Finding Batboy
First| Previous | Next
Phantom
King
Fenton
Apprentice
Batboy
He just wanted to be Danny. Just Danny, nothing else.
But who was Danny anymore?
Danny was a 14-year-old boy who died in a tragic accident. Danny had a decent life with friends and a sister who he loved. Danny wanted to be an astronaut and loved the stars. Danny had an astrology phase that made him so annoying to everyone but Sam. Danny liked dogs and cats hated him for no reason no matter how much he loved them. Danny wanted to join the robotics club with Tucker. Danny still snuck into his sister's room when he was scared to sleep in her bed.
But Danny is dead. Danny has been dead for years now.
He missed being Danny.
Now he was Phantom.
No past.
No home.
No family.
But if that was true, what did that make Dick?
Just another person that he would have to leave behind. It wouldn't be long. History doesn't repeat but it rhymes. It can't last. It won't.
Danny flew to some abandoned factory located somewhere in Gotham. He hadn't really paid much attention. He just needed a desolate place to land. Somewhere even the ghosts have long abandoned.
Truthfully Danny didn't want to be alone. A part of him felt the urge to find that revenant that he had met. Something that felt familiar to him, someone that could understand.
But right now Danny wanted to rest and he wasn't picky about where. He wrapped his wings in a tight cocoon and plopped on the ground. His sleep was deep, more than he ever remembered having before, except once.
Danny walked through the halls of a spiraling tower that overlooked the Ghost Zone. The tower was decorated with stars and moons. Mist hovered just above the floor creating a icy blue carpet. Ghost sheep napped in corners. The scent of poppy and pine filled the air.
As Danny ascended to the top he met with a familiar face. Nocturne the ghost of dreams. The ghost's thick bridged nose reminded Danny of that of a sheep that matched his curled ramhorns. His red eyes with horizontal pupils reminded him of a demonic ram he had seen in a horror movie once. Danny could practically hear that line again: "Would thou like to live deliciously?"
It still gave Danny chills.
"Please refrain from making such comparisons." Nocturne said, his voice deep but soft at the same time.
Danny had gotten to know Nocturne some time ago. Apparently, he and Clockwork were close. They shared a high rank among ghosts as they were abstract manifestations rather then being that were once living like some. The hierarchy of ghosts was complex, and Nocturne was not someone to look down on.
"Nox, why am I here?" Danny said standing before the seven-foot frame of the amorphous ghost.
"You are spending too much time in the material realm. If you don't get time back in the realm to which you belong you'll go mad. It's already starting to happen. I stole your mind away for a bit to give you a mental break but your body is already starting to break down." Nocturne said waving a finger at him.
"My body and brain are fine Nox." Danny said crossing his arms.
Nocturne picked the boy up with one hand and held him at eye level.
"You are having trouble shifting are you not? Its not coming as easily as it should. The more attached you get to a form without the energy from our world to break it up the worse it will be. The Ghost of Time has already told me of the problem. You must stay here for the time being and recover. It is what's best. Mental weakness is the worst one can suffer and the remedy is sleep." Nocturne's breath smelled like warm milk and cinnamon. It calmed Danny's nerves and made his eyes heavy.
Clockwork had put him up to this. That old man...really was....annoying....Zzzz.
Back in the world of the living and awake mass panic has broken out.
Batboy is currently missing and Nightwing is not handling it well. The entirety of the Gotham Vigilantes team has been notified and is searching the cities of Gotham and Bludhaven.
"Have you searched the docks?" Nightwing asked frantically as he searched every rooftop in the city.
"I'm working on it. Do you really think he's here?" Red Robin said scanning every unit on the lot.
Red Hood didn't know what the BatBoy kid looked like other than the whole wings thing. If his little buddy Phantom could help it would help.
Although they had a slight resemblance Jason could see too many differences when looking at the pictures. Phantom had round ears, and silver hair that moved like fire and looked like a human. Batboy had long sharp ears, claws, pointy teeth, blueish-green skin, wings, and a white fluff around his neck. Clearly, they were different.
Batman searched the dark allies of Gotham as Signal and Orphan split up to cover as much ground as possible. Oracle searched every camera from the past few hours for the boy.
The good news was that Batboy was found. The bad news was who found him.
"Poor little Bluebird lost his fledgling and Batsy is looking for the lost pup. I should let them know that the little guy has been found! Ahahahaha!"

Vincent’s lingering obsession with Lucrecia is excellent drama, but their story is not a doomed romance.
This is an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think Lucrecia deserves nearly as much pity and excusing of her actions as she gets. This is not character-hate post, it's an analysis of a character I think gets short shrift as a Mother-Mary in a bell jar, and deserves better.
Lucrecia is morally grey. Charcoal grey. I love complex, morally grey characters, particularly when they're women, since usually women are relegated to roles that infantilize and objectify them, particularly in video games, which have historically been a very backward, androcentric medium. I strongly dislike brainless victims, subject to the whims of the male characters, without much agency, and Lucrecia was not such a character.
Lucrecia was an adult with agency and brains. She was a grown ass adult. She was a brilliant scientist. She made decisions with her eyes open, and even sacrificed her unborn child to her work. She is a very interesting character. The fact that she didn't idolize motherhood as the end-all of female existence, and that her obsession with her work was stronger than her desire to be a 'good mother' makes her far more interesting than otherwise. The fact that she regretted it later and wanted him back doesn’t magically make her a good person, or change the choices she made. It demonstrates guilt and remorse, which are part of character development. The bottom line is that she committed atrocities in the name of science, then felt guilty about it later, once she realized how devastating the consequences were to her personally. To say she didn’t know what she was doing or Hojo manipulated or controlled her is to infantilize and disrespect her character. She’s not some sacrificial angel who was a victim of circumstances; she was a willing participant in her own downfall.
Lucrecia is a tragic character, but she's not a romantic lead. Except in Vincent's head. After all was said and done, she had one of those too-late changes of heart that make tragedy so emotionally impactful. She had a human reaction to Vincent's death and felt terribly guilty for her role in all of it, as she should. That doesn't mean she loved him, it means she wasn't a monster. She lost her son, and gradually, Hojo's callous inhumanity and her inability to escape the net she wove with her own hands closed in on her. Did she deserve to never hold her baby son and never see him even once? No. But she caused it, with her own actions. That's tragedy. She was miserable, bereft, and riddled with guilt, so she made a last-ditch effort to make something right...by doing more insane science shit that turned Vincent into a monster. Seeing that she'd only made everything worse, she tried to kill herself, but was unable to, and thus ran off to become a crystal statue in a cave (this is a trope that I dislike, but that's the story, so that's what we've got).
