oh gosh J is probably my fav out of all of them—(I may be biased) I just had the most fun drawing her. as for the B team, they’re not exactly a group but doll and lizzy are friends with eachother and make it everyone elses problem.

Khan, Nori, Yeva and Alice are all in this au, Yeva is Nori’s sister which makes Doll her cousin. We dont focus too too much on them but there will be a few (mostly awkward) interactions courtesy of three traumatized veterans, their autistic, creepy gremlin of a housemate/sister, and their equally as autistic doctor who’s methods are…hippocraticatically questionable that their strange kids bring home like a box of stray kittens. I havent figured out Yeva, Nori or Alice but Khan is definitely in some kind of engineering/security company.

JESSA IS REAL and the one thing i will be saying about it is that nuzi is NOT the painful awful torturous frustratingly oblivious slowburn ship of this au. Tessa is STUPID. J is GAY. we will leave it at that

Tessa can drive. She has a shitty toyota corolla she paid more money to ship over to the states from AUS than on a first class ticket or a rental car. Its name is Bertie, she has no AC, shocks, or a working left back door and everyone HATES it because it is their main source of transportation. V is capable of driving but does not own a car. N and J are both unfit to drive for different reasons but both as a result of post traumatic stress.

As for mitchell, i dont know! it would be cute to have him in here somewhere, if only i could find a way to work him in…

The WOF Love Interest slander has made me think about it. What would be my ideal love interests for each Wings of Fire protagonist?

Clay - Keep him without a solid one, he can have minor flings but honestly I like how the books kept him single and made it pretty clear Peril’s crush was one-sided. I don’t personally headcanon him as aromantic or anything I just think him not having a love interest is more useful and interesting to the character dynamics and the story than having one would be.

Tsunami - As I have previously stated, pathetic malewife ( gender-neutral as usual for the bisexual queen ) or equally as tough dragon who has a soft spot for Tsunami and she has one for them. I like how Riptide is the first person Tsunami meets but not in the way the books portray it, it shouldn’t just be “first male of the same tribe as her now they are dating” I feel “this was the first person I felt I could relate to on all the things I never knew why I did and you taught me so much but never used me for being a princess or forced me to be a certain way thank you”

Glory - Okay girlboss and her hitman bodyguard is cute, kinda reminds me of Yor and Loid Forger in a way but also the age gap has to go Tui how’d you fuck up the timeline that bad 😭😭 I don’t actually like how Deathbringer is written either I kinda would want more of a serious to outsiders but playful slowburn when alone with eachother. I feel like Glory wouldn’t actually get with anyone until she’s an adult because she would be so focused on her career BUT GOD GET A MAN OR A WOMAN OR WHATEVER IDC WHO IS YOUR AGE PLEASE DONT MESS UP THE TIMELINE AND IMPLY STRANGE AGE GAPS IT RUINS SHIPS

Starflight - Tbh… I love him and Fatespeaker nerdy quiet boyfriend and his bundle of energy nerdy girlfriend, just crank it up to 11 I want more I don’t care if she’s annoying it’s fun I just wish they did more with it it was so cute :(

Sunny - The aromantic queen.

Moonwatcher - Everytime I heard her worrying about “oh gosh oh me should I choose the nice funny guy who is nothing but kind to me or the nasty racist man who keeps telling me who hates me because I’m a nightwing” makes me want to rip my hair out. If you can’t tell love triangles are often poorly written and both choices are not equal. Solution: Give Qibli more apparent flaws and maybe don’t make Winter dragon racist it makes the bad boy character a lot less of a bad boy and more of “why are you giving this man the time of day Moon he hates you” energy. That was a rant and a half but basically balance it out more and in the end I don’t want her to decide. She can have some romance drama on the side but I feel like she could never choose, or she could go poly or open relationship but who knows. If I could throw Qibli and Winter in the love interest trash bin I would give Moon a quiet gf with an interesting backstory or something like that, someone who doesn’t have a bombardment of thoughts and is calm and peaceful and Moon can just chill with her. Or honestly if Arc 2 wanted to focus on plot more, discard love interest for Moon until Arc 3.

Winter and Qibli - Stated before. Honestly would prefer if Winter didn’t have a love interest at all and worked through his own issues with his friends where as I’m a little more open to Moon and Qibli personally I’m not the biggest fan. I think Qibli is another character like Clay that I can’t see any story reasons to actually give a love interest until after Arc 2.

