#yeah this game has fully grabbed me by the balls#i have not spent any money though comrades i promise 🫡#i Really hope they increase the time for the events though thats my biggest concern with the gacha rn#like a gacha is a gacha its not gonna get better in terms of money or trying to entice players#HOWEVER i do think increasing the time for them would be nice...#like once you get through the main story and youve been through most of the current world#earning diamonds is hard :')#and considering they have multiple events going on PLUS earning recolors through More gacha like bro....#i feel like theres a balance in gacha with enticing players but not overwhelming them either#and rn i think this game could Very Easily teeter into overwhelming players#like ive accepted that im probably not going to get any recolors for limited events unless they come back#and when so many of the outfits have up to 4 recolors! bad!!#idkidk its still very new but its not like they dont have experience with gacha this is like the what 4th or fifth game#sixth... maybe...#i lost count aljhgd#Anyway im just saying as someone who spent a lot of time playing love and shining nikki f2p as an easily enticed teen too#i never felt this rushed by the gacha in either game#and that was with events that had 4+ special outfits too#for all intents and purposes these current limited time ones have One special outfit (tech two but the 4 star barely counts)#and im already going eeeeeeeeeeeeee#like i fully wouldnt be able to do both the fairy and the butterfly outfit#i probably wouldnt have completed the fairy one if i was trying to pull for the butterfly one too#ANYWAY i just hope they make it at least a Little easier for free players lol#its a gacha game so no hope but ive never had such a hard time with the gacha in the other games so... small hope......

im doing this in an ask because tags wont be enough. ill try to keep it brief but keep the key points!
this is mizuki. it has been a main point in her story since the start of the game that she has a secret. it has also listed her gender on official things with ? and the english version of the game referred to her with they.
this is ena, one of her closest friends. theyve known each other in universe for three years, but only met in person within the last two-ish.
mizuki has been scared of sharing her secret with ena and their other online friends who didnt know mizuki in person in middle school and younger. even just in person in general. mizuki gets bullied a lot at school for dressing girly and wore the male uniform in middle school and had much shorter hair. though they go to the same school, ena does night school and mizuki skips a lot so they dont see each other like at all. there was an event a decent bit ago now where they talked on the rooftop and ena said she would wait for mozuki as long as it took. in the most recent event, mizuki finally gained the courage to confess her secret. she is worried about things changing between them and how her friends perceive her and she doesnt want to be pitied. just as she asked ena to meet on the rooftop, she had to go help someone with something. a group of three other kids came up talking about mizuku since they passed her in the hall. ena overheard them and "classmate A" said many things including (after ena said they knew each other a while) "oh are you actually a boy too?" "im kidding its obvious youre a normal girl" ena was very confused and he was like "what, they knew each other a while she must have known this" thats when ena says "then-" and the screen flashes through many events of them. mizuki comes back up and sees ena's realization ans shocked face at having just had her friend outted to her
mizuki sees this and is scared. obviously, ena is supportive but its a lot all at once esp when you didnt excpect it, no less for it to happen like this. mizuki reacts with what im sure youve seen .
and then promptly runs away. (a bit extra since im here) ena chases her and catches up and says not to get it confused she was just surprised and mizuki says she knows. she knows ena is kind and wouldnt hate her for this but its still too much for her to handle. fir the first time in the game, we see a back of a character as she apologizes. then she runs away again. mizuki then completely disappears from the real world in game and the light leaves her eyes.
okk yaya thats pretty much it, i hope you can get partly why i love them so much! have a nice day! (says after relating the most devastating story lmaoo)
THIS IS SO INTERESTING OMG???? thank you so much for taking the time to explain it to me!!! /gen
#thinking tag#one of my fav asks ive ever gotten ily /p#(sorry for the late response i procrastinated </3)

do your rogues have their own lore that differs from how theyre portrayed in canon? is there a specific version youre drawing from? ive seen the whole dork squad so far, do you have any other rogues youve made your own? sorry for all the questions, your blog is really cool and i wanna know things!!
please tell me about your eddie, i have an addiction to riddle men-
HELLO THANK YOU FOR THE QUESTION, LONG ANNOYING POST AHEAD!! <3 Apologies it's poorly formatted
So!!
Despite being in this silly fandom since around 2011/2012, I've only just started playing with AUs and designs (with the exception of the funny animalverse, those designs have been used and reworked since around 2013/14!) so the lore doesn't run too deep, but I'll try my best to summarise!
This AU is for my simpler designs and more grounded (word used very loosely... it's Batman) backstories. The presence of metahumans, insane powers and general abstractisms is reduced, but not eliminated. I'd consider this to be my "main" verse
I have a few AUs with some very cobbled together lore, but my main ones I'm actively working on are the following!
-Wikiverse (my main doodleverse)
These are the human designs I tend to use the most in my art as they're easy and fun to draw!
The only solidified designs I have so far for this AU are Riddler and Hatter (see below!). I've made a couple of small edits to Jervis' design recently but haven't had a chance to upload them!
I desperately need to make a solidified design for Scarecrow, but I can never settle on one! I'm considering using the design from the Halloween piece I did though as he's ever so fun to draw
Lorewise, this is all very new to me so it's a major work in progress!
Edward's lore will take a lot of inspiration from the BTAS lore (I like the idea of him being a games designer (I'll get into this one in a bit more detail later).
Johnathan's backstory will focus on him being unfulfilled with his job as a psychiatrist, and opting to use unethical methods to try and control/manipulate people for his own entertainment. I want him to hit a breaking point where he develops his toxin to use the power of fear to get people to behave how he wants them to, all while claiming it's for the greater good and entirely unselfish reasons. His big break/the moment where he becomes the scarecrow is going to be when he decides to toxin bomb a "fundraiser dinner" hosted and attended by the alumni/staff of the university he used to lecture at. I'm going to borrow heavily from the origin stories that focus on him being a complete outcast all through his academic life, and his desire to seek revenge on those who shunned him
Jervis' backstory is the most complete one I have, you can find it in thread form on my Twitter here! The too long didn't read version can be seen on his ref, but that leaves out a LOT of key details. With this one I borrowed little bits from all over the shop, so I don't really have a particular point of inspiration I can cite!
This is the AU I want to develop most! I'd love to create some more designs. I think once I've finalised my Scarecrow I might give Two Face or Ivy a go!
-Dreamstateverse (For more experimental designs and concepts)
This one is barely developed, but will house my more complex/wacky designs. I'd like to use this one for some more experimental work, something that really lets me push the boat out.
The general premise for this AU is that everything is completely insane. There are drugs in the water, the GCPD has collapsed, batman is struggling to keep up and the rogues are just running riot. Due to the otherworldly, psychedelic nature of this AU, I'm pinning Hatter as the main baddie
This AU is going to be a lot more flexible with metahumans and weird powers! All cards on the table, anything goes.
The only finalised design I have for this one is Edward! It's very gaudy and his whole outfit clashes, but that's kind of the point of a lot of the dreamstate designs!
The other two designs I'm currently working on are for Hatter and Music Meister! Music Meister's design is in the gross messy stage right now so I unfortunately have nothing to share, but I do have a doodle of Jervis' design! Going crazy... making him a bit tall...
Main rogues I want to design for this one (that I haven't already started) are Scarecrow, Ivy, Harley and I think The Ventriloquist would be fun!
-Everything is the same except Gotham is in Britain-verse
This one is for a longform story driven RP between me and a friend! It's a lot more grounded and takes place in England because that's a lot easier for us to write. I do not know an awful lot about big American cities
It focuses mostly on very early versions of the rogues, and how they get into their gimmicks and crimes. Riddler and Scarecrow are the main characters of this one, but we've also got Harley, Jervis, Selena and Ivy as side characters!
It's a sprawling mess lorewise so I don't think I'd be able to summarise, but it's very fun and silly. We have a large cast of original characters in the mix too!
-Funny animalverse
This is my oldest AU... if you can call it that. I just gave different characters fursonas and use them to doodle... That's all there is to it!
Edward is a fox, Jervis is a weird dog thing (but he's a hare when he's nervous/unstable), Music Meister is a ferret and John is a scraggy barn cat!
(Ignore the species, I've changed this recently to make him more of a basset hound mix!)
And once again... John's design is unfinished... I think I just get nervous designing him, he's very fun but so hard!!
Anyway, there's no lore here, I just use them as my own personal action figures !
E D W A R D S
Standard issue abusive dad backstory
I'm going to try and summarise the lore of my main Eddie's! I want to develop them all into full backstories but for now please enjoy my notes!
Wikiverse:
Worked hard. Studied programming and computer science. Became a game designer
Online personality. Made a lot of videos showcasing how the
industry works, what his role is, programming tutorials etc
Small gaming company he worked for was bought by a larger company who implemented unethical business practices
Speaks out about these online, company sees it as slander and fires him
Name is scrubbed from credits, no royalties given. Goes to complain but CEO laughs in his face and calls him an idiot (sneaky bits in the contract allowing the company to do this)
Enraged, Edward disappears, resurfacing months later under a new persona. Kidnaps the CEO and other involved parties and forces them to partake in game/puzzle like death traps.
Broadcasts the whole thing live to local Gotham news station
Sets up proxy broadcast locations and covers his tracks near perfectly. Leaves cryptic clues that lead to a lot of red herrings and dead ends (with trick answers so he can pretend he's not cheating)
Continues puzzle themed general crimes/heists to gather funds and just to prove how smart he is
Personalitywise, he's quite dorky, but also a completely flamboyant showoff. He's very keen on keeping up appearances and coming across as well put together
Dreamstateverse:
This one I still need to work out. Similar to the previous Eddie, this one is an incredible showoff, and excessively flamboyant. He's very keen on taking any chance he has to show how much better he is than everyone else
Despite his desperation to appear cool and collected, he has an incredibly short temper and will loose it if things don't go his way
I want to say prior to his criminal life, he had some sort of job within the local Gotham government. I think it'd be fun for him to utilise insider information he gained during his career in his schemes
Unfortunately Englandverse:
Once again, the lore for this AU is sprawling so I can't go over it all, but here's a handy dandy list of some key points
Edward grew up in the USA with an abusive father. He sucked at school (he was smart, but he despised the schooling system and often acted out for attention) and got kicked out by the time he was 16
After getting kicked out by his father for failing school, he lives rough for a short while before joining a travelling carnival. He's put in charge of running some of the carnival games (which he rigs) and enjoys himself greatly
The carnival is run by some shady characters who quickly pick up on Edward's smarts. They teach him the tricks of the shadier parts of the trade, focusing on forgery (tax documents, health and safety documents etc etc)
He makes a name for himself as an expert forger, over time accumulating a great deal of notoriety and a decent amount of cash
After becoming bored with the carnival, he decides to move overseas after being offered a shady paperwork job with a well known drugs baron
He continues to work for the baron, getting closer and closer to him over time to learn more about how he operates his business. Over time, Edward becomes bored with the work he was given, and utilises his closeness with the baron (alongside his forgery skills and attention to detail), to kill off the baron and falsely inherit his empire
For a short while, Edward is happy with his work, enjoying being in a position of power, but he quickly becomes bored again, desperately seeking out a new thrill. He begins to target high profile individuals that "pose a threat to his business", forcing them through a variety of puzzles, traps, extortion schemes etc. He broadcasts these antics on hijacked TV signals, claiming that it's to quell corruption in the city (he utilises very manipulative language in order to get the common people on his side). In actual fact, it's all just a game for him, something he uses to entertain and prove himself
I like the idea of him having a fair amount of public support, until he runs out of "genuine" targets and starts forcing the regular citizens of Gotham to partake in his games
Lots of other small details, twists and turns that explain decisions and motivations better, but I think I'd need a whole essay to cover it
The summary for this one is he's just an incredibly smart, power hungry bastard who likes attention
He's also prone to tantrums if things don't go his way. His ego is very easily wounded and his screaming fits are biblical in proportions.
That being said, if he takes a shining to someone he is fiercely loyal (if a little clingy)
That's all I can think of to write right now!!! Thank you again so much for your question and I'm so sorry I threw War and Peace at you!

