Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022): new fave movie full stop. everything abt it is perfect id watch it a million more times stephanie hsu oscar nom when
Pride & Prejudice (1995): i know. i know this is a six episode series. but not the way i watch it. there is something so comforting to me about that ugly ass pink satin they use in the title credits....i literally put this on when im bored
Om Shanti Om (2007): shut upppppp
The Philadelphia Story (1940): it was hard picking just one katharine hepburn movie but her performance in this is unparalleled.....esp cause i think its funny that whenever they try to remake it it's always bad. shoutout to sylvia scarlet and stage door though.
Mississippi Masala (1991): no words for how much i loved this. sarita choudhary and denzel washington are you fucking joking
Star Trek: The Voyage Home (1986): the one with the whales. feel good of all feel goods. also spock is there and he wears a little headband.
Us (2019): my fave horror movie of the 2010's for the pas de deux scene alone
Veere Di Wedding (2018): this movie is objectively mid but kareena kapoor says 'fuck' in it and like. inner child healed from that alone but also for the first time in my life i understood why white girls were sooooo obsessed with bridesmaids (2011) type films
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989): im not kidding this is Cinema like listen to the score. movies with a yes and type plot and no villain. also there's a scene in the second one where bill n ted are sitting on their couch watching star trek and when i watched it for the first time i was with my own bestie (tagged below hey man wazzup) sitting in exactly the same position. knowing that any other night we wouldve been watching star trek too and that moment was so crazy for both of us that we became lifelong fans

Ranking every Star Trek movies (except Nemesis cause I haven’t watched it yet) bc I need an excuse to procrastinate school work :
12 : Insurrection
This is by far the most BORING star trek film. I literally dosed of at some point while watching it. It feels super cheap, and the plot is recycled from a mix of three tng episodes - only in the movie it doesn’t make any sense. Everyone seems to have forgotten there is a war going on ? Honestly this movie doesn't even deserve to be hated. Its just uninteresting as fuck and imo that’s the worst Star Trek gets.  (Also i learned that apparently at first we were supposed to get a Dominion war themed movie instead of this ? Bitch we were robbed !)
11 : Into Darkness
Unlike insurrection, this movie is not boring. But it makes me angry. I’d love to rant about everything that bothers me in this film but I don’t have time for it. Let’s just say it’s like JJ wiped his ass with a Wrath of Khan dvd, and also nothing makes sense again ? At the end they literally cured death and found a way to travel anywhere in the galaxy instantaneously. This is the highest grossing Trek movie of all time ? wild
10 : Generations
There is a nice TNG episode with a cool Data character arc stuck in there. Unfortunately this was advertised as “Picard and Kirk meet - the movie” and that part was the most underwhelming thing ever. And Do NOT let me get started on Kirk’s death. I’m just trying to pretend this movie doesn't exist and Undiscovered Country was the last we saw of him
9 : The Final Frontier
What can I say about this movie that hasn’t been said. People like to say its the worst star trek movie and, while it’s true that it’s definitely not good, it’s also entertaining and rewatchable. A good chunk is “so bad its good”, and there are some cool character moments here and there. I was actually going to put it above the 2009 reboot movie but I remembered the uhura fan dance scene so.. no. (Also cursed anecdote : a few month ago I wanted to introduce ST to my brother so I made him watch the tos movies - and this one is now his favourite. Uh.)
8 : 2009 reboot movie
Idk, it’s hard to hate on this movie since it was my introduction to star trek. The soundtrack is also rad as fuck. But it doesnt hold up to being rewatched after watching tos. Everyone is ooc, except Mccoy who’s awesome but not in the movie that much (LOVE his introduction scene tho). I hate JJ’s constant rapid cuts, and the abuse of lens flares and dutch angles. Also Spock/Uhura ??why??????? This is a movie for the cool kids, and that’s not what star trek is !!! star trek is for losers who get bullied at school !!
7 : Beyond
The best film of the reboot trilogy. This is an okey movie. Idk, its fun, and the characters are way more.. Well... In-character compared to the previous ones. There were spones moments too ! But the plot surrounding the villain -again- doesn't make any sense, and it still feels a bit to action-movie-y.
