Basically Kaito is avoiding his old friends cause he promised Kei’s mom to do better in order to keep hanging out with Kei. She already scolded him for skipping school to be at their house and she almost scolded him for being at their house all the time but Kai explains that his mom doesn’t even realize he’s gone half the time. So she starts encouraging him to do better and hopes it will also motivate Kei.

Kaito also wants to do better so he can become a certified caregiver for Kei that way he can have an excuse to be with him all the time.

Kei agrees to join the program where he meets Kou and Sato and other would have been ajins. He and Kai start kinda dating in secret but they don’t want to admit it cause they realized 1. They don’t know how Kei’s mom would react and 2. Eriko started being more obvious that she likes Kaito and they want to avoid starting issues. They find out anyways tho..

Have had some people ask this in the past- which is no issue! I’m going to make a clarifying post here, though:

No, I do not have set sexualities for any of the characters in my comic.

The canon of this AU is consistent of straight pairings (unless you want to count Wilting and Ed, who you guys can imagine whatever you want with, and whatever anyone decides about their OCs!) (since most of the ships follows the parents of the main cast or me shipping Ellie with the random band of guys that follows her around) but I personally do not care who you ship.

A large part of this is that I would rather not risk anyone gatekeeping pairings just because it doesn’t fit a character’s sexuality. No issues against anyone who does confirm these for their fictional little dudebros! Do what you want with with your universes and stories, I’m just explaining where I’m coming from here.

I do not give a flying stick who you ship (within reason, of course! Ellie and Carol are related. Suave is a monster.). While my personal wishes are that people avoid shipping Lefty and Ellie- as I see them as family and with a slightly sizable age gap- I do not actually give a flying stick about that either. I also have always intended for Sven and Randy to have a father-son dynamic, but I won’t stop you from pairing them up.

However, this applies to my characters and my interpretations of canon characters only. Respect the wishes of the owners of any OCs featured in this comic! For example, Wolf (owned by @oreothefox715) is a lesbian. Brutus (owned by @smoresthehalloweenqueen) and Gabriel (owned by @icilarastudios) are both pan. Please respect their wishes as far as how you treat their characters goes!

TLDR: CoR characters do not have set sexualities unless they are fan OCs, in which case please respect the wishes of the creator.

- Skye was named after her aunt on her mothers side

- Skye takes incredible care of her skin, because she can be acne prone with certain products. No one will ever know the secrets to her skincare routine, all except for Leonardo who practically begged her to spill the beans.

- can’t stand the smell of nail polish remover, literally had to cover her nose while she paints and removes nail polish because the smell makes her wanna gag

- may or may not have taught leo to paint designs on his nails. Him and her Defiantly match when they can

- tries her best to help leonardo with his insomnia. Tea, music, making him laugh until he’s tried or just cuddling him (his personal favorite) until he gets tired enough to fall asleep

- didn’t even shed a tear when she got her nose and ear piercings. To a point her and her sister’s mother thought something was wrong. Turns out she was just screaming internally-

- Parkour is her specialty. Roof hopping is just an average Tuesday night for her.

- Takes great care of her hair, prefers to keep it short but she will occasionally grow it out long

- she has a few skateboards that she’s collected. Customizes all of them with different themes, paints, stickers

- the one she uses the most is a skateboard that matches in design and color to Leo’s (they have each others names painted on it-)

- frequents a lot of local cafes and pizza restaurants. She Became hueso’s favorite customer because she helped make sure leo didn’t cause too much trouble.

- likes singing, playing guitar, keyboard and drums. Has a secret notebook of songs she wrote

- when she’s older, she gets dozens of butterfly and bat themed tattoos across her back and arms

- Public displays of affection between her and leo and quite common and encouraged by each other. Either constantly holding hands, hugging, giving piggy back rides ect.

- she can speak, English, Spanish and Portuguese. She tries to teach leo Spanish and Portuguese. They also Occasionally talk to one another in Spanish.

