his head, blinking rapidly as if trying to rush the memories out. “They still hate us.”
“They hate me,” Y/N corrected him, earning an incredulous look from both of them instantly. Natasha frowned.
“You didn't do anything wrong, and they demonize us for being on your side. But some other people on this team have done worse,” the redhead tossed the comment into the air, and it seemed that the memories came very easily to each of them.
“Whatever it is, I couldn't care less,” Y/N stood up, taking the now empty glass and rinsing it in the dishwasher.
Natasha knew she was about to leave, so she broke away from the counter and changed the topic of conversation.
“Do you want us to make change?”
Y/N looked at the redhead with a bored expression. There was the possibility of requesting a change of mission with any team member once a month, and since it was just the beginning of November the shifts had been restarted. Last month Y/N had requested a change with Natasha because she was sure she couldn't spend too much time around her partner without wanting to hang him with her bare hands. She hadn't had any more missions with him up to that point and had the opportunity in front of her to avoid it, but this time she didn't want to take that option. She had a feeling something worse was coming.
“No, I'll be fine.”
“Do you think you can spend more than twenty-four hours with Scott?”
“He's stupid, irritating and annoying, but you guys know there are worse things in this life.”
“Worse things like the unmentionable?”
It was impossible to miss the look Natasha automatically shot Tony, which Y/N was sure if she had been standing next to him she would've elbowed the air out of him.
“Yeah, Tony, you're a genius,” Y/N rolled her eyes, grabbing her cell phone next to Natasha and moving to leave the kitchen.
But just when she thought she could have an enjoyable and uneventful day at the Tower, without this kind of incident, Barnes appeared just inside the entrance and it was instantaneous change in the mood. She even noticed Natasha and Tony stirring in their positions as if they were finding it hard to breathe amidst all the tension.
“Ah, you again.”
Y/N wasn't going to be the one to move to let Barnes in and judging by the look on his face it seemed he wasn't either. That was the way it was every time.
“You were also the last person I expected to see, actually.”
She'd seen that attempt at a carefree expression on Barnes' face a hundred times, but it didn't go unnoticed the way he tried to hide his quickened breathing or the indiscreet way he moved his eyes all over her face. His heavy, deep breathing almost convinced her of his disinterest, but she noticed the small changes and movements in his chest. It was impossible that after so long he could hide anything from her. Maybe that was why he was trying to convince himself that he hated her, because try as he might he couldn't figure her out after all that had happened like she could him.
But that was irrelevant. Barnes had long since ceased to be anyone in her life.
“Move,” was what she said, even though a couple of other things went through her head just to annoy him.
“You move,” he retorted, adopting a more relaxed posture.
Her blood boiled, almost certain that the veins in her forehead could be seen at that distance from how hard she was trying to hold back because just the sight of him was enough to upset all the chemistry in her body that deeply detested him.
With her dark gaze that she was sure could cut into his skin if it were physically possible, Y/N raised one of her hands to rest it on one of Barnes' shoulders, catching him completely off guard because he was surely expecting a hateful response that would incite an argument, as it did sometimes happen.
But Y/N wasn't in the mood for that, as many times. The times she took the time to argue with Barnes was when she had too much anger inside that she felt she had to take it out on something or she was going to implode.
So Barnes let his guard down completely, his bored expression changing to complete stupefaction and surprise, looking at her face and then her hand on his left shoulder. He looked like he wanted to say something, but the words were stuck in his throat.
Y/N understood at that moment the expression “like a fish out of water”.
It was at that moment of greatest cluelessness that Y/N used her hand to push the man who was almost twice her height. Barnes moved as if he were a leaf in the middle of a gale, a little use of her strength was enough to send the distracted man to the ground.
With the noise muffled by his clothes, Y/N walked past him as if nothing extraordinary had happened, with the restrained laughter of her companions behind her and Barnes' gaze following her until the elevator doors closed.

Some speculation I have for the next episode!
Yes I'e been having a lot of speculation and maybe (most likely) i'll be wrong but its just some fun ideas I've been having
I talked about this with @buck-up-buck and she is a prophet (check out her posts here to see her vision-with a small contribution from me about the AA meeting being a thing) she has some theories that happen after this theory of mine which I'm excited for her to share with you all as she see's the shrimp colours.
And so with what we've seen in the promo, the still that Tim has shared (I have brightened it so it can be a bit clearer) here's what I think will happen. Especially in this still
Tumblr media
So firstly the order of events I believe will be the AA meeting then the Bathena conversation and then the motel drama, just as we are shown in the promo. There will be other things sprinkled in but the next two eps will be very Bobby centric. So when i saw this still i immediately thought of the following ideas/spec:
So Amir makes his speech at the AA meeting, it slowly dawns on Bobby the connection they share and obviously this sends Bobby mentally spiralling. It's been 10 years since the fire and Bobbys come far but hearing from someone who he affected by his past actions is definitely going to stir up shit (duh). I feel like we may get some flashbacks to the fire, maybe even Amir's perspective (how he got his scars) because our boy Amir is angry (you saw his stare, seeing bobby has reignited his fire). I feel like Bobby may attempt to speak to him after but Amir is angry and storms out or Bobby is in shock and cant say anything.