Vincent is a bad judge of the circumstances. Vincent persists in seeing her as a lost love, and someone from whom he was unjustly separated by circumstances. The fact that he is so blinded by his feelings for her that he places her on this pedestal and can't blame her for what she did is excellent characterization, and I love it, but it's because he’s wrong. He loved her. She didn’t love him (I think she was in love with his father, but that's just icing on the tragedy cake, at this point). His lingering attachment, not to the real Lucrecia, but to the idealized version of her he has in his mind, is a very sad reality that adds so much delicious pain to his character. In the end, he is unable to blame her, because he loved his image of her (and Hojo is a way easier target for anger, because he's literally the worst), which speaks far more to his personal bias in the situation than to her actual role in it. She’s not moustache-twirlingly evil like Hojo but she’s not Vincent's star cross'd soul mate tragically torn away by cruel fate. Lucrecia was her own person.
In summation. Their story is not a doomed romance, it's a complicated, messy, ugly tangle of thorns, and one of the best written tragedies in a game that literally bleeds tragedy from every orifice. It's got one-sided love, obsession, mad science, betrayal, jealousy, fetal experimentation, murder, corpse reanimation, and a guy who can't die, and is left to deal with the consequences of everyone else's actions by himself forever. No one is innocent and no one comes out unscathed…strike that. Vincent is innocent and Hojo comes out unscathed. But still. Lucrecia is not a holy mother, she's not a brainless victim, and she's not Vincent's lost love. She's a person he loved, and who didn't reciprocate. Most importantly, she's a person. A whole-ass, complex, morally grey, fully developed person, who made terrible choices, then made even worse choices, and in the end, couldn't escape the fate she wove for herself.
And then wound up encased in crystal so she could be a pretty statue forever cause the game devs just couldn't help themselves I guess.

『01』 呪術廻戦: jujutsu kaisen recs
五条悟: gojo satoru
i know you still think about the times we had by @saetoru
satoru will always comes when you call him, he just never thought you’d stop calling. notes: satoru is so desperate and pathetic here it is just delicious; has the right amount of angst to cause tension but a good ending to soothe my poor heart; traditional rich boy and disapproving mother/father scenario but implemented relatively well; miscommunication and feelings of inadequacy; reader realizing the extent to which satoru loves them
pretty eyes by @quirklessidiot
in which the right eye is mine and the left eye is yours and when we meet for the first time, you see your own eyes staring back at you. notes: takes tragic star-crossed lovers to a whole new level; riddled with parallels and symbolism; idea of illness and loving someone at their worst; right person, wrong time at its finest; fate being unnecessarily cruel; surprising moments of humor
minazuki by @quirklessidiot
In which Y/N L/N is placed under a union she has no choice but to partake for the sake of her survival. notes: this series needs to be scientifically studied; it is just that good; halfway in and i fell in love with the reader instead of gojo; strong and somewhat morally grey characters; dark themes around femininity in a patriarchal society but concept was executed flawlessly
21: only by @tenjiiku
“What do you want, Satoru?” You do not use his last name or any honorific to address him despite his age. He was older than you by a few years — but certainly did not act the part — so you do not think he deserves your respect. Your host father told you he does — something about his being from a prominent private school as an educator, which you cannot possibly fathom being the truth — but only in front of you is Satoru Gojo an inane, odd man with a need for clean, dry-cleaned clothes that, for some strange reason he has conjectured in his equally baffling mind, that only you can provide. He smiles at you, placing his cheek in his hand. “You.” notes: this fic embodies the duality between gojo and satoru; he is easy-going until he isn’t and you realize he actually has a considerable amount of depth; the plot twist did it for me; satoru being a loud-mouthed tease but secretly harboring feelings
soulswap by @orphxus (impxria)
this is where the evening splits in half, love or death. grab an end, pull hard, & make a wish. notes: short but realistically describes everything wrong with jujutsu society; poetic voice; gojo being serious for once; disillusionment and tragic hero archetype; being the strongest yet being unable to save anybody; geto would read this fic and feel seen
両面宿儺: ryomen sukuna
nocuous by @quirklessidiot
“It’s ironic, isn’t it? I knew how this was going to end but I’m still terribly hurt by it.” notes: the heian era setting is so complex and established even through dialogue and subtle description; reader strikes me as older and able to deal with sukuna’s chaotic nature; sukuna being an absolute menace is sending me; tragic angst but almost didn’t notice it due to how beautifully the images are presented
avīci by @rotpeach
Several years ago, Satoru Gojo was involved in the exorcism of a uniquely stubborn curse. The official report states that one of Ryomen Sukuna's fingers was recovered from the scene, and nothing else. Only the two of you know the truth. notes: gore, gore, and even more gore; boy was this fic a wild ride; imagine a work that condenses the ugliest and most revolting parts of human nature yet presents them so elegantly you start questioning the blurred lines of morality; cannibalism, violence, and love triangles; japanese mythology & folklore; heian period references; cursed spirit reader tries to grapple with the idea of self after being created for the sole purpose of serving others; themes of existentialism, identity crisis, obsession

𝓈𝓎𝓃𝑜𝓅𝓈𝒾𝓈: When Kamukura doesn't do his due diligence of fucking you himself, you take matters into your own hands– by humping his foot.
warnings: 18+ mdni, smut, fem!reader, cold!kamukura, slight dom/sub undertones, dubcon, heel humping, desperation, pleading, implied orgasm, reader uses the tip of his shoe to get off, kamukura's mean and unforgiving, small mention of abuse (reader got dr3 despair arc ep 6 mukuro treatment once or twice).
a/n: god you gave me a sense to write more of my kamukoma fic cuz of this, i absolutely adore writing the complexities of kamukura. wc: 600ish. v-day m.list | m.list
thirst count: 1
divider credit: @hitobaby & @firefly-graphics
“But, Kamukura…” You tried, the ache between your legs pulsing up your spine and you nearly fell to your knees as he denied you…again.
“I said no.”
You grabbed a hold of his leg as he walked up the stairs, his long hair cascading down his back as he turned to look at you. His targeted red eyes bore into the back of your skull, you thought as you gave him a pout. “Please, Izu– I’ll be good, I promise.”
“Y/N.” He was as stoic as ever, not an ounce of remorse seeping through his demeanor as he looked at you, your thighs clasped together as you tried to stop him from going up the stairs. Instead, he dragged you by his ankle up them and into the room. You didn’t dare let go of his leg as he sat down in the plush red chair that sat near the edge of the window curtain.
