so many stores/companies are getting rid of their free rewards programs and just leaving any possible benefits to paid members... cash back, stamp cards (digital or physical) where if you buy 10 or so of X item over a year you get one free, even COUPONS are being hidden away behind apps that steal your data and paid memberships
discounts have been turned into a paid subscription or locked behind getting a credit card with them and it's like... i'm not getting a credit card for every place i shop i'm just not doing that

In my own experiences, I approach emails like I do cover letters (ala Luke Skywalker). First, a professional greeting: Dear/Hello is ideal, Hi is fine if it's a person you know in real life, have spoken to more than seven times, and isn't in a position of authority above you. Hi is for your work colleagues, not your hiring manager or teachers.
Next, establish who you are and why you are emailing. I am (name), a person with/from (college major/job department/location) and (further information, likely school ID or what you're working on to specify further who you are). You are (establish who they are to you, be it a contractor you got to fix your plumbing or a professor at another university who you wanna apply to work for) and I am writing to ask about/discuss/inform you of (topic of choice, ex. questions regarding homework, your plumbing business and work). I got your email address from (website or person who gave it to you, establishes further credibility that you're not a scam) and want to (goal of the conversation).
Then you fill out the bulk of the email. Asking questions? Write a few sentences to a paragraph for each category, like one on all your questions about pricing and another on expectations. Maybe add some background on why you are asking. Complaining? Address what happened to warrant a complaint and what you want done about it. Informing? Tell them what information you have.
Not all emails need to be long, but it's polite to make it at least three sentences if not more, overly short can come off as brusque or demanding. No paragraph should be more than seven sentences either, big blocks of text can be painful to read too.
End off on some pleasantries; thank you for your time, have an excellent day, I hope to hear back from you soon, all of these are good. Or combine them! Whatever fits the need.
Lastly, your sign off. Best/Thank You/Sincerely, (full name or internet handle, maybe include job title if it's relevant). This part draws straight from the days of letter writing so if you ever learned that, use it.

not to sound like a boomer, but I need some people to learn how to write emails in a semi-professional (at the very least) format so you're not cold emailing a business/potential employer/any other stranger about formal matters in the exact same way you'd DM a close friend on instagram
the formality/language can loosen up in the email chain once you've established a rapport and you match the other person if they're being less formal, but please don't have the very first email you send a stranger be written in all lowercase ultra-casual sms slang with no greeting or signature and a billion emojis
