#but all my favorite characters have the same personality

Yoo, can I ask a question? - yandere (of course) tartaglia, wanderer (or scaramouche) and kazuha, with a reader who has.. a slightly interesting temper, that is, the reader has an unconventional, sarcastic, extremely cynical sense of humor) humor is the reader's protective reflex, maybe.. The reader is constantly trying to turn everything into humor, often makes sarcastic little comments even if at the wrong moment.. (but reader still manages to make people laugh) Maybe this is a bit of a strange request, but why not? (I just often see how in yandere fics the reader is assigned almost the same behavior, I would like to read something new, and besides, you are one of my favorite yandere writers!) I hope my request complied with your rules, because there are SO MANY OF THEM.. I don't even remember some of them lol.. I'll be glad if you accept my request! thank you đ
Too many thoughts, not enough brain cells. Letâs see what happens.

⥠A/N #1. This turned out longer than it was supposed to be......... but it was necessary for the build-up. So waha. And, this definitely has a different formatting and plot development style from all my other works (especially formatting), but that was done on purpose. And, yes, I'm putting this story in WITD, despite it's length, because of the formatting. Well, either way, hope you all enjoy :))
⥠A/N #2. Thank you for the support and reading so far, I appreciate it and also for taking the time to read the RULES. But, I have to inform you all on some important rules especially. As mentioned in my rules, requesters arenât allowed to assign behavior towards the reader. For only MY works particularly, I agree that most of the behavior of reader is generally the same. Why? Well, simple, I hardly encounter self inserts with apathetic, actually not emotional readers. I lack book food. There are SO MANY emotional readers inserts. And even sarcastic sassy ones. I have no food. So I cooked my own food instead. Iâve read so many over the years, that honestly? The ones close to my personality are ALWAYS original novels with male characters. Literally Fang Yuan from Reverend Insanity cooks hardest, and even then there was that stupid part in almost Chapter 3k mark that I hated. Because they added emotions and shiz. And here I thought I found a true villain character. Small rant. But even then only he cooks really, both intelligence wise and even personality wise. No one has even beaten Fang Yuan in terms of strategy and intelligence from books that I havenât created.
⥠A/N #3. I get it. Females are emotionally built, even biologically. But, Iâm not overly emotional. I can act it, but feeling it? No. I can create other personality readers. Iâve literally written a lot of OCâs from thinkers to feelers so I can. But. Guys. I also self-insert myself in these stories whahaha. Itâs not exactly my personality, but itâs still part of me. However, Iâll make an exception this time since I just released a new book, âWhispers In The Darkâ for short stories. Since Iâm actually a person who dislikes reading self inserts with mean readers of any kinds. This does not sound humble at all, but Iâm not a mean person at all if it comes to commentary. I just keep to myself or keep my mouth shut. And I also HATE reading main characters with tempers. Probably because, I have a very mellow personality in reality. And emotions? Hardly feel anything tbh.
⥠A/N #4. Anyways so I wonât get mad when writing this, hereâs basically a Gojo inspired Reader. Most ENTPâs (especially 8w7 and 7w8) are relatable to me, and I relate to Gojo a lot. Never simped, but I relate. But, next time, to anyone. I will NEVER be writing content that assigns a personality to reader. Itâs one of the few things I have freedom in to just enjoy writing. I would honestly just get really irritated if I had to follow a set personality to reader. Yeah, I may write consistently the same reader, but that like genuinely makes me happy to write a reader that I can finally relate to. I hardly find stories like that. Much more in reader inserts. I hope you all understand. Kind of pathetic to say âI just wanna have funâ. But, itâs true and foundational to me. I have a difficult time writing if Iâm not having fun.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia (Childe) who first noticed you in the midst of a chaotic battlefield, blades clashing and blood splattering in all directions. He was there for his own mission, but your laughterâloud, sardonic, and downright inappropriateâcaught his attention.
Youâd just disarmed one of his men with a sarcastic comment and a flashy spin move, only to remark, âWell, thatâs one way to make him stop talking.â Tartagliaâs first thought was: This one gets it.
The two of you had crossed paths before, but this was different. You fought with a ferocity he hadnât seen in a long time, and the fact that you seemed entirely unfazed by the danger surrounding you only intrigued him further.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who you clashed blades with in the middle of a chaotic battlefield. The air was thick with violence and the sound of metal, but there you were, laughing through the chaos.
"Well, this is fun! Is this your idea of a date, or should I try harder?" you joked, dodging his ruthless strikes with a grin that could only be described as wicked. Tartaglia couldnât stop himself from grinning back, impressed by your chaotic energy and your apparent lack of fear.
"You're bold, I'll give you that," he quipped, flipping his spear expertly. "But I gotta askâare you always this insufferable, or am I just lucky?"
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who first noticed you during a chaotic battlefield where chaos was your language, and you spoke it fluently. You both crashed into each other mid-fight, swords clashing in a brutal rhythm, but the moment his eyes locked with yoursâamidst the blood, the screams, and the madnessâhe felt a jolt of recognition.
Not of fear, no, but of pure chaotic understanding. "Well, well, well, looks like you're not just another pretty faceâyou're a disaster in the best way possible."
You didn't miss a beat, "Flattery will get you nowhere, buddy. But Iâll take it. You really should work on your aim though."
Despite being enemies in that instant, he couldnât help but enjoy the way you threw yourself into battleâyour sarcasm as sharp as your blade. Every strike was a witty remark wrapped in bloodshed. You were an unfiltered storm of energy, and he couldnât help but think, âThis is the kind of chaos I want in my life.â
After the battle, despite the blood and sweat, you both shared a laugh as if you had just finished a light sparring session, not a life-or-death duel.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who being the chaotic soul he was, immediately clicked with you, and your shared irreverence made it impossible for him to hate you, even if you were technically enemies.
Tartaglia spoke with a handsome boyish grin, "Iâm gonna need a drink after that, how about you?"
"Nah, youâll need a bottle, pal. But we both know youâre a lightweight."
"You wound me."
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer (Scaramouche) who hated you immediately. The moment he met you, you gave him the most obnoxious smirk and made some comment about how âintenseâ he looked, like a lost kitten trying to be menacing. You couldn't help itâhis dramatic aura was begging for a punchline.
âOh, look. A robot with an existential crisis. Whatâs next, a lecture on how youâre misunderstood by the world?â The sheer audacity of your sarcasm sent a shockwave through him, one that made him freeze for a split second.
âIâd ask you to smile, but Iâm pretty sure that would crack your face,â you quipped, and the cold, calculating expression he wore only made it worse. He stared at you with thinly veiled contempt, his distaste for your flippant attitude and sarcasm immediate.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer who hated you even more when you opened your mouth. During a tense moment of political intrigue, Wanderer was deep in a conversation with some high-ranking officials, trying to manipulate them for his own advantage, when you interrupted with a perfectly timed comment.
"Wow, these people talk more than my grandmother at Christmas dinner. Do they even hear themselves?"
The room went dead silent. Wandererâs eyes narrowed as he turned to look at you, trying to figure out who this... jester was. Your irreverent attitude was a sharp contrast to his own cold, calculating nature.
"Are you always this... unbearable?" he asked, his voice laced with disdain.
"Well, only when Iâm surrounded by such charming people like you," you replied, not a hint of fear in your voice.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer who didnât know how to handle your complete lack of respect. He saw you as an irritating flyâone he couldnât just swat away because of your sharp tongue and unpredictable nature. But that didnât stop the twisted curiosity that started to bloom in him. Maybe he hated you, but that didnât mean he couldnât enjoy watching you twist every interaction into a dark comedy sketch.
âDo you always treat people like this?â he sneered, but you only shrugged.
âNah, just you,â you replied with a wink, âbut donât feel too special. I hate everyone equally.â
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who, unlike the others, didnât immediately form an opinion about you. You met him on a peaceful evening, sitting by the fire as you shared a drink.
"Nice music, but tell meâdo you ever sing songs about decapitations or revenge? You know, the classics," you asked, leaning against a tree with a mischievous grin. Kazuha blinked, momentarily thrown off balance by your unexpected question.
He chuckled, albeit nervously. "Ah, well, I do tend to favor more peaceful melodies. The world has enough violence, donât you think?"
You shrugged dramatically. "Sure, but I think itâs just a matter of perspective. Youâve never heard a good ârevenge ballad,â have you? Something with blood, guts, and a sweet vengeance story?"
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who was calm, collected, and in no hurry to make judgments about people.
"Youâve got a sharp tongue," Kazuha remarked with a soft laugh, sensing the tension you carried beneath your humor.
"Sharp enough to cut through all the nonsense in the world," you replied with a smirk. "Itâs a survival tactic, you know? Get too serious, and people start thinking youâre a threat."
Kazuha chuckled, but there was a quiet understanding in his eyes. Unlike Wanderer, who despised your sarcasm, Kazuha found a strange comfort in it.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who spent hours talking with youâhalf serious, half jokingâand by the end of the night, you couldnât quite tell if Kazuha had warmed to you or simply found your humor amusing. He was neutral, calm, but there was something about your cynicism that tugged at his heart. Not in a romantic wayâmore like a curiosity about the darkness behind your jokes.
Despite everything, Kazuha found himself oddly protective of you, even if you were too much of a loose cannon for his liking.
"You really know how to push peopleâs buttons," Kazuha mused with a faint smile, sipping his drink.
"It's a gift," you replied with a grin, letting the conversation fade into the night.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who didn't dislike you. It was more that he didnât quite understand you. He found your humor bizarreâborderline morbid, reallyâbut at the same time, it made him appreciate the way you could maintain your composure in the face of things that would send anyone else into a frenzy. He didnât want to admit it, but there was something magnetic about your wit, your sharp tongue, and the way you saw the world.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who couldnât get you out of his head after that battlefield encounter.
At first, it was your audacity that stood outâwho cracks jokes while fighting for their life? But as you two clashed more often, he found himself genuinely entertained by your wit. Each fight became less about winning and more about trading barbs.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia purposefully pick fights with you just to hear your comebacks. One time, mid-battle, you yelled, âYou gonna twirl that spear all day, or are we actually fighting?â He almost dropped it because he was laughing so hard.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who invites you for drinks post-battle as if youâre not enemies. âCome on, youâve earned it,â heâd say with a grin. âIâll even let you pick the bar. But if you poison my drink, weâre gonna have a problem.â
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia becomes your unofficial sparring partner. The battles become a game of who can outwit the other with sarcastic comments.
âYou call that a strike? My kid brother could hit harder,â youâd say, dodging his attack.
âOh yeah?â heâd reply, smirking.
âMaybe Iâll let him fight you next time.â
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia when he eventually starts treating you like one of his comrades. He shares stories about his family, asks about your past (you deflect with humor), and even brings you snacks during downtime. âYou fight better when youâre not hangry,â he claims.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer despises your existence but canât seem to avoid you. Every time heâs working on some secretive plan, you pop up with a sarcastic comment.
âWow, plotting world domination again? Donât forget the evil laughâit really sells it.â
⥠Yandere! Wanderer tries to ignore you, but your presence grates on his nerves. âDo you ever shut up?â he snaps one day, glaring at you.
âNot if I can help it,â you reply with a smirk. âWhatâs the point of silence when your misery is so much fun?â
⥠Yandere! Wanderer reluctantly teams up with you during a mission. Itâs strictly business, but you make it nearly impossible for him to stay professional.
âYou know,â you say, âif you smiled more, people might actually like you.â He glares, but the faintest twitch of amusement betrays him.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer when for the first time he lets his guard down, itâs accidental. After a long, grueling day, you find him staring at the stars.
âSo, whatâs the brooding about tonight?â you ask, sitting beside him. He doesnât answer immediately, but eventually, he mutters, âNothing youâd understand.â
âTry me,â you challenge, and for once, he indulges you.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer begrudgingly respects your intelligence. Despite your flippant attitude, you have a knack for solving problems in ways he wouldnât consider. He wonât admit it, but heâs impressed.
âYouâre not as useless as you look,â he says one day.
âThanks, Iâll embroider that on a pillow,â you reply.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer when your sarcasm starts to grow on him.
When someone else insults him, youâre the first to step in with a cutting remark. âHey, Iâm the only one allowed to call him insufferable, okay?â
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha meets you on a quiet evening, and your energy is a stark contrast to his calm demeanor.
âDo you ever stop being so mellow?â you ask after he recites a haiku. âWhatâs life without a little chaos?â
He smiles faintly and replies, âPerhaps you bring enough for both of us.â
Traveling with Kazuha feels like a comedy routine. You constantly try to bait him into arguing, but he just humors you.
âIf I didnât know better, Iâd say you enjoy this,â you tease.
âPerhaps I do,â he replies, eyes twinkling.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha is the only one who sees the cracks in your humor.
Late one night, you sit by the fire, unusually quiet. âEven storms have calm moments,â he says softly, offering you a drink.
âDonât get used to it,â you reply, smirking, but thereâs gratitude in your eyes.
Your dark humor doesnât faze him; if anything, he finds it endearing. When you jokingly suggest writing a song about a gruesome battle, he actually considers it.
âA ballad of bloodshed and bravery?â he muses. âSounds poetic.â
⥠Yandere! Kazuha subtly encourages you to open up. He never pries, but his quiet patience makes it easier for you to let your guard down.
âYouâre oddly calming, you know that?â you admit one day. âLike a weirdly wise fortune cookie.â
He laughs and says, âIâll take that as a compliment.â
⥠Yandere! Kazuha, despite his gentle nature, doesnât hesitate to protect you. When a fight breaks out during your travels, he steps in without hesitation.
âDonât worry,â he says, drawing his blade. âYouâre not facing this alone.â
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who realizes heâs falling for you during one of your sparring sessions. Youâd taken a hitânothing seriousâbut enough for him to notice. After the match, he grabbed your arm, inspecting the wound with an uncharacteristically serious expression.
âRelax, Childe, itâs just a scratch,â you said, smirking through the wince.
âStop joking for one second,â he replied, a little sharper than usual. As he wrapped the bandage around your arm, his hands were surprisingly gentle.
You tried to lighten the mood. âWhat, worried youâd have to explain this to my ghost?â
He didnât laugh this time. âNo, I justââ He stopped himself, his usual cocky grin faltering.
âYouâre reckless, you know that? I canât always be around to patch you up.â
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who finds himself watching you more carefully after that, his playful facade slipping every time you brush off an injury or laugh in the face of danger. Itâs in those moments he realizes your humor hides something deeperâa pain heâs desperate to understand.
When you finally catch him staring, you raise an eyebrow. âWhatâs with the puppy-dog eyes? Youâre not getting sentimental on me, are you?â
His grin returns, but thereâs a softness behind it. âMaybe I just like looking at you.â
For once, your usual quip dies on your lips, and the silence between you is louder than the battlefield.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer who starts noticing your distant stares during quiet moments. He catches you gazing into the horizon, your usual smirk replaced by an uncharacteristically serious expression.
âWhatâs wrong? Forgot your punchline?â he asks, his tone biting but not cruel.
âJust thinking,â you reply, your voice softer than heâs used to.
âThatâs new,â he mutters, sitting beside you. When you donât snap back with a retort, he frowns. âWhatâs going on with you?â
You shrug, deflecting with humor. âGuess Iâm out of jokes for the day. Mark your calendarâitâs a historic moment.â
But he doesnât let it go. âYou canât fool me with that act. Whatever it is, you donât have to carry it alone.â
⥠Yandere! Wanderer who doesnât push you to open up but finds himself frustrated by your reluctance to trust him. He hates that you make him care this much, but the thought of you being hurtâphysically or emotionallyâmakes his chest tighten.
When you finally let out a small, dry laugh and say, âYou really donât know when to quit, huh?â he feels an odd sense of victory.
âSomeone has to keep you in line,â he replies, the faintest hint of a smile tugging at his lips.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who finds you one evening, hunched over a journal he gifted you long ago. Youâre scribbling furiously, completely absorbed, and he canât help but smile softly at the sight.
âYouâre quite the writer,â he comments, startling you.
âGeez, give a person a warning next time,â you grumble, closing the journal instinctively.
Kazuha tilts his head, amused. âWhat are you hiding in there? Plans for world domination?â
You smirk. âNah, just embarrassing poetry about how much I love chaos.â
But when he gently reaches for the journal, you hesitate before handing it over. Inside, he finds sketches of places youâve traveled together, snippets of conversations, and little notes about your adventures.
âYou kept all of this?â he asks, his voice quieter now.
âYeah, well, donât get a big head about it,â you reply, trying to downplay the sentiment.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who notices the way your humor becomes softer, almost shy, when you talk about the memories youâve shared. Itâs in those moments he realizes how much youâve let him into your lifeâeven if you donât fully trust him yet.
âYouâre more sentimental than you let on,â he says with a gentle smile.
âDonât spread that around,â you reply, but thereâs a flicker of vulnerability in your eyes that he treasures.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who catches you off guard one evening after a particularly intense sparring session. Youâre both sitting on the ground, exhausted but grinning. He hands you a flask of water, and as you take it, your fingers brush.
âCareful, Childe,â you tease. âI might think youâre getting soft on me.â
He chuckles, but his eyes are serious. âMaybe I am. Around you, anyway.â
You pause, your usual smirk faltering as you look at him. âDonât joke about that,â you say, your tone unusually soft.
âIâm not joking,â he replies, his voice steady. âYouâre more than just a good fight to me. I care about you.â
For once, you donât deflect. Instead, you lean back, staring up at the stars, and mutter, âYouâre insufferable, you know that?â
But the way your lips twitch into a small, genuine smile doesnât escape his notice.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, as heâs walking you back to your camp, and you stop abruptly. âHey, Childe?â
âYeah?â
You turn to face him, your grin replaced by something softer, almost vulnerable. âThanks. For putting up with me.â
The warmth in your eyes is something heâs never seen before, and for the first time, you seem completely unguarded. Before you can say anything else, he cups your face with his hand, his thumb brushing your cheek.
âYouâre worth it,â he murmurs, leaning in slightly. And when you donât pull away, he closes the distance, his kiss surprisingly tender.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer who finds you sitting alone under a tree, the sun setting behind you. Thereâs an unusual stillness in your demeanor, and he approaches cautiously.
âWhatâs with the brooding hero act?â he asks, sitting down beside you.
You snort. âMaybe I just like the dramatic lighting.â
But he notices the way your fingers fidget with the hem of your sleeve, a telltale sign of your unease. âYouâre terrible at lying,â he mutters.
âOnly to people who canât take a joke,â you quip, but your usual bravado lacks its usual spark.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer who doesnât say anything, just sits beside you until the silence becomes comfortable. Eventually, you speak again. âDo you ever feel like⊠no matter what you do, youâre just waiting for the other shoe to drop?â
The question surprises him, and for a moment, he doesnât know how to respond. âAll the time,â he admits, his voice quieter than usual.
You glance at him, your eyes searching his for something you canât quite name. Then, with a small sigh, you rest your head on his shoulder. âGuess that makes two of us.â
⥠Yandere! Wanderer when the gesture catches him completely off guard, but he doesnât pull away. Instead, he shifts slightly to make you more comfortable, his hand twitching at his side as though debating whether to touch you.
âYouâre warm,â you murmur, your voice tinged with amusement.
âAnd youâre annoying,â he replies, but thereâs no bite in his tone.
For the first time, thereâs a genuine warmth in your smile, and he canât help but feel like heâs finally starting to understand you.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who notices the change in you during a quiet evening by the campfire. Youâre holding the journal he gave you, flipping through its pages with a soft expression.
âWhat are you thinking about?â he asks, his voice low and gentle.
You glance up, startled, and then shrug. âJust⊠how far weâve come, I guess.â
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who smiles, sitting beside you. âItâs been quite the journey, hasnât it?â
âYeah,â you reply, your voice unusually quiet. Then, after a pause, you add, âYouâve been⊠really patient with me. I donât think I ever said thanks.â
âYou donât need to,â he replies, his eyes searching yours.
âNo, I do,â you insist, looking at him with an intensity that takes him by surprise. âIâm not⊠easy to deal with. But you stayed anyway. That means something.â
⥠Yandere! Kazuha when the vulnerability in your tone is something heâs never heard before, and he feels his chest tighten.
Without thinking, he reaches for your hand, his fingers brushing against yours. âYou mean more to me than you realize,â he says softly.
You stare at him for a long moment before lacing your fingers with his. âMaybe Iâm starting to get that,â you admit, your voice barely above a whisper.
For the first time, your smile is free of sarcasm or deflection. Itâs warm, genuine, and utterly disarming.
âIâll take that as a victory,â he murmurs, his thumb brushing over your knuckles.
âDonât get used to it,â you tease, but thereâs no bite in your words.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha, when the firelight dances in your eyes, and he looks at you, he knows heâd follow you anywhere.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who surprises you one evening with a quiet dinner set up near a cliff overlooking the ocean. When you see the setup, complete with lanterns and freshly caught seafood, you raise an eyebrow.
âThis is new,â you say, smirking. âWhatâs the occasion? Did someone die?â
He laughs, shaking his head. âCanât I just do something nice for you?â
âYou? Nice?â you tease, plopping down onto the blanket. âYouâre setting a dangerous precedent, Childe.â
As the evening wears on, the atmosphere becomes more intimate. The way he looks at you, with a rare softness in his expression, makes your usual bravado falter.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, at one point, he leans closer, brushing a stray strand of hair from your face. âYouâre beautiful, you know that?â
You snort, your cheeks warming. âYou need to work on your pickup lines.â
But when he cups your face and kisses you, slow and deliberate, your witty comeback dies on your lips. His touch is both tender and possessive, a silent reminder that heâs already decided youâre his.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer drags you out of bed one morning, much to your annoyance. âI promise, if this isnât life-threatening, Iâm going back to sleep,â you grumble, rubbing your eyes.
He rolls his eyes but doesnât let go of your wrist. âJust shut up and follow me.â
⥠Yandere! Wanderer where he leads you to a secluded hilltop just as the sun begins to rise. The view is breathtaking, but youâre still half-asleep and unimpressed.
âYou woke me up for this?â you ask, stifling a yawn.
âUngrateful as always,â he mutters, crossing his arms. âI thought youâd appreciate the effort.â
Despite your sarcasm, you sit down beside him, the warmth of his shoulder brushing against yours. After a moment, you glance at him and say, âThanks. For this, I mean.â
⥠Yandere! Wanderer smirks, but thereâs a faint blush on his cheeks. âDonât get used to it.â
Later, when youâre lying back in the grass, the silence between you is surprisingly comfortable. He leans over, his fingers brushing against your jaw as he tilts your face toward his.
âYou drive me crazy, you know that?â he murmurs, his lips hovering just above yours.
âGood,â you reply, grinning. And then he closes the distance, his kiss as intense and consuming as his feelings for you.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha invites you on a late-night stroll, the two of you wandering through a quiet forest illuminated by moonlight. He stops at a clearing where fireflies dance in the air, their glow reflecting in his crimson eyes.
âYou sure know how to set a mood,â you say, half-joking.
He chuckles, stepping closer. âItâs not the fireflies setting the mood.â
You raise an eyebrow, your trademark smirk in place. âKazuha, are you flirting with me?â
âMaybe,â he says, his voice barely above a whisper.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha, when he takes your hand and pulls you closer, the teasing remark you were about to make dies in your throat. His hands rest on your waist, his touch featherlight yet grounding.
âYouâre the most captivating person Iâve ever met,â he says, his voice filled with sincerity.
For once, youâre at a loss for words. Instead of replying, you pull him down into a kiss, slow and deep, the world around you fading away.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia when Itâs been a year since he first confessed, and while youâve spent most of it poking fun at his intensity, tonight feels⊠different. Heâs pacing around your shared campsite after a mission, looking oddly nervous.
âSpit it out already,â you say, lounging on a log and stretching like you donât have a care in the world. âYouâre giving me secondhand anxiety.â
He stops, runs a hand through his hair, and takes a deep breath. âIâve been thinking⊠maybe itâs time we made this official.â
You blink, sitting up. âOfficial?â
âYou know,â he says, scratching the back of his neck. âUs. Together. Permanently.â
âOh, that kind of official,â you reply, your smirk widening. âYou really know how to charm a person, Ajax.â
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, before he can get defensive, you saunter over, wrapping your arms around his neck. âRelax,â you murmur, your voice dropping an octave. âIâd be stupid to say no, wouldnât I?â
The relief in his eyes is quickly replaced by something darker, more possessive. âYou really mean that?â
Your grin is wicked. âWhy donât you make me prove it?â
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia who doesnât need to be told twice. Before you know it, youâre backed against a tree, his hands roaming your body with an urgency that sends shivers down your spine.
âYouâre mine now,â he growls against your neck, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin. âCompletely, utterly mine.â
âBold of you to assume I wasnât already,â you quip, though your voice trembles as his hands slip under your shirt.
His laugh is low, almost dangerous. âOh, Iâm going to make sure thereâs no doubt left.â
The next thing you know, youâre stripped bare, pinned between him and the rough bark of the tree. His mouth is everywhereâyour neck, your collarbone, the curve of your hipâleaving marks that scream possession.
âYou look so perfect like this,â he mutters, his voice thick with need. âCompletely at my mercy.â
âIs that what weâre calling it?â you manage to say, though the tremor in your voice betrays your bravado.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia when he finally slides into you, slow and deliberate, your sharp intake of breath is all the encouragement he needs. His pace is relentless, each thrust driving you closer to the edge as he whispers possessive promises against your skin.
âYouâre mine,â he repeats, over and over, his grip on your hips bruising. âNo one else will ever have you.â
And as your nails rake down his back, pulling him impossibly closer, you realize you wouldnât have it any other way.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer, when Itâs late, and youâre lying together in his makeshift tent. The air between you feels heavy, charged with something unsaid. Finally, he sighs and sits up.
âYou know,â he says, his tone uncharacteristically soft, âitâs been a year.â
You hum, not bothering to open your eyes. âAnd?â
âAnd I think⊠maybe itâs time we stop pretending this is casual,â he says, his voice tinged with vulnerability.
Your eyes snap open, and you prop yourself up on your elbows. âWanderer, are you seriously confessing again?â
He glares, but thereâs no real bite to it. âIâm being serious.â
âSo am I,â you reply, sitting up fully. âI didnât think you were the type to get sentimental.â
âOnly for you,â he mutters, his cheeks flushing.
You laugh, leaning in to kiss him. âFine, fine. Iâll stop teasingâfor tonight.â
⥠Yandere! Wanderer when he pulls you onto his lap, his hands gripping your waist as his lips crash against yours. Thereâs nothing gentle about the way he kisses youâitâs desperate, hungry, like heâs afraid youâll disappear if he lets go.
âYouâre infuriating,â he growls, his hands sliding under your shirt to explore your bare skin.
âGood,â you breathe, grinding against him. âWouldnât want to make things too easy for you.â
His response is a low groan as he flips you onto your back, his body pressing you into the soft fabric of the bedroll. His eyes are dark, his expression utterly unguarded as he looks down at you.
âYouâre not getting away tonight,â he murmurs, his voice low and dangerous.
âWasnât planning on it,â you reply, smirking.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer when he enters you, itâs with a roughness that steals your breath, his movements erratic as he chases both your pleasure and his. His hands pin your wrists above your head, his lips tracing a heated path down your neck.
âYou belong to me,â he whispers, his voice trembling with intensity. âNo one else.â
And as your moans fill the air, his grip on you tightening, you realize thereâs no point in denying it.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha, where he's sitting beside you by the fire, the two of you wrapped in a comfortable silence. Kazuha leans toward you, his gaze soft yet intense.
âYouâve stayed with me for a year,â he says quietly. âI never thought Iâd be lucky enough to have someone like you by my side.â
You roll your eyes, though your smile is genuine. âAre you trying to propose or something?â
His expression doesnât change. âMaybe I am.â
The teasing remark dies on your lips as he reaches for your hand, his touch featherlight. âI want this. Us. Forever.â
You stare at him for a moment before breaking into a grin. âWell, Iâm not exactly in the habit of saying no to you, am I?â
⥠Yandere! Kazuha who kisses you then, slow and deliberate, his hands cradling your face like youâre something precious.
When he lays you down by the fire, his movements are unhurried, each touch a silent declaration of his devotion. His hands roam your body, mapping every curve as his lips press heated kisses along your skin.
âYouâre everything to me,â he whispers, his voice trembling with emotion.
âShow me,â you reply, your voice barely above a whisper.
And he does.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha when he finally joins with you, itâs slow, almost reverent, his movements guided by the need to make you feel every ounce of his love. His hands never leave your body, his lips pressing soft kisses against your neck, your shoulder, your lips.
âI love you,â he murmurs, his voice raw with sincerity.
And as the firelight dances across your intertwined bodies, you realize youâve never felt more adoredâor more his.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, as he stands on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the vast expanse of the ocean, his mind races. Heâs been with you for over a year, and itâs been nothing short of perfect, even if youâre still your usual teasing self. But he knows, deep down, that he canât wait any longer. Heâs made up his mind.
Marry me, he thinks, the words swirling in his mind. Itâs not a question, not really. Itâs an inevitable conclusion. Youâre his. Youâll always be his. The only thing left is to make sure you understand thatâcompletely.
âYouâd be the perfect wife,â he mutters to himself, a small smile tugging at his lips. He envisions you, sitting next to him by the fire, laughing, living, thriving beside him. He imagines it all, and it feels⊠right. Itâs what he deserves.
But the question is: How?
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, as his eyes scan the horizon, searching for inspiration. The right setting, he thinks. It has to be memorable. Something personal, something only the two of you can share. Not just some grand spectacle thatâll make you feel overwhelmedâsomething thatâll make you want to say yes without hesitation.
