#yeah this game has fully grabbed me by the balls#i have not spent any money though comrades i promise 🫡#i Really hope they increase the time for the events though thats my biggest concern with the gacha rn#like a gacha is a gacha its not gonna get better in terms of money or trying to entice players#HOWEVER i do think increasing the time for them would be nice...#like once you get through the main story and youve been through most of the current world#earning diamonds is hard :')#and considering they have multiple events going on PLUS earning recolors through More gacha like bro....#i feel like theres a balance in gacha with enticing players but not overwhelming them either#and rn i think this game could Very Easily teeter into overwhelming players#like ive accepted that im probably not going to get any recolors for limited events unless they come back#and when so many of the outfits have up to 4 recolors! bad!!#idkidk its still very new but its not like they dont have experience with gacha this is like the what 4th or fifth game#sixth... maybe...#i lost count aljhgd#Anyway im just saying as someone who spent a lot of time playing love and shining nikki f2p as an easily enticed teen too#i never felt this rushed by the gacha in either game#and that was with events that had 4+ special outfits too#for all intents and purposes these current limited time ones have One special outfit (tech two but the 4 star barely counts)#and im already going eeeeeeeeeeeeee#like i fully wouldnt be able to do both the fairy and the butterfly outfit#i probably wouldnt have completed the fairy one if i was trying to pull for the butterfly one too#ANYWAY i just hope they make it at least a Little easier for free players lol#its a gacha game so no hope but ive never had such a hard time with the gacha in the other games so... small hope......

they rlly drained me for this one bc i got sunday at around 78th pull, then the standard lc at around 68th pull.
we will still ball though!!! i'll just slowly grind for his lc bc i don't wanna spend more than i budgeted (i have a legit huge expense coming my way soon 💀💀💀). there's still time, next one is guaranteed to be his lightcone. so it won't be a repeat of that fucking gen/shin donut incident. 🫡🫡🫡
im actually so afraid to continue pena/cony story quest bc even without that he alr hit bullseye on my preferences, it's insane. judging from the summary cyl gave me, im abt to be more ill for him. last time i was ill enough to spend money to pull for both chara & lc, it was for jing/liu, so yeah.
on the brighter & more positive side of things! life could be worse! hiba/ri kyo/ya could've been a limited 5* character in an alive & thriving mi/hoyo-like gacha game! even i don't know hm i would whale for that mf if that happens. would highly likely e6s5/c6r5, then i rlly will be having some delicious ice soup this december. i'll then have the text "one copy of hib/ari ky/oya, for each dying will of the sky flame type" in my game profile. why am i even imagining this so vividly.
when the k/hr mobage was still running, i actually got both of his present & tyl units thru f2p grind lmao (un?)fortunately only started to play at the late stages of its lifespan, so i didn't get too addicted to it, but it's for the better.

ok so i got mavuika on both main and f2p, built and tried her in different teams and i think we are finally free from xiangling!
im gonna write first about sub dps off-field role bc this is why i got her. here is my build on support set with free craftable weapon, c0

on this kinda mid built her skill does 12k per tick on talent level 6, with no reactions and only cinder city buff. and you should always have that, bc shes on tinder cinder herself lmao. so its like 80k per skill duration, which is less than xiangling on damage build. BUT her burst even on support set and without reactions did 100k, on talent level 6. on vape it does like 180k. so her skill plus her burst is actually as much as damage build xiangling
but the thing is, its not even correct comparison. bc i got these numbers in kinich team, and in kinich team my damage build xiangling simply does NOT get her burst back off field. and i have pretty great xiangling - top 5% on akasha with engulfing lightning and benny on 260 ER. to have XL burst consistently in kinich team she needs like 280-300ER, and at that point shes not doing great damage anyway. AND mavuika buffs herself and your carry for 40% damage bonus with cinder city
another team i was dying to replace xiangling in was clorinde overload, bc xiangling also doesnt get her burst back reliably. so i tried clorinde chevreusse fischl mavuika and it worked great, AND mavuika got her burst back every rotation with no natlan supports. yeah, not for full 200 points, but she still hit for 100k and for sub dps i think thats more than enough
i also tried her in kind of dual dps team with ayato and it was pretty decent. even as sub dps if you have option you want to vape or melt her burst bc it has insane multipliers
i dont have mualani or rizzley, but ive seen videos that she does work with them too.
as main dps, she does not work without natlan support like xilonen or citlali. kachina is not enough. she can work with ororon in overload teams like the one in her trial, but as main dps mavuika is really nuke oriented, bc she has huge multipliers, but only 7 seconds of damage window. she only burns nightsoul points on skill cast once, so obsidian artifact set will only be active for 6 seconds, and then your crit rate drops for 40%. so you really really want to melt or at least vape her burst and first few charge attacks

