Heeheeeee how fun! Smiles all around.
Personality - I'm an aquarius sun and a leo rising. That translates to: I am deep in my thoughts and innovative with my solutions. My outside is entertaining and personality personality personality!!! Everything can be a presentation or a show. Perhaps in perfect harmony, my career goal is to be a drama therapist.
I love reading folklore and mythology of other cultures besides my own (white english). Currently enjoying Hindu mythology.
I love to curl up and play video games, and I love to embrace my geeky side. I also enjoy deep conversations with people. I tend to think that everyone has the best of intentions, even if they're doing something shady - they're just protecting themselves or doing what they were trained to do to survive.
I prefer cats over dogs.
I read fiction over nonfiction. And fantasy or classics over modern day explorations.
Yen Ori'ken's Valentine's Day Matchmaking Services
Yen: What a lovely profile, @madameminor! Thank you for sending it in.
I believe your best match this Valentine's Day is ...
Tumblr media
Clone Medic Kix, of the 501st Legion. Kix is calm and collected, but his passion often shows through. He cares deeply for his brothers, feeling their wellbeing is his responsibility. While he isn't as loud or ostentatious as some other 501st troopers, he can definitely keep up with them. But he does tend to be more introspective than the others.
Kix can and absolutely will meet your extroverted and lively personality. You won't ever have to feel like you're carrying the show OR being carried - Kix is an equal partner kind of man. He loves seeing you light up about what you're interested in and he'll match your excitement. He is also incredibly soft over your outlook on life and people. That positivity is something he tries to carry with him.
He's also someone safe to share your quieter, deeper thoughts with. He loves that you study culture the way he studies medicine. I imagine the two of you will have more than enough to talk about on your date, and I pity anyone who tries to interrupt or catch your attention (you'll be too deep in conversation to even notice).
I think a classic date night will serve you two the best - dinner at a nice restaurant, you two dressed to impress, then dancing (NOT at 79s, though. Kix should know better to take you to a nicer club).
I hope you enjoy your Valentine's Day date with Kix, and thank you again for writing in!

I have a request if you’re feeling up for it :)
I wanted to know what each clone’s S/O does to get them flustered? 🤔 like all blushy, stuttering, etc? Is it words from their S/O? Light touches?(ticklish, sensitive, etc) I was in a fluffy mood and you are a good writer. I shall pay you in llamas pls & thank u ✨🦙 🦙🦙🦙
Ooh hard to pass up a deal for llamas. But first I need to know, are they smelly? Do they get along with cats? And can they survive on a small apartment balcony?
Tumblr media
Cody, Wolffe, and Wrecker melt over sweet and kind gestures. Gentle touches are a big one. It sends such pleasant tingles across their skin and they cannot comprehend how they could possibly deserve such softness. Another is being taken care of, such as their armor being cleaned or being cooked a nice meal. They won't be able to find the words to express how such acts make them feel.
Tup, Dogma, and Thorn will be flushed, stuttering messes over just about anything. Seriously, any kind of attention goes straight to their hearts without a fight, and comes spilling over in the most frazzled and adorable of ways. We're talking compliments, being thanked, brushing arms as they move by, seeing their S/O blush... These three are immediately red as a tomato and utterly helpless.
Hardcase, Tech, and Mayday would need it laid on them real thick before they're even aware. Simple brushes of the hand won't do the trick, they need their head caressed in both hands. Sweet words or silly pet names? No, they need to be taken aside, looked in the eye, and told just how handsome or strong they are. Then they'll start stuttering and blushing.
Fox, Rex, and Echo will get worked into a tizzy any time their S/O shines the spotlight on them in public. Behind closed doors, they are totally fine hearing compliments, holding them close, being doted on. But around others, they cannot function with that attention. It's not even out of embarrassment or anything; the gestures just hit them that much deeper when they're on display.
Fives, Jesse, and Crosshair aren't too easily thrown off their game, but there is one simple thing that will make their brains short circuit: their S/O's smile. They dream about that smile. It is the single most dazzling, beautiful, perfect thing they have ever seen in their entire lives, and it will make them seize up and swoon, without fail, every single time.
Kix, Hunter, and Gregor are more likely to be flustered over things that are... uh, less than innocent, shall we say. They don't bat an eye at the fluffy stuff. It's still enjoyable, don't get them wrong, but they won't be turning pink just by holding hands. No, their blushes only come out when touched teasingly elsewhere, or at suggestive turns of phrase, or even at flirty winks.

Mistletoe Mishaps Fives x Reader
A/N: So this fic is kinda stupid and was based off of a tumblr post that I can no longer find, but I hope that you guys enjoy it anyways! I have been meaning to post a holiday themed fic but just have not had the motivation to write the one that I had in mind so I hope this one is alright for now! Enjoy! ( @captainrexisboo this is the fic I was talking about)
Length: ~1800 words
Warnings: none :) just shenanigans and fluff
“Are you sure?” You and Fives had stopped just outside of the 501st barracks. “I wouldn’t want to get in the way of you spending the holidays with your brothers.”
Fives softly smiled at you and took your hand. “Cyare, its going to be fine. I know you’re nervous, but we celebrate just like everyone else in the galaxy does.” He smiled and gave you a light kiss on your forehead. “Plus, the boys love you almost as much as I do. You’re family and we want you with us.”
You let out a sigh, clearing your mind and felt Fives give your hand a reassuring squeeze. “Alright,” you said with a smile. “Let’s get out of the cold and have some fun.”
Fives’ face lit up as he began pulling you the rest of the way toward the entrance to the barracks. “You’re going to love it Cyare! Echo makes the best hot coco, and this is the only time of year you will see Rex convince Cody to wear civies on the base!”
Giggling at Fives enthusiasm, you quickened your pace until you were at the door. Fives opened it and held it for you as the warm light from the party inside spilled onto the snowy ground. You stepped inside and felt the chill from the wind already begin to disappear.
“Y/N!” You heard your name said cheerfully from all over the room as everyone turned to smile at you.
“Glad you could make it,” Rex said as he walked up to you with a cup of hot coco in his hands. “Its so good to see you!”
You took off your coat and hung it up before turning to give Rex a hug. “Thanks for having me,” you said with a smile. “It’s nice to see all of you again.”
“Of course!” He looked around before leaning and whispering to you. “Plus, you being here makes Fives more likely to behave.”
You and Rex chuckled before turning to walk further into the party with him and Fives.
You look around the room to see members of the 501st and 212th laughing and having fun. All of them are wearing civilian clothes with some of them wearing holiday sweaters. Echo is standing in the back near the tree that the 501st had smuggled in talking to Tup and Dogma. You see Echo finish saying something before they all begin to laugh. Dogma was unfortunate enough to be taking a drink of his coco at the same time and accidentally spills it on himself before he starts coughing and Echo and Tup start laughing harder.
You hear a frustrated yell come from the Sabacc table before looking over to see a very pleased Kix gathering up the pot from the middle as Boil throws his cards down. Waxer pats Boils arm and Cody chuckles before holding his hand out to Wooley and Obi-Wan who both begrudgingly hand him a few credits.
You saw that Cody and Obi-Wan were wearing matching 212th colored sweaters before turning to Rex. “So, how angry was Cody when he found out you got them matching sweaters without him knowing?”
Rex followed your eyes over to Cody and laughed. “Oh, he was pretty pissed at me at first but warmed up to the idea when General Kenobi complimented him on it. I could feel his face heating up from across the room.”
You laughed and kept taking in the scene around you. There were lights and decorations covering the walls and tables set up all around the room with different kinds of fun things to do. There was a long table near the door to the kitchen that was covered in food that Jesse and Hardcase were mingling around. They looked like they were up to something, but you shook it off as them just having fun with their time off.
You took a deep breath in and could smell the hot coco that Echo had made wafting in from the kitchen door. You looked toward the kitchen, thinking about getting some when you saw that mistletoe had been hung from the top of the frame. You smiled and reminded yourself to drag Fives over there at some point before you felt his hand on your back.
“Do you want some hot chocolate cyar’ika? I’m on my way over there,” Fives asked with a tender smile.
You gave him a small kiss on the cheek. “Sure! That would be great!”
He began walking toward the kitchen before you motioned to it with your head. “So, are some of the others partners coming tonight? Is that why you guys put mistletoe up?”
Rex gave you a confused look. “Hmm?” He followed your eyes toward the kitchen and his face loosened up. “Oh, you mean the mistlefoe? I’d steer clear of that if I were you,” he said chuckling before taking a sip of his coco.
Your eyes went wide in surprise. “I’m sorry. The what?”
“You know? Whoever gets caught under it with another person has to fight them before someone yields? It’s a holiday tradition for us to hang one up somewhere and to—”
 “AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!”
You looked over and saw Jesse barreling toward Fives in the kitchen doorway before tackling him to the ground and moving to put him into a headlock. Fives eyes widen before he reaches up and grabs onto Jesse, throwing him onto the ground. Everyone in the room starts to either laugh or cheer as they begin wrestling with each other. Fives quickly gets behind Jesse and puts him in a light chokehold. Jesse starts squirming and trying to get out of it while Fives laughs and keeps him restrained. “Do you yield yet vod?!”
Jesse growls and tries to break free. “No!” He reaches up to try and get a grip on Fives. “I’m not going to let you win that easily!”
They are both breathing heavily as they squirm around on the floor. Fives mischievously laughs. “Ha! Well, that’s too bad vod cause I’m not going to let you go until you yield!” He tightens his grip slightly as Jesse keeps struggling to break free.
About a minute goes by and you see Jesse start to get tired before he stops trying to break free. “Fine,” he huffs out. “I yield.”
Cheers erupt around you and you see a few of the men around you exchanging credits with each other. Fives lets go and pushes himself to his feet before helping Jesse up. “You sure as hell surprised me vod,” he said as he affectionately punched Jesse in the shoulder before giving him a handshake. “I’ll give you that.”
Jesse rolled his eyes and smiled before walking back over to a wheezing Hardcase and whacking him upside the head.
Fives turned to you and gave you a wink and a smile before going back to get the coco he was originally after.
You started laughing and brought your hand up to your face.
 Rex chuckles. “What’s so funny?”
You keep laughing. “It’s just, that’s not exactly what I thought that was going to be for.”
“What did you think it was for if not that?”
You shake your head and lightly laugh. “Well, usually the mistletoe is hung up over a doorway and whoever is caught under it has to kiss the other person. That’s why I asked about your guys’ partners.”
Rex starts laughing into his mug while Fives walks up with your coco.
He pushes it into your hands and gives you a confused look. “What’s so funny?”
You take a sip of your coco and smile as you get an idea. “I’ll tell you later.”
 *******************************************************************************************
The party had been going on for a couple of hours now, and everything was starting to wind down. Presents had been exchanged as well as a couple more punches in the doorway to the kitchen. You had talked with everybody at the party and your sides had hurt from laughing too much at least ten times that night.
With everything calming down, it began to get a bit quieter and the sounds of light conversations were drifting through the air.
You had just finished a conversation with Kix and were looking around for Fives. You saw him standing over at the window looking out at the snow while sipping on hot chocolate. He had his left hand in his pocket while the right was holding his cup.
You walked over to him and sild your hand down his arm until he took his hand out of his pocket and grabbed yours. You rested your head on his shoulder and looked out the window with him.
