who the fuck is this guy?? (daima speculation post)

Because I am desperately clawing at information and checking the news every 10 seconds compulsively, I thought I'd put my energy into speculating what Dragon Ball Daima is going to bring us because oh my god i'm so excited So my object of my interest is this person, who is very clearly the same species as the Supreme Kais. Here are my very cool, totally high quality screenshots (they are not)

The safe assumption is that this is a Makaioshin, a Demon Supreme Kai, which I think is likely true and likely the route they're gonna go. All fingers point to Goku and Shin's adventure taking them to the demon realm, and the demon realm is also a topic we've seen Shin have a ton of knowledge in (some reasons unfortunate)

BUT WHO IS THIS??????

So okay I have 4 theories, some I believe a bit more than others. insert my very cool art that I spent several hours on (i did not) ---

1.) The person in the trailer is Shin's twin or sibling and poses as his natural opposite. This is one of the simpler theories and also my favorite. It would be a lot of fun for the narrative, because it brings a lot of personal weight as to why Shin would want to be a part of this journey and also possibly give some insight as to why the majin/folks from the demon realm seem to have it out for the Supreme Kais so badly anyway. We know that this person likely holds a grudge from the Buu Saga ordeal, but the contempt for the Supreme Kais seemed to predate Bibidi and Buu invading the Sacred Land of the Kais. It would be interesting if there is family drama and jealousy is a factor, maybe this person was meant to be a Supreme Kai's apprentice anyway but Shin got it instead. It could be Shin's fault that they're in the demon realm at all. The possibilities are endless! (Also I would really love on-screen lore about their species)

I also really like this theory because Beerus also has a twin brother and the design differences I find very amusing. Also it would track that Beerus's twin hates Beerus because one time he ate a cake or whatever, but Shin's twin wants to eradicate everything Shin knows and loves because he looked at him wrong or something ---

2.) There's some interdimensional timeline bullshit happening and the person on the screen is actually a Shin fusion. I feel like there'd have to be a lot of plot shenanigans for this to work, but the idea that this person is actually a fusion has been thrown around some and I think it's neat. Most notable to me is that they look VERY SIMILAR to Shin but with some key differences, mostly that he's tall and has a different nose. Eye shape and hair are pretty similar and I also found it interesting that the coat is very similar to Shin's palette in Super, though with sleeves/pants/boots matching Shin's Daima palette. It is totally possible this is just a coincidence, especially since Kibito has pretty much the same palette as Shin in Daima but they're not connected at all

So, narratively, what would this do? The timeline placement for Daima is a big point of debate because we're given conflicting information: the two biggest points people point to is Shin and Kibito being defused which only happens around Battle of Gods, and Chi-Chi and Bulma's hairstyles which we only see after Buu Saga in DBZ. It is extremely likely that Daima is canon especially because Akira Toriyama was heavily involved in the story and characters, but how it ties in to the canon right now is a big question mark. It's totally possible that a very huge fuckup happened to cause a "fall from grace" that couldn't be fixed with dragon balls, maybe even the very same adventure that Goku and Shin are on at that point in the anime, and the character we see here is trying to prevent it while working in the demon realm. It's possible he's not actually a villain either and has multiple motives. He shows contempt after seeing Shin on screen, possibly lamenting past actions. I don't really think this theory is that likely (I think a lot of the similarities can just be explained with someone who knows Shin), but it goes down a thread that I think is pretty cool. ---

3.) Entirely new character with no connection to Shin other than mirrored occupations. I think this is the most boring option and probably also the most likely one. I'm down for new characters but I just find them having a more personal connection would be way more fun. Still, he seems to hate Shin (and it's likely that Shin knows him) so it'll be interesting to see what's going on there!

Even if this theory is the one that's the most likely, I still think it'll be a great time and I think would still open an avenue for us to learn a lot more about the Supreme Kais, the canon Demon Supreme Kais, and the demon realm as a whole. I really hope they can deal with this in a great way that doesn't cause any imbalance with the God of Creation/God of Destruction stuff ---

4.) Shin and this character are LITERALLY two halves of the same person who changed in their environments, kind of like Kami and Demon King Piccolo. I feel like this isn't the most likely route either because it would kind of dampen Kami and Piccolo's whole thing AND it would make no sense because Zamasu is an evil little bastard and their species is shown to have their own morals/values on a spectrum of good/evil, but I think this opens up an interesting can of worms that maybe the Supreme Kai's species can split themselves in order to fulfill certain roles for the universe (considering they can also split entire planets/duplicate life)

No one I know of has talked about this and it's driving me crazy but I think there's going to be a subplot about Demon King Piccolo for specifically for two reasons: 1.) BLUE DRAGON BALLS 2.) This screenshot

WHO THE FUCK IS THIS DUDE????? THAT LOOKS LIKE A NAMEKIAN TO ME Also he's DEMON KING Piccolo, he was the demon king (I assume) before Dabura, who our mystery character likely served as well. However, it's also totally possible I'm speaking out of my ass and Demon King(tm) is just a nickname for Kami's other half pre-our Piccolo, but I think that would be kind of lame so I like to think he was an actual demon king.