been thinking a lot about my different oc worlds recently. ive said before ive got four, but technically it's five if you count extinction.
im gonna put all my thoughts under a readmore bc once again this got insanely long jkllkjjkf. i be rambling
most of my attention has definitely been going into challenger deep the past year (and will likely continue), recently i refurbished hollowridge as well and have had a lot of fun with it (even if i havent drawn much to show for it...)
the other two of the set of four i originally posted about are my agony drive and broken horizon settings. Broken horizon is more of a personal headworld where ive set my dragon ocs, but I have not really been successful with it in terms of like. worldbuilding and crafting a story for it, mostly because there are very few characters in it currently and i struggle with it. But it's the world where cercerion and my sona dima (as an oc) exist. i would love to actually do a better job with it sometime but it currently isnt a huge priority because ive been focused on the other two main ones (but again since its just a personal headworld it literally is just some place i like to mentally hang out and fly around in, im not super bothered by it being undeveloped.)
However we have the two troublemaker worlds now
the agony drive setting has been driving me more than a little nuts because of its whole situation with it. i absolutely adore the characters i have in it, but i have no idea what to do with the world itself. it used to be a joint project so i was extremely limited in the way i could develop it bc i depended on the other individual enjoying the ideas and i did my best to keep it afloat almost being the sole contributor to it, so now that its liberated i just didnt know what to do with it. i do like a bunch of the lore bits i came up with but some part of me is like 'idk if i enjoy this as a world' bc it still feels limited in some way? Another issue is that while hollowridge (previously my horror and slapstick gore setting with demons/angels/magic vibes) was dead in the water, i channeled that violence slapstick demon/magic vibe through TAD, but getting a focus back on hollowridge has kinda just. straight up deleted a bunch of TAD's reason to exist? i dont know if that makes sense
HR isnt really that much slapstick violence because death is final, and TAD is more cartoony in that sense bc death ISNT final which is its main reason to exist (unlimited violent major character death for the funnies), but theres a weird overlap that is keeping me from focusing correctly because it makes my brain go 'you are doing the same thing twice'
I would really really love to actually turn it into something fun and unique (separate from my other worlds) but i really havent been sure how to go about it because of that overlap. i genuinely think its just a problem of 'you have to actually develop the setting to have fun in it' and i just havent been able to do that yet bc i cant decide what i want it to BE. TAD has also never really had a lot of story to begin with so it makes things harder bc the story is the vehicle to explore the world with. its pretty frustrating bc midas set and david are some of my fav ocs ive made and i miss them but god dammit if it isnt hard to actually work with the whole thing....
and last but not least... the fifth one. extinction. a lot of you probably know this one from my comic. if youve been here since like... 2014-2015 (which would be insane) you might remember me beginning to develop that story until it eventually became the comic that is currently sitting unfinished and feels like a huge weight on my shoulders just out of sheer shame
the issue with extinction is that it was a lot of characters that i deeply loved (and still i still deeply love!!) all with fun plotlines, backstories, and a lot of fun tidbits to em that i ended up bending and breaking dozens of times just for the purpose of fitting them into a relatively short story that i could draw out and finish. and more importantly into something i hoped would be handleable instead of spiralling out of control like it had happened before
but what i didnt realize is that by doing so, i "locked" their lore in place into these very small boxes that would fit into a story, and thus i would remove what i had loved about those characters and their interactions that i had come up with years and years ago and a lot of my very very cool ideas for them simply went out the window in favor of .... well i dont. know. but off it went
i live in complete shame for not being able to finish the comic. it genuinely is a huge and extremely heavy weight on my shoulders and this whole thing has prevented me from even thinking of said ocs for years now even though they are some of my oldest and most beloved. saying all of this is not something i take lightly in the least as well
so recently I have been thinking about bringing them back as well... maybe (to the extent that i can... i have a lot of ocs and you guys know i have a lot of bias when drawing faves. so i cant guarantee content but at least i would be able to think about them again).
essentially the same way that i rewrote and got back my old concepts for hollowridge that slapped hard i want to get back my original ideas for extinction that i thought were really cool and just wasnt able to fit into a comic narrative
obviously this would come with a lot of retconning and i know a lot of people will probably not like it if i do it and i think thats something i have to face and learn to live with
but yeah anyways. TLDR is i really want to actually do something proper for TAD but have been having a lot of trouble with it unfortunately, but im working on it. and ive also been feeling rly nostalgic about extinction so you might see the characters again, albeit different in terms of story from what you probably know
#again please feel free to drop a like if you read all that and thank you very kindly if you did read it#thunderclap#long post#idk what to tag this as honestly#the agony drive#extinction#yeah since its these two that im mostly talking about. houhh#i know i have been having a lot of trouble answering DMs and such i rly wanna get to them sometime this week if possible#but honestly if you have anything youd like to discuss pertinent to this feel free to reach out#im going to try to do my best to respond. actually maybe ill do it right now#thank you again!! hope u have an awesome day

zapsoda talks about one song from a musical he hasnt seen for a reaaaaally long time
wishs villain is a tragedy in every way. his song is. bad. (standard for the movie imo) but they way in which it wad bad enraptures me because beyond the writing itself, the performance itself is hollow.
youve heard the cliche, in musicals, characters sing when their emotions are too strong to be conveyed through words. but this guy doesnt seem to be conveying fucking anything.
uhhhhh hes selfish? i think?????? he is so empty and dull and devoid of personality. he just sounds vaguely condescending.
one criticism ive heard a lot is that the (pop) songwriter and producer duo were writing generic marketable pop songs so they would get radio hits like that one track from encanto. and i can fucking see it!!!! the appeal of musicals is how personal the songs are. the appeal of pop music is the opposite! musical songs can be relatable but when they are, its more personal, because they are *always* about very specific situations in stories which can then be applied to the real world.
in the lyrics he talks a lot about what he is? i guessss? (which. cmon guys. show dont tell) but its so fucking vague. does he even mention wishes once???? i thought that was like the whole point of his role in the movie? some shit about wishes? like at that point what is the point of including this song in the movie.
yes, villain songs are typically "i am" songs, but they do far fucking more than just tell you the villains main personality traits, thats something youre supposed to convey through their actions. typically, they are supposed to give you a deeper look into the character!
"poor unfortunate souls" is about how ursula portrays herself as a benevolent do gooder but actually just uses vulnerable people for her own benefit. "be prepared" is about scars evil plot to usurp the throne. "friends on the other side" is about faciliers curse shit.
this song could most accurately be compared to gastons song (is it just called 'gaston'?) but the mob song filled in for what it didnt provide, and "gaston" at least had the decency to be an entertaining and audibly enjoyable experience!
this is none of those. i guess it tells me about the character???? vaguely???? its not entertaining because its boring and repetitive, and it sounds like shit!
whats worse is the villain himself sounds bad. and i checked! chris pine can sing! he was in into the woods! whoever directed him just failed him miserably. i get this very strong impression that the song was not written with him or his character in mind.
back when the movie had just been like. announced. i heard rumors about him being kind of an ableist stereotype of a narcissist and i cannot confirm or deny that (havent seen the movie) based on testimony and what i have observed myself, he doesnt seem to have much of any character, let alone one that is exaggerative or stereotypical. he doesnt even seem to have much of a motive. he just wants whatever is convenient for the plot and does whatever will effectively move the plot along. (from what i fan tell)
for me the tragedy is that he is a disney villain. i love disney villains okay there hasnt been one and a while and he was created to bring that archetype back. hes an evil king! except hes not. hes just some fucking bland empty nobody. and yet the animation in the music video is so lively. its gorgeous. he moves so dramatically, his body language screams personality but his words, his design, and his actions do not.
clearly the people who worked on the movie are extremely skilled in what they do in a vacuum, and yet somehow they came together to make a really lame and boring end product. which i suspect is largely a result of the big faceless execs at the top of it all, wanting to make the safest and most marketable product imaginable. as opposed to, yknow, a work of art.
#i will never disparage the artists themselves especially visually. ive seen a lot of complaints about it but i really like it#the relative simplicity in terms of shading and depth reminds me of nimona#gives it a sort of storybook quality (just based on what ive seen)

Of course if Bethesda hired ME, i could write them the greatest Fallout game of all time, set in the midwest (around Ohio/Detroit area), an area known as the Cornwastes, about 40 years after FO4. The region has been, since the Great War, basically unliveable due to deadly radioactive tornadoes, but those have begun to die down, and settlers from the East have begun to reclaim the region. Your only character story is that youve come along on a caravan, and you get to choose if thats because you're seeking a fortune on the new frontier, running away from a past, etc. The main story would actually change based on what you choose at the start, with a secondary villain based on that choice.
There would be a faction of ghouls who survived the deadly weather in the region, who claim it as their own land that smoothskins are taking from them. Many of them have taken to violence to control it, calling themselves the Ghoul Liberation Fronf. There's also a group of sapient mirelurks to the north, by the great lakes, who live in a tribal, agrarian society, which seems almost idyllic...but not very fond of outsiders. Of course the settlers have their factions as well; a group of Synths who would like not only to settle down in a place thats bigger than their previous hiding holdouts, but also hope to find a new technology to shape their future. There's a merchant guild from around D.C. wastes which has plots to establish a trading path with the west coast, but who seem to be exploiting their workers. Then there's the raiders, who have finally begun updating their playbook after success at Nuka-world and The Pitt. Now they have something close to organized crime, and they're working directly with the laborers moving into the area.
There's also of course a burgeoning government...a confederation of different regions across the east coast, who have allied with the leaders from the Cornwastes, with little more than power plays keeping it intact. Each region has their own laws, and their own military, but must allow free travel and commerce amongst the citizenry. This results in a lot of friction between the sectors, with military from each sector often exploiting other sectors citizens near the borders. The actual confederated government does nothing to stop these scuffles, being led currently by the same man who founded the Merchants Guild, whose only goal is his own enrichment. Overall, the three factions you see out of this government in the Cornwastes are the militarized Commonwealth Army, which is formed of remnants of both the Minutemen and the Brotherhood, and claim to fight for the good of all citizens (an idea which locals find questionable); the secretive and threatening Capital Coalition (Think like G-men, except with power suits backing them); and the Appalachian Militia, who are made up of some of the biggest misfits in their entire region (including several friendly Super Mutants, who have calmed down since FO4 due to new advances in biomedical engineering.)
Each of the three C's of Ohio and Detroit would be accessible. (hey, if FO4 can have most of Massachusetts we can have a bigger map this time!) There's gouges across the landscape caused by the erosion of the extreme weather, though, making transportation largely happen over bridges, which factions control as chokepoints. There will be a dynamic "sector control" system where you can aid factions in taking new bridges and acheiving their goals bit by bit. Once a sector has been taken by a friendly faction, you can build over the entire sector like you do with FO4 settlements. Of course, each of those sectors have various resources worth acquiring as well. There are, of course, some limitations; sometimes a faction wont want to expand into a sector, because they are allied with the faction controlling it, and there are some points which are considered shared ground. Also, sectors arent just gained through combat...you can take sneakier routes, sometimes even just talking a faction out of their claim of a sector.
As for the main storyline, once you get into the region and finish setting up your character, you get caught up in a tense altercation between the government and a group of armed labor workers blocking the path. Just before the Commonwealth Army threaten to "put the workers back in line", the Ghoul Liberation Front attacks both of them. You as the main character are swept away by a mysterious woman from your caravan who hides you with a stealth boy, and hands you a letter and a key, before dying from a wound. The slaughter ends with the leaders of the three factions falling back to regroup, and the letter leads you to a nearby town. Its there that you end up swept into a larger plot: the key has been passed down for generations, kept safe in one of the vaults, and evidently unlocks a deadly pre-war weapon that was being developed in Detroit. You then go on a story which involves the fate of the entire region, weighing the implications of history as well as simple citizen lives. Will the locals remain in power, or will the settlers take control? Will the government stabilize, and if so, who will be in control?
As for gameplay, much of it will be similar to FO4 with the added sector system, but also, you can actually get synth limbs and implants which are moddable as you progress. This adds one more layer to FO4's already robust modding system, as well as playing into the ever-present Fallout theme of 'what is a human anyways?'.
Anyways Bethesda if you wanna hire me i graduated cum laude with a degree in narrative arts back in may, and have a handful of accolades under my belt. I can give ya a resume and a portfolio if you want!

Do you think JAR is a huge pussy?
Yes, kinda, and I can understand why. He has to compromise with a lot of people in the commentary community, so any wrong move and he would get backlash and possible get into more drama. He has gone through a lot of online theatre over the years, so I can see why he is choosing to be so careful with every fucking thing, like even removing my Mr. Leaps character from his intro we made for him... He doesnt want any more risk as he knows the consequences. When I started out in my drama, I had zero experience of any online battles, I didnt even know how to make a commentary video at the time, as I was only starting out that summer of 2020 with a few shitty history vids with bad editing. I can see how bad of a response I made towards Daft pina at the time now, since I didnt even write it. It was my editor who wrote most of it, and I just gave the general points to talk about (there was also no time to think about it, since I wanted a response to Daft asap), as I didnt know how to put it into proper English commentary when all I did prior was animation for years. Animation/art =/= commentary, you just use completely different parts of the brain I noticed when you do one of those. I made that first QnA video in like 2019, and you dont wanna know how long it took me to record and redo most of it, I hated how I sounded, I hated what words I used, it was all so ugly to me, I juist had no experience of talking to random online people at the time - my brain was developing in other fields (animation, cinema stuff, music/score), so I guess you can say I was a retard when it came to speaking online.
Over the years I followed a few drama stories, like the Onision one, a bit of LEafyis Here, and few Daft pina stuff when he was a :good guy: in the eyes of the public, but you dont really learn about the stakes or the consequences in such situations unless youve been there yourself. Its a completely different understanding when youre just a viewer or a spectator, so you dont see the full picture on whats happening behind the stage. I was very late to realize how much damage online battles can do to someone, both mentally and financially. It can develop into serious trauma if youre relying on online audience to pay the bills. Luckily for me, most of the subs are not interested in any drama stuff, as I mainly lost audience who watched the history vids, while the usual main series I make seem to be doing the same , so deathbed stuff gets the most views, while other parodies can be huge hit or miss, so I dont want to do them anymore, as its huge gamble. For Just a Robot, he has built his online career with commentary, so its obvious he will lose it all in an instant once the community turns on him. I do think he isnt brave to just stick to his own opinion and not care what others will think, but its also not gonna align with his community if he does go out of line.
Daft Pina is a recent example of what happens when commentary turns on you. He has lost a lot of power over the years, but of course he will never fully vanish like Creepshow art, since he has way too many “friends” in art circles who seem to be his safety net, though you can see his sub count has dropped since last year, and so did his views. SonnyTM has made a great recent video on Daft, to show what I mean, you can watch that vid on his channel.
Also I do not know why I made this post so fucking long, but I guess its late here and Im super bored so here you go