boredom post lol, just dumping my thoughts into the void of what id like to see be added in whb but probably will never happen 🫠
1. separation of character and artifact banners
pretty self-explanatory. w the roster being huge and it only increasing from here there needs to be a distinction btwn characters and artifacts. im sure many ppl atp have gotten tired of the false hope they get when they get the gold glow from one of the kings at the beginning only to find out that its just one of his sig 💀💀
1.1 for patches w 2 l-rank debuts, have the selector work even before you hit pity
i get having the selector for if you reach hard pity, but its a bit greedy for it to apply only when you wasted so many seals (esp when f2ps dont get as much seals as they should). i would like the chance of knowing im guaranteed that char from the beginning even when i get the char early
1.2 if there exists an artifact banner, let there be a selector for which one you want to pull for
same logic as prev points. the rosters getting huge and ideally id like to have smth guaranteed for when i do my pulls
2. update characters' skill descriptions to be more specific
theres too many "[dmg/healing] is proportional to [some stat]." i want to see what that actual proportion is, like "dmg is proportional to x% of stat" where x is some number. or in skill menus theres "increase passive effect" like just tell me what youre specifically increasing in the passive !!!! i shouldnt need to actually lvl the passive to figure out whats changing, it should be stated from the get-go
3. have someone at the very least proofread the text
now i've seen my fair share of typos in games, hell, i literally play one where they couldnt even spell their own game name properly during the earlier yrs of its release lol *cough pgr cough*, but for the most part theyve resolved that issue and simple typos are easily spotted and fixed, but ive never seen there be this many typos or language switches mid-sentence. literally just 1 thorough proofread couldve easily solved most of these grammatical issues.
4. better optimization

