Different anon but wanted to add more to the Matriarch/Mother AU that’s basically been created. It’s quite the family drama and I’m here for it. You go mortal woman, go put these Demigods in their place! And thank you for your cervix cause I’m sure the Lion is beast in private during the Crusade.

The Matriarch in the eyes of the current Dark Angels is nothing more than an untrustworthy woman and a threat to the Lion and the Legion. Yet to the “Risen”, the Matriarch or Mother, as they call her, is a beacon of leadership, hope, and guidance, second only to their Primarch, the Lion. The “Risen” describe her to be akin to a genuine Mother of the Legion, where you can go to for comfort and wisdom. The “Risen” even have told tales that the Mother/Matriarch has an attitude and temper akin to the Lion if she’s pushed to the brink. While rare that this temper is shown, it is to be avoided as per the “Risen’s” warning. Said temper is something to behold as this small woman reprimanding an Astartes is quite the spectacle. Everything she does is so beyond foreign and alien to the current Dark Angels that they can’t comprehend why she does certain things.

Tales of the Matriarch spread throughout the Legion on how she handles the engrained paranoia of the Dark Angels. A tale describing a moment when the Matriarch was traveling through The Rock with her “Risen” guards when a Dark Angel pulled his sword on her. The Dark Angel claimed that she was Chaos tainted which come back to destroy the Lion and the legion. Of course the “Risen” were quick to shield their Mother and defend her. Meanwhile the Mother was unfazed by the claim and proceeded to not only approach the Dark Angel, uncaring of the sword at her chest, then continued to reprimand the Dark Angel as if this encounter was nothing more than disciplining a child. She went on to lecture the Dark Angel, claiming that this paranoia is unbecoming and makes the Legion look like fools and immature children. Followed with if the Imperium were to witness it then surely they would be branded heretics. She continued with that it is a wonder how they’ve survived this long with either the Lion and herself. More “colorful” language was used by the Matriarch in this encounter but the message was definitely received by the Legion through this tale. The Lion himself is fond of this tale, the thought of his wife going off on his sons’ does some things to him.

Perhaps another was a moment when a Dark Angel spotted the Matriarch in the library (or Librarium, whatever fancy ass word they use) with one of the “Risen”. The Matriarch was lost in reading when the “Risen” approached her, kneeled, asked for forgiveness. Not only did the Matriarch forgive this “Risen”, she also embraced him, like a mortal human Mother would embrace their child. Of course word spread about this encounter among the current Dark Angels, the engrained paranoia in all of them didn’t know how to comprehend this. (A parental figure showing compassion and empathy to their sons’ is foreign, go figure.)

i love this intense dynamic and how it's leading into fractures between these two differing thinking dark angels, which makes sense given the subject matter. The Risen remember her and thus have knowledge the infamous suspicious current dark angels do not have.

Reading TGCF: Chapter 79

Fourteen Days of MHA: Day 3

Light Fades to Rain

Okay, let's gush. Here are my feelings about the anime adaptation of chapters 360-362: season 7 episode 11. This will quickly devolve from eloquent discussion to raging madness I promise.

The opening five minutes are the weakest part of the episode. This is the only section I will lodge any complaints about, and honestly they're not that serious.

The sadomasochism got toned down :P

I kind of expected it, and honestly I get why. Even though it was scaled back, the scene was effective enough for most viewers because there's just something about seeing it animated that makes it feel visceral anyways. The detail was always going to be reduced in the art when adapted to animation, and a lot of that art could've looked really bad without the necessary detail.

But it wouldn't be on brand for me if I didn't mention that it bummed me out lol.

The only other thing I can complain about isn't even an issue with the episode, it's an error in the subtitles.

"...you're just goldfish poop next to All For One."

a) It should be "One For All," not "All For One."

b) I don't think they should have kept it as "goldfish poop." Sorry to any language purists out there, but the idiomatic meaning of this phrase in Japanese will not get picked up by an English-speaking audience--and that idiom is important. It has an impact on how Katsuki behaves going forward. I think the subtitles should have changed that to something like "a minnow in One For All's wake" or "a tag-along weakling," ANYTHING to get the point across that Tomura is trying to inflict psychological damage by telling Katsuki he'll never amount to anything on the level of One For All. That message informs the rest of the episode!

Now, if that's the only complaint I have about this whole episode--a slightly too-fast-paced-under-detailed opening scene and a bad subtitle--then I'm a happy camper. And indeed that is the only complaint I have.

This episode is a masterpiece of adaptation.

The focus on the Big Three is so good because it does such a good job of masking where the episode is going but it's perfectly in-theme because of the parallels the three of them have with Izuku and Katsuki. IT JUST WORKS MAN. I LOVE IT.

The music that plays when Katsuki mutters is an excellent choice, though I wish they could have done something to hammer the point home more that he was indeed muttering and analyzing like Izuku does. Maybe the little "mutter" text would've been dissonant in tone lol but still I wish there was a way they could've done it. I do think the point does come across in the end still, but it's just more impactful when you get to see the little "mutter" text come full circle. Yeah yeah, manga vs anime and all that.

I didn't expect the tone they went with for Jeanist's reaction to Katsuki's muttering, but it was just different not like bad or anything. I kinda liked the whole "what the fuuuuck" vibe of it. I was thinking more like "Holy shit, I'm a proud dad" tone but this works XD

Jeanist is such a dad.

HE SPARKLE. KATSUKI, HE SPARKLE. IT SO PRETTY. AT LAST.