6 : The Motion Picture
I like this movie. Yeah I know it has a lot of stupidly long shots, bit it’s still good. I like the plot (it was better exploited in the book adaptation tho). The refitted Entreprise exterior design just looks awesome. Hate the uniforms with a burning passion tho
5 : First Contact
I already talked about what I think of this movie here, so Ill make it bref. I really didn’t like the borg stuff, especially the queen. But everything around Cochrane and actual first contact was awesome. All in all this movie is great, but overrated
4 : Search For Spock
Very cool movie, but poorly paced. Very gay. Plenty of awesome moments like Bones/spock fusion, stealing the enterprise, the enterprise’s destruction (literally made my cry the first time I saw the movie)... Saavik recast was big brain, the actress was very good
3,2,1 : Voyage home, Wrath of Khan, Undiscovered Country
Okey I literally cannot choose between theses three. They’re all just so fucking classic. Infinite rewatchability. TUC is underrated tho ! I don’t often see it that high on people’s lists ! This movie is just the perfect conclusion to the tos era. I love everything about it, even bad CGI klingon purple blood

Voyagers
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff/Headcanon
Pairing: Yoongi x Reader (Female)
Summary: A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join BTS on a Bon Voyage adventure leads to once-in-a-lifetime love.
Author’s Note: I feel like this is going to end up having a million parts if I continue with this amount of detail, but I can’t help myself. This is just how my brain works. 😄 Anyway, I’m not sure if I need to say this, but I wrote this from the perspective of an American ARMY. Hope that doesn’t bother anyone. Also, I imagine you to be the same age as Yoongi, so you’re not technically a noona to him, but I don’t like using “Y/N,” so I’ll just use “noona” as his nickname for you for now. Oh, and one last thing: for the purposes of this story, let’s just pretend there’s no language barrier between you and the boys, okay? Okay! Let’s get it!
Part Three
Countdown to Bon Voyage
When you returned home from Korea, a group chat was started so you and the boys could keep each other updated and get hyped for your trip
You heard from at least one member every day during the weeks leading up to your departure
The boys had the month off from all BTS obligations so they had a lot more free time
Most of the boys went home to visit their families
Yoongi was working on his mixtape and occasionally shared lyrics (and you’d tease him for working during their break)
Jin was living his best life just sleeping and gaming
Namjoon reported on the many art museums he visited
Hoseok was working on a song collaboration and would send videos of his dance
Jimin was traveling and checked in every time he arrived somewhere new
Taehyung shared photos he took while traveling with his friends
Jungkook was writing some songs and bounced ideas off of everyone
You worked as a home stager and the boys (especially Yoongi) loved hearing about your job and seeing before-and-after pictures of your work (no one could appreciate a well-chosen lamp quite like Yoongi)
When you weren’t working, you spent all your time preparing for the trip and would occasionally ask the boys what they would recommend for you to pack
By the time departure day arrived, you felt like you had already grown close with all of them and you couldn’t wait to see them again
Departure Day
Logistically, it made the most sense for you to meet the boys in New Zealand instead of flying together
You were a little bummed about it, but you knew you’d have plenty of time together in the coming days
The morning of your flight, a two-man camera crew met you at the airport so they would have footage of you on your way
They also gave you a GoPro camera, which you were a little self-conscious about using
But everyone in the airport was already staring at you because you were being followed by a camera crew, so you decided to just go with it
As you boarded your flight, you were amazed by the first-class seat that had been reserved for you
Your phone chimed with a message as you settled into your spacious and private seat
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You fell asleep soon after takeoff, and slept most of the way
When you weren’t sleeping, you rewatched the The Lord of the Rings movies (‘cause, you know, New Zealand)
Reunited in New Zealand
After flying all day with a brief layover in Los Angeles, you finally arrived in Christchurch, NZ
The view out your window as the plane landed was nothing but snow-covered mountains as far as the eye could see, and it was incredible
You texted the boys as soon as you touched down on the runway
Tumblr media
You and your cameramen made your way through the airport to meet everyone at baggage claim
You spotted Jungkook first, though you almost didn’t recognize him because his hair was noticeably longer than the last time you saw him
When Jungkook saw you his face lit up with a huge smile and he called out to you
The other boys looked up at Jungkook’s exclamation and several of them rushed you
