A little of Pure Sydney's flaws

There will be two parts to this cause on god this is long. On this part I will be exploring flaws that tend to be a bit more visible with pure Sydney

This is in no way a complete analysis, I definitely have missed many more of Sydney's flaws, and because Tumblr is a bitch and a half, I regrettably cannot jam as many screenshots from the game/its codes as much as I would like. But I hope this post could act as a good point of reference regardless for any fans of Sydney, or people looking to explore more of their character out there!

So.

What’s the deal with Sydney? What’s wrong with them, what are their flaws and what make the relationship between them and the PC so toxic?

Well ain’t there just so much to unpack.

In short, Sydney at their core is a spineless, directionless, malleable individual that important influences in their life can easily shape, be it their family, the Temple, or the PC.

Sydney, as they are today, was raised with beliefs upheld by the temple. Something they are deeply religious, devoted and grateful for. However, as we all know, some of those values can be extremely morally questionable.

Speaking of deeply devoted let’s start with Pure Sydney, shall we? 

Victim blaming tendencies

One of the ideals Sydney was raised with is their extremely victim-blaming mindset. Which I have shown here

2. Lust and internal conflict

Something else that fascinates me greatly is that regardless of their state, Sydney is always tempted by the PC. PC’s existence and presence alone are pushing Sydney towards the pit of sinful desires no matter if they are Pure or Corrupted. 

The first thing that comes to mind is when accepting their confession results in a decrease of Sydney’s Purity stat: 

The notion of accepting Sydney’s affections is seen as an encouragement for them to fall towards sin. 

Being in a relationship with PC means they are constantly fighting their own urges and desires. Being taught their entire life that these feelings are wrong, Sydney suffers from tremendous guilt. Even when promised and permitted by the Temple, Sydney still finds physical intimacy with the PC sinful:

These just go to show how deeply buried Sydney is in the Temple’s teachings, unable to stray from it. Which is a perfect segue into their next flaw

3. Attachment to the Temple and blind faith.

Even from the latest confessional scene added, Sydney clearly cares about PC’s wellbeing and displays great concern for them, almost breaking out of the ideals they were raised with just to defend their beloved. But they are not quite there yet. They still seek out for the Temple when they are faced with these doubts. They think that they are doing something wrong for prioritizing the PC’s best interest over the Temple’s teachings. 

Sydney is INCAPABLE of detaching themselves from the Temple. The Temple is just such a big part of Sydney’s character that no matter what, they will side with the Temple before they think about the PC when forced to make that choice. 

And in a way, Sydney’s blind faith is encouraged by the Player for choosing to keep them Pure. The PC is essentially acting as another shelter, shielding, “protecting” them. The PC never expressed that they wanted a change of mindset from Sydney, so Sydney never had a change in mindset. 

And if you played the new confessional event, you would know that you as the player never had the option to either. This might have been intentional. But I will expand on that later. 

More showings of Sydney’s blind faith can be found in littler events while praying with Sydney in the Temple, where they would turn a blind eye to fellow followers being punished:

4. Superiority/Saviour complex

Another aspect of Sydney that people talk about, but I don’t think quite enough, is how aggressive they can get, specifically towards those they deem as sinners. This is a trait shared among both states of Sydney.

Though, pure Sydney might be a tad worse at this. As they seem to find themselves more righteous than sinners:

If they are the one taking confessions, pure Sydney is often more judgemental compared to the more empathetic corrupt Sydney:

When PC as a member of the Temple is caught masturbating by Sydney, they take matters into their own hands:

They also display a bit of a saviour complex from their opinions about the PC at low Purity:

5. Dumb teenager

Just a small thing, but I feel like most people just brush over the fact that pure Sydney practically proposes to PC at high enough lust.

I think I don’t need to stress just how insane it is to propose to someone you haven’t known for long. Just to what? Have sex? Loser behaviour. 

I can't wait to explore their flaws when corrupted :3

When kept pure, Sydney has so many interesting flaws that make them incredibly humane and a little irritating, but that's the charm of their character! They are deeply troubled and blinded by their own devotion that they are ignorant, a bit arrogant and even self destructive. It's what makes Sydney... Sydney and I wouldn't have them any other way.