Or maybe I should take you by surprise, he contemplates, a mischievous glint flashing in his eyes. A more intimate, private moment. No distractions. Just the two of you, alone, with nothing but his love wrapping around you.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, where his mind races through countless scenariosâby the water, under the moonlight, with nothing but the sound of the waves crashing at your feet. Or maybe in the heat of the moment, when youâre both caught up in your passion, when the connection between you two is raw and undeniable.
But one thing is clear: Tartaglia knows youâll say yes. Youâll have to. Youâre already his.
He just has to make sure you see it, too. That you realize how deep his love goes. That you understand the intensity of what heâs offering. This isnât just a ring. Itâs a lifetime of devotion and passion.
After a long silence, his eyes harden with resolve. âIâll do whatever it takes to make you mine forever.â
The plan is set. Now all he has to do is wait for the right moment to make you his wife.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer, where two months have passed since that night in the tent, and Wanderer canât stop thinking about how perfect it is between you two. Itâs a strange thing, this feeling in his chest that grows stronger with each passing day.
Youâre mine, he thinks, but now, itâs not enough to just claim you. He wants more. He wants you by his side forever. He wants you to carry his name, to have no other but him in your life.
Thereâs something about you, the way you challenge him, the way you fight him. It stirs something inside him, something primal, something that says, this is the person youâve been waiting for.
âMarriage,â he mutters to himself. The thought comes to him like a sudden revelation, like the answer to a question he didnât know he was asking. He doesnât even blink. It just feels right.
But how? How can he make sure you understand that this isnât just a casual decision? That heâs serious?
⥠Yandere! Wanderer rolls over in bed, staring at the ceiling. A ring? A symbol of ownership, of course. Something that marks you as his. But how does he make it clear to you that he wants thisâwants youâforever?
His thoughts are a whirlwind. He knows that he canât just come out and ask you. Not like that. Youâre too clever, too observant for something so simple. No, heâll have to make it special.
Perhaps somewhere secluded, just the two of you, far from anyone who could interrupt. Heâll show you his commitment, and then, in the silence of your shared space, heâll make his declaration. A vow, a promise.
The problem is, he doesnât trust himself not to just take you right then and there. The idea of you in a white dress, standing beside him, gives him a rush of desire so intense it nearly overwhelms him. But he knows thatâs not what he wants.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer wants you to want this, too. Not out of obligation, but because you feel it, because you understand the gravity of what heâs offering.
But how can he make you feel that way? How can he show you that, even though heâs never been one for sentimentality, with you⊠heâs willing to change?
Wanderer sits up, his eyes narrowed as he thinks it over. Heâll need to be patient, let the moment come naturally, and then when it doesâŠ
Heâll claim you forever.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha, where it's been two months after that night by the fire, his feelings for you have only deepened. Heâs spent hours thinking about how to make the moment special, wondering how best to express his love. The idea of forever with you fills him with a warmth he canât quite put into words.
Youâve been his muse for so long, and now, he wants to make you his in the most meaningful way he can think of.
The problem is⊠heâs never been good at this. How does one ask for someoneâs hand in marriage without sounding clichĂ© or desperate? How can he ask you to be with him forever when everything about him feels so transient?
⥠Yandere! Kazuha watches the wind rustle through the trees, lost in thought. The answer isnât obvious, but itâs there, in the quiet moments he shares with you. He needs it to be personal, a reflection of the time youâve spent together, of the bond youâve created.
A small, intimate settingâa secluded beach at sunset, perhaps. The two of you alone, just like the first night you truly opened up to each other. Heâll ask you when the moment feels right, when the connection between you is so palpable it fills the air.
A simple question, but with everything he is.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha chuckles to himself softly. It doesnât need to be grand. What matters is that youâll be his, and heâll be yours, forever.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia when the world slows, and his heart stops for just a moment, realizing that the blow meant for him has fallen upon you instead. You stand between him and the Abyss, your eyes wide in pain as the deadly weapon pierces your body. His breath catches in his throat.
"No..." he whispers, his voice broken as he crawls toward you, blood seeping from your wound.
Your lips curve into a sad, knowing smile, but itâs sharp. "Go," you command, every ounce of strength focused on keeping him safe, even as the life begins to drain from you. "Get out of here. Iâll hold them off. You have to survive. Itâs not your time yet."
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia where his entire world crumbles. He canât think. He canât breathe. "I wonât leave you," he growls, trying to rise, but the weight of his own failure pulls him back down.
"You will," you say, your voice steady, but you can feel the darkness creeping in. "You will, Ajax. I love you... I always have." Your eyes lock, your gaze filled with such quiet resolve that it nearly breaks him. "Iâm yours... but you have to keep fighting... For us."
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia before he can protest, before he can beg, you make your move. With every ounce of your strength, you grab the closest enemy and pull them down with you into the depths of the Abyss, dragging their weapons into the chasm alongside you. You force them all to fall, ensuring they canât escape with you, ensuring that Tartaglia gets the chance to survive.
"Go!" you scream one last time. "Now!"
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, with every fiber of his being, refuses. His body trembles, his heart splintering into pieces as he watches you disappear into the darkness. He screams your name, his voice thick with despair and rage.
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, when youâre gone, when youâve been consumed by the Abyss and heâs left behind, alone with the silence, heâs never felt more hollow. He doesnât know how long itâs been since you vanishedâdays, weeks, or mere minutes. Time has no meaning when youâve lost the only thing that has ever mattered to you.
But he will find you.
His eyes darken with madness as he stands, his entire body burning with fury. He will never stop searching for you. You think you can escape him? He will tear apart the world, the Abyss, and everything between him and you. If it takes years, if it takes an eternity, he will find you.
The ring in his pocket feels like a weight he canât carry without you, but he will find a way to make the promise real. The promise he made to you. To love you, forever.
He stands, his fists clenched. The hunt begins.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer, as his eyes narrow. "Stay close," he commands. The two of you fight side by side, effortlessly synchronizing your movements as youâve done countless times before. Youâre unstoppableâuntil today.
Suddenly, the world tilts. A strange force pulls at the very air around you. The weapons they wield are like nothing youâve seen before. A barrage of magical projectiles rains down from every direction, each one more powerful than the last, each one seemingly tailored to exploit your weaknesses.
Youâre fast, but not fast enough. Your energy wanes. Wanderer's face flickers with concern as he fights to protect you, but the odds are overwhelming. Then, one of them moves too quickly, too precisely. They strike at Wanderer with a vicious blow that sends him flying back. His body crashes to the ground, and youâre the first to rush to him to take the killing blow.
⥠Yandere! Wanderer, where youâve fallen, your body slipping into the darkness to protect himâWanderer watches in disbelief, his heart pounding in his chest as youâre consumed by the Abyss. His voice is raw, lost. âNo⊠no, this canât be happening.â
He rushes toward you, but the wave of enemies, their weapons tearing at the air, blocks him. His hands are shaking as he tries to reach you, but the moment is slipping away, too fast, too cruel. His mind is screaming for him to do something, anything, but the power of the Abyss pulls you further from him.
As the last of the darkness claims you, you look back. Your eyes are filled with pain, but also love, and the last words you whisper are enough to break him.
"Live, Wanderer," you say. "Live for usâŠ"
⥠Yandere! Wanderer where his knees buckle, his world imploding in on itself as he screams your name. Thereâs no escaping the agony that claws at his heart. His mind turns dark, fueled by rage and desperation. How dare they? How dare they take you from him?
He grits his teeth, his hands shaking as he rises to his feet. âIâll kill them all,â he growls, his voice hoarse with rage. âYou wonât be forgotten. I swear on everything⊠I will make them pay.â
⥠Yandere! Wanderer stands, a man possessed, and the hunt for vengeance begins.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha, where, just as heâs about to finally put his plans into motion, to ask you the question thatâs been burning in his mind for months, everything shatters. The campfire crackles behind him as he watches you, your eyes catching the last light of the setting sun. Heâs so sure, so certain. The ring hidden in his pocket, the words ready to spill from his lipsâbut then the ground shakes.
A flash of darkness tears through the sky, and Kazuha's instincts scream that somethingâs wrong. He turns to find you, standing beside him, your hand brushing against his as if fate has already decided. But the moment is shattered, ripped away by the sound of swords clashing, the sudden pressure of cold, calculated death.
A figure in the shadows, their weapon gleaming with deadly precision, lunges at Kazuha. A dozen more emerge, surrounding you both, their weapons crackling with malicious energy. Their presence feels wrong. Their faces are hidden behind cold metal masks, and their movements are unnatural, almost mechanical.
Everything goes wrong too fast, too quickly. You don't hesitate to protect him with your very life, shielding him from a fatal blow, from an injury that could've killed him.
⥠Yandere! Kazuha, where the moment he sees you fallâyour body consumed by the Abyssâheâs frozen, unable to move. Heâs never felt fear like this before, the way it twists his insides, cold and sharp. You, the one whoâs been his light in the darkness, the one whoâs made him believe in something worth fighting for, are now gone.
His eyes are wide as he reaches for you, his heart breaking in his chest. âNo⊠No, this canât be real. You⊠you promisedâŠâ
But the Abyss has claimed you, and heâs left standing in the dark, the world crumbling around him. His hands tremble as he drops to his knees, his voice barely a whisper.
âIâll find you,â he vows. âI swear I will. I will bring you back. I will make them pay for this.â
⥠Yandere! Kazuha stands, a storm brewing within him, his resolve hardening into something unbreakable. He will find you. And when he does, there will be no place that will ever be able to hide you from him again.
The hunt has begun.
ââââââââââââ
The world feels like itâs crumbling around him. His heart pounds in his chest, and his hands tremble as he moves through the shadows, eyes searching desperately for any trace of you. Heâs been hunting for daysâno, weeksâlosing himself in the search for the only person whoâs ever truly mattered to him. The Abyss took you. They took his light, his love.
Heâs driven, possessed by the desire to find you, to bring you back to him, to make everything right again. No obstacle is too great. No danger too perilous. Every step, every breath, every heartbeat is a reminder that heâll stop at nothing to have you back.
And then, there he is. The Abyss Prince.
His blood runs cold, as he sees Aether standing there, his icy gaze locked onto the battlefield. And in the distance, he sees youâslumped, bloodied, barely conscious. His heart skips a beat.
âNo,â He growls, his voice low and dangerous. His every instinct screams to run to you, to hold you, to protect you, but thereâs a force that stops him. Something deeper, darker, something unnatural. He knows whoâs responsible. Itâs him. The Abyss Prince.
His hands curl into fists. His fury surges, but before he can make a move, a chilling, unbearable presence stops him. The world seems to slow.
Suddenly, a blade pierces his chest from behind.
He gasps, his breath catching in his throat as pain explodes through him. His hands shake as he tries to reach for the hilt, but his vision blurs. He looks over his shoulder and sees a familiar faceâa face he never thought heâd see in this moment.
Itâs you.
A mad gleam in your eyes, a cruel twist to your lips. Your posture, your expression, everything about you has changed. Youâre no longer the playful, teasing soul he once knew. Youâre cold, calculating, your emotions absent, as though the person he fell in love with is gone. All that remains is someone dangerous.
His heart shatters. His voice trembles as he gasps, âNo⊠No, youââ
But before he can finish, the Abyss Prince steps forward, his cold gaze locking onto him. âYouâre not allowed to kill him,â Aether says softly, the command in his voice undeniable. âNot yet.â
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia, where his confusion swirls into a storm. He stumbles back, watching as you step away from him, the blade still lodged in his chest, before the Abyss Prince gestures for something to happen. You donât just leave him woundedâyou restrain him, binding him with chains, powerful and unyielding, until he canât move, canât even see. His head is tilted back, his vision completely restrained completely by the thick, suffocating darkness of the chains.
He struggles, his breaths shallow, his heart racing. He can feel the cold weight of his situationâthe desperation, the helplessness thatâs taken root inside him.
âYouâŠâ Tartagliaâs voice is raw with fury, with disbelief, and with pain. âWhat did you do to her? What have you done to my wife?â
But you say nothing. You only scoff, as though the situation is beneath you, as though the man you once knew no longer matters. Thereâs no playfulness, no warmth, just a chilling, vacant emptiness where your love once was.
Tartagliaâs mind races. This canât be happening. His wifeâhis wifeâhas been manipulated. He knows it. This is all the Abyssâ doing. Youâre not like this. Theyâve broken you, twisted you, made you into something else. Theyâve taken you from him.
His frustration boils over, but heâs helpless. âIâll kill him,â he growls through clenched teeth. âIâll kill the Abyss Prince for what heâs done to you.â
But even as the words leave his mouth, he canât shake the feeling that somethingâs wrongâeverything is wrong. He canât focus. His mind is too clouded, too confused. All he wants is you back. And heâll stop at nothing to have you again. Even if it means destroying everything in his path.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer, where the madness is overwhelming. Itâs all so muchâthe pain, the frustration, the confusionâas he watches you in front of him, cold and emotionless, blade in hand, ready to kill. His thoughts spiral in a frenzy. This canât be real. He refuses to believe it. You⊠youâre supposed to be his. Youâre supposed to be with him. Yet here you are, ready to snuff his life out.
The Abyss did this to you, he knows it. Theyâve taken his love and turned her into something elseâsomething cruel, something empty. Something unrecognizable.
His hand shakes as he tries to reach for you, but the chains binding him keep him stuck. His vision is obscured. Every move he tries to make is futile, a cruel reminder of how powerless he is in this moment.
âWhy?â he chokes, his voice thick with emotion. âWhy are you doing this? I know theyâve manipulated you. I know youâre not like this.â
But you donât speak. You just look at him, your eyes cold, devoid of any warmth. He canât reach you, canât get through to you.
The Abyss Prince stands by, silent, his eyes as cold as ice. Heâs watching thisâheâs letting this happen. The rage within Wanderer swells to a point where he can hardly breathe.
âNo,â he snarls, pulling against the chains. âI will kill you. You will answer for this.â
But you just smile at him, that same cold, emotionless smile. And all Wanderer can do is watch as his love slips further from his grasp, bound by the chains of the Abyss.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha, where the world shatters around him as he watches you fall, as he watches you change into something that he no longer recognizes. The blade that once threatened his enemies is now raised to him, your eyes cold, indifferent to the pain heâs in. Heâs unable to stop you, even as he feels the weight of the chains binding him, constricting him. Youâre too far gone.
âKazuhaâŠâ you murmur, but the words donât feel right. They sound empty, distant. His heart cracks as he watches you, the woman he loves, standing before him, her emotions stripped away. You are a stranger now.
He gasps, trying to break free, trying to make sense of the situation. âWhat happened to you?â he whispers hoarsely. âPlease, just⊠just come back. This isnât you. This isnât who I fell in love with.â
But you donât answer. You only watch him, the gleam in your eyes nothing like the playful light he once knew. Itâs cold, calculating, and it freezes him to his core.
And then Aether steps forward, his voice a soft command that stills Kazuhaâs frantic mind. âYouâre not allowed to kill him, not yet,â Aether reminds once more, his presence suffocating.
Kazuhaâs breath catches, and his thoughts spin wildly. This canât be real. Youâyouâyouâve been twisted. But Aether has the control here. The chains bind Kazuha tighter, his vision clouded by darkness, and all he can do is sit in silence, trapped, powerless.
âWhy?â Kazuha chokes, frustration and fear flooding him. âWhy are you doing this?â
Still, you donât answer. You only step back, leaving him to face the Abyss alone, the chains around him tightening with every heartbeat.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia â The Fool's Heart
The battlefield is chaos, Tartagliaâs vision locked onto you. Aether stands at your side, the Abyss Prince exuding an otherworldly menace. Yet, Tartaglia doesnât care. Heâll cut through anything and anyone to save you, his beloved, from the darkness that has ensnared you.
âLet her go!â Tartaglia snarls, voice cracking with desperation. His body screams from the injuries sustained in his relentless pursuit, but his heart burns hotter. His eyes flick to youâthe source of his pain and salvation. âYou donât belong here! Come back to me!â
For a moment, his words seem to falter against your icy gaze. He knows you hear him, knows that somewhere in your heart, the person he loves still exists. But instead of the warmth he longs for, a cruel, mocking smile spreads across your lips.
âCome back?â you repeat, your tone dripping with false innocence. âOh, Tartaglia, you poor, stupid fool.â
His breath hitches, confusion flashing across his face. Aether glances at you, silent but visibly amused, as though heâs watching a particularly entertaining performance. You turn to the Abyss Prince, patting his shoulder with an air of camaraderie that shatters Tartagliaâs world.
âHeâs SO dumb,â you say with a cackle, tilting your head back to laugh. âDid he really think he was that special? That I cared? Oh, this is too good.â
Tartaglia stumbles back as if struck. âWhat⊠what are you saying?â he whispers, voice trembling.
âEverything, from the very beginningâŠâ you start, pacing in front of him like a predator toying with its prey. âThe teasing, the affection, the nights we spent together, the âsacrificesâ I made to protect you. All of it. A lie.â
He shakes his head violently, refusing to believe it. âNo! You⊠you almost died for me! You saved me!â
You roll your eyes, brandishing the very blade you once used to fight by his side. âPlease, Childe. That was just part of the plan. You were so much fun to manipulate, though. Iâll give you credit for that. Getting through your walls wasnât easy.â
Tartagliaâs hands clench into trembling fists. His heart feels as if itâs being ripped apart. âYouâre lying. This isnât you. This is the Abyss! Theyâve done something to you!â
âOh, darling,â you croon, stepping closer to him. Your blade tilts his chin up, forcing him to look into your eyes. âIâve always been like this. You were just too blind to see it.â
Aetherâs voice cuts through the tension. âEnough.â The Princeâs command is calm, almost bored. âHeâs served his purpose.â
You sigh, turning back to Aether. âFine, fine. But can we please kill him now? This melodrama is getting tedious.â
Tartagliaâs vision blurs as the weight of betrayal crashes over him. He canât reconcile the love he felt with the monster before him. Even as his body fails, his heart stubbornly clings to the hope that this is some cruel illusion.
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer â Shackles of Betrayal
Wandererâs indigo eyes are wide with disbelief, fixed on you as you stand beside Aether. The Abyss Princeâs presence is oppressive, but itâs your cold smirk that steals the breath from his lungs.
âWhy are you doing this?â Wandererâs voice cracks, his usual sharp wit replaced by a trembling vulnerability. âI trusted you. I⊠loved you.â
You tilt your head, feigning surprise. âLoved me? Thatâs sweet. But did you really think someone like me could love someone like you?â
The words hit him like a blow, but youâre not finished. You twirl a dagger in your hand, your movements lazy and confident. âLet me guess. You thought we were kindred spirits, two broken souls finding solace in each other? How⊠adorable.â
Wandererâs rage flares, his chains rattling as he strains against them. âYou liar! Iâll kill him! Iâll kill the Abyss Prince and get you back, no matter what it takes!â
Aether chuckles softly, and you laugh along with him, the sound grating against Wandererâs raw nerves. âKill him?â you echo. âOh, darling, you couldnât even touch him. And you think I want to be âsavedâ by you? Donât make me laugh.â
Wanderer freezes, the weight of your words sinking in. He studies your face, searching for any trace of the person he thought he knew, but all he finds is a stranger wearing your skin.
âWhy?â he whispers, his voice barely audible. âWhy would you do this?â
You shrug, tossing the dagger into the air and catching it effortlessly. âBecause itâs fun. And because Aether needed a little help with a certain someone.â Your gaze sharpens, and for a moment, Wanderer sees the madness in your eyes. âYou were just a pawn, dear. A very entertaining pawn, but a pawn nonetheless.â
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha â The Stormâs Deceit
Kazuha kneels, his hands bound by unyielding chains, his soft crimson eyes filled with betrayal as he looks up at you. The gentle breeze that usually follows him is eerily still, as though the world itself mourns his heartbreak.
âI donât understand,â he murmurs, his voice barely above a whisper. âHow could you⊠why would you do this?â
You sigh, as if exasperated by his naivety. âOh, Kazuha. Always so poetic, so trusting. Itâs almost endearing how much faith you put in people. Almost.â
He flinches at the derision in your tone. âYou saved me. You risked your life for me. Was all of that a lie?â
You kneel before him, cupping his face with a mocking tenderness. âNot all of it,â you admit. âSome of it was necessary. After all, how else was I supposed to gain your trust?â
Kazuhaâs breath hitches, his heart shattering into pieces he can hardly comprehend. âYou used me,â he says, more to himself than to you. âYouâve been using me this whole time.â
âBingo!â you chirp, pulling back and spinning on your heel. âTook you long enough to figure it out. Honestly, I was starting to think youâd never catch on.â
Aether steps forward, his presence a cold shadow that looms over Kazuha. âAre we done here?â he asks, his tone bored.
You glance at him with a pout. âAlmost. Just let me have this moment. Watching him break is the best part.â
Kazuhaâs head hangs low, his spirit crushed beneath the weight of your betrayal. Yet, even as despair overtakes him, a small ember of hope remains. He vows, silently and fiercely, to free you from the Abyssâ clutchesâno matter what it takes.
You, however, have other plans. As you turn away, a cruel smile graces your lips. The game has only just begun, and youâre already thinking of your next move.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia â The Fool's Heart
The battlefield reeks of blood and fire, the aftermath of Tartagliaâs relentless pursuit of you. His breaths come ragged, his body battered, yet his gaze remains locked on you. Aether stands beside you, radiating the chilling authority of the Abyss Prince.
âYou think this is over?â Tartaglia spits, his voice raw with determination. âIâll tear apart this entire Abyss if I have toâjust to bring you back.â
You laughâa sound that is anything but warm. Itâs a sharp, maniacal cackle, filled with scornful glee. âBack? To what, exactly? Your pathetic little life of lies and delusions?â
He flinches, but youâre already closing the distance between you. Your hand shoots out, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him off the ground with unnatural strength. His vision swims, yet he refuses to look away from you.
âYouâre nothing without me,â you hiss, your grip tightening as his struggles grow weaker. âDo you honestly believe your love could save anyone, Childe? That I needed saving? How quaint.â
He gurgles something incoherent, but you only tighten your hold, leaning in close enough for him to feel your breath against his ear. âThe only thing youâre good for is bleeding. Look at you, all this power, all this loyalty, and for what? For me to spit in your face?â
You release him suddenly, letting him collapse in a heap at your feet. He clutches at his throat, gasping for air, but youâre not done. Your boot presses against his chest, pinning him down.
âDonât look so shocked,â you sneer, tilting your head like a predator savoring the kill. âDid you think I was some damsel in need of rescuing? No, darling. Iâm the monster your nightmares warned you about.â
Tartagliaâs eyes blaze with despair and determination as he chokes out, âIâll⊠Iâll kill him⊠take you backâŠâ
Your laughter erupts again, wild and unhinged. âKill him? Oh, sweetheart, you canât even stand. Youâre nothing but a pitiful foolâa fool who thought love could conquer someone like me.â
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer â Shackles of Betrayal
Wanderer thrashes against the chains binding him, his indigo eyes burning with fury and disbelief. His usual sharp tongue fails him as he stares at you, standing beside Aether, a wicked grin plastered across your face.
âYouâre insane,â Wanderer growls, venom dripping from every word. âLet me go, and Iâll make you regret this.â
You clap your hands mockingly, the sound echoing in the cavernous Abyss chamber. âRegret? Oh, sweetheart, regret is for people who make mistakes. Iâm having too much fun watching you squirm.â
He lunges against the chains, his strength formidable but useless against the Abyssal restraints. âYou lied to me!â he snarls. âEverythingâyou lied about everything!â
âOf course I did,â you say with a sing-song lilt, stepping closer. Your hands trail lazily over his face, your nails scraping just enough to hurt. âDid you really think someone like me could ever care about someone like you? A discarded puppet, a useless little doll?â
His expression twists with rage, but the vulnerability behind it is unmistakable. âYouâre wrong,â he bites out. âYou cared. I saw it. I felt it.â
âOh, you poor thing,â you coo mockingly, before your voice drops, sharp as a blade. âFeel this.â
Your knee slams into his gut, forcing a pained gasp from his lips. You grab his hair, yanking his head back so heâs forced to look at you. âI never cared about you. You were just a stepping stone, a toy for me to break when I got bored. And guess what? Iâm bored now.â
Aether chuckles behind you, his voice cold and amused. âYouâre cruel,â he observes.
You flash him a wicked grin. âWhy, thank you, my prince. I do aim to please.â
Wandererâs voice is hoarse, filled with hatred and anguish. âIâll kill him. Iâll kill you. Youâll regret this.â
Your laughter is pure insanity, ringing out like a bell of doom. âTry, little puppet. Try and fail, again and again. Itâs the only thing youâre good for.â
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha â The Stormâs Deceit
Kazuha kneels in chains, his crimson eyes filled with sorrow as he gazes up at you. The stillness of the air is suffocating, the calm before a storm that will never come.
âYouâŠâ he begins, his voice a broken whisper. âYou were my compass. My home. How could you betray me like this?â
You crouch in front of him, your eyes alight with malevolent joy. âBetray you?â you echo, your tone mockingly sweet. âOh, Kazuha, donât flatter yourself. You were never that important to me.â
His breath hitches, but you donât stop. You lean in, your lips brushing his ear as you murmur, âYou were just a convenient tool, a way to pass the time. A pretty little plaything for me to use and discard.â
Kazuha flinches as if struck, his spirit cracking under the weight of your words. âYou donât mean that,â he says, but the tremor in his voice betrays his doubt.
You laugh, the sound a haunting melody of madness. âOh, but I do. Every word. And do you know the best part? Watching you break, piece by piece.â
Your hand grips his chin, forcing him to meet your gaze. âYou thought you could save me, didnât you? That your love could heal whatever darkness you saw in me. How utterly pathetic.â
He trembles under your touch, his chains rattling as his hands ball into fists. âIâll find a way,â he vows, his voice barely above a whisper. âIâll free you from this darkness.â
You burst into laughter, throwing your head back in pure delight. âFree me? Oh, Kazuha, I am the darkness. Thereâs nothing to free me from.â
Aether steps forward, his presence a cold shadow beside you. âHeâs done,â the Abyss Prince says. âLet him wallow in his failure.â
You stand, casting one last mocking glance at Kazuha. âGoodbye, my little storm. Try not to drown in your tears.â
As you walk away, Kazuhaâs head hangs low, his heart shatteredâbut the fire of his resolve burns on.
ââââââââââââ
⥠Yandere! Tartaglia â The Fool's Heart
The kiss you share with Aether is cruelly deliberate, a deep, searing display of mockery meant for the man crumpled at your feet. Tartagliaâs battered body trembles, his fists digging into the scorched ground as he watches, his chest heaving with a suffocating cocktail of pain and rage.
âDonât look away,â you taunt, your lips still wet with the evidence of your betrayal. âThis is the truth, Childe. This is all you ever were to meâsomething to laugh at.â
Aether scoffs, shoving you away, irritation flashing in his Abyssal gaze. But you only laugh, twirling back to face Tartaglia, your grin stretching wider as your gaze locks with his. Gone is the warmth he clung to, the person he thought he loved. In its place is a madness so stark, so twisted, it shatters whatever hope remained in his heart.
The realization crashes into him like a tidal waveâyou never cared for him. Not once. Not even in the smallest, fleeting moment. His breath hitches, a dry, humorless laugh escaping his lips.
âI see it now,â he murmurs, his voice hoarse but laced with a dangerous calm. âYou donât deserve kindness. And Iâve been far too kind to you.â
Your grin falters, if only for a second, as he rises to his knees, his gaze blazing with something newâsomething unhinged.
âItâs too late to turn back,â he says, his tone eerily even. âI donât need your love, or your lies, anymore. Youâll be mine, no matter what I have to destroy to make it happen.â
As Abyss subordinates drag him away, his eyes never leave yours, his smirk dark and foreboding. âRun, hide, laugh while you can. Iâll be coming for you. And when I do, youâll regret every breath you ever stole from me.â
âââ
⥠Yandere! Wanderer â Shackles of Betrayal
Your lips crash against Aetherâs, an act of derision that sends a violent shudder through Wandererâs restrained form. His chains rattle as his whole body tenses, the burning in his eyes consuming what little humanity heâd clung to.
âYouâre a fool,â you whisper against Aetherâs lips before pulling away, your laughter slicing through the silence. The Abyss Prince wipes his mouth with a look of disdain, but your amusement only grows. You whirl around to face Wanderer, your grin a feral slash across your face.
âYou never saw it, did you?â you sneer, your voice dripping with venom. âAll that time, all those stolen momentsâand you never noticed the madness in my eyes. Youâre not a victim, Wanderer. Youâre just another broken thing for me to play with.â
For a moment, heâs silent. Then, the corners of his lips twitch upward, forming a smile that doesnât reach his eyes. âIs that so?â he murmurs, his tone soft yet laced with something chilling. âYou think this is over, donât you?â
You tilt your head, intrigued by the shift in his demeanor.
âGo ahead,â he continues, his voice gaining strength. âLaugh, mock me, pretend youâve won. It doesnât matter anymore.â
The Abyss soldiers begin to drag him away, but his eyes stay fixed on yours, unyielding and terrifying.
âYouâve taken everything from me,â he says, his voice dropping to a menacing whisper. âSo now, Iâll do the same to you. Love? Hate? It doesnât matter anymore. Iâll strip you bare, piece by piece, until thereâs nothing left but me.â
And as heâs pulled into the shadows, his final words echo like a curse: âYouâll never escape me, not even in death.â
âââ
⥠Yandere! Kazuha â The Stormâs Deceit
Your kiss with Aether is theatrical, exaggerated, designed to carve deeper into Kazuhaâs shattered heart. The Abyss Prince shoves you away, muttering something under his breath, but you laugh, spinning to meet Kazuhaâs gaze.
âDid you think you were special?â you ask, your voice lilting with mockery. âThat your poetry and promises could bind me to you? Oh, Kazuha, you were always chasing a storm you could never tame.â
Kazuha doesnât respond, his crimson eyes fixed on yours with a quiet intensity. But the light in them has changed, twisted into something unrecognizable.
âYouâve lost,â you declare, turning away, but his voice stops you cold.
âNot yet,â he murmurs, his tone so calm it sends a chill down your spine.
You glance back, and the sight of himâthe once-gentle warrior now smirking with a darkness that rivals your ownâsends your pulse skittering.
âYou think youâve won,â he continues, his voice soft but deadly. âBut this isnât the end. Itâs only the beginning.â
The Abyss guards move to haul him away, yet he doesnât resist. His gaze remains locked on you, his smile growing as he speaks his final words.
âIâll break you,â he says, his voice like a whispered promise carried on the wind. âNot with anger, not with hatredâbut with love twisted into something you canât escape. And when youâre mine, when youâre begging for the freedom you so carelessly destroyed, Iâll remind you of this moment. Iâll remind you who truly holds the chains.â
And as the shadows swallow him, his presence lingers, a storm on the horizon waiting to strike.
ââââââââââââ

