born in seoul, south korea to parents ryu i-seul and ji-young; was called their little miracle, "heaven-sent". had an idyllic childhood -- picturesque in all ways imaginable, -- until ██████████████████████ ████████████████████████.

she was orphaned at 13, and stayed at the ██████ orphanage. during her time there, she quickly built up a record for breaking multiple rules, mainly sneaking out. regardless, her time there was short-lived: six months later she was already scouted. the █ ██'s ████ found her one night pickpocketing; apparently, he saw talent as he recruited her on the spot, straight off the streets of seoul. ████ seemed to have become a close parental figure to her ( unclear as she would not elaborate ). the █ ██ is not any clearer. the █ ██ is a mysterious organization, not much is known about the founder or existing members, outside of kai and ████ . what is known is that they dealt in a variety of "areas"; one of which being the sourcing out of specialized agents for heists; another, now known, after years of investigation, human trafficking ( though kai, at the time did not know of this ). they taught her nearly everything she knew and gave her an exceptional background in all things related to art. this seemed like a fair trade since just before the time of her recruitment, the reputation of the organization had been teetering downhill. as soon as she joined, every team she was assigned to succeeded without fail; rumour was, she was labelled a "heaven-sent" by the superiors for saving the organization from ruin. that's why at 17 she was sent on one of the largest hits yet.

at 17, she was sent to rome. target: ████ ██. it was an undercover assignment; a long game. her cover was an art history student at the sapienza university of rome. at 20 she graduated with a genuine degree and it was likely at this time that she uncovered the trafficking side of her past organization. it is unknown how she found out and it is unknown if her mission was completed. she instantaneously cut ties with them and disappeared off the map.

for the next 3 years, she had been sighted all over europe, from london to budapest to reykjavik. according to the little details she provided, she had found herself a little group. she would not disclose the members of this team -- but we believe them to be ████ ██, ███ ███, and ██ ███████. this team seems to be the ace unit -- because if our intelligence is correct, they are responsible for the thefts and repatriatization of over 500+ objects underground. she refuses to give any details but the way she speaks of this time, she seems to have thought of herself and this group as robin hood figures. during this period, her previous employer, the █ ██, started burning to the ground. multiple raids were happening in 2 of their known locations (seoul and rome). many lower-level participants were caught but the higher-ups are still in the winds it seems. she would not disclose her involvement in this, but she was likely the catalyst.

by 23, word of her exploits reached us. when she appeared in queens, new york, the hanging man took the opportunity to reach out and offer her a position. it is unclear why she left europe, why she was in new york, or where her team went. she speaks of them too fondly, too devotedly for them to have just simply parted ways; we believe they are all here somewhere in the city as well. for some reason, the boss immediately took a liking to her. she was even offered to have a master's at columbia university funded -- all to benefit her work they said. nonetheless, in the 4 years since she joined, the company has admittedly benefited immensely -- maybe she does have the "midas touch", maybe she is truly a heaven-sent. but everywhere she goes something inscrutable follows...

conclusion: for how deep she is in the company, we still don't know much about her. there are too many holes in her history -- she does appear loyal to us, but as we say: things are never as they seem around here. threat level: hard to tell low-medium. recommendation: keep a CLOSE eye.

I sometimes just imagine the first time Phantom is introduced to the league as like, a fellow big league hero. As someone who works with Justice League Dark and took down the Ecto Acts with his own team and allies to be included under the meta acts like aliens. He knows Constantine and Zatanna and is a pretty common name in the magical community now even if usually as his human form "just Danny".

And suddenly he is surrounded by these "big time heroes" and aliens and champions and most would assume he'd be overwhelmed or in awe. Maybe nervous, or weirdly fixated on being in space.