This is to say, maybe Kami learned how to expel all the evil from himself by seeking guidance of the other gods, and it's something that the Supreme Kais have done before and kind of need to do to keep tabs on the demon realm. OR this is just Namekian stuff and I desperately want to combine lore. You decide!

It is certainly fun to think about though! I think even if this route is possible, it doesn't mean that Supreme Kais are always going to be inherently good; their experiences shape them, and we also see this happen with Kami's evil half in the newly reborn Piccolo. Characters born to be evil do not necessarily stay evil, and characters born to be good do not necessarily stay good. Even so, I think this route would kind of fuck a lot of balance that the story tries to establish already so I think the Namekian stuff will probably be separate from who this character is. Still, I wanted to throw this out there

IN CONCLUSION... I dunno I still think the twin route is the most fun but I think there are really interesting plot threads that could happen. I feel like Daima will be lore heavy even though it's framed as a lighthearted adventure, so I hope to learn a lot. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, but when news is scarce I can't help but speculate the shit out of what we have. Feel free to let me know what y'all think!

The grim scowl adopted from the Saiyan Prince would startle anyone, but his expression softened with a gentle smile once his eyes met yours, laughing at your spook.

"Don't scare me like that!" You playfully swatted at his chest before pushing yourself into his form to wrap him in your arms. His warmth quickly takes away the cold from your body and you feel yourself harmonize with the even beat of his heart. His large hand holds you close, cradling your head to him in the shared sensation. You should be questioning his presence but you've learned to take what you could get from him and not waste the time you had together. Bulma and Chi Chi must be wondering where their husbands are, however. "What are you doing here so late?" You asked, lifting your head from his chest and stepping back to look at him, catching his other hand closed around something. When you tilted your head down at it, he lifted it up to your gaze. "Is that Bulma's dragon ball radar? Did something happen?" You followed up, now cautious of some danger that must have caused Goku and Vegeta to fuse together.

Gogeta shook his head in response, pulling back from you to walk to the window. "I summoned Shenron." He plainly explained. His grip tightened around the dragon radar and then he let out a sigh. "I wished for him to make me exist as my own being."

Your eyes lit up at his confession, your mouth dropping open in awe. "Do you mean...Are you not Goku and Vegeta's fusion anymore?" You eagerly asked walking up behind him. Gogeta lowers his head.

"No, that's not it. Shenron could not grant me that wish." He revealed joylessly. "So then I asked him to make the fusion permanent instead and even that was beyond his power. The combined strength of Goku and Vegeta is too much for Shenron to duplicate into my own body or extend my time in this form." Thoughtfully folding his arms against his chest, he turned his gaze back out the window. "So I started to wonder... if I could wish away the memories of Goku and Vegeta from Bulma and Chi Chi, and vice versa." His head tilts down again as he lets out a soft laugh. You felt an ache in your chest at his confiding, taking a step away from him as he turned to look at you with his same, gentle smile. "I thought to myself all that would remain is my connection to you. I gained the power to make them fuse whenever it's available to me, and the rest of it would no longer be a hassle." He continued casually, then shrugged his shoulders as if what he just spelled out to you was nothing. He would take away Bulma and Chi Chi's soulmates and not think twice about it.

"T-That's...awful. How could you want that?!" You were rightfully revulsed by that notion or to hear he would be capable of going through with such a cold act. Goku and Vegeta would not have sat back and allowed it to happen, the results of that wish being left open made you worry. Gogeta could not claim his affection for you existed in the two saiyans if it were not the other way around as well, there must be some care in him for their wives. "Don't you love them at all?"

"...I do." Gogeta confirms as his smile turns to a frown, looking into your eyes and lightly shaking his head. "But it doesn't compare to your own." At the time, it seemed like a painless option to get close to what he wanted. Being together with you was all that mattered. He would no longer carry that love for Chi Chi and Bulma and he couldn't miss what they would not remember. But some forces in this world were stronger than even him. "That's why even if I wanted to, I couldn't make such a cruel wish."