what do u think the st fandom is gonna be like after s5 drops and finishes.. like idk but I've just been wondering cuz this is the last time we're getting a new season 🤔 do you think it's gonna stick around or what? I noticed that usually after every season the fandom goes kinda radio silent after around a month but the fandoms still actually p active after s4 so. I wonder if the potential spin off is gonna keep the popularity up or even surpass it a la brba and better call saul(not that I think st is as good as those shows but I think they're both kinda iconic in their own ways)
i think stranger things will have a similar kinda legacy and impact as harry potter. the last movie came out in 2011 and its still a MASSIVE fandom and community that write, make fanart, make edits and gifs, collect merch, the whole shebang. the storys long done but the fandom has never died. i just went on ao3 and guess how many pages i had to go through just to reach a fic that came out more that two days ago….. TWENTY!!!!!???
stranger things is one of the only fandoms for a fictional media ive seen that is similar to the size and commitment of the harry potter fandom. i would say star wars also is a close comparison but a lot of people have mixed feelings about all the new ones (rightfully so honestly. daisy ridley slays but why the fuck did reylo kiss. thats not at all how you write enemies to lovers.) most star wars fans just love the classics like empire strikes back so the fandom isnt as strong as harry potter. and it doesnt really feel too much like a fandom in the same way that stranger things and harry potter do. i could go on about this but i’ll go back to my original point.
i dont think any passage of time will negatively affect the success of this show. you know how youve probably seen a bunch of iconic classic movies from the 70s, 80s, and 90s that your family got you to watch? this will be the show of the 2010s that future generations will watch because their parents loved it. its not even that the show will go down in history, it already has!! its so cool to really look into how much of an impact this show has actually made. im really glad ive been able to witness it and have been watching the show since it first came out.
another thing that’ll probably keep this show iconic and new generations watching it is the kid actors. these are all of their first “big break”. theyre all probably gonna go on to play so many more iconic roles into their adulthood and eventually people will look at them in stranger things in the same way that we currently look at young winona ryder in beetlejuice. thats mad trippy to think about tho. in my head theyre all perpetually 14.
i think this fandom will always be active because there is just SO MUCH to talk about!!!! and this would be the case no matter what they ended up doing with the relationships and characters, but once byler is canon that’ll definitely play a huge role in keeping the fandom alive. people who have never seen the show will probably start watching it after they hear that the main characters are gay. no one will ever stop writing byler fics. people who really really love a specific couple or ship dont ever really lose interest. if you love the characters and love them together, that love never just goes away and people will ALWAYS want more content so theyll always love reading fics and seeing fanart. snowbaz is a good example of this. i read carry on when i was 16. i just turned 23 and i read snowbaz fanfiction all the fucking time. im currently reading one thats amazing and they update weekly and every monday i get so excited to read a story from characters that i was introduced to SEVEN YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!! that’ll probably be the same case for byler. and lumax too.
i think the spinoffs will definitely be talked about but i dont think theyll be the reason the fandom stays alive. i honestly kinda would rather it be more separate from the og stranger things. i hope its good and treated in the same way that fantastic beasts was treated and not the shitty new star wars movies. and you didnt ask this but i also have a hunch that the spinoff will be about kali.
to sum all that up, no i dont think this fandom will ever die. its so iconic.
#this ask is literally from october im sorry its a good question that i have many thoughts on idk why i never answered it#i could write a whole paper about the impact this show has had on society and the film industry#stranger things#byler#eden answers

Hallo, i hope you are alright and that my ask aren’t annoying but I wanted to ask do you have any c!puffy headcannons? —🤡
YOURE NOT ANNOYING AT ALL !!! NEVER THINK THAT ILU VERY MUCH. MUAH /p
as for c!puffy headcanons, i am not the best person to ever organize their thoughts properly but ill try my best >:’D
ahaha. this got. super complex and way too long and more of like an introspective study to puffy now instead of harmless fun headcanons so, uh. under read more <3 (also reminder this is all /rp and /dsmp)
* i like to think that she has a hero complex, but its a bit different since she never really sees herself as an ‘important’ part of the story, not the main character but a support one, hence ‘im fine with being the side character’ or how she’s said she doesnt care what happens to her and would gladly sacrifice(?) herself if there werent other people she had to protect. girl u need therapy urself <3
* though very open with how she feels and never afraid to say when someone/something is upsetting her, ‘opening up’ is still a whole mountain climb for her, apparently. like, she’d rant about the egg, get mad at the eggpire, let off some steam by committing arson or exploding stuff, she’ll rarely ever talk about how much the stuff that upset her actually HURT her. does that make sense? LIKE, she’ll lash out, she’ll get mad, she’ll take NO SHIT thrown at her face, but to show the kinda vulnerability of dealing with that? to cry about it talk about those feelings with someone? I think she’d rather eat her own foot lol
* adding onto the thing above, she doesnt necessarily actually realize this about herself. less of actively doing it and rather growing... used to the ‘cycle of violence’ in the smp as they call it. and the fact that rarely have people really asked, that no one’s actually available for that, w her losing her closest friends, bad and ant, sam being busy w the warden stuff... and niki. yeah. there’s foolish, but i doubt she’d ever see venting to someone she considers her son appealing
* also. puffy is just sometimes... really bad at conveying sadness. i think she’s a rare crier. id go as far to say that shes even more emotionally constipated than dream, lol (but maybe not while the guy’s in his prison arc) and that she’d be the type of person to tell you its okay to cry but beat herself up over something if she let a tear slip in a heated moment
* speaking of sadness. she’ll only ever actually Be Sad if she’s alone or with someone she doesnt necessarily care the opinions of. yknow how she mourned for tommy and blamed herself? those dialogue bits? yeah, those are only times shed actually be vulnerable
* puffy’s go to response to the egg and how its fucked up her relationship w her friends is pure fury. but, going off of her line about ‘failing bad and ant’ i like to think that she probably hates herself the most about it. THAT IS A STRONG WORD LOL BUT YEAH. she yells and curses and gets mad, but sometimes i wonder if the words she had spat before were more directed to herself
* THIS GIRL HAS SELF-IDENTITY PROBLEMS. CAN WE GET A HELL YEAH FOR THAT CHAT? outside of having no goddamn clue about where she came from, how she got here and who she even is, scrounging up a role for herself in a server with a war on the background and traumatized kids got her resignedly coerced into thinking that she is only a Parent. Only good enough when she’s actually doing something Useful for people. SO. when she finds that ship? of having a crew and having a curse? OF FINDING OUT SHE MIGHT HAVE/ HAVE HAD A MOM THATS WAITING FOR HER? the sense of control she has on herself is absolutely crushed. shattered, and she’s left to pick up the pieces w no one to talk abt it with <3
* adding onto the above, it’s why the line ‘I’m supposed to be mama puffy. me.’ hurts me so much! so yes! please cry with me :D
* also to add more on the fact that she thinks she’s only worth something when she’s being useful, puffy literally contemplated leaving the server, thinking that it wouldnt matter leaving since no one really needs her anyway, since she’s failed so many people. bad and ant, tommy, dream. shes said how foolish can take care of himself on how tubbo and ranboo have each other, how she and niki have drifted so far away from each that it might as well be a break up.
HOOOOOOOOOO OBOY . anon youve really given me the perfect chance to ramble huh? sorry for the rather incomprehensible brainrot, here’s more lighthearted headcanons about puffy asdhfkd
* she cannot stand still sometimes. she always has to be doing something extra, walking when the prime path is right there? shed rather go through tedious little holes or hop and balance onto fences to get where shes going. she’ll mindlessly fix up the path when there are holes or mismatched wood, and one time went on a long, long LONG journey cleaning up the paths tommy purposely DESTROYED near lmanburg and even added cobblestone sidings which werent there before
* puffys a bit of a sentimental person. writing in her log to clear her thoughts sometimes and cared enough to try and preserve lmanburg with the glass sheet and trying to find possible surviving artifacts of history to respect it, even though she’s never been a part of it. its also why, when doomsday happened and lmanburg got permanently poofed, she began to appreciate the buildings that are still standing and began taking more pics
* she’s not used to being... what do you call it, um, cared for? she’d deflect compliments sometimes, when shes having a particular bad day, like, she’d laugh nervously and change the subject, sometimes she’d outright deny it, most days she’d jokingly say ‘staphhh it’ and add a very genuine thanks. my point being is, do something for puffy that is mildly nice and she’d keep that moment in her heart forever.
* also funny story regarding the above. u know how karl is notorious for stealing her materials? and how puffy was contemplating doing something in retaliation for them? karl says hi for once when she joins the server and she goes ‘alright fine youre safe for saying hi’ LOL THIS WAS PROBABLY A BIT META WISE but something about this implying that the bare minimum or LESS is enough to make puffy forgive someone is very sad and funny at the same time for me. girl really said ‘oh you said hi to me? thats nice all the crimes youve ever done towards me is now forgiven. <3’ (this is a bit of an exaggeration on my part, ofc, i just think its funny LMAO)
* ironically, despite being the ‘captain’, whenever riding a boat with someone, she prefers being on the backseat and letting them drive. ig shes just there for the ride i suppose, her and her uber drivers :3
* she either has a rather unhealthy obsession with baked potatoes or she just doesnt wanna waste eret’s massive potato farm
* idc what cc!puffy says is c!puffy will always and forever be 5′2″ in my HEART. u are the shortest member, u cannot change this <3
* shes really fond of animals/ neutral mobs. she often baby talks to them and they help boost her mood a lot when shes having a bad day :D
* up to this day, the little secret rooms she’s created around the server have all been yet to be discovered, unless the one under bad’s house has been found. she rarely ever really keeps tabs on them, and more often than not they are just collecting dust. she still visits sometimes and cleans them up ofc
* she still genuinely thinks dream can change. cc!puffy’s line about that, ‘i’m his last hope.’ really makes me think about this a lot.
* ive seen people talk abt it a bit but the headcanon that puffy acts as the server mom to fill the ‘void’ of her missing her mom makes me cry at night /hj
* she really likes her rainbow onesie! i headcanon that eret gave her that along w the sunglasses, but she started wearing that less when she found her old captains uniform. shes never really said why, though, and nobody ever really bothered to ask
* god bless this woman but sometimes the server members get on her nerves sometimes so she goes out of her way to traverse along far away from the main community to maybe commit a few crimes. let off some steam. these take a few days but she always returns
i probably have a lot more hcs but i cant remember them >_> THIS IS A LOT ANYWAY. HOPE U ENJOYED MY BRAIN VOMIT. IF U READ THIS FAR ILU THANK U
if there are mistakes it is bc i am crying and cannot see my keyboard and also i am sleep deprived /hj

23: What’s one piece of advice you would give to anyone who wants to start writing or posting their writing online?
NEW PARTAGRAPH FOR EVERY NEW SPEAKER NEW PARAGRAH FOR EVER NEW SPEAKER
NEW
APRAGRAPH
FOR EVERY NEW SOEAKER
PARAGRAPH BREAKS. PLEASE
YOU DONT KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I CLICKED ON A FANFIC WITH A REALLY COOL PREMISE BUT CLICKED OFF AFTER BEING FACED BY THE SENTENCE BRICK
PEOPLE ARE REALLY FORGIVING TOWARDS NEW WRITERS BUT THIS MAKES IT REALLY HARD TO READ YOUR FIC PLEASE LEARN THIS
but other than that!
people arent as mean as you think. i promise nobodys gonna tear apart your writing as cruelly as you do in your own head. the plot seems played out because youve been working on it a lot. the horror feels hokey because you know what happens and by design it doesnt scare you. the twists seem predictable because you know them. readers of fanfictions will by and large forgive things like wonky grammar, plotholes etc, because they know that a lot of people here are amateurs, and are posting this for free. theyre not looking for the mona lisa, theyre looking for a fun story that makes them happy.
think of it this way: if your most favoritest person in the world makes you a cake with ur favorite flavors n frostings and colors, youre not gonna mind if its a little lopsided or the frosting is clumpy at parts or the writing is shaky, will you? you're just gonna love that there's something there that you love, even if its not perfect
also if you can, get a beta reader. some beta for content (making sure people are ic, the plot makes sense, pacing is good etc) and some for grammar. if you can't get one, then self-beta. leave the fic/chapter for a week or so, then come back at it with fresh eyes. change the font and font size, it helps with this. having an unbeta'd fic doesnt make u a Strong Independent Writer that Doesn't Need Any Editing because theyre Super Good Naturally And The Best (yes i did think like this at once) it just means really obvious mistakes like the most embarassing typos ever or completely fucking up the formatting of a part slip through. ur not a lesser writer for needing editing. a diamond isnt lesser for needing polishing
a good way to test dialouge is see if you can imagine it in the character's voice. if you can't or its hard, change something cause immersion is breaking. this is best done during editing so you don't read a sentence at a time- maybe the problem isnt the dialouge, but the narrative itself
also first person pov is like an extended monologue. treat first person pov prose as dialogue from the character you are writing from the POV of, don't write, say, zim's pov with your standard prose because i guarantee zim does Not talk like that. THIS is the main reason most people hate first person pov- they write it like standard prose, just using "i." first person pov isnt all bad, you just have to know how to do it right

