AN INDIE EXPRESS… // “DARE ME” is the second single from @beachfossilsnyc’s forthcoming LP titled ‘Bunny’ (6/2 @bayonetrecords) & it finds Dustin Payseur’s Brooklyn-based project waxing upon “conflict, friendship, & the intoxication of new love… willing to let yourself be stupid, vulnerable, pissed off & forgiving” over a tidy 2 ½ mins of guitar-driven DreamPop. @chainofflowersband are here w/ “THE WALL,” the second single from their forthcoming sophomore LP titled ‘Never Ending Space’ (5/26 @_a_l_t_e_r_) & it finds the London by way of Cardiff based outfit sounding wholly “reunited & rejuvenated” across 4+ mins of first_waving, sultrily shimmered & The Horrors-esque PostPunk… that sax tho!! “KEYS DOWN IF YOU STAY” (@firetalkrecs) is a new standalone single from @band_cola & it finds Montreal-based trio of former Ought members Tim Darcy (vocals/guitar) & Ben Stidworthy (bass) alongside US Girls drummer Evan Cartwright bringing their drowsily deadpanned & meticulously minimal brand of post_punking BummerPop. @wearefacs are here w/ “CONSTELLATION,” the final single in the run-up to their forthcoming EP titled ‘Still Life In Decay’ (4/7 @troubleinmindrecords) & it finds the Chicago-based trio of Alianna Kalaba (bass), Noah Leger (drums) & Brian Case (guitar/vocals) bringing a terse bout of rangy & nervously taut ArtRawk. “LITTLE DOGS” is the final single in the run-up to @mudhoney_’s forthcoming LP titled ‘Plastic Eternity’ (4/7 @subpop) & it finds the Seattle-based quartet of vocalist Mark Arm, guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison & drummer Dan Peter paying homage to undersized hounds (& maybe The Stooges) over 3 mins of playfully goofed AltRawk.
