Low key on Oliver and Ryan. Since we know they watch us. I think he was offended at people turning on Ryan. Sure they probably don't have scripts yet but they know the direction and were probably already told you know? It's why he never promoted the pairing or followed Lou. Especially when the other side made the attacks on Ryan so personal. It's a double offense really. They built this ship. Do you think Oliver is cool getting all the accolades and leaving Ryan behind for a wal mart version of Eddie??? Just know the other side, Oliver is judging you!!

Full conspiracy theory, but I keep saying Ryan has known where it's going and that's why he was locked into pr jail, and Oliver was just brought into the inner circle and that's why he looks so frustrated, but here's the thing, Oliver and Ryan know what they have in their hands when it comes to the impact buddie could have, there's no way they don't, and obviously, they would want that, the amount of exposure they could get from this is insane, and Oliver seems annoyed, just look at the way he refuses to talk about bt long or like you said, didn't follow Lou, or the absolute insanity of opening his Instagram after 710 just to like a video of the thumb thing and nothing else. Realistically dude is probably frustrated that Buck being bi stopped being about Buck, trapped him in a ship war and made people turn on the thing they've been working on for yeaaaaars and the way Lou was encouraging it probably didn't help. I don't blame Lou for capitalizing, if people wanted to pay me 145 dollars to talk out of my ass about a ship I would be doing it too, hell, I'm running this blog for free kapakapka. But my thing is, the plan was Eddie going first and that got switched mid production, so, again conspiracy theory, my thought process here is that Oliver and Ryan were told "okay abc is cool with it, we're pulling the trigger" because that would explain the way they were acting that week leading up to the season premiering, the way Ryan was just saying shit and Oliver was in a perpetual state of blushing, but then T was better received than expected and the showrunners decided to capitalize on that for longer than anticipated, because looking at it from a business perspective, they already had s8 confirmed and they are probably expecting the same level of exposure they got from Buck being bi to come from Eddie being queer, especially because Eddie being queer means buddie going canon, so delaying Eddie's arc because they want to make the most of the publicity makes sense (rip Eddie confirmed queer by family feud, we will make it true, I promise), it would explain why Ryan changed his tune during the promo for 707 and 709, but switch back after 710 and it would also explain why Buck was pushed to the background during that space too. Tim keeps saying he doesn't have a plan, while I do believe he doesn't have the exact plot, I REFUSE to believe someone can manage to setup a love story like buddie accidentally and just going with the flow. A show is a living organism in a way a book or a movie won't be because it needs to adjust to the circumstances in which it's airing, but I cannot believe they don't have some sort of outline with the ideas they want to give, the general way they want to get there and the endgame of the situation. And I've been saying this since s6 and the very blatant switch in tone with Buck and Eddie in 6b when they thought they were gonna get cancelled that they promptly pretended wasn't there once s7 started. If I, a girl with a blog in the middle of nowhere Brazil getting absolutely nothing out of it, can see that buddie can accomplish something that doesn't exist in media, there isn't a slow burn queer relationship where both characters were not introduced as queer that go through so much together they can't help but falling in love in a media that isn't about queer themes, hell, I can't think of one from something about queer themes, you think people who have been working on this for years can't see it too? Come on, Oliver knows that Buck ending up with walmart Eddie is worst case scenario when compared to the thing he could have if buddie goes canon. And Ryan is his friend, Buck is this thing he pours his soul into, of course he will want the best possible thing there. He so is judging the other side. Dude admitted to crying in the shower to buddie edits. They read fanfiction. Like, come oooooon, they are driving the clown car, cocaptains of the ship.

Hi, first of all, I'm so sorry for the late response! 😣

I'll do my best, anon, but there's a lot of episodes, and I can't remember all of them 😩 I've actually been comfort watching Run bts while I've been sick and I would definitely recommend watching all of the episodes from the very beginning because the show is hilarious and so entertaining and it's a great introduction to the members personalities and their dynamics with each other. Run bts seriously has some of my favourite bts moments of all time! It might be my favourite content out of everything 😁

Episode 13/14 - maknae line are in a team together so there's plenty of taekook.