since youve mentioned playing YTTD, do you have any ships for it, or just any bonds in the story you enjoy?
Hmm, YTTD is one of those stories where I’m more invested in the plot and the mysteries overall than in shipping, so I haven’t given it a lot of thought!
This isn’t really meta or anything of the sort, but I’m not sure how many of my followers are caught up with YTTD spoilers, so I’ll put this under a cut just in case!
I’d say the only real romantic ship I really got attached to was Nao/Reko—they had such a great dynamic overall, I loved nearly all of their interaction. The way that Reko made so much effort to help Nao recover from Mishima’s death, the way Nao realized that something felt subtly off about Reko in the first part of chapter 2, realizing that the Fake Reko was a different person from the Reko that she’d come to know for most of the game so far… all of the development between them was so good.
I’m pretty sad Nao is dead as of the end of chapter 2 and that there’s no real way to save her (other than getting a massive bad ending, not that I blame her for lying in the main game when that was really the only option she had). I wanted to see even more of her and Reko interacting, potentially even the two of them getting out alive, so Nao’s death felt a little like her development was getting cut short. She and Reko are still both fantastic characters though.
The only other romantic ship I’m tentatively invested in that I can think of off the top of my head is Ranmaru/Sara, because what we’ve seen of their interactions in chapter 3 so far is pretty great. I like that it’s so easy for Sara to get him flustered, and that he really seems to want to genuinely help her despite the twist about the dolls’ real role in the game that Midori set up. It’s also nice to see Sara getting to befriend someone completely outside the main group that she’s gotten to know for most of the game, and having someone who can help take some of the pressure off of her instead of leaving most of the responsibilities to her.
Obviously we’ll have to see how things turn out between them in the rest of the story, but all in all, it seems like a cute ship! I’m not quite as invested in it as I am Nao/Reko, but that’s mostly just because they haven’t had as much interaction. Depending on how long Ranmaru sticks around for chapter 3, it’s possible they’ll get even more great moments together.
As for non-romantic bonds in the story that I enjoy—I have quite a lot of those! I like how character-driven YTTD feels as a story, and the varying occupations and ages of the characters allows for a lot more focus on bonds like family, or mentorship. For example, Mishima isn’t around for a very long time, but we still have time to see how much he genuinely cares about Nao and wants to protect her and help her grow into the best person she can be. When he dies, it’s a pretty horrific and heartwrenching moment even that early on because we’ve seen firsthand what a good person he is, and how much Nao looks up to him.
One of my favorite non-romantic bonds that’s been shaping up so far is probably between Sara and Sou (as in Shin, not Midori). I definitely wouldn’t say I ship them, but the actual potential for friendship between them is so good. The two of them are also such well-written narrative foils of each other, with Sara constantly on the brink of collapse from trying to hold the group together while Sou is being eaten alive by his own paranoia and desperation pretty much 24/7.
Once we know more about Sou’s mindset, it’s so easy to see why he acts the way he does towards Sara—of course every gesture of good will she makes look suspicious and calculated, knowing that she’s not only got the highest rate of survival in the entire killing game but is also so undeniably important and central to why the game is even taking place at all. There are already a lot of implications that Sou has had a rough time in the past from trusting overly-friendly, charismatic people (like Midori), so his severe mistrust of Sara specifically makes a lot more sense in hindsight.
And at the same time, Sara herself is never any less sympathetic. She’s such a fantastic protagonist: we want to root for her precisely because of how desperately she’s trying to make things work in spite of everything falling apart around her. Her trauma, particularly from feeling so personally responsible for Joe’s death, lives alongside her and shapes her every bit as much as Sou’s paranoia does. It’s equally easy to understand why she wants Sou to stop fucking around in the main game and be their ally for once, and why she keeps reaching out to him in spite of how blatantly he mistrusts her.
I would really, really love for the two of them to genuinely become friends in the Sou route of chapter 3. It’s hard to tell if that’s really going to happen—Sou is nothing but resentful right now because of Kanna’s death, and clearly biding his time to get back at the rest of the group for “killing her.” But I really hope that is what happens in the end. Between Midori and the dolls presenting a much bigger threat, and the fact that we’re probably going to finally get some important revelations about Sara’s greater role in all of this soon, I think there’s a real chance for Sou to pull through and put aside his grudges while genuinely pitching in as an ally for once.
I also absolutely adore Reko and Alice’s sibling relationship—Alice in general is one of my favorite YTTD characters so it’s always really hard picking which one of them I want to survive. The fact that both of them so clearly wanted to put the past behind them and go back to being siblings, but never actually knew how to say so or how to interact with each other during the main events of the game is just so sad. I feel like the regrets they have with each other are very compelling, and I hope we get to at least see some more interaction between them in YTTS if nothing else.
Thank you for this question, anon! It was really fun to go through and think of which character dynamics I’ve been enjoying the most in YTTD so far!

