In search of Fandom Ambassadors!

There's a lot we don't know yet about FTH2025 in part because there's a lot we don't know about what 2025 will look like in the US. But one thing we do know is that this next auction -- our ninth! -- will definitely be happening! No matter who the next US president is, there are progressive causes that need our help and support. And we also know that we're hoping to pick up some new fandom ambassadors for a handful of specific fandoms.

(What is Fandom Trumps Hate?)

Hey, what's a fandom ambassador? A fandom ambassador is someone who helps raise the profile of FTH within a specific fandom, especially fandoms that have small showings in the auction. (FTH is way more fun when there are at least half a dozen fanworks being offered in your fandom!) We the auction organizers can make all the general posts we want asking people to get involved, but those kinds of appeals hit different when they're coming from a friend or from a recognizable name.

So if you're someone who:

a) has roots in a specific fandom with small FTH turnout OR a new fandom that you want to see in the auction

b) has participated in the auction in the past, and

c) is interested in helping drum up interest among your friends/communities in that fandom

...we'd love to hear from you! Please fill out this quick form and let us know that you're interested. Fandom ambassadors will get support from FTH in making posts aimed at your fandom in the weeks leading up to the auction.

Crack headcanon: The real reason Mori wants a member of the Agency transferring to the Port Mafia is because he’s sick and tired of being the (almost) only organisation without a detective.

The Agency is made up of many detectives but if you ask any of them who’s THE detective everyone would all agree it’s Ranpo.

The Guild have Poe who is both an accomplished detective and mystery writer.

While we know little about The Order of the Clock Tower we can assume the detective role is filled by Dame Agatha Christie. Considering her namesake and the name of her ability.

For a short while The Rats in the House of the Undead had Mushitaro as a member. While not an official detective his namesake wrote mysteries. And you know his ability is literally called “the perfect crime.”

And he literally solved an issue using mystery novel logic so it counts.

The Hunting Dogs don’t but I feel like that’s the point. Fukuchi wouldn’t want anyone to know what he’s doing and he was already so paranoid about Ranpo.

Though not without trying given they did try to recruit Kunikida.

So maybe Mori is just a bit fed up and feels left out.

Maybe that’s why he wants Dazai back because hey you’re my old executive and a detective it’s perfect. But Dazai said no so he gotta find someone else. He’s not having much luck so far.

you know, like "whomst could haveth seenth this come forth, that blessid ben thei that suffren persecusioun for riytfulnesse, for the kingdam of heuenes is herne" or something like that and then everyone just stares at him while he confidently holds his head high like he made a genius point and then agatha just sighs and translates and turns out he just said something like "what are we having for dinner"

but during a crisis or an important scene he suddenly speaks perfect modern english, zero goofiness, which makes it at least 50x more impactful