Episode 36 - Not a whole lot of taekook, but there's two really cute moments where Jungkook feeds Tae.

Episode 40 - There are quite a lot of taekook moments, especially when they're playing the red light, green light game. Taehyung's attention is all on Jungkook.

Episode 51 - This episode is jam-packed with taekook! They're on a team together and they just have the time of their life playing on the rides. Look at them holding hands 🥹

Episode 56 - Taekook stick together a lot as bts plays games, and then there's the extra cute moment where Tae checks up on Jungkook when he's cooking ramen.

Episode 61/62 - Multiple cute taekook moments during these episodes. They were very playful with each other.

Episode 102 - Taekook are paired up to cook together and it's pretty hilarious but also very domestic and soft, with Jungkook watching over Tae so that he doesn't hurt himself.

Episode 116/117 - There's several cute moments with taekook, including them giggling together in their own little world and lots of taekook karaoke.

Episode 145 - Tae helping Jungkook with his mission and then protecting him 🥺

I know there's plenty more episodes with a lot of taekook, but that's all I can think of right now. I'd also recommend watching the Run bts behind clips because sometimes there's taekook moments in there that were not included in the episode.

From Broken Bow to Calypso - Check-In #9 - Strange New Worlds Season 2.

It's more Star Trek by Stardate rewatch.

2/24/25 - 141 - The Broken Circle - This is one of those "I have a lot of quibbles about the details, but the plot was fun enough to ignore them" episodes. Spock being reckless and immediately going to "I'mma steal the ship" certainly is A Look, but hey, it worked. Pelia is introduced and I immediately love her. Still sad we had to lose Hemmer to get her, though. Carol Kane is so good here. Another "Sigh ok HOW LONG does it take them to travel to non-Starfleet shared Klingon territory? A few hours? At Warp Five? Sure, Jan." thing. But I said I wouldn't nitpick, oops. Glad the Klingons are back to looking mostly like their normal selves. I'm also not a fan of the Battle Juice that M'Benga and Chapel take. I think in general I'm not as big of a fan as M'Benga's S2 arc as his S1 arc, but I WILL say holy shit the cinematography and the LOOK when M'Benga gets his battle on and starts protecting Chapel when her juice runs out. Peck is great in the "You don't die!" scene, as well as the Bloodwine scene at the end, though. They're all super lucky this all worked out and nobody got court-martialed! Real tears at the very end, though, with the episode being dedicated to Nichelle Nichols.

2/24/25 - 142 - Ad Astra per Aspera - The even better second half of the opener. Pike's pretty badass just trying to breathe at the beginning. But I mean, honestly, with the very first few seconds of Neera Ketoul being on screen, she absolutely commands the episode. Can't take my eyes off her. What an amazing character. I had honestly forgotten who turned Una in until La'an's part in it (or lack thereof) was revealed. What a great speech/defense by Una, and after watching Those Old Scientists, the Ad Aspera thing is even more resonant. But it's Neera Ketoul's closing argument that really brings this all together. Loved this episode, a truly excellent courtroom drama ep, and I'm glad everything works out for Una.

2/25/25 - 143 - Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow - I remember loving this episode but I loved it even more this time. I mean it's a little crappy for the rest of the cast that Kirk comes in and is handed a starring role in basically every ep he's in but really worth it here. He and La'an are so good together, characters and actors. The story is really good, both as a "time travel to modern times" episode and just plotwise overall. The visit to Pelia is especially great (and does the "future knowledge" trope well.) I sure hope the lady that got caught shoplifting didn't go through too many troubles. I also wish we would have gotten some Road Trip La'an/Kirk shenannigans. BTW the first time through I totally thought the Romulan was Cristin Milioti, and so I figured she was the big bad pretty quick, they wouldn't bring her in without a juicy part!! Except that I was wrong about her being Cristin Milioti haha. La'an's pain at losing Jim is so real, both when he's shot, and then later back in her quarters. That feeling of FINALLY finding someone you connect with only to lose them and be alone again? Ouch.