The animators were SOOOO trying to hide the twist this episode from the anime-only viewers, they didn't even put Katsuki on the commercial bumpers, they didn't want to SPOIL THE SURPRISE. IT'S SO GOOD.

Lost it at Tenko's freak out (damn voice actor wow) and Mirio's "g-gomen." I need the dub of this scene so bad.

JEANIST MY FIRST LOVE, DAD-ING SO HARD ALL OVER THIS EPISODE LOOK AT HIM GO.

Nejire is adorable as hell and everyone in MHA is so easily read as autistic it's remarkable actually.

They really put the typography behind the plasma cannon they actually did that.

UNF THAT PIANO. THE PIANO GOES OFF ALL OVER THE PLACE THIS EPISODE, DAMN.

Also good job on making the plasma cannon blast look small and precise to contrast Katsuki's attack last episode, because Katsuki definitely has more firepower but Tamaki has the finesse to concentrate the attack for a sustained period.

Takashi Mitsuya has a crush on you and dammit is he mad about it. He can't do anything without remembering their face, their laugh, and their oh so gorgeous soul. He starts to turn red just at the memory of them. He is quite sure that all of this is probably their fault.

It's 100% their fault.

Why did they have to be beautiful? Why did they have to have a melodious laugh? A smile that could light the whole world, they were so kind, compassionate and empathetic to all. You were so perfect.

How could you fall in love with a boy like him? He couldn't give you what you deserved. All he could offer you was his heart, mind and soul, but was it enough? You deserved the world, the moon and the stars themselves

He still remembers the day he first saw you. Mikey introduced you to the gang and added you to Mitsuya's division. You were such a social butterfly, getting to know everyone and everyone liking you back, he thought how could a kind faced person be in a gang but when he saw you fight you were ruthless, your fists and kicks were strong and he meant like really strong.

After the fight ended you went to Mitsuya to check on him. Later you even nursed him at his home and met his sisters who loved you. He remembers how you so carefully nursed him.

"Your knuckles are badly bruised Mitsuya-kun." You softly spoke.

"Ouch!" Mitsuya exclaimed, taking his hand backward.

"C'mon give me your hand, are they really hurting that much?"

"Yes."

"Aww poor baby.” You coo.

“Why don’t you kiss the pain away?” He said jokingly, grinning

You took his hand.and brought it to your lips and softly kissed each of his knuckles. You looked at him with a grin on your face while his cheeks were tinted pink.

“There. Better?”

Mitsuya looked away from you, “Yes.”

You laughed at his behaviour, poor boy was blushing just by a kiss.

That moment for some reason really got into his brain and he kept thinking about it from time to time.

He has no idea if you like him or not but confessing to you is worth a try, But here’s the thing, he tried to confess to you, multiple times, but each time he did try to tell you about his feelings his plans got spoiled by one way or another.

Like this one time both of you were going on a bike ride with no destination in mind. His body felt hot with your hands around his waist. You both reached a scenic overlook, it was soon going to be dark and the sky was painted a beautiful orange with darkness sweeping close and you could see stars starting to appear, everything was quiet and peaceful. 

“This is the perfect time.” He thought.

“Y/N, I need to tell you something.”

“Yes?” You looked at him with eyes that twinkled like the stars.

“Umm… This has been on my mind for quite some time and I wanted to-”

“Well, if it isn’t the 2nd division captain, Takashi Mitsuya from the Tokyo Manji Gang.” Some guy said. Behind him were six more people.

“Oh fuck.” Mitsuya thought.

And that’s how Mitsuya got interrupted while confessing his feelings for you and got roped into a fight with a gang which he has ever heard the name of before.

Another time was when you and Mitsuya were in his house and you were playing with Mana and Luna when Mana went to her room to show you something and Luna went along with her sister. Mitsuya saw this as another opportunity to tell you about his feelings.

“So Y/N-” He was interrupted by a scream coming from his sisters’ room. They both got up to see what was going on. When they reached the room they saw that the blankets had fallen over Luna. Mitsuya took a breath of relief that nothing bad had happened to them but damn did he miss his opportunity.

One time he took you out for coffee and you agreed but when he was about to confess Mikey came into the shop with Draken and after so rudely interrupting Mikey had the audacity to ask him “Why the long face Mitsuya?”

Being disheartened he exited the cafe, maybe he’s not the one he thought. After walking some distance he heard his name being called. He looked back to see you running up to him.

“Can we go somewhere a bit secluded?” You asked him and he agreed.

You both walked till you both reached a park near your house. Both of you sat on the swings. You took a deep breath and spoke.

“Mitsuya, I don’t really know how to say this but I like you, like really really like you. You are smart, funny and a wonderful person. You also are so beautiful. I like you so much, you mean a lot to me. So is it possible if we could possibly start dating?” You asked, your voice unsure as your leg fidgeted.

He looked at you with eyes wide open. He has been trying to confess for nearly two months and you did it in one go.

“Are you joking?!’ Mitsuya exclaimed.

You looked down with a visible frown on your face. “I knew you didn’t like me. Well, it was worth a try.” You got up and started walking towards your house.

Mitsuya runs towards to catch up to you because he can’t believe that the person of his dreams just confessed to him. He grabbed you by the wrist and made you turn towards him.

“I like you too Y/N L/N.”