Peril - Realize she doesn’t need Clay to love her to be worth anything and slowly come to realize to learn to love herself, maybe she gets to be with someone as an adult but after lots of healing and being able to separate her worth as a person from a partner’s love. <3

Turtle - I like how he has a crush on Kinkajou and how Anemone kind of ruins it but I don’t want it to go anywhere and I want he and Kinkajou to have more discussions about it and for them eventually decide not to get together. Or something like that I can’t really see Turtle with anyone but I liked that storyline.

Blue and Cricket: I actually really enjoy this ship and I want them to be happy, make it less sudden though Tui I stg they went way too fast but I do enjoy pathetic little boy x nerdy girl it is a very cute dynamic and made arc 3 tolerable in the first half for me.

Sundew: No complaints. Willow is amazing, I just wish she had more of a role in the story.

Snowfall: I think she and Lynx are cute but they do also work as friends, I don’t think she needs a love interest. Single girlboss.

Luna: I like Luna and Swordtail a lot actually Arc 3 had pretty good romance for Wings of Fire standards, I just wish it was fleshed out more before Luna’s POV book. Her thoughts and memories of Swordtail also made her book tolerable I’m ngl the plot was lacking but Luna and her awesome thoughts and mind and memories was super cool!!

I could also include the humans, the winglet characters and Darkstalker but I don’t want too!! Fuck the humans I hate them!!! Also I acknowledge I didn’t include any MLM ships in here at all but that’s kind of just because most male characters have pretty solid ships already which are primarily straight, which is sad that there isn’t a lot of LGBT rep in Wings of Fire besides Sundew x Willow and side characters Pineapple x Jambou(? He is so irrelevant I forgot his name help 😭 ) and arguably Sky/Peril. Maybe after Winter works through his angst he can get an emo boyfriend that would be my heart and soul.

I like watching relationships and problems form and unfold, and that doesn't happen when you reconnect after a breakup. all of the drama already happened, all of the issues that lead to the breakup already happened and it's typically off screen. tsk tsk. I wanna be IN THE LOOP. I'm nosy like that. getting together, my beloved. specifically if it's been in the making for a while. the immense satisfaction, the love confession, just UGH. fuck yeah, bestie.

getting together is my favorite, with established relationship close behind it; i love reconnecting after a breakup, but it stresses me out because "statistically, this rarely works!" and "but if they couldn't do it before—" that sort of thing. i dislike forever breakups because i only read fics for pairings i *really* love, & having them split is the last thing i want.

I think breaking up and moving on (and then getting together with someone new) is my favourite! I love the drama of a breakup and then watching characters navigate the beginning of a relationship when one of them is recently broken-hearted and not sure if they're ready.

Reconnecting after a break up. The growth, the love, the potential for bucket loads of angst, the variety of this trope of how they met again and why. It’s not the most angsty or the most fluffy and that’s perfect to me.

I generally like getting together plots for longer stories, even if that means re-getting together after a breakup/separation. For one-shots, either getting-together or established relationship. I am always super impressed by a good established relationship multichapter, because I think the conflict is harder to pull off when they're already together so it's excellent when it's well-done.

on-and-off relationships are fun. i don't have a preference but relationship angst isn't unwelcomed, either. I prefer character angst with the SO comforting them or serving as a caretaker role

I should've clarified earlier, but I like infidelity as a trope when one character cheats on another with an unknown character off screen. but when the main character is cheating either with or on someone, I simply don't vibe. it's annoying. Royalty AU's, tired. Unhappy endings, absolutely not. I like angst. I couldn't handle an unhappy ending to a primarily angsty story, it wouldn't be satisfying in the slightest.

Final Fantasy prompts # 31

1. Sephiroth uses Cloud as a therapist.

Sephiroth going on about his life while Cloud is tied to a chair and gagged is just hilarious to me.

2. AVALANCHE, Sephiroth and the Turks are all turned back into 10 year olds and booted, (by Aerith probably) to the Pokémon world and have to survive as Pokémon trainers. The problem? They were all separated and no one has any way to contact eachother.

(Inspired by Viincentsvalentines pokemon/ff7 post. I adore Cloud having a overprotective and murderous Shinx as a starter pokemon. I also love AC Cloud with a Luxray)

3. Cloud is ace/aro and is just working on Fenrir, blissfully oblivious to everyone fighting over him just inside the bar.

Those who aren't fighting are fueling the fire and making the situation worse.

In short, Reno starts a shipping war with an actual war.

There is no mercy.

Featuring: people trying to flirt with Cloud only to be full-body tacked away mid conversion, Cloud shrugging everything off, Rufus being a manipulate weasel, and Cloud choosing to "Date" his motorcycle just to get people off his back. No one is respecting Clouds boundaries or sexual orientation.

