You never thought something like this would happen to you.
Your bikini top, the one whose string you triple-knotted to make sure it stayed on, came off.
The horror on your face was apparent when a breeze connected to your chest and the fabric attached to your skin disappeared. What’s even worse was that your top fell off right in front of Logan, a man you were crushing on so hard it was ridiculous.
You two were in the water, basking in the sun. It turned to a playful fight, droplets clinging to you as Logan kept attacking you with water. The fight led to him grabbing you and tossing you over his shoulder. When you came up for air, that’s when it happened.
You know he saw you. Your breasts in his line of sight, soaked in that seawater. His eyes were almost out of their sockets with how long he stared at you. You quickly covered yourself up with your arms, seeing your top floating in the water before grabbing it, rushing to get out.
“Where are ya going?” Logan shouted from behind you.
You didn’t answer but heard his rushing footsteps. The rest of the team gawked at the two of you when you ran across the beach—feet dusted with sand, going to the nearest cabana. You felt flustered, face burning up. Now, you’ve made everything awkward. Your relationship with Logan, built on respect and genuine care, was gone. All because your top decided to be complicated.
Logan called your name outside and your muscles tensed.
“You okay?”
No, he just saw your breasts on full display. You were far from okay.
“I’m fine. Go back to the others.”
So you can forget that it ever happened.
“Well, don’t ya need help putting that back on?”
You froze, remembering that your top had four strings. Ororo helped you tie the one across your back the first time.
“Okay, just be quick.”
Your back was still towards him, not wanting to look him in the eye. You tried not to focus on his large, slightly wrinkled hands when he helped you with your top—carefully tying the string against your back. As you handed him the strings to go around your neck, your fingertips brushed along his.
“I’m sorry.” You started apologizing: “I thought the top was tied on tight.”
“It’s alright. Not the first pair I’ve seen before.” You roll your eyes, embarrassment quickly fading away as you remember his conquests. “But they’re the best ones I’ve seen so far.”
You forced out a laugh, “Don’t make me kick you out.”
“I’m serious.” When you turn around, his lowered eyes search your face for any hint to show you were uncomfortable. You weren’t. “I wish I could’ve seen them under different circumstances but fuck, I’m glad I did.”
“What’s the different circumstances?”
Logan glances towards the entrance before going back to you. “In my bed. After I take you out on a few dates.”
“Oh.” You blink at the subtle confession. “Didn’t think you’d last after one date.”
His mouth twitches in amusement, “With someone like you, I can.”
Maybe you were glad that your top did what it did, otherwise you would’ve spent another day pining for Logan. Now, it was clear he also had the hots for you, an idea appeared in your head.
“Wanna see them again?”
Logan let out a low breath and a curt nod. You reach behind you, untying the knot he made. Logan grabbed your top, stuffing it in his pockets, eyes never leaving your exposed chest.
“Fuck me. Look at you…”
His eyes search your breasts. How they sat so prettily, almost shining due to minuscule drops of water on your skin. The way Logan stared at you made your stomach twist. He stepped closer, raising his hand with an urge to touch, not before asking for permission.
You barely got the ‘yes’ out when he’s on you. Logan cupped your breast, groaning at how perfectly you fit in his palm. You grip his shoulder when he leans down and capture your lips in a kiss.
It’s hot and heavy as your tongues slide amongst each other. Logan’s still playing with your breast, flicking the nipple with his thumb. He swallows whatever noises come out of you, not wanting to alert the rest of the team. Your hand digs into his messy hair when he parts to kiss your neck. You warn him not to mark you because you don’t want to be bombarded with questions when you two return home.
Logan listens, only placing kisses on you, trailing down to your chest. The source that started everything. You tug on his hair when he captures a breast in his mouth. While doing so, his arm goes under your bottom to pick you up. The action makes you gasp, your legs wrapping around his waist.
You hold Logan’s face close to you as he’s sucking on your nipple, determined to replace the seawater with his saliva. He lets out another groan when switching to your other breast, wanting to do this to you all day. Your moans let him know you didn’t want him to stop.
“Hey? You two okay in there?”
Scott called, and you tugged on Logan’s hair to get him to stop. “Yeah! We’re fine. We’re about to come out!”
“Okay...”
After hearing Scott walk away from the cabana, Logan growls against your breasts.
“Fucking boy scout.”
You snort, kissing the top of his head, “We can continue when we get back.”
Logan grunts, licking at the valley of your breasts before helping you get down. He ties up your top again and walks you out.

Idk if you know or play Toontown
But if you do, may you make a fluff imagine of meeting Quackity in Toontown and becoming friends with the reader? And later on Quackity has a crush on the reader 😭
hehe i have played toontown before!!
you were only thirteen years old when you met this guy. it was playing trolley games until it hit two a.m. for you.
great conversations were made, some were deep and some were funny. especially because of him. he had such a curious mind. his silly questions were what had you talking to him.
at first, you thought he was a girl. his toon wore a pink bow. he didn’t have eyelashes, so you just assumed ‘she’ clicked the wrong gender. he thought you were a boy, despite your avatar having eyelashes.
things were awkward, but you two managed. boys and girls can be friends, who said they couldn’t?
after you two met, he was the reason why you were on your computer much more than before.
you two would play until dinnertime, you ate breakfast and lunch at your desk.
that was what brought you two closer. he’d ask what you were having, because you don’t live in mexico, and he wanted to see how different things were.
you downloaded skype for him, just to send him food pictures… but it led to talking every hour of the day, and calling for the first time.
you remember seeing his face for the first time… it was on video chat, and a random thought told you that he was cute, but you pushed it away.
he had short and dark hair, beady eyes, and round cheeks that looked pinchable.
after he saw yours, he seemed surprised and a bit nervous… but maybe that was because something like this is huge.
from that day onward, alexis seemed beat up. you weren’t sure what the issue was, he wouldn’t tell you…
not even trolley games distracted him, or golf… you knew how much he hated golf, but you tried your best..
you wanted to cheer him up, and there was a night where it was finally talked about.
his sudden mood swing, you couldn’t take it anymore. you wanted to know what you can do to make him feel better. he’s your friend… you want to help him.
this went from texting to calling, he hardly talked and when he did, his voice was shaky… was he in danger?
“alex, just tell me what’s wrong! i really want to help…” you plead, watching the blue ring on your profile picture disappear and reappear.
you were so serious about this, that all of your focus was on this call. you didn’t visit any other browsers, you stayed on skype and stared at the calling screen.
you hear him take a deep breath, and what sounded like a stressed whine…
you didn’t say anything yet, you gave him time to try and talk to you about what’s been up with him.
“y/n, you’re going to really hate me…” he says.
“what do you mean? i would never hate you! you’re my best friend, alexis—“
he quickly interrupts your reassurance, cursing into the microphone and giving up on hiding this from you.
this news truly brings you into deep shock, and you would’ve never thought he’d say something like this.
“y/n, i fucking like you!” he confesses, his tone sounding tensed, “i have a crush on you.”
you were speechless, and you felt your face heat up… your best friend likes you. oh god.
but he kept going, “you live so far from me… when you talk about how cute some boys are in your school it makes me so upset.”
the more he talked, the more out of touch you were with the world. you can’t even wrap your head around the fact that he likes you.
a cute, funny, and kind boy likes you… he lives so far, but there were random fantasies of him going to your country and kissing you crossing your mind.
oh god, you suddenly feel sick… but in a good way.
you’re going to have a boyfriend.. your first one… and it’s your best friend..
you really like him too, don’t you? you had just realized…
you had to let him know, before he slips away from embarrassment. you two are best friends with feelings for each other, you had to make this work.
“i- hey, alex, i really like you too…”
…he finally stopped talking.
there was silence now, you two were processing this conversation.
“really?” he asks, his tone sounding much better than before…
things are different now, because he’s your boyfriend.
calls were much shyer and exciting, and there was never a second without you two giggling at a word that was said.
there were even some times, he serenades you. he’s so talented with instruments and singing, he performs at his church.
he wrote songs about you, telling you how much he’s always wanted to be a singer… but he couldn’t because he had to pursue law. his father’s wish…
he’s the best boyfriend, and you were sure that if he was more, he’d still be the best for every single one.

౨ৎ purely platonic — m. wheeler
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝐼. pairing/s: mike wheeler x gn!reader
𝐼𝐼. summary: after confessing your feelings to mike, he began avoiding you, leaving you in a state of confusion and heartache. you spent your days pondering over the past, trying to understand what had gone wrong and desperately attempting to forget about the whole situation.
𝐼𝐼𝐼. warnings: mike being an asshole, and miscommunication.
Tumblr media
wouldn't you love to understand what he was truly feeling?
it has been weeks since you confessed and he was full on avoiding you and you were slowly getting tired of it. tired of all the “i need to think about it” yes you understood that of course, god how couldn’t you? you know the feeling but him ignoring you afterwards was just so plainly irritating and you wanted to curl up and die.
“he’s clearly avoiding you. he’s such an idiot, and, it’s not you, okay? he’s just a big pussy who can’t handle his feelings, he’s liked you since you were like what? five years old? lucas told me all about it and look. if he can’t figure out his feelings or if he cant talk to you about it then fuck him.” max said, holding you close as you teared up on her shoulder. it was complicated, and you kept telling yourself to stop crying over some stupid guy.
the same stupid guy you've liked ever since you found out your hair grew from your scalp not your ends.
now, you were stuck in a whirlwind of side glances and an inability to concentrate whenever he was around. he looked so happy, like he forgot everything that happened. and while he was having the time of his life, you were wallowing away in the corner of your room looking at meaningless platonic polaroid photos.
meaningless fucking polaroid pictures – they weren’t meaningless, no, not to you. the polaroid showed mike kissing your temple while you smiled brightly. both of you were covered in paint, you were painting dustin’s garage in this. a few weeks before you confessed.
was he leading me on? you thought, because friends don't typically kiss each other like that. not when one friend despises romance and the other is selectively kind, only to you. he held your hand, hugged you endlessly, and you almost fucking kissed on your birthday. none of that felt purely platonic.
you shouldn’t have ever confessed. everything would’ve gone like normal. and maybe you would never know what he felt about you but he did everything a boyfriend would do. and you just couldn't handle it. you thought you were strong, strong enough to resist the urge to confess, but here you were.
the next morning unfolded like any other. mike was hanging out with his friends, and max had chosen to spend the day with you, which made it pass relatively quickly. on your way home, you decided to stop by a spot that had been a special place for you and mike.
it used to be just the two of you, sharing moments and gazing at the view. the forest had always scared you, but with him, it felt safe. now, you were sitting there alone, lost in your thoughts.
suddenly, a twig snapped, and you turned your head to see mike. his eyes widened, and he offered an awkward smile.
"what are you doing here?" you asked, your disappointment and frustration evident in your voice. "here to reject me? go ahead, be my guest."
mike hesitated for a moment before speaking, "no, i actually, uh… i wanted to apologize. for everything, and yeah. i'm genuinely so sorry and…" you interrupted, "did max and dustin force you into this? you were never one for apologies. it's fine." you put on an awkward smile to ease the tension.
but mike called out your name, "let me finish. please. you hate being interrupted, so stop interrupting me."
you rolled your eyes but nodded, "okay, fine. go ahead. speak."
"i like you—no, i love you too," mike confessed, his words tumbling out with a mix of relief and vulnerability. "god, i was just being a damn coward about it because i didn't want to face you. how could you ever love someone like me? you're popular, you're amazing, you're so smart, and you use big words i can't even understand, and that's what i admire so much about you. jesus christ," he said your name, "i love you so much, you have absolutely no idea how much i just want to kiss you right now—"
before he could finish his sentence, you couldn't contain your feelings any longer. you rushed over to him, grabbed his face, and kissed him passionately. his arms wrapped around your waist, and your arms snaked up over his neck, pulling him even closer.
mike, slightly breathless but with a warm smile, managed to say, "that was… really nice, amazing. but my speech isn't done yet." both of you chuckled, and you urged him to continue, saying, "okay."
"when you said my bike was a little spruce, you were right," mike continued, his voice filled with sincerity. "you're always right. my tire had a hole, and when you helped me study for my biology test, i got a good score, even though ninety percent of it was just admiring you. but still, you get my point. you're too good for me. i don't deserve you."
you laughed softly and retorted, "fuck you, wheeler," while pecking his lips once more before wrapping your arms around him in a tight hug. "don't avoid me next time."
mike replied, "promise."

HOW YOU GET THE GIRL s. harrington x reader
steve cannot fathom how he ended up in scoops after hours reading teen girl magazines with robin, max, el, …and dustin? but anything for you.
Tumblr media
pairing: steve harrington x fem!reader (she/her pronouns)
warnings: cursing, mentions of cuts and wounds
word count: 6k words
my masterlist
Tumblr media
“Hi! What can I get for you?”
“Hello, Robin,” Robin looks taken aback, seeing that customers usually ignored niceties and the worker’s name tags. “I’d like a vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. In a cone, please.”
Your manners were so nice compared to the others and Robin swears you look familiar. And it clicks as she hands you your change.
The dingus’ best friend.
“Right, we just need to get the sprinkles from the back. It’ll be just a sec,” Robin tells you as she grabs the cone.
You stand to the side out of courtesy but it was a Tuesday afternoon so the place wasn’t crowded with other customers yet.
The sound of door hinges captures your attention and it was as if all the air were stolen from your lungs. The once dull ache in your chest put itself front and center once again once you see him. Steve.
Steve who was once your bestest friend in the world until you decided to fuck it all up when your ridiculous mind thought he was going to die from a beating. He’s not your Steve anymore.
His hair was longer and somehow he looked taller but his face– cherub cheeks, pink lips, and beauty marks remained the same. Cute. The features that had most of the teenage girls of Hawkins kissing the ground he walked on. You would have laughed at his sailor-themed work uniform if not for the melancholy memories flooding your mind.
Unbeknownst to you, he was inspecting you just the same. Your hair was shorter, sunkissed cheeks, and an outfit he’s never seen you wear before: a tank top with a geometric design and light wash denim overalls that end mid-thigh. He nearly dropped the bag of ice cream toppings when he caught sight of you.
“Here we go,” Robin said with an awkward chuckle and a flare of her hands. “Rainbow sprinkles.”
“I got it.” Steve insisted with a voice that Robin knew not to argue with.
He grabbed the cone from Robin’s hand and frowned. Vanilla? You were always a chocolate girl. It was one of his favorite things to make fun of you about, in the most lighthearted way obviously.
“Thank you!” Your smile was so infectious that even the middle-aged ice cream man managed to return the expression despite the sweltering heat.
“You’re so weird,” Steve says with a shake of his head.
“For what? Saying thank you? Having manners?” You frown despite knowing that Steve was just teasing.
“No. For getting chocolate with rainbow sprinkles,” He replied. “The cardinal rule of ice cream is chocolates go with choco sprinkles and rainbow’s sweetness goes with others.”
“Says the boy with mint choco chip!” You retort, the corner of your lips fighting to lilt up into a smile. “You’re not convincing me with your made-up rules.”
“Well, I’m the exception,” Steve shrugs, his carefree smirk appearing.
But despite it all, he’d get you all the world’s supply of chocolate ice cream and rainbow sprinkles to keep you happy.
Maybe a lot has changed in the long months since you two drifted apart. Sure, he praised rainbow sprinkles going with vanilla flavors but having chocolate was what made you, you.
“Uh, Steve?” Robin called, wary.
“Right, yeah, sprinkles.”
You watched despite all the bones in your body telling you to look away. The right to gawk at Steve vanished the day he rejected your confession.
“Here you go,” Steve finally said. He even made the effort to walk nearer to you under the pretense of being careful with the ice cream.
You really try not to say the words, but all your life it has always been your heart and not mind speaking for you.
“Thank you.” Your fingers brush Steve’s and you felt like crying. It was warm, how it always has been, despite the cold temperatures of Scoops Ahoy.
His honey-brown eyes burned through yours and in the past this would’ve been the start of a competitive staring contest but now you surrender and look away.
“We have some tables if you wanna…” Robin suggested and you silently nodded before even letting her finish.
What?! Why were you staying? Just the thought of Steve was torture and now you decided to stay at his place of work. Where he was mere meters away from you even though your relationship with each other felt like you were oceans apart.
You made a mental note to leave the shop once you were done with your ice cream so you wouldn’t look like a freak. Not that you didn’t look like one already. Sadly licking away at your ice cream, sulking, and looking miserable at the corner booth. God, you wished you had brought your walkman and headphones with you but who brings that to the mall? It’s a crowded place where you needed to pay attention to your surroundings.
Another customer walked in and Robin inwardly groaned at the complicated order. Good thing she was working the cashier and Steve handled the orders itself. The customer walked away to wait at a nearby table and Robin rolled her eyes in annoyance as she turned to give Steve the order.
“Hey,” She said, snapping her fingers in front of Steve’s dazed eyes.
Still, that didn’t stop the boy from staring at the corner booth and her own eyes followed.
“I thought you two were like tight,” Robin whispered, unable to refrain from prying.
That seemed to grab Steve’s attention as he pushed himself from the table he was leaning on, “What? Who?”
“You and Y/N? I mean you two were everyone’s favorite couple,” She said matter-of-factly. “…Of besties.”
“Piss off.” Steve said, agitated. But for what reason exactly? He knows he’s just feeling that way to mask the immense sadness he’s feeling when you practically ignored him.
“I’m just saying,” Robin shrugged, indifferent to her coworker’s annoyed tone. “Everyone at Hawkins High saw you two together go from inseparable to well.. to this.”
She was right on the money and Steve didn’t want to validate that. Instead, he acted as if he was scooping up ice cream like he wants to be employee of the month. He even served the customer at their table instead of calling their attention to grab their ice cream at the counter. He took the risk of glimpsing at you as he walked back.
You left the store wordlessly and Steve hung his head down low. He’s never opened up about the two of you two to anyone and the prospect of confiding about it to Robin both terrified him and yet it felt like a release.
“I…” He didn’t even know where to start. “I fucked up.”
He was surprised at the silence. At this point, he was expecting a sarcastic quip from his friend but she genuinely looked concerned at what he had to say.
So tell her he did. About how you tended to the wounds that Billy gave him, sobbing and blubbering through your words asking him to stay awake and that you loved him; you loved him more than a best friend should. About how he didn’t say anything back and pretended to ignore what happened even as you called the following days to check up on him. About how a week later he said he was going to Senior Prom with somebody else. Like a fucking idiot.
It was gradual, slow— the way you slipped from his fingertips. The pain was like a bullet not having an exit wound and the pain had to be prolonged as someone tried to extract it from his body. He tried to backtrack and save your friendship. He clutched at the edges of what was left. Trying to pair up with you during projects or volunteering at your club but his efforts were in vain. He saw the way your eyes averted and how you faked your smiles when he was around. The hurt never faded and that metaphorical bullet was still in him.
“But,” Robin huffed, hesitating. “Did you love her back? Do you love her? In the way Y/N meant in her confession?”
That question nearly threw Steve off his balance. Of course, he did. He always has. In a platonic way, in a romantic way. In every way a person can love somebody.
He can’t count how many nights he laid awake thinking about you telling him through teary, earnest eyes I love you. I love you so much, Steve, you’ll be okay. We’ll be okay.
It’s his fault that you two were never okay after that night. He’s loved you for what he can only say his entire life. Ever since your moms set up a play date between their toddlers. He’s a coward who used the excuse that he needed time to think things through. At that point in time, he felt like he still had serious feelings for Nancy and he didn’t want to try something new with you before he had that sorted out. But still, he should’ve addressed it in a way. He knows that now.
“Yeah. Yes.” Steve replies with conviction.
Robin’s expression lightens at her friend’s admission. A plan was already brewing in her mind.
“Okay. Tell me when’s the next time those kids of yours come around.”
—+—
The day they came around was 3 days later, Friday. Another movie was released, called Back To The Future or something like that and of course, the kids wanted to use the employee hallways to avoid the usual Friday mall crowd.
Usually, Steve let them do it without a word other than his usual warnings but Robin asked him to let her talk to them first.
Lucas was ringing the bell, his other hand linked with Max’s. Perfect, Robin thinks.
“Alright,” She slams her palms down on the counter to assert her authority. The kids look on in curiosity. “I need to talk to you before you take advantage of our workplace access again.”
“Us?” Mike asks, impatient.
“No,” Robin rolls her eyes before pointing to Max. “To you.”
The girl frowns in confusion but lets herself be led by Robin towards the back.
“Uhm..? Is everything okay?” Max asks, crossing her bare arms to fight the cold.
“Yeah, totally. It’s just, I know you skate and all that but is it possible you have teen girl magazines? Like seventeen or others like that?” Robin lets out in a single breath and she’s thankful Max understood all that.
The red-haired girl flushes at admitting that yes, she does have said magazines but some she let Eleven borrow for the meantime.
“Cool. Are you allowed to go to the mall tomorrow? With Eleven and the magazines?”
“Uh. Sure?” Max answered, wary of Billy but she figured he was too busy going on dates with the public pool patrons.
“Hellooo?” Dustin barges in. “What is this? Some no boys club?”
“Don’t be a jerk.” Steve delivers a light slap to the boy’s head.
“You’re a jerk.”
“Whatever. You two done?” Steve asks the girls with a kinder tone. He needs to be nice to Robin for this one.
“Yeah, go on through,” Robin opens the back door for the kids with a flourish before she turns to Max. “The mags are for Steve by the way.”
“Dude!”
Max grins. She was a bit hesitant to say yes to Robin’s whims but now she was entertained.
“Me and El will be right on time tomorrow.”
—+—
The weekends were every mall worker’s nightmare. And since it was the summer, Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Parlor had no customer shortage.
Steve was muttering under his breath, annoyed at the customer who argued with him for five minutes about spare change. He was about to glare at the person next in line when–
“Hi.”
Steve nearly spilled all the change in his hands at the sound of your voice. It was timid, a tone he didn’t like when used to address him, but still your lovely, lovely voice.
“Hello!” He could’ve stopped at that. “Ahoy!”
You giggled. You actually giggled.
Any trace of annoyance left his body in an instant. You looked different today. Not physically but with more how you carried yourself. Your sweet disposition that he loved so much was back. Gone were the sad eyes you had the last time you came into the store. Still, you were a vision in your sleeveless pink chiffon dress.
“What can I get ‘ya?” Steve asked in a cheery voice, doing everything he can in his power to keep that subtle smile on your face.
“A waffle cone, please. With chocolate ice cream.”
He felt his heart tug at that, “Any toppings?”
You shook your head no and he briefly glanced at the sprinkles container to the side, unsure what to feel.
You stood at the exact place you waited last time after paying.
“Robin! Cashier!” Steve called out, wanting to personally make your order and hand it to you again. Anything to feel your skin graze his once more.
You watched him work his way around the ice cream, just like you did a few days ago. He was magnetic. You always struggled to fight the urge to look away from him when he wasn’t looking back.
Despite the long line, Steve was sluggish in his movements. Based on the few moments you managed to observe his and Robin’s rapport, you wondered why she wasn’t scolding him for being slow in making this particular order. You willed your heart to slow down and your mind to avoid any delusions.
He walked to you again to give you the ice cream.
“Here you go,” His voice. So much sweeter than the dessert you were about to consume. You missed hearing it and you felt sad again, just like you did last Tuesday.
“Thank you,” You grabbed the cone from his hands, equally as slow. “Steve.”
You swear you heard his breath hitch but you didn’t want to feed yourself any more hope of rekindling what you had once with him.
“You’re welcome.” He said, eyes fixed on you with that heart-stopping smile.
You felt defeated when you saw that all the tables and seats were occupied. You really wanted to stick around… for the cold the store provided in this summer heat. Today was hotter than usual so..
“You can stay at the back.”
Robin’s voice startled you and you were thankful you didn’t drop the cone in your hands.
“No, no, that’s okay,” You eyed the customers, afraid they’ll get mad at your special treatment. “I’ll just find a spot at the food court.”
“And find even more occupied crowded seats?” Robin asked, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
You hung your head. Robin noted it was oddly exactly like the way Steve does.
“Okay.” You bit your lip and followed her.
What were you doing? This was your best— ex-best friend’s line of work. The outside was already dangerous territory for your fractured heart and now you were invading more of his space. You needed to get away.
Almost like she could read your mind, Robin placed a hand on your shoulders and continued walking towards the back.
“Have fun,” Robin gave you a toothy grin with both her hands in thumbs-up before going back to work.
Have fun with what exactly? You gulped when you saw the familiar backpack strewn on a table. You were reminded that you didn’t bring your walkman again to serve as your distraction. Idiot.
You ate your ice cream in silence, the chatter from the customers outside and Robin and Steve’s voices greeting the patrons were what filled the empty back room.
You sat up in alarm when you heard Steve shouting at somebody.
“Don’t go in there!”
You squeaked in surprise when the door was thrown open and you thought it would be some angry manager but you were met with the sight of a kid, probably a pre-teen, carrying something that looked like a radio prototype. He was wearing a green and yellow hat and looked just as surprised but he was quicker to recover.
“I just need to borrow a few for batteries, Steve!” The kid shouted and you looked on in confusion. “And since you won’t let me get from the tip jar…”
The kid made a beeline towards Steve’s backpack and pulled out a wallet. It was still the same plain leather brown one Steve carried since freshman year. He opened the wallet and instead of grabbing any money, he turned to you with wide eyes.
“Oh my god, of course! You’re the girl in Steve’s wallet! You have longer hair here—“
“Henderson, I swear to God!”
Steve came barreling in and you looked like a deer in headlights and stared at him unabashedly. His eyebrows furrowed before looking at Dustin and he wanted the ground to swallow him whole right then and there.
“Hey, Steve, cute pic of you two,” The kid shrugged, as if his words didn’t affect the two older teenagers in front of him in the cruelest way. “I’m Dustin, by the way.”
“H-hello, Dustin,” You managed to blurt out, accepting Dustin’s outstretched hand.
“Nice finally meeting you, Y/N, even though I see you in school sometimes,” He talked as fast as Robin did. “Anyways, gotta go, I’ll pay you back, Steve!”
Dustin walked out of the room in a rush, meaning that he haphazardly dropped the wallet and it coincidentally fell at your feet.
Your manners were a big part of you and of course you bent down to pick up the item without hesitation. It felt as if you were kicked in the ribs when you saw the polaroid slip out from the wallet.
It was the summer before junior year, your birthday party held in the garden of your home. You may have slipped some tequila into the punch without your parents' permission but in your defense, it was just the right amount to give a baby buzz. Steve had wrapped his arms behind you in surprise. You should’ve known he was up to something when Tommy appeared in front of you laughing and holding his polaroid camera.
“Alright, lovebirds, smile!”
Your joyful expression was a result of Steve placing a kiss on your cheek for the photo and Tommy somehow managed to capture the exact moment your demure smile turned into a full blown grin.
On the white part below, yours + Steve’s initials were written in permanent marker with the word 4Ever.
He dated Nancy Wheeler shortly after that.
“I-uhm,” You stuttered, handing Steve his things with shaky hands. “Here you go.”
“Thanks.” Steve managed to let out in a whisper.
“I should go,” Here you go again, avoiding looking into Steve’s eyes. “Thank you for the ice cream and the seat or space or… yeah. Bye.”
You didn’t wait for his farewell when you rushed out Scoops Ahoy with tears already running down your rouged cheeks. You cried in the secluded area of the parking lot.