Notes on and quotes from today’s new DA:TV coverage content from Game Informer, the video “The Making of Dragon Age: The Veilguard | Cover Story Feature”. The rest of this post is under a cut due to DA:TV spoilers.

First I'll note that the Game Informer video contains spoilers for DA:TV, so bear that in mind before deciding to watch it or read further in this post.

There were no new images, screenshots or videos from the game in the Game Informer video. There was however a series of music pieces playing in the background of the devs talking throughout. I didn't recognize these music pieces (lmk if you did tho pls hh!), so I'm wondering if the music in this video was all-new DA music from DA:TV!! 👁️

Next I will say that there was not much in the way of new information in the video. The devs were chatting about topics, info segments and talking points that have been featured in previous articles & previous coverage on the game. however, the devs seemed really happy and excited, and proud of what they've made, excited to share about it, and that was rly nice to see. :)

For the rest of this post, it is not a 'cliff notes on everything said in the video'-type post. It's just a series of notes on and quotes from the video that particularly stood out to me and that I particularly liked. ^^

"You start DA:TV having chased Solas to Minrathous. You're there to stop his ritual, there to take him down. You're there to find this character, so you're chasing him, you're trying to stop this ritual that he has already said multiple times that he is going to perform before he performs it, because, if he does, the Veil will get torn down, the Fade and the world of the waking will merge, and demons will pour out, pretty much meaning the end of life as we know it".

John Epler: "Solas always feels that he is a tragic hero, but a hero [of the story] nonetheless. So he is coming into this believing firmly that what you stopped him from doing [Rook stopping the ritual the way they did in the gameplay reveal video] was the right thing, that you've made a mistake, but, because now he's trapped, now he can't reach out and actively affect, he needs to work with you. And that allows us to provide a lot of nuance to the relationship, because Solas sees a lot of himself in you, especially the parts of himself that he maybe doesn't like to face, so there is kinda that interesting push and pull between the two characters, Solas and the main protagonist Rook. And you can define what that relationship means. You can continue to be suspicious and hostile towards him. Or you can start to see him and find that common ground, find that connection between the two of you and really develop a different relationship over thee course of the story." Mark Darrah: "This is a good direction to take the Solas story. It allows us to hopefully give a good conclusion to all of the varied attitudes towards Solas that are gonna be coming into this game. People who love Solas, people who agree with Solas, people who hate Solas, people who want to kick Solas off of a building, I think that we give you the opportunity to bring that to a close, but then tell a greater story about The Veilguard and about the world as a whole."

BioWare wanted to tell a story this time where you literally cannot save the world without these characters

The companions have relationships with each other too. "They have friendships, they have rivalries, and lean into that concept, you're not just pulling together a bunch of people who will do whatever you say, you're assembling a family and that becomes the core of what The Veilguard is all about. It's about taking this group, this found family and saving the world side by side with them."

In the game, things and the storytelling are done towards a goal, towards a storytelling goal, "towards the future" [of the franchise it sounds like], not 'just because' or 'just to do them'

John: "The message of The Veilguard is, you’re not saving the world on your own. You need your companions but you also need these factions, these other groups in the world. You help them, they help you. Now, something we wanted to avoid, because, you know, there's always the trope of, 'oh yeah, I would help you save the world but I need you to go gather 200 wood', it's kind of a silly concept, so what we wanted to build is these factions that do want to help you but have realistic challenges, problems in front of them. So narratively, you help them with their problems, they will help you with yours when the time comes, but beyond that each faction has a follower, as well as an ancillary character we’re calling 'agents', who exist as these, face of the faction. We’re not gonna get too deep into those right now, but we didn’t wanna just say, 'here's the Wardens, go deal with the Wardens', we wanted to have characters within that faction who are sympathetic, who you can see and who become the face of that faction, so even if there's moments where the faction as a whole may be on the outs with you, these characters are still with you, they’ve still got your back. It’s a core with what we’ve done with the storytelling in this game. We wanted to make sure all the content you did felt relevant. Everything you do has a purpose and has a tie back into the critical path. Sometimes it's more explicit than others, but there is always a sense that you are moving towards the goal of stopping the elven gods, stopping the end of the world, and it's not just [like how some of the side content in DA:I was]. Helping these people, helping these groups, so that they can help you when the time comes."