4. Cloud gets thrown back in time but loses his memory. He has no idea who he is or how he got to this snowfield, luckily this energetic, spikey haired man befriends him and is dead set on showing him off to Angeal.

Genesis had to do a double take, the blond wasn't just well armed. He was practically prepared for war. A massive overly intricate sword was the mans back, his gaze was unwavering, even when faced with the three most powerful men in the world. The redhead barely had to glance at him to tell that all the materia on him was at max level, even the supports.

"Well, my dear friend," he began, turning to Angeal, "it seems your puppy has brought home a wolf."

5. Sephiroth appears to Cloud in his apartment, intending to torment him again. Cloud doesn't seem to acknowledge him, no matter what he says or does. He even grabbed his puppet by the throat and pinned him against the wall.

Nothing. Cloud just closed his eyes and began counting backwards from thirty. The former general released him and Cloud went back to making his sandwich.

The silverette was thoroughly miffed at this point and stalked Cloud throughout his apartment as he sat down the plate of food down on his table next to a glass of water. The blond then darted into the bathroom for a moment and came back with a small orange pill bottle.

Intrigued, Sephiroth watched the blond down two pills before picking up the bottle.

He looked back at his blond, quietly assessing him as he ate his sandwich.

"So. You've been hallucinating."

6. Cloud bursts into a packed SOLDIER rec room disguised as a SOLDIER 2nd and yells, "Who knew about the cat?!" Then sprints across the room and breaks through the window, leading down to the streets below.

The room erupts into chaos.

Later Yuffie pays him 2000 gil

7. Sephiroth not understanding the symptoms of a crush while Genesis tries to teach him how to flirt.

Genesis is not having a good time.

8. Cloud and Sephiroth are trapped in a small enclosed space. So there they lay, pinned by debris, pressed against eachother, and making awkward conversation cause Cloud will be damned if he let's Sephiroth go on about the whole "Sailing the cosmos" thing again.

9. Vincent and Cloud secretly sing duets together when no one is around. Poor Barret winds up listening to them sing (and dance to) "Instruments of cyanide" (DA games version) and is thoroughly shook.

On the plus side, he now knows why Valentine always carries around those small Bluetooth speakers

10. Time traveling animal version of Cloud who reverts back into a human while being petted by Sephiroth.

11. Doll AU where Jenova creates an AC Cloud doll for Sephiroth, a CC Zack doll for Angeal, and a FF7 Aerith doll for Genesis. All of the dolls are life-sized and perfect copies of the originals. The three generals didn't know what to do with them at first. Sephiroth shoved his in a closet, Angeal sat his on the couch and poked fun at the real Zack, and Genesis layed his lovely maiden in a glass coffin filled with lillies, using her as a center piece in his home decor.

It starts with Sephiroth occasionally brushing his dolls blond hair, eventually coming to brush it every night. He became obsessed with caring for the doll, until one night, while he was laying in bed pretending to be asleep in an attempt to do the real thing, his doll came to brush his hair. He remained still while the doll lovingly groomed him. Even after the doll left, Sephiroth did not sleep.

The Zack doll...was another thing entirely. Angeals things would go missing on a regular basis. His laptop, his keys, his keycard. He couldn't tell you how many times he'd been locked out of his own apartment. The weirdest time, was just ofter he had comforted Zack, telling him that he cares about him more than any doll, no matter how lifelike it is.

Angeal had night terrors for a week strait and every pair of pants he owned disappeared on the day of a military presentation he was required to attend.

Genesis's doll has full on disappeared from her case, sometimes for days at a time. The redhead is always furious, convinced someone is stealing her. He sets up cameras, but they catch nothing. One moment the doll is there, then she's gone. He always felt like he was being laughed at when this happened, on the other hand, the flowers in the case mysteriously never wilted and new materia would appear around his house sporadically. Which was weird because he was always meticulously organized regarding his materia.

Aka Eldrich Doll au horror story slowburn.

12. Sephiroth realized his puppet was growing stronger at the same rate he was growing weaker

Sizzy was always intended to be a slowburn so obviously they weren't going to share every scenes because they had to grow by themselves and have their own storylines before being put together which I actually loved to see because I don't think that season1!Simon and season1!Isabelle could have worked. I think they both had some growing to do before being in a real and honest relationship. So this is not me hating on their journey but just me really wanting to still have them and being like sad that the show is over.

I'm going to use the timelines for season 1 and 2 made by nephilimupdates.com, season 3 is a little weird because it doesn't make sense when we get to a certain point (if we follow the show, Halloween should have been in 3x13 and it was in 3x18, so I'm just going to pretend the show is in some alternate universe where Halloween isn't on October 31th)

The show (1x01) starts on Clary's birthday (August 23rd)

Simon meets Isabelle on the morning of August 25th and they spend almost all the episode together, including scenes with every one else and Simon is kidnapped by Raphael (1x02).