Dustin’s a persistent child. That trait mixed with his penchant for being nosy was the perfect recipe for giving Steve Harrington a headache.
“I told you nothing’s going on,” Steve groaned, hands on his hips.
Dustin raised an unimpressed brow, “Okay. Then why are you still here then? If it’s just the girls?”
“Because I need to make sure everything’s locked up.”
“Robin can do that, can’t she?” Dustin replied without missing a beat. “What magazines was she talking about yesterday?”
“Isn’t it past your bedtime?” Steve asked, evading the question he was scared Dustin was going to get answers to. One way or the other.
“It’s summer vacation.” Dustin deadpanned.
A store nearby was finally closing and that caught Steve’s attention for a split second, but Dustin took that opportunity to make his way towards Scoops Ahoy like a slippery eel.
The mall was dark and devoid of its usual neon lights, the ice cream parlor being the only major light source left on. This better work, Steve thought, exasperated.
“What the shit? These are the magazines for you?” Dustin exclaimed, going through the pile while ignoring the glares from the girls.
“Hey.” Eleven scolded.
“This,” Steve said, pointing at the magazine pile. “Is all Robin’s idea.”
Robin scoffed, “You know, I think you need to be nicer to the ones helping you get the love of your life back.”
Dustin looked dumbfounded.
“Oh my god, is that why Y/N Y/L/N was here earlier?” Dustin gasped. “But if you two aren’t friends then why was she here?”
“Because I’m a genius. More than those who go to science camps,” Robin tugged on Dustin’s wrist so he could sit down. “Now, are we going to help this dingus get the girl of his dreams?”
“That’s romantic,” Eleven said with a breathy sigh and hands under her chin.
“I know just the pages,” Max muttered, still feeling a little shy about the teen girl magazine fiasco.
“My god,” Robin said in disbelief as her eyes roved over the articles. “This sounds like a marriage proposal instead of first stage boyfriend-girlfriend stuff.”
“What does it say?” Steve asked, ignoring Dustin’s inquisitive stare.
Robin pushed the magazine towards him.
How to apologize to your girlfriend after a fight
By Betty McCartney
Steve immediately cringed. He decided to only read the highlighted parts instead.
Say you want her and nobody else.
The following text mentioned something about having arguments over jealousy but Steve decided to nitpick that sentence.
He hasn’t wanted anybody else for a long time now but he does want you. He always wants you. There’s this void in his heart that was left hollow ever since you dissipated from his life.
“These are so corny,” Max huffed, reading a different magazine.
“Yeah but you want Lucas to do those too, don’t you,” El teased in a sing-song voice and Dustin joined in.
Max rolled her eyes, her freckled cheeks dusted with a light shade of red.
“We’re here for Steve and Y/N so here,” Max handed her magazine over with a page opened.
How you get the girl!
By Alison Alwyn
Steve couldn’t help but agree. They were corny. But the advice seemed heartfelt and he hoped that it was actually going to help him get his best girl back.
—+—
It was 10 pm, and the mall was already a ghost town. Steve decided that he better bring the kids back to their homes or else he’ll get the brunt of it all.
They all collectively groaned when they exited Starcourt and saw the pouring summer rain. It wasn’t a light drizzle; it was the one with terrifying lightning and thunder overhead.
Steve immediately thought of you. You hated thunder. This instinct to see how you were holding up overwhelmed him. It was ridiculous, your house is as safe as it can be but he’s been over at your house on more rainy days than he can count on both hands.
The last stop was Eleven’s, or technically Jim Hopper’s, house. She and Max ran in the rain giggling.
“Good luck,” The girls said in unison before exiting his car. He noticed they left two magazines in the back on purpose.
Steve actually felt warm at the support Robin and the kids gave him. They were truer friends than some of the others he hung out with back in school. He took their good luck with a genuine smile and waited to use that luck the next time you showed up in Scoops.
Thunder rumbled in the sky and try as he might to ignore his reckless gut, Steve decided to jump the gun and drive over to your place. Just to check up on you, he thought. Nothing less, nothing more. Although he did want something more he wouldn’t push it if it made you uncomfortable.
The streets and turns he had to take were familiar. He hasn’t driven here in a while but the roads were seared into his brain after years of picking you up and driving you home.
“Steve, my parents are going to kill me.”
“And me,” He said with a shrug. His sixteen year old bravado getting the best of him.
“Can’t you practice driving when it’s not raining cats and dogs outside?” You shrieked as he started backing up from your driveway.
He arrived at your place just as the first heavy raindrops fell. You told him he was crazy, going around in such conditions without a license.
“It’s still going to rain when I do have my license so this is actually good because I’m preparing for real-life situations,” He argued with that smug smirk of his. These were moments you found butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
In a blink, Steve found himself on your street. He can see that there were picnic tables littered in your front yard. That wasn’t there the last time he came over, which was probably six months ago now.
The rain was still pounding and Steve’s heart was beating the same in his chest. He could see the lights in your bedroom were still on but the rest of the house was dark. Your parents were probably on the same business trip his parents went on.
Steve cursed under his breath when he saw that the only place he was going to be able to park was across from your house. Although one of the girls did mention that the rain was quote-on-quote romantic.
He cursed once again when he saw that he didn’t have his jacket in the backseat. He has to ruin his Scoops uniform but thought nothing of it since it was his day off tomorrow.
Well, here goes nothing.
Steve rushed from his car to your front doorstep, the rain and cold wind hitting his skin like pinprick needles. He was shaking like a cat by the time he took cover by your doorstep and contemplated between knocking or pressing the doorbell. He decided to do both.
His entire body was drenched and his once voluminous hair was flat and dripping water down his forehead. He was shivering as he tried to listen in to your footsteps.
The door finally swung open and the sight of you filled him with so much warmth that the rain didn’t stand a chance.
“Steve?!” You exclaimed, obviously shell shocked. “What are you doing here?”
He tried to let out a reply but his teeth were chattering so much that he only managed to muster a shaky grin.
“Are you insane?!” Your voice pierced through the rain and your warm hand grabbed his wrist before pulling him inside your house.
You were a blur in his eyesight as you whizzed around, talking about grabbing towels and new clothes. Steve stayed standing on the welcome rug so he wouldn’t make a mess on the floor, your parents would probably be mad, although they didn’t do the cleaning of the house themselves.
“Here, here,” You panted, wrapping a fuzzy towel around Steve’s shaking form and you stood on your tiptoes to wrap a smaller one around his hair.
“Thanks,” Steve finally said and took in your form.
You looked adorable in your loose knit sweater, checkered shorts, and mismatched socks. Your hair was up and your angelic face devoid of makeup. He missed seeing that.
He’s seen you grow from a bare-faced child to a young lady. Steve’s heart practically stopped the first time you wore shimmery pink lip gloss in sixth grade.
“C’mon,” You whispered, tugging on his wrist again for a split second.
He followed you into the spacious kitchen. You told him to sit down while you make tea to warm him up and who was he to turn down being doted on by you?
The silence was palpable. The only sound in the kitchen was the boiling kettle and Steve was trying to find the courage to say something. He really needed the luck Max and Eleven bestowed upon him. You had your back to him and it was obvious that your posture was rigid. He could still read you well.
You quickly worked on giving him the steaming mug. He sat up, alarmed when you left the kitchen swiftly and without a word. Though, the sounds of you rummaging around sent a wave of relief through his cold body.
He was sipping on the hot drink when you entered again, this time holding a pile of clothes. Steve recognized his old athletics department shirt. You still had his stuff?
“Here’s all I can get, I don’t think you’ll like my dad’s clothes,” You bit your lip as you looked down, “Sorry, I don’t have any… knee high socks.”
It was a teasing jab at his Scoops uniform and Steve couldn’t bite back his smile.
“It’s fine, management has more,” Steve teased back and got up like it’s muscle memory. He still knows his away around your house.
He suddenly stopped in his tracks and looked back, this time he finally caught your eyes, “Thank you, Y/N.”
You didn’t look away when you gave him a minuscule smile.
That smile masked the different emotions you felt the moment you swung open your door. You didn’t know who to expect when you heard the series of knocks but Steve Harrington was last on your list. That didn’t mean you were disappointed. Confused but not disappointed.
You assumed he went straight to you after work since he was wearing that ridiculously cute sailor’s outfit. But why did he come over? Nearly midnight, his pale skin making the ever vibrant Steve Harrington look like a ghost in the rain. Somehow, you think he was a figment of your imagination, a result of being lonely in this massive house. Your lonely days a few years ago would quickly be eradicated by Steve coming over with no warning. Tonight, it seems that he has done the same. For nostalgia’s sake? Just because you came by Scoops twice this week?
Turns out, you weren’t hallucinating when he returned to the kitchen, wearing the clothes you gave him. Technically, it is actually his own clothes but just the ones you shoved to the back of your closet all those months ago when you decided to distance yourself from him. It had been one of the hardest decisions in your life.
You wanted to yell at him. Throw accusatory words about what the hell he’s doing here after breaking your heart. Steve has been with too many girls to not know when he’s left them lying in heartache. Your brain wanted to tell him to get out and don’t ever think about coming back, but then you would be lying to yourself.
Yet you didn’t say a word. Not when he looked like that. You swear he’d worn the same outfit back in Sophomore year. Only this time he was taller and his hair, though damp, was more beautiful than ever. You felt weak in the knees.
“Y/N,” He started. You knew that tone of voice, never forgot it really. Steve was about to say something important and serious, he was just really nervous about saying the wrong thing.
You looked into his eyes. It hurt your entire being to do so but you figured he needed a little encouragement and you really really wanted to hear what he had to say to you after showing up in the rain.
“I’m sorry. I’m so so sorry,” Steve finally let out and he felt a flood open, “I was such an asshole– I’m such an asshole and a coward for… doing that to you.”
“Doing what, Steve?” You hated how your voice cracked.
“Breaking your heart,” He said with conviction and his shoulders slumped at the teary frown on your face. “Ignoring that you said you loved me because I was too afraid to tell you that I felt the same.”
Blood rushed into your ears and you could see Steve’s lips moving but you could barely register his words.
“What?”
Steve immediately stopped and took careful steps towards you until he was in your personal space. When you didn’t move away, he took that a sign to cup your cheeks in his hands. You only noticed that stray tears were falling from your eyes when his thumbs gently swiped them away– just like he always did when you cried.
“I love you,” He whispered and you felt your lips wobble some more. “I always have and always will.”
“Stop,” You sobbed but didn’t move away. “I barely had a boyfriend back in school while you dated so many girls. You can’t just barge back into my life telling me this.”
“I know, I’m sorry,” Steve nodded with his own teary eyes. He lead the two of you to sit down. “I don’t expect anything, Y/N. I just want you to know how awful I feel. It’s haunted me since the day you said it.”
You could only nod. You thought you had your feelings in check but his words echoed in your head. Steve felt the same. He loved you– he loves you. You let out another broken sob.
“I miss you so much, Y/N,” Steve’s voice cracked just like yours did. You know he’s being truthful.
You let yourself be pulled into his arms and you nuzzled your face into the crook of his neck, undoubtedly staining the shirt with your tears.
“I miss you too, Steve,” His arms tightened around you. “But I don’t know where to go from here.”
You weren’t ready to jump from one phase of your relationship with Steve to another extreme. Treading careful grounds would be a precaution to avoid giving yourself whiplash and having another fall out with the boy you loved. Still love.
“I want us to be in each other’s lives again. If that’s what you want,” The words you dreamt of him saying finally came to life. More melodramatic but it was still the words you needed to pull you away from your misery.
“Okay,” You found yourself nodding. “I just don’t know if it will be easy for me.”
Now was the time to be honest. This was the start of reconciliation. This time you’ll forgive, despite the urge to fight. You miss him too much to be mad anymore.
“Then, let’s take it slow?” He suggested. “Like how I taught you how to ride a bike? Though I’ll be more patient this time around I promise.”
You giggled and pulled away from his neck to face him. Your heartbeat sped up when you saw his eyes light up.
In all the years you knew him, Steve never broke a promise he made you. So when he says this vow to you it reminded you of how the good times used to be.
His unintentional rejection of you was torment but you feel like half of that pain was caused by your own choice to ignore his attempts at making it up to you. It was hurt to an extreme degree but you always have space in your heart for Steve.
“Okay,” You repeated. “No rushing.”
“No rushing,” Steve said, hands reaching out to hold yours. You gulped when you saw his biceps strain against the sleeves of the old shirt. “I’ll be nice and wait. Even if it’s for forever.”
You smiled through snot and tears, “Did you get that from a magazine?”
When Steve didn’t answer immediately and the familiar flush rushed up from his neck to his cheeks, your heart felt so much lighter and you started laughing.
“Oh my god, you totally did!” You laughed more at the idea of Steve reading a magazine with cheesy advice. “You promise?”
He nods, “I want you in my life, Y/N. And this time no more running from problems, for worse or for better.”
And even though he broke your heart, you know that Steve will put it back together.
Steve knows that he would have to grovel and crawl on his knees to earn your forgiveness and he’d do that for the rest of his life just to make sure he wouldn’t make you cry again.
“Will I get a complimentary chocolate ice cream with rainbow sprinkles next time I’m at Scoops Ahoy?”
Steve pulls you into a hug and mumbles the word forever into your shoulder. That’s how he got the girl.

Steve Harrington. The boy you loved… for four years. The boy you would’ve done anything for, like watch five or six kids with. The boy who made your heart skip a beat with every glance, every touch, the sound of his voice.
Steve was your everything, as you were his. He would’ve done anything for you, as well. He would’ve moved mountains for you. Even fight off demogorgons, demodogs, Russians and Mind Flayers.
You and Steve began your relationship way back in the eighth grade, after he confessed to having feelings for you. You both were paired up for an English project at the start of the year, becoming friends fast before he… well, confessed his feelings near Christmas break. Seeing past all the differences in middle school, you both decided to give it a shot.
You both came from different lifestyles; Steve came from the rich lifestyle with his big two story home and drove a 1981 BMW, and you came from the middle class lifestyle with a normal two story home and drove a 1981 Ford Escort.
The both of you talked about the future after you graduated from high school. Like, how you wanted to rent a small apartment, while he wanted to just stay at his house since his parents were gone more often than not.
Steve wanted a big family with like five or six kids, while you were perfectly content with having two. He wanted a big house to fit his family in, and you wanted a smaller house.
Slowly but surely, you started to realize that the two of you didn’t seem to have that much in common when it came to your future. You wanted the simplest things whereas Steve wanted the more lavish lifestyle.
That’s where things started to take a small turn for worse. As you were packing some of your things from his drawers, Steve had come home early from his shift at Family Video, noticing the box sitting at the foot of the stairs.
He’d asked you what the box was for, and so you explained it to him; that you were moving back in with your parents until you found a small apartment for yourself.
You both held each other and cried, not wanting the relationship to end, but you both mutually decided that that was probably for the best before you kissed his lips one last time before getting up with the box in hand to walk out of the door. You swore that day that you didn’t want to see Steve again because it would hurt too much to see him.
Your wish wasn’t granted, as Dustin Henderson called you and asked if you would help plan a birthday party for Steve. Not wanting to at first, you gave in, hearing the desperation in the young teenager's voice.
So, about a month later with lots of planning on yours and Dustin’s end, Steve’s party was on. The whole party was there; Dustin - obviously -, Mike, Lucas, Will, Max and El. Robin invited herself, as did Nancy and Jonathan.
Steve expected to see everyone when he walked in his front door, everyone’s cars parked outside. He didn’t expect to see you, though.
As he walked up to you, he gave you a shy smile. “Hey, Y/N.”
You reciprocated the smile, heart beating a little faster than was previously due to a small spike in your anxiety. “Hey, Steve.”
An awkward hug was shared between you both, you almost melting into his touch, but stopped yourself before you could. Steve felt you tense up slightly, letting you go.
He cleared his throat, ready to ask you a question before two hands pressed into the tops of his shoulders.
“Harrington! Happy Birthday, man!”
Steve chuckled, turning halfway to face the other older teen. “Munson, hey! I didn’t expect to see you here.”
“And miss out on a Harrington birthday? Never,” Eddie said. With his signature smile, his eyes turned to you, saying, “Y/N/N! How’s it going? Haven’t seen you around in a while.”
“Yeah, where have you been? We miss seeing you!” Robin said.
“That’s what I said!” Dustin added.
You looked at Steve, tears threatening to line your waterline. “You didn’t tell them?”
At the shake of his head, you turned yours back to the group, sighing. “We broke up.” At everyone’s groans, shocked gasps and immediate yelling, you yelled over them, “It was a mutual decision!” Once they calmed down, you finished. “We realized that we didn’t see eye to eye on some things, so we both agreed to call things off. Now, before it gets cold, everyone go eat. Pizza, cake, I don’t care.”
Before anyone could say anything, you walked to the front door to open it. Closing it behind you, you let out the sob you were holding before going to sit on the hood of your car.
Steve watched you and wanted to follow, but didn’t in fear of you screaming in his face. You never did, but he just didn’t want to take that chance. He swore that he saw the look in your eyes once when you two were arguing about something that didn’t even matter now, but he still just didn’t want to take that chance.
“Did she leave?” Max asked after about ten minutes of you being outside.
“I don’t know,” Steve muttered. “But I’m going to find out.” He set his drink down, starting his walk towards the door before a hand landed on his shoulder.
“What are you doing?”
Looking back at Nancy Wheeler, Steve sighed and looked back towards the door. “I’m going to see if she’s okay.”
“If I know anything about that girl, it’s that she needs a little time to herself to think everything over,” Nancy said. “And to also cry.”
He thought about it for a moment before sighing. He’d been wondering what you were doing in your car for all this time.
You were sad that you were missing the party. Thing is, though, is that you’ve been thinking about Steve off and on for the past three to four weeks. You thought you’d be ready to move on and focus on yourself, but you weren’t. You wanted Steve.
You both tried to fake it like you were perfectly fine without the other, but in reality, you both wanted each other badly, and you both have been feeling pretty shitty about the whole breakup.
While crying in your car, you thought about all the good times you’d spent with Steve, seeing his smile when you walked into a room or his house. How you’d both cuddle on the couch watching a movie, laughing at the latest episode of Family Ties. How before Starcourt was attacked by a gigantic Mind Flayer, you and Steve would walk around on his lunch break, looking at stuff for yourselves, each other, your future home.
You smiled to yourself, wiping your tears away before reaching into your backseat to grab the pen and notebook you kept in there for writing grocery lists and reminders.
You hadn’t even noticed Steve looking at you from outside the door. You giggled to yourself as you wrote before wiping away the tears again.
Steve was wondering what you were doing, laughing to yourself, wiping at your face. He knew that you’d been crying, but to see you laugh? He didn’t expect it. When you looked up, eyes dancing around to think of what to write next, Steve took a few steps forward.
You were in your own little world, not caring about the real world around you. You were just focused on writing this little letter. When you were done, you folded the paper up like how you used to, writing on the front of it.
Putting the pen and notebook into the passenger seat, you checked your makeup in the rearview mirror, noticing smudges of mascara next to your eyes. After fixing yourself up, you exited the car and started walking back towards the house, stopping when you noticed Steve. “What the hell, Steve?! You almost gave me a heart attack.”
Chuckling, Steve replied, “Sorry.” He straightened up some before continuing, “I, uhm, I got worried about you, so I came out here to see what you were doing.”
Smirking, you took a couple steps closer. “Or to see if I was under Vecna’s trance?” “That, too,” he nodded. You both chuckled before you looked down at your hands.
“Oh, uhm,” you said. “This–this is for you.”
Taking the folded paper from your hand, Steve raised a brow, asking in a deadpan tone, “A letter?”
Mocking hurt, you said, “Yes, a letter. What do you take me for? A twelve year old?” “Well, you did write a lot of letters at twelve.”
Shoving him lightly, you chuckled, “Shut up.”
Steve laughed, you joined for a moment. When you both calmed down, you decided to speak on your thoughts. “I, uhm…” you started. “Life’s been kinda shit here lately.”
“What do you mean,” Steve asked, brows furrowed.
“Just that. Life’s been shit.” Gesturing to the letter, you said, “The letter explains it better. You know I’m better at writing my thoughts than I am expressing them through actual speaking words.”
“Guys, get back in here!” Dustin said. “We’re gonna do the cake!”
“Guess we better go back inside,” you said, walking past Steve.
After he followed you back inside the house, you all sang Happy Birthday to the man, watching him blow his candles out. Everyone basically cut their own piece, grabbing some ice cream if desired, before Eleven exclaimed that it was time for presents.
Once the gifts were opened, Steve thanked everyone before they left, as it was already getting super late.
Since you were taking Dustin home, the two of you left after cleaning up from the party, you reminding Steve that he could read the letter once he heard or saw your car take off down the road.
Steve watched as you drove away with Dustin in the passenger seat, the young teen asking, “What did you write him?”
As you looked in the rearview mirror, seeing Steve looking down, you replied, “The truth.”
Steve walked back into the house once your tail lights were nothing but little squares. He toed off his shoes at the bottom of the staircase after locking the front door, and walked up to his room.
Sitting on his bed, he sighed, nervous about what you put in the letter. With slightly shaking hands, he opened the letter, seeing your beautiful handwriting, chuckling and laughing when it was appropriate.
Dear Steve,
I can’t believe I’m actually writing you a letter like I used to. Feels very nostalgic. Don’t you miss those days when we were teenagers? We didn’t have a care in the world until it almost ended.
I guess I should go ahead and get to the point of this letter before I drag it out too long and have to write on at least three different pages, front only.
Those four years we were together for were amazing. The love we had for each other topped the other boys I thought I loved, and I’m sure it was the same for you… but with girls. You showed me things I thought I’d never get to experience. When I was nervous for our first time, you showed me in that way that I didn’t need to be scared or nervous. You had me, and it showed.
I loved our life together, and when I think about it…  I still do. Even though we had our differences with how we saw our future together, I still pictured myself growing old with you, no matter where we lived, no matter how many kids we had, just… no matter what in general.
Truth is, I’ve been pretty shitty without you. Life’s been shitty. I’ve cried almost every day since the breakup, and the only thing I want to do is run back into your arms. I wanna kiss you so fucking passionately that ends with us rolling in the sheets.
Not being with you is making me feel so depressed that sometimes I wish Vecna would take me, but then I think about you. How you would feel. Devastated. So, then I fight. I get up and push those thoughts away because…
You’re it for me, Steve. You always have been and you always will be.
I understand if you want to try some new things, experience new things, be with someone else. If that’s your decision, I’ll respect it. But, if I’m it for you… you know how to get to my bedroom.
I love you,
           Y/N
Steve wasted no time in running back down the steps to put his shoes back on. He grabbed his keys and unlocked the front door, closing it behind him and running to his car, where he almost slipped and fell round the vehicle.
Racing to get to your house, he made it by the time you were standing at your front door, getting ready to unlock it, but you ended up turning around at hearing a car pull into your driveway.
Walking a couple feet towards the vehicles that were parked in your driveway, you noticed Steve’s car, watching him get out. “Steve?” As he got closer, you started to ask what he was doing at your house before he crashed his lips onto yours.
Without hesitation, you kissed him back, putting your hands on his elbows, as his hands had cupped your cheeks upon him kissing you.
Before things could heat up too much, you pulled away, taking in a deep breath. “What are you doing here?”
“I love you, too,” he whispered. “I always have. I’ve also been doing pretty shitty since we broke up, and I can’t imagine my life without you. Be mine again. You’re it for me. We’ll compromise, bring our lifestyles together.”
“What about the kid thing?” you smiled.
“We’ll talk about it.”
You held your smile, looking deep into Steve’s eyes. “Okay.”
“Yeah?” he asked.
“Yeah.”