 “What are you thinking about?”
Fives hummed and gave your hand a light squeeze. “Just how I wish things could be like this all the time.”
You looked up at him. “What do you mean?”
“I mean… All of us together having a good time. Not having anything to worry about. Plus, I don’t like being away from you as long as I am most of the time.”
You sighed and squeezed his hand before pulling him into a hug. “I don’t like being away from you either and I wish that things could be like this all the time too, but I know one thing that you’ll never have to worry about.”
He set his cup on the windowsill and wrapped his arms around you. “And what’s that?”
You smiled into his chest as he put his head on top of yours. “You’ll never have to worry about me not being here for you when you get back.” You lightly squeezed him. “You will never be rid of my love no matter how hard you try.”
You heard his voice reverberate throughout his chest as he chuckled.
The two of you stood there holding each other for a few minuets before you mischievously smiled. “Hey,” you said as you gently pushed him away. “I have something that might take your mind off of this stuff.”
He perked up and nodded, urging you to continue.
“Want to know what Rex was laughing at earlier?”
He watched you questioningly as you reached into your pocket and pulled out the mistletoe you had stolen from the kitchen doorway. You held it up above your head and gave him a smirk as he looked at you, completely lost.
You chuckled and rolled your eyes before you grabbed onto his sweater and pulled him into a kiss. He squealed in surprise before melting into the kiss. He brought his right hand up to hold your chin while his left hand snaked around your waist to pull you closer.
You pulled apart and looked up at his smiling face. “So, what do you think of my holiday tradition?”
He smirked and looked up like he was musing over it. “I think,” he said as he pulled you closer against him, “I want to do it again.”
He brought his hand up to cup your cheek as you smiled and leaned in to press another kiss to his lips. Smiling the whole time.

A regretful Wolf and his Beauty
Chapter Thirteen
Beast!Rex x Fem!reader
Summary: As punishment for his actions, young prince Rex was cursed to become a monster by a witch. The only thing that saved him from his fate was an enchantress, who gave him a condition. He has to find true love in order to redeem himself and he only has until the last petal of the enchanted rose falls. Rex's family helps you by guiding your way into his heart. Rex's fate now lies in your hands.
Warnings: panic attack, slavery, self hatred.
A/N: This is a collaborative fic with @ahsokatano-thetogruta. This chapter is a long one.
“Stutter?”
Stutter jumps at the sound of his name, looking up towards exactly where the sound came from. It was your voice. You sit up and swing your legs over the edge of the bed. Stutter tries to float again, but he's too tired, so instead he shuffles himself away from you and leans up and presses back against the wall away from your bed, whimpering. “Hey, it's alright.” You tell him with a soothing voice.
“P-Please, don't h-h-hurt m-me.” He starts sobbing hard again, wanting to curl up, but being a paintbrush makes it difficult. “I'm not going to hurt you Stutter.”
His breathing rapidly increases as another one of his panic attacks hit him. Some time ago, you read a book on basic medical studies. You thought that if you want to be a great knight, you need to know the basic medical skills. “Stutter? Stutter, I need you to concentrate on your breathing, okay?” He gives you a tiny nod in response. “Here, breathe with me.” you take slow, deep breaths, noticing that he's trying his best to copy what you're doing.
You get out of bed, still feeling weak but not as bad as when Rex found you. You ate some soup a few minutes ago so you’re stronger. You walk over to the tiny paintbrush, sitting down against the wall beside Stutter. “There you go, keep breathing. It’s okay.” You reach your hands out, stopping right in front of Stutter. “Is it okay if I pick you up?”
“O-Ok.” As soon as Stutter says that you gently wrap your hands around him, picking him up and placing Stutter in your lap. He’s shaking like a leaf, but breathing better. “Shh, it’s okay Stutter. You’re okay, shh.” Stutter sobs, flying up and cuddling into your chest.
You softly rub his back with two of your fingers, doing your best to soothe him. You can tell just by his voice that he's young, and you hate to hear a kid cry. You both sit like that for a good twenty minutes until Stutter's sobs turn into whimpers and sniffles.
"Are you okay?" You ask quietly, trying not to startle him. Stutter looks up at you, nodding. "Y-Yeah."
You smile kindly at him. "Can you tell me what happened? Take as much time as you need." Stutter thinks about it, trying to figure out if he should trust you or not. You wait patiently for him to decide, you can sense the unease and fear around him.
"Okay, R-Rex y-y-yelled at m-me." Your eyebrows furrow, from what you've seen of Rex, he cares for his brothers. You've never seen or heard him yell at them. Ever. "Why would he yell at you?"
Stutter sniffles, he almost starts crying again. "I a-accidentally broke a p-picture f-f-frame w-with a p-p-painting of h-his p-parents. I d-d-didn't mean t-to, b-b-but he y-yelled at m-me."
“Oh Stutter, it's alright. If you didn't do it on purpose, he might not have meant to lash out at you like he did. You seem like a really nice person, I don't see why anyone would want to shout at you.” You give him a sympathetic smile, feeling a spark of happiness in the force coming from Stutter, but then he sighs a little. “A-After my m-m-mother d-died a few d-days after I-I was b-b-born, m-my father a-a-and b-b-brothers would a-a-abuse me, m-mentally a-and p-p-physically.” You feel fear at his words, thinking that they are the brothers that he lives within the castle now. “Your brothers here in the castle? But they all seem so kind.”
Stutter is confused for a moment, until he realises who you thought he was talking about. “O-Oh, no. Both R-Rex and h-h-his b-brothers are t-technically m-my c-c-cousins, but I t-think of R-Rex and h-his brothers a-as m-m-my brothers, because a-about thirteen years a-a-ago, they had r-rescued m-me from m-my p-p-previous family. I-It took m-me a-a-a while t-to trust e-everyone, though it's s-s-still difficult now, e-especially when I-I meet new p-p-people.”
“I hope I don't intimate you Stutter. If I ever make you feel uncomfortable, you can always let me know.” You smile kindly at the paintbrush who snuggles into you a bit more, happy that you have listened to him get his worries off of his chest. “I-I feel t-t-that I c-can trust you. Y-You are v-very nice.”
His kind compliment makes you smile wider, your heart filled with happiness. You wouldn't get many compliments back at the village apart from your father and the librarian “That's... That's very kind of you to say. Thank you, Stutter.” Stutter hums a little in response, feeling a lot better than he was earlier. He no longer felt like he was going to break down. A moment later, the bedroom door swings open and you both look up, seeing Obi Wan and Cody who both look like they have been rushing around.
“Stutter, there you are. We’ve been looking everywhere for you, Vod’ika.” Cody tells him, sounding relieved. You smile. “It’s okay, he’s been with me for a while.” Cody shuffles over to you both, followed by Obi Wan. “You okay, Stutter?”
“Y-Yeah, I’m f-f-fine C-Cody. S-Shiny h-h-helped me.” Obi Wan turns his helmet towards you, and Cody shuffles around to look at you. “Thank you for helping him, you didn’t have to do that, especially after how we treated you and your father.” You smile kindly.
“It’s fine, you all have already apologized for what happened. And my father had hurt your brother, I can see where Rex would get protective. Besides, who could say no to such a cute little paintbrush.” You smile at Stutter, as Cody and Obi Wan chuckle, they’re happy that you bonded with Stutter.
“I’m s-s-sorry, Cody. I d-didn’t mean to m-make R-R-Rex mad.” Cody wishes that he could pull Stutter into a hug. “You don’t have to be sorry, Stutter. It was an accident. I’m sure that Rex’ika didn’t mean to yell at you.” You stifle a laugh, you don’t know very much mando’a, but you know that ‘Ika’ means little. “I-I know, w-w-where is h-he? I w-want to t-talk to h-h-him.”
Obi Wan sighs. “We don’t know, he ran after he yelled at you. He felt really bad for Stutter, I could feel it in the force.” You feel bad for them, and Rex. You are positive that it was an accident. You try to stand, wobbling a little, but Obi Wan grabs and steadies you. “Let’s go find him then.”
“What! Miss Shiny, you are still hurt.” You glare at the desk. “I’m fine, and it’s just Shiny. Now let’s go.” You walk out, carrying the paintbrush with you. Cody sighs. “Her and Rex are made for eachother.” Cody whispers to Obi Wan, making sure that you won’t hear him. “Definitely.” Obi Wan agrees, then they both follow you and Stutter out, moving as fast as they can to catch up to you.
xxx
“Rex, come on out please.” Kix has a worried face and so does Jesse. “NO!” Rex's response makes the two of them frown at each other.
“I have an idea.” Jesse whispers to Kix, who nods back at him. “Okay, what is it?” Without telling him, he unfolds himself out from a little man so he is now just a sheet of paper. Jesse slips through the slight gap underneath the door and into the room that Rex has locked himself into.
You, Stutter, Obi Wan and Cody all see Kix floating outside a door. “Kix, have you found Rex yet-”
“LEAVE ME ALONE!!” The loud, growly voice makes Stutter jump in your arms, but you can sense that he isn't as frightened when he is being held. Jesse slips back out from under the door, quickly folding himself back into a man and a slightly annoyed look. “No luck?” Kix asks?
Jesse shakes his head and sighs. “No…” You all feel slightly bad for him. His reaction was out of his control, and once he had yelled at Stutter, he knew that the damage had been done and could not be taken back. He hurt his Vod'ika, Stutter, so he'll never forgive himself.
Cody calls out to him comfortingly. “Rex'ika, it's alright. We know you didn't mean to yell at Stutter. You were angry and you weren't thinkin-”
“That doesn't matter! I still hurt his feelings…” Rex ends up whining at the end of his sentence, his ears pressing back at the thought of what happened. You feel bad for him, hearing the sadness in his voice “Rex, we're not mad. Even Stutter is here to make sure you are okay.”
“Shiny?” Rex is surprised to hear your voice. He didn't realize that you would be here, but instead thought that you'd be back in your room getting some rest. “Yes, could you come out please?” There's only silence as a response.
After some thought, you turn to the others. “Maybe I should talk to him alone.” You suggest quietly. They all nod. “That might be best, it might be because we were there when...you know.” Cody whispers and you nod, knowing what he means. Rex doesn't want anyone to see him that watched him yell at Stutter.
“Thank you, here Obi Wan. Could you take Stutter for me please?” You hold out the paintbrush towards the suit of armor. “Of course, Shiny.” Obi Wan nods as he gently takes Stutter into his arms. “We'll leave you to talk to him.”
“Thank you, Obi Wan. All of you as well, thank you.” They all nod at you as they leave until it's only you in the hallway standing just outside Rex's door. “Rex? It’s just me out here, can we talk?” You listen, but don’t hear anything. You sigh, walking over to the door and sitting with your back against it.
“I know that you didn’t mean to yell at Stutter, you were just frustrated right?” You still have no answer from him, making you sigh, again. “You know, I understand what it’s like to get frustrated and yell. Believe me, I’ve yelled at my Papa a few times from frustration.”
“You have?” You can barely hear the whisper, but you feel happy that he’s finally talking. “Yeah, a few times. It happens to everyone, now can you let me in so that we can talk face to face?” You wait, then hear footsteps come to the door and the click of the lock, then the footsteps walk away again.