In the story and tone of this game, it has the highest of highest and the lowest of lows. At the lowest of lows, "it gets gritty, it gets painful, it gets dark", but there are also nice positive moments in the game and a colorful, optimistic throughline. Corinne: "This identity is something special for the franchise now and for the franchise going forward"

"In the case of Arlathan, what does it look like when you go to the place where the elves had their ancient empire that was run on and fuelled by magic? What does the aftermath of that look like, especially when the gods are out in the world and raw magic is seeping back out from the Fade."

DA has always been a series where in the world, the truth has multiple perspectives

We will journey out from the Lighthouse into the area of the Fade known as the Crossroads, "which is full of mysteries, exploration, branching paths". We will take eluvians to the far corners of northern Thedas

Some of the environments are more mission-focused, "with narrative beat after narrative beat"

"We know what's gonna happen, we know when it's gonna happen, but of course it's influenced by all the decisions you've made as the player along the way"

There are also more non-linear, more open areas in which we will be able to open up new sections of the map, find new pathways, "really leaning into solving mysteries and finding ancient treasures and some of our apex battles, there are some truly terrifying enemies that you're going to encounter when you're left to your own means to kind've explore these larger areas".

"Tevinter has always been a land where mages rule, they are in charge, they make the rules and run the show. So what does that look like? And, as we've gone through DA:O, DAII and DA:I, magic has become more and more present, and part of that is because Solas has been slowly preparing this ritual for longer than anyone in the DA universe is really aware of, but also just, going into these spaces where magic is, by definition, and by the lore, much much more present. It's been fun"

For the first time in DA BW are able to let the visuals speak for themselves (as in, the technology has caught up and they aren’t just saying 'trust us, this [magic thing] is really cool')

They took great care with how they introduce each companion and major story character

Corinne is really proud of what BW have built with the CC. "It is a game where everyone belongs"

A new to DA feature in CC: full body customization with pretty robust diversity. Body shape, body size, body proportions

They invested huge effort into their strand hair technology. There are numerous hairstyles in the game, they know how much the fans care about hair and Corinne is one of these people. They know that the range of hairstyles matters too and that it is not just about quantity. "Making sure we have diverse representation for all types of players."

They took a step back and asked, how are we going to incorporate things like your background in a meaningful way?

They call difficulty levels "playstyles". This is integrated into the CC process. You can select a number of preset experiences that your character will adopt and step into the game with, but you can also customize that playstyle e.g., if you're bad at parrying, you can ease this up

Some of the locations that we will visit are "bustling cityscapes." "We're gonna go right into the heart of the Tevinter empire. We're also going to a city in Antiva called Treviso"

Corinne Busche: "[those places] have a dense populace and we knew we needed to have the tools to support a wide range of NPCs. You will not find NPCs that look alike in this game. Each one is crafted using the same tools that we're giving to our players, with the exception of some of our custom-sculpted characters like the companions. So when you go up to that market vendor in Minrathous, you can make that character. When you see the guards patrolling the street, you can make that character too. You can therefore be inspired by the population around you and go and create that in CC."

The Lighthouse as we know is our HQ and base of operations. Each of the companions has their own sanctuary, their own room within it. These spaces become a reflection of who they are. The more time we spend with them as the game develops, as we work through their arc, their room and their personality will evolve and flourish and become more complete as they trust us and we understand them better

Corinne: "There are moments in the game where two of our companions fell in love with each other and I had to make some pretty challenging choices as it related to the quest we were on, and it broke my heart, it absolutely did"

The game tries to give the player as much agency as it can, and then reflect it back on us. Choice and consequence can be hard to show, but this is a game about agency and about giving us options

We can upgrade gear and enchant gear, this extends to the companions too

The 3 specs for each of the 3 classes are highly distinct

Every attack, every swing of a sword, when you connect you feel it, these have weight

Companion abilities can be queued up one after the other

The devs are really proud of this game and excited about it. Everything that's in the game is in there because someone cares about it. The game really reflects the dev team and it's coming together well, they are really excited for us to get our hands on it soon

Sorry it took a while for me to answer this, I've been trying to find a way muster up a proper response so here I go!