Even relieved that he didn't go through with it you further shrunk away from him, turning away. Holding your mouth as you quietly cried. You felt yourself filled with great despair and frustration that allowing yourself to give in to it was the only way to escape from it. "Why would you come to tell me this?" You sobbed, wiping your eyes.

Gogeta sighed deeply, quietly. He could never hide his woes from you. He let your feelings sink into his chest and allowed them to run their course. Too rugged to process them as you had his, but his insight into your heartache was clear. He then smiled again, a melancholic one as he looked to the floor and rubbed the back of his neck. "I knew you would forgive my selfishness." He admits. Only you could understand where his heart was, the depth of his yearning to always be by your side by any means necessary— Yet, powerless to change the nature of his existence and fullfill his role in your life. You recognize it because it's what you feel when he is not around. Gogeta could hear your voice in the *Metamora realm and see your silhouette whenever you were in the presence of Goku or Vegeta, sensing your longing and unable to comfort you until he is given form again. No one but his soulmate could comprehend the torment that is and the envy of watching his divided parts connect with their soulmates. The fate of your bond is a cruel one for two souls who loved so deeply and were kept apart. There just has to be a way for him to be with you beyond fusion and he will find it.

You managed to compose yourself and turned back to face him, the mutually desired comfort drawing you close to him as you tried to dry your eyes. You sauntered into his awaiting arms and he clutched you tight in his vested chest.

"I would never ask that of you— I would never want it that way."

"I know," Gogeta spoke softly, resting his chin on the top of your head as his fingers began to stroke the base of your skull. "I admit I am selfish, I can't help that. I will always do what needs to be done." For you, it would be anything. As long as he could feel you in his hands, unrestricted by time, then there was no consequence he would not endure.

"I know this isn't easy..." You started but he shushes you. Letting the dragon radar fall to the floor, he collects your head in his hands and leans in for a strong and starving kiss to your lips.

"I have twelve minutes." He broke away to say, stealing your breath as he captured your lips again, muffling his next words. "Give me twelve minutes..." His arm guides your hips in closer, securing you against his form to indulge your sweet kiss. From one body to the other and back, the shared neediness took hold and reduced you both to gripping hands and wet lips.

"E-Eleven." You corrected in a breathless moan as you stripped his vest down his muscular arms. The last minute was normally left to prepare himself to unfuse, and to that he let out an annoyed huff.

"Twelve." He insisted, selfish desire rearing itself once again. He wanted every second down to the last.

Dragon Ball GT 63

✨GT Stands For Get Trashed✨

Last time, Goku and Vegeta lost their Super Saiyan 4 forms, leaving them virtually defenseless against Omega Shenron.  I mentioned this before, but Vegeta brings it up in this episode.  In theory, they could fuse in their base form and turn SSJ4 that way, but, as Goku points out, it won’t work because Goku’s stuck in this kid body, which means their sizes don’t match up well enough for Fusion. 

And with no one left to stop him, Omega decides to destroy the Earth.  I think this is the same Minus Energy Power Ball he used in Episode 60.  He refers to this one not being as big as the one he used before, so I can’t imagine what else he would be talking about.  Also, Omega has said that he needs all seven Dragon Balls in order to deply MEPB, so this is the first time he’s been able to do it since he lost the Four Star Dragon Ball in Episode 60.

And Vegeta makes a valiant attempt to stop it from hitting the Earth, but...

... Goku knocks him out of the way and takes on the Power Ball himself.  This is kind of dumb.   At least Vegeta had a little gas in the tank left.  He may not be able to maintain Super Saiyan 4, but he hasn’t been fighting as long as Goku has, so he had a better chance of repelling this thing. 

And sure, this is Goku’s show, but it’s kind of annoying how aggressively Toei pushes Goku to the forefront in this series.  Like, if they wanted him to catch this attack, just have him catch the attack.  But no, he has to tackle Vegeta so he can get bonus points for being so selfless. 

So how in the hell is Goku resisting this kind of power?  He couldn’t lay a finger on Omega Shenron in the last couple of episodes, and now he’s pushing back Omega’s finisher.  GT Logic, that’s how.  Goku is simultaneously weak and strong.

Somehow, Goku stops the thing from destroying the whole planet, but it still makes a big enough explosion to leave a giant hole in this city they’ve been fighting in. 

