Before someone says something, gntsu is in everywhere and i tried to like gntsu before, so i ended up absorving content.

Gntsus who are also Tskki fans, have a tendence of being super rabid abt her, so i thought they cared a lot of her, but when you see how they act, you start questioning who they like more, gntsu or Tskki? I already said it before, they take out Hinowa and Seita from her life, but it doesn't stop there, a lot of them prefer Tskki interacting with Gn or alone, rather them she staying with other girls (with a excpetion of Kagura sometimes) and they also get mad at ppl headcanon her as lesbian, bc y'know... or even when someone ships her with other women, some of them are ok with other ships for her, but then the person also needs to ship gntsu, think that it's better than their opposing ship and never talk bad abt gntsu, so... And there's still the fact they think Tskki crush on Gn is a sacred thing, as if her character loses a giant part of herself if she's not crushing on him? They got real mad man, even say stuff like "If you don't like gntsu or prefer her crushing someone else, you're a misogynist! Plus how dare you don't want her to be happy? She only can be happy with this man, if you don't like this, you don't like her character because you're against her happiness!" i hate these kind of fandoms omg, it's like they arrest Tskki to with gntsu, y'know? And i not gonna even start with how they have Red Spider Arc as their favorite...

Despite that, her character in fanon doesn't stray that much from her og character, she still is a tsundere, which get frustraed easily and doesn't know how to show much affection, but she's way too submissive, because in every f/m ship they need to make women the submissive one, there's some exceptions same if it's totally out of her character.

Right now, Gntoki... A super funny thing, is that they don't hold him with gntsu, as they do with Tskki (HOW FUNNY ISN'T IT?).

About content, i know it's their content, they do what they want blah, blah, blah, but why Gntoki never looks like Gn? He's charming, cute, affectionate, romantic, clingy (Gn hates clingy ppl, how ironic), the only traits he still has are sweet addiction, being a shounen jump fan and a perv... His laziness? He not being able to show affection as well? Being broke? His addiction to games of chance? His mental scars from war? Fuck that! Let's make him a man from generic romance #5034... 'wah i don't like it when togafuka pops up when you search togami or fukawa' then blacklist the tag? and it's still funny when nae/-gami shippers get on tofu's case for togami treating fukawa poorly when togami treats naegi awfully too. at least togami never intentionally put fukawa in harm's way (dr3 doesn't count bc he knew she was capable of sorting that out). when she has passed out during ch3? sakura even acknowledges that togami knew fukawa was safe as there had already been two deaths. then he's like 'oh she's alive :/' AFTER. or during the explosion in ch5, he says 'oh she probably turned to dust' when he'd know she didn't bc he saw the body fly. he's just a dick.

and him revealing her secret in ch2? did he do it harshly? yes. but like... 1. it's chapter 2. and 2. he kinda needed to reveal there was a serial killer. he did not know fukawa and syo didn't share memories, so for all he knew, syo knew he knew her identity and she could kill him to keep it secret and get away with it. no one would believe him. he saw an opportunity and took it. (EDIT: Togami knew about Syo before the secrets motive was revealed. He didn't reveal it as soon as he found out. It was after the motive and the 24 hours limit, which put pressure on everyone, was revealed that he set up telling everyone. Again, he didn't know they don't share memories, so now to him Syo knows she has 24 hours to kill someone to prevent her secret getting out and who better than the person who already knows her secret?) was he mean? yes. but this was a situation about killing and getting away with it and he was up against a serial killer who could best him. even if she did get found out after, he would still be dead. and if you're going to use chapter 2 against them, you can use so much against nae-/gami.

