I desperately want Arthur to encounter a c*ltist who's genuinely showered with their deity's love. Someone talking about their God with burning devotion, adoring them, preaching their word to people who have hit bedrock. Someone extending a hand to Arthur himself.

I want their God not demanding human sacrifice. I want their blessings to be true. I want Arthur to feel conflicted, to desperately try to seek out something that makes it immoral and wrong.

I want that someone to be unnervingly blessed, unnaturally happy. I want their words to get to Arthur's very soul. I want doubt. I want temptation. I want their manic joy to drive Arthur mad.

Whores are literally never referenced again (except as a callback to that line, which happens the very same episode). John nor Yellow nor the King ever make reference to any other hypothetical whores or slutshaming in any regard. The Entity just decided to be a bitch like that. It’s like a preteen who learned precisely one swear and is trying to shock you by saying it as loudly and as clearly as possible to get a reaction out of you. Who taught him those words. Where is his mother.