OVERHEARING SOMEONE TALK ABOUT THEIR S/O
Tumblr media
characters ♡ baji, mikey & mitsuya
tw ♡ insults (in reference to the reader), violence & robbery
Tumblr media Tumblr media
KEISUKE BAJI
♡ baji never mentioned that he was dating you to anyone in toman
♡ in fact, he hoped that none of them even knew about your existence, because that would only lead to trouble; and he was correct
♡ he was simply taking a puff on his stationary motorcycle, when members of the division started to filter into the parking lot that he was currently trying to relax in
♡ usually he’d try to ward off strangers so he could enjoy his time alone but he knew these guys from toman, so he allowed them to stay as long as they’d keep their voices down and not bother him
♡ most of his attention was on his own thoughts, but it was immediately redirected when he heard your name brought up in their conversation
♡ only your last name, so he wasn’t even certain whether they were talking about you, but still his interest was piqued
♡ “they are on shift friday night, the only one left at eleven,” one of the guys explained, gesturing to his bat with a wicked smirk, “we’ll break in then. i’ll drive getaway.”
♡ “what if they call someone? shouldn’t we wait until they’ve left?” another suggested but was quickly corrected.
♡ “once they lock up the security system activates and it’ll be impossible to get in without alerting the cops. so we may as well bust in, handle them, and then steal the bikes.”
♡ baji cringed, since he was certain that they were talking about you —since you happen to work at a motorcycle shop on friday nights — he hated to think about what they meant by ‘handle’.
♡ “now stop askin’ stupid questions.” the same guy scoffed, twirling around his bat, “i used to work there, idiot, obviously i know what i’m doing.”
♡ the group of six all laughed at the one poor guy who asked the question, and baji did too
♡ he laughed at the irony behind how they were calling each other idiots, when they were all the ones talking about auto theft in broad daylight, and discussing doing unspeakable things to a person, when their boyfriend was standing in ear-shot with a bat and a motorcycle ready
♡ he did give them the benefit of the doubt in the latter aspect though; how were they supposed to know that y’all were dating when you are never seen spending time with each other?
♡ baji suddenly felt bad; it dawned on him that perhaps he had been neglecting your relationship as of recently. of course, it wasn’t with poor intention, in fact he thought he was taking the moral course of action by avoiding a situation where you are harmed because of his ties with toman
♡ however, being in a gang was no excuse to be a bad boyfriend, he figured
♡ for now, the least he could do was take care of these guys to save you the trouble
♡ but perhaps that wasn’t his brightest idea, he realised as he stood amongst the dejected bodies scattered across the ground, “i know you are all alive, so consider this a warning.” baji chuckled at the grunt one produced as he kicked him aside to head back over to his motorcycle
♡ before he left the area, obviously he stole all the cash he could from those guys, which gave him enough to buy the thing he had been eyeing for you
♡ though it took him a while to get his hands on it, it left him with the perfect opportunity to give it to you
♡ “oi, open up!” baji hollered as he pounded on your door; if baji wasn’t such a bruiser, you would’ve thought he was dying
♡ “what!?” you hissed, throwing the door open to reveal your frantic state.
♡ you were half angry at how loud he was being, and the other half at how he has been ignoring you for the past two weeks and finally decides to show up just as you were about to leave for work, in fact, you were running late for your night shift
♡ “no need to rush.” baji said, an odd sense of sincerity in his voice as he motioned for you to stop putting your shoes on, “you’re not going to work today.”
♡ you simply laughed, ignoring him and gathering your stuff to leave, “and why is that?”
♡ “well,” baji started, rubbing his chin for effect, “these guys from toman plan on robbing the place tonight. i did give them a warning, but they might still do it. and you know i just want you to be safe.” he said with a mischievous grin, as you both knew there was no way your shop was getting robbed tonight, unless the dudes wanted to try it with both arms broken
♡ “so did you just come here to tell me that, or is there something else?” although you tried to hide it, baji could tell by your subtle flustered expression that you were thankful
♡ “i found this.” he lied, cupping your hand to lift it and drop in a gold bracelet, “one of the guys had it on him.”
♡ you gasped, taking the bracelet to examine the fine details, and noticed how it had a small crystal heart attached, “yeah, i’m sure a member of toman just so happened to be wearing a charm bracelet.”
♡ “i never said he was wearing it!” baji spat, swiftly snatching it from your hand and holding it above his head, “i can pawn it if you don’t want it.”
♡ “i like it, though!” you said, reaching up for it, only for him to grab your wrist and put it on you
♡ “then forgive me for not hanging with you.” he muttered, angrily clipping the bracelet through furrowed brows, while you leaned in to plant a kiss on his forehead
♡ “it’s fine. i forgive you.” you couldn’t help but snicker at his word choice of ‘hanging out’, which resulted in you getting a swift flick to the forehead
♡ but before you could whine, he quickly followed it up with a kiss <33
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MIKEY
♡ one day he was visiting mizo to find takemichi and he happened to walk passed a group of guys talking about how one of them planned on asking out a person from a different school
♡ at first he didn’t pay much attention since it was none of his business after all, until he heard that the person’s name and description just so happened to match yours
♡ so like any good boyfriend would, he halted and told draken to grab takemichi while he listened in
♡ as he gained more insight into the situation, he learned that the person happened to go to the same academy as you and had the same bus schedule too
♡ it didn’t take a genius to figure out that the person they were talking about was you
♡ as it turns out, the guy who planned on asking you out had your bus times memorised so if he was able to run fast enough, he would be able to reach your stop before you got on the bus, which is when he will ask you out
♡ or at least, that is what he hoped would happen if everything went smoothly and there was no unexpected interference from a group of delinquents
♡ mikey had many options on how to deal with this situation
♡ he could ask you to take a different bus, he could do nothing (because he trusted that you’d reject the guy either way) or he could beat them up right now to save himself the hassle later
♡ however, he decided to go with a more peaceful approach
♡ he continued eaves-dropping until everyone besides the lover boy had left, so he could have an amicable one-on-one conversation with him — definitely no threats involved — and advise the guy to stay in his fucking lane and never go near you ever again, kindly.
♡ when the day of the proposal arrived, mikey paid you a surprise visit after school and offered to walk you to the bus-stop; not because he was afraid that the dude might confess, but rather since he had booked you both tickets to the movies!
♡ but once you both arrive at the stop, you were greeted by the guy standing there holding a measly bouquet of flowers, looking quite taken back by the fact you were with someone else; even though mikey had done him the courtesy of explicitly telling him to back off
♡ though he must’ve not got message despite the hand-holding, and he obviously didn’t recognise mikey, otherwise he probably wouldn’t have continued to confess, albeit with quivering limbs and a black eye
♡ but before he could even stutter out a greeting, mikey hissed at him, “what the are you doing?” yet the guy only replied with a shrug
♡ upon observing the interaction, your eyes widen as you turned to look at mikey, “do you know him?”
♡ “never seen him before in my life, dear.” he smiled sweetly, but it was ineffective; you already knew he was lying as soon as he called you ‘dear’.
♡ “(y/n)!” the guy yelled, trying to catch your attention, but only shaking even more as your gaze fell on him, “i was going to ask you, if—”
♡ mikey let out an exaggerated yawn, widely outstretching his arms to distract both of you, “this has been fun, but we’re running late for the movie.”
♡ “but i’m not fin—” the poor boy was once again interrupted by mikey waving him goodbye, grabbing your hand and swiftly guiding you around him, back on the route to the cinema
♡ before he even got the chance to cry another plea, you had both already disappeared around the corner
♡ once mikey had dragged you both far enough away from the bus-stop, you began your interrogation, “seriously, who was that? and what was he trying to say? did you give him the black eye?” you had to stop to take a deep breath, “also, you said the movie would start in the evening!”
♡ mikey brought your hand up —which he had a tight grip on — and kissed the back of it gently, “my bad,” he chuckled slightly, a mischievous grin playing on his lips, “i forgot to mention him. i met him a few days ago and he was planning to ask you out so i politely informed him that you were taken.”
♡ “for some reason, i don’t believe that last part.”
♡ he snickered, “and yeah, the movie starts in the evening so we’re not running late. but he wasn’t taking the hint!” he whined while clinging to your arm, as if you were going to run away from him at any second, “forgive me?”
♡ “sure, whatever.” you sighed, rolling your eyes as you watched his expression light up, “but next time, mind your own business! i could’ve just said no, instead of you beating him up, or whatever you did.”
♡ “noted.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MITSUYA TAKASHI
♡ during his time as the second division leader of toman, he’s overheard all kinds of stuff that he probably wasn’t supposed to; awkward small talk, plans to commit felonies, deep conversations, weed brownie recipes, discussions about health issues — the list goes on forever!
♡ however, one topic he has never heard any one ever have the audacity to speak about (within a ten mile radius of him), is you. even though, your relationship was public to toman.
♡ your name was often kept out of people’s mouth since you rarely interacted with any of the gang members when you visited, hence they didn’t really have anything bad (or good) to say about you. none of them knew you besides the title ‘boss’ partner’.
♡ so, that’s why mitsuya had to do a double take when he heard someone in his division mutter to the guy beside him, “why does his friend keep visitin’? it’s annoying. plus, they just sit and don’t talk to anyone besides ‘im. they must think they’re better than us or something.” right after mitsuya mentioned that you were visiting toman.
♡ he couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow; did that guy really think that he was being sly and quiet? by the look on his face, he seemed pretty self-assured.
♡ “um, i heard you, idiot.” he hissed, pinching his nose and shaking his head as he watched the knucklehead stare at him dumbfounded, as if the whole room hadn’t heard him too.
♡ “don’t say shit like that. they don’t think they’re better than anyone.” he scorned, balling his fist and almost twitching with anger, fighting the urge to pummel that guy for the sake of his own reputation in toman
♡ and that impulse almost immediately dissipated as soon as you entered the room; his hand loosened and opened to cup your cheek
♡ he was as sweet as can be for the rest of the night, of course, and he still managed to send that dude daggers whenever he got the chance.

Tumblr media

warnings: cursing
contents: nonidol!riki, highschool!au, crushes!au, idiotstolovers!au, fluff, humorous (gen z humor i’m so sorry), race neutral reader, riki flirting, hand holding, first kiss!!, just you and riki in l*ve <;33
notes : hello please read this before reading!
i am a smut blog to any newcomers that might see this bc of the tags. please don’t follow me if you are uncomfortable with that content/thought i was a fluff account. soft blocks are okay, i just wanted to say something just in case!! i didn’t want any miscommunication or misinformation <333
anyways this was a special one bc riki has just been in my head bc he’s just??? so??? cute???? gn passing away rn i love nishimura riki rn !! also if you recognize this manga panel i love you marry me
LISTEN AS YOU READ:
he was a mess. you were a mess. this was a terrible idea. at first hanging out with riki on a bright, sunday afternoon on the nearby river bank seemed like fun, it was not. riki constantly claims it wasn’t a date but, if riki couldn’t keep stuttering, “sunday— we— us— hangout?” when he originally asked you back on friday, then you would’ve thought otherwise.
i mean, could i blame you?
the quick glances at each other, both of your cheeks heated, and the awkward periods of silence definitely showed the fact that you were in love with riki, and he was in love with you. the way your friendship first started by causing trouble in mr. noh’s chemistry class in year nine to shamelessly flirting with each other just a year later in all of the classes you shared. so, why are you so nervous? probably the fact you wanted to absolutely fucking bawl right now at the idea of confessing.
“you look pretty today, y/n.” riki says in uneven breaths. playing with the green grass beside you, a simple “thanks” left your lips. even though your lips parted to say something more, you just couldn’t. you couldn’t bare the image of the both of you on separate sides of the gingham picnic blanket, it was embarrassing. this was supposed to be more fun, not awkward. this was all ruined, you loved riki, you really did but, how in the world are you going to get over this?
it wasn’t until you felt the blanket shifted weight. with a small look, you see riki is now sitting next to you, adverting his eyes. he was staring down at the river, contemplating what he should do next because at that moment, sitting closer to you was the boldest thing he could do right now. your lips twitch a bit before exhaling lightly, only to be caught off guard by riki staring at you lovingly. what was he thinking? that’s the point, he wasn’t.
“what’s with the goo-goo eyes, you ass?”
“can i not look a beautiful human, you dick?”
your eyes widened. what did he say? your eyes frantically look at your hands, trying to contain yourself from screaming your head off. nishimura riki literally called you beautiful. he only ever called you pretty or cute. this was such a foreign feeling, you didn’t know how to properly react. riki laughs at your expression, your eyes were bulging out of their sockets while you twiddle with your thumbs anxiously. he takes his hands and cups them with your own, forcing you to look into his brown eyes that were so full of love.
nishimura riki’s hands were holding yours.
you were holding hands with him.
the action made your stomach flair with butterflies. he never acted like this. riki would only teasing poke at your sides when he would flirt with you at school, not full on hold hands with you! the more you stared into his eyes, the more you noticed him as a whole. his black hair was parted differently, his normal hoop earrings where switched out, and his lips... they looked more plump than usual. you wouldn’t have noticed these things before, you were to shy to even look at him just a few minutes ago.
a few more seconds went by. the only thing your mind could comprehend was riki, just riki, just him. you almost thought time slowed, you were too engrossed in his lips, and he felt the same about yours. riki finally spoke up, breaking the silence.
“may i kiss you?”
“yes, of course.”
Tumblr media
“입술과 입술이 았을 뿐인데” (lips and lips only touched)
“세상이 달라 보여” (the world looks different)
Tumblr media
both of your lips slid over each other so smoothly, perfectly molding against each other before sweetly pulling away. riki then smiled, the first time in awhile since he kept of nervously pursing his lips the entire time he was with you. obviously, you reciprocated the smile. suddenly, you saw his hands were still entangled with yours, his lips were wet from the kiss, and your legs were pressed on to his, nearly making you sit on his lap. then, it hit you.
nishimura riki kissed you.
you kissed him.
“we just kissed.” you breathed out, noticing your heart was beating fast.
“you think so???” riki questions, his heart beating just as fast.
“why’d you do it?”
“maybe because i like you?”
“...”
“then why’d you say yes, dumbass?”
“well i don’t know, i like you too, idiot?”
“OKAY???”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN OKAY???”
“...”
“...”
“so we dating or not.”
“are you shitting me? i’m going to smack you.”
“I’M ASKING A QUESTION, BITCH???”
“ugh... fine we are.”
Tumblr media
“왠지 모를 불안감 근데 벅찬 마음” (i feel anxious for some reason, but my heart is overwhelmed)
“더 좋아 더 좋아 네가” (i like it better, i like you)

Note
i feel like im annoying lol but here i am again 🥴
🥴 how do da boys react to a super bimbo mc like shes busty, sweet, innocent, helpful as much as she can be and doesnt really realize when people are hitting on her, she just thinks theyre being extra friendly. (Tamaki, izuku, shoto, denki, bakougo) or any of ur choice
Sorry if I’m being annoying ( •᷄ὤ•᷅)? and tysm
bimbo s/o
character(s) : bakugou katsuki, todoroki shouto, amajiki tamaki (bnha)
probably (?) part one // ?
legend : [Y/N = your name] female! s/o, quirk not specific
headcanon type : fluff, crack (x reader)
note(s) : sooo 🤩 it’s my birthday tomorrow, not excited about that?? not sure! but im definitely gonna post more tomorrow, just because
»»————- ♡ ————-««
Tumblr media
bakugou katsuki
you didn’t seem like his type tbh. you’re kinda an airhead, and you’re sweet and helpful to everyone
and awfully innocent,,
so, you seemed like the person that bakugou would try and stay away from, but nope!
not in this case. i’m not sure what conspired in this explosive blond’s head, but he had a oddly specific attraction to you
he used to hate being around you, but it’s also quite entertaining being around you but why, you may ask?
not only are you super nice, and helpful, but you’re very likable too! which caused you to get secret admirers, and fanboys
but you also so happen to be clueless as fuck, so katsuki would always stick around— obviously very amused, only to tell you what their true intentions are
“what do they mean, go out? like,, outside?”
“no, dumbo. they wanna date you.”
“..like the calendar?”
“hah?? are you dumb?” he actually hated how oblivious you were at first, but he just got used to it
but this clueless airhead trait of yours is what he also hates, because when he developed feelings for you— he’d have to tell you
and,, he’s not the best with being direct with romantic stuff. so— you can see how that went.
he ended up confessing you in the most direct way he could’ve said it, but you still. didn’t. understand.
“fuck sake, i want to be your significant other. your fucking lover, the bitch that’ll be with you until this dumbass brain of yours stops working.”
okay, he was a little too direct, but at least you know his feelings!
when you both finally get together, everyone is shocked. like,, you, the sweetheart that likes helping people— dating thee bakugou katsuki??
everyone thought you were threatened to date him, because you didn’t understand other people’s advances— but in reality, katsuki just told you what he felt
straight from the heart.
also, since you’re also quite busty, katsuki loves sleeping on them— he literally won’t sleep, until he has his head resting on those milkers of yours
“maybe this is all you’re good for, huh? a fuckin’ head rest. there might not be anything up there, but at least it gives me some good fuckin’ sleep.”
he,, doesn’t mean that. you’re useful in so many other ways, but he loves pretending that he thinks that way, because of your replies
“ah, yes! i’m fine with being your head rest, katsuki. rest well, love!”
you’re not hurt, because he makes it a point to tell you multiple times a day that you mean lots to him.
but he gets super mad when people tell you that you’re stupid. because he can only tell you that!!
Tumblr media
todoroki shouto
you also didn’t seem like you’d be his type,, everyone thought he would’ve wanted someone that’s smart as momo, or something similar
but he’s very content with being with you, for reasons he can’t seem to figure out.
he has his habit of watching you help people from afar, and he couldn’t help but smile whenever he engages in conversations with you
yeah sure, you might be more of an airhead than most people— but you have a heart of gold! and that’s what gathered his attention
sometimes, he’s quite clueless to some social cues— but even he can connect the dots
which you can’t seem to do. but you’re in luck! shouto’s usually the one that tells you what they mean
it’s something he loves and hates, only because of how popular you are with people in general.
sometimes, shouto debates if he should even tell you what they mean— because well,, he likes you.
usually, shouto would interpret things to you like this
“,, they like you,, romantically.”
“shou, are you sure? they look like they wanna be my friend!” he lets you call him by his first name, just because of how content you look by calling him ‘shouto’
he ends up whispering something into your ear, and your eyes light up in realization. “oh! so how princess bubblegum likes marceline?”
“,, yeah.”
but being shouto todoroki has it’s advantages. he isn’t afraid of being as direct as he could possibly be.
“may i have the honor of being your lifelong partner?”
“..?”
“oh, romantically. i’d love to be your lover, Y/N.”
“..oh! that’s what you meant.”
the way he sees you stumble with your words, as you pace back in forth— completely flustered by his words
makes him smile
and it all ends well when his friends see that his wallpaper is literally him laying down on your chest
which is something he always wanted to do
“shouto,, did you finally confess?!”
“yes. they said yes.”
they’re not really surprised that you understood, courtesy to shouto’s bluntness.
he is your protector against all of the people that make you seem useless. man literally lashed out when his father asked him to date someone with ‘more intelligence’
“Y/N may not be the definition of being book smart, but Y/N’s not useless!”
in short— he’s the bimbo protector! he’ll always be patient around you, and he would never dare to dumb you down.
Tumblr media
amajiki tamaki
oh lOrd, please help him
you’re so kind, sweet, and helpful. you’d help anyone— regardless of their personality. and that’s what made tamaki interested in you
but you’re also very popular. which he could see why— since you’re attractive in a unique and special way.
tamaki absolutely disliked the idea of your kindness being taken advantaged of. i mean,, the guts of some people!
but he also hated being the one to break the news to you good or bad
he’s not good with the blunt stuff either, and he might’ve been worried about being around you— because well,, you look like you wouldn’t even hurt a fly.
“tamaki, what do they mean by ‘coming home with them for a nice time’ do they.. want to play mario cart with me?”
he looks like he needs to pass out, but he ends up telling you anyway. he’s just lucky that you could hear him.
but he sighs in relief when you end up kindly declining
nejire and mirio are SO amused by this pairing. i mean, it’s an interesting dynamic! how could they not be invested?
yet, they refuse to even explain things to you, especially when tamaki’s around to do said explaining
because apparently, ‘it’ll help you socialize more, especially with Y/N!’
but remember when i said that tamaki wasn’t great with the blunt approach? yeah— he’d have a heart attack, just trying to explain his feelings
“i— uhm how do i say this,, would you like t-to go out for some dinner with m-me?”
“oh sure! i should go tell mirio and nejire” you’d say that with a smile, and it felt like he was going to pass away on the spot.
nejire and mirio were the ones the tell you that ‘no, tamaki doesn’t want to be friendly with you, because he wants to romantically date you.’
and it felt like forever when they were explaining how and why, while tamaki was sitting in the corner.
but thank GOD! because you like him too!
super hesitant on resting on your chest, i mean,, to him, it looked like the nicest pillow for the deepest sleep! but he wasn’t sure if that’d be okay
because no!! to!! taking!! advantage!! of!! Y/N’s!! kindness!!
speaking of that, despite the fact that he’s socially awkward— he will not hesitate on defending you from any haters!
like, when people say that “tamaki and Y/N are such an awkward couple. tamaki’s super awkward, it looks like there’s nothing in Y/N’s brain. maybe she’s brainless”
because how dare they. not everyone is book smart— but that doesn’t give people the right to call you stupid!
“Y/N’s not brainless! she’s kind, helpful, and the sweetest p-person i have ever met. i suggest you take that back!”
in short— it gives him heart palpitations just having to explain things to you, but at the end of the day, it’s all worth it, if he can be with you

Title: Desperate Measures.
Pairing: Yandere!Kaeya/Reader (Genshin Impact).
Word Count: 2.2k.
TW: Kidnapping, Emotional Manipulation, Implied Stalking, and Delusional Mindsets.
Tumblr media
Kaeya was a man, distracted.
Distracted. Divided. Not inattentive, but pulled away from his responsibilities by a force he couldn’t name and couldn’t say he cared for, either. He wasn’t a stranger to romantic inclinations — fantasies, sudden flings, slow-burning inclinations that died the moment his attention was called elsewhere. Predictably, the few relationships he allowed himself were short-lived, at best distasterous at worst, but he didn’t have a problem with that. If anything, Kaeya appreciated it. He’d always thought of company as optional, and what little loneliness he was still capable of feeling could be drowned with a generous glass of wine. He wasn’t one to linger. He tried not to overstay his welcome. He’d been sentimental, once, too emotional for his own good, and he’d learned his lesson. He didn’t intend to change.
He didn’t want to change.
And yet, here he was.
Distracted.
He couldn’t think. He couldn’t focus. It was all he could do to look like he might’ve been trying to read the most recent document left on his desk – this one from Jean, a directive for the younger knights or legislation she needed him to review or another vague, important report that he probably would’ve dealt with weeks ago, if he’d been able to concentrate.
He made a half-hearted effort to straighten his back as the door to his office began to open, but Kaeya dropped the act quickly, abandoning it completely by the time he heard the sound of heeled boots against hollow tile, caught a glimpse of a familiar (albeit, rarely used) catalyst, searched for eyes and found the cover of a thin book, instead, your face still buried in your newest novel as you stepped through the threshold, not bothering to knock. It was you. He should’ve known it would be. Who else did he deserve?
You, Lisa’s new assistant. You, the latest addition to the Knights of Favonius. You, his current, infuriating, unshakable fixation.
You, the new recruit who hadn’t paid him so much as a passing glance since your arrival, much to Kaeya’s frustration.
You didn’t look at him. You rarely ever did, but it hurt more than it usually did, today, as you dropped another form onto his desk, letting it replace the greeting you’d forgotten to offer. “Lisa needs you to sign this,” You started, laying out your priorities clearly, a skill Kaeya was beginning to resent. “It’s just next year’s budget. If you don’t want to read it, I think I’ll be able to look the other way.”
He glanced over the rows of numbers, the messy hand-writing, the columns of meaningless gibberish that blended together into a mess of ink and digits, and took your suggestion, scrawling his name across the only blank line. It was a lost cause, especially with you in the room. Especially with your unoccupied hand resting on his desk, your fingertips idly tapping an unsteady rhythm into the wood, and all he could think about was who he’d be willing to kill to feel that hand pressed against his cheek.
He considered asking you, for a moment, giving you an order and hoping you'd absent-mindedly obey. He thought about touching you, or running his fingers through your hair, or pulling you into his lap and mumbling sweet-nothings into your ear until someone else dragged you away.
He thought about a lot of things. Then, he said, “I take it your silence comes at a price?”
“Do I seem that selfish to you?” You were selfish. You had to be selfish. If you weren’t, then surely you would’ve been kind enough to put him out of his misery months ago. “I like helping people. Just remember this when I need a favor from you.”
“I’m sure we could work something more immediate out,” He went on, but you were already starting towards the door, calling the conversation to a close before Kaeya could begin to finish. In the back of his mind, something flared, the urge to catch your wrist, to go after you, to put himself between you and the only exit and refuse to move until you looked at him, but he forced it down, swallowing the temptation before it could eclipse his common sense. He couldn’t be impulsive. He couldn’t make rash decisions. He wasn’t prepared to deal with how difficult that would make things, not now.
Not yet.
“Join me for a drink?” He tried, again, attempting to sound unbothered. Nonchalant, casual, normal. Like he wasn’t itching to burn every book you’d touched. “I know you don’t have anything better to--”
“Another night, Captain.”
And just like that, you were gone, leaving Kaeya’s muttered response to echo through his empty office.
“Of course.”
~
Kaeya was a man, desperate.
Like a starving dog. Like a traveler who hadn’t seen water in thirty days. Like a distraught, distressed, disturbed knight, wandering through a maze of a library, cursing the existence of every shelf that separated him from you. He knew where you'd be. You were a creature of habit, and he’d already had more than enough time to memorize your routine. He’d had enough time to memorize everything about you, as ashamed as he was to admit it. It was a testament to his devotion, to how much time he’d spent trying and failing to win your favor.
It was evidence of how pathetic he’d gotten, over the course of his one-sided pursuit.
You were in your usual spot – tucked into the far corner of the library, perched on the edge of a windowsill, your attention monopolized by the tattered scroll spread across your lap. You were still pouring over it by the time he reached you, slumping against the nearest wall, taking in how brilliantly the muted sunlight looked as it danced across your skin. He didn’t try to hide the way he stared, anymore. He was long past worrying that you’d care enough to notice. Your hair was unkempt, proof that’d you slept in the archives again, if you’d slept at all. Your lips were bleeding, too, the lower one chewed raw and split down the middle, but it might’ve been stranger if they weren’t. It must’ve been a nervous tick, but Kaeya found it cute. Kaeya found it endearing. Kaeya found everything about you endearing, and to the archons, he wanted to see those lips wrapped around his co--
And he hated it. He found everything about you endearing, and he hated it. That was all.
He sighed, the sound airy, exhausted. You didn’t look up, but that was fine. It would’ve only hurt him further if someone as simple as that drew out your concern. “I’m in love with you.”
There was a hum, soft and contemplative. A rather generous response, by your standards. “I’ve noticed.”
“You’re all I think about.” It was an awkward confession, one he’d already used a hundred different times. He didn’t care. He’d use it a hundred more, if he had to. “I’m a wreck. I can barely remember my own name, and some days I can’t even do that. I can’t fight, I can’t eat, I can hardly breathe. Every morning, I wonder what it would be like to wake up to your smile, and every night, I stare at my ceiling and loath myself because I’m not holding you in my arms. For fuck’s sake, just yesterday, I almost kissed Albedo because the chemicals he was working with reminded me of the way your favorite kind of flower smells, and I’m just so fucking desperate, I convinced myself that was the closest I’d ever come to kissing you.”
He was rambling, by the end, panting, yelling, but you only blinked when he was done, once, then twice. Your dull nails bit into the edges of your scroll, but you didn’t seem to mind, nor did you move to roll it up as you finally turned to face him, the confusion written clearly across your expression. “You kissed Albedo?”
“You don’t get it,” He said, and you nodded in agreement. “You don’t fucking get it.”
“I think I do,” You admitted, more earnestly. Your gaze dropped back to the ground, and instantly, Kaeya deflated. “I just… I just don’t think it’d work out, if I’m being honest. I’m still new. I still have to give everyone else a reason to trust me, and I don’t think it’s in my best interest to start a relationship with one of my superiors so early on.” You paused, laughing to yourself, and something in Kaeya’s chest tightened. It was the happiest he’d been since he met you, and he still felt like you’d pushed a sword through his heart and twisted. “But, you don’t really want a relationship, do you? You’re just bored, and you need something to fixate on. I’m the most available option, so...” You trailed off, finishing your sentence with a vague, stilted sweeping gesture. “It’ll be easier for both of us, this way. I like you, Captain, but I don’t like you enough to put myself through that.”
It was all he could do to remember how to open his mouth. Once he did, the words came stumbling out on their own.
“Of course.”
~
Kaeya was a man, determined.
Determined might’ve been the wrong word for it. Too soft, too suggestive, the impression too positive and the meaning too vague. ‘Depraved’ might’ve suited him better, but that was too harsh, too primitive, and he’d like to think he’d been as gentle as anyone could expect him to be, given your stubbornness. He’d tried to be gentle. He’d wanted to be gentle. If he was going to do this to you, he could at least do it gently. You deserved that much, at least.
Or, maybe you didn’t. Maybe you didn’t deserve any of this.
He couldn’t really make up his mind, about that.
“Lisa?”
And he was gentle, more so than he had to be. Sure, you were on the floor, bare stone already beginning to chafe at your skin, but the shackles around your wrists were padded, and he’d given you enough slack to sit down, to ball yourself up, to act like it’d never crossed your mind that he’d resort to something so… easily misinterpreted. The blindfold was, similarly, an act of mercy. You’d panic if you woke up like this, chained to a wall in someone else’s cellar, and Kaeya didn’t want that. You needed time, and he could give you that. He would give you that. Even if it pained him to stay at arm’s length.
“Amber?”
He wanted to touch you. It’d be easy, now, easier than it’d ever been before. You wouldn’t be able to push him away, and even if you tried to, he could always overpower you. Take you by the neck, pin you against the floor, leave you shaking and trembling and begging, pleading with a captor you couldn’t see. He’d find a way to make it up to you, later on. He’d find a way to lie, to smile, to make it better, even if he’d failed to time and time again, out there. But, this would be different. You wouldn’t be able to cling to your excuses, and he’d be able to show you how much he cared, how much he wanted this, how much he loved you. This would be better.
“Kaeya?”
See? You were already coming around.
Your voice was already soft, hesitant, a sliver of a whisper that was constantly on the verge of dying out completely. You were trying not to make noise, trying not to seem as terrified as you really were, but he could hear the way your breath hitched as he took a step forward, your restraints rattling as you curled into yourself. You couldn’t hide from him, but you wanted to. That much was obvious. You didn’t want this.
But, he did. More than you could ever want to run away from it.
He wanted to touch you, but he held himself back. Instead, he only kneeled in front of you, letting himself linger for a moment before he spoke. “I’m here, love.”
“Where are we?” You were afraid, too scared to put the pieces together. Not while you could still hope there was another explanation. Not while you could still deny the apparent. “My head hurts, and I can’t--”
“I know, and I’ll make it up to you.” This time, he let himself reach out, cupping your cheek and chuckling as you tried to shy away. The two of you could work on that, later on. He could live with the guilt if he let himself enjoy it, now. “Just give me a moment, alright? Just a second, then I’ll take care of you.”
You opened your mouth, then you closed it again. Kaeya wondered if you’d be bold enough to refuse if he did try to kiss you, or hold you, or go further than the fleeting touches he’d swore would keep him satisfied, at first, at least. He wondered if he’d care, when you did. “Are… are you going to hurt me?”
He wanted to reassure you. He wanted to promise he’d be patient, that he’d understand if you lashed out, that violence wasn’t an option he was willing to consider, but he couldn’t, like this, could he? He didn’t want to hurt you, but he’d never wanted to kidnap you, either, not until you made it obvious he didn’t have another choice. He didn’t want to stoop so low, he didn’t want you to hate him, but…
But, he was lying again, wasn’t he?
To tell the truth, he couldn’t remember the last time he genuinely cared whether or not you loved him back.
You stifled a scream as his hand dropped to your jaw, his grip tightening as he jerked you forward, just close enough to wrap his arm around your waist, to bury his face in the side of your neck, to get a taste of what you’d deprived him of. It wasn’t enough, he doubted it’d ever be enough, but he had you. He had you, he was close to you, and he had you. That had to be enough, for now.
“We’ll see.”