togami gets naegi to open a door when hagakure suggests it's rigged with a bomb. togami tells naegi to his face on more than one occasion to die and that he's worthless. naegi often comes away from their interactions feeling psychologically drained/abused/shattered or w/e and in school mode, after spending time together, naegi feels like he has to prove to togami his existence can have meaning. that becomes naegi's purpose. naegi says he feels like they'd never be true friends and they were worlds apart after spending all the free times together. Do they become friends? i think so! but take that all into account. And notice I did not even go into togami bossing naegi around or some of the other shitty behaviour. in my opinion, this ship wouldn't and couldn't ever sail and be in character and healthy.

i'm not saying togami is nice to fukawa or fukawa doesn't overstep boundaries bc. they do. they also go through good character development (fukawa goes from wanting to depend on togami to wanting him to be able to depend on her! she fantasises about him calling her strong! she learns friendship+romantic love are both important and strong. togami learns to depend on others and let others depend on him. when he learns to not make light of people's emotions, one of the first things he does is compliment fukawa on finding a knife. in ch3, it's implied those two got up to something together, bc togami acts very strangely when he comes into the cafeteria with syo and what syo says about wearing red lingerie that morning is... hm).

there's just. so much to togafuka and it's annoying when ppl are like 'tofu sukc bc theyre mean to each other it's gross' especially when they ship something like nae/-gami.

EDIT: togami and fukawa also have several parallels/constrasts (birthdays, designs, how they deal and dealt with childhood trauma) and togami's character was adjusted/changed specifically to be someone that fukawa would fall in love with. so... yeah. it's funny they made togami's character less relevant to naegi's so he could be fukawa's love interest.

one thing that confuses me is that they talk about this tagging etiquette as if it were something universal, and not something that can be different from fandom to fandom, and that users have their own TAG system ??? In fandom circles I'm in( not dsmp) we would pure genuine critique/anáyses/meta of a character on their main tag. The only moments we didn't do that were if it was hate or when the Op didn't want fans of that character to interact with the post. There's the anti/crit tags for a reason. There's the block button for a reason. if you don't want to see that stuff you can block op or blacklist it. Hell, you can evan blacklist urls if you want. They don't need to span or harass ppl for that. Also tumblr tagging is weird??? I talked on the tags once about a ship and it showed on the main tag of that ship

Ok ok. So hate is a strong word. I should probably have put conflicted. Bc I get it. I know every so often I go on a they are so unhealthy and toxic rant, and well they are. Merlin sees Arthur as a person he always knows better than (which he does but not the point) and can make humungous life changing decisions for often through manipulation and gaslighting without giving a second thought for his free will, while also putting him on such an absurd pedestal he is blind to all his faults at the cost of the entire kingdom. Arthur sees Merlin as someone without his own thought and feelings and goals in life, he never questions his obsessively faithful service and he repays him with physical, verbal and emotional abuse. BUT that's not why I don't like it. In fact it used to fascinate me how messed up they are and how doomed and tragic they make their story, and it truly baffles me how much the fandom focuses on how 'cute' they are instead of going is that fucked up or what!! But anyway. I don't like it because it's. Fucking. EVERYWHERE. You can't get away from it! Even if you blacklist it on here and escape the brunt of the posts, you still go on any ship tag on Ao3 and it is 90% Merthur. The sheer oversaturation of it is what made me hate it, and I'm not saying it's a problem that needs to be fixed bc ppl will ship what they want, that's the point, but it is so seen as the default and it's also more than a little galling to ship any other ship in this fandom especially rarepairs and have even your own spaces and posts taken up by and tagged as Merthur. Also how Gwen’s been treated because of it is just- I would be far more neutral/open to it if there was less and if there was more new content I actually wanted to read really that's the crux of it just more rarepair content I'm begging y'all but as it is I get petty and deliberate exclude it as much as possible from everything I create :'))

As for the rest, idfk who Jo is, but if they’re one of the people who I responded to from that post who was calling me a pedophile for enjoying a ship they decided was pedophilic (why they chose to look at a ship and immediately picture someone in their mid-twenties banging a 14-year-old I’ll never know, but that sounds like a them problem and certainly not mine), then I stand by whatever I said to them because every time I reblogged that post I was increasingly inundated with the worst takes imaginable, and none of the people who reblogged that post to clown on it was kind, helpful, or a sweetheart. They were, in fact, bullies shouting buzzwords because they decided something was canon that was never stated and then decided to project on me.