“Please fuck me… I’ll do you right, I swear.” You whined out as he crossed his one leg over the other and you couldn’t help but sit on the one that was level to the floor. You knew if he wanted, he could pin you down in an instant, away from him but for some reason he didn’t so much as lift a finger. He ignored you though and you couldn’t help yourself any longer– you needed him, you needed your Ultimate Hope.
You slid your panties over to the side and pressed your bare cunt to the cold material of his shoe, your senses tingling with ecstasy and a twinge of guilt. It hovered up your spine and you started to grind against it, the tip of his shoe digging into the swell of your clit and you muffled a moan with the back of your hand as slick trailed down the black shine of it. You hoped he didn’t notice, but why would you even think that? Of course, he noticed; the man was nearly a deity in your eyes and in the world of tragic despair– also he could feel your hips rocking against his person, you weren’t very subtle.
“Getting off on my shoe? How pathetic.” Kamukura said, a slight tease evading his tone but it was mostly snuffed by sheer irritation– honestly you couldn’t tell as you shoved his shoe harder against your cunt with a whimper, trying hard not to touch him besides his foot. Your arms stretched back to accommodate your balance and you thrusted up against his shoe as it came up further, the entire underside of it plastered against your heat now. You peered up at him and he had his arms crossed, with a lean to one side as you pleasured yourself against the heel of his foot.
His foot covered you whole and all you wanted to do was grab at his ankle and push further into the delicious pleasure that snaked through your veins, but you knew he wouldn’t let you touch him again– not when you’ve already disobeyed him on the staircase. He wasn’t that lenient usually, you’ve gotten thrown against the wall a few times due to your incompetence and it made you quiver against him, the power– his power that he held within his hands ready to dismiss you anytime he wished. Your orgasm approached as you felt a slight pressure from his leg and your eyes snapped open quickly, not even realizing you had slipped them shut.
Was he actually enjoying this…? You glanced up at him with clouded eyes, every nerve bundling up into your orgasm and threatening to burst as his slack eyes stared back at you with usual boredom.
“K-Kamukura…please.”
“Go ahead, do what you want.”

I have to go to work but first I have to say something to else about that movie. The reason Lucille’s tragedy works SO well in the end is that she was offered an escape & she doesn’t take it & her reasons make so much sense but it’s still so sad.
The movie kinda had a moment for me when Lucille says “you promised you’d never fall in love with someone else” & Thomas responds “& yet it happened anyway” where I thought - oh. How disappointing. I still would’ve enjoyed the movie if it was left at that but it would’ve been so much shallower & Thomas at that point would’ve lost any & all remaining sympathy from me.
To murder & plot & manipulate against innocent people - against a precocious & clever & likable protagonist like Edith Cushing who has lost SO much already & only ever wanted to be Seen - to commit heinous murders against people who genuinely Did Not deserve it - that all becomes sympathetic & tragic if not excusable when you realize it’s for love. “The only love Thomas & I ever knew was from each other in these rotting walls, hiding.”
Thomas & Lucille only ever knew violent rotting desperate love - of course they did horrific things to protect each other, to stay together. It’s awful but it’s sympathetic & tragic. It’s all they ever knew.
If Thomas simply turned on Lucille after ALL that after murdering their OWN CHILD & other women that we can presume deserved it no more than Edith - the ONLY thing that redeems him is that it’s all over love for Lucille & now he’s betraying her? And for what? He lied to Edith’s face time & again & gaslit her about being poisoned. He held her as she sobbed over her father’s corpse when he was part of his death! For me that was the end of any possible sympathy I might’ve had for Thomas which puts a significant damper on the emotional complexity of a movie about toxic love & entanglements if one of the central characters has lost ALL my investment.
But then….. then Thomas offers Lucille an out & you see that he’s only trying to escape the rotting walls of Crimson Peak & his trauma & he wants to offer it to her too & it’s too late & we all know it - I think even Thomas knows it - but he’d rather die trying than give up.
“We could all be together.”
“All?”
Thomas must know that it’s too late for that if it ever was an option (I don’t think so) & Lucille’s horrified reaction says it all. That was never a real option but he has to try.
Edith would never consider it & Lucille certainly wouldn’t. But Thomas tries. He offers Lucile the ONLY chance at redemption & a happier future he can see & she rejects it & if it weren’t for that the movie might feel senselessly cruel toward Lucille to me in a way that leaves behind a bitter taste but instead - because of that offer & the subsequent violent rejection - I think the tragedy is absolutely delicious.
In the words of Edith Cushing - “Ghosts are just metaphors for the past.”
And Crimson Peak is the tragic story of a family that could never & will never escape the past & the fact that that’s a choice - that the option to at least try to escape was always there - is crucial to making that impactful. The emotional crux of a well written tragedy will always be this tiny horrible inkling of an idea that maybe it didn’t have to be that way. But of course it did.

why you should read Mystic Prince if you enjoyed ORV
Mystic Prince / Prince of Myolyeong (묘령의 황자) is a fantasy and action-adventure manhwa with art & story by Aheuredal (아흐레달) and in my humble opinion, an absolute hidden gem. it's literally one the best manhwas i've ever read (among the top 2) and i've finally gathered my thoughts enough to try to articulate why i love it so much, and hopefully convince you to give it a chance!
here's the official summary on webtoon:
An immortal emperor rules the Kingdom of Yeol, a divine country blessed by gods with awesome powers. After a thousand years of peaceful rule, the time has come for a new emperor to be chosen. This is determined by a series of trials, in which twenty princes with special powers who have trained since birth must compete. As all princes of varying personalities and agendas gather to partake in the trials, intrigue and possibly even bloodshed seem all but certain. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the other princes, the Fourth Prince Jeok-yeon Ryu hides a secret he must guard with his life.
anyway i literally made a carrd for this, that's how much i care about this manhwa and i worked very hard on it!! you can find the carrd here*
(* also if you hate daily pass like me pls note that there's a fan translation as well! just keep in mind that some episodes have ost but you can find the links to youtube on the carrd as well. but if you enjoy it please do try to leave likes, comments, and a good rating on webtoon to support the creator!)