im sorry but this is getting to like hoyo lvls of optimization w the fact that whb, which just hit half anni a month ago, is getting close to the amnt of storage an almost 3 yr old game has is wild to me (completely disregarding the fact that pgr has 3d models, l2d cgs, etc). imo, the amnt of storage whb holds should be around or even lower than what neural cloud has (which mind you, also has 3d models and l2d art 😭😭)
incoming very weird comparison but vanilla minecraft, a game that gets regularly updated, both on pc and pe take less than 1 gb
literally improving the optimization would make the game more accessible i.e. get more players to play since it wont take up a lot of storage !!! as someone who used to have 64gb or less on my phone, i could barely play any games on it bc nowadays they unnecessarily take up so much storage
5. add more daily/weekly tasks
keep the 9 daily requirements and 32 weekly requirements the same, just give more tasks for each so that we arent strictly set on doing specific ones. id like to see more stuff like "battle any stage x amnt of times" (emphasis on any, not a specific stage) or "interact w the lobby character at least once," just really anything that doesnt involve investing in a character or artifact. i feel like im wasting resources from lvling chars i dont wanna lvl, + we dont get enough tears per week to properly invest in so many characters at once.
giving more breathing room to hit the 9 and 32 achievements would put less stress on me cause then i'll know that if i cant complete one task, i can just do another and still be able to get all the rewards obtained for the week. im sure a fair share of ppl atp have missed out on getting all the weekly rewards bc they accidentally missed 1 daily task which is painful
5.1. get rid of the lvling artifacts weekly requirement and lvling characters requirement
briefly mentioned it prev but wanted to make its own section. its useless, especially when i ald have the artifacts that i need lvled up. its a dumb requirement that makes me waste mats and pulls just so i could lvl some artifacts properly.
6. get rid of the rng boxes and make them selectors
5.2 increase the daily/weekly rewards
dailies (w pancake shop): 9 tears, 7 key boxes (rng)
weeklies: 4 tears, 5 red keys, 2 yellow keys, 50 seals
i dont think i need to explain much here thats like scraping the bottom of a barrel for important mats/gacha currency
they suck. i do not want resources to be gacha too
7. make all shops cheaper
self-explanatory. everything is too expensive (esp in red gems shop) and therefore is borderline inaccessible unless if you hoard mats or 💳
7.1 add the ability to convert red gems to seals
red gems have very little use now ever since seals were introduced. id like them to have some important use if we keep getting a certain amnt of them every week. we can covert them to red/yellow keys, so by that logic we should also be able to convert them to seals too
8. get rid of uncommon/useless currencies
pretzels, artifact enhancement stones, and blue guilty gems are the 3 that come to mind. ik pretzels were originally supposed to be from the friends system, but that was removed a bit after launch and still hasnt showed up despite pb promising itd be launched around this time. aside from that the other 2 serve little to no use, as artifact stones dont lvl up the artifact all that much and blue gems died when seals became a thing
9. auto-clear for story stages
i mean that after getting a perfect clear on a stage, then have auto-clear be an option. since candy boxes are farmable through story, i end up falling asleep or getting bored of having to sit through fighting the same stage like 20+ times a day. this is honestly one of the more nit picky ones in this list lol, i just play the stages in the bg while i do other stuff but ideally id like to get stuff done asap
10. make lvling characters cheaper
we only get 13 tears a week from dailies + weeklies + pancake shop. assuming you start from scratch and want to get to char lvl70, it takes 3 weeks to get there without the help from other shops. thats almost a month for 1 character, it shouldnt take that long to invest in someone (it also shouldnt be that expensive 💀)
if we're getting such low numbers of essential materials per week, decrease the character lvl prices to reflect that. or alternatively, increase the number of mats we get per week to easily lvl characters
10.1 increase the character lvl cap to 100
40 tears for one level is not worth it, having the cap be 100 would make it feel like its worth it (not really tbh, its still real expensive when lvl70 provides more than enough to clear all content 💀)
10.2 add a resource stage for pies
getting pies only through shop (rng boxes btw) and events isnt enough to compensate for how much skill lvls cost. either decrease the skill lvl prices or increase the pie income to balance it out
11. have the ability to backread txt msgs before choosing a reply
self-explanatory. the game doesnt allow you to backread before choosing a reply which sucks :/
as someone who usually cant process txt after reading it once i kinda just sit at the replies like :/ girl i forgor what he just said and i cant go back and read so i'll just leave and re-enter the chatroom again ig
12. have the game automatically lock l-rank artifacts as soon as you get them
ik theres a lock feature, but you need to lock all artifacts manually. id rather the game lock l-rank artifacts for me once i get them so that i dont accidentally recycle them when cleaning out my inventory and then i manually unlock them later if i want to
13. give seals, keys, or just any sort of general gacha currency as compensation rewards
receiving only ap feels like a slap to the face, and seals/any other currency would only be given out if there was smth that was severely (and i mean very severely) hindering everyones gameplay. the ap given isnt even that much either which is like rubbing salt in the wound
14. decrease ap requirement in stages
considering stages can go up to 32ap as a req (given this is only seen in events, the usual hovers around 25 but my point still stands), you cant really do all that much if the cap hovers around 250 (give or take, i havent seen anyone w 300ap yet so 250 im considering is the avg rn for endgame players). w each stage at highest difficulty being 25-30+ap, we essentially only play like 10 stages max before needing to wait.
1 solution ppl would have in mind is to just buy the 300ap from red gems shop or buy more ap from selecting the ap counter directly to get more for the day, but i want smth thats more accessible. i shouldnt need to pay w some currency to get literally the bare necessity of being able to play this game.
i think keeping all stages at 15ap is perfect, hell, even 20 would also work since w 250ap you can get more than 10 runs in one session
15. make the battles less reliant on needing certain l-ranks
this is just smth ive noticed when testing out stages w other chars or just playing realm of seraphim lol, but theres a huge imbalance w l-ranks vs s and a+-ranks. theres also a huge imbalance when it comes to the classes too (i'll get to that in a bit)
take beel's camp for example, there is no one in beels camp that can essentially mimic or closely mimic what beel does kit-wise (dmg ik will be different cause lower ranking and all). imo, the go-to non-l-rank alternative for beel isnt even from his camp, its from belphegors !!!! (if you didnt catch on im talking abt andrealphus lol)
or take mammon for example, no one in his camp (as of making this post) deals dmg on ult, they only either shield themselves or take the hit for ppl on the team, which tends to do more harm than good.
element-wise, take juno for example. juno being an l-rank fire unit significantly changed how fire team worked, i.e., you can actually use that team to clear most story content now (minus water enemies lol). that should probably put into perspective of 1. how l-ranks are a bit too important in this game and 2. how unbalanced light as an element is compared to every other element
15.1 give us more tanks and healers