I tried to described the tension between Nam Gyu and Reader as much as possible and but a as much description in feeling as I could so tell me if it's not enough. Min-Ah still held your hand as you entered the Club. It was more warm inside and you felt your body relaxed under the heat. In the long corridor which will probably lead you to the main room, you could already hear the music blasting. Your heart was still racing in your chest, making you look many times behind you as you hesitate to go back outside just to see if you didn't dream or hallucinate Nam Gyu, but what if you did ? Crap, since you noticed him in Thanos's picture you can't think about someone else. It feels like you need to see him now that you know he’s not dead, you need to talk to him and get answers. And when you're gonna get them, what do you plan to do anyway ? Your little relation or whatever it was is long gone and dead, if it even was something. 

As you pass the door, the music gets louder. Lights were all over the room, passing to every color super quickly. Min-Ah giggled, she couldn't hold her excitement to be here. She got out  her phone and took a quick selfie, you guessed it was for the guy she came to see. You rolled your eyes and looked around, trying to find the bar, cause you definitely gonna need a drink or two, if it’s not more. ‘’ Thanos is in the VIP section. He said he put my name on the list, let’s go see him ‘’ She said with a big smile.

You didn’t have time to answer before she started walking fast, almost running through the VIP section. She waved at someone on the second floor and you look up, seeing a guy with colored hair waving back at her with a Smile. You recognize him, it was Thanos and he surprisingly seemed waiting for Min-Ah.

Climbing the stairs, your friend calls her name to the guy who guards the section and He gave both of you a bright yellow bracelet before letting you in. Min-Ah let go of your hand before almost running to Thanos. With a big smile, He gently took her hand and put a soft kiss on top of it. Even in the thin light I could see her blush. ‘’ Oh, Thanos, this is my friend, Y/N I hope you don’t mind me bringing her here. ‘’ The purple haired rapper gave you a smile before his eyes went back to Min-Ah ‘’ Of course Not, Senorita, the more people, the better it is ‘’ He showed us his private place and sat down on a cheap leather couch, bringing your friend with him. You took a seat in front of them, listening to Thanos talking about his music and when he was going to perform. It shouldn't be that long anymore. As the conversation went, you felt a little tension between them and you guessed it could be better for all of you if you let them alone for a moment.

‘’ I’m gonna go grab some Drinks.’’ You said, getting up. Min-Ah smiled and asked you to bring her a fruity cocktail and you nodded before leaving.As you made your way to the bar, at least trying to, cause damn you were so lost in here, you started to realise how much of a bad idea it was to come here. Your mind didn't stop thinking about Nam Gyu and your friend would probably prefer to be alone with Thanos to make out if it’s not more.

During that time, Nam Gyu was peacefully sitting at the bar, Talking with Se Mi as he sipped his drink. Well, talking was a big word, he listened to the music and her talking to the other customer but his mind was somewhere else. He noticed you when he was outside. Of course, he hasn't seen you in a while, since he was a teenager, so maybe he was wrong, maybe it wasn't you. It was so fast, he probably saw someone who looked like you. After all, why do a girl like you come to a place like this? It’s not a safe place for a rich daddy’s girl like you was. 

Between two customers, Se mi Put a shot in front of Nam Gyu, making him come back to reality. He looked at her, confused. He hadn't even finished his first drink yet. «-You look like someone who needs something stronger than this shit, so take this. It’s good for you.» He scoffs and takes the little glass, Se Mi holding one too and they both drink it at the same time. The strong taste of the alcohol almost burned Nam Gyu’s throat and he put it back on the counter once he drank it all, one shot. «-It tastes like shit, but indeed I needed this.» Se mi smiled, amused «- I never said it tasted good. » Nam Gyu slid the glass to her, smirking. «-At least it tastes better than you » The girl frowned, insulted by her friend's words, but she also knew he was just teasing her. «-Go fuck Yourself dude. »

Nam Gyu laughs, amused as she goes away to take care of the customer and as soon as she leaves, the raven haired feels his heart squeeze when he hears his name being called by a familiar voice, Your voice, from behind him. He could just ignore it and leave like he never heard your voice, but somehow, he couldn’t and turned around to face you. 

Your heartbeat goes faster as he turns around. You felt like it was unreal, but it was, this time you were sure, you hadn't imagined it. You were overwhelmed by too many emotions at the same time ; Pain, sadness, relief, anger, confusion. Too many questions collided in your mind as you looked for words, for the best thing you could say and as you were about to say something, he was the first to talk «-Hey Y/N, it’s been a while. »

You stayed silent for a moment, getting closer to him, examining him, his face, his expression, looking for something without really knowing what you looked for. «-Fuck…I definitely need a drink »

Nam Gyu laughed and let you take whatever pleased you. It’s been a while since the last time you saw each other. Things had changed, he had changed and oh so you did. As you waited for your fruity shit you called a drink, From Nam Gyu's point of view, of course, he couldn't help but check you out. You didn’t have that many forms last time he saw you and he’s not gonna lie about it, the view was pretty satisfying to see. Se Mi gave you your drink and the addition, but Nam Gyu pulled back the little paper to her. «-Put it on my tab » He said before looking at you. «-Wanna go talk outside ? » You were surprised and looked at the barmaid who seemed just as surprised as you but didn’t say anything about it and left you alone. «-Yeah, good idea, you finally replied. »

Once you were both Outside, on the private balcony of Nam gyu’s office, the same he was on when you noticed him when you arrived at the club, you felt better. The air was a little bit cold, but it was less noisy than inside and for a moment it felt good to enjoy the almost silent alley. You took a sip of your drink while Nam gyu lightened up a cigarette. Inhaling and exhaling the smoke. Your eyes roamed over him, examining details you haven’t noticed inside, like his tattooed arms, his shoulders, slightly muscular arms, his veiny hands. In that exact moment, you felt no better than a man. 