- has a spot in her room for leo to come over and hang out, it’s a hammock area over by the window though most of the time he’s cuddling up to her while playing video games, reading comics ect. He likes to brag about it, and she just playfully rolls her eyes.

- loves insects all except for roaches. moths and butterflies are her favorite

- loves bats as well. Has a little miniature butterfly garden-like set up in her window so she could watch the bats come in

- Carries some type of water bottle on her, wether it be for herself, her sisters or the turtles. Has a bunch of stickers on said water bottle.

- banned leo from accessing the mini fridge in her room because he stole all the pizza bites out of it while she was taking a nap (he made up for it with ice cream)

- has her own space in the lair close to Leo’s whenever she comes over. She has a little tent with pillows and a mini tv she brought over to play games. Most of the time you’ll catch her just skateboarding around the lair, or sprawled out on a blanket pile with leo reading comics.

- Second place for queen of the fairy lights (she and so many in her room the electric bills are sobbing-)

- Leo definitely knows her hair routine and yes, he loves to help out. (He loves how soft her curls are) Draws little shapes with the products on her curls (she loves this goober enough not to gently thwack him with a towel for wasting her hair products)

- spraypainting is something she occasionally tries out, usually goes up to a random rooftop or vacant area where no one is gonna care before testing it out.

- leo does the face taps to her a lot. after she figured out what exactly that meant (girl was hella confused as to why he was doing that out of the blue) she started doing it to him back. And now it’s just a random thing they do when they see each other or whenever they want to (this turtle literally becomes a churring smug mess over her it’s embarrassing-)

- most of her clothes probably come from hot topic or small businesses

- always Carries her favorite snacks in her bag, gently bats Leo’s hands away when he tries to steal any of the pizza bites she bought (he tries to snatch them out of her hand when she is literally is about to eat it like boi you tryna die?-)

- Skye has a very small scar on her right eyebrow from when she fell off a horse as a kid. Claims it as her battle scar and feels it makes her look a little badass.

- Skilled in archery, volleyball and surfing. Mainly on the volleyball team and do surfing and archery as hobbies. Used to be on the archery club at her school but she didn’t like the overly competitive and overly strict rules placed on her shoulders so she quit the club

- her favorite two drinks are blueberry boba tea and mango milkshake. Got hooked on blueberry boba tea after Marcy and Angie dragged her to a boba shop to try some of the new drinks

- Has watched law and order enough to know the intro message word by word

- Competes in a local underground skateboarding competition, usually ends up in second place or first place most of the time

- Hangs out at the local roller skating rink or arcade when she’s not hanging out the turtles or her sisters

- Learned to paint her nails from her sister sunny. Mostly paints them green, blue or black in various hues and adds little designs on them to match her clothing

- Collects a lot of funky and unique jewelry (fuzzy worm earrings, cute clay rings, silver skull ear studs, a choker with a dangly atlas moth charm)

- loves to make beaded charm bracelets and rings. She has a whole collection and miniature drawer of bracelets and rings she made. Made her and leo a matching bracelet and ring set (he teases her over the rings being an early proposal before they confessed)

- Her and Angie are adopted (Skye was adopted when she was one year old around the same age as marcy, and Angie was adopted a year after she was) it doesn’t really bother her much nor does she or Angie think about it much

- Her favorite food to make is homemade pastel or homemade pizza (specifically cheese, Hawaiian or St. Louis)

- Hates the smell of broccoli when it’s cooking or steaming. Leo tried to make broccoli casserole as a prank to bring to Skye, and she stepped one foot into the lairs kitchen before immediately turning around and walking away. It physically makes her ill and the smell is one of her weaknesses

- makes the most random out of pocket comments when she’s sleepy. Like “where are penguins knees? Like are they doing squats the whole time” or “you think mothman has access to the internet?” And not forgetting “i wonder if I could ever use your shell as a boogie board leo?” Someone get this girl down for a nap-

- her and Leonardo have random movie nights or game nights either at the lair or at her and her sisters apartment both before they started dating and after they started dating/he confessed

- Her and Leo’s first date was at senor heuso’s pizza restaurant and afterwards they just sat on a rooftop to stargaze and watch some old lou jitsu movies

- Loves stargazing. Sitting on the roof or the fire escape with some blankets and her switch/ds. She’ll curl up in a makeshift hammock and just observe the stars she can see through the city lights. Her favorite place to stargaze is her grandparents farm, since there is little light pollution.