We then see the conversation with Bathena. It looks like Athena was asleep and Bobby hadn't come to bed yet. Athena woke up and came looking for Bobby to find him hunched over his laptop going into a bit of a dive on Amir and who he was and who he lost. Athena maybe talks to him about it and Bobby is very much adamant on making amends (Step 9). Athena wants to support him but the sergeant in her is concerned at this guy. So she supports him in the moment but hatches her own little plan.
And here is where we see the still (it's clearly at the hospital)
Athena has found out where this guy works and goes to speak to him. Amir is just finishing his shift when Athena catches him. She introduces her self and that she's Bobby's wife. Amir is immediately angered by this but keeps himself calm, only showing annoyance. Athena talks about how she knows who he is through Bobby and that she's sorry for Amir's loss. She expresses concern for how he raised the issue to Bobby and asks that they can work towards making amends. She says that Bobby has come so far to turn his life around (gives examples of what Bobby has accomplished. Captain of the 118, his new family with her and the steps he has taken in recovery) and all he wants to do is carry on moving forward. She doesn't want this incident to cause Bobby to fall of the wagon, they've been through a lot and she's concerned (she also getting alarm bells from this guys so is trying to gauge his intent whilst also trying to clear the air)
I think this angers Amir, again he wont show it but it sparks something in him further than what has already been sparked. He starts scheming (@buck-up-buck's theories about the loft burning down hehe) I feel like he'll make some comment to Athena about how he's glad Bobby could move on so easily whilst everyone else was left cleaning up the mess(throw back to the comment he made to Maddie) Obviously Athena defends her husband and says something like "it was far from easy, he clawed his way out of the darkest place and fought tooth and nail to get where he is now. If he can do it so can you." cause Athena has clocked that this guy is massively holding a grudge.
But Amir doesn't want to hear it and maybe just says something like 'Good for him' before walking away from the conversation.Amir is angry because its been 10 years and he's still affected by the fire, he hasn't let go of the pain and the hurt (as he mentioned in his speech) but now seeing that the guy who caused it has a new family, that he's moved on and is happy, is captain of a firehouse (irony not lost on him) and Amir has been left scared and hurt and his life hasn't bounced back just absolutely fuels his revenge plan.
Athena tells Bobby that she tried to reason with Amir but there was no reasoning with him and that he's very angry still. She tells Bobby she knows he needs to make amends and he should but also says he should be careful and wait for him to calm down a bit first and that whatever he does he shouldn't do it alone. Bobby of course listens and agrees but also he understands Amir better than anyone and thinks he can get through to him (remember Bobby is shook up by this whole thing and won't make the smartest decisions) so when Amir reaches out and asks Bobby to meet at the Easy Motel, Bobby does go and then, Amir starts his revenge
Amir wants Bobby to suffer again like he did (he doesn't acknowledge that Bobby did loose everything in that fire, he's to blinded by his own grief and mad that Bobby has a shiny new life and seems unbothered by his past to listen to reason) he wants to rip Bobby's family away from him, saying he doesn't deserve a second chance.

i finished season 2 of 9-1-1 last night, here’s my thoughts:
athena and her family are so important to me. i love them so much and i love how quickly they accepted bobby into the family (except for athena's parents). bobby is going to be a great stepfather, and I love the relationship between him and michael. bobby and athena's relationship is adorable, i love them and i love the way they talk to each other. the sudden engagement and wedding were a bit wild ngl, but damn bobby knows what he wants!!! bobby's struggle with addition and with the grief of what he lost is so important to me. him telling athena that he's struggling to stay on the wagon after eating those brownies is so important to me. i love him.
maddie buckley you are the love of my life, want to get married?? she is so brave and so cool and so strong and i LOVE LOVE LOVE her relationship with buckley and chimney. her growth throughout the show, the confidence she gained in doing her job. one of the lines that still flies around my head is "help is not coming". she is genuinely so great. i loved the episodes centered around doug finding her, she fought so much. and the scene where she gets back up and stumbles through the forest and buck finds her and runs and jumps over stones and shit to get to her is truly one of my all time favourite scenes. as an older sibling that shit is so beautiful to me. buck and maddie love each other so much. it ruined me ngl
chimney is such a fucking hero. i love him. he's a fantastic friend and somehow managed to save the fucking day while on sick leave. if he hadn't checked the news and hadn't called his team and then called tommy to ask for help with the fires, that whole neighbourhood would probably be gone. i love him so much. he is so patient and kind with maddie. he loves her so much but he also respects her and her boundaries, no questions asked. he is just such an amazing character and i love him and i love his friendship with hen, they are truly besties4life!!!
