“Mother, I crave violence,” a small child interrupts the video call, practically clambering up into Nightingale’s chair. They look around five or so, with white hair and red eyes. Albino perhaps? 

“Ah, apologies, let me take care of this real quick,” Nightingale turns the microphone off when he gets a few acknowledging noises, picking the small child up and moving them from the room. 

“Cute kid,” Barry acknowledged from behind his coworker’s head, having been helping move things. Actually, the kid looked kind of familiar, though from where, who knew. Hard to remember everything with how fast his thoughts usually went. “I didn’t know Nightingale was a father…” 

Then again the specialist was notoriously private, and set most meetings online thanks to some sort of medical conditions. So he supposed it would make it easier to be a stay at home dad if he was there already…

I think Astrid Hofferson has a bad case of the 'my childhood was wasted, I grew up too fast for something ultimately proven pointless.' Syndrome and that she deserves to get to do silly things she missed out on and take up new hobbies, even if she's not particularly good at them–it's purely for the experience yknow, and learn to finally breathe no longer needing to be on constant high alert and get to be truly happy

Yandere!Boothill is deeply intriguing to me. This is a man who has nothing to lose; everything he has loved, everything he has had, has burnt to ashes or crumbled to dust beneath the weight of the world. Imagine somewhere along his travels through the cosmos, he meets you, and falls in love.

Boothill has not felt love in a very long time.

He sees his love as a small, raw, pitiful thing, so weak, so breakable, but so strong, so enduring. As much as he can while he stays on your home planet, he orchestrates your paths to cross as much as possible, laying on his charm thick.

If—and when, in Boothill's mind—you fall for him, he is quick to bring you with him to the next stop on his journey. He can't just leave you behind, in danger, just like all his loved ones. No, he can't do that. You give him a purpose in life, that sweet, addicting feeling of trusting someone wholeheartedly. If he lost you, he would shatter at the seams.

In the chance that you manage to escape his extremely watchful gaze, he goes from charming cowboy to a true follower of Lan. He most definitely plants at least one tracking device on you, and if that fails, well, he isn't a Galaxy Ranger for nothing. Boothill will relentlessly chase you down, from country to country, planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy. He'd even transcend the universe or become an Aeon if it meant he would find you.

When he inevitably does, he's mad. But after the initial rush of rage dies down, what's left behind is soft and hesitant. He'll brush the hair out of your face and kiss away your tears, careful to keep your movements constricted but avoid hurting you.

You'll learn to love him again, Boothill consoles, pulling you in tighter. His metallic hands are frigid as they press into your back. He tucks his head against the crook of your neck, as though making sure you're real.

After all, he can't lose you. Even if it means keeping you tucked away, hidden from the rest of the universe.

Assorted jercy head canons from yours truly

both have zero self worth, they reassure each other and built each other up over time

both have a hard time expressing emotions. especially: Percy worries over things he thinks will make him look stupid (or, more recent fear, scary), and Jason anything that would make him look weak

Percy has bad internalized homophobia, no matter how accepting his mom is, Gabe's insults left a mark on his brain, he just feels gross and wrong and doesn't know what to do (yes, it gets better, but it's rough)

Percy thinks Jason’s glasses are very cute, he steals them sometimes and Jason thinks he’s fucking adorable, unfortunately, to see this, he has to get pretty close. like kissing distance close

Jason is 6’4. Percy is 6’3. There is fucking relentless short jokes.

Percy, despite being only ~10 months older, is also teased about being old. He tells Jason to respect his elders.

These two are so fucking cuddly. Like, it took a while before they were both on the same page, but now they're both so constantly in each other's space. always touching, always just near each other

Jason is a nice guy, he grew up trying to be Approachable and Nice, he tends to give out compliments bc people seem to like that (see above: autism), so naturally he compliments Percy and Percy 404's. he does not what to do, no idea how to take compliments (from his mom is normal but anyone else? weird). Jason does it even more just to see him blush (guaranteed result)

Cuddle and listen to audiobooks/podcasts together

Whoever introduced them to audiobooks/podcasts either thinks it's adorable or regrets everything, maybe both

Jason lighting round: cannot cook, can draw, bites his nails, king of lil kisses, car trauma, loves to play with Percy's hair, is scared of thunderstorms, the really loud ones that shake everything, likes to wear beanies (good sensory on his short hair)

Percy lightning round: best cook, loves gardening, grows some of his own food/veggies/spices, has so many fun piercings (pls hc your own favorite ones for him, I can never pick), has a weird relationship with food post-tartarus, also really sensitive to light post-tartarus, has long hair, dissociation problems and rsd, steals Jason's clothes (they're grounding)
