I'm sorry, guys, it's yet another Hazbin Hotel card- I swear, I'll draw for another fandom. Soon. Probably. Anyway! Sad TV Cringelord, Vox himself, as the Page of Pentacles!

I had so much fun with this one, I must admit. Tarot meaning ranting under the cut, as well as the details!

When the Page of Pentacles appears upright in your tarot reading, you are excited about a new possibility- might it one of business, of hobby or even a new educational experience (perhaps the last extermination left hell in quite the favorable place for you to take over! Especially with a certain 1930s looking ass bitch gone.) It does not mean that you will be able to fulfil that new dream; it only means your are now bursting with the energy and the motivation to purchase it. You need to calm down, tho, and put in place a clear plan to achive it. You have to stay focused (which is usually not a problem to you, except for ONE (1) exception), keep your feet planted on the ground, and not get carried away (like you said to Val, right? Before going live to perform the most obvious and embarassing display of sheer absolute panic). You will only reach your goal by counting on your common sens and pragmatic approach.

You are also a person who thrives to discover new things, to always be on the latest discovery: you are always ready to level-up your skill (or the state of your freaking TV of a head). All of that acts as a source for your enthusiasm, and can only serve the project you're now working on.

Reversed, the Page of Pentacles can suggest that you are trying to get a specific project or idea of the ground, but each time you try, it seems to amount to nothing or takes you even further away from where you want to be (which is, you would agree, entirely the fault of fucking Alastor). Maybe you have not planned sufficiently, or maybe, juuust maybe, you are trying too hard. Let's just hope you, reader, are not trying too hard on live television, because that would be quite embarassing. You may also be too busy daydreaming about new goals without having taken any actions yet. Sure, it's great to sing and dance with your very discutable partner about how you're going to be sooo successful! But you have to actually commit to the actions, not just watching from behind your screen, to make your dreams a reality.

Finally, the Page of Pentacles Reversed invites you to learn from your past mistakes. Yes, Vox, it's been seven damn year! Turn the page! Learn from your past experience, ask yourself how to avoid making the same mistakes, and move on. Today's failures may lead to tomorrow's success.

As Thanksgiving (in the US) approaches, I thought I'd do some gratitude/thankfulness readings. Here is the first!

What area(s) of your life deserve more gratitude? The Moon rev.

The shadow parts of your life is an area that deserves more gratitude. “The Dark Side of the Moon” is the very first phrase I thought of. The phrase has been said in a couple different contexts. Most popularly is probably Pink Floyd’s album followed by Mark Twain’s quote, “Everyone is a moon. It has a dark side which he never shows anybody.” It is a concept on the mysterious and unknown parts of ourselves. The confusing parts of life that we have to unlayer. Everyone has a shadow self and this may be the sign to start exploring that.

What is the first step toward gratitude? Knight of Pentacles

Break from your routine (in this case, break away from your tendency to ignore the icky feelings you have) and embrace new methods of exploration. It is hard to open to our shadow selves. It can be tiring, take a lot of mental work, and it unveils realities we’re not always ready to handle. BUT, if we don’t start the work then we cannot make the shadows lighter. The answers are not always going to make you feel stable, but as someone who likely prefers plans & routines, you can do this exploration in a structured way. Create a list of shadow questions and answer one a day. Get a shadow work journal and decide how many pages to do a day. Find a way to implement the structure that you need so that the work doesn’t feel as heavy.

Why is it important? Ten of Swords

Finding the gratitude in the shadows is going to help release a lot feelings that you struggle to recognize/deal with. You’ll start becoming more comfortable with the negative feelings (sadness, frustration, anger, depression, etc.) and, while they won’t leave completely, you’ll understand them better and know why they’re presenting themselves. Exploring your shadow self can reveal a lot of answers and help us move forward.

What area(s) of your life deserve more gratitude? Queen of Wands

Your optimism deserves your gratitude! You an inherently positive person. You enjoy new things and being creative. You have a lot of ideas to share with others. You are focused on your own goals while also ensuring others’ are meeting their own. Since it is an inherent piece of you, I think it can be easy to forget to appreciate it. You don’t feel like it’s work to be optimistic because it’s just what you do. But you’re allowed to brag on yourself and be grateful you have this trait 😊

What is the first step toward gratitude? The Hermit

Your first step is as easy as some introspection and soul searching. Take some alone time to meditate, journal, or just look in the mirror. List the things that you love about yourself & your personality. Identify how your optimism brings beauty to the world around you. Simply identifying these things is a great way to show gratitude for yourself!