â„HOW WE LOVE III
pairing: various x reader (vi, caitlyn, vander)
rating: giving/receiving love language headcanons
a/n: so, this is officially a new series! please keep in mind this will be my first time writing for all upcoming characters, respectful criticism and advice on how to write them is welcome! SPOILER ALERT!! reblogs and comments are appreciated, hope you enjoy!!
VI
giving:
poor vi, her eldest daughter syndrome bleeds through every aspect of her life (relatable but we move on)
all jokes (are we joking though??) aside, i think vi would be hesitant to love quickly or even love at all
vi isn't someone who shows her love through words though, so i feel like if she really began to care and love you, she would show it though her actions
i feel like her main type of acts of service would be protecting you in some manner, whether it be verbally or physically
she's genuinely afraid of losing you, so the protective nature would be slightly overbearing in cases where she's on the edge, but other than that, it's pretty standard.
quality time is another big one for her, not just because it's also a way for her to trust you, but because she'd quite literally just want to get to know you better
i could see this being the case whether or not you live the same type of life (i.e: being a zaunite or not)
i feel like she's seen enough to know that regardless of what side you're on, experiences vary for everyone, and she'd just want to know yours and through that, open up to you
small side tangent, but she's TOUCHY.
once she's attached to you, so are her hands. they quite literally are always on you in some way, whether that be through subtle touches (i.e: letting her hand graze against your side when she walks past you, her hands lingering too long as she's holding you, etc.) or through much more obvious ones like an arm wrapped around your waist
receiving:
although she is a protecter by nature, this causes her to be very wary of people and not very trusting of just anyone
i feel like she wouldn't just prefer acts of service but she would need it in order for her to begin to trust you
acts of service, subconsciously or not, are vital to slowly letting down her walls and letting her become trust worthy of you, but once they're down, it's game over
we see in the show how she is once she trusts someone, she shakes off the shell she shows the world and just becomes herself.
i feel like she'd love someone who can't keep their hands off her (except in the obvious situations)
even lingering gazes would make this girl WEAK and she knows it, so just imagine what having your hands all over her does to her brain (short answer: she short circuits)
much like vander, i think a part of her craves words of affirmation because of how her past mistakes constantly haunt and consume her being
even though a part of her knows it isn't her fault things turned out the way it did, a part of her mind won't allow her to believe it
even if she never might truly believe or accept this fact, hearing you tell her good things about herself and praise her makes her head spin with this feeling she can't explain, but all she knows is that it's one she'd never let go
VANDER
giving:
vander to me is probably one of the more protective characters in the show and i think his love languages in terms of giving reflect that heavily
i personally think he'd adore quality time the most, being the man he is, he doesn't really get much time to himself outside of his kids and dealing with the Lanes
it doesn't really matter what kind of quality time to him either imo, i think he'd be most comfortable with just being in your presence, even if you two aren't saying anything
one of his favorites moments though, is seeing you with his kids
he adores seeing you with them, the sight warming his heart knowing the family he works so hard to keep together is happy
words of affirmation i can see being another huge one for him, he'd definitely let you know that you're doing good in whatever you may be doing or even just making it through each day
he'd often pull you aside to let you know though, wanting his words to only be for you and not the prying eyes of others (or the kids potentially listening in on you both)
i could see vander being into physical touch, but only very slightly if it's in public
if you were behind the bar with him, he'd ever so slightly graze the small of your back with his palm or subtly grab onto your waist as he cleaned off the bar
he's an asshole though (lovingly, of course) and would do this especially if you were talking to someone just to get a laugh out of it
he'd be extra careful with this though, as he knows that he constantly has eyes on him, ones that could be dangerous to you if he overdoes his affections
receiving:
i could see vander loving words of affirmation in return, he definitely needs to hear that he's doing a good job taking care of his kids (especially when he feels like they fuck up because of him)
i also can see him holding a lot of doubts about past decisions in all aspects, so just hearing you tell him that he's doing good and that everything will be alright grounds him more than anything
even just telling him that he's a good father, even with his faults and past mistakes will make him feel so much better, no doubt making him fall for you even more than he thought possible
he's the biggest sucker for physical touch too, especially really subtle ones just for the two of you
don't get him wrong, he loves big gestures of physical affection, but he's not alone with you often, making the subtle ones happen a lot more often
he definitely loves holding hands and interlocking fingers especially, the latter being the one you two do more often when around most people
but when the last drop is closed to outsiders and is usually just benzo, the kids, and yourselves, he's all over you
he'll mostly have you in his lap if you're not off with the kids, or just hugging you from behind
CAITLYN
giving:
this girl is a bit of a tough one for me i won't even lie, but she's very well meaning in most aspects
i feel like she'd be into quality time and gift giving honestly
hear me out though, living in piltover her whole life and only recently seeing for herself how the world is and how things can change in an instant makes me think she'd gravitate towards spending time with you in one way or another
it doesn't even have to be explicitly spending time together either, just the fact that you'd be near her would be enough, especially if you're close enough to where she could protect you if need be
her protective nature is one reason why time with you is so sacred to her, not only that she'd be able to cherish her time with you, but that she'd truly be able to appreciate life in it's entirety
the gift giving aspect simply stems from her being wealthy (well not really)
i just see her as someone who expresses herself and what she wants to say with actions, and those actions are gifts
doesn't matter what you like honestly, she'd get it somehow. luxurious clothes? boom, right there on your shared bed. foods or sweets? she somehow has the entire stock right in front of you with a small smile on her face
both of these, to me, just stem from her innate desire to make you happy
she wants to give her lover the world, and with all she's seen in such a short amount of time after being spoonfed certain things about the world, she wants to make sure you're happy with her for as long as you both live
receiving:
receiving is a slight improvement but honestly she screams physical touch and words of affirmation yearner
think about it, being as skilled as she is, she's probably gotten praise about it from everyone
from you, though? it's way different in her mind, especially if you actually talk about why you give her the praises you do
she's expected the praise by now, but to her, it'd feel different because with you, it didn't feel..obligatory or forced
it wouldn't feel like the stuffy, fake pleasantries she'd be used to being in such a high place of power all her life, but something much more sincere and loving
she'd crave it, even going so far as to push herself beyond her limits just to hear you praise and support her for doing so
physical touch to me is another big one for her, i could see touching being a huge factor for her simply because of the intimacy
she most likely has never had anyone as close to her as her lover, so the sheer intimacy with even the slightest of touches knowing that she will only allow this from you is mindblowing for her in the best ways possible