why do we have so many close-rangers??? so many marksman????
we have such little supports (tanks + healers) that it makes me fully convinced the gameplay pb wants to achieve is full on dps and not yk a well-balanced team w dps AND support. dont get me wrong if players want to full on dps that is totally fine by me, the issue im having is that the devs appear to want a full on dps team, completely ignoring the idea of how to properly balance a game where they also introduce supports. of course there are marksman/close-rangers that can support i.e. buff the team (juno, dantalian, ronové, phenix, the list of examples goes on), but im specifically talking abt the classes in general. for the most part, marksman and close-rangers are usually dps while tanks and healers are usually support.
if youre gonna introduce supports in this game, 1. have more than just 1 tank unit for each non-light element, 2. make the healing be higher than 1% of a char's hp, 3. have an equal amnt of tanks and healers as close-rangers and marksman.
the fact that if you dont have mammon as your designated tank or lucifer as your designated healer, youre essentially screwed over is wild to me. their camps' s/a+-ranks should be able to hold just as well without their kings. satans camp is the perfect example of that. chars like minhyeok (who is quite literally mini satan kit-wise lmao), gabriel, leraye, nostalgia leraye, hell even ppyong (the a+-rank ver, not juno lol) are all perfect alternatives for if you dont have satan and that is amazing. we currently dont have that for supports and i genuinely hope thatll change in the future
this game is very, VERY far from being at least somewhat balanced in my eyes. i really do wish for the best w this game but man as someone who loves to dissect gameplay down to the numbers, seeing all this gets real frustrating for me from time to time.