Looking away and taking another sip of your drink, also called by you ; potion of courage, you finally asked the question who burned your lips for years. «-So… where were you all those years ? Why did you just… vanish ? »

Nam Gyu taps on his cigarette, making the ashes being carried away by the light wind of the night. «-No where specifically. I moved a lot. My parents took that decision without even warning me, so...»

That wasn’t a Lie, but that wasn't true either. It was a truth in disguise. You just didn’t need to know everything about what happened, Not now. Maybe you Will never have to know the truth. 

«-I thought you were dead, Nam Gyu… » You voiced Cracked, some tears showed up in your eyes. You looked away when his dark eyes met yours for a fraction of seconds. He was confused but couldn't help but chuckle. How in hell had you came to that conclusion ? Nothing about him passed on the tv or in the newspapers. He was about to ask, but you continued, offended by his reaction. «-It’s not funny ! I was worried about you ! Do you know how it feels to arrive at the house of someone you care about and find the police with caution tape all over the property ?! »

This time you couldn't hold your tears and let it flow. You still avoided eye contact with Nam Gyu and quickly whipped your tears. «-You cared that much for me while we were only classmates ? That’s … unexpected » He replied before inhaling another puf of his cigarette. 

You felt offended,again. In your memories, you weren't just classmates, you were more. Not just friends, but not completely lovers, but you cared for him and You knew he felt the same way. «-You know it was more than that… » 

Nam Gyu sighed loudly as he exalted smoke from his mouth. You were right and what pissed him off was that you remembered it. He remembered how he felt when he was with you, he was in love and you were too. Any of you never said it out loud, but it was something both felt. Nam Gyu tried once to push this a little further by trying to kiss you. He had asked you to close your eyes and so you did. He had his chance to just put his lips on yours, but when he was close, his lips almost brushing yours, he got scared of doing the wrong thing and he just kissed your cheek instead. It wasn’t a bad decision either. It was cute and that was exactly what you had said when you opened your eyes, cheeks a little bit red. But now that Nam Gyu doesn't exist anymore, he’s the one who died. «- You know, somehow, you’re right. I am Dead. At least, the Nam Gyu you felt for is.. »

He let his cigarette fall on the floor before crushing it under his feet. «- And the new one is way different from the other and I don’t think you will Like him.» 

You scoffed , how could he know what you would like ? He had no idea, but you kept that for yourself, taking another sip of your drink or two, or three, until you finished it and put the empty on the little table near you. «-What makes you think I will not like this one ?» Yeah, you couldn't keep that to you, you had to ask. Nam Gyu's dark eyes looked at you with a little smile on his lips before getting closer to you. You didn’t move, your body was laying against the small fence of the balcony, quickly getting trapped between Nam Gyu’s body who was really close to you, now. His hand gently replaced your hair behind your ear as his sharp eyes were still locked on you, his cocky smile still on his lips. Your heartbeat goes faster when he gets closer to you, you could feel your cheeks becoming hot. You simply closed your eyes, thinking He will kiss you, but he stopped when his lips were close to your ear. You could feel his hot breath against you and the strong smell of the cigarette. «-Because Daddy’s girl like you can’t handle a guy like me. » He paused. «-I’m too much for you.»

You wanted to talk back to this, you wanted to say how wrong he’s, but you didn’t really know. All you were sure about was he was right on the fact that you’re a daddy’s girl, but not because you wanted or liked it, simply because it’s all you know. You alway had that kind of luxurious Lifestyle, but it didn’t make you your entire personality.

Opening your eyes, you were about to say something, but word stayed trapped in your throat when you felt Nam Gyu’s hand slide on your tight, slowly going up to find a place on your hips.  «-You Know, Y/N i’m not the gentle kind, even less a prince charming or other bullshit like this.» His lips moved, you felt it on your neck, brushing your skin, making you shiver. You never let anyone be so close to you like he is now and it wasn’t enough. You felt like you needed more. It was a new feeling, a little bit unpleasant but also delectable at the same time. «-I just take whatever I want, whatever please me. I’m rough,I’m honest and I hit where it hurts.» He takes a step back and you slowly breathe again. You didn’t even realise you held your breath until now, making Nam Gyu smirking more. «-I could have done the same with you, but you have a Fiancé so out of respect for you, I will keep my hands for myself.»

Your mind racing, you felt confused and a little bit scared from what just happened. It felt so wrong, so why do you feel like you wanted more ? No...You needed more. More of him ? Of his touch ? You never felt that way with any guys before. Trying to get your focus back and keep your composure back, you answered. «-It’s arranged. He's not my real fiancé, it’s more a political relation for our families. I don’t love him and he doesn't love me. He’s more like a brother to me. »

Nam Gyu chuckles again and passes his hand in his hair. He didn’t know what to think now. You were close before, but he didn’t lie when He say he’s not the same. He changed a lot, He saw things any kids should have seen. He wanted to see you  many times when he was in a harder period of his life and there you are, after all that time. But he knows how much trouble this could be now that you’re both adults. He knows how different your lifestyle is and he knows he could hurt you. He knows you deserve better than him, but having you here, so close to him was hard. You both could feel the tension, the attraction between you. And Nam Gyu knows more than well he would not be able to stop himself if he started something with you. Your body language, your eyes, your lips, everything seems to scream his name and only god knows how much he would like to destroy every part of you. «-Fuck Y/N, don’t make things harder for Us. »