Tumblr media
“I’ll get it” Yoongi announced when someone called on the door, leaving you and Jimin alone on the sofa as he rushed up to get it.
As soon as he opened it and Jeongguk stepped inside your shared place, bowing politely to your friends before his stare fell on you, you felt your heart race. Saying nothing, you gave him a closed mouth smile, having him do the same at the sight of yours. Although it hadn’t been longer than a week, it had been the longest you had gone without seeing each other ever since you became friends, and, even though you weren’t really showing it right then —as for some reason you were nervous as hell to see each other again—, it was unbelievable how happy you were at the mere sight of one another.
“We were just leaving” Yoongi informed, catching up on what was going on. After all, you had told both him and Jimin that your boyfriend would be coming over to talk things out.
“We were?” Jimin asked with furrowed eyebrows. “I just got home”.
“Let’s give them some privacy” he tilted his head towards the opened door so Jimin would tag along.
“I can go to my room for that”.
“Yah! We all know your nosy ass will eavesdrop everything that way” Yoongi called him out, and you didn’t miss the way Jeongguk had to lower his head not to show his amused smile, being already used to your roommates’ endless bickering antics by now. “Come on, let’s go see Jin hyung at his pub”.
Simple as that, Jimin left your side in a heartbeat to go to the door. “Well, I won’t say no to drinking” he admitted, stopping right in front of Jeongguk and pointing an accusing finger at him. “Take care of my baby”.
“My baby” Guk corrected him, mumbling his words low enough for you not to hear.
Although, unlike you, Jimin did hear —for that had been your boyfriend’s intention—, he said nothing, instead glaring at him the way he always did whenever that discussion over you took place at least twice a week, and walking out of the apartment for once and for all. Yoongi, on the other hand, gave the two of you a small thumbs up before following behind his friend.
And just like that, with the sound of the door closing, silence was quick to take over the room.
This was probably the first time ever since you met that neither of you knew what to say. Fuck, this was probably the first time in your life you didn’t know how to start a conversation. And it wasn’t like you could go over there and kiss him like you were dying to, could you? You had not completely made up yet. That’s what he was here for after all. To talk, not to make out. Although you weren’t really against that idea, and he most definitely was not either — the way his eyes fixed on your lips even all the way over from the door was enough to tell you so.
It had been a good couple of days since you had last seen each other after all.
“You, uh…” your voice came out quite unsteady as you stood up, fixing the plain t-shirt and cotton pyjama pants you were wearing. “Are you hungry?” you asked, walking towards the kitchen and having him quietly follow right behind as you entered it. “Wanna eat something? Drink something?”
He shook his head no when you turned around to look at him, resting your hands on the counter as you leaned against it. “Just wanna clear up your questions”.
You nodded, for that was what he was here for after all, to clear everything up so the two of you could go back to normal. So you could go back to being the happy couple you both loved so much.
“So what are they?” he pushed it when you stood there with no signs of wanting to speak any time soon.
“I just…” you shrugged, making yourself comfortable by sitting at the edge of the counter. “Why didn’t you tell me before that you were the one sending me flowers back then?”
He pouted in confusion as he came closer to you. “When?”
“When we were friends…”
“It would’ve been out of place back then, petal” he explained. “We were just friends and you were into someone else. It would’ve been awkward for us and I really didn’t wanna lose you as my friend” his voice couldn’t help but come out rather bitterly at that, remembering all the thoughts that had invaded his mind when he first saw his chance to let you know it had been him all along, all the thoughts that kept him back from telling you.
“And when we started dating?” you tilted your head. “You had so many chances to tell me, Guk…”
“When we started dating I just didn’t think it mattered anymore” he confessed, unconsciously resting his hands on your knees. “I had you, I really didn’t care about it anymore”.
“You could’ve still told me…”
“And how was I supposed to bring it up? It’s not something I can just say out of nowhere” he pointed out, having you nodding understandingly. “And what was I supposed to say anyway? Hey there, I’m your flower boy?”
A light laugh escaped his mouth when you playfully shoved him away at his words, mocking what you had once told him was the confession you had been expecting from your secret admirer. Holding your hands, he pulled you closer to the edge of the counter, and hence, closer to him. Taking advantage of that, you intertwined your fingers, enjoying the familiar warmth of his hands as you admired the way he softly swayed them together.
“This is so surreal” you sighed.
“In a good or a bad way?”
You shook your head, not being able to give him a proper answer. “I just… I always wanted it to be you so bad, and for a good while I was sure it was you, but it made sense that you were into Sooyeon instead”.
Jeongguk furrowed his eyebrows, the mere thought of ever feeling something for her making him want to gawk. “How could that have ever made sense?”
“She was more like you” you pointed out, rushing to make your point before he could snap at you for comparing the two of them. “Like, yes, she was popular and had lots of friends, but she was the most quiet out of all of us. Believe it or not, she was really shy back then, an—”
“And why would I have wanted more of the same?”
“Huh?” you were taken aback by his question.
“You’re saying she was like me, then I don’t understand why would I have wanted to be with her” he said as if it was obvious.  “If I barely ever speak and so did she… I mean, how would that have even worked out?”
You shrugged, not being able to help the small smile that had started curving up your lips. “Is that why you fall for loud asses like me? So someone else will make up for your lack of talking?”
He chuckled at the teasing tone in your voice, allowing his hands to travel up to your thighs and tenderly drawing circles on them with his thumbs. “Not really” your eyebrows knitted together at his words. “There were a lot of loud girls who would not shut up to save their lives in our class and I didn’t really like them. If anything, they annoyed the hell out of me”.
“Why’d you even want to be with me then?” you wondered, being genuinely curious as to what about your loud, chatty antics, made you different to the rest of your loud classmates.
“You really don’t know why I’ve always liked you?”
You shook your head no. “Why is it?”
Taking in a deep breath, he took a step back so he could collect his thoughts before answering your question. “I don’t think you even remember when I just transferred to our high school in the second year, let alone my first day there. Mrs. Kang made me sit on the empty table next to yours and then proceeded to pass around a surprise test, and me being me, of course I forgot my pencil case at home that day,” he huffed, causing you to chuckle under your breath. “So I just sat there internally freaking out because I couldn’t bring myself to ask anyone for a pen, like I couldn’t move and my voice literally wouldn’t come out no matter how hard I tried” a breathy laugh abandoned his lips. “And I was accepting the idea of turning in a blank paper when suddenly a pen was placed on my table. So my eyes followed your hand back to your table and there you were with your eyes stuck to the test, solving the math problems like you had not just saved me from failing on my very first day as the new kid,” you laughed at his dramatism, however, you managed to remember about that moment. “And then as soon as the class ended you were surrounded by people and you were all talking nonstop and I didn’t know how to give you your pen back, so I tried to slide it into your table but you caught me and told me I could keep it, that it was a ‘welcome present’, and then you smiled at me and honestly that was it for me, Y/N”.
“It was?” you wondered in awe, eyes shining when he nodded.
“I didn’t like loud and popular people up until then, which is kinda weird considering Tae’s my best friend” a throaty laugh escaped your lips at his remark. “But although you were those things, you always got me. You just… understood, in a way. Like, you didn’t pressure me to talk or made me feel bad for not doing so, like the rest of the popular kids did. If anything, you would try to make me feel like I wasn’t all on my own whilst leaving me alone like I wanted” he tilted his head, wondering if what he just said had made any sense, knowing you understood his point when you smiled ever so sweetly. “Like when you added me to your group project one time and let me send my part instead of having to go hang out with you and your friends for an entire afternoon, or when you would invite me to your birthdays along with the rest of the class and then proceeded to tell me not to feel pressured to go if I didn’t feel like it. And even now, ever since the beginning you made me feel good about not really being into partying and barely ever talking”.
“You’ve been more talkative with me lately, though” you pointed out as you mindlessly played with the hair at the back of his head. “Although this is the most I’ve ever heard you talk”.
He chuckled, playfully pinching your thighs. “Don’t get used to it”.
“I won’t, I won’t” you chuckled, planting a chaste kiss to his chest. “Anyway, you said I get you but I didn’t let you do your part of the project on your own this year, though” you reminded him with a feigned pout that he couldn’t help but find the cutest. “And I force you to spend time with me pretty much everyday now. Will you forgive me?”
Jeongguk let out a throaty laugh, leaning in just enough for his lips to press to your cheek. “I got to date you now thanks to that, so you’re forgiven” he planted another kiss to the curved up corner of your smiling mouth. “And funny how you think you’re forcing me when half the time it’s me asking to hang out”.
You giggled. “We love a 50/50 relationship”.
Tilting your head ever so slightly to take a better look at him after hearing him chuckle, you were greatly surprised by his lips pressing down on yours.
Although you had jokingly said that last sentence, it was not far from the truth at all. It wasn’t just you chasing after him and wanting to be with him all the time, but him wanting the exact same all the same. So you could tell by the way he was kissing you right then. It was slow, painfully slow, yet the way his hands were firmly cupping your face to keep you from moving away as he deepened the kiss, could not fail to tell you just how much he had missed you, needed you, those past few days you were apart.
Pressing one small peck to his mouth, you tugged at the fabric of his sweatshirt to pull him closer to your body, later wrapping your arms tightly around his waist and resting your face on his chest — a content sigh escaping your mouth when his arms did the same with you and his lips kissed the crown of your head.
“It really never would’ve crossed my mind that you liked me way before the whole flowers thing...”
“Not even when that one summer we would keep running into each other at the park and you would catch me staring from time to time?” he asked with a raised eyebrow.
The heat didn’t wait to reach your cheeks at that. You remembered that very well, for it was the summer you caught feelings for him as well, the one right before you entered your last year of high school. You would go out for walks on your own just for the sake of doing something other than staying in texting your friends all day long, and would run into him most of the time while he walked his dog, the one you now knew was named Gold.
Although you had talked in class more than once —or well, you had talked to him more than once—, you were not friends, and hence, neither of you got the guts to come close to one another to try and start small talk. However, that didn’t stop either of you from staring at each other when you were not looking. Sometimes you would catch each other staring, though, and you couldn’t stop an amused smile from curving up your lips when you remembered one particular time he had choked on air when you smiled at him after catching his eyes being fixed on you, just like he had choked earlier this year when you had asked him if you could sit next to him in class. It seemed to be a habit of his by now, at least when it came to you.
“I thought you were just judging me over the way I was always sniffing the flowers and taking pictures of them…” you admitted, for although a part of you did want to believe he was into you back then, you couldn’t really bring yourself to fully believe it.
He pulled you back by your shoulders so he could give you a questioning look. “Judging you with heart eyes?”
“Yah!” you called him out, feeling your cheeks burn.
Jeongguk laughed, shaking his head in amusement. “I really just couldn’t take my eyes away from you, you looked so hypnotized by them and it was the cutest to me”.
“Is that why you thought about secretly giving me flowers?” you couldn’t help but ask.
He nodded, lowering his head. “I know it would’ve been easier to just talk to you, but I really couldn’t bring myself to do it. Fuck, I even was a nervous wreck this year when you first talked to me,” a breathy laugh escaped his mouth. “So I just… thought I could do that for a while until I got the guts to confess. Although I guess a part of me really wanted you to find out, because whilst looking for different kinds flowers I came across tiger lilies and, apart from finding out they were my birth flower, their meaning just fit so well with what I wanted to do and I just—”
“What do they mean?” you asked.
“It’s cheesy” he let you know with pleading eyes, silently asking you not to make him say it out loud. “Like, really cheesy”.
“Come on,” you begged with pouty lips, getting a hold of his hands. “I’ll look it up on the internet either way if you don’t tell me”.
He shook his head in both amusement and embarrassment altogether, knowing well enough you would do just that if he did not comply right then. So, biting down on his bottom lip, he said: “Please, love me”.
Your eyebrows furrowed in clear confusion. “Huh?”
“They mean ‘please, love me’” he clarified at the sight of your puzzled face, and your heart skipped a beat as you froze in your place. “I told you it was cheesy”.
“No, no, it’s not that. I just… is that what…” you pressed your lips together as you tried to compose yourself. “Did you… do you mean that?” it was now his turn to look confused, tilting his head to the side because of it. “You want me to love you?”
And although to you it seemed like a complicated question to answer, to him, on the other hand, it wasn’t. So, nodding his head immediately, he let you know that was exactly what he wanted.
“Back then, even when we were teenagers and barely ever talked, and I knew nothing about love, I was convinced I was in love with you… even if I knew it was one sided. And now that I got to be your friend and then your boyfriend, I…” he took in a deep breath, staring down to your hands in his before his eyes went back to yours. “I know more than ever that I love you. I love you so much, Y/N. And I know loving someone takes time, and I don’t want to push you or rush you at all, but if you could just try and find it in you to love me back someday, I—”
The small chuckle that abandoned your lips caused his mouth to shut close in an instant, not understanding what was so funny about his words and for a split second there feeling uneasy. However, all his worries went away when you cupped his face in your hands, staring at his lips for a brief second before your eyes went up to fix on his.
“I already love you, you dummy”.
Not giving him time to process your truthful words, if anything, knowing it would take him a while to do so, you leaned in to steal a small kiss from his lips, pecking them ever so tenderly a couple of times until he smiled, finally understanding the meaning of your words and placing his hands on the back of your neck to keep you from pulling away as he sucked on your bottom lip.
“Say it again?” he pleaded in between kisses, not being able to erase the huge smile on his face.
You chuckled teasingly. “Nope”.
“Yah,” he let go fully of your mouth. “You’re always speaking nonstop and now that I for once ask you to say something, you won’t?”
“Exactly” you smiled brightly, giggling when he squinted his eyes at you and leaning in to peck his mouth a couple more times. “I love you, bun” you cooed, being done with your teasing way earlier than you had planned to.
And it was the way you loved him back, along with the way you had gone back to call him that pet name he was the softest about, what had him giving you one of those bunny smiles of his that made you come up with that name to begin with.
“You won’t say it back?” you wondered, batting your lashes for him to take a hint.
Nevertheless, he shook his head no. “I already said it twice, we’re even”.
“Yah!” you lightly shoved him off, only to have him standing right back in between your legs like he had been during your entire conversation. “Jeongguk-ah~”
“Yes, baby?” he played innocent.
“Tell me you love me” you pouted, crossing your arms over your chest.
Letting out a light laugh, he cupped your face and gave your mouth a chaste kiss. “I love you, petal”.
You smiled sweetly, allowing him to plant a few more kisses on your mouth before you pressed your lips to the spot under his jawline, resting your face on his chest as he wrapped his arms around you once more.
“You should’ve confessed back then” you lamented, looking up to his face yet only being met by the sight of his chin. “Why didn’t you?”
He sighed, resting his chin on the top of your head and tightening the hold of his arms around your waist.
There it was, the most important question out of them all. The one he had came here to talk about, yet he had completely forgotten about as he had gotten caught up on making up with you instead. And now that things were finally good between you two, he couldn’t help but fear bringing up said person and what she had done would make things worse all over again.
“I was going to” he let you know. “That was the plan all along”.
Your eyebrows knitted together, sitting up so you could fix your questioning eyes on his troubled expression. “Then why didn’t you?” you repeated your previous question.
He sighed heavily, causing your body to tense up, as you knew right then you wouldn’t like what he was about to tell you. “Sooyeon…”
“What?” you pushed it when he stopped right after mentioning her name. “What did she do?!”
He bit the inside of his cheek. Although he had found out about everything a few days ago and had gotten some time to come to terms with it, it still hurt just as much. All the lost time and what it could have been, all the possibilities that could’ve come with having been with you as a couple ever since your last year of high school, still made his blood boil.
“She found out I was your flower boy one morning and she told me I was wasting my time…”
“What?!” your loud tone was a mix of both worry and anger. “Jeongguk, what did she tell you?”
He shrugged, a weak smile curving up his lips. “Does it matter anymore?”
“Of course it does” you argued. “It does to me”.
Letting out another sigh, knowing well enough he could not avoid this anymore, as you deserved to know the whole story just like he did, he grabbed your hands and gently held them in his — partially wanting to let you know it was alright, partially wanting to feel like it was alright. “She said you had told her you hoped it wasn’t me because you would have to give me a chance out of pity,” the look in your eyes right then made his heart hurt. “Because I was not popular, and I barely ever talked, so you would always be bored around me yet would have to pretend like you were not…”
“Bun, I never said that. I neve—”
“I know” he cut you off before you could freak out completely. “Petal, I know that now”.
“No, but she lied!” you raised your voice for him to hear you out. “I’m never bored around you, you know that, right? And the few times we got to talk back then I was never bored either, I…”
“Baby, I know…” he soothed you, cupping your face and pressing his forehead on yours. “I know. It’s okay”.
“Guk, I had feelings for you back then” you confessed, feeling your voice break.
He took in a shaky breath. Somehow, hearing that coming from you had hurt more than finding out from someone else like he had a few days ago. “It’s okay”.
And it was. It really was. You were together now. Somehow, you had managed to find your way back to each other years later and didn’t have to know what your lives were like without each other. However, the fact that it was alright, it didn’t mean it did not hurt. Because it did hurt. Thinking you could’ve been together ever since three years ago. How you wouldn’t have dated that asshole who broke your heart, and how he wouldn’t have gone three years of his life believing he was not enough. All of that, was not something the two of you could easily let go of.
“So all this time... you really believed I had said that about you? Even when we were friends, when we became a couple…” your voice sounded more broken by the second. “You let me back into your life even when I had supposedly said all those things back then?”
“Call me delusional, but I still really wanted to be close to you” he sheepishly admitted. That’s how he knew he would always have a soft spot for you, no matter what. “And anyway, baby, in my mind that was the high school you. You didn’t seem like the person who said those things back then at all when I got to actually meet you” he reassured you, then bitterly adding: “Now I can see why”.
You breathed uneasily. “You’re too good to me…”
“Yah, Y/N” he called you out immediately. “I told you, we’re not doing this”.
“But I really don’t deserve y—”
Your words were cut off by his lips softly pressing down on yours. Just like you would always call him out whenever he thought less of himself, hating it when he did that, he, too, hated hearing you say stuff like that about yourself.
“It doesn’t matter anymore” he whispered against your lips.
“Yes, it does…” you pouted. “She lied to both of us and we believed her. We could’ve been together ever since...”
“I know…”
“Three years, Guk. We lost three fucking years” you reminded him. “What if I hadn’t asked you to be my partner in the project this year, I mean, I wouldn’t even have you in my life and all because of her”.
“I know” he couldn’t hide the bitterness in his words this time. Because he knew very well what you were feeling, for he had felt the exact same a few days ago. “But can we just… forget about it?”
“No, I want to beat the shit out of her” your determined, poisonous tone, could do no other than earn a loud giggle from him.
“Do that later?” he pressed his lips to the crook of your neck. “She already took enough time away from us, let’s not let her get in between us anymore. We’re making up now, it’s just us two...”
It was now your turn to giggle, relaxing under his loving touch and nodding your head in agreement before you leaned in to briefly press your mouth to his jaw. “We’ll just have to catch up on all those lost years then”.
He laughed under his breath, cupping your face once more as he leaned in just enough for his lips to faintly brush yours. “I guess we’ll just have to do that”.
Enjoying the sound of that, you puckered your lips up right as his soft ones came in contact with them, wrapping your arms tightly around his neck so you could deepen the kiss. Humming contentedly when his tongue made its way inside your mouth, you felt his hands let go of your face and wander down your back, holding onto your hips to bring you even closer to the edge of the kitchen counter, at which you reacted by wrapping your legs around his hips to help him create the friction between your bodies he was asking for.
You found yourself letting go of his neck to dig your hands inside his sweatshirt instead, smiling coyly at the way you felt goosebumps form on his skin. You had discovered not long ago he was quite ticklish on his sides, and you absolutely loved faintly running your hands along them just to get that reaction out of him.
He breathed heavily when your fingertips made their way up his abs, letting his hands go down lower from their current spot on your back and placing them on your ass instead, giving it a light squeeze as he took advantage on said action to grind his hips against your center.
“Mm…” you let out quietly, finding out just then how much you had missed feeling him close like that.
“You think they’ll be home soon?” he asked, referring to your two chaotic friends, as he peppered a trail of kisses down to your neck.
“They must be just getting started on drinking” you let him know, a smile curving up your lips at the sensation of his wet ones sucking on your skin. “Why? You got something in mind?”
The chuckle that left his mouth tickled your skin, feeling one last kiss being placed on it before his lips were briefly back on yours. “Only if you’re up for it”.
Your lips parted in a bright smile, without another word, shoving him lightly out of the way so you could place your feet on the ground — gently taking his hand in yours and having his adoring eyes stuck to you as you guided him over to your room.
Once inside, and as you let go of his hold so you could turn around to lock the door just in case your friends decided to come home earlier than expected, his eyes fell on the multiple tiger lilies he had left on your seat over the last two days, along with the bouquet of flowers he had sent over to your place earlier that day, all of them carefully lying on your desk by one side of the bed. Smiling at the fact that you had kept them all —as he had been worried you would’ve thrown them away when he first sent them—, he turned around towards you right as you were done with the door, cupping your face immediately and bringing his lips to meet yours in a quite needy kiss.
Walking you backwards towards the bed as he refused to break the hot contact between your mouths, he helped you lie down on it as he crawled over your figure, parting your legs open with his knee so he could lie in between them — a light laugh of his resonating against your mouth when your hands were back into his sweatshirt and the trace of your fingertips tickled his sides.
Wanting more of you as well, he found himself digging his hands inside your t-shirt just like he had grown fond of ever since that one time in his room, letting them make their way up to your breasts so he could tease them a little bit. Only, this time, he was met not by the thin fabric of your bra, but with your soft skin instead — feeling your nipples instantly harden at his sudden touch as a small hum abandoned your lips.
Not being able to hide his —very pleasant— surprise, he withdrew his lips from yours; wide eyes staring at you before they travelled down to your still covered breasts.
At his quite cute reaction, you couldn’t help but let out a giggle. “I’m wearing pyjamas, is it really that surprising?”
It shouldn’t be. He knew that very well, considering you had not once worn a bra whenever you slept over at each other’s. However, being so caught up in the moment, he had seemed to forget about that altogether.
Deciding to say nothing, he leaned down instead to trap your bottom lip in between his again, sucking lightly on it as his hands squeezed your breasts in such a way that left you wanting more in a heartbeat.
“Mm… fuck” you moaned ever so quietly when one of his thumbs teased your nipple.
Smiling at your reaction, he moved his kisses all the way down from your mouth to your collarbone, feeling your chest heavily move up and down when his mouth came close to it. Firmly placing his hands on the curve under your breasts, he lifted your body up with ease to adjust you up enough on the mattress so that your still covered breasts were now right under his face.
Not giving you a second to process what had just happened, he lowered his face to your chest, pressing open mouth kisses on the fabric that was still covering it, and getting another moan out of you when his hand went back to teasing one of your breasts under your t-shirt, while his hot mouth sucked on your other one over it.
“Guk, fuck” you gasped, feeling goosebumps form on your skin when his lips travelled down to your bellybutton and his hands abandoned your chest to tug at the end of your top instead.
Biting down on his lip, he glanced up to you before doing anything else. “Is it okay if I?”
Although his question had been left incomplete, you answered him with an eager nod of your head, wanting nothing but to feel his wet mouth on your sensitive buds already.
Tongue wetting his lips in anticipation, he lifted your t-shirt over your chest — leaving it still on yet completely exposing you to his eyes. And it was the way his eyes fixed on your naked chest like the world had just stopped, what managed to make you nervous enough to bring your arms up to cover them.
“I would’ve worn something hotter for you to look at if I had known this was going to happen” you couldn’t help but joke your way out of it.
Jeongguk laughed lightly, leaning down to peck your neck a couple of times, trying to ease your sudden nervousness. “I don’t think anything could ever top this”.
Because although he was sure getting to see you in lingerie would be one hell of a sight, he loved this view the most. He loved looking at you, with absolutely nothing on the way of your body and his eyes.
And just like that, his teasing yet genuine words were the last push you needed to relax under both his touch and stare, allowing him to gently grab your wrists and remove your arms from off your chest. Receiving a small nod from you when his questioning eyes fixed on yours for a second, he planted two short kisses to your mouth before they were back on your chest.
Your back curved up with the first lap of his tongue on one of your nipples, feeling your breathing become heavier when his lips wrapped around it without any kind of warning.
“Jeongguk…” you moaned in what sounded like a plea.
Wanting to hear more of his name coming out as one of your pretty moans, he swirled his tongue harder around your bud, right as his thumb teased the one he had left unattended until then - not many seconds going by before he moved his mouth over to it so he could tease it as well.
“Fuck,” you gasped when his mouth sucked on your skin. “Jeongguk”.
Catching on the way you had pushed your hips slightly up to try and get some friction out of his already hardened length, he found himself giving you one slow thrust that had you both moaning whilst wanting more. Instead of grinding on you again, however, he let go of your breast and let his hand wander down to your pants instead, palming your already wet core through them before he fidgeted with their waistband.
“Please,” you begged.
“Hm?” he hummed against your jaw, as he placed a sweet kiss to it before going to your lips.
“Your fingers” you managed to blurt out, feeling like you were losing your mind over the way his long fingers were now teasingly digging inside your pants. “Jeongguk, please”.
Although he found out right then that he  loved hearing you beg, he wanted the most to make you feel good, which is why he was quick to comply with your wishes. Palming you now over your damp panties, he felt your body shake at the contact — a gasp escaping your mouth when his fingers made the fabric aside and they started rubbing circle motions on your folds.
You felt warmer and way more wet than he had expected, and he felt the sudden urge to run his tongue along your folds to get a taste of your arousal. However, right then, he knew what you wanted, what you needed, were his fingers inside of you. So, he did just that.
“Ah, fuck” you threw your head harder against the mattress when one of his fingers made its way into you.
“You’re so tight...” he breathed out in amazement, feeling himself get harder at the thought of what it would be like to feel your walls tightening around his cock instead.
Slowly shifting his finger inside your responsive walls, he focused on taking in your facial expressions to try and figure out what pace you liked the most — sticking with a faster one after one particular moan had escaped your lips right after he speeded up his pistoning motions.
“Like that?” he asked nevertheless, planting a lingering kiss to your chest.
“Yes” you managed to blurt out, grinding your hips against his finger, being desperate for more.
Catching up on that, he added another digit, hissing at the way your walls had seemed to tighten even more around them. Opening and closing his fingers in scissoring motions as he tried to stretch you out so he could move around with ease, he felt your breathing become heavier by the second, letting out a choked moan when he experimented by curling his digits against your walls.
“Oh, fuck” you whimpered when he curled them once more, managing to hit with them that one spot that could make you come undone in a matter of minutes.
“Feels good?” he asked, admiring your factions as you were too immersed in your own pleasure to remember how to speak.
“Mhm…” you answered with a simple sound instead, mewling when his motions sped up their pace. “So good”.
“Fuck,” he blurted when he felt your juices running down your slit. “Baby, you’re dripping”.
“Jeongguk, don’t stop” you begged when you felt his fingers no longer moving inside of you, desperately grabbing his wrist when you felt them start to pull out. “Don’t stop”.
He reassured you with an intoxicating kiss that made you dizzy. “I wanna eat you out”.
Your breath hitched at his low words, feeling your walls tighten when you opened your eyes to meet his hungry ones. And you didn’t have to even think before you were nodding your head. You needed him, that was all you knew. No matter if it were his fingers, his mouth or his cock, you were desperate for him right then, and would let him have you however he wanted.
Kissing your lips one more time, he felt you whimper against his mouth when his fingers pulled out of you, causing you to close your legs as you tried to replace the way they felt with the friction your thighs could provide you with. It didn’t last long, though, for Jeongguk was quick to pull them open once more so he could remove your pyjama pants along with your panties, licking his lips in anticipation at the perfect sight he got of your dripping folds.
“Fuck, you’re so hot” he rasped, causing your cheeks to burn and another whimper escape your mouth when his thumb brushed faintly over your clit.
“Jeongguk, please” begging seemed to be your only way of communication that night, and he would be lying if he said he wasn’t enjoying the hell out of it.
Pulling you closer to him, he placed your thighs over his shoulders before he finally brought his face up to your heat. Worrying for a split second there, as he was not entirely sure as to what was the right way to do this, he decided to go with his instinct —just like he had done seconds ago when his fingers were inside of you— and begin by slowly sliding his tongue through your folds. The way your body had trembled and a moan of yours had reached his ears as soon as he did, let him know he was doing well.
Delving his tongue in your slit, you instinctively reacted by pulling your hips slightly away from him at the pleasure his ministrations were giving you, and Jeongguk didn’t hesitate before grabbing your thighs and pulling you closer to his mouth once more, sucking on your wet heat before he pushed his tongue inside.
“Oh, God” you whimpered when he started fucking you with his tongue. “J-Jeongguk, yes”.
Moaning loudly when he pushed a finger back into you, you grabbed onto one of your breasts with one hand, as your other one travelled down to entangle your fingers in his already messy hair, earning a muffled moan from him when you pulled lightly at it.
Curling his finger inside you the way he had found out drove you crazy, his mouth let go of your heat, planting a small kiss on it before he licked his way up your folds and stopped by your clit. Although he was not experienced in all this at all, he did know stimulating that small button of yours could work wonders, and he was willing to give it a try. The second he swirled his tongue around it and you cried out in pleasure, he knew it wouldn’t take much longer before you reached your climax if he kept applying pressure on that particular spot.
Tightening his hold on one of your thighs to keep you from moving away as your body writhed beneath him, he added a second finger inside you, sucking on your clit before his tongue came in contact with it again.
“Mm—ah, Jeongguk. Fuck” you cried incoherently, curling your toes as you felt your climax getting closer. “Fuck, d-don’t stop”.
Feeling your walls tighten around his fingers, he could tell as well that you were close. Pushing his digits deeper into you, he managed to hit once more that one spot you needed him the most.
“Right there” you let him know, curving your back when he followed your words and his fingers brushed over it once more. “Oh, righ—fuck!” you whimpered.
“Let go, baby” he rasped, replacing his mouth on your clit with his thumb and pressing down on it in circle motions. “Cum for me”.
The mere sound of that, along with the way his mouth had came in contact with your folds as his fingers kept fucking into you, were all you needed to finally come undone under his touch, crying out his name one last time as his fingers helped you ride out your orgasm.
Closing your eyes and letting the aftershocks take over your body, you moaned lightly at the feel of your boyfriend’s tongue running along your slit, tasting the juices that were dripping down on it and licking you clean before he made his way back next to you, hovering over your figure and kissing you hungrily yet somehow gently. One of his thumbs caressed your hip as his other one came in contact with your chin, drawing circular motions on your skin as you kissed him back — eyes still closed as you felt your body finally steadying.
“Was that alright?” he asked, planting a lingering kiss to your mouth.
Opening your eyes, you looked at him with disbelief written all over them. “It was amazing” you reassured him with a smile nevertheless, allowing his mouth to come in contact with yours once more.
Pulling him closer by wrapping one arm around his neck, you felt something hard poke one of your sides, causing you to undo the kiss and stare down to the outline of his hardened member against the loose fabric of his pants.
“Want me to help you with that again?” you teasingly raised one of your eyebrows, earning a small lip bite from him at the memories of how good you had made him feel not too long ago.
Although it took him a second, he nodded his head. A smile curved up the corners of your lips at that, only for it to be replaced with a frown when his hand stopped you from reaching for his cock.
“Not like that” he shook his head.
You pouted in confusion. “Then how…”
Wetting his lips with his tongue, he leaned down to brush his mouth with yours. “I want to fuck you”.
You felt a wave of heat hit your body at his words, for although he had just seen and touched pretty much all of you, and you had just offered to suck him off, you had thought that would be as far as you’d get, just like that one time in his room when it had led to nothing else.
“W-What?” your voice betrayed you by stuttering a bit.
“I want to fuck you” he repeated, sounding just as determined as he had before. “You don’t want to?”
“No, I want to!” you were quick to clarify. Fuck, you wanted to. “It’s just… You sure you want this? With me?”
“I’ve wanted to have you like this for so long, Y/N. I could not be any more sure” his words sent shivers up your spine. “Besides, sorry to remind you, petal, but you are my girlfriend, so…”
“That I am, huh?” you played along, pulling him down by the neck of his sweatshirt so your lips could meet his. “Then I guess I’ll be good to you tonight and let you have your way with me”.
Smiling contentedly at your words, he wasted no time in crashing his mouth on yours, burying one of his hands under your t-shirt to give one of your breasts a tight squeeze before he tugged at the end of the fabric — eyebrows furrowing slightly and puzzled eyes opening when you held your top down by pressing your arms to your sides, not allowing him to pull it up so he could take it off.
“Wha—”
“It’s unfair you’re about to leave me naked while you’re still fully dressed, don’t you think?” you pointed out with pouty lips.
Rolling his eyes in amusement, he sat up on the mattress so he could take his sweatshirt off, being followed by you right after, as you helped him get rid of it with a smile on your face. Now, you had seen him shirtless once, when you were having food in his room one evening and he stained his t-shirt with soda, proceeding to change into another one right in front of you, but you had seen little to nothing of his torso, as he had turned almost fully around as he did so. And hence now, you could not hide the hungry look on your face as you stared at his toned chest.
“My eyes are up here” he teased you with an amused smile, causing you to send a playful glare his way.
“You didn’t exactly look into my eyes either when you pulled my t-shirt up, so…”
He chuckled at your snarky remark, leaning in to connect his mouth with yours and then tugging once more at the end of your top, just like he had done a minute before. This time, however, you pulled your arms up, letting go of his mouth so he could get rid of that one last piece of clothing of yours that was bothering him so much.
Not wasting any more time, you helped him out of the rest of his clothes as well, giggling against his lips when they needingly crashed on yours once more, with one swift movement lying you down on the mattress as your curious, wandering hands became familiar with each other’s bodies.
A raspy moan escaped Jeongguk’s throat when your hand stroked his member, being followed by a choked one when you tightly wrapped your hand around it, gently moving it up and down his length.
“Fuck, Y/N” he breathed heavily, burying his face in the crook of your neck as he unconsciously thrusted into your hand. “I need you”.
You smiled at the sound of his begging words, leaving a small kiss on his naked shoulder before you released his member from your hold and pushed him on his back, letting him adjust into a more comfortable position as he rested his back against the headboard, before you sunk your knees down on the mattress on each side of his lap — his hands immediately resting on the curve of your waist and a shaky breath coming out of his mouth at the feel of your wet core rubbing ever so faintly against his cock.
“You sure you want this?” you asked.
He eagerly nodded his head, pulling you back to meet his swollen lips. “I want you so bad”.
Feeling a wave of heat rushing through your body at that, you nodded your head, pecking his lips one more time before you reached for your nightstand, opening its small drawer and taking a condom out of it. Going back to your boyfriend, you were met with his rather taken aback expression.
“You knew this was going to happen or…” he questioned with a raised brow and a teasing smile.
You shook your head as a shy smile curved up your lips. “The two idiots I live with filled my drawer with them when we started staying over at each other’s regularly” you explained with a roll of eyes. “They also left a box full of them in my closet”.
Jeongguk laughed wholeheartedly at that. “Well, that’s good to hear. They will come in handy”.
Laughing along with him at his joyful remark, you opened the small envelope in your hands, pulling slightly back so you were no longer hovering over his member and could slide the condom on it with ease — feeling Jeongguk’s breath hitch at both the unfamiliar feel of the thin latex around his length, and the familiar one of your hands on it. Staring back at him once you were done, you stole a sweet kiss from his lips, hearing him moan against your mouth when your hand was once more wrapped around his cock, pumping it a couple more times as you aligned it with your entrance.
And then, locking eyes with him for a second, you kissed him slowly. As slowly as you had started to sink down on him.
Letting go of the kiss as he involuntarily tilted his head back, Jeongguk let out a loud moan, immediately getting lost into what was without a doubt the most pleasure he had ever felt. And he knew right away that your warm, wet walls wrapping tightly around his member, was something he could easily become addicted to.
Staring lovingly at the way his eyes remained closed and his mouth slightly open, you couldn’t help but moan as well as you pushed down lower on him, feeling your walls stretching as you tried to take his entire length.
“Fuck” he rasped when he was completely inside of you.
Tightening his hold on your hips, he pulled you slightly closer to him on his lap, not being able to hold back a blissful chuckle at the way the friction he had just created made him feel.
“What is it?” you wondered with a smile of your own when he leaned in to rest his forehead on your shoulder.
“It feels so good” he let you know with another chuckle.
Joining him on his sudden outburst of joy, you let out a light laugh just as he pressed an open mouth kiss to your shoulder, loving to be the one who got to share this moment with him — to be the one he wanted to share this moment with. Pressing a small kiss to the top of his head, you placed two fingers under his chin to push it up and have him look at you. Once he did, you leaned in to steal a lingering kiss.
“I love you” you said for the third time that night.
He smiled brightly, bringing his lips up to yours and locking them in a slow kiss. “I love you more”.
Opening your mouth to fight him on that, what came out of it instead was a choked moan after he pulled your hips down on his cock.
“Jeongguk, fuck” you let your forehead fall to his shoulder when he pushed his hips up to yours.
Slowly rolling your hips, you met him right as he thrusted up on you once more, causing a small moan to make its way out of his mouth. “Mm… baby…”
With his hands firmly grabbing your hips, you let him guide the pace as you rode him, loosely wrapping your arms around his neck and resting your forehead on his as the two of you grew used to the rhythm he was leading. Closing your eyes, you let your heavy breathings mix as they were now, along with a few moans here and there, the only sound filling your silent bedroom.
“O-Oh, fuck” you gasped when he pulled you down harder on him, somehow managing to push deeper inside of you.
You leaned slightly back when he repeated said action, tilting your head back as well and then humming quietly when you felt his warm lips wrap around one of your breasts, slowly sucking on your nipple, as you had just given him the perfect opportunity to do just that, wrapping his arms tightly around your waist and pulling you closer to him as you kept rolling your hips at the same pace he had created for you before.
“Mh—ah! Fuck” he moaned when you pushed your legs up, enough for only half of his cock to be inside of you, to later take it all in again. “Y/N…”
Doing it again, you couldn’t stop the whimper that had just abandoned your mouth as his length had managed to reach that soft spot of yours. Needing more of him, you sped up the pace of your grinding against his hips, feeling him finally let go of your sensitive bud to let his sweaty forehead rest in the crook of your neck as his moans became louder by the second.
“Wait, wait” he demanded breathily, placing his hands on your hips and firmly holding them down so you would stop moving. “Stop”.
“What’s wrong?” you worried, doing as told in a heartbeat.
He shook his head no, quietly letting you know nothing was really wrong, as he buried his face deeper in the crook of your neck and closed his eyes while he tried his best to catch his breath. “Feels too good” he admitted in a raspy voice. “Don’t wanna cum yet”.
You giggled under your breath, finding silent joy on the fact that he hadn’t asked you to stop because he wasn’t enjoying what you were doing, but because he was liking it too much.
Lowering your head to his shoulder, you planted a small kiss on it. “You can cum if you want” you let him know, pressing another soothing kiss to the crook of his neck. “I understand”.
He shook his head no, letting out a heavy sigh as his thumbs drew tender circles on your skin. Maybe it was his ego, or just the fact that he really wanted to make you feel good too, maybe both, what made him refuse to let himself go right then, no matter how bad he wanted to. No matter how hard it was not to.
Smiling sweetly at him, you brought one of your hands up to his damp hair while your other one caressed his back, entangling your fingers in his dark locks as you waited for him to come down from the high he had been about to reach. Letting out a sigh when he felt like he could finally breathe again, he placed his hands on your back to pull you closer — lips looking for yours when your naked chest pressed on his.
Kissing him hard, you opened your mouth for his tongue to meet yours after it had traced your bottom lip, wrapping your arms tightly around his neck and trying your best not to roll your hips like you were dying to. Although you didn’t have to hold back for much longer, for with one last kiss and with his warm hands still holding you down on his cock, he pushed it deeper inside of you.
“Fuck” you gasped at the sudden stimulation, taking it as your cue to start moving as well.
“F—Y/N” he moaned when your hips met his in the middle, as they pushed into you once more.
Helping you lead the pace once again, he held you by the waist, digging his fingers into your hot skin and deciding right there, as you moaned his name and your walls tightened around his cock, that he wanted to take over from then on. So, with a swift movement, you were now under him as he laid your back on the mattress — a light moan escaping your lips when he pulled out of you to make you more comfortable on the bed, immediately becoming whiny as you missed his whole length inside of you.
“No, don’t stop fucking me” you pouted, breath hitching when he grabbed your thighs and pulled you closer to where he was sitting down on the mattress. “Jeongguk, please”.
He smiled at both the sound and sight of you right then, really enjoying them one hell of a lot. It was your messy hair, swollen lips and naked chest that moved up and down as you breathed heavily, along with the neediness in your voice as you were begging for him once more, what made it easy for him to decide he liked being in control.
Catching your bottom lip in his mouth as he adjusted himself in between your legs, he heard you beg one more time against his lips. However, just as you did, he felt one of your hands desperately go down to your center so you could feel something inside of you. Only you didn’t get to, for his hand grabbed your wrist right before your fingers could find their way inside, managing to grab your other one as well and pin them over your head as he pushed his hips down enough for the head of his cock to align with your wet center.
“I’m the one fucking you tonight, petal”.
You moaned at the sound of his words being murmured against your neck — the way such sweet pet name had been said with such a lustful tone right then, making you somehow even more needy for him.
“Please,” you breathed out, overwhelmed by the way his mouth teased the sensitive skin of your neck and he rubbed his cock against your core, not quite pushing into you yet. “Jeongguk, please. I need you”.
“What was that?” he wondered teasingly.
“I need you” you repeated. “Jeongguk, please. Please fuck m—ah!” your head was thrown back in pleasure when he slammed his entire length into you, just the way you were so badly begging for.
Hungrily kissing your mouth, he muffled the moans that came out of it with each thrust of his hips — letting go of your lips as a low groan made its way out of his throat when your walls wrapped tighter than he had felt them do that evening, as you were getting closer to reach your high.
Letting his forehead fall to your shoulder, he muffled a cry against your skin as you wrapped your legs around his waist and your walls tightened once more against his cock, knowing right then he wouldn’t be able to last much longer.
“Harder” you pleaded breathily, arching your back as he wasted no time in complying. “F-Fuck, Jeongguk. Ah!”
“Y/N” he rasped your name, feeling his inevitable release about to hit. “Fuck, I’m g-gonna cum”.
Not being able to form any kind of coherent sentence right then, you settled for an eager nod of your head to let him know it was okay. Digging your nails on the wet skin of his back, you scratched your way down on it when he once again managed to find that one soft spot of yours that had you crying out in a second.
“Right there,” you desperately let him know, feeling your legs start to give up when he kept hitting it with each of his thrusts. “Fuck, right there”.
“A-Ah, Y/N, I’m—” he stumbled upon his own words, not being able to hold on anymore given how much tighter you were getting now around him. “Mm… I’m gon—ah!”
Groaning one last time, he let himself go like he had fought so hard not to — your pulsating walls around his cock finally driving him over the edge.
Although overwhelmed by the intense wave of pleasure running through his body, beginning to feel dizzy even, he did not slump down on you to catch his breath like he so badly needed to. Instead, he kept riding his own orgasm — his thrusts becoming sloppier yet rougher as he greedily tried to drive you over the edge, too.
And it was only a matter of seconds before you did.
“J-Jeongguk, I’m—ahh!” you cried out one last time, feeling your shaky legs give up as you came undone beneath him.
Helping you ride out your orgasm as well, Jeongguk whimpered at the overstimulation, finally letting his body slump down on yours and burying his face on your neck, as he felt his body tremble with each spasm of your walls around him. Feeling his hot, heavy breath hit your sweaty neck as the two of you desperately tried to catch your breath, you entangled once more your fingers on the hair at the back of his head — fingertips ever so tenderly moving in circular motions in a soothing way.
Closing your eyes for a couple of seconds, you felt his thumb caress one of your sides, later having you opening your eyes when he pressed two brief kisses to the crook of your neck and a breathy laugh of his was soon to follow right after.
“What’s so amusing?” you wondered, feeling the corners of your mouth curve up when another chuckle of his reached your ears.
“That was amazing” he confessed, causing your face to burn as your smile grew wider. Pressing one of his arms down on the mattress, he held his body up so he could lock his eyes with yours. “Was it okay for you?”
You bit your bottom lip, shyly looking away for a split second before your eyes focused back on his. “Jeon Jeongguk,” you called his name in a serious tone.
“Hm?”
“You made me cum twice” you reminded him, loving the sight of his already flushed cheeks turning even more pink than they already were. “I think that speaks for itself”.
He let out a shy laugh, tilting your chin up as he brought his lips down to yours and kissing you sweetly for a good couple of seconds, later moving his lips over to press an open mouth kiss to your cheek before he finally pulled out of you. Removing the condom from his member, he crawled to the edge of the bed and reached for the small bin you kept under your desk next to your bed, bringing it closer to him and throwing the used latex into it before he went back to lie on his stomach next to you — blissfully letting you kiss his lips once more like you had just reached up to.
“I’ll get better at it” he promised, earning a quiet giggle from you.
“Well, we do have three years to make up for, so I guess we’ll both get a lot of practice” you pointed out coyly.
“And we don’t have to worry about running out of condoms anytime soon” he reminded you, amusement clear in his voice.
Throwing your head back on the mattress, you allowed a throaty laugh to escape your mouth, later looking back at him and bringing your hand up to cup one of his cheeks. Gently caressing it a couple of times, you puckered your lips up for him to come closer and cut the space between your mouth — smiling softly when he complied in a heartbeat, slowly sucking on your bottom lip.
“I love you” he mumbled on your lips, loving the way he was finally able to say it freely, knowing you felt the same, like he had been aching you to all along.
“I love you more” you repeated his previous answer with a smile.
Kissing your lips chastely, he shook his head no, tilting his head towards the flowers that were taking over your desk. “Those are proof that I love you more”.
You scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest. “Those are proof that you’ve loved me for longer, it’s got nothing to do with the amount of it”.
“Mhm…” he nodded his head, letting you know with both the tone of his voice and the look on his eyes that you were not convincing him. “Whatever works for you, petal” his lips turned into a smile as he let his back slump down on the bed.
“Yah,” you gently shoved him off, feeling your heart skip a beat when you heard him laugh.
Pulling you to his chest by wrapping an arm around you, he planted a kiss to your forehead. Although you had sighed contentedly after resting your face on his chest, he didn’t miss the way your mind was quite absent right then.
“What’s wrong?” his eyebrows knitted together, growing somewhat more confused after following with his eyes to where yours were staring at and having them fall on the flowers.
“Nothing” you smiled, unconsciously running your fingers along his chest. “I just wish these particular ones would last forever”.
Smiling as he adoringly stared at you, he hugged you closer to his body. “I can get you all the flowers you want”.
At that, your head snapped up so you could lock eyes with him. The mischievous smile that had just formed on your mouth as you cockily raised one of your eyebrows, letting him know right away he was about to regret what he had just said. “You’ll be like my flower daddy then?”
Yup, there it was, the regret.
“Anddd, you ruined it” he lamented.
Letting his head fall back down on the mattress, he closed his eyes as he tried his best to fight the smile that was threatening with taking over his face, knowing he would fail miserably at it when he heard you chuckle next to him — finally giving in to it and laughing as well as you peppered open mouth kisses around his face.
Although popular, loud, chaotic, bubbly, impulsive as hell, and just the complete opposite to what he was, he could not be any happier it was you the one his heart had chosen to fall irretrievably in love with.

