I just realized that Tifa's the only one with both mommy and daddy issues in FF7.

Cloud, Aerith and Sephiroth all have mommy issue.

Rufus has daddy issue.

Zack is the only one with healthy living parents.

series of events this morning:

cat wakes up at 6am and starts rampaging around the room he's stuck in. he's still a new cat to our house so we are still acclimating him to the house by keeping him mostly in one room.

that room happens to be my bedroom, where i sleep.

text from roommate, whose room is next to mine: should i take the boy for a while?

me: has sound turned off on my phone, doesn't notice the text until 8am when i finally get up.

roommate then admits that when she got up to take him without permission, the other cat strolled out of her room like "heyyyy."

fran goes out to the main room so we closed off the bedrooms to let pepper roam and get out some of his energy.

we decide to introduce the two cats, now that pepper has been here for a week. his shelter cold is mostly gone now so chances are, he's not contagious anymore.

we open the door. fran looks respectfully, very wary, but no growls or hisses or anything. great!

pepper runs FULL SPEED at her when he sees her. why

fran fluffs up and starts growling, obviously. like, what are you doing, baby cat. what. he does, to his credit, stop in his tracks when he hears her.

we reseparate the cats.

conclusion: our son may be stupid.

i JUST finished watched ff7 advent children (the full movie is available on youtube yall) and my god what an emotional rollercoaster.

sephiroth is menacing. i haven’t even played ff7 yet the moment his theme started playing i just had a super bad fight or flight instinct. “tell me what you cherish. allow me to have the honor of destroying” what an evil line, absolute chills. i don’t even remember the last time a villain scared me this bad.

i feel bad for the three remnants, even though they’re sephiroth’s pieces, they feel like children in their own way. and especially kadaj with the way he always goes “mother”, what a way to tug at my heartstrings man.

loving the character redesigns and weapon designs. reminds me so much of early 3 seasons RWBY weapon designs’ ‘everything can be a gun’ thing. yazoo’s sword/gun, loz’s punching glove that can electrocute, kadaj’s double bladed sword, the detachable swords of cloud and the way he keeps them in his motorbike. and yes, it did reawaken my love for motorbikes.

vincent is NOT beating the vampire allegations, rufus gagged me when he stood up, felt bad for reno and rude. poor guys were getting thrown around the whole movie lol