You open the door, as soon as you walk in you see Rex sitting against the far wall. You walk towards him, sitting cross legged right beside him to his right. He turns to you with wide eyes full of surprise. You turn and offer him a comforting smile. “It's nice to talk to you face to face, Rex.”
"Why would it be nice?" Confusion fills you, you don't understand what he means. "Why wouldn't it be nice?" Rex's ears press back against his head tight, you don't know why you find it cute?
“Because... because I look like a monster. Isn't it obvious? And I yelled at Stutter too, he's probably feeling so scared right now.” You place a hand gently on his forearm. Rex flinches at the sudden touch as he looks down at you, seeing your comforting smile. “Stutter's okay, Rex. He had run to my room, so we talked for a little while, until Obi Wan and Cody had found us. That's when they told us that Kix and Jesse had gone to find you.”
“I see… was he talking about me?” a little whine escapes him as he thinks about the question, thinking that Stutter told you about how Rex yelled at him. You feel Rex's thoughts. “Yes, he told me about what happened earlier, but he was also saying about how you saved him from his abusive father and brothers.”
Rex's ears perk up. " He told you about that?" You nod. "Yeah, he told me about how he was abused. I'm happy that he has people like you and your brother's now."
Rex feels a small smile come to his face. "I remember the first time I ever saw Stutter, he was only about a day old. Me and my Aunt were close, she was one of the nicest people I had ever met. She invited my family over to her house to meet Stutter, I was the first one to go in. He was so tiny, and I held him in my arms, even then I felt that he was more of a brother then a cousin."
You listen to Rex's story, it's starting to change the way you thought about him. You originally thought that he was just a cruel monster, then a lonely cursed man. Now you aren't sure what to think, Rex continues on with the story. “Stutter would never have deserved to keep living with his horrible father and brothers, that's when me and my brothers took him in as our own brother, to give him a better and safer life. He…he would always get shouted at, and that's why I feel so horrible after what happened earlier, because I brought back to him all of those awful memories that cause him so much pain.” Rex takes a deep breath to hold back his tears. “I just want Stutter to be safe and feel loved, because that's what he deserves.”
“Oh Rex, Stutter knows that you want that for him, he truly does. He knows now that you didn't mean to yell at him like you did.” Rex smiles at your reassuring words, thankful for your help by talking to him. “Thank you, Shiny. I'm glad to hear that he's okay.” You nod and smile.
“You're welcome. What would you like to do now? Sitting here all by yourself may not help you, so I'm happy to stay with you if you'd like?” You let a minute of silence pass, allowing Rex to think clearly about what to do next. He breathes in quickly and deeply, letting it out slowly. “I think I'll go and see the others now.”
You nod as the both of you stand up, though your legs still feel a little weak. Rex notices and steadies you as you begin to wobble, afraid that you might fall otherwise. “Thank you, Rex. I guess I should rest some more, huh.” you let out a little nervous chuckle as he gives you a small smile. “That might do you more good than walking around. I'll help you there if you'd like?”
You appreciate the kind gesture “That would be great, thank you.” gently, he helps you off of the ground and you hold onto his right arm, securly. “Are you okay?” Rex's thoughtfulness warms your heart, making you grin a little.
“Yeah, I'm okay. Let's go.” You both walk out of the room and into the hallway. Thankfully your room isn't too far away, so at least it means that you get to rest sooner. Meeting everyone here, including Rex, has made you happy. They are all so kind to you. Even though the first few days here at the castle were rough, you've left those behind you and just enjoy talking to the others you've met, and of course helping Stutter.
“Um, Shiny? D-Do you like the feel of my fur?” You look up at Rex a little confused.
You realise that you've been playing with the fur on his arm. “Oh, sorry. I'm sorry if it made you uncomfortable, I didn't mean to. I guess I got a bit lost in thought.”
“No need to be sorry, I don't mind at all. To be quite honest, it feels nice.” Rex shows a promising but nervous smile. He finds that he likes you, not love or anything of the sort, but as hopefully a… friend.
Rex knows that he treated you pretty badly the first few days, but he hopes that you could forgive him. Even if you're not the one to break the curse. You smile at Rex and continue to play with his fur a little, you then look at his arm and notice a patch of fur, as white as snow. “What’s this?”
Rex chuckles when he realises what you are asking about. “That’s from my brother Fives, it was a few hours after I was turned into… this. Fives, Echo, Stutter and Fives' friend Kiara all decided to do a group hug with me, but he had forgotten to put his candles out. So my fur lit on fire and I got burned, it healed quickly but when the fur grew back it was white.”
You chuckle at the story. “Fives must have felt bad, from what I’ve met of him he seems like a sweetheart.” Rex nods. “He is, but he’s also a prankster sometimes. Him and Echo have gotten into all kinds of trouble over the years.” You nod, smiling again as the two of you arrive at your room. Rex walks you in and helps you to your bed, you both sit down.
“I bet they thought it was worth it though?” you laugh, making Rex laugh too. “Yes, especially Fives. He loves to make trouble, but they are both my brothers, so I'll always love them for who they are.” Rex smiles, but he feels a stab at his heart, remembering the night of the curse, how he yelled at the two of them for pranking him. “You okay, Rex?” He feels your hand on his shoulder. You feel his pain in the force.
“Yeah, everything's fine.” You raise an eyebrow, you know that everything isn’t fine. “Do you want to talk about it?” Rex shakes his head no, and you don’t push. “Okay, you don’t have to. So are Fives and Echo twins? They act like it but it’s kind of hard to tell… “ Rex chuckles.
“Yeah, they don’t look very alike right now, but when we were human you could hardly tell the two apart. Although their personalities are vastly different.” You chuckle again. “They are both very sweet, and Fives is fun to talk to.”
“Yeah, I also have a younger sister, Ahsoka, she’s fourteen now. I’m sure you’d love her, she wants to be a knight someday, but it’s hard for her to train with what she was turned into.” You look at him, confused. “What was she turned into?”
“She was turned into a music box, or technically the figure on top. When we were all transformed for the first time, Ahsoka looked so much older than she actually was. She doesn't look like she's aged a day.” Rex frowns a little “It's been difficult for her with not being able to train to become a knight. On the night of the curse, Ahsoka had comforted me when I needed it most, despite how scary I looked to her. She's very brave and strong, willing to help others whenever she can.”
“She sounds like a wonderful girl, that's so kind of her to help you. I can't imagine how difficult it was for you and her, along with  everyone else, on that day. I can't wait to meet her.” you give Rex a toothy smile, and he gives you one in return. “Y'know, you and your family are the most new people, who don’t call me odd, I’ve ever met.”
Rex frowns at that, you haven’t met that many of them. He doesn’t like how your village has treated you. “That’s not right, you’ll never be called odd here, Shiny.” a smile graces your face when Rex says that, you're happy that everyone here in the castle is so kind. Despite starting off on the wrong foot, you strongly believe that this is the start of a new friendship.
You suddenly start to feel sleepy again. “I'm going to rest some more now, if that's okay?” Rex gives you a smile “Of course, I'll leave you to rest up.” You nod and yawn in response, making him quietly hum happily. He stands and waits a moment more to make sure that you'll be okay on your own, then he turns and leaves your room. Something deep inside of him makes him want to stay with you, but he buries that feeling a little further down to conceal his feelings.
You stay sitting for a little while until you want to lie down for a bit. As you shuffle around on the edge of the bed, you hear a barking sound coming from the hallway. A dog? You think to yourself, but all that appears at your doorway is a small footstool prancing around. “Artoo! Come back here, Buddy!” You instantly recognize that voice as metal footsteps jog down the corridor. The footstool pads its way across the floor to you, then sniffs by your feet near the ground, yapping happily and jumping up onto the bed. Artoo pants and climbs onto your lap, lying down instantly. You chuckle. “Why hello there, little one.”
A suit of armor suddenly appears by the door, huffing out a sigh as he's finally able to catch up with Artoo. “Artoo, how are you so fast?” Anakin shakes his head, chuckling a little to see his dog lying in your lap while you pet him. “Anakin, it's good to see you. I'm guessing he's yours?”
“Yeah, I'm sorry if he's being a bother. Sometimes I wonder if he's still actually a puppy because of how fast and energetic he is. It's unbelievable.” Anakin sighs, Artoo just seems to have so much energy. You chuckle, petting the dog in your lap “He's no problem at all, he's so adorable. How old is he?”
“He is twelve now, but he'll be thirteen in December.” You smile as you continue to pet Artoo. “Well, he’s absolutely adorable.” Artoo barks, making you chuckle. Anakin walks over to you. “Do you mind if I sit beside you?”
You smile. “No, go ahead.” Anakin sits down beside you, you can hear the creak of his metal joints. “Do you mind if I ask a question about Rex?” Anakin turns to you. “Not at all, go ahead.”
“Has he always been the way he is, not him being a wolf, but I noticed that he has a little bit of a temper?” Anakin feels a little sad, remembering back to the times before the curse. “No, not always. It was ever since the curse happened. It changed him, not just physically, but he had gained a slight temper and been a little more... distant from us all.” Anakin doesn't really know how to describe the way that Rex has been feeling for the past twelve and a half years, but it has been rough. “Most days, he'll still blame himself for what happened, what we have all become. Everything that he did on Christmas day, Rex regrets it all. He says how it's his fault that everything happened, happened because of his behavior. Despite how Rex was kind enough to allow Ventress to take shelter from the cold, she still had the audacity to use her magic on him. On all of us.”
“I'm so sorry that this happened to all of you, none of you deserved this. Not even Rex.” Artoo whines a little, nuzzling Anakin's leg a little. “From what Stutter told me about his past as well, I can tell that Rex was kind. It's awful that someone could even want to do this to you all.”
“There are some very bad people out there, I know…” You can feel his sadness and some fear in the force coming from Anakin, noticing that he spaced out for a moment. “You alright, Anakin?”
“Yeah...yeah I'm okay. Just...remembering things is all.” without realizing it, Artoo had climbed over onto his lap, allowing Anakin to pet him. Anakin is glad that he's got his buddy with him to keep him calm and make him feel better through the difficult times. “Would you like to talk about it?”
Anakin freezes for a second, but then pushes his fear aside. “I...I was a slave as a child.” You look at Anakin. You knew that slavery existed in some places. “I’m so sorry, that must have been terrible.”
Anakin nods. “It was, my mother and I were both slaves. I was saved when I was nine by a knight, his name was Qui Gon Jinn. My mom wasn’t so lucky, I don’t even know if she’s still alive.” You can’t believe that Anakin went through that. “I’m sorry, I lost my mom when I was younger too. The plague had come to my old village, and my mother caught it. Me and my Papa had to leave her because of how contagious she was, we couldn’t even be there for her final days. I was six.”
“I’m so sorry, that must have been tough. The plague is such a horrible disease, I’m so sorry that you had to lose a loved one from that.” You smile at Anakin, and even though he doesn’t have a face, you can tell that he’s smiling as well. “You and Rex must be close, with the way you talk about him.”
Anakin nods, chuckling. “Yeah, we’re best friends. But it wasn’t always that way, I actually hated him when I was first brought to the castle.”
Sixteen and a half years earlier...
The blood and sweat stains his body. Images still flashing behind his eyelids when he tries to sleep. The torture leaving him with scars all over his body, especially his back, from the dreadful punishments that he deserved if he wasn't doing his job efficiently enough. Everyday would be a challenge, every second being on edge, losing sleep at night from the fear and terror. Him and his mother huddle together as close they can in their small cell, trying their best to ignore the restraints, chaining them to the wall.