2/25/25 - 144 - Among the Lotus Eaters - This was definitely not my favorite SNW episode. I do love the stuff with Batel and Pike! They're great for each other. The story on the planet is fine, basic Star Trek stuff by the numbers. Not bad, not great. It's fine! I think I was mostly disappointed in this episode because I was really excited for the Ortegas episode and although she got a decent amount of screentime, we got little more information about her. We already know she flies the ship (and is great at it!) I know about the BTS stuff with Melissa Navia, so I get it! I just hope S3 she gets the strong episode she's overdue for!

2/26/25 - 145 - Charades - Kicking off the Season 2 Hijinks Trilogy is the Human Spock episode. Way more fun than when B'Elanna becomes fully human later on! Amanda is the best mom ever, and she continues to be great here. Honestly have a hard time empathizing with Christine here, she IS trying to be the best friend possible, and Spock IS more or less returning her feelings but knowing how this relationship ends, I'm mostly just like NOOOOOOO about it. T'Pring is GREAT. She's so tolerant of the Spock stuff and she has said and made it clear she loves him as he is. And then Spock doesn't trust her AND has feelings behind her back. T'Pring deserves better and though I'm glad she eventually gets it, still in shock realizing it takes 8 years to get there. Anyway, T'Pring's dad is the standout other character here, would really like to see him away from his wife. He seems like the most fun Vulcan we've met who doesn't belong at T'Pring's workplace.

2/26/25 - 146 - Lost in Translation - A real standout episode for Uhura, and the temporary return of Hemmer, even if it is all in Uhura's head. I love that this episode also establishes Uhura and Kirk's strong friendship right out the gate. Would have loved a little more time for La'an and Kirk here, but the episode was packed. Really liked the conflict between Una and Pelia, they're very different people and sometimes people don't get along. I thought the solution that it was aliens being hurt by the refinery was pretty obvious. Didn't make it clear if it was the aliens making everyone ELSE besides Uhura and Ramon act out of sorts, but it doesn't seem like it. Personnel disputes that keep huge projects from launching happen anywhere, anytime I guess. Pretty torn on the last scene. On one hand, it's a really nice visual and nostalgia kick to have Uhura, Kirk and Spock hanging out together. OTOH, feels like a very anticlimactic way for K/S to FINALLY meet. At least Nyota introduced them. Also, Memory Alpha points out the coincidence(?) that in ST2009 and here, Kirk and Uhura meet in a bar and Kirk gets punched in the face not long after as a consequence of talking to her, lol.

2/26/25 - 147 SNW/LDS - Those Old Scientists - (Note, I talk so much about this episode it's the first time tumblr is forcing me to use line breaks in an episode text block lol.) Honestly, this is one of my top 5 favorite episodes in all of Trek. In fact, it's the only episode I'm going to watch TWICE. This time, from a SNW perspective, and next time in order for Lower Decks, from that perspective. So whenever someone from SNW is in a scene, I'm mostly thinking about how they're dealing with these chaos gremlins from the future. It's really jarring to start in LDS land, anyone watching through Trek by Stardate their first time is really going to be scratching their heads until Boimler blasts out of the portal. Man, it is just such an awesome thing to see Boimler and later Mariner "live" though. Imagining those first few seconds after Boimler passes out, and Spock and Co. looking at this guy going "I guess he's Starfleet? What a weird uniform but he has the Delta?" Spock probably confirming Chronitons or whatevs that he's from the future.

And OH MY GOD the animated opening (with all 4 of the Lower Deckers in the credits) SO beautifully done. Also SO funny with the space creature on the Enterprise's nacelle. Five minutes in and the episode is already AMAZING. First-timers would also be BAFFLED at Boimler's "Computer end program?" It's SUCH a good line because of COURSE that's what Boimler would default to, anyone from the era would! And Boimler RIGHT away starts sowing chaos and can't hold his emotions together. I love that La'an cautions Boimler to not get attached, though, she's really going through it. The whole mini-plot with Uhura learning to loosen up a bit more is really good, I love it a lot, though it is a bit weird that Uhura is using the ready room as her study quarters, but Pike probably offered it to her to have a quiet place to research.

