TW: car crash, trauma, spinal cord injury (implied)
A can't help but stare at the impact of the other car into the ditch ahead of them -- the same ditch it had run them off the road into. They tear their eyes away. They need to focus on what's going on in their own car. At least they'd landed the right way up. They look over at B in the passenger seat. Their eyes are clenched shut, every single muscle in their body tensed. Even getting in a car usually has them hyperventilating ever since the wreck they'd survived a few years back.
"B? Injured?" No response. Not unexpected. "I'm coming 'round to your side okay?" Groaning slightly at the painful movement, A extricates themself from the totalled vehicle. Nothing life- or limb-threatening but there are sure going to be some nasty bruises in a day or two. Navigating their way around, they pry open the passenger side door, "B. I know you're terrified. But I need you to answer me. Are you injured?"
It takes a while but B eventually finds a shaky voice, "A- A...? I don't think I can feel my legs.

Astrology community is filled with people who have this superiority complex, like "people focus too much on money and future spouse, look how mature I AM, I focus on other, more important things😔", I agree that being obsessed with them is wrong, but it's okay if some observations give a sense of comfort and security to people as long as they realise that their own efforts matter just as much. Also, the unemployment rate is increasing, the rent for a 1 bhk is + 1,000€, groceries have become expensive AS FUCK, what else do you want people to talk about if not money, stupid dipshits. If reading about "indicators of being rich in astrology" makes people happy, then LET THEM BE HAPPY, WHO CARES 😭😭

The way Annabeth was thinking so far ahead of Percy that Percy was confused. The way she refused to elaborate on anything, and then was like; 'I'm surrounded by idiots' whenever someone (Percy) didn't understand her. The way she looked so smug after she pushed Percy into the water and he got claimed. THE WAY SHE WAS SO BLUNT!!!!! ("ARE YOU STALKING ME??" "yeah lol")
Sorry, but that's the most accurate Annabeth in the world holy smokes Leah did such a good job. All my forgotten love for Annabeth's character that I felt while reading the books just crashed into me full force and I'm frothing at the mouth with obsession.
“-You’re gonna expect me to know how to do something I don’t know how to do, and I end up falling flat on my face, I- I can’t really have that right now.” “You still don’t get where you fit into all of this, do you?” SHE’S TALKING ABOUT THE PROPHECY AND HOW SHE KNOWS HE'S A POSIEDON KID, BUT SHE HIDES IT AS HOW HE DOESN’T KNOW HIS PLACE IN THE CAPTURE THE FLAG GAME!!!! BECAUSE SHE WON’T TELL HIM!!!! AND ITS EPIC BECAUSE IN THE CAPTURE THE FLAG GAME HE DOES FALL FLAT ON HIS FACE, BUT IN THE PROPHECY HE DOES GET HIS DAD TO SEE HIM!!!! And then she fixes his armor plate, making sure that its secure. Making sure he won't get hurt. That's not part of her plan, and things always go according to her plan. She's the game master. IM SCREAMING

if you're wondering what the big deal is about the louis-philippe sentence in les misérables, it is, in the original french, 760 words long. the subject of the sentence doesn't appear until 95% of the way through, at word #711; the main verb is word #712. the sentence contains 91 commas and 49 semicolons and is almost entirely a list of laudatory adjectival phrases describing the erstwhile king of france. this is perhaps especially notable because les mis is, shall we say, not known for being particularly gung-ho about the monarchy.
this sentence copied and pasted into Word takes up more than one page single-spaced. in the 1800-page folio classique edition, it is fully two and a half of those 1800 pages. that means that les mis is 0.14% this single sentence. more of les mis is made up of this sentence than earth's atmosphere is made up of carbon dioxide (0.04%). if the page count of les mis stayed the same but every sentence was the length of this one, les mis would consist of only 720 sentences total.
incidentally, guess who named hugo a peer of france 17 years before the publication of les mis?

As much as it hurts that Blitz wasn't able to save Stolas himself in Western Energy, it was the wake up call he needed to understand Stolas isn't as invulnerable as he thought. In other words, that Stolas is someone he can literally lose, not just emotionally, but also physically.
And it will make him go extra hard the next time Stolas' is in danger... which the trailer loved teasing us with. Blitz will be his real knight in shining armor, no more pretend!
I will never shut up about this scene, just try and stop me.

What it is about kind male video game companions that male gamers absolutely HATE?
I've seen it happen with Dragon Age's Alistair, Mass Effect's Kaidan, and even lowkey KOTOR's Carth Onasi (emphasis on kind, not necessarily nice, cause dude had a bit of an attitude in the beginnning). Now I'm seeing it with Gale of Waterdeep from Baldur's Gate 3.
Men hate him! Admittedly, many women seem to also hate Gale (Though from what I'm observing, it seems to be because his romance is bugged in a way that doesn't recognize when you've rejected him, so to many it comes off as not taking no for an answer -- but that's the fault of the game, not the character). The other reason I'm seeing from women is that he supposedly doesn't respect boundaries, citing his relationship with Mystra, but... were yall listening to him at all?
1. This goddess took interest in him as a *child* prodigy, became his mentor, and then his lover??? That's sus as hell.
2. It's not like he and Mystra had personal boundaries set specifically for their relationship, and he decided to cross them, it was that Mystra has general magical limitations for magic users in general, and Gale thought he would be an exception because she treated him as special, and because his reasons for pushing his magical limitations were to restore a part of her she'd lost. I've also seen people say he downplays that as a simple mistake made in his youth, but from the actual conversation with him, it's very clear he regrets that so?? I don't get it. (maybe I'm misremembering or missing more of the story, I'm only at the beginning of Act 2)
But this post is a reaction-rant to seeing too many male creators on tiktok hate on Gale so badly it's becoming obnoxious. And their reasons are so weak, yet fuel hatred so strong. They just find him so annoying, and I guess to each their own, but I don't get why, and I don't get why men always seem to find those kinds of emotionally available, kind for the sake of being kind, male characters annoying.