In this essay, i will explain the reasons why sky children of the light has become an increasingly unwelcoming game to new players and veterans alike-
Yeah yeah i usually only share my words here but tumblr feels like a really comfy place for me to share unfiltered thoughts and i needed somewhere to vent ig (skip if you have no idea what I'm talking about)
When I first started playing in prophecy, sky was a really fun game. We didn't have the request for a guide function then and I'm actually really grateful for it because the joy was in exploring each of the different realms and season areas on my own and randomly stumbling across spirits whose stories were waiting for me to discover. Maybe it was because I was a dumb moth - i didn't even know how to access seasonal spirits trees - but the pressure to cr just wasn't as intense as it is for moths today. The back to back seasons and "days of" events seem to have sucked the fun of exploring the world of sky for moths because they're so focused on grinding for candles/hearts/event currency that they just dont slow to smell the in-game roses anymore. And the thing is I get it because there's just so many new cosmetics as well as older ones from past seasons and events to farm for.
I mean sure you don't have to collect every cosmetic but 1 cape costs like 70 candles on average, same for a pair of pants iirc, a prop/acessory at 40-70 candles (70 if its an instrument??) , and hair at around 40-50 candles; and the best part is you can only earn 20-21 candles max in 1 reset ��� Add all of that plus the need to look for event currency in fear of facing such prices in the event rerun and you get stressed out moths facing existential crises every 2 weeks when ts arrives😀 Sorry moths, the economy is bad irl and just as bad in sky.
And what of the veterans? Yeah, well, we get no friends as everyone starts to quit the game and those that stay live off copium revisiting the places we once visited with friends- Or maybe that's just me
New friends, you say? *cue flashback to moths begging for help with cr* we exchanged like maybe 5 sentences max at chat benches🥲 i have nothing against helping out but it does make it difficult to form a bond when they disappear right after and you fade into their constellation of ubers
And then we have the seasons.
... Honestly the only season that made an impression with me after aurora was the recently concluded season of the 9 coloured deer, which was also another collab season💀
I actually had to check the sky wiki for this:
Remembrance - ironically very forgettable. What was the story again? Was it the one with the group of spirits living in one specific hole in vault like why- vault is bigger than that sad hole- OH THE PLUSHIES okay maybe this one was passable... im trying okay
Passage - ??? Havent finished this season's quests so uh- so far it seems like... a cult..? In isle...?
Moments - if they wanted a camera in-game, they could have just added it to like the days of sunlight event (the camping one) or smtg. They did not have to force a season for a camera💀 imho the camera was the only thing worth mentioning abt this season and i don't even take pictures
Revival - i suppose aviary is pretty and it's nice that the spirits have somewhere to stay now. Not particularly impressed. Don't really remember the story in this one.
...i heard rumours of a furniture season after the 9 coloured deer. Looking forward to hearing what they'll name this one lmao
The quality of "days of" events is still acceptable to me. Just maybe ignore the numerous iaps and the fact that we have multiple umbrellas but only 1 is f2p (don't understand whats up w that btw)
And also the recurring bugs💀 I've been playing for at least 3 years and I've faced these bugs/problems multiple times:
1. Unable to light frends constellations because the screen just yeets itself into oblivion or some random environment feature where i cant press the button
2. Game crashes (after every update istg-)
3. Splitting servers
4. Sky discrimination and gate keeping, aka refusing to let me open the game
5. Being unable to collect currency/dailies (it's not my internet i checked)
The lack of compensation is another matter entirely
I don't know man I'm tired. The only reason why I still have it installed is because it's my only link to the people I used to have fun and relax with. Not everyone has discord or insta or some other social media.

Tldr:
The sky economy is bad. For everyone. Moths (and maybe even vets) are stressed out and vets are losing friends. The seasons are increasingly dull and the long-lived bugs are frustrating.

So I don’t wanna be a downer but I’m speaking as someone who has actually e6’d multiple units (and c6’d a few genshin characters): always prepare for the worst case scenario. 700 wishes is definitely doable but only if you get a 5 star at/before soft pity every time and win around half of your 50/50s.
There’s also the light cone banner to consider: are you pulling s1? Add another 130-160 wishes. Don’t count on the 75/25.
For example: my e6s1 imbibitor lunae cost me $700 on top of the 235 ish pulls I had saved (+guarantee on e0 and LC banner win at soft pity). It was about 595 wishes in total which is incredibly lucky. E6s1 Acheron was about double that. Which is about middle of the road. Max dollar amount you’re looking at is ~$2k ish.
I don’t say all this to dissuade you, but as someone who has spent the money I just think it’s important to be realistic and remember that even with luck you’re still probably going to be spending several hundred dollars to e6 a character unless you save for at least 8 patches (how long it takes to accumulate about 700 f2p pulls). I hope it goes well and you’re able to get your e6 Sunday but in this case please do not be misled into thinking it’s easier/cheaper than it is by someone who’s never actually e6’d a character (sorry for making an assumption but from their wording it sounds like other nonnie hasn’t).
700 wishes sounds fine and dandy in a vacuum but don’t ever count on luck in gacha or you’ll probably be disappointed. Anyways, gl with your saving and please spend responsibly!!! Pls let me know if you have any questions about e6ing!!!