Mystic Prince is incredibly unique in terms of story and execution that i can't really compare it to anything else but here's why i think you'll enjoy it, especially if you also liked orv:
strong-willed MC who's not naturally skilled but works extremely hard
said MC is willing to suffer and hurt themselves to achieve their goals (aka kim dokja-esque tendencies)
seemingly cold and aloof ML with yoo joonghyuk vibes at first, naturally gifted and seems to look down on everyone
...but is actually head over heels for MC and just doesn't know how to express his feelings
ensemble cast of incredibly complex and well-developed characters with different personalities and motivations
MC seems a little dense at times but they have a tragic backstory that explains why they're Like That
incredibly bisexual vibes !! like literally off the charts
slowburn romance that is cooking up such a great meal
MC and ML have actually known each other for centuries
characters go through trials that involve risking death
extremely unique lore and world-building
i said ML before but there are actually multiple potential MLs with how much complexity all the character dynamics have
beautiful character designs (literally over 10+ within the main cast and they're all so unique)
evocative writing and heartfelt monologues that seem taken out of a book of pure poetry
narratively significant motifs of fire and water (à la orv's black/white and reader/protagonist)
profound and realistic depiction of the inner feelings and troubles that the characters go through
incredibly heart-wrenching original soundtrack! (actually made me cry)
some of the most gorgeous art i've seen in any manhwa (seriously pls just open the 1st episode and look at the first few panels)
[spoilers below for chapter ~10]
delicious gender fuckery
MC is actually cross-dressing afab (i personally hc them as genderqueer; korean doesn't have gendered pronouns but the official tl uses she/her pronouns)
bonus: they're built like a fucking tank (as seen here) like hello??? which is so refreshing to see for an afab MC
plus they're also canonically lacking in empathy but still deeply compassionate which again is really refreshing
i'm sure there's even more stuff i'm forgetting but these are just some reasons off the top of my head why i think this manhwa is so amazing
please do give Mystic Prince a chance, it's an absolute delight!! there are multiple beautiful covers but here's a couple of them, BE ART BAITED <3
and finally some of my personal reactions to Mystic Prince and also a note regarding the content warnings under the cut!
feel free to skip this part lol but personally when i look for recs, i love when people tell me their emotional reactions and how passionate they are about it! so if this tells you anything,
this is the ONLY manhwa to have made me cry so far (yes that includes the orv webtoon, but not the novel ofc) like actually ugly sobbing with snot and tears and everything lmao
(it's not all sad though! this manhwa will have you clutching your heart one moment and then cackling out loud the next)
and it's also the ONLY manhwa i've ever spent actual money on before the fan tl picked it up just so i could read the advanced chapters (i'm notoriously cheap so this says a lot imo)
and i'm not alone in this, every other comment on webtoon is people saying the exact same thing. the general consensus is that this is 100% a hidden gem (webtoon DP my behated why'd you have to shoot yourself in the foot like that)
also regarding the content warnings on the carrd: this was my first time making a list of cws (i don't think anyone else has made one yet?) and i was a little hesitant to add them, so i sincerely apologize if i missed anything!! if anyone else has anything else to add (cws or otherwise) then please feel free to send me a message and i'll be happy to edit it!!
(btw this was inspired by this post which is also a great summary for why u should read a cnovel called mist unlimited)

Humans Are Space Orcs and Transformers (some ideas)
Okay, a few posts on the topic "humans are space orcs and transformers" inspired me to expand this topic. Maybe some ideas from one of my reblogs will repeat, but what can I do.
The canon of transformers in all works has extremely belittled humans for an obvious reason — the central theme is cool robots, and people are templates for the viewer's projection (or budget savings, because it will be easier to draw / model people, so you can save on reducing the number of frames with robots).
But if we move away from this and look towards the realistic relationship between humanity and Cybertronians, then we could come up with a bunch of interesting situations that few of the creators have thought of.
For example, transformers consider humans weak and pathetic because we are small and organic. Yes, realistic for a first impression. But why don't people treat them the same when they first meet? We humans are very sensitive to technology, because we know that even an industrial robot can fail, because the more complex the technology, the more variables that can break. Just look at the reaction of the owner of the car, if it was even slightly pushed by something (if there was no person inside, of course). Where are the people who start panicking at every fight, where is the human who is on the verge of a heart attack looking for the number of the nearest car service station after hearing that their Cybertronian friend fell into the lake? Eventually we would have realized that transformers are tougher, but the initial reaction would have been like this.
Although, why wouldn't Earth be a dangerous place? After all, water getting inside the transformer frame, stones and sand getting stuck in the welds of the transformation, cold and frozen water could be a huge constant problem, since this is a non-standard environment for their kind. But this is usually skipped, although it could be a plot reason for friendship with people who could help with this, since they are familiar with similar problems with their equipment. Yes, in some continuities it rains acid on Cybertron and all that, but this does not make the Earth some kind of paradise in comparison.
Why is there not a single moment where a hyperactive person tries to find some softer place on a bet, a wire or an energy line, for example, and bite? People like to mess around like that, especially friends. And how much Cybertronians can be surprised by their friend's phrase about wanting to eat them because of tender feelings (it won't help if they find out about the case of the plane being eaten).
Where is this here: — Energon is delicious, right? — For us, yes, but you can't. — ... — No, this is fatal poisoning for your kind! — I'LL DIE TRYING, JENNY, GEORGIE, WHERE'S THE CAMERA?!
Where is the test drive of all the possibilities of your metal friend? — And then you jump and transform around me! — I'm afraid you'll be crushed. — Okay, let's try with the dummy first.
Why has everyone forgotten Astoria's legacy and is no longer trying to inter-species romance? Where are the strange courtship on the part of humans, such as going to a premium car wash, trying to synthesize delicious energon for a date, incredible rage against someone who somehow offended a love interest? In the end, it's also a great ground for tragic stories, people don't live long, and Cybertronians are constantly putting themselves in danger. And longing after a moment of attachment in time is just as sad as a human's attempt to somehow preserve the memory of a seemingly immortal and invincible friend, which there is no one else to keep, and this, too, will not last long.
Humans are described mostly as useless friends who, for the convenience of the plot, are usually taken hostage or simply useless in this war as a species.
And it's just surprising. Humans. Useless. In the war. Humans who fought before they took a stick and a stone in their hand and from that moment improved weapons, skills and techniques of conflict management. Humans whose military demands move science to the same extent as industrial ones. And we wouldn't have found a way to fight alien robots? The first question that the military would ask scientists is how to break through Cybertronian armor and at what temperature it melts (and don't ask where they will take samples). Having suffered in the early stages, we would have regrouped and thought about what to do next. People are small, so they will fight back much more fiercely if they are cornered by someone big. This is quite common among animals, so it would be a natural thing among humans. To set traps using our specific landscape, to drive the enemy there with the help of energon, which can be poisoned, even if they take it away, they will still get hit. It didn't work out to fight with our weapons — we will improve, it didn't work out too — we will steal their weapons. Open war is not an option? You can fight a guerrilla war.