Okay, putting my bias aside, yes, he did in fact love Ceroba but that's it, they love each other a lot. He just wanted to pursue his work more. Motherfucker is no less delusional than Starlo, he thinks he can save monsterkind if he can just perfect the serum and take revenge on the humans and it makes me sick knowing he planned to have a big family with Ceroba, have you seen how huge the manor is? He can't even take care of one child and yet he wanted more. That's Chujin Ketsukane in a nutshell, he wanted more, he wanted to pursue more because of how ambitious he is. He's unarguably worse than Starlo, he thinks he can save everyone, built a secret underground basement that he hid from his wife, and passed on his dying wish to said wife when he barely even finds time for her because he prioritizes his work more, he KILLED a CHILD and literally broke the laws of robotics, left said wife to work all by herself to stay afloat, the list goes on you get the point. Bias is back, there's nothing you can do to convince me to like Chujin, I will admit he's a good character but that's all you're going to shake out of me, I don't like him, he seems to be the type to have a superiority complex.

I'm going to assume you meant Ceroba questioned why the serum didn't work instead of her coming to her senses and why she worked on it in the first place? Her blind adoration for Chujin baffles me when all he's ever done was pursue his career and what he stood for, but what baffles me even more is even Chujin himself said not to use the serum on Kanako and yet SHE STILL DID. She went against her husband's wishes, and still… what… okay I'm genuinely stumped on this part my brain just shut down.

What bothered me a lot about Clover was they seemed so mature for their age, that was the impression I got from them the entire time playing uty, the way they handled everything just broke my heart, especially with pacifist Starlo's boss fight, they knelt down and surrendered in front of him, from the very beginning Clover was ready to offer their life and that was before even finding out about Ceroba's plan which happens right after that when they go to the Steamworks. They're so nonchalant about everything (imagine my surprise when I saw people drawing them all energetic and cutesy hihi ^^), and the fact that some bits and pieces of their hinted neglect at home just, augh. Just paint a picture with me, your entire life you were emotionally neglected, you're just a mere child who's trying to make it through life, doing the chores all by yourself, eating things you shouldn't, and your damn favorite TV show is just pure static until you decide to go to Mt. Ebott and jump down a hole holding a missing poster to look for the missing children, not knowing you could be next (and you were). To your surprise you see the world of your dreams, there were monsters, but these monsters cared and loved you, there were a few bumps on the road but in the end, they all genuinely cared, even offering you to stay with them, but after you find out about their situation… you offer your soul for their sake. Isn't that so cruel? You finally have a chance to be alive, experience what it's like to be loved, and finally act like a kid only to die on the same day? Such a tragic and twisted fate.

I'm relieved to learn that I'm not the only one who sees FACE as an album about the end of a romantic relationship.

Mention this to some factions in the fandom and it's "How DARE you call Jimin a liar! " But Jimin isn't lying; at most, he's dissembling in order to protect his own privacy. Fair enough. Let the music speak for itself.

Shippers will be equally outraged because if FACE is about a break-up and Jikook would never, ever, ever break up, then that would mean there was another person in Jimin's life. And another person--male or female--cannot be allowed to exist.

I don't know what to tell them. I mean, most of us have experienced a bad break-up with a romantic partner. And we've all probably had break-ups with once-cherished friends. Both losses are painful, but there is an intensity and a drive toward self-destructive behavior in FACE which speaks to the loss of a lover, not a buddy.

In the case of Lie, I didn't know that RM was the one who interpreted the song to be about Jimin's lack of confidence, perfectionism, and "imposter syndrome." I'd always thought this is what people gathered from Jimin himself.

It made me think of that interview where Jimin says to his past self, "hurry up, and become me." And now I'm wondering if Lie wasn't more about the role he was forced to play in the early days of BTS and the toll that took on him. And then I wonder if he wouldn't be willing to perform Lie again--now that he is in a happier, healthier, and more secure place.