Tips and FAQ for Asks
Hello beautiful humans, I want to do my best to get to everyone's asks so here are a few things you can do to help make that happen! (if you're looking for the cast stream master list, skip to the bottom)
Please don't spam the same question repeatedly. I will get to you eventually, I promise! But when you submit the exact same thing multiple times, it just slows me down. I've got one single brain cell, please have mercy.
No spoiler requests. I cannot tell you anything about future episodes, when they will come out, what will happen to certain characters, how the story ends etc. We're limited on what we can say in general until more episodes release. The entire cast has signed NDAs (non disclosure agreement) preventing us from revealing anything, but more than that, we wouldn't want to ruin your experience of watching and engaging with the show organically! Trust me, just enjoy the ride, it's better that way.
Don't take anything too seriously. Please keep in mind most of these answers will just be for fun. My thoughts and opinions on the character, both for silly things like favorite dessert and more serious things like character analysis, are not hard and fast canon. Same goes for any of the actors. We can speculate about our characters, we know and understand them well, but when in doubt, assume its allllllllllllll non-canonical haha
Read through previous asks. This will help prevent asking things I've already answered. I'm going to be tagging (i swear I'll do it fr) my answers with #amanda asks and #tadc asks so you can find them more easily. If you do ask a question I've already answered IT'S OK DON'T PANIC I won't be upset haha
Even though I'll be tagging my answers so you can easily find them, here are a few frequently asked questions just to get them out of the way. If you decide to ask me something I've already answered, or something that goes against the guidelines above, I'll probably skip it, you silly geese.
Q: I've seen people use several different pronouns for you, what are your preferred pronouns? A: They/them and I prefer masc leaning terms generally! I'm queer, NB and very open about my identity. But people will sometimes use she/her because they don't know. I will never get upset with someone for not knowing- it's ok. But now that you've read this, you know! So you can go forth educated. You're welcome to correct anyone who doesn't know, but please be kind to each other. We've all been the person who didn't know before.
Q: What do you think of X ship? A: I love and support all the ships! Ships are part of a healthy fandom, keep creating content that makes you feel seen and that YOU want to see, that's the foundation of creativity. And if anyone disagrees with you, remind them that a lot of classics are just fanfiction about the gods at the time. It's always been here.
Q: What is your favorite ship? A: Bunnydoll and Buttonblossom, because the dynamics are so much fun.
Q: Do you like X AU? A: Yes. It doesn't matter what it is, yes. I love the AUs and if it's a new one, you better include a link so I can find it. I want all of them, thank you so muuuuuuuuch~
Q: Have you seen or played X game/show/movie/meme etc.? A: Always happy to chat about other media! But if you wanna ask about something specific, please include a link or explanation because lets be just so very honest, half the time my brain is off in adhd land so there's a good chance I'll have no idea what you're talking about at first.
Q: Have you watched Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure? A: Not yet! But due to VERY POPULAR REQUEST I will be putting together a watch stream to watch it live with yall. Once that's happened, I'll put the link here.
Q: Have you seen Queen's second game and will you be playing it? A: Yes, we've all seen the trailer and we're very excited! We will be playing it as a full cast, just like last time, as soon as the game is finished. For now, please go enjoy the demo and support the team! Once it's out and we're ready to stream it, I'll post the link here.
Q: Can you come to X convention? A: I will come to any convention that yall want to see me at!
BUT
In order for that to happen, you have to request me directly with the convention. Most will have either a request form on their site or a specific email for requests. Just write in that you would like to see me at their event, and then they will get in touch with my agent to book me!
Q: Can I request a song for you to sing? A: Of course! I promise yall I'll do my best to put out more songs this year. If there's a cover you want me to consider doing, or an artist/composer you'd like to hear me work with, let me know!
Outside of that, if you just want a little clip, you can drop requests in the asks and if I know the song I might record a bit. This is COMPLETELY dependent on time, especially if I'm busy. Please understand â€ïž
You can also make requests during stream signings, which is easier to accommodate in the moment. Just put the request in the order notes, and I'll sing a little bit for you while I sign IF I know the song. So choose wisely.
Q: Can I write an ask just to show you cool stuff or tell you you're awesome? A: Of course you can! You can also tag me in stuff, that's ok too. I appreciate all the love and support yall have shown for me, Ragatha and the show in general. Yall are truly incredible. â€ïž
Q: Do you have a PO Box so we can send you stuff? A: I'm setting it up THIS WEEK. I will post it here when it's ready.
Q: Where can I find X stream that the cast did? A: Moving forward, I will keep a master list of our group streams in order of date aired, to the best of my ability. If I miss one, let me know and I'll get it on here!

Hey! :) Iâve really been wanting to get into reading comics but I have no idea where to start đ„Č
Do you have any recommendations or references for how to start reading about different dc characters? I mainly want to start reading about batman and the rest of his clan but I want to branch out to other characters as well
hi!! i've gotten this question a lot and i'm so sorry it's taken me so long to answer all of y'all! but i wanted to make sure if i made a list, it would be with the best references i could find, and that it made sense for even a beginner
what i've found is that... there's apparently no right answer? mostly, you'll find people recommending you to start with their favorite collections, like Batman: Hush, etc etc. from what i've been able to tell, getting into comics is about choosing one that sounds the most interesting to you, and going from there. if you like the collection you've picked up, then someone will recommend another collection, so on. a lot of people recommend that you start with a certain character, someone that you really like. so if Tim Drake is calling to you like many... many people, then you can find a reading guide for him and pick and choose from a collection. like this one from this blogger that helped me. one of my favorite characters is Cassandra Cain (though I don't write her as often, which kind of happens when I really like a character?). she has a Batgirl run!! Batgirl #1. (((please note that this link takes you to readallcomics.com, which you should use an adblocker for if you want to use this website. however!! it is very different from readcomics.com))) look how cool she is!!
however I personally like to try and read in chronological order because I don't like missing out on anything. in my search, i found an amazingly ordered, extensive website called comicbookherald.com
i started using this because they have a list in chronological order for many, many, many characters in the DC universe:
https://www.comicbookherald.com/reading-dc-comics/
one of the very first options on this list is Batman (listed in alphabetical), and when you click on him, you'll find exactly what you're looking for:
https://www.comicbookherald.com/reading-dc-comics/batman-reading-order/
the links on the actual titles in the list will take you to Amazon to buy the comic, but there are other ways to find these comics either online (like seen above with Batgirl #1) or through your local library (recommended). if your library doesn't have them, you might be able to find them at a nearby one or you can ask the librarian how a request works. they'd probably be happy to get it for you (support your local libraries!!!) you might find that you prefer going to a comic shop, and that's great too
i also looked up the publication history of the Batman comics using Wikipedia, just to make sure that I knew what i was doing, and i started with the very first on the list: Detective Comics #27. this is Bruce Wayne/Batman's very first appearance.
i also found some helpful videos that i personally have tried to follow:
"BATMAN 101: A GUIDE TO HELP YOU START READING BATMAN COMICS!" by History of the Batman
"Where to Start Reading Batman Comics | Best Batman Comics for Beginners in Collected Editions!" by Near Mint Condition
the issue is that it's pretty hard to read all of the characters at once and stay in order, which means you'll probably want to stick to reading one character at a time and piecing it together like that. but if you're feeling brave, i'd cross reference the years and publication history and go by the order of when each character shows up: start by reading Batman, and when Dick Grayson appears, look up his list and see how the publication history looks, and i guess start trying to read them side by side? the same would go for when Jason appears, then Tim, etc etc. but this might be VERY difficult, so i am very much recommending beginners to start by reading Batman's and branch out from there
my personal favorite right now is Batman & Robin: Year One because Dick Grayson is in it and he's so cute here in his Robin days
edit: adding on this ask i got about hoopla
#batman comics#batman#dick grayson#batfamily#batman reading order#comic reading order#batfamily reading order#comic reading#comic books#batgirl 1#batgirl#cassandra cain#tim drake#this is the best that i can do rn#maybe in the future i can make a more extensive list#but for now...#i'm actually working on logging my favorite comics and how i felt about them#so that i can give proper recommendations

Thing I really enjoy about DA:TV - Rook
Full disclosure: I feel that the issues people have with Rook as a protagonist are very much a product of our time and culture, as well as the expectations created for the game in the past decade.
We live in a moment when all most heroes and protagonists are morally grey, unwilling, disillusioned, and detached. Being genuine, trying to do the right thing, and perhaps even being uncompromising about your values is seen as cringe.
So yeah, Veilguard came out at a point in my life when I felt like I was watching movies with the same main character and playing characters with the same sort of snarky attitude.
Iâm genuinely so into a Rook who is just uncompromisingly a kind personâsomeone who asks how the characters are doing and helps people not just with fetch quests but with their personal lives. A lot of it is personal preference, but my favorite Veilguard moment was finding out Bellara is writing a book (and helping with it) and having drinks with Taash. Let me roleplay a hero that characters actually, genuinely like and want to spend time with. Show me the little things.
I guess the big payoff of Rook is the finale of the game. There are several lead-up conversations with Solas about leadership, and the contrast between the two is repeatedly emphasized. Solas thinks removing distractions from the teamâs lives would help achieve a goal, but Rook genuinely cares. The companions willingly follow Rook out of respect and care, not out of necessity. The game wouldnât work with a different protagonist but thatâs a separate discussion.
Rook is my special little treat that I play in these tiring times.

The other day in a conversation about I'll Turn Back This Time, @troubled-mind asked me about my favorite dramas that show the same couple falling in love multiple times, in different iterations.
So of course, I am now here with a list! Takes on the fantasy trope that ITBTT uses--an alternate universe and/or time travel mechanism that sets up the protagonist to fall in love with the same person, or different versions of the same person, more than once--is actually not super common in dramas, but there are a handful of shows that do something like this:
TriageÂ
If you ask me what is the best QL with this trope, I don't even need to think about it: Triage is the answer. I love this show, and alongside its masterful suspense plot you get to watch these two try (and fail) to get the other to fall for them over and over again. It's a great time.
Someday or One DayÂ
If you ask me what is the best drama with this trope, period, I have to hand it to Someday or One Day, a Taiwanese drama that is probably my favorite time travel alternate universe romance of all time. In this one you get multiple versions of the same characters falling in love with each other and traversing time and space to find each other. It's so good that a Korean production attempted to replicate its magic. An absolute must watch for people who love this trope!
Every You Every Me
Now we're getting into some with asterisks. In this show you get to watch the same two actors play multiple different pairs who fall in love with each other in different universes--kind of. I can't say more or I will spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet! It's not a perfect show by any means, but it's a lot of fun.
4 MinutesÂ
This show is not a great example of this trope IMO, but it sort of gets at the experience, as you see a few different versions of the lead characters and their relationship through various narrative turns. I'm keeping it vague because saying much more would be spoilerific!
The Legend of the Blue Sea
A mermaid meets a conman, has a whirlwind romance, and then deletes his memory. But oops! They were already lovers in a previous life, her mermaid powers are not working quite as planned, and she can't stop herself from finding him again anyway. It's all a bit more complicated than that, but the point is you get to watch these two find each other and fall in love several times in multiple lifetimes. And damn did I love it every time.
Until We Meet AgainÂ
In this drama, the story is about two souls who meet again in another life after a tragic end in their first. So it kinda fits here, but their reincarnated souls go into new characters played by different actors, so the experience of watching it is a bit different. This one is less about time travel and choice as it is heavy on the red string of fate.
Extraordinary YouÂ
In this fantasy drama, our mains are side characters in a manwha who gain sentience and start trying to change their story together while an omnipotent writer keeps shuffling them back to where they think they belong and deleting their memories of each other. It's definitely a unique twist on this trope, and you get to watch them fight to remember and fall for each other and find a way to take control of their destiny over and over again.
In addition to narratives with a fantasy construct that resets or produces multiple iterations of the core relationship, I also thought about second chance romances where you get to see both the original and the second chance love story in full, giving you the experience of watching the same two people fall in love twice. Some noteworthy dramas in this category:
Lighter and Princess
This drama centers on two tech genius types who originally fell in love in college and started a company together before something went very wrong, resulting in his incarceration. The story picks up when he gets out of prison and sets out to reclaim his legacy, and you get to live both their first and second love stories in detail. One of my absolute favorites and permanently in the rewatch rotation.
We Best LoveÂ
This story is told in two parts, with the first focused on their original enemies to lovers romance in college, and the second their reunion after a confusing and closure-less break up. It's honestly kind of a mess but I love it so much anyway, in no small part due to the actors.
The End of the World With YouÂ
And now for something a little darker! This one is heavy on the toxic psychosexual vibe, and all the more fascinating for it. Two former lovers meet again at the end of the world, and we see what went wrong for them in college and watch them sort through the wreckage as adults and try to make something of the time they have left.
First Love: Hatsukoi
Two high school sweethearts get separated by life circumstances, and meet again twenty years later to realize they are still not over it. I was charmed by the teen love story in this one especially.
Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo
Let me end on a note of excellence and take this opportunity to again implore everyone to watch this beautiful show. Both iterations of this relationship are compelling and complicated and full of deep feeling; it's one of the most satisfying second chance romances I have seen, and after everything they've been through, it's so rewarding to see these two get the chance to fall in love again.

I donât think Lilyâs a particularly empathetic person tbh. Petuniaâs a cow, but they were obviously close once and Lily doesnât possess the sensitivity required to understand that itâs coming from a place of being made to feel less than. She flirts with James while her friend is choking on soap suds and throws Severusâ otherness right back in his face after he does the same to her, but only one of them thinks they behaved poorly in that situation. Sheâs fine with dating an abuser once he (publicly) calms down a bit, but doesnât require evidence of him making amends to his victims. Itâs an interesting character quirk, her self righteousness, but not one that tends to come with introspection. I wonder if people mature mentally in the afterlife? If sheâs stuck at 21, forgiveness is probably off the table. If sheâs 38, well, I think itâs totally reasonable to be angry at the prophecy debacle, but she also has decades of evidence of his genuine atonement.
Severus is so self-loathing and desperate for connection that heâs incapable of accepting heâs ever got a point when it comes to conflict with Lily, and Lily is a golden child unused to being held accountable for anything. Itâs a toxic combination even when theyâre children. Add in the fact that Severusâ mistakes indirectly got her killed, and I think theyâd both end up feeling that her failures as a friend were so insignificant in comparison itâs not even worth discussing. Maybe the best case is that doing some more self-flagellating and her blessing him with forgiveness even with no reciprocal exchange allows him to move unburdened onto a Lily-free afterlife.
Yes, I think youâve absolutely nailed it. Severus feels so terrible because he had a deep emotional dependence on Lily. And honestly, I get itâa marginalized kid from a conflict-ridden home, likely neglected by his parents, with zero social skills. Iâve always thought Lily was his attachment figure, which is pretty common among people with emotional deficits: they latch onto those who show them any affection in an exaggerated way, leading to dependency. And clearly, Lily didnât see their friendship the same way, because she didnât have those emotional needs.
I mean, as much as Petunia was conditioned to be resentful and we dislike her, we can probably credit her when she implies multiple times that Lily was the favorite child. Itâs logical: Lily was the "magical" child. Plus, being the younger sibling likely meant she was spoiled by default, and being a witch added another layer of fascination for her parents. She was probably used to a lot of attention and praise, which only solidified during her school years as she became popular, well-liked by adults and peers, and widely considered very attractive. Honestly, I wouldnât be surprised if she was a bit egocentric, which fits with her inability to put herself in someone elseâs shoes or care about anything unless it affected her personally.
For instance, she didnât care about Mary McDonald being bullied because Snape was her friend. But the moment Snape stopped being her friend, she suddenly brought it up. Like, what? It didnât bother her before? Or did she not care because she didnât need leverage against Severus? And isnât it convenient that she "hated" James because of how he treated her friend, but once that friend wasnât in the picture, she ended up dating him? What, did she suddenly forget everything James did, or was it just that she no longer needed to pretend to care? In my headcanon, she was all about appearances. She got involved in the war because it affected her directly; if it hadnât, I think she wouldnât have cared at all.
That said, I donât think Severus owed anyone an apology. I mean, I understand why he felt guilty, and itâs commendable, but if Iâd spent five years being bullied and harassed and then my ex-best friendâwho witnessed all of itâstarted dating my bully? I swear Iâd burn her hair off. Iâd grab a lighter and make a bonfire right in the middle of class. And then Iâd pluck her eyelashes out, one by one. Honestly, itâs like if your friend decided to date a guy who tried to assault youâwhat the actual fuck, girl? What are you even thinking? Let her mother apologize for raising her with no sense of ethics.