Screams of dying men could be heard outside of the cell. Anakin squeezes his eyes shut at the sound of whipping and a sword clattering around. Anakin's mother holds him close as he sniffles and whimpers, scared of what has just happened. Suddenly, a suit of armor appears at the cell door. They hilt their sword and remove their helmet, crouching down to look closer at the fearful, unfortunate souls, who quake as they huddle impossibly closer together. They have shock collars around their necks, most likely used as punishment.
“It's alright now, I'm here to rescue you. My name is Qui Gon Jinn, I mean you no harm.” he sees the woman shoot a glare at him, unsure of whether to trust him or not. Qui Gon holds a hand out to the young boy. “I promise that I won’t hurt you, now how old are you, Little one?”
“I-I’m nine, my name is Anakin.” Qui Gon smiles, looking Anakin over. “Well, it’s very nice to meet you Anakin, and I’m guessing that this is your mother?” Anakin nods, and so does his mother. “I’m here to get the two of you out of here, now we have to move quickly, understand?”
Anakin and his mother nod. “We understand, you are really here to rescue us?” Anakin’s mother asks, she doesn’t dare to hope. Qui Gon nods. “Yes, I’m here to get you and your son away from here, miss…?”
“Shmi, Shmi Skywalker. And my son is Anakin Skywalker.” Qui Gon nods, smiling. Then he frowns. “Is there anyone else I need to get? Anakin’s father perhaps?” Shmi shakes her head with a frown, and Qui Gon can feel her unease in the force. “What is it?”
Shmi looks down at Anakin, then back up at the knight that was going to rescue them. “There was no father. I carried him, I gave birth, I raised him. I can't explain what happened.” Qui Gon looks inquisitively at Anakin. “Hm, interesting indeed. We’ll talk more about this once it’s safe, now we need to go.” Shmi nods, and both her and Anakin follow Qui Gon out of their cell. Neither of the two slaves can believe that they’re being rescued. It’s hard to traverse the small alley’s of their town once they get out of the small prison where slaves are kept, they all have to be quiet. Anyone who lives in the town of Tatooine is certainly a slaver.
“What are you doing!” Shmi, Anakin and Qui Gon turn to see a slaver coming towards them, both Anakin and Shmi cower, with Shmi wrapping her body protectively around Anakin. Qui Gon jumps into action, slicing the slaver down with his sword before he could warn anybody of their escape. He turns back to Shmi and Anakin. “I’m sorry that you had to see that,  but I couldn’t have the slaver alerting anyone of our presence.”
Shmi nods. “We understand, thank you.” Qui Gon nods to her with a smile, and the three continue on their way, Shmi covers Anakin's eyes as they walk by the body.
A little further on, the alleyways of the town are quiet and give good cover for the three of them to stay out of sight as much as they can. Qui Gon looks back to see Shmi getting tired and struggling to keep going while carrying Anakin. She is so exhausted from protecting her son on her own the best she could for all these years.
Qui Gon stops and looks at her. “Would you like me to carry Anakin for you?” Shmi's embrace around Anakin tightens around him protectively, but after a moment of thought, she nods and gently hands over the small boy. “Thank You, Qui Gon. Sorry for the trouble.”
Qui Gon shakes his head and smiles “Not at all, I'm here to help you, Miss Shmi.” They all continue to walk, entering the open areas of the street. They'll have to move quickly if they are to escape without any trouble. “Stay close to me.” Qui Gon says quietly to Shmi, who nods understandingly.
Slavers are everywhere, making sure that their slaves are working efficiently. Cracks of whips and sound of cries fill the air. Shmi can't wait to get out of here with her son, to finally live a safer and happier life-
Suddenly, a whip wraps around her leg and pulls her to the ground, making her shout in pain as she hits the floor. “Mama!!” Anakin screams as he sees his mother on the ground, making Qui Gon turn around to see her. The Zygerrian slaver only smirks as he grabs her by her hair, pulling her up and locking her arms behind her so she can't move. Her struggling only makes the slaver angry, so he puts a number into his wrist device and then presses a button, activating Shmi's collar and electrifying her. Screaming out in pain, Anakin starts to cry as he watches her struggle in the slaver's grasp.
Qui Gon takes a few paces towards the Zygerrian, but he's stopped when a few other slavers get in the way, pointing their weapons towards him. The electric collar is deactivated, leaving Shmi gasping for air. “Q-Qui Gon, get Anakin out of here, please!”
“No, Mama!” Anakin screams while holding out a desperate hand towards her, wanting her to hold him. “I love you, Ani. You're going to be safe now, this man will take good care of you.” Shmi looks pleadingly towards Qui Gon, who nods in return.
As the other slavers start walking towards him, Qui Gon turns and runs away with the wailing young boy in his arms. Tears stream down Shmi's face, being dragged away to another dark cell, this time with a guard there to ensure she won't escape again.
Qui Gon runs as fast as he can, feeling in the force that the slavers are catching up. Almost effortlessly, he jumps up onto a building and over the wall of the town, finally escaping. Qui Gon sighs, able to catch his breath. Anakin sobs into his armour, tears making it shine brightly in the light.
“Qui Gon!” a deep voice calls out from a carriage. He looks to see Plo Koon waving him over, so Qui Gon swiftly moves to go and sit down. Once in, Plo grabs the reins and commands the horses to gallop as fast as they can down the pathway and back to the castle.

Qui Gon helps Anakin out of the carriage when they arrive at the castle. “This is your new home, Anakin. I hope that you will like living here.” Anakin nods, he doesn’t want to speak at the moment, his mother is gone and there's a good chance that he’ll never see her again. Qui Gon walks Anakin in as Plo follows, both men can feel the sadness in the force from the boy. They walk to the throne room and see the king and queen immediately along with a few of their sons. The six year old twins, Echo and Fives are on the floor playing with their older brother Rex. “My king and queen. We only managed to save one slave from the town of tatooine. This is Anakin Skywalker, he’s nine years old.”
Qui Gon gently pulls Anakin forward from where he was hiding, Anakin doesn’t look up at them. He hates royals, they have everything while people like him and his mother get absolutely nothing.
“Oh, the poor boy. We’ll have to get that collar off of him as soon as possible.” Queen Daria tells them, her heart goes out to the young child standing before her. He’s only a year younger than her son Rex, it’s not right that he had to go through this. “Daria is right Qui Gon, the young lad can stay in the guest room next to Rex for tonight, so that we can be close by to help him out. Then we can find a more permanent placement tomorrow.”
Qui Gon nods. “It shall be done, king Rélíar. Why doesn’t young Rex show Anakin around, they are close in age, it might do them some good.” Rex looks at Anakin, offering a kind smile, but Anakin gives Rex a glare that makes Rex flinch. None of the adults notice at the moment. “That is a great idea, and remember that you don’t have to call me and my husband king and queen all the time, you can call us by our names. Now, go ahead and show young Anakin around, Rex.”
Rex nods at his mother. “Come along, Anakin.” Anakin huffs but follows Rex, he’s too scared of repercussions to say no. Rex shows Anakin all over the castle but Anakin remains silent, once they get to the room that is Anakins for the night, Rex turns to him. “Do you have a problem with me? Because I don’t think that I did anything to you, but if I did then please tell me. I promise that you won’t get in trouble.” Anakin growls. “Do you want to know what you did, you royals get everything while people like me get nothing. You’re probably a spoiled brat.”
Rex frowns. “I’m sorry that you feel that way, Anakin. But you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, me and my family haven’t gone through what you have, but we have had bad things happen to us.” Rex turns and leaves after that, leaving Anakin to his thoughts. He doesn’t believe Rex, Anakin has been lied to before.
A little while later Qui Gon walks in with some fresh clothes for Anakin. “Here you go, I thought that you might rather sleep in some fresh clothes. They are Rex’s so they might be a little big, but they should work for now. Tomorrow you can meet some of my fellow knights.” Anakin nods while Qui Gon sets the clothes on the bed. “You better get some sleep now Anakin, you have a big day tomorrow. Goodnight.” With that, Qui Gon closes the door, Anakin sighs and goes and changes his clothes. It’s been a while since he’s had clean ones to wear, once he finishes changing Anakin turns the light off and lays in bed.
Comfort and complete bliss surrounds him as he sinks into the soft mattress, pulling the comfy duvet over himself. He takes in a deep breath through his nose, smelling the freshness of the linen cover. As a slave, Anakin has never had any luxuries whatsoever. He never even knew anything like this even existed. It's like a dream. He lets out a yawn and feels his eyes begin to drift close, letting the comfort from the bed soothe him to sleep. Once his eyes are shut, he falls asleep almost instantly...
The shouting of orders and screaming of unfortunate slaves, heard throughout the town, filled Anakin's ears, leaving them painfully ringing. His mother is being taken away, so Anakin screams. When he does, not a single sound comes out. He tries again and again to scream for them to stop, but nothing's working. Shmi just smiles at him, being dragged away, blood covering her face and body, the scars from whips show in a bright red.
The final time he attempts to shout, his voice can be heard this time. Everything goes black and his eyes snap wide open, still screaming out. “Mama!!” Anakin sits up quickly, breathing rapid, fear consuming him.
His vision is slightly blurry, so he vigorously rubs at them, trying to rid his mind of the awful memories and pain he was put through. His face feels wet as he wipes his face, pulling his hand away to see some tears glistening in his palm. Light from the hallway seeps through the ajar door.
Anakin turns his head around to see a figure standing in the doorway. As the door opens more, it's clear to see who it is. A boy with short, blonde hair looks at Anakin with concern and worry clearly showing across his face.
Anakin turns back round, staring down at the sheets, his expression full of sadness and fear filling his heart that's still racing at a hundred miles an hour “What do you want?” Anakin snaps, trying to hide his sniffles and face the best he can. He wants so badly to cry, but he doesn't want to. Not in front of the prince anyway.
Rex winces slightly at the tone of voice, but he tries to ignore it and walks a little closer to Anakin. “Are you okay? You were screaming in your sleep.”
“I wasn't-” Anakin remembers the nightmare he had, he now just furrows his eyebrows with confusion. “But, I-I couldn't scream. I couldn't do anything…” Anakin shakes a little.
Rex frowns, sitting next to the boy and gently, hesitantly, places a hand on Anakin's back “Could you not hear yourself? You were screaming for someone to stop. You shouted "Mama" out as well. Was it a nightmare?”
Anakin faces the prince now sitting next to him, his eyes welling up with tears, eventually spilling out and rolling down his face. Anakin sobs again, shocks of pain and fear coursing all through Anakin's small body. Rex worries for him and pulls Anakin gently into him. The small boy falls defeatedly into Rex, feeling like his whole world is crumbling down around him.
He lost his Mother, got rescued from the slavers and now he's in a royal castle. It's been a lot to take in during such a short period of time, he's not sure he can handle it alone, but how do you ask someone for help? Especially when they are royalty. All Anakin can think about is how much Rex and his family wouldn't care for him, he's only a slave after all.
“Shh. It’s okay, Anakin. I’m here, you can tell me about your nightmare.” Rex does his best to comfort Anakin, he had heard his mom and dad talking about what had happened to Anakin. Rex hates slavers.