«-What do you mean ? You asked, confused » Nam gyu sighted and took another step back. How could you be so clueless about that ? He couldn’t believe He was the only one to feel it. «-You’re hot, Y/N. If it wasn’t because I knew you had someone I could have taken you here or on my desk in my office, whatever the place. I know you feel it too, this tension. And this is bad, for both of us. »

Other words you couldn’t really understand. You understood the meaning and the image of him fucking you raw on his desk made you blush as you felt a hot feeling in your stomach. The idea turned you on but also scared you. « - I don’t see where the problem is. » You were quickly cut by Nam Gyu who’s starting to get a little irritated. «-We don’t belong to the same world. I will destroy you and you destroy me. I know it. You have a bright future and I don’t want you to screw it because of me. »

He took a pause again, taking a deep breath to calm himself as he turned around, ready to go back inside. «-It was nice to see you again, but it will not happen again. »

C&A are taking more of a control in the world, making the Cast Abstract on purpose to mess around with their codes to turn them into 'NPCs' but this is a secret, shhh. Caine suspects they're up to no good and start's protecting the Cast, but C&A didn't like that so they altered the world, to a sort of late 1800's world, sort of a Toon Town style from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and they were able to 'hide' the code of the previous world from the Cast, some were easier than others to fool. So now it's up to Caine, Bubble to find the Cast and stop C&A; So far he's found Zooble and Gangle who have figured out shits going on, Pomni is about to be found next.

"I doubt medics know how to fight. I mean Ratchet surely does but THEM?"

"If I were you Smokescreen, I wouldn't be saying that...", Bulkhead chimed in, a hint of worry in his tone of voice.

"Pff nahh, am I right doctor?"

You just roll your optics in annoyance, continuing on working on the task Ratchet gave you, back to the others.

Atleast he stopped calling you doc, so that's gotta be something.

Yes you may be a medic in training but oh was he wrong with that statement of his.

"Look? They're not even replying, because they know I'm soo right."

You turned around to face the white red and blue bot, who had his arms crossed before his chassis so full of himself.

"Oh really Smokey?"

"Hey, you know I hate that nickname!"

"Fine, I will stop using it IF, you win against me in a 1v1."

"Oh, it's so on!"

"But", you add, raising a single digit at him. "If I win, I'm gonna call you that for as long as I shall live. And no more making fun of medics, I mean it"

"Pff, humans call that child's play."

Raising an optic ridge, you step away from the console, attention now fully on him.

"Go on.", you try to encourage him.

"At least step away from my equipment...", Ratchet grumbled.

Not wanting to have wrenches flying your direction you do as you're told.

"So, wanna start?"

"And no guns for Primus' sake!"

You chuckle

"Alrighty Ratch!"

The bot infront of you turned to stand in a fighting position, fists raised to the height of his chest.

Game on.

He went for a frontal attack, which your easily dodged by ducking and turning to the side.

You counter with a light blow to his side, making him stumble.

"Are you even trying? Or am I just too good to-"

And that sentence of his was cut right off as you went forward, ducked again and kicked his pedes away, making him fall right onto his face, taking a box down with him.

"I needed that!", Ratchet yelled furiously.

"Ow"

"I may be a medic, but I surely know how to fight. Next time you underestimate me I won't go so easy on you."

"Ha, they busted you Smoky!", Miko laughed, pointing at the red blue and white colored bot, who was now slowly standing up, rubbing his helm in pain.

"And they surely got that sass from old Ratchet..", Smokescreen mumbled under his breath.

A wrench came flying his way from across the hall, which you catched easily right after your sensors detected it.

"And I got mad reflexes so better watch out from now on."

"Okay, let me get this straight.", Miko spoke up again. "They busted your metal ass AND saved you. Damn, you're so in their debt!"

The she comes to a complete halt, holding onto the railing while looking directly at the Smokescreen, her eyes wide.

"You were trying to impress them!", she exclaimed, jumping once and pointing at Smokescreen.

"Smoky is in love, Smoky is in love!", she declared, jumping around excitedly.

"WHAT?!", you and the mostly silver bot said simultaneously, exchanging a rather flustered look.

"Oooh and they love you too. Robot romance yayy"

"Miko...", Bulkhead reprimanded her.

"Whaat? It's true Bulk! They're in love!", she said, gesturing wildly towards the two of you while looking up at her guardian.

"We've got two lovebirds.", she explained proudly, hands on her hips now.

Ratchet raised an optic ridge, looking between you and a now very flustered Smokescreen.

"Well finally it's official. I can't stand you two pining for each other any longer.", the medic said, rolling his optics, going right back to work afterwards.

Indignant, you finally turn to speak.

"And what makes you ALL think that we're in love?!"

"Oh please, I've seen the way you look at eachother. And you would NEVER accept to a fight like this.", Arcee mentioned, arms crossed over her chassis.

"I could not help but notice a tension you two hold.", Optimus adds, who had been silently watching until now.

"Not you too Prime..."

You clear your throat.

"Yeah sure whatever..."

While cleaning up the mess you two created, you made sure not to look at Smokescreen, who couldn't take his optics off of you.

Sure, he was cute and you mayyyybee caught feelings, but it couldn't have been THAT obvious. Right?!

"You fight pretty good for a medic."