I also love the little subplot with Pike indulging Boimler a little because of Boimler's admiration of Pike, giving him a little sliver of hope that maybe his future isn't so bad. But trying to contain Boimler definitely is corralling a toddler, and I could see people watching this episode before LDS getting exasperated with Boimler by now a little. The bar scene is great with Ortegas and Chapel, SO much fun, and then it all goes wrong for Chapel when Boimler hints at her about Spock's future. It honestly kind of sucks that we saw basically none of them as an actual couple before Boimler spoils it, but also way to go episode for doing so much character development and moving the story along in this hijinks ep. But then, of course, he tells PIke he has Really Great Hair, and Pike is flattered all over again and keeps indulging him. That and the "Just don't look" part… just amazing. NEVER fails to make me laugh.

And then the hijinks increase when Mariner shows up. Which turns Boimler into the "responsible" one. Mariner is even more of a chaos gremlin and I don't think the SNW crew is ready for her. Boimler working with Spock to make the horonium is such a great scene, I wish we got even more of those two, and Mariner is the perfect person to get Uhura to lighten up. Love that they gave Erika a win there, too. Both Boimler and Mariner have such cool little nudges on the crew! I'm not sure that the pinup poster conversation with Una QUITE works but maybe that was still a thing in SNW times and not LDS. Boim's plan to steal a shuttle is dumb, and not gonna work, but it is such a Boimler & Mariner thing to try. And as a consequence, Pike gets more confirmation of his future, but also Boims and Mariner nudge him, TOO. It's also SO emotional for me when they have the scene in Engineering, and talk about the NX-01, and namedrop Travis and Hoshi. I teared up this time. I miss those two so much! (But of course, Travis doesn't get a whole middle school named after him, JUST the gym! JFC SOMEONE THROW TRAVIS MAYWEATHER A WIN.)

After having just watched Una's trial episode, her reaction at learning what the poster in Boimler's bunk is is SO good, also so emotional. That's four emotional bumps those two give the crew. And the end scene on the Cerritos with them having Ransom call Una Hottest First Officer is one of those that's a little "ew?" if you don't know the story and very "awwww" if you do. And the genius that put the SNW crew in LDS animation? I want to shake their hand. God, this entire episode is near perfection. I've watched it at least five times, including the night before I'm typing this and now I want to go watch it again.

2/27/25 - 148 - Under the Cloak of War - Annnnnd coming off one of my favorite episodes is my least favorite episode of SNW. Look, I admire what they were trying to do, the story is big important as to the horrors of war and the effects it has, but its SUCH a hard watch. Babs and Jess are great, the guest star is fantastic, and hey Clint Howard's near-requisite appearance. But… I do not enjoy this episode. And I know you're not supposed to. But I was glad it was over once it was done.

2/27/25 - 149 - Subspace Rhapsody - Whew, a whiplash back to the third and final Hijinks episode of the season. And I love this one, too. They did great making the reason for the singing fit! And… everyone can sing! I love most of the songs. TBH not a fan of Una's two songs, to no fault of her own. La'an's and Uhura's are highlights, as is Chapel's breakup song. La'an's confession to Jim is SO well done, though I feel like her emotions were heightened enough for a song, but the moment didn't need it. Is it canon-breaking that Jim knows about Carol being pregnant here? I thought Kirk had no idea. But I guess I'll figure out when we get to Wrath of Khan. Having Bruce Horak as the Klingon commander was also fantastic, and the Klingon K-pop is great, as is the Big Finish production. This episode is cheesy but I love it a lot.

2/27/25 - 150 - Hegemony - Another fantastic horror episode with the Gorn. Still don't like them as the enemy but damn this episode nails it. A bit unrealistic that out of EVERYONE on Batel's ship, only Chapel survives but hey, it's a plot. Putting Pike and Batel's relationship a big part of this is also great, it makes the ending work even more. My favorite part of this episode is the appearance of Scotty, though. I was so excited the first time we heard him speak and I was like "What's with the Scottish acc--- HOLY SHIT IT'S SCOTTY" I yelled the last part out loud right before he introduced himself. I cannot WAIT for more Scotty+Pelia interaction the next season or two. And hey, an actual Scottish actor playing Scotty! The fight with the one Gorn on the saucer section of the Cayuga is pretty cool, though. And then they gave us the Best of Both Worlds ending. It's been a year and a half now, Paramount, give us the damn third season!