The Mandalorian’s Everything - Chapter 4
Story Masterlist
(Y/F/C) = Your Favourite Colour
Warnings: 8700 words of pure, cheesy fluff, and now that I’m looking back on it, a smidge of angst.
It had been about 4 hours of the Mandalorian sitting in the cockpit slowly slipping into madness as he watched the stars before he went back to check on you. For good measure he punched the target in the face as he walked by, and entered his room where he found you still sleeping peacefully.
There was still at least another day's trip to Coruscant, maybe even longer with his damaged hyperdrive, and the bounty hunter was starting to get tired. But there was no way he was going to wake you up. If you needed sleep, then you could get all the sleep you wanted.
The Mandalorian went back to the bathroom to grab some more antibiotics, this time in pill form, and left them alongside a glass of water on the nightstand. He was hoping they could relieve some of the pain in your shoulder.
After taking one last look to make sure you really were okay, the Mandalorian made his way back to the cockpit where he watched millions of stars zoom by. Again.
About another hour later the bounty hunter heard small footsteps. They were gentle, and seemed to be going quite slowly. The Mandalorian smiled to himself as he guessed it was you walking around in a bit of a daze from your sleep.
His assumption was quickly confirmed when he walked into the main sitting area of the ship and saw you looking around with quite a confused expression.
However, it seemed you had heard him coming because you quickly spun around to face him, grabbing a nearby pipe that had fallen off his speeder. The Mandalorian almost tripped over his feet when you laughed at yourself after coming to the realization that you were safe on his ship.
"Oh, Lumpy, thank goodness it's only you. I was worried I had been taken by those horrible clones."
The Mandalorian shook his head. How was he supposed to tell you that if something happened to you while he could have been there to help you, hed never forgive himself? Thatd hed probably end up doing something very reckless and stupid because he now had to live in a universe you werent in anymore? It was my duty. Yeah, that ought to do it, now she knows you like her. Go me.
Your smile fell. "She told you to help me, didn't she? My Grandma?"
The bounty hunter remained silent, and you nodded.
"Of course she did."
"I think she knew it was coming, she told me before I left that I was to protect you. I hadn't realized she meant so soon."
You nodded again. "Well, nevertheless, I must thank you greatly, again, for this is now the second time you have saved my life."
It was quiet in the room for a minute, before you spoke up again. "You can drop me off wherever you'd like. I have a feeling I'll only get in your way if I stay. I don't want to be any trouble."
"You could never." I said that way too quickly. But it's true. How could something so innocent and gentle ever get in his way?
You smiled again, causing the butterflies in his tummy to start up again. "Even if I wasn't any trouble, I don't think I'd be much help either."
"What are you good at?" Smooth. Real smooth.
You thought for a moment before answering. "Not much. I can cook, clean, and I'm pretty good at mechanics. I used to fix a lot of pod racers and speeders at one of my older jobs. I can learn how to use them pretty quickly, too."
The mechanics was good, because it would allow the Mandalorian to have an excuse at letting you stay with him on the ship. "Well, if you'd like to stick with me, you can."
"Are you sure that's a good idea?"
Nope. "Yeah."
"I won't be in your way?"
"Thats not possible."
"I still don't think I'll be much help to you."
"I won't ask you to do too much. Just maybe do some repairs on the ship while I'm retrieving a target and maybe be my quick getaway."
"I don't know Lumpy, I just don't think you're realizing what you're getting into. I'm not that great."
Oh, he knew alright. It was a terrible idea to bring you along with him, because only the maker knows all of the possible things that could go wrong. And there were quite a few, but they were all his fault because he gets so caught up in everything you do.
"You can stay."
You shook your head. "It's really whatever you want, Lumpy. This is your ship, I cant intrude anymore than I already have. I can't ask to stay with you, you've already done so much for me."
"Do you want to stay?"
The Mandalorian could not believe how much he wanted your answer to be yes. But, at the same time he could, because who wouldnt want you around? He knew, if you said yes, then you were staying, and that was it. If it was no, he would reluctantly yet whole-heartedly respect your wishes and help you start a good life somewhere else.
The bounty hunter let out a small sigh of relief as you quietly whispered, "Yes, I think so."
"Then stay with me."
You glanced up at him still with that look of uncertainty, which drew him closer to you. He took 3 steps forward, each bringing him closer and closer to you. So close you were standing practically chest to chest.
"Stay with me," he whispered. "Please?"
At first he wasnt sure if you heard him, since he knew that whispering under a mask cant exactly be easily understood, until you slowly nodded. "Okay."
The bounty hunter almost let out an enormous sigh of relief, but caught himself at the last second, nodding instead.
"Then it's decided."
After awkwardly standing there for 30 seconds, the Mandalorian cleared his throat.
"I have some clean clothes somewhere around here you can change into. When we get to Coruscant we can get you some new outfits."
You nodded once more. "Thank you, Lumpy."
The bounty hunter was silent as he walked down the hall to his small room. He noticed that you had made the bed, and more importantly had taken the medicine, which he was grateful for.
He went into the small chest at the foot of his bed and rummaged through it, looking for some clothes he thought might fit you. He didn't have many clothes anymore, since all he wears is his armour now.
But, he was able to find a shirt and a pair of pants at the bottom of the chest that looked to be relatively the same size as you. There was also a clean pair of boxers, but he decided he would leave it up to you if you wanted to where them. He wished he could smell them quickly to make sure they were in fact clean (he has no idea when these were washed), but he opted out of taking off the mask, just in case you came in.
He came back to see you sitting on top of the speeder waiting for him.
The Mandalorian handed you the clothes and pointed towards his room. "There's a bathroom right beside my room if you'd prefer that, or you can just change in my room."
You nodded and gave him a gentle smile as you turned to go change in the bathroom. As you were doing that the bounty hunter went back to go sit in the cockpit while he waited for you, and contemplated what he should do.
Theres now going to be an extra body sleeping in the ship, and there werent anymore rooms. He figured he could give you his room while he slept in the speeder or something. After all, hes slept in much worse. He could try finding another ship, but that would probably take too much time, and he wasnt too sure the money he had would be enough.
Hearing you enter the cockpit broke him out of his thoughts, causing him to look up at you. He smiled beneath his mask as he took in your look of wonder, your gaze being on what was outside the ship.
"Wow, I've never been in hyperspace before, you breathed out.
He nodded, recalling your childhood story on how youve been a slave your whole life.
"Actually, I've never been in space before. I've always been stuck on that stupid planet."
The Mandalorian thought for a moment. "Is there a place that you want to go?" He was curious, did you even know of anything outside that planet?
You took a minute to answer. "Well, in one of Grandma's stories she spoke of a planet so beautiful it almost didn't sound real. I'm not even sure if it is real. It was something like canoe.. or baboo... or maybe it was-"
"Naboo?"
Your eyes lit up with recognition. "Yeah, that's it! Wait, does that mean it's a real place?"
He chuckled quietly under his breath. "Yes it is."
"Wow," you sighed. "Grandma said it was the most beautiful place in the whole galaxy."
The Mandalorian turned in his chair to take a look at your full frame. Of course, these had to be some of his clothes. And of course, you had to look good in them. Really good. So good, he felt his throat close up and only let out a very embarrassing wheeze.
The bounty hunter cleared his throat, extremely grateful the mask could cover up just how red his face had gotten, then asked "Are there any other planets your Grandma told you about?" He mentally let out a sigh of relief in that you didnt seem to notice.
"Hmmmmm I can remember a few. Just a couple of days ago she told me about Scarif, which is also really beautiful, but its under Imperial control and theres no way you can go there. There was also Kashyyyk, although that one was told to me by a Wookiee I worked with, oh! There was-"
"Wait, you speak Wookiee?"
You shrugged. "I understand it much more than I am able to actually pronounce the words."
The Mandalorian nodded, when on the inside he felt shock. If you could speak Wookiee, then there definitely some other talents you had. There had to be, and the bounty hunter was ready to know all of them.
"Oh! There's Alderaan, and I remember there's a planet that's like a big swamp, but I can't remember it's name."
He nodded again. "That's Dagobah."
You looked back up at the stars, and the Mandalorian watched you with an amused expression. "How many planets are there? In the whole galaxy, I mean."
The bounty hunter stopped for a moment. "I think theres about 3 million planets we can live on in our galaxy."
He became amused with the shocked expression that took over your face. "Wow. And I've only been on one in my whole life."
Before he could stop himself, the bounty hunter stood up to face you and whispered "I'll take you to anywhere you want to go. Any place, any time." Oh for Petes sake, get a hold of yourself-
"Thank you Lumpy, but I'm not going to ask that of you. You just go where you need to, and Ill do my best to stay out of your way," you whispered back.
The Mandalorian shook his head. You could never be in my way.
---
About a day and a half later the Mandalorian parked his ship on one of the landing pads and turned towards you.
"I'm taking the bounty to an office about 3 blocks from here. It's connected to a restaurant called Nonchaus Pizza Dogs, which I never understood because the only food they sell stuff like burritos, but that's besides the point. If you need anything, I'll be there, but I need you to stay on the ship, just until I deliver the bounty."
"Okay, Lumpy. Do you know how long you'll be gone?"
The Mandalorian stood up and walked past the speeder, towards the target. "No more than 2 hours. After that I can take you around to buy some clothes."
The bounty hunter saw you nod your head out of the corner of his eye. "Is there anything you need me to do?"
"Just stay hidden in the ship. I have to turn off all the power, so it may get a little cold in here. I would take you with me, but I have a feeling it'd be much safer for you if you stayed here."
He saw you nod once more. "Okay."
As he was on his way to untie the bounty, he noticed you went into his room in his peripherals. Curiosity took over him as he slowly stood up and followed you there.
When he got to his room, he leaned against the door frame as he observed you sitting in his bed reading. Recognition flooded his mind as he squinted at the cover of the book, realizing it was the one book he had actually enjoyed reading front to back. "Where'd you get that?"
You looked up at him and smiled. "It was on your dresser," He followed your finger as it pointed to a piece of furniture that was way too small to call it a dresser. An apologetic frown made its way onto your face as you had a thought. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have gone through your stuff-"
"No no, it's okay. Do you like reading?"
Your frown turned upside down instantly at that question. "Do I?!?" However, the more you thought about it, the more sorrowful you seemed to become, and a sad smile graced your features as you spoke. "Well, I really liked Grandma's stories, and I figured that if they had to be anything like that, they must be amazing. I've only read a few books in my life, and none of them have ever compared to hers. I'm still on the hunt."
The Mandalorian could see you visibly begin to get more upset the more you talked about your Grandma. "If you'd like we can get some books too while you pick some clothes."
You looked up at the bounty hunter, a melancholy smile still present, and he could feel his heart sink a little at your dampened mood. "Thank you, Lumpy."
When he saw you go back to your book, the Mandalorian took one last look back at you (still beautiful, even when upset), before he went to untie the bounty from his ship and deliver it to the client.
He grabbed another bowl of cold water and splashed it on his target's face; he did not want to carry him. At all.
For good measure, kicked the idiot in the stomach, then grabbed the collar of its shirt and stood it up. The client wanted it alive, but didn't say anything about the injuries. If he had to he could just say the guy put up a fight and it was necessary.
He untied it only from the rope that was attached to the ship, and loosened the ones wrapped around his ankles. After shoving it forward, the bounty hunter spoke in a very threatening voice. "Get moving."
The Mandalorian did his best to make the process go as quick and smooth as he as possible. He did not want to keep you in his ship alone and unprotected for longer than necessary. In only an hour and 15 minutes he managed to turn in his target (good riddance), retrieve his reward and obtain another bounty that he would get to after he made sure you had everything you needed.
When he walked back into his ship, he was relieved to see you fast asleep in his bed with the book laying open in your lap.
The bounty hunter gently kneeled next to the bed, dogeared the corner of the page you were on, placed the book on the nightstand, and, after taking a minute to admire the small smile adorning your face from the dream you were having, he rubbed your arm soothingly and whispered "Y/N."
You hummed, and he grinned as he watched your eyes open slowly.
"We gotta go get you some stuff now."
You looked at the clock next to your bed and whispered, "Wow, you were quick."
"I didn't want to keep you waiting long. Come on, let's go."
The Mandalorian got up and exited the room, and when he felt your presence behind him, he continued off the ship, making sure the hatch was closed and turned to face you.
"I'd ask where you want to start, but I have a feeling you have no idea."
You shook your head, confirming the bounty hunter's suspicion. "I just don't think I need much, only a few shirts and pants. I don't want to take up too much room on your ship."
"Okay, well then I have a better idea of where we should go."
"Better than Coruscant? For shopping? But look at all the stores." You emphasized your words by pointing to the hundreds of shops and businesses lit up with their advertisements plastered everywhere.
"I have a feeling that you're gonna like the clothes much better somewhere else."
You giggled at the situation as you re-entered the ship. "If you bring me to some planet filled with armour like yours, I think Im gonna pass."
The Mandalorian chuckled as he answered, "No nothing like that."
Unfortunately, for gas and travelling time purposes, it would take the bounty hunter a whole other day to travel to where he wanted to take you, but he had a feeling it would be worth it.
He noticed that you had finished the book way faster than he ever could, and went to his small storage compartment to grab you more.
When you finished the second book he had given you in just over an hour, the bounty hunter went looking in the very back of his ship. Amidst the pile of old food wrappers, papers of very old targets he kept when his hologram transmitter broke, spare parts he picked up wherever he found them, and many, many, many other things, he found a tabletop version of Dejarik.
The bounty hunter set it out on the top of the small table he had made for 2, and taught you the basics of the holochess game. The two of you spent at least 4 hours duelling at the game, with you snacking on some chips he found and the bounty hunter losing at 95% percent of the games. You cheered in victory at every win, but what seemed to make you laugh the most was when he just sat there in contemplation on what the hell he did so wrong to make him lose again.
He taught you the game hours ago and you were already better than him. But, he as not complaining at all because the friendly competition came with much laughter and many jokes. There were also questions you asked each other, but never that many.
After being in hyperspace for another 22 hours or so, the Mandalorian had finally arrived at the place you mentioned you wanted to see most: Naboo.
Before he entered the planet's atmosphere, he raced towards his room to retrieve you and show you where you were going. He couldn't wait another minute to see the reaction on your face.
When you entered the cockpit, the Mandalorian had a small smile on his face when he heard you gasp. "Wow, Lumpy, it's so... blue, and... green."
"It's Naboo."
The bounty hunter kept in his laugh as you whipped your head around to face him. "Naboo? We're going to Naboo?"
When he nodded, your smile grew tenfold. "Maker, we're going to Naboo!"
He sat back down in the chair to enter the atmosphere of Naboo. After a minute, when the ship was slowly descending onto a landing pad, the bounty hunter felt you wrap your arms around his neck to give him a hug from behind. It was difficult for him to concentrate on keeping the ship steady because all he could focus on was how you were so close to him, yet so far because of his stupid armour.
When you whispered "Thank you, Lumpy," the Mandalorian had to clear his throat to keep his voice from shaking so you wouldn't notice the effect you had on him.
"Of course." The bounty hunter landed his ship at a much slower pace than usual (he definitely was not trying to make the moment last as long as possible), and turned off all of the ship's systems. After he heard you exit the cockpit, he took a deep breath and followed you out, seeing you waiting by the closed ramp.
He grabbed his weapon and opened the hatch, letting the ramp go down so you two could exit.
While you were too busy looking at anything and everything your eyes landed on, the Mandalorian stuck to watching you look on with awe. He had never thought he could feel so happy, yet when he saw the look of excitement on your face, it was really hard to do anything but that. Every once in a while do a sweep to make sure no threats were near, but he mainly focused on you and how wonderful you were.
Before you went shopping for clothes, the Mandalorian brought you to a little inn where he bought a room. He didn't have the intention of taking a nap, however. The room included a bathroom, and that room included shower.
"I don't think we're going to stay very long, but these showers are much better than the one in my ship, so I figured we could get you some clothes after."
Even though these showers still weren't the greatest, they would hopefully make you feel less grimy, because he knew what it was like to get sand everywhere.
The bounty hunter waited patiently on the bed with his weapon in hand as you showered. He could hear you humming a tune to yourself, which had to be your favourite song because this was certainly not the first time he heard the soft melody pass your lips.
Your shower seemed to be on the longer side, but that was understandable. Who knows when your last proper clean was.
He heard the water shut off, and about 5 minutes later you emerged from the bathroom.
Nothing could have prepared the Mandalorian for what he saw next.
You walked out wearing the same clothes he had given you a few days prior, but this time, since your skin was a bit damp making the shirt cling to your figure, highlighting some features that were well hidden behind the baggy clothing.
Your wet hair was let down, framing your face in the most breathtaking way he had ever seen. Your skin glistened with some of the water that didn't get wiped off, and it looked even softer and smoother than it did before.
The dirt that covered your face was now gone, allowing the bounty hunter to perfectly see even the tiniest of details. The bags were still under your eyes, but weren't as prominent as before, probably from all of the sleep you got on his ship. There were a few freckles that he hadn't noticed before dotted around your face. Your eyebrows now had a defined shape since they weren't hidden from the dirt anymore, allowing your expressions to show even more emotion.
Your nose, jawline and cheekbones were more visible and prominent, defining your face in a whole different way. A very good way, he must say.
And, most importantly, you genuinely looked happier. He noticed that you still seemed melancholy, which was understandable, you had just watched your Grandma get shot. But that shower seemed to lighten you up; you stood taller, and carried yourself in a more confident manner.
The Mandalorian started tracing your jawline with his eyes and continuing down your neck, before he realized what he was doing and very quickly looked away. He did not want you to see him staring, completely forgetting that he was wearing a mask and you wouldn't see his eyes anyway.
He cleared his throat and stood up, looking through his pockets to make sure he brought money. He did.
"Wow, Lumpy, I don't think I've felt this clean in all my life. Didn't you say this was just a dingy motel bathroom? That was fantastic."
"Are you ready?"
"Is it okay if my hair is wet?"
The Mandalorian smiled softly under the mask. "Yes."
You nodded. "Then yes, I'm ready."
The bounty hunter lead you out of the motel room and towards the heart of the city. He grinned again as he saw you pause in his peripherals, admiring everything you saw. He turned to face you. "Are you coming?"
You snapped your head towards him, wearing an apologetic smile. Running to catch up with him, you answered, "Yes, I'm sorry."
He chuckled. "You've got nothing to apologize for, I know you're excited."
"Where are we going first?"
"There's a market a few streets from here. We can buy you clothes, and some food for the ship to. And I believe there's a book store just down that way," he stated as he pointed towards his left.
After he saw your nod of agreement, the Mandalorian stayed silent. He found himself enjoying the walking in comfortable silence, though he knew it wouldn't last long. As soon as you got to the little market, the bounty hunter heard your gasp.
"Oh my goodness, there's so many people! And there's so much stuff! Where do I start?" When you looked at him with one of your heart stopping smiles, the Mandalorian had to clear his throat before he responded.
"It seems to go in a circle. Pick a side and we'll make our way around."
You giggled. "Okay."
You chose to go to the left first, opting to make the circle go clockwise.
You looked to the first tent, which had many different types of jewellery covering each of the four tables. He noticed the woman behind the tables was wearing something much different to the simple robes and plain dresses everyone else was wearing.
She wore a bright red two-piece with gold accents, the skirt pooling on the ground. Attached to the neck and waist of the top were small, yet many diamonds and jewels. A red shawl draped over her shoulders to match the outfit, with gold lacing the bottom.
Her middle length hair matched her brown eyes, and her skin was tan from all of the sun that shines in Naboo. She was taller, and the bounty hunter could see beneath her skirt one of her feet poked out, displaying a short red and gold heel.
The necklace she wore seemed to be made of pure diamonds, as did her earrings. He could feel your nerves from a mile away. He wanted to pull you into his arms and assure you that no one else's beauty could even come close to yours. However, he could understand why you would feel intimidated. She looked to be dressed like royalty (which is strange, why would royalty be selling cheap jewellery in a tiny flea market?). You probably thought she looked like a goddess because you had never seen an outfit so... expensive.
"Look, one of her earrings looks like it costs more than my entire life. They're beautiful. She's beautiful. Look at her hair, it's like the wind is bowing before her feet, it's so magical. Wow." The Mandalorian didn't think you realized that you were whispering these things out loud, but he smiled nonetheless. Bingo.
When he laughed through his nose at your words, you turned him and gave him a confused stare. "What? I'm serious, Lumpy, look at her hair! The wind is just" as you were saying this you were making motions with your hands and hair, making it look like it was flowing beautifully like in those unrealistic commercials you had seen in the bar at times to emphasize your point.
He laughed again before he gently nudged you toward the woman. "Go on, I'll be back here if you need me."
The Mandalorian watched with amusement as you slowly made your way up to the woman behind the small tables.
"Hello."
She looked up and beamed. "Hi, how can I help you?"
You froze for a minute, which made the bounty hunter's eyebrows furrow. He was about to step up and encourage you it was okay before he heard you say, "You're beautiful."
The girl giggled and replied, "Thank you, but I don't think I can compare to you."
You gave her a look of bewilderment, which made the Mandalorian almost laugh out loud. "Me?"
"Yes, you! You don't have to wear fancy clothes to look nice! You should see me in the morning when I first wake up, my hair's all over the place, my eyes are all crusty and, you know that bit of that dry saliva on the corner of your mouth? Yeah, that's me every morning."
You laughed and responded with "Can't be as bad as smelling like old people all the time and having sand down your bra literally every minute ever. And that sand goes everywhere."
The girl smiled and stuck out her hand. "I'm Hana."
You grinned and took her hand, making the Mandalorian happy you made a friend.
"Y/N."
"What brings you to Naboo?"
You glanced back at the Mandalorian, which yet again made him feel weak in the knees (he's gotta find a way to fix that), then answered Hana.
"I need some new clothes. All of my old ones got wrecked."
The girl's face lit up like she had just won the lottery. "Oooooo, girl shopping. D'you mind if I tag along? There's not much going on here anyways."
You nodded furiously, which made Hana laugh again. "I have no idea what I'm doing. Oh, wait." You turned back to the bounty hunter and asked him, "Lumpy, can Hana help me pick out some new clothes?"
He gave you a small thumbs up, and felt the butterflies flutter when you giggled at his actions.
The Mandalorian followed you around for 2 hours after that. He kept his distance, and was constantly on high alert. His eyes kept sweeping over the entire area to ensure there was no danger, though he did find himself getting distracted by many of the things that you did:
The look of awe with every new tent you approached. The look of surprise, yet giddiness you felt when Hana linked your arms together (he made a mental note that you liked this, since you seemed to always go back to this position with her). The little scrunch your nose did every time you saw a piece of clothing you didn't like. The small laugh you did when Hana made a joke, no matter how corny and terrible it was. The annoyed glances you gave when your hair flew into your face from a particularly harsh gust of wind, and the look of wonder you gave Hana when you asked how the wind made her look better and you a child that's rolled around in a sandstorm for the better part of 6 days.
Each and every small quirk made his heart swell that much more. When you put back every item you thought cost too much, thinking the bounty hunter didn't notice. (He did.) The look of disbelief on how delicious the food you ate for lunch was, even though Hana kept insisting it wasn't even that good. The look of surprise you gave when a little girl in a purple dress came up to you and gave you a flower. The small tear that ran down your cheek when you bent down and gave her a tight hug. The laughter that was contagious when a small band came to the market and Hana taught you how to dance one of the traditional Naboo dances.
The thing that the Mandalorian will never, ever forget was when you tried on a dress.
"No, Hana, that's way too much."
"Just try it on, just for fun." Both he and Hana could see how you kept glancing back at it, a look of wanting upon your face every time your eyes made contact with the dress.
Reluctantly you went behind a privacy screen to get changed, and the Mandalorian turned to Hana. "What are you doing down here."
He knew that she wasn't just some pedestrian trying to sell some old things for money, and he was curious as to why on earth a person of hierarchy would be down here.
Hana shrugged. "My sister's the queen, and I get sick of all the prim and proper bull everyone expects me to do. So, my Grandma and I make jewellery and once a month I come out here to give them to anyone that wants them. Normally I would wear less noticeable clothing, but... I don't know."
After a minute, she raised an eyebrow. "And what are you doing here? This doesn't seem like your kind of scene."
The bounty hunter's voice got quiet. She was right, a Mandalorian is never usually even seen with a person, let alone following one like a lost puppy. "She said she'd never been, and she really wanted to come here. Her Grandma used this place as the paradise in her stories."
Hana nodded, and seemed hesitant as she asked her next question. "And why is she with you?"
"There was an attack in her hometown, and I got her out."
Hana contemplated her next words before deciding to just bite the bullet. "Doesn't seem like the Mandalorian type to save a damsel in distress."
"She's much more than a damsel in distress."
"And that's why you won't let her go?" The bullet has now been bitten.
Before the bounty hunter could respond, you stepped from behind the screen. The Mandalorian did a double take, and he thought he was going to pass out. You seemed shy and uncertain, but man oh man, did you look angelic.
The dress was what seemed to be (Y/F/C), because this colour was a common occurrence in most of the clothing you picked. The dress was fitted at the top, hugging you in all the right places (though he could tell that the front went a bit lower than you were used to). There were thin straps on your shoulders that held the dress up, and the diamonds that covered the top portion sparkled in the sunlight.
The bottom portion of the dress was made of a material the bounty hunter had no clue of what the name was, but it looked silky smooth and was loose, flowing all the way to the ground in the most elegant way. Your hair had long since dried and curled just a bit, framing your face gracefully.
When you turned around the Mandalorian gasped so hard he started coughing, as he noticed there was a slit on one side of the dress that went up to your mid thigh, and your back was completely exposed. He saw the wound from the shot you got a few days ago was starting to look less red and angry, which relieved him quite a bit.
When you turned back around to face him, he was speechless. No amount of words could ever describe how stunning you looked to him. He was grateful when Hana spoke up because he could not.
"Y/N... oh my god, you look fantastic! Look at you!" she squealed and ran up to you, playing with your hair and asking you to turn a few times, showering you with compliments and oooos and aaaahs while you just giggled and shrugged, looking as though you didn't deserve her praise.
"I don't know... it seems a bit much. What do you think, Lumpy?"
Well, shoot.
"Uhm, uh- I-I-It looks- It looks, good, yeah, it looks good." Maker, I stutter now too?
The Mandalorian could see as Hana rolled her eyes and mocked him. "Looks goo- Y/N, you could outshine the Queen, oh my god."
"Stop it, I could not."
Oh yes you could, and the bounty hunter knew it. If only he could come up with the words to tell you too, but instead he was a blubbering, and quite frankly embarrassing mess.
"Yes you could, now lets go." Hana demanded as she pulled you by your elbow.
"Wha- go where? I have to take the dress off."
She snickered. "Just wear it for now. We need to show you off." She looked to the woman behind the table selling it. "Aurora, can she wear the dress around town? We'll bring it back."
When Aurora nodded, Hana linked your arms again and started pulling you towards her tent. "Come with me, I have the perfect necklace that would match."
The Mandalorian waited 30 seconds after you left before walking towards Aurora. She was an older woman, with olive wrinkled skin and grey hair pulled back into a braid.
"How much for the dress?"
"What currency do you have?"
The bounty hunter emptied his pockets and looked at what was left in his hand. "All I've got left is Corellian Credits."
"I'll give it to you for 1000."
"1000! That's outrageous, my armour costs less than that-"
"1000 credits. These clothes were made for the Queen, and she simply doesn't want them anymore."
"I hardly think the Queen is in need of any more money-"
"1000 credits, boy. No more, no less."
The bounty hunter sighed and looked down at the ground, thinking. He just got the reward of 2500 from the last target, and he figured if he got the next job done quick enough he could fix his ship with the reward from the next bounty. He'd need to be careful with his spending on fuel for the ship when he went to pick some up.
After a minute of staring at the ground, cursing the woman who sat behind the table with a nasty little smirk, he looked up and saw you, giggling and twirling in the dress, looking the happiest he thinks he's ever seen you.
He hung his head low as he started counting out the money, knowing full well that if that dress was 10 000 credits he'd still find a way to make it yours. He counted his blessings though because he was very thankful with was not 10 000 credits.
The Mandalorian sighed again and gave her the correct amount.
"Thank you," she said after placing the money in her little tin and grinning at him with a knowing smile.
He responded only by getting as far away from Aurora as possible before he made a rash decision, and instead chose to focus on you under Hana's tent. His heart beat a bit faster when he saw the smile on your face after Hana did indeed find a matching necklace, a pair of earrings and a clip pinned to the top of your head.
When you noticed the Mandalorian walking towards you, you giggled and ran up to him. "Lumpy, look what Hana gave to me! Aren't they nice?"
He hummed in response, allowing you to turn back to the woman in red, your back nearly pressed against the bounty hunter's chest. He did his very best to stay still because he knew if you got any closer, you would be able to hear his heart beating out of his chest. "Oh my goodness, are you sure Hana? This seems like too much."
She dismissed your words instantly with a flick of her hand. "Please, I made them to give to someone, and they look perfect on you."
"I bought the dress," he mumbled, hoping if he said it quietly enough you wouldn't be able to hear him.
To his misfortune you totally did hear him and whipped around to meet the Mandalorian's gaze so quickly you tripped over your own feet. He reached out and caught you by your hips swiftly, cursing himself and trying not to pay too much attention to what he did as you whispered, "What?"
He swallowed, steadying you as your arms rested on his shoulders and he repeated, a bit louder this time, "I bought the dress."
He frowned when you started shaking your head. "No, no Lumpy I don't need the dress, go get your money back, really, I don't need it-"
"Y/N."
Tears started trickling down your face as you continued, not hearing the Mandalorian in your ramble. "- it's just a silly dress, I probably won't even wear it that much so it'll be a waste to buy it, please, go get your money back-"
"Y/N." He kept his voice gentle, but still pressed on.
"-let me go get changed, and I'll put it back on the table-"
"Y/N!" He cupped your face with both of his hands, effectively silencing your ramble. He wiped your tears with his thumbs as he whispered, "The dress is yours."
He sighed in relief as you went on your tiptoes and wrapped your arms around his neck, hugging him tightly hugged him. He snaked his arms around your waist and squeezed lightly as you mumbled a "Thank you."
"Of course." He replied in a voice so soft he though you might not have heard him, but the Mandalorian realized you did as you squeezed just a bit tighter.
When you stepped back, the Mandalorian couldn't help but follow you for a split second before retreating, not wanting to let go of you just yet. He held himself back though, because this was not the time, nor the place.
"Hana, thank you so much for your help."
The girl being spoken of shook her head. "It was fun. I have to go for a few minutes, but I think you need to see something before you go. Just walk down that street for a few minutes and you'll find it. Also, don't leave without saying goodbye!"
She ran down an alleyway in the opposite direction that she pointed, and you linked arms with the Mandalorian as you pulled him along. "Come on!"
He was glad you were feeling happy again, because he couldn't stand the thought of you being sad, especially since he was the main cause.
The walk you shared was silent, but comfortable as you enjoyed the presence of one another and the noise of busy people from all around.
---
Hana was right. Not even 10 minutes of walking down the direction she pointed the alley ended, and it opened up to a massive field, filled with grass and flowers of all different colours. The field seemed to go on forever to the left and right, but straight ahead, what looked to be about a mile away, were massive waterfalls.
The Mandalorian smiled lightly beneath the mask as he heard your gasp of excitement, "Oh, Lumpy, look!"
He lead you forward, towards the water, but kept his eyes on you to take in the look on your face. The pure joy that emanated off you was contagious, and it made him want to scoop you up and carry you away into the sunset forever.
The sun did nothing but damage to him to make him sweat in his armour, but it made your skin glow and your hair shine, so he was not complaining at all.
When you were close to the edge of the water you ran forward, and the Mandalorian watched as you knelt down and put your hands in. You giggled as you did so and looked up at him.
"It's much colder than I expected."
"It's a lot of water, and there's not that much to heat it up." The Mandalorian grinned under his mask as he got an evil idea and slowly bent down, dipping one of his hands in the water.
You laughed again. "Okay, smarty pants, but just so you know-" you were effectively cut off with a gasp as the Mandalorian reached his hand in the water and splashed a small bit onto your face.
He actually laughed out loud, and really hard too as you tried to look at him angrily while wiping your face.
"Hey! That's no fair! It's not like I can even get you back, your protected by your armour!"
He laughed even more as you still splashed some water onto him, satisfied that you at least managed to get him even though it had no effect whatsoever.
The two of you laughed some more while splashing each other, and you pointing out even the smallest of details that made you excited.
The bounty hunter sat back on the grass as he witnessed you gasp again and run over to one of those gigantic rhino things. He was shocked when it let you run straight up to it and start petting it. You giggled as you gently stroked it's head, humming the same tune you did in the shower earlier.
The Mandalorian was feeling very conflicted. As much as he wanted you to stay with him, he knew that you belonged somewhere much nicer. You deserved a place that gave you unlimited happiness without the fear of getting hurt.
This was a very nice place, and now that you made a friend, he knew that you could stay with Hana. She could take care of you much better than he ever could. She was royalty, after all, and she could provide so much more.
He knew that was what Hana was implying when she was asking her questions earlier, and it made sense. It didn't seem fair to make you come along with him to a war zone when you could be safe amongst new family and friends.
And she was hinting that it wouldn't be a bad thing if she stayed here instead.
As much as he hated it, he knew that this was the better option for you. So that's what he offered.
"Do you like it here?"
After you nodded in confirmation, the Mandalorian continued.
"Maybe you should... stay here."
You snapped your head around to face him, about to interrupt him right there, but the bounty hunter only pressed on. "You would be much happier here, and much safer, and you have Hana now, you could stay with her. She can help you live the life you were supposed to live, not one filled with the constant fear of 'am I going to make it through today.'" He paused, catching his breath. "I wish I could make this your everyday, but it can't be. It's going to be dangerous and serious, and not beautiful and safe, and-"
"Lumpy, stop!" That shut him up instantly, but he needed to convince you to stay here. It was for the better. "I'm not leaving you! I love it here, but I don't think I could live like this everyday! I like the excitement that comes with you, the adventure, the many places I'm gonna get to see! I know it's going to get rough at times, and we're both probably going to get hurt at some point, but I don't care. Unless... you want me to stay because you want me gone?"
He shook his head quickly, "No, it's not that I don't want you with me, I do, but-"
"Then it's settled." For emphasis you took his masked head between your hands and pressed your forehead against his. Not caring about the tears running down your cheeks again, you continued. "You asked me to stay with you. I'm staying."
The bounty hunter started shaking his head again, feeling the after begin to pool in his eyes as well. "I don't want you to get hurt," he mumbled quietly so voice wouldn't crack.
"I think it would hurt a lot more if you left without me."
The Mandalorian sighed. He was about to begin protesting again when you whispered, "Please, Lumpy."
Why did you have to be so stubborn? Why did you have to be so good? Why did you have to make him want to give you everything you've ever wanted, and more? Why did you have to make it impossible to say no to?
"Okay." The smile that you gave him in return was already making him agree with his decision.
"Thank you."
The high you gave him would have been bone crushing if he wasn't head to toe in bullet proof armour, and it seemed you had noticed that too.
---
"Grandma was right, it really does feel lumpy."
When you walked back to the little market, the bounty hunter saw Hana standing in her tent again. Her face lit up as she saw you walking towards her. "Well, did you see it?"
You nodded in excitement, "We did, and it was amazing!"
She beaned and walked around the table. "I'm glad you thought so."
Your smile had started to go a little flat as you walked up to her and gave her a hug. "Thank you so much for everything you've done, but we have to go now."
The Mandalorian watched as she nodded and gave you a squeeze back. "Of course. Please come back and visit, I don't have too many normal people in my life." You giggled as you stepped back and wiped a stray tear from your face.
He held out his elbow to you, which you gladly hooked your arm through. He gave a curt nod towards Hana, causing her to nod back in reply, and gave a small wave to you as you started to walk back to the ship.
The walk back was once again silent, but the bounty hunter had a feeling it was because you had been reflecting on your day. "Thank you for taking me here, Lumpy. It truly was one of the best days of my life."
He hummed back as you climbed up the ramp to his ship and went into his room.
The bounty hunter assumed it was because you were putting all the clothes you bought away to be washed, and started up the ship. He heard the door open as you stepped in, and could see you admiring the view as the ship rose up into space.
When the bounty hunter put the ship into hyperspace, there was silence for a few minutes.
It was more than likely because you both came to the realization that your lives were never going to be the same ever again. This had happened to both of you, a long time ago.
The only difference is that this time, your lives were changing for the better.