Almost before you could say “hi,” you were swept up in Jungkook’s arms and he was spinning you around as you laughed
As soon as he placed you back on your feet, Jimin wrapped his arms around you, lifting you a few inches off the ground too
“Yah, let the girl breathe! You’re suffocating her!” Yoongi scolded as he approached
You looked to him as Jimin let go of you and your heart did a thing
It wasn’t like when you first met him last month either
That had been nervousness, anticipation, excitement
Now it was like... relief
Because you’d missed him, and you were so happy to see him again
And also relief that he was real, and you hadn’t been imagining all this
Then he gave you a shy smile, and your heart did an even bigger thing
Because, dang it, he was cute
Even with - no, especially with - a mask under his chin, sunglasses on his face, and his hair held back by a headband
You moved to give him a hug and he met you halfway
His embrace felt even better than you remembered, warm and comfortable
You just fit together
But when you wrapped your arms around him, you noticed he felt thinner
You asked him if he lost weight as you leaned out of the hug
Hoseok answered for him, saying he’d lost 4 kilograms over break
“He wanted to impress you, noona,” He teased
Yoongi swatted at him, but Hoseok evaded his reach
After you’d greeted all the boys (minus Jin, as the boys informed you he’d be arriving separately a little later), you headed out of the airport as a group
As soon as you stepped outside, you were met by a cool, fresh breeze, and you were glad you wore long sleeves and leggings
A shuttle bus with a luggage trailer was waiting for you and the boys started loading up their bags
You rolled your suitcase over, but before you could load it, Yoongi wordlessly took it from you and lifted it into the trailer
You tried to thank him, but he shrugged it off
You then climbed into the bus with Yoongi right behind you, and he sat down next to you on the front bench seat
As you waited for the shuttle to leave, the boys asked about your flight and you asked about theirs
They told you all about laying over in Singapore and the awesome airplane with seats that folded down into beds
You told them about your layover and how this was your first time flying first-class
The boys also taught you the Bon Voyage cheer they had come up with for this season, but you decided to wait to actually do it until Jin was there
Then you were on your way to pick up the camper and the SUV you would be using all week
Ready, Set, Go
As you drove through Christchurch, you discussed the clear skies and beautiful weather and your mutual excitement
At the rental company, you and the boys signed forms to be drivers, then were led to a room with a table and office chairs to watch an instructional video
Yoongi held your chair for you as you sat so it wouldn’t roll out from under you, then took the seat next to you
After the video, you went back outside to get a tour of the camper and saw that Jin had finally arrived
You and the boys greeted Jin with enthusiastic hugs
An employee then gave instructions about the camper and pointed out its features
As he explained how to empty the wastewater tank, the boys joked about coordinating their bathroom schedules and showering two at a time (Yoongi’s suggestion)
But they ultimately agreed that, unless there was an emergency, only you would be allowed to use the onboard bathroom and they would use the campsite bathrooms
They also agreed that you would have one of the onboard beds to yourself and they would share the remaining beds or sleep in the tents
Once instructions were finished, the boys started loading the luggage into the camper and once again, Yoongi took your suitcase for you
And you smiled to yourself as you realized his chivalry was going to be a trend throughout your trip
When you were all loaded up and ready to go, you gathered with all the boys and did your first official “Bon Voyage” chant (and you couldn’t help but giggle at the way they pronounced “voyage”, with a long “e”)
You then divided into vehicles, and you followed Yoongi, Jin, and Namjoon to the SUV
Jin got in the driver’s seat, and Yoongi and Namjoon tried to offer you the passenger’s seat, but you declined and opted for the backseat, so Namjoon sat up front and Yoongi joined you in the back
Then, with one more cheer out the window with the camper team, you set out, finally starting off on the real adventure

134 Drowning Mona (00) trying for something like the Coen bros and not getting there
135 Au Revoir Les Enfants (87)
136 *Chasing Amy (97) Affleck is the least alluring movie lead...ever? I also think I gave Joey Lauren Adams’ character short shrift in my memory of the movie. It’s not good, but she’s more complicated than I recalled.
137 Blackkklansman (18)
138 Being Frank (19)
139 Kiki’s Delivery Service (89)
140 Uncle Frank (20) why so many FRANKS

142 Half Baked (98) another, more secret Toronto nostalgia pic - RC Harris water filtration plant as a prison!
143 We’re the Millers (13)
144 All is Bright (13)
145 Defending Your Life (91)
146 Christmas Chronicles (18) I maintain that most new xmas movies are terrible, particularly now that Netflix churns them out like eggnog every year.