- Fav spot on her grandparents farm is this old house that was built in the 1600s, she made it into a makeshift clubhouse when she was little so it holds a lot of memories for her.

- She’s trying to learn how to cook better and in turn teaching leo how to cook (because this boi needs some guidance because the kitchen equipment cannot be replaced again)

- Trying to control her yokai abilities by training with the turtles. It’s kind of confusing for her since human form but having in human abilities kind of throws the brain for a loop, but she’s slowly getting there.

- After the kraang incident, Skye will just randomly come over to the lair or leo will come over to her and her sister’s apartment so she and him can just be in each others presence. Cuddles, video games, random talks or going on walks around the city. Just to know the other one is there and that they’re okay.

- always has an extra pair of headphones on her. Made different playlists for herself, family and friends

- she also has a whole collection of video games, from her favorites to vintage games she just wanted to collect, on another shelf in her room.

- has played in a few video game competitions here and there, though she’s just tries them out for fun.

- has a whole shelf of books she genuinely likes to read and re-read. Frequents the library more often than most people think

- Her and leo like to practice a lot of skating tricks together. It has become a competition at this point, and yes they both have folders on their phones labeled “top ten leo fails” or “top ten Skye fails” just for giggles

- got a lifetime pass to a spa in the hidden city from her mother (shhhh-don’t question how she got it, it’s a secret)

- Uses humor as a coping mechanism sometimes

- A lot of her and Leo’s dates are mostly just random places they feel like going to that night if they don’t want to have a home date. However they’re still meaningful to them. Just spending time together having fun and being happy matters enough to them

- Fav scent is coconut creamcicle or vanilla sea salt

- the one place she wants to visit is her grandmothers old home in Costa Rica

Here’s something I’ve been wondering about lately…

Clarification:

Local animal applies to any place you live, you’ve lived in, or spent a significant amount of time in. I’m also extending this option to include animals from your country of origin even if you’ve never been there, and also local animals that you haven’t seen in person.

This applies to any pet you, a family member, or a close friend have owned. This option also applies to any pet you’ve worked with, wether you worked with this animal for your main job, or just babysat it as an odd job.

This one can mean either traits the animal actually has (for example, capybaras being mainly peaceful or antelopes being fast) or traits the animal has been given in popular media or by people (for example, bats being evil or owls being smart)

This one’s basically just an animal you thought just seemed cool, wether you liked it’s looks or think there’s something it can do that’s really cool. This option also applies to animals you think look cute, pretty, or creepy. It just generally is meant to mean you found it appealing looking.

This one’s pretty self explanatory, if you have fun drawing an animal and chose your fursona to be that animal because of it then that’s what this option is.

This one’s a little vague, but what I meant is this is an animal you’re super interested in, not for any of the other reasons. It could be a special internet or hyperfixation, or it could be your longtime favorite animal.

It’s if you’ve ever been compared to another animal by people (could be based on physical appearance, personality, inside jokes, or anything else) and decided to make that your fursona. For example, being called a golden retriever because you have a cheery and excited personality, or being compared to an owl because you have big eyes.

This one is for if you don’t really have any special reason for picking it, but just connect with it regardless, or if you just can’t figure out the reason why you feel a connection to that animal in particular.

This one is for if you made a random character, not for the intent of being a fursona or anything, but you ended up liking it enough or being attached enough to it, to the point where you decided to make it your fursona. This could be any character, from the edgy warrior cats oc you made when you were twelve, or the werewolf chars get your made for a DnD campaign last year, to just a little animal character you consistently doodle everywhere. This option also applies if the character was originally human, but you made it into an animal.