If you're looking for threesome requests, my personal favorite is Blood Orange (Raph and Mikey). I don't need anything too crazy (I'm honestly as vanilla as they come đ
) but maybe it's the two of them and the reader's first time together? They're still figuring things out a little, and Raph and Mikey need to come to an understanding on how to go about things, and it ends up being very sweet, passionate and ultimately a success. I hope this is okay. Let me know, and thank you so much!
Blood Orange (18+)
Fortnite!Raphael x reader x Fortnite!Michelangelo
A/N: Iâm not that vanilla myself, but Iâve decided to cut back just a little, before any full on action is about to happen, keeping it very implied (and maybe because I got a little tired but still had an urge to get this posted todayđđ). It doesnât go into detail about their first time together, but it does set the stage for how a threesome would come about, and I hope thatâs okayâ€ïžđ§Ą
All characters are aged up.
Warnings: Fwb relations, implied smut, almost fingering, turtley anatomy, implied threesome.
You had tried plenty of things in your life. Many exciting things that some people could only dream of. Though you might not consider them exciting or as extreme as some people might see it, but you did enjoy it. You had enjoyed all of it. But there was still one thing that you really wanted to try. A thing you had only been able to dream of. A fantasy that had been making its way through your thoughts, over and over for quite some time now. And now, as you sat between Raphael and Michelangelo on the couch, watching a show that they had decided on, your little fantasy made its way back into focus, causing your heart to quicken a bit. And what was that little fantasy of yours? A threesome. Not just any threesome, but a threesome with you, and the two mutant turtles you sat between. And to be quite honest, that fantasy had been getting you in the mood like no other. Especially when you knew exactly what the two brothers were capable of.
For several weeks now, you had had a friends with benefits relationship with not just Raphael but Michelangelo as well. However, neither of them seemed to know about the other. None of them knew that just moments after you had been sucking Raph off in his bedroom, you would just skip across the hall to Mikeyâs room, where he would eat you out in his own room. And in all brutal honesty. You loved it. It was probably one of the best things you had ever gotten yourself into. Some days it had gotten more freaky than others, with you having been fucked thuroly by one of the brothers, before you made your way to the other brother to experience the whole thing all over again.
You have had both Raph and Mikey, several times, even within hours of each other. So of course, the natural thing to be wanting next, was to have both of them at the same time. And of course, as you sat there, squished between the two men that have been pounding you to heaven and back, you couldnât help but wonder if you should do something about it. That this was the day that you would cause your fantasy to become real.
With a lip bite you shifted your attention between the two mutants, wondering which one would be the first to make a move on you. Normally, it wouldnât take long before one of them would cough, or do something before mumbling something about going to their room, as a sign for you to follow when the coast was clear, and all suspicion was off. So now you sat there, excitingly waiting for any of them to do something. Both Mikey and Raph sat with their eyes glued to the show, playing on the screen before you. They would only move once in a while, in an attempt to get more comfortable on the couch. At every move, you found yourself hoping, getting excited at the thought of what might happen next. So you could not help but feel a little disappointed when they were only scratching their chin, or just moving one leg over the other. It was almost getting to the point of infuriating. But then, something happened, sending shivers of joy through your body.
Raph had moved a hand to his chin, giving it a few scratches, before letting it fall back down. But instead of returning to a rest in Raph lap, just like it had done moments before, it now came to rest on your thigh, giving it a small squish, before letting his thumb rub against your clothes. It was impossible for you to not bite the inside of your lip.
Just as you started to focus on the feeling of Raphâs hand on your thigh, you felt Mikeyâs hand carefully nudge yours onto his lap, with his hand slowly guiding it to where he wanted it, getting closer and closer to his cloaca. You sucked in a silent breath, noticing how both brothers were still staring at the television, not noticing what the other was doing. It was thrilling, as you felt your lower region beginning to puls with excitement. Raphâs hand moved closer to your pulsing center, as your little finger made contact with Mikeyâs needy cloaca. You swallowed a moan, but you could not hide your heavy sigh. That caused Raph to chuckle, and Mikey to crack a small smile.
âAnd here I thought she would be a harder nut to crackâ, he chuckled, finally looking your way, with his hand squishing your thigh once more. This time you could not hide your moan, too shocked to even try.
âReally?â, Mikey asked, slowly moving your hand over his cloaca, smirking as you saw your flustered and confused expression. âI honestly expected her to crack a lot sooner. You know how she gets when she has first put her mind to somethingâ.
âWhat are you talking about?â, you asked, feeling your heart beating faster and your breath getting heavier.
âDid you seriously not expect us to know?â, Raph chuckled with a smug smile, leaning in closer to your face, his hand moving to cup your heat, while Mikeyâs member slowly came out to let your fingers grace against it. âWeâre mutant turtles babe, we can smell it on youâ.
âWhat?â, you asked, suddenly feeling very mortified, freezing in your seat.
The two brothers started laughing, before moving closer against you.
âI donât think she knows, Mikeyâ, Raph said, rubbing his hand over your center. âI donât think she knows that we can smell when she gets aroused, or when she has been with any of usâ.
âYou can what?!â, you asked, turning from one to the other, your eyes wide, as the revelation of Raphâs words started sinking in. They knew, and they had always known.
âWhat Raph just told youâ, Mikey smiled, using your hand to stimulate his cloaca, letting his head fall back against the headrest of the couch, looking at you with dreamy yet mischievous eyes. âI donât think you realize how much fun weâve had with itâ.
âFun?â, you asked, feeling Raphâs fingers sneak towards the hem of your bottoms.
âYeah, funâ, Raph smirked, slowly moving below you underwear, as his fingers sneaked their way down. âItâs almost a game to see who can make you cum the quickest, or if we can beat your highest amount of orgasms in one dayâ.
âWhy do you think we both want you on the same day, just right after each other? We know just how to overstimulate youâ, Mikey said.
âBut tonightâ, Raph said, making his way past your mount, with one finger gracing your slick folds, causing you to shutter, wishing that he would press down, right where you needed him and Mikey the most. âWe thought it would be best to see if we could do it all, together, right here, on the couchâ.
âHow does that sound?â, Mikey asked, his voice already sounding airy.
You did not hesitate, pressing your fingers against Mikeyâs cloaca, causing his member to slowly slip out, his head peeking into the palm of your hand, while you lifted your hips just a little, chasing Raphâs fingers.
âI say, bring all you gotâ, you smiled, feeling delighted that your fantasy was finally becoming a reality.

Fadel and Bison Learning to Volley Affection in the way that only assassin (real) brothers (fake) can
the curse of being me is that I watch this show entirely with the lens that fadel/kant and bison/style are basically the same characters with a few key differences [like c'mon Kant's bg story is that he was a khun nu himself suddenly thrust into poverty and fatherhood to his baby brother??? its embarrassing how easy it is to watch the show in this way I think the show should make this harder for me] and it's in these differences that the compatibility of FadelStyle and KantBison comes in so strongly that it also kind of dooms Fadel and Bison to have ever worked as a pair even though that would be as far as I can tell Bison's ideal scenario?? [please his lovers in trenches fantasy is canonical the show is really just putting it all out there for me okay??]
And it's too simplistic to be an analysis and honestly largely based on my feelings but gosh doesn't it all boil down to how Fadel expresses affection and how that just doesn't work for Bison. I think Bison has had a lot of growth in understanding Fadel, I think Style actually helped with that. In fact, the biggest reason I would argue that the foil relationship runs in the Fadel/Kant and Bison/Style vein is because the brother's relationship got better when they started their romantic relationships. Suddenly, Bison realizes that he needs to ask things of Fadel and Fadel realizes that Bison needs a little softness now and then.
Fadel threatens Style all the time this is how they flirt. The way he shows affection stays the same whether it's Bison or Style. But Style was able to take it, he's able to volley it. When Fadel threatens to kill him Style comes back with a "well, make sure I look hot." when Fadel threatens Bison, Bison kind of withers a little.
I mean I don't blame him he is such a 'no thoughts just baby' of a man if I've ever seen one
[2 screenshots of Bison. 1st where he tries acting cutesy with Fadel over his stab wound and 2nd where Fadel shoots him down with a "Want another stab wound?"]
Bison's personality is just so ill equipped to handle Fadel's brand of affection it's almost hilarious because like he does the same thing to Style right before they reconcile hahaha
[2 screenshots of Fadel telling Style "I can be worse" and "You want that?"]
BUT! He's learning!!! After his initial frustration he does smile in this fond and exasperated way.
I screamed when I saw him share this moment with Style:
[2 screenshots of Bison telling Style like he's sharing a secret, "He {Fadel} acts all tough and rough on the outside but on the inside he's just a softie.]
Oh??? oh you understand this about your brother now??? You've only had like over a decade to figure this out about him and yet in Ep.1 you told Kant that Fadel was tough inside and out!!!! Why are you telling Style this as though he isn't the reason you even know!!! I think this has always been Bison's fundamental issue with Fadel:
I think he's just never figured out that Fadel loves him and worries about him? Poor baby, I'll never get over him asking Fadel to be his brother like Kant is with Babe. Fadel is already that brother to you Bison, what are you talking about đđđ I think their relationship with Keen has revealed so much about Fadel and Bison [because god forbid they tell us anything directly about their past] but Keen has struggled to be seen by their family, for his efforts to be acknowledged by Mother and by Mother's favorite (Fadel).
Bison's competence has gotten him a certain measure of respect from Mother and Older Sister (Fadel) but he too has struggled to be seen by them, to be taken seriously by them. Keen and Bison are more similar in their position in the family than Bison and Fadel even though Keen can't see it. But Bison can, and I would argue that Bison has always felt it.
It's not surprising that Fadel and Bison's dynamic shifts because Bison is the one learning to talk to Fadel, with jibes and threats and guns if needed
[screenshot of Fadel saying to Bison "You're turning a gun on your own brother for him?]
@mirmoria was extremely spot on when they said that this moment was never about Kant, it was always about Fadel finally listening to him and giving Bison his right to choose Kant's fate back to him. Bison has finally figured out what to do about his lack of agency in this relationship! Bison says as much too:
[Screenshot of Bison responding to Fadel with a gun pointed at him, "But it's my life"]
Anyway, with all of this new found understanding between them at no point in the story have Bison and Fadel been more primed to fall in love than right now, yes right at the height of their respective romances on the beach. And these are the kinds of earth shattering conclusions you can always hope to find in the stuff I write.

Mouthwashing Little Things That Go Hard
Hello Mouthwashing fandom. I'm hyperfixated on this game. It has emotionally made me feel all sorts of things that I can't quite put into words. Sad. Lonely. Wanting to cry and throw up. You know, all that. I have spent quite a bit of time analyzing some shi in this game that stood out to me. See, someone like me loves the little things that hold big meaning in stories. Symbolism and Easter eggs go hard fr as well as attention to detail. And as we all know, this game does not at all disappoint in hiding things. Imma share some of my favorite sequences presented to us and kinda share my interpretations and discussions as well.
Note: not all of these may 100% be correct. These are based on my assumptions. I could be wrong (and maybe overthink lmfao that's valid too). My judgment can be criticized... as I'm not as bright as I want to believe I am
Spoilers!
Right off the bat, I'm gonna say: colors have a big meaning in this game. Each character has their respective colors that are linked to them. We are introduced to this at first with the character dialogs when they speak. And as we know, Curly is white, Jimmy is green, Anya is blue, Daisuke is pink, and Swansea is yellow. I do have theories on what the colors may symbolize with the characters themselves. However, I'll discuss my thoughts a little later on.
The Cake and Cocktail
There are two scenes in the game where we, as the players, are required to craft something in the kitchen. As Curly, we craft his birthday cake. As Jimmy, we craft the cocktail that is used to knock out Swansea. But something I noticed right away on my first playthrough of the game is the coloration of the ingredient packets.
For the cake, as shown, we use the water, gelatin, and sweetener packets. It can be seen that the packets share the same colors as Swansea, Anya, and Daisuke. And if you think about it, the roles of the ingredients kind of reflect off the roles of the crew. Water is important for everyone, which is in a blue packet. Anya is the nurse and an important member of the crew. The gelatin, which is in a yellow packet, is important for its purpose of keeping the cake together, hence Swansea being the ships mechanic and "keeping it together". And of course, the sweetener is in a pink packet, which can explain Daisukes positive attitude and "sweet" touch amongst the crew. But notice that the only packet not used is the green tonic. It is stated that the tonic has a bitter taste, and it's only used when making the cocktail. Kinda ironic as Curly is the one making the cake. I feel like personally, he has these three under control. These ingredients work together to make a cake.
With that in mind, when the time comes to make the cocktail in game, we're playing as Jimmy. The cocktail is used to knock out Swansea, who is guarding outside the utilities room.
At this point of the game, Anya has locked herself in the medical bay. As we have found out earlier on, Anya was assaulted by Jimmy and she's also pregnant. Jimmy has zero regards for Anya's well-being and constantly tries to cut her out of his mind, hence not wanting to acknowledge the problem he created. As shown, when making the cocktail, which requires the blue water packet, it's crossed out and replaced with mouthwash (which I'll discuss the importance of this later too) and the tonic is replaced with the isopropyl alcohol. While trying to forget one problem, Jimmy creates more.
I feel like I can get into more depth with the cake and cocktail... but I can't quite get my words out. I hope you can kind of see my thoughts behind this...
The Board Game
Now... bare with me. I don't remember the name of this game, nor do I really remember how to fully play it. I do remember that you technically win when all four of your pieces are home. We see this board game constantly. But I noticed that as the game progresses, the board game constantly changes. And notice, once again, colors... the four player colors are the same colors as Jimmy, Anya, Daisuke, and Swansea. I see the spots are white, which could reflect back to Curly... though I could be looking too deep into that. Perhaps that has something to do with how as all the events played out in the game, all Curly could do is sit back and watch as the "game" takes place.
This screenshot is the 7 days before the crash sequence. We're playing as Curly. And for a little while in the beginning, the pieces don't change much. We can see a few pieces are out on the board. Notice the blue and green pieces, which might be in reference to Jimmy's assault on Anya. It can be noted that Anya has only one piece in the "home" spot while the rest have more than one.
Hard to tell from this picture, but all of the blue pieces are knocked over. In this scene, this is where Anya locks herself in medical and poisons herself. The other player pieces have scattered across the board.
(Very shitty screenshot) but this is the board right before Daisuke's death. All the pink are knocked over. I think the knocked over pieces are a little foreshadowing of Daisuke's soon to be fate. I don't remember if this is before or after you talk to Swansea, but I do know there's a difference on the board between when Daisuke tells Jimmy medical is locked and when Daisuke goes into the vent.
Once again, shitty screenshot. But this is the board after Daisukes death. Both Swanseas and Jimmys pieces are all scattered across the board.
Here's the board after killing Swansea and when Jimmy cuts off Curlys leg. Every color, but green, is knocked over.
Now this is a little Easter egg I found in one of the dream sequences. I saw other people point this out too. I wanted to go into the game and locate it myself. We see this little Easter egg in one of the sequences after Daisuke's death. Unlike the other deaths, Daisuke's death is the only one that gets brought up more than once. It could be believed that unlike everyone else, Jimmy actually has guilt towards Daisuke's death. I tried to see if I could find anymore game pieces in the game. I couldn't. But this little Easter egg is neat to me.
The Hibiscus Flowers
I think we all know they go back to Daisuke. He wears a shirt that has pink hibiscus flowers on them. Doing research online, hibiscus flowers (especially pink), can represent love, friendship, and youth. Daisuke was a young, very friendly man. However, he was also naive and gullible and viewed everyone as a friend, which his naivety is what got him hurt and killed. And like a hibiscus, which don't bloom for very long, he died young and didn't "bloom" very long either. After Daisuke's death, we see multiple sequences with hibiscus flowers in them. Like stated on the board game, Jimmy constantly sees reflections back to Daisuke after his death, which can hint that Jimmy actually feels guilt for Daisuke's death. It's simple symbolism, but I always love flower symbolism, nonetheless.
The Dead Pixel
Ah yes. This one is very popular and well known, but that doesn't mean it's not still one of my favorite symbols in the game. In this scene, Curly and Anya are talking in the lounge in front of the night time screen. While talking, Anya points out that there's a dead pixel on the screen. Curly states he doesn't see it, only looking at the bigger picture and how it doesn't ruin the illusion. The scene, I believe, can represent how both of them view Jimmy. Anya was assaulted by Jimmy. Curly is Jimmy's friend. While Curly looks at the bigger picture and doesn't see the bad in Jimmy, that's all that Anya sees. She will only see the bad in Jimmy as she will always see the dead pixel. And as we know, Curly doesn't see it.
The Warning Signs
I've seen multiple different interpretations of this scene. All of them make sense if I'm quite honest. You play as Curly, who is on his way to the cockpit to give Jimmy his psych evaluation. However, you're presented down a long hallway and flight of stairs which eventually drops off into an ocean of red water. As you walk through the ocean aimlessly, warning signs, bent ladders, and eerie noises appear. In my eyes, I think this is both premonition as well as foreshadowing. The warning signs appear as you continue to walk through the ocean. You walk right past them, which I believe shows that Curly ignored the warning signs of something bad going to happen. I'd like to point out too that as this scene takes place, the player gets forced into looking in one direction after a while so you can't look at the signs. I believe the ladders that appear come from the discussion a little later on as they represent Curly in a way. They're busted ladders leading to nowhere. He's at the top with nowhere to go. This is a little personal talk between Curly and Jimmy in the cockpit. At the end of this dream sequence, you walk into a big ball of light (sun?). I think that could be subtle foreshadowing of Curlys fate of the crash. It all kind of mixes together as Curlys mistake to see the Jimmy issue is jumbled with his own personal issues. It all leads to his unfortunate situation of the after effect of the crash. Because right after the dream sequence, you're in the cockpit with Jimmy. Kinda funny too because right before this when he was with Anya getting his psych eval. I could definitely be wrong on this one... of course, my thoughts can be criticized.
Mouthwash
What's the name game after, of course. Mouthwash is the main object we see within this game. I'm not gonna lie, I was very stupid at first and had zero idea what the Mouthwash actually represented. Even now, my judgment may be a little off. In my honesty, I think it represents Jimmy. Realistically speaking, surviving off mouthwash alone isn't beneficial at all. Using just mouthwash won't actually help your dental hygiene. It may cover bad breath, but it won't clean your teeth. As shown in the game, the Dragons Breath Mouthwash doesn't actually have a lot of benefits to it as its sugar volume is very high. It has a 14% ethanol measurement. If anything, it'd cause more harm than good. This could be compared to Jimmy's power as captain as he does more harm than good. Jimmys has this constant need to fix everything, which inevitably gets everyone harmed and killed. And if you notice, for the ad on the mouthwash, the company states that they refuse to take any responsibility for damages done by their mouthwash. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? I think anyone can have a stance on what they believe the mouthwash represents in the game. Either way, such a simple item held such a valuable message. I'd like to see what everyone thinks on the 99% part. That I've seen multiple thoughts on the meanings for that.
I think the item of choice being mouthwash is clever. Reading on steam with a Q & A with the devs, mouthwash wasn't their first set and stone choice of an item. I think the choice of mouthwash is so neat because you will have no clue on its importance in the game without subtle context. But thinking about it, thinking of how we use mouthwash, and how its consumed in game, they couldn't have picked a better simple life item.
(Fun fact, each crate had 40 bottles of mouthwash. Jesus Christ did they drink a lot of mouthwash.)
Bed Placements
After the crash, everyone is stuck sleeping in the lounge. There are mattresses that each character uses. What I find interesting and rather sad is the placements of the beds. Jimmys is in the corner against the wall, Daisuke is right next to him, Anya is across from them and Swansea (which isn't visible in this pic) is somewhere else in the room. But what makes me sad is Anya's bed. Its right in front of the motion sensored Polle statue. When you walk over to her bed, it sets off Polle... and I noticed, her bed can be seen by all other beds. Justice for my girl please.
Employee Card Sequence
I believe this scene takes place after Swansea is killed. I think this scene is very neat. I could be wrong, but I believe this scene represents Jimmys guilt. Jimmy starts walking down a long passage with the five crew member employee cards on the walls. But looking closely at the cards, you notice something.
Jimmys employee card is constantly covering Anyas and Curlys.
Even later on, you see that Daisuke's and Swansea's cards are visible. Anyas and Curlys cards are there, they're just constantly covered. Kinda goes to show how much Jimmy is really trying to cut them out of his mind. But I also kind of theorize it could symbolize and compare both Anyas and Curlys abuse they share from Jimmy. Both of them are his biggest victims. Both physically (Anya being sexually abused, Curly being harmed and beaten when under Jimmys "care") and how both of them are constantly berated and talked down to by Jimmy. I really tend to hate how much everyone forgets that Curly is a victim too.
Employee Cards
This isn't necessarily a huge plot related thing, but it is a fun little Easter egg that I like. There are Steam achievements where you find all five employee cards. They're scattered throughout the game and around the ship. It's just a fun little Easter egg, but I couldn't help but notice the location of all five cards. Could there possibly be some irony behind their locations I wonder.
Anya: in the cockpit where the gun case is supposed to be.
Jimmy: by the Polle statue in the lounge.
Daisuke: by the board game in the lounge.
Swansea: in the coffee machine in the lounge.
Curly: in utilities by the cryostasis pod.
(took me the longest to find Anya)
The Main Theme
For being a simple little psychological horror game on Steam, the soundtrack is amazing. The main menu theme, which also plays at the end during the credits, is so good because I think it displays the game perfectly. It sounds so... sad and depressing. I think the song, when listening to it, conveys the feeling perfectly of feeling lost and hopeless in space. To make it even better (worse) you can hear faint sounds of baby gibberish and crying in the background. To think the whole purpose of what leads to the crash in the game is the pregnancy. I give the devs kudos in the music department.
Colors
Now this will 100% be a long shot and my upmost personal opinions. I don't think I've seen anyone discuss this (if you have, I am so sorry, I'm not trying to steal your thunder I swear). I feel like there is some meaning behind the choice of colors associated with the characters. I always think color symbolism is amazing (I'm a little special lmao) and like to dissect it in medias I enjoy. As I have shown a few times previously, there's a color for each character and its constantly brought up throughout the game. So here are my theories on the colors.
Curly: as I said Curly was associated with the color white. This one was very interesting to think of as white has some very diverse meanings. It can represent innocence, honesty, cleanness, hope. In some instance, white can make you feel safe and secure. All of these can make you think of the irony of the situation. But in my own personal opinion, it could mean the more negative meanings behind white. White is at the top of the color grid for any color. It also has no hue or saturation. It could be considered a very lonely color. Imagine a room that's got white walls, white floor, white ceiling. You'd feel trapped and empty in it. I think that's a perfect way to describe Curly's character. Lonely and empty. Not trying to get into full character analysis mode, but Curly is a very sad and lonely character. Before and after the crash, there is no real hope of where he's going next. When playing the dlc for How Fish Is Made, Curly kind of describes his predicament where at home and in space, he's lost. Life just goes by without him. He doesn't know where to go in life. I think white can show how empty and lonely of a character he is.
Jimmy: this is one I was lowkey able to think of right away. Jimmy is presented with green, and I couldn't have picked a better color for him. I love the color green. With that being said, I know quite a few of the meanings behind the color green. Like all colors, green has both positive and negative meanings. But the one meaning behind green that made me say "yep, Jimmy" was envy. Jimmy is envious. We saw that in the beginning with his thoughts on Curly's achievements as captain. Green is also bitter. Green could often times be associated with life and health... it can also be associated with poison and toxicity. Jimmy was supposed to be the "help" they needed but instead became the poison that harmed everyone. I thoroughly enjoy the choice of green.
Anya: now this one is very fitting, and quite frankly sad. Blue can be associated with innocence, trust, calmness. Blue is also a very negative color as it often times represents sadness, fragility, and depression. Anya was going through it on the ship. I wouldn't doubt all the emotions that she was feeling being in the situation that she was put through. A thing that I'd like to point out too is that the specific shade of blue with her is a light blue, which light blue sometimes can be referred to babies and the youth. This same shade of blue is also used later on when Jimmy was talking to Polle (there's theories about Polle representing Anya and the baby, I didn't wanna fit it here because that's a whole lot to discuss lol).
Daisuke: I think this one is also very on point too. Pink is such a bright and fun color. It's such a sweet color no matter the shade. And I think that goes for Daisuke too as he's such a sweet boy who is always so optimistic. Pink can mean kindness, love, positivity, and youth. Once again, pink also has negative meanings too. Pink can represent immaturity, naivety, and ill-confidence. As we know, Daisuke is a young man who isn't quite mature like his coworkers. He's kinda childish and his thoughts can be very unrealistic. He is also very naive as he easily was convinced to go into a dangerous environment by Jimmy. As I mentioned earlier on, the hibiscus flowers are also pink. This was such a good color choice for him.
Swansea: now... I will 100% be honest here, this is the one character where my color theory makes me really second guess myself. A lot of the meanings behind yellow don't really fit Swansea. Yellow can mean intellect and power. Swansea is an old mechanic, so he's had years of building his knowledge. Yellow is a primary color and doesn't have two other colors mix to make it. When I think of the color yellow, I think of happiness, brightness, enthusiasm. Swansea isn't at all a happy person. He was one of the first of the crew to be prepared to not survive. He accepted his fate. However, one yellow trait that makes me think of Swansea is deception and dishonesty. Swansea did lie, did he not? He lied about utilities and kept up with his lie until Jimmy found out. He lied that utilities, which had the cryostasis pods that were supposed to save them, was foamed. He kept up with this lie for his own purpose. I will definitely listen to more theories on this too if anyone has any. I am all for colors. I do want to believe there's more to the color yellow than what I am coming up with.
Not gonna lie, there are a few more things I could've added to this list. The post was getting very long so I did cut out some things. These are just some of the few things in Mouthwashing that stood out and caught my attention. By all means, share some of your favorite moments, symbols, easter eggs. I love the thought put into this game and I love the thought the fandom has put into decoding it.