and its okay i am insane but also broke so my plan to e6 sunday is overtime / through several patches!! though being honest i am unwell enough to spend several hundred during his first release !! i do appreciate the advice though but given my dogshit luck i am always betting on worst case scenario. my luck is unbelievably bad so i am never betting on it being on my side LOLLL
ironically it’s probably one of the reasons pulling on this game does not haunt me. im going to lose so i only pull if i Really Want A Character. still i think this is good advice for other people interested in e6ing and in general. the insight is appreciated

I researched a bit and added a few of my own tips for beginners, hope this helps! 🩷✨
Some tips I can share for beginners would be:
Send and accept friend requests: When going into battle you're able to use their cards. Some of those friends could have some really useful cards to use. I've had many instances where a card from a friend that I needed really helped.
Do not skip events: Many events can give you valuable resources and materials. These events may not give SSR Rank cards but they will give you an R Rank or SR Rank card if you participate in them. They give gems, thaumark and keys and other useful materials.
Save your gems: The game is playable in f2p and gives a normal amount of gems to do so, but do save your gems and don't waste them unless you really want or need a card. When it comes to Sam's shop there is a set that comes with 10 magical keys and is only 250 gems though it's only available once a month. By buying this set, it does save you a few gems. A normal 10 pull is 309 gems.
Team: When it comes to forming your team I recommend teaming them up based on the cards Duo Magic and Buddy Level. Train the cards that you would like, level them up and team them up based on Duo Magic/Buddy Level. The Characters give each other important boosts during battles based on their buddy level and could be a great help.
Lesson's: History lessons grant EXP that contributes to the cards level. The additional rewards are "Blooming Honey". Flight lessons grant EXP that contributes to the cards vignette level. The additional rewards are "Snacks". Alchemy lessons help increase the Buddy Level of cards, additional rewards are "Alchemy Tokens" and spell upgrades.
Card Ranks: Three different types of Rank cards. A R Rank card has a max level of 40 that can be extended to 60. A SR Rank card has a max level of 60 that can be extended to 80. A SSR Rank card has a max level of 80 that can be extended to 100.
When TWST allows you to pick a card to start the game, these are some beginner cards lots of people and I recommend (their info in there as well):
Riddle Dorm uniform – Highest ATK.
Leona Dorm Uniform – Highest HP.
Trey Dorm Uniform – High DEF and great healing.
Cater Ceremonial – His power boost is very good during the early game.
Rook Labwear – Decent HP and attack which helps beginners.

Card's: I recommend leveling and upgrading your cards one at a time. You want to upgrade all the cards or at least a few cards in each element. By doing this you can have a pretty big upper hand when doing battles because elementary bonuses play a pretty role in the game.
Tests: You should do these and try them as much as you do with the lessons. Unfortunately for me, I didn't know how much of a help doing these would have and didn't do them. Doing tests can give you interesting and good things when you get good results. They also help train your cards faster.