Hey, guess what, I’ve found another screen rant I want to react to! I wasn’t planning to do any more but, reading through this article, I just have SO many problems with it... So Let’s do another, agree or disagree with a Screenrant article made by someone with no bias at all. (Sarcasm for the last part by the way.) So let’s see:
Agreed with this point. People act like, if the characters weren’t on screen then they disappeared or something. Maybe they were just living their own lives?
... I don’t even understand this article. Apparently this is 20 things people get wrong and this point is that the timeline can make sense, but then OP goes on to say “However, the more characters were introduced and the more worlds the characters ventured into, it became clearer and clearer that time didn't work the same way everywhere... However, in a world of fairytales, expecting anything more than that is simply asking too much. What does it matter, exactly, when some of these events took place as long as we know that they were a long time ago in a universe not at all like our own?”
Like, so that means this isn’t something people get wrong - the timeline DOESN’T make sense - so what the hell is it doing in this article? You can’t claim you’ve solved it just because you shrug and go “yeah but it’s magic so what do you expect?”
I mean the text directly conflicts the title/bullet point. Luckily I can still safely say I disagree, both with the title and the text because the timeline became f*cked, and just making an embarrassed shrugging face doesn’t change that.
I can’t even say disagree because this is just plain wrong! I don’t quite understand this writer. I can’t tell what they’re deal is, like did they just give a poor title to their article?
Season 1 - The Original Curse Season 2 - Belle and Sneezy lost their memories. Season 3 - Everyone lost a year. Season 5 - Camelot Season 6 - Emma lost her memories Season 7 - Another Curse.
Notice how I left out 4? Well this is where I’m getting confused because this is what OP had to say about Season 4: “While season four dabbled with alternate universes, memories were never wiped or reset in the way they were in every other season.”
... But their memories WERE wiped! They were essentially in a curse because their memories WERE wiped and they WERE given new identities just like the original curse. So yes, memory wipes did in fact happen every single season!
So I can’t agree or disagree because maybe some people do call Ruby a lesbian, but most everyone I talk to calls her bi... So I’ma just skip this one.
Note: She’s bi people. This is canon. If you don’t agree then tough shit.
Agreed, there’s plenty of other ways true love can be proven. TLK is probably just the most convenient, lol.
Kind of agree? I mean I think most people do know and acknowledge this but I guess it can sometimes escape people without realising in passing sentences?
This is true. It was a lame and terrible reveal that made no sense but it was revealed.
... Like, I’m getting confused again. Because this title either doesn’t fit or the writer lives under a rock because no one get’s this wrong! Everyone - rightfully - calls out Zelena for what she did. Even Zelena fans admit what she did was messed up!
... I do agree, I don’t think she made up for all the awful things she did and she definitely became “one of the team” way too quickly for my liking. (I’m hesitant because I suddenly have an idea what side of the fandom wrote this article and I can pretty much predict where it’s going.)
AND THERE IT IS!
DISAGREE. DISAGREE. DISAGREE. DISAGREE. DISAGREE. DISAGREE.
“Nothing says good guy like being an older man who takes advantage of a young girl, impregnates her, and lets her go to jail for crimes you yourself committed.” First off, we don’t know his age. Second, he didn’t ‘impregnant’ her. She got pregnant. It takes two to tango though I doubt the writer knows this. And third, Emma went to jail for HER crimes. Sorry, dear writer, but let me just fill you in. Aiding and abetting a fellow criminal IS A CRIME! Emma did wrong and she was punished for it. I don’t necessarily agree with what Neal did but he is not responsible for where Emma ended up.
“Even further, nothing says good guy like someone who mocks the woman he allegedly loves for the years of trauma, suffering, and scars she endured as a result of your callous, selfish behavior.” ... WHEN?!
“... Neal Cassidy became more and more like the selfish, frequently malicious parents who raised him.” ... Again, WHEN?! Like seriously, selfish maybe but malicious?!
“In no world would he have been the right man for Emma or a good father to Henry because he could never accept accountability for any of his many wrongdoings.” Except, you know, Neal knew Henry all of five minutes and was already dedicated to being a great dad to him and literally was WAY better at being a father to Henry than Hook ever was to the kid. And I added the Hook part because my God, the writer of this article couldn’t be more obvious a CS shipper if they had every sentence end with swans and pirate flags.
It’s amazing how, even dead, they’re still threatened by Neal’s character.
Maybe this was true in S6, but by S7 they had clearly retconned it, making the Wish Realm a very real place. Otherwise there’s a ton of plot holes and you’ve got to be a real idiot to say you’d rather accept plot holes than that the Wish Realm might actually be real.
(Also, just saying, another terrible title because what happened to Emma and Regina when they were in the Wish Realm very much DID happen. So again, really poor titles for this article that clearly doesn’t know what it’s point is.)
... She VIOLATED everyone’s minds by erasing their memories and TRIED TO MURDER ZELENA!
She may have had good intentions but that doesn’t change the fact that she was a villain for a season! Dude, have you never heard the phrase “the road to hell was paved with good intentions”?! I’ll defend Emma turning Hook into a Dark One for sure, but trying to completely ignore the awful things she did?! Jesus Christ!
Again... What? OP... Everyone already KNOWS this. This article is meant to be things people gets wrong but, honestly, I think OP’s the only idiot who gets things wrong at this point. So I’m once again torn because I agree with the statement but I don’t agree that this is something people get wrong.
*Sigh* OP’s giving me a migraine. Not because their statement is incorrect, but because all their reasoning is!
“Regina, as we know, went back and forth to points outside of Maine many times during the preceding 28 years.” It was actually explained, by Regina herself to Hook in Season 2, that because she (and he) had no cursed memories, crossing the town line would not affect them.
“Greg and Tamara are also able to cross the town lines, with Greg even remembering the tiny town for years and years after a traumatic encounter within it during his childhood.” Again. The town line affects people who ARE CURSED! This is made very clear! Henry can also cross the town line when he went to get Emma.
The title, once again, is misleading. People are able to leave - so long as they don’t CROSS THE TOWN LINE. That’s the part CURSED people are not able to do.
I’ve given up Agreeing and Disagreeing at this point. OP’s points are making my brain hurt so let’s just move on.
You’re right OP. It did serve a purpose. It’s purpose was to be a cash grab!
Apparently OP’s excuse is that Anna and Elsa helped Emma come into her own as a magic user? Like yeah, I’m calling bullshit. Emma had no problem using her magic until they brought Frozen in, then they made a whole storyline of Emma having problems just to justify having Elsa struggle and then help her with it.
And after they left they were barely even mentioned. So, again. NO PURPOSE. (Apart from a cash grab.)
Okay, so actually, I do agree. Regina is still Henry’s mum but the fact is, his adoption can’t be legal because Regina would need to have lied on her application and all the usual checks usually done for people wanting to adopt couldn’t possibly have happened.
I was going to agree on technicality but you know what? No.
DISAGREE!
Just because the couples aren’t perfect doesn’t make them toxic. (Using OP’s examples:) “Robin's relationship with Regina results in his being repeatedly assaulted and fathering a child as a result of that assault.” Wow, dude, wait to blame the girlfriend for some of the bad stuff that happened in Robin’s life. I sure feel sorry for whoever you end up with if this is how you see it. “Hook and Emma frequently lie to one another as well,” Lying does not equal a toxic relationship! Certain lies, maybe, but general lying is just what people do when they’re embarrassed or ashamed or upset. What counts is what you’re lying about and also whether or not you come clean about it.
The only one I’ll agree with is RumBelle but even then OP completely misses the reason WHY they’re a toxic relationship. Instead they generalise it into very un-toxic details.
... Again... Like... I agree with the statement but NO ONE GETS THIS WRONG!
OP is clearly just using this article as an excuse to bash Regina. And I’m not a Regina fan, but no, dude, if you’re gonna do this then make a “20 of the worst things Regina ever did” list. Not a “20 things people get wrong” and then list a bunch of things that one in ten people gets wrong!
And now OP’s repeating. Because I’m pretty sure this was covered in the 4th one? Like, agree. I guess. But it feels like OP was running out of things and figured Regina bashing again would be too obvious or something.
Okay. Now this is something a lot of people won’t agree with but... I do.
I agree the show was intended to be Emma’s story and that it then got popular and other characters got popular and it branched out into something more.
... However OP is still a colossus idiot because they ended on this sentence:
“It's what made the concept of a seventh season without almost any of the Charmings such a laughable concept - and such a colossal failure, as well.” And while Season 7 may not be the masterpiece I pretend it is to piss of anti’s, it is also far from the worst. OP just hates it because their fav wasn’t centre stage and they’re bitter as hell.
Wow this was probably the stupidest article yet. OP either clearly doesn’t know what they were meant to be doing (a list of things people often forget about the show) or they just wanted to make a list where they bitched a few points and couldn’t be bothered to think of a catchy title or reason why. Either way, OP’s an idiot and most of these points are ridiculously dumb.