Yes, if you look at the footage for Lie interpretation (I was curious about all the comments about Lie) it was a livestream when RM discussed the song. When asked, Jimin just said that it’s a song about lying (I snorted when I saw that clip, it’s pretty funny). I couldn’t find the page screenshot from Beyond the Story again where “Lie” is discussed, but basically as I recall it he initially was going to write something less personal, but when talking things out with the producers and songwriters he decided to make it be his experiences. I find it interesting the keyword chosen was “Lie”, because the phrasing in that page sounded like he was talking about the pressures of his stage persona not being him, so “Lie” seems a bit harsh. But I love the song, so I’ll let it slide.

Personally, I’ve never understood shipping. I’m not going to bash all shippers, because I don’t think it’s a good idea to generalize ever, but once you start harassing people over your ship, you’ve gone too far and that’s not okay. I don’t see what they’re seeing between any BTS member, but I wouldn’t care if any of them actually were together. In my opinion, dating colleagues is the fastest way to wreck group dynamics, but people do it anyways, so YMMV. From my perspective, as long as their theories stay firmly tagged and inside fandom spaces instead of elsewhere, I’m not going to try and police them.

I mainly watched Jimin interviews for FACE and behind the scenes for MUSE before going back to old Bangtan Bombs and episodes, but I got the impression that Jimin is the kind of person that picks every word deliberately when speaking. I even saw an interesting YouTube video series where someone analyzed each BTS member’s speech patterns in Korean and apparently Jimin constantly qualifies statements instead of making assertions. Instead of saying something as fact, he goes either, “I think that…” or “I hope that…” before continuing the statement. It’s a very thoughtful way of speaking, and I found it fascinating how frequently he does this. His father apparently wanted him to become a prosecutor, so I think he’s always been prone to being a logical and thoughtful speaker that doesn’t give much away.

I’m of the camp where I don’t want to assume anything about his personal life in specifics, but when I heard Face-Off, I went, “Who hurt you?”. It’s such a gorgeous song, but so darkly funny at times. The Flea Waltz (practically circus music) that sounds like it belongs in a horror movie, going into a record scratch and a new beat, the first lyrics actually being “F- you” pitched up, the word choices being so precisely in tune with the mood being set. It’s the feeling when you look back at your own choices after a nasty betrayal and go, “I should have seen this coming”. He’s basically going, “I’m a fool and a clown for trusting you with my money and my heart”, but he’s so self-aware about it. I love this song- it’s such a head-banger.

I also watched a bootleg of Are You Sure, and was struck with that one part in Sapporo, where Jimin sees a little girl and talks about wanting a daughter. I honestly think he’s laying the groundwork a couple years in advance to prepare his fans for him settling down and starting a family once he finds the right person. This implies he’s had at least one serious relationship, if he’s thinking in those terms. I think he’d be a great dad, too.

I think he’s doing a good job of explaining just enough, without over sharing, about his music. We as his fans don’t have a right to his private life, and we especially shouldn’t dictate what he’s allowed to do. In my opinion, the kind of content he released for his solo projects is the kind of content HYBE should stick to, because I really think they’re overworked on the reality show side of things. I’m still trying to get through RunBTS, because it feels like “pick on Jimin” hour most episodes and I don’t like that.

I’ve spent three days fiddling with my first draft of my Like Crazy acting analysis, and it’ll probably be up in the next day or so once I find where he talked about the heat camera used, because I think he alluded to why he chose to use it. It was either in the MV behind or his watch of the MV on livestream, so I have to go back through that footage. I’m trying so hard to keep it interpretation-neutral, so I’ve literally been watching the video, writing down my interpretations for each scene, taking a break, and then watching it again with a different framework in mind. There’s actually two more sets than I remembered in my acting post: the skinny hallway where he pushes past people and the hallway that looks like the back area of a club, with all the mud dripping down the walls. It will be posted soon, though. Every time I watch it I go, “THIS is the guy who apparently can’t act?”, because it baffles me how pervasive narratives are. Oh well, it doesn’t have to be perfect, as long as it makes sense.

May I take a gander at Twitter being upset over drawing Gem with antlers? This is coming from someone who also draws Deer!Gem, antlers, hooves and all. Cause if it’s the reason I’m thinking off, clearly none of them saw Gem’s follow up post on tumblr that she’s fine with deer art, she just likes variety too.

