I know it doesn't really fit the tone of the show that much but I think it'd be cool if one of the last episodes is actually sad and melancholy but also pretty creepy, based on something like, idk, Lake Mungo

I'm not sure how they'd go about it whilst keeping the SM charm but I think it would be interesting to see

Sorry I've been afk so much lately. Some of my favorite people in the world I mostly only ever see on Tumblr (or various social DMs) and I have not been in either of those places, and I miss you.

Part of this is because I have had three counselors in a row leave our HMO so my brain-speed med prescription expired and I am Too Tired™️ to start over with someone AGAIN. I'll get there eventually

Part of it though! Is in an attempt to combat the magpie!brain (and in search of something to do with my hands at a Social Thing I am going to at the end of the summer) I am attempting to re-learn how to cross-stitch (last done with a Grandmother* when bb!jilly was idk, 10-ish) and will hopefully (upon getting a bit better at judging the thread tension for tying on and off so I get a little less tangled on the back & thus am not QUITE so much in my own way for the next color) start looking into more embroidery stitches soon!

(Yes I started with a dragon. Because Dragons!)

There is just something so very satisfying about pulling a thread through and watching it smooth into the spot you wanted y'all, so much serotonin 🥰

ANYWAY

My sort of point is: if anyone has any rec's for beginner stitch samplers or small (ish?) project(s) do please share. (I have black aida on my shopping list already for a couple Halloween patterns I'm hoping to try, but the more the merrier!)

i’ve started babysitting for a VERY christian family which is great because they pay me a lot of money but as someone who was raised almost completely agnostic it’s kind of insane. the 2 year old keeps asking me to read her stories from the bible. (why are we reading david and goliath to a 2 year old????) the 5 year old told me today that he was going to bring his legos to heaven with him. he also has repeatedly told me that the lego spaceships he builds are stronger than jesus. (not sure what to say to that. do i deny it??? are things allowed to be stronger than jesus??) had to stop myself mid sentence today because i almost told them im not going to heaven which would DEFINITELY have caused several meltdowns. they’re also both completely fascinated by my nose ring

Big fan of sun motifs in characters not necessarily being about positivity and happiness and how they're so " bright and warm" but instead being about fucking brutal they are.

Radiant. A FORCE of nature that will turn you to ash. That warmth that burns so hot it feels like ice. Piercing yellow and red and white. A character being a Sun because you cannot challenge a Sun without burning alive or taking everything down with them if victorious.

How did the fairy fountains move. Really. How. Zelda would poke and prod if she wasn’t so concerned with accidentally entering a pact with more ancient spirits. Link might have been able to get away with it, but he’s quite content splashing around in the fountain’s healing waters.