12 ‘Unpopular’ Viddy Game Opinions
I’ve seen this topic floating around a lot, but didn’t think I had enough ‘unpopular but maybe not’ opinions about games to make a post. Turns out I do! So if you see this and I say something blasphemous, remember it’s just my opinion and my personal experiences with the games I list. Hope you enjoy or hey, maybe even agree with some of this!
Note: Can’t stress enough. This is just me. Also, spoilers under the cut!
12. The opening of Kingdom Hearts II isn’t as terrible as everyone says
Okay, so it’s not brilliant, but at the same time, I don’t think it’s the worst. For those not in the know, KH2′s opening is a basically a massive slog where you play as a character you don’t know or care about with seemingly no real link to the events of the previous game. The general consensus is that there’s some interesting stuff in here, but it’s buried among endless dialogue that really doesn’t mean much. And they’re right, but I really think there’s some great stuff here that people tend to gloss over. The music and the motif of Twilight Town is atmospheric, there’s some genuinely intriguing plot elements that are woven into Roxas’ story and believe it or not, the stuff that happens here is intrinsic to the rest of the game. So yeah, it drags on a little, but I don’t think KH2 would be miles better without this opening.
11. I loved Breath of the Wild’s final boss
One of the problems I see talked about with Breath of the Wild is that the boss fights are fairly mediocre, especially the very last one, Dark Beast Ganon. And I couldn’t disagree more. I think every boss in the game is wonderfully crafted, intense, challenging and great for testing you on what you’ve learned throughout the game by encouraging you to make creative use of your slate powers and the flurry rush technique. And while Mr. Pig Man at the end here is sort of easy and short, it serves as a brilliantly epic finale to damn near perfect game. While the difficulty is mostly gone after the mammoth fight with Calamity Ganon, it’s still just as intense as you frantically fire off arrows into the massive beast in front of you. Plus, the design of this thing is one of the best looking monsters in the game, so I really don’t understand the dislike for this ending.
10. I really like Crash of the Titans
Okay, so maybe childhood nostalgia has something to do with this pick, but every Crash fan I’m aware of seems to hate this game. But I don’t really know where the hate comes from! I played the PS2 version of this and I thought it was a genuinely fun 3D platformer with a variety of locations, good visuals, well-designed boss battles and even a vague story you can sort of follow! The game’s main gameplay feature is also brilliantly integrated, as using Aku Aku to possess various monsters throughout the game keeps everything interesting. One thing I will say though, that tiger dude you have to fight about halfway through is the most annoying thing I’ve ever had to endure in a game.
9. Life Is Strange: Before the Storm is BAD
I loved Life Is Strange when it first dropped, so I was beyond excited when they announced a prequel from Chloe’s perspective. But I really think they dropped the ball and they dropped it hard. But everyone else seems to adore this game! For me, this wasn’t a touch on the original. For a start, they dropped out one of the main mechanics of the first game, the time travel, which they then replaced with a much less interesting ‘Backtalk’ feature, which was then only used about twice throughout the game. Instead of interesting, developed characters reacting to genuinely dangerous or heartfelt situations, it felt to me like a bunch of one-dimensional teenagers who are edgy for the sake of being edgy. Chloe spends the majority of the game being a dick to her mother and bunking off class to spend time with Rachel, who she has literally known for like a day and their sudden relationship drops out of nowhere. Not that I didn’t enjoy the emotional moments of their relationship, it just didn’t feel like it stemmed from anywhere, unlike Max and Chloe from the first game. And the game’s attempts at villains were also rubbish compared to the first, with Damien (random scary knife guy who doesn’t really tie into the plot that much) and Eliot (who doesn’t appear for the whole game and suddenly goes full incel on Chloe when she breaks into Rachel’s house). Yeah I think you can tell I had some problems with this one.
8. Dishonored: Death of the Outsider was also a hot mess
I LOVE the Dishonored series. The first game and its DLCs are amazing, the second game was arguably even better. And then this happened. In this one, you play as Billie Lurk, a character I love, and Daud comes back, a character I also love. But both of them are incredibly badly written and it doesn’t feel like there’s any development to them or even much reason for them to do what they’re doing. This entry took the mystery surrounding the Outsider and basically did a big poo on it, giving us the revelation that he was apparently HUMAN this whole time. I think that was the nail in the coffin that made me sort of think this was a bit rubbish. While the combat and side missions were as brilliant as ever, the level designs felt less creative than other entries in the series and lacked variety or colour, all the side characters were entirely forgettable and to wrap it all up, they killed Daud offscreen. Out of nowhere, they just killed him, mentioned it offhand in a cutscene and that was that. If you like this game, fair enough, but it kind of baffles me that more people don’t see this in the game.
7. Mario Galaxy 2 is good. It’s just sort of good
Some people cite this as being one of the best 3D platformers of all time, and that’s fair enough, but I just kind of see this one as ‘good’. Sure, it has a good, satisfying control scheme for the most part, the level design is creative and the bosses and puzzles are pretty standard for a Mario title, but still enjoyable. However, sometimes, the floaty physics and weird knockback effect from jumping into walls led to quite a lot of unfair deaths, especially if I’d been punished for messing up already by losing a life, only to then immediately be punished again by falling into the void. Plus, I found Yoshi near impossible to control at some points with the motion controls. So yeah, this one is genuinely enjoyable, but I don’t think I’d personally put it with the best of all time.
6. I LOVE Dragon Quest IX TO DEATH
This is a game in a legendary franchise that consistently almost always see ranked at the very bottom of the pile in the series. But I really don’t understand how or why. Okay so your protagonist and party are basically silent and don’t have a lot of character, but I don’t see this as a reason to totally write off the game! The side characters, villains and story are all amazing and well-developed, the world is huge, colourful and interesting, the monsters are brilliantly creative and Dragon Quest’s signature lame sense of humour is gratefully carried through the whole game. The music is always brilliant and atmospheric and the bosses are just as memorable as each character you meet. What was everyone’s problem?? This is genuinely one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played and if you haven’t had a chance to pick it up, it is so, so worth it.
5. Sonic Adventure is a broken mess
So before I kick this one off, I’m not someone who hates Sonic and I’m not here to slate the whole franchise, but considering this game is often considered to be one of the best in the series, I thought it was definitely worth addressing. When I first played this, I literally couldn’t believe this was made in 1998, AFTER Mario 64 and yet it’s so broken! The physics and control scheme are totally wonky and hard to control, the unending amount of glitches make a fair amount of the stages almost unplayable, the voice acting and facial animation is cringey and oddly broken and yet, this was all on the Dreamcast. The most powerful console of the time. And I don’t think I even need to mention how boring some of the later stages get, with Big the Cat’s fishing section being the main offender. I can’t vouch for Adventure 2 as I haven’t had a chance to play yet, but I really hope it isn’t like this.
4. Dragon Age Origins is the best Dragon Age
Dragon Age has always been a popular RPG series, but I think it properly shot to fame once Inquisition dropped in 2014. And don’t get me wrong, I liked Inquisition! The world was colourful and expansive and the characters were fairly memorable, but I still think the best experience you can get is in the series’ first entry, Origins. While it’s pretty easy to see that it’s slightly dated considering it’s ten years old now, the best characters and story in the series I think is here. Each companion you recruit is varied and developed and the story wraps up brilliantly in the end with each companion and army you meet playing a different role in the final battle. Plus, I kind of can’t forgive Inquisition for making Leliana lose her sense of humour and making her kinda boring.
3. Oblivion is better than Skyrim
Okay so I’m not sure exactly how unpopular this is, but I just thought Oblivion was miles better than Skyrim ended up being. Just to clear it up, I still love Skyrim and I thought it built on the series’ combat system and variety of enemies really well and still provided an enjoyable experience. But Oblivion feels like more of an adventure you feel at home in. The story is dense and full of twists and turns. The soundtrack has some of the most atmospheric music I’ve ever heard, the world is full of bright colours, each city is vastly different and has its own lore and I found some of this to be absent from Skyrim. I’d go into more detail, but I think the simple fact is that Oblivion had so much more I liked than Skyrim.
2. I don’t think The Witcher III is all that amazing (in some regards)
This by no means says that I don’t like the game, because I do, but I think it has more flaws than people let on. Now, don’t get me wrong, a lot of the stuff people praise about this game is true, the quests are in-depth and masterfully crafted, the characters, especially Geralt, are extremely memorable. In fact, Geralt is one of my favourite game protagonists. But most of the problems I had were in terms of the gameplay. The combat, while fast-paced and satisfying, can sometimes feel a little finicky, so a lot of precision is needed. However, I felt that the world itself didn’t particularly interest me and the music is often ambient but outside of combat, isn’t anything special. Mostly though, the leveling system I found to be a bit wonky. I did absolutely everything I could in the first area of the game; all the side quests, treasure hunts, killed a whole bunch of monsters etc. And then I arrive in the second area and find I’m too underleveled to do literally anything. The majority of the quests have too high a level cap, a lot of the monsters kill me very quickly. And because the bulk of EXP farming is in the quests, I’m sort of stuck in an endless loop of constantly not being strong enough to do anything. On top of that, all my equipment keeps breaking and I’m finding that repair kits are extremely few and far between and that makes me even WEAKER. It’s something I’m gonna need to persevere with I think, but hey, this is just my experience with it.
1. Ocarina of Time, as amazing as it is, may have overstayed its welcome as best game of all time
I reckon this might be the most controversial, so it’s number 1. Let me preface this by saying I really like Ocarina and I agree that it was innovative for the RPG genre at the time. There’s a hell of a lot in this game that we have to thank for the games we have today. But considering how far the gaming industry has come since then and the sheer amount of high quality games we’ve been getting year after year, is still fair to call this the best game ever? When more recent games have taken what Ocarina started and built upon it? Games like Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption II, God of War all gave us expansive, beautiful worlds and a story you can really get stuck into. And all the time, more and more games of this caliber are coming out. So yes, of course Ocarina of Time deserves a place in the hall of fame, it was revolutionary and still holds up really well today! I just can’t help but think there have been plenty of games since then, as flawed as some of them may be, that have improved upon the formula tenfold since Ocarina’s release.
Thanks for reading if you got this far! Just to reiterate, these are all just my opinions and my experiences with the games I mentioned, so pls don’t attack me. Got any viddy game opinions you think are sort of not popular? Drop them down below if you feel like it!