before i fell // dm x reader
words: 2.8k
warnings: angst, talk of a breakup, mention of loss of virginity, mention of not eating, mention of not sleeping, pansy is kinda ooc and so is draco, the slytherins are assholes
a/n: i used a lot of olivia rodrigo lyrics bc i listened to SOUR while writing lol. lmk if i should add other warnings and happy reading babies!
you would be cliche and say that you fell in love the way that you fall asleep. slowly and then all at once. but you couldn’t because you didn’t. it wasn’t a john green novel and you weren’t hazel grace lancaster. falling in love wasn’t simple, and that description of it truly… didn’t describe anything. falling in love was more complicated than that. there were more layers to it than that. falling in love was rather… quick and unexpected. unexpected like snow in the middle of march. or rain when there’s not a cloud in sight. quick like waiting months for an event and finally when the time comes, it feels like you blinked and then it was over.
falling in love with draco malfoy was all of these things and more. falling in love with draco malfoy brought upon more layers than that. falling in love with draco malfoy brought pain. not just any kind of pain, no… horrible, heart wrenching, gut twisting pain. pain that began by bubbling itself in your chest right at the center of your heart, then slowly but surely worked it’s way outwards. encapsulating your entire body and making every inch of your body ache. pain like when you get attached to a character and the author kills them off. pain like when you finish your favorite book and you realize that you’re not truly in that universe and none of that actually happened. pain like when you’re two hours, fifteen minutes, and twelve seconds into avengers: infinity war and peter parker says “mr. stark, i don’t feel so good.” pain that you’ve never felt. pain that can’t be described. pain that you felt for days. pain.
you thought it was strange when the platinum blonde slytherin sought you out. he came to you one day while you sat silently at the black lake. you were alone, but only because you liked to be. you had friends of course, many actually, but you chose to be alone. the black lake was your place of solace. then along came draco. he sat beside you, a good distance away, but his presence was known. you looked to him for an explanation but he offered none. just smiled at you and turned to his notes, so you did the same. the second time he came, he sat closer, but still in silence. the third time is when he struck up conversation.
“yln, yeah?” he questioned.
“yn, actually. but yes, yn yln. and you’re draco malfoy?” you asked.
“i am,” he smirked at your knowledge of his name and then you returned to your studying. after that, the two of you talked every time he came and sat with you. short discussions about the weather or the potions assignment. you don’t know when, but soon they became longer. discussions of your day and your family. your interests and how you got your name. how you loved the rain and the stars and how you loved hogwarts, but you often missed home. draco knew you inside and out and you knew him—and before long, you called the tall, skinny blonde your boyfriend.
you walked the halls of hogwarts together, hand in hand. draco walked haughtily with a hard scowl and you with a bright smile. while you walked cheerfully and waved to your friends and to first years while draco glared at anyone who dared look at the two of you. he took you to parties in the slytherin common room and you wore his jersey proudly at quidditch games, even when he played against your house. he bought you lavish gifts at all of your trips to hogsmeade and he showered you in kisses, praise, and affection. you were whole heartedly smitten with the sole heir to the malfoy fortune.
it was one fateful day in the common room when your heart absolutely exploded. that was the day you knew that you fell in love with draco malfoy. you had been a thing for about two, going on three, months. you were sitting in the slytherin common room, reading in silence when he asked. you were pressed against his chest and he pressed a soft kiss to your head. “‘ve been meaning to ask you something,” he murmured gently. this caused you to close the book and turn your full attention to him. “want you to wear this,” he said, holding out a ring. “it’s the malfoy family crest.”
your stomach and your heart exploded into billions of butterflies and you launched yourself forward, straight into his chest. millions of emotions overcame you as you squeezed his neck as tight as possible. you nodded into his neck as a few stray tears fell. he kissed your head repeatedly as he slid the ring onto your finger before pressing his lips to your’s gently. you giggled excitedly as you stared down at the ring on your finger. “do you like it?” he asked you.
“i love it, dray. i love you. thank you s’much,” you confessed for the first time as you cuddled back into his chest. you don’t know what it was that made the blonde boy seek you out, but you’re glad he did. if only you knew the true nature of his intentions. but alas, you were oblivious.
it was the beginning of the school year, on the train to hogwarts. in the compartment of what was labeled as “the slytherin squad.” there sat theo nott, pansy parkinson, blaise zabini, and—your now boyfriend—draco malfoy.
they were all sitting around, taking the piss out of draco for all of his past failed relationships when it was brought up. “i’ll bet malfoy couldn’t get a girl to fall in love with him if he paid her,” theo spoke.
“i’ll take that bet,” draco countered.
“alright. but we get to pick the girl,” blaise decided.
“what?” pansy asked as theo began to look around the compartment. it was a few minutes before he found the victim. it was then that your fate was sealed. there, sitting in the back corner, head tucked deep into a copy of the fault in our stars, was you. you. awkward and quiet. you with seemingly no friends. poor little unsuspecting you.
“that one,” nott smirked evilly.
“what the weirdo?!” draco exclaimed incredulously. “no way!”
“so then you forfeit?” blaise asked, causing draco to release a frustrated exhale.
“alright i’ll do it,” he rolled his eyes.
“then we give you five months. make yn yln fall in love with you in five months and we’ll do your homework for the rest of the year,” theo posed.
“and if i don’t?” draco asked.
“and when you don’t… thennn,” blaise taunted as he searched for a deal that was fair.
“then we get two hundred galleons each and you have to apologize to potter for making his life hell,” theo smirked. draco scoffed at this and rolled his eyes, but nodded nonetheless.
“and what are my conditions?” he raised an eyebrow.
“she has to say it first. you can do anything you want or need to get her to say it, but you cannot say ‘i love you’ first,” blaise spoke.
“this doesn’t seem fair to yn,” pansy piped in.
“shut your mouth parkinson. no one asked your opinion,” theo growled with a roll of his eyes. but it was too late. there was absolutely nothing the girl could do to get the three to change their minds. she just had to sit idly by and watch draco malfoy break your heart as she said nothing. she wished that she could stop it, but their minds were made up. and the three of them were very stubborn.
it was a few days after draco gave you his ring when your bubble came crashing down. you were walking to meet draco at your spot at the black lake when blaise and theo intercepted you. you knew who they were, of course you did. they were your boyfriend’s best friends, however why they were currently speaking to you, you had no idea.
they told you it would be quick. that they just wanted to show you something in the slytherin common room and left little room for argument, so you had no choice but to follow them there. they sat you on the couch and began to discuss your relationship with draco. you were very confused and had no idea why you were here. “so… draco hasn’t told you?” blaise mocked a gasp of shock.
“no?” you raised a soft eyebrow as you stared on. this made theo smirk evilly as he pulled up a projector and pointed his wand at it. a picture appeared, it looked like a memory. “what’s this?” you asked before the boys urged you to ‘shh.’ you sunk further into the couch as you idly watched on.
you truly weren’t paying attention untill you heard the voice of your boyfriend. the words he spoke stung. you were soft. emotional. the way he spoke about you absolutely crushed you. it would crush anyone, but it shattered you especially. “she’s so fucking weird!” “i’ll take that bet.”
‘s all you were. all you ever were. just a stupid belt. another notch in his belt. it was that moment that draco had barged into the common room. but by then, it was already too late. the tears had already sprung to your eyes and you were preparing for a torrential downpour as you heard his voice. “i’m out!” he announced breathlessly. he froze in his run as his eyes fell on you and what was playing on the projector currently. “bunny…” he whispered softly as his hand touched your shoulder, but you quickly jerked away as if his hand had burned you on contact.
“don’t call me that. don’t touch me,” you demanded as the tears began to fall. “that’s all i was? a bet?” an involuntary whimper sounded from the depths of your throat. “i feel so stupid.” you shook your head.
“no, bunny please listen to me,” you didn’t allow the boy to finish as you wrapped your arms tightly around yourself.
“don’t call me that!” you demanded. “in fact don’t call me at all. don’t… don’t talk to me draco. ever again. i can’t believe i fell for your stupid joke. i feel so… i feel like an idiot,” you spoke. you shook your head, hastily wiping at your eyes untill you saw stars. it was then that you decided to walk away.
“YN STOP!” draco yelled. “LISTEN to me,” he demanded.
“NO!” you shouted as you turned to face him finally. “godric draco, i wish you would’ve thought this through before i went and fell in love with you,” you sniffled as you wiped your snot on your sweater sleeve.
“yn please just let me explain. please listen to me, please,” he begged.
“i feel like you betrayed me,” you shook your head. “i told you everything. you were my everything. draco i loved you. i actually loved you. i thought you loved me too but i guess you’re just a really good actor,” you sniffled once more. “i hate you draco. i really fucking hate you. i don’t want to hear your bullshit explanation because i know that you’ll never feel sorry for the way i’m hurting right now.”
“it was a bet!” draco shouted as you walked away, hand on the door knob. you scoffed as you muttered a sarcastic, ‘no shit.’ “that’s how it started yes, but then i got to know you. i figured out who you were. i learned that your favorite color is yfc and that you prefer night over day because you love the stars and that your favorite star is scorpius and you would name your son after that star one day. i learned that you love to read and you love when it storms but you're afraid of the thunder. you only dance when you’re drunk and you giggle when you’re nervous and i love that giggle. with everything in me i do. your favorite book is yfb and you choose to be alone but you let everyone be your friend. you’re gorgeous. inside and out and while it may have started as a bet, somewhere along the lines i fell in love with you so yn please. please don’t leave,” he whispered the last part as his voice came out broken.
you took a deep breath in before you began to speak. “you couldn’t have cared less about someone who loved you more. i’d say you broke my heart but you broke much more than that,” you shook your head as you furiously wiped at your eyes again. “i gave you my all draco. you were my first everything. i gave you my virginity for merlin’s sake. all to find out that i was just some stupid bet,” you scoffed.
“yn please believe me when i say that you’re so much more than that,” he begged again. “i came to tell them that they won. that i wanted out because i fell in love with you too!”
“it doesn’t matter if you don’t see me as a bet any longer. the fact is that you did. i’m worth so so much more than that.” your breaths were ragged as you spoke. “i really wish that you had thought this through before i went and fell in love with you.” you repeated with a small sniffle. “don’t you think i loved you too much to be used and discarded? don’t you think i loved you too much to think i deserve nothing?” you were openly sobbing at this point.
“yn please believe me when i tell you how sorry i am…” he spoke softly.
“don’t tell me you’re sorry. feel sorry for yourself. because someday i’ll be everything to somebody else,” with this you turned away from him. you hastily opened the door and practically ran out of the common room and away from him.
at that moment you decided to forget about it. draco, and the bet, and love, and everything. like in the vampire diaries, you decided to turn your emotions off. you laid in your dorm crying for hours before you made that decision, however. your dorm mates checked on you often, but you never offered more than merely a half hearted shrug, letting them know that you were still alive, but barely breathing. you skipped classes and meals. you were a mere shell of yourself. it was about two weeks before you could face draco again. and even then you couldn’t truly. you went into the great hall and found “the slytherin squad” sans draco.
pansy looked at you sympathetically while theo and blaise basked in the glow of their new victory. you pulled the ring off carelessly as you stopped in front of them, hair disheveled and uniform askew. you had dark bags under your eyes from the lack of sleep you’d gotten in the past fourteen days and your eyes were rimmed red with the weight of your emotions. “c’you just give this back to malfoy,” you murmured half-heartedly as you dropped the ring on the table in front of the three. just speaking his name brought you pain.
your shoulders were sunken in defeat and you were but a shell of your usual cheerful self. you don’t even know when the last time you saw daylight or had fresh air was. “wait yln,” pansy called hesitantly. you turned to face her, still staring down at your mary janes as you pulled and twisted your fingers untill you heard your knuckles pop. “you… you really love him, don’t you?”
you just shrugged your right shoulder as you used the heel of your palm to wipe the snot from your rapidly reddening nose. “i was just some stupid bet,” you replied as tears begin to spill rapidly over your waterline.
“if it’s any consolation… it was those two bozos’ idea,” pansy told you as she pointed to blaise and theo.
“doesn’t matter,” you murmured. “he’s still a traitor,” you answered as you walked away, forgetting all about the slytherin prince and his stupid friends. forgetting all about how he hit you with a train of his “love.” forgetting all about how for three months he was your everything. forgetting all about how he wrote to his mum about you and you wrote to your parents about him. forgetting all about draco malfoy. the platinum blonde boy with stormy grey eyes who had a long story buried beneath his haughty exterior. the boy who you called your first. your first kiss. your first time. your first love. forgetting all about the boy that made you fall in love just to tell you it was all a bet.
attempting to revert back to how you were before you fell.