The gang rescues Simon at the end of episode 1x03 but Simon and Isabelle don't interact.

They share no scenes in 1x04 but we know that Simon told Isabelle that he was leaving the Institute because he doesn't want to be their "prisoner", which is something I guess for us shippers.

In 1x05, Simon gets kidnapped again and we have that wonderful "I'm getting super tired of saving your life" scene.

In 1x06, Simon is helping with Luke while Izzy deals with her mother at the Institute. Simon is killed by Camille in 1x07 and Raphael brings him to the Institute at the beginning 1x08 and he becomes a vampire at the end of that episode.

In 1x09, there's some Meliorn/Lydia drama and Sizzy shares screentime and some dialogue but nothing important happens relationshipwise.

They do not have scenes together in 1x10, except for the AU moments where we know they're a couple because they act like it and AU!Simon is going to ask AU!Izzy to move in with him but we don't get to see them actually talk to each other.

In 1x11, Simon is dealing with being a new vampire and Izzy is dealing with her trial at the Institute so completely different storylines and they don't interact. Now, the big Malec episode (1x12) is where we finally see them in a scene alone. Izzy goes to Simon for help for Alec's bachelor party and we see them together at the wedding.

Season 1 finale (1x13), they share group scenes and Izzy saves Simon from Valentine.

We don't see them together from episode 2x01 to episode 2x06 (which is like 15 days of the timeline). A lot happens in those episodes: Simon is still dealing with being a vampire, he meets Maia and is a lot more with the werewolves. Izzy is hurt because she was possessed by the demon sent by Valentine and her addiction to yin fen storyline starts.

Leading to their first scene of season 2 in 2x07. Izzy is trying to get some yin fen, Magnus (not knowing of her addiction) tells her that some people go directly to the source: a vampire. She then asked "jokingly" Simon to bite her. I have a lot of thoughts about that scene but it'll be for an other time.

From episode 2x08 (where we only see them at Magnus' party for Max) to 2x11, they're both dealing with other stuff. Simon with his relationship with Clary and becoming a Daylighter, Izzy with the consequences of her addiction and her relationship with Raphael. Those episodes are like a week of the show's timeline.

We all know what happens in 2x12. We finally get a real sizzy episode with some development and we all loved it.

No scene in 2x13 but we see Izzy at the Hunter's Moon for Simon's gig. Only a few days passes between episode 2x14 to 2x16.

In 2x17, Izzy asks Simon's help to train Max and she "pushes" him and Maia to start a relationship.

The last 3 episodes of the season happens in the span of 3 days but focus essentially on defeating Jonathan and Valentine so nothing for sizzy here but they both are at the Hunter's Moon at the end of 2x20 so it's a thing I guess.

So here's where my notes begin:

Season 3 starts the morning after the season 2 finale so it is October 17th and Sizzy have their first scene in 3x06 which is October 24th. That means only 6 days have passed since the last time they saw eachother which is not that long considering all the things that had happened since then.

In 3x07, Clary confesses to using the wish to bring back Jace. Simon and Isabelle are both there but then their storylines diverge. Simon with Maia and finding out that Kyle is actually Jordan, and Izzy going to Alicante with Clary and Alec to help Jace. They both dealing with those things in 3x08.

And now it's where it starts to be interesting again. Heidi is back in 3x09 where she takes Simon's mom and sister hostage. Jordan goes to Izzy to help him find Simon and they find him feeding on his sister. Izzy is the one to stop him.

They both go to the hospital in 3x10 to visit Becky, Simon makes his mom forget about him and we get our first sizzy hug. At the end of this episode, they both go to defeat Lilith.

A few days pass between the end of 3x10 and the start of 3x11. Clary has been "dead" for probably 2 or 3 days. Simon and Isabelle don't share scenes but Izzy has a scene with Maia where they talk about him, and Simon mentions that Izzy is going with him looking for a vampire that can help him get rid of the mark.

Again season 12 of the season is a blessing for us. 3x12 starts with Sizzy looking for the vampire and ends at the Seelie Court with the ritual to remove the Mark.

In 3x13, Izzy wakes up at Simon's apartment where they get a text saying that Clary is back.

I didn't take notes after that because that's where the dates are getting really messy since 3x14 should have been Halloween. So to sum up, they aren't any sizzy in 3x14 and 3x15 and they have scenes in the last 7 episodes, but we know what happen in those so I'm not going to make a list :p