Criticism?
If you want to give me helpful feedback I am ALL EARS. Because that is why i post on a forum and have been for way before i made this blog like 2 years ago.
I LOVE to hear constructive thoughts on how to improve.
However I really do not get people who seemingly have seen little of my work. Especially since alot of my original posts to this blog were not what i considered ‘poetry’ in its most traditional sense a lot were in quote format and more like short prose...or those 6-10 word stories/poems.
Some were more statements and diary style entries hence the excerpts from a book i’ll never write tag.
Others maybe could be considered very very short poems but i guess it was not what i consider to be poetry poetry.
The stuff on the forum is the stuff i post more frequently now on here.
Its not about length as such but also layout structure rhyme or no rhyme free flow etc.
Just all of it.
And unfortunately the forum bugs out and stops counting after 500 poems on the main page but i know i have done quite a bit more than that because the no. has been stuck at 500 for months now.
If i go into categories i have posted my poems in less than 10% will be under the love category and within that are sad love poems.
So the comment i received today on a positive poem about love and support from a partner during tough times being the same as every other piece of work i always write has baffled me.
I am making a deal out of it i guess by making this post and not just ignoring and moving on bcause i guess im wondering now is that how i am viewed am i just generic and spouting the same stuff over and over again? Are you my followers/readers tired of my poems?
Is there any feedback I can receive anon or not? Is there any other topics you would like to see me write about?
And also I kinda feel like when youve amassed over 500 poems around mostly niche topics like mental health specifically bipolar depression anxiety and BPD for the most part that there is gonna be similarities in the words i write. because i mean how many ways can you really talk about such a thing that makes it totally unique from your past works or even other peoples works on that subject matter.
Then we get into the philosophical debate of is anything ever truly original and unique anymore?
I dont know...And also honestly yes i want to improve my writing YES i want to write things that others find solace or happiness in or they can relate too. or that makes people FEEL something strongly etc.
But the only reason i ever started writing was for ME..a coping mechanism to handle my undiagnosed at the time mental illnesses and once i got diagnosed nothing changed. In fact by that point i had fallen in love with written word.
I then focused on really improving and honing my poetry through advice on the forum i am a part of.
I want to write good poetry but first and foremost i do ultimately write for myself and to help me cope with stress in my life. So many nights recently ive wanted to die and self harm and instead ive sat at my laptop and just written poetry instead and its the thread that keeps me hanging on to life.
It is my failsafe when all else is going wrong i have my voice through poetry to rely on. I dont know why but I just can’t say what i want to express about how I am depressed through voice or letter unless it in poetic form. I just find something about poetry itself as an easier vessel to express my emotions than any other form of writing!
Anyways so YES please message me with other topics you would like me to write about and please if you have ANY helpful advice dont be afraid to message me anon or not just so long as you keep it civil dont outright trash me and just suggest how i could improve in a non confrontational manner we’ll be good!

on hole
ok so this posts been a long time a comin’ but i finally feel like im drunk enough to talk about (and never shut the fuck up about) one of my favorite bands... Hole
hole’s music has meant a lot to me since i picked up Live Through This at some boring ass used cd store that also happened to sell erotic fantasy novels about good fathers. but anyway. holes music is for women with bad fathers. women who are kind of fucked up and angry about it, too. women who have trauma and scars and are kinda gross. women who were wronged but somehow by the grace of god empowered in the face of their horrible experiences.
or at least it feels like that, dont it?
that was the main appeal of hole to me, anyway. i fell in love with this album around the second or third listen through. i was like, damn, shes pissed. it was so refreshing to hear a woman just screaming out her frustrations. how cathartic must it have been to be able to not only get it out, but also be taken somewhat seriously? of course hole never got the recognition they deserved. im of the unpopular opinion that they were waayyyy better than nirvana. without sounding kinda sappy... you know what fuck it im not apologizing to any of u. hole totally made me embrace womanhood. it influenced my own, much beloved way to just exist.
but also i guess i just really love tunes.
ps im not here for the courtney killed kurt debate lmfao!!
ok so heres the part where i write my onions about their four studio albums
Pretty On the Inside
their first album and admittedly, my least favorite (that doesnt say much because i still really enjoy it). its sound is much more abrasive. love employs her most guttural screams in this one, but ill get to that. to its credit, its the most experimental but many interpret it as amateur guitar screeches and song bits just hashed together. and maybe theyre right! but what band doesnt have that not-quite-there-yet first album? its an unrefined, beautiful mess. A song title or two is spelled wrong. Garbadge man is one that comes to mind. and for some reason, its just... fitting. its an artistic mistake left in and its so dumb but thats the fun in it! thats the punk in it! they dont give a fuck so why should you? this album is a messy bitch.
track im gonna nut about: mrs. jones
this song is apparently about a back alley abortion, and its just as brutal. love is screaming, just guttural sounds and expletives and nauseating lyrics. when i first heard it, i was absolutely entranced in the atrocity of it all. shes sweating, panting. i will follow you down the sick drain
other favorite tracks: teenage whore, good sister bad sister, pretty on the inside
Live Through This
their most popular album also happens to be my favorite! the start of it all...
i havent shut up about this album since day one because i just like it so much! she refines her skills and just comes out with a successful album that ties an array of horrible themes and wraps them up in a pretty pink bow. its soft aesthetic covers the dark, sickening themes that make the album. rape, anorexia, self harm, self hatred, violence, abuse... the list goes on. someone i one knew asked me why women with bipolar disorder and bpd love hole so much and i had to bite my tongue but to be brutally honest we probably like it because love had the nuts to scream about taboo themes that are so hurtfully common in our lives. just like how the depressed rally behind the smiths. oh that and the musics awesome. but anyway, the cover is a beauty queen the moment shes crowned. its supposed to represent someone who has fought, clawed, and fucked her way to the top. but look! shes the queen! shes the beauty queen! everyone will finally love her and treat her with respect! and all she had to do was sell her soul. all she had to do was get abused over and over to the point of breakdown. but she made it, didnt she? i mean, look how pretty the crown is!
favorite track im not gonna shut up about: i think i would die
im gonna be super lazy and just copy and paste what i wrote up one time when i talked about this song before:
wait nevermind i cant search for my post through my tag because tumblr is broken. something about breastmilk? ill update once i find it lmao.
other favorite tracks: violet, softer softest, miss world
Celebrity Skin
i dont have as many onions on this one. supposedly, love didnt want this album to become ‘the widow album’, but theres a song or two about kurt’s death snuck in there. this albums loud, but not nearly as angry as the first two. in fact, when shes not singing catchy pop tunes about how jaded she is, shes being sincere and heartfelt. all in all, its a fantastic album and my second favorite that hole has to offer.
favorite track of the album: heaven tonight
ive heard two stories about what this songs supposedly about. on one hand, people say its about two lovers. the girl wants to lose her virginity to the guy, so she drives (recklessly) to his house and dies in an accident. she’ll never grow old, she’ll go to heaven tonight. on the other hand, i heard that love just wanted a fun song to sing to her daughter, frances bean. either way, it makes me want to dance. so idk if its about teenagers fucking or about a little girl who just needed a song, but its cool.

Nobody’s Daughter
years later, hole released their final album. when i first heard it, i was disappointed. the first track was great, but then.... i noticed her voice had deteriorated significantly due to her smoking and other vocal abuse. and i thought, damn, i really wish she released this when she was younger. she sounds normal when she screams, but i guess to compensate when singing softer parts, she does this kind of weird weird thing when enunciating that... ok i cant pinpoint or describe what exactly it is but it kinda sucks. ‘honey’ is the only hole song that i dont like very much, and its the best song to use as an example when trying to explain how her voice got all fucked. now, we cant all be bowie (whose singing voice only got better after years of smoking). but still.
anyways, i listened to the album again, and i mean really listened to it. and actually! the smoker voice is the beauty of it! its a woman who is past jaded and past giving fucks about anyone or anything. its songs from a woman of experience. and she still sounds badass! her voice is so rough, she sounds like she could still fuck anyone up. its exciting.
favorite track to get all sappy about: letter to god
i really found an appreciation for this song. this is a song about someone who cant be saved. and isnt that fucked up? youre so bad, so hated by all of those around you, but no one can hate you as much as yourself. and you try everything to pick yourself up but just nothing works. and everyone has their two cents in what they think will help you. but youve tried every med in the book and youve tried this and that and the other thing, and you come to the conclusion that you just cant be saved. youre drowning. so what do you do? you turn to god, a supernatural all-mighty being. but shit, i hope he can help you. because if he doesnt, fucking nothing ever will. so go write him that letter.
i never wanted to be the person you see