Made to Last || Tyler Seguin/Jamie Benn Pt. 21
A/N: Since I didn’t get much feedback, I let my 2 proofreaders made the call, and they said switch to Jamie. That being said, I think I’m going to wrap up made to last in the next 2 parts, unless you guys want more.
Song Inspo: Made to Last by Issues & No Guidance Chris Brown
Paring: Tyler x Reader Jamie x Reader
Warnings: Cussing
Word Count: 1155
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Jamie's P.O.V.
Things I don't recommend doing:
1. Falling in love with your best friend's fiancé.
2. Telling said fiancé that you love her, especially on the phone after he fucked up.. Again.
It's not like I had planned to fall in love with her. And I'm not sure when I fell in love with Y/N, it kinda just happened. I never planned to tell her either. I wholeheartedly planned on cheering her and Tyler on. Maybe it makes me a shitty person, but when she told me what Tyler did this time around, I felt like maybe I had a chance. I guess that's why I let those little words slip.
Hearing the knock on the door has a tornado of butterflies attacking my stomach. This conversation is really about to happen. As I walk towards my front door several emotions run through my head. Excitement, fear, anxiety, hope. Opening the door there stands Y/N. Even with a tear-stained face, she's the prettiest girl I've ever seen. I step to the side, silently inviting her in. Y/N follows me into my living room where we both sit in awkward silence.
"Jamie are you sure you want to have this conversation?" She looks over at me, worry etched in her features.
"Honestly, I don't know. I've already told you I love you, so we might as well have it." The truth is if this goes wrong, I'll be losing 2 of my closest friends. That being said, I can't just let my confession hang between us.
"When you said you loved me, did you mean as in a sister?" She asks, this time her focus is in her lap.
"No. I'm in love with you. I don't exactly know when this happened, I just know it did. I know Tyler is still in the picture, and I'm not asking you to leave him for me, especially when you're having his baby. But I want you to know how I really truly feel, and from there you can make your decision."
"Okay," I noticed a sense of hesitance in her tone. I take a deep breath before I continue.
"I don't wanna play games. I know you're tired of the same damn thing. I'd fuck around and give you my last name. You're the only one I wanna make love to. You're the only one I wanna pick and choose."
"Jamie I-"
"Hold on, I'm not done. I'm the one you call when shit hits the fan. I'm the one you go to for help with Tyler. I'm the one you call when he's made you cry. Every single time. And please don't take that wrong. I'm more than happy to be the one you come to. I don't make you cry. I would never pull half the shit Tyler has. I'd never run to some skank because we're having issues. I'd do everything and anything I could to make you happy. I'd raise my best friend's kid, if it meant I got to have you."
"Are you done yet?" There was a slight hint of impatience in Y/N's tone. Lovely. Did I already fuck this up?
"Yeah I'm done." I sigh, scared of what she is going to say next.
"I think I need a little time to think about everything you've said. I just have one question."
"That's understandable. Ask me anything you want." I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. Maybe I didn't lay it on too heavy.
"If you're in love with me, why did you push me into Tyler's arms?" It's the same question I've asked myself several times.
"I didn't know I loved you then. I thought I was happy to make you and him both happy. It wasn't until recently, that I realized I was in love with you Y/N. If I knew earlier, I could've saved you a lot of hurt, and I would've."
"I believe you, I just wish I would've known sooner. I need a few days. I'm going to get a room for a few days so I can sort my head out, then I'll let you know where we go from here. One thing I want you to know, is you're never going to lose me, no matter what." That I can live with.
"Are you sure? You can stay here, I'll get a room or I can go stay with Rads." Something about her staying in a hotel just doesn't sit right with me.
"Yes I'm sure, it'll be okay." Y/N tries to reassure me, but it's not working. I have a bad feeling and I don't know why.
"Fine. At least let me pay for it." I offer, trying to ease the bad feeling.
"Okay, you can pay for it. But please give me the space I'm asking for." She pleaded.
"I can do that." I agree.
"Thank you, I appreciate you." With a hug, she walked right out the front door.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N's P.O.V.
After hearing Jamie's confession, you're more confused than ever.  There's a part of you that knows deep down you deserve someone like Jamie in your life. You know he'd treat you right, the proof is in the pudding. He's continuously been your shoulder to cry on, no matter what. Logically he's your best option. You know without a shadow of a doubt that he'd take care of you and the baby without hesitation. The only thing you can think of that's holding you back is Tyler. No matter what bullshit he's put you through, you still love him. Feelings don't just go away overnight.
Sitting alone in your hotel room, you're thinking about who to call to sort your head out and your first choice is Jamie. That's when it hits you. If you were to take Tyler out of the situation, you could really see yourself with Jamie.  Is your decision that easy? It could be if you'd let it. But the stupid voices in your head won't let anything be that easy. You keep circling back to the good times with Tyler. Because face it, there were a lot of good times, but there are a lot of bad times as well. At what point does the bad outweigh the good?
You knew you needed to talk to someone, you just didn't know who would be unbiased in the situation. Your next option was to write everything down. So you did, you wrote down the pros and cons of each man. You wrote down how you were feeling, you wrote down every single thought you were having. After writing everything down, the answer you were looking for was still the same. Jamie would be your best bet. Tyler has shown you time and time again that he really doesn't care. You know the relationship you once had with Tyler was a thing of the past. That thought alone has a fresh wave of sadness washing over you.

Part 2 this finally up! Already thinking about a part 3
Warnings: swearing, pining, addressing unspoken emotions, I mean sorta? Not really though because the vide is more like I like you and I know you like me so let’s fuck and talk later, masturbation (male), some angst, fem reader, written with plus sized reader in mind
Pairing: Katsuki Bakugou x reader
In his defense, it was nearly impossible to get over someone who doesn’t even know how you feel about them. When you’re so completely and undeniably wrapped around their fingers and they so obliviously pull at your heart strings and bring you to your knees.
He knew he was stalling.
He had to talk to her about this at some point, but it was utterly terrifying.
Bakugou hated to admit it, but emotions wasn’t his strength. Dealing with and accepting changes wasn’t any easier for him and this was probably the worst situation he could have found himself in.
Spending night after night feeling sorry for himself after blowing her off just to pathetically call out her name like a prayer.
It wasn’t his fault though!
Every time he got the courage to tell her. Thought he could handle the rejection that might come, she looked at him with that cute smile on her round face and gave him her full attention.
And his heart would drop.
He’d be hit with the reminder that there’s only two possible outcomes. Either she loved and accepted his feelings and he can stop feeling so guilty, or she tell him she didn’t feel the same for him and he’d have to face the fact that he was so desperate for someone who didn’t want him the way he needs them.
No matter the option, their friendship wouldn’t be the same. Sometimes he wasn’t sure if he ever wanted that answer.
Sometimes not knowing felt safer.
She didn’t have to know. He could just pretend everything is fine and not lose his best friend during the day. Then, once he’s alone in the comfort of his dorm, he could take care of those desperate needs.
Could fantasize about her all he wanted and she’d never need to know about how his body and mind betrayed him when he thought about her. How her name came out in stuttering grunts and groans when his hips would buck up in to his fist. How utterly shameless it must look when he straddles his pillow and pretends it’s her he’s fucking instead, desperate declarations of his love mumbled out when he felt like he just couldn’t keep it in anymore.
He knew it wasn’t the healthiest thing to do, but what else was he supposed to do?
Confess? No.
So he tried to convince himself it wasn’t a problem. That it’s fine, he’ll get over it eventually.
Eventually never seemed to show up though.
You know what did?
Her. Of course her.
“Katsuki you ass! Wanna tell me- whoa! Uh I-“
“What the fuck is wrong with you?! Who the fuck just barges into someone’s room like that?!” he snapped, quickly scrambling to cover himself up while she stood there, mouth agape and shocked eyes fixed on him.
He took it back, this was the worse situation he could be in.
“I- well you should have locked the door! Who doesn’t make sure it’s locked before, before you know a-and it’s not like you don’t come barging into mine when ever you feel like it!”.
“You’re fucking ridiculous, mouthing off and you can’t even say jerking off, just shut up and get out woman”. He grumbled, too flustered to find it in him to fight about this. That and his still throbbing cock hidden behind his pillow was desperate for more attention and he couldn’t do anything with her still present.
He would’ve thrown said pillow if it didn’t mean exposing himself just to get her out faster.
“You know what? No”.
“No?” He repeated dumbly, too shocked to even think of anything else to retort with.
There’s a moment of awkward tension. What was likely just a few seconds that felt like eternity. Then like in one his fantasies, she locked the door before finally continuing with whatever her plan was.
“No, we need to talk Katsu”
He wasn’t sure what her game was. Why she’d stubbornly stand her ground in such a situation. Why she’d try to talk now of all times.
“(Yn)-”.
“Oh my go- look we can do the awkward confession thing even though talking about feelings makes you uncomfortable, or we can skip to the part where I ride and figure out the rest later. You’re choice”.
He swore if she didn’t kill him of a heart attack from shock it’ll be a broken neck from whiplash.
“Where the fuck did that confidence come from?!” he spoke just a tad too loud while tossing the pillow to the side.
Throbbing cock pulsing with need on full display for her, she didn’t even hesitate to seat herself on it. Hissing at the stretch and cursing him when he huffed about how she should have let him prep her first.
“Shut the fuck up” she groaned out, rocking her hips slowly to get adjusted before picking up pace and bringing a hand up to play with her chest “I can handle it”.
He rolled his eyes at her, letting her have her little power trip moment. Honestly he was just happy to finally know how her soft doughy hips felt in his hands.
How she let out little squeals when he squeezed and smacked her ass. Even give him the treat of her tight cunt squeezing him just a little more.
And god that little cunt all on its own. Better than his dreams. So much wetter and tighter, he felt like she was choking him with it.
She was perfect, so overwhelmingly perfect. And his. Or at least she will be once he’s had his fill of her body for that night.