This weekâs writer spotlight feature is:Â @midsummer-semantics! QueenOfSwords1312 has posted 51 fics to AO3 in the Stranger Things fandom and 50 of them are in the Steddie tag!
@tedewitt recommends the following works by @midsummer-semantics:
A Kind of Merry War
Free-Use Health Care
Dia de los Muertos
The Fool, The World, and Everything in Between
Don't threaten me with a good time
"Jordan is an incredible writer first and foremost. They have a passion for writing that you donât see every often. Their fics transport you into the world theyâve built and breathe new life into familiar characters." -- @tedewitt
Below the cut, @midsummer-semantics answered some questions about their writing process and some of their recommended work!
Why do you write Steddie?
Iâve somehow managed to make these guys my entire personality since they very very briefly interacted two years ago. Weirdly enough, I wasnât even a huge fan of Steve until s4 (blasphemy, I know), but the Steddie brainrot took hold immediately and I feel like theyâre genuinely such adaptable characters that putting them in a million different situations and seeing how theyâd interact is one of the best parts.
Whatâs your favorite trope to READ?
Getting together, hands down. I will read them getting together in the same way a million times and never get tired of it, but everyone writes such interesting ways that itâs always good every single time.
Whatâs your favorite trope to WRITE?
Didnât know they were dating. The small acts of domesticity that leads them to the realization theyâve basically been together without the kissing (and other things) all along it so fun and funny to me. Especially if itâs what leads to Steveâs sexual awakening.
Whatâs your favorite Steddie fic?
âCome what may (i will love you until my dying day)â by emurph_24. It changed my life in so many amazing ways and I credit that fic as the reason why I got into the fandom space itself and not just writing my little fics for funsies. Plus, the author is my wife now.
Is there a trope youâre excited to explore in a future work but havenât yet?
Eventually Iâd love to write a proper Getting Back Together fic, but I hate making them fight and break up so itâs going to take some mental and emotional gymnastics in order to do that first before the good thing happens.
What is your writing process like?
It varies. Either I start with a proper detailed outline, every major plot point I want to hit laid out with a checklist and I go through each part until Iâve hit them all. Or I have one single idea or inspirational quote/event/story I heard somewhere in mind and I just insert Steddie into it instead. The first one takes me weeks to get through. The second I usually end up writing 10k in a day. Either way, I talk through pretty much everything with Tara (TEDewitt) and Erin (emurph_24) before and during the writing, and theyâre the best hype-people and betas anyone could ask for.
Do you have any writing quirks?
I almost always start fics with the name of the person whose point of view will be used within the first sentence. âEddie Munson is a fool.â âTheyâve been dancing around each other for months and itâs driving Eddie up the wall.â âSteve knows he and Eddie are close.â Iâm not sure why I do that, but I think it just makes it easier on my brain to know right away whose brain Iâm using. I also hope it makes things clearer for people who read my stuff.
Do you prefer posting when youâve finished writing or on a schedule?
I tend to post when I finish writing (once Tara and Erin have had a chance to look through it), but Iâd never published an entire fic chapter by chapter once itâs entirely written. I usually post chapters as I finish them, which makes me pretty bad about irregular updates (Sorry!). But Iâve been part of a few events now that have posting schedules and those have been WORLDS better about keeping me on track for things.
Which fic are you most proud of?
Itâs a toss-up between âThe Fool, The World, and Everything in Between,â âFree-Use Healthcare,â and âA Kind of Merry War.â The first is my longest fic and what I feel is the first real deep-dive into the characters, and itâs my baby. The second just did really really well and Iâm still a little in shock by it. And the third was not only fun but everything I like to see in Shakespeare adaptations so it was a successful adaptation in my book.
How did you get the idea for Don't threaten me with a good time?
We all know the phrase âwrite what you knowâ and Iâve, frankly, lived a really weird life. So the story is literally just a Steddified version of a celebrity run-in I had on my birthday a few years back.
When writing The Fool, The World, and Everything in Between, what was something you didnât expect?
I didnât expect it to be as long as it is lol I mean, I knew it was going to be 22 chapters, but I didnât really know going in how long those chapters would be.
What inspired The Fool, The World, and Everything in Between?
The major arcana, and my desire to write a fix-it of volume 2. I just really think Eddie deserved to live and the major arcana do tell âthe foolâs storyâ so it was a great way to make that happen.
What was your favorite part to write from Dia de los Muertos?
The first kiss. Well, the entire thing was fun to write, but again, Iâm a sucker for those boys getting together, and Eddieâs little panic attack when he surprise-kisses Steve the first time because he just canât help it was so fun.
How do/did you feel writing Free-Use Health Care?
Like a horny goblin took over my brain and was controlling me Ratatouille-style until suddenly there was 10k words in less than 24 hours. It wasnât even supposed to be two parts, it was only going to be one with an open ending, but I literally couldnât stop thinking about a part 2 as I was writing part 1 so here we are.
What was the most difficult part of writing A Kind of Merry War?
Textual interpretation. Iâm really familiar with Much Ado About Nothing from years of working with it, but trying to make the actual lines from the play that are featured in the fic make sense in a way that is easily understandable to non-Shakespeare fans without derailing the pacing or taking people out of the story was an insane balancing act. I like to think I nailed it, though.
Do you have a favorite scene and/or line from any of your fics?
In âWhere lovers used to live (But theyâve been gone for quite some time)â, Steve finally gets to have the post-Eddie breakdown he deserves, but interwoven in that breakdown is repeated flooding of memories of how they got together before Eddie died. My favorite is when theyâre getting a small moment in the RV just the two of them and Eddie is reading the Silmarillion to Steve, and Steve makes Eddie promise that when they survive the battle, theyâll run away together. Broke my own heart writing it, but god it was good.
Do you have any upcoming projects or fics youâd like to share/promote?
I always have something up my sleeve, but the current and most exciting is the Eddie Munson Big Bang. Iâm working with helpimstuckposting on an omegaverse Practical Magic AU called âPressure in Increments,â coming very soon!
Outside of these questions, Is there anything YOU would like to add?
Iâve really met some of the coolest people in the world through this fandom and I think their friendship has really helped this not die for me even when thereâs times it gets overwhelming or I feel like Iâm losing momentum to write. I know that no matter what else is going on, I have the boys and my friends in my corner, and thatâs the best part of it all.
Thank you to our author, @midsummer-semantics and our nominator, @tedewitt! See more of QueenOfSwords1312's works featured on our page throughout the day!