And yeah I got into a tiff with someone on TikTok because I said “yeah the popular hybrid headcanon I see of Gem in both hermitcraft and the life series is a deer hybrid” only the the op to reply back “um actually life series Gem shouldn’t be drawn as a deer :/” which Gem never said herself… all she said was that she would lien variety…

I spent 20 minutes looking and couldn't find it, but it was a screenshot of reddit that was being shown to me. In it Gem was indeed talking about how she liked to try new things with her skin and that she'd like to see as much from fanart too, and capped it off by saying that the deer skin was still her favorite and she still enjoyed seeing art of it regardless. So, obviously that was the typical witchhunter who looks for any excuse to police people instead of even reading through the thing they're showing me as "proof". It's honestly a big reason I keep drawing Gem as a cervitaur. Because I can draw whatever I want

Regardless it's stupid of people including CCs to try and police you. This is a fandom and you can draw whatever the hell you want forever. It's reasonable to avoid showing things to the CCs they might not want to see, but outside of that, they don't get to dictate what you can or cannot draw. Gem and Pearl have never had bad intentions though, I'm sure of that. They're newer to this kind of attention than most other CCs they work with, especially after the growth of the gempearl ship within the fandom after Wild Life, and don't seem to understand yet what their place within a fandom is, and that it's not something they can control. Which is so understandable and reasonable

Unfortunately, even if I trust them to always have had good intentions and never to actually police people, any CC ever making even the vaguest boundary is going to be used like a firearm against the fandom by other fandom goers, because fun is banned and they need to protect their beloved content creators from. something? From being drawn with antlers? Otherwise they get depressed and stop making youtube content and kill themselves or something? In my opinion there is absolutely nothing to rationalize this behavior

That's why I only use Tumblr (and Youtube) because those kinds of hatemobs are horribly abundant on twitter and I assume TikTok as well, knowing what I know of that app's general userbase age. My only hope is that these people are 13 years old and that they will grow up

You know what I just realized... I think you know you've "made it" as a fanfic author when people go OUT OF THEIR WAY to spend their PRECIOUS time writing coherently about some aspect of your fic they do not like. I mean, you have to reach such a wide audience to find people willing to do that. Most people will merely ignore or abandon your work. They might make a small comment to a small number of followers, but if you start seeing essays about how you did something "wrong" I say, give yourself a pat on the back.

No one who has written a terrible fic will ever get that kind of attention.

There will ALWAYS be haters. Especially in fandom where people tend to enjoy seeing their peeps in a particular light or a particular characterization. You cannot please everyone. And readers have the right to take time out of their life to write about how you didn't meet their exact expectations regarding how they envision a character being written. In a way they are still gifting your their time and attention!

The first really well written hate message I receive (and it has to be from someone who has actually READ my work), I'm going to save it the same way I save all my other amazingly kind and loving comments. I'm going to remember that person who went out of their way to tell me I disappointed them. Something about my story was good enough to keep them reading, even when they hated it.

I think that's an overall win.

PS If you are a reader and you want to respond to "critique" posted about a fic you love, send that person a screenshot of the AO3 stats for the work. Those things don't lie.

Yeah ATYD isn't perfect. It's also got over 16 MILLION views!!! So, the general consensus is it's pretty damn good. It also has it's own fandom tag. I mean... who cares if a few people don't like the characterizations! I doubt their post about the flaws doesn't get 16,000,000 notes. <3

She hides behind a faux persona and sends herself constant messages to look like she is being harassed. Katie, i’m hardly ever on this blog. The only time I am is when someone mentions u called me out by name.

Yes that is my bluesky and i stand by EVERYTHING i said. You’re a serial manipulator. You’re a stalker. You have done this to MULTIPLE girls. So much so that there’s so many fucking receipts.

You did this to Cassidy and claimed she was the one who harassed you. You are now doing this to Allie and doing whatever you can to paint her in a bad light. Also it’s really funny you got that “hey i’m a friend of allie’s” message. So clearly written by you.

I am not scared of you. You cannot threaten me. I will continue to warm the community about what a horrible person you are. Literally just open up, tell the truth? that you’re inspired by allie and apologize. You have continuously copied her, switched aesthetics the moment she has (which she has done to get away from you). whenever someone even dares to say something you threaten yourself. You are a master manipulator and guilt tripper. you might have more followers than me on here and got them all feeling sorry for you. But enough it enough. You are destroying the soul of someone I love. You thrive off it. Tell me, how did you find her family members? Her brothers girlfriend? How did you find ME? Riddle Rosehearts - mmm bad. but so bad its cute. like he's trying to invite you to a tea party, blurts out the information, spins on his heel and marches off with a red face.