this is going to be a weird question but what makes lads so notably good? I don’t mean in a “woman media cringe I’m a misogynist” way, I mean in comparison to other otome games because this one in particular seems to have absolutely taken off even among people who don’t regularly play otome and you’ve played your fair share of games atp. are the guys just that good? is it more catered to women’s fantasies than other commercial otome? genuinely curious (asking as someone who has played a lot of commercial otome but never lads)
not weird at all!!! i think, at least from my point of view, the major factors are accessibility and the fomo aspect that comes from gacha games, plus the ongoing nature of an app
so like, here’s an example. im playing 9rip on my switch rn right? and when im done with it, like, that’s it. i can go back and replay routes if i want, im sure ill boot it up just to look at cgs lol but unless they release a fandisk or sequel, thats the end of the story.
but lads, the story is ongoing. you want to keep picking up bc there will always be something new. and by introducing limited cards/events, you’re encouraged to keep picking it up because they play on that fomo aspect. they want you to spend as much time as possible because then you’ll spend more money. there’s also a crazy amount of lore which again encourages you to spend money to get cards to learn more about the characters but at the same time it’s super interesting and draws you in.
and like i said it’s accessible. sure you need a good phone or tablet to run graphics perfectly but you don’t need a console, and the app itself is free and im sure there are many players who ARE f2p.
and you’re right about it catering to women’s fantasies. it definitely feels like a game made BY women FOR women. if you know what i mean? like the LIs are all green flags lol. all four are very sweet and caring and romantic in their own ways. like sylus blew up right, and i think it’s safe to assume a lot of players play just for him. and i think it’s because he is like, the evil leader of the underworld kind of character, but then is super soft and loving towards the mc. it’s so interactive btwn the texting and phone calls you can have with the LIs plus the first person thing makes it perfect for self-inserters. also the art is pretty lol
didn’t mean to write this much lmao but oh well. tldr it’s fun and the boys are cute and sweet so i love them. im still gay though

I keep getting on and off with starrail, not for a lack of trying but laat time i touched it i got my bones shattered bt the dr ratio quest and never tpuched it again...the level gap is So so unforgiving. But firefly is so so pretty dhe might draw me back...
😭 im so sorry I heard many complaints about the swarm boss and aventurine boss... they did nerf the story aventurine boss tho. here's some tips, do double sustain for those bosses (like one abundance and one preservation) it might take a little longer to beat but you wont die at least. If you're not doing enough damage, level up your dps' light cones more, maybe invest into their most important trace. and level up your relics, you dont need to go all the way to 15 that will eat up your resources. level 9 is fine, 12 if its a good relic, honestly I'm completely end game and a good chunk of my harmony supports are still level 70 or have level 9-12 relics theyre low priority aside from their buffs (like bronya and tingyun's skill & ult traces are important)
Also firefly is great and a very very good unit if you want to pull :-) works well with f2p harmony trailblazer, gallagher is great too and she can work with bronya if you dont have/want ruan mei, though the skill points might be tight in that team if you dont have e1s1 bronya

current build for aventurine, shifting to full 4pc knight AND penacony set (prev was 2pc knight/2pc duke + salsotto)(i use my lvl 1 arlan as my placeholder for relics 😭 sorry buddy)
crit ratio is 30/177, but based on new leaks i believe thats ok for now since apparently one of his traces makes his crit rate scale on his def stat which is CRAZY, which is also why i have his orb on def instead of imag dmg (i dont think an imag dmg orb would be worth it anyways since hes still a sustain first and sub dps second, and since all his attacks scale on def anyways it would probably be a negligible change in dmg output). as long as i can get at least 20% more crit rate just from his def stat ill be fine lol.
the boots are also 4 star spd! i have a couple 5 star def boots also leveled just in case but obv spd is super important, its just unfortunate that i dont have any knight spd boots for him with crit subs other than this one. still, its got some pretty bonkers rolls so im fine with using it for now, maybe in the future ill use a self modeling resin for some 5 star spd knight boots and if theyre not for aventurine i can just put them on march or pres trailblazer
i got super lucky with the planar ornaments! i was working so hard trying to get a good salsotto def rope for so long since i already had a salsotto imag dmg orb with good def% and crit rate subs, but one day i was looking at all the def ropes i had and found this penacony rope, 4 stack with crit subs, and it rolled so beautifully! its one of my best pieces tbh. so after that i switched to looking for a penacony orb and landed on this def orb! its not great but its not bad considering im f2p