Satisfied that Goku has been killed, Omega Shenron gets busy destroying the world. Well, now he’s gonna do it the slow way, I guess.  I mean, can he not do another Minus Energy Power Ball, or is this just how he’d rather play it?  Anyway, he restores the field of Minus Energy around the Earth, but instead of that multi-colored haze, it turns the sky dark instead, which is a much cooler effect. 

Also, disasters start to happen all over the planet.  I think this was happening anyway, but it’s happening faster now.

And that really fires up Vegeta, because he’s already lived through the destruction of one home planet.  He refuses to stand by and let it happen again.  So he charges back into action, but before he goes, he tells Trunks to evacuate the others in Bulma’s spaceship, and then Trunks, Goten, and Gohan can train somewhere and avenge their fathers.

But they don’t follow his orders.   Instead they send the others on ahead, and go back to support Vegeta’s last stand.  Even Chi-Chi approves, which is pretty rare for this franchise.  Weird how Uub isn’t joining them, seeing as how this series opened with him becoming the nominal protector of the Earth.

Anyway, yeah, Vegeta’s attack is a non-starter.  Omega beats him and the boys without any trouble at all.

Then Omega knocks him over by the crater and tells Vegeta he can share a grave with Goku, but Vegeta laughs when he sees what’s down there...

Yep, it’s Goku with a Spirit Bomb!  And apparently he’s been working on it the whole time Vegeta was trying to make his last stand. 

Let’s talk about why this sucks.

✨"Good" "Ideas", Poorly Executed✨

So first and foremost, this is a cheap rip-off of the Spirit Bomb Goku used to defeat Kid Buu at the end of Dragon Ball Z.  I get that Toei loves their Spirit Bomb finishes, and that they used this trick in four different DBZ movies, but this is just sad.  The big finish to GT is nothing more than a pale imitation of the big finish of Z.  What a crock.

Making matters worse is the fact that we only spend about half an episode on this Spirit Bomb, which means Goku has to speedrun all the stuff he did to make it work against Kid Buu.  Remember how he needed King Kai to put him in touch with the people of Earth so he could take all the power they could give him?  Well, they just skip over that.  By the time this Spirit Bomb is revealed, Goku’s already received all the power he can get from the Earth’s population.  We don’t know how he contacted everyone to ask for it, but somehow that happened.

We know he didn’t have help from King Kai this time, because he doesn’t contact King Kai until after he’s made it this far.  Instead, he asks King Kai to contact the rest of the universe, so he can borrow power from them as well.

And you might argue that this “Universal” style is what makes the GT Spirit Bomb unique, but I don’t buy it.  The Spirit Bomb Goku used on Kid Buu also had power from the Namekians, as well as Otherworld.  Sure, this one gets more planets to join in, but that only makes the Bomb bigger, not more original.

And putting all these morts from the Grand Tour kind of makes this Spirit Bomb worse, if you asked me.  The Para Brothers ruin everything they touch, is all I’m saying.

Why is this kid still in the hospital?  Oh, right, silly question.  He has to pretend to be sick because the hospital is the only place to get food on this dumb planet.

So you might be asking why Omega Shenron doesn’t attack Goku while he assembles this Spirit Bomb.  Well, he does attack Goku, and the blasts just... don’t hurt him.  At all.  And to be fair, Kid Buu pulled the same stunt, but I chalked that up to Kid Buu just taking potshots to goad Goku into moving out of position.  Omega’s a lot smarter than that, so you would think all of his blasts would be strong enough to kill Goku, or at least hurt him enough to thwart Goku’s plan.  But no.  Goku just sort of bounces and shakes with each hit, but nothing happens.  Which... I mean, he did withstand that Minus Energy Power Ball earlier, so who the fuck knows anymore?

So yeah, Goku’s just invincible now, which sort of begs the question of why he didn’t try this from the start.  I mean, if he can just float there and be indestructible until he throws an irresistible attack, then why didn’t he try this on Baby and Super 17?

Anyway, Goku throws the bomb, it works, and it digs a big trench in the ground because that’s what happened in the Kid Buu fight.  And we know Omega’s really dead this time because we can see all seven Dragon Balls restored to their original appearance. 

Then Shenron just appears unbidden, which is a first.  The narrator wonders if something is going to happen.  Yeah, good eye, narrator.

✨Positivity Page✨

I hate this episode for ripping off the climax of the Buu arc, but I do enjoy seeing Omega’s bones as his body dissolves in the Spirit Bomb.  It’s the one thing Buu couldn’t offer, since he’s boneless and all. 

And this means the Shadow Dragons are finally all dead, so no more of their bullshit for the rest of this series.  I mean, there’s only one episode left, but it’s still a relief.