Changing Plotlines âËđâ đĄâđ đđđđĄđđđđđđ đĄ'đ đđđđđŁđđ
yandere!ocs x f!reader
yandere, reverse harem, yandere reverse harem, original characters x fem!reader, slowburn, isekai
A desperate cry on your deathbed leads to you being given a fresh start at life. You're overjoyed at having finally obtained a healthy body and a real chance at living normally, only to discover that you've been transported into a yandere game, where danger lurks at every corner. Determined to protect your new life at any cost, you vow to stay as far away from the major characters of the game as possible. But things don't always go as planned.
previous | story masterlist | next
So far, youâd already met two of the yanderes. You werenât entirely sure how that had happened, especially when you were so resolved to stay away from them, but given how brief your interactions had been, you were fairly certain that they would have already forgotten about you. Everything was okay. Again, as long as you made sure not to needlessly interfere with the main plot, to them, you would be nothing more than a passerby. A side character. An extra.
I never realized how stressful it would be to deliberately not stand out.
You were especially on edge because youâd been recently informed that your classes were starting soon, which meant that it was only a matter of time before the protagonist made her appearance. It was all happening a lot faster than youâd expected. Youâd been hoping you would have a bigger buffer before all the shit started to go down.
But all of this was still manageable. Just avoid getting in the way of the yanderes as they sought the protagonistâs hand, and you were as good as gold.
âGoing to school for a change will be fun,â you hummed aloud, taking your time as you prepared a satchel full of belongings. Just the usual school supplies. Some notebooks, pencils, pens, a knife... really, nothing out of the ordinary.
It was obviously impossible to completely push the issue of the dangerous plot out of your mind, but it wasnât as if that was all this world had to offer. You were perfectly healthy now, something that you couldnât have imagined in your wildest dreams. There were so many things that you would finally be able to enjoy, like the average person. Instead of focusing on the negatives, you were going to try and look forward to the positives.
A knock on the door roused you from your reverie. You turned to find Lizbell cautiously peering into the room, while holding a cup of tea on a small plate.
âWould you care for a warm beverage?â she asked you.
âOh, yes please. Is this the same tea I had last time?â
âWhy, of course. Itâs your favorite, my lady.â
She smiled and walked over to hand the tea off. The âyouâ from this alternate game universe really was a carbon copy of who youâd been in your previous life. You had all the same interests, the same personality, even the same preferences when it came to food and drinks. It was strange how youâd been transmigrated so perfectly into a world where youâd never even existed to begin with.
You blew on the surface of the tea, then slowly took a sip.
I really am curious about how all of this even happened. Well, not that Iâm complaining. Itâs infinitely better than being dead.
Lizbell tilted her head, her gaze panning down to the satchel overturned on its side, with some of the objects peeking out of it. âWhat have you got there, my lady?â
âHm? Ah, nothing much. Just some things to bring along with me to the academy.â
âThe bag looks to be quite full,â she frowned. âYouâll strain your shoulders if youâre carrying something so heavy all day. Are you sure you need all of this?â
âLizbell, waitââ
Before you could stop her, sheâd already lifted the satchel up, and several of the items came tumbling out.
Lizbellâs expression turned to one of pure horror. âLady [Name], what in Zodinâs name are you doing with a knife?â
âI can explain,â you began.
âNo, Iâm not sure you can!â she fumed. âBringing a weapon to school? Absolutely preposterous! Not to mention that you could hurt yourself!â
âItâs, er, just in case of an emergency...?â
She grabbed the knife in a hurry. âIâm confiscating this.â
âWhat, no! You canât!â
âI can, and I will.â She paused to raise her brow a hair. âUnless youâd prefer that I speak about this matter with your parents?â
You slumped your shoulders, defeated. âUgh. Fine, take it away.â
I can just sneak another one tomorrow morning.
âAnd Iâll be patting you down tomorrow morning so that you donât get any funny ideas,â she warned.
Goddammit.
âMy word,â Lizbell huffed, angrily storming out the room, âyouâre going to be death of me one of these days.â
You sipped at the rest of your tea, a touch irritated. Granted, bringing a knife to school probably wasnât the best idea, but you just felt better knowing that you had some sort of weapon to protect yourself with. But the plot hadnât even begun yet, and the yanderes didnât begin exhibiting dangerous tendencies right off the bat, so perhaps you were jumping the gun a bit. First days at school tended to be rather boring anyways. This wasnât a movie, or some sort of novel.
Yeah, youâd be just fine.
This is actually really exciting. Iâm fangirling a bit.
It was one thing to be able to attend school normally without being crippled by your healthâwhich you were immensely grateful forâbut it was even more incredible to be able to take part in a universe that youâd once believed to be purely fictional. Youâd gone from being nothing more than a player who could make a few limited choices on behalf of the protagonist, to actively participating and having complete control over your actions.
You had to admit, this situation was pretty freaking cool.
Currently, you were standing at the gates of Zoditeâs finest institution, the renowned Central Academy. And boy, oh boy, was it intimidating. The colleges and universities from your previous world were arguably bigger, some of the campuses even being referred to as âtiny citiesâ. But what Central Academy lacked in sheer size, it more than made up for in extravagance. Seriously, you knew that you were technically rich in this world, but everything here looked so ridiculously bourgeoisie that you couldnât help but feel out of place.
âIâm not used to being one of the elites,â you whined hopelessly. A random student passed by while you were talking to yourself, and they gave you a scathing, judgmental look. A bit rude, but you were admittedly acting a little weird right now, oohing and awing at everything you saw.
Anyways, you were here now, but you didnât have a clue where your classes were, or how you were meant to find your way around campus. Lizbell had provided you with a list of the classes that the previous âyouâ of this world had apparently enrolled in, so you were just going to have to use your best judgment in finding the buildings, and then perhaps go by process of elimination. Youâd never attended college before, but in the movies, everyone always got lost on their first day. Which is exactly why youâd arrived with ample time to spare.
Feeling optimistic, you walked past the front gates and officially made your way onto academy grounds. It was nowhere near as busy as what youâd expect from a modern-day college campus, but things were lively enough in their own way. Central Academy was an academy restricted specifically to the upper class, which meant that everywhere you looked, nobles of some reputable pedigree were walking about. Some were alone, others still were with friends or colleagues. You sort of wished you had a friend of your own to walk with. Close friendships were another thing youâd lacked back in your previous life. It sucked, but most people werenât selfless enough to be tied down to someone who was sickly and frail, who couldnât participate in most activities, especially in the so-called âgolden yearsâ of a young adult.
Maybe I can finally make a really good friend here.
You were hopeful. Unordinary circumstances aside, this was the sort of life you could only ever dream of having before. It was best to enjoy every moment.
Although you were still unsure as to where your classes were located, you couldnât quite seem to wipe the grin plastered across your face. Today was going to be great. You were going to make it great. There was absolutely nothing that could stop you from finally enjoying the campus experience youâd always wished for.
Until you saw her. The protagonist of Zodinâs Benevolence, Flora Tillberry.
âFuck!â you cursed aloud, immediately ducking behind a bush. You werenât entirely sure why you were hiding, especially since she had no real reason to walk over and talk to you. It was probably your fight-or-flight mode kicking in. You instinctively knew that wherever Flora was, danger followed.
You felt a bit bad for having such a visceral reaction to Flora. After all, it wasnât as if she was to blame for any of this, and she was so sweet and innocent-lookingâcute as a button, really. If not for the unfortunate fate that awaited her, she was undoubtedly someone you wouldâve liked to befriend.
But you had no choice. Avoiding her was the best way to guarantee your safety. You had to completely cast aside any potential guilt you had surrounding her unfortunate circumstances and focus purely on yourself.
If sheâs here, then that means the plot has officially been set in motion.
It was okay. Youâd been prepared for this from the very start. No matter what, the story would unfold just like it always did, and you would be none the wiser to it.
You held your position for a while, waiting to make sure that she left. You didnât want to allow any accidents to occur, whether it meant her accidentally stumbling into you or even stopping to ask you for directions. As far as she was concerned, you didnât exist.
âWhat on earth are you doing?â
A familiar voice. Why was that voice so familiar?
You turned, dread gradually washing over you. No fucking way. Was this seriously happening for a third time already?!
No matter how much you wanted to believe you were dreaming, there was no mistaking that it was him, Cassius. Staring down at you with heavy judgment as you hid like an idiot, with your butt sticking up in the air.
You gritted your teeth. This was seriously impossible. You were starting to believe that maybe your choices werenât your own after all, and someone was getting a kick out of toying with your emotions.
Well, just perfect. Youâd managed to avoid one of the key characters of the game and ended up running right into a different one. Actually, come to think of it, Cassius was the first yandere that Flora ever met, and their meeting took place right here, on the first day of classes. Had you unwittingly distracted him with your stupidity and prevented their crucial interaction from taking place?
If so, then... fuck.
Why am I the way that I am?
You didnât have time to berate yourself for too long, since he was staring pointedly at you and clearly waiting for some sort of answer.
âI, uh, rolled my ankle,â you said quickly, then proceeded to grip at the ankle in question. âO-Ouch! That really hurts! Anyways, yeah... I kind of just needed to stop and take a break. Itâs probably going to feel better soon though, so I should get going.â
You stood up and did a rather pathetic job of pretending to limp. Cassius didnât look like he was buying it.
He rolled his eyes at you. âDo you take me for a fool? It seemed like you were spying on someone, what with that suspicious expression on your face. Whoever it is youâre looking out for, Iâd just like to let you know that youâre doing a terrible job of it. I wouldnât be surprised if youâd already been discovered.â
âThank you very much for your input,â you gritted out insincerely. âBut please, donât let me take up too much of your time. I know youâre a very busy man.â
Now, you were definitely ready to get out of here. It was okay. The situation was still salvageable. Granted, heâd caught you in a bit of an awkward position and youâd impeded his first interaction with Flora, but you were sure the plot would find some way to set itself back on track. This was really no big deal. He clearly thought you were a bit strange, but heâd walk away soon enough and think no more of it.
Except Cassius didnât walk away. Instead, he continued to stare at you, with eyes widening as though something had just dawned on him. âWait a second... I remember you now. Youâre that same rude woman who ran into me in town that day. For crying out loud,â he sighed, shaking his head disappointedly. âYour parents must have done a terrible job of raising you, seeing as you have no manners.â
I beg your fucking pardon?
This struck a nerve with you, because even in your previous world, your parents had only ever been lovely, supportive people. Theyâd gone through hell because of the weak constitution youâd been cursed with, but not once had they ever taken out their frustrations on you or tried to make you feel guilty about it in any way.
You were so riled up, in fact, that without thinking it through, you snapped at him.
âDonât speak ill of my parents,â you glared. âYou have no idea how much theyâve endured.â
It only took a moment for pure, unfiltered shock to color Cassiusâ expression. You blanched in turn, realizing that youâd provoked someone who was not only obsessive, but had the potential to be incredibly dangerous.
Cassius was quiet for a few moments, and when he spoke next, his cold yellow eyes were concerningly narrowed. âIf I recall, you are from the [Last Name] household, correct?â
âUh, nope,â you hastily denied. âIâve never heard of them before.â
âWhat is your name?â
Play dumb. Câmon, play dumb!
âI, uh, donât have a name.â
Not that dumb, holy fuck!
âAbsolutely ridiculous,â Cassius scoffed with a roll of his eyes. âYour behavior is the very height of stupidity. No matter. Iâll find out for myself exactly who you are. The nerve you have, to talk back to me...â
He made sure to glare at you one last time for good measure, then walked away.
The second he was gone, you collapsed to your knees and began pulling at your hair.
âWhy, why, why?!â you cried out. âWhy me?â
Yeah, things were not good. Things were really not good. Bumping into him before was just a minor offense. He didnât even know who you were at the time. But now he was going to be actively seeking you out with a vengeance. If only youâd kept your goddamn mouth shut. Curse you and your fondness towards your family! It was moments like these that you wished you had the sort of parents you were okay with being shit-talked.
âItâs okay,â you tried to reassure yourself, breathing shallowly. âHeâs a bit pissed off, but even he wouldnât kill someone just for talking back to him. Right? Right?â
Even if you were blowing things wildly out of proportion, you just couldnât help it. Youâd played the game. Youâd seen firsthand what these maniacs were capable of.
As if the situation wasnât shitty enough, you could also hear that same voice in your head, and they were flat-out laughing at you.
Forget what you said about first days earlier. They didnât just suck in the movies. They sucked always.
The truth was that the rest of the day had been rather uneventful. Even following your terrible run-in with Cassius, youâd still had plenty of time to make your way around campus and find where your classes were. You actually considered calling it a day and going home to cry in bed like a baby, but you ultimately decided against it. Giving up so soon would mean setting a terrible tone for the rest of your lifetime here.
The classes themselves were perfectly fine. The content wasnât too difficult to follow along with, especially since this was a less advanced time setting than the one you were used to, and you already had knowledge of far more sophisticated concepts, such as future scientific discoveries. Even though it was the world of a game, it still appeared to obey roughly the same laws of physics, chemistry, and biology.
The biggest difference was unarguably the presence of magic and magical ores, that helped to channel power into many different facilities. The topic of their discovery and usage was covered quite extensively in your history class. Here, you really didnât have any previously existing knowledge, but your memory was good enough that you werenât too worried about getting by.
All in, your scholarly aptitude wasnât that big of a concern right now. You were frankly much more worried about having essentially become Cassiusâ nemesis (although that was perhaps giving yourself too much credit).
âWelcome back, my lady,â Lizbell beamed. She was right there to greet you in the foyer when you made it back home. âHow did your first day of school go?â
âTerrible,â you groaned, dragging your satchel behind you. âJust awful.â
âOh, good heavens,â she frowned. âIt couldnât have been that bad. Youâve always been a quick learner. Thatâs the whole reason you wanted to attend the academy in the first place. Were the classes awfully difficult?â
âThe classes were fine, but the people sure werenât.â
âWhat do you mean by that?â She gasped, covering a palm over her mouth. âDonât tell me someone was bullying you!â
âNot so much bullying, but there was a bit of a disagreement.â You pursed your lips, peering over at her cautiously. âHey, Lizbell. Is Cassius Crowe really such a horrible person? Do you think heâll put out a hit on me just because I argued with him a little?â
Lizbellâs eyes nearly bulged out of her head. âYou got into a disagreement with Lord Cassius?!â
âUgh. Please, your reaction isnât helping.â
âAhem,â she coughed, quickly regaining her composure. âMy apologies. And, erm... well, he certainly isnât very well-liked, but what do you mean by âput out a hitâ on you? Iâm not familiar with the term.â
âWhat I mean is, will he chase me to the ends of the planet to ensure that I pay for my crimes? Will he capture me and string me up in town to be made an example out of?â
âLady [Name], sometimes I really do worry about what goes inside your head.â
âThatâs not an answer!â you whined.
âIt should be just fine,â she reassured. âHe might hold a bit of a grudge, but Iâve never heard of him doing something so drastic purely because someone displeased him. His infamous reputation may be somewhat exaggerated. He actively contributes to the academyâs research, and Iâm sure he wouldnât want to tarnish his image.â
âLetâs hope thatâs the case,â you muttered.
Lizbell tried to bite back a smile. âWell, Iâm sorry that you had somewhat of an unpleasant interaction, but might I just add that you really are something to behold. Not a day goes by that you donât find yourself wrapped up in something interesting. Serving you will never get boring, that I can say with absolute confidence.â
You rolled your eyes. At least one of you was having fun.
âDonât worry, my lady,â Lizbell said cheerfully. âIâm sure the situation sounds much worse in your head than it really is. Lord Cassius is too busy to chase after petty altercations. Quite frankly, this situation is beneath him.â
Canât tell if that was supposed to be a diss on me or not.
âWeâll see, I guess,â you replied, still rather unconvinced.
âOh, I know! How about I bring you some pastries to snack on? The sugar will help lift your spirits right away.â
Never one to turn down food, you nodded absently, and Lizbell bowed before leaving the room.
Mentally exhausted from the dayâs ordeal, you collapsed backwards onto your bed, letting out a resounding huff. Lizbell was right, in a certain sense. There was no point in beating yourself up over it, especially when it was already in the past. You were learning to use a sword, and besides, soon enough, Cassius would have his hands full trying to win over Flora. You were the least of his concerns, really.
âHow did the order go, again?â you mumbled aloud.
Cassius was the first yandere Flora met in the game. She ran into him at the academy, which was apparently meant to have happened today, and then proceeded to ask him for directions since it was her first day on campus. Naturally, Cassius was every bit as rude to her as heâd been to you. He was dismissive and haughty, both qualities that gradually softened up as he began to develop romantic feelings. Since youâd accidentally gotten in the way of their first encounter, you really had no way of knowing when or how they would actually meet. Oh, well.
Next was Lawrence. In the game, Flora met him while attending a gathering of nobles, after receiving an invitation from the villainess, who sought to humiliate her publicly. The villainess regularly bullied Flora at school, and even made her burst into tears during the party. It was afterwards that Flora would run into Lawrence, who being the superficial goody-two-shoes he was, would pretend to console her even though he could really care less.
The third yandere Flora met was Triston, son of a foreign powerhouse family, who came to stay in Zodite Kingdom as part of an ongoing business deal. A public function was held, mandating the attendance of the noble families, whereupon Triston would give a speech. Flora ran into him there, and they had a brief interaction during which they introduced themselves.
Lastly, and also by far your least favorite of all the yanderes, was Friedrich. Floraâs meeting with him was... honestly, you didnât even want to think about it too much right now.
Anyways. You knew exactly how Flora was supposed to meet the rest of the main characters, so there was no way you were going to mess things up any further. You needed for the plot to move along smoothly, in order to make everything easier to predict. You knew that you were an anomaly, and your very presence in this world was affecting things, but your safest bet was really to let all of the love interests have their time with Flora, making sure to give them plenty of space to do so.
âHaha. You look rather troubled. Watching your interaction with that man earlier was quite amusing. It sure seems like you managed to get under his skin.â
That stupid voice again. It was another issue that was grating at you, but you were completely powerless to do anything about it.
âStop it,â you snapped. âCut it out. Quit spying on me.â
âWhy would I? Iâm having such a fun time.â
âYou said I would find out who you are,â you said exasperatedly. âWell? Iâm still waiting. And to be frank, I could use some good news right now.â
Just like last time, there was an unnecessarily long pause before the voice spoke again.
âHm, no. Itâs still too soon. Iâm going to wait a bit longer before I answer your questions. Iâm curious to see what other fun stuff youâll get caught up in.â
You rolled your eyes. âTypical.â
Seriously, nothing was going your way today. Hopefully tomorrow would be better, but you had a nagging suspicion that wasn't going to be the case.Â

Nusrat Naomi / toorumlk / rnbseokjin / rnbafthours is a bully and a TERF
If you're going to be so blatantly nasty in public, then have a taste of that same energy.
I blocked this person on twitter previously because of an ao3 memo pad controversy where she made fun of another artist's merchandise and elicited a hate mob towards their small business. She only took the post down after pushback from her audience calling her out. She issued a long non-apology where she took no responsibility and doubled down that she had the right to make fun of and critique this artist.
I recently came across her on my tiktok FYP soliciting commissions and felt compelled to give unsuspecting folks the option to be well-informed before deciding to support this artist.
đșHer TERF Friends
Nusrat proudly proclaims to be an LGBT ally since she was a literal child. She even had Transphobes DNI in her bio. So why is it that her best friends are self-proclaimed RadFem TERFS? Nusrat's best friends come up a lot in her online activity, they are: Ro and Isa.
Despite claiming to be liberals they use alt-right tactics to engage and make fun of LGBT users. Many of these attacks are unprompted and unsolicited, they spend their days looking for accounts to belittle. Nusrat never berates them and goes along with it. She likes their posts ridiculing people with pronouns in their bio, denying trans people are real on the basis of chromosomes, calling other women stupid for not thinking exactly as they do.
đșDramione Hate
Nusrat likes Romione and as a result uses most of her free time to make fun of Dramione shippers. She even goes as far as to wish them physical harm and death. Mind you, this is all over fictional characters!
Nusrat believes she's above it all when it comes to her rights to freedom of speech. Despite Nusrat hating when people repost her art, she feels entitled to make fun of Dramione fanart on her public account(art blurred for the artist's privacy).
Nusrat claims she gets a pass to say whatever she wants though. These fanworks and fanfic are popular, which means they don't have the same rights or feelings she has. When more Dramione fans pushed back against this she and her friends accuse them of being jealous, rape apologists, and nonces.
đș16yo Drarry Fan Artist Incident
Nusrat doesn't hate just Dramione shippers, she hates Drarry shippers too! Imagine being a teenager drawing silly fanart of your favorite character but 3 RadFem adults roll up to belittle and call you r*tarded. Nusrat joins in on the fun with her best friends and entertains the idea of drawing pregnant Ron to get back at the Stupid Shippers.
Nusrat is a champion for women and hates people stereotyping them. That's why she likes Harry and Ginny. She admits herself they aren't a good fit, but Ginny can a provide a family for Harry. Reducing a female character down to a vehicle for a male character's happiness - because that's so much better.
đșLGBT Allyship
She really dislikes it when you call her out on her hypocrisies. She can't be a TERF or a transphobe! She goes to ART SCHOOL and has TRANS FRIENDS! It's lichrally impossible you guys! Sheâs more upset about someone stating TERFs arenât women than when her friends belittle and make fun of trans people.
Many people have pointed out to Nusrat that she can't claim to be an LGBT ally while befriending TERFS. She has since removed the "transphobes dni" from her bio and publiclly unfollowed those friends.
But that's all performative, she still interacts with them daily: publicly and in private accounts. They even swap their reading progress on goodreads!
It's one thing to have friends with different beliefs, it's an entirely different thing for you to laugh along with your friends when they're harassing people. By remaining silent and allowing her friends to continue as they are, she is complicit.
Am I calling for people to cancel her? Absolutely not.
TL;DR
Naomi Nusrat is a TERF. Nusrat exhibits a pattern of deceitful behavior that reveals sheâs more willing to hide her TERF affiliations to the public in order to remain in LGBT spaces. She wants to have her cake and eat it too. She can continue having her beliefs, just as I believe people have the right to be informed before they decide to support her work.