Tumblr media
The gold bell chimed quite loudly, informing the baristas that someone had entered their shop. The aroma of fresh ground coffee beans immediately filled your senses once you pushed open the sage green door as the smell feeling of nostalgia and comforted you.
Everything looked the same in the coffee shop. The oak wood floor never changed with coffee stains in certain areas that didn’t quite seem to come off all the way, no matter how hard the employees scrubbed—but it gave the shop character, in your opinion. Different colored potted plants filled the shop in every corner and on the clean white windowsill, making the place look lively. Crisp oxygen mixed with Columbian coffee beans flowed around the shop, making customers want to come back to a comfortable environment. Black and white bistro tables sat within the café, with silver metal bases, holding the circular table tops up as they alternated with colors along the built-in brown bench against the light-gray colored wall; with matching black and white metal chairs that practically screeched against the oak wood floors when someone was trying to scoot in or out of the table.
The entire shop was the exact same from what you remembered it to be six months ago. The only difference was that when you sat on the wooden bench, specifically at the black table in the corner that was right next to the window, the person who was supposed to be in front of you wouldn’t be there; and for that, your heart dropped a little.
Trying not to think too much about your change of mood, you ordered your usual—an iced mocha latte with a pump of sweet vanilla syrup—before you paid and turned around to see which tables were available. The usual corner table was staring right at you, practically mocking you, and you wished that the table was occupied, but then you would’ve felt wrong sitting at a different table when yours was clearly open.
You took your seat on the bench, and almost immediately, you started shaking your leg underneath the table. Your seat felt hot, as if the wood was catching fire underneath you, burning your legs and making you antsy.
Luckily, the shop wasn’t crowded so it took the baristas less than six minutes to make your drink and to call out your name from behind the counter. Quickly, standing up from the burning hot seat, you made your way to the counter, thanking Mel for the drink. Since coming here, you had become quite a constant in the cute Portland coffee shop. Mel was one of the employees that had worked at the shop the longest, so she made everyone’s drinks because she knew the menu the best. So, you caught up with her a bit, and inevitably, she asked where you had been.
“You didn’t find a better coffee shop did you?” She teased, making you chuckle.
“No, I’ve just been, uh, too busy to come around. But I promise, your drinks and shop are still the best,” you said truthfully, to which she beamed. To this day, you hadn’t found a superior coffee shop than ‘Coava’ because the others just didn’t compare—they didn’t make you feel the same way you did with this one. “But thanks for the coffee.” You gave her one last smile before you turned around to make your way back to your table.
And then the bell chimed.
It was as if the sun was peeking out through the clouds; the sun beams strongly pointed down onto the wet pavement after a night of rain, leaving the air with its pleasant smell of petrichor. He was the light that seeped through the curtains, and you knew it was going to be a lovely day.
“Harry…” you stopped in your tracks, careful not to spill the contents of your coffee cup. Your heart skipped several beats once he flashed you his gorgeous smile that you were still hopelessly in love with.
“Hi, Y/N.” Harry mindlessly played with the buttons of his coat as he mentally tried to situate the nerves in his head and stomach. His breath felt like it was stuck in his throat, making his voice slightly trail off with a crack to the tone.
It felt like the two of you were the only ones in the coffee shop—minus the locals who were sitting at the tables, minding their own business, or wondering what the fuck they were doing standing in the middle of the shop—completely and fully captured by the other’s stare and presence.
The loud screeching noise of steam took you out of your dazy trance as you cleared your throat. Harry looked down at his feet before looking up at you through his lashes, shyly intertwining his hands behind his back.
“Uh, would you like to join me?”
Harry raised his brows at your proposal, pursing his lips to contain his giddy excitement. “S-Sure.” You took a deep breath before you started to walk towards the table in the corner—one he was also very familiar with. “This seat...Is this seat taken?” He asked politely but, almost instantly, mentally cursed himself because you wouldn’t have invited him if you were with someone.
You didn’t catch his slip up, instead, you smiled as your face grew warm. “By you, I hope.” Harry blushed, taking a seat on the black metal chair across from you.
“So, how’ve you been? It’s been a while since I last saw you,” you mentioned.
It’d been six months since the last time you saw and sat in front of Harry—a very long six months. The conversation six months ago wasn’t the most happiest of memories because that  conversation brought in the heartache and heartbreak; the chat had included the mutual separation of your relationship that involved tears, chest pain, and as always, the smell of Colombian coffee that surrounded your afflictive conversation, hoping it would calm the tension between you two.
“Yeah, it has been a while, but I’m doing okay. How are you?”
“I’m good.” There was a bit of awkwardness swirling in the air, and you absolutely despised it—you wanted it to leave the shop and never return. You had always imagined what it would be like bumping into Harry again, more importantly, what you would say to him. And despite all those moments daydreaming of finding the right words, you were completely stuck, and you fully blamed it on the awkward tension. “Can we not be…y’know, awkward? That’s not us,” you simply said.
Harry let out a sigh of relief, adding a breathy laugh. “Yes, yes, of course. You’re right, that isn’t us at all.” Mel brought him an iced black coffee since it was his usual, and she saw that he didn’t get the chance to order because he was immediately occupied by the sight of you. He softly thanked her with a smile, only taking his attention off of you for a split second before his eyes were right back on you; he didn’t know what this conversation would lead to, nor did he want to get his hopes up, so that meant spending every moment with his complete attention and eyes averted to you. “I miss you…” he said.
There was a sense of relief as you exhaled deeply, glad that he wasn’t the only one who was missing the other. His words had brought a flutter of butterflies to your stomach, soaring as they pleased while your face felt warm.
You and Harry had been together for a year and a half before calling it quits. For most of the relationship, it was happiness and bliss—occasional fights, but they weren’t frequent—towards the last few months however, things were getting a bit stressful. You remembered the days like it was yesterday as the vivid memory crept inside of your head...
It was nearing nine in the evening and the house was quiet. The silence was louder than the ongoing noise inside your head that was constantly yelling at you, making your head ache from the incessant thoughts. It was safe to say that you weren’t happy, and that even Harry wasn’t happy either. But you had only gotten a glimpse of him during the evening, so you were simply assuming that he wasn’t content—but it was a very logical assumption since every time he looked at you, it seemed like he was becoming more stressed out by the minute; as if he didn’t already have a lot on his plate during the day, and by night, he would still have to deal with whatever argument and fight either of you would pick for no apparent reason.
It started with petty little arguments, getting annoyed and frustrated at the other because of burnt toast or something as small as running out of detergent for the laundry. But fighting over nothing had turned into completely confessing that you weren’t happy anymore, and that the exhaustion had gotten to you.
“I-I don’t know if I can do this anymore, Harry,” you said in between your sobs that you tried to contain. “All we’re doing is hurting each other—we’re not even happy together anymore!”
It felt like his heart was exploding, but it was the truth. “Darling…”
“You can’t lie and tell me that we’re happy together because it’s obvious that we’re not.” You wiped the tears from your face, leaving your skin damp from the moisture.
Harry sighed deeply, knowing he couldn’t argue anymore. He felt defeated and upset with himself; it was like he was doing well in everything else or at least trying, and he couldn’t even do his part in being a good boyfriend to you. He knew part of the reason why both of you weren’t happy was because of the neglectance, and both of you were too exhausted to even communicate that feeling. You two were both independent entrepreneurs—always knowing when to close business and how to make a well deserved investment or sale with others who were trying to buy whatever stock or product. But when it came down to each other, to Y/N and Harry, it seemed like the individuals that were trying to please and charm others had dissipated, leaving no room or patience for each other.
“We’re both busy, Harry, I get that. And maybe it’s best if we call it quits until everything settles down—until we both know what we want—”
“I want you,” he interrupted.
You softly huffed, looking down at your lap as you slightly nodded before you looked up at him again. He had tears streaming down his face and more forming in his eyes; you loved that he wasn’t embarrassed or afraid to show his true emotions—he was being vulnerable every time he let his guard down, and for that, you would appreciate him forever.
Muffled, static cracks followed by quiet little groans were heard from the baby monitor on the coffee table. Harry glanced at it before looking back at you, knowing he had to take care of his number one priority, and who were you to stop him? So, you nodded, tilting your head towards the room, and he sadly smiled before heading towards the nursery.
You walked over to the kitchen counter, grabbed a pen and paper, and wrote ‘Meet me at Coava tomorrow. Usual time.’ before you placed it on the coffee table beside the monitor. As you were leaving, you heard soft humming coming from the baby monitor, and your heart squeezed, frowning as this was most likely going to be the last time you were going to be in this house. Taking one look around, you took in all of the memories that you made in the building that made you feel safe and warm before you stepped out, immediately welcomed by the cool temperatures of the evening.
The next afternoon when you walked into Coava, Harry was already sitting at the usual table you two sat at. His head was down, mindlessly wiping down the condensation that formed outside of his glass. You took a seat in front of him without saying a word, making him look up. He had dark circles around eyes as he hadn’t gotten much sleep.
“Hi,” you whispered. There was your usual cup of iced coffee placed in front of you. “Thank you for the coffee.”
He nodded and smiled softly, despite his current mood. “Hello.”
You took a deep breath. “So…where do we go from here?”
Harry sadly looked at you with desperation in his eyes that spoke, no, begged you to tell him to stay, to tell him that you two could and would work this out. But it seemed like you hadn’t received that specific message from his green and sorrowful eyes.
“You were right…We haven’t been able to make time for one another. So, we’ll just…take some time apart.” His heart and voice cracked at the end of his sentence, finding it hard to even form a sentence that didn’t absolutely break him. You nodded, agreeing, but it didn’t hurt any less; you knew this would be best for the two of you because both of you had to focus on yourselves, especially when Harry had his priorities, such as his family, which you weren’t going to make him change whatsoever. “Okay…so, we’re over.” He hadn’t said it as a question but rather a way to see that realization.
You reached across the table, placing your hand on his, and you were lucky that he didn’t pull away. “Harry, this doesn’t mean that I don’t love you. I…will always love you.”
“And I’ll always love you too,” he said honestly.
Behind the civil and mature conversation that occurred, there was sadness and heartbreak. There were no more smiles or laughs, no more love and affection, or anymore meet-ups during lunch or coffee dates during breaks. The painful look on Harry’s face had only pained you even more, but you both knew this split-up and time apart was for the best.
That was six months ago.
Now, as you sat across Harry, you felt an overwhelming rush of relief and joy; he just looked happier and you saw a familiar glint in his eyes as he looked at you. It may not be the same sparkle of love as it once was, which you were afraid it wasn’t, but there was still some kind of sparkle—the kind someone would give when they reunite with an old friend.
“The kids miss you—they miss you a lot.”
Your eyes look at him fondly at the mention of his children. “Really?”
“Yeah, they do. They said, and I quote, they miss their ‘pretty fairy second mom,’” Harry said quite proudly.
Harry had three kids that you absolutely adored. There was Mira and Estelle, seven-year-old twins that looked like their father. Mira was very energetic and talkative—that little girl could talk for hours on end without missing a beat; Estelle was more quiet and reserved, but once you started hanging around, she opened up and was quite fun to have a laugh with. Then there was the sweet little two-year-old boy, Rory, who resembled his mother. He was always babbling and giggling, so happy and free.
If Harry was being honest, Rory was a complete accident. Him and his ex had separated and broken up when the twins were four, but they were still seeing each other. Those occasional hangouts led to another child, which they both thought would help them bond, but six months into the pregnancy, they both knew it wasn’t right anymore—not like before. So, they stuck to coparenting and, if they were speaking the truth, it was much better than being together.
When Rory was six months old, that was when Harry met you. On an unexpected literal run in the park when you and Harry were on your daily runs, the trail was only narrow and small enough for one person to run. So, when you and Harry were running towards each other, you braced yourself for the awkwardness you were about to face with the man. Harry politely smiled, moving to his left, only for you to move to your right, which made you both giggle. The two of you then moved to the opposite side, only to clash again. The thought was quite hilarious to the two of you, so you both started laughing, clutching your stomachs. Once you two calmed down, Harry then said that he was going to his left, so you moved to your left, running the opposite directions from each other.
At the end of the trail and on your way to the parking lot, you saw Harry finish the same trail but exit from the other side. And if it said anything more, you parked right next to his car as well. Harry smiled, dimples flashing and asked you how your run was, which then led to a bit of small talk. In the six minutes you two were talking, Harry made the impulsive decision to ask you if you would like some coffee. He wouldn’t have asked if it were anyone else, and until that moment he didn’t even know  if he was ready to date again. But he took the chance and decided to ask you, and luckily, you said yes.
The rest was history.
“I miss them so much too.” You smiled softly, thinking about the kids that you had thought of as your own.
“I, uh, I know it’s too much to ask, but I figured I should ask either way…Would you like to see them? Mira would never live it down if I told them that I saw you and didn’t ask if you wanted to see them.” He added a chuckle at the end, nerves creeping up his skin.
Your eyes lit up. “Really? You’d let me see them?”
Harry raised his brows. “Yeah, of course! You could see them anytime you want, if you’d like. Just because we’re not, y’know, together doesn’t mean that you can’t see them. I know how much you love them and how much they love you too,” he reassured.
“Would Laurie be okay with that?” You asked about his ex and the mother of said children.
He nodded. “Yeah, she would. I mean, she also knows how much they love you.” Harry was lucky that the mother of his children and his ex was so kind and chill with having someone that Harry loved be ‘another mother’ to her children; all Laurie really asked of you was to not try and replace her role as their mom and to always keep them safe when she wasn’t around, and who were you to disrespect her wishes?
“Harry, I would love to, thank you. I really do miss them.” You felt yourself getting a bit emotional because of how much you missed the kids, and it’d felt like an eternity since you last saw them.
“Great! Tomorrow is the weekend, so are you free to go to the park and maybe get some ice cream after?”
“Yeah, that sounds like a plan.” You smiled, not too widely as you tried to contain your excitement.
Harry smiled back at you before quickly looking at his phone to check the time. “I gotta get back. But I’ll see you tomorrow and will text you the details tonight.”
“Okay, see you soon.” You stood up to hug him, and his arm immediately wrapped around your waist, hugging you to his chest. His stomach was doing flips as he felt your breath against the crook of his neck. He didn’t want the moment to end, and it was the most physical contact that you two had in six months.
Pulling away, he offered you a smile before bidding you goodbye, and you finally let out the breath you had been holding the moment the bell chimed and the man you still loved walked in.

A soft blush was planted on Harry’s cheeks for the entire day. He was driving from work to Laurie’s house to pick up his beloved children as he thought about how his day turned out to be.
In all honesty, he hadn’t expected to see you in the coffee shop that you two had gone to throughout the entirety of your relationship. He had just gotten out of a meeting and was debating on going to Coava because he hadn’t been there since the day you two called it quits, but he figured it was time and thought that maybe reminiscing on the memories you two had with each other wasn’t a bad thing. So, he walked into that shop thinking he was just going to get a coffee to-go, but he had gone in there and left with something so much better.
The moment his eyes landed on yours his mind had screamed and reassured him that he wasn’t just dreaming that you were standing right in front of him, he felt his stomach drop in the best way. The heat had rushed to his cheeks, tugging on the corners of his lips, urging his mouth to smile, and he did not hold back his joy when he saw you. You were beautiful, just like he remembered, but he had no doubt that there wasn’t a day that went by where you weren’t not absolutely stunning.
And the giddy feeling he felt when he asked you if you’d like to see the kids made his heart tumble inside of his chest as he couldn’t wait for you and the kids to finally see each other again.
Harry pulled into Laurie’s driveway, and he quickly got out and knocked on the door, waiting for Laurie to answer. He chuckled as he could practically hear the twins screaming from across the house to make sure they had everything they needed. When the door opened, he was met by his ex that he once loved, and still had some platonic love for her, naturally, as the mother of his children.
“Hey, Harry! They’re just getting their stuff ready,” she greeted with a smile, opening the door wider as she walked away from the entrance and let him in. She grabbed Rory from the couch, who was mindlessly playing with a giant puzzle piece, and gave him many kisses to his cheeks before saying goodbye to her son and handing him off to Harry.
Rory’s eyes lightened up at the sight of his father. “Dada!”
“Hi, my sweet boy. I’ve missed you.” He placed soft kisses to his chubby and squeezable cheeks.
“Girls, dad’s waiting!” Laurie called out from the bottom of the stairway before turning back towards Harry. “Why do you look like that?” She gave him a knowing look.
“Like what?” Harry asked, acting like he didn’t know what she was talking about. The blush really gave him away, he thought.
“You’re just…extra happy today.”
“Can’t I be happy, Laurie? To see my kids?” He teased, smirking as he hugged Rory to his chest.
“I mean, sure, but…did something happen today?”
His smile widened, and it was like he couldn’t contain the exciting feeling anymore and he just had to tell someone. “I saw Y/N today.”
Her brows raised. “Really? How is she?”
“She’s doing well, yeah. We talked for a little bit.” Was all that he told her.
“And I’m assuming it went well.” He nodded, not wanting to tell her more. “Well, that’s great, Harry. She was, is, a lovely woman and she took care of the kids, so that’s all that matters to me,” Laurie said genuinely; she wasn’t jealous, if she was being honest. All that mattered to her was that her kids were in good hands.
Suddenly more footsteps were coming down the stairs. “Dad!” The twins yelled at the same time. He put Rory down for a moment before he bent down to hug his two girls.
“Hi, my loves. How are you?” He kissed both of their cheeks, making their small arms hug him tighter.
“Dad, I scored one hundred percent on all my spelling tests, so I’m qualified for the spelling bee!” Mira explained excitedly once she let go of Harry.
“Really?! That’s amazing, bug. This week, I’ll help you study for it.” Mira beamed at that before walking over to her mom to say bye.
“How are you, my sunshine?” He directly asked Estelle, knowing that she was specifically waiting for Harry to have his attention on only her. Even though she’d never told him that, he could tell that sometimes Estelle lets Mira have her moment and wanted to speak with Harry when no one else was paying attention.
“I’m good. My teacher told me I could become a math…mathmat—daddy, what are they called?” She looked at Harry for help.
“Look at you, sunshine! I’m so proud of you my little mathematician.” Estelle’s eyes widened. “Is that you meant mathematician, sweetheart?” He smiled.
“Yes, that! I did good on my math test and even baked cookies for you!” Before Harry could say anything, Estelle ran off to the kitchen to grab the plate of cookies she baked last night.
“Alright, babies, let’s go. Say bye to mommy.” The kids said their goodbyes before Harry safely buckled them into their car seats and drove home for a week at their father’s.
When all four of them reached the front door, Harry told the twins to put their belongings away and wash up for dinner. He set Rory down in his high chair before cutting up some bananas in halves, and placing them on the plastic table in front of him for his pre-dinner snack. Knowing that his kids liked home cooked meals better than takeout, fortunately, he set out the ingredients to make some fried rice, which was quick and easy.
The twins rushed down the stairs once Harry put the leftover rice into the pan filled with sautéed veggies, and they settled onto the couch in front of the TV, waiting for dinner.
“Loves, set the table for me, please!” He called out from the kitchen as he transferred the rice from the pan to a large bowl, topping it with green onions. The girls each had a task for setting the table; Mira was in charge of forks and spoons, and Estelle handled the plates since she was less clums. He rolled Rory’s high chair over to the table, which he was so lucky to have gotten a high chair with wheels because it was so much easier to move him without carrying him and the chair; and he gave everyone an equal scoop, depending on how much they ate, and if they wanted seconds, he would be glad to serve them more.
As they ate, Harry was occasionally helping Rory eat the rice, just picking up the contents that didn’t make it into his mouth, as Estelle and Mira both took turns talking. Harry loved family dinner, he tried his very best to give all three of his children the attention that they deserved, but dinner was the one time they bonded the most because no one felt competitive or had the urge to start an argument when there was food in front of them.
“Daddy, how was your day?” Estelle asked curiously, and Harry smiled at his sunshine, as if she was the sun itself, heart swooning.
“It was great, thanks for asking, my love.” He placed his spoon on his plate. “I actually wanted to talk to you all about something.” The twins didn’t respond, just stared at him, encouraging him to continue. “Do you remember Y/N?” Just at the sound of your name, the crowd went absolutely wild.
“Y/N, yes!” Screamed Estelle, which was rare for her to raise her voice.
“Pretty, fairy second mom, of course we remember her, dad!” Mira exclaimed obviously.
“Fairy!” Rory had repeated the only word he could make out from Mira’s mouth as he fussed because of the volume that had increased from his sisters.
Harry laughed. “Alright, okay, settle down. Well, I saw her today.” The twins gasped, making him chuckle. It genuinely felt like he was on a talk show with a live audience. “And I wanted to ask you all if you wanted to see her tomorrow? Figured we could go to the park and get some ice cream together?” He asked hesitantly, even though he knew they’d say yes, and he’d get another chance to see you again.
“Yes!” The girls both answered.
Harry beamed, turning to Rory. “Bubba, remember Y/N? Your slide friend? Remember you used to go on the slide with Y/N?” Rory giggled, a sound that was Harry’s weakness, and nodded. “Do you wanna see her tomorrow?”
“Slide with fairy?” Rory asked, and Harry laughed.
“Yes, slide with fairy,” he confirmed, and Rory nodded his head eagerly.
Harry smiled, glad his kids were with the plans tomorrow. The rest of the dinner was filled with the twins talking about you; they talked about what you all could do together at the park and what they wanted to show you, and Harry would be lucky if they slept through the entire night without continuously waking up because of their excitement for the upcoming afternoon.
Once everything was cleaned up and put away, the twins washed and cleaned, Harry give Rory a bath, and everyone was ready for bed, Harry said good night to his babies, spending about five minutes cuddling and talking them to sleep until they fluttered their eyes closed and off to slumber.
Sighing, Harry closed his door, leaving the baby monitor from Rory’s room on his bedside table before he was able to unwind for the day. He always spent an extra amount of time on his skin care routine, figuring that he sometimes didn’t have time for himself and the only time he had was during nights.
When he was ready for bed, he felt a huge amount of relief to be getting into bed after a long but grateful day, and he picked up his phone and clicked on your message thread. The last time you two texted was a few weeks after the breakup, asking if you were doing okay, and he could practically feel the awkward tension through the texts as he reread them. But he was glad that this time would be a much lighter and better conversation.
Hi, Y/N. Hope this is the right number still. But if it is, kids are on board for tomorrow. Does 12:30 work for you? We could meet at the usual park. If it’s not Y/N, please don’t meet at the usual park because the kids are not on board.
You chuckled at the end of his text, happy to see that Harry is always trying to make jokes and be the comedian.
Hi, Harry! Don’t worry, this is Y/N. Probably would have hunted the person with my number down to get tomorrow’s plans. But that sounds perfect! I can't wait to see the kids tomorrow. See you then!
Harry softly smiled at his phone, not feeling the need to respond and figured he would talk to you a lot more tomorrow while the kids are playing. He stared at the message for quite some time, completely blank as he couldn’t believe the chances that he happened to see you at the shop six months after the breakup, and now he’s making plans with you tomorrow; his jaw was aching from smiling so much.
A few minutes later, he put his phone away to change before he comfortably situated himself under the blanket, feeling the heaviness of his eyes. But once he felt himself starting to drift away into dreamland, his phone buzzed on his nightstand, and he tried his best to ignore it, but curiosity got the best of him, so he picked up his phone and opened the new message.
And I can’t wait to see you tomorrow too.
And just like that, Harry was wide awake, struggling to sleep, but a smile permanently etched on his face for the night.
Tumblr media
The day that everyone in the Styles’ household had been waiting for had finally arrived. Luckily, the kids had gotten their needed hours of sleep; Harry had only gotten a few hours of sleep, but when the sun seeped through his curtains, he didn’t dread getting up for the day. Instead, he felt a rush of eagerness, instantly remembering what the day held for him and his kids, and he jumped right out of bed.
Once the four of them were out of the house, Harry had successfully fed, cleaned, and changed his children with no complaints. The house and car ride was filled with conversations about how excited they were to see you again, asking how many more hours there was until they got to see you and if they were almost at the park.
Screams bounced off the roof of the car once Harry parked on the side of the curb; the twins had already taken their seatbelts off, getting antsy as they waited for their dad to open the car from the outside. Harry unbuckled Rory, carrying him until he rounded on the other side of the car to open the door for the twins. They quickly jumped out, clearly excited, but Harry did not forget to remind them that this was still a public area and anything could happen.
“Girls, slow down, please.” Estelle was holding Harry’s hand as Mira was holding her sister’s; Harry was still carrying Rory in his arms because his sister’s were practically lugging Harry with all their might, trying to get to their usual spot, so he didn’t want Rory to get hurt. “Loves, you know Y/N would tell you the exact same thing. Please, just slow down for me.” He pulled the Y/N card on them, knowing that they were better listeners with you than they are with him.
Once they were all close enough, they spotted a thick beige blanket under the tree with a picnic basket, and you sitting on top of it, setting everything up.
“Y/N!” The girls both screamed, Estelle letting go of Harry’s hand as they both ran towards you.
You looked up at the sound of your name, eyes brightening at the little girls running. “My Princesses! Hi, my loves!” You opened your arms widely, inviting the twins into your arms— they practically collided into your arms, making you fall onto your back since you didn’t get the chance to stand up—and embracing them with a big hug. Laughs came out of all of your mouths as wide smiles permanently stayed on your faces. “Oh, I missed you two so much!” You kissed both of their cheeks, making them giggle. You stood up, helping the girls up and brushed their clothes off with your hand from the grass. Harry and Rory were in sight, and Harry put the little boy down, making Rory run towards you. “My sweetheart, oh, you’ve gotten so big.” You hugged Rory to your chest, placing your hand behind his head as your other arm wrapped around his small body.
You were glad that Rory still had some memory of you, and didn’t shy away behind his father’s leg. You placed soft kisses on his cheeks, taking in his baby scent that you always loved.
After Rory was starting to fuss in your arms, most likely due to feeling overwhelmed from the lack of space, you let go of him before standing up.
“Hi, Y/N,” Harry greeted, offering a hug, which you gladly took.
You rubbed his back. “Hi, Harry. I’m so glad I’m here with you all.” You pulled away, smiling at him. Harry’s heart pounded against his chest at the sight of you smiling up at him. His heart did a backflip at the sight of your gorgeous smile, trickling all the way down to his stomach where it triggered the butterflies to release from the net.
“Please, we were all really excited to see you. So, thank you for agreeing.” His hand innocently ran down your arm, sending shivers down your spine.
You turned around to look at the kids who were making themselves comfortable on the blanket. You and Harry joined them as you sat in between Estelle and Rory, and Harry sat in between Mira and Rory.
“Okay, so I made some sandwiches. You all still like grilled cheese, right?” You hoped, and the twins nodded; you turned towards Rory. “What about you, sweet pea? Grilled cheese?” At the sound of cheese, Rory nodded his head and clapped his hands, making you smile.
Harry was so lost in his mind and heart that he was simply so distracted in helping you out as you unwrapped the sandwiches from the foil, putting them on a paper plate. He was just so fond of watching you interact with his children so naturally, like there was no time that was wasted when you and Harry were apart. And he was especially happy that the kids still loved you just as much as they did when you two were together; and how they still kept talking about you despite the breakup.
Aside from you and Harry, the kids had taken the breakup the hardest. From the knowledge they had based on what Harry and Laurie told them, they understood that their mommy and daddy couldn’t be together anymore due to adult reasons; it took them a while to adjust to that, but they eventually managed and figured it was better and more fun. But when Harry had to break the news on why they wouldn’t be seeing their ‘Pretty Fairy Second Mom’ anymore, they took it harder than expected. They simply looked at it as you didn’t want to see them anymore, which wasn’t the case at all, Harry explained.
“Sometimes adults need to take some time apart, loves. That does not mean that Y/N doesn’t love you anymore because she does very much, I can tell you that. But it's good to have some time to yourself, especially in a relationship.”
“But daddy, I thought you were gonna be together forever with Y/N,” Estelle spoke up, tears in her eyes. He was lucky that his kids loved you so much, and he never doubted that they weren’t going to. But his fear had come true when you two called it quits and he had to tell them the truth.
“And maybe we will, but as for right now, it’s best to be apart. Sometimes being apart saves the relationship rather than letting it burn,” he told them honestly, which was the best as he could explain it.
“D-Does Y/N still love you?” Mira asked softly. It wasn’t like Mira to be so soft spoken, which meant that the breakup had affected her deeply.
Harry sighed, grabbing both of their small hands. “She does,” he replied for the sake of more tears coming out of their eyes—plus, he was taking your word for it back at the cafe. “And she also loves you all so much too,” he reminded them again. What he really wanted to say was that maybe one day you two will get back together, but he really didn’t want to get their hopes up.
Looking back on his conversation from half a year ago, he was glad that he told them the truth on why you two broke up. He didn’t want to confuse his children even further, making them completely oblivious to the situation—he just wanted to be honest with them because he hoped you two would meet again and get back together at some point.
“Harry, would you like one?” You asked, bringing Harry back out of his thoughts. He smiled, nodding, not trusting his voice to speak; and you gladly handed him a plate with a sandwich, pouring some chips onto the side—his favorite chips, you still remembered.
“Thank you.” He smiled softly. The corners of your lips turned up as you bashfully looked at the picnic basket in front of you. You placed Rory’s plate in front of him as he seemed to have crawled to sit closer to you, and you cut out his sandwich into small pieces, along with cutting his grapes in half. “Oh, you don’t have to do that.” He stopped you from what you were doing, ready to take Rory from your side as he didn’t want you to feel obligated to take care of him.
“Oh, if you don’t want me to, that’s fine. But I wouldn’t mind feeding him a bit.”
“If you want to.”
You gave him the sweetest grin, and Harry was lucky to be sitting down because his knees would give out on him if he were standing. “I want to.” He only nodded, a crimson color laid on his cheeks.
Harry comfortably watched as you made conversation with the twins as you fed Rory. You always gave them your undivided attention; your expression always lit up everytime they talked about something they were passionate about or interested in, and it just made Harry fall even more with how you were always so supportive in what his kids loved. You were always uplifting them, never dragging their hopes and dreams down.
After everyone was finished with their meals and had time to digest their food, the twins asked if they could go on the swings and Harry said yes. The tree that they were under was only a few feet away, so Harry had a clear view of his girls.
“You’re, like, a magician.” Harry suddenly said, breaking the silence once the girls were safely on the swing.
You chuckled. “How’s that?”
“It’s like hiring a magician at a party—everyone is so excited to see what they do and see them in general—you’re like that; the girls and Rory were so excited to see you.”
You playfully gasped, holding Rory to your chest. “You were excited to see me? Well, I was excited to see you!” You booped his nose, making Rory giggle.
“Fairy!” He exclaimed, and you and Harry laughed. Rory was a quiet two-year-old, but he picked up on keywords that he repeatedly said.
“So, are you seeing anyone?” You cut to the chase, skipping the small talk.
Harry chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “Nope. Not entirely sure if anyone wants to date a thirty-four-year-old with three kids.”
You raised your brows in shock, and he knew that look you’re giving him very well—prepared to tease him; even though you weren’t that much younger than him either. “What? Do you think no one wants to date a hot dad? Harry, you’re peak-dilf, everyone wants to date you.”
“And what about you? Do you wanna date me? A dilf?” He teased; a smirk that you knew all too well appeared on his face, making you want to kiss it off, which was what you used to do.
Pursing your lips and cheeks heating up, you gave him an obvious look before you said, “Think you know the answer to that one, baby.” In all honesty, the pet name had slipped, and for a brief moment your eyes widened at the realization, but you brushed it off and continued with your confident and teasing attitude; and it worked quite well on Harry because he definitely heard what you used to call him loud and clear. It made his heart flutter as he missed you calling him that; he never wanted to hear that name come out of anyone else’s mouth because only yours would do it justice.
Harry was left to ponder about your response before you changed the subject, talking to Rory. “Sweets, do you wanna go on the slide?” The little boy jumped up and down, pulling your arm as he had a big smile on his face. You looked at Harry, and he gave you a nod, telling you that he would stay put and watch your belongings.
You and Rory walked hand in hand, or more like hand and finger, to the slide. It was an open purple slide with two sides, and it lasted about two seconds if you slid correctly and if the slide was slippery enough. You helped Rory step onto the playground as the dull metal steps were quite high for him to reach on his own before you guided him towards the slide.
Sitting down at the top and on the edge of the slide, you carried Rory into your lap, hyping him up for what he had been waiting for. “Ready, sweets? Are you ready?” Your tone was pure excitement as you squeezed and tickled his belly.
“Go, Y/N, go!” Directed Rory, and you scooted forward and held onto the sweet boy in your arms tightly as you two slid down the slide. Mouthfuls of squealing screams and giggles came from Rory’s mouth as he clapped his hands towards the end of the slide, causing you to cheer as well.
And the proper dad that he was, Harry clicked the red button on the screen to stop recording you and Rory from the slide. He zoomed in, capturing the bright smiles placed on his sweet boy’s and the love of his life’s face, screenshotting the perfect frame. He didn’t think the day could have gone any better than this; it was quite the perfect day, he thought.
When it was rounding two in the afternoon, Rory’s eyes were starting to droop, exhaustion taking over him from running around for almost an hour that his little body couldn’t keep up, so a nap was in his favor. He lazily looked up at you, reaching his arms up for you to carry him, which you happily held him. He settled his head on your shoulder, and it only took a few kisses and back rubs for him to be out like a light while the sun still shined in his face.
You walked over to the blanket, figuring it was time to call it a day at the park; Harry and the twins were running around nearby on the bedded grass area playing tag. They retreated to the blanket once they saw you with Rory in your arms, breaths heavy from their run.
“Oh, my sweet, sweet boy.” Harry sighed when he got to spot under the tree; you handed Rory to him, admiring the two boys cuddling as Harry pressed quiet and soft kisses to his son’s head. Since your lap was available, Estelle and Mira took the chance to finally be able to properly cuddle you since Rory was taking most of your attention. The girls took one leg each, and you wrapped your arms around their waist, kissing their shoulder.
The five of you stayed put for a while, calming down under the breezy weather that had started to pick up until it got even colder was when Harry decided it was time to leave. Luckily the girls were still awake to help with cleaning up, and were rather helpful because Harry was trying his best with Rory situated on one side of his body.
Once all of you were next to your cars, Harry placed Rory in his car seat as you were hugging the girls goodbye. You and Harry agreed that everyone was too tired to go out for some ice cream since all the twins wanted to do was lie down. Harry knew he didn’t want the day to end, even though it was still quite early, but the older he got, the tougher it was to keep up with his little children who just loved running around; a relaxing and peaceful night was calling him.
“Hey.” Harry closed the passenger door before he rounded the car to meet you on the grass. “I know we talked about going for ice cream today, but it seemed like we’re all too tired, but I was wondering…” he paused for a moment, a bit of hesitancy in his voice. “Would you like to come over? Maybe…for dinner, or to have a glass or w-water?” He scratched the back of his neck, nerves getting the best of him.
You smiled, thinking he was the absolute cutest when he was flustered. “Harry, I’d love to. Feels like I haven’t drank any water so I’m parched,” you teased.
He breathed out a laugh. “Okay, uh, I’ll see you home.” He gave you another smile before walking away and inside of his car, completely unaware of his choice of words.
Home. More specifically, Harry’s home. It was a place that made you feel safe, and if you’re being honest, it’s been too long since you’d had complete solace.
Your mental pep-talk throughout the drive toward Harry’s had helped in some way. Keeping it simple without driving your mind into overthinking every single thought, you laid it all down as if you were planning and preparing a business proposal.
You didn’t want to dive deep into what Harry’s invitation could entail—more like you didn’t want to get your hopes up on if you two were to get back together because the potential rejection you could face would absolutely crush you. Harry’s a kind and sweet guy, he’s simply inviting a friend over for a drink and dinner, if you could even call yourself that. Plus, it was still early to fully call it a day, and he planned for ice cream after the park, so he was fulfilling that promise of sweet dessert.
Without realizing, you’d been sitting in your car for a solid five minutes, staring over your steering wheel as you were parked on the curb in front of Harry’s house. Harry’s car was already in the driveway, so they were just waiting on you.
You walked towards the front door, and it swung open before you even got the chance to knock.
“Hey, thought you’d change your mind when you weren’t getting out of the car,” Harry joked, although that thought really crossed his mind when he peeked out through the window and saw you still in your car.
You chuckled nervously. “Oh, no. I wouldn’t.” You stepped inside his house, and a wave of nostalgia rushed through you as if you were at the beach and the harsh current knocked you over as you were trying to walk against the sandy wind.
Everything still looked the same—the same since the night you left without another word to the kids, just a note to Harry telling you to meet at the shop. A pinch of guilt appeared in your face as you frowned, and Harry immediately took notice, but you waved it off as you slightly smiled, telling him that you two would talk later. He didn’t press any further, waiting until later or when you were ready. Instead, he asked if you wanted anything to drink, to which he already knew you’d go for a class of Cabernet, and luckily, he had some in stock—more like, he still had the untouched bottle for when you stayed over.
The two of you leaned against the cold granite counter as music softly played on the speaker that was connected through Bluetooth on his phone. Conversations were light, but it wasn’t awkward in any sense. As a matter of fact, it felt just like old times when you would stay over his house, talking about each other’s day and simply enjoying the presence of one another. That’s what you think this was, you thought—enjoying the fact that Harry was in front of you after so many months and you were cherishing it until the next set of months went by.
After a few conversations and sips of wine later, the time had gone by fairly fast, which always happened when you were with him, and it was nearing five. The kids had woken up from their nap at four and quietly settled in the living room—the twins on the couch in front of the television and Rory was on the padded mat playing with his toys, occasionally talking to his sisters. Harry asked if you would be okay watching them so he could make dinner, and you were close to reminding him that he didn’t need to ask to watch his kids, but then again, you had to remind yourself that things were a bit different now. So, you said that you didn’t mind and walked over to the sofa chair next to the couch and watched TV with the girls as well as play with Rory.
Twenty-five minutes had gone by and Harry called everyone, announcing that dinner was ready. You all walked into the dining room, taking your seats. Your assigned seat was next to Rory’s chair, which was in between you and Harry; the girls were sitting across from you. Once everyone took several bites of Harry’s dinner--a quick fettuccine alfredo--the chatter was back. You enthusiastically listened to the girls and Rory talk; it made Harry smile, loving how natural everything felt.
Estelle tapped Harry’s shoulder, making him turn towards her with a smile on his face. “What is it, sunshine?” She got off her chair, leaning over to whisper something into his ear and he smiled, turning back to his family who was curious as to what Estelle had said. “Go ahead and ask her, love.”
You put down your fork and placed your arms on the table. “What’s up, Princess?”
“Uh, c-can we go to that place?”
“What place is that?” You asked curiously.
“That place where you told Daddy you loved him,” she responded quite bashfully. Your mouth was slightly open, not expecting her to say what she did. Looking over at Harry, he simply had a soft smile on his face with his brows raised, shrugging his shoulders.
Did you want to go back there? The answer was a simple yes. There wasn’t any excuse that you could possibly make up on the spot as to why you couldn’t go there, and it wasn’t necessarily a bad place whenever you thought about it. In fact, you really missed going over there and you would be lying if you said that you didn’t think about that place often.
Your head turned towards Estelle. “Sure, why not. How about we go tomorrow?” You asked everyone, and they all had smiles on their faces. You looked at Harry, directly asking him for permission. “Is that okay?” His elbow was resting against the arm of the brown chair, fingers placed under his lips as he slightly puckered his soft and pink lips; without looking under the table, you knew his legs were crossed. Harry smiled, nodding his head, and everyone cheered.
The rest of the time everyone was sitting at the dinner table, you all talked about plans for tomorrow, and everyone was really excited. Once it was almost eight, Harry realized that it was almost their bedtime, so he hurried them up the stairs to get ready for bed before saying goodnight to you, getting in as many hugs and kisses as they could get.
Harry was upstairs, changing Rory and putting him to bed before he walked down and found you in the kitchen washing dishes. He slipped past you, placing his hand along your lower back briefly before he grabbed the dish rag. The action sent a chill down your spine and you immediately missed his hands on you.
“The kids seem really excited about tomorrow.” Harry broke the silence, glancing over at you as you continued to wash the dishes.
You nodded. “Yeah, I’m really excited too.”
Harry noticed the slight shortness, and he thought it may be because you were tired. “Hey, are you okay?”
You turned off the water and faced him, crossing your arms as he did the same.
“Do the kids hate me?” The corner of his lips turned up before he started laughing, clutching his stomach. If it were any other time, you would obsess over his laugh; it was music to your ears, the highlight of your day, and the sun when it’s bright out. You softly slapped his arm. “Harry! I’m being serious!”
“Darling, you’re joking, right?” Your heart briefly fluttered at his nickname for you. “Those kids love you!” He noticed your change of attitude and that you’d been thinking about this for a while and beating yourself up over it.
“It’s just…I don’t want them to think that we broke up and I forgot about them. I mean I understand if they see it that way because I left without saying another word for six months--didn’t even get to say goodbye to them and have a proper talk. I just don’t want them to hate me.” You looked down at your feet as you played with the thin silver band on your middle finger.
Harry’s seen you in work mode, and it reeks confidence and power. You don’t need much reassurance during work unless it’s when your employees tell you that progress is moving along. But this was completely different; you needed all the reassurance that you could get to get it through your head that the kids that you’d come to love--from the moment you met them--don’t hate you. And Harry didn’t mind telling you over and over again.
“They were just that we split up, that’s all. But they quickly understood why.”
“What’d you tell them?” You asked curiously.
“The truth--that sometimes it’s better to be apart for a while rather than drive ourselves crazy. Told them that when the time is right, then maybe we’ll get back together.” The look in his eyes was so comforting that you immediately fell into them. Harry was always the best with giving you that extra reassurance that you and his kids need.
You felt the extra beat in your chest that pumped so harshly against your chest, but it was surrounded by butterflies, making it flutter throughout your body. As you looked so deeply into Harry’s beautiful green eyes, you realized one of two things; the first thing was that you never wanted to look so deeply into another person’s eyes unless it was Harry’s; and the second thing was that you were incredibly and overwhelmingly still in love with this man and his three children, and there hadn’t been a day that gone by where you weren’t.
Taking a deep breath, itches were crawling up your skin, begging you to say something. “D-Do you think it’s time?” Your voice asked shyly.
Harry was taken back by your question as he raised his brows. He couldn’t deny the nerves that he felt whenever he was around you, but your question seemed to have increased his nervousness.
“We’ve been separated for what feels like a long time now.” He paused, taking a deep breath as he recouped his thoughts to say the right words. “I think-”
“Daddy?” Yours and Harry’s head whipped towards the staircase, finding Estelle at the bottom of it with groggy eyes.
Harry walked towards his sunshine. “What is it, my love?” He kneeled down onto the bottom step, matching her height. Estelle told him that she couldn’t sleep, and that she’s been tossing and turning for a while, so Harry told her that he would lay with her until she fell asleep and carried her to her bedroom. He looked back at you as he was walking up the steps, and you gave him a soft smile, letting him know that it was completely okay.
You finished tidying up the kitchen, wiping down the counters and cleaning the dining table until you realized that you needed to get ready for tomorrow’s adventure.
Once Harry came down the stairs, he found you sitting on the edge of the armchair with your purse on your shoulder; you looked up as he walked up to you.
“I’m gonna head out.”
Harry’s slightly frowned. “Oh, you can stay the night if you want to.”
“No, it’s okay, thanks.” You really did want to stay the night, but you didn’t have a change of clothes for tomorrow. “I’ll be here tomorrow morning.” He nodded, walking you to the door, opening it for you.
You stepped out on his doorstep, turning around as you wrapped your arm around his waist, tiptoeing to plant a kiss to his cheek. The slightest bit of touch from your lips sent Harry’s skin on fire, warming up to the affection. The touch was sent away too quickly as you let go of him completely, giving him one last smile before walking to your car and waving at him as you drove away.
Harry closed the door, the palm of his hand cupped the cheek that you kissed and he sighed as if he was shot with Cupid’s love-arrow, and he wouldn’t mind it if it meant he would feel your affection every single day.