Why is it important? Nine of Wands

Persistence is the key word I want to take from this card. Naming your qualities and seeing for yourself the positivity you bring to people’s lives is going to help you continue to do it. After identifying these awesome things about yourself to yourself you’ll feel inspired to keep being yourself. Even as a positive person, you have some bad days. By doing this gratitude work, I think it will also make it easier to swing back from the bad days because you recognize the good you do for the world.

What area(s) of your life deserve more gratitude? Six of Pentacles & The Chariot

There are two things coming through here, but they also work side by side. Starting with the Chariot, an area of life that deserves more gratitude is your journey of successes. Sometimes we get focused on the big picture and if we’ve accomplished the final goal. Instead, we need to look at the small successes we’ve made along the way. You are absolutely on the right track, but you didn’t get there without taking important steps. Try to find a more objective point of view and outline all the little things you’ve done up to this point. Remind yourself that these things are just as important in your journey as the result. Then, with the Six, you may need to extend gratitude to those who have helped you along the way. I do not think you’re ungrateful by any means, but just like forgetting about the small steps, some smaller helpers have gotten lost along the way. As you reflect on the little goals, also reflect on who helped make those possible.

It sounds like identifying those people first is a good idea, even if it’s only for yourself right now. You are a very independent person and when you add the big goal to the equation, you can sometimes have a one track mind. Your support system doesn’t hold any animosity toward you but I really think they’ll feel good if you were to thank/appreciate them. The biggest step is recognizing that your goal isn’t only for you and isn’t only possible because of you.

Why is it important? Wheel of Fortune

Karma is the key word here friends! Acknowledging the folks in your circle will help solidify your relationship with them. Not only will they be more willing to help you with future goals, but they’ll also come to you for help with their own goals. Looking back at the Chariot, the reflection of your little successes is important because when you move onto new goals, you’re less likely to repeat mistakes AND  you’re more likely to bounce back from disappointments.

There are two separate areas of your life that could use some gratitude: Your independent nature & your “failures.” The independence messages are coming for two types of people: (a) those who never give it a second thought and (b) those who feel they’re judged for being more solitary. Being independent can be a great thing. It brings a level of unbiased judgement, you can think from logical angles, and it has allowed you to set boundaries. If you are the person who never really thinks about, start! You don’t have to spend a lot of time or energy, but take a few minutes to outline the cool things that being independent brings to your life. Sometimes just laying it out in front of ourselves can be refreshing and inspiring. If you are the person who has anxiety about being “too independent”, stop 😉 jk, I know it’s not that easy. You may want to spend some more in-depth time exploring yourself and answering “why do I feel anxious about it?”. Then, remind yourself why it can be a really good thing. It doesn’t mean you DON’T appreciate other people. It just means you’re independent.

Then, as I mentioned, try to show some gratitude to your failures. Similarly to group 1, looking at your shadow self can be a good step in starting the process of gratitude. It may feel silly or you may think “that just means I’m telling my failures that it’s okay to fail.” Well… that’s right. It IS okay to fail. Just because you fail something doesn’t make YOU a failure.  

What is the first step toward gratitude? Two of Cups

Generally, the two of cups is about a relationship between two people. I think in this case, it is about the relationship with yourself. Explore the relationship you have between your light self and your shadow self. Explore your values and how you present them to the world. Take your independent characteristics and show yourself the areas of your life that they comes in handy. Trust yourself and appreciate what you bring to the table.

Why is it important?  Judgement rev.

Taking these steps toward gratitude will ease self-doubt and quiet the inner critic. For person (a), it will help to solidify the confidence you have in your independence. For person (b), it will help to ease the feelings of self-doubt and make your critic a bit quieter. Showing these elements to yourself will also help with gaining self-confidence which will make “failures” feel less heavy. It will be easier to say, “Okay, that sucked but I don’t suck”.
