hey, quick psa - don't ship content creators. or vocally assume things about their relationships to each other. last night i had to time out two people in boat's chat for being weird about him and jay. and jay wasn't even there. like i totally get where they're coming from but those thoughts should be kept to yourself. imagine how you'd feel if someone did the same thing to you. i know i'd feel uncomfy. also im pretty sure jay has a girlfriend. which kinda makes it worse. it's also a bad idea to like. assume out loud people's sexualities, especially when they've specifically stated something contrary to what you think. which is being done when you ship two content creators of the same gender, both of which are stated to be straight. and even if you miraculously turn out to be correct, you do not know what is happening in one's personal life that may have caused them to refrain from saying so. like look. i know from personal experience it can be hard not to think certain things about people but PLEASE don't go around saying you ship them or anything. they may be on your screen but they are not fictional characters you can play around with willy-nilly. they can see what you say about them and be affected. worst case scenario you ruin a friendship by shipping them. i know no one wants that. so just... even if you do, because i can't police your thoughts, keep it to yourself. signed the moderator who already has enough nonsense to deal with

mm debating selling my nintendo switch lite for a full nintendo switch.. I miss the vibration software and I think i'd play switch games a lot more if I could connect them to my computer (Im not the biggest fan of playing them only handheld).
But also the lite was also a gift so idk if it would be rude? It was from my dad who didn't know there was a difference =w=''

#my drawing#visual art#2023#pre-raphaelite#frederick sandys#shakespeare#the winter's tale#perdita#artists on tumblr#shakespearean heroines#i did this on the same board i've done my other whiteboard drawings that i've posted#idk if i've mentioned this. but it's in the math tutoring center where my sister works lol#i haven't been there in two months. i don't take any math classes anymore so i'm really just chillin in there. sometimes i socialize#sometimes i do my own studying. that's how i started these expo marker drawings. is that i was looking at paintings for inspiration for my#figure drawing final. and id do a sketch in my sketchbook and then copy it from my sketchbook onto the board. and id leave em there#obviously nothing about that is against the rules even if that's not what that room is *for* ... im allowed to just kick back#i always wondered what the other ppl who work in there thought of my whiteboard drawings. bc id leave em up. and sometimes they wouldnt be#erased for like a week or two. hell. the last one i posted (the love potion by evelyn de morgan) was my least impressive imo#but it was only erased like a week ago. it stayed up for like 2 months. kaily told one of her coworkers he could erase it and he was like#'its been there since last year... and out of respect for that i will not be the one to do it.'#lol like they're nice but they're not sacred#but anyway i went at a different time of day and stayed in there for several hours just reading and drawing while other ppl did math#i met three other ppl who worked there that i'd never met before. and they were all like 'oh are you kailys sister who does the drawings?'#i guess some of them really like them lol. it touched my heart#one guy in his 40s also saw i was reading a book on john donne & was pretty interested in that combined w my choice of the winter's tale#i guess he's a bit of an early-modern english lit buff himself. he's a christian. he said he liked george herbert.#he said smth to another student like 'yeah you can do math in here. or you can. draw on the board. or read books about#sixteenth century poets and theologians. whatever you want'#i didnt know anyone there would actually be impressed w anything i do. since it is not stem-related at all.#i guess i bring that old school humanities swag to the math center hahahaha

speaking of my nextgen is it controversial to be like “yay i made a nextgen of this show i like” and then not give the main character any kids at all LMAO
#my perception is like… ash is a traveler first and foremost and hes restless and cant stay in one place#even if he knows he has a home in pallet town its just in his nature to seek out new places#and i think his dad was the exact same way. except he left ash and delia alone to do it#and ash probably feels guilty enough as is just leaving delia and he remembers how he felt when his dad never came home#in my hc they hadn’t actually talked since he was around 6 bc his dad was. shitty tbh#and decided ‘’nah i dont wanna be tied down to a kid for the rest of my life’’#and ash has a ton of conflicting feelings abt his dad and being so similar to him in that theyre both restless#so i think he would just refuse to have kids bc he doesnt want to do that to them#this isnt to say he WOULD 100% repeat the cycle and be an absent dad. the difference between them is that he doesnt just ghost em#(at least in my hc he keeps in contact w everyone bc i dont like that the show implies otherwise)#and he does still visit a lot and call his mom and make time for friends#but hes just nervous that he would put a child in the same situation he was in and he wouldnt want to do that#and also i think he just doesnt want to take care of a kid and prefers his pokemon#and very much prefers being an uncle to all of his friends’ kids#echoed voice

#ive lost like all fear of dogs at this point. i realized that earlier today when a massive rottie started a fight with my boy#and my first instinct on seeing flying teeth was to sprint towards them and shove my body in between#its very possible it was also just all self preservation leaving my body because i am absolutely going to protect my pup#i would probably fight a bear for him there is no question that i would forcibly shove another dog off with my forearm#but fuck. despite the fact that i /know/ better sometimes i have a real real bad fatigue week and i use dog parks. i have like.#a selective list of ones that i will go to categorized by 'least likely to become a boxing ring'. tons of space. multiple separate areas.#i go only at off times when its not busy! i watch dog body language and keep an eye on him at all times.#ill rotate areas if i spot a potential problem. i have him under verbal control and wouldnt even be there if i didnt. but! like!#despite all that. just fucking anyone can go there. ruining the already mediocre experience that is disney's haunted mansion (2023) for my family by sighing very loudly and rolling my eyes when the astrophysicist character is on screen
#txt#sorry. i have autism and it is really not that hard to make an astrophysicist that doesnt just say words you think are cool#also the ''ghost particle'' they talk about in the movie isnt even a particle. the ghosts themselves fluoresce when hit with visible light#and then emit that light in a different portion of the em spectrum than visible. and the camera is made to capture that specifically#which doesnt even make SENSE bc if it captures either uv/ir/radio/etc it wouldnt be able to capture visible light at the same time#unless his phone was being used as a secondary camera and the two images were composited onto one another. which i doubt.#and ALSO! none of that has ANYTHINGGGG to do with dark matter/energy and it is BARELY tangentially related to quantum physics#just by nature of photons being particles i guess. the only thing that he said that was a little bit accurate was the lenses and even then.#he wouldnt be an astrophysicist he would just be a waves/optics physicist. so#and why would you make a CAMERA to detect dark matter anyway?? the defining characteristic of dm is that it is DARK?#it doesn't give off any photons. you know. the thing a camera detects.#and EVEN IF you could take a picture of dark matter. you would need a telescope in space like where jwst is....#not a handheld camera you connect your phone too like LMFAO what was he planning to do with that?!?#sorry. hate this movie