✨Is This Episode Worse than "The Roaming Lake"?✨

Yes.  This episode is trash.

None of this makes any sense.  Goku’s stuck in his base form because of the beating he’s been taking for the last six episodes, and yet he’s shrugging off attacks that are enough to bring down Vegeta, no matter which Super Saiyan form he uses.  Omega Shenron is rightly terrified of the Spirit Bomb, but he just stands there like an idiot and lets it hit him.  Oh, right, that was the other thing they didn’t rip off from the Kid Buu fight.  In Z, Kid Buu forced the Spirit Bomb back toward Goku, who was too exhausted to stop it.  Here, Goku just overwhelms Omega in seconds, even though Goku should be just as weary here, and Omega is far more powerful than Kid Buu. 

We never see how he convinces the people of Earth to help him make the Spirit Bomb.  We also never see how the four Kais convince all of the planets in the universe to help Goku.  Most of the beings in the universe have never heard of the Kais or Goku, and they have no idea what’s happening on Earth right now, or that their worlds will be threatened next.  This is all just slapped together, like a student pulling an all-nighter on a term paper. 

And it’s all completely arbitrary.  In the Buu Saga, Goku never tried the Spirit Bomb because he didn’t think it could do any good.  That’s why Vegeta had to come up with a way to adapt it to the situation at hand.  Otherwise, Goku would have used it from the start and there would have been no story.  Here, Goku has the whole thing figured out on his own, so he was just... waiting to see if anything else might work instead? 

See, this is why you shouldn’t plagiarize, kids.  It’s not just the dishonesty.  When you copy stuff without understanding how it works, you lose the subtle touches that made it worth stealing in the first place.  Toriyama understood the Spirit Bomb, and how to use it in his stories, and when to use it, and how to hold off on using it without making the characters look dumb.  The people making GT were just like “It’s the end of the fight!  Time for the Spirit Bomb!”

Fusion Revived - CH 7 (Reunited)

SUMMARY: Majin Buu has been destroyed, and the Earth has known peace for close to a year now. Life hasn't been too peaceful for the person responsible for saving the world and the entire universe however, but when an ordinary woman meets him one day, things start to change.

No matter what she tried to distract herself with, she couldn’t rid herself of her worry. Whatever Chi Chi and Bulma wanted to talk about with him couldn’t have been good, and when Vegito didn’t return later that day, it spoke volumes. She tried to not think about it, knowing her place. It must have been a family matter, and she had no business involving herself there, lest she risk sparking more drama. She resigned to waiting for Vegito to come back on his own, however difficult it was.

The next day, it was another waiting period. She went about her day, going to work and returning in the evening, but there was no sign of him still. The anxiety grew.

On the third day, today, she’s had enough. She had a smaller shift, getting off in the afternoon, and she made up her mind to go directly to Capsule Corp and search for him. She just wanted to know if things were ok.

If they weren’t, she wanted to let him know that he could use her shoulders to lean on, if he needed it. The Saiyan had too much pride and emotional awkwardness to probably accept that offer, but at least she would get it off of her chest.

It was another average day for West City, though she hurried along its highway, face set with soft eyes and a deep frown. She mulled over what she was going to say when she got there, hoping that Bulma wouldn’t chase her away. Vegito made it clear to her that he and the scientist were not in a relationship, that having been settled way before he met her, so it wasn’t like Bulma could reasonably call her a homewrecker or anything.

Even if she did, she wouldn’t let that stop her from seeing Vegito.

She gripped her steering wheel firmly, maneuvering around the other cars as she exited the highway and entered the city’s inner streets. Capsule Corp was getting closer, and her impatience was growing, but she had to hit her brakes and go slower when she registered something very odd.

The sky was darkening, too quickly for it to be natural. Additionally, it was midday, and there weren’t enough clouds in the sky to blot out the sun. She looked around to see if she could spot the cause for it, and it did appear.

A colossal ray of light shot up into the sky from the center of the city, coiling as it rose. She watched with shock and awe as its shape changed, morphing into something that was serpentine. The yellow light faded to reveal an antlered green dragon with eyes a solid ruby-red, floating. Its head was angled down so it could gaze at the ground.

That had to be Shenron. Which meant… she looked to the source of its attention, right down to a circular building. The same one she was heading towards.

She fired up her engine, and sped there as fast as she could without breaking the speed limit.

The instant she parked her car, she jumped out of it, and ran into Capsule Corp. Vegito mentioned to her that he and his friends were the only people who usually gathered the dragon balls as they had a special device that could pinpoint each location of them across the globe, and they used Shenron only for what was absolutely needed. Someone here, or multiple people, were going to make wishes and she had to find out why.