You shoot a glare at him.

"I mean, you fight really good.", he corrected himself. "No more making fun of medics, I know."

You chuckle, nudging his side. "You're not too bad yourself Smokey."

His helm turns toward you.

"What? I won, so you're Smokey from now on."

"I love you!", he blurted out, covering his intake with both servos immediately after.

You laugh, placing a servo on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, the feeling's mutual."

You two stand up straight and you put the now tidy box on top of a counter.

"Who are we kidding? Even Miko figured something was up. Might as well indulge and make it official, don't you think?"

The bot nods. "Yeah, you're right."

"I know I am, better get used to it."

"Pff"

A/N: gods, I just love side characters. tbh, I’m mostly just projecting myself and my imaginations on that (but which writer didn't do that at least once) XD

tags/warnings: reader is tanaka’s brother (could also be adopted) & a dancer, set in season 2 episode 19, Miyagi Spring Qualifier Quarterfinals (at least that's what fandom wiki says, I hope that it's right)

Hey, lovebirds

It was a match from the Miyagi Spring Qualifier Quarterfinals - Aoba Johsai and Date Tech were playing - and the second set with a two-point-lead by Seijou. The third-grades of Date Tech just came running on the bleachers. 

“What’s the score?” They arrived at the rail and looked down at the still ongoing game. “Oh damn. Who won the first set?” 

“Ehm”, a voice came from behind them. It was the captain of Karasuno with his whole team. “Seijo won the first one.” 

“What, Karasuno?!”, Moniwa said, “Oh, hello. Good to see you.” They greeted each other and of course, Sasaya immediately had to restrain the former vice Kamasaki. That’s when they were noticed by other members of their school that they joined. 

The game went on with the third-grades as well as Karasuno tensely watching. After a few other points another person came running on the bleachers and immediately towards the rails to look at the score. 

Tanaka saw who it was and looked behind him to see his sister calmly stroll towards them. 

“Hey!” When you heard his voice you immediately turned around and faced him. 

“Oh, hey Ryu”, you grinned when you saw your brother sitting there with his usual attitude and rebellious grin. He informed you about the winner of the first set and then noticed the questioning looks of his teammates except for a few of them - especially Noya who had met you several times before already because of their friendship.

“Ugh, guys, this is my brother, (Y/N).” 

You chuckled, “Hi, nice to meet you. Is it so bothersome to introduce me?” The question was directed at your brother. 

“Huh, yeah, yeah, actually it is”, he answered grinning. It was usual for you two to bug each other like that. That’s also when your older sister Saeko arrived. “Oh, come on boys!” She tried to throw her arm around you to get you in her side-clasps but you were already trained and easily ducked away. 

Fortunately for you, the third-graders of Date saw and waved at you so you could scurry to them.

“Why have we never seen him at games before?”, Yamaguchi asked curiously. 

“Because he also has training most of the time.” 

“Oh, does he play volleyball too?”, Hinata spoke excitedly. You weren’t really tall, just like him, so he was really interested if you were a player as well. But Ryu and Saeko laughed a little. 

“Nah, look at his bag”, Ryu pointed at you standing next to Moniwa at the rails. It was a sports bag and shoes were hanging on the side of it. Which was noticeable is that it wasn’t only one pair but three different ones - two of which most of the boys haven’t seen anything about before. “He’s a dancer.” 

“Ahhhh”

“Ok, but why is he standing here now and talking to Date’s former captain?”

Now Tanaka began to scowl and Sakeo chuckled as she sat down. “Because Aone is his boyfriend”, the young woman answered. 

Many of their glances quickly went from you to the mentioned player and back again. “Reallyyyy?!”, Hinata was wide eyed looking down at the middle blocker before grinning, “Cooool!”

Daichi and Suga chuckled when they saw Ryu’s expression. “Why are you scowling?”, Daichi asked while still grinning. “Do you not like Aone?”, Suga continued. 

“He’s super protective of (Y/N)!” Noya saw his chance and took it. 

“Aone is.. alright, I guess”, Tanaka mumbled. The others kept on bugging him a bit but quickly turned back to the game that will decide who would be their next opponent. 

Meanwhile you were standing on the rail and watching closely while occasionally cheering your boyfriend on. He had noticed you already and you could’ve sworn that he had smiled a little bit. 

The game was really exciting and in the end Seijou won. You saw the third years’ shoulders slump down and them letting their heads hang. You sighed and let your head hang too. 

When Date’s team quickly came to stand in front of the bleachers you made eye contact with Taka giving him a comforting smile. Then you signaled him to meet you outside in the halls. You turned around to go meet him. But before you went down you shortly hugged your sister and gave your brother a light slap on the head - which he tried to return but you could duck away - to say goodbye for the day. You’d be driving back in Date Tech’s team bus and staying at Aone’s for the night. 

You went towards each other and let the others go past you both before you hugged him tightly. “You okay?”, you looked up at him with your arms still around each other and let your chin rest on his chest. The height difference between you two was kinda funny.

He gave you a little nod but he was still wearing that sad frown. 

“You were great.” This made a soft look appear in his eyes that possibly only you came to see and know what it meant. 

“Hey, lovebirds”, you heard Futakuchi shouting, “Come on, you can make out later. We’re gonna go to the bus now.” Aone’s team mates laughed. You stuck out your tongue towards them but let go of your boyfriend. 

While you went to follow the team Takanobou linked your pinkies like he often did when you walked together. 