This one is for an animal you wish you were or feel like you should have been. Though this option mainly applies to therians or otherkin/animalkin, anyone else could feel the same thing and choose that option. If you made a fursona because you found yourself wishing you could live in the woods or have fur or something along those lines, this one’s for you.

This one’s for if you just made your fursona a random thing without thinking it out. Like if you just randomly thought “hm I wonder what my fursona should be, I guess I’ll go with this”, or if you spent a lot of time thinking about it, but ultimately ended up picking something random for the hell of it, or something similar to that.

This one’s for if your fursona is inspired by a book, game, movie, comic, show, song, etc. This could mean that you were inspired by a character (for example, making a cat fursona based off of Salem the cat). It could also mean that your fursona started off as a self insert for one of these things (like making an animal character to fit into Avatar). Additionally, it could also mean you made a fursona based off of the vibe of your favorite media (like making a machinelike fursona based off of the song cabinet man). This definition is pretty loose, if your fursona was in some way inspired by any kind of media this one’s for you.

Okay! I made a little ask on your other account specifically for your AU :)

But, since we're on the topic of au's, I actually have a little recommendation for another one that you've probably heard of, but in my opinion, it's still pretty underrated and deserves all the love in the world. It's called the Little Brother au, and Sharkfinn, the creator of it, made an original character named Spot. It's basically a separated au where Spot is being raised by Draxum, except this Draxum is just a really good Dad, so that's nice for a change. There's a lot more that goes into it, but I don't wanna spoil anything. So just go check it out if that sounds interesting at all. It's just that after Cass's Apocalyptic Series ended, Finn's au has really gotten me through that tough pain of letting an amazing story go. So, maybe it could do the same for you.

Say, I've actually chatted with Finn a little bit about digital art and how he's made his au, so if you wanted, you could ask him some questions! I think he'd be happy to have another fellow oc au comic artist in the Tumblr space asking for some pointers :]

AAAAAAAAAAA but thank you for the suggestion and the motivation to keep going with this AU! It’s a pretty big project that I’ve had playing in my brain for the past couple years and it means a ton to me!

Totally forgot to even mention what it’s called lmao - It’s called the New Home AU. The name symbolizes Clover’s entrance into a new, healthier life and a new home with a new family. Her name also ties into some important details later down the line which is completely unintentional on my part, but I’m not saying what until someone asks for the answer on my blog~ I’m not teasing anything cuz I literally just realized this as I’m typing it but if anyone out there were to randomly be like “Hey why’s ur name Clover???” I’ll just make a response like “Hey yeah so uhh it’s cuz of this one random detail that I literally just noticed haha” I doubt someone would ask that and they don’t have to at all but it would be so hilarious if that happened right????

ANYWHIZZLE I think I’ve heard of this AU actually! I found an animatic around a year or so ago on YouTube of a smaller turtle brother being sad about the fact that he can’t do his bandages properly on his own and Raph comes in, offers to help, while the little guy remisces on his time with Draxum. Though that last bit had an ominous subtext to it so I’m gonna assume that’s not it… I’ll totally check this AU out though! Seems super fun!

Nah dude, that’s actually perfectly fine, I mean it. I’m genuinely glad there’s like 4 people who like her or find her interesting, I just legit don’t know how she’d react or process that type of relationship. I mean other than outright perishing from embarrassment, doubt, and being worried she’d be a hinderance more than a help, the only positive thing I can see overall is that she’d have her nurturing side. As repeatedly stated, if something bad happened to a person she came to care about or liked, she’ll make whoever caused the issue have an entire fist sandwich. Even though I’ve drawn OCs that kept my interest for like a week as a little kid, I still put my all into thinking up a background for them. *shrug*

I also didn’t expect that sort of response about her from anybody, let alone any at all. I also named her Penne without honestly even thinking of the pasta correlation, originally I almost went with Perogi or Pembroke (?). As for the smooch she’d literally retract into herself with the same level of violence as biting a lemon and hide forever while sputtering, but hey! She’d appreciate it in her own way… eventually! -