There were employees out here and there, who quickly shifted to stand against the sides of the rooms and halls as she ran past. Common sense was telling her to ask them where Shenron had been summoned, but a stronger sense of urgency kept her moving with her jaw clamped shut. Recalling that there was an area right next to the building that was used for recreational purposes, she set her sights there.

Her lungs were burning, but she pushed herself forwards, jogging to the set of sliding doors that led outside. They opened, and she skid to a stop.

There was a group gathered around glowing spheres on the ground, which the end of Shenron’s body faded into. She recognized Goten and Trunks immediately. Their heads whipped around when she appeared, and they looked surprised. There were other people present she didn’t recognize however, like a man with spiky black hair who stood next to Goten. He too stared at her, puzzled, and she took in how his facial features were very similar to Goten’s. Distantly, similar to Vegito’s as well.

She noticed a blue-haired woman standing at the forefront, next to another woman who had black hair in a bun and who was wearing a Chinese dress with matching garb. The former had to be Bulma, and the latter…Chi Chi perhaps?

Bewildered, she jumped when a booming voice echoed through the air. Shenron’s jaws, lined with razor sharp teeth, moved.

“Your wish shall be granted.”

Its eyes glowed, the intense red blood-curdling. Quietly, she panicked, realizing that she just missed what Bulma and Chi Chi requested from the eternal dragon…

He threw another bone onto the pile with the rest, finished with his meal.

He’s stayed on this island ever since he left Capsule Corp in a fit of rage, and has taken time to think over things. Taking breaks from his brooding, and occasional exercises to work off more steam, the Saiyan did some hunting for food. Despite how terrible he felt, he still had an appetite, and he couldn’t ignore it.

The fish and birds he caught and roasted over a fire were good enough. The simplicity of it, and the alike circumstances, brought him back to the troubling time of his temporary living arrangements a year ago. Bulma and Chi Chi needed time to cope with the loss of their husbands, so he virtually had to live outdoors for a handful of days before Bulma decided to let him stay at Capsule Corp. It didn’t bother him, as both Goku and Vegeta had much familiarity with roughing it out in the wild, so he was content to hunt a dinosaur and have it be his dinner.

Words couldn’t describe how satisfying and vitalizing it was to eat something delicious, as your literal very first meal. It’s the littlest things that had the most impact, and what has helped motivate him to not dwell on his…tragic origin. He was placed into this world with one duty, and he had to bear it, with the stress and the consequences of it all.

Currently, Vegito sat at the edge of a cliff that overlooked the ocean, absent-mindedly watching the tide roll into the beach below. Deciding on what to do has proven impossible. It was far too difficult a situation to solve, and he would love to see someone else try to piece this baffling puzzle together in his shoes. At this point, his only hope would be that the women’s plan would fail. If it did, then-

“Gah…!”

He lurched forward, when a burst of pain sliced through him vertically from his head down to his midsection all of a sudden. It wasn’t necessarily a physical ache, but something extremely uncomfortable that cut right down to his ki. To his spirit. It was gut-wrenching, and it worsened until it became excruciating.

Vegito’s ki spiked and lowered erratically as his body tried to make sense of what was happening. His hair repeatedly turned from black to blonde, then back. He held his sides, groaning in agony and gritting his teeth.

A light had begun to shine within his chest, and gradually escalated in brightness.

…Did they do it…?

He tried to fight against it. He channeled his ki and powered up vastly, to get the ethereal force separating him to disperse. The pain did actually decline, but only a little bit.

It wasn’t enough. He could feel his strength draining.

In the recesses of his head, of his subconscious, there was a gap widening. Memories became scrambled and pulled apart, resulting in a migraine so severe that it trampled all the ones he’s had previously. The world around him fell into a haze he couldn’t see through. Before everything went dark, he did think about one particular thing.

He never got to say goodbye.

The light burst from his body. Vegito’s scream was cut short when his form faded into a glowing sphere that split into two parts.

They undulated and morphed, taking the shape of two adult men.

They stood, minds blank and regained senses delicate, as they took in their surroundings. They faced each other, wordlessly asking the same question, before it all rushed forward in a burst that made them flinch. They each experienced a flurry of their fusion’s memories, that begun when he was created and ended right at the location they were in.

They nodded at each other in acknowledgment, and the shorter of the two laid a hand on the other’s shoulder as he put two fingers to his forehead.

“Is there no other wish you desire?”

“No. That’s it.”

“I see. Farewell.”