“I… I don’t want to talk about it.” Anakin whispers, and Rex nods in understanding. He lets go of Anakin now, the two boys sitting on the edge of the bed. “Okay, do you want to talk about something else? What were your friends like from where you’re from?” Anakin looks down at the ground. “I… I don’t have any friends.”
Rex frowns, then he smiles at Anakin. “Well, you do now.” Anakin looks up at Rex, eyes wide with surprise. “What? But I'm just a slave.” Rex looks at Anakin, confusion evident in his expression. “So, what does that matter?”
Anakin looks at Rex. “But I was mean to you, I called you a spoiled brat.” Rex gives Anakin another comforting smile. “Yeah, but I don’t blame you. Some royals are spoiled brats, but not all of us, and I think that we could be good friends. If you want to be my friend.” Anakin nods shyly, making Rex shine a bright smile. Anakin then frowns.
“I… I’ve never slept alone before, Rex. I’ve always had my mom, can I maybe sleep with you?” Rex smiles kindly at Anakin, then a thought hits him. “Yeah, of course. But I was thinking that we could go cuddle in with my older brother Cody, and his boyfriend Obi Wan. They are the best at offering comfort after a nightmare, if you’re okay with that?” Anakin nods shyly. “If Obi Wan and Cody don’t mind.”
“I’ll go ask them, you wait here Anakin.” Anakin nods, and Rex runs out of the room. He runs down the hall to Cody’s room, Rex already knows that Obi Wan will be in there, he sneaks in so much that he pretty much lives there. Rex knocks on his older brother's door. The door opens and a grumpy looking Cody looks down at Rex. “What do you need, Rex’ika? It’s the middle of the night.” Rex looks up at Cody. “Anakin, the kid that knight Qui Gon saved, he had a nightmare and needs comfort. And I told him that you and Obi Wan are the best at providing comfort.”
Rex hears a groan as Obi Wan pads over. “What’s going on?” He asks, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. “Well, Rex’ika said that the new kid, Anakin, had a nightmare and needs comfort. Seems that we were recommended as being the best at that.” Obi Wan chuckles, looking down at Rex. “Why don’t you go get him, Rex. I’ve been wanting to meet young Anakin since Qui Gon told me about him. And we do give the best comfort in the castle.” Obi Wan coos, nuzzling Cody's cheek with his nose lovingly. Rex smiles, running back to Anakin’s room to grab him.
Anakin is still sitting on his bed where Rex left him, waiting patiently for the older boy to return. His sobs had subsided, now there are only quiet sniffles. “Hey Anakin.” The young boy looks a little anxious at Rex, afraid that he won't be allowed to cuddle and sleep with them. “Can we go and sleep with them?” Anakin clenches the bed sheets in his hand softly, trying to keep himself calm.
Rex nods, smiling. “Yes, of course we can. Obi Wan can't wait to meet you either.” Anakin looks surprised “R-Really? No one's ever really wanted to see me, unless it was a slaver who-- nevermind, I-I look forward to meeting him too. And your brother, Cody.” Anakin feels a spark of relief, happy that he won't have to sleep alone.
“Would you like a piggy back ride to their room?” Rex offers kindly, helping Anakin stand up, who looks at him confused. “What's a piggy back ride?”
Rex internally face palms, not thinking that Anakin may not have known what it is. “Well, it's like how it sounds. I'll carry you on my back and we'll ride around different places. Would you like to do that?” Anakin nods “Yes please.”
Rex smiles crouching down “Okay, here. Wrap your arms gently over my shoulders and around my neck. Then you'll jump up and I'll hook my arms under your legs, okay?” Anakin nods again and does as he's told, feeling a little nervous about what it is he's about to do. “Alright, ready? One, two, three.” Rex catches Anakin's legs and shuffles the small boy into his back more.
“Woah, ah.” Anakin panicked a little at first. “You okay, Ani?” The small giggle escaping Anakin gives Rex all the confirmation he needs to know he is okay.
Anakin no longer feels nervous, Rex starts speed walking down the hall, making Anakin squeal with delight. He loves it! Once they get to the end of the hall Rex slows down, stopping outside of Cody’s door. He opens it and walks in, still carrying Anakin. Obi Wan and Cody are sitting on the bed, and look up when Rex and Anakin come in. Obi Wan stands up with a smile. "You must be Anakin, it's very nice to meet you." Anakin hides behind Rex a little bit, making Obi Wan frown.
"It's okay, you can trust me. I promise." Obi Wan gives Anakin a comforting smile, walking towards him. I'm Obi Wan." Obi Wan holds out a hand to Anakin, waiting patiently for the nine year old to come out of hiding. It takes a few minutes and Rex has to tell him that Obi Wan is nice, but Anakin eventually comes out and shakes Obi Wan's hand.
"It's nice to meet you, Obi Wan." Anakin tells him quietly, making Obi Wan smile. Cody walks over beside them, smiling at Anakin. "It's very nice to meet you, I'm Cody, Rex's older brother." Anakin shakes Cody's hand as well, Rex then pulls him over to the bed while Obi Wan and Cody talk quietly to eachother.
“He seems like a very sweet young boy.” Cody smiles, stifling a yawn. Obi Wan nods in agreement. “He does, but there's...something about him. In the force I feel that...”
Cody slightly raises an eyebrow “What are you saying?” The two of them look over at the bed to see Anakin shuffling towards Rex, who wraps his arms around the nine year old comfortingly. “I feel that Anakin is strong with the force.”
“So he could train to be a knight?” Obi Wan nods “Yes, though it is his choice to become one or not.”
“Of course. I can remember when we were ten years old and you decided to become a knight, so we could be together.” Cody says lovingly, walking closer to Obi Wan and cups his face, looking into his eyes. “I'm happy that you stayed here. Happy that I can be with you, to spend everyday with you. I love you so much, Sweetheart.”
Obi Wan smiles, his gaze lost in Cody's honey eyes. “I love you too, Cyare.” The two of them share a loving kiss before going over to the bed and joining Rex and Anakin, who look cozy and warm. Cody climbs in first, followed by Obi Wan who wraps his arms around Cody's waist, letting one of his arms drape over to Rex's side, who gently holds Anakin between himself and Cody.
The four of them all snuggle together, Anakin, feeling much better now, hums quietly in content, feeling safe. He soon drifts off into a much nicer sleep, thankful that the nightmare didn't come back.
He does dream a very weird dream, he's playing in the snow with Obi Wan and Cody, but they are both older than they were before. Then a giant wolf appears. It stands like a human, arms and legs a bit longer, but Anakin still finds it scary. He whimpers in fear of the wolf, but Obi Wan and Cody crouch down next to him. “It's okay, Ani. It's just Rex.” Cody explains to Anakin, soon making him notice that the wolf has blonde fur.
“Rex?” Anakin's voice quivers slightly, but Rex nods his head, ears pressed back, crouching down to make himself seem smaller so as to not scare the nine year old boy. “Y-Yeah, it's me.” He sounds older too.
Anakin walks up closer and pets Rex's fur, giggling. “So fluffy.” Rex chuckles at that and his tail starts wagging, making Anakin giggle even more. Anakin runs through the snow as Rex pounces in it on all fours, playing tag with Anakin. He's going easy on him due to his size, so he let's Anakin win.
Cody whispers something into Obi Wan's ear, a smirk spread wide across his face. Using the force, Obi Wan forms some snow into a snowball, lifting it up in the air and then launching it at Rex. The snow sticks to Rex's fur, so he shakes himself off. Cody and Obi Wan both burst out laughing.
Rex shows a toothy playful grin as he gathers some snow, forming it into a snowball and throwing at the two of them, knocking the both of them over. The two of them laugh as they lie in the snow before cuddling and kissing one another.
Anakin giggles as he feels Rex pick him up and put him on his back, standing on all fours “Hold on okay?” Anakin nods and holds onto Rex, not too tightly though as to pull on his fur. Rex runs around in the snow, making Anakin shout out joyfully.
“Rex! Dinner's ready!” Anakin hears someone calling for Rex, making him slow down and eventually stop. It sounds like a female's voice. Anakin looks in the direction the voice came from, seeing someone he has never met before.
Anakin feels Rex's happiness, when he responds with “Okay, Shiny. We'll come in now.” Obi Wan and Cody get up from where they were lying in the snow, holding hands as they walk into the castle. Rex walks with Anakin still on his back. Before Anakin gets to the castle, he hears a squawk, making him look up to see a green feathered Convor circling around in the sky, then everything goes dark.
“Anakin. Anakin, you okay?” You ask as he has been sitting on the edge of your bed for some time now. He looks at you. “Uh, yeah sorry. Just remembering things is all.” Anakin can’t believe it, he had forgotten all about that dream until now. He always wondered why Rex’s wolf form looked so familiar. He’s going to have to bring this up to him later.
“What was it?” Anakin turns to you, he wonders if he should tell you, but decides against it. He doesn’t know what the dream meant, or why he didn’t remember it until now. Anakin thinks that it may have something to do with Ventress, or the Enchantress. But Anakin won’t know for sure until he could talk to the Enchantress again.
Anakin can’t believe that you were in it, he wants to tell Rex about that but the force is telling him not to, it gives him a bad feeling just thinking about it. Anakin doesn’t like not being able to tell Rex, he always tells Rex everything. “It’s just the memory about how I came to the castle and met Rex. I’ll tell you about it another time.” You nod, smiling at Anakin, you can feel that there’s something he’s not telling you, but you leave it be. Besides, he'll tell you some other time.

Warnings tags- Angsty/depressive thoughts, anger.
He’d thought that seeing his best friend on a wanted post, chasing after her with intent to capture or having to give that order was difficult. It had been just as difficult as the battle of Umbara, or knowing that she was locked up on Zygerria with half a dozen slavers willing to bid her away. It was hard to remember that all of this had happened in a matter of months, and each time he had been as helpless as last.
Rex had almost jumped after her into the depths of the lower levels of Coruscant. His heart had practically slammed against his rib cage as if it too was tempted to fling itself after her. What had stopped him was her own word. She had planned to get herself out of that mess on her own, without her Master’s help, and without him.
Anakin had brought his Captain back to the barracks and suggested he get some rest. “Trust in Ahsoka,” he had told the clone. Rex did. That didn’t stop him from worrying for her the rest of the evening. He would have torn out his hair if it had been long enough; the entire Republic thought that Ahsoka Tano was a criminal. Even if he himself should have believed it with all of the evidence stacked against her, he couldn’t stop himself from insisting to every sympathetic brother who approached him that she would never have bombed the temple, never would have killed innocent clones.
He didn’t sleep.
It was early, perhaps just before sunrise, when his comm rang incessantly. “Rex,” Anakin’s voice gasped, piercing through the clone’s drowsy haze. “They found her. They’re taking her in.”
The clone came with the General to retrieve her; the Wolf Pack boys had found her in a warehouse filled with the same explosives that had killed the Jedi in the Temple. Rex still told himself that it had been a coincidence. He knew that girl. He knew her tells for when she lied. She had not lied. She would never do such a thing.
