Thinking about Cooper being non picky and having extremely marginalised way of living, eating dirt and people, probably not taking baths and not needing any anti-radiation medicine at all, but now, when travelling with Lucy, he's actually trying to get somewhat resembling actual humane conditions - actual meat that can be roasted on fire, drinkable filtered water, Rad Away pills.

Lucy is grateful and one day gets him a place in local motel for the night by paying some extra (Ghoul Tax), with an actual bed, so he could also experience some comfort (he absolutely will lock her up in this room until morning and go sleep in the forest saying like "looks like a good place indeed, take ur rest here today" lmao)

🏺 Leosagi pottery au 🏺

The brain worms are worming but it’s something I actually know a thing or two about so now I yap! :U

🪱 Ok ok, hear me out . . .

Au Summary: Leo’s doing some hot girl shit and by that I mean being depressed and locking himself in his room, rotting away.

Mikey convinces Leo to take a pottery class with him & drags his ass along

Mikey’s great at it (obvi) but Leo’s having trouble and hates it

The instructor comes by and helps him out (aka Miyamoto Usagi) and pulls a “Ghost” (he actually doesn’t, he just helps him center clay, but Leo is convinced “it was for sure a Ghost moment” lol) (also hence the shitty doodle I posted earlier)

And now that this bitch has a hot instructor, he’s all excited to get out of his room and do pottery

I mean he’s still depressed but now he’s trying to rizz up his instructor lol

Pottery Talk: Im having loads of fun thinking about Usagi’s pottery style

Let me explain-💅

The first brain-worm thought, “What if I modeled Usagi off of Shoji Hamada” (aka one of my favorite potters) 🪱

It sooo preeetttty 😫 The calligraphy-like brush strokes, the colors, the simplicity and the mingei movement, it all just SCREAMS Usagi!!

A little more context: Shoji Hamada was THE guy in the Mingei (folk-art) movement which emphasized using local resources! Dude was making beautiful work using the clay in the dirt. No fancy shmancy imported porcelain or complicated designs with intricate gold enamel. The connection/appreciation of nature and spirituality. The rejection of cheap mass-produced/industrialized ceramics, and embracing the imperfections of each individual piece, knowing it was carefully crafted by some unknown craftsman with years of experience and skill (not saying Shoji Hamada was unknown, but he advocated & supported unknown artists) It all just reminds me so much of Usagi.

I wanted to explore more styles, like abstract/sculptural and what-not, but I think Usagi would be a functional potter. 100% (lowkey was thinking of making Leo have a more sculptural/abstract/handbuilding/intuition kind of style to contrast with Usagi but idk yet)

I’m still looking at different artists and their styles

(Btw, this would all take place in the rottmnt universe but it would be really interesting if it took place in the Edo period. Japan has such a rich history with pottery! Then I’d get to use Edo period type pottery which is also super fun, hmmmm . . .)

Imagine, Lucien starts living in the Day Court, visiting the human lands twice a month to catch up with Jurian and Vassa. Has tea with his mother every afternoon and goes hunting with his brothers every week as their starting to learn how to live without being under the thumb of Beron.

Imagine, Lucien finding his family again.

Imagine, a High lord meeting with Lucien in attendance.

Imagine, Tamlin sitting across from Lucien, stealing glances at him which Lucien pretends not to notice.

Imagine, Tamlin slipping Lucien a note as the meeting wraps up.

Imagine, it tells Lucien to meet Tamlin in the gardens outside in the night, hidden away from the rest of the Court.

Imagine, Lucien knows in his head he should forget what he and the Spring Lord once had and focus on what he does have now. But he can't forget, his heart won't let him forget, neither will the scars carved into his face, only there because of his now buried love for Tamlin.

Imagine, he goes. He finds Tamlin in the center of the gardens, his hands clasped behind his back, looking up at the silver moon, barely a sliver in the dark.

Imagine, Lucien approaches him. Imagine, they don't say a word. Imagine, Tamlin's finger's brush his shirt. Imagine, Lucien's fingers brush Tamlin's shoulder.

Imagine, Tamlin asks if he's happy. Imagine Lucien says yes.

Imagine, Tamlin smiles and tells him that is good. Imagine Lucien asks if he is happy.

Imagine, Tamlin's smile turns to a larger grin, and he says, I am now I know you are.

Imagine, their lips brush, a ghost of a kiss, nothing passionate or heated about it. A simple acknowledgement that what was once there is not entirely gone.

Imagine, Lucien says this can't last forever.

Imagine, Tamlin tells him he wants to try.