She is supportive and reassuring and is prime hug material, but when doing that sort of Canon x OC stuff you also have to think about any conflict and eventual (if possible depending on severity) resolution, and general domestic behavior, not singularly romantic. She may be sedentary when home and consume a massive amount of carbs (hence the thicc) but she moves like a machine behind the counter because her job demands it, it’s the take-charge side of her she doesn’t believe she has. Yes, Pal is sweet and humble, but the humbleness comes from a place lacking confidence and shame, or believing she’s auto-unlikable so she keeps it on the DL.

As for drawing character interaction, nah, I wouldn’t draw it for all of them, but you can have this!

If it’s one thing that bothers the shit out of me when it comes to OC x canon interaction or pairings, it’s that they’re molded with the assumption that they’re going to be friends with everybody (Snow-White-and-the-forest-animals style) and they’re all going to have a crush on the OC or something. That is cause for immediate wince and makes for some hella poor character structure because it’s so one dimensional. You along with another person teased potential friendship-or-more chemistry with her and a few characters (fucking why u guuuyz??? Also thx to the toad for being a bag of foot flakes and teasing about putting her with fake Peppino… may you be cursed to forever taste mustard no matter what you eat), which in itself is fun but doesn’t mean she’s instant friends with everyone.

I have to be clear, there would be characters she wouldn’t get along with at all, just as much as there would be ones that wouldn’t bother her in the slightest and she would regard positively. It’s also normal for characters in relationships to have debates, or disagreements. A friend/lover can do something stupid or chaotic that makes the other character question them, there can be an argument, but ultimately a healthy cool off and forgiveness is a good part of a foundation. Granted, repeat offenses and severity play a big role in whether or not a character can be forgiven, reflective of real life. Also strain can be a complicating constant in a relationship, they’re not always daisies and butterflies.

Reasons vary but often it's a question I've already answered, the answer is a spoiler, or I don't have all the lore ready yet so to avoid flooding my blog with a bunch of "I dunno" responses I just don't respond. Other times it's personal reasons like I have no response to a comment, I don't think a joke made was funny, I feel uncomfortable, or I don't vibe with the message. Don't take it personally if I don't respond to you, I'm just a random person on the internet and I can be pretty picky occasionally.

I use a lowkey glitchy Huion Kamvas 13 and Clip Studio Paint Ex (it lets me sort through comic pages way easier)

I don’t do commissions anymore, I do not take any requests (including people asking me to make a specific OC, draw more of a specific OC, or draw more of a specific story), and art trades are friends and mutuals only.

I LOVE FANART! Fan art, fan songs, even inbox messages of people saying a specific thing reminds them of an OC of my makes me happy.

I’m also okay with people having their own OCs interact with my own (so long as it stays platonic tho Husky is an exception to this rule) . I only ask that you keep my OC couples (Red Beans, Licorice, Blackberries, etc.) together.

I used to be fine with fanfics but have since changed my mind on them due to personal reasons.

I am totally fine with fan characters, so long as no one pressures me into including them into my stories. 

When it comes to Glitter and Guilt, I ask that you do not make any fan characters if you aren't 18 or older due to the more mature content in the story.

Beanstalked , which follows a farm boy named Jack who lives on Lore, a world where a celestial centennial event assigns people with the roles of fairy tales from our world, and his life after discovering he is part of the newest generation.

A generation that is especially unlucky when a petty ink fairy decides to mess with the natural order of things.

During the struggle, characters run into the conflict of deciding if their happy endings are worth the sacrifice compared to the happy lives they’ve made for themselves while off the story paths assigned to them. In Jack’s case, he winds up falling in love with a lupine girl in red known as Nana who has been assigned Little Red Riding hood, actively going against the predetermined ending of his own story.

Glitter and Guilt , which follows Sweetheart, a 20-something magical girl in college, who’s dealing with working solo as a hero while coping with the guilt of her team breaking apart during high school after the death of their team member, Angel.