She had been stunned and set up against the back wall of the ship. Rex had held her up gently by her shoulder and studied her lifeless face. She was covered in swaths of dust, her clothing ruffled and skin scuffed. She wore the expression of someone tormented while they slept; clearly, the stun bolt had not eased her torture. Rex had only seen her like this a select few times before, and always when she had a brush with death. He had to concentrate and feel the pulse in her neck to remind himself that she was still alive. Though wherever she was going, he wasn’t sure it would be any better.
The Padawan stirred as they landed at the prison; as the Coruscant guards dragged her away, she cast the Captain a sad glance before they shoved her forward and out of his vision.
Rex felt like crying out of frustration. But they wouldn’t listen to anything he had to say about her innocence.
“You should go back to the barracks again. It looks like you haven’t slept a wink,” Skywalker told his Captain again with a sympathetic pat on the shoulder plate. He hadn’t, and though he would have stood outside until he could see her next, he knew that would be pointless. It was up to the court to decide her fate.
He did end up sleeping, but it was only out of pure exhaustion. It was only for an hour or two, and just at the time the sun would begin to rise, Rex received a private message from Anakin. She left, It simply read. It took a lot of begging, but eventually, the clone was able to squeeze her location out of the General. He couldn’t let her walk out… not before he could talk to her.
He caught up to her at the very bottom of the grand steps that lead up to the Jedi temple. Anakin had returned to whatever business he had next to attend a while ago, but somehow she had yet to leave the Temple behind. She stood still, her face tilted up to the sunrise. She looked impossibly resigned despite the tears in her eyes as if she had already accepted her fate. He was almost hesitant to call out her name; she was clearly deep in thought, perhaps enjoying the last few moments where she could see the same view as the Temple she had once trained in. “Ahsoka.”
The Togruta slowly turned at her name. Her expression did not change, but the corners of her lips rose. “Rex,” she breathed.
The clone stopped on one of the steps instead of meeting her; he tore off his bucket and tucked it into his side. “I had to come see you,” he explained softly. “I… I heard what happened.” With a sigh, he decided he had to ask. “How can you leave, Ahsoka? Right in the middle of the war?” How can you leave me, after all we have been through?
Now she really looked like she was on the verge of tears. “I had to. I couldn’t stay,” she insisted miserably. “There is something wrong with the Council. It’s not the Order I knew. They didn’t believe me, Rex. They thought I had killed people.” She sniffed angrily and wiped her nose. “They’re corrupt. I couldn’t stay in an Order that is so obviously wrong.” Her chest heaved as she sighed a heavy, calming breath.
“Then you need to correct it,” Rex protested desperately. “If they really are wrong, then they won’t realize it. You can’t abandon them now, Ahsoka. Please. Don’t abandon your troops. Your Master. Me.” Maybe it was selfish to plead, but it was very rarely that Rex had ever wanted circumstances to change so badly.
“There is nothing I can do. I’m only one Padawan.” Ahsoka shook her head and hugged herself even tighter. She was shivering. “And I’m sorry. I really am. I never wanted this to happen!” Now she was outright sobbing. “Please understand, Rex. I don’t think I could live If I knew you hated me.”
Finally, the clone finished the descent to the bottom step where Ahsoka stood. He was still taller than her, though it seemed that she grew every day. Her face; still scuffed, streaked with tears and utterly stretched with despair, seemed to imprint itself in his head. He wished he could make her smile again and chase away everything that had pained her. All he could do, however, was try and assure her. “I believed in your innocence. I really did.” With everyone against her, it had to be a nice thing to hear.
“I know you did,” the Padawan answered quietly. Hesitantly, with a feather-light touch, she reached out and slipped her fingers through Rex’s. “You’re a good person,” she complimented as she brought his hands to her chest. “Better than I. I have to go, Rex. There are things I need to sort out, and I have to do it alone.”
He felt reality itself was slipping like a boulder down a hill. He had never imagined what it might be like to not have the likeable Togruta by his side. “I… don’t know how I will fare without you.” The pain he felt was unlike any that he had experienced before; no tumble, strike or explosion had ever caused an ache like when Ahsoka had told him she was leaving. It was as if a giant hole had replaced the organs in his chest, which was then filled with the weight of his emotions.
Ahsoka just shook her head. “This has been the hardest choice I have ever made.” It was whispered through tears and a trembling lip. “Be strong, Rex. And I promise we will meet again.” With an entirely sad expression, eyes wide and glistening with a hand that curved around the plates of his arm for just a moment, it was clear she was in as much despair as he.
Rex had wanted to tell her something at that moment, though what he had wanted to say slipped off of his tongue. He merely remained silent as the Togruta leaned forward and he met her gesture. Pressing their foreheads together, hands still clutched desperately, the clone decided this was how he wanted to remember her. Not as the framed innocent who had fought for the truth despite all odds. Not the mature, brave warrior that had made a difficult choice, but instead a caring, emotional friend who was always ready to show her love.
He watched her go and tried very hard to collect his thoughts. They jumbled and stirred in his mind, flinging emotions throughout his already aching body. Nobody contacted him to ask where he had disappeared to. Maybe, somehow, they knew, because when the captain returned to the barracks and announced the newest change, his brothers merely dipped their heads in reverie. They didn’t offer condolences, but Kix did ask if he cared for a sleeping aid. Rex denied it. He didn’t need sleep. He had only needed her.
There was still a flurry of emotions clouding his judgment when the Captain awoke in the medbay after sleeping off the anesthetic his troops had stuck in him. Rest had not helped. He still was completely aware that his Commander was unfairly ripped away from everything she had loved. He was getting tired of feeling so much pain and sorrow, all in a short span of time. Pushing them down only worsened the emotion that he had always struggled the most with hiding; anger. The shadows closed in, and he felt as hopeless then as he did under Krell’s command.
He might have punched in a wall if he hadn’t thought about what Ahsoka might have said. She might suggest he talk about his frustration, or have a drink of tea over a mediation session. She would have told him not to be upset at something he couldn’t change. She would have made him forget out the circumstances with a joke and a fanged grin.
But now she was gone. The light was gone. There would be nothing to chase away the darkness, and nothing would ever be the same without her.

How Kix Met His Wife
Kix x female reader
No warnings, AU, last name of reader strictly for continuity purposes for other fics
Part 2 of 3
For those two days, Kix couldn’t get her off his mind. Her smile, her giggle, her expressions, her dramatic flair. Her eyes, her freckles, her perfectly white teeth. He occasionally found himself checking the ER roster to see if she had come back early. Eventually he realized that was pointless. And borderline obsessive as Fives would tell him, if Kix had told Fives about the pretty woman. The last thing he needed was Fives swooping in and charming this woman out from under him.
For those two days, you couldn’t get that medic, Kix, out of your head. There were black circles under your eyes, bruising from the broken nose. It had popped up by then next morning. You had almost rushed back to the ER just then to see him, but stopped yourself at the door to your apartment. It was simply bruising. There wasn’t anything he could do for it. Besides, he’d probably be irritated, he was probably just being nice to you because that was his job. After all, you couldn’t request certain doctors or medics. It was a “you get what you get” policy in the ER. You went about your job as usual, sporting the bruises and all like a badge of honor.
Once Saturday arrived though, you awoke eagerly. You had taken the morning off work. You showered and picked out a cute outfit that you could wear to work later that evening. You settled on a pair of light grey slacks that sat just above your hip and a button up that complimented your skin tone. You tucked your shirt in and checked yourself out in the mirror. These slacks made your rear look good, and the button-up shaped around your bosom nicely, but was loose enough to not pucker.
At the entrance to the base, you handed over your sidearm to be check in and held at the guard post and arrived at the ER in a timely fashion.
At the check-in desk, you explained that Clone Medic Kix had informed you to return today for a follow up about your broken nose. The bruising was still obvious, but the swelling was considerably better.
“Okay, just take a seat ma’am. If he’s available, he’ll see you. If not, we have other qualified Medics.” The protocol droid explained. You nodded, feeling a little crestfallen, but took a seat and tried to stay optimistic.
About an hour later, you were called back to an exam room, one much like the one you were in two days ago. You sat in the spare chair, your leg fidgeting. You chalked your nerves up to what he’ll determine about your nose. And your overall unease in doctors offices. And certainly not about whether or not he’ll be the one to show up, or if he’ll see you for 5 minutes and discharge you with no request to see you again. The minutes ticked by and what was only ten minutes seemed like ten hours. Suddenly the curtain was drawn back and he walked through. You knew it was him and not another clone due to his distinctive hair style. Buzzed and a tattoo over his left ear. He gave you that wonderful smile and you returned it with one of your own.
Kix was elated when he had seen your name on his check-in roster. He was even more excited when he saw the note that you had requested him. He tried to play things cool though. You hadn’t been called back yet. Once you were, he waited a bit longer, he didn’t want to see too eager. Your injury had been pretty bad, but not life threatening. He attended to two other tasks, reading a scan over and popping a brother’s shoulder back into place, before heading to the exam room you were in.
“Hey, Detective, you returned.” He said, patting the exam table. “Hop on up.” He added. You did as you were told and sat on the table.
“Nice shiners.” He noted, you smirked.
“They have helped me appear more intimidating during interrogations.” You said casually.
“Oh I’m sure you’re intimidating without them.” Kix replied, the corner of his lips kicked up a bit. He sterilized his hands with quick-drying antibacterial gel and gently felt around your nose and cheek bones. His bare fingers felt cool against your skin.
“The swelling has greatly improved. No broken or fractured cheek bones. But I’m afraid I’ll have to perform a closed reduction surgery.” He determined.
“Surgery?! But I have work this evening!” You explained worriedly. Kix gently touched your upper arm with his hand.
“It’s not that kind of surgery. I will just numb the area and manually realign your nose.” He removed his hand to put on gloves.
Kix took a small needle and injected anesthetic around your nose. He tried to keep himself focused on that and not on the way your lips curved or the gentle slope of your eyebrows. His heart was beating quickly but he managed to keep his breathing slow and even. He was nervous just being around you, but he didn’t want to portray that. He took out an small tool when a flattened end and wiped it with a alcohol-soak cotton swab.
“Okay, I’m just going to stick this up your nose and push the bone back into place.” He explained, he watched one of those bewitching eyebrows arch up.
“I know, that sounded weird, but trust me, this is better than having me use my hand to snap it over.” He shrugged. Honestly, you’d love his hand on your nose. But you gave a nod. He gently tilted your head back and shined a light up each nostril.
“Okay, so left to right. Simple stuff.” He said, you figured it was to himself. He kept his right hand under your chin, his fingers gentle but firm. He used his left hand to slide the tool up your left nostril and pressed it against the broken bone. You felt some pressure, but no pain thankfully. He pressed firmly and there was a pop and you felt your nose move back into place. Your eyes instantly watered, but simply because your sinuses were finally realigned.
“Keep your head just like that for me.” He instructed, his forefinger seemed to linger on your jawline as he slid his hand away. You’d hold this position all day if he had asked you. He put a long cotton tipped stick up your nose and gently rubbed bacta on along your septum. He applied some small splints to either side of the nose, just to hold it in place.
“How long until it heals?” You asked.
“It should be fine in about a week if you apply bacta like did.” He gave you a small tube of the ointment and some cotton-tipped sticks.
You two engaged in some small talk for a while.
“So what happened to that Zabrak who punched you?” Kix asked as he walked you back to the lobby.
“Acquitted.” You said with a defeated shrug.
“Really?!” Kix asked, surprised.