147 Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse (18)
148 Reindeer Games (00) what did I say about Affleck??!? WHAT DID I SAY
149 Palm Springs (20)
150 Happiest Season (20)
151 *Metropolitan (90) it’s definitely a Christmas movie
152 Black Christmas (74)
THEATRE:HOME - 2:150 (thanks pandemic)
I usually separate out docs and fiction, but I watched almost no documentaries this year (with the exception of Dick Johnston). Reality is real enough.
TV Series
01 - BoJack Horseman (final season) - Pretty damned poignant finish to the show, replete with actual consequences for our reformed bad boy protagonist (which is more than you can say for most antiheroes of Peak TV).
02 - *Hello Ladies - I enjoy the pure awkwardness of seeing Stephen Merchant try to perform being a Regular Person, but ultimately this show tips him too far towards a nasty, Ricky Gervais-lite sort of persona. Perhaps he was always best as a cameo appearance, or lip synching with wild eyes while Chrissy Teigen giggles?
03 - Olive Kittredge - a rough watch by times. I read the book as well, later in the year. Frances Mcdormand was the best, possibly the only, casting option for the flinty lead. One episode tips into thriller territory, which is a shock.
04 - *The Wire S3, S4, S5 - lockdown culture! It was interesting to rewatch this, then a few months later go through an enormous, culture-level reappraisal of cop-centred narratives.
05 - Forever - a Maya Rudolph/Fred Armisen joint that coasts on the charm of its leads. The premise is OK, but I wasn’t left wanting any more at the end.
06 - *Catastrophe - a rewatch when my partner decided he wanted to see it, too!
07 - Red Oak - resolutely “OK” steaming dramedy, relied heavily on some pretty obvious cues to get across its 1980s setting.
08 - Little Fires Everywhere - gulped this one down while in 14-day isolation, delicious! Every 90s suburban mom had that SUV, but not all of them had the requisite **secrets**
09 - The Great - fun historical comedy/drama! Costumes: lush. Actors: amusing. Race-blind casting: refreshing!
10 - The Crown S4 - this is the season everyone lost their everloving shit for, since it’s finally recent enough history that a fair chunk of the viewing audience is liable to recall it happening.
11 - Ted Lasso - we resisted this one for a while (thought I did enjoy the ad campaign for NBC sports (!!) that it was based on). My view is that its best point was the comfort that the men on the show have (or develop, throughout the season) with the acknowledgement and sharing of their own feelings. Masculinity redux.
12 - Moonbase 8 - Goodnatured in a way that makes you certain they will be crushed.
13 - The Good Lord Bird - Ethan Hawke is really aging into the character actor we always hoped he would be!
14 - Hollywood - frothy wish-fulfillment alternate history. I think the show would have been improved immeasurably by skipping the final episode.

10. how long have you watched 1? I watched it when it aired, even when on vacay with my sweet friend who took me to disney world (thank u i love u), and i tweeted fox and cried when it got cancelled :( that was 2016 SKJDHFKJHDF thank you for the one season it got i guess
11. how did you become interested in 3? i was in 6th grade and i LOOOOOVED monk and my friend was like “kip. check this out.” and suddenly everything i owned had pineapples on it.
12. favorite actor in 4? james arnold taylor! he’s neat. but i also love dee so much. and ashley and matt
13. which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? man they’re all such wildly different moods. voyager is home, scc is food for my creative brain, houdini and doyle is beautiful and lovely and dearly missed
14. which have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3? KDJFHKJFH well uh houdini and doyle has one season and psych has [checks notes] 8 and some movies. so.
15. if you could be anyone from 4 who would you be? kit fisto is the most underrated jedi siri send tweet
16. would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? dont give shaun and gus lightsabers. DO have ahsoka and anakin quote shaun and gus
17. pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely ok couple. not enough characters or deets to make this call ;-; i will continue to mourn this show
18. overall which show has a better storyline, 1 or 3? oh dang! i cant make that call again, bc houdini & doyle was just taking off and barely had time to get its feet off the ground. its more story driven than psych i guess, even though both are “monster of the week” types.
19. which has better theme music, 2 or 4? NO WAIT DONT DO THIS TO ME because bear mccreary went off with scc but also the percussion in clone wars makes me go feral