Even funnier, yall only seem to care about ‘talking over poc’ when it’s ppl in your camp making erroneous claims about the morality of a fucking ship (and shitting on literally everyone in interracial relationships and multicultural families irl in the process), and not when it’s yall talking over the many poc who ship zutara and have been saying you’re wrong all this time.

Clearly, you have no problem sending anon hate, since you had no issue clicking anon and sending this ask. It’s you who I hope gets your life together, since for all my sins (and there are many, no one’s perfect), I’ve never once felt the need to be an asshole in someone’s inbox over something they ship. Like most mature adults, I’m capable of curating my own fandom experience. If I don’t like ships, I filter them through my blacklist, and if I want to complain about them, I use the appropriate anti and salt tags so that people who enjoy the ship don’t have to see it in the main ship tags. Clearly, these are vitally important life skills you have yet to acquire, and I feel genuinely sorry for you.

Just ignore it truly. It's not worth anyone's time. They are quiet mean with the concept of their blog but like you said, people should learn to block who they don't want to interact with. We don't like people bashing us for our ships and opinions and we block what we don't like, the same way you made the list of those blogs that you don't want people interacting with you, that could also be harassment. Just ignore it the blog.

Aaand as always the wise anon appears. Because when it's not about them some ppl are so wise, so above drama, so they tell you to not react when you're insulted because it's not worth it.

I'd really like to see them in my place tbh, but hey, they're on anon, who knows who they are huh. Did you noticed how most ppl hating lotor are klantis? That's why we don't take them seriously. Also I feel that lotura is gonna be bigger for the next season and I'm a little scared for it and the ship getting hate. For now we are just a rarepair but for the next season they will have a powerful connection and that would make the ship more susceptible to get hate. :(

lol, I’m not actually sure I know what a klanti is, anti k//ance I’m assuming? As far as Lotura goes whenever I see anything kinda sketchy in the now pre-s5 if anything I’ve noticed more ‘hate’(thats a little strong of a word so I’ll use scare quotes) coming from other shippers or folks who like  Lotor but want him with no one. 

I imagine if anything favors lotura in s5 it’s gonna embolden  some of these people to start bothering people instead of just blacklisting the tag like a normal person. You can already see some people acting all scared now with the whole “HUEH HUEH am I the only one who  hopes Allura and Lotor don’t fall for each other *fart noises*” #tagged

Hey, I have a question about your darkfic post. I didn't know about it's connection to survivors and all that, and I always had a problem with them (not "attack the writer and readers" kinda problem, more the "ignore and disdain" variation), in particularly in the HP and PJO fandoms, because they often involve bashing characters that I love (Dumbledore, the Weasleys and Annabeth are the most common targets I've seen), so I wanted to educate myself on that particular aspect of darkfics

My personal take, and the one i see most often shared in darkfic communities or by ppl that engage with it, is that it is not in anyway inherently wrong for you dislike it or parts of it. You're allowed to dislike and not want to engage with content that bashes characters or stories you love. You're allowed to dislike content bc you think it's gross. You're allowed to dislike content for literally any reason or no reason at all. Anyone who tries to say or act otherwise is not someone i would want to be around.

But you already said yourself the most important thing to me about this particular issue: "ignore and disdain"

If you dislike something for any reason or something is harmful to you in anyway, it is your right and your responsibility to take steps to protect yourself from it. Blacklisting, blocking, reading warnings and making an informed decision to not engage with the material. There's nothing at all wrong with that, it's the healthy and mature way to deal with it.

(And a side note to this: talking about things you dislike on your own personal blog is also not inherently wrong and does not throw you into the weird fandom purity culture that a lot of the posts i reblog talk about.