But here's the kicker- Danny is dead. Technically part of the category ecto-entity, ghost, and thus belonging to the Infinite Realms. He has met a vast variety of characters who are far more chaotic and legendary than these people who have so much interpersonal drama it looks like one of the soap operas Tucker refuses to admit he watches. Wonder Woman? Danny has lunch with Pandora and visits the Greek sections of the realms when he needs to research old prophecies. Superman? Kryptonite is like rock candy and the dead of Krypton are either very sweet or very condescending and Danny has seen both in the Boy Scout. The less said about the Green Lanterns the better. The Flash family are entertaining but also headache inducing because Danny has heard the complaints about the timeline. Half a dozen other heroes and vigilantes have their own dramas that Danny could pick apart at the source for the many issues that started said drama, and that's not even beginning on the issues with Batman and the weird galley of children he has who are sometimes even worse than the dark knight himself.

Meanwhile the League find themselves growing more concerned and horrified the more Phantom manages to reference his adventures and rather stressful start as a vigilante. Constantine hasn't been more entertained in years.

I recently had to do a project in one of my psych classes, and man, I knew that CBT was used for every little thing, but seeing over and over, "do CBT! CBT is the best for every mental illness!" was so jarring. I'm absolutely biased because of my own experiences, but I just don't think it's as universal a treatment model as it's touted.

If you didn't benefit from CBT, it's not because you're lazy or didn't try hard enough or lacked intelligence or foresight into your own needs. Frankly, it's a therapy model that (I think) shouldn't be the only readily-accessible model and among the only therapy models covered by insurance. Some of us should not be treated in a CBT model and that's okay. It's not a sign of poor character or unreasonable demands, and if you don't think it's a model that works for you, then it's your right to express that!

Wow, David thinks to himself. He’s been told that Steve has some problems with his memory - apparently he compensated for it with a truly insane online calendar - but he didn’t expect him to forget about a whole human being. Just, wow.

Steve loudly tells Mike that he’s never had a real job and Mike scoffs at him and tells him that he wrote for a comic book website for three years. Journalism is just writing with a fancy degree. Will and Mike created a comic book together so, “I’m published.”

“Robin is published,” Steve stresses (Steve’s best friend, David knows that one). “If that was the only qualification I wanted than I would’ve asked Robin to come.”

They start squabbling again in whispered voices so David turns to Dustin and tries to alleviate some of the awkwardness with, “Steve, uh, really has a type, huh?”

Dustin squints at him, “Did you just meet him? Today?”

thinking about a soulmate canon au where you find your soulmate via touch and the jedi order is a bit more pious and has a very respectful no touching culture that obi-wan absolutely abides by. meanwhile anakin is raised on tatooine before coming to the temple and he's really used to touch, and it drives him a little insane, that no one touches him casually in the temple but he learns to abide by it as well and follow his master's example

only for him to fall head over heels for padmé as soon as they touch in aotc and he thinks his reactions to her are due to them being soulmates so they get married because padmé doesn't really know what finding her soulmate feels like either, but anakin's touch and attention feels good (and maybe he unintentionally uses the Force to convince her) so they must be soulmates

meanwhile obi-wan saved his padawan's life when he was like sixteen and was knocked unconscious and tossed into an ocean or something so obi-wan gives him mouth to mouth to resuscitate him---and discovers instantly that they're soulmates....but anakin's out cold and doesn't feel it so obi-wan's left alone with the realization that he's some kind of monster, being the soulmate of a child and anakin can never ever ever know.

so canon happens as canon does but with obi-wan knowing and keeping this secret to himself and carefully making sure he never touches anakin while anakin gets all of his touches from his wife and obi-wan watches from afar knowing he can never tell anakin or anyone else

but palpatine works it out and definitely tells anakin once he's Fallen and killed his wife and also been barbecued (by his soulmate), which makes vader obsess with finding obi-wan (more than he is in canon)

and he finally captures him and has the acolytes chain him up in mustafar. vader visits and asks if obi-wan cut off his arms so he couldn't touch him and know, and it's obi-wan's worst fear and biggest regret that anakin finds out they're soulmates, but now he has no control over the situation. not as vader approaches, not as he takes off his helmet, not as vader leans close and brushes what remains of his lips against obi-wan's cheek

and it feels just as good and right and perfect as it did the first and only time they touched, except now obi-wan isn't sure who the monster is. maybe it's both of them