Ace Trappola - UGH HES SO ANNOYING he'd use cheesy one liners with a smug grin so if thats your type of thing come get him.

Ashton Vargas - i hate him. he sucks. also uses cheesy one liners but its layered with a vibe of superiority that makes me want to punch him.

Azul Ashengrotto - MY LOVELY <3333 AAAAA i can see him being suave if he's trying to butter you up, but when you say something back he's like ?!?!?!?!??!?! WHAT. he won't believe you though :((

Cater Diamond - aww he's so sweet!! but really devious. YK HIS BIRTHDAY BOY LOG IN LINES???

Dire Crowley - hmm. he's a bit hard to pinpoint but i dont think he'd suck? hes bad but i dont think he'd be as bad as vargas.

Divus Crewel - i know everyone likes to think he's like super flirty or smth but i don't think so. he gives the vibes of someone who wants something more serious so his flirting would probably be less playful and more serious compliments on your work.

Epel Felmier - i cannot see him flirting for the life of me unless he was feeling particularly devious??? but also epel is a character that i cant write for the life of me so take everything i say about him with a grain of salt.

Floyd Leech - he platonically flirts a lot. flirts by biting you. he has a way of making his voice sound very pleasing to the ears so yes he's good.

Idia Shroud - PFFT LOSER. idia kissers knew this was coming. ygys know him. he doesn't flirt. he insults you and gets scared when you get mad. "why don't they like me?!?!" YOU CALLED THEM A NORMIE YOU WEIRDO

Jack Howl - like crewel, his flirting is more serious and genuine. he'll compliment your work and what you've done well. also wags his tail. he's good!!

Jade Leech - IS A BASTARD. he will humiliate you because he thinks its FUNNY. never let him figure out that you're easily flustered or he will NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE (unless you like him the win ig???) he's good!!

Jamil Viper - I AM HERE TO SPREAD MY EASILY FLUSTERED JAMIL AGENDA. he doesn't flirt but if you ever flirt with him he'll get embarrassed.

Kalim Al-Asim - contrary to popular belief, kalim knows when he's flirting with you. its just...he's so friendly with everyone that you cant really tell. hes bad at getting his actual feelings across.

Leona Kingscholar - he's smug but thats about it??? he doesn't really flirt but if he compliments you you've already won at life so does it matter?

Lilia Vanrouge - HES A LITTLE SHIT. another one that won't leave you alone if he finds out that you're easily flustered. he's good >:T

Malleus Draconia - bad because he doesnt know what hes doing. he doesnt know how to talk to people informally. people find him charming anyway though!!

Mozus Trein - he's too miserable and tired to flirt sigh

Najma Viper - kinda has the same problem that kalim has except i can see her being very touchy. like hand holding and hugs. so if thats your kind of thing, then its good!!

Neige LeBlanche - the type to giggle if you compliment him (me.) he's very sweet, the type to get you flowers and kiss the back of your hand in greeting. good!!

Rook Hunt - hes good because hes so poetic and such a tease. h e can be touchy too, if thats what you like.

Ruggie Bucchi - he'd pinch all over your face as his way of flirting. he's just goofy like that. again, he's pretty teasing, so i'd say he's good!!

Sam - biased but he's the best flirter in the faculty by far. he's got a nice smile and a vibrant laugh and he's genuinely very friendly and open to people. good!!

Sebek Zigvolt - hes so BAD. hes only better than vargas. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS MEAN but he'd just yell compliments at you and expect you to reciprocate. has a crisis if you dont.

Silver - hes very sweet but so tired, just let him rest on your lap!!

Trey Clover - he'd be bad IM SORRY. he doesn't really flirt so he'd just be awkwardly making small talk with you until you catch on to what he's doing.

Vil Schoenheit - after that kiss in book six i think abt him more than i used to. he's a very sweet flirt, with soft smiles and pink cheeks. let vil be blushy. I NEED IT.