On the bus you sat next to each other and Aone let his head rest on yours that you had placed on his shoulder. You took his hand intertwining your fingers and rested on your lap. The bus was rather quiet - exhaustion and sadness because of the lost game were the primary feelings. Your boyfriend let out another sigh. 

“Hey, Taka?”, you whispered with your eyes closed. You felt the rumble from his body as he let out a low “Mh?”.

“You’re free from training tomorrow, right?”

“Mhm.” 

“You wanna go somewhere then? I also got nothing tomorrow.”

“Mhm. Decide tomorrow?”, his voice was so low it send a wave of goosebumps over your skin. 

“Mhm.” You felt yourself doze off - your training and the excitement to make it to the game had taken a lot of energy from you too. Soon everyone except for the adults was sleeping. 

When you arrived your boyfriend shook you awake gently. 

“Hey, (Y/N)”, his voice was still hushed and even a little deeper than earlier. 

On the way to his mom’s car, who was so nice to pick you both up from school, your arm found his place around his middle while he placed his on your shoulders. 

After eating you both went upstairs to his room to get ready for bed. Aone laid down on top of his blankets and got out his phone while you still searched through his closet for one of his hoodies. You quickly changed into it after finally finding what you searched for and flopped down on top of your boyfriend. 

“Oof”, he played as if you were heavy enough to crush his brick of a body in any way. 

You chuckled and kissed his cheek. A smile that only you got to see appeared on his lips. 

His hand went to cup your cheek to pull you closer and kiss you properly. You sighed happily and let yourself fall into the kiss. 

After you parted, you snuggled close to him and placed your head in the crook of his neck. That way you fell asleep like many times before already.

chapter 9: Aoba Johsai

“Tōru! Hajime!” you shouted and hugged them both as you met them at the school gates. 

Up until now, it had been only Issei, Takahiro and you. Finally as highschoolers, you were all five to attend Seijoh. You were so excited to be able to see them all every day now. You discovered you’d be in the same class as both Oikawa and Iwaizumi too, Mattsun and Makki still together in another. You’d all meet at the end of the day at one of the gymnasiums, for Iwaizumi and Oikawa were to be part of the boy’s volleyball team, and Makki and Mattsun were going to try out. 

You were aware that Oikawa was rather popular in his middle school, both through Iwaizumi’s complaints and Oikawa’s own boasting. This attention would only seem to grow now in high school. You saw girls approaching him in the school hallways, waiting for him outside of the gym. You look over it all with curiosity but not much fazed. That was, until a group of them approached you. 

“Are you Oikawa’s girlfriend?”

“What?” The question took you by surprise, your locker door slipping from your hand and slamming shut with a loud bang. 

“I told you she has to be! Look! They even wear matching bracelets.” Actually, the five of you had friendship bracelets. 

“I’m not his girlfriend.” You managed to cut in, effectively getting their attention back on track. 

“You’re not?” She looked happy, but there was surprise in her tone too. “And you don’t like him?” 

You tilted your head. Actually thinking about it now, you’d never thought of Oikawa that way. You weren’t stupid, you were aware that Oikawa was very good looking and overall a great boy. Like the rest of your friends. You blushed after their talk got to you, and even though it was just for a small moment, pictured yourself dating either of them. You shook your head.  

“He probably doesn’t like you either.” Said another and you frowned. Damn weren’t they ruthless. “I mean, you’ve known each other for some time and he hasn’t said anything, right?” 

You pondered again. 

And yeah, she had a point.  

“Does that mean we can share him?” Said the first girl, excited.  “Uh… Yeah.” Whatever that meant. They bid you goodbye and went away happy with the agreement. Iwaizumi had said it better. Those girls didn’t even know him and glorified him, regarding him as some prince charming (not to deny his charm). He was just a nerd that loved volleyball.

Okay so I have been on a WHIRLWIND of enjoying your Stonbotnik fic content and I wanted to share with you something that was really funny/elating!

So I stumbled upon your Coffee and Mayhem series because AO3 was down for matainence. So I was scouring FanFiction.net and found your works and stayed up until 7am just reading through the whole night.

And I loved the universe so much and was so sad to see that there was like- no COMMENTS OR LIKES?? For such an amazing literary masterpiece?? And I was yapping about it so much to my partner. I decided to reup my Tumblr to help my Stonbotnik addiction and then saw fanart from your fics I just read and I’m like- oh I am glad others read it too!

Then I proceed to find your AO3 tagged and OH BOY THERE ARE MORE PARTS TO THE SERIES AND ALSO YOU HAVE SO MANY DESERVED COMMENTS AND KUDOS TOO AAAA

I feel like a giddy kid on Christmas. I am giggling and kicking my feet to see that there is more. To my knowledge, you hadnt written since 2022. Last up on FF is Paris. I cant wait to see what else our boys get into.

That's actually really awesome, and I'm glad you found my AO3! Because as you noticed, FF.net was... well. It was kind of disheartening to post over there, and never get any feedback. Plus at some point I started getting these weird spam PMs which offered to draw art for my fics without even mentioning which fic, which seemed hella suspicious. So I like... left. It's still there, but I am hesitant to upload new stuff on it.

So AO3 is my go to now! =D

It is very sweet that you went such a long way to find my fics again, that warms my heart. It's still funny to me that the entire series started with one fic that I wrote just for shits and giggles, but the feedback was so great I kind of wrote a damn book for it XD

Over on AO (and on here on tumblr) you will find lots of Stobotnik fans, I can assure you that. The "Stobotnik nation" is super kind and very giving when it comes to praise and comments (that's the mountain I was talking about, love it!) I blame their support for the fact that Coffee and Mayhem spiraled so out of my control, but I'm not complaining!