Shenron’s body turned back into light, that was sucked into the dragon balls. The seven orbs ascended into the air, and slammed into each other, flying away in opposite directions that made them resemble small comets. The sky returned to its normal color.

No one said anything. Bulma and Chi Chi turned around, looking pleased with themselves. Their smiles dropped when they spotted her, but before a word was aired, there were two new people on the scene. Both of them were men of differing heights, and one of them had a translucent circle on top of his head.

Their faces were uncanny, and the one earring each of them wore…

… … …

The realization made her want to fall to the ground.

“Goku!”

“Vegeta!”

Their respective wives called out their names. They ran to them and embraced them with no restraint.

“Goku…oh Goku, it’s been so long…”

Chi Chi shed tears, and she buried her face into his chest. When he didn’t react, she pulled away.

“Goku…?”

Instead of at his wife - who he technically hasn’t seen in a very long time - he was staring at her.

So was Vegeta.

Their expressions were unreadable. She couldn’t take it.

Tears sprung from her eyes. Everyone present observed her as she backed away. Breaking into a run, she went back into the building and didn’t look back. A hand went to her lips in a futile attempt to soften her gasps for air.

Vegito was gone.

He was gone, and she never got a chance…

She reached the parking lot, and would have made a beeline to her car, but something grabbed onto the hem of her shirt.

“_____!” A youthful voice cried. “Please stay!”

Goten’s eyes were glossy. “Everything will be ok. You can be friends with my dad.”

Pain pierced her gut, and shot up to her heart. She appreciated the child trying to console her, but it couldn’t be helped.

“I…I-I’m sorry, but it wouldn’t be the same.”

At her reply, his lip puckered out, and his eyes sparkled with a visible fluid. A clamor of footsteps sounded in the distance, and the two were advanced upon by everyone else. Chi Chi stepped forward, teeth bared in a scowl.

“Get away from her, Goten!”

The boy let go of her clothing, but he shockingly didn’t do what Chi Chi commanded. He stared at his mother silently, dejected.

“You…” Chi Chi zeroed in on her. “I don’t know why you showed up, but this is a family matter that you have no right even seeing! Leave us.”

She was heartbroken, but she would be damned if she let this lady talk to her like that. A spark set off a flame, and her lip curled up in a snarl.

“You’re right. But Vegito was my friend. I cared about him, clearly more than you ever have! Which is ironic, considering who he was made of!”

She struck a nerve. Chi Chi was infuriated.

“How dare you! You don’t know WHAT you’re talking about!!”

Goku and Vegeta were staring at her again. She internally pleaded for them to stop.

“I know enough! I know that Vegito wanted to live! He had his own feelings, his own dreams! Despite that, he was committed to protecting all of you and this world, which was why he was even here to begin with! But you chose to kill him.”

She’s never been this livid before; her body was shaking all over. Chi Chi and Bulma looked like they were both about to pounce on her, they even inched forward, but an arm from each of their husbands shot out so they could halt them.

When the women gave them looks that asked what in the world they were doing, the men still didn’t speak. She had no guess as to what was going through their heads. She didn’t care either way. Her biggest priority now was to leave as soon as possible, as to not break down before all of these people who did not mourn the benevolent warrior.

“You two are so SELFISH.”

She ended her tirade. No one stopped her nor spoke further when she stomped towards her car, hopping in and speeding away once the engine was on.

In the confines of her vehicle, safe from prying eyes, her tears resumed with a vengeance. She cried.

She cried over the loss of the man who didn’t deserve this fate, and…

She cried over the loss of the chance she had, to make their friendship something more.

When she left, an awkward silence persisted in the group. Goku and Vegeta released their wives’ arms, and watched _____’s car zoom up the street and out of sight.

“…Daddy…?” Goten was first to speak, looking up at Goku with eyes brimming with tears. His eyes snapped towards the child, and after releasing a sigh of pent-up strain, he smiled.

“Hey buddy. Long time no see.”

Goten perked up, and leaped into his father’s arms. His older brother, Gohan, walked towards Goku and softly spoke a greeting with a bright smile that he returned. Chi Chi wordlessly stared at Goku embracing Goten, shocked and hurt that her husband stopped her from putting that ignorant stranger in her place.

Bulma too questioned why Vegeta did the same to her, but her happiness at seeing the perpetually-scowling man kept her from dwelling on it for the time being. Trunks was ecstatic himself.

“Dad! I missed you! So did Mom!”