“Yeah, we had solid evidence, but he had a good lawyer.” You replied. “It happens.” Kix gave a nod. There was a bit of awkward silence.
“Well, ummm....if your nose doesn’t heal right or still seems crooked, just let me know. Or if, um, your husband has questions-“
“Oh I’m single!” You replied, you swear you saw relief flash over the handsome medic’s face.
“Oh, great! I mean, good...well in that, you already know to call me...if you have questions...about your nose....” you smiled as the medic’s cheeks reddened as he got flustered.
“I’ll call you.” You agreed, purposely keeping your reply vague.
A week later you mustered up the courage to call the ER and ask to speak with Kix. The nurse who had answered ended up crushing you.
“Oh, ma’am I’m so sorry. He’s shipped out. Was this about a follow up? I can schedule you with-“
“Oh, no...no, it’s fine. It wasn’t really a medically related question anyways. It’s okay.
Um, any idea on when he’ll be back?” You asked, your throat tightening.
“No, I’m sorry. The 501st usually stays away for a while. You can check back in two months maybe?” She suggested. You thanked her and ended the call. You hated yourself for not calling a week ago. That afternoon after your last appointment. That evening even. Work had been slow, but you didn’t want to seem desperate. You squeezed your eyes shut and willed the tears that threatened to fall to stay away. The feeling soon passed.

Clone Troopers Headcanons: Relationships
Hello there ;) I'm considerably new to Tumblr and a crazy fan for Star Wars, especially The Clone Wars, and am proud to finally add to the fandom!! I happen to be just loving the clones lately and thought I'd do some random relationship headcanons for them (beware, includes NSFW). Those for Rex, Cody, Echo, Kix and Wolffe are strongly based off stuff I've read on @jynandtonics ' account, so please please PLEASE take a look at her own headcanons, they are lovely!!!
Rex
He'd be more the type to head out to actually do something on dates. Like, he can go to restaurants and such, but would rather bond with you over a fire, cuddling up for warmth, after a long day exploring woods.
Worded basically, this man is born to run. Forget sitting around and doing nothing. But if you mean to relax together at one point, he will slow his pace to grant that kind of luxury to you both. Just, at the end of the day, it's important for him to have accomplished something.
He's a great lover in bed. He usually adapts his pace to the mood, fast and crisp and satisfying when desperate for each other and just tearing at each others' clothes, slow and elaborate and passionate after a big scare during a rough mission to remind you he's still there. He doesn't mind switching things up, for example, having you on top, he loves watching your vigorous movements as you try to satisfy you both and how your breasts bounce to your rhythm with your head tilted back, he'll do his best to assist you and will hold your hips and butt to support you. Your comfort matters a lot to him. He's always open to trying new things since he trusts you and knows you'd really be happy to see the result. I say he wouldn't be very noisy, but a grunt, usually muffled against your breast or neck, is usually inevitable when he reaches his high. He'll never leave a task unfinished and will strive until he pushes his beloved over the edge.
Cody
Has been influenced by Obi-Wan and is very sweet and supportive. He will never say any negative things about his lover.
He's focused merely on pleasing his lover, and therefore is not afraid to give oral. In fact, that's one of his favourite ways to wake you up. He'll surprise you in the cutest ways, joining you in the shower, wrapping his arms around you from behind, giving a small, teasing grope to your butt while watching a movie, as his way to signal that he's in the mood. You guys find yourselves beneath the sheets surprisingly often and for long rounds for a man who looks, well, almost innocent. But let me tell you, he's so far from it. From his hungry, possessive touches to his low, sinful grunts while thrusting into you, you know he can be turned into someone else completely. Especially if you tease him, just to hear his low growls as he aches to flip you over and show you who's in charge.
Echo
He's very much aware of details and will appreciate them (thank his love for reading). After his initial shyness and clumsiness, he has love fever and is just absolutely in love with you.
He daydreams about you, talks about you, thinks of you whenever he sees basically anything, I swear. You have invaded his mind.
This boi appreciates silence and just calmness. When he knows he won't be on mission for a while and doesn't have to worry about not having enough time with you before being deployed again, worded differently, when relaxed and not utterly desperate for time with you, he'll certainly appreciate just being quiet together and reading together. Reading together cuddled up on the couch or in your bed is not a rare sight.
This bun can be so clumsy and shy in bed, apologizing madly whenever he gets a squeak out of you because the last thing he wants to do to you is hurt you. So it's important for you to encourage him. His uncertainty really isn't that bad to put up with since, well, yeah it's adorable, but also because the clear lovingness to every touch, every gesture, every compliment... It just warms up your heart. He's just so sweet, and so completely enamoured with you, which is why he can be so nervous, he just wants it to feel good and to be perfect for you, to the point when he forgets about himself sometimes. But once he's been properly reassured, that hesitance goes away, so all there is to it is love. Sweet, kind, gentle love, the most love you've ever felt and the most love anyone could ever feel. Showering your face with gentle kisses, the cutest compliments, the most loving calls of your name as he leans his forehead against yours and closes your eyes. It starts off slow, but quickens as he slowly starts to go wild from just how wonderful his lover feels around him. He'll call your name, gasp out, quiver, moan out in response to your own sounds. His presence is so strong and close during this intimate moment, and it's something that feels like both of you are putting your efforts into, together.
Wolffe
He won't say much, and is much more of a physical person. Although his teddy bear, protective snuggling and rare sweet words are more than enough for you to know how much he really holds dear to do. You make his gray, grumpy days so much brighter and easier to pull through.
When you finally get time alone with him, your ultimate mission is to just crack a smile out of him. Thanks to @jynandtonics my mind is obsessed with the thought that this boi would just LOVE cooking, so yay, make some cake together but oops, sorry, I got some batter on your cheek! Reach up, wipe it off... Ahh, a small smile right there! Seriously, his smile means the world to you, and you feel so special for being the only one who can quite get one out of him. Whether it be due to a small happy dance, you squealing when he accidentally sneaks up on you, or a loving look in the intimacy of your dark bedroom.
He actually doesn't have much of a clue what he's supposed to do as a boyfriend, and will therefore take the time to search it up (not ask around, he'd never take advice for something so secretly important to him from mere brothers, he needs to be sure to find the best answers. And either way, he's not the type to brag much about you, in order to make sure no one steals you from him), searching up what couples do and such, good date ideas and romantic dinner ideas. Therefore, you often recognize classic date ideas, or dream ideas for the perfect night spent together. Most ideas end up messing up horribly because, well, dream ideas, not reality. But to see Wolffe try so hard for you is good enough for you, and you always remind him. It's okay if it's not perfect. His efforts warm up your heart, and all that counts to you is to be with him. Such sweet words always manage to comfort him, along with a good night of sleep protectively holding his precious lover close against him, without a single inch of space between you to spare. He'll never let anything keep you apart, ever.
Making love with Wolffe? Oh dear. Remember that part when I said he wants to keep you all to himself? Well, yeah, if you couldn't tell before, you definitely can in bed. It feels like he's eating you up, his lips on every single part of your body, hot, hungry and full of desire, making your soft, sensitive skin tingle and swell underneath his nips and sucks. Hungry? He'll literally eat you out. This man has no shame and very openly expresses his desire and longing for you, his hands are all over you, as is his mouth as he breathes down on you hard, his nose brushing against intimate spots as he does so. He's big on tease just to hear you whine and squirm beneath him, but will be quick to jump to the point, grabbing you suddenly and dragging you over to him when he gets tired and just wants to screw you over the edge. He's usually fast and rough, his grip on you tight and his hot breath fanning your face as he works furiously and fervently. Claw marks on your thighs are not a rare sight, and nor are scratches all across his back and shoulders. But he loves the pain and the screams, he just does. And if you like it too, he will gladly comply to handing spanks and such, but only if you are comfortable with it. His point is barely to hurt you. In fact, at the end of it all, his teddy bear side comes back out to take care of you, kissing the bruises he's made and holding you close as he inhales the sweet mixed scent of your hair, sex, and sweat.
Kix
Due to his profession as medic, he has lots of knowledge about the body ex. Sweet spots and absolutely loves worshipping his perfect lover's. He just is really fond of touching and such, being amazed by how great your body is.
Being a medic is tiring. Therefore, Kix will take any calm, slow time he can grant himself to just relax and have a good time. Like, he won't sleep through free days, but seriously they're an amazing opportunity to try and get him to release the reserve of stress within him. Massages, baths, laughs, goodness, just treat this boy to a nice and relaxing time, all right?
I did mention he really likes touching your body, right? And I mean it. Your body is fascinating to him. He likes seeing it in different positions, kissing new spots to see your reactions and where you like him to tease you best. He teases you a bit in bed, but only enough for you to be ready, unless you want more or the mood is special. He's just too sweet to torture you in that way. He knows what he's doing since, well, he knows the body so well, and therefore is barely ever clumsy or hesitant, but makes sure you're comfortable with what he's doing. It's also fairly easy for him to stay in control of himself because his work as a medic has earned him nerves of steel... Well, unless you decide to tease him. And oh can you get noises and squirms out of him when you put yourself to it. He can get quite noisy, calling your name out as his hand bundles in your hair, shaking helplessly underneath your devilish lips. Seriously though, in the end, all that matters for him in the end is to make you feel good. He's a passionate lover, usually slow to just take in every sigh of bliss and shiver of your perfect body, but will finish you off faster if you ask him to or if he judges it better to do so.
Oh, and important note; your periods. At first, they'd confuse the poor man since sure, it involves your body and all, but male bodies don't bleed their lives out once a month...? But since it has to do with your body and is natural, he'd get used to it very quickly and would definitely find ways to cope, which usually involve buying you your favourite sweets and being understanding if you feel like lying around watching movies or not being touched. He won't take it personally. But if you're looking up at him with puppy eyes whining about a cramp? He'll join you in your bed, hug you tight against him, but carefully so he doesn't make the pain any worse, and refuse to budge until you feel any better.
Oh, and speaking of natural things, I feel like Kix would be very open toward anything natural, for example, pubes or body weight and such won't ever really disturb him. In fact, it turns him on a lot. That's a great excuse for you to get him to take his clothes off to try some natural product on him because mmm. His shoulders. His muscles. His ass.
Hardcase
He's just a bit too hyper to be able to just sit still and think things through, so it's the same for a lot of things that he does for his lover. He's fairly simple, enjoying basic things like eating with her, having laughs and just seeing her smile. To others, these things might seem small, but to him, they mean the world, and seeing the way they make his eyes shine, you're more than satisfied. Although when he does take the time to plan something big out... A special night, or memorizing a text he wrote all by himself describing how much you mean to him and how he loves laughing with you, or a gift he made -and probably messed up but it's cute so- just for you... It takes your breath away, to see how much effort he put just for you.