TBH way more than toyhouse has listed but not all of them are super active. The ones that are the most active are the Beanstalked, Bondwidth, and Glitter and Guilt crew.

All my OCs are Bi or Pan as I am a Bi disaster that desires for my own food. 

I like writing them flexibly and from my own experiences so I myself can focus more on their adventures and dynamics

AND I struggle taking the unique experiences of every OC that live in a fictional and fantastical version of our universe and applying labels to them as someone who truly struggles with their own in OUR universe.

I just know for certain I am Bi and Nonbinary so I have a lotta both in my line-up as  prefer writing from experience. An experience where I tend to have to squint just to acknowledge gender because an enby be forgetting sometimes.

Probably gonna be a long post. Wanted to go over my three experiences using psychedelic mushrooms so far! 🍄💖

���� My first trip (little less than 2g) started off a bit uncomfortable, with this sort of rocking back and forth motion like I'm on a boat. I knew from having used weed heavily that I should "give in" to this feeling, so I kinda just closed my eyes and relaxed and tried to allow it to take me. I was sitting there convinced for awhile that I was going to vomit, but that didn't happen.

Once the sickness feeling passed, I was a bit antsy to do something so I decided to play some Overwatch 2. People being trolls or angry didn't really affect me as much as usual, and I kinda just tried to chat and spread good vibes. Eventually I noticed the game looked super "spread out," like the distance between everything seemed much longer than normal. My characters' hands in view felt the same.

That's about when colors started looking REALLY vivid and awesome. I stopped the game and started really enjoying looking at colorful things, like a rainbow worm thing, and a trippy canvas piece I have of my OC, which I discovered is really reactive under a UV light. I became VERY appreciative of art and spent a lot of time just admiring my enamel pin collection or other art pieces. I watched the "Shrimplicity" channel on YouTube, which is just a video of some shrimps with LoFi music... Pretty good.

Spent some time being very introspective, examining myself and the way I respond to things. I felt genuinely bad for people who spend their time getting mad at games and not having the chance to examine themselves like this, but in a calm and accepting way. Overall it felt like a literal vacation from my own mind and physical form, and it seemed to last much longer than it actually did, perhaps even days.

🔴 My second trip wasn't as long or interesting. It was about a week later, I took 2g. I tried taking a bath while tripping and discovered I just did not like it; the water just felt cold to me no matter what, and I felt bored and not particularly interested in anything. I mostly just watched a video of some squids and smoked a bit of weed. It was calm and nice, but also mellow and largely uneventful. I felt in one key moment that the mushrooms "assured me" it would be okay to try tripping again whenever I'd like.

🔴 Third trip, I took 3g. This was only a few days after the previous trip, certainly not ideal, but I trusted the feeling I had when I felt the mushrooms assure me I could try again. Oh my God. I got so high. I wasn't only seeing colors vividly, but shifting colors dramatically, so everything colorful just seemed to have a lazy RGB filter applied to it. There were other texture-y filtures over my vision at times as well.

I had the overwhelmingly strong feeling that there was some kind of entity with me-- the mushroom entity I guess, almost like a god. I really did grasp the concept of religion more than I ever had at this point. The mushroom entity had answers to questions for me that I should not have had the answer to for myself. It seemed to want to look after me, to care for me and make sure I didn't feel alone. I felt very highly sensitive to any touch, as well as the emotions of others. I watched this random driving footage in different cities and I felt like I was looking at buildings for the first time in a totally different mentality, it was pretty wild.

I stayed high for quite awhile and spend a looong time talking with my s/o about different philosophies and worldviews, going from one topic to the next quite quickly if I decided I didn't want to talk about something anymore. It was a really freeing feeling.

Unfortunately I needed to go to sleep for work at this point and was still much more high than I'd expected to get. I tried laying down but closing my eyes was comical; I would clearly see all kinds of random kaleidoscope trippy shit clear in my vision. I had some ambiance playing and it ticked me off. The fan blowing ticked me off. Eventually my s/o had to sleep somewhere else because I just was not going to get to sleep with any sounds in the room at all.