And it's not worth saying what a real nightmare we can do if the government delays recognizing the extension of humane treatment laws to Decepticons. If this law is often violated in conventional wars, then it's scary to imagine if it will be abolished here in relation to the enemy at all. And if researchers with a scientific interest get involved in this... History has a huge number of examples of what our curiosity is capable of. — And then, later, we realized how to turn off their pain receptors! — Yes, but it wasn't necessary anymore.
Allow a mad scientist to make a mecha suit out of a dead Decepticon and send the most reckless soldier to the battlefield. Not as the most effective combat unit, but as a intimidation and demonstration of what we can do with your dead brothers in arms. I have no doubt that someone would have thought of it (well, I thought of it...). Adaptivity, ingenuity, quick learning, desperation and recklessness — this is the main weapons of humanity.
And who said that transformers will necessarily be effective in war? The fact that they have been fighting for millions of years does not mean that they are doing it successfully, just the opposite (Even your vaunted IDW shows some kind of sucks instead of logical fighting). In the end, they have soldiers and units of military equipment are the same thing, in which case both are lost. In addition, if humans can retrain soldiers and transfer them to other duties, then you will not force those who transform into a tank to replace the seekers when there is a shortage. Moreover, in most continuities, in principle, Cybertronians have difficulties with reproducing numbers, because it's cool to get adult fighters and members of society at once, but when this process depends in most cases on your planet, which is most often a little dead, or some artefacts, then scores with humans begin to be compared. With certain difficulties and with the expenditure of time, but humanity can reproduce itself independently in theory wherever there are suitable conditions for the life of our species. Probably winning option could be a superweapon to blow up the entire planet at once, then yes, it's successful.
Well, just go to any forum ala "Why mechs from anime sucks!" and there will be an essay for a thousand pages about the fact that such a humanoid form is ineffective in war with a whole list of methods for breaking these things (hit the joints and the head — the very first rule).
Oh, you can say, "But in IDW, people were doing something there!". No. The humans there were mostly exposed as idiots, who, as it turned out, acted according to the plans of the Decepticons. Humans weren't even allowed to be evil on their own! They can be shown as good and evil, your favorite gray morality (which never really existed in IDW), but there is no this, just another stick in the Atobot wheel from the Decepticons.
It's just that sometimes I want to tell the authors of works on this franchise to decide not to include humans at all or, since they had to bring in their participation, AT LEAST TRY TO WRITE A STORY LOGICALLY. I understand that many authors are stuck in some kind of teenage "humans are not cool!", especially those who are responsible for the plot of comics, but this does not justify laziness in terms of the plot with people. Even if you were forced, well, at least try to do the job well and efficiently, and do not turn everything into some kind of fan fiction with crushing "stupid and pathetic flesh". It hasn't been entertaining anyone for a long time.
I'm not asking to include humans in every story, but maybe it's possible to try something new for them at least once in more than 30 years of franchise history? Humans are boring just because the authors don't want and don't know how to work with them, that's all.

I appreciate the focus on Amy's unrequited love for Sonic in the Idol!Amy AU. I live for that delicious angst. I love how tragically you portray it. You don't write Sonic as a jerk for not reciprocating Amy's feelings; he has valid personal reasons for it, and that adds a lot of depth. It makes my heart hurt even more for Amy because of how complex the situation is while not making me outright hate Sonic. She cares deeply for Sonic, not on a superficial level, but on a deep, emotional, personal level. He was both her hero and her friend, and she loved and cared for him as a person. I just hope that eventually they can resolve things and find closure because my heart is still broken for both of them 💔.
Thank you for this observation!!
I was getting worried that I may have written Sonic to be a bit harsh on Amy-- because he's yet to have his story told and character fleshed out and I'm really glad you saw through it!
I won't spoil too much of what will happen to them but, they will get their happy ending!
I'm glad you enjoyed my works! 💕

im doubling down on shipping obikin after my friends called me gross. that is NOT a strictly father-son relationship it is the most confusing mix of feelings ever did we WATCH the same movies lmfao
Yeah there are some... western-centric elements to people automatically writing off master-padawan ships and shoehorning a religious order into westernized nuclear family roles is one of them. Only one of them I might add.
There's a really good post that goes around (I'm sure I reblogged it like... aeons ago) compiling a Twitter thread about how and why the master-apprentice bond turning sexual or romantic when they become equals is an established thing in some of the Asian cultures GL uhhh "borrowed" large parts of the Jedi from and specifically why obikin is not inherently deviant.
Although if writers want to select interpretations or source material wherein Anakin would have a complex, possessive, is-he-my-father-or-my-daddy relationship I'm not opposed (I have a post somewhere on the importance of defending deviancy, and how I could've easily been a self-hating anti if not for the exposure to various obikin voices, but as a mobile only tumblr it's unfindable lmao).
Ultimately (imho) the one common thread between all obikinville, regardless of individual preference for happy, tragic, codependent, wholesome, fluff, porn, kinky, vanilla, 1k word meta posts about their dynamic, fix it or break it more, etc etc etc, is that we're here for how insane they are about each other.
And there are a lot of ways those two are insane about each other, many of which are delicious in either a literary or a sexual fantasy sense (or both).
But back to your point yes the million trillion times when Anakin is NOT looking respectfully at Obi-Wan AT ALL, he spends more time undressing Obi-Wan with his eyes than he does Padme. That is noooot son behaviour. They can barely stop psychically fucking each other's brain-bussy long enough to fight this war.
And the 928768872796489282831 ways canon is like "THEY WERE SOULMATES!"
And yes they could platonically look at each other like the sole source of all that is good and bright in this universe (Force knows that's how I see my friends) and move in such perfect unison it's like they're one body and bicker like an old married couple but hey. They could also do that romantically. Sexually even. Queerplatonically. All the above.

Harper!! Hi love!!