His puppy love for you is just so adorable and pure. It's a romance filled with laughs and good times, and fights are very rare since this guy's just so freakin' hilarious and doesn't dwell much on things. Oh, he stole the last pizza slice you had been saving for your lunch? A soft apology, a quick kiss and a wide, boyish grin and oops what was I angry about again? Come on, you just can't be mad at this guy. And he just barely ever gets mad himself, he's a happy bean that's happy to live another day to shoot at clankers and to spend another night just restlessly rolling over again and again in bed until you shush him with a long, loving kiss. Although sometimes it takes a little more than a kiss to calm him down. ;)
Remember when Fives and he were trying out those ships and he was just cheering and yelling? That's also a daily part of your routine. So is his adorable grin. You guys like heading out to see new places and to try new things, anything that has you two moving since he can't quite sit still. A musical? He's gonna get bored and end up just restlessly squirming in his seat and murmuring lame jokes or comments into your ear until you're giggling so much that you have to be driven out of the theatre. Therefore, going to the beach to play (and fall in love all over again) in the waves, going to festivals to just scream and headbang together, and trying out new activities such as skiing and watching each other flop around and fail miserably as you laugh your butts off has become a more common type of thing for you guys to do during days off.
Hardcase in bed? God, he can't get himself to shut up. It's a time filled with giggles and laughs as he gives off comments or accidentally noses a ticklish spot. Your laughing just makes him so happy. It's a happy, loving moment, which sometimes will turn quite serious and quiet, usually in the middle of it all, in the heat of the moment. He'll be handing you a boyish grin as he moves up into you, but your eyes will then meet and he'll find himself so... Mesmerized, amazed by your absolute beauty. His intense gaze will burn into yours as he gently holds you to support himself to help maintain his steady pace, his face giving off a rare, focused look, and when you're lucky you'll get a sexy bite of his lip too. Grunts and groans do escape him, and as he gets closer to his high, his more hyper side will kick in, speeding up his thrusts considerably as the poor bed squeaks noisily beneath you two. He'll dip over you as he gives out cries of pleasure mixed in with your own from the crazy stimulation, his noises long and strained, until as his movements become clumsier he'll choke out your name and pant hard and moan. Afterwards, he's be quaking violently from it all, allowing you to hold him close to him and to stroke his head and cheek gently. All in all, it's intense and noisy when you two finish off, and as much as he's not the best and most elaborate of all lovers, you do see that he gives it his all, getting as many laughs and smiles out of you and pleasing you as much as he can. Oh, and he really enjoys seeing what he does to you, so he tends to loom a bit over you to admire your body and face when he's not busy trying not to go wild from how amazing and tight you feel.

You hadn't even shifted the car into park when you heard the sound of a seatbelt release behind you. When you met the eyes of your six-year-old daughter through the rear-view mirror, the girl stilled immediately, seat belt still clinched tightly in her hand. The look of oops and amusement plastered on her little face kept you from getting upset, and you shook your head in response.
"Can't get mad at her," your younger sister said from beside you. "All rules go out the window when it comes to dogs."
"I know, Donni. That's why I invited you--so you can keep us from leaving with five different animals."
"I made no such promises. Besides, I'll take the other four."
"Yes!" the little voice chimed in from the back seat. "Five dogs!"
"Addie, no. One dog," you said before you raised a hand to point at your sister. "One. Dog."
You rolled your eyes at the identical pouts you received from the other two females in the car. "I swear, Donni. She gets more like you everyday."
"Which means she's awesome," she sang, drawing out the 'o' in the word.
"This is true." You paused and scrunched your nose at your daughter in the mirror--an expression that Addie readily mimiced. "Alright ladies, let's go fall in love."
"Stevie, I gotta tell you somethin'," Bucky started, pacing through the rows of kennels.
Steve muttered a distracted "what is it, Buck," as he glanced inside each cage to make sure the dogs still had plenty of water and there were no messes to clean.
"Did you know the internet compares you to a golden retriever?"
That called for Steve's full attention and he turned slowly to face his friend. There was a look of confusion on his face as if he'd misheard the brunet. Maybe it was just so loud with all the dogs barking that his mind filled in the gaps of what he couldn't hear.
Bucky took the silence as his cue to continue, barely concealing the smirk as he offered an explanation. "Blond hair, fiercely loyal, loves catch, kinda goofy and clumsy sometimes. So hey, it's perfect that we're volunteering here. Maybe you can adopt a sibling!"
Steve reached out and pushed against Bucky's shoulder as his friend finally released the laughter he'd been holding back. "You're hilarious," he deadpanned.
"Or... oh! Or maybe you'll meet someone. Dames loves dogs; it's perfect."
"C'mon, not you too. I get enough of this from Nat."
He groaned as Bucky laughed again but in all honesty, he loved that his friend was back to making jokes and was comfortable enough in public to volunteer at an animal shelter. He shook his head and turned around to resume his check of the kennels, stopping short when he realized a little girl was standing right beside him.
"The lady at the desk said you can help me find a dog."
You heard Addie before you saw her. Soft giggles floated from the far aisle of the kennels and you started speaking before you even rounded the corner. "I swear, kid. I dunno how you always manage to disappear so fas- oh. Hello."
You definitely weren't expecting anyone to be with Addie, much less the very built, very handsome man that quickly stood from his crouched position beside her. "She's not being any trouble, is she?"
"Not at all. I was just telling her a little about these two," he replied, pointing into the cage in front of them that held two German shepherds. One of the dogs was sitting quietly by the gate, nose pressed through the openings and sniffing tentatively at Addie. The other dog was alternating between playfully nipping at the other's ear and yipping at the humans standing in front of it.
"Mom, this is Steve," Addie said, her eyes never straying from the two animals that were almost as large as she was.
You reached out to shake his hand and introduce yourself as Addie spoke up again.
"He's Captain America."
You and Steve both froze mid-handshake and looked down.
A fresh round of barks sounded as Donni's voice called out your name from the kennel entrance. Your head turned just as your sister appeared around the corner, expression bright and red hair bouncing. "Captain America is... here." Her excitement faltered when she realized her announcement wasn't necessary.
You didn't miss the way your sister's eyes darted down to where your hand still rested in Steve's and you were quick to pull your hand back, brushing a section of hair behind your ear as you tried to keep your composure.
"So much for subtlety," Steve said with a chuckle as he looked down at Addie. "How'd you know?"
"You have the same smile and it's nice."
Addie could make you blush with the most innocent of compliments. A quick glance at Steve told you that the kid had the same effect on him. He cleared his throat as he knelt back down and you turned around in time to see your sister give a knowing little wave and turn to leave the area. When you looked at your daughter again, Addie was all smiles. She had both hands through the fence, little fingers tangled in the fur of the two dogs and you just knew you were going to have a hard time leaving this place without the pair.
It was a couple more seconds before you realized they were having another conversation.
"Are they boys or girls?"
Steve brought his hand up to scratch the scruff of the calmer of the two dogs. "This one's a boy. The feisty one is a girl."
It wasn't long until you, Addie, and Steve were in one of the bonding rooms with the female German shepherd. Addie was dutifully tossing a tennis ball away from her and giggling when the dog returned it and dropped it at her feet. Instead of throwing the ball a sixth time, she crouched down and scratched both sides of the dog's face. There was a hesitation on the shepherd's part at first, but as soon as Addie cooed "good dog," she burst into laughter as the dog leaned forward and covered her face with kisses.
You were in love too. Your daughter's smile had always been your favorite thing in the world and you beamed as you watched how the two were getting along.
Steve was beside you the whole time, talking about the dog's health. She was spayed, had no worms, was microchipped, and was only two years old. There was also a couple personal questions, like whether you had a fenced yard and if there were other people or animals in the house.
When he mentioned the other shepherd, your heart broke a little.
"I feel kind of guilty," you mumbled.
"Why?" Steve asked. He got Addie's attention and tossed her a rope toy then grinned as she engaged in a game of tug-o-war with the dog.
"The paper on the kennel said those two are siblings and I don't wanna break 'em up."
A soft smile crossed Steve's face. "If it makes you feel any better, I really want the other one. Some colleagues and I would benefit from having him around." There was a slightly embarrassed look on his face as he spoke and he brought his hand up to rub the back of his neck. "That's the reason Bucky and I volunteer here; dogs help with PTSD."
You reached out and placed your hand on his forearm, reassuring words perched on the tip of your tongue--
The bonding room door opened suddenly and the other German shepherd bounded in, followed by a brunet with a metal arm.
"Sorry Steve, he looked lonely."
You reached up and covered your face with your hands, muffling your voice when you spoke. "Oh that doesn't help at all."
Steve huffed out a sigh. "Let it be known that the Winter Soldier is a giant marshmallow when it comes to dogs."
Laughter bubbled from your mouth as the other man's head whipped to the side and a faux betrayed expression crossed his face.
Addie finally took a break and approached the adults as the two dogs wrestled playfully with each other. "I like her," she said, then turned to Steve. "You should take the boy and then sometimes you can come over so they can see each other."
Bucky choked on a laugh and Steve's face turned slightly pink. You just stared at your daughter, wondering when the hell the little girl became so mischievous. You're saved from further embarrassment when Donni poked her head into the bonding room.
"So. Do you know if the dog is alright with cats?"
Thirty minutes later, there was a small group of humans and animals surrounding the main desk in the humane society's front office. Donni decided to take home a little black kitten curled up in the hood of her jacket because she'd "rather take it home than put it back." Both German shepherds were present as well--the girl had her front paws propped on the countertop, tongue out and panting as she stared around the room while the boy was sitting on his haunches between Steve and Bucky.
"What do you want to name her?" Steve asked as he pulled up the dog's information on the computer.
Addie's answer was immediate. "Kix."
You raised an eyebrow as you looked down at your daughter. "Like the cereal?"
"Yeah! Kid tested, mother approved."
"That's not the only thing your mother approves of," Donni muttered under her breath.
There was a chorus of noise as the adults reacted simultaneously. Bucky erupted in laughter and raised his hand to offer Donni a high-five, Steve chuckled quietly and you coughed and smacked your sister's hand as soon as it returned to her side.
Once Bucky's laughter subsided, he glanced at you and Steve then cleared his throat. "Want some help getting this stuff in the car?" he asked, pointing to the new crates and little bags of pet food.
"Yeah, I think I'll go put Addie in her seat and try to get this little dude out of my hood," Donni added.
You watched as they grabbed the pet supplies and headed out to her car. Addie helped as well, grabbing the little bag of cat food and following her aunt, leaving you alone with Steve. Even the lady who'd been watching the desk when you all arrived had taken her break, and you were grateful for that because you didn't want anyone to witness if you ended up embarrassing yourself more.
You took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Sorry about the comments? The women in my life are a little devious."
Steve finished printing the final papers and receipts for the purchase of the pets and placed them on the counter in front of you. "Trust me, I'm used to it. Buck can be just as bad sometimes."
You glanced down at your fidgeting hands and suddenly found you were having trouble looking up again. You weren't going to deny that you found Steve insanely attractive and incredibly charming but you just couldn't accept the idea that he'd even be remotely interested in you--just some single mom with a comparatively unexciting job. You didn't feel like you had much to offer an Avenger.
You were so lost in your own head that you jumped when you realized Steve had joined you in front of the desk.
"So," he started, bringing his hand up to the back of his neck again. "About play-dates for the dogs--"
"Oh, no, don't feel obligated to do that. It's... Addie's just... you know, kids don't really have a filter and--"
"It's not that. I just... thought it'd be a good excuse because I would like to see you again." His cheeks were tinged with pink before he even finished his statement. "If that's alright with you,"
At first, you were too shocked to respond. After a moment, you gathered your thoughts and smiled brightly through the butterflies in your stomach. "Oh! Yeah, that... I would like that. That's definitely alright with me."
"Great! How's dinner on Friday sound?"