Next day I felt normal. Overall though, REALLY enjoying the experience so far. It's been interesting for me because I have a lot of wildly mysterious shit locked in my psyche and this allows me to explore it and other concepts in such a new way.

I’ve always written in third person, but I started out using script-style RP. I occasionally did para/novel style, but script was definitely my go-to for most of my threads in my first 1-2 years of RP.

I’m happy with how he was portrayed in some parts of his canon, but not in others. I overall prefer how he was written in the comics for his Savior era, but loved just about everything they did with him in seasons 9 and 10 on the show. Season 11 had some good moments, but the random love interest and all his other relationships being tossed to the side in favor of Maggie soured a lot for me (not that I didn’t like any of his stuff with Maggie, but making his entire storyline revolve around her was too much, especially since they’re getting an entire spin-off too. Even his relationship with Annie was ultimately about Maggie.)

I’ve developed some nice dynamics with a few OCs, but wouldn’t necessarily say they influenced my muse a whole lot outside of his verse with them, except maybe help establish a few headcanons.

There aren’t any fandoms I regret exploring. There are some I’d never return to, but even those had their good moments, such as introducing me to people I now consider friends. I will say though that the Twitter side of the TWD fandom is extremely rough, and there are certain parts of Negan’s own fandom I wish I had never involved myself with.

I can’t say there’s any rare-pairs I’m really passionate about, at least regarding romantic ships with Negan. I don’t think Negan/Lucille or Negan/Rick count as rare lol.

For ships I let them happen naturally, see where they go. I can’t “plot” my muse’s feelings; I can’t force them to feel a specific way about another muse. However if the muses end up having chemistry and both muns are on board for a ship, at that point I don’t mind plotting scenarios a little bit. I’m also more okay with plotting ships with someone in other verses once I’ve developed a ship with them in our muses’ main verse, because then we already know the chemistry is there.

I don’t think there’s any writing trends that I specifically adore, unless we count dash commentary and banter and that sort of thing. I’ve always enjoyed that. But I’m neutral to most trends here. When it comes to ones I dislike, it’s the over-formatting. I hated the purple prose trend too.

favorite thing about them - so many things. he ticks so many of my boxes. angry and sad little man who still has a lot of love to give. wants to be a dad. likes animals. clearly losing his mind. I appreciate that he’s pink and has a ‘feminine’ hobby like knitting but is never mocked for it by the game or characters.

least favorite thing about them - this isn’t so much about him specifically but! i wish his relationship with wiggle actually got some fleshing out! i wish they actually talked about it like every other couple in the game does! just feels like a missed opportunity. See the nOTP section.

brOTP - GRAMBLE SNORPY BROS FOREVER. they both like comics and talking about the weird stuff they’ve seen on the island.

OTP - Any one of the wonderful OCs I or my friends have made to partner him with.

nOTP - See, Gramble/Wiggle is the sort of pairing I’m willing to engage with while they are on the island, but it is admittedly very underwritten. I think if they had it so Gramble was aware Wiggle was stealing from him but was turning a blind eye because of his abandonment issues and worries that she’d leave him if he stopped providing her with bugsnax, it would have given a lot of layers of nuance to it, but instead it’s just not really discussed at all and she never apologizes for it. 

That all said, I still don’t think they’d stay together romantically even if they did work it out, because of their differences in lifestyle and because she’s too old for him. I know the AMA ages are not canon but I have my own ideas for their ages, and personally think it fits Wiggle’s character better to be trying to claw her way out from under her one popular song for nearly two decades. It explains why she’s so willing to literally die rather than go home without a new song.