Please tell me everything about Poolverine!! I know absolute jack shit about it but the fanart you reblog and stuff looks so delicious xx
fig i could not love you more if i tried.
poolverine is one of the MANY xmen ships that has eaten at my brain of late, and now u indulge me with asking abt them???? YOU my friend are the delicious one. i will do my best to make this a reasonable length and also understandable.
ok here are our players: you have deadpool aka wade winston wilson and you have wolverine aka logan.
wade is a vigilante who started as a hitman. he has basically no morals except for his soft spot for abused children as he was one himself. he talks to much and copes with immense amounts of trauma via humour. he harbours a need to be needed + also a slight hero's complex but has been rejected from every cool and reputable superhero team there is (on account of the no morals). but, occasionally saves his dramatically and heroically saves his loved ones and more recently, the entire universe. wade has stage four terminal cancer but also the ability to rapidly regenerate his cells, thus, he not only is constantly surviving his cancer, but literally anything else. severed arm? no problem. body full of bullets? sure, give him like 30 seconds.
logan is 200 years old and has fought in literally every war ever. he is deeply traumatised (see: every war ever) and considers himself no hero, preferring his whole 'im a lone wolf i need no team' ideal. unlike wade, he IS a foundational member of one of the coolest superhero groups; the x-men, though he is adamant that he doesn't care for the team or actually want to be part of it (see: lone wolf, deeply troubled). like wade, logan can regenerate from almost anything. he has a near-indestructible metal welded to his skeleton as a result of a crazy scientist, metal claws that protract like a kitty cat's, and generally wolf-like instincts. these abilities are on account of him being a 'mutant'.
mutants are born with/have developed special genetic mutations (like claws or regeneration or laser eyes, etc). they are, generally, hated in this world. if the x-men series does one thing right, it makes for a wonderful analogy on fear-based discrimination on account of human differences (being a queer person and an x-man fan is not for the faint of heart, man). mutants and humans are constantly pitted against each other. groups like the x-men try to bridge the difference by proving they are not dangerous but only trying to live regular lives without having to hide. you can guess how well this goes (not at all well).
i hope you're with me so far.
now, logan eventually ends up (spoiler alert!) dying despite his healing factor by sacrificing himself very heroically and tragically - proved to be the x-man he always claimed he wasn't. he is remembered as a hero, THE x-man, etc. wade, not accepted into the x-men, has this one sided beef with dead-200yrs old-superhero logan.
cut to years later. wade has given up his vigilante/hero ways on account of all the rejection and everyone's disbelief that he could ever actually save the world/do anything remotely serious and genuinely heroic. however, all of wade's loved ones will die if he can't save the world this time. no one trusts he can actually do it, but it's all down to him. uh oh! dilemma! even worse? wade needs logan to save the world. logan who is still super dead, which isn't very helpful.
fear not! multiverse! long story short wade searches a bunch of parallel universes until he finds A logan that might work with him. unfortunately for the both of them, he ends up teaming up with who is known as the 'worst wolverine'. if logan from wade's timeline was traumatised, this guy's on a whole other level. worst!logan is responsible for the death of all the x-men in his universe, those who he definitely loved but refused to show he did - preferring to be an angry alcoholic over any kind of hero. if original!logan had few morals, this guy has none. he's not a nice guy. but that's okay, wade isn't really one either.
the fun dynamic we now have at play is: wade, not a hero, wants to be a hero, needs to be a hero but can't be. logan, a hero in literally every other universe, refuses outright to be one. both: sad. both: also capable of regenerating no matter what. both: with anger issues and violent tendencies and can be stabbed by the other a million times and never sustain lasting physical damage. aka: your match made in heaven. wade needs logan to become a hero to save all his loved ones. logan's loved ones are all fuckin' dead, why should he care? the parallels are beautiful and unending.
in the film that has just come out, the whole thing is basically a gay sex metaphor where they stab each other a bunch and definitely fall in love a bit (a lot), ending with worst!logan leaving his own timeline to permanently join wade's (which they did successfully save after they BOTH make the hero play and sacrifice themselves for each other yet both managing to survive). in the fics that have since further developed this dynamic, you see a lot of two men who have never known kindness or gentleness in their lives learn that they have to be slightly gentle bc they're both traumatised and unloved af (but also, not too gentle, they're both literally indestructible). and of course, you get some really delicious and artfully grotesque smut because they both have massive pain kinks and are, again, indestructible.
and that's the gist! logan generally can be shipped with quite literally anybody on account of the fact that he is a canonical whore and also the whole x-men team is a disaster of homoerotic relationships. however worst!logan x wade has a very special place in my heart.
i had so much fun with this. even if you read none of this, i thank you anyway for asking. everyone in my real life is sick of me talking about my silly little superheroes.
and fig, if you ever wanted to delve into the realm of tragic gay superhero ships, i recommend something called 'stucky'. it has nothing to do with the x-men but good god does it have the same brilliant awful-ness of wolfstar. i can make a whole seperate post about that some other time.

omg i read blood and beauty and its sequel last week bc it had been on my reading list for months!!!! and is this a safe space where i can just say that it hit the nail on the head for all of the borgias without unnecessarily vilifying one or the other (i mean basically considering how most writers hold some vendetta against juan) and i loved how u could really see lucrezia's growth from her childhood innocence to being forced to mature and grow up AND obsessed w any media that portrays cesare as ferocious and sharp and ruthless and juan finally got his flowers bc they obv showed his flaws but without making him the big bad evil when instead he also started off a kid but ended up being dragged to the bottom of the river by his father's ambitions 😔
i wish the 2nd book had progressed a little further to lucrezia's childbirth bed death so the story could come full circle and sometimes the pov switching was confusing for me but aside from that, the borgias will always be famous to meeeeeeeee and i love a good book that portrays them well!
ive been on the hunt for more borgia-centric books so if u have any recs......... <3
zaynab omg hello!!!!! i was kinda waiting for someone to talk to me about this book because it's my absolute #1 favorite historical fiction book <3
i'm so happy you enjoyed reading it! the way miss dunant brilliantly humanized the borgia family by creating striking and compelling narratives for them was truly *chef's kiss*. it's safe to say that her portrayal of them has even made her my favorite author as well (and made me want to check out her other work, lol). the way she made them so sympathetic is truly admirable to me, which is also a standout aspect of the book as we manage to develop a deep understanding of their motivations and complexities through her nuanced portrayal, you know? i say it could've been done more when it came to lucrezia, as she is truly one of the most compelling figures in history (and my all-time favorite). i'm not criticizing dunant for lucrezia's portrayal!! but it's more like i wished she added more of lucrezia's lore...but alas! other books did her more justice, i must say!