SNW SEASON 2 FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall, I think S2 is more uneven than S1. What, a Star Trek Series where season one is the strongest season (so far!) Really breaking the mold there. But that doesn't mean S2 is BAD... the highs I think are higher but the lows (Lotus Eaters, Cloak of War) are just lower.

But also some all-time greats here, all three hijinks episodes and Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow are way up there, Ad Astara and Lost in Translation are great, too.

I think, as I'll talk about a bit more early on in TOS reviews, overall I think SNW is SO good and SO strong, but it does canon break TOS enough to be annoying in some regards, Chapel and Spock in particular. Things that people refused to forgive in Discovery seem to get a pass from the fandom here, though. But, if you're going to canon-break any series, it's probably going to be TOS, it's not like SNW has a monopoly on that. It's just easier to scrutinize since it's the immediately preceding series.

I just really need them to actually release S3 soon. And get to making S4 (I hear it's in pre-production?) And also get renewed for seasons 5 through 7, at a minimum.

Are we all just gonna overlook TikTok!OP calling Bob Dylan a "niche underground obscure singer"????? BOB DYLAN? One of the most influential artists of the 20th century?? THE MAN HAS BEEN AWARDED BOTH A PULITZER AND A NOBEL PRIZE FOR HIS SONGWRITING, to say nothing of his Grammy/Oscar/Golden Globe wins. He's in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. His songs have been recorded by over 2,000 artists. He's been called "the Shakespeare of his generation."

All that to say, he's about as "niche" or "obscure" as Elvis Presley or the Beatles (who cited Dylan as a direct inspiration on their work, actually). please tell me you've at least heard of Elvis and the Beatles

Look, I recognize that people born in a year beginning with 2 probably haven't been exposed to enough music of earlier generations to be able to recognize it, or even draw connections between artistic influences (and don't get me started on the removal of humanities like music appreciation from our schools, I have Opinions). But if you have heard of Bob Dylan at all, you should know that he is far from an unknown artist. He is one of the giants of the music world. His work is so widely recognized as an important literary and cultural milestone that it's a frequent subject of dissertations and doctoral theses.

Pop culture does not develop in a vacuum, and many, MANY modern artists are still directly influenced by Dylan's work. If you've listened to any artist from the past 50 years who has employed lyrics to criticize things like modern society, the state of race relations, acts of war, political themes, etc., that's all Dylan. His emphasis on lyrics as poetry and songs as vehicles of social commentary (believe it or not, those were new and revolutionary concepts at one time!) changed popular music irrevocably. He's been credited with inspiring the entire punk rock movement.

He's also sold upwards of 145 million albums, and currently ranks as the 33rd best-selling recording artist of all time, putting him ahead of artists like BTS, David Bowie, Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Prince, Adele, Paul McCartney, and so on. And that's just his own recordings, not counting the hundreds of songs that he wrote and other artists recorded.

Anyway, he's super famous, not some underground indie guy nobody's heard of, which is probably why he's getting a biopic starring everyone's pet waif Timothee Champagneflute.

Also... he's, uh, not Black. (Reggae pioneer Bob Marley, however, is.)

I can’t believe it’s JK day😣😣😣

I think one of my fav jk moments is just the whole of run bts 84 (it was one of my first run bts eps that I watched and I just remembered being enamored by jk the whole video) and run episodes 145-147, I really just loved those episodes so much bc I laughed so hard and remembering how jk was when they kept accusing him as the mole was so endearing, like I really just love everything about him

I also love when his lisp comes out, it’s just so 😊😊 to me

And still with you💔💔💔💔 it was actually one of the first bts songs in general that I heard (I knowww I’m a 2020 army😋) but i remember I was in such a dark space at the time and i would listen to the song at night trying to fall asleep, so it holds sm sentimental value to me, it’s literally written in my top 10 fav songs of all time truly.

I literally love everything abt JK and I hope he spent his birthday happy and loved, like omg I just love JK🥲🫂