my buddy convinced me to make an animal jam play wild account since it actually still gets proper updates and so far my feelings have been. mixed. overall i havent done nearly as much as anyone else bc my account has existed for maybeee 2 or 3 hours? so this is just my first impressions. im also kinda biased bc ive been playing animal jam classic for years and years and YEARS. back when 9 + 10 = 21 was still unironically funny and every cool kid in class read warriors. might update this post with extra thoughts as i go along! all opinions below the cut bc this is an absurdly long post
ive only played a few levels of overflow (and it might be because i played on expert because i Definitely have no overbearing hubris casting a shadow upon my better judgement) but the gem payout being higher than AJC for each level you complete is a very welcome change (2 gems times X number, seemingly determined by how long your path is, vs AJPWs i think it was like 5 gems times X number determined by how long your path is? either that or like 10. idk i blew a whole half hour on overflow alone and it was almost 6 AM by the time i finished so my brains kinda muddled)
also, membership has become far less of an overbearing nightmare monster for AJPW in comparison to AJC! thats a good thing! personally i think that membership just Shouldn't but thats because i think any monetarily-accessed subscription anythings just Shouldn't especially in this day and age. i got to go to the clothing store and buy things i liked and i didnt just have to longingly stare at the paywalled options like a maiden gazing out to sea and it felt great
dont like how theres so many fewer options for shopping for Like Everything but its a far more ambitious game than AJC what with everything being 3d modeled, and its got a younger target demo and theyre usually happy with whatever looks cool, so it checks out. haha. funny pun that was intended definitely. whats there is also pretty great and the den item options you get started off with are both way more cool and way more More than classic in its hayday. idk about the ajc starting den items now though i dug my old account from the ashes of who i once was when i decided to pick classic up again. i dont actually remember if you start with any den items in ajc now that i think about it i might be misremembering. that still means play wild has that point against classic though. shame theres no water animals but they could maybe possibly be added in an update pretty please wildworks if by some miracle youre reading this i am begging and pleadi
really my main issue so far is with how many things cost real-world money. theres next to nothing that requires a membership to even be bought aside from one members-only map location my buddy warned me about beforehand -- which, as a reluctant f2p since literally like 5th grade, ive been playing this game for Far too long, i do genuinely appreciate -- but boy oh boy you can sure tell this was mainly developed as a mobile game. there is so much pay-real-money-for-trinkets stuff and you just Cannot disable that menu. at least let me get rid of the little button that tells me i can spend the hard-earned bucks on moms credit card to get 1/4th the amount of animals of AJC man thats all i ask of this part
also this is largely unrelated but can i just say i DESPISE how many things are like "hi heres a welcome bonus :) oh but you need to pay like 3 bucks for it. yeah its usually 5 but for a Special New Player Like You? its a steal!" like thats not a welcome bonus thats an entry fee. i know thats like a paltry amount of money compared to most things Just Ever but its also coming from a guy whos family usually has zero money to spare

Gaming 1 Scout First of all, obviously I like being a faster class, and that double jump? *mwa* chefs kiss I love being able to move in games- so scout being a quick class and hes just my baby girl, Love him, hes my number 1 I don't get many kills! Though when i do i feel awesome :3 just as will any class Also- I try not to be that 'scout takes all the health packs' BUT FUCKIN When i was a F2P YOU CAN'T CALL MEDIC I WAS DYING OUT THEIR but lowkey, kinda scared to call medic as a scout, no idea why, so i only try to take health packs when i really need it, and then feel bad when i see a medic come around- --------------------------------------- 2 Pyro One of the classes i actually can get decent kills on, spraying everybody Fun class, Pyro is just a goofy thing <3

neuvi, about 40k+ per tick on charge attacks with full stacks or 2 stacks + furina buff, fully carries one side when there's no hydro immune bs.

triple EM kazuha on iron sting who still can burst reliably <3 i need to strongbox better flower and preferably sands with some ER, so i can replace the feather and get closer to 950+ EM. still nice about ~35% dmg bonus on this bad boy