my favorite theme of the book is the immense love the pope has for his children. the way [spoiler] juan was taken too soon from him is profoundly melancholic and it added emotional depth to the story and it highlighted the power of a father's love and the devastating impact of losing a beloved child. also, YEAH, the book felt like a breath of fresh air when it came to juan borgia! he was unfairly demonized with no reliable narrative and mostly used as a prop to hype up cesare at his expense *yawns*… but dunant made him an individual, likable character in the book, countering the unjust treatment he always receives. her portrayal of him allowed us to discover the vulnerability and sensitivity that lie beneath his outwardly arrogant and handsome demeanor. we really can't help but feel deep empathy and pity for him as we read about his inner struggles and emotional depth. he became a truly compelling and sympathetic figure within the borgia family, especially when his death is met with cruelty and brutality. the tragic nature of his demise evokes an even stronger sense of empathy and sorrow in the narrative of juan losing himself and being overwhelmed by the heavy task he was entrusted with…
and cesare, of course, was portrayed as that sulking, bitter, cruel but incredibly intelligent, cunning, and charming guy! lowkey a recurring theme for him, but the flavor in making him extra dark in the slayest way possible made me insane in a very positive way! you should watch "los borgia (2006)" for a delicious portrayal of cesare (and personally, i think it's the most historically accurate).
more books? i'd recommended emma lucas's 'lucrezia borgia' and maria bellonci's 'life and times of lucrezia borgia' - both are biographies btw! their work is a solid read, very unbiased without any manipulation of the letters about/between the siblings to push certain narratives (hello sarah bradford!!), well-researched, sheds light on the family's complex relationships and their rise to power, and is highly sympathetic to all of them. you won't be disappointed!!
for historical fiction, i'd recommend mario puzo's 'the family' ...you will never be disappointed after all it's by the dude who wrote the godfather!
i hope you enjoy them <333 i'll be waiting for your feedback :)
#zaynab 💌#giggles i love this family#i'm glad you enjoyed the book <3#the borgias#history#historical fiction#book recommendations#historical book#house of borgia#borgia#blood and beauty#mario puzo#sarah dunant

man I have been sleeping on season 10 wincest. it is serving so much! Sam is so unbelievably in love with fond of Dean and so concerned for him, you can taste it in every single moment, his number one priority is getting that mark off Dean's arm and just getting his brother back. I'm realizing now how it's a sort of a season 3 parallel, with the looming dread of a terminal condition hanging over Dean, and Sam determined to save him, but this time he's not gonna fail no matter the cost. it's so delicious. and Dean! vacillating between his lowest i'm-a-lost-cause lows and nearly zen-like highs, reflecting on his life and purpose and, for the first time in maybe ever, on his desires, for himself and his future--a future that, however brief, he wants to spend with Sam. he still sees himself as expendable after the blow to his confidence that was the season 9 divorce, but despite the literal fratricide-inducing curse he's under, for most of the season he's more upfront and honest with Sam than ever before, and actually allows himself to lean on him more than in the past.
there's an exquisitely bittersweet mutual dedication but with this disparity between what they each think their futures could/should be, because Dean can't quite believe that Sam needs him as much as he needs Sam. but he's okay with that. which is so tragic because it's not even true; Sam does need him, and he's half out of his mind with worry. he's so eager to be there for Dean, and yet so emotionally alone in his crusade to save him. this is one of my favorite Sams, at his most headstrong and single-minded. and a mature, complex Dean, who's finally being completely honest with himself about a lot of things, but too late--so he thinks--to do anything about it. it's so easy (and painful!) to imagine him finally accepting his true feelings for Sam, but refusing to act on them because what's the use? Sam needs to let him go and that's not gonna help, and besides, no way does Sam feel the same. and Sam, who's maybe always known how he feels about Dean or maybe is just realizing it now, also afraid to start something at such a fragile moment but dying to prove to his brother just how much he loves him. desperate, determined Sam and clear-eyed nihilist Dean; it's a match made in heaven <3
#wincest meta#my meta#spn season 10#huh realizing that this season is a really good rewatch for my current wip#because that ship dynamic--desperate determined/clear-eyed nihilist--is pretty much the whole thing in a nutshell#it really is a match made in heaven to my tastes :)#so glad i wasn't on tumblr when s10 aired but happy to be in my own little bubble blogging about it now#when me and maybe three other people will care lol#wincest#spn

I know I'm terminally coffin-brained lately but hear me out it really bothers me that the perception of the Coffin of Andy & Leyley is ONLY "hehe incest cannibalism game" which is....not EXACTLY inaccurate but it certainly simplifies it ya know??? like I call it the incest cannibalism game too as a joke but I'm realizing there are a lot of people who think of it as like...a porn game? & btw I'm not AGAINST porny games or whatever I just think it's reductive & inaccurate to call Andy & Leyley that when in reality there is not even (so far) any textual sexual content beyond a demonic vision of a possible future. yes very obviously their relationship does have a sexual & romantic undertone, but it's compelling specifically because it's a complex story about siblings who have been genuinely fucked over by their parents & the world & they have developed a topically obsessive codependent relationship as a result.
like the initial conversation that the game's title is based on is Andrew casually half-jokingly talking about killing himself & it's just so..... narratively delicious. Ashley is not some horny one-dimensional slut who just wants to fuck her brother? Her reaction to Andrew talking about suicide is to joke that she'll race him to the balcony & he says back - semi sarcastically but we KNOW there's truth in his words, that he's clearly thought about this - that it would be too romantic, that they would be smashed together on the pavement, buried in the same coffin & like...the game proceeds from there with these two living in this intertwined fate, tangled together in ways neither of them can ever escape. it's romantic but it's also tragic & awful.
Andrew's love for Ashley will always be bitter & tinted with resentment because he was thrust with the responsibility of raising his little sister when he was only a child himself. he was made responsible for caring for Ashley with absolutely NO example of what caring for someone looked like & he was barely old enough to care for himself. Ashley never had anyone care for her in her entire life except Andrew & so she absolutely adores him to a dangerous & unhealthy degree.
like I hate it when people think Ashley is oh so abusive & manipulative or Andrew is so awful & selfish (she is manipulative & he is occasionally selfish) but like - as if there are not layers upon layers of WHY she treats Andrew the way she does & WHY he's so resentful. (as a side note I think debating who abuses who (aside from obviously the fact that they were both abused in different ways by their mother) or who's "worse" just...misses the whole ass point.)
and the cannibalism is initially about survival & the stakes are very apparent & built super well given the opening of the game spends a lot of time just demonstrating that they are literally starving to death to the point where Ashley is fainting & they're sharing a can of tomatoes out of the garbage joking that it's the best meal they've ever had. it is highly worth noting the way their actions escalate & get worse & worse with time as the game proceeds & you can see the way they're both getting more & more comfortable with violence & taboo. this game just would not compel me if it were just randomly "lol let's eat people!" get real
idk I just feel like people who don't know the game get the wrong idea about it when it's actually SO narratively rich okay bye
(this is not an anti Gravecest post either just to be clear, I fucking love the ship I just feel like it gets oversimplified often & also that Ashley especially is highly mischaracterized a lot, even in the game's marketing sometimes. at the core of the game are two deeply broken people who were fucked over bad & who are tied together in a way that neither of them can ever escape. it's love as horror & I loooove that about it)
#tcoaal#this is apropos of nothing it's just been constantly on my mind lately lmao#gravecest#ashley graves#anderew graves#the coffin of andy & leyley#i do feel sure this will be read in bad faith by someone but I'm just rambling i have to speak my mind skajdksjd

Trey: *Trying to explain Riddle is that way because of his mom*
Me: Give me a minute as I pull up my ‘Trauma Doesn’t Excuse Sh*t Behavior’ PowerPoint.