It's been a while now, but it was from that tag game of how you got into loz. This one wont be that long tho (I hope) XDSJADH.

I bought my switch in 2017 (bro is so tired in 2025 I feel bad for them omg), but not in March cause I had to study, so I bought it in June, AND OMG IT WAS ALWAYS SOLD OUT, so you can imagine.

Classic 14 year old excited to get the new nintendo but gets to the store and there's no switch in sight. And it was like that for a whole week. I would go to the store at 10am when they just opened and the lady would tell me they're sold out.

BUT, one of those days (I think by the 6th day going there the lady just knew who i was lol 💀) I went asking for a switch like a victorian child dirty from soot begging for bread for the 34899845th time, and she told me "okay, come this thursday at 10 and I'll save one for you when we restock, so when you come you can get it" cause the truck with all the store's restock would come that thursday, and omg I got too excited.

So I went to the store again that thursday and she was there, asked for the console and gave it to me, and I said thanks like 93579375 times XD. And oh boy, I even cried when I placed it on the shopping cart, I was so happy seeing it in the damn cart and knowing I could play with it that very same day, I waited for so long and saved a lot of money to buy it and I was just too happy hahaha!!! My mom told me I looked silly but I didn't care ngl, I wanted that new nintendo so bad. So badly that I didn't even realized what games were out for the switch to play XDDKSJA.

So then I looked over the videogame section and made the great decision of buying the new Zelda game which I didn't know if I was gonna like or not (I did). And 1, 2 switch (which is really boring if you're an only child and don't have friends to play with lol).

I also remember getting home and unboxing it, it felt so weird, the joycons were so different from the Wii remotes, and I will always remember being pissed off because the menu didn't have music/camera/flipnote studio/silly menu games/THEMES, I'm still mad to this day lol, I hate the switch in general, love the games but the console? Boring. The 3DS is the superior console. But yeah, turning it on and plugging the joycons in was really epic atm, I was just :O the whole time XDDSALJH. It's been 8 years almost omg. 💀

So yeah, that was my switch story :·3, it could've been shorter but my professional yapper ahh can't shut up so I made it longer

Reading TGCF: Chapter Two

For those who don't know, I am reading TGCF for the first time and sharing my thoughts!

If you have not read it, there will be spoilers! Consider this a warning.

Today's tea: Masala Chai!

I am so excited my ink replacement came in for my pen so I can finally use the fancy boy again. The last two chapters have been gel pen and it just isn't the same.

Knowing this though- ignore all of the ink smudges XD I got too eager with the new ink and it is a mess LOL

Let's get into chapter two!

I was nervous that for some reason this chapter was going to be a POV switch or something BUT no! Fuck yeah let's get into the bride eating monster quest! p47

okay but the fact that out of 1000's of weddings only 17ish brides went missing makes me think that these brides didn't want to get married and opted out voluntarily. p 47

Xie Lian definitely: thank fuck these two are at least competent. p48

Honestly I am convinced that his weird way of doing things RE: sleeping in the bushes, was part of what led to the happenstance of his ascensions. Like this guy taking the untraveled path just caused him to bump into things that got him merits. p50 (my running theory at least).

Mu Qing is SO dramatic, "But when Mu Qing saw that his statues had been hideously sculpted, he would either secretly destroy them and make people start over, or appear in dreams to express his displeasure. This went on for a long time until the grand believers learned that they had to find an artisan master who could sculpt beautifully" p51

This temple feels off. Like what is going on with this woman with the torn skirt. pp54-55

RIP Nan Feng's social skills p55

omg. This poor guy just wants to sincerely help her with her skirt situation but she (rightfully given the circumstances, girl same, i'd choose the bear in this scenario) thinks the half-naked Xie Lian is a freak about to do horrible shit to her. p55

Nan Feng & Fu Yao seeing Xie Lian's wrecked torso: omg who did you fight???? Xie Lian: the wind lol p56

oh shit and he has a mark of the cursed shackle? (I'm assuming his neck? or are there more because he was banished more than once??). p57

By lol. This is so silly. Now I know why the chapter was titled "Tremendous Masculinity". This is so embarrassing, what an oops. p59

When I was reading this part I thought that the "sin" was the altar in the temple breaking when Nan Feng and Fu Yao were fighting but NOPE, Xie Lian is over here like "damn. That was a perfectly good steamed bun that landed on the floor". p62

okay okay okay! I take back my previous belief that the brides were willingly leaving because HOLY SHIT girl's HEAD just fell off!!!!! 65

This chapter was too short!

I wanted to get into the bride snatching but we had a temple side side quest. This is fine, because now we have an actual monster a foot, but now it means I have to wait until TOMORROW to read about it.

Then vs Now

Let me see if I remember... Yaya left her Orphanage when she turned 18 and went out into the wild world as an adventurer to make a living. She stayed in Ishgard for a while during that time. (Because I didn't have money to continue on for a bit after Stormblood dropped so this is as far in the beginning as you guys are gonna get XD)

Now:

Now she's the most well-known hero in all of Eorzea. The Warrior of Light AND Darkness. She's also married to the two most amazing people in the world, and a mom of two with another on the way. She's also actually kind of retired. XS She did go on vacation to Tural with everybody else though.