hen. idk how to put into words how much i love her and how much her being a lesbian and having a family means to me. her recording that audio message while stuck in that hotel in the earthquake episode broke me. she loves her family so much. eva hurt her so much and she could have just let her die, but instead she did her job and helped her. her selflessness and compassion is so amazing. her hen begins episode is wonderful i miss her and athena having more scenes together though
buck is going through it with his relationships this season. he clearly has abandonment issues, he clings to his thing with abby way longer than necessary out of a sense of guilt or gratitude and simply because he believes that he cant find someone else that likes him for him. and then taylor goes buck 1.0 on him (deserved!!) and then ali dates him for a while (wish we had seen more of that, instead of time jumps) but as soon as he gets grievously injured drops the bomb on him that she doesn't know how to be with him while he has this job, the job that means everything to him. he's a workaholic and needs therapy, this much is clear. he loves maddie and watching him realise in real time that his sister and his coworker like each other was HILARIOUS. his relationship with eddie..... no words. and he LOVES chris. and i love his friendship with carla!!
eddie diaz i am a lesbian and i am in love with you. the introduction.... alright gay ass. he is just there and hot and competent and buck gets all angry over it LMFAO. the fact that he was still a probie during all of season 2 is wild, that man is so smart and quick at his job. him literally spider-manning up a building to save that boy??? jesus. i love him and i love his love for chris. he clearly loves being a father so much and puts chris before everything. his partnership with buck at work and friendship outside of it is everything to me. they are bonded for life. his character arc and getting to know him this season was beautiful. i loved shannon but it was clear they would have only stayed together for the kid(s). he wasn't sure of anything until she mentioned she thought she was pregnant again. the fact that he got her back, only for her to want a divorce when he had just told her he wanted to be a family again and then her immediately dying.... that man goes through so much shit. also FUCK his family. dude had to bury his wife and mother of his son and they're trying to uproot him. i love him i love him i love him. he is such a good dad and so good at his job and he deserves the world.
the earthquake episodes were amazing, i loved having them all react to this one thing from all different sides instead of 5 different emergencies in one episodes. the hen/chimney begins and the bobby begins again episodes were so important to understand the characters and their relationships to each other. chimney losing kevin. i kinda saw that coming but still. and hen having to deal with all that shit as soon as she got to work at the 118, only for chimney to immediately try to adopt her as his friend. i love them. bobby was fucking amazing at showing the 118 that he was a great captain once he got there, i love understanding more of his story. he is a great captain. he might not go to therapy but at least he talks to the priests, which seems to help him a lot and thats all that matters.
ALSO THOSE TWO OLD GAYS THAT HAD SPENT THEIR ENTIRE LIVES TOGETHER AND WHEN THE ONE DIED THE OTHER DIED SHORTLY AFTER WHILE HOLDING HIS HUSBANDS HAND WAS SO FUCKIGN BEAUTIFUL AND HEARTBREAKING I LOVED IT IM GONNA CRY I LOVE SEEING OLDER GAYS ON TV
also that scene at the end where civilians help life the truck off of buck's legs....crying.
hope i didnt forget anything! i currently have a headache, likely from always staying up late watching this fucking show.
bye

Alright y'all it's day 5! It's time for more talk of the gods and the wonderful people who voice them. This voice actor needs no introduction because I've talked about them so much, but I shall introduce them anyway! Today we're talking Aphrodite and the wonderful @totcoc0a
Aphrodite as you might already know is the goddess of love (among other things). In myths, Aphrodite is forcibly married off to Hephaestus in order to stop people from fighting over her. Aphrodite, however, isn't pleased with this arrangement and cheats on Hephaestus with Ares. I wanted to turn that story on its head and give them both more agency, similar to things that had been done with the myth of Hades and Persephone. Aph and Ares being friends who were forced into a marriage just made sense with this idea, giving them the ability to find other partners without adultery as they didn't actually want to be married. I also wanted to explore Aphrodite as demiromantic in this story. She's the goddess of love and is always pictured as desirable, but what of her desires? Her trying to create strong bonds before falling in love felt fitting to her as a character and was something that I hadn't seen explored before so I decided I'd do it myself.
As mentioned up top, Aphrodite is being played but the incredible Tatiana Gefter! I met Tot last year when she auditioned for my other show, @thefringespod. They fully knocked their audition out of the park and became the show's Marigold (another love goddess, I swear I'm not typecasting you Tot). When I started to turn this idea from a book idea to an audiodrama idea, I immediately started writing Aph with Tot's voice in mind. There is just something so magical about Tot's voice that I had to write another show for her and hope that she would say yes. And luckily for me, they did say yes. They're bringing such a life to Aphrodite and I can't wait for y'all to hear it.
In addition to being in both of my shows, you can hear Tot in her own show, @souloperatorpod which ripped my heart in half (it's incredibly good y'all) as well as The Department of Variance of Somewhere, Ohio, WOE.BEGONE, Wake of Corrosion, and a bunch of other incredible shows because she's so talented
If you would like to support Tot's work in Forged Bonds along with the rest of our amazing cast, you can check out our crowdfunder on indiegogo!
And to Tot specifically: I'm not sure what higher power I believe in but I know for a fact it was a blessing to meet you. You are an incredible friend and a ridiculously talented voice actor and writer. I'm so fucking proud of you and cant believe how lucky I am to be your friend