“Hmph…” Vegeta’s frown didn’t falter, but he peered down at his son with fondness in his eyes. He didn’t look at all at Bulma, but she was unperturbed. Vegeta wasn’t one to get soft when she and him weren’t alone, and even then, he was soft in his own stoic way. She did make sure to point out an important detail, however.

“Vegeta, your halo. You’re still dead…?”

“Ooooh. That’s right, you never got revived.” Goku laughed. “That’s ok. I’ll go to Namek and use their dragon balls to wish you alive again.”

That small dilemma solved, the group dispersed, with the individual families looking to catch up with their respective members. Bulma and Trunks walked into Capsule Corp as Goku was surrounded by his wife and children, who all placed a hand on his body in preparation for he using Instant Transmission. Gohan informed him that his girlfriend, Videl, was waiting for their return at their Mt. Paozu home. He honed onto her ki, but didn’t teleport right then.

The two Saiyan men briefly made eye contact before the Son family vanished. They communicated without needing to speak.

‘Kakarot.’

‘I know, Vegeta.’

Headcanons for Goku x F!Saiyan Time Patroller Reader Pt. 3

RANDOM HEADCANON DUMP

Goku and TP have special wedding bands made for them by Bulma due to the one's purchased for their wedding being destroyed on Time Patrol Missions. They're just not practical for combat. The custom bands are made with the same material as saiyan armor, making their elasticity fit around their fingers comfortably and making them more durable. They also come with some special tech features that adds a voice message  function (Bonus: it beeps "Cha La Head Cha La" when they receive messages from each other. Bulma also was inspired to make a pair for her and Vegeta. Vegeta fussed about it, calling it tacky and needless, but its always on his finger.)

If they ever have children then one of them will be named Gohan, girl or boy. Keeping with the pattern of Bardock and Gine & Goku and Chi Chi of the true timeline, their 2nd born will be a spitting image of Goku.

Goku didn't officially lose his tail until him and Piccolo fought Raditz. Piccolo blew it off when Raditz had it in his grasp to subdue him, which allowed Goku to turn the tables and get a hold of Raditz's tail. It has not grown back since that battle.

If TP has a tail, he’s going to play with it. Carefully, though. Out of fond memories with his own all his life. He relied on the use of his tail for a lot throughout his lifetime and it had saved him on more than one occasion. He’ll brush down the fur of her tail and if she wraps it around him then he just can’t move from his place, this is his life now.

He is not above manipulating it for his own enjoyment and to have more intimate fun with her

While TP is Goku’s star pupil, Uub is his second favorite student. This does mean on occasion Uub joins them to train or just to hang out for a while. Uub’s unusual sweet tooth can sometimes become a distraction for him so Goku or TP will share money with him to buy as much treats as he wants from the restaurants in Conton.

Both Goku and Uub try to convince TP to practice the metamoran fusion technique with them.

This is their son now, Uub has two pair of parents I don’t make the rules.

(Inspired by AWP & TWYSILY#26) Goku displays some signs of Separation Anxiety that could stem back to his Grandpa’s death and how the 4-Star Dragon Ball became a comfort item for him in place of his presence as well as when Krillin died when they were still kids. It’s easy to believe he cherishes everyone equally to a high standard, but for those he loves a little more he tends to become worked up when something happens to them while he’s not around or worry of what can happen if he does leave in a bad situation.

 Goku is very good at assessing a threatening situation and can confidently make the decision to leave it to someone else or handle it on his own. Often, though, in life or death situations there are uncertainties he can’t account for and feels more confident about them overall if he is at least around. This also is due to this version of Goku having to think on his feet or somehow become the strongest in multiple situations where if he is not then it dooms everyone. Simply put: if he is around, his friends are less likely to die.

After they’ve been dating/married for a while, his desire to join TP on her missions have been misconstrued as just him looking to battle someone as tough as they sound, but Goku mostly doesn’t want anything to happen to her while he’s not there and feels comfortable when he’s with her. He tends to put up a fuss about it, but will concede to her wishes if she insists on him not going (especially if he’s supposed to be training other Time Patrollers). It’s not that he doesn’t trust her to do her job, he just likes to know it’s something that won’t turn ugly if he’s not there. He’s used to being the one having to make certain decisions to keep his friends and the Earth safe from each strenuous threat that comes their way as he’s always been the only one able to challenge them. So he admittedly worries when she goes on missions alone. There’s no control over a situation if he can’t be there to step in.

When she comes back, he tends to becomes more prone to physical touch and affection. He’s downright clingy and observant of her to make sure she’s as okay as she claims to be. His focus is only on her until he feels eased enough to give her space again.