You arrived at the Styles household at ten in the morning with a tote-full of snacks and water, knowing the kids would get hungry from all the walking. You got there forty-five minutes earlier than planned, knowing that the Styles family wouldn’t be out the door right on time because Harry has three kids, two of them who bicker and complain from time to time—especially when they’re sleepy—and a two-year-old who was starting to run away from everything. So, you figured Harry would appreciate your help.
When Harry saw you standing on his doorstep, he let out a sigh of relief. He was still in his striped pajamas pants and a white t-shirt, holding a small pair of olive green pants. You walked in and saw Rory running around half naked, despite it being early in the morning. You told Harry that he could shower and get ready for the day, and to leave it to you because you’ll handle it—plus, you both knew that the kids often listened to you more than their own dad. He smiled appreciatively, kissing your head briefly before walking up the stairs and getting ready.
Once Rory saw you, he stopped running around the house and instead, ran towards you and into your arms. You carried him up the stairs and to his room to get some clothes on him, and luckily, Harry was able to bathe him before you showed up. You gave him his favorite toy to fumble with before you walked into Mira's room, setting Rory on her twin bed before helping her get ready. You left Rory in Mira’s room and went to Estelle’s bedroom, doing the same.
By the time Harry walked downstairs, you and the three kids were sitting on the couch, eating a banana. He smiled, slowing his steps as he was amazed at the quietness and stillness in the house, but then again, he wasn’t that amazed because he knew you’d come in and get things in order.
Harry’s home was a two minute walk to the train station, and everyone decided to take the train since it was what you and Harry did when you two were dating, and the kids really wanted to walk through the entire path of their father’s love story.
Luckily, there weren’t that many people on the train—it was practically empty—so they didn’t have to rush to get a spot for the kids. Rory sat in the middle of his sisters as they all smiled brightly towards Harry’s phone that was capturing the adorable children for a sweet memory sake. You and Harry were standing, making sure neither of the kids fell over if the train made a halting stop. You held onto the metal bar above you, Harry held the bar that was mounted into the floor, and you both watched the kids interact with one another—counting on their fingers, booping one another’s noses, and laughing; it was every parent’s dream.
Without noticing, Harry moved closer to you, placing his hand directly next to yours; the side of your hand touched his, and you looked at him with wide eyes while your heart fluttered. You were hip to hip, and you saw the smirk he had on his face while occasionally glancing over at you. You couldn’t help the heat that rose onto your cheeks because it felt like old times when you two used to ride the train together and it would get too packed to where you had to stand up; he would always face you as your hands touched—sometimes he would even intertwine your fingers together while you two held the bar as you were one—and he would hover over you, giving you plentiful kisses like the true romantic that he was.
The train ride took about 30 minutes and it was a two minute walk to the place that gave you so many happy memories and nostalgia—International Rose Test Garden was where the memories of you and Harry were stored.
You had the girls on either side of you, holding their hands; and Harry carried Rory since he was likely to run around and Harry didn’t want to risk his safety.
The sun was bright—beautiful for a day in the garden as the roses and flowers bloomed ever so widely. All of you walked the rows and rows of flowers, occasionally taking pictures in front of the rose bushes.
Remembering all the times you and Harry were hand in hand, laughing until your stomachs were sore, like you did an intense ab workout, and there were tears resting in the outer corner of your eyes. All the memories that were swirling around in your head made you come to the conclusion to one thing: you never want to be without Harry and his kids ever again.
You don’t know how it took you so long to realize this, maybe it was seeing them for the first time in six months that you realized that you had it great—a small family that accepted you and loved you for who you were, and you loved them just the same.
Harry walked beside you, the kids skipping and playing around in the grass in front of you two. Confidently, you slipped your hand into Harry’s ringed hand, immediately intertwining your fingers together as if your hand knew what it was missing. Harry briefly looked down before looking at you. He smiled, and turned his head back towards the kids, not making a big deal of it as his warm hand accepted the coldness of yours.
You gently tugged against his arm, pulling him back as he came face to face with you; a quiet gasp came out of his mouth when doing so. You looked up at him with bright eyes, and Harry was taken back to a year and a half ago where you, coincidentally, were in this same spot on the very green patch of grass.
“Harry…” you breathed out, looking down at your feet nervously. He made the bold move to step closer to you, chests almost touching. Harry lifted your chin up with his fingers, locking eyes with you so intently that you practically lost your breath.
“What is it?” He whispered.
Taking a deep breath, you said, “I-I realized something.”
“Yeah? What’s that?”
Glancing over at the kids, they were giving you big smiles and thumbs up for reassurance, and your heart swooned at their support and love they provided you to finally get back together with their father, even if you weren’t their biological mother.
You looked back at Harry, who was waiting patiently. “I love you. I still do and never stopped.” Harry felt like he stopped breathing at that moment. “You make me so happy—you and the kids, and I don’t want to be without you all anymore. I-I don’t like how it’s only taken me this much time to tell you this, but it felt like the perfect time since this was the place where I first told you I loved you.”
Harry smiled, taking your hands into his. His thumbs smoothed your skin on the back of your hand before he brought them up to his lips and kissed them so delicately. The action made you smile softly before your mind had switched it to thinking that it was affection before the rejection.
But then he opened his mouth to speak such beautiful words that you had been aching to hear during the breakup.
“You’re my everything. I truly don’t know what I’d do without you because you. You’re part of my source of happiness, and life didn’t feel the same without you—the kids could agree with me on that.” He chuckled, looking at them to find them holding hands and jumping around in circles. “But I know that we separated for the better only for us to come back stronger than ever, and I’m never gonna let go of you again, okay?”
Tears pricked your eyes before they streamed down your cheeks. Your heart felt like it was pounding harder than ever, but it was filled with so much love from and for this man in front of you.
Harry wiped away your tears, leaning in to kiss your forehead, down to your eyelids as he kissed your tears away. He pulled away and you opened your eyes, giving each other a relieved and happy smile.
“I love you,” he said, and he swore he saw the brightest smile he’s ever seen—brighter than the sun. “Always have and always will.”
“And I love you. C-Can you kiss me, please?”
Harry grinned. “It would be an honor.”
Placing his palms on the side of your face, he leaned his forehead against yours. Your hands were wrapped around his wrists, rubbing his skin softly. With a smile, he kissed you with such softness and passion that the flowers bloomed largely and the sun shined ever so brightly. The kids cheered and clapped, making bystanders think that you’d just gotten engaged, but you both knew that would be the next step. Your stomach was in knots, butterflies surrounding your body as he captured your lips with his. Hugging Harry’s waist, you pulled him closer and wrapped your arms around him, and he kissed you harder, effortlessly moving his lips in sync with yours as if he was a pro on kissing you, which he was.
Harry pulled away first, giving you several pecks before opening his eyes. “God, I missed doing that. Missed you so much, darling.”
“I missed you too, baby.” You were high on happiness, high on love. “I’m sorry it took us this long.” A slight frown appeared on your face, but Harry kissed it away.
“Hey, hey. None of that. I would’ve loved you until the end of time. I don’t care how long it took, you’re my forever,” he vowed, not planning to break that promise.
Missing his lips on yours, you leaned up to kiss him again while your arms were wrapped around his neck and his were around your waist, holding you tightly as if he was afraid you’d run off.
Suddenly, you started giggling into the kiss, making Harry smile before he pulled away.
“What’s so funny?” He asked. You started thinking about the conversation from the park when you asked him if he was seeing someone.
You curled in your lips before you said, “You’re a literal dilf, and I’m so in love with you.”

Ted Lasso 2x10 thoughts
GOOD GOD.
“No Weddings and a Funeral” is like being hungover but also coming out of a hangover. Having a terrible cold but also feeling better and appreciating every breath that comes through your nose. Embarking on an organizational project and accidentally falling into a photo album and crying about the pictures and organizing almost nothing tangible but making a few things more clear in your brain.
So much of this episode is about the AWFUL POINTLESSNESS OF DECORUM. How loud is too loud when you’re drinking stolen wine and shrieking about sex in a church right before your father’s funeral? How should you feel--thirty years later, as an accommodating, anger-averse person--about having been too angry to attend the funeral for your father who killed himself? What expression should you make when you show up really late to a different funeral? Why must you wear uncomfortable shoes just because someone died? What happens in your mind between standing up to give a eulogy for a man you’re still angry with and choosing to Rick Roll your mom and everyone else as an act of complicated love, humiliatingly incomplete until someone else starts to sing? Should you worry about your therapist seeing your normally tidy flat in a full-on state of depression mess? Is it okay to be offended that your boyfriend is so uncomfortable about death that he can’t stop making morbid jokes? Should you care about other people caring that you’re crunching an apple in church or squealing with joy to be reunited with a friend you’ve not seen in awhile? Are you obligated to explain your behavior if your kid doesn’t understand how you could stay with someone unfaithful? How far behind the counter should you sink when your [undefined relationship person]’s mother has just let you know she can see your dick through your underwear? Is a funeral reception an okay place to find a hookup? Is a funeral reception a decent spot for a break-up? Is a funeral reception a good time for a love confession when you know the person you’re confessing to is happy with someone else? And who do you make eye contact with when you can’t look directly at the person asking you if you’re okay when there’s so, so much about you she doesn’t know yet? Even if--for this tiny little moment within a vast swath of many okay and not-okay moments--you’re honest when you tell her that you are?
I fucking adored this episode because it answers all these questions very simply: Show up. Show up for yourself. Show up for your friends. Try not to harm yourself. Try not to harm your friends.
I love that this episode is about the messiness of adulthood and the things we bring with us from childhood and that it takes place partially in Rebecca’s childhood bedroom, and in Ted’s childhood memories. Dwelling in those places (whether physically or mentally) isn’t an automatic recipe for regression, but it does get everyone closer to the things that made them who they are, to the unresolved and half-buried parts of them that still make them tick today.
Forever obsessed with every single detail about Rebecca’s childhood bedroom.
Forever obsessed with Deborah’s decision to Rick Roll herself every single morning of her life.
Forever obsessed with Rebecca’s decision to Rick Roll her father’s funeral as a way to not have to make up a single word about her father and to do something very vulnerable and kind for herself and her mother and everyone.
Forever obsessed with Ted’s decision to Rick Roll Rebecca Rick Rolling her father’s funeral.
Forever obsessed with an entire found family backing it up.
I love that it is Isaac’s leadership that ensures every single member of the team attends the service for Paul.
I am very, very interested in Jamie’s love confession to Keeley because I do think it will spark some reflection in Keeley but I do not think it’ll go the cliched love triangle route.
Each scene with Rebecca and Sam struck (for me, a human being sharing a subjective perspective on the internet) the tender-awkward-beautiful-stressful chord I was hoping it would. I think it’s wonderful that Sam is honest with Rebecca about how difficult it is to keep their relationship a secret, and I love that Rebecca has a million mostly-unarticulated reasons for why she’d much prefer the secret to continue. I like that Sassy, Keeley, and Nora respond to the revelation as friends; they might be tempering their judgments in part because they’ve all gathered to bury Rebecca’s dad, but I don’t think their reactions would’ve been that different even on a happier occasion.
While there are a million and one different reasons why a continued relationship between Rebecca and Sam could cause serious ethical problems, I really love that when people share big news on this show, the people who care about them generally react by trying to see why the person is doing what they’re doing. Doesn’t mean they shouldn’t also hold each other accountable, but in my book it’s OK that Keeley’s first reaction was to feel happy that her friend is having some fun.
Also everyone has been making weird judgment calls this season, and this episode felt like a moment of real breakthroughs in terms of people telling the truth about things that happened to them and leaving themselves open to honest responses from others.
September 13, 1991. It’s so tenderly, beautifully, overwhelmingly meaningful that there’s still so much Ted and Rebecca don’t know about the things they have in common in these parallel lives they’re leading. The scene between Sarah Niles and Jason Sudeikis is so beautifully acted, and so is the scene between Hannah Waddingham and Harriet Walter. The way they intertwine to communicate that Ted and Rebecca basically lost the ability to trust their fathers simultaneously, from an ocean away? In the hands of lesser storytellers, it would feel too perfect a mirroring, but here it feels heartbreakingly imperfect. All the things they still don’t know. All the questions they try to ask each other. All the things they don’t dare ask yet. And then the storytellers are holding a candle up to all of it and letting the audience bask in the glow of this connection even if Ted and Rebecca can’t fully understand it yet.
I am so proud that Rebecca and Deborah were able to embark on the beginnings of a conversation about the ways Deborah and Paul’s relationship might have resembled or not resembled Rebecca and Rupert’s. It feels possible that they could get to a point where Rebecca truly internalizes her mother’s pride that she broke a cycle by leaving Rupert, and could maybe even understand why her mother made the choices she made. I love that in the final scene, they’re still relying on their old mother-daughter conversational patterns—the frustrations, the snippy shorthand, the passive-aggression. Mothers and daughters!
I am also proud that Ted—albeit via a joke about Sharon charging him for the house call—indicates that he understands the value of Sharon’s work. He’s changed a lot, all in realistic ways for someone who loves learning and really does want to meet people where they are and appreciate them. I’m very moved that instead of putting himself in a real harmful situation by showing up to the funeral on time at any cost, he did what he needed to do to take care of himself and accept care from someone else. And then Sharon’s suggestion that he think about things he loved about his father? And the way he’s able to share a positive memory of Rebecca’s own father at a time when she really needed it? Gosh.
Awkward, undecorous transition from 1991 to present-day incoming...but SASSY! She’s just, like, a whirling dervish of loyal friendship and not giving a fuck and penis size discussions and being casually, delightfully cruel to Rupert, who so deserves it. Rebecca was going on a real face journey when Sassy goes off with Ted at the end, and I’m sort of *eyes emoji* about all of that, but I continue to feel like Sassy is the most imperfectly wonderful friend-from-the-past kind of person and I love everything she and Nora get to do in this episode.
Keeley saying “That baby is whack” might be my favorite line in the episode? Maybe the whole show? Not really but really.
FUCK YOU, RUPERT. Bex and Diane, y’all are fine. And I truly feel for Nate...whatever scheme he’s getting suckered into. Whatever insecurity Rupert is preying on. I want Nate to go to therapy, too.
I feel like it was an unpopular opinion at the time, but I loved Rebecca’s 2x1 revelation about vulnerability and fear of getting hurt and needing to let someone love her. Sassy doesn’t always word things in the most nuanced way, but I think there’s a real possibility that she did ask Rebecca to really consider what it means to feel either safe or unsafe with a person but to know that in either circumstance, that person could end up causing her pain. Standing in that closet with Sam, managing to make it clear that she’s not asking for a break because she knows he will hurt her but because she has to figure out how to be with a wonderful person who could cause her pain...the growth, man. Makes me emotional.
I emerged from this episode feeling, of course, stunned by all the amazing parallels and revelations and beautiful acting and Rick Rolls and just, everything. I also emerged feeling sad/raw/tender because messiness and decorum and growth and coping mechanisms and death and dramatic irony and not knowing things about people and not knowing what you don’t know...it’s a sad, raw, tender place to be.
To quote a guy who got a whole sitcom (lol) named after him, life is real hard.