Say it with me, everyone: an explanation is not an excuse 😊
You know, the other day I was watching one of Ryan George's Pitch Meetings and when Producer Guy asked Writer Guy how the audience would root for the villain of the franchise and the response was "he's handsome" which basically explains most people's reactions to fictional men.
Prepare for incoming rant that has little to do with the ask
This probably might come as a shock because one of the main appeal of twst would be the whole villainous aspect/Disney Villain fanbase but I don't really like villains that much, at least, not romantically. Like don't get me wrong, I think that they're incredible characters and it would be so fun to sit down with one and have a conversation with one. Villain songs are so fun (I was literally singing ‘This Day Aria’ to myself the other day I haven’t heard that song in like a decade) and you can tell that that characters like Scar or Hades or Shere Khan or Jafar or Maleficent are having so much fun being deliciously evil and even the more serious, complex ones like Loki or Frollo are fun to pick apart so yeah I understand the hype. I just always rooted for the heroes and I guess heroic characters have always been more my type.
My mother absolutely loves Erik Destler and is forever salty that Christine chose Raoul (despite my many many attempts at arguing why Raoulstine is the superior couple - smol primary school me could not understand why my mum liked the chandelier dropper and was deeply concerned), my best friend has been in love with Heathcliffe since we were eleven, and my little sister has literally told me that her type of fictional men are the toxic red flags (not exactly word for word but she did explain why she likes bad boys over good boys when I was complaining about how my type (wholesome soft boys) always get sidelined for the arrogant, snarky bad boys - we're also very diametrically opposed on our views of friends to lovers (my s++ tier all time favourite and her loathing) vs enemies to lovers (I can't really stand it - Pride and Prejudice is the only exception - and that's literally all she consumes) so that might also be a reason).
Like, I understand the appeal of a Byronic hero (Mr Darcy has far too much power) - a closed off, broody man that hates everything but you? And will burn down the world to keep you warm? I can respect that there are people who dig that. But their not really for me.
The mild bout of insanity thirteen year old me had where I spent two months attracted to Edward Rochester is an outlier and should not have been counted (though that was during my wattpad phase so...)
But I can admit that I have yet to shake off my feelings for Dr Henry Jekyll, Victor Frankenstein and Dorian Gray (though to be fair, Mr Gabriel John Utterson the lawyer and cinnamon roll artist boy Basil Hallward do own my heart). And yes, Jeremy Jordan did make me question my morality as he did make my feelings for Light Yagami be too positive to be sane for a brief moment (Touta Matsuda is still my man, don't worry). But apart from them, literally all of my faves are what you'd call your traditional, morally upright heroes.
Basically what I'm saying is that my perception might be skewed because I've never had the whole 'villains are cooler' mindset when it came to stories. Yes, I love the villains as characters but I always liked their heroic foils more (goodness is just so attractive to me). You get lots of amazing heroic protagonists that have horribly tragic backstories and they're the ones I always fall for because the idea of being a kind sweetheart despite the world being anything but is just *chef's kiss* that's a kind of strength that's so swoon-worthy.
I guess that's why it's harder for me to look past the characters' actions in twst is because, well, they chose to do everything they did. They made a conscious choice to be terrible, despite understanding the consequences. Riddle may have been brainwashed into becoming a tyrant by his mother but he still admitted that he knew he was being horrible - he understands the concept of morality, of good and bad, and he willingly and deliberately did everything he did.
I suppose this text post I found on Pinterest would explain my point better:

Ok I'll be honest. . . I want to SHIP!
I want complex, angsty, heartbreaking, deep and unique relationships built between our muses that we can totally go nuts over. To build the connection from scratch, make that roots strong and always have more delights to put into the story that always will be full of surprises. I want us to adore the girls and guys we write for,and just be fair to each other over it and not to use the other for just one.
Honestly, just want a long term rp partner that will enjoy investing equally in everything, plot, ship, characters. . . Would love a mumu thread [ doubling too ], and love both of your characters and just ask to receive the same appreciation for mine, not just the guy, since I would adore to ship both of them romantically. Currently into supernatural, drama ,slasher and apocalypse plots but others aren't out of the question. Preferred platform: Discord.Below, under the cut,you will find a few plots I'm into the most lately.
What can you expect:
• Visuals,playlist, videos... I l o v e to send those out/make them to bring our story to life
• TOTAL gushing about our pairings. I can't help myself when I'm into the story
• Long term, realistic development with bunch of side threads to put our lovelies into different situations where we can overdose on fangirling
Where are you lovely writers with same desires ? (21+ only)
• Witch hunter falls for a witch during the Salem witch trials [ him being a little older than her ]. Him not being aware of her nature at first. Both living a lonesome, private life after their tragic histories, their love didn't bloom immediately, but lust was present. Stealing glances, tension, secret meetings... ugh, just a turbulent ride.
• Young, arrogant, egoistic, clasic ' bad boy ' fighter whose success is skyrocketing meets a slightly older reporter [ maybe he is 23 and she 30 ] paid by his manager to report about his wins. She is a smart, independent woman with a taste for adventure, already in relationship, and he is a flirt with ' no strings ' attached policy. They bicker, but tension is high, and one time after the fight where he wins, they hook up in the locker room. They both stay quiet about it, yet he wears a cheeky grin every time he sees her, HOWEVER after he notices she is not bothered by it even a bit, his interest begins to grow. They end up sneaking to luxury houses rented for a night, hotel rooms, hook up in his gym after the interview...and oh how the tables have turned -- she runs the shots, sticking firmly to the ' keep it on the low, no feelings attached ' ( but ofc she secretly wants him ) and he becomes more and more jealous, getting pissed seeing her boyfriend calling her, trying to replace her with other women. Things get messy, he starts drunk calling, they argue. . . It all turns in this delicious drama, angst, sexy fiery story
