☾ - sleep headcanon

depending on the night and person, ranpo can be the clingiest cuddler in a good way or a nightmare to sleep with (moving around, stealing the blanket, etc).

lucy can sleep even in hard surfaces and is a bit of a light sleeper unless she's completely comfortable; both "souvenirs" from her background.

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

ranpo's not particular about clothes in the sense of having sensory issues (he doesn't), but he can be particular when it comes to any other stuff: colors, sizes... he probably has a soft spot (pun intended) for softer textures.

also speaking of clothes, i love the idea of lucy knowing how to sew and having enough knowledge to make clothes, so i also love how it's kinda common.

There are so many timeskips within the flashback! My flow and pacing are wheezing!#I loved how this scene starts with the crowd's point of view. The observations and gossip add a lot.#And it helps reposition us to what the external perspective is on these two. Namely that 'they don't get along.'#Tensions are known! Even here in Nouveau Lotus Pier.#Ah...Lan Wangji never got a chance to see the Lotus Pier of Wei Wuxian's childhood and adolescence...did he?#It's not the same. He's not the same. Call them by the same name and people will know what you mean...#...but the first version - the one with the fond memories - is gone for good.#It's sort of interesting isn't it? How names can hold so much power and still be hollow?#We often get stuck over past versions of things. Be it ourselves or other people or places.#Change is scary but the truth is nothing ever stays the same. It's always moving. You're always moving.#It's okay to mourn the past. Maybe it's people you lost or the person you hoped to be. Let yourself feel the grief.#And then? Then you grow around that pain and keep on going. adding to the "there should have been more genuine tension within the seven" train of thought, it would have been funny if the Argo II, technically being a ship, meant it fell under Percy's power domain and he could control it all at whim, rendering all the carefully crafted controls Leo built useless if Percy felt like being an asshole

"What she said. Although we did need to take some first aide courses before opening."

"We barely had information of other species so we mostly relied on the training and teachings we received at home, Earth."

"Don't worry we took some night classes later on to be more prepared later on."

"How later is 'later on'?"

"About a month."

"...you seem really confused about this."

"That is because I am. . .how were you able to tolerate the biting then? Or the vast difference in height and weight from some of the larger ones? Or keep up with the fast ones?"

"Oh I was bit all the time at home. Both at work and at home."

"I just like running so it's not that hard for me. Kim still struggles though."

"I have tiny legs you jerk."

"But the strength and weight of some of them..."

"Oh right, on Earth you have to be able to lift at least 50 pounds to go into childcare."

"I thought it was 50 kilos..."

I'm sorry but the irony of Nico calling Max unprofessional is sending me so bad like sir there's an entire garage full of people, who were literally in the trenches trying to survive the Brocedes fallout while just doing their jobs, who might have a few things to say about your (& Lewis') level of professionalism at that time 😭✋️

Don't get me wrong, having Bruce/Alfred/Dick accidentally call Tim "Jason" is A+ angst in fic. I love whenever it happens. Yes, good, show that they still grieve the boy they lost and make Tim wonder if they actually see him. Excellent. Very nice.

But also--as someone who has more siblings than Bruce has children--the number of times my father has stared me directly in the eyes, said all of my sisters' names, (sometimes my brothers' names,) my mother's name, and then finally, somehow, managed to dredge up mine is definitely not zero.

I just saw this video talking about actresses who've had to wear sexualized outfits on film that made them uncomfortable (think Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad) and it brought up an ongoing concern of mine about how films and tv shows are way more explicit now than they've been before. Thinking about how many actresses have been topless or nude on camera when it's totally unnecessary) Like I know Hollywood is experimental and would show sex and nudity in their films, I don't have a problem with that it's just how disproportionate the amount of women vs men who have to be naked and sexualized in film is. It's misogyny, pure and simple. Forcing actresses to put their bodies and sexuality on display for the pleasure of male directors and a male audience. And I hate that you can never point out how many actresses have come out and said that no, they didn't like wearing sexualized outfits on screen, they didn't like going nude/being pressured to go nude, they don't like sex scenes or explicit rape scenes but still anytime anyone mentions this you have to fight puritan allegations because god forbid you question how a notoriously sexualized and objectified marginalized community seems to always be sexualized and objectified in media.

#the pyre #I wish I remembered her name but I saw this snippet of an interview with this actress in her 40s who said that she wished she got more role #but as a woman in her 40s all her roles are either of a mother or sexulized #she specfically mentioned not wanting to do sex scenes especially for films with male directors #and to me this confirmed that atleast some actresses know that the only reason why they're given these sex scenes especally the long explic #scenes we get a lot nowadays are all to pander to a male audience which is why I roll my eyes when liberals brush off #any concerns as just not being sex positive or progressive enough #I really hate this new development where you can't point out the obvious without a liberal responding that not only are you wrong but they'#more progressive than you for fully supporting the thing you're criticising no questions asked