What do you think of shouto's arc? As a person who uh. used to be pretty similar to his "earlyroki" incarnation for lots of similar reasons I find it really reassuring that he gets to be a happy person who is generally content(somewhat negated by the treatment of Endeavor in the story admittedly lol)
Hey, anon; I'm touched that you'd come to me, a dedicated endgame hater with a question like this. I appreciate the interest and/or faith! This reply is going to talk a lot about the family in general and the broader themes of the story, as well as Endeavor and Dabi and their own arcs, but I've tried to keep tethering it back to Shouto throughout and at the end.
Shouto isnât a character I devote a ton of thought toâIâm so-so on most of the Heroes at the best of times, and Dabi is an easy pick for my least favorite of the core League. For a long while, Endeavor actually was my favorite of the Todorokis because I found him the most interestingâthat went out the window in the last war, alas, as it became clear that the narrative had no intention of meaningfully grappling with his repeated failures to work with and prioritize his family despite his repeated promises to do so.
As to Shouto, though, I suppose I have three major thoughts: that he does okay for himself, that he got a bit shafted all the same by the decision not to kill Endeavor, and that I wish I felt more confident that his arc had any impact at all on his opinions about the Hero System.
(Hit the jump.)
Taking the last of those first, as itâs the point that involves Shouto himself the least, the systemic problems of the setting were always my primary interest with regard to the conflict between Heroes and Villains. Because I was invested in relatively few of the Heroes, and also because the story was pretty assiduous about not letting the League kill off any characters the reader could reasonably be expected to give a shit about anyway, I never bought into stuff like Deku getting righteously fired up about the people Shigaraki had hurt. For the most part, I cared about the Hero/Villain interpersonal dynamics only insomuch as they served as a path for the Heroes to recognize the scope of the real issues they needed to be addressing, and the Villains asâwhile dangerousâultimately victims of those issues.
Unfortunately for me, the Todoroki plotline is ultimately treated by the overarching narrative as being, by and large, self-contained, unconnected and unreflective of the broader society in which it plays out. Thus, while Uraraka connects Togaâs tragedy to the lack of acceptance of her quirk and devotes herself to finding some way to correct for that problem going forward, Shouto and Enji donât make that same connection between Dabiâs tragedy and the problems in Hero Society that led to it. Touya is, to be sure, primarily a victim of Enjiâs choices, with Dabi being the ultimate result, but while no one forced Enji to make the choices he made, they were not made in a vacuum.
By my count, there are three ways in which the structure of Hero Society failed Todoroki Touya and his siblings, only one of which impacted them directly. Firstly, Hero Society demonstrates a studied lack of concern for the mental health of orphaned children, which meant that young Enji was never going to get appropriate amounts of grief counselling, meaning there was nothing to inhibit his spiraling obsession with strength.[1] Secondly, that obsession was given a perfect frame to build on in the form of the Hero ranking system. And thirdly, we have no evidence that the Todoroki family was so much as mildly probed by law enforcement or regulatory bureaus about the string of accidents and tragedies facing it.[2]
1: From the Shimura Kotarou of forty goddamn years ago to the Izumi Kouta of the present, there is zero reason to believe that Enji would ever have gotten professional psychological help following his fatherâs death.
2: One might also add a fourth consideration, that being the whole-ass Himura situation that led to Rei feeling her abusive marriage was as inescapable as it was. Perhaps if she felt less trapped by her familyâs needâitself entirely a result of quirk-based bigotry, remember, so thatâs a fifth societal consideration!âthen maybe she would have been more willing to try taking the kids and leaving, or seeking help from authorities. My focus here, however, is more on things that could have directly circumvented Endeavor's abuse, so Iâll leave the other factors here.
But BNHA doesnât probe any of this, either, nor does Shouto. The only people other than Endeavor who are remitted any scraps of responsibility about Dabiâs entire existence are All For One (for saving Touyaâs life!) and Rei, Fuyumi and Natsuo, collectively given a few moments in which they regret not doing more. Otherwise, Endeavor is allowed whole and unadulterated blame for the situation. Itâs not something Shouto blames on any outside parties or circumstances, and so, once itâs resolved, he makes no efforts to try to address any of the very obvious contributing factors.
While itâs very much to Shouto's credit that he put so much proactive effort and thought into stopping âhisâ Villain without causing further harmâby far the most forethought of any of the students with Villain foils!âIâm not as positive about how he just lets everyone but his rotten father off the hook. Itâs a problem I think is less about Shouto as a person and more about the meta-narrativeâs sudden third-act unwillingness to engage in systemic critique, but a problem it remains, given that itâs the systemic critique that I really wanted.
Moving on, I also think Shoutoâs arc is severely hindered by Horikoshi changing his mind about not killing off Endeavor. Iâm not one of those people who thought Endeavor had to die to make up for his crimes, or who desperately wanted him dead because heâs an abuser and All Abusers Should Die, Actually. Solely looking at it from the perspective of Endeavorâs arc, I think he should have lived! Itâs much more interesting for him to live and have to grapple with the consequences of his actions!
âŠBut that would require that he actually have to grapple with said consequences. Which he doesnât. And if he was not going to, and the story was not going to address him not going to, then yeah, absolutely, he should have died. Whatâs the point of him surviving if heâs going to face no story-impacting consequences? Feeling sad and bad about it, and getting yelled at once or twice by nameless bit characters, do not count as story-impacting consequences, Iâm afraid.
More to the point, though, thatâs Endeavorâs arc. Endeavorâs arc, however, badly needed to take a backseat to Shoutoâs arc, and probably Dabiâs, too! While I think Endeavor could have survived without his arc torpedoing the arcs of his sons, thatâs definitely not the story we got. And I think this is in large part because Horikoshi didnât change the story enough to account for Endeavorâs survival.
The echoes of that original story are all over the third act. Consider:
Endeavor does nothing of consequence in the Edgy Deku arc. His press conference doesnât prevent societal breakdown; he limply defers to Deku in ways that let him remain active while ensuring those actions have no impact on the plot; he makes no major contributions to Hawks and Jeanistâs talks about the Villains; heâs not involved with the plans for the second war; and finally, we learn nothing from the hospital flashbacks that we couldnât have gotten from any of the other family members, instead. âââââ
We get early hints about too many quirks causing mental breakdowns, and this foreshadowing is fulfilled in Spinnerâs corroded perceptions at the hospitalâbut miraculously, Lady Nagant has no problem at all with having an extra quirk. Sure, sheâs only got the one extra, and maybe it doesnât happen every time, butâŠÂ Isnât it a little odd that she comes out of nowhere, with very minimal foreshadowing, an elaborate HPSC backstory that Hawks shares, and the combination of quirks sheâs packing is one that precisely replicates Hawksâs âlong-distance flying attackerâ shtick? Itâs pitifully easy to imagine a scenario in which Endeavorâs death in the first war leads to Hawks going rogue. Also, while I donât know exactly what circumstances would lead to him and Deku fighting, I do think Dekuâs platitudinous speech about light and dark and reaching out to people feels far more tailored to a Hawks who only just went rogue than it does a woman betrayed by her own bosses who hates shallow platitudes, especially coming right on the heels of Deku rescuing Overhaul in a way that strongly echoes Hawksâs reflexive rescue of Twice but carries no inherent meaning for Lady Nagant.[3] âââââ 3: See here for the whole rant about this, but the short version is that itâs goddamn absurd that Lady Nagant hates platitudes and shoots at Overhaul on the assumption that Deku will have to save him, only for her heart to be changed by Dekuâs platitudes and saving of Overhaul. âââââ
Speaking of Hawks, the whole matter of Twiceâs death goes less than nowhere, which makes one wonder what was the point of including it as an ethical dilemma at all? The public didnât care, Hawks faced no consequences for it, and he was never forced to change his stance or grapple with his decision in any way, to the point that when heâs faced with the same situation later, he makes the exact same judgement, and this is something the narrative doesnât even seem to notice, much less address. Togaâs very personal feelings of hatred for Hawks get relegated to a single shallow knife slash from a clone that doesnât even manage to leave a goddamn scar. And all this lack of consequence leaves Hawks free to be reduced to nothing but an Endeavor Supporter in the final arc, possibly because whatever his arc could have been was incompatible with Endeavorâs survival, leaving Hawks with no final arc of his own but also no established place in anyone elseâs. âââââ
Endeavorâs dream about the family eating dinner around the table but him not being there, on top of Shoutoâs stated intention to eat soba with his brotherâseems like foreshadowing for an ending in which the family eats dinner around a table, doesnât it! But because Endeavor lives, Natsuo cuts contact in a way heâd have had no reason to do if Endeavor had died, and so there can be no family dinner, and Shoutoâs soba thing has to be relegated to a frankly pretty thin line of dialogue about mutual favorite foods rather than an actual shared meal. âââââ
The whole thing about buying/building a new house for Rei and the kids to live in so they can be away from the bad memories in Endeavorâs house. Does that happen? It kinda seems like that doesnât happen, given that Rei seems perfectly happy to be pushing Enji around in a wheelchair at the end! âââââ
The strange replay tape finale version of Shoto beating Dabi, where he does the exact same move twice, just once alone and once in the presence of family. Almost like Horikoshi only came up with the one idea? âââââ
The fact that the family promises to deal with Touya together but then Endeavor not only spends a chunk of time running from Dabi when he does arrive, but even when he does finally try to talk, he canât because Dabiâs brain is so overboiled that heâs incapable of rational conversationâeven though he was having rational conversation with Shouto some five minutes prior! And then itâs Shouto and the familyâs ice that actually save Dabi from those consuming flames, with Endeavor contributing nothing to that finaleâhuh, almost like the family saving Touya wasnât written to include Enji to begin with! âââââ
The Geten as a Himura reveal feels super vestigial. I like it, mind you! I like it a lot! And I donât know exactly how it would have factored into a version of the endgame in which Endeavor died, save that the Dabi-Geten combo really feels like The Final Boss Scenario That Wasnât for Shoutoâone guy with fire hotter than his who hates their father and Shouto personally, and one guy who can take control of any ice around him and stop it from melting and who hates the other side of Shoutoâs family![4] But instead Geten just winds up in prison and the Himura reveal does nothing but handwave Dabi having latent ice powers, which didnât need a Himura reveal to justify it since we already knew Dabi had a physical compatibility with ice! And even, via Shouto himself, that the mixing of ice and fire could produce a quirk with elements of both! Geten being a Himura simply feels like a relic of a story in which Geten had more of a role to play, and while that may be my bias because I feel like the entire MLA was set up for a bigger role than they wound up having, itâs still easy to wonder if part of the whole, âWeâll deal with Touya as a family,â promise would have involved facing the other side of the familyâs damage as well. 4: While also espousing a writ large version of Endeavorâs own Strength Is All That Matters mentality and still being a victim of eugenicist machinations masterminded by Shoutoâs relatives! Truly it is a mystery to me how Geten could just get defeated by Cementoss when heâs such a perfect distillation of so many of the issues swirling in and behind Shoutoâs family situation. He even connects to a potential systemic critique in his ties to the MLA, who are practically nothing but systemic critiques of Hero Society.
And so on and so forth.
Shouto is a major character: by far one of the most prominent student characters, Dekuâs first real victory in terms of changing someoneâs heart, a foil for one of the central Villains, and with a profound insight into the kinds of damage the current system encourages and then willfully ignores. He desperately needed an arc that centered him and his perspective. But that arc also has to contend with Dabi, and Dabi as-written simply cannot convincingly prioritize Shouto when Endeavor is still alive.
There are certainly signs that Dabi did care for his other family members at one point in time, most prominently that he thinks remorsefully about how he acted towards them when he wakes up after Sekoto Peak, and emphasizes that he has to apologize to them. But when the story so prioritizes Dabiâs obsession with Endeavor, to the point that heâs gleefully endangering the rest of the familyâs lives and peace by sending dangerous Villains to their door, airing videos outing Endeavor as a domestic abuser, and talking about Shouto like he wants to leave him disemboweled on the Endeavor Agencyâs front stoop, then that obsession has to be dealt with in some way before Iâm remotely capable of believing that anyone other than Endeavor can get through to him.
So, Endeavor could have died, which would have neatly deprived Dabi of that driving focus that kept him goingâwhat does he do without it? Thatâs a question Shouto could have given him an answer for.
Endeavor could have fallen into a coma, leaving genre savvy readers confident heâd eventually pull through but the characters themselves in a state of muddled emotions about when or if heâd ever regain consciousnessâthatâs a half-measure, but I like it better than the half-measure we got.[5]
5: And heck, maybe we could have gotten Dabi trying to invade Central Hospital alongside Spinner and the heteromorph army, since that plot included a number of small nods to the Todoroki plot anyway via Spinner reflecting on Dabiâs unstoppable will and Shouji on Shoutoâs strength of character. Also, you know, more chances to poke at Dabi and Shoutoâs tendency towards calling heteromorphs derisive animal names. Probably not a scenario that does the heteromorph mob scene any favors, Iâll grant, but it would be hard to make it worse.
Heck, I could even see a version of the story where the narrative was simply more cynical about Endeavorâs ability to prioritize his professed atonement. All his actions in the story as we have it show him continuing to prioritize his Hero duties despite his repeated claims that he intends to prioritize his family. If the story actually recognized that contradiction, it could build Dabi up to a point of screaming frustration that I could, hypothetically, see Shouto breaking through. Endeavor could still be trying, still be sincere, but if his ego or a rational decision to prioritize the lives of strangers over those of his family mean he cannot ever be counted upon to truly put his family first, then maybe that would be something the rest of the family could tackle. Alternatively, the whole story could have had a mindset more like Natsuoâs, with the goal being to cut Endeavor off because his desire to atone, regardless of its sincerity, does not entitle him to a presence in the lives of those he hurt. But none of is an option when the story itself is cheering for Endeavor the way BNHA does.
For Shoutoâs arc to be at its best, something needed to give. Dabi needed to be more open to the rest of the family from the start, or Endeavorâs desire for atonement needed to be complicated or stymied in some way that made it not feasibly attainable, be it his narcissism, his health, or the whole storyâs outlook on abusers trying to atone and whose perspective to center in a story involving such abuse. But with the Dabi we have and the Endeavor the story insists on, Shoutoâs arc itself is what wound up giving. It certainly has its moments, but I canât imagine a world in which it wouldnât have been far, far better served by Endeavor kicking the bucket as originally planned, allowing the brothers to confront each other, properly and fully, with Shouto the primary driver in saving Touya rather than having to constantly fight for screentime in his own finale.
That all said, I can definitely see the perspective that Shouto is just one kid from a shitty family situation and he does not deserve being called upon to solve the problems of the whole world and wrangle his family damage for the rest of time. Itâs not what I would have prioritized, in that I have pretty steep meta-narrative demands for a class of kids that weâre being told collectively became the greatest heroes, but from a more grounded, realistic, in-story, individual frame of mind, I think itâs wonderful that Shouto is exploring who he is as a person separate from his family issues and the career he semi-chose when he was in pre-K.
No sarcasm here; I do actually quite like his last scene. I have some quibbles with the framingâI don't like that the rankings still exist, and I think he should just be allowed to go on sabbatical rather than trying to fit time for self-improvement/self-exploration classes in between Hero work, if weâre really meant to believe that the Villain incident rate is declining. But just in concept, taking pottery classes and cooking classes and figuring himself out? Good for him! Thatâs wonderful! He did his best and he deserves every inch of it.
That is all to say, what I want from a fictional character in a relatively moralistic narrative is not what I would want from a real person in a situation anything like Shouto's, and while I don't love what we got in the former regard, Iâm glad that people who empathize/identify with him can take comfort in the ending he did get. You, anon, and any others to whom that applies, deserve all that and more.
Thanks for the ask!

Y/N Nolan on New Movie Anora & Auditioning for Quentin Tarantino | Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Word count: 1k
Warning: none
a/n
My favorite part is coming soon!!
masterlist
|previous| next|
âY/n, itâs so wonderful to have you back on the show. First Maxxxine, and now Anoraâwhat a year youâve had!â Jimmy says with a warm smile.
Y/n laughs, a little surprised at the whirlwind. âI know! Itâs been quite the year, for sure. Iâm still kind of catching my breath, but in the best way.â
Jimmy grins. âAnd now, after playing Maxine, youâre stepping into Anora. How does it feel to take a bit of a break from your horror roles and dive into something new?â
Y/n shakes her head. âWell, funny enough, it wasnât really a break at all. I was actually going back and forth between the sets of Maxxxine and Anora during the entire production of both movies. So, it was a lot of running between sets and trying to switch gears as much as possible! It was intense, but I loved every second of it.â "I mean, when Maxxxine was ending, we were starting to shoot for Anora, so I was trying to finish Maxxxine strong while also trying to get to know Anora on a deeper level, and juggling two completely different characters is not easy, but I enjoyed it!"
Jimmy raises an eyebrow in disbelief. âYou were juggling two films at the same time? Thatâs impressive! So, with Anora, youâre filming in Brooklyn. How was that experience?â
âIt was incredible," Y/N says, her eyes lighting up. âBrooklyn has this raw energy, and it really set the tone for the film. We filmed a lot in the streets, which gave it this gritty, authentic vibe. The city became a character in itself, really.â
Jimmy nods, intrigued. âAnd with Anora, youâre speaking Russian. Thatâs a big shift from your usual roles. How did you prepare for that?â
Y/n chuckles. âOh, it was a challenge, for sure, especially with the accent that I got from being around my dad's British side of the family. I had a coach for months, and she was trying to help me hide the little bit of British in me while also layering the Russian, and at first, I kept thinking I wasnât getting it right. Iâd listen to my lines and go, âWait, is that even Russian?â But I pushed through, and I really tried to connect with the character beyond just the language. It was important to me to get the essence of her, not just speak the words.â "Sean was also glad that my Brooklyn accent was very authentic, and I was like, Thank God, because it was so fun to do. Now when I talk to people, they're like, Wait, youre not actually from Brooklyn; everyone thinks I'm British because of the way I pronounce some of my words, but I'm from Nantucket; I grew up around people from there, so I acclimated to the accent and the way they pronounce things, but now that I'm older, I think I'm sort of losing it."
Jimmy laughs along with her. âI think you nailed it. Now, speaking of your family, your dad is a director. What was his reaction when he heard you were taking on such a big role, especially since you have been doing horror films for most of your adult career?â
Y/n grins. âHe was incredibly proud, as always. Heâs been in the business for years, so he totally understands the work that goes into something like that. But he never really said anything about the switch in genres. Honestly, heâs been so supportive, as always so to him; it was just something else that made him elated to talk about.â
Jimmy leans forward. âAnd you not only acted in Maxxxine, but you also wrote and produced it. Youâve been playing Maxxxineâalso known as Pearlâthroughout the entire trilogy starting from X. Thatâs got to be a special connection to that character, right?â
y/n nods thoughtfully. âItâs so personal to me. Iâve been with MaxxxineâPearl, reallyâsince the very beginning. Being a writer and producer on Maxxxine really allowed me to get even deeper into her psyche. It was such an honor to contribute to her story in that way, especially after living with her for so long. I can truly understand why my dad loves his job so much. Taking a step back and seeing her from a different point of view made me truly appreciate all directors and production put into the director's art. It felt like a really full circle moment.â
Jimmy smiles, clearly impressed. âThatâs amazing. And with all of these accomplishments under your beltâfive Oscars, nine Emmys, and now up for a Golden Globeâyouâve already achieved so much at just 25. How do you keep everything grounded?â
Y/n looks a little sheepish, but grateful. âHonestly, itâs a little overwhelming at times. But Iâve always said that itâs not about the awards for meâitâs about the work, the characters, and the stories. Iâve been acting since I was five, and my dad always taught me that the craft is what matters. So, while Iâm incredibly grateful for the recognition, itâs the work that keeps me grounded.â
Jimmy laughs in disbelief. âFive Oscars, nine Emmys, and a Golden Globe nomination? You make it sound like itâs no big deal! But I have to askâhow did you land the role in Anora? Did you audition?â
Y/n laughs, shaking her head. âActually, I didnât audition for Anora. Quentin Tarantino came to the premiere of Pearl before we even started shooting Maxxxine. He came up to me afterward and said, âI need you to be my Anora. This isnât an A24 film, but I need you to play her.â It was so unexpected, but Quentinâs one of those directors you just want to work with, you know? So, I said, âOkay, sure, but Iâll be bouncing between sets.â And he was completely fine with it. He really wanted me to play her.â
Jimmy looks amazed. âSo Quentin Tarantino just walked up to you and said, âYouâre Anoraâ? Thatâs incredible! How did you feel about that?â
Y/n grins, her eyes sparkling with excitement. âIt was surreal! Iâve always admired him as a filmmaker, so to have him offer me that role was just a dream come true. And I think the fact that Iâd be juggling two sets at once didnât even phase him. He just wanted me to be a part of it, and I was all in.â
Jimmy nods appreciatively. âThatâs the dream, right? You donât even need to audition when youâve already got someone like Quentin Tarantino wanting you in their film. Now, Iâve heard youâve been called the âQueen of Horrorââhow does that title sit with you?â
Y/n laughs a little bashfully. âItâs such an honor! Horror has been such an important part of my career, and honestly, I actually do not particularly love horror films, but I love the rush. Itâs exciting to be a part of it, and if people want to call me the âQueen of Horrorâ, Iâll accept it. But I also want to branch out and do other things too. Thereâs so much more I want to explore.â
Jimmy smiles warmly. âYouâre doing amazing things already. And I know thereâs much more to come. Y/n, itâs always such a pleasure to have you here. Youâre one of the most exciting young talents in Hollywood right now.â
Y/n smiles gratefully. âThank you, Jimmy. That means so much to me.â
Jimmy grins back. "Y/n Nolan, everybody! Be sure to check out Anora and Maxxxine, now in theaters!â

omg lol thank you for the amount of time you put into this đ
tbh not to avoid responsibility for posting bad takes on main but my original post doesnât really convey the sentiment i wanted it toâwhat i really wanted to talk about was the fact that jayce talis is just insanely earnest ALL the time because i was annoyed with people saying heâs this golden retriever himbo. heâs a way more interesting character than that!
(also let me make it clear rn that jayce, no matter if heâs talis or giopara, is my favorite character and i find all his many flaws and strengths extremely fascinating bc i donât think that came across very well in the post)
i definitely agree with you that giopara and talis are the same person in different circumstances. iâm lowk obsessed with their differences, and the main one i was trying to talk about but didnât really bc i got caught up in yapping is that talis doesnât seem to have the concrete foundation of beliefs that giopara does. yes he does what he thinks is right and he really cares about those around him, but heâs VERY easy to manipulate (though i will definitely say he wised up to this by the end of season one (iâll respect your wishes to ignore season 2 lmfao). whereas giopara sees this invention that The Individual âąïž heâs obsessed with just created that can literally control people and heâs like Um Yeah No. immediately. do i think talis would have had the same reaction in the same circumstance? yes. but do i think he would have stood his ground against Viktor? ehâŠ.
iâm not really trying to say one version of jayce is better than the other. i just find the differences really cool!
thanks for the essay haha although i did briefly want to die while reading it đđ
here comes a long post iâm fucking sorry lmao
a really interesting point was raised the other day about who the better person is (morally): jayce talis or jayce giopara? [insert obligatory admission about the fact that giopara has an annoying personality].
Like, talis is of course nice and kind and wonderful, perhaps a bit naive, but i donât think we talk about how far heâs willing to go for what he believes. he weaponizes hextech because mel asks him to, and he doesnât think further. he blatantly ignores viktorâs wishes about destroying the hexcore, even using it on his corpse to reanimate him. he ignores the council and does what he wants, enacting vigilante justice at the cost of innocent lives (including an actual child). he set up the fucking hexgates in such a way that they pollute the water supply of the undercity. and then, when heâs back from his sabbatical in hell, he goes to viktor. he looks him in the eyes, with the weapon he never wanted him to make, and he shoots him. what the actual fuck this guy is unhinged. he doesnât THINK. he has no sense of consequencesâof course if you keep unsecured, highly unstable and explosive materials in your residential apartment, things might blow up in your face (literally!). of course your patron wonât support youâshe is beholden to social opinion. of course weapons can never be unmade and are always used. of course using the scary magical dodecahedron your partner begged you to destroy to bring said partner back from the dead will bring him back Different âąïž. come on Jayce.
and then giopara. he has no true family, instead is left to the bloodthirsty clans who want him for what he can give them. heâs antisocial. heâs fucking annoying. heâs a diva đ. heâs impossible to work with but impossible to get rid of because heâs just that smart. he hates politics and only gets into them to appease his investors so he can do what he actually wants. he doesnât give a fuck about the common people who look up to him so much. heâs alone, alone, alone. and then heâs not. he meets this other brilliant mind, the only one who can keep up with him. i mean how insane would that be? he must have been at least a little obsessed with viktor because of that. then picture jayce, in all his egotistical glory, drunk on life and the belief that he and viktor are the brightest minds alive, when viktor shows him the diver suits. why does he resist? why does he care? no one in his life is telling him to care. he just does. he sees the devices for what they are, or at least what they could be twisted to be, and calls viktor out on it. he doesnât speak up for viktor when the stanwick thing happens, itâs true, but doubtless he simply expected viktor to wow and amaze with a different project and be happy with the credit from that. and then viktor leaves. and jayce is a one man act again. like always. like forever and always. jayce acts wrongly, itâs true, when it comes to viktor and destroying his lab and accidentally killing those people, but he saw what he thought was evil and he went for it. no thought of what he could lose. no thought of who he could lose.
idk man thereâs something about these two. by no means do i think talis is a bad person, in fact i think heâs a fundamentally good one. but heâs just so fucking naive, and towards the end heâs willing to do ANYTHING for what he believes, no matter the grisly consequences. heâs fucking scary. heâs unhinged. giopara on the other hand has a terrible personality, but is completely unwavering in his beliefs no matter the cost to himself or his relationships. viktor asked him to work together again, and he said âget a psyche evalâ and slammed the door.
#sorry for dropping an essay on you op for if I do not yap I will explode and die#<- trust i understand the need to yap