Also I don’t really like Gramble/Wambus.... Again, the age gap, and I think they’d have more of a platonic father-son thing going on, or maybe uncle-nephew.

random headcanon - he’s transhet! he grew up in grumpus Florida! he named himself after a comic book character! he’s an angry crier! and a happy crier.

unpopular opinion - I think Gramble would be the most susceptible to bugsnax out of the entire cast. If he ate even one while he was fully conscious that’d be the end for him. He’s tasted pure unconditional love and he’s not going back. Also I don’t think the backstory they gave him in the official guidebook is very good. Gramble’s not an idiot. He wouldn’t work at a pet store if he didn’t understand he was expected to sell animals. I don’t actually think this one is that unpopular but man.

7 Anti LO Asks

1. Persephone’s character honestly just sucks. With everything that has happened I now see why Demeter was the way she was, her daughter has killed people and a nymph. “Oh I’m so naive and innocent but I won’t hesitate when I get tattled on for murder.” Like I know RS wants complicated more than 1 note characters but this is opposite sides of the spectrum.

2. what i dont get regarding LO is apollo's stupid plan is nothing to kronos coming back, who was awoken/revived by persephone's own lack of control, wouldnt that be even more valid of a reason to put her under lock and key? like she's genuinely a threat not just in her lack of control (which the comic frames as good) but she's creating more problems via kronos and having hades and co. being corrupt to keep her free of punishment. there is no peace and justice if she's walking free in the end IMHO.

3. ok but also with LO framing apollo as evil for wanting to overthrow zeus: it also frames zeus as corrupt and bad (despite no one minus hera and hades's personal grievances and i guess ares not liking him) so?? whats exactly the endgame supposed to be? hxp become rulers of all the realms? the monarchy is overthrown? hera rules solo a "yass queen" moment? you cant establish apollo is evil for wanting him out of power, but also keep saying zeus is a bad king! theres no happy ending for any of this!

4. I’m getting sick and tired of LO stans lying about the actual mythology just to make there shitty webcomic look better. Like one time i saw someone saying that they wished Apollo wasn’t evil in the comic so him and Hyacinth could be together (same) and you wanna know what a LO stan said? “You clearly don’t know anything about the myths Apollo killed Hyacinth in the original myths because a princess was also in love with him and Apollo being the selfish predatory bisexual yandere (yes they said yandere) he is decided to kill him because he’s a dick” they then went on about how Op only liked Apollo because ancient times ancient greeks where “barbaric”

5. Does Persephone even feel guilty? Like now that the village people incident is known by the readers she doesn’t think about it or talk about it even tho it’s about her trial coming up. And then the other thing is that when it’s brought to light she turns someone apart of that team into a plant. She should have known something like that could have been coming since a -she killed some people and b she wasn’t punished for it. Like I’m sure Demeter promised she’d take care of it, but there’s only so much she could do. Like it’s fair Persephone committed a crime and used her powers for wrath and killed people. Like I know Zeus isn’t fair but still her life isn’t in “tatters”. Persephone cares more about not being like Hera enough and being called a “dumb village girl” once, rather than idk actual murder or taming her powers

6. its shocking to me that we're almost four years of LO and minthe is still more distinct than the actual lead. you see a red woman with pointy ears, a sleek business look, and a death glare, and you instantly knows that's her, meanwhile you see a bright pink, baby faced woman and instead dont know if its persephone, daphne, or some other random nymph OC someone made up. even Hera isn't unique anymore with Leto around. The majority of unique looks are villains and Hades, and that's it!

7. I haven’t read the fast pass, BUT from the little snippets I’ve read, how can you have a timeskip with so much happening right now? Daphne is waiting for Demeter, Demeter is waiting for someone just anyone to notice she’s gone and a bird (like I thought that was gonna be a Hecate and Persephone bonding thing where Hecate would treat Persephone as an adult) Minthe is still a plant, like shouldn’t some of that stuff get addressed before they pull a secret wedding? Wouldn’t the fans actually wanna read a wedding? I know I shouldn’t say too much since I don’t have fast pass so my view shouldn’t matter this much, but I can’t imagine these plot points being done with proper care and planning. I honestly feel RS wants to shove as much HXP she can and then remember there’s like sometimes a plot to follow.
